Unit bought new in 2008 - in 2011 water in refrigerator unit - approx. $300 to replace evaporator cover and thaw out. Apparently drain has problem with freezing over, told by repair company that it would not happen again. May 2015 - same problem, this time 450.00 to repair. Wrote to Samsung and they denied any responsibility. Apparently this is a common problem and the fix is not adequate - would not recommend Samsung refrigerators to anyone. Feel Samsung should at least find a suitable fix for this so that consumers only have to fix once.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher a little over a year ago from Best Buy. Within the year, the dishwasher began having issues. It would stop running and had flashing lights displayed. After terrible customer service and multiple delays, Samsung set me up with a warranty service provider who fixed the issue. Within two months, the same issue is happening. In contacting Samsung, they are advising that since its past the 1 year warranty, there is nothing they can do. Even though its the same issue they already had fixed. Additionally, they offer terrible customer service. I spoke with three different departments (most out of the country) for over an hour in total, only to get no resolution. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT - BEWARE.

I have had a Samsung refrigerator for 5 years. Repeated problems with ice maker freezing up and the cooling system leaking then freezing under the drawer. Have spent $600 in repairs and same problems come back. 2 yr warranty was not enough. Samsung has been unsupportive. Will NEVER buy another Samsung product because of no customer support. Spent over 2K and now 5 yrs later it is worthless.

We wanted an additional oven to supplement our regular oven; this Samsung fit the bill because it's a convection oven that can roast and even grill meats such as chicken that can sometimes be hard to cook thoroughly without the meat becoming too dry or tough. At 1.1 cu ft it might be a tight fit for Perdue Oven Stuffer chicken or anything larger, otherwise it does its job well. Our microwave is 1700 watts, more than enough for any task from soup to popcorn to roasts, and we saw that Lowe's has our oven, model MC11K7035CG, currently on sale for $299 as of July 3.

Were an older couple, no children household. The front of our refrigerator started to peel away 12 months after we purchased it. Samsung considers it cosmetic damage and not a production problem. They give me an 888 number and then I call it and they give me a repair center number that closes at 6. After 1 year for the price I paid I dont think I should have to be going through this. I really enjoy the accessories that came with it. 2 serving plates are nice. The rack so I can have 2 levels, or more room to cook more food at the same time. Samsung refrigerators are defective garbage. Their customer service is deceptive and completely useless. Samsung hired Alorica, a third party dimwit company that calls themselves the Office of the President. They are paid to make consumers go away, give up and not get services. They are filthy liars. Retailers who knowingly sell these defective refrigerators should be held accountable as well. Samsung needs to recall ALL their refrigerators and refund the consumers.

A small plastic bracket that supports the upper ice maker in my french door
A small plastic bracket that supports the upper ice maker in my french door refrigerator (RF 323TEDBSR) broke. I have spent more than two months with Samsungs official parts department, J & J International, Inc. trying to obtain the part. Initially they told me that the part I needed was the assembly case and auger motor. I couldnt believe it but they swore it was an integrated part. I ordered it to the tune of $175. When it arrived I took it out and it was immediately clear that it was the wrong part. So I called and received a Return Authorization number. I was told that I would receive a shipping label by email. After a week, I called again and was told that it hadnt come to me because they only make these labels up on Wednesdays! I was instructed to wait a few more days. I did, no label. I called again and was told that they had misspelled my email address and would send it again within the hour. I waited two days and contacted on-line customer service. They also told me that my email was misspelled (what, again?) that they had spelled office with two Is instead of two fs. Customer service told me that they had alerted the proper person to the problem. When I asked for that persons information, I was told that it doesnt speak to the public. Nice!Oh, the reason they authorized the return is that the bracket, which is held in place by three small screws is a non-serviceable part because it was installed before the case was foamed in for insulation. They might as well have told me that there was no such part in my refrigerator. They think that they can give you an stupid excuse. Actually, it is a piece of plastic, the size of my hand, that weighs about two ounces. Worth two dollars at most but Id gladly pay $20 because, without it, I have no upper ice maker. I have been in touch with Samsungs Executive Offices to no avail. A company that doesnt support its own products should be forced out of business. I bought this refrigerator from Lowes. I think they should consider the effect on their customers by continuing to advertise and sell this garbage. No more for me.

This Samsung Refrigerator French door, bottom freezer, model # RF217A was purchased through Sears 4 years ago and has not stopped freezing the produce bins since I first received it. I have had Sears service out at least five times to fix it. They have replaced the motherboard, The defrost drain, The ice maker, The EVAP cover, a new probe, It still leaks, and freezes. Buyer beware. Samsung, nor Sears will not replace this obviously defective product, So after 4 years. I have finally given up and will buy a new refrigerator. I had to save the money to afford to purchase a new one, Samsung has won. BUT NEVER AGAIN.

We bought our Samsung French Door refrigerator with ice maker about two years ago. All was great until two weeks ago when the ice maker started leaking. The ice coming out was wet and just made a mess. There was no ice being produced in the freezer drawer tray either. Husband took it apart, found the tubing was frozen so he fixed that. We have ice in the freezer tray again but the ice maker still isnt working (despite resetting it and lower the freezer temps). We havent attempted to contact Samsung based on other peoples experience (that it was a waste of time). Disappointing since we too paid a ridiculous amount of money for the refrigerator. We also owned a Samsung plasma TV that bit the dust after two years. Done with Samsung. Also going to contact Consumer Reports as this refrigerator (and many other Samsung products) appear as top picks (which is what prompted us to buy this particular model).

