We purchased a set of Samsung appliance four years ago. After two years our ice maker was out of order. Beside that several interior components of our fridge are cracked, chipped and glued and zip tied due to how FRAGILE it is. After that the mother board of our range was out of order too. Called for service and $200 later was up and running. But not too long after the largest electric burner stopped working. As of today our dishwasher is COMPLETELY broken. To anyone reading this, please dont assume our family was rough with our appliance leading to this kind of issues. We always took good care of them and not only that but my wife and I both work in the food industry and know how to handle kitchen appliance commercial/residential. Weve warning anyone we know to not commit the same mistake we committed. Hope you would do the same. Good luck with your choice.

Our Samsung French Door Refrigerator has an Icemaker that does not work properly. We called Home Depot and were referred to a local company to repair. We were told that this problem exists with all of the Samsung Icemakers, and they are not able to repair this problem. So your best bet is NOT to even buy this product.

We purchased a top of the line Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80H995OU5/AA. After less than two days of use, it would no longer complete a wash cycle and the door would not stay closed. Upon further inspection we also discover the rear panel of the cabinet was severely bent. After a call to the local dealer, he called back the next day reporting that Samsung would not let him service the machine, but only a Samsung Service Center. Samsung wanted two business days to contact the center to set the appointment. After some discussion they agreed to contact the Local Authorized Service Center (Remedy Appliance Service and Repair) while I was on the line. The Samsung Customer rep. disconnected the line without the connection. I tracked the Authorized Service Center down and offered to pay them to look at the machine. An Authorized Service Representative looked at the machine, determined it was not repairable. He took pictures and told us Samsung would call in one to two business days. They did not. I called Samsung, talking to several service representatives. My request was to remove the machine and return my money, as the machine worked less than 24 hours. The washer cost $1,600. I have now been on the phone with four customer service representatives including executive customer service. I have been told after further extensive processing, I might have my money returned in 14 to 21 days, however the process they describe is about four days, requiring further extensive time on our part. Just horrible service.

Do Not buy one of these, it is the most expensive dishwasher I have purchased and by far the worst. Pity the rating here doesnt allow me to award NO STARS!!!

Bought this piece of crap French door bottom pullout freezer refrigerator made by Samsung with water and ice less than 2 years ago for $3000! Ive had 4 repair visits and I waited a 5th time yesterday with a no service show!!! Im frustrated because I have two small kids and keep having to throw away a ton of food EVERY TIME fridge dies. Ice builds up on back plate of fridge and water stops working! I wish people would get together and form a class action lawsuit so Samsung would be forced to refund all of our money!!! And stop making these useless refrigerators!

Samsung has a design flaw and all of their 7933 model dishwashers. They refuse to acknowledge that there is a problem. The top basket and spray arm assembly inserts into the bank of the dishwasher to get water. The rubber washer rubs against a hard plastic jet. It rubs until it’s worn out. The basket will push away from the nozzle and the water will not ever get to the spray arm. Hundreds of thousands of units are designed to fail and consumers will think they are not using the right detergent or rinse aid or some suchlike thing. The glasses on the top rack do not get clean because no water sprays to wash them. Samsung refuses to even admit there may be a problem. I know, Ive spent 4 hours on the phone.

Dont buy Samsung dishwashers! I bought DMR78AHS stainless steel dishwasher and it is absolutely horrible. Weve had nothing but problems. The brackets constantly break off, clogging the unit. I have to constantly rewash the dishes because they dont come clean. I have to towel dry the dishes because the machine doesnt dry like it should. I have had the water pump replaced. I have had numerous service calls to my house and thank God I had extended warranty. I didnt have to pay for it, but Im still pissed with the warranty because they took me through hell and back before they finally ruled it unfixable - and agreed to give my money back. Never again will I buy their appliances. When I talked to the rep at Lowes Home Improvement, she stated that they get a lot of complaints about the Samsung dishwashers! Buy at your own risk!

We installed model # ME179KFETSR/AA in our remodeled kitchen in November of 2013. In February of 2014, 3 months later, the Microwave went bonkers (as noted in other complaints) and the control had to be replaced. It was under warranty, so there was no charge, just inconvenience. The repairman told me I should run the fan when cooking ANYTHING on my stove, even warming up canned vegetables. I took his advice and used the fan even though it is very loud. Unfortunately, this did not prevent the need for ANOTHER service call for the same problem in April of 2014. The problem has reoccurred for the third time and the microwave is now out of warranty. Even though the micro is less than a year and a half old, Samsung is only willing to give me the part at no charge, which will probably only cost them $30.00. Wow, what exceptional service. They MUST know the micro has a design flaw. The repair has not yet been performed, so Im not sure how much this is going to cost me, besides my loyalty to Samsung.

