We were excited to buy our Samsung fridge. It looked nice, was spacious, LED lighting, and more. But we have had a lot of problems with the freezer, and so far, it has not been fully addressed. We have lost food, Samsung repair has been out 2 times, replaced 3 different parts, insulted us on the phone - and yet the freezer still has problems. When this first started, we did not realize the freezer was building up ice on the back of the drawer; this area is not visible. Ice was apparently also building up on the rails. So the freezer had trouble closing, and at some point it stayed open about 1/8 for a few days and we lost all our food. We had no idea this was happening. We had Samsung repair come out and they replaced 2 parts. It is a long story, but we were initially led to believe we would get reimbursed for our food loss; not only did Samsung refuse to do that, but a Samsung employee actually called us, and blamed us. Apparently that person was unaware that Samsungs own repair people had replaced two different parts. Blaming us is an attempt at intimidation, to avoid paying the reimbursement. We have this call recorded on voice mail as well. We had no freezer at all for a whole MONTH - for the Samsung repair process - but I do not get the feeling from anyone I have talked to that Samsung cares about this. And the repair did not fully work. Our problems continue, and we can hear ice dropping. A Samsung employee told us there were no complaints about our model at all, which is hard to believe because when we had Samsung repair come out again, the repairman said there was an actual Service Bulletin out on our model. He replaced another part, so that is 3 different parts replaced. Yet, after this 3rd part was replaced, our freezer continues to drop ice. From extensive observation, it seems likely to me that this is a design problem, for Samsung lower-drawer freezers that have ice cubes in the lower drawer. They overfill the container and fall out of the back. And this is not just my opinion - that the design is at fault - one of the repairmen also talked about this.So its been close to a year now that we have had freezer problems. The way Samsung has treated us - trying to blame us for this, and refusing for a long time to reimburse our food loss - has left us very unhappy with Samsung. They finally did reimburse us recently but only after we went to Twitter, LinkedIn, and other places. We are posting on social media (and on this website) because we want people to know what our experience is. Samsung did not have to treat us this way. I have even started a website also about this, and it has a blog too at: **. I suppose Samsung repair could come out yet again - but if its a defective design, then there is nothing that a repairman can do.Since Samsung seems unable (or unwilling) to help us get this resolved, we will at some point just sell this thing, at a big loss no doubt, and find some other brand of refrigerator. If you want to avoid what we have gone through, I recommend you do NOT buy a Samsung refrigerator - or any other Samsung products, if their customer service in other products is as bad as this!

Bought a Samsung french door refrigerator from Home Depot in Sept 2014, model RF263BEAESR. Ice maker promptly froze over and ice making stopped. Customer service told us to turn off the ice maker, let it defrost and it would start working. This was true but then it froze over again, and again. In Jan 2015, Samsung authorized repair service, Charika Appliance Repair of Inverness, FL came out to install a new ice maker unit. They punctured the sealed coolant system and the refrigerator stopped working!! Samsung offered to exchange the broken refrigerator with the same model or a refund. On Jan 10, 2015, I emailed Samsung the Home Depot invoice and register receipt, and on Jan 11th a list of spoiled food. We were told that a refund was in process and we would be contacted within 24-48 hours by the refund department. Today, Jan 20th, I called for a refund status and they had not started it yet. They DO NOT refund the $105 sales tax we paid, even though the Home Depot receipt says FULL REFUND. They also DO NOT refund over $250 for spoiled food. BEWARE OF SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS!!! They are a piece of GARBAGE. Their customer service department is terrible.

We purchased a Samsung French Door Fridge and purchased a warranty with it. Within a few months the compressor died. While I can understand that equipment may occasionally be defective, what I was more shocked about was the terrible service in honoring their warranty. We got a runaround for TWO WEEKS before a serviceman made his way to our house only to tell us that the fridge could not be repaired. It took another two weeks to get it replaced. Shame on you! I will never purchase another Samsung product, and would advise the rest of you not to.

I have an 8-year-old $2000 brushed aluminum Samsung refrigerator. Recently I noticed that it was not cooling properly so I called Samsung, gave all product info, and was referred to a repair facility (Cyberworld in Norcross, Ga). The Samsung tech who came to diagnose problem informed me that my fridge was too old to fix and that I should just buy a new one. I was charged a $95 diagnostic fee, even though the tech did nothing except open the fridge and tell me it wasnt worth fixing.I called Samsung on 9/1 (more than 3 weeks ago) and have called back every business day since then to get some sort of customer service. Each Samsung rep tells me something different. I ask names and employee numbers, take notes on each conversation, and all calls are supposedly recorded. Yet the Samsung rep who takes my call NEVER knows anything, always tells me that my claim is being escalated, and I will receive a call back from supervisor within 24-48 hours. How many calls have I received during this 3-week period? Zero, zilch, nada... NOT ONE!!! I am done with shoddy Samsung products. I am done with appallingly bad Samsung customer service. Samsung, YOU SUCK.

We bought a Samsung side-by-side RS257BARB from Best Buy about six years ago and paid close to $1,300. A couple of days ago, we noticed the freezer was not cold; then yesterday, the fridge side was not cold either. I had a live internet chat with a Samsung rep to no avail. Their authorized repair service center is 35 miles away. I had no choice but to call a local appliance repair service technician to come and take a look. He examined the fridge and told me the compressor went dead and it would cost $800 just for the part alone, might as well get a new fridge. I am very disappointed with this verdict as I hope it would be a minor fix for such a pricey appliance. I remember when we were growing up we had a GE fridge that lasted over twenty some years. The fridges nowadays look great on the outside, but they dont last and customer support is practically nonexistent.

This was the first time I purchased an appliance online without actually seeing the product. It will also be the last. I was disappointed with the inside organization of this fridge. There could have been much better use of the door spaces. They are underutilized. The size of the auto fill pitcher is deceiving, the freezer is small. I looked at the distentions prior to purchase but they sure do look smaller in person. The size of this refrigerator is larger than the one it replaced but it holds far less because of the design. Very disappointed.