In December 2015, I purchased a Samsung built-in dishwasher model DW80F600UTS/AA. I finally got it installed around July 2016. By November 2017, the dishwasher stopped working. The pump was running even though there was no water in it. I opened the door and the pump does not stop. The heavy LED was flashing even though I never selected heavy cycle. I try to turn off the dishwasher using the power button, it turns off for 2-3 seconds then it comes back automatically and the pump is just keep going. The only way to shut it off is by flipping the circuit breaker. I tried every recommended method, which included keeping power off for a while and then reapply, but nothing worked. As soon as power was applied, the pump started running and wouldnt shut off using front panel controls. An appliance repair technician came to my house in December 2017, but the regular warranty had expired. Fortunately, I had purchased a 3 year extended warranty. The technician diagnosed a bad control panel and sump pump assembly. It took 3 months for the parts to arrive. Once the new parts were installed (March 2018), it worked great; for approximately 3 months and then broke again (June 2018) with the exact same problem. A repair technician came out and replaced the sump motor again. The dishwasher worked until the end of August 2018 and quit working again with the exact same symptoms as the previous two times. A repair technician came out on 4 September 2018, diagnosed a bad sump motor and placed it on order. Around 4 November 2018, I called for status on when I could expect my dishwasher to be repaired. I was informed the motor had to be ordered from Korea and they had no idea when it would be shipped. I canceled the service request and am going to trash the dishwasher. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again.

Just like everybody here, I got this error for my Samsung microwave (model SMH9187W), which is just a bit over two years old. I arranged for service myself by a Samsung authorized service company. The repair cost $205.90. The company diagnosed the microwave as needing a new keypad. While waiting for the company to come back with the part and install it, I contacted Samsung about getting reimbursed for the problem. To my surprise, they did have a program in place to reimburse people, but only if you arranged for service through them and only if it was the control panel. If it turned out to be the keypad, they wouldnt pay. My service person came back, installed the keypad (which he said was the recommended fix in Samsungs own manual for repairmen) and my microwave now works. I contacted Samsung again because the invoice from the repair company says they actually replaced the electronic control board. I think the repair person is maybe using the terms interchangeably. At any rate, Samsungs new excuse for not paying me now has nothing to do with how my microwave was repaired, but because they have no way to reimburse me; despite the fact that I have a detailed invoice, that the repair fixed the problem and that it was performed by an authorized Samsung repair company. I just wrote a letter to the CEO and told him I would never, ever buy another Samsung product.

Four months into it, my wife comes to me saying its not cold, all of the frozen food was thawed and its a mess. After throwing everything out, I called Samsung repair. Talked to someone in India who read from a script. She directed me to some tests I should do first. I did them, didnt work. Called again, more tests. All I want is my fridge fixed. Its under warranty. Whats the problem? Its that they are told not to send anyone and that the consumer should be satisfied spending $1,796.43 for a fridge that worked 4 months. Tomorrow, I am prepared to start the fight. Class action please.

At first the ice maker was the only problem. That happen about 6 months after we bought it. And the noise of the ice dropping (when it did finally drop, most of the time it was just stuck and tapping loudly) it sounded like a crash in the house. Next the repairman ordered a part that would fix it. It did not. When we called him back he said Samsung does not provide a repair manual and not many people have luck getting the ice maker to function properly. Then the whole control panel went out. I can not find a repair man to even come out to work on it. The food in the refrig. is freezing and the food in the freezer has so much frost on the food we can not eat it. I have read many complaints of the same issues. IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN STARTING A CLASS ACTION SUIT? My wife and I bought the beautiful new dishwasher and from day one using it the machine doesn’t wash our dishes. If I could give this dishwasher a negative rating I would. It doesn’t deserve a 1 star. We’ve had 3 service calls where techs can’t find anything wrong with it once they run their diagnosis. The tech have given us advice on different types of washing cycles or soap to use and our dishes continue to come out dirty. We’ve even been hand washing prior to putting them in and still come out filthy. Samsung has been horrible to deal with as they just continue to say there is nothing more they can do for us at this time even though they understand it’s not washing. I would never purchase from them again as they do not stand behind their products. I’m not asking for much. Just a dishwasher that washes the dishes. Service ticket number # **.

We bought this condo in October. The first time I tried to use the oven (to cook a turkey) I set the oven temperature to 350. Hours later the turkey was barely cooked. I raised the temperature to about 400 and eventually it cooked. I then bought an oven thermometer and used it the next time I wanted to cook something in the oven. To get to 350 degrees I have to set the temperature to 425. To get to 375 I set it to 450 or so. The indicator light indicates the temperature to which Ive set it but the oven doesnt heat up to where Ive set it. Since the range is out of warranty Samsung wants me to call a service technician. What Ive read about this problem online suggests its either the sensor or thermostat thats at fault. Ive asked for the part number for the sensor and thermostat for my model - and they cant even give me that. I dont want to pay for a service call only to be charged labor and an inflated price for the part since my husband is an electrician and can likely do the repair himself at a much lower cost.By the way, this condo came with a Samsung dishwasher and over-the-range microwave oven. The first time we used the dishwasher it didnt work, so we called the only service tech around who deals with Samsung appliances and $115 later he said the repairs would cost about $360 (he admitted the problem here is quite common with the Samsung dishwashers). For about $400 I bought a new Frigidaire dishwasher and have had no problems since. The Samsung microwave oven works but sometimes the same amount of water heats to hot and sometimes just to very warm when set to the same cooking time.My conclusion: Samsung kitchen appliances are absolutely worthless. Stay away from them!

