Weve had a Samsung French Door fridge RF323TEDBSR/AA for almost 3 years (still relatively new). And on replacing the water filter, the filter port began to drip leak with or without the filter. Because it was out of the 1 year warranty, we had to pay $158 parts and $130 labor to replace the entire filter port. The repair guy said that it was because we used an aftermarket (HomeDepot) filter. But comparing the replacement and original, the parts were identical. I think this is just poor quality construction in the water filter port. I would definitely think twice before purchasing another Samsung fridge.

It was purchased to replace a worn out GE microwave. It works fine but the rotary plate in the middle is smaller than the GE so that is taking some adjustment. It has three less auto buttons (no baked potato button, etc.) but we are adjusting to that as well. Overall, we’re happy with it. Now we just need to buy a new dishwasher, gas stove, and refrigerator to match???!

We purchased the French Door Refrigerator with center variable temp drawer four years ago. The ice maker stopped working 2 years ago. The center drawer ices up, then melts all over the floor so we had to turn it down to the lowest temp and now its just another drawer. Now, four years in, the refrigerator will not keep food cold. Its a PIECE OF JUNK!

We bought our Samsung refrigerator in 2011, and it will be our last as well as any other Samsung product. Door handle broke in the first week, then the ice maker (twice) and I have to dump an inch of water out from under & inside the veggie bins every other week. So far I have spent as much on repairs as I did to purchase. We strongly recommend a do not buy.

DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG DISHWASHER. Customer Service hold time is over an hour. Told this is normal. No return phone calls for follow-up. Seems like they (Samsung) is looking for a way not to repair/honor warranty. Contracted Repair company for my area is 6 hours away from residence AND reviews are disgusting. I wish I had never purchased Samsung Dishwasher. If I could get a refund I would.

Although my Samsung Refrigerator (Model RF217ACRS) looks great and worked fine for a while, the fridge is a lemon. Do not buy a Samsung fridge. Even though I have had two visits from a professional and had one part replaced, the fridge suffers from major ice buildup problems. At first it was ice and water in the bottom of the fridge. Later it was ice buildup that cut off the flow of cold air. The machine needs to be unplugged and defrosted on a regular basis which is extremely annoying. The machine has power but is not dependable.

Bought fridge July 1, 2015. Bought extended plan. 9/13/2016 started making motor noise. Repair came 9/21/16, said it was motor. Part has not come in as of 10/31/16. On 10/28/16 freezer stopped working. Lost freezer contents. On 10/30/16, freezer motor and started running again & got cold. Still a loud running noise. Repair cant come out until 11/2/16. But they still have no part. I am very unhappy. I will NEVER purchase another Samsung appliance again. Am letting all my friends know to stay away from them too! Over a month to fix a year old fridge. Unacceptable.

Purchased a new Samsung oven, dishwasher and fridge combo from Best Buy. Within 4 months of owning the oven, used very little, the oven started having serious issues. The oven would take forever to heat up, have to put it on 500 degrees to get it to heat up to 350 degrees. When you opened the door to put anything in the oven it dropped about 200 degrees. Have to wait for it to heat up again. In the middle of baking time, the oven would drop its temperature. Other times it would heat above whatever you place the oven temp on. Went to Best Buy, they had to call Samsung. Was going to be on hold for over a half hour so left and placed the called myself. When I finally got a hold of Samsung, they said they had never heard of anything like this before happening. They sent out a tech. The tech determined the whole motherboard needed replaced. Three weeks later the motherboard arrived and a tech came out and installed. Havent had problems since however for the oven only being a few months old the motherboard should not have failed. The fridge is very loud and the freezer causes freezer burn on everything. I am glad that Samsung had no issues sending someone out to repair it at no charge however they need to look more into what is causing the issue. It ruined our Thanksgiving dinner!

I purchased the new Samsung Waterwall dishwasher (Model dw80h9930US) from HH Gregg this past summer. I almost bought a Bosch but the new features of the Samsung seemed to be a better deal. Besides I already owned a Samsung washer, dryer and refrigerator. After about a month, I noticed the door started popping open during the wash cycle. I would push it back in and it would continue to pop open. I contacted HH Gregg and they informed me I had to contact Samsung. I did and they sent out a repairman who re-positioned the dishwasher and said that was the cause. After he left, I began using it again and the same thing started to happen, the door popped open during a wash cycle. I called them back again and they sent out the same technicians who fiddled with the baskets and thought that the top basket was pushing open the door during the cycle. They wanted to order a new basket for me. In the meantime, I was running the dishwasher and continually pushing in the door when it popped out until one evening, the unit beeped and the code LE appeared. This code was for Leakage and the manual instructed me to turn off my breaker to the dishwasher and call Samsung. Now I was not only without a dishwasher but my disposal was connected to that breaker. I called Samsung and demanded a new unit but they insisted on sending out the technicians again. At this point I had it with Samsung and decided to call HH Gregg. I explained to them my dilemma and they have graciously offered to replace my Samsung with a Bosch. I am overwhelmed with gratitude and will never forget the service I got from HH Gregg. They also were aware of the problems with the Samsung and were willing to help their customers get a dishwasher that works. I will never buy another Samsung product again.

I preferred to select 0 stars but that is not an option. I purchased a bottom freezer fridge on 7/26/2007, Model RB195BSSW. For several days, the freezer isnt working properly and the fridge isnt cooling sufficiently. This morning, a Best Buy technician came out to troubleshoot and determined the circuit board needs replacing. I called Samsung since the fridge is less than 5 years old. No help, the person on the phone just kept telling me I could go through Best Buy to fix the issue or have Samsung come out at my additional expense. This is unacceptable for a product that is less than 5 years old. Ive purchased many Samsung products in the past - TV, cellphones and never (knock on wood) have had an issue. I am very disappointed in their product and lack of service.

