The door in door refrigerator I purchased had multiple icemaker problems so after multiple calls to the service center they arranged to pickup that unit and replaced it with a brand new unit. Thank you.

The dishwasher is fairly quiet. It has several wash options as well as a separate dry option. The racks fold down so you can put large or unusual shaped items in it. It is pretty but the stainless streaks more than I would have liked. All and all, it works good. I would recommend this dishwasher. Works better than others I have used. Fairly decent price for the quality you get.

Lets start with a Samsung refrigerator, model RF260BEAEBC/AA, that had a failed ice maker in first six weeks. After working with Samsung call center to do troubleshooting, no change. Now with outsourced service company, USSI, who can be reached for updates through a toll number, not even a toll-free 800 number. Company has not vested interest in Samsung product quality, as they service other brands also. We will be without ice maker for nine days before the hoped-for Monday call from service to schedule a service visit. I can tell you, the USSI call center rep was about as cool and indifferent to my problem and the delays as you can get. In the future, will try to stay away from products where company is not fully invested in the warranty and service aspect.

The 1st Samsung fridge that I purchased from Bad Boys had both doors damaged. It took Samsung months to replace the doors via Elite Appliances...Bad Boys did not agree to replace the unit. The 2nd Samsung fridge that I purchase in June 2014 from Lowes (counter depth/all my appliances are Samsung..) is very loud. It sounds like a tractor. A tech attended my residence. He agreed that it was very loud. He opened the door to take a pic of the serial no. The noise stopped. He did not want to wait till the noise started again so he asked me to recorded and email it to him which I did. A few days later I received a text message from Elite Appliance advising that Samsung advised them that the sound was normal. I re contacted Samsung. I was advised that in case the tech determines that the sound was normal, I would be charged for the service. I booked the service anyway.

Purchased four new stainless steel appliances together in 2013 one being the Samsung french door refrigerator. I was warned about this from a few of my friends as they made that mistake and had extensive problems with ice maker and water dispenser. Despite their warnings, I bought one anyway believing theirs were non-typical occurrences and ours would be fine based on how much they cost. In less than a year, the ice maker failed and refused to work at all - had worked intermittently prior to then, but I chipped ice off the auger thinking that was just a fluke. Unfortunately, I did not feel like spending an additional $350 for more coverage on a brand new item and trusted it would last longer, so we go without ice.Next, loud noise coming from a fan which worsened over less than two weeks, then stopped altogether. Now fridge at 45 deg and warm items, primarily noticeable with the milk. Secondly, under normal use, the door flapper between the doors failed and has to be held with a hand to shut! Finally bit the bullet and called Sears where we purchased it and scheduled service. After trying to sell us a monthly service agreement for all appliances promising 50% off if we signed, I opted for just the repair which was an apparent plugged auto defrost drain hose which caused ice to build up around fan and fails to permit cooling. $500 + dollars later they have parts on order with a repair date of 12/10. All this for a NEW fridge. Samsung sucks and I regret selling the old reliable simple fridge that came with the house and was already 10+ years old at least!! I will definitely deter anyone from buying Samsung refrigerators when I can - garbage and I truly believe are built to fail which guarantees more money for their parts (job security) and their retailer for service costs - in this case Sears. BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT PURCHASE SAMSUNG!!!

We liked the middle drawer and the fact that you can open a little door to get drinks out without opening a regular door. Will NEVER buy Samsung ANYTHING again. The right side door started on day 1 making a horrid noise when shutting. This took three service calls so far. Seems to be okay after third fix! Then ice maker froze solid, couldn’t even pull out the tray/bucket. So to fix it, we had to unplug the fridge for several days before they came to repair it. Because of a problem with a different fridge that we put our stuff in for those three days, we lost all food from the fridge. So they came and put in a new ice maker with updates from Samsung. Uh, well, now 3 months later, we have an ice maker completely frozen solid again. Unbelievable! And now out of warranty. We had moved from a GE Profile kitchen in which nothing had a problem for 15 years, and mistakenly chose Samsung! What happened to this country wherein these companies can sell subpar crap for outrageous amounts. This goes for TVs as well, that only last a couple years if you are lucky!

Bought A Samsung Refrigerator 4-1/2 years ago. Bacteria, smell, banging noise, temperature went to 64 degrees. I called Samsung. Warranty only covers compressor and seals. Cost would be $500. I urge consumers not to buy Samsung appliances. I have a wash machine that was recalled and my Microwave and oven are also in bad shape and they are also under 5 years old. Currently Buying a GE fridge! NEVER AGAIN SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!! Look at ratings before you purchase!!!

Unit is a slide in model. Stove top heats quickly and two of the large burners have multi size heat areas. Oven temperature is accurate, easily holds two large dutch ovens simultaneously, has a large viewing window and a bread proofing function. I would prefer that the oven racks move more freely with heavy items. Glass top covers that edges and prevents food particles from dropping between. I would purchase again.

I paid well over $2000 for a Samsung French Door refrigerator just about 4 years ago, and it has given me nothing but problems. I had issue with the door, seals around the freezer, the ice maker, finally the motor that cools the refrigerator. I am making a promise to myself that I will never ever buy another piece of appliance from Samsung, and will convince any of my family and friends to not buy that brand either. I hope they go out of business soon. They should not be allowed to sell their kinks to consumers and scamming thousands of dollars from families.

I am tired and fed up! I bought a side by side refrigerator and have no success getting resolution for the ice buildup which is constantly reoccurring in the back of my unit. They have sent the technicians countless times without success. I received a call from Samsung last week to ask me how things were. I told them that it was still doing the same thing after the many visits. Each time a technician showed up, they stated that they were not going to be able to fix the issue but had to initiate the specific instructions for repair before Samsung would provide a voucher or some other method of enabling me to go and get a replacement. When I talk to them the other night they created another case number with instructions. The tech came today, called Samsung and let them know that the refrigerator was not repairable as provided in the instructions. The rep on the phone said, It doesnt work like that. Well you know what else doesnt work like that? Willingly offering a product to the consumer which you know has repetitive like kind issues and failing to prevent a product with well-known and documented faulty design or function to be sold with intent of telling your customer; Im not going to make good on my promise, I really dont care that youre having issues, Im not interested in knowing whether you are happy or not and It doesnt work like that.I have been cooperative and have done everything I have been asked to do by your representatives and this has gone on for 2-1/2 months straight now. It seems clear that you have no intent on standing by your product. I believe your warranty policy is deceptive to say the least. I dont think Im asking too much. I got a problem, and I just want it fixed without further delay. It looks like there are plenty of others who share the same sentiment. I dont want to have to take legal action, please dont make me.

