On August 2, 2018 a complaint was filed with New Jerseys Better Business Bureau against Samsung. The same day the BBB forwarded my complaint to Samsung and to my surprise the same day we received a phone call from Jamie ** from the Office of The President. Mrs. ** set up an appointment with Service Quick to repair the product for August 6, 2018.On August 6, 2018 I received a phone call from the technician assigned to my repair. Before even showing up at my house he told me he didnt have the parts to repair the refrigerator. He also stated that he was unaware of the refrigerator not working. He stated that the compressor issue is outside of his expertise and would need to be rescheduled. We had to wait another week without a refrigerator and I also needed to request another day off of work to accommodate the repair.I reached out to Mrs. ** to receive guidance because of the above miscommunication. Several phone calls and e-mails were sent to Mrs. ** and were never answered. Why reach out to someone to help solve a problem if you are only going to ignore them. It makes the situation much worse than better. Our refrigerator was repaired on Monday August 13, 2018. On Wednesday August 15, 2018 we purchased groceries. We woke up this morning to the freezer failing two days after the repair and losing all groceries that were in the freezer for a second time. Service Quick is wanting us to wait additional time to schedule the repair.During the conversation with Mrs. ** it was expressed that this was a one time accommodation to repair the unit. This ended up being a sealed system repair per the ticket. This is covered under the five year manufactured warranty per the technician and also our paperwork. So I am not sure what the one time accommodation is and why this is being treated as if Samsung is doing us a favor by fixing the product which is still under their manufactured warranty.I have already taken two days off of work between two technicians and now am being asked to take an additional day off of work. I need your assistance in getting someone out here to finalize this repair and/or replacement. Paperwork was given to the repairmen showing the ice-maker had been replaced (4) times previously. Now it has been replaced five times. This certainly falls up under Californias lemon law. As a consumer I have presented the product to the manufacturer or its representative so they could diagnose the defect and repair it. Along with the duty, as a consumer I have the right to expect the product will be repaired honestly and expeditiously. I have left prior to today a total of three telephone messages and three e-mails for Mrs.**. All have remained unanswered.

I purchased model# SMH1816S a little over two years ago and it just died on me yesterday. Of course, Samsung was no help because the warranty has expired on it. I am very angry and dissatisfied with Samsung products because they have proven to be crap -- and have a comically short shelf life. This breakdown comes only two months on the heels of my Samsung range breaking down and having to be serviced. All of my products were purchased at the same time (microwave, fridge, range) -- now I can look forward to having costly repair bills into the unforeseeable future. Im dreading the inevitable breakdown of my refrigerator soon. As expensive as Samsung appliances are, I just expected for them to last a lot longer before needing servicing -- say maybe 5-10 years. My previous Kenmore products lasted over 10 years without needing repairs. I will definitely not be purchasing anymore Samsung products! And their customer service sucks -- they should honor their products for a lot longer than 1 year. Oh yeah... they offered me a Protection Plus plan for $288 -- I can buy a new microwave for that price!

Horrible. Everything people are saying here rings true. I had trouble with the electronics panel from Day 1. The timer would not turn off properly, and Samsung did finally send a tech, who did nothing. A year in, I was baking and was unable to shut down the oven because the control panel wouldnt work. I had to throw the circuit breaker to get the oven to stop broiling! I believe I figured that the problem is that the panel gets nuts when it gets too hot since it was ok after the oven cooled down in 15 minutes. Some oven --- aaaaargh!

A Samsung stove was delivered to me on 11/15/14. I had no need to use the interior of the stove for several days, when I did - on approx. 11/22/14 - I found that the oven would not heat. I reported to Samsung who sent out reps to look at it. They found that due to faulty wiring in the unit that a fire had started and burned out the inside. This could have done major damage to our home. In a quick summary, it has now been 2 months and I still do not have a replacement stove. I have had to order in and eat many meals out, including Christmas dinner which I was expected to host for 13 people. I have 3 young children and have not been able to prepare them proper meals. Samsung could care less. Their customer service is awful. They are lucky my house is still standing! The receipt attached is from Home Depot, but I have been dealing with Samsung for a replacement. Home Depot has been intervening and contact Samsung as well, trying to move the process along - to no avail. They need to replace my stove immediately and compensate me appropriately.

We purchased a Samsung dishwasher in March of 2014. It is now Sept 2015 and the dishwasher has broken down 6 times (7 counting the fact that it is currently not working). Weve been in contact with Samsung multiple times. Was told to fax all receipts of repairs and orig receipt of purchase. We did that only to be told there was nothing they could do. We definitely bought a lemon. We have found that PA has a lemon law and we are checking into that avenue. We feel that Samsung company should have replaced this appliance, but they kept saying it had to break down with the same issue 3 times in a certain period of time before they would replace. The issues were sometimes different. We would never purchase another Samsung dishwasher - or any Samsung product.

MF21F707MJT - This is my second Samsung microwave. The first one I had for a year and the door handle broke off. It still cooked, but my wife insisted I get a new one. So I did. I gave the one with the broken handle to the attendant at the landfill. OK I buy this new one and install it over the stove. It is absolutely almost useless. The fan comes on randomly, it beeps, it begins cooking on its own, the control buttons dont work most of the time, etc... I should have kept the one with the missing door handle. This one is going to make for a nice $700 bird feeder.