Our user manual was not up to date and did not show where the “reset” button was located. We called Samsung to complain, were told it was beyond the warranty. They scheduled a service company in our area. We later found out that no service company will touch it in our area due to the problems with the ice maker. The bottom line: We have no ice available in our Samsung french door refrigerator. The ice maker is overly complex, and not user friendly. There are too many ways for this unit to fail. Now the first warm day in April its already started again.I have tried contacting their Samsung customer service line, which they told me it was out of warranty of course, I would be responsible for all charges. The Authorized Service center would have to Diagnose the problem, I will have to miss a day of work $$. Then order part, reschedule repair, miss another day of work $$. We purchased this Samsung Stainless Steel Model DW80F800UWS from Best Buy as a package deal along with a fridge, oven and washer/dryer. This dishwasher has been the only problem and has been defective in the first two months after our purchase. We had a drainage error code problem which a local company contracted with Samsung came out and replaced the part. After 6 months, they had to come out again and replace test another part. These both were under warranty. A third time the same sensor had gone out and they said it wasnt under warranty and that we would have to pay $350 to fix. This was almost half the price of the product. We could not afford to fix the problem and after leaving it sit for 6 months and hand washing dishes I decided to test it to see if it would work and it has ran 5 full cycles. My only guess is that the sensor has to dry out. So after every time I wash I leave the door open to air dry the unit and wait almost 24 hours before loading it up and running it. This is a pain and I know that my working unit will soon give me that dreaded error code again and Im back to hand washing dishes. Samsung definitely should have a class action lawsuit against them for knowingly having installed faulty sensors that give out immediately and making owners annoyed but happy at a free immediate repair on them until warranty expires and then we have to spend hundreds on a part that probably cost them a few bucks to make. Id also like to include that his unit has never successfully cleaned dishes. There have always been food residue along with wet dishes after the cycle has completed. I actually had a repairmen tell me that with this unit I needed to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Also, they told me to not use tabs but to use powder so I could add twice the amount of dishwasher cleaner needed to break down food particles. I also need to run the kitchen faucet awhile before starting to get the water hot it would wash better. I, like an idiot did all of these things. Maybe if I stand on one leg and twirl around it might make it work also.

My husband & I renovated 2 apartments in 2012 and purchased new appliances from Best Buy -- 2 French door refrigerators, microwave/cook oven -- to the tune of a $3,500 to $4,000. We thought this manufacturer had a trustworthy reputation, thus we bought their brand name. Unfortunately, problems abound with our refrigerator & microwave. The microwave required servicing as did the refrigerator. The freezer is cold but refrigerator is warm. Calls to the service department have been frustrating. Someone was to get back to us -- but didnt. In a total bureaucratic manner one blames the other for incompetency and POOR SAMSUNG SERVICE. Tell your family, friends, neighbors and even people you dont know well -- DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS.

On August 3, 2015 my Samsung Microwave SMH2117S caught on fire and nearly burned down my house. I had notified Samsung about five weeks prior to the fire to report that the microwave was coming on by itself when you would open the door. I was told at that time there was nothing they could do unless I purchased their almost $400.00 extended warranty. I refuse to as the microwave was only one-year-old. And then two days before the fire, the microwave started coming on by itself without anyone even touching it. I then decided to simply replace it. Two days later as I was getting ready to replace it, it caught fire and did major damage to my home. Samsung is coming out to my damaged home in the morning.

We purchased a top of the line Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80H995OU5/AA. After less than two days of use, it would no longer complete a wash cycle and the door would not stay closed. Upon further inspection we also discover the rear panel of the cabinet was severely bent. After a call to the local dealer, he called back the next day reporting that Samsung would not let him service the machine, but only a Samsung Service Center. Samsung wanted two business days to contact the center to set the appointment. After some discussion they agreed to contact the Local Authorized Service Center (Remedy Appliance Service and Repair) while I was on the line. The Samsung Customer rep. disconnected the line without the connection. I tracked the Authorized Service Center down and offered to pay them to look at the machine. An Authorized Service Representative looked at the machine, determined it was not repairable. He took pictures and told us Samsung would call in one to two business days. They did not. I called Samsung, talking to several service representatives. My request was to remove the machine and return my money, as the machine worked less than 24 hours. The washer cost $1,600. I have now been on the phone with four customer service representatives including executive customer service. I have been told after further extensive processing, I might have my money returned in 14 to 21 days, however the process they describe is about four days, requiring further extensive time on our part. Just horrible service.

Purchased this refrigerator in 6/2011. In March of 2013, a problem started with the water dripping into the vegetable bin & under it (one side only). Reported the problem to Samsung and an order for repair was submitted. There were two subsequent visits within a two month period by the same repairman but whatever adjustments and parts that he replaced, the problem has not been solved. I called Samsung and since I did not purchase the Extended Warranty, they would not pursue this any further. They did ask if I wanted to purchase the Warranty now. I refused. Since I have reviewed the issues of other consumers, I feel that Samsung should review and investigate this problem and repair or replace whatever is necessary to resolve this matter.

I purchased this horrible Samsung refrigerator Model RF263BEABC from a local appliance company on 9/12/16. The sales person was really pushing the Samsung as being the greatest of all brands made. LOL. Then it started making a horrible loud gun-like popping/cracking noises at different times of the day. The popping is so loud it would wake me up at night and my sister said it sounded scary. I called the place I purchased and was told to call Samsung and it was not their problem. So I called and was told it was a normal sound from the temperature in the house adjusting with the refrigerator? It still has not gotten any better so called them back and was told it would get better after the unit gets older? Today I called back to Samsung and informed the of a so called recall notice was sent out secretly in 9/16 to appliance techs about the popping noises and that they need to call for the parts to repair it. Well the man told me that was not true and no such recall was issued. This POS refrigerator was made in MEXICO. Beware of Samsung products. They are of poor quality and they are bunch of LIARS.

Samsung smh9187st - Building a new house and having an old Emerson counter microwave, I put in the Samsung consumer report highly rated at the time in to find out the Samsung company does not even stand behind its products. For three years after installing it I did not use it since my Emerson worked fine. After the birth of my twins I started using it (16 months ago). First the door latch broke, no problem. I just fixed it. Next dreaded SE code put card board in between ribbon. Okay back in service. Yesterday while heating water for warming of twins milk, thing dies completely. Thank you Emerson at least your product is still working after more than ten years. After reading all I have on this issue Samsung products will not be bought by me ever again.

We have a Samsung refrigerator Model# RF266AERS/xaa that stopped cooling at 3 1/2 years. A certified Samsung tech (only one in SE Wisconsin) was unable to repair. The problem was in the sealed system which has a five year warranty. He contacted Samsung and took all the necessary documentation as he was directed and sent it to Samsung. That was 4 weeks ago during which time I have called and been connected to executive customer service seven times, each phone call a minimum of 40 minutes on hold. I have sent my sales receipt twice. They always have problems locating some piece of information but always give a new transaction number and a very polite vague excuse. I have called the certified dealer twice. They resubmitted info and the second time even had the regional manager for Samsung send it in. That was one week ago. At my last call on Oct 2, 2014... This is ongoing and I am now waiting again for 2-3 days. Mind you these calls are all 40-60 minutes long and it has been 6 1/2 weeks without a working refrigerator! It also appears from other submissions, this is a big problem with Samsung and others.

