Mother boards failed in 2 year old unit. There was no one to service the unit even though I had the extended warranty. Samsung was unwilling to help and tried to get out of it. The company pushes the extended warranty but then wont honor the warranty. When you call the customer service number you get people who can barely speak English and those that can speak English are so hard to understand. They make you feel like you are clueless as to how a unit should work and make you feel like you did something to cause the failure. Having to throw out food because of non-functioning refrigerator is not a good thing. Totally useless piece of electrical garbage. I finally gave up and bought a Whirlpool unit. Samsung makes an impressive looking unit but it doesnt last and the company isnt interested in fixing the problem.

I got a call from my wife at work and reported serious issue with the 3-year-old microwave (Samsung Model 9781B Microwave). She said it smelled like smoldering plastic and from the other reviews, this microwave is a piece of junk and should be recalled by Samsung. I will purchase a different brand, because I do not want to take a chance of endangering my family with this junk. This is my second Samsung appliance - first and last!

BEWARE. Had problems from the first week. Leaks like crazy on the heavy wash cycle. After several service calls and repairs we gave up and stopped using that cycle as the issue could never be resolved. We only use the express cycle to avoid leakage. Worked that way for a year. Now we have a computer problem where the key pad just blinks but the dishwasher wont start. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. Most expensive piece of garbage weve ever purchased. So sick of service calls. Going to trash this piece of junk and cut our VERY EXPENSIVE losses. This was supposed to be top of the line. Dont be fooled. Its garbage.

We bought the better microwave but as far as operation it is more difficult to use setting time and temperature and turning on are not like the usual microwaves. Sometimes when you punch the buttons they do not respond and you have to go thru the whole process again and hope it functions. Would not recommend.

This is an update to my previous post on my 3 and 1/2 year old fridge that quit working. I filled out a form from the Samsung site on the issue with the fridge and got a stock *received* form type letter back on the 18th. There was no mention of repairs, how to handle the problem, or if they were going to do anything. When I was on their website, it said the fridge was out of warranty and when I searched for appliance repair dealers, I got 0 results back. After reading pages of complaints all over the web with the same issues (bad ice makers, and the cooling issue), we decided we would not throw good money after bad in trying to fix it. We bought a new top rated GE (which will be delivered next month as we wanted a very specific model) and on 12-23, Lowes hauled the broken Samsung off (to the dump I guess). After the fridge was gone, later that evening, we get a UPS delivery of an envelope with a generic return address. We have no idea who sent it, instructions, nothing but a part; a temperature sensor that plugged into something. So I google the address and find its a Sears warehouse. I call them and they look up the order number and say its a Samsung part. So, I get a temp sensor, no idea it was even being sent from Samsung who when I look at my account online with my complaint, says the action was cancelled by **me** on 12-18. To say this whole thing has been frustrating is a big understatement. In fact, I am not sure a new sensor would have even fixed the problem from what I have been reading all over the internet.

First the ice maker quit..Now it is continuously freezing up to the point where the freezer quits working as well..We have lost about $1,500.00 in food.. Spoke directly to Samsung and their response was to just unplug it regularly... Had a repair man out that took the panels out and physically defrosted both compartments..another $700.00..Now I have had to unplug it at least once a week..THIS IS INSANE...Not enough time to get into the stove and dishwasher..Stay away from this manufacturer...

Bought my Samsung Stainless Steel Gas slide-in range #NX58H9500WS on March 26, 2016. Last week after the holidays on 12/27/17 decided to use the self cleaning oven for very first time (oven was only lightly soiled). I picked the short 2hr cycle since it was the first time using the cleaning feature. About an hour later noticed the display lights were all off and oven was not running. Oven door was locked. The knobs and display panel were hot. Waited for it to cool down for hours. Nothing changed. Luckily the stove top still worked! Called PC Richards for my extended warranty service. A week later the repair tech came and said he has seen this problem many times before and that it is a known design flaw of the range and suggested I clean the stove manually from now on! I couldn’t believe what I was hearing - after spending over $2000.00 on a new range I am supposed to clean it by hand? The tech ordered the 3 hidden thermal fuses and will return to repair when they come in. If that does not unlock the oven door he states it could be that the motherboard was also fried and need to be replaced. Luckily I have an extended warranty but if I attempt to use the self clean again will this happen all over again. I will be contacting Samsung for the answer. I am 60 yrs old and have never had to clean any oven manually before and don’t intend to start now! Apparently this is a known flaw and this product should be recalled by Samsung. I will wait until the tech returns with the parts (hopefully within another 2 weeks) and everything is fixed and then intend to contact Samsung again. This is a major inconvenience, not having an oven for at least 3-4 weeks. I hear the customer service and satisfaction at Samsung is less than adequate but I am relentless and will not accept this situation. I will keep you posted.

