We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator that failed to cool less than 1 year after the purchase date. After calling Samsung customer service it took three repair companies to finally tell us that they could not work on the product because of a lack of training on closed system refrigerators; these vendors were provided by Samsung. After numerous phone calls to the Samsung Customer Service Department, I realized that nearly each time I was talking to representatives in several different locations to include the Philippines, the Virgin Islands and South Carolina. Eventually after my persistence and threats, Samsung arranged for me to return the refrigerator to the store I purchased it from. This happened nearly two weeks after we purchased another brand.Lastly, we were promised a maximum of $ 200.00 compensation for the nearly $ 600.00 of food that was spoiled. We were required to provide items and the price. We ended up emailing this information at least 7 times to their Executive Customers Service Department and have yet to receive reimbursement. It has been 64 days since we the unit became inoperable and numerous promises were made! To date, we have not been reimbursed!! We will NEVER buy or recommend SAMSUNG again!!!

My kitchen was in desperate need of a makeover so I decided to purchase all new products from Sears and selected Samsung. I so wish that I would have checked with Consumer Affairs first before purchasing (3) Samsung products in 2013 - all of which have had issues. I purchased a double door black refrigerator, a black microwave as well as a black gas range. My refrigerator from day one has had issues with the ice maker not making ice and the refrigerator temperature not working properly. The worst product of all was the microwave oven that caught fire while I granddaughter was cooking a hotdog on a paper plate. The plate caught on fire. There were sparks and flames literally shooting from the microwave. I didnt purchase the extended warranty on the microwave because my experience with good microwaves is that they simply stop working after about 6-7 years. They dont catch on fire! I paid $329 for the microwave and Samsung wanted to charge me $325 for the repairs and continue to give me the run around. The matter is still not resolved. So if you are reading this review... save yourself the trouble. Please do not purchase any Samsung product!

My Samsung microwave (model SMH9187) is a few months past its warranty period and is no longer working due to the SE error. The unplug/reconnect fix worked for 12 hours the first time and 10 minutes the second time. I should have done more research before shopping for a microwave. I cannot believe Consumer Reports rated this junk number 1. Do not buy Samsung microwaves.

We purchased the French Door Refrigerator with center variable temp drawer
We purchased the French Door Refrigerator with center variable temp drawer four years ago. The ice maker stopped working 2 years ago. The center drawer ices up, then melts all over the floor so we had to turn it down to the lowest temp and now its just another drawer. Now, four years in, the refrigerator will not keep food cold. Its a PIECE OF JUNK!

To Tim Baxter or anyone else that cares about Samsungs reputation and how their terrible customer service and falsely advertised products, dont settle well with the consumer. I am at my wits end with your company and its appalling customer service! For 4 months now Ive tried to get your company to take ownership for a refrigerator it sold us, that claimed to offer a Flex Zone with 4 temp settings, all the way down to -1 Celsius. Tim, we both went to High-school at took basic science classes, but the techs and people in your Office of the President all seem to have either not taken the class or failed it. My wife and I have had food spoiling in that drawer for months, because it will NOT freeze as it should given that 0 degrees Celsius is freezing, therefore anything colder that zero is at least capable of freezing. Well nothing freezes in that drawer. Ive had 3 service people come out, who all are being told the same thing from Samsung that I am being told, which is that the refrigerator works as it should. Tim, please explain to me how its working as it should when food does not freeze in a drawer that offers a -1 degree Celsius setting. Your office of the president, at 888-480-5675 and Loshanda at extension **, has ignored 7 messages I have left for her with the receptionist, and two voicemails. She literally has decided to blow me off. The last time she called me, before Thanksgiving, she told me that Mr. ** its not supposed to freeze, since -1 degrees Celsius is also 29 degrees Fahrenheit, therefore its 29 degrees above freezing... I was without a reply for a few minutes. How do you politely tell a person that they dont know that Celsius and Fahrenheit both measure temperatures, and that -1 Celsius and 29 Fahrenheit are the same below freezing temperature. After Loshandas obvious failure to care to call me back anymore, because she believes its working fine, I called and asked for a supervisor in your Office of the President. Ive been told twice there is no such thing, that I just have to leave a message for Loshanda to call me back. I’ve done that once a week for 7 weeks. I’m exhausted and utterly disgusted with the horrible service from your company. I dont know which is worse, that your techs believe -1 degrees Celsius is not supposed to freeze the food, or that your Office of the Preside could care less at this point, after my wife and I have lost hundreds of dollars in food that has gone bad, Ive wasted hours with techs coming out telling me the same thing, and more hours on the phone talking to your general Samsung support line that offers no help but to suggest I have yet another tech come out, who will waste all our time again. Tim, my wife and I own thousands of dollars in merchandise from you all, from phones, to BluRay players, to TVs etc. Is this how I should be treated? I want Loshanda at least reprimanded or at best fired, and I want and deeply hope for your help in resolving this matter. Your refrigerator does not do as it was sold to do, its that simple. And I need this fixed. Please Tim. Ive left voicemails for others in your Office of the President, they too have ignored me.

We purchased a set of Samsung kitchen appliances. Unfortunately, we purchased these before we moved into our home and shortly after we began to use the appliances, the warranty on some of the appliances had expired. Fortunately, the microwave had a longer warranty and we were able to have that fixed without charge. The dishwasher on the other hand had been one issue after another. We have had to make 3 service calls at our expense and the problem is not yet fixed. We have already spent enough to have purchased another dishwasher - and all we have to show is a broken dishwasher that can not wash a load of dishes. Very disappointed with this dishwasher and after reading the reviews of water soaked floors, I am afraid to risk having it looked at for the 4th repair... Probably better off to just purchase a new dishwasher, but what a waste of money this has been.