February 24, 2016 - Purchased Samsung Microwave OTR Oven ME18H704SF. March 9, 2016 (Approx) Hung on wall and attached Microwave to newly install Kitchen Cabinet. March 15, 2016 - We were using the microwave for the 3rd time when it malfunctioned. The Internal electrical magnetron mechanism behind display overheated and cut a hole on the right side of the cooking box and started a fire. At the time this happened my wife was cooking a package of microwaveable veggies on the turntable. Cooking instructions were to microwave for 5 minutes on High. When there was about 1 minute left in the cycle my wife noticed a small fire on the inside of the unit. She opened the door and put out the fire. I opened the cabinet above the microwave and unplugged the unit from the wall.March 15, 2016 - Sent email to Samsung through their website with my info, Microwave info and the information above and below: We can no longer trust this unit in our home. Please send appropriate individual to pick up unit. Please send check for purchase price of unit in the amount of $263.74 to the following address. (Home). The Unit can also be picked up at the same address.March 18, 2016 4:50 PM. We received voicemail from Samsung-Canada notifying me that a serviceman will be out to fix Microwave on March 23, 2016. March 18, 2016 6:30 PM. I called Samsung-Canada and told them again that we do not want a service call. They should pick up unit and refund the purchase price to us. [Transferred to 2nd Customer Service individual, Carlton] I told him again that we do not want a service call. Samsung should pick up unit and refund the purchase price to us. He said he noted that in my report and someone will call me on the weekend or Monday 3/21/2016. March 20, 2016 12:00 PM. Received call from Samsung-Canada [Andre] from Executive Customer Relations Department I told him again that this unit is a Out-of-Box failure. We do not want it repaired. We will no longer have a microwave in our house. Pick up unit and refund purchased price. Andre said a serviceman needs to evaluate unit and determine that if it is repairable or defective. I told him, It started a fire, its defective. March 22, 2016 - Samsung sent a Technician from Local Appliance Service to evaluated. He said it was the magnetron and the unit should be junked. Unit was taken to shop for complete review & evaluation. April 4, 2016 - Called Local Appliance Service to request status on Microwave. Lady said she believed it was finished and that she would call me back. Received call back and set up delivery for Wednesday April 6, 2016. (Samsung decided to repair unit).April 4, 2016 - Received call from Samsung-Los Angeles 310-669-4261, she asked about a schedule change to Saturday. I told her that Local Appliance Service called me with a delivery date and I changed it from Tuesday to Wednesday. Then I told her we would not be using the Microwave Oven and I would search out other avenues for getting rid of this defective product. (She did not like what I was telling her and quickly ended the call.) April 6, 2016 - Local Appliance Service delivered Samsung Microwave with new Magnetron, Controller & Capacitor. Magnetron overheated and turned into an out-of-control Laser Gun packing 3,000-5,000 VDC with each Punch. CONCLUSION OF MY ESSAY: My wife and I never want this unit to be installed into any home. Reason being I know that the replacement parts were the same part numbers as the parts in the original unit and have an excellent chance of repeating history.

I needed a specific sized refrigerator for the spot in my kitchen and the look of the 4 door Samsung was great, however, the ice maker stopped working. Eventually I couldnt even open the ice maker container. Once that occurred the freezing did as well, so the venting in the back of the refrigerator froze over and made a sound like a percolating coffee pot. Had to get a repairman to come and fix. I googled the issue, which it appears to be an issue with the Samsung design of their ice makers some refrigerators have ice gathering under the drawers, the temp shown on the door is NOT what is actually going on inside the refrigerator. Samsung has their American call center Alorica calling themselves the Office of the President. When you ask them for their manager they will put you on hold then come back on the line attempting to change their voice saying they are the manager. Good stuff, they will do anything not to give you any repairs. Even finding their own documentation stating the ice maker design is the reason for the issues and they will not help. I will never ever buy another Samsung product and I think Consumer Reports leads people astray stating its a great appliance. How long are you testing these products?

We own a beautiful top of the line 4-door Samsung refrigerator which we’ve had for one year. Our ice maker began making “wet, soft ice” and the ice maker poured water into a cup whenever we made ice... Plus, the ice maker leaked into the inside of our refrigerator. When we exercised our extended warranty, we learned that this model was recalled for a faulty ice maker! Yet, Samsung never had the courtesy to send out a recall letter. Now we need to wait several weeks for the part to arrive and were told that we need to empty the refrigerator and freezer two days prior to the repair and keep it off and empty for 2 days post repair to allow the epoxy to dry! How shameful that such an excessive amount of money is charged for a poor, inexcusable refrigerator. DON’T BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS!!!

I have bought 3 major appliances from Samsung and I must say Im sorry I did so. My refrigerator had 3 problems the 1st year and 30 days after the fix, it died again only to hear Samsung say, Too bad, so sad. My washing machine just after warranty died. Too bad, so sad. And now my $2,000 60 Plasma after 2 years went bad. Too bad, so sad. I have literally wasted hours and hours on the phone with the support groups and the customer satisfaction groups. The best that they offered was a one-time visit for parts only by the tech to repair the problem. So, if I get a new tech or one that doesnt care and a 2nd visit is necessary, I pay for the labor and parts on the visit. Again, I pay labor and diagnosis the 1st visit they pay for parts, but when asked if the tech needs to come back, will they pay for parts? Their reply is, You can call us and we will see. Translation: Screw you. I have spent over $5,000 in the last 3 years with them and I wont ever buy another SAMSUNG PRODUCT again. EVER! General Motors did the same thing to me at 42K miles when the head gasket let loose and blew the motor on my car. I now own Toyotas & Hondas. Koreans build crap as do the Chinese. If you want quality, stick to Sony, Hitachi, or Toshiba. I am now on a campaign to spread the word about Samsungs quality issues. $5,000 gone for 3 products that were crap within the warranty period or just after. Beware America. Dont ever buy any Korean-made products at all. That includes Hyundai/Kia. This was a Samsung Plasma TV model # PN60E7000FFXZA.

We purchased a 3 door refrigerator from Sears in January 2013. We purchased the 5 year extended warranty. The Sears repairman has been here 4 or 5 times. He replaced the icemaker once. Came back to fix the icemaker, which kept freezing up and leaking onto the dispenser tray. This leak caused our STAINLESS STEEL door to rust. It is still leaking and rusting more. We have talked to Samsung customer reps who told us it was cosmetic and not covered under our warranty. The repairman even told them it was not our fault. But, this did not help our plight. Will not buy anything Samsung ever again. We asked to have them replace our rusty door. Of course this did not happen.

Samsung NE59K3310 Electric Range - Just bought it brand new from Lowes and the oven never gets up to the set temperature. When the beeps ring out that it is at set temp we only get 200 degrees and wait for over 15 minutes to get to 335 degrees. We bought an oven temperature gauge to test it. I followed the factory adjustment procedure and increased it by 15 degrees. Now the oven takes 30min to get to 350 degrees but drops to under 300 degrees within five minutes and doesnt come back up. Before I called to get it fixed I googled Samsung ovens and find so many defective units. Its mind boggling. I have decided to return it to Lowes and buy a GE, Whirlpool, Maytag or ANYTHING else. The other problem is the amount of pressure it takes to activate the controls. Being male with no fingernails makes it easier, but my darling has to use her knuckle to press to get enough pressure to activate the controls.

Same problems as everyone else, freeze ups on evaporator fan and coils, water leaking out of the bottom, spoiled food, loud irregular noises, and the ice maker doesnt function properly. I regret ever purchasing this unit and will NEVER buy or recommend that ANYONE buy their products. Samsung YOU SUCK!!!! This thing is junk and I want my money back so I can buy a reliable brand!!! Had the Samsung refrigerator a little over a month and the ice maker stopped working. Called customer service who ran me through 15 minutes of tests then said a technician would call within 48 hours to come out and repair the fridge. Two days later after not getting a call, I called Samsung again and was informed that the last person I talked to must have forgot to assign a technician. I was then instructed to run through the same 15 minutes of tests and told (once again) a technician would call within 48 hours. The next day a Samsung representative called and while I assumed he was the technician calling to set up an appointment, he told me that no, he was in the product dept and was just calling to see if my ice maker was still broken. The only purpose for his call was to inform me that it would be ANOTHER 48 hours for a technician to call me.When I asked if the technician would call over the weekend, he responded that some work weekends, some dont. I asked to speak to his manager and he told me his manager was unavailable. Three days later and seven days after my initial call a local technician finally called me. He instructed me to push buttons on my freezer that I did not have and besides the fact that he sounded 12, he was completely confused as to which model I had and told me an engineer would call me back. When I asked how long that would take he said he didnt know, the engineer was in the field. As of the time of this review my freezer is still broken, there is no set time for the technician to come out and I have wasted my time on the phone with this horrible, incompetent company. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again and can honestly say this is one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with.

