We bought our Samsung fridge Oct 2010 and it is now May 2014 and the repairman has been here twice now and the fridge (not freezer) has frozen over three times, once after the repair. The guy (not sent by Samsung) came out and for just over 400$ replaced the defrost sensor, cover, since it tore when he tried to take it off (still frozen) and another piece and now one month later it froze up the exact same way and now 274$ later, he is replacing the thermostat. That part is 178$ and the labor is 135$. The labor on this job is obscene. There is no one at Samsung that you can talk to and I hope they fail as a business and go under. They sell crap for a lot of money and they are not helpful AT ALL when their crap brakes.

Bought Samsung french door fridge August 2014. Have had nothing but problems with the ice maker. Repairman has been out numerous times. The last time Sears sent one, he said my ice maker was working as it was suppose to! I am going to call them again and have them come out. It drops ice once every 4 or 5 hours, I dont think that is right. The ice container has never been full and I am the only one using ice and I am gone 9 hours a day! I still buy a bag of ice every 3 or 4 days to fill the ice maker. I am sorry I bought this appliance. Because they obviously are not going to do anything to fix it properly.

To make a VERY long story short... Samsung apparently made thousands of filtration parts incorrectly - even their J & J official Parts technician said they were getting hundreds of call about the part not fitting into the Samsung refrigerator system. I have spent over 4 hours in the past several days trying to get some resolve and get this... Samsung agrees the part was made different than the previous part (the one that, ahem, FIT YOUR REFRIGERATOR!), and now we are to PAY someone to come out and change our refrigerator filtration system to fit their defective parts. Now, how will this work? Will they continue to made the poorly manufactured parts to fit the newer filtration system, or will they correct it and then I would again have a problem with the Samsung part fitting into my Samsung refrigerator. Why oh why didnt we go with a GE?!?

Called Samsung technician to repair leaking refrigerator. Every time it went into defrost mode it would leak water, a little when I first purchased it, then much worse. Refrigerator is nearly two yrs old, so is out of warranty. I am a retired Engineer, so did some reading and found the problem to be a smaller than required heat sink (Samsung calls it a drain clip). This heat sink is suppose to keep the defrost drain from frosting up. Took technician 30 minutes to replace this part with the correct size. Per tech, he gets a lot of this work. Here is my problem, should a company like Samsung be charging the consumer for their design flaw? The cost was $173, part cost was $10 dollars.Called Samsung ECR (Executive Customer Rep), explained that this was not a repair or a fix, but a correction to a design flaw. I thought Samsung would want to stand behind their product, but all she would say was that it was out of warranty. The model # RF263BEAESP/AA. There must be thousands of these out there with this known design flaw. I hope this review helps someone if they are looking for a new refrigerator. Needless to say, I wont be buying any Samsung products in near future.

4 years ago we purchased a Samsung refrigerator with double doors and the freezer in the bottom. After 1 year we started to get frost on the back inside of fridge and also water would fill the bottom of my vegetable drawers. I put up with this until January 2020 when my husband googled the issues and realized the drain tube in the back of fridge was a faulty issue with this product. We thawed out the fridge for 2 days and installed the new drain tube thinking we had the issue resolved. March 5, 2020 I opened the fridge door only to discover the temperature in the fridge was 50 degrees so I pushed the power cool button. The fridge cooled off to 38 degrees again and I thought we were good. This went on for 3 days and we finally had enough. I have purchased a new GE refrigerator and will never purchase another Samsung product.

RF4287HA Refrigerator cannot be repaired - 2 1/2 years old. Loved this refrigerator until I got error code on display one day. Called for Service. Technical came and said unit could not be repaired. He called Samsung and after they spoke, he told me Samsung would call to make arrangements to exchange unit. Told they would even take the old unit back at the same time. Received call today from Samsung requesting receipt. I was then told that Samsung will only be refunding me for the purchase price prorated from the time of purchase. I feel like I was misled and that Samsung does not stand behind their products. I will now be going out tonight to purchase a new refrigerator. It will NOT be a Samsung.

I was wondering how many complaints does there have to be before a company has to recall the product or a class action lawsuit happens? I purchased my Samsung refrigerator in October 2013. January 2014, 3 months after purchase date, the ice machine broke and needed replaced. July 2014, the magnetic strip broke on the French doors and that had to be replaced. August 2015 the refrigerator temperature kept rising, ice formed on the back wall inside and the fan motor was loud. A new drain kit was installed also an evaporator assembly and an evaporator panel with motor. Its January 2017- I have been experiencing the exact problems that happened August 2015, my refrigerator is almost 60 degrees, the fan stopped making that awful sound, maybe it burned up. I call Samsung and they give you the run around, refrigerator is out of warranty, they are not responsible. I am still fighting with them to fix this SAME issue I had before, they dont warranty their own parts? Are Samsung refrigerators disposable after 2 years? My old GE refrigerator side by side is still running great after 18 years. I have never had to have it serviced one time. The repair service is coming today. If Samsung does not cover this I am calling the news, Better Business Bureau and a lawyer. Samsung should backup their products. Samsung has enough bad publicity now, I hope to spread more. Is there a Lemon Law for refrigerators? If the same thing breaks 3 times its a lemon???

We purchased a package deal on 4 Samsung appliances in the summer of 2016. It was suggested that to update our kitchen for potentially selling it that new appliances are a must. The units that we purchased from HHGregg are VERY disappointing. The dishwasher DW80J3020US is very quiet, which is nice, but since there is no latch to lock the door, occasionally we open it mid-cycle forgetting it is on. There is no way to continue the cycle; it has to start completely over. We contacted customer service asking about this and they confirmed this. That is poor design. For the microwave model ME16H702SEB, you cant cook something and use the timer at the same time. It may seem like a small thing, but it is very inconvenient. Again, poor design. We are extremely disappointed in the quality of these units and the lack of attention to detail. They are cheaply designed. Stay away from them.

