Our Samsung side-by-side with bottom freezer has stopped working for the second time in two years. The first failure was the freezer fan, repaired under warranty. After second year, same problem - noisy fan and temperature not holding. Same repairman said the motherboards go out, and he cant get a new OEM board from Samsung - they are back ordered until 2015! We bought one from Sears, refurbished, and it doesnt work. Repair company says nothing they can do. My 15-year-old garage fridge is now back in business. It is amazing to me that a world-wide branded company like Samsung would allow this to happen. Here is my response: I wont buy any other Samsung products. I need a new smartphone - Samsung? No way.

This is the second French Door Samsung fridge I have bought, and it will be the LAST Samsung product EVER to be in my house. The first french door one was perfect. I purchased model # RF263AEWP from Lowes in Dec. 2011. Bought an extended warranty, that was a waste of $. Cant get anyone to come out. There is only one company in the East Bay of San Francisco that will come out my way for warranty work and they have lots of complaints on Yelp. They must all know the problems and dont want to bother? The water pools at the bottom of the fridge, the icemaker works when it wants, frost buildup on the back wall of fridge, etc. Today the final straw was the horrific fan noise that stops when the doors open, and then resumes when the doors are closed. With open concept kitchens, the noise is extremely annoying. I am going to throw in the towel and get a new one, even though I cant afford it. Too bad there is not a designation for negative stars! I cant get to my receipts - the filing cabinet is stuck closed.

I bought my refrigerator at Home Depot. It is a Samsung. I have had it for about 5 years. Just recently the hose to the Ice Maker sprung a leak and filled my kitchen floor with water! I have tried unsuccessfully to fix it. I think I will have to go to Home Depot and buy a kit with all new parts and try again to fix it!

We have a new GAS Samsung slide in range. After we did self cleaning the range stopped working, dead, no lights and the burners would not light and door locked. Tech came out, replaced all items, still did not fix the range. He stated it is not repairable and from the number of calls, I have had no help from Samsung and no customer service. They do not want to help the consumer. We still have the non working range and have not been contacted by Samsung. Never buy one of their product or you will be in the same mess, out the $$$ and with a dead unit that still need to be replace. 5,000.00 in the hole.

French door refrigerator. The worst hunk of junk second fridge in 5 years. First ice maker fan was replaced twice. Then the icing started in ice maker has to be cleaned every 2 weeks. Then behind panel in fridge loud fan noise. Service man came out 4 times to clean ice build up and replace heat element in drain. Well can you believe it did not work. So now I get to empty the fridge every 3 weeks, take the panel off to clean all the ice out around the fan and build up on the lines. The sad part is they know all about these problems and do nothing. Would never buy another Samsung again. Thank you Samsung for giving me some extra work to do every month.

This refrigerator - which is gorgeous - stopped working exactly 45 days after installation. A repair service sent by Samsung said it was repairable but it was too a job for them and recommended replacing it. Despite this, Samsung will not stand by their product and they refuse to replace the refrigerator. We are now approaching THREE weeks of no refrigerator. Samsung customer service is a nightmare. They should be ashamed - so disappointing. We strongly recommend NOT purchasing through Samsung and instead use a more reputable company who will ultimately stand by the product and the consumer.

I purchased a new Samsung microwave/convection oven to mount over my stove
I purchased a new Samsung microwave/convection oven to mount over my stove about a year and a half ago. Within a month, the touch pad started acting up. Fan and light would come on by themselves. Touch panel would not work. Samsung, via Lowes, was notified, and had the touch pad replaced twice in the next 6 months. The last time, the service technician said that Samsung was aware that particular style of touch panel had a problem in areas where a lot of steam or moisture could be generated. If a microwave over a stove doesnt see a lot of steam, I dont know what will! So, it kept going out. They finally replaced the entire unit about 5 months ago. Now that one is acting up the same way. Wake up in the morning and the stove light and exhaust fan are running on high, and the touch panel is non-responsive. I have to go to the basement and throw the breaker to reset it. This is very aggravating. I am very dissatisfied, and think Samsung should give me a completely new model that works. I will never buy another Samsung microwave oven.

Dont ever buy a Samsung fridge. We have had our French door refrigerator for about a year. It is a 2015 make and model. The freezer never shuts correctly, the ice maker sucks but today and recently over the past week it hasnt been cooling correctly even though the temp says it was okay. We unplugged it and restarted it and it gave us a more accurate reading of 50 instead of 34. After hours of trying to get it took work and numerous websites later we figured out that its not defrosting even though it is supposed to defrost itself. Come to find out this happens a lot with Samsung. We had to manually take off the back of the fridge and manually defrost it with a hairdryer. This is the WORST experience I have ever had. I will never buy Samsung again!!!

This refrigerator was installed by the RV Company in our RV. After one trip, the refrigerator stopped cooling. I called Samsung and got nothing but a run around. It seems that there is not a repairman anywhere in our area. We now have a Refrigerator that wont cool and was only used two weeks. We dont have a receipt for this refrigerator because it was installed in the RV by the manufacturer. Samsung has a problem understanding that when you buy an RV, you dont get receipts for every item installed in them. Buyer be aware that Samsung supposedly does there on repair work but there may not be a service center in your area!!