I was heart-sick when I read all the horrible reviews for the Samsung refrigerators. I have only had model RS265TDRS for 6 months and it quit cooling 2 days ago. Tried the OnLineChat and was sent by the agent to a Samsung link that extolled how you should NEVER put a thermometer in the refrigerator to see what temp it is. I couldnt believe it. Then I put in a work ticket... and heard NOTHING. As I purchased the extended warranty through Conns the appliance store, they do warranty service as well, and when I heard nothing from Samsung.. I called them. They came out within 48 hours and told me the problem was the plastic cover over the coils, and it would take 3 to 5 business days to get the part. I nearly died. I explained this is my only refrigerator and they didnt seem to care. I agreed and after we plugged up the open spaces around the coils with small strips of quilt batting he left. The cooling element does seem to be working... as the vegetable drawers are 42 degrees... but up on the top shelf it is 60 degrees. How do I know??? I left the horrible thermometer they wanted me to immediately take out... in the unit. Now.... the door is telling me that the refrigerator is 34 degrees... but it is not. I FINALLY got the local service company contact information from them... however... the online chat lady said I had to file a work report with them first and then I could call the repair company directly and give them the work order. So! Lets start a lawsuit.... This is insane... to that poor couple who had been using a cooler for over 30 days... I went online and purchased a small GE fridge that I will keep in the garage... or get one sized for a dorm room... to keep your meds in... I am ready to fight them on this one...

The worst customer service experience I have ever been apart of. I purchase
The worst customer service experience I have ever been apart of. I purchased a new Samsung dishwasher MODEL NUMBER DW80J3020UB/AA, from Conns on October 13th, 2015. It was delivered a few day later, the box from the outside looked fine, no damage to report, all is good. Two weeks later when my contractor had the dishwasher installed it leaked water from the front of the unit. After further examination damage was located inside the dishwasher that was creating the leaking issue. I called Conns to report the damage and was notified by the manager that it was a Samsung issue due to it being after 30 days from purchase and they gave me an 800 number to call. So called Samsung to report the damage, they listened to what I had to say and told me that a service technician would need to come and look at and/or possibly repair the dishwasher. Fine, a tech came to the house, looked, took pictures, called and reported back to Samsung while I was listening and this is what he reported. There is damage to the inside of the dishwasher that cant be repaired, the customer could not have seen this damage from the shipping container and that the dishwasher needed to be replaced. All was good until a few days later I hadnt heard back from Samsung so I called to ask for an update and possibly get the ra number required to replace my dishwasher. I was notified that the service technician reported back to them the damage was cosmetic and therefore the damage would not be covered under the manufactures warranty. I replied to the lady that the technician had reported something completely different to myself and to them while I was listening. She said that another service company would have to be sent out to resolve the issue. Thats what happened, another company came out and looked at the dishwasher and reported to them that the dishwasher was damaged, could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. The customer could not have seen the damage from the shipping container so therefore needed to be replaced. Waiting, waiting, nothing from Samsung, so I called them again for an update and this is what I was told! The damage to your dishwasher IS NOT covered and will not be replaced due to the technicians report that visited our home. I paid $500.00 plus for a brand new dishwasher that was delivered, unusable and will NOT be replaced. I am not rich, $500.00 dollars is a lot of money that normal people cant just throw away but I guess that is what Conns and Samsung expect. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

We bought a stainless steel side by side refrigerator in February 2013. In less than a month, we had problems with the ice maker not making ice. They came out and did some type of repair and in another month, we had to call them again. The refrigerator is only 18 months old and should not be having problems at all (We had one that lasted 20 years). We talked to the factory rep via phone and they just basically said, Sorry, but its out of warranty. Too bad. It will be the last Samsung fridge we ever buy. In fact, we will probably junk it and buy an LG which we really do like a lot. Just not right to have unsolved problems and have to pay out of our pockets for the repair.

I liked the looks and of course price. But I found it very hard to clean. Shelves didn’t come out easily. It had a leak, never could figure out where. But it would run under pans. Then freeze. It had to be defrosted twice a week. When there was a power surge, or outage. The refrigerator would turn off. It had to be pulled out from wall. Unplugged for a couple minutes then reset. I never knew when it would shut off.

I have a Samsung model RF28HDEDBSR/AA, serial #06EC43AFB01664x purchased from Best Buy. It has nothing to do with them though. Samsung is the problem... We just finished paying the darn refrigerator off... THANK GOD I have a service contract with a home warranty company since the ice maker is poorly designed! So far we have had 4 repairs, 2 replacements of the ice maker unit, special sealant added all around the unit and STILL, the ice comes out slushy and the unit leaks water constantly. I contacted Samsung and, much like all the other complaints I have read, I was told how sorry they were, but that since my unit is over their warranty, nothing could be done. She was willing to contact a repair person though everything is on me from there. Again, THANK GOD I have the home warranty...The Samsung representative stated they had no recalls nor were aware of any issues... I wonder if they check sites like this! We LOVE the unit since it is 28 cubic feet of great space. The fatal flaw is the ice-maker and I would tell anyone looking to not buy it unless you dont mind constant pulling of the ice machine unit to remove ice build-up or put up with constant calls for repairs...

We purchased this Samsung smh1816s microwave in the fall of 2013. By December 2013 the microwave quit working and displayed the SE or 5E error code. Samsung repaired the unit under warranty only after 2 weeks (1 of which was Christmas week) with no microwave. Now (December of 2014) we are having the exact same issue, showing the exact same error code and Samsung customer service and executive customer service refuse to fix the microwave because it is out of warranty. I will NEVER recommend Samsung appliances to anyone else. I too would love to be part of a class action lawsuit filed against this company for selling knowingly defective equipment. You pay $300 for a Microwave you dont even get 18 months worth of use out of.....very poor way to conduct business Samsung!

