6 months ago, we started having problems with the freezer side freezing up and then the fan was hitting the ice and making loud noises. We turned down the freezer control, which helped for a while. We have had this refrigerator for 22 months and yesterday it quit working. We called a repair person and he said that the motherboard and the fan were burned up. He called to get prices on the new parts and said it would cost around $300.00 to fix and replace parts. However, he told us that the motherboard was DISCONTINUED and that the replacement motherboard might not fix the problem with it icing up. We paid $1000.00 for this refrigerator and it was a lemon. Will never buy one from them again. Also, Sears is where we bought this refrigerator and we will never buy one there again for selling us a piece of junk. It started having problems right after the 1 year warranty expired!. $1000.00 refrigerators should last more than 22 months! Also, when we called the first repair company, they said they do not work on Samsung refrigerators. Seems to me they knew about the problems from me and other customers.

I needed a 24 inch deep refrigerator and this was just right. I've had the refrigerator for over 5 years and it has been good. The best part is if you have a problem, you call a number and a technician tells you what to do. I would recommend Samsung to all my friends.

I purchased this refrigerator from Home Depot on September 3 2017. It quit working on August 20, 2018. It still has the Samsung factory warranty. They sent a repair person to fix it on September 11, 2018. They had the wrong parts and could not get the right parts. Samsung agreed to replace the refrigerator on September 12, 2018. It is now October 5, 2018 and I still have no refrigerator. Samsung has the absolute worst customer service on the planet. I truly dont know how they stay in business. I asked for a refund so I can buy an American made refrigerator. Still no answer. Home Depot has done everything they can and are no further in the negotiation process with them than I am. Please do not buy any Samsung products of any kind.

We purchased a new Samsung (model RSH7PNRS) side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water through the door. This is supposed to be Samsungs latest and greatest design. From the start, the ice maker has never worked properly! It makes ice but will not dispense it. In less than 2 days, the ice chute froze up. Samsung and the dealer, Omni electronics, refused to fix the unit, or give a refund. It’s such a huge disappointment! Unfortunately, we paid cash, and have no recourse without going to the court, and bearing those expenses. We may picket by the dealer’s showroom! Dont buy Samsung products!

We purchased the Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80K505US last fall. We had the service techs here to check on it as the dishes were coming out with food stuck on them no matter what we did. We did everything the tech said to avoid this problem and it didnt change a thing. Two weeks ago we received the replacement machine that Samsung sent but it has exactly the same problem. As far as we are concerned this is a design flaw. The rinse cycle is not working properly as the dishes come out dirtier than when they were put in.According to the last service tech who was here 2 DAYS AGO, it is caused by the companies trying to go greener with the machines. What use are they if they do not do what they are supposed to. I am currently using both the detergent and rinse agent they recommended and now I also am supposed to buy another product - Finish dishwasher booster. I have an issue with the chemicals as they cause me health problems so I am assuming that we bought an expensive floor ornament and will have to go back to washing dishes by hand.

Bought new Samsung microwave (me21h706mqs) and after one week it caught on fire at the plastic piece in rear corner. Lucky we were at microwave watching or whole house could have caught on fire. Huge plastic smoke and horrible smell. Home Depot response was call Samsung. I asked them to come and take out as it is health hazard. Called Samsung, had to call three different numbers as they cannot transfer, phone technology?? Samsung was not impressed their unit caught fire and really did not care. Said they would sent tech in 2-3 days. UNACCEPTABLE.Basically they hung up on me after I requested someone come out on Monday to remove. Do you think if this happened to the GM at Samsung they would have treated it as routine maintenance? It is now 2 hours after Samsung was supposed to be here and no word yet. Going to replace with ANY other brand than Samsung. If you look at these reviews you see many fires. Cant believe they still are selling them. Buyer beware.

Water Level Release Arm - When using the water dispenser it has many scratches. Only had this fridge 4 months. Manual states to press and thats what we have done with a normal glass. When I call Samsung they say its approved but then nothing happens and the electronic repair shop says they keep seeing rejected. This is absolutely been a nightmare and I keep finding myself at square one. It is a plastic part of poor quality and does not withstand normal use. The scratches appear and make the frig look old and worn. Im getting no place with Samsung.

I purchased a 3 appliance package including a OTR (over the range) microwave from Pauls TV with Samsung being the manufacturer. First the microwave has a wobbly glass tray, it wobbles. Thats my problem because thats the way they are made. Then the microwave would just shut off if it was used more than about 7 minutes. Say, back to back, frozen dinners or heating up 25 minute casseroles. Called Pauls, had to talk to Samsung. Repairman comes out, orders a new circuit board. Comes back 2 weeks later and replaces board. In the middle of a big Christmas Party, microwave shuts off again. Then after 45 minutes, it turns itself back on. When I say shut off, all electric, including clock is off. I call again. Was told it had to be uninstalled to be looked at. So I pay someone to take it out. Repairman said I didnt have to do that. Then he called after and said yes, he ordered another part, so it had to be out to be fixed. That was Dec 29th. I have big New Years party, and have to heat food in cooking pans, but now I dont have a VENT, since it was in the microwave. Today I called Samsung and was transferred to Customer Relations because its January 16th, and the repairman has not shown up twice, yet Samsung keeps calling me to verify Ive called him? I want my money back so I can get something else. Oh, thats too bad. Cant do that. Samsung pays $85 per repair call, hes been here 3 times, plus parts, so far for a $230 microwave. Their policy is to continue to repair until the repairman says it cant be fixed. SWEET job this repairman has. Lucrative contract. I NEVER want to buy another SAMSUNG product again, NEVER. Ive done FOUR kitchen remodels, with all new appliances and never had an issue like this, nor worked with such a stupid company. GE replaced my French Door the 2nd time out because of faulty production. No issue Kitchenaid. No issue Bosch. No issue Fisher & Paykel. No extra warranty. Now I have to wait 2 days so Samsung can reschedule with the repairman.

