Never ever buy a Samsung appliance. Had a Samsung oven and the water was boiling and then the oven top turned off and I went to turn the burner on again and sparks and arcing and loud booms and then smoke. It had burned the wires in the back almost clear through to the oven. Samsung repair came out and sent pictures and documentation to Samsung. They continually claim they havent received them. Then another says they have and it is only cosmetic damage. It is over 3 weeks of trying to deal with them. Never, never buy Samsung.

I purchased my 3 door Samsung fridge freezer in June 2021, after 4 weeks I noticed the ice machine wasnt making ice so I contacted Samsung, I managed to reset the ice machine and within 24 hours had ice. Then broke down again. 2 weeks later in July I had an engineer call and replaced the ice machine ...Then last week the ice machine didnt produce any ice at all! I reset, still nothing, unplugged the fridge to hopefully restart and still no ice. Ive contacted Samsung and still waiting for someone to replace my 5 month new icebox. Still no reply 1 week later!

What a friggin joke!!! I bought a Samsung range and fridge to the tune of 3000.00. I had the stove less than a month and while cooking breakfast I cracked a raw egg on the front of the stove and the finish chipped. They wont cover it and now they tell me my warranty is voided because I cracked the egg. I was under the impression Samsung had quality products and stood behind them. NOT SO!!!!

Water is leaking inside the refrigerator and freezing under the produce bins. Then we notice vents on the inside back wall were full of ice. A few weeks we found water on the floor. Then the freezer started frosting and we found ice forming on the outside freezer drawer. We have defrosted it several times and the problem keeps repeating. I see online hundreds of complaints for this. These models should be recalled! Last Samsung product for me!

Said element was burnt out and would order a new one. 3 weeks later repairman calls to tell me that Samsung had discontinued this burner. Discontinued a stove burner and a 2 year old stove.

I have purchased a Samsung refrigerator and freezer (twin type). It started creating problems and was not working properly, just after installing. The problems were: 1) The hand hold could not be fixed on the door of the refrigerator; 2) The water freezing unit does not operate properly. So, I called Sum Service Company, which is the representative of Samsung in Iran, but no one was responsible for the problems! Once again, I had called the Sum service more than 50 times. After one month, Sum Service Company replaced our refrigerator with a new one. But the new one has the same problem - the water freezing unit still does not operate. I tried asking other consumers and I learned that the water freezing unit basically has this problem. Although Samsung has a worldwide reputation, I regret buying this type of Samsung refrigerator. In the last two months, this issue affected me both mentally and financially. I request you to advise the Sum Service Company about my problem as soon as possible. If you need to contact me, my email address is **.

I have had my Samsung 9187 for about 4 years and yesterday the thing just kept beeping and then finally displayed the dreaded SE code. After some quick googling, I found a site which offered a solution. I just finished it up and the microwave works again like new. So here it is: Over time, condensation will make two pieces of the ribbon cable stuck together, causing short circuit. The solution is to separate the pieces and put a piece of paper in between. First you need to access the control panel by unscrewing the top grill of the microwave. After removing the top grill, you will see a screw holding the control panel to the oven. Just unscrew that one and remove the control panel. You will then see the ribbon cable. Inspect whether it is folded and the two sides are stuck. If yes, just separate them and put a piece of paper in-between. Its really that simple, put the paper between the two sides of the ribbon found inside the control panel. Hope this helps.

I paid almost $ 3,000 for a stainless steel refrigerator for my beautiful new kitchen to then have the ice maker never to work properly since the day I purchased it. It’s the 2015 Samsung four door refrigerator. We have done everything to make it work for us. Finally this month we bought another refrigerator, obviously a different name brand. I called Samsung and informed them of what we had to do and would they at least give us some of our money back and we would buy another Samsung, updated of course. No go! Offered us nothing! Bad business Samsung!

What a waste of nearly $900. Samsung has absolutely no customer service when theres a problem(s). Was no help on phone, had an online chat (India, of course) who was flipping through his instructions for code PE and I was told it was a half-load error, whatever and whoever does a half load? I can ditto everything in here, one code after another. Repairman (local) here 2x, replaced main board that didnt work. Did the cleanout cycle a few weeks back and was running well but now code 9E. Looked it upon net, tried the soap thing, NG. Tried banging on left side and running this time, but for how long? If I have to pull it out like another suggestion it WILL NOT GO BACK IN. BTW, the Samsung authorized dealer is 3 hours away! They sent one about 6 months after I got it for rust appearing on the outside of the door and he said rust was not under warranty. This is a stainless steel, inside and out, and theres rust? I agree, NO MORE SAMSUNG! I hope the microwave holds out longer.

We purchased our French Door Refrigerator (Model RF4267HABP) Dec./2011 from Lowes Home Improvement. Within the first year we started noticing rust on the front door near the ice maker and the door. The Lowes repairman told us since it was cosmetic it wasnt covered under warranty. We would have to pay a large amount to replace the front door panel. Why do this if they cant fix the problem that is causing the issue? The repairman basically told us to not use the crushed ice option. WHAT? Why own an ice maker if you cant use the crushed ice? They are now telling me that they havent seen this issue in the database so they dont think its an issue.

Ticket **. My fridge stopped working under warranty and it was diagnosed as a bad compressor & Freon leak. They would fix the compressor the following week, but couldnt fix the Freon leak. So they would return with a new compressor and still not fix the issue? Yes, it was the Samsung policy. I called customer service and complained that I had a client (renter) arriving the following day. After hours on the phone, Samsung relented and offered a full refund. I went out and bought a new fridge. Now a month later, I called asking the status of the refund. They acknowledged they offered a refund, but they rescinded the refund offer stating that I refused the repair. I explained that I did not refuse the repair, I accepted the offer of the refund. After many more hours on the phone, I finally gave up. I do own 2 Samsung refrigerators, 3 televisions and just purchased a new side-by-side washer & dryer. Never again. Their new corporate mantra: Were Samsung - were here to screw with you. I am done with Samsung!