We spent big dollars on this fridge and expected quality. We are a couple and have not put a lot of use on this fridge. At exactly 5 years, we started hearing a grinding fan noise in the back of the fridge. It got worse over the next week. Called a 5 star appliance repair company to come and take a look. We found out the problem is the evaporative cooling fan for the fridge. It is going to be a $350.00 repair. The repairman was very knowledgeable about the unit. He told us that Samsung refrigerators keep him employed. He also told us that we were the lucky ones having the refrigerator for 5 years with no other problems. He was a wealth of information, all of it bad for the longevity and costs that we could expect in the future. We decided to repair it and hope for the best. Repairman brought the new part back a week later. Unwrapped the bubble wrap to have a piece of plastic go flying. Part was broken and could not be used. He apologized and said that he would have to reorder and he could not guarantee that it would last even one year. We then decided to rethink our decision. After reading literally thousands of online reviews, we decided to cut our losses and run. Used our Labor Day weekend to seek out and purchase a new Made in America refrigerator. Money we had not intended on spending but glad to be out from under the Samsung brand. We have to wait for our new refrigerator and the fan noise is so loud now after 2 1/2 weeks that we can hardly hear one another to converse in our kitchen/family great room. Our daughter has been having problems with her ice maker on her Samsung from one year on, constant problem and royal pain. No fix in sight for hers either. One would think that Samsung would get a clue and improve their product but NO that is not what is happening. They knowingly continue to sell faulty and substandard products. We will tell everyone we know to walk away before they even consider a Samsung fridge. We wish someone had told us... If I could have given a worse star selection than 1, I would have... Save yourself a lot of grief and money~~DON’T BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR.

I bought a Samsung model RF217 fridge (no ice dispenser) in Aug 2012. A bit noisy but ok for about a year. Then late summer 2013, I see a puddle of H20 just outside the front door. It wasnt huge and I figured I had spilled it myself. Warranty expired next month. Problems got worse. Ice constantly on crisper bottoms. Massive icebergs in freezer compartment. More H20 puddles... more ice. Ensured nothing blocking air. Powered down to force reset. Oy vey. Theres clearly a design flaw as evidenced by all complaints. When is Samsung going to own up and restore its reputation?

We bought a Samsung refrigerator, delivered in 01/2015. The refrigerator is just out of warranty in 6/2020 and the ice maker stopped working properly several months ago. It never put out much ice to begin with. We had to de-ice the fridge and reset it several times because it stopped making ice. It also started leaking from behind the water/ice dispenser and down it. We had to keep a towel on the drip tray to keep the water from trickling down the fridge. Samsung refused to cover the repair because it was just out of warranty. The service repair shop referred to us by Samsung, charged $320 total for the ice maker part that costs $110 with shipping on Samsungs site. The repair man would give us a window of time and then not call us back. I had to reach out to him every time and 1/2 the total payment was required upfront. Another friend of ours has the same fridge and purchased it right before we got ours and their motor went out a year after owning it. My brother and his wife purchased their GE fridge at the same time we bought ours and they havent had one issue. We wont purchase Samsung appliances again.

Mine stopped working right after the one year warranty expired and has the flashing lights. Called a local appliance repair guy and he told me he does not repair Samsung. Why? Because they keep breaking down and he has to keep coming back to replace parts at his cost. Customers think it’s his fault, but after reading this blog, we all know the problem is Samsung. My other Samsung appliances are not great either. I just purchased a new highly rated Kenmore from Sears. After checking Consumer Reports, Samsung has the worst frequency of repairs of all brands. Stay away from Samsung and don’t listen to salespeople. Do your own research first and buy a dependable brand. Anybody want to buy a lightly used dishwasher? LOL.