Two years into our ownership of this microwave (SMH9187WXAA), we are working on the third control panel. It is a known issue, common to this model microwave. Tens of thousands of these control panels all over the country (I dare say world) are being replaced every year. The tech who replaced the first panel was on his eighth that day; yesterdays tech who replaced the second panel was on his third. Samsung refuses to either replace my microwave or extend my warranty. How does one deal with an issue such as this? The microwave has a known and very widespread defect. That means it does not serve the purpose for which it was designed, and I purchased it. If I did that in my business, the Feds would be on my case. Who is pursuing Samsung in this case? Not Consumer Reports, who rated this microwave a Best Buy. I will be buying no more Samsung or General Electric appliances (Samsung makes many of GEs appliances, esp. their refrigerators).

I purchased a Samsung Model # ME18H704SFS Over the Counter Microwave April 17, 2017. I was away two months over this past winter, so the microwave was used about a year. It matched my new Samsung $1300.00 oven perfectly. One day last week, it just stopped working. We tried troubleshooting it and then called the company after that. Unfortunately, it was about 14 months since we purchased it and was no longer under warranty. After pleading the employee from Samsung for some help, they said to call a service center. I was told by two of them that they would charge me $100.00 nonrefundable for just coming (which I understand) and then parts and labor. He said if it is the motherboard or any other thing like that, it could cost $200.00 or more to repair with only a 90 day warranty. It breaks my heart but I had to throw it out. It was beautiful but did not work. I will never buy a Samsung product. We went to Consumers and found out it was rated most poorly. I now am in the process of purchasing either a Whirpool or Frigidaire since they got good ratings. We are heartsick about wasting all the money we spent over a year ago for this item. By the way, there was nothing wrong with my Kenmore over the counter microwave oven that was a Kenmore and 20 years old. It was white and we redid our kitchen in all stainless steel appliances. Fortunately, we gave it to someone who is still enjoying it. Please do yourself a favor and dont get sucked in with the Samsung company. They are unreliable appliances and really dont care about you once you buy their product.

We purchased this refrigerator because it was a very good looking refrigerator and Samsung usually has good products. First thing we had the problem was the LED light on front of refrigerator stopped working. Next problem we had was so does freezing and other things freezing in the refrigerator. Next problem we had with this refrigerator is refrigerator and freezer both quit working. And after this was fixed the next problem is the refrigerator will not get cold. Keeps going from 60 degrees down to 40 and back up again. The best way we could find to solve the problem was to get rid of this piece of junk.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher and 2 weeks out of warranty it failed and will not drain. I was told that they are sorry, but because it was purchased 1 year and 2 weeks before the failure, I will have to pay for all repairs. They said that they referred it to a company to have it repaired, but after a week had gone by and making multiple calls, I discovered they provided the repair company with the wrong phone number and email address for me. When I mentioned that I saw online that many people are having the same problem and that the dishwasher is built faulty, they told me that they appreciated my researching the issue, but it is out of warranty and basically, too bad.

I have a Samsung fridge, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. Everything works great except the dishwasher. It looks great from the outside. The control panel is on the top of the door, giving it a sleek look. However, it does a terrible job washing dishes. Dishes on the bottom and top racks both come out sticky with grime. If there are any food particles on a dish, this dishwasher will ensure that ALL the dishes are now covered in food. The dishwasher is also really, really, really slow. The cycle time is probably close to two hours. Anyway, Im happy with my other Samsung appliances, but buying a new dishwasher is high on my priority list. Dont buy a Samsung dishwasher. They suck. We use ours primarily as a drying rack for when I hand wash the dishes.

We purchased a Samsung RF28HFEDTSR French Door Refrigerator in 7/27/14 from Lowes. The ice maker never dispensed ice properly - slow and partially crushed on cube setting. The bottom Ice maker stopped working after 2 years. The top ice maker stopped working after 3 1/2 years now. It was freezing up - following Youtube advice we have been defrosting the back with a blow dryer for 2 months now. The fan is now making a very loud noise. We will have to call a repairman now. We will not buy anything Samsung again. This has been a disappointment since day one and we have called Samsung year ago to complain but since the warranty has expired they say call a repairman. We have had refrigerators in the past and most last at least 15 yrs. These are obviously defective refrigerators from reading complaints online, all mirroring our experience exactly.

Go on YouTube and you will find a multitude of complaints about the ice maker of this model. Samsung gave us a run around on leveling the refrigerator. I have leveled it from every conceivable spot, adjusted the front so the wheels are off the ground per their instructions and I now have to manually defrost the ice maker every 7-10 days. It used to be every 3 weeks but has deteriorated. I defrosted it November 1st 2019 and had to defrost it again today November 10th 2019. From the number of complaints there should be a general recall of this poorly designed and engineered product.

We have had the worst experience ever with our Samsung fridge. I was so excited to get it. It was really nice and had lots of room. But from the start it never made much ice. The ice maker kept going out and they sent repairmen out a few times to fix it. We eventually got a new fridge and had the exact same problem. We got this one “repaired” 5 times before they finally admitted it was unfixable and agreed to a refund. The refund process has been a nightmare and we have been dealing with it for 7 weeks now. We have been told different info from different agents. We have been put on hold to be transferred to supervisors and then hung up on. We have been told we would get emails with no contact. It’s been a joke. We were told 2 days ago that the refund was approved and we just need to wait for an email. I called back yesterday and got hung up on 3 different times. I called back today and was told it’s not approved yet and was given MORE excuses as to why. I don’t recommend anyone to EVER buy a Samsung appliance! If you ever have to deal with their customer service or refund department, you will go insane and it’s not worth it. Just don’t waste your money in the first place! I know I never will again.