Design flaw in Samsung refrigerator model RF28HDEDBSR - Very Poor Quality. Purchased on 5/20/15. On 2/15/17, the fridge part iced over behind a plastic panel and stopped working. Something is wrong with the design. It makes a horrible noise when the fan is hitting the ice before it quits. On 8/7/17, it stopped working again after service for this problem on 6/26/17. The replacement part is on back-order! We wish we didnt buy this refrigerator.

The white finish on our 2 1/2 yr old refridge started blistering near the ice/water dispenser. It has been dry there the whole time. This has now been going on for several months. Now there are black spots in the blistering. I have taken photos and emailed them to Samsung. Samsung has refused to pay the approx $600 for a new door. They claim its cosmetic. When this same machine was less than a year, the panel on the dispenser went out and was replaced under warranty. All in all, were very unhappy with the fridge and even more unhappy with Samsungs response. I would never recommend Samsung and would never buy another product from them. Attached is one of the early photos. Its worse now.

We will NEVER buy Samsung again! We purchased a Samsung refrigerator (RF261BEAEWW) in December 2016 and the unit stopped working in April 2018. Samsung initially informed us that the refrigerator was not repairable and asked for us to submit our receipt for replacement or refund. After submitting our receipt we were then informed Samsung needed more pictures of the refrigerator. They told us that the damage was corroded lines due to sulfur in the air. We have never had a problem with sulfur in our home. They said this is an environmental issue and not covered under warranty. The repair company even said that it is unusual to see this corrosion so soon and in our direct area. The lines on the refrigerator should have never corroded that bad in 15 months. We have never had a problem with corrosion on things we have had for years. Even with this information Samsung said they are standing by their claim and will do nothing to help us. We now have a 15 month old piece of junk Samsung refrigerator.

As many others have complained - our Samsung fridge started icing up and filling crisper with water after a year and a half. Samsung states there is no recall and offers no extended warranty although it is obviously a design/construction issue. Their recommended repair service replaced the back panel - stated fan wasnt working (no way to verify) and drain tubes in back/bottom due to poor design and new ones have a better filter. For these fixes we were charged $475 and they only warranty for 90 days! Sad to say, from reading other posts it sounds like the initial problems will recur - probably in a year so no help from Samsung or their recommended repair service. I wish I had researched before purchase - too many complaints here - all with the same issues! There should be a class action suit to recover costs for their defective product! Boycott Samsung -- JUNK!

Upon removing all of the packing tape from my brand new Samsung range, the many problems were revealed. Outer panels were not attached properly (one side held together with the packing tape), behind that panel, another completely detached piece of sheet metal, and the oven light was dangling from its wires. Upon the discovery of this possible electrical hazard, I decided not to risk plugging it in. Now I have a useless range in my kitchen, a fridge full of highly perishable foods to cook, and no resolution for several days... I just have to sit with it and wait for someone for Home Depot to call me back. I assume I will have to take another day off work to await pick-up (Samsung lost my confidence, replacement is not an option). I should have learned this lesson last year when my brand new Samsung phone needed warranty work after two weeks of ownership. I now ask the questions; what is the true cost of this transaction? How much money and personal time will this cost me? Will Samsung compensate me for any of that? After all, it was their carelessness and lack of quality control that lead to this. They could redeem themselves with an appropriate offer, however, based on what Ive read about Samsung CS, its not likely. Goodbye forever Samsung... Thats one Titanic Id like to see sinking.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator in February of 2007. In 2009, it froze up under the plastic wall in the back, making it impossible to close the door. I paid a repairman $200.00 to come and fix it. He put on a new thermostat, cleaned the coils, defrosted everything and put it back together. 1 year later I had to call him back because it did exactly the same thing. Another $150.00. Then in March it did it again. I called a different repairman, thinking he might be able to truly fix the issue, and he told me straight up that Samsung refrigerators have one fan for freezer and fridge. Its a bad plan, it doesnt work and you cant fix it. Lucky me. Well, it happened to me again today, so, now every 2 to 6 months I have to take my fridge apart, defrost it and put it back together. Its a great plan and Samsung is of no help at all. Too bad so sad, but I wont be buying ANYTHING Samsung again... EVER! Ive posted on FB and continue to tell all of my friends what crap they sell.

This Samsung Range model (NE63T8711SG/AA) was purchased in February. Loaded with features as well as the oven compartment having an air fryer and dehydrator. 3 weeks after we purchased the $2000.00 range my wife decided to use the Air Fryer to make wings. The fan in the oven blew grease all over the oven coating the entire enamel surface with grease and the entire house was engulfed in smoke. Took us three days to clean off the caked on grease. Needless to say we will never use the Air Fry feature again. A few days later we tried to make a spaghetti dish. Not wanting to have caked on mess on the bottom we put aluminum in the oven. The oven melted the aluminum and is fused to the enamel surface of the oven. We have tried everything to get it off. Needless to say after calling Samsung, they will not help us with this issue at all. The Range is only 3 months old and the oven has been used a total of three times and they wont help us. Besides this problem we have found that the burner knobs are so touchy that barely bumping them or leaning against the oven slightly will turn the burners on. The burners protrude past the range. Very dangerous! Beware of this oven!

I bought my Samsung DW80F600 less than 2 years ago. Last month I had to have it repaired, calling Samsung is an exercise in futility, on hold forever, excuses, being put on hold to see what they can do, etc., etc. Finally I get passed off to their service contractors and they come out to repair the dishwasher, it seems to work but within 3 weeks same problem happens again. Clearly it was not correctly repaired. This time I google the symptoms and it seems it is a pump problem, not what was fixed last time. Call Samsung and they want another service fee of $100 to fix same exact problem from 3 weeks ago. My answer to is trash this dishwasher and start over. Cant believe this appliance didnt even make it 2 years. I really wish I didnt also have a Samsung refrigerator and range. Dont make my mistake. My new motto is anything but Samsung.