We purchased our stainless steel Samsung refrigerator in Feb of 2013 (side by side with freezer on bottom) and made the mistake of opting out of the extended warranty. Big mistake! This product is pure junk! The icemaker continually freezes up and I have had two service calls and still the same problem. I have to unclog the ice personally to get the icemaker to work again. Now there are other issues the repairman said would cost $500 to fix. I have called Samsung at least six times to no avail. If you want a good, reliable refrigerator, stay away from Samsung!!! Not only are they junk, their people are not at all sympathetic. They have my money and Im on my own now. Im very angry at this company that rips people off like this.

We purchased our Samsung in August of 2014. We were gone for an extended period of time and the fridge was barely used and was off most of the time after delivery. We returned in mid March and a couple of weeks ago in early April 2015 I placed a double wrapped (plastic and butcher wrap) package of frozen fish on a fridge shelf to thaw for cooking in a couple of days. Two days later, when I went to the fridge there was a terrible odor... fish. I noticed the thawed fish had leaked and spilled all over the shelf and down into the drawer below. I removed it all and cleaned it up and tossed the fish too sickened to cook it. About 4 days or so later I noticed that the odor remained. I recleaned the entire fridge. I noticed that the shelf on which the fish leaked, the one that I had cleaned thoroughly now had a reddish brown stain all along all sides under the tempered glass between the shelf frame and the glass. Ok, I thought, I must remove the glass BUT the glass is sealed into the frame and I could and cannot remove it for proper cleaning. Now, the clear fluid that leaked under the glass has a reddish brown color which indicates to me that bacteria were feasting on the fish juice that spilled from the package. I was alarmed and ran hot water from the faucet directly onto the shelf sides. NO LUCK! I then tried soaking the shelf... one side at a time, in my sink in hot soapy water. STILL NO LUCK. I called Samsung, live chatted with Samsung and submitted emails and called my appliance dealer. We purchased an expensive 5 year warranty for service. I thought they would make this right. All of the shelves, freezer and fridge are sealed. You cannot clean any spilled liquid!!! I even tried inserting a single edged razor blade under the side to let water in but it would not. I asked Samsung for directions on how to clean those sides of the glass. THEY SAID THEY HAD NO SUGGESTION. My appliance dealer also said they could not help. After approximately 8 hours on the phone with Samsung I now have a refrigerator that is a bacteria factory and cannot be cleaned. I am going to report this here and now I am going to search out a class action lawyer who will take this case.I have NEVER owned a fridge that did now allow for cleaning of the glass, or if sealed, did not allow fluid leakage. SAMSUNG HAS A DESIGN FLAW. If you care about your health and the health of your family DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE HEALTH RELATED ISSUES. Samsung offered to send out a service person. HOWEVER, if this was a cleaning/maintenance issue, I would have to pay for a $55.00 charge. Do not even try going into their self help or request for service by phone or online. Both methods ultimately shift you back into a service request circle of forms that grow more complicated.I spent more than four hours on the link that I was given that would solve my problem. I took the link and filled out all the information, uploaded photos of the problem (bacteria growing) and scanned and uploaded my sales receipt. It then flipped me to a self-help page that one could NEVER escape from until Samsung clocked you out. If you are human, like me, and occasionally spill liquids in the fridge, DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG, IT WOULD BE SAFER TO BUY AN ICE CHEST AND A BAG OF ICE IF YOURE LOOKING FOR SAFE FOOD STORAGE. Thats it, Ill never buy another Samsung product! Now, Im off to find a class action lawyer to make them fix this problem. Ive felt nauseated ever since noticing this reddish brown bacteria. Dont know if it was/is the bacteria I cant remove or the stress that Samsung has caused!

Purchased the refrigerator recently. Samsung has been out numerous times and cant repair it. The problems seem to change with each tech and with each phone call. I get different reasons why it doesnt work correctly. Last outsider tech rep stated it was the smart app in the refrigerator has a problem. Samsung does not live up to its advertising or product warranty. Would not recommend Samsung to my worst enemy. In the advertising it states Stream music and videos, and watch your Samsung TV directly on your Family Hub... Also bought a new Samsung TV and they are not compatible. So states some Samsung reps. Others say that it should work. Spent a lot of money on garbage, in my opinion.