Samsung Counter Depth Smart French Door Refrigerator - We purchased our refrigerator in February of 2017. The icemaker performs terribly. This is definitely not a family refrigerator. The icemaker does not even produce enough ice for just the two of us. Sometimes it does not produce any ice at all for no apparent reason. There are other times when it is just slow. It is simply not consistent. The best way to make sure you have ice with this refrigerator is to use ice trays. I can have 16 cubes of ice per tray in 30 minutes as opposed to waiting hours if I depend on the ice maker. I would not purchase this refrigerator again if I could go back and do this all over again.

I spent $2200 on a Samsung Refrigerator (model RF4287HAPB). As Im reading, I see the model number doesnt matter - they are all junk. Id like to submit my experience. Today is 9/6/12. I bought my refrigerator on 9/20/11. On 8/20/12, the screen started reading an error code. I called Samsung, who sent out a repair person. The repair person stated it was from the freezer. Its irreparable because the wires where the malfunction occurred are in a non-removable part of the unit, and therefore, the code is permanently affixed. I cannot operate what temperature setting, or whether I want cubed or crushed ice.In other words, once a part goes, it affects the whole unit. My part was a freezer sensor affixed with small plastic clips (which a consumer would not know since its not easily seen). Somehow, it became dislodged and the wires were cut, thus, making the unit irreparable. My spouse is an engineer who has designed some items that most people are aware of and rely on a daily basis. I explained the design to him and his comments were that this was a highly flawed design and structure. The refrigerator is under warranty, still. I am replacing it with a better model (i.e., not Samsung). I purchased the unit at Sears and they are replacing it with the cost of a new refrigerator, as to what I paid for the original unit. Im glad I purchased there since it appears that Lowes and Home Depot do not honor their customers. I can purchase another brand and not Samsung. I wish I had done my homework before I made this purchase. Additionally, Id like to add, there is no way to effectively clean the shelves and side doors since it has a multitude of parts and they do not come apart. So, it allows bacterial growth from water and spills. I have kept this refrigerator clean and I dont have that problem. But I can see how it would occur since there are cracks and crevices that water and spills can seep and there is no way to effectively dry them since its impossible to get any apparatus down there, or you risk breaking it all together.

Owned a RF28HFEDTSR Samsung French Door for about 2 years and suddenly the fan in the back of the fridge started making a horrid noise as if it was broken. Opened the back panel to find that the awful design allows for ice to build up back there and clogs the fan and element. I thawed it with a hairdryer, and it was fine again. This repeats every 2 months for about a year. Fan wakes up us in the middle of the night (yeah, that loud). Take out all the food, remove all the shelves, unscrew the frozen-solid screws on the back panel, break the cheaply-made Styrofoam case, sit holding a hairdryer for 45 minutes in the middle of the night. Rinse and repeat. Absolutely maddening. Repair guys cant do anything to remedy this. Then the top icemaker started frosting over constantly and had to have a similar treatment every month or so. After a year of this nonsense, the fridge just stopped cooling altogether. Threw it on the tip.

I chose to upgrade my kitchen, new cabinets, flooring, ceiling, walls and appliances. Now, my old refrigerator was about 10 years old and I never had one issue with it, I just wanted everything to be stainless steel. I happened to go with the Samsung French door refrigerator because I liked the way it looked and that it was big enough to store a lot of food in the refrigerator, as well as the freezer. If I would have known that I would have half the issues I have with it, I would have never of purchased it. Why would I want to buy it if every other month, it has to be defrosted so much so that I have to store my food at someone elses house because the whole refrigerator/freezer/icemaker shuts down and takes 24 hours to get back to the right temperature. I have been a homeowner for over 18 years and I have never been more disappointed in an appliance as I am with this refrigerator. We bought our Samsung refrigerator in Feb. 2013. Ice maker has never worked. I called Samsung and went through the trouble shoot steps twice. It never worked. The second technician I talked to said the first one didnt know what he was talking about. I called them again; they sent out a technician. They had to send them out of course while we were both at work. My husband took off to be able to meet him there. He called and said he wasnt going to be able to make it and told me to tell my husband to go back to work. I called his dispatcher; he came out anyway. He told my husband to be sure and buy the extended warranty! WHY DIDNT WE LISTEN? We had to replace the ice maker. Mind you it was a brand new $1,400 refrigerator, and the ice maker never worked! Now the flap on the front of the door where the ice comes out will not close, and air gets up into the ice maker and it freezes then wont come out of the door. So we have to manually shut the flap so ice wont freeze. I called Samsung again. They are sending a technician from some place I have never heard of and of course, one of us has to take off work again to have our brand new refrigerator fixed! I will never again buy another Samsung product and will let everyone know about my bad experience with Samsung. Why didnt I read this page before buying a Samsung product!

I purchased a whole suite of Samsung products less than 2 years ago. The washing machine has a slow leak, the oven works ok, however the fridge is a nightmare. Dont expect the ice maker to last more than a year. Also the freezer gets pretty heavy when loaded and the handle is held on by a flimsy piece of plastic. Ours broke after a year and a half and we were told that it is way out of warranty. I kind of expected a handle to last more than 19 months. On top of that there is no easy fix. It isnt just replacing the handle. Its all of the mechanics in the door, they actually told me via chat that this is not something you can fix. It needs a service call from a licensed Samsung repair shop. So hundreds of dollars just to fix my door handle. Upon searching this issue there are hundreds of people with this problem. Samsung has great electronics but I will never buy another Samsung appliance, theres a reason they are generally cheaper than the rest.

Purchased this dishwasher in 2012 with an extended 3 year warranty which included a no lemon guarantee. If I required 3 repairs during this period the machine would be replaced. I required 3 repairs but naturally excuses were made as to why it wasnt covered under the warranty. I now have another leakage error, as usual, which is not covered. I get approximately 2 months after each repair before it breaks down again. Also the stainless steel face rusted after less than 6 months which is not covered as it is cosmetic. My 3 year old dishwasher is dysfunctional and looks 20 years old. NEVER, EVER buy a Samsung product!!!