Purchased refrigerator in BLACK finish (RF28HMEDBBC) to coordinate with other appliances in my kitchen. Upon setup by delivery personnel I find surface scratches on the face of the doors that are in even patterns, they agree must be from rubbing during shipping. The salesperson from Lowes agreed to order new doors. Before doing any cleaning of the surface I referred to manual and used only recommended method of cleaning which is damp cloth followed by dry soft cloth. This method leaves swirls on finish plus near the handles I see new scratches apparently from fingernails that have swiped the door while reaching for the handle to open it (nothing else has been near that area except my hands). Also manual suggests polishing the surface once or twice a year but does not say with what product. I called Samsung and they could give me no answer to what product they recommend. The new doors arrive with another series of scratched patterns so obviously the finish is not durable at all! None of my other black appliances (other brands) have any marks and are several years old. Lowes is willing to again order new doors or swap out for another brand. I am writing this as a buyer beware notice and curious if others have had similar issues.

Bad quality and poor service. We bought the French door refrigerator about 2 years ago for more than $3000. Now the upper section is overcooling and Samsungs authorized technician came charged $220 and did not fix the problem. It lasted 32 days just more than 2 days over the warranty period. Now they say you have to pay again the same cost again.

Go on YouTube and you will find a multitude of complaints about the ice maker of this model. Samsung gave us a run around on leveling the refrigerator. I have leveled it from every conceivable spot, adjusted the front so the wheels are off the ground per their instructions and I now have to manually defrost the ice maker every 7-10 days. It used to be every 3 weeks but has deteriorated. I defrosted it November 1st 2019 and had to defrost it again today November 10th 2019. From the number of complaints there should be a general recall of this poorly designed and engineered product.

We recently put an entire modern kitchen and addition on our home. At that point given we had for many years used Samsung we upgraded the white GE appliances to Samsung in our home as they were here when we bought it. We bought a new French door bottom drawer freezer fridge, pretty much top of the line at Home Depot. We bought the matching microwave model #ME21H705MQS/AC, and lastly also the matching stove with convection, steam cleaning. The fridge was delivered first and it would not shut off and was very loud to a point were it interrupted conversations. After following their processes and after the technician came and he agreed something was very wrong, we had to them go through their executive center who literally after 20 minutes told they would sent our request for this 4 day old fridge to their engineering department to see if we qualified to have to returned. Home Depot were totally disconnected from this process. They told us they did not accept returns only repairs. We told them and Samsung should their technician who acknowledge this brand new fridge had significant issues and after the so-called executive center began by telling they would promptly resolve our issue. We told their executive center should their decision be to contradict their field technician and not replace and or return it we would seek legal counsel. They called later saying Samsung would return to Samsung. That process has taken 3 weeks since and the unit has been returned back and we await a refund. Think of the logistics involved in such a key appliance as a fridge and not just the food but having two in the house at the same time. We still do not have our refund. Friday night my wife decided make popcorn for the first time as we are only at this home on weekends in our now month old over the range microwave. With seconds she was screaming as it was on fire with flames shooting out of the side panel on the right hand side. It filled our new kitchen with disgusting white thick terrible smelling smoke. We called Home Depot and again the nightmare starts all over with chasing out tails. In various conversations with service people they tells us there are silent recalls. We are not sure about that but in any case why are they shipping products that can cause fires?Google how often this happens!I should have mentioned we have been asking to speak to a Samsung manager since this beginning with no feedback. Why should we keep the stove now??? Had we done our research this would not have happened. It is shame our home has been filled with Samsung products till this series of issues but never again!

I have only used the self clean function twice before, and before this cycle completed the control panel fried and stopped working. Now I have to find a repair company to fix this. I noticed there are hundreds of customers that have the same issue and I think it would be appropriate for Samsung be accountable for this issue. A recall should happen and if not a class-action lawsuit may be started. Im all for that!! I will definitely never buy another Samsung appliance again!

This Samsung Model RF26XAEWP refrigerator is 5 years old and has a constant problem with noise. The compressor was replaced after 1.5 years and the problem still continues. Ice always builds up on the back of the refrigerator, water collects at the bottom under the veggie drawers and the cycle continues. Ive added an extended service contract on this refrigerator and gets looked at now every three months with the same problem. I just spent 6 hours defrosting this self defrosting refrigerator and got 8 cups of water out of it. No water leaking, just ice build up. After it was completely defrosted I plugged it back in and the noise continues. It will do this until the repairman shows and then it will stop. Samsung cannot make good refrigerators or repair them. Waste of money.

I purchase my home 4 years ago. So I wanted all new appliances to go with my new home. I went to Sears. Bought a refrigerator, washer and dryer. All Samsung. I also did renovations to my home before I moved in. I didn’t move I until maybe 10 months later. Now my refrigerator leaks. The drawers are flooded with water. Or it’s frozen and can’t open. Also my dryer. That stopped working. Was told I need a new motor. And Samsung told me the manufacturer warranty is only for two years. I can’t even wrap my head around this. Model RF266AEPN, french door model. Purchased spring 2011. At four years old had to be serviced for the ice dam at the back of the refrigerator causing the fan attached to the evaporator to be compromised and sound as if the refrigerator was about to blow up. The repairman warned me that this was a common problem with Samsung and tried to sell me an extended warranty. I declined. Unfortunately I should have listened because six months later its the same old problem. Today after viewing loads of YouTube videos and reading the commentary I have no doubt this is a widespread problem with every type of Samsung refrigerator including side by side and bottom mount. The suspected causes for the malfunction range from the temperature sensor, to the heating tube around the evaporator coil, to clogged drain, to bad relay switches in the computer module, to poor software. Knowledgeable people seem to fix the problem only to have it occur again. Also made the mistake of buying a Samsung above the stove microwave that makes enough noise that I wonder if it too will blow up on me.