Purchased Family Hub refrigerator and had installed last Friday. On Wednesday the calendar would not sync with Google. I called Samsung and was told that with the new update the Calendar, White Board and Memo apps are being discontinued. I purchased this refrigerator with the Family Hub for the calendar so I could keep track of my familys appointments and see them at a glance. Nowhere on the web did it mention the calendar was being discontinued. The Family Hub feature cost me $500 over the same refrigerator w/o the family hub. Samsung knew they were working on removing these apps yet did not (as far as I can tell) let anyone know. The customer service gentleman that I worked with said that the businesses that sold these hadnt been told. Feel this was a total waste of my money as I didnt really need to get a new one, but wanted the convenience of the Family Hub calendar and since I gave away my standalone refrigerator and standalone freezer I cant really send this one back.

Next problem we had with this refrigerator is refrigerator and freezer both quit working. And after this was fixed the next problem is the refrigerator will not get cold. Keeps going from 60 degrees down to 40 and back up again. The best way we could find to solve the problem was to get rid of this piece of junk.

I cant imagine anyone that actually uses a dishwasher designing this one! The racks are awful. The top one will not hold wine glasses or any with a stem without falling over. The bottom wont hold more than 2 bowls, without giving up space for plates. And no way can I put pans in the bottom. They just wont fit. All of those have to be on the top with all of the glasses and cups. No room for both! I have had a bunch of dishwashers, starting in the 60s. Never have I had one that is so poorly designed. From the complaints I have read I guess Im lucky it still works! I am so disappointed but I guess Im stuck with it. To be fair we did buy our second Samsung French door fridge and love it. I have this fridge for 1.5 years. Love the size, but milk is always going sour before the expiry date; cheese molding; and leftovers didnt last. Rationalized all these things - must be leaving the milk out too long, must have dirty kids hands touching the cheese, etc. Because the digital temperature reading said it was 34 deg in the fridge, it must be accurate right? Wrong! Verification by 3 separate mercury and digital thermometers show that the fridge compartment temp runs 40-50 deg and thats in winter (wonder how warm it had been running last summer!). This is everywhere in the fridge compartment, top shelf, bottom shelf, door, right next to the ice maker, etc. I cannot find any place in the fridge that runs less than 40 degrees. In hindsight, no wonder food was spoiling! The fridge programming will not allow the temperature to be set any lower than 34F. Service technician has replaced the main control board and the digital touch screen assembly. Have not resolved the problem. I phoned Samsung customer support and was only told that since the factory warranty is expired, they can and will do nothing. Suspecting a design flaw that they are aware of. I will update if ever fixed. Freezer and flex-drawer hold reasonable to programmed temperature (generally 2-6 degrees above programmed temp, sometimes 10 degrees higher), but those compartments have larger programming range. Can program the freezer to -8 and the flex-drawer to 29, so even if they run higher than programmed, it is OK for food storage. But even with fridge set as low as it will go (34), it still is too warm for safe food storage.

I have had issues with my four-door refrigerator the last 6 weeks. We had noticed the frozen foods werent quite as frozen as they should be and then the ice maker stopped dumping ice. I had noticed previously that the ice in the holder always froze against the right-hand side of the bucket and would stop dispensing ice. I then noticed the ice maker would fill with water and would produce ice but never dumped it. I hit the reset button and it worked perfectly. It never would begin normal ice production on its own, and I had to continually hit the reset button for ice to be dumped ever two hours. Now, the freezer has become the fridge! No ice now and all of the food in that portion are thawed, just water in the ice tray that never freezes. I called the helpdesk (almost said it with a straight face) and they could do nothing except send a serviceman to repair the unit at my cost. I asked if they would guarantee their work and she said that they could only try and fix it. I told her to me try was not a guarantee of it being fixed. I asked if they would stand behind the work of their suggested contractors and she said again, they would try and fix it.I am anxiously awaiting a call from the repairman to see the cost of him driving to my house and the estimated charges he thinks he will have. I will ask him if HE stands behind his work since Samsung won’t. If it goes as it has with all of the other customers on this site, I will NOT be buying a new refrigerator from Samsung, and I will contact Lowe’s and tell them of my displeasure with one of their distributors.

I said that was absurd so they said since I was a good long term customer, they would send me to their executive support department (or some similar name). I am now sitting with a very expensive refrigerator that does NOT dispense water. I have spent the last 2 hours trying to fix this and am very fed up with Samsung. Fridge acted up again so called service and they said I would get a refund even though it was no longer on warranty, because parts needed were no longer available. I was told a prorated amount for a refund. So I proceeded with what I was told to do, and then out of the blue I got a text saying my ticket was canceled because it was out of warranty??? Called again and nobody could give me a good answer. But the first guy was very nice and gave me a access number for the refund by Citibank. Well trying to get to the portal was not successful at all and then I get this cancellation **. Definitely not a happy Camper with Samsung. And I have everything Samsung!!!!