I really try never to rant on social media but I am mad!?? Samsung stinks!!! We bought all Samsung appliances, oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator, back in April and have had nothing but problems with the refrigerator. Ice maker not working. Water not working but then they started working. Freezer wasn’t freezing at one point and they replaced a part. Fridge not working properly so they replaced a part inside of it and now the ice maker and freezer aren’t working again. Samsung will do nothing. Very irritated. They just keep sending out technicians to work on it and it is still not working. We spent way too much money on it to have this many problems. How do you buy a brand new refrigerator and it not work right, EVER. Don’t buy Samsung!

I have a 9 year old two door fridge, which when working is a great design. I find it hard to get a repair person to resolve a long-term noise in the fan. I now resort to using my hair-dryer blowing into the vents and this seems to de-ice the fan and hence the noise abates for a few months. Also sometimes the water dispenser decides not to dispense water... ugh! I am frustrated but these items cost a bomb, so I havent replaced it yet.

Set up a repair with Samsung but their local repair (Lake Electronics) did not have the insurance required by my condo. Then called another repair service and was told they had stopped repairing Samsung appliances because it was too difficult to work with the company. A third company diagnosed a broken temperature sensor, apparently a common problem The parts had to be ordered. It has been two weeks and they are not here and no information on when the repairs will occur.

Purchased this NE595ROABSR/AA range Jan.22, 2013 at Lowes. The front right burner would cook on high even though it was set on low. Managed to deal with that. Yesterday in the middle of preparing dinner, the range shot fire with a loud explosion. Samsung does not stand behind their products and you would think that a new stove that we paid $900.00 for would last longer than 2 1/2 years.

My Samsung refrigerator broke again. This is the third time since I spent nearly $2000 to buy it new in 2013. But aside from the poor performance of the unit the real problem is the customer service regarding the repair. So far Ive called Samsung every day for the past 11 days and I am on hold again now. Apparently Samsung customer service will listen to the problem you are experiencing, very nicely tell you to expect a call within 24-48 business hours and then throw your information in the trash because nothing happens after that. Every day, I have to begin the process again so in this scenario 24 -48 business hours never passes. Dont buy a Samsung refrigerator. They break and no one is interested in fixing it. Or paying for it. Or replacing it unless you want to box it up and ship it off yourself (they actually suggested I do this!!) There are plenty of refrigerator companies. Please benefit from my experience. Do not purchase Samsung.

They refused to do anything about it. Called local appliance dealer, had it replaced $595. Broke again within in 2 months. I looked up this refrigerator and not only this one, but other Samsung units have had many problems with the ice maker and Samsung is doing nothing about it. We purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator in 2012 for a kitchen renovation at a cost of approximately $2200.00. My husband found a puddle of water one morning and after resetting the computer several times, the freezer was starting to melt items and the fridge section was 65 degrees. Everything was thrown away and a repairman was called. Two local repairman refused to work on a Samsung product. I had to call a Samsung certified repairman. While cleaning out the freezer I found this little light looking item with wires coming out of each side, it was no bigger than my little finger. When the certified technician got there, I immediately showed him the part that I found in the freezer drawer. He said, I cant fix this refrigerator. The part that fell off was from the top of the freezer ceiling inside the pull out drawer and it was dislodged from the wiring harness that was UP inside the fridge and there was no way to fix it. I asked how much I owed him and he said $75.00. I paid it but 75.00 for less than a 5 minute visit was terrible. Anyway, he left his card and I told him I didnt need it, because I would NEVER have another Samsung appliance. This is a design flaw with Samsung that they could easily fix and unfortunately its on all Samsung refrigerators. We asked our local repairman what he would recommend and he said GE, LG or Whirlpool. We looked at Lowes and all Samsung products had the little item on the top of the freezer ceiling so that if something bumps it, the fridge cannot be fixed. Our Whirlpool has the same item on the back wall of the freezer so that NOTHING can bump it. Losing a 2200.00 6 year old fridge is terrible... customer service was terrible and knowing the problem with the fridge and not fixing it tells me that Samsung is only interested in making money on the sales and ensuring that their refrigerators dont last. Poor design... poor appliances. Samsung stick to phones please.

I have this fridge for 1.5 years. Love the size, but milk is always going sour before the expiry date; cheese molding; and leftovers didnt last. Rationalized all these things - must be leaving the milk out too long, must have dirty kids hands touching the cheese, etc. Because the digital temperature reading said it was 34 deg in the fridge, it must be accurate right? Wrong! Verification by 3 separate mercury and digital thermometers show that the fridge compartment temp runs 40-50 deg and thats in winter (wonder how warm it had been running last summer!). This is everywhere in the fridge compartment, top shelf, bottom shelf, door, right next to the ice maker, etc. I cannot find any place in the fridge that runs less than 40 degrees. In hindsight, no wonder food was spoiling! The fridge programming will not allow the temperature to be set any lower than 34F. Service technician has replaced the main control board and the digital touch screen assembly. Have not resolved the problem. I phoned Samsung customer support and was only told that since the factory warranty is expired, they can and will do nothing. Suspecting a design flaw that they are aware of. I will update if ever fixed. Freezer and flex-drawer hold reasonable to programmed temperature (generally 2-6 degrees above programmed temp, sometimes 10 degrees higher), but those compartments have larger programming range. Can program the freezer to -8 and the flex-drawer to 29, so even if they run higher than programmed, it is OK for food storage. But even with fridge set as low as it will go (34), it still is too warm for safe food storage.

Have had a problem with water puddling on the floor for some time now. Our Samsung french door w/ bottom freezer, water/ice in the door is a model #RF26VABPN. It is a 26 cu ft unit. At first it was a pretty nice unit. We started to notice small puddles of water every now and then on the floor. This we thought was just a maverick ice cube had escaped and slid under the fridge. It turns out that ice is building up inside the bottom plastic wall cover, thawing and make a small pond under the two bottom drawers. We contacted Samsung customer service but since it was out of warranty...no help. We are now going to relegate this fridge to the garage and buy a new unit and it will NOT BE A SAMSUNG! It is our opinion that their products are very low quality, poor/non-existent customer service, and just plain junk! Our advice to you is dont be mesmerized by the cool lighting, silver-tongued salesman, or the gadgets. These things are expensive so shop wisely.

Samsung top freezer RT21M62135R, nominally 21 cubic feet, is fairly capacious. Unfortunately the lighting in the refrigerator section is front mounted and everything in the rear disappears into the shadows - keep a flashlight handy. The freezer also has a light, something my prior refrigerator did not have. I really like the slide and reach shelf for deli type items - very convenient. The door storage is a bit inflexible. I ordered the model without an ice maker, they shipped it to me anyway despite my attempt to stop it, which they ignored (customer service in the US is impossible to contact - they switched me to Indonesia (sic)! (Consider that I bought this model for energy efficiency, then they ship something I do not want - pure waste.) Even though they took the door off, the delivery service still managed to put eight dents in the door - too easy to dent.