Ice maker stopped working within 24 months of purchase. To begin with, the unit was always too loud while making ice, no it just does not make ice. Instead it makes a loud sound in the middle of the night. I called to the Samsung reps, who were very polite about the issue. They refused to have a complimentary diagnosis technician come to my place. I dont think I want to spend any money on a unit that was not top quality in the first place. Buyers be aware. We purchased the 4 door Samsung French Door refrigerator with the Flex Zone drawer 2 years ago. Just before the 2 year mark the ice maker stopped working. We had someone come out to replace the ice maker, but found out it wasnt really the ice maker. There was a hole in the Freon line which caused the ice maker to stop working. Once the ice maker was defrosted all the Freon ran out smelling up our house & making the whole refrigerator useless. Every day for 6 weeks I called the customer service at Samsung. Not ONE person cared about us having no refrigerator. They didnt apologize or express sympathy. It was the most frustrating experience. Finally after 4 weeks they agreed verbally to give us a full refund. They wouldnt put the $ amount in writing & it took another 2 weeks for us to receive the check. We were told by a repairman to not buy Samsung appliances & we took that advice & purchased a Whirlpool. So far so good!

Our fridge is 1 1/2 years old. The ice maker is not working (slushy cubes with unit freezing up). We did not buy the extended warranty, unfortunately, but it sounds like Samsung service is not great, even for those who do. Researched the issue and found that even by replacing the unit, it is likely to have the problem recur because it is a design flaw. I purchased my refrigerator on the 16-7-13 model SR690GDLS, 7 months later there was a bubble in the door underneath the water dispenser. The whole door was replaced on the 1-4-17 and the top drip tray part that was faulty in its design as it had holes in it so the water would drip into the bottom tray. This was replaced with one that did not have any holes in it so the water could not go in to the bottom tray. I was told that this would fix the problem. Then after 3 months the plastic around the glass started to crack. I had them replaced on the 4-8-14. Samsung rang me a few days later and said they were extremely sorry for all the trouble and sent me two movie tickets. Two weeks later I notice another bubble on the new door. I rang Samsung again, they sent another door out and another top drip tray with no holes and replaced them on the 9-9-14 only 5 months since the last door was fitted. I suggested to the repairman that the underneath tray may be the faulty one as it was not replaced last time and that the same thing has happened again and that may be the problem and could he please replace that part also. He said that I would have to ring Samsung and order it so I rang Samsung while he was finishing off and they asked to speak to him. He told them that it wasnt faulty and that he replaced what was sent. I then explained the situation again to Samsung and said that that was his opinion. But my opinion is that it must be faulty as it is the only part that has not been replaced and I have had the same problem and do not want it to happen again. She said she would order the part and call me back. 30mins later she called and said they did not think that the part is faulty and that if I ask them to send it out, I have to pay for it. As you can see I am not happy with this situation and the problem is not fixed as I do not have a guarantee that it will not happen again.

In good faith we purchased a Samsung refrigerator in June 2013 from Home Depot. We purchased the extended warranty - we have had use this warranty for repairs over 10 times in under 5 years. On May 5 2018 the entire cooling system failed. I lost a ton of food and had to eat out every day. The repair guy fixed / replaced the cooling system on May 14 2018. Just for the cooling system to fail again on June 1 2018 less than 2 weeks after the fix / repair - this has left me with no freezer and no refrigerator - this unit is now deemed irreparable (it is a sitting duck not working) and I am now left with no way to keep anything cold or frozen while your process takes its sweet time. I have lost over $1000 worth of food and this is not even taking into account the food I need to buy each day for my family just to live, as I cannot keep anything cool or frozen!I was told I need to wait 10-12 days before an RMA is issued from June 5th 2018 - how long after that will it take to get an actual unit! This means I am now 2 months without any way to keep fresh food. I am beyond frustrated. I called today your company on 6/12/2018 just to be told I will receive a refurbished one. Well isnt my new one that was repaired on May 14 2018 considered refurbished? I do not want a refurbished unit. This is so unacceptable as we are suffering not the paper pushers and the approvers. Why does this process take so long? We are out $100 and $100 of dollars in food that we dont have the money to spend so that just means we are going into debt for this hassle. I feel I am being held hostage by your company and slowness to respond. This has been a horrible year with family deaths and now I have to deal with this situation. I have a medical dog who can only eat fresh food due to kidney failure as kibble is too drying for her. So the stress of keeping her alive without cooling is horrid.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator Model 3 RF217ACWP/XAA in November 2013 from Best Buy. 7 months after purchase the crisper drawers began filling up with several inches of water. We called for service and were told not to put food close to the back wall of the refrigerator. We complied (although that certainly reduced the interior space to less than what we thought we were purchasing). Within a few more months, the problem occurred again with water pooling underneath the crisper drawers and inside the left crisper. A second call went out. We expressed concern that this was a recurring problem and our one-year manufacturers warranty was up in November 2014. A Samsung representative suggested we purchase the extended warranty to cover future repairs on the defective refrigerator that Samsung sold us! Today we emptied 10 cups of water from underneath the crisper drawers. I have had it. I will never, ever, ever purchase ANYTHING manufactured by Samsung. The only thing worse than the quality of this refrigerator is the lack of any effective service. My next stop is small claims court unless they take this piece of junk back and return my money!!!!

I bought a Samsung refrigerator in 2010 from Sears. August 2012 the cooling system stopped working. I knew it was a failed compressor. It took ten days to get a service repairman to come out and replace the compressor. He was from A&E Factory Service. He tried to bill me and I showed him my 5-year warranty. It was resolved. Several months later, the cooling system stopped working. I called Samsung. A& E was scheduled to come out in a week. They never showed up. They had given the tag to Tekniton who when I called denied they had the service tag. I spent 4-5 hours making calls, being put on hold, transferred before finally Samsung sent a repairman out that day. What was the problem? A&E failed to weld the tubing shut properly. The coolant leaked out over time. Once again they tried to bill me. Once again I had to go through channels to clear up. Here it is February 14, 2013. Guess what? My refrigerators cooling system has failed again. I contacted Samsung for a repair. They tried to tell me that I was going to be charged. Once again, I had to remind them I have a 5-year warranty. Model 9187, Samsung Microwave SE code - On 6/19/13, I found several complaints and videos of how to fix the SE code on-line. I dreaded a fight, but finally called Samsung on 6/11 and talked with Amanda who could not have been nicer. She acknowledged the issue, said theyd fix it, no charge (my micro was purchased 3/21/11 - no extended warranty) and told me someone from Quality Appliance in Houston would call. Audra from Quality called a couple of hours later, again, very pleasant and professional. They followed up, gave me an ETA and Michael came a little while ago and replaced the touch panel. Its all fine now. I really like my microwave and had missed it. The entire experience was most impressive. Gee, I love dealing with actual human beings rather than machines and even better, folks who speak English. Thanks, Samsung and Quality!