I bought model number rf263besr serial jkj44bbaesr side by side Samsung refrigerator. I had a complete disaster for my Christmas day celebration. I am informing the consumer that I tried to get a refund on my money from Samsung refund department claims for the food that was spoiled in my Samsung refrigerator this past Christmas. I ask to speak to a supervisor about this matter. They refused to put me with that contact and forced me for herself to handle the problem and forced me to have a technician come out. I have had a default ice maker (I assumed because I never did get a technician from PC Richards) and coolant problem arise recently, and to add a 400 dollar grocery bill that had to be put into the garbage on Christmas Day. Please see class action lawsuit from the complaints as well dating back to 2006.

The top wire shelf is held in place by the slides built in to the plastic side walls. The service tech came with a new shelf which also fell out. He stated that the wall between freezer and refrigerator was concave behind the plastic, pulling the shelf support over, and there was nothing he could do. Samsung Executive Customer Relations held fast to the one year warranty. My claim: this is a manufacturing defect going back to day one (the fridge is a lemon) and Samsung should remedy regardless of the timeline. The rep added that she would initiate a service ticket in spite of that fact that it was concluded this problem was not repairable. If I had this refrigerator for ten years and had this problem Id take my lumps. Customer relations tells me there is no higher appeal. This is not standing behind the product. Consequences: cannot use 1/3 of the freezer space. I have another higher-end Samsung refrigerator and it is great. This is sad for a company of this size and reputation.

We purchased the oven in 2016 with a convection feature which we initially really liked & used the convection part almost exclusively. In 2019 I saw a flash of light which I thought was flames coming from the back of the stove. I immediately turned the Oven off & the flames disappeared. Since then we had 3 issues where the convection oven got much hotter than the temperature display indicated & burned the food. We had a repairman come out who determined that the oven temperature was 27 degrees hotter than what the temperature indicator showed. He adjusted the range to lower the temperature 27 degrees to match the range indicator. All of these incidents happened with the convection feature. We stopped using it & only used the regular baking feature. Four days later, my sister was baking a meatloaf at 350 degrees. 15 minutes before it should have been done, it looked like it was already done & before she could take it out of the oven a loud explosion occurred shattering the glass baking dish into pieces. Needless to say, we do not trust this range and will never buy another Samsung appliance!

We purchased our very expensive Samsung fridge, French doors, freezer on the bottom. March of 2017. After 6 months we had issues with the drawers and shelves cracking and breaking. Not only are the parts cheaply made but almost a $1000 in warranty calls with Lowes has been spent on trying to fix the ice maker. It is a vicious cycle. The entire thing freezes over, we have to defrost it then wait for the entire unit to reset. When we DO have ice, the ice doesnt Staub cold, water leaks all over the inside and outside of the fridge and into the floor. We are so sick of this issue. We have only had the unit for 2 years and were STUCK with it!

I called my repair technician who ordered a replacement display. After being backordered for two months, the item finally came in and he replaced the item on the refrigerator. The replacement failed to fix the problem. I have tried contacting Samsung support and their website is horrible, their chat service abominable and when I did finally get to chat, I was told I would hear from Samsung in two business days. Nothing after 10 days. I cannot find any repair service that will work on this brand. Lowes should not carry Samsung as the product is so bad. Wasted my money. Never again.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator (French door/stainless steel type) because we had a small space to put one in so it had to be a certain dimension. I will NEVER buy anymore Samsung products again! Less than one year after we bought it I started to notice that ice was building up on the ice maker so it had to be defrosted every month or so. Next the ice maker fan stopped working and you cant buy just the small plastic fan...no. You have to buy the whole unit at $150.00. Thanks for forcing your customers to spend way more money than you have to! After having the fan unit replaced we noticed that the ice was building up even more and preventing the arm from moving the ice into the ice bin. After calling the repairman, we found out that the ice maker is now broken and it will not make or dispense ice. He also called Samsung for a replacement part and found out that the icemakers are on backorder so it will be a couple of months before we get one because the amount of people waiting for one is rather large. Evidently we are NOT the only people with this problem. We are now looking at spending another $250.00 for a new icemaker. All of the Samsung products I have purchased (washer and TV) have turned out to be crap. The washer had a recall because of the motor causing the lid to blow off of the washer so we got a crappy 150.00 to go buy another new washer that was NOT a Samsung! The TV the screen went out so we bought another TV that also was NOT a Samsung. I will never buy another Samsung product (including phones) because their products are cheaply made and breakdown soon after you buy them. I would never recommend their products to anyone EVER!

We bought the stainless steel, french door model, with a bottom freezer. It was quite expensive, just under $2700 with tax. The big lure for us was that it has two ice makers, one up top where the ice comes out through the door, and one inside the bottom freezer where it just falls into a bin. Well, shortly after the warranty expired, the bottom icemaker stopped working. We called in a Samsung approved repairman and the cost to fix the icemaker was $448! WOW! We did not have it repaired, because we thought the cost of the repair was outrageous. Also, the remaining working icemaker (the top one), when set to dispense cubed ice, spits out some cubes and a LOT of bits & pieces of ice. Note: We do NOT go back and forth between cubed and crushed on the ice selection; it stays at cubed all the time. We probably will not ever buy Samsung appliances again.

I checked the circuit breakers and all were fine. I checked the manual and unplugged the unit, waited a minute and plugged it in but no luck - still dead. I called customer relations and Gerardo informed me that the unit was out of warranty and he could schedule a repair at my cost. I informed him that this was our first Samsung appliance and having it break just over 2 years when we only warm up leftovers is not acceptable. I told him that we had a LItton counter top microwave which we had for over 20 years without any problems and sold it when we purchased this unit. He checked for any recalls and said that there were no issues similar to mine and I would have to have it repaired. I told him this would be the first and last Samsung product I will ever buy and I will tell my friend and relatives not to buy this crap. I, too, checked Consumer Reports prior to buying this unit just like one of the posters here and bought it because they gave it a good rating. I will not trust them anymore.