I wish I could give less than one star because thats how disgusted I am with my French door Samsung refrigerator. I purchased it about four years ago. After two years I finally figured out that it was icing up in the back and fortunately it was still under a warranty I had purchased with Lowes but it took close to a month to get all the parts etc. Also lost lots of food. Now again 2 years later the same thing. I called Samsung and became even more irate with the callous we dont give a crap attitude. This refrigerator needs to be recalled and Samsung sued because a company with morals would at least attempt to make a better product after so many of the same problems for so many years. This was to hopefully be my last refrigerator and now I cant even afford to fix the stupid thing. You can add me to the class action lawsuit as well and Samsung needs to recall and take responsibility for wasting our money. I also have a child and infant in the house - Im fearful that someone will end up with food poisoning. This is a huge safety issue Samsung!!!Updated on 07/03/2015: I finally threw most of my food away and pulled the plug on the fridge. It took three days but it finally defrosted. I then plugged it back in and for the time being it is cold and working fine. I suspect that I will end up doing this several times this year but as stupid as it sounds Im bound and determined to get a little more use out of it. So if anyone is in the same situation you might try to unplug, defrost it manually and plug it back in. Hope this can help somebody.

Then in December of 2018 the fan behind the back panel in the refrigerator froze up and I had to replace that. Now I have to defrost my refrigerator every month or two to keep it working. Samsung 2.0 cu ft Over-the-Range Microwave Model SMH9207ST - On August 21, 2013, we purchased this Microwave. On Sunday, December 14, 2014, it simply stopped working. After checking to see that the outlet was hot, I attempted to reset the microwave by leaving it unplugged. Plugged it back in with no results, unless you count nothing happening as a result. This microwave replaced an earlier one from Samsung with the dreaded SE error code that wed had for about 2 years. We got another Samsung because our experiences with 4 Samsung televisions, refrigerator and washing machine had all been good. Bad decision. Ill be replacing this one with a Whirlpool. Im fairly certain that quality has probably been compromised over the past 20+ years, but there was a 3 year old Whirlpool microwave in the house when we bought the house and it didnt get replaced for another 18-19 years. I cant remember, but it may have been replaced because of its outdated styling, not because of any problems. Well see how a 2014 generation Whirlpool microwave holds up.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher in Jan 2014 model #DW80F600UTB/Aa - Do not buy this!!! First off it never dried the dishes then approx 6 month later it would stop in mid cycle blinking lights on panel. After a long hard researching & calling Samsung I was told the issue was the turbidity sensor, I replaced that & it worked for about 3 months. Then it started the same thing, now I am told its the main control panel.. (no I did not get extended warranty). I just got that part but unfortunately the part was bad so I have to send it back for a new one. The bottom line - do not buy this dishwasher. Its horrible. We purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator from Home Depot in Feb. 20
We purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator from Home Depot in Feb. 2014. First problem - within weeks of purchase was that the vegetable drawer had no control for air/temp, fresh veggies died quickly, even carrots and root veggies. We bought $100 of special containers to be able to keep food as fresh as the old fridge. Then within the first two months, we began hearing the often-reported fan noise from ice buildup. This got worse over time and I finally called for service, also complaining about the veggie drawer. Prior to that scheduled service being performed, the next issue was the ice maker failing to shut off, even with the door open and jiggling the paddle switch. Another call to Samsung to add the new problem to the fan noise.Service arrived a week later, with a wrong ticket number, no warranty information, and no parts even for the known issue. The tech corrected the paperwork, inspected and ordered parts. Samsungs Andy then called me after the service to see if repairs were completed, and I told them of the problems with the unit, as well as Samsung not providing proper information for the tech so the service was a failure. I was told we could qualify for a buyback, which I said would be taken into consideration, and was there a time limit. I was told no time limit since the service issues were reported within the 1yr warranty period. When the parts arrived, I called Samsung to explain we were seriously considering the buyback, but were in process with the previous service issues, and should I allow the service to take place. I was told to allow the service and did so. The service was performed, both issues I reported separately were handled together on one ticket. The entire back panel housing the fan was iced up, which the tech confirmed is not normal. The ice maker continued to repeatedly dump ice without stopping, jam, freeze up and require removal, thawing and drying, even after the service.By this time we have opted for the buyback, and phoned Samsung to request it. This time I was told by executive customer service member John, that what Andy told me was not how the buyback worked. Buyback could only happen if the unit is deemed non-repairable with three repair attempts. I explained I already made three service calls, had two repairs, as well as complaints on the drawer issue, and other aspects of the design and quality that were proving very annoying. Another service call was scheduled. This time the tech arrived and was briefed on the history and issues, along with our desire to take the buyback. He ordered a new control panel, which arrived and was installed on yet another service call. The new control did not display properly and was defective. It was removed and the old one installed in its place. I immediately called Samsung to complain about their total failure, and was told they did not yet have the service information from the tech, it should be there in a day.I called a week later to inquire on status, and this time was told by exec c.s. rep, Sherry that not only were there not enough service calls and parts replaced to qualify for a buyback, she had no info from the service company on the service. When she said she had to check to see if we were within some 30 day time limit on the buyback, after having specifically asked two exec c.s. people about any time limitation, I was angry to say the least. There were more communications with Samsung on status of the buyback, process, requirements, schedule, and was given different stories and reasons every single time. I called on 11-10-14 to inquire the latest status of the most recent ticket regarding the buyback process, and the exec c.s. rep told me they had only one ticket on their records; I have at least seven ticket numbers for these issues, four of them being the 510-number range generated only at the executive level. When the tech arrived today, 11-12-14 I made it clear that the only resolution is deeming the unit unrepairable. Because one of our reported issued included cracks in the interior refrigerator walls, the tech was able to get a status of nonrepairable from Samsung. In doing so, the tech had to communicate with both his company and Samsung. The first Samsung rep he spoke to was extremely rude, and actually hung up on the tech. The tech called back, reached a supervisor, and with a few more calls finally got the nonrepairable status. Now I am waiting for Samsung to respond. Under California law, we have endured more than enough repair attempts to qualify for the Lemon Law requirement to buyback or replace the unit. Needless to say, for the combination of poor design, poor quality, and downright insulting customer service, there will never be another Samsung product in our home.Other problems with the unit included poor freezer door fit, hung crooked and uneven, gaps between the inner and outer shell where the door seal must fit, may allow warm air in. The tech showed me how the ice dispenser door does not seal properly and is not well insulated, also letting warm air into the freezer compartment.Another little surprise we got, partially because of the imperfect door hanging, is that we didnt get the freezer door shut all the way one night, and I found it in the early morning hours. Cleared out the ice maker so it wouldnt freeze solid, closed the door and left it alone. Checking in the morning, the display showed the set temp standard of -2F and 38F, so I thought all was well. But when I came in for some ice at 2pm and opened the door, the freezer was 58F with ice cream running on the floor. The unit did not reset without unplugging and replugging, a surprise because we had a power outage of several hours some time ago and the unit was fine.So if you are considering Samsung, I suggest not. As a coincidence, as the tech was here today, a friend called and I told him what was going on, beginning to describe the Samsung issues....before I could even get started, he chimed in with the same litany of problems I have experienced with his Samsung refrigerator. The independent service techs were all professional, and were sympathetic to our problems with Samsung. They did what they could to make it possible to allow us to get some resolution. Both techs who visited us multiple times have a very low opinion of Samsung and their products.

