New 10/2014 Have had issues with ice maker since new. Many calls to Electrolux at which I had to take numerous hours off work. Several different companies have been sent to correct problem at which it has NOT been fixed. Problem still continues and now is making noise on and off. Went before Electrolux board for replacement and was denied due to the fact the service people they use did not call from the house so to them there was not enough evidence. Duuuggghhh! Now, you know they have records of my calls and the people they sent out!! I was told by one Electrolux person that I need to have repairman call them from my house. Is that my responsibility? NO. One repair guy said, Nah no need for me to do that! I do not think it is my place to tell them anything! One repair guy told me that it was as good as it would ever be. It has always put out crushed ice from the cubed slot. To me cubed is cubed and crushed is crushed. NEVER had this issue with my other fridge. I have done tons of research and they have major issues with their ice makers, period! Monday I took off work again to have the repair guy show up and the order that had been called in (by a manager) said I was out of warranty and to charge me. Sooo, he had to leave and now we are waiting again... another day off work for yet another company to come next week! Oh yeah, and by the way they did not get anyone out after the Monday incident, I had to again take my time to call them. This is completely ridiculous and uncalled for! I really want my money back because this is fridge 5, all ice makers with way too many issues, unfixable! All within the first year! I could go on and on but this is just the tip off the iceberg. Today they told me I had to call the service guy to set my time but they had already give them a dispatch number. Called and guess what no #. Sooo again I had to call again! I think I need to be on their payroll!

I wish I had read reviews on the Electrolux refrigerators before purchasing. I have owned the refrigerator 2 years. The Ice maker has been repaired 3 times, but still doesnt work correctly. The main board failed recently and cost $500 to repair and took two weeks to get repaired. We also have trim coming off the freezer. The repairman says wed need to replace the whole door to fix. Im so frustrated. The customer service is horrible. The product is worse.

July 2010 saw purchase of new refrigerator, Electrolux, who happens to be one of two major providers of appliances in this country. Received a one year warranty (as long as I was willing to pay for the authorized serviceman to come verify my claim of what was wrong with it because only the parts themselves were free). Eight months after owning it the door handle broke off upon opening it. Normal wear and tear with two adults and zero children. It was covered under warranty. Eight months after that the same thing happened with the door handle breaking off in my hand. No coverage as warranty expired. That takes us up to today, in 2016. FIVE YEARS and a couple months... How long should a consumer expect to be able to get use of an appliance such as a fridge? The one we replaced was 22 years old and still running, but I wanted energy efficient appliances. Bad decision! They sure dont make them solid like that anymore... At least not mine.So today, spring cleaning, I discovered that the left and right sides both are covered in little hairline cracks, all over the sides. Almost looks like what would happen if something got too hot then too cold or vice versa... I dont have any idea how this kind of fractures on the inside of the fridge could happen. Unless it is because of manufacturers defective product. Something about the material they used is just not up to par for what is needed in a fridge. Thats my first guess. But of course there is zero warranty and the phone rep would not even discuss possibilities of the company taking responsibility for defective products. I will be watching close though, to see if there is ever a recall on them. It wont be able to be used for very much longer. Five years on a fridge? Is that supposed to be the new standards we are going to be forced into dealing with from one of two of the major providers of appliances in the United States? I sure hope not. They are too expensive and really too heavy to replace every five years. Wow, will the land fills be filling up then, huh.

Purchased a brand new fridge, had nothing but problems with it as it does not work at all. Have had people come out to service it numerous times and still nothing. I have waited on hold on the phone for over an hour before having to hang up. Emailed three times and received nothing other than the automated response. Terrible customer service, terrible appliances. Would never recommend Electrolux and wish I had read previous reviews.

We bought this refrigerator (Model FGHT1846QF4) to replace a similar model we had before. The fridge is very noisy, much more than the previous one. The overall quality is poor, very light refrigerator that moves easily when opening the door. The customer service people were very nice but the manager was not sensitive to our complain. I do not recommend this product. I was very disappointed with both the product and the company.