Years back, we bought a Samsung washer, and had an awful experience, but we decided to give them a second try because we have always loved their phones. We bought a beautiful fridge and hoped for the best. It wasnt the case. We just replace our Samsung french door, bottom drawer fridge after 4 years and almost 1 month. Keep in mind, we paid $2,000.00 for this appliance. If you Google this fridge, you will see that every person who has ever owned one has had water leaking and drain line issues. We were no exception. After about 2 years of ownership the fridge began to leak water at the front left hand corner. We called our serviceman and were told this happens with every single one of these. We were instructed to thaw it out with a hairdryer! When that did not solve the issue, we were instructed to completely empty the fridge, defrost it for at least 24 hours, and then turn it back on. Each remedy worked for a time, then same issue would pop up again. We limped it along for two years, with the problem reoccurring more and more frequently. Finally, we had to thaw it about every day, and rather than loose our food, we bought a new fridge. We were told to contact Samsung, and they tried to say that we did not have the properly fridge unleveled (it was professionally installed), and offered to repair it at our cost. To add insult to injury, it damaged my wooden floors, and the edge of an antique cabinet. Please save yourself the grief and do not purchase any fridge from this company.

Whenever we were in the market to replace our appliances, I always looked to Samsung first. We have 4 Samsung TVs, a refrigerator, 4 smartphones, Blu-Ray player and a washing machine and we love them all. That was until I had the misfortune of purchasing an over the range microwave. Here youve read all the stories about these microwaves and their failure on sensor errors just after the warranty expires. Its a poorly designed product that fails due to the humidity created when cooking on the stove. The only thing worse than the design of the product is Samsungs support for this inferior product.I havent replaced the unit yet because Im afraid the next unit I purchase (Hint: not a Samsung product) will encounter the same problems. I have a countertop microwave someone gave me so I dont really need an over the range model. But when I do the kitchen remodel, Im not sure what to put in its place. Purchased a Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF217ACBP in July 2012. Within 6 months, the ice maker broke and there would be huge amounts of water sitting in the produce bins. Had the ice maker replaced by the Sears tech and just emptied water from bins. Then, 1 month after warranty expired, the fridge started making a loud noise and would not ever stop. The 6 cooling vents in the refrigerator ice up and the temp is about 50 degrees causing all the food to spoil. I have unplugged it and defrosted it numerous times but within a week or two, it ices up again and all food is lost. I contacted Sears, where we purchased it and asked why they carry and sell a product that is obviously defective. They gave me a number to call for Samsung. Called them and they said that it was covered by them for 5 years but I would have to pay for the first service call but everything after that was covered. In reading ALL of the complaints online, I learned that to fix the problem was approx $500 and that only lasts for a short time until the problem returns. This Samsung product should be recalled since there are thousands of complaints regarding the same issue. We dont have a lot of money and a refrigerator that is less than 2 years old should not have a problem that is obviously a design flaw that does not have a permanent fix or repair. I have called local repairmen and none of them want to work on it because they know it cant be fixed and do not want to pit their reputation on the line. How can something like this with the magnitude of complaints not be addressed?

I have a Samsung fridge, stove, microwave, and dishwasher. Everything works great except the dishwasher. It looks great from the outside. The control panel is on the top of the door, giving it a sleek look. However, it does a terrible job washing dishes. Dishes on the bottom and top racks both come out sticky with grime. If there are any food particles on a dish, this dishwasher will ensure that ALL the dishes are now covered in food. The dishwasher is also really, really, really slow. The cycle time is probably close to two hours. Anyway, Im happy with my other Samsung appliances, but buying a new dishwasher is high on my priority list. Dont buy a Samsung dishwasher. They suck. My fiancé and I left our home with our daughter at approximately 8 AM this morning for work. We had both spent significant time in the kitchen before leaving and the microwave (SMH9187ST) was properly functioning (displaying the time, no one had used it since the night before.) When we returned around 5:30 PM, there was an electrical smoke smell emanating in the house. My fiancé immediately followed the smell to the kitchen, where he saw our Samsung microwave was smoking and the clock was not displaying. Upon opening the microwave, we observed more smoke and the scorched insides of the microwave. The glass turn table had shattered and there was a charred hole in the rear of the interior. There was obvious scorching up the back of the unit as well as on the top. He immediately opened the cabinet above the over-the-range microwave and unplugged it. There was no one in the house during the day, except our dog and 2 cats. The unit appears to have spontaneously combusted. After researching this model, I cannot believe it has been allowed to remain in homes this long after so many reports of damage, fire, and potential disasters. We are seriously lucky our home did not burn down with our pets inside today. Our daughter turns 1 tomorrow and is usually home with the babysitter, luckily she was not home today. I dont even want to think about how badly this could have ended for me and my family.

Purchased this attractive SS Samsung french door bottom freezer refrigerator a few years ago for $2500. It started leaking water in and under the drawers and making a loud noise. Apparently, this is such a common problem, most appliance repair companies won’t guarantee the repair as it may freeze up again in a few months and fail again. After being hit with super storm Sandy, I bought five Samsung appliances, each one has flaws. I am so disgusted with owning these products. The quality is very poor. The stove I purchased cooks really well but it is vented from the door. Years ago, the stoves vented from the top and sometimes pan handles burned or were extremely hot. Today, they vent from the door. Now I noticed that the five knobs are all burnt. Since I own the stove for more than a year, it is not covered and they feel this is not a mechanical problem. This is not my fault. It is a defect in the product if it burns the handles. I took out a warranty from Lowes and they say it is not covered under the extended warranty. This is a problem with the way the stove vents - it should be covered under the warranty. I am very unhappy.

On December 27, 2013, I bought a Samsung kitchen appliance suite at The Home Depot. I made the purchase at store #6326. Unfortunately, the microwave (SMH1816S) has not performed well. The microwave does not powers on, but the timer still counts down. I do not expect a microwave to last forever. However, I do expect it to last more than 18 months.