Purchased Samsung Black Stainless French Door - bottom freezer on 6/10/17.
Purchased Samsung Black Stainless French Door - bottom freezer on 6/10/17. Freezer stopped working in 4/2019. Samsung said they would do a 1 X free parts - I would have to pay labor (or vice versa). Warranty was up (less than 2 years since purchase). They entered a wrong phone on service request - not just a wrong number but something made up like: 12345678 which cancelled my appointment because service provider could not reach me. Called them back and they told me they were sorry and because of this they would also pay both the labor and parts. Meanwhile I had researched what could have been wrong and found quite a few google answers that people experienced same thing and it was the evaporator motor. I relayed that to service provider so if they brought that part it would be fixed sooner than later. (Side note at this point we also had to buy a freezer so all the food we stocked up on during pandemic didnt end up in the garbage). They fixed it. Several months later both the refrigerator and freezer stopped working. I called Samsung and immediately was told I would have to pay for repair. I questioned it ONLY. But was prepared to pay the $99 for a diagnostic. They put in service ticket and then noticed days later it was cancelled? I called them and they said we cancelled it because you refused to pay. I never refused to pay?!I ended up called the service provider - they sorted it out and I paid them $99 for house call. They diagnosed it as needing some kind of sealer and refrigerant and Samsung has lengthened the time of the warranty of that particular problem (probably must be an ongoing issue). They had to come back a week later. I was also told - it may or may not work. Sure enough end of May freezer died. Service provider could not come out until the 11th of June. Beginning of beginning of June 2020 refrigerator died as well. Had to throw out all perishables. So we got less than 3 years use. One correction - I communicated with Samsung through their CHAT option. I ended up cancelling the appointment today 6/9/20 and taking the loss and ordering a different brand that wont be delivered until 7/13/20. Horrible experience with this refrigerator. Purchase date: 6/10/2017 - Garbage date: 6/9/20.

Right after 5 year warranty expired the ice maker started overflowing causing the bottom freezer shelf to get stuck to the ice that formed on the cabinet bottom. Service call would have been $170 + parts - I have a hammer and was okay breaking up the ice. Now the compressor has died (less than 6 years in operation and the warranty on sealed parts ended at 5 years). What a piece of junk and Samsung customer service is an oxymoron - (sent emails to Director of N. Amer. Customer Service right after warranty expired for ice maker issue) with no reply. Never will I buy another Samsung product and am happy I have an iPhone not a Galaxy. $1600 for a unit that lasted less than 6 years - they should be ashamed of themselves...but that would require responsibility and customer service.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher in Jan 2014 model #DW80F600UTB/Aa - Do not buy this!!! First off it never dried the dishes then approx 6 month later it would stop in mid cycle blinking lights on panel. After a long hard researching & calling Samsung I was told the issue was the turbidity sensor, I replaced that & it worked for about 3 months. Then it started the same thing, now I am told its the main control panel.. (no I did not get extended warranty). I just got that part but unfortunately the part was bad so I have to send it back for a new one. The bottom line - do not buy this dishwasher. Its horrible. Samsung dishwasher is broken down again. DMR78AHS 3 years old. Immediately the plastic tabs for the upper rack adjuster broke off. This is a common problem and has happened 3 times. Warranty covered too. Once the tab jamming the pump causing error code LE. No warranty this time, $179 to fix. Next the door tension spring is attached with a nylon cord and runs over a plastic pulley. Cord broke, door came crashing down, another $179 labor and $20 parts for 2 cords. Today it will not turn on at all, no response from control pad. I guess another $179 down the drain. It washes so poorly that we only load it half full, plates in every other space and dont even think about putting dishes in without pre-rinsing. We are very disappointed in this appliance. We have spent the price of the washer in service calls. We filed a request with Samsung when the tab jammed the pump for reimbursement of the service call but were denied. We feel a class action suit is appropriate.

This dishwasher has been extremely disappointing. We bought all Better Samsung appliances when we bought our home and the Waterwall stopped cycling a few months after we bought it. It took about a month to get someone there to fix it (under warranty). 18 months later its not under warranty and it has failed again. I think we paid around $1,100.00 new so the cost of ownership has been over $350.00 a year. We read horror stories but thought that it was more likely that people upset with their purchase were more likely to leave reviews and that they were probably skewed. They werent. Ill start reading reviews to make our replacement purchase. Lesson learned.

Our 2 year old Samsung refrigerator went out a week ago. I called them and was told it would be 2 weeks before they can get there. So I called around Des Mioines to get someone to fix the unit and no one would service a Samsung. I called Lowes where I bought the unit and they were able to have someone out in two days. The evaporator had gone bad so it is under the 5 year warranty but we are now waiting 10 more days to get someone out to install it. I purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator in August 2014, Model RF217ACPHN/XAA. In April 2016, the inside iced over and began making clunking noises. I called an appliance tech who replaced a burned out coil. In less than two months, the back of the refrigerator iced over again, and the tech made another house call to de-ice. In the meantime, the ice maker stopped working. The icing has become a problem again, and the tech says he needs a main control, which he has been unable to order. I contacted Customer Service at Samsung to inquire about purchasing the part, but have received no answer. I am now defrosting the appliance and should know tomorrow whether I need to replace it or not. If I do, you can be assured it will not be another Samsung product! NO MORE SAMSUNG FOR ME!

I bought my refrigerator about three years ago from Lowes and they installed it. The next day, the ice maker quit working. They came back out and two days later, they replaced the ice maker. Two months later, the ice maker quit working again and they came back out and replaced that one. Ten months later, they had to replace it again and now its not working again. How long are these supposed to last? The model number is RF26VABBP; the BOM number RF26VABBP/XXA. Can you advise and tell where I can buy another one, as I know this is out of warranty now.