In 2013 purchased a Samsung Side-by-side SS Refrigerator Model RS26TDR from Lowes. Worked good for about 8-9 months; came home & found the temperature in refrigerator was 60+ degrees; lost all food - called repairman to fix it & filed a loss on homeowners insurance [I had a rider to cover refrigerator loss]; worked great for about 7 more months; came home & found the same thing. This time in addition to losing food we lost at least $1,000 in **. Called repairman & filed a loss on insurance--has a $500 limit less $100 deductible so I didnt really get anything for the drug loss. Went & purchased a new Whirlpool French Door to replace it & moved it into laundry room to use for drugs which take up at least 1/4 of the space. Was working ok as far as I knew & last week came home & found the same problem 60+ degrees in refrigerator & around 0 in freezer.Cleaned everything out & called a repairman--will not work on Samsung appliances; called every repairman in our area - no one would come. Was told I would have to call a Nationwide Repair Company & gave me a phone number. When I called the minimum trip & diagnosis would be around $200 - then there would be labor & parts charged for repair. Also could not come for at least a week. I had to have a refrigerator to store ** & other drugs requiring refrigeration. Called insurance & cannot file a 3rd claim on same appliance so Im out another refrigerator of food & hoping it was caught early enough not to damage the **. I went out & spent $250 on a used refrigerator for the drugs. Have been researching online & found out that Samsung knew they had this problem, did not do a recall & ended up getting the class action suit against them cancelled. I will never ever buy anything Samsung again.

On the evening of 1-15-16 we noticed our refrigerated items did not seem cool. Since this was a Friday evening we called first thing on Saturday morning. After waiting an hour on hold and then getting a call center in another country, or at least someone who spoke very broken English, we were given a local repair center to call... of course being the weekend and Monday a Holiday we had to wait until Tuesday. The repair center came out and had to order parts. On 1-27-16 the repair center came out with new boards and a compressor. The poor guy worked on this thing for over 5 hours and was not able to repair it. He was in contact with Samsung on the phone and after the repair guy took pictures and gave Samsung everything they needed he left and said he would follow up in the morning. The repair center did follow up with us and said we had been authorized to receive a new unit since the one we had could not be repaired. We were given an authorization number and told Samsung would call in 12-24 hours to set this up with us. 24 hours later... you guessed it. They never called. I called Samsung since they never called us. Again I am speaking with someone who is not familiar with the English language. They have no clue what we are talking about and transferred me all over the place. The last person I spoke to insisted that I mail in the receipt to them so they could authorize this trade. Are you kidding me!!! I already got an authorization to have this exchanged and am just trying to set up a pick-up delivery time. Well I got an email and have now emailed them my receipt. I was now told it could take up to a week for Samsung to contact me and authorize this. This is my 18th day with NO refrigerator and I will be lucky if they ever call me back to set this up. I guess by then it will be close to a month with no Fridge. DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY... EVER!

We have a 2019 convection model that wasnt working when we bought our home. 2 of the 4 burners only worked on High, so we could not adjust them. BTW - owners selling homes are supposed to sign a form claiming that everything works to their knowledge. These owners lied because not only did the Samsung oven not work properly but the Samsung refrigerator ice maker did not work either. We had to pay $100 with the home warranty to get someone to fix both. About a year later, a burner literally blows up! My wife had something on low simmering on one burner with a cover sitting on the other burners that were off. That cover had a glass center that blew up along with the glass that covered the burners. Fortunately, the glass didnt hit my wife or 7 y/o son who were right next to it.I took photos and sent them to Samsung and they sent someone over to review whether it was really what we said, or an impact cause. Guess what? The dude said it was caused by impact and that it would cost us hundreds to fix. No joke! He even said it would cost us $100 for the visit. I told him to get out of my house and good luck getting your $100 from Samsung.

Already had mechanical issues. When calling Samsung if out of warranty THEY will NOT back the product up. Mine was out by 2 months. Just FYI. DO NOT buy the microwave either, major door issues with most models. Read reviews. Again!! Warranty 5 months past will NOT back up KNOWING per Samsung repair rep. Samsung induction electric range model #NE599N1PBSR - almost immediately this stove top was causing grief. Purchased in Spring 2014 before summer I had placed a call to Samsung to report the problems. I was appeased by the customer service person who declared it was my pots. I had purchased very expensive induction pots and the problem still persisted. I had induction pots as soon as I bought the appliance. I thought they might be inferior. It has continued for 2 years with no solution. Samsung has no record of my problem. Over a month ago Samsungs repair person came to investigate - has been 6 weeks, no callback, I have placed 3 subsequent calls, no callback. I spoke with Samsung today... they have no record, and cant do a thing, they will NOT honor warranty even tho the first complaint was lodged before the expiry of the warranty - once again they have no record of that call. Shame on Samsung. Elements wont work, oven shots off, at best I can use 2 elements at one time. I bought 4 Samsung appliances that day and already had the dishwasher serviced also. Such a waste of money!

