Samsung quality, latest innovations. Hi-tech comes to the fridge. Quiet (even the icemaker), lights up like a Christmas tree when opened. Well-thought-out inside configuration. Costs as much as my first car, but definitely worth it.

There are a couple main problems with the refrigerator (Samsung Refrigerato
There are a couple main problems with the refrigerator (Samsung Refrigerator Model RF323TEDBSR/AA):1. There is a design flaw in the upper ice dispenser. When you select cubed ice, the dispenser crushes about 1/3 to 1/2 of the ice cubes. The problem lies in the design of the module. The opening to the ice chute is just too small and/or too close to the crusher mechanism which is just above the ice chute. The auger feeds more ice per given amount of time (seconds) than can fall through the hole to the chute before building up a pile at the hole. As this pile of ice builds up, it eventually begins to feed into the crusher mechanism. This results in about one third to one half of the cubes being crushed. Samsung technical support asked us to empty and reset the ice module but it made no difference. Finally my wife called them and had to escalate to the upper tier of support and they sent a second module but we found no difference in performance.2. The second problem is with the overall quality of the refrigerator. The hinge/pins for the drawer lids broke within the first couple months of ownership. These are little plastic pins, which are about 1/2 the diameter of a pencil, that allow the clear plastic lid to swing open upward when you pull the crisper or meat/cheese drawers out. I fixed them by drilling them out and inserting a wooden dowel rod and securing them with some industrial strength glue. Theyve held for almost a year now like that.3. Finally, the silver finish is flaking off the control/menu panel. This is a cosmetic flaw I understand but for a 1 year old product this is absolutely unacceptable. Samsung refused to do anything for us on this and my wife was adamant that there should be some replacement part shipped but they refused.Overall we are finding out that the refrigerator is just poor quality. We purchased the refrigerator because it had all the features we wanted. The second ice maker in the lower freezer drawer was a big reason we bought it. Now we have to open that drawer and dig out the ice cubes for our drinks if we dont want crushed ice which is all we can get from the front dispenser.I also wanted to make a comment about the water filter. The Aqua Fresh filters that are rated to be a match for the Samsung model HAF-CIN are of poor quality. I had a 3-pack of filters and the first filter worked without any issues for many months. Then the indicator light came on telling me it was time to replace the filter. The second and 3 filters from that pack leaked water into the drawer just below the filter. I ultimately had to replace them with the Samsung filter. This is not a Samsung complaint, but rather for information so others know my experience with the off-brand filters.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher, model DD81-01549A_EN a little over a year and a half ago. It is the worst purchase I have ever made. The dishes do not come clean unless you wash them prior to putting them in the dishwasher (kind of defeats the purpose). If you have cereal bowls, forget about finding a good way to load them. The bottom rack tines are at an odd angle and hold some plates too close together. The silverware must be rinsed and loaded working end up, and dont put 2 spoons in the same bin. I followed all of the manufacturer recommendations for loading and running the piece of crap. It is the worst dishwasher I have ever used. A total waste of money. I should have spent a little more for a different brand. Will never buy Samsung again. Customer service said sorry, you must be loading it wrong. Dont waste your money.

We purchased this Samsung refrigerator R271 based on the name and also word of mouth from other people, a big mistake. This past Thanksgiving November 2012, we found water under the vegetable bins, then the freezer stopped working. I called the repair service, waited a week for him to show up, then another week for a new compressor. Five weeks later, at Christmas, it was the same thing, except now the freezer and the top portion of the fridge is broken. I called Samsung, only to be told that basically they do not stand behind their products. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher and 2 weeks out of warranty it failed and will not drain. I was told that they are sorry, but because it was purchased 1 year and 2 weeks before the failure, I will have to pay for all repairs. They said that they referred it to a company to have it repaired, but after a week had gone by and making multiple calls, I discovered they provided the repair company with the wrong phone number and email address for me. When I mentioned that I saw online that many people are having the same problem and that the dishwasher is built faulty, they told me that they appreciated my researching the issue, but it is out of warranty and basically, too bad.

Refrigerator freezer freezes up one block of ice. It quits cooling for the second time. The serviceman came out. The whole back of the freezer was one block of ice. He replaced one small part and said it was fine. Now, it didnt last two weeks. It did the same thing. This refrigerator is 11 months old and still under warranty. I called today and was put on hold for an hour. Finally, I was told the serviceman would come out again. I think I got a lemon.

I bought this refrigerator two years ago. Paid almost 4000 for it and its been trouble ever since. First they cant seem to get ice maker to work right so I had to manually defrost monthly. Now for the big issue, this is a dual zone model meaning it has two compressors one for each zone, well the top zone compressor went out. Service man came, ran diagnostics. Sure enough compressor quit. Samsung now says this is a non repairable item. So at this point the fridge is junk. Samsung says they will buy it back but have been dragging their feet on how much they will give me or when this will happen since November 16. They are still seller my the dual zones and not disclosing that if compressor goes out its a throw away. I will never buy Samsung anything again.

I bought the Samsung French door refrigerator from SEARS in May 2014. Bought the extended warranty. The compressor went out Sept 1 2014, lost my food, had out of town visitors, and a technician wouldnt be there for four days. After 4 days, compressor wont be replaced for another week. Sears wouldnt let me return it (policy is 30 days). Said I had to first suffer more than once then they would think about it; however, 5 employees I spoke with earlier told me I had a $250 food replacement and I would be able to return it because it was the compressor. Sears did not replace my food but gave me a $50 allowance for future food for each of the 2 weeks I am without a refrigerator. I had my last refrigerator - NOT a Samsung through SEARS - for 24 years. Not only has the quality of the appliance gone down but the service is horrendous and the training of employees is dishonest.

Already had to replace the microwave once. The dishwasher had a dent when it was unwrapped. Within the first year it needed repair and it needs repairing again. Dont know how it can be energy efficient when the normal cycle takes more than 90 minutes. I wish I had it to do over again. My new appliances would NOT be Samsung.