I too have a Samsung refrigerator Model RF217ACWP French door, bottom freezer that drips water under the vegetable bins. Bought it in July 2012 and had the problem the first time just before the warranty expired. The repairman said that it is a common problem with this model. It was fixed under warranty but now a year later it does the same thing. Im sure it will cost a few hundred dollars to fix again but why should I put money every year into it. I too will never buy another Samsung product. Our 50 plasma TV started having problems 2 years after we bought it with no help from Samsung. They said that is why they encourage people to buy the extended warranty.

We bought this Samsung 4-door French refrigerator ($2200) in July of 2010, so weve had it only about 36 months. Today we noticed everything in the freezer was thawed, but thought maybe we somehow left the freezer drawer ajar. By 4 hours later there was water everywhere and the ice maker leaked into the fridge section. Now weve emptied it completely, trying to salvage some of the frozen meat but lost all other frozen stuff which had gone to melt stage. We now realize it hasnt been coming on at all, so something obviously happened. Hubby pulled it out and didnt notice anything, but after reading all these posts, I think were facing the same thing - which is that new appliances are unreliable poor Quality. My parents had their fridges for 37 years. No exaggerating. What is wrong with this picture?

Purchased Family Hub refrigerator and had installed last Friday. On Wednesday the calendar would not sync with Google. I called Samsung and was told that with the new update the Calendar, White Board and Memo apps are being discontinued. I purchased this refrigerator with the Family Hub for the calendar so I could keep track of my familys appointments and see them at a glance. Nowhere on the web did it mention the calendar was being discontinued. The Family Hub feature cost me $500 over the same refrigerator w/o the family hub. Samsung knew they were working on removing these apps yet did not (as far as I can tell) let anyone know. The customer service gentleman that I worked with said that the businesses that sold these hadnt been told. Feel this was a total waste of my money as I didnt really need to get a new one, but wanted the convenience of the Family Hub calendar and since I gave away my standalone refrigerator and standalone freezer I cant really send this one back.

I bought a Samsung fridge in December 2013. Three months ago, the vegetable drawer had a lot of water. I called customer service to report the problem. They sent someone to fix it. After a week later, the same problem happened. The repair man changed some parts. Two weeks later, I found same problem. I told them to exchange a new one. They said they always try to fix, but never get fixed. Today is my 7th time to call them to fix the same problem. They still refused to exchange me a new one since they never be able to fix. I promise, Samsung is the worst product and service Ive ever got. I really dont know what should I do next. I promise myself I would never ever buy Samsung products from now on.

Our dishwasher didnt clean very well, we often had to redo dishes. At about 11 months after we bought it, it stopped working altogether. It was still under warranty, but we had also purchased an extended warranty. We called Samsung, they referred us to an authorized repair shop. We contacted them, a guy came out and said it was a broken drain motor. He said its a common problem in Samsung dishwashers. He said hed order the part and let us know when it comes in. He expected it to take 1-2 weeks. After 2 weeks without hearing from him, we contacted his shop. They said the parts had not arrived, well call you when they do. Another 2 weeks go by and we havent heard from them so we called them again and asked why its been a month already and we still have no dishwasher. We were told the technician would call us back. After another week, we had not heard from the technician so we contacted Samsung. Samsung said theyd check into it and call us back but after 2 more weeks, we hadnt heard from them. We then contacted Samsung via online complaint and were told there was never a ticket generated. We did a live chat, gave them the info we had, whom we had talked to about the parts etc. They had no record of it. I have a 3-page transcript of the conversation. We sent another copy of our purchase agreement (we had done this the first time) and heard from them 2 days later. They told us we were out of warranty and had to talk with the extended warranty people. This is after we had reported the problem while we were still under warranty (When we called the first time, they (Samsung) looked it up, told us we were still under warranty and thats when they gave us the info on the authorized technician shop to contact). They told us we have to contact the extended warranty company, which we did. They submitted for payment from Samsung so we could get the drain motor, and the drain hose. Samsung refused to pay for the drain hose part or labor. They said theyd pay for the motor but not the hose. They told us that we have to pay for and install the hose ourselves. They consider the hose a consumer installed part. This is a built in, under counter dishwasher. We tried to explain that it makes no sense since the drain hose is connected to the drain motor. If the hose does not drain properly, it could be the cause of the motor failure. Besides that, if we mess with putting the hose on and the motor fails again, they could come back at us to say we didnt install the hose correctly, therefore another fix of the motor wouldnt be covered under the warranty. We are quite frustrated at this point and dont know where to turn or what to do next.

I will NEVER buy another Samsung product after the experiences I have had with this refrigerator model #RFG298HDBP. Water from the door dispenser would drip enough to fill up the reservoir and it had to be constantly maintained. While during the warranty period, the lower icemaker never worked properly or regularly. Samsung sent out a repairman who replaced the icemaker at no charge (under warranty). The replacement was of equal poor quality as it operated for a month or so before problems started. Water would overfill and spill into the ice bin... Finally, we decided to shut off the lower icemaker. The warranty had expired and I was not going to pay for a service call because I was beginning to see more problems on the horizon. The upper icemaker would produce ice at a much slower pace, but we survived. Then the water leaking into the meat/cheese drawer began. Puddles of clean water that you could splash in the drawer... I started keeping a hand towel at the back to absorb the water and every few days I would replace the water soaked towel with a dry one. Sometimes the wet towel is frozen stiff. Then, a layer of ice was developing under the meat drawer! Water was dripping under it and freezing up. If the layer built up enough over a weeks time, you would have difficulty sliding the drawer in and out and closing the drawer. As a new maintenance routine I take contents from the drawer, pull the drawer completely out of the refrigerator, scrape out the ice on the bottom of the refrigerator cabinet, then put the drawer back in. Can you believe this? Many of my fresh vegetables are freezing (ruining) in the refrigerated section... not in the drawers but sitting on the shelf. At least once a week I have to go through the de-icing routine, maybe more often depending on the ice build up. As of yesterday, the door dispenser of ice and water has stopped operating. Nothing comes out of the dispenser. Zero.Like everyone else on ConsumerAffairs, I called Samsung who referred me to their service center. I do not care to put anymore money into this lousy lemon. I would feel so guilty to sell this second hand to anyone else! But I dont want it anymore! I have never, never, never had such a terrible appliance. When we spent several thousand dollars to buy this Samsung refrigerator, I had waited a long time to buy something that would last a while and be maintenance free. This has been anything but what I had hoped for. Wheres some help from our government to act upon the company that is stealing from consumers???