It was $400 to replace the ice maker plus labor; we didn’t do it because the repairman said there was no guarantee the new one would work for long. Next the alcove where the drinking water station is located was not lined with stainless steel, so we have rust stains on the front of our white refrigerator!! In 2011, we bought a Samsung dishwasher and French door refrigerator. The dishwasher had problems from the first month, with basket clips breaking, and jamming the jets. They knew this was a widespread problem, but wouldnt switch out our unit. I left negative feedback on their site, which they removed (it was all factual), and sent me a warning email that they would ban me from commenting again. I switched it for an LG (no problems at all). Now, the fridge isnt working. It started making a loud rattling noise this afternoon, and a quick online search showed me that there is a class action lawsuit against them because the twin cooling system freezes over, and your fridge/freezer no longer cool/freeze. This company is a joke. Dont give them your money. Customer service is the worst, and they dont care if the product fails.

Terrible design on water dispenser. It actually dispenses back at an angle, making it impossible to fill water bottles, but worse causes a constant drip of water that did not make it into any container. There is no reservoir for overflow, so once the shallow holding area is full, water gets all over the floor, when opening the door. Dont have the model number, but it is the model sold at Lowes in 2012, with French doors, bottom freezer, and dual ice makers.

My side-by-side Samsung refrigerator, model RS265TDRS, was purchased in December 2010, so its about 3.5 years old. Very expensive unit. It started making noise sounding like a generator - so loud, I was afraid something was breaking in there. When I opened the refrigerator door it would stop, then start again when the door was closed. We moved the food into another refrigerator and freezer, unplugged this unit, and made arrangements with Samsung for a service call. (That itself was an adventure: Samsung rep never responded to email; the phone number in the refrigerator manual was for mobile phone service; the online form for a service request didnt work under several browsers. Finally used live chat and had the chat rep fill out the service request for me.)Two weeks later, I plugged in the unit in preparation for the service techs visit. No noise. The service tech called me to confirm the appointment, then suggested we cancel the service call, because (a) with no noise, he cant really diagnose a problem; (b) chances are it was just ice build-up and may never happen again; (c) removing the panel to get at the fan means removing all tech, because everything is attached to the panel, and that means replacing the panel because you cant just put it back on after its been taken off; and (d) something like his labor and the panel wouldnt be covered by warranty anyway after 3.5 years. These are expensive refrigerators. I like lots of things about it, but I think its ridiculous that I should have to unplug my refrigerator every now and then to make sure ice doesnt build up, and its ridiculous that this problem wouldnt be covered under a warranty. For anyone who has the same fan-sounds-like-a-generator problem, unplug it for a while and save yourself the hassle of getting in touch with Samsung. Im really hoping this solves the problem.

A few years ago, I bought a Samsung oven/range/stove. Today, I pressed the self-clean button. The oven status display started beeping and displayed an error code E-0E and flashed an icon of a padlock. I researched trouble shooting, tried to reset, powered cycled, etc. Nothing worked. The oven no longer works - it only flashes the display - E-0E and there is no way to stop it. I called Samsung and after getting a magnifying glass and super bright light to read the M/C number and serial number ON THE BOTTOM OF THE OVEN, the lady told me the unit was out of warranty (big surprise). She then told me that for about $300.00 (about 40% of the price of the oven), I could buy a warranty and it would cover the repair. I said no - so they transferred me to a service number where they informed me it would cost about $225.00 for a service call to diagnose the problem. I asked them why the oven was equipped with a self-destruct button - and how it is possible that an oven could die after barely 2 years of light use. No answer.

I purchased The Stainless Samsung French Door with 2 drawers - Bottom Drawer Freezer - (Model #RF24FSEDBSR/AA) March 2016. I had issues from the first day. Ice maker was putting out approx 10 cubes per day. The cubes looked frostbitten. Water leaking from ice maker down the front of the refrigerator. Ice maker wasnt sealed properly causing moisture inside fridge. I have had many issues with the ice maker and it was replaced three times. I had another issue where my freezer stopped freezing and I lost the entire contents. Tech told me to turn it into my insurance, which I didnt. All within the first year. Since I was having so many issues Samsung gave me a free ONE TIME service call to replace another ice maker. I continued to have issues with the ice maker and it finally stopped working altogether. I thought mine was the only one. Come to find out there are so many others with the same issues. I contacted Samsung again once I knew there were ongoing issues and mine was not the only one. I explained that I had a failed back surgery with restrictions on lifting and these 20 lb bags of ice are not easily handled. I told them that I wanted what I paid for - A working fridge, freezer and ice maker. They ignored my request. This fridge was over $3000. SO FAR they have completely ignored me.