Our new puppy likes to counter surf and has turned on the knobs several times but even before that we have done it ourselves by bumping into them. The most recent time caused a small fire. I am very upset. There are Zero safety devices that will fit this design knob. My only option is to remove the knobs when not cooking and its hard to get the whole family to comply with that. This product (Slide in electric range model NE58F9500SS) should be recalled. I cant believe there have been so many reports of this and there is no fix and Samsung has done nothing.

Samsung fridge has had a problem. Repaired twice for frosting up to 1 on the back wall in the first 3 years of use. Unfortunately I didnt learn my lesson and purchased a Samsung over the stove Microwave from Costco.ca 9 months ago and now it has what seems to be a common problem of not wanting to shut off when the timer is done. Its great that Costco has such a good return policy and I will be returning it and buying another brand. I will never buy another Samsung product again! We redid our kitchen in August 2012 and purchased three Samsung products - a stove, a refrigerator and a dishwasher. This review is about the dishwasher. Ive already submitted a review about our stove. We purchased our Samsung dishwasher, Model #DMT 300RFS/XAA in August 2012 for $515. Our first repair was on 22 Jan 2014, the float level sensor had to be replaced, and the cost was $208.21.The next problem happened on 6 May 2015. The case sensor and brake have to be replaced and the cost will be $316.24. If we have this repair done, and we wont, this substandard appliance will have cost us $515 (original cost) + $524.45 (2 x repairs) = $1039.45. Note: the repairs alone total more than the cost of the dishwasher. Weve now got a 225 lb. paperweight in our kitchen.

When our refrigerator quit after 24 years, I was excited to receive our new Samsung refrigerator. The unit was on sale, but my particular unit had been mislabeled in the store, so the salesman gave me the listed price. Perfect! Well, less than 8 months later, the ice maker just quit - on the day of our Thanksgiving dinner. I read all the literature and watched the videos via the QR Codes. My husband and I both reset the ice maker and waited 24 hours. We changed the water filter, even though no indicator light suggested it needed changing. My first call to Samsung left me beyond frustrated. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told no one was available. This technician (I use this word loosely) had me repeat everything that I had already done. Then she finally told me to turn the ice maker off on the door panel and wait 90 minutes for it to start making ice again. When I asked how it would possibly make ice when its off, she just kept repeating her instructions. What did I do? I turned the ice maker off. I wondered if this was some hard reset that wasnt listed in any material. Then came call number 2. I turned the ice maker on and gave it a little time. Nothing. I told the second Samsung person what the first person had me do. He said, Well, your ice maker wont work if its turned off. You think? He started asking me to do everything again...checking filter, resetting machine. He then asked me the temp settings. I told him -2 for freezer and 36 for the fridge. He said I needed to change the fridge to 37. When I asked him why setting my fridge one degree warmer would help, he had no answer. He then told me to wait 2-3 hours and call them back if it was not working. I said, Look, Ive been doing the same procedures for over 24 hours now. Cant you schedule someone to come fix this? He then informed me that it was procedure.Call number 3. When the third technician started to ask me questions, I cut her off. I explained that I wasnt going to repeat everything again for a third person, especially when my husband and I had already performed the same steps the day before. She apologized and told me that someone would be in my area on Friday, but the service department would call and confirm. I received a call from their service department. It was an automated message, asking me to wait. When nothing happened after several minutes, I hung up. On the second call, I decided to put my phone on speaker and go about my tasks. After 30 minutes, no one had picked up! I then called them back. After a few calls, I finally reached someone. I was told that they did not have me down for service for Friday and that the next available day would be the next Thursday. So, we are now waiting to see if someone will actually show for Thursdays appointment. I cant believe that something is broken in such little time. I usually read reviews before purchasing any big ticket items. I didnt with this purchase. When your fridge goes out, you simply go out and get one, preferably one that can be delivered quickly. I wont make this mistake again, and I definitely will not be purchasing a Samsung! I dont see how this company is going to stay in business with poor quality and poor service.

My three-year old Samsung freezer is constantly frosting up and has built up ice so badly that the gasket around the freezer drawer is now completely out of whack and the draw doesnt close properly anymore which only makes matters worse. I had a Sears repairman come to the house and he tried. He said he had fixed the problem; well, he didnt. Our dishwasher is 2 years old and it has been a problem since the start. The touch pad on the top of the door is sleek but doesnt always work properly. Many times we would press the button and nothing happens. You need to press the power button then the start button. Both often need to be pressed several times before it works. The cleaning power is weak and the dryer is worse. After a long cleaning cycle, the glasses and dishes are dripping wet. A few times the dishwasher stops in mid-cycle with an error indicator. My ICEMAKER on the French door models of Samsung has been terrible. So bad that its starting to rust the outer door where water has been dripping down from the ice dispenser on to the outer door. Called and they said it would cost me well over $300.00 to fix it. They didnt say anything about the rust on the door. Even though the warranty is up, this is crazy. We just had a service guy come out on yesterday about another issue with the TwinCooling Plus panel on the inside back wall. That was $309.00. Three hundred here and three hundred there adds up to a lot. Also the warranty on this is only for a year. Have a lot of Samsung TVs and washer and dryer. But this will make me think twice on Samsung.