We purchased a Samsung (Mod RF267AB) French door refrigerator, and within 18 months, we had issues with water pooling in the pan under the deli pullout drawer. Since we had an extended warranty through Lowes, we had it fixed. Since that time, the same problem has been fixed two more times with no success. (Each visit has been a different repair guy, so no commonality there.) The last time, the technician also adjusted the level and tilted the fridge back saying that may help it drain! After reading other posts, I realize that my Samsung French Door with Drawer refrigerator is a real lemon and that I am one of thousands of unfortunate people who purchased this refrigerator! It appears that there is no customer service, so the refrigerator will just have to be trashed. Last year the ice maker quit, froze totally solid, could not be fixed by a refrigerator repair person. He couldnt thaw it and suggested we call Samsung. After several hours, actually 2 days, we thawed it with a hair dryer, hot water, etc.! We pulled the cube maker out and just used the ice maker area to make cubes placing an ice cube tray in the opening. Suddenly one day a year later it started making ice cubes, then it quit, now it is leaking water onto the floor. Today water just poured out of the ice maker area into the refrigerator! I came to this site to see if others were having similar problems with their Samsung Refrigerator, and found that I am only one among many who are out well over a thousand dollars, with no hope of getting assistance from Samsung. Well after receiving so, my extended warranty request from Samsung Protection Plus department, I finally accepted the partial payment terms for 4 payments on 12/9/14. On 3/5/15 we realized the 2 top boxes were not getting cool. Called the extended warranty and they had us call a authorized repair company to come out. The repair guy worked on it for about 1 hour and advises he would come back to see if the refrigerator temp would go down as it had been at 48, spoiling all things in the refrigerator. The repair came back around 3 and advises that he will have to call warranty because the refrigerator had to be replaced because it cant be repaired in USA and to allow 48 hours for the report to show since it was on a Friday, and was given a 700 which was to be a Urgent code #. We called to just make sure every had our information on 3/6/15.We received several calls, there we faxed and emailed receipts of purchase and was told to check back on Monday the 9th. My husband spoke to 7 different people and received 4 different ticket #s from 3/9 to 3/11. When 3 of the persons stated we would receive a refund and that someone would call back with details after verify proof of purchase 3 times. My husband called around 6 pm central time and spoke to another rep from Samsung who stated she didnt see a refund, she need to do another verification and that after reviewing the account, because we didnt buy it from a authorized dealer, they cant honor anything very RUDELY. I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher from Best Buy, when I had the unit installed I discovered that the kick plate was missing. I called Samsung and requested that they send me the missing part. They took all of the information and gave me instruction on how to send the receipt which I did. After a few days a representative called saying they needed more information. I asked what information they needed and they said they needed the Serial Number and Model Number. When I explained that I already gave them this information the representative put me on a long hold and came back and said not to worry they had everything they needed and that my missing part would be shipped in 7-10 days. Several days later I received an email from Samsung asking for me to upload my receipt to them (which I had already done a few weeks ago). I resent the receipt and then a few days later received another call saying that since the item was purchased as an open box item that they would not provide me with the missing part. Bottom line is that the customer service is very disorganized and inefficient. When I ask them to consider supporting their product and to make an exception to provide me with the part that was missing when delivered to me they refused. I have read all of these current complaints and issues with Samsung Refrigerators, I feel bad for all of these consumers. There is something you can do to get somewhat reimbursed. I can say I purchased the 3 year warranty and was glad. After 15 months the Refrigerator froze and stopped the cooling fan. Took 11 days to get parts to have it repaired. Then after the first repair a second incident occurred when the freezing happened under the meat department drawer a week after it was fixed. Had to have a tech come out a second time. Finally they sent me a refund for the purchase price of the refrigerator. That was Asurion did, they were the warranty plan from the Home Depot. If you have a food loss issue you are eligible for up to $300 refund for each occurrence. This did happen twice. It froze and wasted my wifes Insulin 2 times. I was not reimbursed the full amount but I received 2 checks for $300 a piece after filling out the one page application for Food Loss and Medication reimbursement and sending in the repair receipt. Also I did file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against the Home Depot and Home Depot came through and sent me a $500 gift card for the difference for the loss of the medication and the cost of me buying another refrigerator while I was waiting on this one to be repaired.I also filed a complaint with the BBB against Samsung and twice someone from the Office of the President from Samsung called me and said there was nothing that could be done. So whatever, they need a national recall on their products especially the black stainless refrigerators. So with a little perseverance you can get some remedy out of this bad situation. The Better Business Bureau complaint against the Home Depot really helped and the Home Depot Asurion extended warranty plan really helped also. Complaining to Samsung was useless but now the Complaint is in there and the more in there hopefully will help someone else not make this bad decision of a Samsung Refrigerator.

My DMR78AHS Samsung Dishwasher was purchased Feb 2011. It needed its first repair in March 2012 (one month after the warranty was up) to the tune of $158 due to the tabs breaking on the upper rack and getting down in the motor. Last Friday (Feb 2014) the exact same thing happened but this time the repairman said it was going to cost me $375 plus tax for new gaskets and pump plus labor. I said no way and he still charged me $109.15 for the service call, etc. I spoke with Samsung this morning and they put me through to SEVEN different people. The last one said I will hear the answer from upper management in 24 to 48 hours. I am disabled and on disability from work (60-years-old) and cannot afford all of this happening to me! I still was saving for the fridge and stove - forget that now!! This model should have been recalled! The net is FULL of people all having the same problem with the 5E error flash due to the tabs breaking off. I am so upset!!!!! :( Is there a class action suit for this problem in Canada?

My experience mirrors one submitted by James. Same model dw7933LRASR. Difference is I had terrible customer service and they managed to dawdle until warranty ran out and will do nothing now. The washer will NOT clean even a plate that has been well rinsed with no dried on residue, nor a glass that contained milk but has been rinsed out. It also will not dry dishes even on sanitize cycle and expensive rinse aides. Their solution for that was crack the door a bit as soon as cycle is complete. But that is a fairly moot point since half of contents have to be rewashed by hand. MANY Samsung products in my house including the phone in my hand which I love... but never ever will I trust Samsung again.

It Works great and it heats up very fast and it looks nice. Good quality for the price. The self cleaning does a great job. Better than any stove that I ever had before. I looked at many brands before I purchased this one and I know I made the best choice. Now I love it and very glad I bought it.