I bought a Samsung french door fridge and paid $2500 four years ago. In December, the freezer stopped freezing. The display said temp was -2 but food was defrosted. So far, I have had 8 techs. They had changed the boards twice, put all new fan motors and thermostats all in the past 2 months. Freezer still doesnt work. So now, I have a very expensive piece of junk in my kitchen. NOV 14TH 2019 OUR SON WENT TO PREHEAT OUR Samsung oven and heard a crack and pop sound. All the sudden there was smoke. He ran to get his dad, my husband came running downstairs full on flames out of the back control panel. My husband had to put it out with a fire extinguisher and almost called the fire department. We bought a 5 yr extended warranty thru Best Buy and currently without a stove till they come take a look. So we have no way to cook food for our family. Were already $200 plus out of pocket expenses. Trying to remove the smell of fire from our home and had to buy a 2 burner plug in burner so we can cook something. Fire extinguisher dust everywhere. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG MAJOR APPLIANCES.

After being hit with super storm Sandy, I bought five Samsung appliances, each one has flaws. I am so disgusted with owning these products. The quality is very poor. The stove I purchased cooks really well but it is vented from the door. Years ago, the stoves vented from the top and sometimes pan handles burned or were extremely hot. Today, they vent from the door. Now I noticed that the five knobs are all burnt. Since I own the stove for more than a year, it is not covered and they feel this is not a mechanical problem. This is not my fault. It is a defect in the product if it burns the handles. I took out a warranty from Lowes and they say it is not covered under the extended warranty. This is a problem with the way the stove vents - it should be covered under the warranty. I am very unhappy.

I called Samsung customer service, and was told the sound was Normal. I guess I am not quite understanding normal when it never made this sound before. I just wish Samsung would take our complaints and concerns more seriously. The sound can be heard throughout the house, its as if someone was sitting behind the fridge popping balloons. When we call him after two days he told us that part is not available. Then after four five days later we call him again but he started ignoring our calls and he did not pick up the call then we once again started complaining to Samsung customer care but till date there is no solution. Now I think that taking very high expensive product of Samsung which is in lakh is no use for not availability of small part for such a big branded company. Thanks & regards Nimish ** Cell no: **.

SAMSUNG BUYER BEWARE - Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator!! We have had nothing but trouble since we bought ours (model #RF263BEAESR) a few years ago. Usually people that right good reviews have only had their refrigerator for a month or two. Ours worked well for the first year and then the trouble began. The icemaker broke first (it costs four to five hundred dollars to replace it) and then the defrost sensor broke (two hundred and fifty dollars to replace it). Now they say maybe its the fan - its never ending. Its a very pretty refrigerator but thats about it. There is a class action lawsuit on the ice maker and the fan and defrost sensor will soon follow. We have had Samsung certified repairmen out six times and one of the repairmen said that there is a design flaw on the refrigerator and that we should expect to keep having someone out to put a band aide on the problem.Samsung knows there is a design problem and they will do nothing to fix it. When we call Samsung they go through their written script and are worthless. We have escalated the matter and they always tell us that they will review our claims and get back to us in three to five days. They never call back. When we call them back they conveniently disconnect our call or they tell us that they cant hear us and they hang up. The Samsung call center is in the Dominican Republic. I felt I had to warn others before they made the same mistake we did in buying this horrible refrigerator. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator, you will regret it if you do!

My 4 year old Samsung French Door Refrigerator stopped cooling. As it was a Saturday night, I called a local repair company who came out and replaced the electronic control boards. That didnt fix the issue, so I called Samsung and found out that the unit has a 5 year warranty on the closed system. They gave me a repair ticket and said that the service provider would call in 24 to 48 hours later. The service center rejected the ticket because it doesnt do that repair. I have so far called the service center 4 times and have been escalated to the Executive Customer Relations department. Each time they have sent the ticket to the same service center and it has been cancelled. I have tried to escalate further but the Executive Customer Relations department is apparently a series of call centers with no centralized structure, no consistency and no accountability. I am giving up on Samsung at this point and I will never buy another one of their products. It appears to me that the warranty is a sham because they do not have anyone to actually do the repair they warranty.

Samsung RB194ACW/XAC - I purchased this stylish, freezer on the bottom, Samsung refrigerator in mid-2010. After two weeks, the digital temperature display panel on the front was showing errors in the shape of the numbers and some bars of color were missing. The fridge seemed to be operating okay, but a year and 2 days after purchase, the refrigerator portion of the device began to stop cooling. The temperature readings on the front were whacky-looking and the inside of the fridge was clearly warm and foods began to spoil. The fridge was on and running, but there was no cooling effect. This started on Thanksgiving weekend, with a large family meal on. The freezer (on the bottom of the unit) was still working. A call to Samsung Canada was very unsatisfactory. I was told, curtly, that the refrigerator was past its warranty and they would not help me. The warranty was two days expired. I called the store that sold it to me. No help there either. I paid a private appliance repair company $340.00 to have the sensor repaired and a new temperature digital panel installed. It took 2.5 months for the parts to come in and three visits by a repairperson. The first two digital panels arrived in the wrong color. Today, less than two weeks following the repair, the fridge is again not cooling. The digital panel says it is 4 degrees in the fridge, but its very warm in the fridge and food has again begun to go off. The freezer still works. I removed the back protective panel and found the fridge coils completely iced up and the tiny plastic fan that is supposed to move air over the coils is encased in ice and inoperable.I guess Ive been dealt a lemon. I will not have this fridge repaired again. After reading many identical complaints on this and other sites, I realized that Samsung has produced a refrigerator system that has known functional defects - which they continue to market and sell to unsuspecting customers like me. Ignoring customer complaints and providing no follow-up or interest in customer satisfaction is the Samsung way when it comes to their flawed refrigerator design. I will never purchase another Samsung product as a result.