We bought a new Electrolux refrigerator in July of 2014 and were told by our sales person that Electrolux was a higher grade brand. We believed him and opted to spend a little more to get what we thought would be a bit better quality. Were we wrong! One year and one week to the day, our wiring harness burned out, causing my entire house to smell of burn plastic. All of my food took on the taste and smell of burnt plastic and my refrigerator stopped cooling. When I called Electrolux, they basically told me we were out of luck since we were out of warranty, but they could offer me an extended warranty for $575 (what a deal). We have spent the last 2 days fighting with them over this piece of crap refrigerator that lasted us an entire year and we can either buy the extended warranty or be forced to buy an entirely new refrigerator. Needless to say, I will NEVER buy an Electrolux appliance as long as I live. I will go out of my way to tell people what a substandard product they manufacture and how they provide no concern for customer service or satisfaction. As a consumer I have to wonder why companies push extended warranties when they claim that their products are superior in quality. Shouldnt a refrigerator last longer than 1 year?

We purchased an Electrolux French door refrigerator five years ago. It is now dead, as a problem with the ice maker caused the back of the refrigerator to completely rust out. I researched the issue and saw that this has happened dozens or hundreds of times with Electrolux refrigerators. I tried to get some satisfaction from the CEO, Alan Shaw, but he would not take my call, hiding behind a woman named Rita. They did offer me a 25% rebate on a new Electrolux product, but I would think since it is a known problem, and the unit only lasted 5 years, I would get a rebate of 65-75%. I was shocked when Rita told me that Electrolux refrigerators only last for 5-7 years. I don’t think I have ever had a refrigerator last less than 20 years. I have a new slogan for Electrolux - “buy an Electrolux - they only last 1/2 as long as the competition. Obviously, I will never buy another Electrolux product and I would encourage you to avoid them at all costs. They have no interest in customer satisfaction.

The refrigerator was purchased in ‘08. So far, the paddle to dispense water and ice has broken. There was no replacement for the paddle. You had to buy the entire dispensing system. Next, the circuit board fried. Again, it cost big bucks. There was no warranty. Now the defrost fan burned out. Again, it cost $250, not to mention the food that got ruined. Thank God the old GE fridge the Electrolux replaced, that was put in the garage, still works after 15 years. Never again will I buy Electrolux.

My husband and I have had nothing but problems with our Electrolux refrigerator. We have had the ice maker serviced numerous times. Now it’s out of warranty and have paid 800 dollars to fix something that Electrolux knew could not be fixed. Now Electrolux won’t help us on a refrigerator that we bought for 3700 dollars. Electrolux won’t help us at all. Electrolux is a terrible company when it comes to customer service and Electrolux does not stand by their product. Purchased Electrolux side x side refrigerator model EI26SS56GWO, s/n 4A82217631, new in 2008. Most expensive refrigerator I have ever purchased and the WORST! Issues: Motherboard just went out. Again! 3rd time in 5 years. 4 motherboards in 6 years if I choose to repair this again. Ice maker valve assembly has been replaced 4 times in 6 years. Freezer door handle cannot be secured, and thusly hangs loosely and sloppy. If my recollection is correct, I believe this unit was billed as the most quiet refrigerator ever when first released. Mine has had a loud hum since day one. Customer service, would be better served if called Customer non-service. The most uncaring do nothing customer service department I have ever encountered. BUYER BEWARE!!! I can provide more receipts when I locate them.

We have already spent at least 20 hours following every Electrolux procedure to the letter, regardless of how inane the reasoning only to finally be denied a solution. It is the same story about the defective ice makers they designed and installed in thousands of refrigerators a few years back. Bottom line - We would pay for parts but since the ice maker cant be fixed there is nothing we can do for you. Yes we bought $6000 worth of Electrolux products when remodeled our kitchen and they made a defective product but its on us. Thank you very much. They said they dont care about negative Internet reviews because only unhappy people post - not happy ones. Brilliant! So, we vote with our wallet and words. Never buy an Electrolux or any brand by that company and tell as many people as possible. So, when they hire a consultant to find out why the stock is down maybe they will discover these communications and determine that it does matter to try to protect rational consumer relationships.