I want to start this by saying please buy something else. I bought the model # dw80j7550ug and I wish I never did. This thing has a dry feature on it and guess what? It doesnt dry. Ive been on the phone with Samsung a number of times and they tell me that its highly recommended to use a dish washing aid. I dont understand why must I use an aid to dry my dishes. They say it helps to repel water but wait I thought the water is what helps wash the dishes? It gets better, they also said to open it when its done to allow to dry. So now I have to either wait for it to get done not drying my dishes or Ill have to come home to open my dishwasher so that way my dishes dont smell like mildew. Thanks Samsung for such a nice product that doesnt do what it says it will do. It also doesnt have it anywhere on the box or user manual saying you need to babysit your dishwasher. Also, buy some new dish drying towels because our dishwasher that you just bought for over $700 doesnt dry dishes. Samsung lost a long time buyer and supporter. Ill never buy another Samsung product!!

I purchased a Samsung Model # ME18H704SFS Over the Counter Microwave April
I purchased a Samsung Model # ME18H704SFS Over the Counter Microwave April 17, 2017. I was away two months over this past winter, so the microwave was used about a year. It matched my new Samsung $1300.00 oven perfectly. One day last week, it just stopped working. We tried troubleshooting it and then called the company after that. Unfortunately, it was about 14 months since we purchased it and was no longer under warranty. After pleading the employee from Samsung for some help, they said to call a service center. I was told by two of them that they would charge me $100.00 nonrefundable for just coming (which I understand) and then parts and labor. He said if it is the motherboard or any other thing like that, it could cost $200.00 or more to repair with only a 90 day warranty. It breaks my heart but I had to throw it out. It was beautiful but did not work. I will never buy a Samsung product. We went to Consumers and found out it was rated most poorly. I now am in the process of purchasing either a Whirpool or Frigidaire since they got good ratings. We are heartsick about wasting all the money we spent over a year ago for this item. By the way, there was nothing wrong with my Kenmore over the counter microwave oven that was a Kenmore and 20 years old. It was white and we redid our kitchen in all stainless steel appliances. Fortunately, we gave it to someone who is still enjoying it. Please do yourself a favor and dont get sucked in with the Samsung company. They are unreliable appliances and really dont care about you once you buy their product.

Do not use the self-clean feature on your Samsung ovens. Google Samsung stove door won’t open and you’ll find 100s of complaints for the same issue. Door locks (will no longer open) and the control panel fries 30-45 minutes into the cycle due to high heat melting the thermostat. Samsung advises you it’s out of warranty, and will provide you with a phone number to an authorized service tech in your area to call and set up a repair at your expense of course.

I am having problems with the oven temperature in my brand new Samsung gas range purchased less than a month ago. When the preheat feature arrives at 350 degrees, it is not that hot in the oven. I have placed an oven thermometer in my oven because of the uneven temperatures and untrue displayed temperatures. When I called the Samsung phone number, the tech told me how to adjust or as he called it recalibrate the temperature. I did try this, however, It still appears that it takes 20 minutes or longer to reach the required temperature. In my previous 30-year-old gas range, the temperature reached the requirement in ten minutes. After reading the comments on this site (I wish I had known about it before purchasing my Samsung gas range), I would have chosen another brand. Now, I am afraid to even try the self cleaning feature.

I am very disappointed with the Samsung refrigerator model: RF28HFEDBWW I bought at Sears 2 YEARS AGO!!! I had a repair person out yesterday and he could not remove the back panel inside the refrig b/c the screw would only tighten, not move left to loosen. We had to defrost the coils in the back of the refrig since he could not reach the coils. All food had to be removed. We hope that once he drains the built-up frost that is now defrosted that the refrig will work. Just pitiful. I will never buy a Samsung product again!

Have owned my Samsung appliances for 2 years, 6 months. The dishwasher leaks from the front just like described by many others. I have found that when loading the dishwasher the last time before running the cycle, I physically push the front gasket all the way around the opening (just run my finger around it) and it lessens or stops the leaking experience. This of course is not acceptable performance but it may help others until they replace their Samsung Dishwasher with another brand as I will do soon rather than spending any more money on this poor performing product. I will say, I LOVE my other Samsung appliances - Refrigerator, Stove/Oven, and/or Microwave - they all work GREAT and would definitely buy again.

From my complaint sent to Samsung: I bought this Samsung side-by-side RS254
From my complaint sent to Samsung: I bought this Samsung side-by-side RS2545SH/XAA refrigerator for my office in 2008. Within the first year, I had to have the service techs in to repair and replace the board because it was causing the fridge to over-cool, either freeze the refrigerator section or leave it uncooled. That was repaired under warranty. In the past year, I have encountered the same issue. Now the board is causing the cold water reservoir to freeze. I have had both our local repairman and yours out to attempt repair. The local reported that it is a common problem with refrigerators and recommended higher temp settings to keep the problem at bay, but wouldnt recommend refrigerators with chips for our next purchase.Your repairman, while polite, wasnt prepared with the parts in the truck for the probable repair. It took him 3 hours to diagnose and defrost the water reservoir. It would have likely been cheaper for him to just replace the plastic unit. He identified that the problem is likely the board or the heater, but could be the wire that connects the two that is not repairable. It would be an additional $350.00 for the repair and another visit on top of the $302.10 already paid to your tech and $110.00 for our local repair tech. The tech warned that with the replacement parts (which he didnt have with him), he couldnt guarantee that it would be fixed because of a wire built into the fridge could be the culprit and isnt repairable. I would be stuck with the costs and a broken fridge.I and my assistant Paul ** (ticket **) have made numerous calls to your call center for updates and requests to review this issue and have been met with what I would call polite stonewalling. I feel that purchasing a premium product should come with support. I also expect a refrigerator to last at least 20 years before needing service. I have not experienced either with this purchase and could not recommend your product to others. I will be exploring additional avenues to file complaints against your company including the store where we bought it and our state attorney general. It would appear, in hindsight, that I would have been better off purchasing a basic model that would have cost me considerably less and would have been repairable.

Within days of buying this $2000 refrigerator, the paint started chipping. Having worked in metal painting, it obviously was a case of not cleaning the metal properly and the paint would not stick, this is especially on the edges and top of the door. This very simply is a defective manufacturing problem. Called Sears who said it was a Samsung problem, called Samsung who said it was a Sears problem. After about two hours on the telephone and ten calls, Sears sent me a check for $100.00 to get rid of me. I am happy to confirm that both Sears and Samsung have gotten rid of me. FOREVER!!!