Refrigerator, RF266AB, new on 7/7/09... January 13, 2014, home in evening with $166.00 of groceries; felt thawing freezer unit foods. Had to load perishable purchases. Checked temps. Fridge 54 degrees, freezer 38 degrees. Referred to manual and reset according to instruction. 6:30 next morning, far worse. Unplugged unit and re-tried temp settings. Removed ALL foods and dispersed to all friends and family. Called customer service (HA!) 1/14 a.m, could possibly come out on 1/17. Cust. rep. called and said no service till Tues., 1/21//14! ONE WEEK NOW WITHOUT MAJOR APPLIANCE! Lost most of our foods. EXPENSIVE! Very nice service rep. called and came Mon. eve. 1/20. Very knowledgeable and professional. Did testing. Probably compressor. Ordered immediately. Maybe due Fri., 1/24. TEN days now w/o fridge! I called Samsung. Laticia referred me to problem solving cust. resource. I FINALLY got to Deidre in ECR on 1/22. They were very reluctant to transfer me there. No expediting part delivery. Fri. eve 1/24 Tony spent four hrs.replacing compressor! (from 6p-10p)!! He advised us to call in a.m. on Saturday if any problem. Extremely proficient young man, overworked and tired.TEN days without a fridge is obscene in the 21st century!! Samsung should be ashamed of their ethics and standards. IF I had an infant requiring formula OR a necessary, perishable medication, I was told action might be sooner.... REALLY!? Somehow Im disillusioned with that thought! Maybe they would have sent a styrofoam cooler! Samsung NEEDS better customer response, action, & customer satisfaction. How about more technicians to serve the needs of their presumed good reputation? Deplorable is the best word I can use for their lack of compassion and delays. Oh, and how we imposed on our friends and neighbors! I sent flowers to thank them! This was a MAJOR disruption for ALL... except most of the Samsung staff who probably had cold refrigerators the whole while! For five years I loved and praised this appliance. Yes, verbally. Not so sure now. We own two Samsung TVs. I pray we never have to require service. OH, and by the way... IF we had another service person from anywhere come to our rescue... we would have voided our five year warranty on major parts. Makes one wonder if that was why we had to work so hard and long for the result. Two weeks now with cold circulating air. Pray for us that it lasts, and pray it doesnt happen to YOU!!

Bought this refrigerator (RFG237) a year and a half ago. Had to replace an electronic component within the first 6 months, it was not cooling the frig part, but it was covered under warranty, no cost. Now the back of the frig is frozen, the interior shell is cracked and melted. I have to have the cover replace, the crack filled with something, and a thermostat replaced. Of course its out of warranty and will cost me $250 to fix. This has the making of a real lemon. I called Samsung and they gave me a run around. Bought a side by side refrigerator RS25J500DSR 17 days ago. After waiting the 24 hours for the ice to make, it was evident that there was a problem. The refrigerator only serves two people and one of them is gone most of the day. Its bin has only gotten filled more than a quarter of the way one time when we were out of town for 4 days. We only fill our glasses 1/4 way with ice in an effort not to be without ice entirely. Reported problem to Samsung and a tech called back. Had me to do the tests described in the video then he told me the ice maker was working fine and he was closing my file but would call me the next day to see if resetting it had helped. The next day, no call. Refrigerator was not bothered for 4 hrs. and the bin had approximately 30 pieces of ice. So the next day called Samsung again. Was again told they would send out a repairman. Today, was called by Tech. He stated that he was trained by the engineer and the ice maker in this refrigerator only makes 6 pieces of ice every 90 minutes - 2 hours. A total of 70 pieces of ice in a 24 hr. period. It is not designed to provide very much ice. I cant imagine that anyone would buy a refrigerator and not rely on it for daily ice. He also stated that the bin is not suppose to fill up more than 1/4 way full. Again they have refused to send anyone out because they know their ice maker is practically worthless. I wish I had seen these complaints before I bought it. I did look at the rating for this product and since it had a high rating I thought I would be pleased. However, this is the worst purchase I have made in 60 years. I dont ever plan to buy anything that is Samsung again.

This time it will take 10 days to get the replacement part. We did get the protection plan but the company that fixes the refrigerator never has the parts. Updated on 06/16/2019: Well, hello folks! It’s been a couple of years since I last posted. Still the same old fridge complaints. The repair guy has been here at least 4 more times since 2017. Same repairs, circuit boards, etc. THIS time he said Non-Repairable! But it’s ok, the company said they would send a check for 800 dollars. Seems they subtract the prior repairs from your purchase price!! How clever!! Which means the extended warranty is a joke! Hey!! Guess what! I paid a lot more than $800! I now am so sick of Samsung, that I will never, never again be so foolish. Btw the Samsung microwave has been just as bad. This has got to stop. These companies are not concerned about longevity, just sales. I’m ashamed of them.Original Review: Well, fridge is blowing the circuit breaker again. 2nd time in less than 2 yrs. Took 2 mos. the first time to get it fixed, wonder how long this time? H. H. Gregg in Cincinnati is now out of business, although they wasnt much help in the first place, and ext. warranty is dragging their feet again. All brand new appliances after we got our new house, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer, etc. controls on the stove never have worked right. Anything below 3 on the burners may work, may not. I wish I just had a fridge that cooled, let alone the icemaker working. Supposedly a couple circuit boards went bad the 1st time, and its doing the same thing this time. So we are patiently waiting for a serviceman to call back, meantime living out of a couple of coolers. BUYING SAMSUNG WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT the BIGGEST MISTAKE OF OUR LIVES!!! This company doesnt care about ANYTHING, except selling you a bill of goods! Well, they sold me once, but NEVER again. I thought they were a good company. Apparently not.