Ever since I got the Samsung dishwasher its been a complete nightmare. The dishes dont clean well at all. My old dishwasher that is over 15 years old that cleans way better. It sucks completely. I called in and all they did is a reboot. It didnt do nothing at all. It still kept cleaning terribly. Then a couple weeks later it stopped working and start making weird sounds. I put in a request to have them look at it since I was still underneath the one-year warranty and they said I would give a call back in 24 hours. I never heard anything for about 72 hours and when I call back to find out why I have not got a call they said somebody cancelled my order? Wow. I was so pissed off. Ive been waiting this whole time to find out that some rep has cancel my order. Then they told me that I can call the number if Id like but I still have to wait another 24 hours for someone to call me again. Its been a nightmare. I doubt theyre going to do anything because its been already a terrible experience.

DO NOT BUY FROM SAMSUNG. What a horrible piece of crap from a reliability perspective. Love the design and layout but... The icemaker starting leaking water, the fridge is 18 months old and I know it is out of warranty so I called a repairman (a trusted friend). He came to the house and said oh yeah I service Samsungs for this issue all the time, at least 5 or so a week. The icemaker and the auger unit needed to be replaced, $755, WHAT almost half the price I paid for the fridge itself. I looked online and the parts are over $400 at the cheapest place. I called Samsung and they said it is out of warranty and would not do anything to make me happy. I would call this a defect if the component is failing in less than 2 years, which according to my buddy he sees all of the time but what does Samsung care they are making a killing on repair parts on fridges that are less than 2 years old. I will never buy another product from this company and I suggest you dont either, complete junk.

Just bought refrigerator from Home Depot and had tech. come out three time to fix and still not working at all. They refuse to replace and would like to come out again to try and fix. I told them at Samsung that the tech. replaced every part to the freezer door including new draw rollers, gasket twice and then finally the last time a completely new draw and assembly and it is still broken. They insist they can still fix even though there are no parts left. I lost my mind talking to the idiots on the phone and I feel my only option left is to get an attorney involved. Also had repair 5 times on my Samsung micro. Stay away!!! I had a hard time giving 1 star, it would be more like -5.

I’ve had nothing but problems with my Samsung refrigerator. The refrigerator would leak water and freeze the upper tray above the freezer in place and could not be removed. The inside would collect water and I had to constantly remove the water with towels inside the refrigerator. The air vents would freeze over. I shut the water off to the ice maker and still water would fill the refrigerator. I had the repairs 5 to 6 times but it kept getting worse. This is the worse refrigerator I’ve EVER had and I will NEVER purchase another Samsung. It’s a true peace of junk. I will never buy another Samsung.

I purchased 4 new Samsung side by side refrigerators about 16 months ago. One by one they have failed in less than 16 months. I purchased four for an apartment complex and it was a costly mistake to say the least. After having Samsung customer service wear me down (they won that fight) I finally just gave up. I basically threw away $6,000.00. I was dumb enough to purchase Samsung without doing my homework, but Im not dumb enough to fix a pathetic product that wont last. No good money after bad here!!! So, I have given up on Samsung and going back to good old Whirlpool where I should have stayed in the first place. My problems were the same as everyone elses. Ice makers go bad, Blades rub on ice, motherboards go bad. Its amazing that with the internet the word never got out. Im just trying to do my small part to save someone else $$$.

I purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator model #RF23HCEDBSR/AA at Home Depot on July 4, 2016 to replace my still working 23 year old Kenmore refrigerator/freezer. I also purchased a 2 year extended warranty on it. Two weeks ago I noticed anything liquid being refrigerated was freezing solid. Internet research says most likely the main control board has failed and will need to be replaced. The part runs about $130. I contacted Home Depot and they gave me the purchase order number but claim that I didnt purchase an extended warranty. Unfortunately, I cant locate my receipt. I did register the fridge with Samsung. I contacted Samsung and they advised me the fridge was out of warranty. To have it serviced would cost $160 just to come to my home and diagnose it. Parts and labor would be extra. So Im looking at a minimal of $300 to fix something that shouldnt have crapped out after fifteen months. After reading that thousands of other US consumers are dealing with similar issues with their Samsung appliance purchases, Im convinced this will be my last Samsung purchase until they make good on customer complaints and take action concerning quality control.

I am having the same issues that was stated by Sandy. I was and am very disappointed that I feel Samsungs marketing is not telling the truth about this stove. The tech came out today and told me that even though my stove says 350 degrees, it is not because Samsung wanted the energy star rating and that the stove is actually 265 and needs another 15 minutes to be at temperature, even though the stove says 350. He said a lot of companies are doing that now so they can get the rating. The other thing that I am not happy is that the top part of the oven, that says you can bake, you really cannot. It is more of just a broiler. So all my stuff burns, but does not cook in the middle. This is not what I thought I was purchasing.

What a waste of nearly $900. Samsung has absolutely no customer service when theres a problem(s). Was no help on phone, had an online chat (India, of course) who was flipping through his instructions for code PE and I was told it was a half-load error, whatever and whoever does a half load? I can ditto everything in here, one code after another. Repairman (local) here 2x, replaced main board that didnt work. Did the cleanout cycle a few weeks back and was running well but now code 9E. Looked it upon net, tried the soap thing, NG. Tried banging on left side and running this time, but for how long? If I have to pull it out like another suggestion it WILL NOT GO BACK IN. BTW, the Samsung authorized dealer is 3 hours away! They sent one about 6 months after I got it for rust appearing on the outside of the door and he said rust was not under warranty. This is a stainless steel, inside and out, and theres rust? I agree, NO MORE SAMSUNG! I hope the microwave holds out longer.