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher serial # DW80F600UTW at Home Depot in October 2013. The machine worked well until May 2015 when it began flashing an Error Code- smart auto +heavy=overfill. I contacted an approved service provider who contacted Samsung Technical Support and was informed that: a) There was a bulletin on that model regarding overfill issues. b) Three parts were required to resolve the issue. c) These parts would cost over $400. The repair technician advised me that this was a manufacturing problem and that I, as a consumer, should not have to pay the bill to have the problem repaired. I contacted Samsung and spoke with a customer service representative who referred me to the Executive Customer Relations Department who informed me that Samsung is not willing to provide the necessary parts to resolve the error code.I am not satisfied with this response. I purchased a machine that requires the parts mentioned above to work properly. I am sure it is not Samsungs policy to create machines worth several hundred dollars to only work for one year. This is not a problem created through customer use, misuse, or abuse; it is a problem created through faulty manufacturing. I am willing to pay the labor to have the machine repaired but I believe it is Samsungs responsibility to provide the necessary parts.

Purchased a french door model in 13 that has worked great. Never missed a beat, no complaints. Based on this success bought another more expensive with cold door in Nov 15. Last week which is early Nov 16 the center drawer control panel failed to respond to input. Samsung did send an authorized tech out that diagnosed the issue and had to replace the entire drawer which is currently on order. That is a big fail to me. Replacing an entire drawer vs the panel is poor design and worse poor reliability. This refrigerator has hardly been used.Had I known what the reliability was of this product I would have either purchased an extended warranty which you cannot do with Samsung after the purchase or purchased another brand. I am now stuck with the knowledge that if something fails it will be expensive to fix and no way to lessen the pain with an extended warranty. Buyer beware. I purchased my 2nd Samsung refrigerator based on how great the first one has treated me...

Our Samsung 26 cu ft french door refrigerator (RF267AERS) is only 4 years old and were shopping for a new one. The coils in the back of the fridge behind the plastic panel freeze up and block the fan. The fan gets louder and louder until we unload the whole thing and take an entire day to defrost it. Sometimes the ice on the coils does melt and then it flows down under the deli drawer and inside the deli drawer because of the frozen up drain hole (also behind the plastic panel). I often have to break up sheets of ice under the deli drawer as well. The seals on the fridge doors are already breaking too! I called Samsung and gave them my model number and told them the problem and they told me to call a certified repair company. From the research Ive done online that will cost me $300 and they will just do what we have done which is to defrost the coils, then it will just happen all over again. Ill never buy another Samsung.

I would never purchase or recommend a Samsung appliance again after our experience with our Samsung refrigerator that we purchased in Fall 2013. After owning the refrigerator for ~9 months, I began to notice water accumulating under the deli drawer. I thought it might just be normal and cleaned it up every month or so. Around 15 months after purchase, I noticed the water accumulating more often and to a greater degree. Water would spill out of the fridge when we opened the doors (sometimes sheets of ice). I called Samsung and the refrigerator was not under warranty any longer.Over a period of the next 9 months, Samsung sent out 3 different repair companies. None of the companies could fix the problem. Water and ice continued to accumulate, spilling all over the floor whenever the fridge was opened. Large amounts of mildew grew due to the moisture. The fridge had to be shop-vacuumed monthly to clean out all of the water. After Samsung telling us that there was nothing else that they could do, we finally purchased a new refrigerator from a different manufacturer. We moved the fridge to our garage and it is now going to have to be hauled away due to the continual growth of mildew due to the water accumulation problem. We are so frustrated that we spent $2000+ on this refrigerator and it cannot even be used in our garage!

We purchased a top of the line Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80H995OU5/AA. After less than two days of use, it would no longer complete a wash cycle and the door would not stay closed. Upon further inspection we also discover the rear panel of the cabinet was severely bent. After a call to the local dealer, he called back the next day reporting that Samsung would not let him service the machine, but only a Samsung Service Center. Samsung wanted two business days to contact the center to set the appointment. After some discussion they agreed to contact the Local Authorized Service Center (Remedy Appliance Service and Repair) while I was on the line. The Samsung Customer rep. disconnected the line without the connection. I tracked the Authorized Service Center down and offered to pay them to look at the machine. An Authorized Service Representative looked at the machine, determined it was not repairable. He took pictures and told us Samsung would call in one to two business days. They did not. I called Samsung, talking to several service representatives. My request was to remove the machine and return my money, as the machine worked less than 24 hours. The washer cost $1,600. I have now been on the phone with four customer service representatives including executive customer service. I have been told after further extensive processing, I might have my money returned in 14 to 21 days, however the process they describe is about four days, requiring further extensive time on our part. 5E code came up. I watched several videos and read several instructions for accessing the control panel on 9207 Samsung microwaves, but the instructions are for control panels located on the main chassis, not on the bottom of the door where it is on an actual 9207. There seems no way of getting into the door to the control panel without cracking the seal on the glass or damaging the stainless steel guard that runs along the bottom front of the door. Any thoughts, any theories? I hope that the pictures help some. In #4 you can see that there were two silver tabs on the leading edge of the door for the front bottom steel strip to hook onto, but pulling those tabs didnt release the strip to gain access to the control panel.