Purchased all new Samsung appliances for our kitchen. The Refrigerator failed within a less than a year. The dishwasher failed within a year and now has failed again. The response and service is very poor - that is saying kindly. I will not purchase another Samsung product ever again in my lifetime and will be telling as many other people to do the same. Canada should not allow any company to sell products to consumers in Canada who are not willing to have an office within Canada to assist those consumers. Shame on Samsung and all who work for this company. Should have bought from Sears, not Future shop. They are just as bad, or worse than Samsung because they are absolutely no help to anyone, unless you purchase insurance through them and then they pass it off on the insurance claims. The government is also not doing a very good job of protecting consumers from this sort of thing. I have read so many other stories from people who are facing the same troubles with Samsung products. Never again.

Two year old French door Samsung. Purchased warranty. Ice has always been frosty, half crushed, never a normal ice cube. One repairman said it is because the ice is too cold! He said turn it off every night, back on in the morning! One repairman said the year mine was made, they all make terrible ice. Changed filter and it completely flooded the kitchen and down into the freezer. Why should we have to pay over a hundred dollars a year for filters? I never changed a filter in a fridge before. We do not drink the water from the door. Samsung should recall these machines and replace them!!

Bought this new Samsung Oven Range NE58F9500SS along with other new Samsung appliances and moved into our new home we built in March 2017. I cleaned the oven today for the first time (12/9/2017) and 2 hours into the cleaning process the display went blank and the oven shut off completely. I noticed a distinct horrible odor of melting plastic. Smoke started coming out of the control panel. The control panel melted from the heat. I have read other reviews on this same oven that have the same complaint as I have. I cannot believe Samsung has not recalled this product. My hope is that someone doesnt have to die before something is done. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG.

The fridge has been repaired with ice maker replaced 4 times. Now the washing machine has an error code that Samsung cannot find anyone to fix. Samsung does not offer refunds even though their appliances are junk but does offer replacements. (Oh yay) Samsung guaranteed delivery/replacement in 10 days. This is day 12 with no communication from Samsung. Many hours spent on the phone with Samsung, 4 service trips for the ice maker and now a guaranteed time frame on a replacement that did not happen. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator! I purchased a French door, bottom freezer, center drawer unit in November 2014. Beautiful appliance! I never really cared for the icemaker, but it made ice so I was ok with it until the unit was 2 1/2 years old. The ice maker began to freeze on the bottom and no ice was made. Then the water began dripping out of the front door dispenser. Fortunately I purchased the extended warranty, but when the repairmen came, on four occasions, there was not much they could do to remedy the situation. Finally they ordered a new icemaker, but then Samsung backordered for over a month then sent the wrong parts. Seems Samsung has completely changed the repair of their icemakers and the repairmen have not installed a new one to their specifications, so mine is the first. Great! Mine will be the Guinea Pig! Wish I had this purchase to do over, and had my $2000 (sale price) back to purchased an American made unit.

DWF800A (DW80F600UTS) - I bought a brand new stainless steel dishwasher by Samsung on 5th September. It did not work out of the box. I contacted Samsung and they arranged for a technician to call me back. A week later, the technician called and arranged to visit and check it out in a few weeks time. On the arranged day, the technician called to say he wouldnt be out as the parts hadnt arrived. Another week later he called again to arrange a visit - another week later. Eventually, the technician called, replaced the sensors and circuit board and declared that it should be ok hopefully. The dishwasher worked for one wash, then went back to the exact same fault - not emptying. We called the technician back and he said it would be at least 3 weeks before he could call again. Its now 2 months since we received this piece of junk, so I called Samsung again. After 20 minutes on the phone with customer service, they escalated to Executive customer service. After 20 minutes with them, where I asked for it to be replaced or refunded, as it wasnt fit for purpose, I was told that I would just have to wait for the technician to call again. So Samsung are more than happy that I have a non-working Samsung product, have had to take 3 days holidays to wait for their technician and am out of pocket for almost $1000 for a piece of ** not-fit-for-purpose junk for 3 months.I have a house full of Samsung products, from cell phones and TVs to all of the major household appliances. Well Samsung, let me tell you I have gone from being a big Samsung fan to a total hater of Samsung - I will not be replacing any product with another Samsung, due to this shoddy treatment. Please do yourself a favour - dont buy this piece of junk. I will update in another months time, when the technician has had another go at fixing this POS.