The fridge just started leaking water into area under crisper and found it to be a well documented issue on the internet of freezing behind the wall panel. It is a design flaw that Samsung refuses to accept ownership of. Samsung support was unhelpful and simply said if problem resumes to seek service. Really? I troubleshoot everything that was possible for me to check, service was dispatched from a company name of Nisi. I was told machine was out of balance and that they corrected the problem. Wrong. The problem still exists. Dispatched another young man on Friday and he noted on my ticket that he adjusted drain hose and that I should have no more problem. Wrong. The light was still blinking. I called again and they gave me a repair ticket number and the phone number for the same company that was out 2 times already and they told me they would not come out because it was not installed properly, How did it work great for 2 months if it had not been installed properly. Waited a week for service dept to come to assess the problem with my refrigerator. Paid the service dept.$120.00 to tell me yes, its broken. Service came yesterday to tell me everything needs to be replaced. Water is pooling in the crisper, temp. not being held, sensor needs to be replaced, etc., etc... to the tune of 720.00. Now I have to wait 48 hours for a manager to get back to me. The refrigerator model # RF 263AERS was purchased in 2011 and is out of warranty. Cant believe that a refrigerator that cost over $1,000.00 should only last 7 years. Why do I have to wait 48 hours for a manager to talk to me. Lets start with rust. Within the first 8 months, the entire front of this stainless, EXPENSIVE refrigerator that I bought at HOME DEPOT, was COVERED in rust spots. Home Depot said to look to the manufacturer warranty. However Samsung wouldnt do ANYTHING because they said that it did not affect functionality. The HECK?! If you bought a brand new car and it was covered with rust within the first year, heck, 3 years, dont you KNOW that the manufacturer would have either replaced or corrected. This brand is for crap. Let go to functionality. The humidity controlled drawers do NOT control humidity. They are CONSTANTLY wet and RUIN the foods placed in them NO MATTER THE SETTING. We have to keep towels in the bottom or take up space with boxes of Arm&Hammer. Ridiculous. The setting print on the drawers has already begun to WASH OFF, yes WASH OFF with just regular wipe downs. This year and a half old fridge looks and functions as if its TEN years old. I cant wait to get rid of it. Maybe Ill buy one of their cell phones and blow it up. The ICE MAKER... Also terrible. The ice doesnt fall evenly or have a guard on the back. So all of the ice falls into the back of the tray. When you open it, a rush of ice falls out the back of the freezer drawer. No idea how much is back there at this point. I suppose Ill have to get it out eventually... Somehow. Smaller inconveniences: The shelves in this fridge are completely white, not clear. So any small jar or other item you have stored in them will never be seen. And will likely be forgotten. Additionally, the glass shelves are not removable like so many other refrigerators. So if you experience a spill, theres no way of getting the substance out of the crevices of the plastic and the glass. I literally hate this refrigerator. Its utterly worthless. And is NOT QUIET. If youre looking to buy a fridge and interested in this one, Ive got one Ill sell ya CHEAP.

I have owned a Samsung French door, bottom freezer, model RF197ACWP for a year and a half and have had pooling of water under and inside the crispers and a layer of ice forming in the bottom of the freezer. This is apparently a common problem with this model, a manufacturing defect. I have never experienced any issues with any refrigerators I have owned in such a short period of time. The last refrigerator I owned lasted 15 years without problems and the one before that 20 years! Also, just after a year with this inferior product, the white door handles started to peel, exposing polished chrome or steel. I thought the cosmetic damage was the worst of my complaints! I am a 73 yo Veteran and have had a dishwasher all my life. This Samsung dishwasher (Model #AA3JAG9MC&05835Y) is the worst I have ever owned starting with the dumb design of the dish racks that make your glasses fall over and dished roll when the rack is pulled out or pushed in. The worst problem is that it does not clean the dishes, I have been embarrassed several times when guests poured a drink and then dumped it when they saw the glass was not clean. I wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher and still have to put a lot back in the dishwasher when they come out dirty. Ran the dishwasher twice yesterday and the dishes and glasses still come out dirty. Samsung wants me to spend my money to have their reps come out to fix the problem. Not going to happen, will throw out the Samsung and buy another brand that does what it is supposed to do.Also having problems with my Samsung Grand Prime cell phone. Friends are cursing me for not answering my phone only to find out that the ringer has changed from sound to vibrate or do not disturb WITHOUT my knowledge. Samsung can correct by a simple LOCK function on settings but after numerous calls and requests Samsung did nothing to correct the problem. Same problem as Ashok of San Diego - the water dispenser on our Samsung refrigerator turned itself on around 2am and kept running, flooding our kitchen. The onboard computer threw error code PC ER and shut down the entire machine (except for closing the water valve), not even the light inside would go on when we opened the door. It made a huge mess. We now know from reading this board and from several other sources that there have been numerous problems with ice/water dispensers across many Samsung models. Our model # is RSG257AARS and the unit is just 2 months out of its 1 year warranty. We contacted @SamsungSupport via Twitter. They were polite but will do nothing to stand behind their product. Granted we just missed the warranty period but this is an established, well documented, and widespread problem, an obvious design/manufacturing defect (just read this board!). Rhetorically, who ever heard of a water dispenser turning itself on overnight and causing a flood? Is that not egregiously unacceptable for a one year and two month old, very expensive appliance? Our trusted, local appliance repair guy says it would cost $600 to fix, as the PC ER code represents a massive electronics failure. He doesnt even want to tackle the job at all because he thinks that even with replacement parts installed, its very likely to reoccur due to the low quality of Samsung components, and he doesnt want to be responsible. He researched and found that Samsung has huge problems with its water/ice makers. We purchased the fridge at Lowes, thinking we were getting a good price relative to competitors products, given the features and sleek (looking) design. You get what you pay for, folks. Dont fall for the pretty face. I will never, ever buy another Samsung appliance and I will continue to be vocal about my experience in hope that I can persuade others to avoid doing so also.