I purchased a refrigerator from home depot on the 23rd and it was delivered
I purchased a refrigerator from home depot on the 23rd and it was delivered to me on March 2. Before the delivery guy brought the fridge in he informed me that the fridge was dented and if I wanted a new one I would have to wait another week without a fridge and with a small child that was out of the question. So I decided to call Electrolux to see if I could be compensated for the fridge. I talked with ** and she told me without pictures I could have $40 off the fridge, I took pictures of both sides of the fridge and did not hear back from her. I called the next day and spoke with ** and he said I guess we can give you $60 off. I was upset with the rude comment and said that I was still unhappy and he said well what are you expecting? I was not expecting anything but would have liked to be acknowledged that what I bought was not what I received. He told me he would talk to a manager and call me back the next day, I called and spoke with him again and he said I guess we can give you the $100 off. I was very upset by the way I was being treated and said that I would just prefer to have a new fridge sent since that is what I paid for. His response was oh so now youve changed your mind, we will deliver, then hung up on me. I got no apology for the situation or any details about when the new fridge would be delivered. I am astounded by the horrible customer service this company hires. I called back after being rudely hung up on and he refused to pass me on to a manager. I called back several times after this trying to speak with a manager and not one person would help me. It is now March 20 and after going to home depot in person I got the first apology for my situation and the man working there was amazing and threatened to call head office if my issue was not resolved. Turns out ** did not give my phone number to the delivery company. Appalling, dont use this company, its not worth it

We purchased this expensive refrigerator in January of 2014. The in freezer ice maker does not stop working even when the ice bin is full. When opening the freezer drawer the ice cubes get knocked off into the back of the freezer and when the drawer is closed the drawer gets knocked off. The drawer slides and the drawer will not close properly and is difficult to correct. The plastic fascia on the freezer door cracked and Electrolux will not offer any compensation to repair this manufacturing defect because it happened two months after the year warranty.

We bought a refrigerator in November 2018, needed to change the whole complete cooling system in February 2019, and we are now waiting for a technician in August 2020 because our food is freezing. Very bad customer service, hard to reach someone: tried to called a lot of times and was told by a machine to call back because the lines were too busy. When I reached someone, VERY rude, she didn’t seems to want to help me. The date for a technician was 1 to 2 weeks after the call. Very far when you got 4 kids to feed and food is wasting everyday in the expensive fridge that we bought 2 years ago. Very very disappointed. I do NOT recommend this brand to anyone.

I purchased a Electrolux refrigerator in Oct. 2014. From the moment we plugged the unit in we had issues. Initially the ice maker would not work and the filters would crack and freeze. First service call, they ordered parts and we had to wait for them to come back and replaced the ice maker and filter intake. Then the filters continued to crack and freeze, the ice maker would stop and the temperature always felt warm in the refrigerator with it even set at 33 degrees and food continually went bad. We bought an internal thermometer and the top shelf read 55 degrees!! Second service call, they had to order parts and we had to wait for them to come back, food continued to rot. They came back and replace more parts. The refrigerator continues to not stay cool. Third service call, now we are waiting on more parts to be replaced. We cant keep food, cant keep food in the refrigerator that will spoil. We have requested that the unit be replaced and Electrolux continues to send out repair companies and they dont even care about the amount of money we have wasted in food OR our time that this has taken to even take care of all these issues. I am very dissatisfied with this product and would never recommend an Electrolux Refrigerator to any consumer looking for a counter depth unit. My last refrigerator was 15 plus years old and never had one issue!! The only reason we needed to replace the unit was because we needed a counter depth for a remodel. After doing some research and reading several reviews, it looks like I am not the only one that has a bad Electrolux Refrigerator, and they are expensive LEMONS!

Our experience is very much in line with previous reviews from other people. We purchased a refrigerator for a tenants apartment in February. It broke in June and the run-around started. 5 on-site calls from technicians and the problem couldnt be solved. We meanwhile purchased another unit from a different manufacturer and Electrolux insist to send another technician. Never seen anything like this ever before (we probably purchased 50 or 60 refrigerators over the past years). The time wasted by us, the tenant, customer service staff and money for the technicians could have bought 5 top of the line appliances... Never again and I will take Electrolux to court. No way that we spend another minute to entertain another service call. We want our money back.