Unfortunately, I fell in love with its center drawer and purchased a 4-door Samsung Refrigerator Freezer 3 and a half years ago, for $3200.00, without doing proper research. The model is RF24FSEDBSR and was manufactured in Sept of 2014. I still love the center drawer, but it is not enough to make up for the rest of the appliance. This is a prime example of a company that thinks highly of itself but doesnt care that it sells absolute junk. The number of problems and repairs for the ice maker, add up to this being the worst purchase I have ever made and that is saying something. I have put up with months and months of temporary fixes, thawing with hairdryers, mopping up pooling water on the floor of the refrigerator section and just doing without ice.Recently, I have had 3 service calls for the ice maker. The ice maker freezes solid and wont dispense ice. Then, I need to move all my refrigerated food to a cooler and my frozen food to the outside freezer; turn off the entire unit for 2 days, with both doors propped open; and put an air circulator/warmer inside, just so the repairman can pry the completely frozen icemaker out without cracking the wall of the refrigerator. On the last service call, he replaced the entire ice maker for about $550.00. My total out of pocket for repairs and service is about $850.00. I fully expect that amount to grow. Now, it sort of works, but makes very little ice, (which will not be enough with summer coming).I cannot get cubed ice, just crushed ice; there is water dripping down the front of the refrigerator and it is a constant source of aggravation. Samsung wasnt sympathetic or helpful when I talked with them, and they suggested that I should have purchased their 5-year Samsung Service Agreement for $1750.00 when I had a chance. Really? They were supposed to call me back (within 24 hours) 10 months ago, and Im still waiting. Complete waste of time, money, effort, energy and resources. Do not ever buy a Samsung refrigerator because they are expensive junk, was the advice of my repair person, who has owned an appliance repair business for many years. I could have saved myself lots of frustration, and money, if I had done my research.

Samsung Refrigerator RF 267 Series. We have been very unhappy with our Samsung Refrigerator. We bought it approx 6 years ago and have numerous expensive repairs. I purchased 4 Samsung appliances for my kitchen and had to repair 3 out of the 4. But by far, the stove has been the worst. Since the beginning, the stove would not keep the set temperature. I would preheat it, it would hit the set temperature and then begin declining after about 5 minutes. Significantly declining- continuously dropping. I had to have a repair person out 3 times to fix it- which meant I had to wait at home 4 hours each time. I was promised a refund 3 different times when they deemed it irreparable. I would be waiting for my refund so I could purchase a different (not Samsung) oven and would call them back only to be told that my refund had been denied (even after receiving refund acceptance texts) for various reasons. They never contacted me to tell me that it had been denied- just left me waiting. Each time, I was asked to resend a different document (receipt, picture of serial number, etc) that I had already sent them previously. Each time I called (a total of 6 times), I had to wait on hold for at least an hour. I would be promised, promised, promised that they would take care of me and then nothing. The last customer service representative I had even refused to read documentation of my experience to explain my frustration. So...the product is faulty and customer service is lacking. I bought model RF217ACPN./XAA (freezer drawer on bottom, french door refrig on top) and it died in less than a year.... Drawers filled with water and starts making this horrible sound non-stop. Samsung has sent people here FOUR TIMES and the issue persists. After HOURS of phone calls/complaints/pleads with them to get people out to fix it, they kept saying we are now out of warranty, even though the issue has never been fixed since day one.... Finally, they sent out a tech who said it can not be fixed but I am now in limbo waiting for a replacement or buy back... They are trying to wear me down but they have picked the wrong person as I will move hell and high water for justice... We were so happy when we bought our first new fridge, and it didnt last a year and all the time and days off of work for technicians to come out and it STILL isnt fixed. Nobody has time to deal with this every few months and no one has an extra 2,000 to buy a new fridge a year after buying the 1st one. There has to be lemon laws about this and I am shocked to see how many people have the same experience. I found a class action suit everyone should look into. Even if your model is not listed, sign up... If it falls through, we should start a new one because there are too many similar stories here of people getting ripped off by Samsung! About 6 months after purchasing and installing our OTR Samsung microwave, the popcorn setting began to burn up the bags of popcorn so we quit using that setting. Then roughly 8 months later (and after the warranty ran out) our microwave started to turn itself off and give an SE error message. After doing this for three or four times, the front panel just went out and never came back on regardless of our attempts to revive it.I went online and began to research the problem and it is very obvious that this is an inherent problem with Samsung OTR microwaves despite their previous top rating. And most of the reports state that the replacement costs are prohibitive and the replacement parts also malfunction. Now we are stuck with a $350.00 piece of junk and it is not even 1 1/2 years since the purchase! Planned obsolescence? I bought this microwave because it was highly rated and because it matched my other Samsung kitchen appliances. Oh well, I cant get my money back and it doesnt make any sense to repair it - so it goes to the landfill. Ridiculous! I wont buy another one, but I do wish that everyone knew about the issues with these microwaves prior to even considering this brand of microwave oven, especially because this is an ongoing problem and Samsung is well aware of it.

Purchased a Samsung over the stove microwave in July 2011. Did not get the extended warranty. After about 8 months the door was broken. We called and Samsung had it fixed with no charge to us as it was under warranty. Two weeks ago, the microwave beeped and showed an SE code. Nothing works. It is completely dead. I have spent MANY hours trying to get this problem resolved. I have searched online and it seems as many others have had this same problem. I finally was able to contact someone at Samsung who told me they knew about the problem and they were fixing them even though they were out of warranty. I was given a reference number and told to call another number. When I called that number, I was told it would not be fixed for free as it was not my model number that they were having the problem with. After thinking about it for a few days and reading more online, I found that there are lots of people with this problem and it involves several different model numbers, including mine. I called Samsung again and was on the phone over an hour trying to get them to fix this for me. They kept telling me since I didnt buy the extended warranty they would not help me. Now I understand about the warranty. I never buy the extended warranty because I expect a product to be made well and last a reasonable amount of time. I understand that sometimes things happen, but I feel that when it is a problem so many people are having and there are different model numbers involved they should have a recall on them and fix them!! The outcome of my last call with Samsung is they would pay for the part which is $35.00 and we pay the service call, $85.00 or more. Sorry this is still not acceptable to me. If you make an over the stove microwave then I guess it should be made to USE over the stove without breaking within 2 years. We paid $399.00 for this microwave which isnt cheap and should last longer! PLEASE let me know if you can help or where else I can turn. I really dont have the money to replace this microwave and dont feel I am being unreasonable thinking they should make good on their product. Thank you in advance for your help.