I have the bottom freezer, split door fridge model. I bought it solely because the GE Profile I had for over 10 years finally needed replacement (due to some cosmetic damage - no issues involving its functioning) and the Samsung was literally the only model that would fit into the custom space in my kitchen. Within the first months I noticed a lot of water pooling in the bottom below the crisper drawers and then in the crispers themselves. I stopped using them all together and then about a month after the 1 year mark (when the warranty ran out), the left door stopped closing appropriately. In fact, the only way to close it is to manually manipulate the fold and then close the opposite door. I finally got a service appointment, took a day off from work to wait and was told that the part has to be ordered and it will cost me $320!!! What an absolute piece of garbage.

I bought a Samsung dishwasher in January 2017 for my rental property. It had a one year manufacturer warranty and in March 2018 the dishwasher started throwing a fault code and would not run. I had a technician come out. He pulled up the problem and told me that it would cost $500 to put a new sump pump. Which is more than I paid for the washer when I bought it. I contacted Samsung Customer Service about an issue with staining on the inside of the glass on our two month old slide in range. I was told that the issue was not covered by the warranty. That it was normal for air, steam and possible grease particles to flow through the vent above the glass. I was told that it should accumulate on the inside of the glass. I was told that it could be cleaned by a service technician at my expense. I told Samsung if this was a continual problem that it was a design defect. I did not have this problem with either a GE or Frigidaire Range. I was assigned a ticket number. They called a service center in Myrtle Beach. The Service Center refused to come and service the stove even though I would be paying for a service call and the repair. Samsung reassigned this repair to another Service Center. They too refused to make the service call. Samsung has assigned this to a third Service Center. I have not heard from them as of today. If they also refuse to make the repair I have advised Samsung they need to find another approach to solving this problem.Updated on 06/26/2015This is an update on our Samsung range. First the good points: It is nice looking. It functions as intended, that is you can cook on the stove top, you can bake, roast or broil. The bad points: While the self cleaning feature works, it discolored and stained the glass in the oven door. Samsungs position is that is a cosmetic issue and not covered by the warranty. If I want to get rid of the stains I would need to get one of their service contractors to come out, take the door apart and clean the glass. Another option would be to replace the door. The door is poorly designed. It draws air through the grill on the front and exhausts the air through the back. I dont know of any other slide range that does that. We have own two others - a Frigidaire and a GE. Neither had this problem during cleaning.I contacted the service department at Samsung. They were pleasant and helpful in setting up an appointment to clean the glass at my expense. The problem was that the service contractors did not want to clean the glass. Their concern was possible breakage of the glass, which they would have to replace. They also claimed that they could not assure me that the glass would fit tightly once removed. Samsung went through four (4) service contractors. Not one of them wanted to clean the glass. Two of them were willing to replace the door at my expense. The cost of which made it more appealing to buy a new stove. It would not be a Samsung, believe me.

AVOID SAMSUNG FRIDGE... Purchased my fridge 3.5 yrs ago. I did purchase the extended warranty from Home Depot for 3 yrs. The fridge failed four times in each of those three years due to multiple part failures. Lost all food every time. Now at 3.5 years the ice maker and twin cooling fan failed due to known problems of this freezing up. Ice make jambs in the back and freezes. Cooling fan has ice buildup around it and stops pushing air into the fridge to keep food cooled. Have to take apart and melt ice manually every 3-6 weeks. Temp on outside of door still shows its cold inside but it is not. Buy a separate fridge thermometer for inside. I dont know why Samsung has not been sued. Need a class action lawsuit against this manufacturer. Fed up and going to sell this fridge and buy another brand.

They told us they would send a technician but we were never contacted back. We have an extremely busy schedule and I cannot afford to take a day off work so someone can look at my dishwasher. This dishwasher was one of the more expensive dishwashers when we purchased it. We were told it was extremely high quality, better than BOSCH which was in the same price range. We had a Bosch at our old home. It lasted 6 years (may still be running today?) without a problem.

Later Samsung center informed that the required parts are not available. Please advise, what should I do?

DMT300RFW - I purchased this dishwasher in May 2013. In the time since then, it has been inoperable for about 20% of the time. It kept giving heat sensor errors. After three heaters replaced and one harness, I am now being told that they cant fix it. Really a bad product.

I purchased a Samsung RF263BEAESR refrigerator 3 years ago because I thought Id get quality and good service. While the ice maker froze and the service person fixed it by using a steam gun it happened again. Easy fix though, since I have a hair dryer. Last week the handle came off the freezer drawer. I had purchased a store warranty that is still in effect; however when I called for service the representative said handles are not included in the warranty. I called the Authorized Service Company who sent a repairman out charging us $75+tax. He said that this model has no way to replace the handle and the only solution is to replace the whole freezer drawer at a cost of $465 and another service charge which means a total cost of $625. The repairman said older models had an access at the top of the drawer which would allow such a repair, but the new models do not have this handy option. To me this is a design flaw that requires the customer excess cost.

RF18HFENBSR, less than 8 months old randomly stops cooling in both compartments. Temperature display indicates the SET temperature, not the ACTUAL temperature. No error codes (based on info from web searching the problem). If I unplug it, wait two minutes, then plug it back, the temperature displays will update to show ACTUAL temperature and unit MIGHT start cooling again. First tech determined it was the electrical outlet, so I moved it to another outlet. Since it started working, they decided the case was closed. When unit stop again, I called again. Samsung phone chat support says the unit needs support, but I cant get support to come out in less than a week. Meanwhile I have no refrigerator. According to my web research, this is a known problem with no known fix. Its been a total of three weeks.