Four days ago, wife went for ice cream and all items in freezer were melted, ice cubes and all frozen items melted. There are only 2 adults in this house and we eat out all the time so this appliance is not abused, opened and closed 500 times a day by 5 kids. Wife calls Samsung and gets the run around from someone reading a card...do this, do that, and next day, thanks to the idiot, the temperature had gone up another 10 degrees. We called again and again, got another idiot reading off another card that could not give any usable information, and the best they could do is set us up with a generic all-brand appliance repair private contractor whom, after checking the c/os against him, sounded shady.I cancelled the call and took a bullet with Sears $275 plus tax $294 on top of the ton of money this hunk of Asian crap cost me (the contractor grade American fridge I got with the townhouse was working fine for 28 years until I unplugged it the day this crap came into my house). So much for Asian technology, and do not expect any red carpet treatment from Samsung CSRs!!!!! I am so sorry I bought this!!! And will never call Samsung again. As absurd as it may sound, a Honda service writer may have offered better information as what to do to check the appliance!

I purchased a new stainless steel electric range model NE595R0ABSR/AA and used it once when the ceramic top appeared to have a bubble inside. I contacted the place of purchase and they replaced the range with the same model. I dont cook much and within a couple of weeks, I was once again trying to get rid of the marks on the range top. I used the cleaning product recommended, but it didnt do anything as far as making the top cleaner looking. I contacted the purchaser who couldnt do anything because it was more than 30 days after the purchase date. It was suggested that I contact Samsung. I did and was on the phone with them for over 60 minutes trying to get the range returned and replaced with a new model. Samsung transferred me 3 times. Bottom line is it is a cosmetic issue and they will service it but not replace the defective range. The range is listed as a single product and doesnt advertise it as the best cosmetic range, but the BEST stainless steel electric range. I ran into 2 other customers who had the same problem. Do you think there is a problem with the way the smooth top is manufactured? I would NEVER recommend a Samsung product to anyone. Apparently Samsung is not worried about customer satisfaction. THINK TWICE BEFORE PURCHASING THIS RANGE. DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON WARRANTIES BEFORE BUYING A SAMSUNG PRODUCT.

My refrigerator (Samsung RF24FSEDBSR) has a unusual noise coming from the back. The only way to stop the noise is to unplug the unit for 24 hours and let it defrost (really a refrigerator without a defrost cycle). I have seen where ice builds up and the fan is actually hitting against the ice and thats what causes the noise. The 2nd issue is the ice maker, or rather the lack of ice making. The ice maker is always dropping water into the drip tray, and the tray stays full. When you dispense ice the ice is wet and usually a bunch of crumbles VS solid cubes. We called Samsung and went to Frys where we bought the unit and all they say is that its a common problem, then said check the gasket/seal on the door that lines up with the ice chute, and is the chute door closing all the way. Both worked as they should but we still have water dripping.

Purchased from Lowe’s Nov 2019. Refrigerator is so noisy. It will actually wake you up at night. Spoke to Lowe’s. They admitted customers complain about the noise of these refrigerators. Called Samsung. Told them about the noise. Told them it was installed by Lowe’s. Was told if they send a tech to look at it. If nothing actually wrong with it I would have to pay. Refrigerator is three months old now and has extended warranty. Lessons learned. Stay away from Samsung.

I purchased a Sumsung dishwasher new and approx. 18 months later, it stopped working. The replacement parts and repair totaled only $115.00 less than I paid for the product new. The repairman said Samsung was NOT dependable, but they often stood behind their products and would pay for parts and/or repair especially since this machine was relatively new. I also heard that if I paid to have this repaired, that Id probably have to call repair in next few years again. Samsung refused to help pay for even the parts, so Im chucking it and buying a Bosch. I dont need bells and whistles, I just need a dishwasher that works.

I was told the item is out of warranty. They will not provide a part number or allow you to purchase the items to repair the issue. They do have preferred service companies aka sub-contractors. Bought Samsung range, refrigerator and microwave at the beginning of 2013. The microwave died after 2 days and the Lowes representative let us return it. He said he had seen a lot of problems, so we got a GE instead. The touch pad on the range never worked properly and have had techs out here 6 times. They can never fix it in one call. They have to diagnose, then order parts. It is now broken again and we are due to have a tech come out on September 1st. Every time they come, I have to miss 1/2 a day of work. No weekend appointments available. The handle on the refrigerator broke off and they repaired that. Now the plastic shelves are breaking. These products are very cheaply made. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!

I have had some of the same bad experiences with Samsung products, so I decided to share my experience to help those facing the same problems as me. I have owned the top of the line dmt800RHS dishwasher for less than two years. Initially the only issue was that the dishes would not get clean enough, so I spoke to the Lowes sales person who told me to make sure the water was hot at the sink before I start my washer. Even though there is a heating element in the machine, this did seem to help. Then, we started to smell what a lot of you are complaining about. Finally, the last straw was this latest issue with the machine filling with water but not starting the wash cycle. It also drains okay. I took the washer outside and removed everything inside it. Dont worry, its not rocket science, you can do it too. Just take your time. What I found was a piece of calcium stuck between the impeller and deflector. The calcium had hardened on the heating elements. I had to remove trapped food from inside the screen. I believe that is where the smell is coming from. I laid the machine on its back and removed the white plastic cover on the bottom that has two screws. Use a flat tip screw driver to release the tabs. Once inside, use a pair of pliers to pinch and slide the clamp back to remove the black hose at about the middle of the washer bottom. Stand it upright and blast the interior with your garden hose. If you live with hard water and your heating coil is covered with calcium put the hose back on and in the upright position submerge the coil in a CLR/water mixture. It might be a good idea to use a dishwasher cleaner monthly to keep the odor and calcium down. I hope I helped someone.

We purchased our top fridge - bottom freezer unit from Best Buy approximately 5 years ago. Last May it started making a lot of noise and then stopped cooling. We paid over $300.00 to fix it (defrosted it due to ice in back and replaced some parts). Now, one year later its not cooling at all. The ice maker no longer senses when it is full either. It is a piece of junk. I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance.