This Samsung refrigerator was bought at Sears in winter of 2011. Model number RF266AEPN. Over the past year, we have had to defrost it twice for several days in order to let the ice melt and soak up the resulting water with towels. I clean the back lower area too but this has not been dirty. The problem starts with the back inside vents icing up and the fan begins to make noise. Eventually the temp rises. This is happening again after only 6 weeks. I have not contacted Sears or Samsung as I know it is beyond warranty but I plan to call anyway. I already know I will never buy another Samsung. Despite the bad reviews for the Samsung slide in stove, I was smitten by the good design. Moreover, online specifications (since changed by Samsung, but I still have the original) offered a broad range of heights to fit a higher counter top than average. For the last 10 months since its purchase, I kept the stove top like-new, wiping carefully with baking soda if necessary, after every use. With no apparent reason, the stove cracked in the middle and NOT EVEN when in use. It happened literally overnight. A straight crack, it was deemed a heat crack (isnt this a stove?) and the warranty covered its replacement. Still, there should be NO excuse for any product to be so shoddy. I have read about multiple cases of other cracks, some considered the consumers fault, but I doubt it. This and other appliances with absurdly short planned obsolecence should be regulated and the consumers should be better protected.

I cannot believe our expensive French door refrigerator (purchased from Home Depot in November 2014) has disappointed me so much. In common with so many of the reviews, we have no ice maker. It took over a month to get an official Samsung repair person to come and his verdict is that he knew exactly what the problem was, had seen it in so many other of the same model refrigerators and quoted me $800 to repair, and said I might as well get to know him, because it would break again. We made the ultimate mistake by purchasing this Samsung Storm Wash dishwasher. The dishwasher smells and constantly traps mold in the dishwasher & on the dishes. After less than 1 year the dishwasher hardly cleans at all, the glasses look worse after being washed in dishwasher than before. There is a gross film left on all dishes despite using rinse agent religiously. Silverware has to be rewashed before using. I hand wash more dishes than the dishwasher washes! So frustrating & Im stuck with this piece of junk till I can afford a new one. Very disheartening. Samsung has no care despite emails sent to them. They refuse to help & refuse to take product back. I was willing to trade for another Samsung dishwasher. Shame on any company that doesnt stand behind their product! It is relatively quiet compared to my old one, however it will not dry the dishes. It does have a heating element, but no matter what cycle is on, it will not drain entirely, so when the heating element turns on during the drying cycle, it just heats up the standing rinse water left in the bottom creating a huge amount of steamed rinse water and saturating the dishes. If I hold down the start button for 3 seconds it will magically drain entirely, but manually completes the cycle so drying is off. WET DISHES. I hope the appliance engineers at Samsung go back to R&D school, and definitely need to stay away from Samsung Audio Video electronics. They will surely ruin the only good product in the brand.

This dishwasher was purchased in 2013 and quite frankly has never worked properly. The door over the cup which hold the detergent sticks and doesnt open 5 out of 10. The contents is never sparkling clean and ALWAYS wet no matter what the setting. Incredibly disappointed as we actually love our Samsung televisions! Our Samsung microwave didnt work well either and had to be replaced within 6 months. Stick to television Samsung.

I purchased of course the expensive model DMR Samsung dishwasher. Within months, this thing was not working properly so of course my husband tried to fix it himself by cleaning it out really good, thinking the kids had just got food stuck at the bottom or something. No, not at all. This dishwasher just didnt work. Well, I call Lowes well to my surprise since I had purchased the item 07/2008 but the item was not picked up from the store until 11/2008. Since my purchase date was July, my one year warranty was already up by the time I called. I refused to call Samsung and have them come out because when I did inquire I was told it would be 65 bucks just to come out and tell me whats wrong with it. So now 3 years late, still no new dishwasher. I just have a piece of stationary sitting in my house being decoration to go with the rest of my kitchen. Thanks Samsung for such a good product and taking my 900 dollars.

I have had 2-4 refrigerators and the Samsung is the worst. Within 1 week the freezer was frosting over. The ice maker is useless. It doesnt matter if you have it on crushed or whole cube, it does what it wants. In fact, you cannot use crushed as it clogs up and just drops pieces of ice onto the floor at all hours.

Samsung dishwasher model dw80h993. This dishwasher is a piece of junk, I have had technician out twice and now I still have problems with the drain and now its out of warranty, bought in Dec. 2014 and the hose is not kinked. I would not recommend anyone purchasing a Samsung dishwasher. I think if a manufacturer claims they have a reliable dishwasher or anything they should back it up with at least a two year warranty. Dissatisfied with Samsung. Will not purchase anything in the future.