My Samsung Refrigerator was a gift from my husband. I was so excited and looking forward to having a new refrigerator. Unfortunately, it has turned out to be a nightmare. The refrigerator was purchased in 2014 along with an extended warranty. Within 6 months the ice maker went out. It took 3 trips to repair it. Within 2 weeks it was out again. It took 4 visits to get it fixed this time and we learned it was a design flaw that Samsung knew about, but refused to correct the problem. Instead Samsung sent out a list of things the technicians could do to try and make the ice makers work longer. Again, it failed and a New Ice Maker was put in. That lasted about 6 months, however it leaked the whole time. Once again the ice maker went out. Same issues as before. Here I sit with the ice maker out yet again with Technicians coming out this week. All the while I am having to purchase Ice, make arrangements to be here for the technicians and listen to the excuses of which NONE are satisfactory. Home Depot and Samsung will not replace the refrigerator, because of an ice maker issue. What is worse now is the water leaking from the ice maker is dripping on the electrical components on the drawer below, which could cause a short or electrical issue. This is a VERY POOR appliance and I do not recommend it to anyone.

I have had a Samsung refrigerator for 5 years. Repeated problems with ice maker freezing up and the cooling system leaking then freezing under the drawer. Have spent $600 in repairs and same problems come back. 2 yr warranty was not enough. Samsung has been unsupportive. Will NEVER buy another Samsung product because of no customer support. Spent over 2K and now 5 yrs later it is worthless.

The product has ice built up issue that impacts cooling and Samsung do not cover this in 5 years cooling warranty. This is a manufacturing defect in Samsung refrigerators and ice built up issue seems very common in Samsung fridge but Samsung do not own this as manufacturing defect and it will be a big repair cost to customer. Please read the Samsung warranty carefully if you buy Samsung fridge and make sure to buy separate protection plan as Samsung warranty would not cover all.

My Samsung French door fridge with drawer is only five years old and the fan in the top went out and the temperature raised to 54. No warranty so I called Sears (They were horrible!! Thats a whole other story). The parts are incredibly hard to get, it takes WEEKS!!! In the meantime our refrigerator is too warm! We lost lots of food and could only shop for one meal at a time! The next service man that came out told us we may as well replace it now rather than waste our money and that we were lucky to get 5 years out of it. That repairman told us to stay far away from Samsung appliances. We replaced it was a Maytag and are very happy we did.

I purchased a new Samsung dishwasher in May, 2017. In August, 2018, the unit broke - would not drain and then the circuit board fried. Initially, Samsung said they would issue a warranty allowance (even though it was 2 months beyond the warranty date) and would arrange for service or provide a new unit. After 5 days, during which they failed to find a technician, they decided they would not provide any help or compensation - I was out of luck. What kind of company is this that they sell people a product costing hundreds of dollars, it breaks after a year and thats it?! Every service person I have spoken to has remarked that Samsung DWs are extremely poorly made and designed and the advice I got was to not fix it and go buy a Bosch instead. Between multiple service calls at my request and the new unit, Im out well over $1000. I hope somebody organizes a class action lawsuit.

What a huge disappointment with my 3 year old Samsung Fridge. Last summer my fridge stopped cooling. When we noticed it was accumulating ice in the back panel. After many reviews we defrosted it. This happened at least 3 times last summer. This summer we have had the same issue again. When I contacted Samsung about this they state there is no problem with this model. After careful review I have read many many complaints about this and there is even a class action lawsuit against the company. Very very disappointed. Never buying Samsung products again and definitely making my voice heard.

The ice maker wont shut off even when the dispenser pad is not engaged. It keeps cranking out ice which fills the dispenser and then backs up all over the fridge. When you open the freezer door, ice then spills out all over the floor, etc. What a mess. Has anyone else experienced this? Model #RS261MDRS, purchased from Lowes on 8/3/2011. Bought range (MODEL FTQ 353IWUX-XAA) & 5 other Samsung appliances May 30, 2011 at Lowes in Belmont, NC. While at home, range started making noises smoking from back control panel July 2013 - like blew up - tried to contact Samsung even though out of warranty. They were slow to respond. Finally set up service through them - $90. Technician said this is a common occurrence with this model - they will repair for $400. Going online for reviews, this is happening frequently with this model. Samsung knows of this defect but will not help...

Our Samsung Nightmare!! Saturday November 23, 2019 Michelle of Forest Grove, OR (You are not alone). My family and I also experienced the same oven catching on fire. We did have to call the fire department. We have spent at least $300.00 eating out and another $300.00 trying to get the smoke out of our home. We adopted a sibling group of (4). December 2016 our 10 year old oven went out. Having a new family we decided to purchase an entire new set of Samsung stainless steel kitchen products. The refrigerator has been a nightmare ice maker leaks never makes ice, (we consistently have a towel in the water tray) the dishwasher will often stop draining we re-run, the Microwave door sticks, however now that the oven caught fire the bottom of the microwave is burned. Lastly we are thankful we were home because our kiddos would not have been able to control fire, while the fire department was in transit. I will never invest in another Samsung Product. Samsung Customer Service line is sad. We spent Thanksgiving getting food from my neighbors and friends. When guest walk-in our home, they say your appliances are beautiful. We bought a Samsung microwave just little over one year. The Magtron/etectrode was out. We contacted Samsung for the 10 year part warranty repair. They scheduled their contractor -- Buy Brite Appliances. The service tech came and didnt do anything, and charged us $115 for the service trip, and told us that we need to pay $287 for the other parts on the microwave which need to be replaced to prevent the Magtron overheating again, and Samsung told us that only Magtron is under warranty. Stay away from Samsung microwave product. Its poorly designed and the customer service is horrible to help any. Its a big waste on your money and time.

LEMON ALERT!!! This has been the worst experience I have ever had with customer service. I bought this monster 1 1/2 years ago. I just placed my 4th call for repair! Each time the unit has stopped cooling AND freezing and I have lost all the contents, not to mention having to wait a week for the repairman with no refrigerator. I am so frustrated! This time they tell me IF the repairman deems it unfixable they will take it back. Home Depot has been little help as well because I didnt buy the extended warranty. (although the first 3 incidents happened within the first year!!!) I WOULD NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG APPLIANCE. I have been a loyal HOME DEPOT customer as well. Thinking a becoming a Lowes girl!!!