I bought the Samsung electric range model NE59J7630SG in July 2017 from Home Depot when they had the huge sale with refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. Before, I have been using a different brand electric range for years with no problem. After about 2 months later, I started to see white scratches in the middle of burner. It looked like some liquid residue right underneath the glass top, which I could not get rid of with cleaning. After 3.5 months later, one night, my mom used it before she went to bed, slept, and when we came out the next morning, we saw round shaped broken glasses on the cooktop which soon gave a big long crack across the burner. I called customer service asking for replacement (had 1yr warranty). They sent me a tech to diagnose, then they said they could not replace it because its a physical damage.I requested second opinion, they sent another tech who said he would request for the replacement, didnt hear anything back for 2 weeks. I called the tech and found out Samsung denied it since its a physical damage. The tech said it would cost me $500 just to replace the top after I just spent $750 buying a new one. I have been fighting with Samsung for 2 months now, spoke with 4-5 different managers. Three of them gave me an approval to get it fixed at their cost, but nothing gets done. Every time I call them, I get a different rep at a different location, they cannot connect me to the person I spoke to before. You give them the ticket# with the approval, but doesnt matter. They dont care what the previous manager promised you, you will have to start from the beginning all over again. They are saying its their policy that physical damage is not covered by the warranty, I did something wrong with the range, doesnt admit that its their product defect. I googled to see if people had the same problem as I did, I found people with the same problem!!! Even I found one on this website, this lady her pictures on here and it looked exactly the same as mine and she said one day she heard a loud bang in her kitchen and the crack on her cooktop!! Do not waste your money on Samsung product. Their product is horrible and when there is a problem, good luck with it.

Samsung Refrigerator problems model RF217ACPN. For the last several months my produce bins have been accumulating water and then water below the bins freezes into a sheet of ice. I tried to contact Samsung and they said perhaps I spilled something. I told them that the problem was repetitive and that I did not store water in the refrigerator. They wanted to send out a technician but I asked them to give me some troubleshooting ideas first. They said they didnt have any because they havent had complaints about this. When I log into this site I see that I am not alone in this problem.

My fridge was only just 6 years old purchased in December 2013. It was stored in my shed, switched off, not used from Jan 2018 to Oct 2019 while we renovated. It just stopped working by not getting cold in January 2020 after being back in service for 4 months. I could not get a Samsung service agent to look at it. Finally a fridge mechanic that I found, advised me the fridge has failed to hold the refrigerant gas and even though the compressor was still working fine it cannot be repaired. I called Samsung Australia several l times and also used chat, had to follow up 5 times and despite my case being looked into as it was outside warranty any help or warranty replacement was denied. Reading the ACA website I would class this as a major fault that could not be repaired. Had I have known that there was a chance that a major fault would occur in only 5 years an expensive $2000,00 fridge would be thrown in the rubbish then I would have never purchased this brand. Its possible the pipework with the gas was poor quality material and can breakdown, something that never used to happen. A good quality fridge should last 10-15 years.. It has leaked all the poisonous R5 gas into the ozone layer and my kitchen and Samsung did not care. Samsung only offer a 2 year standard warranty on the new fridge products..So dont expect it to last much longer than that. Good looking fridge to attract you in, but I will never recommend you buy a Samsung fridge. Once bitten twice shy.

RF217ACPN - I have owned this refrigerator for about two years. After a year and a half, I started having ice build up in crisper drawers. Researched problem online and found YouTube video describing the problem and fix. Removed shelves, etc., and panel covering defroster coil. I found the coil covered in ice and the drain clogged shut with ice. Followed video by replacing defroster thermistor sensor and using hot water to de-ice drain. I have now gone through the hot water treatment three times, also relocated (slightly) the sensor, but problem keeps reappearing on a less than two-week cycle. I own two of Samsung TVs and a computer monitor manufactured by them. I love them and have no complaints, but the refrigerator design really sucks along with their support. Will never buy a refrigerator from them again. LG??? Same boat??? Korean made.

On Apr 2013, we moved to a new house and bought Samsung RF261BEAESR. Thought it is brand name, the quality is good except one screw on the handle always loose, everything was ok. About earlier last year (2014), when I pulled out the deli tray, realized ice build up under deli tray. I cleaned it and thought maybe because it is too cold, did not really pay attention. About few month later, I did cleaning again. This time I found a lot of water under deli tray, I still did not realized it is quality problem. Then few days ago when I started cleaning, I cleaned out about 1 gallon of water from bottom of deli tray. Then I called customer service, they said I already passed 1 year guarantee, they cannot do anything. I told them this happened just few months after I punched, because it already builded up ice. If I did not pull out deli tray, I wont never find water leaking. The customer service just gave me a phone number to call, told me cost at least $399 plus tax. Then later I called back again, same answer. I ask if I can talk to manager, she said she is manager assistant. Help customer service, gave me the same phone number. I told her I cannot believe Samsung has poor quality, before I bought $400 refrigerator, never had any problem. I spend over $1600 on their product, just few months later, already found water leaking. This is unreasonable. I will never buy any Samsung appliance anymore.

I purchased a brand new refrigerator from Lowes September of 2016. A couple weeks later the ice machine stopped giving ice. I called Samsung and first they told me to reset the ice machine and wait 24 hours. I did that and that didnt work. So I called back and they told me that my 1 year warranty was over and I would have to pay them for service. I DONT KNOW HOW A 1 YEAR WARRANTY CAN EXPIRE IN TWO MONTHS. It is December of 2016 that I am typing this review and I barely purchased my refrigerator in September of 2016. Either Samsung doesnt know how to count or the employees are high on drugs. This is so wrong. So I had to send my receipt to EFAX@sea.samsung.com and wait 24 to 48 hours. Well after a week of waiting I called back and they said that they never received my email. They are just trying to kill time for the warranty to really expire. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG!!!

Problem: Water dispenser began leaking immediately upon installation. Purged system of air but leak continued. Then within a week or so of use, the water dispenser began making a vibrating noise. The noise was in the area where the water line leads into the back of the refrigerator. Solution: After repair service made three attempts, one by replacing the water valve. This eliminated the vibrating noise for a day. The vibrating noise was continuous. The third service call was removing the water filter. There was no vibration or leaking when the filter was not in the refrigerator. The service repairman suggested leaving the filter out for a day then install a new filter. We installed a new filter the next day. It worked. We have been leak free and noise free for several days. So, if you have either of these problems or both, I suggest you remove the filter and install a new one before calling service. By the way, our service company informed us we would be getting a new filter from Samsung since the 6-month period had not been up on the filter.