Over the last 2 years I have purchased 3 Samsung appliances, a microwave, an electric range, and a dishwasher. Each had had quality issues. The microwave runs fine but the door handle completely pulled out of the door. We dont even use it very often. Its 2 years old so I know from my experience with the dishwasher that I wont get any help from Samsung for poor quality. The dishwasher is high end model. The pieces holding the upper rack are plastic and dried out and broke within months following the purchase. The company replaced them once but when it happened a second time - because the plastic once again did not hold up - no replacement because it was outside the warranty date. Really? This is a quality issue and should be fixed completely. For now tie wraps hold up my top dish rack. So much for a $900 dishwasher. Finally the range. It is hit or miss whether it holds the set temperature and doesnt necessarily get to temperature if using one or more burner. Ive had it with Samsung appliances. Never again. The only samsung product I can honestly say Im happy with is my phone. Samsung appliances look nice on the outside but are made of poor quality materials. I had a 7 year old Samsung refrigerator that froze up completely in the back which stops the fan and then the refrigerator does not cool. Had it repaired 3 times in a month. Problem kept happening and I pretty much didn’t have a working refrigerator for 5 weeks. Finally the repairman told me the whole cooling system had to be replaced. The cost would be at least 1200.00. I wasn’t going to put that much money into a refrigerator that was over 7 years old. I thought this was just bad luck and went out and bought another Samsung refrigerator. 2 years later the exact same thing is happening and I’m going through the same thing with the Samsung Repairman who keeps coming in to fix it and two weeks later it happens again. Now I find out doing my research that this is a common problem for Samsung refrigerators and there are two class action lawsuits against them. Because the refrigerator is less than 5 years old the main cooling system is still under warranty, but Samsung doesn’t want to admit that that’s the problem and replace it. Customer service is not helpful at all and they really don’t care how long you have to go without a refrigerator. Besides this problem the inside of these refrigerators are made like crap. All the shelves on the doors have cracks in them and all the wheels on the drawers have snapped off. I will never buy another Samsung product again, unfortunately it was a very expensive lesson to learn.

You name it and there is a problem. Very disheartening that Samsung is aware of this issue as the internet brought up numerous references including a pending class action lawsuit. Samsung’s failure to step up and be a responsible corporate entity by paying for a long term repair or recalling what they know to be a defective product will be forever engrained in my memory. I have officially removed any of their product lines for my household future purchases and will be certain to advise others on their lack of concern. Omg, how I wish I had read the Consumer Affairs reviews before I bought my Samsung range. Consumer Reports DID not give it a bad review. I purchased all new appliances for my retirement home and price didnt matter. Love my Sears Elite Refrigerator and my Bosch dishwasher. However, I cannot say anything good about the Samsung slide-in electric glass cooktop! The glass top has several scratches beginning the first time I used it. It was installed the second week of March 2018 but wasn’t used until April because I was in Florida. This is my fourth cooktop. First was a Corning, second and third were General Electric. After using it for only two and one-half months I cannot believe the condition of the cooktop. The booklet says not to slide pans. I try not to, but of course you will slide a pan occasionally. I use the same cookware that I used on the others. I never had one scratch on any of my other three cooktops. Every time I use it I’m a nervous wreck worrying about scratching it. There is no reason to get another top because I do not want another Samsung. This is a very expensive mistake! And, I will be replacing it. I feel sorry for those who are stuck with their Samsungs because they can’t afford to replace them. Samsung ought to stick with televisions. I sure hope there is or will be a class action lawsuit. Extremely dissatisfied with Samsung range and it will be a relief to get rid of it!

Dishwasher given as a gift. It cleans better than my old one which did not have storm wash or sanitizer or delayed wash. The control dials positioned on inside of door are easy to clean. I like the section on lower rack that cleans off dirtiest dishes. The slots in basket hold silverware in place or you can open up for larger utensils. The top rack has 2 areas designed to hold any light dish in place. The rack slots for placement of dishes are angled so bowls are difficult to load. We had the absolute worst experience with Samsung. We called because our freezer was 2.5 years old and both ice makers broken in addition to the freezer. Our freezer wasnt staying at the correct temperature. I called to see what, if anything they can do. They advised me that there is no warranty. I requested the information for an authorized Samsung repairer (they did not offer). I was told that I would need to call and set up the appointment since I was no longer under warranty. I expressed how disappointed I was that our refrigerator was broken and was under 3 years old. He continued to reminded me there is no warranty so that was the end of that. I then called the number provided by the Samsung representative and did not speak with anyone. I chatted with a representative over the internet and explained that I could not get in contact with them and explained that I am loyal customer of Samsung for over 10 years and am in need of assistance. He could not do anything other than tell me that my warranty has expired and that I should call the number provided. I called a total of 4 times and left 2 voice messages. I then contacted via chat to beg for help and he then provided a number to Samsung Emergency Help. However at this exact time my husband was at the house with an unauthorized repair company because we have now been 4 days without a refrigerator and have a house of 6 to provide for. The emergency repair representative said that they cannot help because an unauthorized has touched our appliance. The unauthorized repair man confirmed we had a freon leak which was the reason our temperature was not right in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments in addition to having broken ice makers. The Freon had a 5 year warranty and when a supervisor called me back she said I should have looked at the manual and that that was my responsibility. I reminded her that I told the rep I spoke with everything and I am not too savvy when it comes to diagnosing issues with my refrigerator so I did not know it was the freon, I clearly communicated that the freezer and refrigerator temps where not right and the original rep I communicated that too agreed but still told me I have no warranty so I believed I had no warranty.I was repeatedly blamed for not arguing with the rep about the freon and warranty issue. They blamed me for getting a unauthorized repair man, They said I should have kept calling them when I got no response from their authorized repair facility. The chat rep disconnected/hung up on me (still had questions), when I asked to speak with the supervisor - she stated, You actually spoke with my supervisor already, and went on to explain that her supervisor passed it to her to handle when I requested a supervisor and that I could not speak to anyone else. The supervisor blamed me for not setting an appointment up through them (even after I told her I was clearly told that I have to do it). I did not raise my voice nor did I at anytime use vulgarities or insult anyone that I spoke with.I reminded them that I was a loyal customer with over 14 Samsung products that includes appliances, phones, media equipment, and tables and it meant nothing. I suggested they at least give me a coupon to purchase something else and all was denied. I cannot and will not patronize a company that has such bad service. I talked to Samsung 3 times by phone when I called, 2 time when a supervisor called me, and 2 times by chat and I did not have an acceptable experience. I feel as if the product was defective if everything broke within a week of each other and it was only 2.5 years old. Terrible Service, no I am purchasing a new refrigerator and will not consider a Samsung product again.