My Samsung refrigerator (Stainless Steel Bottom Freezer) is less than a year old and the freezer stopped working this evening (12 Jun 2018). I am thoroughly convinced, after having read similar reviews published within the last few days and weeks, that the Samsung refrigerators were either immediately defective upon being manufactured or became defective while in transit. Though the product is currently under warranty, I do not look forward to having to deal with the retailer (Home Depot) and/or the manufacturer in order to repair it. I strongly advise the reader to not purchase a Samsung refrigerator.

We bought a Samsung over the range microwave and paid nearly $500 for it. It worked well for a couple of years and then all of the sudden started turning on by itself. Not just the light or the turntable, but it was actually heating as well! Thankfully we were home when it started happening so we were able to prevent what Im sure would have been a major fire. Checked Samsung support site and apparently this is a known and rather common problem with their microwaves, with the only apparent fix being unplug the unit immediately and pay for someone (from your own pocket) to come and fix it. Unfortunately companies as large as Samsung have no interest in dealing with issues like this until someone dies, so recommend NOT buying a Samsung microwave unless you have fire insurance and are hardly ever home.

We purchased a suite of samsung appliances to upgrade our kitchen. We have had problems with literally every piece. Never again. We have the DMT800RHS. This dishwasher has never dried acceptably since day one. It usually leaves food particles. We have learned to inspect dishes as we remove them. We have a perpetual drying mat on the counter. We leave the door slightly ajar when not in use to keep the unit dry. It seems to cut down on the odors. We run a vinegar clean cycle every other month to keep the drains clean. This seems to have solved the intermittent drain code problem. We wipe the seal with a rag every week to prevent sludge build up and seal leaks. My 20 year old car requires less maintenance. After reading many of these reviews I almost feel fortunate. We now have the rack handles dissolving. It seems like the detergent (or possible the vinegar cleaning required for the odor problem) has broken down the rubber to the point it is flaking off and sticking to the dishes. We took a scrapper and removed as much as we could. Hope some of these tips may help some of you get by until you can replace this horrible appliance. Just never again...

The old saying that he/she cant even boil water is true for anyone with this range. Samsung NE594R0ABSR, SN J0ZI7DCF801481Z. Glass cracked while boiling on Fast Boil element. Then the fun started when trying to get warranty support from Lowes extended warranty plan. They had to send out tech to take pictures to determine if damage was caused by abuse. (over a week for this) Tech confirmed not from abuse or physical damage.Nearly four weeks after the event and several phone calls I finally achieved a resolution. On the final call I waited while they first called service tech, they said waiting on parts, no idea how long. Then Lowes called Samsung to get a ship date, and could not get an answer from SAMSUNG aka SamSUCKS in my view. So we agreed to a buyout and they are sending a check, so I am out only the cost of extended warranty and delivery, feel fortunate about this part. Now for the best part! They do not want the unit back, said to just throw it away! Done with SamSUCKS forever...

This is the worst company ever! The reason they only give you one year warranty is because they know their stuff is going to break down immediately afterwards and then you’re out of warranty. Every time these things that break down are ONLY very large electronic items that aren’t covered-so stay clear of this brand. I have now experienced a problem with the dishwasher and the refrigerator and theyre less than three years old.

We bought a Samsung refrigerator from Lowes when we moved in March this year. Three weeks ago, the freezer compartment broke down. Samsung’s customer service said that they would send someone to repair it. Two days later, the maintenance staff came to check and said the parts were defective. It took another week or so to fix it. However, the whole refrigerator stopped working the next day, which was last Friday. Everything we bought went bad! The worst thing was to call Samsungs customer service. I waited online for three hours and finally got connected. They told me that they will call me back within 24 hours. Yesterday was Tuesday, there was still no calling back. Finally, I called them again, and was told the calling back time was 72 hours now! It is Wednesday today, and the person in charge has not been contacted yet. There are elderly and children in my house, and our daily meal becomes a difficult, especially in this COVID-19 pandemic. We cant eat out a lot. We have to go to groceries every single day to buy the food for that day! We are taking a great risk! In general, Samsungs refrigerator had a quality issue- it stopped working in only four months, and the after-sales service was even worse! Its really disappointing! I will try my best to aware more people!