Whenever we were in the market to replace our appliances, I always looked to Samsung first. We have 4 Samsung TVs, a refrigerator, 4 smartphones, Blu-Ray player and a washing machine and we love them all. That was until I had the misfortune of purchasing an over the range microwave. Here youve read all the stories about these microwaves and their failure on sensor errors just after the warranty expires. Its a poorly designed product that fails due to the humidity created when cooking on the stove. The only thing worse than the design of the product is Samsungs support for this inferior product.I havent replaced the unit yet because Im afraid the next unit I purchase (Hint: not a Samsung product) will encounter the same problems. I have a countertop microwave someone gave me so I dont really need an over the range model. But when I do the kitchen remodel, Im not sure what to put in its place. Obviously I need some sort of vent so thats where my research now takes me.

My french door refrigerator from Samsung has to be the worst product we have ever purchased. We have to defrost this thing every other month. The repair company I had come out said he really couldnt do anything. I paid too much money for this refrigerator to throw it out but I really hate this refrigerator. We have purchased other Samsung products but I think they need to get out of the appliance business and stick to electronic.

I bought my Samsung refrigerator in Aug 2013. The soda stream compartment failed in the first 6 months and was replaced under warranty. A year later, the fan in the back of the fridge made loud noises. It was covered with ice so the repairman replaced the entire panel. A year after that, it froze again and the repairman pulled it out and thawed it with a hairdryer. This continued every year. Now that I am in year 5, the main display is now inoperable and beeps continuously. The freezer is 48 degrees and the fridge is at 43. It is not cooling at all. Repairman out today said the main panel needs to be replaced. He got it running, but now the compressor sounds like a helicopter. I would never expect this amount of aggravation from a quality brand. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!!! We have decided to buy another brand after 5 years. You would think it would have lasted at least 15.Updated on 08/16/2018: I called Samsung on Aug 3 and was told since my fridge was just under 5 years old, the warranty on the electronics (power board) and compressor would be covered. I submitted all the requested information on their website on Aug 6. After almost 2 weeks (freezer at 62 degrees), a Samsung repair tech came out. He said its not covered under warranty. This is ridiculous to spend $3k on a refrigerator only to have it completely die in under 5 years. I will NEVER buy another Samsung. Im so disappointed.

We purchase a Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator RS265TD less than two years ago. The whole unit shut down today and we lost most of our food. A technician came out, said the control board was gone and would have to be replaced for $411! Tried to get through to Samsung with no luck. The technician said Samsung was the worst units that he works on. When we first got the refrigerator almost 2 years ago it took them almost 3 weeks to get the ice maker tubes attached. This is unacceptable. These appliances should last at least 10 years with no problems. We will never purchase a Samsung again.

We renovated our entire kitchen in Samsung appliances. Our $3,300.00 4-door flex refrigerator lasted 2.5 years and my wife and I have been fighting with customer service (CS), since November 2017, to get them to honor their warranty. CS initially sent an authorized service person who tried to fix it and recharged the refrigerant. He stated that if this didnt fix the issue, since it was a sealed system, it is un-repairable. It worked for approximately 2 months and the issue returned. This points to a slow leak in the sealed system which has a 5 yr part/labor warranty. Next time we called they claimed they couldnt issue another ticket because our serial number had a refund already issued against it, though the refund wasnt in our name or sent to us. We feel their error is not our problem and shouldnt delay our warranty service request. They wouldnt budge.Since then weve heard nothing but excuses and well call you in a week. Another CS rep claimed the vendor (Home Depot) must have shipped a unit that had been previously returned (laughable), Home Depot doesnt stock the appliances theyre shipped straight from Samsung. We both actually heard these claims on our phone. Every time you call you have to re-explain the issue to them and Im sure they keep a file on your case. Now theyre asking me to remove the label from the appliance and send a picture to them (doesnt that invalidate the warranty?). This has been the most frustrating experience weve ever had. Youd think such a big company would want their name to stand out in a positive light. WE ARE NEVER BUYING ANOTHER SAMSUNG APPLIANCE AGAIN. Im contacting my states Attorney Generals office and the FTC about our issue. We may not be able to get financial relief but, if it is determined that what theyre doing is illegal, they will spend money in legal fees and fines. There are state and federal consumer laws regarding warranties. I hope this word gets out so maybe theyll change their ways. Best to document all contacts with them to show how they treat you. Their service techs dont give paperwork so you gotta keep all emails, texts msg, phone records to present your case.

A small plastic bracket that supports the upper ice maker in my french door
A small plastic bracket that supports the upper ice maker in my french door refrigerator (RF 323TEDBSR) broke. I have spent more than two months with Samsungs official parts department, J & J International, Inc. trying to obtain the part. Initially they told me that the part I needed was the assembly case and auger motor. I couldnt believe it but they swore it was an integrated part. I ordered it to the tune of $175. When it arrived I took it out and it was immediately clear that it was the wrong part. So I called and received a Return Authorization number. I was told that I would receive a shipping label by email. After a week, I called again and was told that it hadnt come to me because they only make these labels up on Wednesdays! I was instructed to wait a few more days. I did, no label. I called again and was told that they had misspelled my email address and would send it again within the hour. I waited two days and contacted on-line customer service. They also told me that my email was misspelled (what, again?) that they had spelled office with two Is instead of two fs. Customer service told me that they had alerted the proper person to the problem. When I asked for that persons information, I was told that it doesnt speak to the public. Nice!Oh, the reason they authorized the return is that the bracket, which is held in place by three small screws is a non-serviceable part because it was installed before the case was foamed in for insulation. They might as well have told me that there was no such part in my refrigerator. They think that they can give you an stupid excuse. Actually, it is a piece of plastic, the size of my hand, that weighs about two ounces. Worth two dollars at most but Id gladly pay $20 because, without it, I have no upper ice maker. I have been in touch with Samsungs Executive Offices to no avail. A company that doesnt support its own products should be forced out of business. I bought this refrigerator from Lowes. I think they should consider the effect on their customers by continuing to advertise and sell this garbage. No more for me.