I purchased this microwave (M/W) Microwave Model SMH9187ST/XAA a little over three years ago. First, after a few months of use the turntable stopped working. I could fix it myself with not much expense. Thanks to Youtube. Then after a few months the handle broke. By this time the M/W was over one year old. So, I called the customer service. Since it was already a few weeks over one year, they refused to take care of it. I then fixed it myself. The next was the Touch Panel which stopped working. I called Samsung Tech support who again refused to take care of the problem. So, I purchased the Touch Panel and fixed it again. Now the inside light stays on 24/7 and fan comes on the moment door is closed. Only way to stop it from running is unplug every time I am done using the M/W. Again, I called Samsung. As at least some of you have experienced, it takes minimum 30 minutes for someone to pick up your phone. Again, they refused to take care of the problem and said a service tech would call me to set up an appointment at my cost. Since then I called over 7 times in the past two weeks (I kept a log), nobody called back. Finally after a testy conversation, I asked them to give me their service techs number and I called them myself to set up an appointment. Now waiting for the service tech to show up and give me the dreaded figure for repair or pay the service charge. Will NEVER buy Samsung appliance again. Repacking a door when you just need the seal! The cost of a gasket $20 maybe, but the entire door is what they want to sell me at $250. just to get a new bottom door seal. Highway robbery. I will never buy your product again. Totally ridiculous! This dishwasher still looks great but it is being trashed. Can’t use it, leaks water all over the floor without the gasket. I won’t waste any more fixing this product. Buying a new Whirlpool! Never buy Samsung Dishwashers!

We recently purchased a group of samsung appliances at lowes. In new lenox illinois. Within one week the dishwasher flooded our kitchen with water. The lowes corporate claims office approved a company paul davis to tear out the damaged kitchen. They did that and dried out the kitchen after waiting three weeks. The lowes corporate claims handler jill ** approved this work. Then after all was torn out and dried she called us and told us lowes is not covering our damage. This is truly a scam. She said they found a piece of glass in the drain hose. Remember this machine only ran a few times in a week. Well needless to say they will not fix my kitchen. They offered to pay for the litigation and the deductible but I need to use my own insurance! Can anyone help me on how to proceed? Very upset and will never tell anyone to use lowes or Samsung again! If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks.

I purchased a Samsung gas stove in September 2020. In January of 2021 my wife and I noticed that the paint and clear coat was chipping off of the stove. I called Samsung to let them know about the problem and after a week and a half of playing phone tag a representative of the company informed me that the chipping paint is NOT covered under the warranty. Now we purchased the extended warranty and still had PLENTY of warranty left but in order for Samsung to fix the paint chipping we would have to PAY for the work. My recommendation is to NOT buy anything from Samsung unless you would like to pay $1300 for a black stainless steel stove only for it to have a 1” paint chip missing after 4 months.

Not sure which model I have as the user manual is for all three, but after reading the reviews I guess it doesnt matter much. We bought the dishwasher, along with a suite of Samsung appliances, refrigerator (one service call that took over a month and three visits to fix), microwave, stove and the wall of water dishwasher slightly more than a year ago. Well I know why they call it a wall of water, as that is what you will find on your floor! Weve had two service calls at a cost of $160 on the dishwasher and now, based on the horrendous number of reviews and stories have decided that putting more money in it is foolish. The Samsung dishwasher is the most expensive dishwasher weve ever owned and proves that old saying you get what you pay for is dead wrong.

We purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator from Home Depot in Feb. 20
We purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator from Home Depot in Feb. 2014. First problem - within weeks of purchase was that the vegetable drawer had no control for air/temp, fresh veggies died quickly, even carrots and root veggies. We bought $100 of special containers to be able to keep food as fresh as the old fridge. Then within the first two months, we began hearing the often-reported fan noise from ice buildup. This got worse over time and I finally called for service, also complaining about the veggie drawer. Prior to that scheduled service being performed, the next issue was the ice maker failing to shut off, even with the door open and jiggling the paddle switch. Another call to Samsung to add the new problem to the fan noise.Service arrived a week later, with a wrong ticket number, no warranty information, and no parts even for the known issue. The tech corrected the paperwork, inspected and ordered parts. Samsungs Andy then called me after the service to see if repairs were completed, and I told them of the problems with the unit, as well as Samsung not providing proper information for the tech so the service was a failure. I was told we could qualify for a buyback, which I said would be taken into consideration, and was there a time limit. I was told no time limit since the service issues were reported within the 1yr warranty period. When the parts arrived, I called Samsung to explain we were seriously considering the buyback, but were in process with the previous service issues, and should I allow the service to take place. I was told to allow the service and did so. The service was performed, both issues I reported separately were handled together on one ticket. The entire back panel housing the fan was iced up, which the tech confirmed is not normal. The ice maker continued to repeatedly dump ice without stopping, jam, freeze up and require removal, thawing and drying, even after the service.By this time we have opted for the buyback, and phoned Samsung to request it. This time I was told by executive customer service member John, that what Andy told me was not how the buyback worked. Buyback could only happen if the unit is deemed non-repairable with three repair attempts. I explained I already made three service calls, had two repairs, as well as complaints on the drawer issue, and other aspects of the design and quality that were proving very annoying. Another service call was scheduled. This time the tech arrived and was briefed on the history and issues, along with our desire to take the buyback. He ordered a new control panel, which arrived and was installed on yet another service call. The new control did not display properly and was defective. It was removed and the old one installed in its place. I immediately called Samsung to complain about their total failure, and was told they did not yet have the service information from the tech, it should be there in a day.I called a week later to inquire on status, and this time was told by exec c.s. rep, Sherry that not only were there not enough service calls and parts replaced to qualify for a buyback, she had no info from the service company on the service. When she said she had to check to see if we were within some 30 day time limit on the buyback, after having specifically asked two exec c.s. people about any time limitation, I was angry to say the least. There were more communications with Samsung on status of the buyback, process, requirements, schedule, and was given different stories and reasons every single time. I called on 11-10-14 to inquire the latest status of the most recent ticket regarding the buyback process, and the exec c.s. rep told me they had only one ticket on their records; I have at least seven ticket numbers for these issues, four of them being the 510-number range generated only at the executive level. When the tech arrived today, 11-12-14 I made it clear that the only resolution is deeming the unit unrepairable. Because one of our reported issued included cracks in the interior refrigerator walls, the tech was able to get a status of nonrepairable from Samsung. In doing so, the tech had to communicate with both his company and Samsung. The first Samsung rep he spoke to was extremely rude, and actually hung up on the tech. The tech called back, reached a supervisor, and with a few more calls finally got the nonrepairable status. Now I am waiting for Samsung to respond. Under California law, we have endured more than enough repair attempts to qualify for the Lemon Law requirement to buyback or replace the unit. Needless to say, for the combination of poor design, poor quality, and downright insulting customer service, there will never be another Samsung product in our home.Other problems with the unit included poor freezer door fit, hung crooked and uneven, gaps between the inner and outer shell where the door seal must fit, may allow warm air in. The tech showed me how the ice dispenser door does not seal properly and is not well insulated, also letting warm air into the freezer compartment.Another little surprise we got, partially because of the imperfect door hanging, is that we didnt get the freezer door shut all the way one night, and I found it in the early morning hours. Cleared out the ice maker so it wouldnt freeze solid, closed the door and left it alone. Checking in the morning, the display showed the set temp standard of -2F and 38F, so I thought all was well. But when I came in for some ice at 2pm and opened the door, the freezer was 58F with ice cream running on the floor. The unit did not reset without unplugging and replugging, a surprise because we had a power outage of several hours some time ago and the unit was fine.So if you are considering Samsung, I suggest not. As a coincidence, as the tech was here today, a friend called and I told him what was going on, beginning to describe the Samsung issues....before I could even get started, he chimed in with the same litany of problems I have experienced with his Samsung refrigerator. The independent service techs were all professional, and were sympathetic to our problems with Samsung. They did what they could to make it possible to allow us to get some resolution. Both techs who visited us multiple times have a very low opinion of Samsung and their products.