THIS FRIDGE IS NO GOOD. The ice maker freezes up and water puddle under the deli tray and that water freezes and I have to use an air dryer to blow in order for the tray to be release. The first time it happen I was still under warranty and so the tech replaced evaporator cover and moved the temperature sensor sideways (which he said is factory fault). The ice maker stopped working and the freezer is just cooling. It is not freezing. I have lost everything in the freezer again. Looking at other reviews they have the same problems with their Samsung fridge. I would never buy another Samsung product. My neighbor has the same problems. The HEAD of Samsung needs to read these reviews and compensate customers for their losses. The only thing that is good about the fridges are the appearance. This is not fair or right to poor people like myself to be repairing the fridge every time. My fridge is big and looks good on the outside, but it is a piece of crap. I would not encourage anyone to buy Samsung refrigerator because they freezes up and ice maker doesnt work.

Purchased 1.5hp split inverter aircon from Emcor Davao City May 5 2018. Unit worked fine for about 5-6 months then started short cycling. Mystic Electronics Service Center Davao was contacted by customer service to be assumed warranty repair provider. Person came out said Lindsey too short so had to pay P6000 To have that fixed. Unit continued to short cycle. Came out again said outdoor motherboard AND compressor overload were both bad...then outdoor blower motor was bad. They replaced all of those items. I have years of AC experience and told the KID that is not the problem. He leaves unit still short cycling so I finally called Manila again and told them MY diagnosis. After further discussion between themselves they agreed to send same KID out to replace the indoor thermistor. The KID damaged my casings on inside unit. Now unit is acting up again with about 3 weeks remaining on warranty. I told them they need to send someone else out as I had banned Mystic from coming inside the property again since he has really no idea what he is doing and no respect for someone elses property....I.e. Indoor portion of the Samsung a.c. NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG AIRCON products....unless youre rich and dont mind just throwing your money out the door. Learned my lesson on Samsung. Never again buy their a.c. products.

After only 17 months, the magnetron on a stainless steel high end microwave by Samsung broke down. I called Samsung and they put me in touch with a repair company. I am sure it is Magnetron because the food will not heat up. I decided why bother with a repair that will cost me a minimum of $160 on the low end for a machine that was $269 new. What a nice looking piece of junk.

I bought Samsung microwave model SMH9187ST in March 2011 and just got the SE/5E code. After reading hundreds of similar complaints, I contacted Samsung. They are sending a service repair company to replace the control panel free of charge even though it is out of warranty. I was told that this was considered an epidemic type of issue that Samsung is aware of. If after the replacement of the control panel I am still receiving the error message, then the control box will need to be replaced at my expense. I just wanted to share with anyone who is just now getting this error code that Samsung will work with you on some level. Better than nothing, I guess.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator two years ago. French doors with a lower freezer drawer and a refrigerator drawer. A week ago, the refrigerator door handle became dislodged with no way to reattach it. We had to call a service rep to fix. Only he cannot. The screws that bolt unto the draw and handle are unique to the Samsung product. Using a standard bolt that is longer wont work. Somehow the threads within the draw have dropped back into the draw itself and there is no way to attach the handles. So, we now have to purchase a whole new draw for nearly $500 including servicing. We will never purchase a Samsung again.

Spent 3 months with this service provider to fix my Samsung refrigerator. The results are my refrigerator is still not working after 100 days back and forth with the service. The service was covered by Samsung due to some product issue. But after spending hours to diagnosis and fix the issue, the fridge is still not working. Since then, I can never get contact to follow up again. Really sad that all the time is wasted and spent lots of time and money on it. Should buy a brand new fridge from the first beginning.

The Lowes repairman told us since it was cosmetic it wasnt covered under warranty. We would have to pay a large amount to replace the front door panel. Why do this if they cant fix the problem that is causing the issue? The repairman basically told us to not use the crushed ice option. WHAT? Why own an ice maker if you cant use the crushed ice? They are now telling me that they havent seen this issue in the database so they dont think its an issue.

Had service tech out twice while still under warranty for inability to wash dishes properly and they could never find a problem. Now the warranty is expired. It logs this water reflector problem and the parts are covered under warranty, but will cost me 250.00 labor to fix this piece of junk. I should have bought the Bosch instead. Very disappointed in performance of product purchased from what I thought was a reputable company. Ill never buy Samsung anything again.

Samsung Warranty Service. Replaced all my kitchen appliances with Samsung a few months ago. Happy with them generally but fridge/freezer suddenly stopped cooling. Samsung Call Center has dispatched the ticket to 3 different Authorized Warranty Service Centers over two days. All Service Centers have declined as they say they cannot repair Compressor/Sealed Unit as they are. I forced the Call Center to escalate to their dispatch center which then tried to send another service provider who declined to come as they were not qualified or equipped to do the work. Two days without a TV is manageable. Two days without a fridge is not. I had to buy a new freezer to save my frozen meat and food. Needless to say, Freezer is not a Samsung. Still have not reached anyone at Samsung who can make a decision. Thanks for the Melty Mess in my new kitchen, Samsung.