RF18HFENBSR, less than 8 months old randomly stops cooling in both compartments. Temperature display indicates the SET temperature, not the ACTUAL temperature. No error codes (based on info from web searching the problem). If I unplug it, wait two minutes, then plug it back, the temperature displays will update to show ACTUAL temperature and unit MIGHT start cooling again. First tech determined it was the electrical outlet, so I moved it to another outlet. Since it started working, they decided the case was closed. When unit stop again, I called again. Samsung phone chat support says the unit needs support, but I cant get support to come out in less than a week. Meanwhile I have no refrigerator. According to my web research, this is a known problem with no known fix. Its been a total of three weeks.

Purchased the Samsung french door refrigerator RF263BEAEWW/AA at Home Depot
Purchased the Samsung french door refrigerator RF263BEAEWW/AA at Home Depot, I also purchased for $150 through Asurion with their extended 3 year warranty on 11/2/14. Beginning on 7/29/16 the ice maker began freezing up thus it would not make ice. I called Home Depot’s Claim number to begin the first of many claims through Asurion. They sent out Ben F. Login & Sons for the repair on 7/29/17. They replaced I think the Auger, they did not leave me any invoice. Then on 12/26/16 the ice maker stopped making ice again. On 12/28/16 A Plus Appliance was sent out and they replaced the ice maker motor and Auger. The Ice Maker stopped making ice again on 1/30/17, so MD Appliance came out on 2/2/17, to repair it by using caulking around the ice maker and proceeded to defrost the ice build-up with a blow dryer then left. Then the Ice Maker stopped making ice again on 4/1/17, so Residential Tech Services Inc. came out on 4/3/17 to verify this fact as per Asurions Lemon Law policy. Which states clearly the fact: After Three (3) service repairs have been completed on and individual product for the same breakdown or component and that product requires a fourth (4) repair for the same breakdown or component, as determined by us, we will replace it at our discretion. Residential Tech did not conduct any repair. Then I called the manager on 4/3/17 of Asurion because I read about all the complaints on these defective Samsung Refrigerators only to be told that this ice maker had to break down 4 times with the same exact problem before they would consider replacement as per their Lemon Law Policy. I argued that I have had 4 repairs done. This Manager claims that the Decembers repair had a defective part thus this repair was combined with Januarys repair not counting towards the so-called 4th time as per their Lemon Law Policy! Then I proceeded to make yet another appointment on 4/14/17, and Tekniton came out to replace the Ice Maker and Auger Motor. He found that on the back of this refrigerator was full of water and leaking inside to the bottom inside the deli drawer and icing up. I then had to schedule yet another repair which took place 4/24/17. Tekniton came out again to replace the Stelian replaced ice maker and auger motor, also repaired water leak, defrost sensor and assy cover evap-ref; Aw1-12 angle-shelf. This tech. found the ice maker was starting to freeze up again but it is still making ice.I called the Insurance company Asurion and spoke with the service manager who told me that on the 4th time, and it must be the same issue that they would send out yet another tech to verify that is indeed the same issue as before and they would consider a refund, replace etc. He lied and told me that each part is under warranty for 60-days. Meaning if this issue happens again within that 60-day time frame it doesnt count towards the 4th time. This is not stated in their policy. He claimed that the December repair had a defective part so that was not counted towards the 4th time. Im still stuck with this defective refrigerator and each tech that has come out have all said the same thing. The ice makers are a manufacturing defect and cant be repaired. This refrigerator due to its constant leaking is a potential fire hazard! If I end up having food spoilage or a fire because of this I will sue! Never Ever buy any appliance through Home Depot as they use Asurion as their extended warranty company and they are liars and horrible to deal with. Despite the fact that you should never ever buy anything Samsung Appliances as they are all nicely designed but have known defects and they continue to sell those defective appliances to the public! I have a horrible feeling that Home Depot or Asurion will make me be stuck with this crappy refrigerator after I spent $2,300 on it!

I have complaint to Samsung customer care regarding my refrigerator problem. She gave me the complaint number. When we call him after two days he told us that part is not available. Then after four five days later we call him again but he started ignoring our calls and he did not pick up the call then we once again started complaining to Samsung customer care but till date there is no solution. WARNING: Buyer beware when purchasing Samsung home appliances. Within a couple of months of purchasing almost 2K of Samsung appliances; Dishwasher, stove and microwave the door on the microwave begun to melt. The cost to get new door was almost as much as the cost of a new microwave, Samsung denied warranty. The stove is horrible to use in every conceivable way. Their stainless steel is near impossible to clean and scratches easily. I purchased upgraded SS for fingerprint reduction, shouldnt have bothered. The dishwasher works intermittently at best then within a year the unit would not complete a wash/dry cycle. Worked around problem by manually running the pump, but eventually the sanitize light blinks rapidly would not reset without a hard reset at my electrical box. Now the machine will not complete a washing/drying cycle and I will be replacing. Troubleshooting guide says it is a drain problem. We do not have a drain problem, pump problem or leak problem as suggested by hundred of complaints on this companys dishwashers. Samsung response was not to respond at all. Many complaints I read online included multiple visits by repair people who are unable to fix this and other issues with Samsung appliances. The cost of their parts is so high that again replacement is cheaper in the near short time period. Many complaints online state that repair people used a shotgun approach replacing everything imaginable and within a few weeks or months the problems came back. Dont think the people who are complaining are a bunch of nut job, they are not. Samsung products are no longer on my list of products to buy. I have owned a lot of Samsung products but will never recommend or buy another one of their products until they own up to their problems. I am not holding my breath.