After six months from date of purchase, the fan would go on by itself. I wasnt using the microwave or the stove and would be in another room. Called for service and the technician said it was a circuit breaker fuse. He told me once he fixed it, it would never happen again. Well, its been a year now and it is happening again. Also when the light under the microwave is on, it will go off and on as the microwave door is opened and closed. The only way I feel this junk is safe is to unplug it when Im not using it. Is there a lawsuit going on I need to know about?

Bought a Samsung microwave almost two years ago, and this is the second time we’ve had a major repair. Just before the warranty expired, the fan went out. It was challenging to get Samsung to agree the repair was covered and then to schedule the repair. Now the magnetron tube and couple other parts need to be replaced, parts and labor costing around $275. I’m debating whether to sink more money into this thing. When it works, it’s great, but with this record of repairs, I’m hesitant to invest more $$.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher serial # DW80F600UTW at Home Depot in October 2013. The machine worked well until May 2015 when it began flashing an Error Code- smart auto +heavy=overfill. I contacted an approved service provider who contacted Samsung Technical Support and was informed that: a) There was a bulletin on that model regarding overfill issues. b) Three parts were required to resolve the issue. c) These parts would cost over $400. The repair technician advised me that this was a manufacturing problem and that I, as a consumer, should not have to pay the bill to have the problem repaired. I contacted Samsung and spoke with a customer service representative who referred me to the Executive Customer Relations Department who informed me that Samsung is not willing to provide the necessary parts to resolve the error code.I am not satisfied with this response. I purchased a machine that requires the parts mentioned above to work properly. I am sure it is not Samsungs policy to create machines worth several hundred dollars to only work for one year. This is not a problem created through customer use, misuse, or abuse; it is a problem created through faulty manufacturing. I am willing to pay the labor to have the machine repaired but I believe it is Samsungs responsibility to provide the necessary parts.

We purchased our freezer on the bottom refrigerator on April 2013. In November 2014, we noticed hairline cracks beginning in the door bins. By January, one bin lost its front and cracked almost the whole way across. Also, having cleaned it out after the New Year, we noticed cracks in two more bins. Now my call to customer service, Maam, do you consider this normal wear and tear? WHAT! 19 months old means cracked and broken shelving. Well we can send you to customer service. He thought it would be a good idea if I purchased the 3 bins from parts he will give me the number. NO I would not like to purchase new bins every 19 months. Well we will give you a ONE-TIME-only replacement. Oh yeah, the same exact bins. They have NOT been revamped, they never heard of this problem before. DO NOT PURCHASE SAMSUNG.

I spent over $2500 for a new Samsung counter depth refrigerator in mid 2015
I spent over $2500 for a new Samsung counter depth refrigerator in mid 2015 after I remodel my kitchen. It works fine for about 1 1/2 year. After 1 1/2 year, I started to have problems. A year ago the freezer will not go down to the temperature I set. Even I set it to minor 8 degree F, it only went down 15 degree F. I was advised by some website to reset the refrigerator by turning off the power overnight. I did and it worked again. Six months ago, no ice came out from the ice maker. I open the ice maker and found it completely frozen. I turned the power off and blow some warm air to melt the ice. After I removed the ice, it worked again.A couple weeks ago, the freezer warmed up again. This time, I know resetting the refrigerator can only solve the problem for a few months so I called Samsung service center. A technical came, open the freezer and spent half an hours checking. He told me that defrost sensor went bad and the ice built up blocking the cold air from entering the freezer. Also the cover needed to be replaced. I ask him if the repair will take care of the ice maker frozen problem. He told me that it is a different problem and many people have the same problem due to design issue and Samsung offered to repair it free even warranty expired. I called Samsung but with no luck, Samsung refused to have it fixed. Repairing the ice maker will cost another $400.The technician left and 2 days later, another technician came with the parts. He did some more checking and told me that the cover did not need to be replaced but the control board did not send power to the heater. Unfortunately, the previous technician did not check the control board so he need to order the control board and will come back later. He told me that I should purchase extended warranty. I went to online chat with Samsungs Chat site and was told that I can purchase extend warranty even the refrigerator warranty expired. The gentlemen even told me that the I should get some discount for the current repair if I elected to purchase extended warranty. He gave me the number to call.I called Samsung extended warranty department and found out that extend warranty cost $550 a year and will be effective 30 days after all repairs were done and I needed to show them receipts of all repairs. There will be no discount to current repair either. I was surprised that extended warranty cost $550/year for a refrigerator. The conclusion was the refrigerator will experience problems very often, maybe an average of once a year because average repair cost will be 4 to 5 hundred dollar each time. This policy tells us to expect Samsung refrigerator to be repaired once a year. This morning, I found out that the water dispenser at the refrigerator started leaking. Oh boy, another problem I have to deal with. I did a quick estimate. It will cost me about $1450 to have everything repaired and spend $550 for a one year extended warranty. That is $2000. Should I buy a new one instead. My last refrigerator was a 20 years old GE. It is still in the garage working fine. The other one was a 35 years old Whirlpool. I gave it away when I purchased the Samsung. My GE and Whirlpool gave me a combined 55 years of trouble free service while the Samsung gave me 3 problems in 2 1/2 years.