Only once covered under warranty. First 6 months gas oven. ALL top burn covers and grates discolored covered under warranty. NOW to microwave. The damn clock/timer constantly beeps and goes to #7. I mean every 1,2,3 minutes tops. Called Samsung. Knew all about problems and tried to sell me a $165 microwave door to fix problem plus $65 install. They would NOT allow me to install because it would void warranty. I questioned. What warranty? First door was not being covered. No answer to that. Now just waiting for dishwasher to go. Samsung does not live up to its advertising or product warranty. Would not recommend Samsung to my worst enemy. I purchased a Samsung fridge March 2013 from the brick with stove, and dishwasher for our new home. Within the first 6 months we started to notice water in the crisper - just one side... OK someone spilled something? That went on for a few more months and we started wondering what/why? Went online and was told to contact Samsung, there was a fix to our problem. I called, they sent repair person here Feb 13 2015. Within 3 months it started again called right away. They sent the same part for a new repair - which was the entire BACK of the fridge - this time will do it! That was June 30/15 and we have been calling Samsung now for a few weeks as it started again? When do they come clean and give me a new fridge? This is obviously unfixable and a malfunction of this fridge - what can I do? So far all my calls say sorry already fixed 2x, no more for you??? Not good!!! I have a basic 2 door model - no ice maker, no water, just a fridge with freezer on the bottom. I need help - willing to repair but will it really work this time? Do I spend the money or toss this fridge and refuse to EVER buy Samsung again?

When I complained to them that they make dates and do not honor them, the customer service operator just said I am just the messenger and there is nothing I can do. I asked for a manager but the manager was too busy and could not talk to me. They would call me back. They never did. I called back and finally got a manager. There was no offer of help. No offering to make this right. They blew me off. I asked them at least deliver the refrigerator but they said if they gave me the refrigerator then my stove order would be cancelled. For the Price of $2200 you can be too proud owner of a piece of crap. Very simple. I bought this fridge in March 2016 by April 2017 here is what started to happen. The bottom ice drawer in the French style does not auto shut off so the ice falls back behind the draw. Then the cooling fan unit behind the back panel Freezes UP. I called them several times over the past year was since it is out of the Manufacturer’s warranty there is nothing we can do. But, I did some research on the fridge and find out there are hundreds of cases on YouTube and online that are experiencing the same problem. When you call Samsung direct and ask about it, they say they have never had a complaint or has anyone called about the fridge. Then I go online and get in the blog where people have actually called and complained. Here is what I know, For your warranty to be covered, you have to have them put in a work order over the phone with a ticket number that they can track. Then, they contact the Samsung Repairman. You can’t use Joe bag of doughnuts. It have to be on their sheet of authorized service partners. The closest one to me was 2 hours away. They gave me the name of the repair place and I called them. When I told the serviceman what I needed, he laughed, not at me but that I was having trouble with a Samsung Fridge. I asked him what he thought. He said he has to fix them all the time because of either Ice Maker or Freezing in the back panel. But Samsung says this doesn’t happen. Anyway, after two service techs and a few dollars and numerous calls to you know who, all I can say is Samsung sucks on their refrigerators and customer service. It’s like yeah, you bought fridge from us and it’s broke after a year and a half. Well, we got our money so don’t care. Someone, Legally need to look into this.

Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF263BEAESR/AA - Due to an older house I needed to get a smaller refrigerator. It was hard to find due to all the constraints, size, height, and how far the doors could open. I was excited to find the Samsung French Door Refrigerator, because it fit with all the space constraints my home required. It was a new model so there wasnt any reviews available. Unlike my previous Samsung French Door, a larger version, that I had 7 years ago, this one makes cloudy ice. I just found out from a Samsung repair tech that this model will not make clear ice due to the way it makes ice. Also, because of some restrictions lifted on companies making refrigerators most newer models make loud noises, according to the research I found on the internet. My model sounds like someone in there is trying to get out by throwing a large rock around. It happens every 6 to 8 hours. It can wake me up from a sound sleep. I thought it was the ice maker, but I have turned it off and it still makes it. Samsung basically has made all kinds of excuses, but they havent done anything about it. Other Pros: Ive only had it since Nov 2014, going on 8 months. It so far, keeps my food cold and my freezer seems to be working fine. It has plenty of space for me. Had I known about the cloudy ice issue I may have looked into buying another brand.

Wow. Look at all these reviews. Same **, different user. I have the same microwave that everyone is complaining about here. This microwave has always been noisy (really noisy) and the keypad hard to use. We bought it to replace a Kenmore microwave that was over 20 years old (like our fridge), but still working. Now, we are getting the common SE problem; no amount of beating, unplugging, cursing, or other trickery will coax it into working. I went with this one because it looked great with our Frigidaire cooktop and oven, and I did not care for the styling of the Frigidaire micro. What a crock! Appliances should last. The oven that gave up and had to be replaced was a Magic Chef from 1966. Show me an appliance from a contemporary manufacturer that lasts over 50 years these days. Not gonna happen. I did expect to get more than 2 years out of a $300 microwave, however. I lust the Samsung fridges, but I will have to get over it and see if Kenmore can provide one with the same features when I need that, because I will not be getting a Samsung. I have a phone (4 years old) that will need replacing soon, and the iPhone is looking pretty good. Now, I’m glad we went with another manufacturer for the recently purchased TV, judging from the tales of customer service listed on the site. We will try the panel repair tonight, but I am sure the Magnetron will bite it soon, according to the others. So it will be a matter of time before I have to purchase another microwave, not a Samsung this time, no matter how sexy it is.