Bought a Samsung refrigerator in May from Home Depot. They were on sale and was what we needed to fit the area we had. Four months into it, my wife comes to me saying its not cold, all of the frozen food was thawed and its a mess. After throwing everything out, I called Samsung repair. Talked to someone in India who read from a script. She directed me to some tests I should do first. I did them, didnt work. Called again, more tests. All I want is my fridge fixed. Its under warranty. Whats the problem? Its that they are told not to send anyone and that the consumer should be satisfied spending $1,796.43 for a fridge that worked 4 months. Tomorrow, I am prepared to start the fight. Class action please.

Now it makes a loud noise and when we open the doors the noise stops. The freezer becomes full of ice and stops to work as well. I have been dealing with Samsung and the technicians. It is the worst experience ever. It has been over 2 months that I am without a fridge and they are delaying and not replacing my fridge. The technician came a few times and the fridge is still not fixed. I am very tired of dealing with Samsung company. The product is rubbish and the service is not there. New Microwave Caught Fire - Purchased Samsung Microwave Model Number ME18H7
New Microwave Caught Fire - Purchased Samsung Microwave Model Number ME18H704SFG on 07-03-2016 from HHgregg. They delivered the microwave on Saturday 07-09-2016. Used the microwave Saturday and Sunday. Monday morning 07-11-2016 my wife screamed FIRE so I ran to the kitchen where the microwave door was open and a flame about 4-5 inches long was jetting out from the side of the interior of the microwave. When I say jetting it was like a torch so I got the Fire Extinguisher and put it out then unplugged it. The inside wall was still hot to the touch for some time so I removed it from above the Gas Range and Sat it outside for the day. Now there is a big hole in the side wall of the microwave.I called HHgregg and they told me to call Samsung. I called 800 726-7864, spoke to a lady there who gave me a transaction number and said a Product Specialist would call me back within 4 hours. Said I needed to call back with the serial number or I would be charged a service call fee. That return call did not happen within 4 hours so I called again and spoke to another lady who gave me a claim ticket and a service ticket and said the claim folks would call me within 24 hours and the service folks would call back the same day. I did receive a text from service saying The repair facility has accepted your repair. ASC Phone 201-672-9502 ASC will contact you within 2 business days. Then received a call from service around 5:34 who left a message which I returned the call. The lady also needed the serial number which I provided the next day and they have scheduled a service person to come out... today is the 12 the service person will come on the 19 between 10-2. I told her I did not want them to attempt to repair this unit and give it back to me. She said the service person would not take the unit but would take photos and send to Samsung where they would determine if it could be repaired. I told her I would not let that unit back into my home. She said if you refuse the service then you will be left with a broken microwave. This is where I have left this issue. We will see what happens when the service person comes out.

In 2014 we bought a Samsung dishwasher at Lowes. We had always bought Bosch but the deal being offered by Lowes/Samsung was too hard to pass up, I wish we had. I wont bother with the model number because after reading the reviews here it is obvious it doesnt matter, they all have problems. I am pretty good at fixing things myself and our dishwasher is still running, but I have better things to do in my retirement than fix a dishwasher! If you go to Youtube you will find many videos showing you how to fix your Samsung. My advice is DO NOT BUY a Samsung dishwasher! If you own one, make sure you put a cup of vinegar in AFTER the wash cycle starts, (this is particularly important if you are on a well and not public water). If you do it before you start the dishwasher, it will pump the vinegar down the drain upon startup. Also after each wash, clean the door gasket at the bottom of door where it attaches to the dishwasher. Black gunk/mold builds up there, pretty disgusting. Based on reading other reviews, if you are out of warranty and cant do your own repair, take your loss, and put your hard earned money into purchasing another dishwasher.

But it also has been getting louder and louder! It vibrates like crazy and now is making a squeaking vibrating noise! We have tried to figure it out, but nothing! He found a wire had arced and burned in the back of the Range. He fixed the problem but I am very concerned about using the range. Afraid it will catch fire. I believe a range two months old should not have a wire burn out and the risk of danger to my family of catching on fire. The tech said he had repaired another range that had the same problem. I will not purchase anything with the Samsung name on it because this is not the only appliance I have had a problem with.