I bought my RSG257AARS side by side refrigerator 4 years ago. Everything was great with it until the compressor stopped working properly and all the coolant leaked. When I called an appliance repair shop they told me that Samsung only lets people who are trained by Samsung repair their fridges. She was very nice and told me where to go to find someone in our service area. Here in the DC/VA/MD area I could initially only find 3 people who would work on my fridge and it took me a week and a half to get an appointment. I lost EVERYTHING in my fridge and freezer. Then, they charged by $300.00 for a visit! Now, less than 90 days later (and the part was only good for 60-day warranty) I am having the SAME problem and now have to call a separate appliance repair place to come fix it, AGAIN! I will NEVER EVER buy another Samsung appliance in my life. The Samsung Customer Service department gives me the runaround. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG Appliance. Even if its the cheapest price and you THINK you are getting a good deal. Go with any other brand and save yourself the headaches.

One year after purchase, just after the warranty period finished, we found water freezing under and in the vegetable drawers. A month later we realized the paint was peeling off the handles. Searches online indicated other customers with the water problem had multiple service calls with no solution. Thinking that perhaps Samsung had found the solution since those calls happened, I tried contacting them. Since I had read of the same problem and the cause, I defrosted my fridge and was able to describe to Samsung exactly what was happening... but they wanted to send a service tech and charge me for the visit. I did not want to go through the useless repairs that other customers have gone through with no guarantee on their repairs, so we have not had a repairman. Every two or three months we defrost the fridge. Now the handles are looking awful and I dont know if they can do anything other than replace them with handles that have the same defect. I would like some real customer service from Samsung, but I just get boilerplate answers.

I bought this refrigerator in 09 and DID get the extended warr., thank god for that. I have had nothing but trouble with it. Today they are coming out again to fix it. The back keeps freezing up. This is getting to be a pain. They said the repairmain will decide it cant be fixed. Well, all I say is I only have a year left on the warranty and it better get fixed right this time or I want another brand. Will never by this brand again.

Overall, my whole family is significantly disappointed. We bought both a fridge and an oven/stove from Samsung, and both of them started to malfunction before we were even done paying them off. The knobs on the stovetop are poorly engineered and will easily turn if something accidentally knocks into them (like a pot handle or your arm)--this has led to stovetops accidentally turning on and burning our dinner multiple times. The lower right stovetop also gets unusually hot and the lower left stovetop works unusually slow, even when the knobs are turned to the same setting--this had led to food burning on the lower right stove even when its on low and left unsupervised for just a couple minutes. Dont even get me started on the fridge that has its flimsy door-shelves breaking off (I realize thats a review for another time).

We have had the Samsung DW80F600 for 2 years and it is not working. Called customer service and ended up in some foreign country with staff who had no idea what to do. The only solution was to call a technician which I did and awaiting for him to show up. I suspect that as with most posts here, the technician will tell us that the repair will cost a few hundred dollars in which case it will be cheaper to buy a new one. WE had a GE dishwasher for 20 years and never had a problem with it. Like their Samsung phones, I suspect they cannot produce good products. Many other good brands to choose from.Updated 9/21/2016 - Samsung has a con system going on. THEY KNOW THERE IS A QUALITY PROBLEM WITH THEIR DISHWASHERS AND THEY CHOOSE TO DO NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. Please read the rest of the post. I promised to let you know what happened with the fix of my dysfunctional Samsung DW80F600, 2 year-old dishwasher.I called the appliance repair company Totem Appliance that was recommended by Samsung and set up an appointment for September 21, 2016. I was told that they cannot tell me over the phone what the problem was until the technician had a chance to diagnose the problem. The fee for this diagnosis I was told is $115. The technician showed up and lo and behold was carrying a replacement part. I asked him what that part was and he told me that this is the part that needs to be replaced. The exact part is the Brake Case Assembly - I believe part # DD82-01111A (as shown on the package). I asked him how he knew what the problem was and his response was that Samsung fielded many such complaints and by now they know what the problem is. Reluctantly I told him to go ahead and fix the problem. The cost for this part is $400 (a new dishwasher costs $600). He pulled the dishwasher out and replaced the bracket case assembly. He turned the dishwasher on to test it and amazingly it did not work. The Smart Auto error was blinking. He said that the dishwasher senses water and we need to leave the dishwasher door open for 24 hours for the water inside to dry or alternatively, he can dry the water himself. I said he should dry the water rather than us wait for 24 hours (not knowing whether we are going to see this company again). He pulled out the dishwasher (again), flipped it over, and unscrewed the bottom panel. Lo and behold, no water to be found, meaning there was no water as he claimed. He then said he needs to look at the ecs sensor. He took it apart, cleaned it and screwed back the bottom panel. He turned the dishwasher on and my goodness, it did not work again. The Smart Auto light was blinking again. He then said he has to call head office. He did call head office and they told him he needs to replace the pcb which is the main control board. He told me that this part is warranted for 5 years. I wanted to know why did he not replace the pcb in the first place and he said that Samsung told them to replace all three parts, regardless of the problem and then charge for the ecs and bracket case assembly only. In other words, since the pcb is under warranty they want to give you the impression that you are getting a so called deal.Since he did not have the pcb on him, nor did he have a replacement ecs sensor, he said that he will return the next day (Thursday, September 22) with the parts and replace them. So what does this all mean - 1. This is one big CON; 2. Rather than first replace the warranty part, namely the pcb, they sell you the most expensive parts first and if the fix does not work, only then they offer a replacement pcb. This to me is cause for a class action lawsuit and perhaps inform the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to trigger a recall. If you all agree with me then lets go for it. We all know by now the problems that Samsung is having with the Galaxy phone suggesting that quality is not part of the Samsung culture and secondly, they think their customers are stupid.