To Tim Baxter or anyone else that cares about Samsungs reputation and how their terrible customer service and falsely advertised products, dont settle well with the consumer. I am at my wits end with your company and its appalling customer service! For 4 months now Ive tried to get your company to take ownership for a refrigerator it sold us, that claimed to offer a Flex Zone with 4 temp settings, all the way down to -1 Celsius. Tim, we both went to High-school at took basic science classes, but the techs and people in your Office of the President all seem to have either not taken the class or failed it. My wife and I have had food spoiling in that drawer for months, because it will NOT freeze as it should given that 0 degrees Celsius is freezing, therefore anything colder that zero is at least capable of freezing. Well nothing freezes in that drawer. Ive had 3 service people come out, who all are being told the same thing from Samsung that I am being told, which is that the refrigerator works as it should. Tim, please explain to me how its working as it should when food does not freeze in a drawer that offers a -1 degree Celsius setting. Your office of the president, at 888-480-5675 and Loshanda at extension **, has ignored 7 messages I have left for her with the receptionist, and two voicemails. She literally has decided to blow me off. The last time she called me, before Thanksgiving, she told me that Mr. ** its not supposed to freeze, since -1 degrees Celsius is also 29 degrees Fahrenheit, therefore its 29 degrees above freezing... I was without a reply for a few minutes. How do you politely tell a person that they dont know that Celsius and Fahrenheit both measure temperatures, and that -1 Celsius and 29 Fahrenheit are the same below freezing temperature. After Loshandas obvious failure to care to call me back anymore, because she believes its working fine, I called and asked for a supervisor in your Office of the President. Ive been told twice there is no such thing, that I just have to leave a message for Loshanda to call me back. I’ve done that once a week for 7 weeks. I’m exhausted and utterly disgusted with the horrible service from your company. I dont know which is worse, that your techs believe -1 degrees Celsius is not supposed to freeze the food, or that your Office of the Preside could care less at this point, after my wife and I have lost hundreds of dollars in food that has gone bad, Ive wasted hours with techs coming out telling me the same thing, and more hours on the phone talking to your general Samsung support line that offers no help but to suggest I have yet another tech come out, who will waste all our time again. Tim, my wife and I own thousands of dollars in merchandise from you all, from phones, to BluRay players, to TVs etc. Is this how I should be treated? I want Loshanda at least reprimanded or at best fired, and I want and deeply hope for your help in resolving this matter. Your refrigerator does not do as it was sold to do, its that simple. And I need this fixed. Please Tim. Ive left voicemails for others in your Office of the President, they too have ignored me.

The absolute worst dishwasher I have ever used. Wish I had never bought it! No matter how the dishes are arranged they never all come clean. At least 1 out 4 are still dirty. I now have to soak all the dishes prior to putting them in. Soaking the dishes does not guarantee that they will come out clean. Additionally you will have to clean the area where the water drains each time you use it to prevent Black Mold from growing. If there is a Samsung product in the next home we purchase we will ask for an appliance credit and tell them to take the crap with them. NEVER BUY THIS DISHWASHER!!

Recently purchased from Lowes a Samsung dishwasher (Summer 2018 Model). Original price, 599.00. Had it professionally installed. It is relatively quiet compared to my old one, however it will not dry the dishes. It does have a heating element, but no matter what cycle is on, it will not drain entirely, so when the heating element turns on during the drying cycle, it just heats up the standing rinse water left in the bottom creating a huge amount of steamed rinse water and saturating the dishes. If I hold down the start button for 3 seconds it will magically drain entirely, but manually completes the cycle so drying is off. WET DISHES. I hope the appliance engineers at Samsung go back to R&D school, and definitely need to stay away from Samsung Audio Video electronics. They will surely ruin the only good product in the brand.

I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in 2009 at Sears. It keeps leaking water under the cool pantry drawer and freezes. I have already paid once to have this fixed. I was told a drainage hose gets clogged up and overflows under the drawer; defective design issue. Once again it is doing the same thing. The repair man recommended only to buy Whirlpool made in America; he said Samsung is pure defective junk!

We purchased new appliances from Lowes 2 years ago, Dishwasher, Fridge, Range and Micro. We have not had any problems from the range or micro, but had issues with fridge (fan in the freezer). Repair went smooth with Lowes involved. Happy with that. Now we are experiencing the smell that so many have commented about. That being said: What is the solution? So many complaints, really concerned about the integrity of this company. Maybe if Lowes or Best Buy, or both, discontinue the retail of their product, they might consider improving their customer service. Samsung needs to hire someone that can get your customer service back on track. There are other product names that would love to see sales increases once these go out.

I would never purchase or recommend a Samsung appliance again after our experience with our Samsung refrigerator that we purchased in Fall 2013. After owning the refrigerator for ~9 months, I began to notice water accumulating under the deli drawer. I thought it might just be normal and cleaned it up every month or so. Around 15 months after purchase, I noticed the water accumulating more often and to a greater degree. Water would spill out of the fridge when we opened the doors (sometimes sheets of ice). I called Samsung and the refrigerator was not under warranty any longer.Over a period of the next 9 months, Samsung sent out 3 different repair companies. None of the companies could fix the problem. Water and ice continued to accumulate, spilling all over the floor whenever the fridge was opened. Large amounts of mildew grew due to the moisture. The fridge had to be shop-vacuumed monthly to clean out all of the water. After Samsung telling us that there was nothing else that they could do, we finally purchased a new refrigerator from a different manufacturer. We moved the fridge to our garage and it is now going to have to be hauled away due to the continual growth of mildew due to the water accumulation problem. We are so frustrated that we spent $2000+ on this refrigerator and it cannot even be used in our garage!

Purchased this refrigerator December 2010 for my parents. Within 6 months the vegetable drawers began filling up with water. Parents decided not to replace. January 2nd 4 years after purchase the motherboard went out, a new compressor was ordered and installed, then the New Compressor developed a leak, and now another service call has been set due to the refrigerator still not working. Service has been to my parents home January 2, January 9th, January 16th, January 26th, January 29th and scheduled February 4th, 2015. Samsung has been contacted, their response was its out of warranty. My response is a $1200 refrigerator should last longer than 4 years, if not then the construction of the product is defective. Samsungs response - too bad. Dealing with the Executive Customer Service representative was very unwilling to send me to a supervisor, Im still waiting on a call back. Definitely do not purchase Samsung equipment they do not stand behind their products.

Ditto on all the above comments. Unfortunately we did not see the reviews before our dishwasher purchase 1 yr ago. Just like others have commented on, dishes werent cleaning, drying, or finishing cycles. And dont forget about all the blue sensor lights flashing all the time without any indication of the problem. Service came out and told us its the Display Unit that needs to be fixed. A $300.00 part, even though we just paid $600.00 for it brand new a yr ago. Contacted customer service to explain our issue, and they said there is nothing they could do and good luck. At the same time they were servicing my Samsung dishwasher, they were trying to fix the Samsung refrigerator that we bought on the same day. REALLY! Both appliances have problems at the same time? How nice for Samsung. So after paying 2 service fees on the same day for 2 appliances, we have decided to throw the dishwasher out in the driveway and put a sign on it saying FREE - Junk. We did mention to customer services about all the horrible reviews, and they could careless because they know more unaware consumers are going to make the bad choice of buying anything from Samsung.