My less than 5 year old Samsung range, model# NX58H5650WS caught on fire when I used the self clean feature for the first time. Within 15 minutes the oven started emitting white smoke. Then flames appeared. Had to call the fire department to come and pry the door open to put out the fire, since the door locks automatically when the self clean feature is turned on. They claim this is a safety feature. Not so sure. I couldnt put out the fire myself. This was a gas range and was afraid of an explosion. I will never ever buy another Samsung product. My Samsung refrigerator, dishwasher and now the range are all lemons. I bought the service contract for 5 years and the servicemen have been out to fix the refrigerator and dishwasher at least 10 times. But the range took the cake. I almost burned down my house. Very upset as to how these appliances can be sold. Had to put a $10,000 claim into my insurance company so that ServPro could come out and get the smoke damage and smell out of my house. Beware of these cheap Samsung appliances. If I could give these products a zero star rating I would.

My husband and I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in August of 2015; it was not the most expensive refrigerator but it was far from the cheapest. About a month after the refrigerator was installed, we started hearing this really loud noise while the refrigerator was running, as if the refrigerator was a jet about to take off. The noise gradually got louder over time, so every time the refrigerator started running, we would hear this loud noise. The noise was so loud that we could not hear our television in the other room. I contacted Samsung about the concern and they sent out a technician who claimed the noise was normal for all Samsung refrigerators. After the technician left, I called Samsung to speak with a manager and the manager advised me to record the noise and call back; I did just this the same week. The representative at Samsung that listened to the recording of my refrigerator stated that the noise is not normal and that the compressor is going out and needs to be replaced along with a hose. I was told that day that these items were being ordered (this was approximately 2 months ago now). I have called several times to find out what is going on with the parts because no one has come by to install them. Samsung transfers me from person to person and department to department; the only answer I get is there is a ticket for the parts. No one can tell me what is going on and no one offers any assistance. Samsung appliances are by far the worst! Do not purchase Samsung appliances!!! We have a refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, microwave, washer and dryer all from Samsung and the only appliance that works properly is the oven!!! I will never again purchase anything from Samsung and I advise all others to run the other way! Their appliances are horrible and their customer service is even worse! They do not stand behind their warranty and will transfer you around until you either give up or they can claim its out of warranty so they no longer have to help.

While baking at 375 degrees and standing in front of the oven I heard a loud pop, and then seen a lot of smoke coming out of the top rear behind the clock and program panel. I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher Model Number: DW80F600UTS/AA on June 22, 2014. Everything seemed to be working fine until November 30, 2014. We had issues with the Dishwasher, Product Symptoms: Operation/Doesnt work/Doesnt dry. This was covered under Samsungs warranty within a year. It is now August 2015 and were already having another issue with this Dishwasher - we had an appliance repair person come to the house and he tells me we now need a computer board for this dishwasher. One hundred something dollars and thats just for the part, thats not covering labor to install the part. The Technician is telling me if you have any sort of voltage issues these Dishwashers will need parts replaced. What is getting me angry is that we have a whole house surge protector protecting our main breaker and were still having issues. I would expect issues after several years say 4, or 5 not within the first year to year and 1/2. I contacted Samsung Customer Service and explained to them the latest issue. I also explained to them there was another issue several months after we bought this Dishwasher. Samsungs reply was its over the warranty, period. You used to buy appliances from Sears no less that would last years, now you pay good money thinking youre getting a good product - Samsung no less - and this is the way they treat you. About a year and a half ago I purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator (model RF197ACWP/XAA) and the trouble began within the first year. After 6 months of use, the refrigerator started experiencing ice buildup on the evaporator coil, water leaking into the vegetable bins and under them. Ive had multiple Samsung service appointments performed by NISI NJ Inc (an Authorized Service Center of Samsung Electronics). I work full time and I was forced to use my vacation days for the multiple service appointments as the service appointments were only available Mon through Fri 9 till 5pm. Not to mention hundreds of dollars of food thrown out constantly. This multi-hundred dollar unit accordingly is unusable after less than a couple of years. I do not expect a refrigerator to last forever. I do however expect it to last at least more than two years. I recently learned that the company has sold refrigerators since 2005 with multiple defects and thousands of people are experiencing similar issues. I assumed Samsung would stand behind its product. However, after extremely lengthy and unpleasant calls with customer service office, Samsung said it refuses to offer any help as the one year warranty has now expired. The issue began when the unit was still under warranty and the original issue has never been fixed. I find this response unacceptable. I had filled out a formal complaint on April 4th, 2015 and asked to speak to management but Samsung has not done anything.