We bought a Samsung Stove Top/Oven last September. On July 31st, a regulator malfunctioned which prevents the gas from turning off. We immediately called Samsung, which (after several phone calls) said that they would give a full refund (instead of paying for the repair). That was their choice, not ours. After two days with no response from Samsung customer service, I called back and (after 40 minutes of hold time... which has been a pretty standard amount of time to wait) I was told my picture of the receipt didnt capture the whole receipt and was asked if I could take it again. I did, sent it into the same email I sent the first and heard nothing for 2 days. I called and (after 40 minutes of hold time) they told me they didnt get it. I resent it and then it was verbally confirmed that they received it and it was adequate. We heard nothing for a day or two and I called back and (after 40 minutes of hold time) they told me it was in process. I explained that we were without an oven and they assured me they understood. Ive called back every 2 or 3 days for a month... always given the same promise that today, someone will call me/email me/contact me which hasnt happened. In one month of dealing with their customer service I have only received one phone call or email from Samsung. Every contact was initiated by me and every email has gone unanswered--even when I request and demand an answer. on August 17th I was told that my refund request was rejected because my receipt was not a valid bill of sale because it didnt have all of the required information (that is, the model number and name of the stove). This was the only receipt I was given, so I called the local store. They sent me some screen shots of all the information they had, which I forwarded to the emails provided to me by Samsung. In the 12 days since, I still have not heard anything from Samsung. They have not called back (as they said they would), they have not answered an email (which they said they will). If I call, I cannot speak to the same person I spoke to the day before, but must listen as this new person assures me they are on my side and want me to get my refund and assure me they will call me back (which NEVER HAPPENS). When I ask to speak to a supervisor (or executive customer service) I wait for 40 minutes and still get zero help. What a COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT the oven has been and what a complete and total mess their customer service has been.

I will never buy another Samsung product again. This dishwasher is our second one; the first one was replaced right away after purchase for not cleaning our dishes. This current one is just as bad, if not worse. Our dishes are never dry. They all need to be dried with a towel since theyre so wet. And the recommended jet dry does not help. The worst part about this product is our dishes are never clean. Samsung has not been the least bit helpful and claims it works just fine. I dont consider dirty dishes acceptable and neither should they. Its unfortunate that so many consumers are unhappy with the product but we are stuck with it. When our Samsung refrigerator died after only 3 yrs., we thought it a fluke and for some unearthly reason we purchased another Samsung. This new refrigerator is so noisy that our guests have actually asked What is that noise? After many communications back and forth with Samsung (wherein Samsung acknowledged the noisiness), and with RC Willey, Samsung sent a technician to our home to inspect the refrigerator, he determined that although the refrigerator is properly working, the loudest noise had to do with the water running into the ice maker which occurs about every 90 minutes. It is a clunking sound followed by a tinny vibration and then another clunking sound. He acknowledged the noise and asked if either Samsung or RC Willey would help us and I responded No. We spent more than $2,100 on this refrigerator and, although the refrigerator is working, the noisiness is embarrassing and even makes me jump occasionally. I requested that we be able to exchange the refrigerator for another model but Samsung has refused. Never again would we purchase a Samsung product and we may also never shop at RC Willey again as they also did nothing to help us. They could have exchanged the refrigerator but also chose not to. I am thinking of filing a small claims as we never anticipated buying a new refrigerator with these problems.

Bought a Samsung Sodastream French door Refrigerator. I bought it June 2014. Dealing with Samsung is a nightmare. They have a call center in Honduras. They have a executive complaint department that is useless and rude. My ice maker had problems. It is in the fridge not freezer. Two service companies came out and said I would have to turn off fridge for two days. This happened April 2015. Still not fixed. It does not make cubes only crushed ice. The ice bucket is frozen and cant get open. It makes a horrible noise when you try to get ice. I have spent almost 100 hours on phone with Samsung. Some of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. This problem occurred in month 10 of purchase. Now Samsung told me one year warranty up, cant fix. Im going to court over this. $3500 for this. I live in Ma and we have a consumer protection here. We can give a 30 day demand letter then go to court. Dont buy Samsung. Service is nonexistent and reps are rude and not very smart. Never again. Im done bunch of morons for customer support.

We renovated our kitchen over a year ago and bought new appliances (fridge and range/ oven) at Lowe’s from Samsung. I thought we would be getting a quality product because the LCDs and monitors Ive purchased in the past have all been quality. We rarely used the oven at home but noticed that it would take an hour or longer to heat up. You would just hear it cut off and on the whole time. When I contacted them they said that I had to pay for the repair because it had been one month out of warranty even though Ive seen numerous posts about this issue from other Samsung range oven owners model number FTQ353IWUX. My husband and I bought all new Samsung appliances for our first home: refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, washer, and dryer. Each product has had to be repaired in the less than 4-year period we have owned the home. The most infuriating by far has been the refrigerator which now freezes over on a monthly, well, lets be real here, weekly, basis. A block of 3 builds up near the fan due to its poor design flaw which means we have the joy of unloading the entire contents of the refrigerator and freezer only to carry them out to the 1980 GE refrigerator in the garage. The sole job of the refrigerator is to keep food cool, yet this product cannot do it. Im angry that this issue has not been resolved and a recall has not been issued. It may sound crazy, but spending my monthly midnight Oh no, its done it again...time to relocate all of the food hours of fun isnt a tradition Id like to continue. I just want my money back so I can put it towards a new refrigerator that will not convert itself into a titanic sized iceberg that, although an iceberg, cannot keep my food chilled.