My child can’t put her medication anywhere and I explained that to Samsung and they said it’s not their problem. Oliver and Ingrid were so harsh about the situation And I explained my child could die and nothing is being done. They haven’t picked up my old fridge and until they have my old fridge I won’t get any money for A new fridge. Please people don’t ever go through what I’m going through. I have already read several accounts of what has also happened to us - our refrigerator stopped cooling, allowing our food to go bad, which I feel put our family at risk of food-borne illness. We also had to throw all of our food which was substantial. This is clearly not an isolated incident and I feel that Samsung is being very irresponsible. Instead of issuing a recall, which would be the ethical thing to do, they are avoiding helping consumers find any solution at all. I posted my issue on their Facebook page and mine was the only complaint that went unanswered - likely because of the class action suit against them for just this reason. If they help you, they are admitting something was flawed with the design. I contacted them directly and I have not heard back yet. Very disappointed.

RS265TDRS - We have been monitoring the refrig temp for a week because the liquids seemed cool but not cold when the temp was set at 38 D.F. and the display monitoring inside temp when you open the refrigerator door always read 38 D.F. Lowered the temp to 34 D.F. And monitored the refrig for two days. The display always says 34 D.F. on the outside when you open door but the thermometers we put inside have been well above 44 D.F. for two days and as high as 48 D.F. Thermometers placed in a full glass of water inside the refrigerator overnight indicate a temp of 45 D.F. Temp of tomato sauce in frig also above 45 D.F. Putting same 2 thermometers in freezer set at -4d.F. indicates a temp of -3 or - 4 D.F. We are waiting for service and the temperature is now well above 50 D.F. and yet the display that shows the supposed temp in the refrigerator says 36 D.F. when you open the door which is what the temp is set at. The safety issue is not only there is a design defect that causes the coils in the refrigerator to freeze up but the sensor that lets consumers know what the temp in the box is sending false and misleading temp readings allowing people to think their food is at a safe temp when in fact it is not. Still waiting for service and now the refrigerator is at 60 D.F. and the display is reading 38 D.F. when you open the door. This may go on for days, weeks and even months for some consumers before they realize that they have been eating spoiled food. Samsung needs to acknowledge design flaws that allow the digital temp display to show normal safe temperatures yet in the refrigerator temperatures are 10-15 degrees f. higher. There are many consumers who have been ripped off and played Russian roulette with food, health and safety because the refrigerator coil freezes, the fan stops working and the air temps in the refrigerator rise unknowingly to the consumer. If you own a Samsung refrigerator you may have been eating spoiled food for weeks, months or forever if you are not aware of this problem. Calling for everyone on the www to let Samsung know that their negligence in this matter will not be tolerated and consumers will get justice, satisfaction and restitution for the full purchase price including removal and destruction and recycling of all the defective Samsung refrigerators.

I have a 3 year old Samsung refrigerator that went out Labor Day weekend. We had a total loss of food due to this. I contacted Samsung they set us up with one of their contractors on a priority call. With that said it took them 7 days to come over, the repair person said his leak detector for Freon did not work so he came back the next day. No leak was found so they would next step order a new dryer for the unite. That took 8 more days to come in. When the 2ND repair person came with the dry he first re checked for a leak and out it in the sealed system. So the dryer was not even needed. He sent the information via his phone to Samsung that day and told me I would be contacted with in 48 hours. Well I tried to contact Samsung and let them know the 48 hours was up and after 1 and on half hours on hold I finally was able to speak to a person. That gave me a new case number and ask for receipt information to be sent via eFax once again the 48 hour rule goes in. No call back so I take the one hour and forty five minutes to call back. Finally have the correct person on phone that tell me what the first person said was not correct and I needed to email the information to her. I told her we have gone 25 days waiting on them and not having any way to have cold food in out home aside from an ice chest and really was beyond frustrated at the lack of help I was getting, her response was it will take 48 hours to the buy back department to contact me. I ask if I could speak to the them or have a extension number to not have to spend that long on hold and constantly get a wrong area to pick up and was firmly told no! I informed the lady that if this was to be a buy back I would like to just know if it is okay to purchase a new refrigerator and would Samsung send me a check at some point to reimburse me. I was told in not a nice way I could buy anything I want but Samsung would set the terms as to how I would be paid that we must keep the dead unit until further information was sent to us. So here we are with nothing still - there is no excuse for this to happen. We have lost all food, cannot have or store food and really need a company that give a ___p.

I have a Samsung Side By Side Refrigerator that broke but was under warrant
I have a Samsung Side By Side Refrigerator that broke but was under warranty for the sealed system. It broke in 4 years but this Samsung warranty is useless. They will not stand by and honor this warranty. They sent a repairman to my house who misdiagnosed the problem and replaced a part that didnt need replacing which I had to pay for out of pocket. He then told me since the fridge is not working that there is a problem with the sealed system which is under warranty and I wont have to pay anything for parts or labor. He then said that his company is not certified to repair sealed systems so Ill have to find a sealed system company.I notified Samsung and they sent the same repairman to my house which shows you how much of a joke this company is. I called Samsung again to tell them that their technician is not qualified for sealed systems. They then sent a different company to my house. The repairman from the second company told me that they are not qualified to do sealed system work. Finally they send a third guy to my house from a company that does fix sealed systems but he claims that my warranty does not cover labor only parts. It is clear from my paperwork and owners manual that the warranty covers both parts and labor for 5 years on the sealed system so Im not sure how he can claim that.I called Samsung and they tell me they will create a new work order which will cover parts and labor. However, when it comes time for my appointment they of course schedule it with the original company who claims not to be qualified for sealed system repairs. This is by far the worst customer service Ive ever experienced with any product or company in my life. Avoid this company if you care at all about the value of customer service. Ive given up on this repair and Im buying a new GE Fridge. Im tired of the countless hours on the phone with Samsung and the multiple visits by repairmen that claim not to be certified.