Like so many reviewers, we had the same problem with the twin cooling system. We bought the refrigerator from Lowes in October of 2009 on sale. Up until this problem, we were very happy with the refrigerator. Several months ago, the fridge started to make a lot of noise. What the...? Then, I noticed that our milk went bad, before the expiration date. So, my husband used an instant thermometer (therma pen) and our milk was at 58 degrees. Samsung tech support tried to troubleshoot, and blamed our thermometer as the problem! Really? My husband did a lot of internet research, and discovered a video on YouTube on how to fix the problem. Apparently, theres a problem with the coil in the twin cooling area that heats up any ice build-up (Im not mechanic/engineer, so Im explaining as simplified as I can). We emptied the refrigerator and he opened up the twin cooler. There was so much ice build up inside and the motor was frozen solid! No wonder it quit cooling! This is not covered under warranty (ours had expired anyway, though we bought an extended warranty). Using a blow dryer, he patiently thawed out the area and the tube and inserted a copper wire (that the YouTube video said would fix the problem). When he put all the parts back in, the motor started up again! Lets just hope this fix is what the YouTuber swears works. I sure hope so, or were going to have bought another refrigerator. Im happy with our Samsung laptops and TVs, but never again would I buy a Samsung refrigerator! Ill try and update if this is a permanent fix, but its worth a try.

We purchased the Samsung 24CF counter-depth side-by-side refrigerator in December of 2013 from Pacific Sales in Chatsworth, CA. The unit cost $3149 before tax and we paid an additional $350 for an extended 5 year warranty. Within 6 months, several of the side shelves, which theyd demonstrated as being intended to hold gallons of milk, had cracked or were broken to the point they hung of the door. This was true even of the shelves we used only to hold condiments and smaller, lighter items. Within 13 months, every single door shelf was cracked or broken and the plastic surrounds on the main shelves had cracked as well. The warranty company said the shelves were not covered and Samsungs customer service department said they could not do anything as it was over 12 months since purchase. All they would do was provide me with a number to call so that I could pay for the new interior shelves myself. Given the price of this refrigerator, the quality is really inferior. We had our previous Kitchen Aid refrigerator for over 18 years and nothing inside was broken or cracked when we replaced it. DONT BUY A SAMSUNG.

I spent big money on new kitchen upgrades - all Samsung (Fridge, dishwasher, Microwave, high-end range). A few months after using the range, the first knob broke. It LOOKED like stainless, same as the range itself, its plastic. Long story short, I had to replace ALL of the knobs in a short time. They MELT or crack, and when you need new ones, Samsung wants FIFTY BUCKS EACH for a piece of garbage plastic. Their customer service department couldnt give a darn (Im pretty sure I was speaking to someone in the Philippines with no power to help me.) I found copies online for $7.50 each, which I am waiting to arrive. Hopefully, they will fit at a fraction of the Samsung price. Our 2-yr old RF197 has failed 4 times. At the first failure, at the one year point of ownership (the minute the warranty expired) and after a lot of time spent badgering Samsung, they agreed to pay for fixing the ice-backing up on the interior back, and stopping the water collecting on the fridge floor. But the repair didnt work. Again back to badgering Samsung - a terrible, terrible company. I hear there is a class action lawsuit; we plan to get in on that now. Also our atty. is pressing Samsung corporate starting today. Outrageous, because it has broken again! We paid $1300 for this junk in 2011! Recently, we arranged with them to receive a prorated refund to discard/return to them this lemon. They agreed. Yesterday, a new, very rude, sweet-voiced stumbling employee in the exec office, reading off a sheet that had nothing to do with this case said, Not approved even though we have sent the receipt properly and were told (and it is recorded on our ans. machine) that they were in the process of arranging the refund. Avoid this company! We plan - and please all of you do the same - to report to BBB and to our state Attorney General Dept of Consumer Affairs. This could be rampant fraud by Samsung and needs to be investigated. Tell everyone you know, to exert widespread political pressure. When in the store, tell others looking to buy to avoid Samsung. Check your state: many states require a better warranty than that granted by Samsungs warranty and you may have more rights than that limited Samsung warranty. Best of luck to everyone. What a racket. Our previous 2 refrigerators lasted 25 years with not one repair! We will post what we find out.