As many of us do I bought my Samsung four door refrigerator on sale at Lowes. I paid $1,800 for a nearly $3,500 unit. I thought I was getting an awesome deal. Then the ice maker started acting up and I had to have it repaired about every 3 months until they deemed the unit defective but the repairman had told me several occasions that he come that he had prepared multitude of the exact same problem the ice maker in that exact same unit. So I tell Samsung that I really dont want to get the same unit and they you know I had been originally told that repair place it was something better. Better means more valuable and or a newer model or the exact same thing one. Now Im being told that I have to take the $1,800 that I paid for it which I cant replace it for because its not on sale right now and pretty much eat it even though I just bought two other matching Samsung appliances. I am pretty furious and I hope that this gets resolved.

We purchased a Samsung stove/oven 4 years ago. After 2 years the oven would not heat to the desired temperature (Took 2 hours to get to 400 or more, if it even did). Had a very hard time getting anyone to even work on a Samsung appliance. Finally found a very reputable repairman in the area willing to repair it and he told us this is an ongoing issue with them. Faulty igniter that goes out. He fixed it - $250... (no guarantees - saying it could work 2 days, 2 weeks, 2 years?). It lasted 2 years. I am done. Went and bought a recommended Whirlpool. Samsung has very good electronics (I have had my Samsung Edge for 6 years, DVR for 8 years), but terrible appliances. Dont buy any Samsung appliances!!! I have nothing to gain by writing this review. I never have before, but I am so disappointed and upset by the waste of $!!!

I purchased the Samsung dishwasher model #dw80f600its in March 2014 with a one year warranty from Samsung and a 2 year extended warranty from hhgregg. Within the first year Samsung had to come out twice, both times there was a water code error. After that, I had to contact hhgregg for another water code error. They have come out twice for the same problem. Each time the service tech had replaced a sensor on the unit along with a tank on the side of the unit. Now, I still have 3 months left on the 2 year extended warranty. Surprise, I have the same error again. This time hhgregg says that they are no longer responsible for this dishwasher, the cost of repairs had exceeded the retail cost of the unit. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung dishwasher and it certainly will NOT be from hhgregg. What is point of an extended warranty if they wont honor it?

Purchased this dishwasher in Sept 2013 while building a house. It was installed in April 2014. In August I noticed that it was not draining and periodically the lights blinked when trying to run it and I couldnt make the choice I wanted. The Smart Auto or Delicate cycle. Also my dishes were not clean or dry. I finally called Samsung in October and was told it was out of warranty because of my purchase date but if I could prove when it was installed they would provide service. Instead I called Home Depot where I purchased it and they replaced it for me because Samsung is hard to deal with. Wonderful! In February problems started again only this time the machine would turn on by itself. And again I had dirty dishes and it wouldnt drain. Samsung arranged service this time. Service tech told me not to use a rinse agent because it makes the sensors sticky and that is why it wont drain properly. But, he didnt believe me when I said it would start by itself. It starts an hour after doing dishes and even in the middle of the night. I have it on video. Apparently we are crazy people. DO NOT EVER BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT!!! Samsung customer service is polite, contrite, and totally inept. I have now called 6 times to try to get burner caps (the little metal discs that go on top of the gas burner that make it work). The stove was delivered without them. The first time I called, the representative was so sorry and would send the missing parts in 2-3 weeks (!?). Meanwhile, I dont have a stove that works. I received the package after a couple of weeks and it contained 2 microwave or oven vent grates. So I called again. Representative was so sorry and would send the correct parts out in overnight express. I got the package, and it was 2 of the actual gas burners (which I already had) and the 2 larger burner caps.So now I have 2 burners that work, and 2 vent grates I dont need, and 2 gas burners that I dont need. So. I called again. Same thing. So sorry, send those right out. Never got anything. I called again. And again. And again. Seriously. Everytime I get an apology and a promise and then nothing arrives. Soap dispenser would not open, etc. Circuit board replaced. Samsung refused to replace this lemon. Now as we come to the end of the second year, problems once again. Error code for leakage. There is no leak, and dishwasher will not operate. It just continues to run the pump. Samsung will no longer fix, claiming it is now out of warranty. The dishwasher lasted less than two years. Unfortunately I used my Lowes credit card, I understand if I would have used VISA, MASTERCARD, etc. they may have automatically covered up to an additional year. I will never buy another Samsung dishwasher! This dishwasher is unreliable and Samsung customer service does not stand behind this product.

We purchased a new Samsung refrigerator in July, 2015 and immediately noticed loud popping and cracking noises. I contacted Samsung and was told this was normal due to our purchase of a model with automatic defrost. (Is there a manufacturer that still makes a manual defrost refrigerator?) No help here, so later I began a Live Chat on Samsungs website to again register my complaint. I was eventually given a link to request a service technician to come and examine the refrigerator. The link failed and I lost all contact with the rep. I then called the service request department and had a long conversation with a nice lady that again confirmed that the noise was normal. I donated a 20 year old Whirlpool that I wish I could get back and dump this Samsung. Never will I ever consider buying any other Samsung product.

The icemaker is defective, per the technician that indicates this is a known issue and not a recall, but basically the water spatters as it fills the ice maker, causing frost to build up, and eventually freezing the fan. This leads to melting of the ice and re-freezing and more frost and eventually locks up the entire ice maker. In some cases the ice builds up so quickly that you cant get the ice drawer out. This is not a gasket or seal issue. The issue is caused by a poorly designed water filling process that eventually fails, so if you want to piss away $2800 buy this RF23J9011SR piece of junk.

No satisfaction from Samsung. Oven Clicks when Baking. Says it’s normal. Okay, I can live with that being normal for the way their electrical system is built but my issue is because I have never known in my lifetime that an oven clicks (loudly) while being on. This is not normal for the most customers, so I feel I should have been told about this before purchasing so I could make the decision of whether this would be my new normal while baking. The clicking noise should have also been described by the sales person as a LOUD OBNOXIOUS CLICKING NOISE. I am still working with Samsung to get resolved. I want a full refund. Till you hear they have resolved this issue through consumer reports or updates, DON’T BUY THIS OVEN!