I have the Samsung RF267AEBP purchased from Sears ($2,100+) 01/02/2011. Shortly after the basic 1-year warranty ran out, the unit began routinely freezing up due to the known failure of the defrost cycle and/or heating coils and sensors malfunctioning. When the ice builds up over time, it locks up the fan motor from the glacier of ice (sounds horrible like a screech owl). Like others on this post and all over the Internet, I have to force the RF267AEBP into a manual defrost; when the ice melts, it fills the space under the Deli/Crisper drawer with water. The first time this happened, we did not realize that the ice could not drain normally due to a defective drain (Note: The defrost water drain has been reported to be too short to drain properly after the refrigerator goes through a defrost cycle). So, after turning the unit back on, the backed up water that pools under the Deli/Crisper drawer freezes into a solid two feet by one inch sheet of ice! Not knowing what was going on, we could not get the Deli/Crisper opened without pulling very hard on it and that brought the entire sheet of ice out and onto the kitchen floor, creating one big dangerous mess! Now, the ice maker is making loud clicking and banging sounds, and the ice maker has malfunctioned too with inconsistent delivery of odd sized ice cubes (more like chunks of ice) and it, too, now freezes up. We have regularly replaced the filter (@ $30+ each) that does basically nothing but filter water for the ice maker and the water dispenser. This has been the most frustrating and expensive major appliance ownership experience I have ever had with a major appliance in over 40+ years of home ownership.Samsung, you should provide us customers that have suffered through the purchase and repair of this known defective refrigerator full refunds for these known manufacturer defective refrigerators and/or provide a totally brand new replacement of equal value regardless of the customer’s choice. This is an expensive major appliance and we should not be having these problems that are clearly a quality control problem of widespread proportions. If I am not contacted by your warranty and customer relations department with a satisfactory resolution, I will be forced to sign on to the class action suit and add my model to the long and growing list of models already posted on the website. I will also have my day in small claims court for not just the cost of the defective refrigerator, but also for the spoiled food cost of replacement, labor and repair cost, and my lost work/wages due to having to take off work to deal with the overall malfunctioning of your Samsung RF267AEBP.By the way, my paperwork from Samsung that came with my refrigerator clearly states, Your Satisfaction is Samsungs # 1 Priority - Do not return to store. Well, Samsung, here is your opportunity to step up and simply do the right thing, especially since you are on record claiming that my satisfaction is Samsungs #1 priority.

We purchased our range/oven in October 2018. Not even 3 months later had to have it repaired: the entire control unit was replaced as the controls locked up with food burning in the oven, with oven door locked. Now the oven turns on at random times, and also locking the oven door, and freezing the control unit again. So called Samsung again, and explained that this range/oven is dangerous, as it could burn down the house with my family in it. Their response? Cant exchange it because we have to wait for the second round of repairs. Last time it took at least 3 weeks for the spare parts to arrive, so when asked the Specialty Claim Rep at Samsung, her answer was that if I am afraid of the unit, I should unplug it until fixed. My question is, why would I want a unit replaced when this is systematic issue, and not a unit-specific problem? When asked if Samsung will take full liability for possibly causing property damage or bodily harm, their answer was I can not talk to a supervisor as my case has been already escalated. Which agency is responsible of forcing a manufacturer to recall a dangerous product? And why they are not acting after all those reviews on this site? Indeed, I failed to read these comments, otherwise I would avoided this product line and Samsung altogether... Now I am stuck with a product for a very long time...

Samsung refrigerator rf217 - Purchased it from Sears along with service contract. Within weeks the veg containers filled with water- have had the repair service here at least 9 times for same issue. Its now near the limit of coverage and the water is still coming into the veg area and icing up. The repair service admits that the Samsung ref is trouble. I will also add that there is a crack in the plastic in the area where the two top doors meet. Can find no cause for this other than poor quality. The issues were the vent blocked so cant breathe. This happened till the entire inside back panel was replaced- build up of frost in freezer told door didnt close properly the- that the ref wasnt balanced enough somewhere. There is a list of excuses. Bottom line Samsung knew of the issue. Just read the booklet that comes with the product and the number of times they mention water build up. Its cheaper for them to rewrite the book than correct the problem.UPDATE ON 05/28/2018: Its near the end of the 5 year service contract - the same problems have never been removed - tipping back replacing fan - wires - back panel etc. The service was here twice this month. Called today. Went through all the repairs for same issue. Sabrina said she would put me on hold then came back. Said she couldnt hear me and hung up -- I called back. Went over everything again with a man this time. He informed me that the tech had to come to repair and if the tech felt it couldnt be fixed then they would replace. Was told I could file a replacement for lost food. I have had it with stalling the ice and water in the veg containers has gone on from the time I bought the thing to present and its still not fixed. Still filling with water ice and rotting the food and now I am told that the tech must attempt to fix the problem before they will replace it. Am fed up with Sears Samsung and the quality of home appliances - doesnt even rate one star. Would rate it a minus if I could so its one star and thats even too much.