I purchased a Samsung Bottom Freezer #RB215LABP in May 2009. Within a year, I noticed underneath the fresh produced bins there was accumulated water underneath both bins and semi-frozen. I cleaned it up and thought nothing of it. Consulted the owners manual but it failed to mention that. I adjusted the temperature but did not notice any other on-going issues.Fall 2013, I noticed the ice maker stopped working and my frozen foods were no longer frozen. Just my luck, I realized my warranty expired 4 months ago. Out of pocket payment to local service guy who informed me that its a manufacturer’s defect. The computer board for the freezer is defective. There are also issues with a loss of freon, compressor is blocked and defrost issue. Despite all of these problems, there is nothing wrong with the ice maker - it just cant make ice due to the other issues. And if they were not authorized, we didnt know it at the time with the vendor at purchase time or with Samsung when we gave them the registration information for the warranty. After 6 months of having it, the ice maker stop working. Well after receiving so, my extended warranty request from Samsung Protection Plus department, I finally accepted the partial payment terms for 4 payments on 12/9/14. On 3/5/15 we realized the 2 top boxes were not getting cool. Called the extended warranty and they had us call a authorized repair company to come out. The repair guy worked on it for about 1 hour and advises he would come back to see if the refrigerator temp would go down as it had been at 48, spoiling all things in the refrigerator. The repair came back around 3 and advises that he will have to call warranty because the refrigerator had to be replaced because it cant be repaired in USA and to allow 48 hours for the report to show since it was on a Friday, and was given a 700 which was to be a Urgent code #. We called to just make sure every had our information on 3/6/15.We received several calls, there we faxed and emailed receipts of purchase and was told to check back on Monday the 9th. My husband spoke to 7 different people and received 4 different ticket #s from 3/9 to 3/11. When 3 of the persons stated we would receive a refund and that someone would call back with details after verify proof of purchase 3 times. My husband called around 6 pm central time and spoke to another rep from Samsung who stated she didnt see a refund, she need to do another verification and that after reviewing the account, because we didnt buy it from a authorized dealer, they cant honor anything very RUDELY. I refused an out of pocket service call. Samsung called back 1 wk later asked about any personal or property damage & asked if I would want someone to come out free of charge to repair or replace (if irreparable). After 3 repair visits (not counting the 4 appts that were cancelled/rescheduled after the 2 hr wait EACH TIME). Samsung stated the repair guy had to come out again to troubleshoot w/ a Samsung engineer on the phone. I explained that the repair guy did that @ the last appt, Samsung stated there was no record of it. I also stated that I was aware of the recall involving buttons on the panel sticking. They said I had to make another appt. I refused, spoke to another 2 managers & after 55 min on the phone was offered $130 voucher/check. I was told that was what they could offer w depreciation on the microwave for the last 2 yrs. AND that the microwave costs about $190, so it wasnt so bad. The microwave costs $240 plus. My Samsung refrigerator is less than two years old and the ice maker doesnt work. We have done all the recommended fixes several times. Both Best Buy and Samsung will not do anything to help. Reliable appliance repairmen wont work on Samsung appliances and say they cant even get parts. Also the interior design isnt very good. RF266ABPN - Wrote a complaint on here in August 2013 about our Samsung 2-door fridge which kept pooling water and the back inside kept freezing with frost. We spent so much time always removing items, defrosting, scooping out water, etc. etc. UPDATE!! Finally hubby was able to fix problem himself. We have had no problems for 2+ years. He turned off energy saver mode and put paper clips in the drain tubes located at the bottom back of fridge to keep them open. They are used as spacers so probably any similar item would work. We are still not sure if the energy saver turnoff or paper clips did the trick but... after countless repairman and useless Samsung, just wanted to report what worked for us! No problems for 2+ years! I weirdly got a reminder about this review so came here and saw still horrific reviews... Hope this helps at least one person!Updated on 08/11/2018: We officially gave up on this refrigerator and brand in 2016. Our original problem (freezing/icing over) came back in full force, freezing, motoring, water pooling, even after my husband was able to temporarily fix it. Bottomline: We took it to the dump, This model is severely flawed.

This was covered by Samsungs factory warranty, (covered for 5 years). After contacting Samsung they had 3 techs come out over the course of 3 weeks trying to repair it. They could not and said we would receive a new unit in 48 hours. After no contact in 48 hrs. I called and they had to do the paperwork. After calling several times for updates. They decided to refund our money because they did not have the same unit. It has been over a month since the unit stopped working. We are now waiting for our refund. They say it takes between 7 to 14 days but the Samsung Reps. say thats not true. They wait the full 14 days to refund the money. So if your fridge stops working please check your Warranty that comes with the fridge even if you dont have a store warranty. The warranty information is in your refrigerator manual. The number for Samsung is on the back of the manual or your decal inside of your fridge.

On Oct 12 of this year I bought a Samsung Self-Cleaning Slide in Convection Range Model Number NX58H9500WS. I normally keep it clean manually, but decided to try the self clean option a week ago. After it heated up, black noxious smoke was billowing out of the oven. It was setting off all my smoke alarm, and spreading black soot everywhere. I shut down the machine from the electric junction and opened all the windows. I believe if I hadnt thought quickly it would have set fire to my apartment. I called Samsung, and they came here and inspected the machine, and voided the warranty. How does one void a warranty on a machine that was obviously defective, and could have caused a house fire? I went to the place I purchased the machine, because I had a warranty with them. They came, and they verified the stove had gone on fire. The company I purchased this from is taking care of the issue that Samsung should have taken care of. This is reprehensible on the part of Samsung Customer Service. We are now allowed to return said item to the store and will be picking out another range. You can guess it will NOT be a Samsung.

I am finding all Samsung products are crappy made. I bought a fridge little over yr ago and ice maker stopped working within 2 months. Had tech I paid for come out look at it, claimed fixed problems. Month later ice maker froze up, stopped working. Called Samsung, they send a tech which they want me to pay for while under warranty. They act like they were doing me a favor by paying for it. 2 weeks later it has stopped again, whole unit frozen solid. I called and yet again they will not paid to have it looked at. Why should I pay another 2-3 hundred dollars on top of over $2000 spent to buy it. Reading all the reviews on here. Action should be taken against Samsung to make the products work as intended just like auto makers do recall their junk and make them fix the problems.

We purchased a set of Samsung appliances less than two years ago. In that time period, the dishwasher had to be replaced after the service company sent out by Samsung made numerous trips. The oven heating element has now burned in to two parts and the oven no longer works. The freezer drawer broke, and will no longer stay in the brackets. We expected more and couldnt be more disappointed. The service companies that Samsung has contracted with are just as disappointing. They have to make numerous trips, dont answer the phone or return calls, and reschedule on the date of the appointment (after you have taken off work). We have never been so disappointed in a product. We will never buy Samsung ANYTHING again!