It was so bad that we had to have towels around the fridge and change them a couple times a day. Scheduled the repair service, however, the repairman couldnt figure out what the problem was. They called Samsung and they have a problem with these models with the water filter housing unit. He ordered the part and scheduled another service call to install the part a week later. We purchased the 4 door Samsung French Door refrigerator with the Flex Zone drawer 2 years ago. Just before the 2 year mark the ice maker stopped working. We had someone come out to replace the ice maker, but found out it wasnt really the ice maker. There was a hole in the Freon line which caused the ice maker to stop working. Once the ice maker was defrosted all the Freon ran out smelling up our house & making the whole refrigerator useless. Every day for 6 weeks I called the customer service at Samsung. Not ONE person cared about us having no refrigerator. They didnt apologize or express sympathy. It was the most frustrating experience. Finally after 4 weeks they agreed verbally to give us a full refund. They wouldnt put the $ amount in writing & it took another 2 weeks for us to receive the check. We were told by a repairman to not buy Samsung appliances & we took that advice & purchased a Whirlpool. So far so good!

My extended family has 3 Samsung fridges - 2x RL67 and one RL62. After approximately 16 months, two of them developed noise. The noise stopped each time the fridge door was opened. We purchased our range/oven in October 2018. Not even 3 months later had to have it repaired: the entire control unit was replaced as the controls locked up with food burning in the oven, with oven door locked. Now the oven turns on at random times, and also locking the oven door, and freezing the control unit again. So called Samsung again, and explained that this range/oven is dangerous, as it could burn down the house with my family in it. Their response? Cant exchange it because we have to wait for the second round of repairs. Last time it took at least 3 weeks for the spare parts to arrive, so when asked the Specialty Claim Rep at Samsung, her answer was that if I am afraid of the unit, I should unplug it until fixed. My question is, why would I want a unit replaced when this is systematic issue, and not a unit-specific problem? When asked if Samsung will take full liability for possibly causing property damage or bodily harm, their answer was I can not talk to a supervisor as my case has been already escalated. Which agency is responsible of forcing a manufacturer to recall a dangerous product? And why they are not acting after all those reviews on this site? Indeed, I failed to read these comments, otherwise I would avoided this product line and Samsung altogether... Now I am stuck with a product for a very long time...

I bought this piece of junk Oct. 2017 at Home Depot for over $1200.00 with the no customer service protection plan through Asurion. This was what we thought was a beautiful sleek side by side that would last at least 10 years. We arent rich people so this was our first side by side. The thing started making a terrible racket a few days ago and just gets worse. It apparently has a design flaw that causes ice to build up around the fan which leads to an expensive failure. After 2 days of around 12 calls to Asurion I have to wait 3 weeks for a repair. They initially set me up with a rude fly by night jerk, but hes not coming so I have to wait three weeks now for a different repair place. Nobody wants to work on Samsung appliances. You call someone in whos not factory authorized there goes the warranty. Since weve been put in this position, were forced to spend money we dont have on another refrigerator. Try finding a refrigerator during a Pandemic while riots are taking place. It seems impossible but we must have a refrigerator. The cheapest we can find is an apartment size for almost $400.00. We cant afford this & Im sure Asurion wont reimburse us for the money we have to spend for a back up fridge.

After months of trying to get help for my oven, all I got is a bunch of runaround, transfer call to someone else game, pretend to not have received pictures. The final straw was when I got the last email saying that physical damage is not covered but technical is covered. I about lost my mind!! This person claimed that he had not received my photos and I agreed since they were returned to me due to the large size. So before I sent him the evidence this final time, he had already magically seen the pictures! It went from I dont have your pictures, I cannot enter coworkers email account to retrieve them along with the purchase order for proof. Within a year both my Samsung oven and refrigerator were becoming useless with regular use, not abuse. I bought these brand new off the factory floor so I expected it to last me many many years! All in all, they were bought to be used yet I am being screwed with because the quality does not match its price. If anyone can help me in any way to make Samsung listen I would be very happy!

Two years ago, we bought a Samsung refrigerator and it has been nothing but a money pit. We bought this from Lowes and it is no secret that this product is a piece of junk. Why would they keep selling them? The thermostat went out 31/2 months ago for a price of $300 and another service call a month before that for a price of $100. Well, the thermostat is out again and Samsung said that the thermostat has only a three-month warranty. The only positive thing I can say is that the set up manual tells you what to do so you can throw it away. I am going to cut my losses and buy a new one. I am a contractor who has installed over 100 dishwashers. This is the worst installation design I have ever seen. The hot water & drain connections are at the left rear corner of the D/W. The hot water supply line requires a 90 degree fitting (which is NOT supplied). The water supply connection is 3 above the floor & 4 from the left side. The water connection fitting on the D/W is PLASTIC. You have to buy a 90 degree fitting (brass), then remove the BRASS connector nut & replace it with the PLASTIC nut provided with D/W. When you connect the water supply line to the 90 degree fitting, it has to bend at a 90 degree angle to fit in the cabinet opening. The Drain hose is also connected at the rear left hand corner. You are warned to not overtighten the 90 degree fitting (PLASTIC) or it can cause a leak. THEN, it tells you to slide the D/W into the cabinet opening & be careful not to kink the water & drain hoses. It is such an idiotic design that the instructions actually say, Get a SECOND or THIRD person to help you if this is necessary. Once installed you have no way of seeing if the water or drain hoses are leaking, until it is too late. Three days later water was dripping from my basement ceiling, due to water connection leaking and ruining my bamboo kitchen floor. For 46 years I have installed D/Ws with the connections right in front behind the base panel. An easy connection for one man/woman and you can readily observe if you have any leaks. Samsung should stick to TVs.