I have a model RF24FSEDBSR/AA. The ice maker repeatedly freezes up, requiring me to take a hair dryer and melt the block of ice thats formed around the internal dispenser. I usually have to do this about every month. Then, I usually have difficulty getting the ice bucket aligned so I can reinsert it. The owners manual says if it doesnt line up to turn the helix on the back of the bucket 90 degrees and try again. Ive tried repeatedly (and not just 90 degree turns) and havent had any luck. I feel like Im trying to crack the combination on a safe! The bucket sits on our kitchen counter until I calm down and regain my patience to try again. Would not get a Samsung fridge again.

This dishwasher makes it difficult to load plates and bowls into the bottom shelf. They slide into guides at an angle, straddling two rows and ending up crooked, requiring constant readjustment. Never encountered that before in any dishwasher. Also sometimes this dishwasher doesnt completely clean dishes, especially if food is dried on, say, between fork tines or on a plate rim. Yuck! Never had that before either. I would never buy this brand again.

Samsung Microwave: Had two service calls, one under warranty in less than two years. Third time it went out I decided it wasnt worth $100 service call plus parts. The digital panel works were defective. So bought another GE the brand I previously had for 11 years before buying the Samsung refrigerator. Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator: Began rusting after 1 1/2 years around the bottom edges of the water dispenser section. Had kept it dry each time it was used. Called and was told too bad, out of warranty. Wouldnt do anything and wouldnt give me any suggestions as how to get it repaired. Lowes where I purchased it wasnt any help either. Thought maybe it was leaking from the inside door where the ice cube apparatus was placed. Still rusting. Only thing Im told to do is put appliance touch-up paint over the three spots after sanding. That has never really looked very nice when using that approach on anything in the past. Will never buy a microwave or refrigerator from Samsung again. They should stick to cell phones and TVs. My previous refrigerator was also a GE which never rusted in the 10 years I owned it. Au revoir Samsung appliances. Shame on them. Terrible customer service and construction. Very disappointed.

The mold is between two pieces of plastic and you cannot get to it without destroying the icemaker. The ice machine is located in the fridge and you cannot get to the actual ice. I purchased an expensive french door Samsung refrigerator with bottom freezer from Lowes. When the refrigerator was less than a year old, I noticed the freezer was frosting up. But then the problem went away only to return a couple months later but this time the whole freezer iced up. Lowes said it was out of warranty so they gave me Samsungs number. A Samsung repairman came out and blamed the problem on not closing the door properly. He defrosted the freezer and after that, the freezer stopped working completely. A second call to Samsung and the same repairman showed up. This time he said to repair it, he would have to weld and refill the freon but that would cause a lot of smoke in the kitchen and there was some risk in bringing in canisters of flammable gas, etc. He wasnt too eager to do the repair and felt the refrigerator should be replaced by Samsung. Given his track record I wasnt confident about this repair. Samsung has refused to replace the refrigerator, pay for the labor to repair it, and send a different repairman. I will never purchase another Samsung product.

Bought this from SEARS just before Christmas around December 22 of 2010 to match the Samsung Stove that I bought for the new home that we had just moved into. Looked great and I was very pleased until it stopped working on Jan. 4th of 2012 (approximately). Throwing the error code SE and unplugging it and re-plugging it back in would allow it to work for maybe 5 minutes. I was so upset when I called Sears and they wouldnt even entertain the idea of coming out to service it unless I wanted to pay for the service call and whatever the problem was to fix. I realize that there is only a 1-year warranty on the microwave, but come on! It stopped working 2 weeks past the 1-year warranty end. Whatever happened to standing by what you sell? Its a shame that most of these products are made overseas and so cheaply and then sold for way more than they are worth. Its obvious to me that Samsung products are pretty much pieces of crap that arent even worth looking at. I encourage anyone considering one of their products to think twice. I am a very unhappy consumer and will tell everyone that I know to not even consider any product manufactured by Samsung. Yes, I could have purchased an extended warranty but come on people, 54 weeks an appliance works before breaking down and needing repair? That is absolutely absurd. I pretty much told Sears that they lost a customer and anyone else that I knew too. No wonder they are going out of business! They have terrible customer service and dont give a damn about the consumer. I had an independent service company come out to take a look, who, by the way did not charge me for the service call, as I had explained the situation to them. He checked it out and told me the motherboard would have to be replaced and that it would cost almost as much as I paid for the microwave in the first place. How disappointing that I have been sitting here with a microwave for the past 2 years that doesnt work because I dont exactly have the luxury of being able to just go out and purchase a new one every year or two. Im furious at Samsung for manufacturing such a substandard product and then knowing that it has problems, refused to do any kind of recall or offer to repair at no charge and also SEARS for being so not standing behind what they sell. Cheap labor = cheap materials = cheap products. Truly disgusting!