Price was over $300.00 and this appears to be a very common issue at around the 18th month of usage mark per the complaints online I have read. Of course, I called the company and they state, Too bad, it is out of warranty (12 months). The company needs to look at the business they are losing over what could be a small fix. I will no longer purchase any Samsung products. I was a dedicated Samsung customer because the quality was there in the past. In this economy, you would think that a company would value the customers they have and when they see a defect like this, they should address it, not just brush it off. Samsung needs to look at Tylenol for an example of going above and beyond for its customers. So with that said, I have a $350 microwave that lasted less than 2.5 years so maybe I will just purchase a cheap microwave every year. At least, I will get a new one each year and may be more cost effective,

Our first Samsung was bought November 2009. It lasted one day before the temperature was 65 degree in refrigerator. Since Lowes had hauled our old refrigerator off this created a problem. They found another to replace it until our new one could arrive. When the new one arrived it had a heavy dent in the door. Lowes brought two more and they were both dented. We decided to keep the first replacement, but now the fast freeze keeps engaging and the alarm continuously beeps. The closest repair shop that you authorize is in Rolla Mo 35 miles away. I have had a lot of people tell me STAY AWAY from this service co. They never show up when they are supposed to and then charge ridiculous prices. This has been a nightmare from day one. After Lowes bringing 4 refrigerators, and only the first replacement being the one that worked or wasnt dented it would be nice if Lowes/Samsung would replace this piece of trash. Also we have a repair service T&C appliance service here in Steelville Mo. Why cant they be one of your authorized repairmen? ** from T&C has looked on internet trying to find a resolution to our problem. He has contacted Samsung but since hes not an authorized repairman your company will not work with him. I would like to continue business with Samsung, but I need more help from your end.

Bought this Samsung dishwasher DW80F800UWS only 6 months ago and have had to call 3 times for servicing for various issues. The first was a broken door latch, second was noises from the pump and not cleaning correctly and finally it stopped draining. For the cost of this dishwasher, there are way too many issues. I will say that Samsung does send a tech out promptly but that doesnt alleviate the frustration of having to call them so many times for repairs in such a short time frame. Bought the refrigerator (Samsung Model RS2556SH) on 10/15/2004 and, except for the ice maker and the fact that its a bit noisy, it has worked well ever since it was installed. While the ice maker does make ice, there is usually a mixture of crushed and cubed ice and the selection setting doesnt make much difference. Almost impossible to remove ice bin on ice maker when it freezes up. Have had it repaired twice for hefty service fees. I have contacted Samsung several times and they have never responded. I am extremely disappointed with this manufacturer.

Just before a year of having the Samsung Glass top stove NE595R0ABSR/AA, the enamel in the bottom of the stove started to crack. I didnt notice at first but the cracks were getting larger and showing in different areas of the bottom of the stove. When I purchased my home, I purchased almost all Samsung appliances... After this, I will never buy anything made by Samsung... not even a phone nor TV. Clearly the service rep that came out and agreed that this issue is a defect. I attempted to address the issue with Samsung, but days after sending pictures and receipts, they stated the stove was not under warranty and they would not cover it. To make things worse, I have extended warranty through Asurion (Home Depot warranty) and they stated its something that should be covered by the manufacturer. So, I have a $700 stove where no one want to own up to being the responsible party for coverage.

Purchased a Samsung Gas Range from Home Depot on June 28, 2015. We had the range approximately 6 weeks and the oven in the range wouldnt heat above 150 degrees. We contacted Samsung and asked for a repair. Service technician came out and replaced the circuit board with what I believe was a refurbished board. Not long after this repair we contacted Home Depot and Samsung to let them know that the oven was still not heating correctly. The oven was not reaching the selected cooking temperature. We told Home Depot and the Samsung Customer service we wanted the oven replaced. Home Depot said we had to deal with Samsung. A service technician from Samsung came out again and told us that the oven is calibrated to reach the temperature that we select. In other words, we had to set the oven temp. to 375 for it to heat to 350?We again complained to Home Depot and Samsung and nothing was done to replace the oven, the oven purchased was an $800 oven. Now the oven will not heat past 150 degrees again. We contacted Samsung and they want us to pay for the repair. I explained that the oven never worked as it should from the beginning. Samsung said, Your warranty is up. I said the oven failed on warranty and never worked correctly from day one. We are experiencing the same problem over and over with the oven. I have contacted Samsung at least 4 times and I am getting a run-around. The case Number/Ref Number is **. It is obvious that the oven was a lemon and should have been replaced. If this oven has failed and never worked correctly this problem will continue. This oven should have been replaced. I have contacted Samsung and they will not offer any assistance. The stove is an inferior product. I wish I would have read the reviews for Samsung Gas Ranges. I would not have purchased.

On top of their products being junk they had a promotion going on at the time I bought the appliance which I purchased all four at once. Thirty-two hundred dollars worth to mail in recipes and we would receive a free 32 inch Samsung tv. I received a letter back stating that we did not meet the criteria to receive the television. I checked the circuit breakers and all were fine. I checked the manual and unplugged the unit, waited a minute and plugged it in but no luck - still dead. I called customer relations and Gerardo informed me that the unit was out of warranty and he could schedule a repair at my cost. I informed him that this was our first Samsung appliance and having it break just over 2 years when we only warm up leftovers is not acceptable. I told him that we had a LItton counter top microwave which we had for over 20 years without any problems and sold it when we purchased this unit. He checked for any recalls and said that there were no issues similar to mine and I would have to have it repaired. I told him this would be the first and last Samsung product I will ever buy and I will tell my friend and relatives not to buy this crap. I, too, checked Consumer Reports prior to buying this unit just like one of the posters here and bought it because they gave it a good rating. I will not trust them anymore.