I really like this fridge because of the price point. Although I do have a couple of issues. First being I hate that no matter what temp you put the fridge on you will have to eventually manually Defrost because there is no option to do it by itself. Second even after googling how to defrost it you have to basically take it apart and do it yourself no matter what. Thirdly I wish there was a way to either turn off the door open alarm or adjust the time. Overall, I’m pretty happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend as a good starter fridge.

Samsung microwave hood combo ME21706MQS/AC. Purchased an entire kitchen package from Sears Nov 2015 which included a Samsung microwave oven. We are a retired couple so use microwave to heat food and drinks. The microwave would not heat August 2017. Contacted Sears who sent a repairman. Estimate is to replace magnetron $133.96; diode $9.99; transformer $143.46 LABOUR $189.00. Total is $476.41 and I paid $599.99 plus get for the oven. Repairman recommended not to repair as it would not work in less than a year! In other words a piece of crap! I took out the 3 year no interest from Sears so I still have over a year to pay for this piece of crap. Samsung or Sears would not help.

Just bought my 8k q900 TS qled tv. I was a bit afraid as the 8k models are very expansive but this t.v is very perfect. Bright colours, very thhin tv for the qled technologies. Edgeless. Gaming mode is really the favourite for me because I wanted the g9 odyssey but samsung tooked from the market and I wanted a new good quality screen perfect black colours and gaming mode for the 122hz. With this tv I am enjoying really good my games and my wife watch her preferred movie at any time trying to see any error on the image quality as fab of the OLED TV's but finally said "this TV is so perfect she even used without glass and said was clear. So far Samsung is the best tv producer for the 2020 and now I dont need to find my Samsung I just need to touch the tv and its done. I am not rich or anything and this tv is very expansive for me but its value the money with the quality and amazing future we got. No screen burn, good black levels, very thin, amazing future . I advice this t.v to anyone who can afford it. It's a 0 risk

We installed model # ME179KFETSR/AA in our remodeled kitchen in November of 2013. In February of 2014, 3 months later, the Microwave went bonkers (as noted in other complaints) and the control had to be replaced. It was under warranty, so there was no charge, just inconvenience. The repairman told me I should run the fan when cooking ANYTHING on my stove, even warming up canned vegetables. I took his advice and used the fan even though it is very loud. Unfortunately, this did not prevent the need for ANOTHER service call for the same problem in April of 2014. The problem has reoccurred for the third time and the microwave is now out of warranty. Even though the micro is less than a year and a half old, Samsung is only willing to give me the part at no charge, which will probably only cost them $30.00. Wow, what exceptional service. They MUST know the micro has a design flaw. The repair has not yet been performed, so Im not sure how much this is going to cost me, besides my loyalty to Samsung.

We spent $3000 on this model fridge in 2016. By all accounts based on what Ive read about this issue, Samsung has known about the ice maker issue this model has since 2015 and did nothing to stop the sale of the fridges. The first time it happened, it being that the ice maker frosting over and water leaking out from the ice maker opening, it was two years after purchase and out of warranty, so we called a local technician. He charged us $370 to fix the issue. He said it was a very common issue with Samsung fridges and it had been going on for years. Two months after he left of course the issue came right back. Samsung is now changing its tune and is stating that they will pay for the ice maker itself and help us find a technician to come out and replace the ice maker. It will cost us another $250 to have the ice maker replaced and there is no guarantee that the new ice maker is any different than the one its replacing. My sister-in-law has the same fridge and has the same issue. My good friend has had other Samsung appliances lately and they have been terrible in terms of reliability. I am telling everyone I know to never buy a Samsung product again.

Samsung side by side refrigerator - At about 18 months, we started getting a noise in the freezer side hitting something. It would stop when we opened the door. Then we discovered water on the floor. Water had built up under the crisper so much it had nowhere else to go. The freezer would de-thaw. The refrigerator side would not stay cold. At that point we decided to call a repairperson. Then it got to a point where we decided to bite the bullet and replace the piece of garbage that we paid $1500.00. Thank God for Sears. They offered us an extended warranty even though we did not purchase the fridge from them. Since purchasing the warranty, weve had a repairperson in our home 4 times. Sears will be sorry they offered the warranty to us. We thought we were finally all set. We finally had it fixed. Guess what? Our nightmare is not over. We discovered today we have to have a repairperson come again! So again we are considering getting rid of the darn thing. We are so disgusted. Why didnt we stick with Whirlpool?

We purchased a Samsung French Door Fridge and purchased a warranty with it. Within a few months the compressor died. While I can understand that equipment may occasionally be defective, what I was more shocked about was the terrible service in honoring their warranty. We got a runaround for TWO WEEKS before a serviceman made his way to our house only to tell us that the fridge could not be repaired. It took another two weeks to get it replaced. Shame on you! I will never purchase another Samsung product, and would advise the rest of you not to.

This Samsung fridge has a SERIOUS design flaw and Samsung has been aware of it for a long time, per all the blogs, articles and YouTube videos about this problem! Our fridge is 3 mos old and already its doing the symptoms (loud popping/cracking/gurgling noises and water dripping within sealed walls) that our fridge will have this serious problem one day. We do not have a door water/ice dispenser and dont have the bottom ice maker activated. On many Samsung refrigerators, ice builds up on the coils (in sealed section) with the dripping making the buildup a solid, large chunk of ice that eventually BLOCKS the cold air into the fridge and also stops the fan. Samsung tells us the noises are normal but they can send a technician - since this is a design flaw and we dont want the fridge taken apart only to be told to use a hair dryer to defrost that area... We declined the service call. The seller (Lowes) refuses to take the fridge back and substitute a comparable one (cu ft etc) no-cost. The fridge looks nice, has good room and cools (for now) but I dread the day when the fan stops and hope it does not cause a FIRE as a result of the fan blades stopped but the fan motor continuing! If there is a recall or class action measure taken, my email is: **.