Purchased Samsung FTQ307 in 2012, extended warranty. After 3 years of wonderful use it burns out the inverter and power control board. Contacted Lowes for warranty and they stipulate its out of warranty. I make the purchase to replace burned out cards. It worked for 4 days and burns out in the same fashion. Contacted Lowes again to verify warranty information and then it was under warranty when it originally broke but is not anymore. Contacted Samsung. The glass-top and internals under the glass-top are cover under a 5 year parts warranty. They honored said warranty and added in the labor too since it originally failed under the extended warranty. Technician came out to repair but did not have all the parts. They were on back order. Samsung placed paperwork in to reimburse cost of parts that I installed and began the process of doing a buy back. A few days later Samsung said they never said they were going to reimburse parts cost and that they were would never offer a buy back. Repair guy came out and repaired the stove. 2 hours later it burned out again. Samsung and the repair company have a 30 day labor and 60 day parts warranty. Samsung has now voided all warranty to everything. All my major appliances are Samsung. I will be selling them all with a different company and will not ever own a Samsung device again. In the whole process of dealing with Samsung, they would say and/or offer one thing and the next day take it back or say it never happened. And with the actual repair company Samsung stated that the technician said it was because it was repaired by my hand that I caused the issue, when in fact they did not say that.

I bought a beautiful Samsung refrigerator in July. It has water/ice on the door and a second climate drawer. Laid out perfectly - plenty of storage. In August, we noticed it was leaking water under the filter so we replaced the filter and it didnt improve. We turned off the water to the fridge and the leak continued. We called a repairman, through Samsung, and waited a couple of days for him to come. He diagnosed a broken valve and had to order a replacement part that he thought would take 8-10 days. When I hadnt heard back in 3 weeks, I called the repair company and they said the part was back ordered. They suggested I contact Samsung to get an estimated delivery time. Thus began 6 weeks of me contacting Samsung, spending hours on the phone, asking the same question, repeating the same story to every person I spoke with. Finally, I could stand it no longer and begged to be escalated. I finally found out there was no estimated time - no one knew if this part would ever be available. In the meantime, I have to daily mop up the water that comes out and floods under the produce bins; the second drawer is not usable because the water fills it and freezes. It ruins any food packaging. The water also spills out the drawers onto the floors and my hardwood floors are now damaged. I was escalated to Jaz. What a disappointment. She ignored my calls for days and only finally tried to speak with me when I hit 0 from her voice mail and begged another rep to help me. This lady definitely needs additional training in handling angry customers. She ultimately offered to swap the fridge, a frustrating process because we have a small opening and in your newer model of this fridge, youve added side vents that arent included in the specs and wont fit the opening. We finally came to a solution on October 31 and she 100% guaranteed that the new fridge would arrive on November 14 at the latest. On November 17th, I called at the end of the day to say I still hadnt received the fridge, not that I was surprised at this point. She committed to getting back to me once she found out where it was. She left me a message at noon the following day to say that the fridge was with a local delivery company and she would call back when she had a time estimate. I called again today, November 19, and left another message. Its been almost 3 months since I could use my fridge properly. I still have to mop up the leaking water and theres a whole section of the fridge I cant even put food in, not to mention no ice or water. She did offer me $150 as repayment for food spoilage, but I have not seen hide nor hair of that either. This is the WORST experience Ive ever had with an electronics manufacturer and I still have no idea when it will be resolved.

Well, here are my 2 cents worth - we also had our almost 2-year-old Samsung microwave SMH9187B start turning on by itself (baked potato feature). This has got to be a safety issue! Then, more and more, we got the SE showing up on the display. My husband managed to fix it a few times by taking the control panel apart and trying to protect it from what he figured was happening - oxidization of contacts whenever steam from the oven/ stove below got into it or maybe even if it got quite steamy inside the microwave. Now its definitely dead, though, and when he spent an hour on the phone to Samsung, they acted as if it was a problem theyd never heard of before and refused to do anything about it. I cant believe theyd ignore so many people with the same defective microwave.

We purchased our Samsung fridge a little over a year ago and about 6 months into having it I lifted the little tray where the water and ice are located and found that it had rusted! The rust has continually grown out onto the fridge door causing the paint to chip off and leave sharp metal for my children to injure themselves. I have contacted Samsung and because this is a Cosmetic defect they will not do anything to fix it. It is beyond frustrating that you pay a large amount of money for something and it is not up to the standards that it is advertised. I have always purchased Samsung products but I will say this was our last. They have lost a Samsung customer for life.

I purchased a 4 door Samsung refrigerator 18 months ago 01-21-17. The icemaker is defective, per the technician that indicates this is a known issue and not a recall, but basically the water spatters as it fills the ice maker, causing frost to build up, and eventually freezing the fan. This leads to melting of the ice and re-freezing and more frost and eventually locks up the entire ice maker. In some cases the ice builds up so quickly that you cant get the ice drawer out. This is not a gasket or seal issue. The issue is caused by a poorly designed water filling process that eventually fails, so if you want to piss away $2800 buy this RF23J9011SR piece of junk.

We bought our Samsung French Door refrigerator with ice maker about two years ago. All was great until two weeks ago when the ice maker started leaking. The ice coming out was wet and just made a mess. There was no ice being produced in the freezer drawer tray either. Husband took it apart, found the tubing was frozen so he fixed that. We have ice in the freezer tray again but the ice maker still isnt working (despite resetting it and lower the freezer temps). We havent attempted to contact Samsung based on other peoples experience (that it was a waste of time). Disappointing since we too paid a ridiculous amount of money for the refrigerator. We also owned a Samsung plasma TV that bit the dust after two years. Done with Samsung. Also going to contact Consumer Reports as this refrigerator (and many other Samsung products) appear as top picks (which is what prompted us to buy this particular model).

Do not buy Samsung Range/Oven. After a little over a year the top glass exploded. It damaged one of the burners. It never did heat properly from the beginning. Not only will Samsung not to do anything because it’s out of warranty but they can’t because they don’t make the parts for it anymore. The burners are no longer available and the glass top is on at least 25 day backorder. We bought a four appliance package from RC Willey’s. Microwave, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher. Microwave turns on when you when you shut the door. You have to push the stop button where it will just run all day long no matter what. Dishwasher smells foul no matter what we do. Samsung will not answer emails and their live chat stops working as soon as you describe your problem and they ignore you. Don’t buy Samsung appliances.