Ive had cheap dishwashers that did a FAR BETTER job than this overpriced piece of junk! I bought a mid-priced dishwasher with the hidden controls on top. It was very quiet, but found out it was quiet because it wasnt cleaning! I had the technicians come out (under 1 yr warranty) and they replaced the main board, saying that it wasnt activating one of the cleaning mechanisms. After running some diagnostics and saying it was now working correctly, I did another load of dishes. Although they came out a little bit cleaner, and I mean VERY LITTLE, it was still sub-par.I now have to pre-scrub every dish and piece of silverware before washing, and even then, have to wash some again after the load finishes because of dried soap or debris that wasnt washed off. HORRIBLE DISHWASHER! Although Im pretty satisfied with the other appliances I bought as a group (Stove, Microwave, Fridge), I will NEVER buy nor recommend a Samsung Dishwasher ever again. They need to stick to semiconductors and leave the appliances to other more experienced and reliable manufactures.

Purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator with the ice maker located in the food compartment, not the freezer section (in 2015/2014 mfg date). Should have suspected the design, but purchased it anyway. The in-door dispenser pushes a slushy watery mix for the initial action. Then I get soft ice cubes for the rest of the fill. Every two weeks or so, I have to remove the Ice Maker tray unit and chip the ice accumulation on the roof of the ice maker because the ice is clogged with an ice dam and will not make ice cubes. First guess is too much moisture in the ice maker unit. QUESTION: Is there any way to get the ice maker unit colder so the ice wont melt, causing these issues?

Called Samsung they asked for all our paperwork and purchase receipt. I sent it all and the response was that it was not clear enough to read. They suggested I call repair. Did not tell me it had to be a repair service that was contracted with them. Closest one is 1 1/2 hours away. I called local and while he was at our house he called Samsung Tech service and was told it was our compressor and that it was still under warranty. Serviceman did not fix as his company is not contracted with them so they would not get paid. Said he would fix it if I paid the $650.00 up front and worked with Samsung to be reimbursed. I called Samsung they told me they would not reimburse because it was not their contracted serviceman. They contacted their serviceman and he canceled on me saying his guy had the flu, but he sent in a report stating it was not the compressor. How he knew that without coming and looking at it Ill never understand. Samsung refused to pay or help in any way. The only good thing was I called Lowes and told them I was returning it talked with manager of store. He was amazing. Told me to go online and pick out a new fridge and they would replace it. Which they did. With a brand new FRIGIDAIRE! We will never buy Samsung appliance again!!

My gas stove NX583GOVBSR was fabricated in Oct. 2013. In Nov. 2015 the stove stopped working. It appears the control panel is the problem as the burners still work. If I try to set the oven to bake, the control panel starts making loud syncopated sounds and flashing lights. And it keeps doing this until I turn off the power at the circuit breaker. The Samsung customer service person has no idea what is causing this and will only send a tech for $100 plus parts. I stopped at Sears and they said the control panel may need to be replaced for $450 plus installation. Sears encouraged me to buy a new stove for $1700. The stove came with my house when I purchased it Nov. 2015 so it may have been broken before that. Previous owner did not purchase the service warranty. Last gas stove I had lasted over 15 years! This is ridiculous. Im looking for a class action suit after sending in this review.

Samsung electric slide-in range. First -- Samsung does not honor its warranties. Second -- in a period of 3 years, the left front burner cause a break in the glass in the same place while boiling water on 8, not high. After pressing Samsung relentlessly and being accused of lying, they finally replaced the top, but with no additional warranty. Their repair people here in Ill, Unique didnt even run diagnostics. Less than one year later the same burner caused the same break with the same configuration as stated above. I was across the room, no I didnt hit the glass and no Im not a liar. Third -- I did manage to set a hot dog on fire using the broiler. I let the fire burn out as trying to fix it would add oxygen and thats not a great idea. It burned out the oven altogether. The oven will no longer work at all. Finally -- as for operation --- If you lean on the control system at all -- say to lift a pot from the back burner, you will likely turn on another burner or turn your oven on or off without knowing it. Great product. So, after spending too much on an inferior product I am now in the position of having to spend even more money to purchase a new oven. One might also consider the battery and glass problems that Samsung has had with their phones. Inferior glass... Inferior sub-contractors (Unique)... Inferior claims dept. Dont do this to yourself.

Then eventually loud rotating noise which found out later was the cooling fan. I contacted Samsung this morning and after less than 10 mins, an appointment was made to have a technician come out to my home and replace the pad under Samsung extended warranty on the pad. The only thing Samsung noted to me is that if its not the pad, I would have to pay for the cost of any repairs. I keep my fingers crossed that an honest technician will come out to do this repair. So, bottom line is that Samsung realizes that there is a problem with these pads with this SE error code and extended the warranty to have them replaced.

We purchased this Samsung Refrigerator at Sears. It was one of the more expensive refrigerators in the store. We paid about $2500. Its junk from day one. Noisy. And the ice maker clogs and jams. And ice forms on the back and gets so noisy we cant stay in the same room as the machine. And when the Sears repair people come to fix it all they can say is that they are not very good machines, and they dont make them liked they used to. The junk will be off the warranty soon. I think its criminal that they dont recall the machine. Samsung stole $2500 from us and cost of many hours of not being able to use our house and having to stay home for the doctor to come, only to say its a chronic & terminal condition. I have nothing good to say about Samsung.