This has been the worst product ever to purchase. I bought a Frigidaire Gallery Series refrigerator back in May of 2016 and had problems ever since. It was the refrigerator on top with two doors and a freezer at the bottom. Had I known that these appliances were only going to last 5 to 7 years tops, I would not have purchased such a flawed product. That is the life expectancy of these products and people dont usually know that. I have had 7 repair people come and take a look at it and they say it cant be fixed and not working at all. It wont get cold or make ice and it has been down for 6 weeks. So dont purchase this product.

We are very dissatisfied with our Electrolux Refrigerator as well as the customer service that Electrolux has provided to us. We first purchased Model # EI23BC55IS for the price of $3,199.95 on July 3, 2009 from Barrys Appliance in Bridgewater, NJ. Our salesman, Jason, talked us into buying this appliance by telling us that it was state of the art and would fit nicely into our newly remodeled kitchen since it was cabinet-depth. He told us how the icemaker in the door of French door type refrigerators worked well in this model. The appliance never worked as the book stated. It leaked water and delivered slushy melted ice. After several service calls, one of which was to replace the motherboard, Electrolux furnished us with a replacement refrigerator on 9/21/09. We had one service to this new appliance on another matter, but truthfully, it never produced ice the way the Use and Care Guide said it should. The guide states that it produces approximately nine pounds of ice every 24 hours, but we constantly ran out of ice with normal usage. We are a family of four so this never made sense to us. The bin never filled up within 24 hours with nobody using ice during that time. It also shoots ice away from glasses that are directly under and my family constantly complains about this as well.On July 7, 2012, we called Electrolux when the unit stopped producing ice altogether. We were, at first, told that since the appliance was no longer under warranty that Electrolux would not pay to service the appliance. We asked for a supervisor to review this decision since we were not satisfied and believe that this particular model is defective as the icemaker doesn’t work as the Use and Care Guide suggests it should. We were granted what we were told was a concession (Ref # **) and were informed that a service company would be contacting us.On July 12, we contacted Electrolux as nobody had contacted us to set up the service call. At this time, we spoke with Chiffon, who put the call on hold to set up a service call. A woman named Susan from Dan Mark Appliance set up a service for us. On July 14, Dan Mark technician Carlos came out. We were told by Carlos that a new icemaker was needed and that this would take 3 to 5 business days. After more than two weeks, Dan Mark finally sent another technician out on July 30. This Dan Mark technician told us that he was replacing the motherboard, not the icemaker, and that this should solve the problem. On August 1, we contacted Dan Mark to tell them that we had no ice. They promised to send another technician on August 6. On August 2, we received an automated call from Dan Mark that a technician would be out on August 3 between 8:00-11:00 AM, and although this was unexpected, one of us stayed home from work that morning in hopes that this matter would finally be taken care of and we would have ice for the rest of the summer. When the technician came out though, he told us that he needs to replace the icemaker motor and housing and upgrade the motherboard as well. We didn’t hear from anyone again until August 8 when Dan Mark called to set up a service call for August 11. On August 11, a Dan Mark technician came and replaced the icemaker motor but did not upgrade the motherboard as promised. He told us that there should be ice by evening. We placed yet another call to Dan Mark on 8/13 when the icemaker began dripping water and would only produce crushed ice. On August 15, with no confirmation call, one of us unexpectedly had to come home from work when a Dan Mark technician came to our home and telephoned that he was at our address. This technician told us that a new ice bin was needed and that he would order this and it would take a week.By August 15, with several lost hours at work so that we could be home for numerous service calls and no ice for much of the summer, we decided to contact Electrolux directly. We spoke with Tiana, giving her all the dates of service calls. She told us that she entered that information into the system. She could not offer us any other help at that time. We did not hear from Dan Mark again, and on August 27, we contacted Electrolux and spoke with Sade, who contacted Dan Mark and was told that they had ordered and received the ice bin and had tried to contact us several times and couldn’t, so they returned this part to Electrolux. We told Sade that we received no calls from Dan Mark during the time period of August 15-August 27 and requested that a different company service this appliance. Sade told us that new concession would be needed (**) and set up with Angela at Metro Factory to service this unit. Ironically, on August 28, Dan Mark contacted us to install the ice bin, but we told them that we had contacted Electrolux and were using another service company going forward. On August 29, Metro Factory technician Carl came out and was able to hook up the appliance to his computer (this was the first time a technician had done this) and told us the unit needed an upgraded motherboard. He noted that the limited ice in the bin was “melty” and stuck together. We told him that the unit was only producing crushed ice, and he mentioned that upgrading the board would take care of this problem. While he was there, he was asked if he serviced many of this particular Electrolux refrigerator model and he said, “Oh yes,” and always the icemaker. We were not surprised. On August 30, Metro Factory called to tell us that the technician could not come out until September 10, and we made an afternoon appointment for that date. When we didn’t receive a confirmation call the night before this service, as had been the practice of both Dan Mark and Metro Factory, we contacted Metro Factory on September 10 and were told that, indeed, they were not coming out since they had received no parts and that this was the manufacturer’s fault. We were even asked if we received any parts, which surprised us since we weren’t expecting parts to be delivered to us.On September 11, we contacted Electrolux once again and spoke with Charlene. Again, everything was explained from the beginning, and after being put on hold for 6 minutes, we were told that Metro Factory was not picking up and that she would call back once she contacted them. In the afternoon that day, Charlene called to tell us that Metro Factory did order parts and that we should expect to hear from them on September 14. She could not explain why the parts were taking so long or why Metro Factory asked us if we received them. We did not hear from Metro Factory on September 14. In fact, as of today, we have not heard from Metro Factory. We are writing this complaint in hopes that Electrolux will see that we are entitled to compensation and satisfaction that has been denied to us since purchasing the original refrigerator. We are requesting that our original purchase price of $3,199.95 be returned to us and that the appliance be picked up when we are able to replace it with another appliance of our choice. Be assured, it will not be an Electrolux appliance. We plan to never purchase an Electrolux product again. We have read other complaints and agree that there must be some engineering problem with these particular types of unit. Electrolux needs to recognize this defective model is hurting customer satisfaction for many families.