We installed model # ME179KFETSR/AA in our remodeled kitchen in November of 2013. In February of 2014, 3 months later, the Microwave went bonkers (as noted in other complaints) and the control had to be replaced. It was under warranty, so there was no charge, just inconvenience. The repairman told me I should run the fan when cooking ANYTHING on my stove, even warming up canned vegetables. I took his advice and used the fan even though it is very loud. Unfortunately, this did not prevent the need for ANOTHER service call for the same problem in April of 2014. The problem has reoccurred for the third time and the microwave is now out of warranty. Even though the micro is less than a year and a half old, Samsung is only willing to give me the part at no charge, which will probably only cost them $30.00. Wow, what exceptional service. They MUST know the micro has a design flaw. The repair has not yet been performed, so Im not sure how much this is going to cost me, besides my loyalty to Samsung.

I had heard about their poor customer service thru a friend of mine that had purchased a refrigerator for her retired parents. Same problem as Ashok of San Diego - the water dispenser on our Samsung refrigerator turned itself on around 2am and kept running, flooding our kitchen. The onboard computer threw error code PC ER and shut down the entire machine (except for closing the water valve), not even the light inside would go on when we opened the door. It made a huge mess. We now know from reading this board and from several other sources that there have been numerous problems with ice/water dispensers across many Samsung models. Our model # is RSG257AARS and the unit is just 2 months out of its 1 year warranty. We contacted @SamsungSupport via Twitter. They were polite but will do nothing to stand behind their product. Granted we just missed the warranty period but this is an established, well documented, and widespread problem, an obvious design/manufacturing defect (just read this board!). Rhetorically, who ever heard of a water dispenser turning itself on overnight and causing a flood? Is that not egregiously unacceptable for a one year and two month old, very expensive appliance? Our trusted, local appliance repair guy says it would cost $600 to fix, as the PC ER code represents a massive electronics failure. He doesnt even want to tackle the job at all because he thinks that even with replacement parts installed, its very likely to reoccur due to the low quality of Samsung components, and he doesnt want to be responsible. He researched and found that Samsung has huge problems with its water/ice makers. We purchased the fridge at Lowes, thinking we were getting a good price relative to competitors products, given the features and sleek (looking) design. You get what you pay for, folks. Dont fall for the pretty face. I will never, ever buy another Samsung appliance and I will continue to be vocal about my experience in hope that I can persuade others to avoid doing so also.

Samsung 4-door fridges ice maker is junk. $2,000 Samsung fridge breaks after 2-1/2 years! I had a Maytag for 22 years and it never was serviced and was still running fine when I retired it for peace of mind. Enter Samsung - so much for peace of mind. Ice maker began leaking before a year was up. Kept removing ice buildup. But at 2-1/2 years, the ice maker quit working. Motor was bad. Water sprayed around tray from supply hose encased in ice. Locked ice tray in place, so couldnt remove. Stopped producing ice. Service rep was good (no complaint), but cost quoted at $300 for service call and new motor. Water supply hose issue cant be resolved. Obviously, lots of ice maker issues posted here. Shame on Samsung. Cant make ice; cant make phones.

I just purchased all new Samsung kitchen appliances. The dishwasher was broken. It ran, but would not turn off even when I opened the door. I had to turn off circuit breaker. Called Lowes, and they replaced with a new one. They were great about it as I said I did not intend on having to pay my contractor a second time to install it, they completed the installation. Now it runs, but does not dry dishes. I purchased the rinse agent as I was advised, used it, still does not dry dishes. Today I used the sanitize option which was suggested in manual to get dishes dry...still not dry. I also have a very bad smell coming from dishwasher when there are no dirty dishes in it. It smells like garbage. So today I called Lowes and spoke to my salesman. I am NOT going to re-purchase a Samsung. He is going to have his department manager call me tomorrow. Again, I dont want to pay installation, but either way I am so disappointed. So far I am happy with refrigerator, stove, and microwave, but have only had them two weeks.

We thought that Samsung would be a reputable manufacturer when we decided to purchase a new stove. What a huge mistake in thinking that was!!! We had the smooth top stove model NE595RO for less than one month. I was cooking on it and my pot became stuck to the element. I could not get it off. So I let it cool down and then was able to remove my pot. (I always wipe my pots off on the bottom before cooking to ensure nothing will cause it to stick to the element area). A piece of the smooth top actually stuck to the pot and came off and made a dime-sized gouge in the smooth top. Was I ever mad. I had a KitchenAid smooth top for over 21 years and it looked as good as the day I had bought it. It was the oven that died in my KitchenAid and being so old we decided to get a new one rather than start to repair the old one. Plus the Samsung was a lot cheaper than many other brands. You only get what you pay for is the correct rule. I phoned Samsung and with the first call was told to send in the pictures and explanation which I did. I was told someone would contact me within 48 hours. One week later after no call, I phoned them back and I had to now deal with a very rude moron on the phone who would not tell me how to contact the supervisors at Samsung. Needless to say I had bought the extended warranty but the cook top should be covered for one year and it was only one month old when this fiasco happened. I did receive an email from Samsung stating it was a cosmetic issue made by the customer and they would not repair it. Samsung will use every excuse under the sun to lay the blame on the customer when in fact they have shoddy products and the most heinous customer service. This was our first and last Samsung purchase. Had we known then what we know now, we would have never bought a Samsung stove. BEWARE of Samsung products.