I purchased this horrible Samsung refrigerator Model RF263BEABC from a local appliance company on 9/12/16. The sales person was really pushing the Samsung as being the greatest of all brands made. LOL. Then it started making a horrible loud gun-like popping/cracking noises at different times of the day. The popping is so loud it would wake me up at night and my sister said it sounded scary. I called the place I purchased and was told to call Samsung and it was not their problem. So I called and was told it was a normal sound from the temperature in the house adjusting with the refrigerator? It still has not gotten any better so called them back and was told it would get better after the unit gets older? Today I called back to Samsung and informed the of a so called recall notice was sent out secretly in 9/16 to appliance techs about the popping noises and that they need to call for the parts to repair it. Well the man told me that was not true and no such recall was issued. This POS refrigerator was made in MEXICO. Beware of Samsung products. They are of poor quality and they are bunch of LIARS.

After paying for months for a new refrigerator, which was over $2,500, which is a lot of money to me, after about a year, it started making a noise. I called Samsung for them to tell me that a service tech would come out, but that was not covered under warranty and I did not buy the extended warranty. Well, after I spent that much money, I didnt think I needed to spend additional amount for an extended warranty. Was I wrong? Another $300 for some 18-year-old kid to just switch out a motor. Here we are 11 months later with the same problem, mainly because the first technician didnt fix it right the first time. It constantly freezes up, and water is under the vegetables bins. What a lemon. People, do your homework and never buy a Samsung refrigerator! This one had the ice and water on the outside and the French doors. I was really upgrading, and I had to make payments. Samsung couldn’t care less!

UPDATED: 3/31/2021: I purchased a condo 8/8/2020 in Pasadena that had been remodeled by the seller with brand new Samsung appliances all purchased 1/30/20. Delivered 2/01/2020. I called Samsung warranty Nov and Dec 2020 about the ice maker making horrible noises. They told me I was under warranty and that the ice maker had been recalled for RF24R7201SR/AA, payment of 1979.99 from Best Buy with receipts in hand. It took Samsung three service visits, months later to not be able to remedy the extreme noises while replacing the entire ice dispenser. They then informed me that now I was out of warranty and they would only offer me 1800.00 and for me to remove my warranty sticker to send to them. They informed me that Best Buy would now not swap the unit out because I was a few months off warranty but I was under warranty when I called and it was first serviced with this issue. I then reached a gentleman at Samsung March 25th at 10:05 am, call was recorded, and I was told that they changed their minds and that they have these refrigerators on hand through Samsung despite Best Buy not being able to help me. I asked him if he was sure because the previous calls insisted on sending me money for a devalued amount at 1800.00. He assured me that the call was sincere. I then called back 3/29/2020 and of course was told that that deal didnt exist for me and again only to take the 1800.00 offer. Calling them is like calling another planet of incompetent employees who hardly speak English at all and have no clue whats really going on. It is the worst company that I have ever dealt with in my life and my whole home is filled with Samsung appliances. Soon to be replaced with LGs when these stop working because Samsung has horrible customer service and treat their high paying clients like garbage.ORIGINAL REVIEW: The worst experience ever! Calling Samsung’s 800 number for warranty issues is like calling another planet of people so unqualified and unhelpful. I purchased a 2500 refrigerator 1/2020. Delivered by Best Buy in 2/12/2020 and the ice maker was making horrible sounds 9/2020, 10/2020, 11/2020. I called while it was under warranty and they promised I caught it in time. After they attempted to resolve the issue and couldn’t we entered into 2021 year and they changed their minds telling me they could no longer swap it out with Best Buy because it was out of the year 2020 timeframe. Despite telling me while I called in 2020 that I was protected as long as I presented the purchased receipts that I did! They are only offering me a low prorated amount of 1800 and to remove the warranty sticker. That’s just insane customer service when my whole home has Samsung products. I can’t even believe this company and I will never buy another Samsung again.

I purchased a fridge about 2 years ago and when the handle broke, the parts department advised me that the piece was discontinued and that nothing could be done to replace this. In sum, have a fridge for which I cant use the handle to open the freezer drawer. Lovely. The lifespan of their products is under 5 years. Amazing. Then 3 months ago, my husband purchases a dishwasher and guess what it works for a whole 2 days then breaks down. 3 months later, still washing dishes by hand and countless service visits with the incorrect parts ordered and still waiting. Called the executive department directly at Samsung just to learn that nothing can be done and basically I need to wait to hopefully receive the correct part and eventually be able to use my dishwasher. The worst service ever. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG. It will eventual break down within 5 yrs or less of normal usage.

My Samsung dishwasher DMT300 was purchased in 2011. It broke. Heating sensor needs to be replaced. It costs me $245.00! I purchased this along with a Samsung refrigerator and that broke as well in less than 6 MONTHS! Samsung tech arrived and fix it. Thank God it was still under warranty! I had a Maytag dishwasher that was once repaired due to wear and tear but it lasted 12 1/2 years! I called Samsung at 1 800 726 7864 and they will not pay for anything since it is no longer under warranty. Even the repair technician advised me not to purchased Samsung appliances. We are on a fixed income. We trusted that Samsung brand will last at least 7-10 years! It is very upsetting to invest your money at something worthless! I will never ever purchase a Samsung product!

We bought our refrigerator about 4 yrs. ago, and have had nothing but problems from day one. The ice machine broke twice. The refrigerator froze up and filled with ice in the back, and had to be serviced. The water dispenser broke. The fridge fan broke. Now the freezer is out. It was under warranty at first, so all the repairs were taken care of. However, now the warranty has expired, and I couldnt get the company to extend it. So, we are having to pay for this stuff. Searching the internet has shown that my problems are not unique to us. It is a problem others have had, and there is a lawsuit going on. How disgusted that makes us. Samsung customer service reps are clueless, and of no help. I will not buy anything from Samsung again. Too bad they charge an arm and a leg for theyre junk!