I have had this Electrolux EI23BC35K Counter Depth Refrigerator for about two weeks now, so I am ready to give it a review. Some things that I really like about it are: Looks great, doors and drawers all open and close smoothly. The LED lights come on and transition from off to full brightness in a couple of seconds. Rounded pyramid ice cubes from the door dispenser, and near half moon shaped cubes in the freezer, plenty of ice. So far, the ice makers are working perfectly. Temperature readings on the front display appear accurate. What I don't like about this refrigerator: The compressor and fans run constantly. I have only heard it shut off once, for about 15 minutes. Even after not being opened all night long, it is still running non-stop in the morning. It does have, as other reviewers have noted, a slight, high pitched whine coming from the compressor. It's not too loud, but noticeable. Since it never cycles off, it can be a bit annoying if you have good hearing and your kitchen is open to the living area. The water filling the ice makers makes a loud whoosh noise, much louder than my previous fridge. The refrigerator arrived in decent time, considering it had to be shipped from the east coast to the west coast. Upon arrival, the packaging appeared good, and once the cardboard was removed, it all looked good so I accepted delivery. After I completed the tedious task of removing the protective film from the stainless steel front, I found a small dent in the exact middle of the freezer door. It wasn't visible with the film on, and the film took a long time to remove as it was like peeling duct tape off. The blue film on the handles come off easily, but the somewhat clear film on the doors was a royal pain to remove, taking about 40 minutes to finish. I did not make the delivery people wait while I did this, so could not mark it as damaged in shipping, so I get to live with it. That being said, I am overall fairly happy with my purchase, but would really have to think twice about buying a major appliance this way again. I saved a couple hundred over buying locally, but lost out on having the slight damage repaired. The savings I made were used to buy a SquareTrade extended warranty and new water supply line. If I have any issues in the future, I will update my review.

By the way folks, if you have Electrolux Model EW28BS701S1 and you have ice making problems, it will never be fixed. We got used to ice cube trays and bagged ice. I recently called Brand Source for repairs on 3 of my appliances (other stories for another day) and the first thing they did was take $500 to install new mother boards. It made a small amount of ice when the tech left to never make ice again. I called Brand Source again and asked for a different tech. After 15 minutes, he took pictures inside the ice maker, called Electrolux and then told me I would get a new refrigerator. The fingers in the ice maker are defective and they have known it all along. By the time Electrolux contacted me for the fridge swap, I wanted my $500 back. Electrolux said their only concern was to get me a new fridge. I called Brand Source and they basically said it was not their problem because the ice maker was making ice when the tech left the first time. I called Appliance Factory since they were going to be the ones delivering the new fridge and she also said it was not their problem since the fridge would get sent back to Electrolux. I figured I owned the fridge since I owned the $500 mother boards in it and was told I could not keep it. Basically I paid $500 for another refrigerator that would make ice (it was a very expensive refrigerator). The replacement is quite sub par compared to the one I had. It has gray dimple sides and the drawers are cheaply made. My original fridge was all stainless steel and heavy. So far I have ice. What a scam.