On August 2, 2018 a complaint was filed with New Jerseys Better Business Bureau against Samsung. The same day the BBB forwarded my complaint to Samsung and to my surprise the same day we received a phone call from Jamie ** from the Office of The President. Mrs. ** set up an appointment with Service Quick to repair the product for August 6, 2018.On August 6, 2018 I received a phone call from the technician assigned to my repair. Before even showing up at my house he told me he didnt have the parts to repair the refrigerator. He also stated that he was unaware of the refrigerator not working. He stated that the compressor issue is outside of his expertise and would need to be rescheduled. We had to wait another week without a refrigerator and I also needed to request another day off of work to accommodate the repair.I reached out to Mrs. ** to receive guidance because of the above miscommunication. Several phone calls and e-mails were sent to Mrs. ** and were never answered. Why reach out to someone to help solve a problem if you are only going to ignore them. It makes the situation much worse than better. Our refrigerator was repaired on Monday August 13, 2018. On Wednesday August 15, 2018 we purchased groceries. We woke up this morning to the freezer failing two days after the repair and losing all groceries that were in the freezer for a second time. Service Quick is wanting us to wait additional time to schedule the repair.During the conversation with Mrs. ** it was expressed that this was a one time accommodation to repair the unit. This ended up being a sealed system repair per the ticket. This is covered under the five year manufactured warranty per the technician and also our paperwork. So I am not sure what the one time accommodation is and why this is being treated as if Samsung is doing us a favor by fixing the product which is still under their manufactured warranty.I have already taken two days off of work between two technicians and now am being asked to take an additional day off of work. I need your assistance in getting someone out here to finalize this repair and/or replacement. Paperwork was given to the repairmen showing the ice-maker had been replaced (4) times previously. Now it has been replaced five times. This certainly falls up under Californias lemon law. As a consumer I have presented the product to the manufacturer or its representative so they could diagnose the defect and repair it. Along with the duty, as a consumer I have the right to expect the product will be repaired honestly and expeditiously. I have left prior to today a total of three telephone messages and three e-mails for Mrs.**. All have remained unanswered.

The freezer never shuts correctly, the ice maker sucks but today and recently over the past week it hasnt been cooling correctly even though the temp says it was okay. We unplugged it and restarted it and it gave us a more accurate reading of 50 instead of 34. After hours of trying to get it took work and numerous websites later we figured out that its not defrosting even though it is supposed to defrost itself. We have had this fridge for less than 3 years, as early as 6 months from when we bought it the ice maker would stop working and the fan would get loud, after having a service tech out he said it was a common issue with these as they constantly do this, so I went on line and found numerous people with the french door and ice maker combo have the same issue--Seems like a design flaw, but Samsung doesnt seem to do anything about it. So usually once every 6-8 months I would have to dump the entire fridge/freezer (we keep an old fridge in the basement essentially to allow for this) and unplug the fridge and allow it to thaw out overnight, then I remove the back panel of the fridge (inside) and thaw the cooling unit out with a hair dryer, re-assemble it and we are good to go.The last year we seem to be needing to do this every 2-3 months, I had to do it tonight after 5 weeks--This is ridiculous. My wife said, Wow you are getting really fast at taking this apart and thawing out the cooling unit--While this was meant as a compliment, its kind of crazy that I need to become fast or good at thawing out the fridge--The one in the basement thats 15 years old I never have to touch--The thing is we own a Kitchen cabinet business and we always have to recommend appliances to clients, guess what we DO NOT recommend to them, 1) samsung appliances in general (just replaces 4 year old samsung washer/dryer set) (2) fridges with ice makers. So please do your self a favour and do not buy this fridge. Samsung needs to stop making the RF25HMEDBSR OR ANY UNIT SIMILAR AS ITS A PIECE OF JUNK.

Wed restart, and it would generally go, though wasting the fill water in drought struck California. Then, it would not work, right before New Years. Repairman came out, correctly diagnosed the problem, replaced the electronics board for $380. Four weeks later, OE flashing again. This time it was the water valve. The repairman did the rest as described by Samsung to diagnose it, as he had the previous time -- I watched. Replaced THAT part, for another $320. Worked once, then OE began flashing. To say that I am LIVID would be an understatement. I called Samsung and got the company line that because it was so old... My last dishwasher lasted 22 years. By the way, we also bought a Samsung refrigerator. Within a year the in-door water began leaking inside the fridge and then freezing under the bottom door, effectively gluing it in place. This, like the OE problem, is a well known problem and Samsung refuses to fix it. NEVER again.

Samsung Microwave SMH9187B - I bought this microwave on 1/29/2011 and now get an SE error starting 4/1/2014. I have been taking the keypad off and blow drying it. It works temporarily. Steam/Heat from the stove/oven seems to set it off. Since its an over the range microwave, it should be able to tolerate some heat or steam. Sometimes the blow drying works and other times it doesnt. Makes me so mad, its just so frustrating. I have not contacted Samsung, but plan to do so today and see what they will do for me.

We purchased Samsung appliances at HHGregg in Dec 2013 and installed them in Jan 2014. The stove was delivered damaged and had to be reordered. It came a little while later and I installed it. They all worked good until about 2 weeks ago and the oven quit working. My wife called Samsung only to be told the warranty had expired Nov 2013, and the stove was not registered to our phone number or address. That was not possible because we received it in Jan 2014. She took our information and a person from Samsung called back in a few days and said they were going to replace the stove. They just needed a copy of the receipt. The person would not give a full name or phone number. Just the first name. My wife emailed the receipt and we waited for 5-6 days and no one contacted us. My wife called Samsung again and this time she was talking to a woman who was very rude and said they did not get a receipt. She asked to send the info again to a different place and she waited on the line and said she got it and a repair man would be out Friday. When asked about replacing the range, she said something like why should we. When asked for a written copy of what our warranty is and when it is good to, she refused and refused to give an address to write a letter to, and refused to let my wife talk to a manager. We dont trust them now and think it could be possible we didnt get a new stove. What can we do to make this right?

Please do not buy this dishwasher (DW80F800uws). I had researched and brought this dishwasher for my own kitchen remodel. I went with a top model and a name brand that I felt was reliable and had great customer service. 14 months after I purchased it it needed a new motor. My warranty had just expired. Samsung paid for the service call, parts and labor. I thought this was wonderful. A company that backs its product. Now three months later the 0e code has come on. Now I have another fix. I called Samsung they stated they would send someone in 4 days. 10 days later I called the company and will schedule appt. for 4 days away. I scheduled this 2 weeks ago. I now must pay for a service call, parts and labor. The system needs to be fixed. I was hoping that a dishwasher would last longer than 14-17 months without repair. (Let me add that it is only run every other day.) I do not believe in throwing things away but if you build a dishwasher that will break down right after warranty is up shame on you. I would rather have them come and take away the dishwasher. Ill wash them by hand. Such a disappointment Samsung. I even called the corporate office - no help there either. Do not buy this dishwasher - it is a dud.