Samsung Dishwashers 5E Drain Code Error Flashing Delicate Light Applies to many models. After much research, this helped me. Dishwasher went through all cycles but stopped after trying to drain flashing delicate light. Check the drain line and sink drain for plugging and kinks. Make sure the drain pump is working and not noisy. If it is check the motor resistance with a meter replace if needed from underneath the unit Part # DD32-00005A.MY problem was the rubber check valve / check vane at the bottom of the unit was twisted Part # DD66-00045A and would allow water back into the dishwasher. Hence all the complaints about dirty dishes. A Philips screwdriver is all you need to disassemble the bottom portion of the pump assembly from INSIDE the dishwasher and replace it. It is located at the very bottom of the sump outlet and you pull it out with needle nose pliers. Check the pump assembly diagrams online.Remove the small cover panel + clean off the white ECS sensor Part # DD82-01118A. If you get an E1 error check the resistance with a meter and replace from underneath. Clean out all the washer nozzles they plug up with food particles and re-assemble. Run a sanitize cycle with vinegar as described on Samsung website. This worked for me but there are other problems that may cause this like a control board or relay. Good luck! The ice maker freezes and jambs up and will not make cubes or while on cube setting you get crushed ice or no ice at all. Samsung states they only have one service call on record which was Jan. 2013 - I think they make up stories. They must have a record of the service companies who replaced parts at no charge to us. The company does not stand by its products. There is a recall I am told on this ice maker issue, but the representatives do not know about that I assume since it was not mentioned to me. The service man that came today told me about it. Oh another service man is coming Monday with a part. I feel Samsung thinks we all just fell off a turnip truck.

I will have to unplug my refrigerator for 2 days and they will have to put in a new improved part in the drain that is deeper and replace another part along with it. The company I purchased it from who is also my repairman stated he just repaired another one the previous week. It sounds to me like this is a huge issue with Samsung refrigerators. I am not happy about putting $150 in a less than 2-year old fridge. Samsung needs to step up, take credit for the mistake, and offer some type of resolution to the solution!

I wonder what will be the outcome. To tell you the truth, I am not optimistic at all.

I have owned this microwave since 2010. Today it displayed the SE error. After reading online, I determined that it was due to the fact that the microwave is installed over the stove and steam from cooking affects the sensor on the control panel (its kind of hard to cook and not have steam!!!). I watched the YouTube video and repaired the panel accordingly. So far it is working - but who knows for how long! I also noticed that some people were calling Samsung and getting it repaired; however, when I called, I was told that my particular model was not covered by the epidemic warranty. Since other people with the same model got theirs repaired, it appears that the story from Samsung is different from different representatives!!! Most people seem to be having the same problem with Samsungs customer service and have additional problems even IF they actually get it repaired. I bought Samsung in good faith thinking that it was a quality product. I will replace it with another brand and will never buy a Samsung again.

Purchased model #Rs2677TDRS side by side, new, August 2012. The ice-maker didnt work. They replaced every part of fridge before they figured out it was a wire in the door. Last week I just lost all the food in my fridge because it no longer cools. Not only is the number on the Samsung site wrong but their supposed live chat is never available. I held for 45 minutes, lost the call. Called back and said they would have someone call me back within 2 hours... It never happened!! Why would anyone purchase a Samsung product??? Worst service and product ever!!

I should have listened to myself and only buy made with pride in the U.S. products UGH! We bought a SAMSUNG model RS265TDRS for an apartment that we use only on weekends. With 2 people, I hardly think that fridge gets much use but I do stock it with meats and other frozen food. I happen to notice my dog was licking something at the floor at the bottom of the fridge and that is when I noticed the leak was coming from the fridge. I open the freezer and refrigerator and everything is melting. I thought I maybe left the door ajar earlier ? NO, I did not! Who is going to pay for the spoilage now? Is Samsung going to reimburse me for all the food that got wasted? I also got Samsung TVs , Range, Microwave, Dishwasher, the whole works! Am I going to expect those to break down anytime soon?

I bought the refrigerator from Lowes 5/5/09. Lowes delivered six units before finding one with properly spaced doors. The first indication that I might have purchased a defective product became evident when the ice maker malfunctioned. There was a weekly ice jam inside the compartment. If it wasnt cleared, the ice was no longer dispensed. When kept empty the ice maker worked, dumping ice into the door with sound that could only be likened to that heard at a bowling alley. It would cause me to jump out of bed during the night.Soon after the jams appeared, I began to find pieces of white plastic in drinks when the ice dispenser was used. Over a year ago I began to see rust coming through the finish around the water/ice dispenser. I notified Samsung early on when the ice maker was jamming up and was told I needed to schedule an appointment for service. Well, forget that! There is no one who services Samsung where I live. Yes, there is a dealer in a nearby town, but they refused to service what they didnt sell!I was fed up with this unsightly appliance and decided to post my problem on Samsung Appliance USA Facebook page. I received the typical Samsung condescending response, You need to schedule a service call. Read my lips Samsung, there is no service. Ill get rid of this one and try another. I dont recommend buying anything from Samsung just because of the attitude regarding SERVICE! They will not stand behind their product. No, this isnt my first time experiencing a problem with Samsung!