I spent COUNTLESS FRUSTRATING HOURS on the phone listening to Samsungs service music on hold. They promised to call, but never did. Exceptionally disorganized and counterproductive service structure. Calling Samsung is useless and a waste of time; calling the service company, downright insulting. They basically get annoyed that youre wasting their time, when you just want to have a status report. The process for a service repair is the most inefficient process ever! We have a 1.5 yr old refrigerator where the freezer went out. We knew we were out of the warranty period, but still went through the correct channels for getting a service request. The service company came out to our home and believed they found the issue, a sealed component issue which IS covered by the 5-yr warranty. This was within a weeks period. They then order some parts for the fix, then came back out to apply the fix, but no luck. They then had to release all the gas that is in the sealed lines, inject a dye into it and come back at a later date to see where the gas leak was in the lines. At this point, we are already 2 wks in, and they came out figure where the leak was. The leak was found and they had to then schedule a return appointment since they had to order some more parts to fix the leak. 3wks go by and now the part that came in will not work, even though, it is the correct part according to Samsungs technical support and the refrigerator blueprints. Now Samsung is making the repair company jump through hoops to make sure that indeed, the part will not work, including a live video conference to show the part not being able to fit on the actual piece. Its now been almost 4 weeks, without a refrigerator. We have a 16-month old toddler, we had to purchase a used fridge just so all our current food in the fridge wouldnt go bad, and there is still NO END IN SIGHT with Samsung deeming this refrigerator IRREPARABLE and giving us a new one! I will never recommend, not buy another Samsung product again.

Samsung Refrigerator RF4287HA. I am so upset with my refrigerator. My husband and I had our LG refrigerator, which was purchased in 2010, replaced with the Samsung one after we noticed that the inside cabinet was cracking all across the unit. We reviewed the reviews at the time the Samsung fridge was considered... We found great reviews...however, our experience has been nothing but. Our ice maker sticks and has water dripping off of the back, causing it to freeze over, the left side freezer door keeps freezing over with water causing it not to stick to the unit upon closing. We have had the back freezer wall unit replaced, the freezer door rubber replaced, the ice maker parts replaced, and guess what? It is still experiencing the same issues. I am at my wits end right now. I am currently on the phone with Samsung again...waiting for customer service... Guess I will be waiting for another hour for someone to come to the line. I am frustrated because a unit this expensive should not have this many problems this soon. I thought Samsung was a good product but I may have to reconsider this thought. Repairmen are aggravated and so is my husband. Why are these units freezing up? I just dont understand this!!! Oh wait... I almost forgot... the snack drawer control panel had to be replaced right after I received the unit and the doors have not closed properly since about that same time as well. I called Samsung about this problem, and they said that it should close properly and that they could not tell me why it was not doing so. A repairman came out and said that screws were missing. Called them back to asked for the screws to be sent to me. They wanted to charge me and said shortly thereafter, that they could not tell me which screws were missing. I needed to tell them information so that they could find out from a third party manufacturer... and yes, I am still on hold for a representative to come on the line. I am beyond done with this company... first it was their phones, then their washers, now the refrigerators and after all this typing, they just hung up the phone on me... Go figure!

I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in September of 2009. Since then, I have found puddles of water below the vegetable drawer large enough to soak up with a large bath towel. The temperature sensor went 6 months later so it became warm inside the fridge, and my food rotted. The defrost sensor also went at the same time so a huge chunk of ice formed on the back panel clogging everything. I had to pay $298 out of my own pocket to fix these issues on a new fridge and guess what, it still leaks water all over my beautiful hardwood floors! The worst part is the customer service at Samsung. I was on hold endless times forever. I was promised a call back from a supervisor within 48 hours which never happened. When I called back after 3 days and demanded to speak with a supervisor, after reporting Samsung to the BBB, I was told that I can continue to fix the refrigerator at my own expense because it is out of warranty! The man on the phone was very short with me and rude and dismissive because the fridge was 3 years old! As if a three year old appliance has a right to be breaking down constantly! Never buy one of their product or you will be in the same mess, out the $$$ and with a dead unit that still need to be replace. 5,000.00 in the hole.

We purchased Samsung range, model NE595R0ABBB in November 2014. 3.5 years later, its fried. I am never buying another Samsung appliance ever again. We did purchase an extended warranty for it and it underwent a few repairs. The motor for the convection fan kept burning up, and now I am wondering if the latest incident is linked, because I believe the circuit board shorted out after reading about similar incidents online.Last night, I was preheating the oven and before it got to temperature, it shorted. I was in the next room, and I heard a very very loud buzzing sound coming from the kitchen, like something was being electrocuted, and my kitchen lights were flickering. I ran into the kitchen and there was smoke coming out of the oven. Not too much smoke; it didnt trip our smoke alarm. I turned the oven off, and opened the door, and the bottom panel inside the oven was glowing red in the rear left corner. This was probably the most terrifying minute of my life. I am just so grateful that I was able to act quickly and nothing catastrophic happened.I am glad that I was so close by to turn it off quickly; if I had been upstairs or outside, this could have been worse. I am sure it would have caught fire. As soon as we were able to, we pulled the oven away from the wall and unplugged it. There is no damage to anything outside the oven, though the back panel of the oven looks a little warped. I am not even going to bother getting this repaired; I dont want it in my home anymore. We purchased a GE and are awaiting delivery. Though I wouldnt be surprised if all the wiring is melted and other damage inside resulted from this. Some of my other complaints with this range: I have had oven temperature problems since almost the beginning with this. I am also very disappointed that the paint around the top of the oven door (its plain black, not a special finish) is flaking, and the paint near the stove backsplash where the vents are is flaking, too. The ceramic top has been stained since we first had it; nothing cleans it properly. Even water stains it. The seal around the edge of the ceramic cooktop is eroding. Anything deemed cosmetic is not covered under the warranty.