Multiple service calls for icing up, seven in a two month period alone, until the problem was fixed. Then noticed discoloration of the doors appearing like a splashing, bubbling effect all over the front. No amount of polishing would take it away. The last service person to come said its a defect in the workmanship and that when the coating was placed over the stainless, air must have gotten in or the seal wasnt prepared properly and the problem of the unsightly look is coming from in between the coating and the stainless making it impossible to look clear no matter how much you polish the fridge. My extended service contract doesnt cover it from P.C. Richards as they say it is a Samsung workmanship defect from the factory. Samsung says they wont cover it because its past the warranty even though its THEIR manufacturers defect. This fridge cost a lot of money and is only four years old and the facade looks like a mess that no amount of polishing can fix. Samsung says sorry....... I say NEVER buy another Samsung product again.

We purchased a Samsung kitchen bundle (microwave, refrigerator, oven and dishwasher) from Home Depot. A week after installation the microwave caught fire and created a burned hole on the inside of the microwave. Contacted Samsung and have been spinning for 2 weeks now as they will not replace this unit, only repair it. At this point we paid for a BRAND NEW unit, 2 weeks ago, and we have zero confidence in the reliability and safety of this unit being repaired. Samsung has been very unresponsive to our request. Cannot believe that big corporations can treat people in this way. Taking our hard earned money and not replacing like for like.

I bought a Samsung range (model # FE R300SXIX AA) a little over 3 years ago. During the Easter weekend of 2018, I tried to bake a cake. The cake did not get done. The oven did not reach the correct temperature. I called Samsung and a technician was sent to my home within a few days. He could not find anything wrong with the oven. The visit cost $125. I tried to bake something else and it did not get done. I called Samsung again and another technician came to my home. He stated the oven temperature was 100 degrees off the target temperature. He replaced a part and tried the temperature reading again. The temperature was still off the target. The technician said the oven needed a part he did not have with him. Another appointment was made for him to return with the other part. The technician returned several days later with the other part. He replaced the part and said try the oven again because he thought it was repaired. This cost was another $175. After the technician left, I tried baking something again but it did not get done. I called Samsung again and the representative said there was nothing they could do because the warranty had expired. In order to get a partial refund for the range, the technician would have to state the oven was unfixable. I called the technicians office to make an appointment. An appointment was made for him to return a few days later. The technician called my home and stated to my husband he does not know the cause of the problem with the oven but he could return and try several things to repair it. Each thing he tried could cost up to $500 or more. Whats the use of a repair service when they are working in the blind and costing you a lot of money trying different things. I will never buy another Samsung electric range again. The Service and reliability are very unsatisfactory.

Samsung OTR microwave Model SMH9207st - Wow, where to begin! I believe I bought this microwave in August of 2013. I will explain later why I dont know the exact date. In December of last year I got the dreaded SE code. I called Samsung (after reading all the horrible reviews about my microwave) and told them I was getting the dreaded code. They said since my microwave was over a year old, the warranty had expired and there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to superiors and went through four of them and they all told me there was nothing they could do. Sooo I threw away the receipt, the owners manual and the mounting screws. He took down the microwave and I told him to take the stupid thing to the dump. Luckily he hadnt done it yet because a couple days later I received an email from Samsung saying that they were going to pay for a one time parts and labor fix.A company called me and set up date and time to come out. The tech came out and noticed that my microwave had scratches in the bottom and said it was a fire hazard and he didnt know if they would fix or not. I have heard online about the glass plate wobbling so maybe that is how it got scratched. They called back and said they ordered a new door and I would have to pay for the coating paint to cover the scratches and also the mounting screws. Tech came out and the door had the wrong connections and wouldnt work. Had to reorder. Came out today, replaced the door in a couple minutes and told me he was through...everything was working...clock, light, etc. As he walked out the door I opened the door and closed it and it DIED! I called him back in and he made a phone call and said he would have to reorder another door! Going on almost three months so far and still no working microwave. Luckily a friend had an OLD $50 microwave that she let me use and it has worked wonderfully! I need to know how to join class action lawsuit. I just want a different microwave! FRUSTRATED!