Just last week, the microwave stopped working at all. We (unfortunately) have a Samsung washer and dryer, which has been serviced three times and we are about ready to replace it... Its three years old. We also have a Samsung refrigerator that has been serviced once and a glass-top stove, all purchased around the same time and all with issues! I cant believe how much money we have wasted on this company. They may make good TVs but they need to get out of the appliance business!!!

This Samsung twin cooling plus is the worst refrigerator ever! Every 5-6 months you have to shut down and defrost it, it freezes up like the refrigerators did back in the 50s! You have to take the whole back of the refrigerator apart to get the coil to defrost which is about 8-10hrs of defrosting! I would never recommend spending 1800.00 for this piece of garbage! We bought a Samsung dishwasher model DMR78 in October 2010. We selected a Samsung model that was fairly expensive thinking that it would be more reliable and would last longer than conventional models. That was a mistake. After about 2 years it started to make a grinding noise. Since Samsung had no local service center we had to call an independent repair company. The diagnostic was that all the plastic brackets supporting the dishes trays were broken and little loose parts blocked the drain pump. We had to replace the pump. The repair cost was 258$. A year after we had again a grinding noise and we had to call for service again. This time the problem could not be located as it just suddenly disappear after being checked by the service men.About 6 months after we started having error codes #9E. This indicate a clogged level switch that I was able to fix myself by using instructions found on Youtube. It still means that I have to pull out the dishwasher and open it to fix it. This repair takes about 2 hours. That code started showing up again after 6 months and we are seriously thinking to replace the dishwasher after less than 5 years of usage! I would definitely not recommend buying a Samsung dishwasher.

Purchased all new kitchen appliances with the microwave being one of the Samsung products. The original one we ordered they had to swap out with another unit due to they could not sell the original anymore. We were having multiple error codes, and they sent a service Contractor out under a warranty call, and they assumed it was the motherboard, which they replaced. Well that didnt work, in fact it was worse. Called for them to come out and repair it under the warranty. Seeing the 1st time did not work, so they sent out a service Contractor who replaced the door. In fact it was even worse with the microwave shutting down when cooking and still having error codes. Called Samsung backed and had to argue with them to send someone out to fix the microwave due to it was still not repaired from original warranty so called repair. They agreed after talking to a supervisor and they sent a service Contractor out, where he looked on a website and it showed an issue with the fan. They replaced the fan, but a week later the unit was still having the same problems with the same error codes and an additional new error code. Called Samsung again and they were going to do an accommodation, which in essence is an exchange. I had to send copies of the purchases that Lowes sent me, and waited for answers as usual, so I called back and said that because it was out of warranty they werent going to do an accommodation. Because they didnt fix the microwave from the initial warranty repair, and the delay game, and do not stand behind the product, I am stuck with a defective unit. I would stay away from Samsung kitchen appliances, and glad we didnt purchase all of our appliances with Samsung.

The gentlemen discovered the defected blade and was quite surprised being that it was only two months old. He suspected a manufacturers defect and he ordered the part, but it would take several days. In the meantime, we had lost the food in the freezer and refrigerator. I then called Samsungs customer service and explained everything as it happened. RS265TDRS - We have been monitoring the refrig temp for a week because the liquids seemed cool but not cold when the temp was set at 38 D.F. and the display monitoring inside temp when you open the refrigerator door always read 38 D.F. Lowered the temp to 34 D.F. And monitored the refrig for two days. The display always says 34 D.F. on the outside when you open door but the thermometers we put inside have been well above 44 D.F. for two days and as high as 48 D.F. Thermometers placed in a full glass of water inside the refrigerator overnight indicate a temp of 45 D.F. Temp of tomato sauce in frig also above 45 D.F. Putting same 2 thermometers in freezer set at -4d.F. indicates a temp of -3 or - 4 D.F. We are waiting for service and the temperature is now well above 50 D.F. and yet the display that shows the supposed temp in the refrigerator says 36 D.F. when you open the door which is what the temp is set at. The safety issue is not only there is a design defect that causes the coils in the refrigerator to freeze up but the sensor that lets consumers know what the temp in the box is sending false and misleading temp readings allowing people to think their food is at a safe temp when in fact it is not. Still waiting for service and now the refrigerator is at 60 D.F. and the display is reading 38 D.F. when you open the door. This may go on for days, weeks and even months for some consumers before they realize that they have been eating spoiled food. Samsung needs to acknowledge design flaws that allow the digital temp display to show normal safe temperatures yet in the refrigerator temperatures are 10-15 degrees f. higher. There are many consumers who have been ripped off and played Russian roulette with food, health and safety because the refrigerator coil freezes, the fan stops working and the air temps in the refrigerator rise unknowingly to the consumer. If you own a Samsung refrigerator you may have been eating spoiled food for weeks, months or forever if you are not aware of this problem. Calling for everyone on the www to let Samsung know that their negligence in this matter will not be tolerated and consumers will get justice, satisfaction and restitution for the full purchase price including removal and destruction and recycling of all the defective Samsung refrigerators.