Please anyone that has had problems with their Samsung Product - no matter what the product, contact me. I am trying to get a class action suit started against Samsung and their customer service department. I have had problems with my Samsung dishwasher from day one and now it is Oct of another year. Samsung thinks that they can run the warranties out on their products and people will eat it and buy something else. If your product has not been replaced or repaired, it is still under warranty and we need to get together and make sure these big companies dont think they can get away with that. My dishwasher has been sitting here since June of this year(2014) with water in it. Has been repaired many times and the last time the repairman didnt even get down the road before it broke again. Having trouble with Samsung wanting to repair again, well under the lemon law with is a law it has to be replaced. They are hoping like a lot of people I will just let it drop, no such chance, its the principle of the matter now. Big companies need to pay for their mistakes so please contact me with your information **. If I get enough I can proceed with a class action suit against Samsung. Thank you.

After two years, my Samsung SRS594HNSS two-door fridge started to freeze over on the left inside vent. It stopped working shortly after. I had the fridge for 2 1/2 years. When I contacted Samsung, who put me on to their agent, he installed a kit which cost me with labor $AU250. It took five weeks for the kit to come and it was over two months before the job was done. The fridge is now freezing over again. Samsung said it was out of warranty. I told Samsung that no one would buy an expensive fridge that would only last 2 1/2 years. It has been four months now since I contacted Samsung and their agent and the fridge is now 2 years and ten months old. I rang Samsung and they said the kit was under warranty and to call their agent again. The agent wants to charge me all over again for the labor. The agent for Samsung said that he had installed lots of these kits and never had any trouble, which makes me think it is a fault in the fridge. Samsung said it wasnt. Why the kit then? The complaints department staff were courteous and helpful. I realize it is not their fault, but a company policy. I had to buy another fridge during the hot Australian summer while waiting for the repair to be done. I am disappointed with Samsung as I have bought their products before including an expensive washing machine. I wont be buying any Samsung products from now on if they dont do the right thing by me.

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator in 2007. Nothing but problems. 4 Ice maker installed at almost $400.00 a piece. I call Best Buy. They were no help. No one in the town that I live will do repair work. They said they would not repair. Was not worth fixing. I found one repair place in the next state. They charge me $95.00 just to come to my house. I called Samsung after this problem persisted. I thought they would show a little sympathy, not a chance. That equals to an ice maker every 2 years I have owned this piece of junk. I have bought 2 Samsung tablets, a phone, a refrigerator and a range. You would think that consumer loyalty would matter but it doesnt. This fridge cost me $2415.00 plus $1600.00 for ice makers that is a total of $4015.00. This is a bad joke. The kicker is Samsung also makes the ice makers. They get your money every way you turn. I have the same thing that happened to other Samsung owners in the reviews. We bought a Samsung dishwasher a year ago at Home Depot. As soon as it was hooked up, it wouldnt work. Samsung called in a repairman and he said it was fixed. But dishwasher comes on automatically on the heavy cycle and does a dry run but doesnt shut off. Called in another repair man for the same problem and he said this is happening a lot. He put on three new parts. Washer worked for five days. Woke up one night and heavy load running on a dry cycle again with no load of dishes inside, always have to turn off breaker. Have to call repair man in again. Called Samsung number and always put in hold. This time for over 45 minutes until a guy told me that not many workers there on Friday afternoon. If they have that many complaints coming in, then must be something wrong with the company. I would suggest before you buy, call any appliance call the companys 800 number. If put on hold for a long time, dont buy that appliance. What do I want... A new dishwasher and cost to install and a staff available to customers to listen To all of us with complaints. If I bought a new car and it broke it would be fixed. If I buy a new appliance and it doesnt work as soon as I buy it... Well what would be a reasonable answer? Please need help!

Samsung 3-Door Refrigerator Ice Maker - We purchased this in 2015. We’re disappointed in the icemaker from the beginning -- it did not make a lot of ice and ran out frequently. Then the icemaker started to freeze up periodically where we were unable to remove the ice storage box. Only by turning off the refrigerator were we able to defrost. On Monday, April 9, we called customer support for advice. I followed the instructions I was given and was assured that there would be a bucket of ice the next day. Wrong. The ice storage had completely defrosted. We noticed later in the day on Tuesday that the refrigerator was no longer cooling the frig or freezer areas. We called again on Tuesday and spoke with another representative who told us to do the same thing as the first. Nothing happened. After 75 minutes with this person, we were advised that we would probably have to replace the ice-making system, not under guarantee. She assured us that during this time, they were having one of their service people identify a local service location to assist. Then we told her that the refrigerator and freezer at least were working before we followed their instructions and shouldnt they be responsible for damaged food and whatever needed to get the frig and freezer working. She said to make an itemized list of the fold that was spoiling, take a picture and show the price. Didnt say they would reimburse, nor did she suggest any responsibility on their part for the problems caused by following the directions on the tech support. At this point, we asked for a supervisor. We were on hold for about an hour and finally hung up. We called again and were able to speak with a tech person who was able to at least get the frig and freezer working. The icemaker appears to be working now, but it will continue to back up and freeze, like it always does. This morning, another tech person called and asked if she could help resolve this over the phone. This was very disappointing, as I was expecting either a call from the local appliance repair place or perhaps the supervisor. This was unbelievable, and of course I was angry about how our problem was being handled. I mentioned that unless a supervisor was willing to call me back (I was no longer willing to wait for someone not to come on the phone), there was no longer a need for conversation. The tech support people were polite. But I will never, never again purchase any Samsung product.