I bought our 4-door refrigerator in 12/11. About a month later, the right door bins started falling out. I called Samsung directly and ordered replacements. No problem. The wrong bins came so thinking I was responsible, I called and reordered them. About 3 weeks passed and I hadnt received them, so I called them again. I was told that the order hadnt been placed so I ordered them again. I still hadnt received them after another 3-4 weeks, so I called them again. I was told that they were ordered but they didnt know where they were? She placed the order again. Another month passed and I hadnt received them yet, so I called and asked to speak to their customer service department. The gentleman assured me that they were backordered (never heard that before) and that they were now in stock and he would ship them immediately. I called the following week to make sure that they had been sent. Some lady assured me that they were shipped on the 15th of September. That was September 15, 2011, today is 9/29/11. I havent received them yet so I called and asked for customer service again. This time, I got their executive customer service rep. I was told that their records showed I had received some bins in early July of 2011. No record of my corrected order. I explained to her that those were the wrong bins and that I had made several calls after that, reordering the correct bins. She just didnt know what happened but assured me that she was looking in to it. I had explained everything to her and then she asked me for my email address and said she would send me one regarding the circumstances. I asked her for a direct call instead and she said she could not make out going calls? That was this morning. Still no email. I called Sears, explained to them what had been going on. They said they had my warranty info and would send them out immediately. He repeated the description to me 3 times so there are no mistakes. He gave me his full name and direct number too. We always buy Sears products and I dont know why we bought the Samsung. Ill never do it again. They dont support their product in anyway. The only reason I gave it one star is because of the size. Thats it.

I bought new Samsung appliances one and a half years ago. They are now out of their one year warranty. My refrigerator started making a loud noise about three weeks ago. I could not get a repair until three weeks later. $239.00 dollar repair because the unit froze up. Samsung would not do anything about it. I expect to service my car after it is that old but not my refrigerator. And there is no guarantee that it wont do it again. Also our new Samsung washer already has a broken piece on it. Poor design. I stand behind my work when I build someone a kitchen and I think Samsung should do the same. I would not recommend their products to any of my clients or anyone for that matter. Why is it you always have these problems with larger corporations?

I have had issues with my four-door refrigerator the last 6 weeks. We had noticed the frozen foods werent quite as frozen as they should be and then the ice maker stopped dumping ice. I had noticed previously that the ice in the holder always froze against the right-hand side of the bucket and would stop dispensing ice. I then noticed the ice maker would fill with water and would produce ice but never dumped it. I hit the reset button and it worked perfectly. It never would begin normal ice production on its own, and I had to continually hit the reset button for ice to be dumped ever two hours. Now, the freezer has become the fridge! No ice now and all of the food in that portion are thawed, just water in the ice tray that never freezes. I called the helpdesk (almost said it with a straight face) and they could do nothing except send a serviceman to repair the unit at my cost. I asked if they would guarantee their work and she said that they could only try and fix it. I told her to me try was not a guarantee of it being fixed. I asked if they would stand behind the work of their suggested contractors and she said again, they would try and fix it.I am anxiously awaiting a call from the repairman to see the cost of him driving to my house and the estimated charges he thinks he will have. I will ask him if HE stands behind his work since Samsung won’t. If it goes as it has with all of the other customers on this site, I will NOT be buying a new refrigerator from Samsung, and I will contact Lowe’s and tell them of my displeasure with one of their distributors.

Apparently either Consumer Affairs OR Samsung does NOT want reviews of clothes washers as that is no longer a product which can be reviewed. Ours is 3 years old, sat in our basement for nearly a year from the time it was new until we finished our house. Only two people in the house, used once every two weeks. Lots of issues with not filling, not pumping water, not spinning. Samsung says Too bad. You should have paid even more than the $520 so we would fix that piece of crap....sucker!

Thinking of a Samsung fridge? Stop, turn, and run away as fast as you can. Compressor on our 6 month old unit began failing nearly two months ago. Terribly loud noises coming from compressor. Over 2 dozen calls to customer service resulted in a list of stupid hoops to jump through. Level the appliance, reset temp, buy and replace water filter... Blah, blah, blah. After 4 weeks, they finally sent technician to look at it. I was told noise was coming from inside compressor (duh) and that there was nothing he could do with it. 3 more weeks passed with no followup from Samsung. So three days ago, fridge totally shot craps. $300 worth of food ruined. Now Im pissed. So now they opened up a 4th case number, and are going to send a repair technician. Problem is, the repair company listed on service confirmation is same company that visited us first time. The same company that is not equipped to work on internal elements of the unit. Meanwhile, were living out of coolers. These people are by far THE WORST I have EVER dealt with in my life. No class, crappy products. Clueless. I no longer want it fixed. I want the piece of crap out of my house. I will never again buy any Samsung branded product. Where can I sign on to a class action suit?

WE HATE THIS FRIDGE! Samsung should be ashamed! This is the side by side model # rs25h5111sr. Its 2015 & with the tech we have now, there shouldnt be these issues. I have over 5 major complaints about this fridge! 1st the noise! When we open the freezer door & then shut it, it sounds like the haunted mansion over @ Diz! It expands & creaks like the walls in the haunted mansion. It was so comical, I invited neighbors over to witness it! They think its hysterical, we do not! When we also open the freezer door & shut it, theres a knocking sound like someone with a hammer is banging for about 3 or 4 times! The thing pops & cracks but not just little pops or cracks. Its so loud it awakens us in the middle of the night! Sounds like someone breaking into our home. The motor is also noisy... why? Did Samsung forget to put needed insulation in this fridge or did they just make it cheaply? After realizing the drawers were cheap slide in & out, we have decided Samsung made everything CHEAPLY! The ice machine sounds like a fire hose when it fills the ice tray. Weve adjusted the water pressure & still sounds the same! We were going to return it the 1st wk. We called Samsung & were told that the fridge needs to adjust & the plastic is new... yada, yada, yada. We also didnt return it due to it works its just SUPER NOISY & getting it in & out of the house is a total fiasco! Samsungs engineers need to go back to school & learn what fridges In the US are supposed to sound like, which is quiet! The other issues we do not care for are: The drawer placement, along with no wheels on the drawers & the unusual light they decided to put in the back of the fridge. The light isnt a good kind of light. Its eerie which goes along w/ the haunted like noise that comes from it! Dont buy this fridge if you want peace & quiet!