Going on a month without a working ice maker. TWO service calls because it had ice build up (4 times total but 2 that we handled) and they admitted that this model had faulty units. They said they would give us $ to purchase a new fridge but it would end up costing us about $800 out of pocket because we bundled the whole kitchen and got an amazing deal/interest. Now, I have bagged ice taking up freezer space and they arent returning calls. I tried to write a review on Amazon but I guess they are having too many complaints and it wouldnt post. I will NEVER get Samsung again, but our entire kitchen is Samsung and less than a year old. Were stuck :/

So I have barely had my new Samsung dishwasher a year and now I know why they only cover it a year. Called them because it isn’t working, flashing light, wont run a full cycle and now waiting several days to have someone call me to set up someone coming out to look at it. Wish I had gotten another brand.

After reading the articles on here I realize I am not alone in realizing my high end dishwasher is a piece of expensive junk. The only washing I got done was the washing that my bank account took. Barely had it a year and getting a non stop LE code. Pulled the unit out and there is no leak anywhere that I can find. I was silly and did not buy an extended warranty as I thought I bought a quality product, never again. I refuse to pay anyone to repair it and have it fail again. I will buy another one but I promise I will not buy anything with the name Samsung on any item. The joke on me is I replaced a working one that was noisy for this high end quiet one. Yup....cant hear any noise coming from it.

We have had our french door refrigerator serviced 3 times and need service again. First time was the ice maker. They have to replace the whole unit. Then the computer board went, not once but twice. Now the top half is not staying cool. For the price we had paid, this should not have happened in only 5 years. The repair cost so far has been over $1,000.00. If there is a class action against Samsung, I would love to know. I would love to get my repair cost and the cost of the unit reimbursed.

Poorly Made! Then kitchen is 1 month over warranty. Already the bottom metal strip of the oven door is coming off. It was actually glue and the glue is coming off. Very cheaply made. I called and they said to fix its $175.00. I had my last kitchen stove from GE for 13 yrs and never ever had an issue. Will NOT ever buy Samsung again. Very poor craftsmanship.

My french door refrigerator from Samsung has to be the worst product we have ever purchased. We have to defrost this thing every other month. The repair company I had come out said he really couldnt do anything. I paid too much money for this refrigerator to throw it out but I really hate this refrigerator. We have purchased other Samsung products but I think they need to get out of the appliance business and stick to electronic.

I like the look of the Samsung range. I’m currently on my second one as the first one had lasted about ten years before the circuit board in the back burnt out. I spent about $75 for a new board thinking that it would be good for another ten years however, it only last another two months. Therefore I just bought a new one that looked exactly the same. I had the old one recycled. The new convection oven works much better than the old one. It moves the air in a much better way to more evenly cook whatever is in the oven. This new Samsung seems easier to clean and keep clean as well. I really appreciate that I can still find the same looking model type many years later. The stainless steel finish exactly matches all of the other older Samsung appliances in the kitchen.

Purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in May of 2009. I did not purchase the extended warranty. In 2010 the motor and the entire back of the frig froze up causing the frig to stop working. The repairmen replaced the motor and charged $500. Then in 2012 it did the same thing. They came out, repaired it and said it was because the door was not closed properly. Repaired it again for $289. Last week it happened again. The repairman came out and said there were 3 errors. Replaced the board and overnight the board fried and the frig stopped working again. Another $300. We paid $1756.26 when we purchased it and have spent over $1000 for repairs putting a non working frig in the almost $3000 range. I will Never purchase another Samsung refrigerator again as it appears there are thousands of people who have the same problem and never gets rectified. I will be reporting this to Consumer reports. Letting them know that Samsung does not hold up to keeping their customers happy. I will be receiving a copy of my receipt from Lowes in approximately 1 Month to add to the verified buyer format. Also, the placement of the ice maker is a poor choice.