Almost from the beginning this refrigerator has had problems. The ice maker continues to be non functioning as well as the interior lights. Customer Service is good at one thing saying Im sorry. I have put more money into this appliance than any other I have purchased over the past 30+ years. I purchased a new switch hoping that would resolve the lights not working, however it looks as though the board is defective. In order to fix the ice maker and the circuit board, we are looking at approximately 1500.00.At this point, I am better off to purchase another refrigerator, obviously not this brand. You spend more money on quality products and this has been one time where this wasnt the case. If you look at all the reviews, Electrolux obviously needs to go back to the drawing board because consumers arent happy and the issues seem to be the same i.e. ice maker. This refrigerator is only about 6 years old and when you spend 3500 you expect it be in good working condition for many years to come.

I bought a ** Refrigerator and Washing Machine 5 years ago when I built my house. Both are broken. The fridge leaked water all over the floor causing the base cabinets in the kitchen to suck up the moisture and ruin them. The Washing Machine needs a new circuit board. How does a circuit board fail after 5 years? Incredible. Stay away from Electrolux.

My fridge was defective, it became evident 1.5 years into using it, but when I called I was told it was cosmetic and I had to pay for it myself. Then 5 years into it right after the extended warranty ended there was rust discovered in the back due to a hole because it was a defective product, the tech they sent made it worse by just covering it up. Now a 7 year old fridge... the entire back is rusted and now $3200 is gone. Knowing they made a mistake I am offered a 20% discount on another fridge. Customer service is nonexistent. I purchased a refrigerator in October 2017 and by January 2018 it completely stopped staying cold. A servicer was scheduled to come out within 2 weeks so all of my food went bad. A $50 good gesture gift card was mailed out to a short time later. A few months later the exact same thing happened and I lost all of my food again. If that was not enough, in September 2018, my refrigerator stopped staying cold AGAIN and AGAIN I lost all of my food. This issue was eventually elevated to the corporate supervisors, in which I had the displeasure of speaking to Shanell out of Augusta, GA. She was extremely rude and lacked basic customer service skills. She stated that these refrigerators are MAN MADE and thats what happens sometimes. At this time, I have been advised itll be roughly a week before anyone can come out to diagnose the issue and apparently theres only one technician in my area and he only does service work on Wednesdays. I will never, ever, purchase another Electrolux product. Ive never had this many issues with an appliance company at all. Buyers beware!

My preference is NO STAR, but thats not an option. I paid $263.95 for an extended warranty only to have the tech come out and tell me the unit (refrigerator) was built defective and would need to be replaced. I waited a couple of days and received an email letting me know I need to contact the delivery company and pay an additional $169 to have the defective product removed and deliver a new unit. Electrolux sells you junk and wants more money to replace it. I called the delivery company and they are telling me, your unit is here, but its on hold. I asked the person on the other end of the line, so now what? The response was, Call Electrolux to find out why its on hold.So I call and the person tells me he wants to contact the original customer service person I spoke to and figure out whats going on. He asked if I paid the $169 and I told him no. He confirmed my number and said he would call me back. 3 hours later no call, so I decide to call Electrolux back to see whats going on. I wait on hold for 15 minutes because of the heavy volume of calls. The customer service rep answers and I explain to her whats going on and her response is, they must have gone home for the day is why I never heard back. This is NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE! She tells me she needs my consent to release the product and I will pay on good faith once the replacement unit is delivered. I call back to the delivery company and tell them what I just did and now they are telling me, No, we do not take payment and I need to call Electrolux! I told her this doesnt make any sense and the woman said she will send Electrolux non-customer service department an email to figure out whats going on. I asked if I could at least get my name on their delivery schedule and she said no, as long as the product is on hold she cannot do that and here I am, SUPER FRUSTRATED and have no idea whats going to happen next. I will NEVER BUY from Electrolux again and will NEVER RECOMMEND them to anyone. I hope this gets out to as many people as possible and makes some kind of sense.