Bought my Samsung Microwave ME21F707MJT alongside the Samsung slide in range 2 months ago and recently installed it over the weekend. Ive used it about 3-4 times to heat up some food and once before to make some popcorn. Well this time around I went to make some popcorn using the preset popcorn button as usual and went to the bedroom. After a few minutes I smelled burning smoke and sent my friend to check on the popcorn. She screamed out my name and I went running to the kitchen only to see the microwave in flames. I put it out with a wet tshirt I had used to clean something off the countertop with. Disaster averted.Called BestBuy, BestBuy transferred me to Samsung. Samsung was more worried if I was injured or had property damage. Gave me a ticket number like others before and said I would get a call back within 24hrs. (9:15 am) Finally got a call from Samsung at around 3:00 pm the following day and again, they seem more worried if I was injured or incurred property damage. I was told that a service agent would be scheduled to come to my house and service the microwave. Yep, you read right. Service my microwave. I told her politely that I am a loyal Samsung customer with Samsung phones, tvs, tablets, gas range and microwave, and that I DO NOT want a repaired, serviced dysfunctional microwave that caught on fire and is liable to do so again and Samsung should be happy that this incident wasnt worst than it was and that they should be more than willing to replace a burnt up microwave. She said that was not how Samsung warranty works.

I am so upset with SAMSUNG appliances. We purchased a refrigerator Model #RF28HFEDBSR from them in 2014. It worked fine until months ago when we had Samsungs provider One Stop Appliance come and fix it. $330 and a 90 day warranty. At 120 days the same problem occurred so we called the Geek Squad because we purchased it at Best Buy. They came and fixed the exact same problem for another $330. Now we are again about 20 days out of the 90 day warranty and Samsung WONT DO ANYTHING!!Its ridiculous that we have to pay for the same issue to be fixed over and over again. They are supposed to have such good customer service but we are certainly not feeling it. They told me twice they would help but they would charge us AGAIN to fix the same problem for a THIRD time!! Why do they get high ratings??? I dont understand it. STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Please share! Thanks.

We are having the repairman in on Monday because for the second time in 2 year our Samsung fridge is freezing lettuce and cheese. Yogurt is turning moldy even though there is still 3 weeks left till expiry. When the fridge works it’s great. When this happens it makes me nervous. We do not have an ice maker and I often wonder if it thinks there is one because it makes this strange clunky noises. Last time this happened we had to unplug the fridge so it could thaw out so they could change a part. I sure hope we don’t have to do this again. We only have 1 fridge so it does cause a bit of an inconvenience. My main problem is that we are losing food. This should not happen.

Bad product support & bad quality product: Samsung product is not working (product model no. 180 LITER, model name: Samsung double door)I’m frustrated after buying the Samsung refrigerator product and I m not satisfied with the service of this product. I bought the Samsung fridge last year. Now I have a lot of troubles at the present. It is not working. There is a major problem; the refrigerator is not working. Kindly register my complaint and replace the refrigerator I bought. If the Samsung refrigerator is not put into use by you or your authorized representatives, I will be left with no other option but to seek the legal assistance of the appropriate forum to get my grievances redressed.I am not really happy with the way your after care service centre is functioning, since they are simply interested in charging the customers rather than addressing the issue/problem rightfully. I hope you will understand my mental agony and the problem I have been facing all these days and set the issue amicably, since it is the responsibility and duty of the producing firms to attend to the customer’s needs. But yeah, Samsung has a very bad after sale support. They basically sell you the stuff and then forget about you after that. They dont care about the complaints, and they dont stand behind their products. I will never purchase another Samsung product again. I dont care how good they are. There are always alternatives, and I would rather deal with a reputable and ethical company. I want to replace my Samsung refrigerator immediately. I have very bad experience with Samsung product. Even I dont know where I am supposed to go with my complaint. What should I do? I will never purchase any Samsung product again, even suggest others to buy Samsung product. I am requesting you to see the matter and try to solve my problem.

I cant describe how horrible experience I have with Samsung product, lets begin, in 2013 I bought Samsung French door refrigerator ( RFG297HDRS/XAA) from Best Buy and I paid extra for extended warranty (which I found out it is not extended warranty. It is duplicated warranty). Now in 2016 it is broke down. I talked to Samsung few times. There is no authorized repair center close by and they had to talk to Sears Service but make long story short the estimate of repair is around $600 maybe even more for replacing control board. I recommend to stay with common brand like Whirlpool or Kenmore, Amman instead of paying more for some foreign brand which it cost a lot to repair plus they have very short life.

It leaks, and Samsung is refusing to replace it. Dont believe their warranties, they will try their hardest to get out of actually doing anything. It failed with a LE code and a puddle of water. We called the same day, and the earliest the Samsung-contracted repair tech could come was a week later. Samsung doesnt contract with a real repair company, its something called General Appliance and Insurance Service. The tech showed up with no parts and almost no tools, and in a tiny car that couldnt haul a dishwasher. He pronounced that while he could see evidence of water (dried soap residue), he didnt see any water, so there was nothing he could do. Never mind that we live in a desert and it had been a week since it leaked. We got on the phone with 1-800-Samsung, who transfers you to Executive Service, which is the call center where they tell you jokes before giving you nothing. I told ** that the tech had been unable to find the leak and made no repairs. Given that nothing had been fixed on the unit, I said it would leak again and asked for a replacement unit. ** refused. He said it has to leak three times before they will replace it. The next day, it leaks again. We call it in, and now were waiting for the tech to come out and do nothing again, knowing weve got at least one more round of this circus before I can throw this piece of trash into their truck and get a decent dishwasher.