I have purchased this product (AR24HV5NBWKNNA) from Samsung Dealer in May 2014 and from the date of purchase Im not satisfied with the product. Installation of A/C was not proper as it took 12 hours by your engineer. Then in next year 2015 the A/C was not performing and called Samsung and executive visited and directly filled gas in warranty without inspecting the reason of leakage, and gradually after 3 months again cooling decreased. Also water leakage from indoor unit started immediately after refilling and now in current season when unit was started there was no cooling and when engineer visited on 1st call he immediately order a gas refilling without inspecting the reason for leakage. And so the second complaint was lodged and then that engineer inspected the actual reason for regular gas leakage i.e. leakage found in cooling coil which was the only reason for 1st time non cooling, which should have been searched and rectified in 2015 when the gas was refilled the first time. We were given an only option to replace to new cooling coil at our cost whereas I feel problem shouldnt have arised in the 1st year of purchase which I feel was not expected from the world leader brand like Samsung. Right now I and my Family uses Samsung brand TV, AC, refrigerator, phones, washing machine, microwave. Also further we have to install new units at my Factory and 2 Houses but now after experiencing such problem within a year I feel I should rethink over that. Also during water leakage from indoor unit my Indoor Wooden cabinet along with printer and mobiles were damaged. If you wish to see the leakage I have shot a video of it. Also, a suggestion. This kind of malfunction directly hits your Brand Reputation that how Samsung deals with its product Malfunctioning. I strongly request you to please look into this matter on priority as the season has started and there is a need to run the Air Conditioner. So replace the defective part or replace the whole unit.

We have a very bad experience with the service of Samsung Refrigerator. It took nearly a week for them to visit our place to check on the complaint made. We had to follow with the service centre every day and request for a call back from the supervisor. The reason for the delay was lockdown. We were already on phase 4 of lockdown and most of the technicians had started moving around. They checked on our refrigerator and was told the problem could be either with the compressor or the inverter board and that they have to place an order for it and it will take 3 days...They finally came after 4 days and they said both and the board had to be replaced. It worked and the technician hardly stepped out and the same problem came up. We tried contacting the technician ..who said he cant come back immediately and he came the following day and said there was a problem with the compressor again... Mind you.. it was a new compressor ...and again they have to place another order and it will take another 3 days. The problem is they will not answer your calls nor will they update you on whats happening. The call center is pathetic. I have been calling them for the last 2 days requesting that we need to speak the supervisor. They say they will arrange for a callback but no one calls. Till now I have not received any call from them. Product may be good but if the service is bad.... We will never want to recommend this brand to anyone... Very poor response and poor service. Higher authorities need to check on this and address this issue immediately especially when there is so much competition. We have been without a refrigerator in this peak summer for nearly 2 weeks now. Dont know how long more we have to wait..??

This is an update to my previous post on my 3 and 1/2 year old fridge that quit working. I filled out a form from the Samsung site on the issue with the fridge and got a stock *received* form type letter back on the 18th. There was no mention of repairs, how to handle the problem, or if they were going to do anything. When I was on their website, it said the fridge was out of warranty and when I searched for appliance repair dealers, I got 0 results back. After reading pages of complaints all over the web with the same issues (bad ice makers, and the cooling issue), we decided we would not throw good money after bad in trying to fix it. We bought a new top rated GE (which will be delivered next month as we wanted a very specific model) and on 12-23, Lowes hauled the broken Samsung off (to the dump I guess). After the fridge was gone, later that evening, we get a UPS delivery of an envelope with a generic return address. We have no idea who sent it, instructions, nothing but a part; a temperature sensor that plugged into something. So I google the address and find its a Sears warehouse. I call them and they look up the order number and say its a Samsung part. So, I get a temp sensor, no idea it was even being sent from Samsung who when I look at my account online with my complaint, says the action was cancelled by **me** on 12-18. To say this whole thing has been frustrating is a big understatement. In fact, I am not sure a new sensor would have even fixed the problem from what I have been reading all over the internet.

Own two Samsung refrigerators, one in FL one in NJ, both have continuous freeze problems. Very unfortunate, as I also own Samsung ranges (electric & gas) as well as 2 stainless dishwashers, with no problems. The larger refrigerator 4 doors, rf4287HARS, freezes up below the freezer drawer, while the 3 door model freezes up below the vegetable & meat drawers. Samsung doesnt want to know you if out of warranty, even though its clearly a design flaw. Shortly after the warranty expired, the larger fridge digital panel readout stopped working. Samsung should stop manufacturing refrigerators - or address the problems.