Never buy an Electrolux side-by-side refrigerator with a water dispenser and ice maker. We bought one in 2011. After the first year, the water dispenser began to function erratically (the water wouldnt stop running). Over time, this problem cascaded into a myriad of problems that caused the entire unit to fail. We had paid for the extended warranty, so Electrolux replaced it. But now, the replacement unit has the same problems! Were reluctant to start the repair process, fearing this unit may also self-destruct. Our only option is to again pay $800 for the extended warranty but a good product should not require customers to endlessly invest in warranties. This product seems to have an inherent defect that the company has failed to fix. Save yourself this grief and buy some other brand of refrigerator besides an Electrolux.

I’ve spoke with “managers” and wrote letters. Still nothing but frustration. Every time I call they find a reason why they can’t help me. Came with a 10 year warranty they won’t honor!! We’ve sent our info to them multiple times per their request and still no help. They have told me to stop putting negative comments on their FB. I told them honor my warranty and I will stop. I purchased an Electrolux Wave Touch Standard Depth model EW28BS85KS5 a little over two years ago. After less than a year, the Temp Perfect Drawer seized up and could not be opened. I worked with Electrolux rep to get the repair and all was covered under warranty. Either while I was waiting for repair or shortly after the repair was completed, I was contacted by and ESA representative and offered, for a price of course, an extended warranty. The representative was fully aware of the issues I had with the drawer. Since my confidence level in product quality was now low and believing the extended warranty was as comprehensive as the one year warranty, I purchased the extension. It has been a little more than a year and the drawer has the exact same issue. I contacted ESA to advise them of the recurrence. They advised me that the warranty does not cover the drawer. Only functioning parts of the refrigerator that maintain the cool temperature, the ice maker and the water dispenser. I have tried working with them, but to no success. I do not appreciate a product attribute that is designed to last only a year. I hesitate to spend the money to have it repaired again because I fear next year I will have to have it repaired again. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

I do not recommend this product at all. We have had the rubber seals go bad. Pieces of some plastic just brake off and now the repairman tells us that the ice maker just ate itself. We have no power to it at all, good thing we were home. The service guy said he has seen where they have caught fire. Again glad we were home. Customer service is NO HELP AT ALL. If it was broke we did it and not covered. We have our old fridge downstairs. It is 10 years old and was 800.00 and would put the Electrolux to SHAME. So please stay away from this product. Electrolux agreed to replace it in August... The first date they scheduled this delivery on Sept. 8th, they never showed up or called. In a year and a half we have had every single part replaced in our fridge and actually have had the entire fridge replaced. The fridge freezes your food - period. They customer service have stated that the fridge is operating as it was designed. You must strategically place your food in the fridge. It cannot be near the back part of the fridge - that is by design. That was not in the brochure. That being said you loose about 3 of space in your fridge, otherwise your food freezes. And yes if you place a glass of water near the back - it freezes. I have plenty of pictures to show. Poor design, poor customer experience. If you want a freezer I guess buy from this company but dont buy a fridge. Thank goodness I have a real fridge in my garage.

We have a very big Electrolux fridge at our parents' house. We've had about 3 different refrigerators in the past 25 years and hands down it's the best we've ever had. The freezer is so cold that it takes less than an hour and a half for tap water to become ice. It's even colder than my ex's heart, LOL. The fridge itself is also very spacious. We never run out of space for food considering the fact that my mom has a tendency to hoard food in the ref for weeks. Everything stays nice and fresh when it's put inside our Electrolux fridge. Being that Electrolux is not really a popular refrigerator brand here (or anywhere I think), I would definitely recommend others to give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

I purchased a side by side fridge at the end of 2009. Something leaked out of it, and ruined my slate floor in the fall of 2010. The repairman could not figure it out. On the third visit from another repairman for the fridge, after the control panel went up a second time, the leak was determined to come from the plug at the bottom of the door. Electrolux sent me paperwork to file a claim with their liabilities department, which I did at the beginning of October. To date, I have not heard back from them, and they will not return any calls, or emails. After spending thousands of dollars on appliances, you would think the customer service would be good. I cannot even begin to understand the total lack of customer service. I have done everything the liabilities department asked, and I would like a reimbursement for the damages to have them repaired.