I have struggled with error code with this dishwasher shortly after purchasing it. I owned it for exactly 1 year, 1 month. 1 year warranty was not supported at all. Why do people submit reviews after owning a dishwasher for only 2 months is beyond me. Of course its going to run great! After 1 year they will be singing a different song. Its so quiet now BECAUSE ITS BROKEN!!! I have a 0 decibel DW now, the dishwasher is completely dead. I paid $700 for this dishwasher. I repaired the inlet valve sensor, case assy, and main relay board. I finally gave up after coming across some fine dishwasher from WP on Black Friday. I have a Samsung fridge and its acting up too. I shouldve gotten an extended warranty on both, but it seems, Im reading, that Samsung wont support the products with extended warranties.

We have a Samsung French door with bottom freezer refrigerator manufactured
We have a Samsung French door with bottom freezer refrigerator manufactured in RF263TEAESR. It looks great, nice features, problem is, it was designed without a refrigerant valve to shift cooling between chilled regions, which would allow one side to defrost while the other cools. The lines become blocked with ice, the cooling coils freeze over, cooling becomes more difficult, and the ice builds up to the point where the circulation fan bangs the ice, making a serious noise. We have had the kit put on which is the fix from Samsung. It is designed to shut you up for a couple months and pick up a nice check for their factory authorized dealers. The kit does nothing. The second repair tech came and, for two hours and another $100, tore out the interior back wall, thawed out the lines with hot water, the coils with a heat gun and the vents on the back wall with warm water. He told me it would last no more than a couple months as the insulation gets saturated with water and, rather quickly, everything will refreeze. He was optimistic. Within two weeks it has once again frozen. The fan noise is beginning again and, because Samsung refuses to stand behind their products, this piece of garbage may shortly become the worlds largest paperweight. My advice, STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG products. They have made it obvious standing behind their products is not a priority.

We installed a Samsung SMH9187 over cook top microwave in August 2009. I liked the 5 speed fan. The low speed was quieter than others at low speed. Controls stopped working August 2012 so I replaced membrane touch pad - a 3 year life. Now May 2013 (0.75 years later) and no response from touch pad. I just solved the problem. The problem of lack of response to control pad (a membrane switch) was to separate two sections of the control pad cable. The membrane switch type control panel was a film cable that connects to the circuit board. A 7-wire piece folds back on the cable, causing confusion for the control system on the PC board. The solution was to insert a small rolled up paper tube to separate the two cable sections. To test this I removed the paper tube and clipped the cable pieces tightly together. The controls became unresponsive. Separating the cable sections again restored function. This is a quirk in the Samsung design. It may have been unnecessary to replace the first membrane switch ($19). When the new switch was installed, by chance the two cable pieces were separated just enough to work. Then over time they moved together, initially causing some problems, then later total non-function. This problem may cause one to push hard on the buttons to make it work, possibly damaging the switch.Step by Step Instructions: 1. Unplug microwave for safety; 2. Remove 2 vent cover retaining screws from top front of microwave; 3. Push vent cover left to unhook and remove; 4. Remove screw on top of control panel box; 5. Push control panel box up to unhook and remove. No need to disconnect anything; 6. Insert a rolled up tube of paper 2 to 3 between folded back 7-connector piece and the main cable; 7. Re-install control box and test. Then re-install vent cover.Im amazed at all these problems people are having. One would think Samsung would help, but it seems they hide behind warranty is up so call a repairperson. Our last phone purchase was Nokia, not a Samsung, as I have lost faith in the brand.

Didnt even get 3 years out of my Samsung model DW80J3020 dishwasher that I purchased in 2016 as part of a 4 piece Samsung appliances pkg from Lowes. Ive had Samsung TVs before and really hadnt had any issues. However their supposed convection stove takes 30% longer to cook than a traditional oven, the refrigerator makes popping noises at night loud enough to wake us up, the microwave makes a thumping noise while the interior dish is rotating, and now the dishwasher has no function whatsoever--no lights, nada. I went online to research and couldnt believe the number of posts relating to the same thing. This is it for me and Samsung appliances. Theyre priced to attract a sale but, as is the adage in so many contexts: You get what you pay for.

The noise is so loud you have to leave the room. After several service calls, they replaced it with the Samsung French Door Refrigerator model RF28HFEDBSR, which was a smaller model and nowhere as nice as the other model. This model as well is loud. For over 1 year, 54 telephone phone calls, many emails, several service calls and unpaid days off; I am stuck with this refrigerator. This is the second French Door Samsung fridge I have bought, and it will be the LAST Samsung product EVER to be in my house. The first french door one was perfect. I purchased model # RF263AEWP from Lowes in Dec. 2011. Bought an extended warranty, that was a waste of $. Cant get anyone to come out. There is only one company in the East Bay of San Francisco that will come out my way for warranty work and they have lots of complaints on Yelp. They must all know the problems and dont want to bother? The water pools at the bottom of the fridge, the icemaker works when it wants, frost buildup on the back wall of fridge, etc. Today the final straw was the horrific fan noise that stops when the doors open, and then resumes when the doors are closed. With open concept kitchens, the noise is extremely annoying. I am going to throw in the towel and get a new one, even though I cant afford it. Too bad there is not a designation for negative stars! I cant get to my receipts - the filing cabinet is stuck closed.