Purchased model 4 years ago. Had all sorts of problems. The control pad froze up continually. Lights & fan came on randomly by itself. We had service to fix it on numerous occasions. The repairs were in vain. Could not be fixed. Samsung finally within the warranty period exchanged the unit for a new one. Well, we had the same problems. Several repairs and 3 years later, the unit died No power. Since the warranty expired, Samsung refused to replace or repair. A service call was $165 plus parts. We purchase a new GE microwave. RF266ABPN - Wrote a complaint on here in August 2013 about our Samsung 2-door fridge which kept pooling water and the back inside kept freezing with frost. We spent so much time always removing items, defrosting, scooping out water, etc. etc. UPDATE!! Finally hubby was able to fix problem himself. We have had no problems for 2+ years. He turned off energy saver mode and put paper clips in the drain tubes located at the bottom back of fridge to keep them open. They are used as spacers so probably any similar item would work. We are still not sure if the energy saver turnoff or paper clips did the trick but... after countless repairman and useless Samsung, just wanted to report what worked for us! No problems for 2+ years! I weirdly got a reminder about this review so came here and saw still horrific reviews... Hope this helps at least one person!Updated on 08/11/2018: We officially gave up on this refrigerator and brand in 2016. Our original problem (freezing/icing over) came back in full force, freezing, motoring, water pooling, even after my husband was able to temporarily fix it. Bottomline: We took it to the dump, This model is severely flawed.

Water leak inside. 9 years old same old problem. I have to unplug let the ice inside melt. Unload everything. I have no idea how many times I have had to do this. Call Samsung - was told it could not be level (give me a break). Why does it not do it all the time if it is not level, Samsung should come out with a fix for this. Also they told me to call a local Samsung repair, what a joke. I do not think they know how to fix the problem. Why do I want to pay for a service call. UNHAPPY IN TENN.

I wrote in to request a refund on my unit, something I found they were providing to many others in my identical situation. Not only did they say no, but when I asked for the name/number of a manager or supervisor I was told there werent any for me to speak to. The unit I have has well know defects for which there are no solutions. Ice freezing on the coils, under the crisper, and water leaking on the floor under and around the unit. Refunds have been given to many others with products -some even older than mine. Samsung has had these issues for many years, in fact ConsumerAffairs published a report in 2009 which speaks to these issues, obviously still ongoing. https://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2009/08/samsung_settlement.html#It is unfortunate that Samsung has not improved the product, it is also unfortunate and regrettable that they wont apply the same level of service and attention to each case. Seeing so many others who have attained refunds (even posting pictures of the checks) while I am repeatedly told no is disheartening. I will do a lot of research and think very carefully before buying another Samsung product and I would strongly suggest others do the same, regardless of price/discount.Bill **

Purchase the microwave in 2016. I have many Samsung products that I really like. This microwave stopped working and it gives me an error code. Samsung requested that I get a repair from a local repair shop that they recommended. I spent over $100 getting it diagnosed only to find out they could not fix it without replacing the motherboard. Samsung did not pay me back for the diagnosis they recommended. They told me that it was out of warranty and they would not pay for it. I was told I couldnt cook on my stove with the microwave above it??? I wish they would repair or replace it. Due to their neglect I will never buy Samsung microwaves again.

Our only regret was not getting the 85”!! Though still satisfied with the 75”. After this, it will be hard to settle for anything less. You won’t regret purchasing this product. It brings old and new to life. You will feel like you are there in person. Detail and colour quality will blow you away! A good investment! Enjoy! We bought the Samsung double oven glass top electric range in January 2016
We bought the Samsung double oven glass top electric range in January 2016 for a bargain basement price of $1719, plus tax. Because they discontinued basic black we had to get the black stainless. In November, while wiping the upper oven door with a damp cloth some of the black stainless finish peeled off. I called Samsung Customer Service, if you want to call it that. They asked me to send a picture of the damage. They got back to me and called it consumer wear. I said, no its a defective finish. We went back and forth and finally, on December 5th they called me back and said its cosmetic and not covered. I said, the finish failed, and am I supposed to look at this for the next 8 years. They said I can get it fixed myself. In addition, the oven racks are so flimsy that when I had a 15 pound turkey in the oven the rack collapsed. Fortunately the other rack was right below and I was able to fix it. You have to remember to keep the pan in the center of the rack. Dealing with Samsung is worse than dealing with the VA. I will never buy another Samsung appliance. After reading the other reviews, Im really looking forward to some of the other problems I can have.