Discovered ice machine was not working properly on newly delivered refrigerator the first day in use. Contacted warranty division for repair and promised contact with 48 hrs. After 2 days without contact and again called warranty service. They reassigned repair ticket to another company. After another 4 days without contact I again called warranty division and was issued a new repair ticket number to yet another repair company. Was contacted by Samsung Tracking Service to check status of repair. Upon hearing that no contact had yet been made by repair company. Tracking Services said they would expedite repair order. After another 7 days without any other repair contact I contacted retailer (Home Depot) for return/refund. After hearing my story, agent put me on hold while she contacted assigned repair company who informed her that they had no record of repair ticket. She reissued ticket (under same number) and promised a quick contact from them. Ironically, a few hours later I was again contacted by Tracking Service inquiring as to the status of my repair. In our discussion she informed me that her records showed that the repair company had indeed received the repair ticket in the initial transmission and offered to put my case into the Samsung Resolution Department for review. As they were Samsung and has hired the (non-responsive) repair companies in question, I asked her to contact them to expedite. She proceeded to inform me that she was unable to contact their repair company on my behalf.I fail to understand what Samsungs definition of Customer Service could possibly be. They know theres a problem with your brand new Samsung Large Appliance. They know there are multiple failures (3) in their repair chain, they continue to ask you how is your repair going, but they refuse to actually step-in and take charge to resolve the problem. Instead, leaving their consumer to contend with the (obvious) dregs of the appliance repair world that theyve chosen to repair their products. Guess with everything in the recent news regarding Samsung guess I should be happy that my refrigerator hasnt blown up yet. The LAST Samsung product that will ever enter my home. Buyer beware!

We purchased our refrigerator July 3, 2012 from Lowes. 5 years to the date it quit working over night, woke up the next morning and all my food in top part refrigerator was spoiled and bottom freezer was thawed. Called repairman to come out and take a look at it, about all he had to say was to unplug it and waituntil tomorrow morning it should cool down and start working again. The repairman at the house for 5 minutes and 75.00 dollar for the service call to tell me to unplug it. It did cool down and started working, restock the refrigerator. But 7 days later it went down again. We unplug again but still not working so, once again we had to deal with spoiled and lost food. The consumer are right. Samsung Refrigerator is a piece of crap. Major problems with Samsung range model NE59J7750WS/AC Duo-Flex - If this r
Major problems with Samsung range model NE59J7750WS/AC Duo-Flex - If this range is working up to the specifications of the manufacturers design then that design is flawed. One flaw is that there are no vent openings in the bottom of the oven to allow for heat transfer. Vents that would mean the oven could come up to temperature in 10 minutes rather than the 30 to 45 minutes this lemon takes. Other brands that we have since been looking at have these vent slits. It may be more convenient for Ms Consumer to clean a range with a hidden bottom element but if by hiding it you restrict the heat flow, what good is it?Another flaw is that the sensor tells the temperature display 365 and beeps to say it is ready to bake when the oven is only at 225, 365 is still 30 to 45 minutes away. Why was this range designed to do this? To impress the EnerGuide inspector with how quickly it reaches temperature? Can you say Volkswagen?? A third flaw is that there is no consistency in the final temperature reached. Set it for 365 and it may only go up to 345, next time it might go to 385 (as it did when Sears repairman Ken was here. He said he could fix that problem, I said why bother, last time it only went to 345, if you drop it by 20 it could just go to 325.)A fourth flaw is the variation of oven temperature within one baking session. The last time we baked (was the LAST time as we wont try again) it took 38 minutes to get up to 365. We put in a sheet of cookies and 12 minutes later they were done to perfection (the two on the right). The second sheet of the same cookie batch went in just as the first was taken out, when checked 8 minutes later they were already burnt. Usually, when you open the oven door to take something out and then put something in the temperature drops, in this case it must have risen substantially to burn the cookies in 8 minutes. There is no rhyme nor reason for the temperature variations with this thing. You say There is no repair solution that can be attempted by our technicians as after multiple visits we have not detected any fault with the unit. That is not true. Your guy Ken can attest to the fact that it took 45 minutes to get up to temperature and that the final temperature was 20 degrees higher than the setting. He wasnt here when it only went to 345, he hasnt been here when the wild fluctuations have occurred. Have him spend a day here checking it out, hell tell you whats what. Better yet have him take it home and make HIS wife try to use it! We arent going to anymore! For more than 45 years we have put our faith in Sears and Sears products. Now, at the first instance of a problem Sears has failed us. Well see if a media investigative reporter will be interested in this matter as we have had no luck getting Samsung or Sears to see reason. CBC, CTV & Global for a start.

I had a terrible experience with Samsung. I ordered a Samsung Fridge and within a year and a half the compressor went out. Samsung at first wanted to fix the compressor, but since there were no techs near where I live, they decided to refund our money. It took an agonizing 2 months of trying to get them to give us our money. One customer service rep laughed at me when I asked what would happen if it took longer to get our refund before our new fridge and she laughed and said, “Mam, it’s not going to take that long.” That was only 1 week into the process. One representative gave me a fake # when I asked to talk to someone higher up. They even made me cut the cord of the fridge and take a picture of it and send it to them. I was without a fridge for 2 months and still no refund. They would tell me someone would be calling and no one would ever call. I called at least twice a week if not more and they would just give me the runaround. But would always say not to get rid of the fridge until we get the refund. We no longer could go any longer without a fridge so we went ahead and ordered a new one - Whirlpool this time. I got my delivery date, so I called Samsung to let them know that our new fridge was coming and they would be taking away our Samsung fridge so I needed to make sure that they had everything they needed before it went. Samsung told me NOT to get rid of it until I got the refund. I asked when will I get my refund? Every week, they would say, within 2-3 days and every week would pass and NO REFUND. Our new fridge came and I immediately called Samsung to see if I could send it with the delivery guy because he would take it away for free. They said no. So now we are stuck with our old fridge with nowhere to take it unless we pay $200 to dump it. Samsung did not care, they said it was not their responsibility. I will NEVER buy anything Samsung again! They have the worst customer service and products.

Bought the refrigerator (Model RF263AEBP) and electric range in August 2010 and have had nothing but problems with the refrigerator since we bought it. Same problems as everyone else is having, freezer has ice accumulation and ice maker quit working. Ice accumulation in the vents in the refrigerator causing water to settle under the drawers and on the kitchen floor. Refrigerator and freezer quit cooling. Repairman finally came out the first of December and told us it has a Freon leak but would have to come back and do a dye test to see where leak is. In the meantime he did something to mess up the compressor so he had to order a new one (Thank goodness it was still in warranty). This was before Christmas. Set an appointment to come back January 16, 2015, to replace compressor. Advised us that he would change out some parts (that we had to pay for) but in probably 4 years we will have the same problems because it would be out of Freon again. Guess they cant fix the leak. If the leak cant be fixed it seems like they would replace the refrigerator. Could not go through Christmas without a refrigerator so we had to buy a new one and believe me it was not a Samsung. I have noticed the last time I did the self clean on the oven, it did not even clean it good. Will not buy another Samsung.