Design flaw in Samsung refrigerator model RF28HDEDBSR - Very Poor Quality. Purchased on 5/20/15. On 2/15/17, the fridge part iced over behind a plastic panel and stopped working. Something is wrong with the design. It makes a horrible noise when the fan is hitting the ice before it quits. On 8/7/17, it stopped working again after service for this problem on 6/26/17. The replacement part is on back-order! We wish we didnt buy this refrigerator.

My family recently purchased a Samsung, french door refrigerator. We even purchased a 5-year warranty with this appliance and a lot of good that did us. After owning it 6 months, the ice machine kept thawing out and refreezing, never working properly. Then after a big whopping 1 year, the SAMSUNG FRIDGE COMPLETELY QUIT!!! We lost everything inside the fridge and went without a fridge for over a week and a half. And do you think SAMSUNG honored the warranty... Nope!!! Do you think they honored the full replacement... Nope!!! We still have a little loaner fridge because nobody can seem to help us. So I wouldnt recommend a Samsung fridge to anyone. Not only is it $expensive$, but it never worked properly and obviously the warranty is worth nothing.

We have a 3 door French door refrigerator with the ice maker in the top and bottom (thru the door dispenser). We have had it for 5-6 years and a few months after buying it it stopping producing full pieces of ice, and the ice it dispenses is all broken. This has always been frustrating but I have learned to deal with it. Then shortly after the warranty expired, it stopped making ice and it appears to just be freezing over. The ice bucket keeps freezing over making it difficult to remove it and defrost, Then, I was no longer able to remove the ice bucket. I called about getting it repaired and the cost was very high and they could not warrant the repair due to this being an issue. I had called Samsung about this and at the time they told me there was no issues reported with the ice maker. I have contacted other repair companies and they wont even work on them since they know it wont stay working. Samsung has been useless in resolving this and they know it is a major defect in their product. I spent almost $3000.00 for this piece of junk. Never again will I buy a Samsung appliance!!

I especially love the way the grills keep heat around the area and doesnt stay warm long after you turn off the gas. The oven itself keeps the food at the right temperature you set it at. I can only repeat what these other unhappy customers are saying. I have managed not to call a serviceman and have relied on internet solutions. Ive had my French door model for 2 years and I have to defrost it about every 2 months. I love the way I can pack a lot of food in it, but I dont have time to fool with this. Usually after 6-8 weeks I hear the noise and here I go getting out my ice chests. This last time was worse and the whole back panel of the refrigerator got frozen. It had dripped down into my lunch meat for a couple of weeks before I realized where the water was coming from. It ran OK for a week and then the noise came again. Now, the temperature is 58, and it says the freezer is -2, but it all my frozen boxes are wilted, and no ice. Its been the worst appliance by far that Ive had as far as problems that are too expensive to get fixed, and time consuming for me.

We are a retired couple so use microwave to heat food and drinks. The microwave would not heat August 2017. Contacted Sears who sent a repairman. Estimate is to replace magnetron $133.96; diode $9.99; transformer $143.46 LABOUR $189.00. Total is $476.41 and I paid $599.99 plus get for the oven. Repairman recommended not to repair as it would not work in less than a year! In other words a piece of crap! This was the first time I purchased an appliance online without actually seeing the product. It will also be the last. I was disappointed with the inside organization of this fridge. There could have been much better use of the door spaces. They are underutilized. The size of the auto fill pitcher is deceiving, the freezer is small. I looked at the distentions prior to purchase but they sure do look smaller in person. The size of this refrigerator is larger than the one it replaced but it holds far less because of the design. Purchased a Samsung Dishwasher that never dried the dishes properly but failed after 5 years and 1 month, 1 month after the warranty period. Contacted Samsung but did not receive any relief. Purchased a Samsung Electric Stove FTQ353IWUX in May 2012 and registered with Samsung.com. In August 2015, the oven sometimes failed to work. I was able to switch between Convection and Regular mode and sometimes cajoled the oven into working. Received an error code one time, it was E08. Stove will not longer heat up. The LED reads 150 degrees and the appliance does a lot of clicking, but will not heat up.Oven lasted roughly 3 years, 3 months. Was told by Samsung that the glass top only is warrantied for five years, the oven just one year. Could purchase a Samsung warranty but would cost several hundred dollars and the part (control board, etc.) would be warrantied for only one year. Contacted numerous appliance fixing businesses but all, including Sears, wanted $99 just to diagnose what is wrong. Very disappointed in Samsung and will never buy another Samsung appliance. The dishwasher started to fail (would not complete the cycle) in February of 2015. It was still barely under warranty so Samsung sent VA Electronics out to repair this problem. My Samsung refrigerator that I bought a year ago last December today started making a strange noise. The ice maker has had continual issues but today I came home to a flashing panel and what looked like the freezer defrosting. I tried to ascertain what the problem could be and noticed a loud whirring noise but couldnt determine anything out of the ordinary. The ice maker was functioning fine, for once, but the freezer seemed to be defrosting. I tried several times to depress the panel button, to engage the Power Freeze function, and while it seemed by the numeric display to be responding, there was no cooling happening in the freezer area. The noise continued on and off and oddly the upper refrigerator part didnt seem to be affected, so far. I called Samsung Support and asked for assistance and a service call. They came back to me saying it would be 2 business days from today which would then be Monday. Since now everything was defrosting and ruining in my freezer I asked if they couldnt expedite the service call. The CSR gave me the appliance repair company contact info and suggested I call first thing in the morning. I asked when he gave the number if it wasnt in another local because I recognized it as one far from my service area. He said not to be concerned about that. Well, when I looked up the information the company is located in Sarasota, FL and I live in the Mobile, AL area so I am concerned! This is ridiculous and absurd for a 1.5 yr old appliance that should have at least a 10 yr lifespan minimum. What is happening here? Ive bought several refrigerators but never one so expensive and certainly never one with so many issues. The CSR stated that if there was a manufacturing defect they would stand by the warranty and I certainly hope this is the case. This doesnt bode well after all of the complaint reviews Ive read about their refrigerator line. Wish me luck, it appears I may need it!