Had the Samsung refrigerator a little over a year and the ice maker stopped
Had the Samsung refrigerator a little over a year and the ice maker stopped working. Called customer service who ran me through 15 minutes of tests then said a technician would call within 48 hours to come out and repair the fridge. Two days later after not getting a call, I called Samsung again and was informed that the service provider will call me. Samsung tried calling and no luck left message. I was then instructed to run through the same 15 minutes of tests and told (once again) a technician would call within 48 hours. No one has showed up so I called Samsung back again to find out there is only one AUTHORIZED company in the area SA Display. So now I have escalated this because I cant get my ice maker fixed. By reading everyones reviews there is an obvious issue with this model number. So I am still waiting on someone from the escalation department to call me back on how they are going to service this ice maker issue. So not only have I waited 2 weeks to resolution I now have to wait ANOTHER 48 hours for a technician to call me. As of the time of this review my freezer is still broken, there is no set time for the technician to come out and I have wasted my time on the phone with this horrible, incompetent company. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again and can honestly say this is one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with. Customer service is horrible. NEVER again. Buy American, people!!! Never again with Samsung of anything!!!

We bought an elec. Samsung stove top and oven combo because home was wired for elec. We had a Whirlpool before and it was great. This $2000.00 Samsung is pure junk. Burners are way too hot and cycle on and off all the time. The surface is also very hard to clean. We like nothing about this thing. Please dont buy. It is the absolutely awful. It looks good but, that the only good thing we have to say about it. Just would like one that works like a stove top should and be somewhat easy to clean with a constant temp. Samsung 30-in Smooth Surface 5-Element 5.8-cu ft Self-Cleaning with Stream Slide-in Convection Electric Range [Stainless Steel] Price was $1,799.00. Three years ago we purchased brand new Samsung appliances for our remodeled kitchen. BIG MISTAKE! Within 2 1/2 years both ice makers in the refrigerator (model RF323TEDDBSR) stopped working. After 3 repair visits and a 6 week wait for parts to arrive, we paid nearly $400 to have the bottom freezer repaired. It would cost several hundred dollars more to repair the top freezer so we declined to do this. Today, our Samsung electric range (model NE59J7850) overheated and broke. We are going tomorrow to purchase a new range and it WILL NOT BE A SAMSUNG! We will never purchase any Samsung products again.

We Bought our RFG297AARS/XAA June 2009. We love the unit. But in late 2013 we noticed water pooling on top of the freezer door. Turns out there was a leak in the water dispenser. Out of warranty, so I needed to buy a new left door. I lived with the leak, soaking up the water from the reservoir underneath the tray with a paper towel until it became too persistent. In September of 2014, I could take no more and ordered a new door. The technicians were nearly finished installing it when they realized the handle on the new door did not match the one from the original door on the right side. It was longer, and the holes did not line up. A call to their office revealed Samsung stopped making the original door. The technicians were very nice and put the original door back. So now, instead of a 140 dollar door, I would have to buy two of them in order for the refrigerator not to look ridiculous. I called the Samsung Expert Customer Service and said I expected to pay for the left door, but that I felt it unfair to have to buy two doors because Samsung wasnt backward compatible with their handles. The handles! Though nice, the rep conferred with someone and came back to inform me that no, Samsung would not provide the matching door for me. I am now living with the leak until I figure out what to do. One thing I will not do is add to my Samsung collection of 3 televisions, a large computer monitor and a dishwasher. Their refusal to provide a 140 dollar door, on a $3k unit, to match the one I am already buying, because they stopped making the original handle, comes with this result: the thousands I will spend in the future on electronics and appliances will not go to what used to be one of my favorite companies. I will make sure to tell everyone I know and everyone I see in stores looking at a Samsung product. Thats really all I can do with my displeasure, all any consumer who feels wronged can do.

I bought my Samsung refrigerator in Aug 2013. The soda stream compartment failed in the first 6 months and was replaced under warranty. A year later, the fan in the back of the fridge made loud noises. It was covered with ice so the repairman replaced the entire panel. A year after that, it froze again and the repairman pulled it out and thawed it with a hairdryer. This continued every year. Now that I am in year 5, the main display is now inoperable and beeps continuously. The freezer is 48 degrees and the fridge is at 43. It is not cooling at all. Repairman out today said the main panel needs to be replaced. He got it running, but now the compressor sounds like a helicopter. I would never expect this amount of aggravation from a quality brand. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!!! We have decided to buy another brand after 5 years. You would think it would have lasted at least 15.Updated on 08/16/2018: I called Samsung on Aug 3 and was told since my fridge was just under 5 years old, the warranty on the electronics (power board) and compressor would be covered. I submitted all the requested information on their website on Aug 6. After almost 2 weeks (freezer at 62 degrees), a Samsung repair tech came out. He said its not covered under warranty. This is ridiculous to spend $3k on a refrigerator only to have it completely die in under 5 years. I will NEVER buy another Samsung. Im so disappointed.

I bought a house with Samsung appliances and and wish I had asked for new ones from a different brand. Pure junk. The stove burners didnt work properly, the oven heat varied all over the oven when baking. The fridge door drawers all cracked and cost too much to bother replacing. The door flap was broke and fridge didnt cool properly. Food spoiled. Now for the junk of a washer that would take half a day to do a load of wash because when it would go to the spin mode, it would unbalance and kick out only to take another twenty mins to finish or do it again and back to twenty mins again. I would recommend to not buy these from this company. They need to stick to cellphones. By the way, the house was seven years old and the dryer was a different make, assuming it died already. Costly replacing all of this because they make crap.

We bought Samsung everything! From 2013-2015 we bought a stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer and none are now working. The refrigerator stopped making ice and when it was working we would have plastic pieces in our cup. After getting it repaired and paying the fees for them to come out and repair it 5 months later, the whole fridge doesnt work. It is no longer cooling or freezing anything and along with thousands of dollars down the drain for this refrigerator, hundreds of dollars on food is also gone.We also bought a stove and the oven is no longer working. We use it as storage. The washer we bought was no longer spinning the clothes. So we replaced it with another product. The dryer who knows when that will stop working. I thought Samsung was a great company and their products would last long, but this is the worst thing to be wrong about. Thousands and thousands of dollars down the drain. Now we have to buy new appliances. Their customer service is no help and unfortunately we didnt read any reviews. Will never buy a Samsung product again and I will definitely post on social media and tell everyone looking for appliances to not purchase their products either, what a shame.