I purchased this horrible Samsung refrigerator Model RF263BEABC from a local appliance company on 9/12/16. The sales person was really pushing the Samsung as being the greatest of all brands made. LOL. Then it started making a horrible loud gun-like popping/cracking noises at different times of the day. The popping is so loud it would wake me up at night and my sister said it sounded scary. I called the place I purchased and was told to call Samsung and it was not their problem. So I called and was told it was a normal sound from the temperature in the house adjusting with the refrigerator? It still has not gotten any better so called them back and was told it would get better after the unit gets older? Today I called back to Samsung and informed the of a so called recall notice was sent out secretly in 9/16 to appliance techs about the popping noises and that they need to call for the parts to repair it. Well the man told me that was not true and no such recall was issued. This POS refrigerator was made in MEXICO. Beware of Samsung products. They are of poor quality and they are bunch of LIARS.

I bought a Samsung RF217ACRS refrigerator in Sept of 2010. In short it was a lemon from the day we bought it. The ice maker immediately had to be repaired, then shortly after that replaced. We were also experiencing water leaking into our crisping drawers spoiling our vegetables as it pooled up to 1/2. The repair person that came to replace the ice maker made a guess as to what was happening and did a nonstandard repair in the back panel where the water runs down to fill the ice trays. He fixed it temporarily. The last time our ice maker was replaced was February of 2012 and here we are once again with a broken ice maker and water pooling in our crisping drawers 1.5 years later and Samsung will do nothing for us. I am an interior designer and have been specifying appliances for homes for over 20 years, and will never recommend nor purchase from Samsung again.

I ran for the phone & baking soda, but thankfully the fire died out and nothing was damaged, except the stove! This came directly from the circuit board, and is obvious there was an inferior connection. This stove is 3 yrs old, and until yesterday everything was fine. I was roasting beets in the oven & it was set at 400 degrees. There was no fire in the oven, just shooting up from the back of the stove. I want everyone to be aware of this issue & have posted on Samsung Canadas FB page as well.

I have a $3000.00 5 yr old fridge. Every month, it starts getting extremely loud & we have to unplug it overnight to defrost then plug it back in again. When we called for support, they were no help so we live with the fact that we have to do this monthly to a really expensive refrigerator thats not that old. A few days ago, I was washing the largest shelf (plastic casing & tempered glass shelf) & when I rested the shelf on the counter to dry it, the glass just exploded into countless small shards of glass. I was in bare feet & cut myself trying to get out of the kitchen to get the broom. I called for the glass shelf & after getting told to call the parts dept. I was told that the glass shelf was never available on its own, the whole shelf was $155 part and discontinued so I was referred back to the original number to find out if there is a comparable part from a more current fridge that will work.I was routed to the U.S by the automated bot (I am in Canada) & after a 16min. phone call, I was told to call the same number again & make sure I was routed within Canada this time (how I was to do that, I have no idea). I called again & this time had to wait 30min. for a callback only to find out that they cant do anything except of course sell me another $3000 fridge if I wanted. I am now going to try & get someone to cut me a piece of glass to fit the shelf on my own.... I have had an SE error code for 3 years and also lighting and fan would come on at random while we were sitting on the couch and got so bad we had to unplug it before we left the house. I called Samsung and they sent out a repairman who said it was under a recall and replaced the touch pad which didnt fix it and left with a new keypad installed and doing the same EXACT thing! They came out again to replace the touch pad and he said it was not the touch pad on mine causing the SE error and other problems, it was the circuit main board that they unscrew and reuse on the new keypad. The repairman wanted over $200 to order and come back out and replace to fix the SE error code and lighting and fan issue. I declined the repair because I wasnt sinking another $200 in a $400 Microwave and immediately called Samsung and informed them that the keypad was NOT the part going bad from stove top grease on ALL microwaves, that it is also the circuit board. And the Supervisor said that Samsung would not cover that part because only the keypad is covered. Look folks, I worked at a name brand new car dealership as a technician and I will tell you.... ANY part that is causing the problem with the recall is covered so that the check engine light, etc is resolved and the customer goes away happy. Samsung told me when I told them they were about to lose a customer over this that they are sorry to lose me but they wont fix the recall unless its the EXACT part that lets say 10,000 microwaves have over 100 microwaves have being this electronic main board! I am very very upset over this and do not understand why they will install a part in someones microwave that wont fix the recall. Now the microwave stays on when you open the door so I guess a lawsuit is going to be coming from someone over this.

I am having problems with the oven temperature in my brand new Samsung gas range purchased less than a month ago. When the preheat feature arrives at 350 degrees, it is not that hot in the oven. I have placed an oven thermometer in my oven because of the uneven temperatures and untrue displayed temperatures. When I called the Samsung phone number, the tech told me how to adjust or as he called it recalibrate the temperature. I did try this, however, It still appears that it takes 20 minutes or longer to reach the required temperature. In my previous 30-year-old gas range, the temperature reached the requirement in ten minutes. After reading the comments on this site (I wish I had known about it before purchasing my Samsung gas range), I would have chosen another brand. Now, I am afraid to even try the self cleaning feature.