As others have noted the refrigerator by Samsung has been a problem since day one. Water and ice accumulates in the vegetable bin area. The water storage vessel located on the back wall freezes and has ruptured on several occasions, requiring replacement. The defrost heater shorts out and is not operational, numerous issues with the main control board and the reprogrammed and updated replacements, poor design and engineering requiring design modifications in the field, water and ice systems freeze up, do not work and do not dispense. Overall, Samsung service is unresponsive and basically not knowledgeable. Their design and engineering groups dont have a clue. Most recent repair included the installation of new and upgraded main panel which was to resolve all the problems. Issue is that after the installation of three separate new and improved and reprogrammed panels only some of the issues were addressed and the reprogramming actually caused other problems. The original main board panel that came with my refrigerator is long gone, no longer manufactured. The replacement panel has a new set of issues including that other basic functions were not programmed into the new main panel design. So for example, for the refrigerator and freezer to operate I have lost several functions such as the light in the freezer compartment. This item for example was never programmed into the newest control panel. I was told this directly from the tech rep at Samsung and the repair folks. Keep in mind my French door refrigerator that cost over two thousand dollars and is less than four years old is a mush mash of parts and accessories. The main panel has been replaced several times and three separate panels were required to be able, installed this time just to get to a point that the refrigerator functioned and the defrost heater assembly had voltage to operate. Keep in mind that I now have a refrigerator that have systems that cannot function because the main board was not properly programmed and Samsung does not seem to care. They wont even return a phone call and customer service is a joke. One more thing. I was with the service person the entire time that my refrigerator was being worked on. If I ever hear one more time the senior service technician from Samsung tell the onsite servicing rep let me tell you off the record what you should do I will scream!! The senior service tech at Samsung confirmed that there was a serious issue with the freezing and rupturing of the water vessels on the interior rear wall of the refrigerator compartment. He indicated that Samsung has failed to address this issue with a repair or service bull item as it would basically acknowledge that there indeed is a design and operational flaw in the unit. Off the record, the onsite rep was told to go out and get a thin piece of closed cell foam and place it between the water vessel and rear wall of the refrigerator compartment as some other site repair folks have found that to be the resolution to the vessel freezing and rupturing issue.” Well I will close out my comments for now, but will likely be writing again as the refrigerator has problem after problem and Samsung is unable to effectively resolve the issues. By the way, since my refrigerator, which is less than four years old is out of warranty, and I have had to pay for all the repairs myself, the cost to date now exceeds the original cost of the unit. The unit was about $2,300.00 and with the latest partial fix adding another $420,00, I am into this great product to the tune of over $4,800.00. No help from Samsung here!! Looking for a new refrigerator now and certainly would like to see Samsung step up and make this right and cut me a refund check for the $4,800.00 I have invested so far. Maybe they should also take into account the spoiled food and inconvenience to my family while they are at it. Dont Buy Samsung Products!!

I bought my Samsung Dishwasher in 2011. When we had owned it only 13 months (only used 7 months as I stored it until kitchen renovation was complete) my Samsung dishwasher DMT800 broke down the first time. Had to wait a week before I could get anyone to work on it. The plastic tabs on the top rack had broken and fallen into the bottom and the washer arm would not spin. Technician ordered new brackets and installed them, cost $200. Same thing happened with new plastic part. I had my husband take the whole thing apart and clear out the brackets the next time. Now the top arm of the dishwasher will not work nor will the detergent dispenser dump the detergent. Loved my old KitchenAid dishwasher. It was still working perfectly when I gave it away to install matching Samsung appliances. Will never buy Samsung again. Hope you see this before you buy Samsung. Beware.

Had an error code SE on my (almost) 4 year old microwave. After reading about all the issues about this with other Samsung microwave that the code pertains to a bad touch pad, I decided to contact Samsung and see if they take responsibility for this. I contacted Samsung this morning and after less than 10 mins, an appointment was made to have a technician come out to my home and replace the pad under Samsung extended warranty on the pad. The only thing Samsung noted to me is that if its not the pad, I would have to pay for the cost of any repairs. I keep my fingers crossed that an honest technician will come out to do this repair. So, bottom line is that Samsung realizes that there is a problem with these pads with this SE error code and extended the warranty to have them replaced.

As I tell all of my friends, stay away from Samsung appliances. They may make good phones but they should stick to just that! We bought a Samsung french door, freezer on the bottom refrigerator 4 years ago. The ice maker started freezing up and not working 6 months after we bought it. At times it makes so much noise it wakes us up. Now a new problem... the fridge just stops cooling even though the freezer is still working. Its an on again off again problem leaving us never knowing when our food might go bad. Yesterday it stopped working for hours so I ordered a Whirlpool (which I shouldnt have to replace a rather expensive 4 year old fridge) online from Lowes. Then about 10 pm it just started working again. I called a repairman only to find out that, between diagnostic and the fix, someone would have to be here about 2 to 3 hours. My husband and I are both high risk if we get Corona so I really dont want someone in my home. Now I dont know whether to trust it or go ahead and spend another $2000 (were on social security and cant really afford it) or just hope and pray that we dont get sick from eating spoiled food if it goes out and comes back on while we are sleeping. From what I see on this forum Samsung, you have caused so much stress and anxiety with your defective products, not to mention possible illness. You should (but Im sure youre not) be ashamed!

When you spend over $3,000.00 on a top of the line refrigerator, you have certain expectations. We bought a Samsung French Door Refrigerator about a year ago. Model RF31FMESBBSR/AA. Do not waste your money on this refrigerator. I spent two days searching and comparing. I wish I had instead spent 2 minutes on this site. Ice Master is what they call the ice maker. Now, ice maker freezes and stops working about every other week. I have to melt the ice with a hair dryer to get it going again. Also - door bins started breaking after 3 months. All but one are now broken. They tried to make these pretty, instead of functional. 3 pieces - plexiglass, plastic, and a metal band that holds the plexiglass in place. Once the cheap/thin plexi cracks and breaks, the band falls off. Warranty procedure is an absolute joke. Stay away from Samsung. It looks way better than it works.

Samsung Model RF260BEAESR/AA - Loud cracking noise from the fridge. The noise happens all throughout the day and night. Samsung was aware of the problem according to the Totem Appliance technician. A new evaporator plate was installed. This did not solve the problem. Samsung technicians claim that this loud cracking sound is normal. It is so noisy that we are awaken from our sleep each night. How can the technicians claim that this is a normal sound when they have never heard my refrigerator. Customer service has been extremely bad. I have spent hours and hours trying to talk to customer service which has gotten me nowhere. Samsung does not back up their warranty.

Bought a French door with middle divided door model 3 months ago. It stopped freezing and cooling but digital display indicated temp ok. After discovering food in freezer thawed and no ice, had to discard contents. Samsung sent repair man and he replaced parts and left. It was not fixed. Called back for second visit for repair and did not have needed parts. Came back 3rd time and replaced motherboard on January 20th. 3 weeks later, same problem. Discard food, called Samsung and insisted on replacement and was told technician would come out and deem it unrepairable. I agreed but said will not allow another repair. Tech came out with more parts to fix it. I refused repair, just asked him to determine that the same issue had occurred. That was yesterday. Today on multiple calls with Samsung customer support and was told it would have to be fixed again, refused to replace this obviously defective unit. I am looking for a solution, but dont think it will come from Samsung. Contacted Lowes where I purchased it and was told it would have to go through manufacturer (Samsung). what ever happened to backing up your products? Never, ever will I buy ANY SAMSUNG product again. We are out over $2000 for the refrigerator, approx. $500 in groceries, and several hours of lost wages. Sears... Here I come. Kenmore seems to be the way to go. Lesson learned. Buyer beware!