Don’t buy the 4 door flex. Purchased 2 years ago. Paid more than we have ever paid for a Refrigerator. I was so excited because I wanted an all Refrigerator but wanted a door ice and water dispenser. This was perfect. All was great the first year, then the ice maker quit working. It was extremely difficult to open and when we did it was jammed with ice cubes and ice on the side and frozen ice on the bottom. Had to use a ice pick and hot water to clear it out. When we looked online we found many complaints regarding the same issue. Now EVERY 2 weeks it freezes up. It takes 18 hours to get ice again after I spend 30 minutes clearing and cleaning it out. The amount of ice it produces is very small. I regret this purchase. Don’t buy it unless you don’t need ice.

Bought the refrigerator (Model RF263AEBP) and electric range in August 2010 and have had nothing but problems with the refrigerator since we bought it. Same problems as everyone else is having, freezer has ice accumulation and ice maker quit working. Ice accumulation in the vents in the refrigerator causing water to settle under the drawers and on the kitchen floor. Refrigerator and freezer quit cooling. Repairman finally came out the first of December and told us it has a Freon leak but would have to come back and do a dye test to see where leak is. In the meantime he did something to mess up the compressor so he had to order a new one (Thank goodness it was still in warranty). This was before Christmas. Set an appointment to come back January 16, 2015, to replace compressor. Advised us that he would change out some parts (that we had to pay for) but in probably 4 years we will have the same problems because it would be out of Freon again. Guess they cant fix the leak. If the leak cant be fixed it seems like they would replace the refrigerator. Could not go through Christmas without a refrigerator so we had to buy a new one and believe me it was not a Samsung. I have noticed the last time I did the self clean on the oven, it did not even clean it good. Will not buy another Samsung.

Two different service companies came and changed the thermostat and everything else they could to no avail. I purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator in July 2013. I didnt have any problems with the unit initially. Well as soon as the one year warranty expired the fan started making a loud weird sound. The noise got louder and louder, evidently the refrigerator wasnt cooling. I call Samsungs crappy customer service and they insisted on walking me through a step by step problem solving. I was so frustrated with them. I assured them that everything imaginable just short of throwing it out the back door was done trying to find out what was wrong. Of course, they made sure to inform me that the unit was no longer under warranty and Id have to pay for any repairs, but a technician wouldnt be available until January 7, 2015. I called on December 20, 2015. I was furious and expressed that with the person on the other line, but she didnt seem to care. The refrigerator still isnt cooling. Bought brand new on 8/9/2013, within the first 6 months the ice maker quit working and we could not open the ice maker. Samsung said it was due to a defective motherboard. Fridge was under warranty, they fixed it no problem. New this last week 10/5/2016 the fridge will not stay cold. It stays about 52 degrees. The freezer works fine, but the fridge not so much. Tried resetting the fridge like they said, power cooled it for 24 hours and its still not cold. Called Best Buy because thats where we bought it and they are usually pretty quick to repair, they said that THIS fridge has a reported compressor issue. If the compressor is bad, it can NOT be fixed and the whole unit will have to be replaced. I have to wait until tomorrow to contact Samsung Repair. Has anyone else had this issue? I am thoroughly irritated that this is the 2nd issue for this fridge, which is just now 3 years and 2 months old. Ridiculous! For the amount of money spent on the unit, this is not acceptable.

Samsung Dishwasher does finish washing - stops at delicate cycle. We bought this Samsung Dishwasher in 2014 because we were remodeling an whole house. We moved in December and I used the dishwasher at Christmas. In 2015 probably around the 7th month the dishwasher would not complete a cycle. We had purchased insurance from Lowes, so we called for service. The technician came out and fixed the problem by adjusting the control panel. Six months later, same problem. Called Lowes they have a contract with A&E Services (worst company you could deal with). It took about a week to come out. The tech came and said we need a part (a latch) in which I knew this was not the problem. He said he would order the part and be back in two weeks. We all know it doesnt take that long for a part. Nevertheless, I waited. The tech came installed the part, started the machine and then left.Sure enough, the problem was not solved. I have been waiting over two weeks for them to come back. They pretend they would be back the same day but never showed but they schedule me two days later. Never showed. Called A&E and they said they were having technical difficulties and could not reach anyone. This went on for two days. Called this pass Monday and they schedule me for today, August, 25. The appointment was for a.m. but I called and they said I would be his last appointment. He probably won’t show. Lowes said they would give me 40%, which would only be about $240. or so. We spend 600 because it was on sale. This dishwasher has not been used a lot. Very disappointed in all three companies.

After many calls to Samsung, they said they would fix it if it was the SE problem again but we would need to pay the technician if it was anything else. Ive been without a microwave for over 3 months trying to resolve this. Is there a class action suit filed yet?

After having my above-the-oven microwave for two years, the plastic handle
After having my above-the-oven microwave for two years, the plastic handle broke off the screws it was attached to. After paying $45.95 for a replacement that I was told would be metal, was the same cheap plastic. Then trying to attach the new handle, you have to pry off the molding to get to the screws.

We bought a model s201 from Home Depot on 10/4 13 for $628. We had 3 service calls while under warranty in the 1st year for sensor fan problems. On 7/30/15, it would not turn on. We contacted Samsung and they said it could be a temp. sensor. We called the repair service. They said a service call would cost $109. Plus parts and labor to fix, but could not give cost of parts or time to install. I am having a Bosch dishwasher installed today and the Samsung pc of junk hauled away.

I purchased the fridge on the 6th march 2012. All was ok for about 3 months, then the water dispenser valve stopped working. The door would not close properly, had to manually close it. It has been repaired twice and door still broken. Not good enough dont understand why they won’t replace it...

Please anyone that has had problems with their Samsung Product - no matter
Please anyone that has had problems with their Samsung Product - no matter what the product, contact me. I am trying to get a class action suit started against Samsung and their customer service department. I have had problems with my Samsung dishwasher from day one and now it is Oct of another year. Samsung thinks that they can run the warranties out on their products and people will eat it and buy something else. If your product has not been replaced or repaired, it is still under warranty and we need to get together and make sure these big companies dont think they can get away with that. My dishwasher has been sitting here since June of this year(2014) with water in it. Has been repaired many times and the last time the repairman didnt even get down the road before it broke again. Having trouble with Samsung wanting to repair again, well under the lemon law with is a law it has to be replaced. They are hoping like a lot of people I will just let it drop, no such chance, its the principle of the matter now. Big companies need to pay for their mistakes so please contact me with your information **. If I get enough I can proceed with a class action suit against Samsung. Thank you.