I bought a Samsung fridge (RFG296HDPN) from Lowes and the dispenser is not working right. It locks itself and then no matter how many times I try, it does not unlock, which means no cold water, crushed ice or whole ice. This panel will stay locked for a week or two and then unlock on its own. The lower drawer or crisper came cracked and one of the shelves where the ice maker is located has a thin line crack also. I work and have to take a full day for a repair and when I called them, they gave me a work order number. If they call back and I dont pick up, they cancel it, so I called in for another one. So I have two work orders, and they told me the repair person is waiting on parts. Now someone named Brittany says that its cosmetic and they do not do cosmetic. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they say I have to wait for an hour. A malfunctioning dispenser for me is not cosmetic, not on a $3,000 refrigerator that will be a year old in August. I have explained this over and over again when I called and when the technicians called now, they asked me if its locked, call then when it is. Well, I have on two occasions and they have not reacted. I wish they would put this on their refrigerators. If panel malfunctions, its cosmetic. I asked if there was a way to reset it and there is none but unplugging it which I have tried and it does not work. It will be two months that I have been trying to fix this. I will never buy another Samsung.

We had our Samsung French Door refrigerator for about six months when the ice maker would not stop making ice when the bucket was full and then get jammed up with ice up at the top of the maker. After clearing the ice and resetting the maker multiple times, I called Samsung. The phone tech was very hard to understand, since he was from India (although he was always polite). He walked me through several resets and then, instead of sending a service tech as I requested, he had me turn the ice maker off for several days and then turn it back on and reset it with the intent of clearing the machine. It did not work. More jamming of ice. Today I called service again and they are sending a service tech with a new ice maker. I will update my experience after the install and a reasonable time to see if it functions correctly. However, I do not feel it was appropriate for them to postpone service when the problem had persisted for almost a month prior to my call and I am not pleased that the ice maker failed when the refrigerator is only six months old.

Bought a Samsung french door fridge a year and a half ago. It had a musty smell in it from the start that we were consistently trying to eliminate. The ice maker is terrible, always jamming, leaking and poor output of ice. After about a year of owning the fridge, part of the cooling system in the fridge section froze over and now the fridge portion does not cool enough to store food in it. The warranty has expired so we are on the hook for repairs for this product which cost $2,000. I have read many reviews of others having this same issue with a Samsung fridge. I would definitely not recommend a Samsung refrigerator. I wish I had done more research on reviews before purchasing.

Just moved into my new house. Came equipped with Samsung microwave she 15th made in 2009. I should have known something was up as it was not plugged in. When plugged in, it spins and goes bonkers. When you can get it to accept numbers, it stops spinning. It melts bowls and never heats evenly. Having it replaced next week but costing me an additional 300 dollars. Sad.

I have made the mistake of purchasing Samsung appliances in the last 2 years. Within the first year, the washing machine broke. After several calls to Samsung, a service technician came to our house to repair the machine. At this time, the technician reported back to Samsung that the washer needed to be replaced. I realized at that point that our situation was looking like the beginning of a nightmare. After several conversations between the service technician and Samsung, our machine was finally replaced. We also purchased a Samsung dishwasher. Within 13 months I had to hire a service technician to replace the thermostat (error 1E, 3E) for 282.50. Now, almost another later, another error OE. I will NEVER buy anything Samsung EVER again!

I have had to replace the fan twice and remove the fan access door and de-ice the fan four times. There are videos on YouTube that show how to fix this issue due to the number of times this happens with this happens. Neighbor has the same refrigerator and has the exact same problem. Has all the bells and whistles and looks nice, only problem is the cooling function, the entire purpose for a refrigerator, works intermittently.

Bought a Samsung RC 23 French door refrigerator about 2 years ago. I attempted to replace the water filter which I have done several time. The new filter was about 1/4 larger than the old filter and had the same part number, DA29. Contacted Samsung. They said the filter manufacturer changed the filter and that I would have to replace the filter housing at my expense as the unit was out of warranty. Neither the dealer or the service center had seen any notification of this. Samsung says since the unit is out of warranty its my problem. So now I have a $250 repair bill on a unit that Samsung knowing put out with defective/obsolete parts. Will not buy Samsung in the future.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator RF263AEBP in 7/2010 from PC Richards. The extend warranty I purchased has ended and the rubber sealant on my doors is just peeling off. I called Samsung to let them know that is not common for a 3 year old refrigerator and was told that the manufacture warranty of one year was over. I told them this is a workmanship issue. You would not expect the rubber sealant to be peeling off for no reason on both my french doors and my freezer. I escalated my call to the Executive Relationship Department and was basically told it was my problem and they could schedule me for an out of warranty appointment that I would have to pay for or I could purchase a Samsung Protection Plus warranty plan that would then cover the repair. I am disgusted with the reply from Samsung. A basically new refrigerator not even four years old should not be coming apart like that especially when its not an exposed area. Im writing this review because I suspect that I am not the only one with this issue.