So we purchased this refrigerator on May 29, 2017. We were so excited about this since we had done a lot of homework and research and this seemed like it would fit our needs. After delivering the refrigerator we noticed that the ice maker was noisy but what the heck, this wasnt a deal breaker. Then the fun really began. On October 12, less than 4-1/2 months later the ice maker went out. They came out promptly and replaced the ice maker with a new one and everything was fine UNTIL February 22, 2018 (again around 4 months later) the ice maker quit working again... So another technician came out and told us that the refrigerator needed to be exchanged. He gave us an exchange number and told us someone would call us within 24-48 hours. (I have learned to HATE that comment). We waited and no one called so I called the company service department and they asked me for some numbers off of the purchase ticket. They told me that they were waiting on this information in order to expedite the exchange. My response was why didnt you call. Anyway, I gave them the information they were looking for (we had purchased the refrigerator at Sears). Samsung informed me that they would call me back within 24-48 hours. Guess what. They didnt. So, I called them again and asked what the problem was now. They informed me that they were waiting on more information and that as soon as they had it they would start processing the claim. This has been going on for almost a month now. Thursday 3/8/18 I turned it over to my husband and he contacted the NJ office and was told that we COULDNT get a exchange but we could get a refund, minus the sales tax and that they would respond in (wait for it) 24-48 hours. We never received a call so I called them back today on 3/13 and was informed that they had it in the file and I explained to the first person that I didnt want a refund, less the sales tax because I couldnt replace the refrigerator with that. She informed me that she was sorry, seriously, who cares. But I told her that we needed an exchange and I wanted to speak to her supervisor. She came back on the line and told me that she could give me the refund PLUS the sales tax and I informed her that I could not replace the refrigerator for that. I asked to speak to HER supervisor. Let me say that it is almost impossible to speak to a supervisor of any kind. These people have a script and they do not deviate from it. I was finally able to speak to supposedly a manager who simply stated the same thing she was sorry but they couldnt do an exchange but she could get me back my sales tax plus the purchase price.I told her that I didnt want my money back because I could not replace the refrigerator and it wasnt my fault that it was a LEMON. She again went through the Samsung Party Line and I told her that I wanted to talk to her supervisor. She told me that she was it and I explained that I then wanted to speak to the person that SHE has to answer to. Guess what... She told me that no one could do anything better than this BUT if I wanted she would have someone return my call wait for it in the next 24 to 48 hours. Hmmm. What are the chances. Just some food for thought here. I have never experienced such horrible Customer Service in my life. Very few of the people speak English and it is almost virtually impossible to understand them. They absolutely refuse to let you speak to anyone else and just continue on with Im sorry and I can help you with that, but they can not help me so why do they continue to do so. It is the most frustrating experience and it will literally make you crazy. I totally refuse to give up and if necessary I will contact the media outlets AND social media to get this resolved... This is absolute BS.

Stay away from Samsung electric glass top ranges. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing. I do have an extended warranty so if anything covered goes wrong they will get it back.

Bought samsung dishwasher 10 months ago and the front door got discoloured. When called customer service they said its outside of the guarantee and that its cosmetic damage? I dont use this machine daily. Its only 1 person using it so I dont misuse it. I will never buy any products from them and will inform all my family and friends not to. Also dishes after washing are not clean as. The previous 2 people said, poor quality, never again from samsung!

After 6 months of use, the finish on the stove grates is flaking off. Never seen this happen before, even on gas ranges several years old. Wish we had read others reviews on this site before purchasing.

I have a Samsung model RF28HDEDBSR/AA, serial #06EC43AFB01664x purchased from Best Buy. It has nothing to do with them though. Samsung is the problem... We just finished paying the darn refrigerator off... THANK GOD I have a service contract with a home warranty company since the ice maker is poorly designed! So far we have had 4 repairs, 2 replacements of the ice maker unit, special sealant added all around the unit and STILL, the ice comes out slushy and the unit leaks water constantly. I contacted Samsung and, much like all the other complaints I have read, I was told how sorry they were, but that since my unit is over their warranty, nothing could be done. She was willing to contact a repair person though everything is on me from there. Again, THANK GOD I have the home warranty...The Samsung representative stated they had no recalls nor were aware of any issues... I wonder if they check sites like this! We LOVE the unit since it is 28 cubic feet of great space. The fatal flaw is the ice-maker and I would tell anyone looking to not buy it unless you dont mind constant pulling of the ice machine unit to remove ice build-up or put up with constant calls for repairs...

I agree with others, file a class action lawsuit. Tabs break off, error reading code. Went thru Samsung... nightmare. I love how quiet it is, reason we bought it, but dirty glasses and dishes and the rotten smell is bad. Have to clean the seals by the door, disgusting!!!!!

We have a Samsung refrigerator Model# RF266AERS/xaa that stopped cooling at 3 1/2 years. A certified Samsung tech (only one in SE Wisconsin) was unable to repair. The problem was in the sealed system which has a five year warranty. He contacted Samsung and took all the necessary documentation as he was directed and sent it to Samsung. That was 4 weeks ago during which time I have called and been connected to executive customer service seven times, each phone call a minimum of 40 minutes on hold. I have sent my sales receipt twice. They always have problems locating some piece of information but always give a new transaction number and a very polite vague excuse. I have called the certified dealer twice. They resubmitted info and the second time even had the regional manager for Samsung send it in. That was one week ago. At my last call on Oct 2, 2014... This is ongoing and I am now waiting again for 2-3 days. Mind you these calls are all 40-60 minutes long and it has been 6 1/2 weeks without a working refrigerator! It also appears from other submissions, this is a big problem with Samsung and others.

Purchase a Samsung dishwasher in January 2014. I was very excited. It was very nice looking - all stainless steel. It just finished off the appliances that I had in the kitchen and it was a Samsung and they make good everything else so the dishwasher had to be good. Made the mistake of not buying the extended warranty as Ive had issues with those with other companies in the past. What a mistake from the start. The dishwasher gave his problems. At first it didnt want to drain properly then four months in, the lights were flashing on and we had to call Samsung who sent somebody out 4 days later to tell me that it needed a new control board. Shouldve realized that there was a big issue when the repairman himself told us that Samsung was having problems with this machine.Next came the noise that it made but it was draining and then after that came the awful smell and two weeks ago the light started blinking again and guess what out of warranty and Samsung wont help which is just fine because in my opinion it is the biggest piece of garbage I have ever wasted my money on. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves selling this to the public. Do they not realize that theyre hurting any reputation that they had.

We bought Samsung appliances after Hurricane Sandy. The dishwasher doesnt dry dishes properly. I always have to dry with a towel. Range knobs all broke and are loose. Refrigerator has seams in the drawers that you cannot clean under. I will never buy Samsung appliances again. They should stick to electronics. Also the Samsung name is half off from the stove because they are only stick-on letters. The stove knobs are also plastics and melt and are loose. The appliances look attractive but the above items are what I have an issue with. I recommend to stick with a company that has a good reputation for kitchen appliances. We have to live with our mistake. These appliances are 3 years old.