None of the appliances that Samsung make are any good. Be warned that with the dishwasher all the tabs holding up the shelves break off and they fall into the garbage disposal and they just grind and grind. My Samsung microwaves door broke after only a few months, but then the magnetron also failed. The legs on my Samsung stove bent as I was pushing the stove back against the wall during installation. Everything is made poorly and will not stand up. I should have stuck with Whirlpool products.

Samsung Model RF32FMQDBSR/AA. I purchased the Samsung 4 door refrigerator around 8 months ago. I follow all the instructions regarding the ice maker when I went on vacation. When I got back home again I check my owners manual and follow the instructions with the ice maker. After 24 hours there was no ice make yet. I check the manual again to make sure I did everything I was supposed to do. Once again I waiting and no Ice. After giving it a week and having the Ice maker not making any Ice, I contact Samsung. The lady at the phone ask me for the model number, my phone, and located the account then she proceed to asked me what was the issue. I explained it to her that the Ice maker was not working that I try everything in the manual but it did not work. I also explain that I follow the instructions to removed the Ice bucket, however the bucket wasnt coming out, at all. She ask me some questions about if the Ice light was lit up on the door and if said off the Ice maker wasnt going to make ice. No kidding Sherlock. Im not a moron. I calmly explain to her that after a week of not having Ice I turn it off. No sense on having the feature on if is not working. She then advised me that if it was something they cant fix by phone but they needed to send a repair person then I was going to get charge for the visit. But if the repair person was needed then the visit was free of charge. I was told that a service representative was going to called me within 2 business days. She proceed to gave me the service number reference that I needed to gave the tech (**). As she told me I received a call from the service tech to schedule the appointment. However the service tech was from Oklahoma and Im in Pennsylvania. The tech was sorry for the misunderstanding, it wasnt his fault. I contacted Samsung again and I explain to the male representative the issue with the address and I gave him my reference number. The gentlemen proceed to tell me that my refrigerator didnt have warranty. Wait what happens in 3 days? I explained that it when I spoke with the lady that gave me the reference number my refrigerator had warranty. Well Im not one to argue with customer service representative since they are provided a script on what to said. I told him Just give me the tech number please. He did gave me a service representative from Reading PA. I called them to schedule an appointment and when I gave the lady who answer the phone the reference number. She proceed to tell me I needed to provide for them the receipt of purchased, that the visit was going to be $70 plus labor and parts. I again, didnt want to argue another customer service representative. I make the schedule, however after thinking about it I cancel it. Who knows what they are going to charge me. What happen to the warranty? This refrigerator is Top Samsung Product with a cost of almost 4,000 dollars. If Im going to paid Im choosing who I let in my house. I have Samsung products all over my house since I believed to stick with one company, washer, dryer, phone, microwave on and on and on. I have never contacted Samsung for service. The first time that I need service They give me a hard time, thats not good customer service. Since Im selling my house and moving out of state soon, instead of paying a repair person I will sell ALL my Samsung electronic and start new with another company. Before you spend that much money on a Samsung product make sure they are not going to give you the runaround.

I had a problem to open the buttom drawer of the freezer section of my new refrigerator from the beginning and went back to Sears and was told to lift the drawer up more, that did not help. After month and months of trying to open that drawer I finally ripped it out and actually injured my hand. I then called the SAMSUNG company and they told me they will send somebody they work with in Valrico, Florida. I asked them if they do not have somebody familiar with this type of fridge problem closer to my home in Bradenton, Florida and I was told NO. A repairman came, unscrewed and screwed back again the FREEZER COVER DART SEAL and also told methat the digital display should be replaced. (The digital display is fine, except on the zero degree 0 there is a small piece not lit up). I removed a big amount of ice under the buttom drawer and the repair man a small part. BUT, my problem is NOT taken care of, I still cannot open the buttom drawer and ice on the back is still accumulating and for that service which did not accomplish anything I had to pay $90.I sent an e-mail to Samsung but I am still waiting to hear from them again...I will today try to call them again but I seem to get somebody overseas on the phone and they are just telling me that my warranty has run out although when I bought the refrigerator I was told I have a 5 year warranty on the appliance.

Updated on 08/02/2018: It has continually built up of ice, under the ice maker every 5/6 weeks. Have notice partially melted ice in the storage bucket, in which it jams the ice dispenser. Either I use a hair dryer to defrost or chip the sheet of ice off the ice maker. To free the ice out of the ice maker bucket I run warm water through it. Have updated the motherboard, and replaced the ice maker twice. With one new revision, that has a physical square rectangle water intake housing. None of these parts fixed my problems!Original review: I have a Samsung Refrigerator model RF263BEAESRAA purchased on 6/13. Ice seems to build up on bottom of ice maker & also around ice dispenser rod to the point in which itll freeze solid & will no longer dispense ice. Every week Im having to dump out semi-melted ice out of the ice jammed dispenser & ice thats build up thats located under the ice maker. Having replaced ice maker, motherboard, auger motor & fan assembly. Its still doing the same thing as far as ice building up.

I bought a Samsung Range NE59J3420SS/AA from Sears November 23, 2015 the day before Thanksgiving. Since then I have had problems with the product. First the discoloration of the cooktop is awful. I called Samsung and was told that was normal and that the range was fine. Well the steam cleaning feature will not work and I called Sears. They refused to fix it nor service it - 1800-726-7864. They had a more hands off and referred me to 1800-726-7864. The CSR that I spoke with implied that I was unintelligent and could not read, and I could not follow simple directions. I told her that I followed the directions given in the manual and that I wanted a technician and to speak to her supervisor. Well he got on the line and hung up on me.I ended up going online to get a service call done and a ticket # and also be informed that the service call will cost me for the tech to come out. Currently I was purchasing a new refrigerator from Conns. I will calling in a few minutes and putting that on hold and changing that product. I also have a lot of Samsung products in my home - washer, dryer, televisions, and three cell phones and I am dreading if something else breaks. IF you are considering any appliances from Samsung I am telling you their service department is awful, rude, obnoxious and callous. Beware of the products you purchase from them be sure that the merchant tells you about the warranty and if they offer additional in house warranty seems to me the best bet.