I purchased the Samsung OTC Microwave SMH9087ST from Sears in 11-2010. The microwave started having problems. About 6 months later, it was showing SE error on the display and nothing would work. I got the troubleshooting info offline and it told how to flip the circuit breaker and reset it. I did that and once in a while, it worked but would always go back to SE error. In 12-2011, it began to randomly turn itself off and on in the middle of the night, and throughout the day. The light would kick on. The fan would turn on and off. It starts beeping. It has gotten so frightening we keep it unplugged now and it wont reset at all now. Sears says it is beyond the warranty when I called in Dec. 2011. I have seen tons of complaints posted on them but no one will do anything. Samsung is in denial and Sears is worthless. I have a Samsung oven that I purchased at the same time and we love it, but I wont be buying any Samsung appliances anymore after the way they have mishandled this.

Updated on 12/25/2019: So the second tech came at a cost of 130.00 to confirm the fridge was not working due to a broken compressor. Waited another week for the official Samsung repairmen with the new compressor. Its up and running again. Three weeks without a fridge as they dragged their feet to R&R a compressor. Not good. Will not buy Samsung again nor recommend it to you.Original Review: Only after the first yr did I hook up the ice maker/ water dispenser. Kitchen remodel was on hold. But immediately it failed by continually icing up. The paint started to blister from rust around the bottom of the cut out. Out of warranty and out of mind by customer support. The handle of the freezer door broke within the first yr and I will give them credit for replacing the door face to repair that. Although it took 7 days to get tech support in Phx AZ. Now at 3 yrs I’m waiting for tech support for a closed unit fix (compressor). Waited 4 days for 1st tech to report that he was unauthorized to fix problem. That appointment was paid in full by Samsung Thank you. Now I’m waiting for another authorized tech company to diagnose the problem (2nd opinion?). That will cost ME $120. Up front. Not included in the compressor warranty. So this tech company is not satisfied with the profit made from Samsung exclusive authorization (the customer) but insists on also touching the owner. Just read online of a class action suit pertaining to ice maker. One week out for that appointment so will update this review then. On another note be aware that cleaning the inside of these appliances is next to impossible (see You Tube by others).

Had a problem with the ice maker in my Samsung fridge (Samsung RFAERS266). Followed all the troubleshooting suggestions in the book, online, at the Samsung site, and on the phone with Samsung tech support. Finally scheduled an appointment for service through Samsung, technician arrived, unplugged the unit, plugged it back in, said that was all that was necessary to reset the computer, and left with my $100.00!! I wrote to Samsung and told them as a courtesy to their customers, this fix should have been somewhere in their literature or on their site. I was contacted by a rep from their customer service department, basically was told sorry, nothing they could do about it. I did request that they would at least publish this information along with their other troubleshooting suggestions. To date, I have not seen this information on their site. Just want to let others know to try this fix before paying for service call. There was NOTHING else wrong with my unit. Somehow the computer had lost its brain and needed to be reset. This happened out of the blue. No power outages precipitated this event. Very frustrating!! This was the third service call in three years on this expensive appliance. Would not buy another.

Thinking about buying a Samsung refrigerator think again, Question is - What is Samsung doing about the frozen drain line issue? Do you think that a customer wants a defective product? I dont want to defrost my system every so-often, plus with the Samsung name youd think they would do something. Im almost 4 hours in working basically for Samsung... BS! Contacted Samsung customer service and get what I expected, nowhere.. The customer service rep said this is a unknown issue, https://www.samsung.com/in/support/home-appliances/resolving-drainage-issues-in-samsung-refrigerators/. So, I sent that link to customer service rep... Then was told its out of warranty. Yea, I know I only have it for 1 1/2 year and have learned that I will be repeating this process about every 1-2 years. Luckily, I am a handy person and do not need a service call. If you have a Samsung refrigerator plan on a defrost cycle every couple years when water pools up under the tray thats a good sign to start eating up the food.. Then plan a weekend to shut it down.... What I learned is to stay to the basics. A simple refrigerator without all the crap, ice trays work fine, the sink for water and 2 doors. Oh and that smug free door. Yeah, wanna see a picture it aint smug free and its dame hard to clean it off too.. Venting over!

I purchased a package deal of appliances on black Friday 2013. We were to be getting our kitchen remodeled in Jan. 2014. The remodeling didnt get started on schedule, our appliances had been delivered to Best Buy and they were in their way so we allowed them to deliver in Feb. 2014. We stored them until the remodeling job was complete. The appliances were installed in July 2014. One month after installation the delicate light was flashing. Im thinking OK maybe its me doing something wrong, it wasnt. I finally called and it was repaired under warranty in Sept. 2014. They replaced the sensor and the PC board. They replaced one, a day later we called and they came back out and replaced the other. It worked fine until about 2-4 weeks ago, the delicate light again is flashing. According to the book that came with it and Samsung employees it is a draining issue. It drains fine, so I dont believe that is the issue. Even though it was installed 8 months ago and repaired 2 Xs already and another repairman coming out this Friday, April 17, 2015, it is no longer under warranty! I believe I too got a lemon, and told them so while on the phone. They did tell me today, if I could prove that it wasnt installed until July 2014 to send them the papers and MAYBE they would do something. I am so aggravated with this dishwasher (DW80F600UTS)!!! Knock on wood, so far my microwave, electric stove and frig work great.