Local appliance company comes next day. Main control board failure. 17 Months MTBF. LOUSY! Assessment is labor, revisit and part but likely hood of another failure make this product a HAUL away to the disposal center. Samsung refrigerator noise/rattle issues, convention over poor stove top quality - scratches. SAMSUNG never again. DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER! My wife and I purchased this dishwasher in February 2014. It lured us in with its beautiful looks and promise of quiet operation. For nine months this dishwasher worked flawlessly. It cleaned our dishes well and you could never tell this thing was in operation when it was running. During the first week of November we got an LE code and the dishwasher shut down. The manual told us to cut the power to it and call Samsung for service. It took two weeks to get a technician to our house and he had to order a new control module and a new leak sensor. Apparently LE is the fault code for leak. When the Technician replaced these items the machine started working again. Two days before Thanksgiving the dishwasher stopped working again and was flashing the LE code again. This time it took almost a month for the Technician to get to our house and he couldnt find the leak so he ordered an entire Sump Assembly since Samsung told him this is the only other thing that could be wrong. Christmas Eve, the technician came out and replaced the Sump Assembly and got the machine running again. On New years day, a week after the repair, our dishwasher stopped working again and was displaying this dreaded LE code again. I immediate called Samsung and they scheduled the repair man to arrive for another repair today but the machine started working again yesterday (assuming the water leak dried up) and the repair tech called Samsung to explain to them the situation. Samsung told the repair tech since he couldnt recreate the problem theyre not going to recognize there was a problem and they were not going to pay for the service call. Even the repairman was disgusted with this and called his supervisor to explain the situation and jumped through hoops to find a way to keep us from paying for the service call. He even called the store we bought the machine from and explained the situation to them which lead to the store telling me to bring this piece of junk in to them tomorrow and theyll give me a new machine of equal value and different brand name.I went online and entered the model number of this dishwasher in google and I am in shock from the amount of complaints I see about this dishwasher and theyre all the same complaint. That LE code and the inability to get it fixed and Samsung refusing to do anything more than toss new parts at it. This dishwasher is in need to be recalled but Samsung will not acknowledge it. PEOPLE PLEASE!!! DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER! There needs to be a class action lawsuit brought up against this company. Also everyone that has been ripped off by this company needs to simply contact the Federal Trade Commission and make them aware of this Samsung sponsored con game being ran on American consumers.

I am very dissatisfied with the range. The burners will not change from fast boil to simmer. Two technicians checked the range stating that there is nothing wrong with the burners. I was told that In order to change temperatures, I must turn the range OFF after using fast boil then turn range BACK ON to simmer! Also the black top is very difficult to keep clean. My previous Whirlpool was not a problem. I regret having purchased the 4-piece package. Even the dishwasher basket is not satisfactory. The microwave enamel chipped after 3 months use. I am very careful with my appliances. After saving for a few years to purchase I am disappointed...

We renovated our entire kitchen in Samsung appliances. Our $3,300.00 4-door flex refrigerator lasted 2.5 years and my wife and I have been fighting with customer service (CS), since November 2017, to get them to honor their warranty. CS initially sent an authorized service person who tried to fix it and recharged the refrigerant. He stated that if this didnt fix the issue, since it was a sealed system, it is un-repairable. It worked for approximately 2 months and the issue returned. This points to a slow leak in the sealed system which has a 5 yr part/labor warranty. Next time we called they claimed they couldnt issue another ticket because our serial number had a refund already issued against it, though the refund wasnt in our name or sent to us. We feel their error is not our problem and shouldnt delay our warranty service request. They wouldnt budge.Since then weve heard nothing but excuses and well call you in a week. Another CS rep claimed the vendor (Home Depot) must have shipped a unit that had been previously returned (laughable), Home Depot doesnt stock the appliances theyre shipped straight from Samsung. We both actually heard these claims on our phone. Every time you call you have to re-explain the issue to them and Im sure they keep a file on your case. Now theyre asking me to remove the label from the appliance and send a picture to them (doesnt that invalidate the warranty?). This has been the most frustrating experience weve ever had. Youd think such a big company would want their name to stand out in a positive light. WE ARE NEVER BUYING ANOTHER SAMSUNG APPLIANCE AGAIN. Im contacting my states Attorney Generals office and the FTC about our issue. We may not be able to get financial relief but, if it is determined that what theyre doing is illegal, they will spend money in legal fees and fines. There are state and federal consumer laws regarding warranties. I hope this word gets out so maybe theyll change their ways. Best to document all contacts with them to show how they treat you. Their service techs dont give paperwork so you gotta keep all emails, texts msg, phone records to present your case.

I preferred to select 0 stars but that is not an option. I purchased a bottom freezer fridge on 7/26/2007, Model RB195BSSW. For several days, the freezer isnt working properly and the fridge isnt cooling sufficiently. This morning, a Best Buy technician came out to troubleshoot and determined the circuit board needs replacing. I called Samsung since the fridge is less than 5 years old. No help, the person on the phone just kept telling me I could go through Best Buy to fix the issue or have Samsung come out at my additional expense. This is unacceptable for a product that is less than 5 years old. Ive purchased many Samsung products in the past - TV, cellphones and never (knock on wood) have had an issue. I am very disappointed in their product and lack of service.

I am sitting here one week after having our new Samsung dishwasher delivered and unable to install it because of a couple of brackets and screws that were not shipped with the unit. Upon delivery, the delivery company opened the box and we inspected for damage...none. That was great. We set it aside for installation later in the week, (after a new kitchen floor was to be installed.) When I proceeded to install today discovered that the included parts other than the kick plate were nowhere to be seen. Contacted Samsung... They directed me to the Samsung/Home Depot centre. Their answer “Sorry, not reported within 24 - 48 hours.” Are you kidding me? For the lack of a few parts costing less than $5 they would rather have me return it to Home Depot! Home Depot is now trying to work with them. I simply cannot believe the bureaucratic nonsense and lack of common sense.