Called customer service and reported what I felt would be a manufacturing defect. When I went to steam clean the oven this week I noticed on the floor, of the oven, fan-like cracks in the enamel. The enamel was cracked and the metal below was showing in 3 areas. I asked if anyone else had reported this. After the CS rep investigated she returned and said no other complaints and it would not be anything they would address as the stove was 2 yrs old. That was all. I moved into a new house on Jan 7 2015. The house came with stainless steel appliances (Brand new). I peeled the stickers from the Samsung stove myself... So I know I was the first user. Used it 4 times, smelled a funny smell but the documents said that its OK to have this smell in the first few times, so I didnt pay much attention.Then... short and I had to reset the breaker. Since then the oven wont pre-heat. Call Samsung and they sent out a nice guy that didnt know what to do. He then called Samsung and had been transferred 2 times to speak to 2 different Samsung reps. The 3rd guy asked him to check behind the stove and look for burned wires. My cool tech told him its a brand new stove. Samsung guy asked him to check... Well... bad wiring almost cost me my sons life, my life, my house and everything I have. My tech got an authorization number from Samsung and said that Samsung will call me within 24-48 hours to schedule a pickup and replacement. So... I waited.4 days later I called Samsung, gave them that number and they transferred me to a different department. The lady told me that she cannot help me without a receipt. I told her that I got the stove with the house and its not about a piece of paper. Its about Samsung selling a faulty equipment, a fire hazard in a shape of an oven.No go... Tried to leave a message on their FB page... the guy told me that he is sorry for my inconvenience (its a gas stove, that burned itself and can kill me... they know about it but still selling it... its not an inconvenience, its simply dangerous to let this company sell products!) - but... I need to get him a receipt for him to ask Samsung to take responsibility for its faulty product. Is there any federal commission that can take my oven and investigate it? Maybe cross it with houses that burned? Its like that GM recall... They KNOW about it but wont do a thing until someone will die, even then they maybe try to cover up before taking real action. My advice to you - Stay away from Samsung products! (Cell Phones, Computers, TVs.. anything). Also, Ive seen some other complaints here. Im going to buy a new stove next week. But if theres a class action going on I would like to be a part of it. If theres none, Im interested in filing one and would like to contact other people who had a similar experience. So, please contact me if you can.

The first year we had it, it started to leak water and Samsung sent a service man out to fix it. He fixed it but months later it started to leak again. After he fixed it, 3 weeks later it leaked again. Samsung has paid for all of these repairmen at a cost of $200.00 a visit. When we call Customer Service about a refund or replacement we get stonewalled. They will not even let us talk to anyone higher than a customer service rep. We are very frustrated as they say their tech dept. has to deem this unit as having a factory defect. I dont know, and they cant tell me, how this is determined. I really enjoy the accessories that came with it. 2 serving plates are nice. The rack so I can have 2 levels, or more room to cook more food at the same time. All the features that are very easy to use.

I bought this dishwasher new. Within the first 2 years the control panel went out, cost $200. The bottom screen tore, replaced at 85. My husband did all the labor or I would have paid as much again for this dishwasher as it cost originally. Now just a simple leak at the bottom of the door. The rubber gasket is old and tore, water leaking all over my floor. Simple to get out. But Samsung does not sell just the door gasket, You must Buy The Entire Door Panel. Why not? It’s holding the consumer hostage for higher priced parts replacements. Repacking a door when you just need the seal! The cost of a gasket $20 maybe, but the entire door is what they want to sell me at $250. just to get a new bottom door seal. Highway robbery. I will never buy your product again. Totally ridiculous! This dishwasher still looks great but it is being trashed. Can’t use it, leaks water all over the floor without the gasket. I won’t waste any more fixing this product. Buying a new Whirlpool! Never buy Samsung Dishwashers!

Purchased a Samsung refrigerator RF220NCTASR/AA September 2016 In January. I experienced food poisoning and food spoilage. I bought a thermometer to check temperature and it was hovering at 42 degrees even when turned up all the way! There is no way to know how long this was going on!! Service response was terrible and I was forced to wait almost two weeks for a tech to come out and slap in a new assembly cover on Feb 1st. The next day the problem was worse. The temperature would go from 32-42 degrees in as little as 30 minutes. I still have not been able to use the refrigerator as it is unsafe and they will not come back out to service until Feb 6th. Meanwhile, I have called corporate demanding a new fridge from Samsung, hhgregg and have file complaints with the BBB, local TV stations, and newspaper.

Buyer beware!!! After owning this French door refrigerator for a little over a year, there started to be water buildup under pantry drawer. The water would then freeze and would prevent the drawer from opening. I began the weekly game of trying to thaw the ice in order to use the pantry drawer. The ice would come out in big sheets. Big enough that while pulling a chunk out of the fridge, a piece broke off and dented my appliance. And because there was nowhere for the water to go, it started seeping out onto my hardwood floors which caused them to hoover up. After about 3 months of this NONSENSE I had it serviced. The repairman had fixed NUMEROUS Samsung French door refrigerators with this same issue. SHAME ON YOU Samsung for allowing a fridge to be engineered this way... Thought you were smarter than that. Since that service call I have had to get my ice maker serviced 2 times, dishwasher serviced 2 times and washing machine 2 times. All Samsung appliances. Buyer beware!

Samsung RF-28hdedbsr - WOW! Thought I had done my due diligence before buying this refrigerator but unfortunately I never saw this site. Purchased this appliance for several thousands of dollars in May 2016 and worked fine until July 2017 when ice maker quit functioning properly. The problem is that when ice bucket was full the sensor quit telling the ice maker to stop filling the trays. It just kept filling and dumping ice until unit was so full that it froze up everything. Then like everyone else I had to use hairdryer to unthaw the ice maker compartment. This worked a couple of times but now ice maker has totally quit working. What a POS!Of course out of factory warranty and did not buy extended warranty as every GE, Kenmore, Frigidaire refrigerator I have ever purchased over the last 40 years havent had any problems. Big mistake. NEVER PURCHASE ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCE again tv, fridge microwave etc. With so many complaints why hasnt some govt agency gotten involved or a class action lawsuit been filed to make Samsung recall or fix this problem as they are obviously selling a defective product.