Samsung refrigerator model #RS275ACWP purchased in December 2008: By 2012 it developed a leak at the freezers backplane. The leak caused the bottom drawer to seize up. Samsung recommended solution was to replace the backplane at a cost of hundreds of dollars. A handyman resealed the original backplane at a considerably lower cost. By 2013 the ice maker failed by producing too much ice. The ice box became locked up and water spilled into the interior, causing still more ice on the freezer shelves. The water even dribbles out of the ice shoot. The Samsung authorized technician stated that three parts need to be replaced at a cost of $450.

We bought a Samsung stove 5 weeks ago, and purchased the 5 yr extended warranty. We were told this would ensure quick response on appliance issues. It has worked well for 5 weeks. Last week while baking @ 350, we heard something crackling and opened the oven to find the inside door glass had completely spider-cracked and glass fell everywhere the inside of the oven. Since the stove was only 5 weeks old and we had the 5 yr extended warranty, a simple door replacement would solve the issue.15 phone calls (store, 3rd-party service company, Samsung) and several days later we are frustrated. The first roadblock was getting someone to arrange a service call. After sending a copy of the store receipt, there was more delay while the 3rd party service company had Samsung validated the receipt - seriously? Finally they call to dispatch a tech, and was told they are coming to access and take a picture to evaluate the need. I offered to take the picture and email it, and again indicated that replacing the oven door would solve the issue. So today, the 3rd party company called saying Tech was on the way. Tech shows up (no part), takes a picture and notes yes, the door glass is defective and leaves. Its now 8 days and counting with no functioning oven, and no ETA. Ive reached out to the Lowes store Manager (who has been very helpful, but also hamstrung by the same bureaucracy with 3rd party maintenance company & Samsung procedures). While I like the 2 Samsung appliances I own, given this first customer service experience, I would not purchase another Samsung appliance. We all know Appliances will break - but if one cant get a NEW appliance serviced even with the 5 yr extended warranty... Purchase from a different brand that supports good warranty service.

We purchased a new home in 2009 and purchased stainless steel Samsung appliances for our new kitchen. French door refrigerator; over the stove microwave and range to the tune of over $6,000. In 2010 the refrigerator was leaking water under one of the trays. It was still under warranty so they sent a repairman who attempted to fix it. Said he couldnt but he tried. Also said that these refrigerators all have this problem. It is something with the thermostat, etc. We consistently had this problem, we had to remove the draw, chip away the ice and then use a hair dryer to thaw out the back wall of the refrigerator where the water line was located IN THE REFRIGERATOR. We had repairmen (several different ones came out for about 6 more times) all to no avail. They installed new parts, etc. Great inconvenience to say the least. Samsung finally refunded the purchase price of my refrigerator. The range was no better. In 2011, after the extended warranty we purchased expired, the broiler coil burnt out (according to the repairman) and had to be replaced. I asked him if there was anything he could do because I couldnt afford another repair. He said he could solder it but it was a temporary fix. He was right. About 10 months later the stove wouldnt work. Had to have the broiler coil replaced. Range is now working.Microwave started doing strange things in early 2013. It would go on by itself and I was afraid it would cause a fire. I called and the repairman, he came out and said it was only the fan that was going while the door was closed and he couldnt fix it because he felt it was a defect in the product. He didnt want to incur a huge bill for me when he didnt know what was wrong. He contacted Samsung and they wouldnt talk to him because he wasnt on their list of repairmen. The microwave operated fine, as for cooking, etc. with the fan always on when it was opened. In 2015 the whole thing just died. No error message, nothing. It just ceased working. I will never, ever purchase anything, other than a TV, from Samsung. They should stick with what they do best, TV sets. I now have to purchase a new microwave which has to be installed because it is an above range built in. The one we purchased was a high end and cost over $600. Didnt think it would only last 6 years. I had my other microwave for over 13 years and it worked fine. Waiting for the other shoe to drop on the range.

Samsung is the WORST refrigerator I have ever purchased. The customer service is a joke. They just give you the runaround so you give up. They insult people. They transfer you and put you on hold for literally hours, disconnect the call and they DO NOT stand by their product. After 4 months of talking to a total of 31 different people at their customer service department, my family is still without a working refrigerator.

I bought a Samsung RF266 in 2008 after reading reviews on several websites about how convenient and reliable they were. Talk about bunk, I really wonder if these companies pay for those endorsements. I have had nothing but problems with this pile of junk. The ice maker falls apart constantly and rarely works right. And then, the fridge completely froze up inside. The repairman told me to let it thaw out 24 hours before he can come work on it (what am I supposed to do with the food in the meantime?). And then, he said hes not sure whats wrong with it. He spent an hour on the phone with a Samsung tech (which he charged me $48 for) and replaced a part that took 3 days to get. That didnt fix it. He rebated the labor but I was still stuck with the part ($65). I waited 3 more days for another part, which still didnt fix it. Two days later, we got another part, which did fix it. Samsung technical said that both parts were bad. I paid $1,800 for the unit. And I have, to date, spent nearly $900 in repair bills, not to mention what Ive suffered in food loss. Im also told there is a class action lawsuit over this issue that Im having. But I cant find access to the site where I can get in on it. My best advice: If you really want to buy a Samsung, buy an extra fridge in case the main Samsung goes down.