The Samsung fridge model RB2155SH freezer compartment changes temperature. I emailed Samsung and was told the fridge is no longer under warranty and I was on my own to get it repaired. I had a repair man fix it a couple of years ago for the same problem when it was still under warranty, but it didnt last. I went online to research the problem and found out the defrost sensor might be the problem. After removing the cover in the freezer that covers the coils, I found a lot of burnt areas and cracks in the freezer compartment. Also, the defrost sensor was also burnt. I replaced the sensor and also took pictures of the freezer compartment showing the burnt areas and areas where the compartment was bubbling up from heat. This fridge is a fire hazard. I bought the NE58K9500SG, slide in range in Nov., I would like to report a safety issue. The knobs on the front are too easy to turn. My husband and I are constantly turning the stove top on by accident with our body while reaching to the back burners or the cabinet above the stove or the microwave. We have young grandchildren in the house from time to time and I am worried about it. While we were hanging a backsplash the stove top came on and we werent aware of it. I really dont know what to do about it and Im trying to adapt to it. I love the range but Im worried about the safety of it. I cant give this a higher rating because I feel its just a matter of time before something worse happens. I have contacted Samsung support to let them be aware of the design flaws and I will update my review when or if I hear back from them.

I have had it less than a year and when I called Samsung oh my God it is a nightmare. They tried to blame it on everything but themselves. When they came out the first time they brought the wrong part and they were suppose to replace the brain of the oven. That never happened. When I started looking at the reviews for this oven they are all the same. Many many issues for such a high price item that we pay for. I do not recommend buying this brand of oven. I contacted Samsung and they suggested doing a steam clean. Obviously that would not work. Two technicians told me not to have the glass replaced that it would only happen again as the seal was broken. Samsung will do nothing as it is cosmetic and now Home Depot Extended warranty will also do nothing because of same reason. If this is an ongoing problem, we should have been made aware of this before purchasing. Also should have been told this problem would not be covered under the extended warranty. This is not a happy customer although I do like the stove. But for the amount of money I paid for this, it should not look like it does after a year. I bought a Samsung refrigerator RS263TDR from my local Lowes store. About 18 moths later ice would collect on the back wall & water at the bottom of the fridge department. I called Samsung customer service and they advised me to go to a local certified Samsung repair shop. After the first year, Samsung customer service told me that these parts are not under warranty, repair cost $275.00. Just a few months later the ice maker was defective and water level was out of adjustment and too much water would overflow over the existing ice cubes. The ice cubes would become just one big block of ice and a sensor was dangling in the ice maker area. So we shut the ice maker off. A few months later the entire refrigerator shut down and we could not restart it again. Samsung technician told us that the main electronic motherboard is burnt and this is a major part and shall be covered for at least 5 years. In my disbelieve Samsung does not cover it after just one year. It is not worth it to repair this unit again! Parts and labor over $850. Ok this will be a bit long: I got my kitchen remodeled Nov 2020. Purchased all 5 Samsung appliances, from Best Buy. Had issue with every one except the microwave which we dont use much of. I have been on hold for Samsung Case managers for over 2 1/2 hrs. So I figured I would kill time by leaving this review so no one else will have to go thru what I have, and currently am going thru. My issues started about 2 mos of installation. First issue was my cooktop. Kept giving out error code and wouldnt turn on. Then it wouldnt turn off. At the same time my ice maker was freezing over and wouldnt dispense ice. The ice maker issue got resolved, then I realized my refrigerator was freezing my food, noticed it with my eggs. Tech came and repaired, but happened again. Called Samsung pro talked to customer service, who tried to provide the best care they are able to, but they cant make any decisions. Because its been serviced 3 times I have the option to get my refund or replace the refrigerator. I opted to get a refund cause I dont want to take any more chances with Samsung products. I had to submit a receipt along with the ticket #. After the third attempt I was finally told that they can escalate it from customer service to a Case Manager. Unfortunately these Case Managers are hard to get a hold of. This process began November 17, 2021. Today is December 2, 2021. I was first told a case manager was going to contact me within 3-4 business days, I get no calls, no emails then on November 30th I get a short generic email stating that they made several attempts to contact me and if I can call them back at 1-800-Samsung at my earliest convenience. As soon as I got the email I called 1-800-Samsung and got customer service who informed me that the department they need to transfer me to is closed. I asked her if she can send them an email and have them call me, because I did not receive any calls from them, I had no miss calls, no messages, she said she did, still no calls or emails. Today I have the day off so here I am typing this review, still on hold 3 hrs later. I live in Hawaii and their office hours are 9-9 EST. I am grateful I have an extra fridge in the garage to store my things. In addition to my refrigerator issue, I am awaiting a claim ticket for a third service call on my double oven, which has super uneven heating. I am beyond frustrated. So save yourself the frustration and stay away from Samsung. For some reason the newer models are not quality. Doesnt work properly and even though warranty seems to be good on paper, its almost impossible to get thru.

I bought this model a year ago in June 2016. We had one visit from tech so far when refrigerator refused to turn on and cool. Tech came and fixed issue with electronic board. Now just over a year later I am having same problem as previous writer. The refrigerator is not cooling yet freezer is. Am attempting to contact service, but meanwhile all food is spoiling. Our last refrigerator - simple model different brand with no bells whistles lasted ten years without an issue. Would not recommend this model due to issues after only one year plus. Obviously this is occurring after the warranty has expired so it will cost money to repair.