I wish I could be here to write a good review about SAMSUNG, but this is not the case. I am totally disappointed with the Customer Service Department and also with the product!!!! My parents are 87 & 86 years of age, their refrigerator broke on July 31, 2021 and had not been a year that they had delivered the refrigerator. They came out, they shipped the wrong part. They ordered the new part, got lost. Finally they said they would replace the refrigerator. That they would be contacting us from 3 to 5 business days. That was on August 16th 2021. So today August 23, 2021 I called today! It being the 7th day and no call. After spending the whole morning and afternoon on hold with 5 different people to tell me that THEY made a mistake on the ticket would not tell me what?? and it will take 7 to 14 days more??? How unprofessional on both companies. We will never buy a Samsung product again. I will never ever recommend a Samsung to anybody!! The worst experience I have ever had with a company. I want to speak to someone in charge someone that can help my elderly parents. But no one calls back ever or they can not transfer you... All around a horrible experience. Super stressful.

This time only the auger motor had to be replaced as no ice would come thru the chute...repairman replaced and till no ice. I purchased a brand new in the box Samsung over the range microwave, installed it. It worked well and was beautiful, stainless steel and black. They told me to call a service person at my own expense. I said, No! I explained I had barely used it and no way was I spending another $170 added to the $200-$300 it cost me initially. So basically, they sell disposable microwaves. I also own a Samsung top load washer and dryer that cost about $1800-$2000. I have had issues with my four-door refrigerator the last 6 weeks. We had noticed the frozen foods werent quite as frozen as they should be and then the ice maker stopped dumping ice. I had noticed previously that the ice in the holder always froze against the right-hand side of the bucket and would stop dispensing ice. I then noticed the ice maker would fill with water and would produce ice but never dumped it. I hit the reset button and it worked perfectly. It never would begin normal ice production on its own, and I had to continually hit the reset button for ice to be dumped ever two hours. Now, the freezer has become the fridge! No ice now and all of the food in that portion are thawed, just water in the ice tray that never freezes. I called the helpdesk (almost said it with a straight face) and they could do nothing except send a serviceman to repair the unit at my cost. I asked if they would guarantee their work and she said that they could only try and fix it. I told her to me try was not a guarantee of it being fixed. I asked if they would stand behind the work of their suggested contractors and she said again, they would try and fix it.I am anxiously awaiting a call from the repairman to see the cost of him driving to my house and the estimated charges he thinks he will have. I will ask him if HE stands behind his work since Samsung won’t. If it goes as it has with all of the other customers on this site, I will NOT be buying a new refrigerator from Samsung, and I will contact Lowe’s and tell them of my displeasure with one of their distributors.

We purchased this dishwasher in April 2015, but did not have it delivered to us until June when our kitchen was completed. The first dishwasher to arrive was damaged. Had a bent door frame so the door would not close. The company we purchased these from (PC Richards) replaced the dishwasher and a new one was sent. In December 2015 and exactly 6 months from when dishwasher was installed it is no longer cleaning the dishes or drying them. We had a tech come out and it was determined that the heating element was bad. We also showed him a broken wheel on the lower rack. Tech said he would order parts. The parts came in and the tech was here to fix the issue. However, the wrong wheels were sent. To this day we are still without the proper wheels. Also, we have had 3 service calls since the new heat element was installed and still dealing with the dishwasher not cleaning or drying the dishes. The tech made a call to Samsung and they did some tests and it showed the dishwasher is functionally normal with no issues. So here we are with a dishwasher that is only 6 months old not working!! I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2013 RS265TDRS. Immediately the ice maker had issues, and I have to continue to defrost the ice maker monthly and the dispenser gets clogged. It was embedded in the door, now I see they have abandoned that approach. My bigger issue is that this year the refrigerator stopped working and wouldnt cool. The temperature gauge showed 38 degrees but it was warm and all food spoiled. Had to pay a repairman to come out and tell us this is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators and they need to be defrosted constantly, especially in humid areas and not to use the energy saving setting. He basically indicated the auto defrost is no longer working and it would be cheaper to buy a new fridge than to fix this one. Even though Samsung shows 10 year warranty on the compressor, what good is that if you cant use the fridge after only 6 years and after talking to Samsung they only cover their product for 1 year. Lowes had a 3 year extended warranty. Repairman said he has better experiences with other brands.

I have owned this pricey Samsung Induction Range NE58H9970WS for two years and am having oven issues that I would consider to be safety related. When using the lower section of my flex oven, the broiler in the top section comes on although not in use. It gets extremely hot and oven starts to smoke. On two occasions, the broiler remained on when oven features where all off. We had to turn off the circuit breaker to get it to stop. Samsung has indicated to me that there must be an internal hardware issue (no kidding!). I will be contacting the service technician in our area to have this rectified.