Refrigerator is three year old and cost about $2000. Last week the evaporator fan (inside of the refrigerator) started getting noisy. After looking online and discovering that this is a common issue I contacted the support people at Samsung. I received a canned response that said it could be caused by lots of things. They recommended that I unplug the refrigerator for 24 hours to let the evaporator thaw and for the ice to melt. If it happens again Im supposed to call for a repair appointment. We had to move all of our contents out of the refrigerator to let the evaporator thaw before we could get the cover off to clean out the drain. This is a really poor product backed up by offshore support auto responders. For your next refrigerator purchase choose any product other than Samsung.

Samsung has great TVs... That is all!!!! My refrigerator is a Samsung counter depth freezer drawer on the bottom and meat cheese drawer in the middle. 1. In order to change the water filter you need to turn off the water to the fridge; that means pulling it out of the wall pocket every six months minimum.. Joke.. 2. The veggie storage drawers trap food and mold. 3. It is the cheapest refrigerator by far; drawers in freezer come off track all the time.. 4. Freezer is a bottomless pit. 5. It doesnt fit anything.. Be very aware. The dishwasher rinse aid piece broke and the technician said I have to be more gentle.. How about Ive never broken one in my 50 years of buying dishwashers; they usually have a slide door instead of a cheap piece of plastic..The stove, you lean up against it to put something away and the gas goes on and you dont even realize it.. The clothes washing machine traps hair in the drain of the door; constantly removing debris.. Lastly, the dryer worst lint drawer every, you have to pull it out and pry it apart every time to clean it. Stick with TVs SAMSUNG.. Go for GE Profiles or Whirlpool... Stay away from SAMSUNG!!!

Ive come from a string of GE refrigerators that always seemed to disappoint me in one way or another. Most of the problems were related to not holding the desired temperature in both refrigerator and freezer compartments. I also experienced problems with excess moisture in the freezer compartment and ice makers/ice water dispensers that never worked properly. The water dispenser always froze up unless I raised the temperature to an unsafe level. Very poor design. The Samsung French door unit has worked perfectly for about 1 1/2 years, but it does make a lot of strange noises. So far this appears to be a quality unit that works as expected.

I purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator with deli tray and bottom freezer in June 2012. I have had small problems with water pooling in the chill cabinets which Ive been able to deal with. However, its since expanded to a heavy build-up of frost in the freezer. The soft-close feature stopped working weeks ago and the freezer drawer now wont close without putting a huge strain on my back due to the frost build-up. I have been calling around for three days and checking review and appliance sites. I can find no local technician who will take on a Samsung refrigerator repair because they say these refrigerators are simply unreliable and difficult to fix so they stay fixed. (If a manufacturer is going to sell a product, they should ensure there are respected certified repair technicians within that sales area.) Compounding my problem, I have a spine disability that makes it impossible to pull put the refrigerator to try to defrost it. My spine problem requires daily ice packs. The twice-daily struggle to open the freezer door to get to the ice packs has further exacerbated my pain and ability to get around.

I cannot use the range and Samsung refuses to acknowledge ownership for poor quality or replace the knobs. It is a simple task that costs less than $5 yet they are willing to lose business over $5. It seems they do not value their customers. In 25 years I have never had any knob break on my ranges. Even the cheapest of Frigidaire ranges are sturdier and better built than this Samsung model that I purchased through Costco for $1,100. Very disappointed in Samsung’s customer service. All my appliances are Samsung (dishwasher, fridge, tv, phone, etc) and this is the customer loyalty they show. Disgraceful. The service call was escalated and they still refused to even make a compromise. “I’m sorry, that’s what the 1 year warranty is for,” doesn’t seem to cut it. They have lost a long time customer.

So we purchased this refrigerator on May 29, 2017. We were so excited about this since we had done a lot of homework and research and this seemed like it would fit our needs. After delivering the refrigerator we noticed that the ice maker was noisy but what the heck, this wasnt a deal breaker. Then the fun really began. On October 12, less than 4-1/2 months later the ice maker went out. They came out promptly and replaced the ice maker with a new one and everything was fine UNTIL February 22, 2018 (again around 4 months later) the ice maker quit working again... So another technician came out and told us that the refrigerator needed to be exchanged. He gave us an exchange number and told us someone would call us within 24-48 hours. (I have learned to HATE that comment). We waited and no one called so I called the company service department and they asked me for some numbers off of the purchase ticket. They told me that they were waiting on this information in order to expedite the exchange. My response was why didnt you call. Anyway, I gave them the information they were looking for (we had purchased the refrigerator at Sears). Samsung informed me that they would call me back within 24-48 hours. Guess what. They didnt. So, I called them again and asked what the problem was now. They informed me that they were waiting on more information and that as soon as they had it they would start processing the claim. This has been going on for almost a month now. Thursday 3/8/18 I turned it over to my husband and he contacted the NJ office and was told that we COULDNT get a exchange but we could get a refund, minus the sales tax and that they would respond in (wait for it) 24-48 hours. We never received a call so I called them back today on 3/13 and was informed that they had it in the file and I explained to the first person that I didnt want a refund, less the sales tax because I couldnt replace the refrigerator with that. She informed me that she was sorry, seriously, who cares. But I told her that we needed an exchange and I wanted to speak to her supervisor. She came back on the line and told me that she could give me the refund PLUS the sales tax and I informed her that I could not replace the refrigerator for that. I asked to speak to HER supervisor. Let me say that it is almost impossible to speak to a supervisor of any kind. These people have a script and they do not deviate from it. I was finally able to speak to supposedly a manager who simply stated the same thing she was sorry but they couldnt do an exchange but she could get me back my sales tax plus the purchase price.I told her that I didnt want my money back because I could not replace the refrigerator and it wasnt my fault that it was a LEMON. She again went through the Samsung Party Line and I told her that I wanted to talk to her supervisor. She told me that she was it and I explained that I then wanted to speak to the person that SHE has to answer to. Guess what... She told me that no one could do anything better than this BUT if I wanted she would have someone return my call wait for it in the next 24 to 48 hours. Hmmm. What are the chances. Just some food for thought here. I have never experienced such horrible Customer Service in my life. Very few of the people speak English and it is almost virtually impossible to understand them. They absolutely refuse to let you speak to anyone else and just continue on with Im sorry and I can help you with that, but they can not help me so why do they continue to do so. It is the most frustrating experience and it will literally make you crazy. I totally refuse to give up and if necessary I will contact the media outlets AND social media to get this resolved... This is absolute BS.