This is my second horrible review of Samsung Refrigerators. I purchased a new side by side Samsung Refrigerator one year ago after having an old 28 year old GE Refrigerator that gave me no problems whatsoever. I purchased a 4 year warranty (what a waste of money). So the last time I complained about the scratches on the part where you fill your glass with water and ice and Samsung said that is cosmetic and nothing can be done. I suppose you should be using paper cups to fill your water instead of glass. The refrigerator already looks like it is about 20 years old. This time the large shelf in the middle of the refrigerator cracked for no apparent reason. I contacted Samsung and they again told me that this is not covered (what a surprise). I will never buy anything that has a Samsung name attached to it!!!

I purchased my home 1 1/2 years ago and my home came with a brand new Samsung fridge, range and dishwasher. My dishwasher has already been serviced 3 times and it still stops working sometimes and has a flashing light that will blink to indicate a malfunction. My range worked fine until a week ago when we heard a very loud pop and the range completely shut down. We spoke with Samsung and they will not do anything about it. If you want to spend thousands on an appliance that will not last more than 2-3 years, Samsung appliances are for you. I am very surprised that a company as successful as Samsung has not recalled these potentially hazardous and outright disastrous products. One can assume, based on their lack of taking care of these problems, that within 3 years Samsung will no longer be selling appliances. I am extremely disappointed with this company and their products. Buyer Beware.

I bought a suite a Samsung appliances 13 months ago. These were middle-of-the-road appliances costing around $4000 for a suite of 4 appliances. During the first 12 months of ownership, the refrigerator broke 4 times and the dishwasher broke 4 times. The appliances were warrantied for 1 year. Dealing with Samsung on the phone was outlandishly bad. I spent over 12 overs on the phone over the course of 3 days getting the last repair order for both refrigerator and dishwasher straight! 12 hours!!! I asked to be compensated for my time as that was completely unreasonable. 2 managers assured me Id be emailed a form to submit, neither sent the form. At this moment, my dishwasher is again broken. The tub has cracked and is leaking. Again, my appliances are now 13 months old! Ive never dealt with a company like this, and find the quality of their products absolutely abysmal. One year after purchase, just after the warranty period finished, we found water freezing under and in the vegetable drawers. A month later we realized the paint was peeling off the handles. Searches online indicated other customers with the water problem had multiple service calls with no solution. Thinking that perhaps Samsung had found the solution since those calls happened, I tried contacting them. Since I had read of the same problem and the cause, I defrosted my fridge and was able to describe to Samsung exactly what was happening... but they wanted to send a service tech and charge me for the visit. I did not want to go through the useless repairs that other customers have gone through with no guarantee on their repairs, so we have not had a repairman. Every two or three months we defrost the fridge. Now the handles are looking awful and I dont know if they can do anything other than replace them with handles that have the same defect. I purchased Samsung French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator in November 2016 and had problems with the freezer drawer almost immediately. The drawer would not open completely unless you tugged on it multiple times so I contacted Samsung and was summarily dismissed by the first person with whom I came in contact. I was told by this person that the drawer only opens a few inches and that I would basically have to live with the situation. The second person I called tried to get me to be the service technician and suggested numerous things that I could do to try and remedy the problem. I told him that I did not have the time nor the inclination to play service technician and that since the unit was new I expected Samsung to send a technician to take care of the issue. They sent someone from Service Quick who decided the drawer gasket was bad and it was allowing air into the freezer causing frost to build up on the rails thus preventing the drawer from opening completely. The gasket was replaced and the next day the drawer was just as bad as it had been prior to the service call. I made another call to Samsung and the second time two technicians arrived and they decided the rails were bad and replaced both rails. The following day the drawer was even worse than before and it was difficult to open and close. The third and final service call two technicians arrived and one tested the gasket for air leaks and the other used a steamer on just one of the rails (why only one I do not know). These idiots told me there were no air leaks but I needed to wipe the door gasket off at least once or twice a week! Finally I contacted Samsung again and they wanted to send another technician from another company to assess the situation and I refused. I told them that since the refrigerator was new and they could not resolve the issue after three tries I wanted them to consider another way to resolve the matter. Samsung decided they would refund my money, however it has been two weeks since I provided them with the information they requested in order to process the refund and I have yet to get a response to my e-mail inquiring about the status of the matter. I decided to call the Samsung refund and exchanges department and was placed on hold for 45 minutes. While I was on hold 6 PM rolled around and due to the fact that department closes at 6 PM a recorded message came on and said they could not take my call and that I should call back during regular business hours. We have many Samsung products in our household and, fortunately have never needed service on any of them, until the refrigerator. Now I have experienced the abysmal service from Samsung I will never recommend nor will I ever purchase another Samsung product! Samsung cares nothing about the customer as evidenced by the dismal service they provide. My recommendation is to boycott Samsung and buy products from companies that will service what they sell and respond to the customer in a timely and efficient manner!

When we call customer service, they have either lost what they said they had the day before or today, they need a 7000 number, a request that has not been made in the previous three weeks. Every day they say they will have an answer in 24 to 48 hours. That answer never comes. We have a B&B so have lost business. Avoid Samsung at all costs. There is no reasonable response to consumers.

This is a Japanese product that is beautiful in looks and style. However, if you need any service, the vendors are few and far between. If a handle loses a screw, they will tell you the whole door needs to be replaced which will cost hundreds of dollars. When you call the Samsung customer service, they will refer the same Japanese repair company and promise to call you back with another repair company (which they never do) when you tell them that company is an unethical company. Also the ice maker freezes up & stops working a lot.

2 1/2 years ago we bought all new appliances and unfortunately they are all junk! In 1 year and a day the microwave quit working. The circuit board quit working. Had to have that fixed. The day after Xmas our dryer quit heating! Another repair bill! We were without a dryer for 3 weeks! Today our icemaker quit! It does not make ice nor can we get the icebox off! Now we will have another repair bill for 2-year-old appliances! I am in for getting a class action lawsuit against Samsung!!!