I guess I should have read the reviews on this dishwasher before purchase; however, I relied on the good name of Samsung. Boy was I wrong! I purchased my dishwasher in March of 2014. In December, was getting the error codes. I called the repair warranty center and they came right out and fixed it. I was happy and impressed. Despite the fact that the dishwasher constantly smelled awful… it worked. By April 2015, I was getting the same error code. Samsung refused to stand behind their product. This is obviously a major problem with this unit with the numerous complaints and we know that this is just the tip of the iceberg! Shame on you Samsung for not addressing this problem fairly. You have really taken advantage of the consumer and that is disgraceful. I had to throw away a dishwasher that was only 13 months old because it cost more to fix than to buy a new one. Samsung has eye-catching features on their refrigerators HOWEVER as the saying goes Just because it glitters does not mean its gold! In other words JUST BECAUSE IT LOOKS FANCY DOES NOT MEAN IT WILL WORK LIKE IT SHOULD! I purchased a Samsung (Model#: RF28HFEDTBC - bottom freezer) four (4) years ago (9/2014) with a 3yr warranty. I paid over $1800 ON SALE! Now the ice is building up in the fridge ice maker and in the back unit. A technician from the Network Group technicians came out to check why my fridge was not cooling like it should. The tech told me that the ice maker has a replacement unit and this is why the fridge back panel has iced up. He said that the issue with the ice maker NOT working properly is causing the other issues. That sounds like a defective part to me! REFRIGERATORS LIFE EXPECTANCY IS MINIMUM 14yrs!He recommended that I keep the top ice maker off and only use the freezer ice maker or this will probably happen again. The technician also recommended that if I did not want to pay the $300.00 for the ice maker replacement, $150.00 for the back panel defrost/replacement of the fan, $80.00 for labor, that I could just pay the $80.00 for his 10-minute visit and unplug the fridge for minimum 3-5 days to allow it to defrost myself. I have been without a fridge for a week now trying to make sure the ice has fully defrosted. My cooler with bags of ice is keeping my food colder than that SAMSUNG! Maybe I should have got a mini fridge and an ice chest! Anything would have been better than this SAMSUNG refrigerator! I will NEVER buy a SAMSUNG product again.

Samsung’s refrigerators are nothing but disappointment. Their refrigerators are not cheap, so you would think you get what you pay for... but you’re paying for a fridge that doesn’t cool the food and when it is it is never the posted temperature. This fridge will not only cost you thousands to purchase, but then thousands in lost food due to spoilage and hundreds if not thousands in repairs. Samsung’s warranty and customer service are jokes, and neither can help in rectifying their wrongdoings! They have been selling the same faulty design in all their refrigerators since 2006 despite the class action suit against them for their faulty design. They will tell you it’s a rare issue... it is not. There is a service bulletin out about it. They’re aware. They just don’t care. Last week my Samsung “fridge” caused mold in my toddlers cup due to improper cooling, this is how I discovered (for the 3rd time) it stopped cooling once again... despite it reading a temperature of 38*... not cooling while displaying a temp that indicates it is, is causing unsafe food temps that have made people sick! They don’t care. There is a reason there is an FB group of over 25,000 asking for a recall on all Samsung refrigerators. If you make it through the warranty period without issues, rest assured your product will break in 1 months time. Don’t buy Samsung. It is nothing but pretty TRASH!

Why do people submit reviews after owning a dishwasher for only 2 months is beyond me. Of course its going to run great! After 1 year they will be singing a different song. Its so quiet now BECAUSE ITS BROKEN!!! I have a 0 decibel DW now, the dishwasher is completely dead. I paid $700 for this dishwasher. I repaired the inlet valve sensor, case assy, and main relay board. I finally gave up after coming across some fine dishwasher from WP on Black Friday. I have a Samsung fridge and its acting up too. I shouldve gotten an extended warranty on both, but it seems, Im reading, that Samsung wont support the products with extended warranties.

We spent big dollars on this fridge and expected quality. We are a couple and have not put a lot of use on this fridge. At exactly 5 years, we started hearing a grinding fan noise in the back of the fridge. It got worse over the next week. Called a 5 star appliance repair company to come and take a look. We found out the problem is the evaporative cooling fan for the fridge. It is going to be a $350.00 repair. The repairman was very knowledgeable about the unit. He told us that Samsung refrigerators keep him employed. He also told us that we were the lucky ones having the refrigerator for 5 years with no other problems. He was a wealth of information, all of it bad for the longevity and costs that we could expect in the future. We decided to repair it and hope for the best. Repairman brought the new part back a week later. Unwrapped the bubble wrap to have a piece of plastic go flying. Part was broken and could not be used. He apologized and said that he would have to reorder and he could not guarantee that it would last even one year. We then decided to rethink our decision. After reading literally thousands of online reviews, we decided to cut our losses and run. Used our Labor Day weekend to seek out and purchase a new Made in America refrigerator. Money we had not intended on spending but glad to be out from under the Samsung brand. We have to wait for our new refrigerator and the fan noise is so loud now after 2 1/2 weeks that we can hardly hear one another to converse in our kitchen/family great room. Our daughter has been having problems with her ice maker on her Samsung from one year on, constant problem and royal pain. No fix in sight for hers either. One would think that Samsung would get a clue and improve their product but NO that is not what is happening. They knowingly continue to sell faulty and substandard products. We will tell everyone we know to walk away before they even consider a Samsung fridge. We wish someone had told us... If I could have given a worse star selection than 1, I would have... Save yourself a lot of grief and money~~DON’T BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR.