I want everyone to know that these folks do not stand by their product even when you have paid extended warranty since 2011. They are telling me I have to live with ice buildup in the top front of the freezer and across the top and left side of the door. WHY. They have set me up with 2 service companies (GURU from Bonifay, FL). Tried 2 weeks and they were a no show. The last one was JC Appliance Dothan, AL Called twice and text them twice and they confirmed the appt Electrolux was suppose to have made nor did they answer the call when they tried to call them themselves. So they set me up with AL POWER in between those two starting first part of December, came back end of December and 2 weeks later came back and I still I have. Company says, There is nothing we can do. It is due to heat and humidity. BUT I have had this freezer since 2011 and have had 8 years of all SEASON and it just started building up last year. AND if that is it why is only in those spots and not the entire freezer. I have contacted BBB and they have contacted the company but all Electrolux had to do was let them know they contacted me NOT helping to fix the issue. I have been dealing with this since Nov 11, 2018. I pay them to have good service companies that know what they are doing and show up. Why do I have to accept an unacceptable results. They cant prove its humidity and I cant prove it isnt EXCEPT LAST YEAR WAS NOT THE FIRST YEAR WE HAVE HAD HUMIDITY. We are in the south, we always have humidity. I pray the good Lord with help me find someone that can point me into the direction where I can get help. BBB suggested contacting Atty General which I did (hope I did it right) but with the recent shutdown doubt I will hear anything. I will NEVER buy another product from them. They just dont care. I wished I could convey to everyone just how little they do care.

Updated on 09/03/2020: It is now September 3, 2020 and I have finally been able to write to 2 people at Electrolux (Mira and Melissa) about my Frigidaire Refrigerator issues. Even though I have been told the people I wrote would get back to me (5 days ago), I have heard nothing from anyone at Electrolux/Frigidaire. The staff refuse to provide contact information to anyone above Supervisor and Ive been at this since receiving this defective fridge in May 2020. I am frustrated that Ive spent so much money and wasted so much time trying to resolve issues that should not exist in a new product.Original Review: I bought a Frigidaire Professional refrigerator from HOME DEPOT who broke the door upon delivering it. They replaced it with another unit which was defective. The defective unit was replaced with a unit with defective parts again. Electrolux and HOME DEPOT insisted that it be repaired, not replaced. They sent out a tech three times then advised me that they approved a replacement weeks prior. That was on July 29, 2020. The (3rd) replacement was authorized on July 8 (without notifying me). It is now August 20, 2020 and I find myself once again on hold for over an hour to be told Sherine at HOME DEPOT cant find the information and cant help me that I need to call another dept.I called the other dept. who said I had to deal with HOME DEPOT.... Yes, I spent hours and hours calling these companies only to be placed on hold for hours and I am still having to wait for them to figure this out. My review is about the really long wait times on hold (today only it was 2hrs and 17 minutes in total), the fact that too often they dont know how to use the phone and say that there are phone system issues today. Too often they are rude and unhelpful. Consumers need to think long and hard about who they buy from. Too often big companies are buying the competition and limiting consumers options, then remove quality of service. Its time the consumer speaks up or stop buying crappy product from companies who dont care to provide care.

So I did and I was on HOLD for 65 minutes, no mention of any sort of call back which many companies now do. She ended up giving me the number for the CORPORATE OFFICE to speak to a SHELBY so I called. Guess what? Its just a number for Electrolux, no Shelby. I have had an ongoing issue with the ice maker nearly since I purchased the product 4 years ago. I have paid for numerous Electrolux referred service companies to come out and try to resolve the issues. They have replaced the ice making unit. They have placed massive amounts of silicon around the unit. The lines keep freezing and now, the back of the refrigerator creates blocks of ice causing massive amounts of rust. From past posts, it appears I am not alone in this situation. Electrolux has completely blown me off telling me to call their service providers. The service providers quoted me $175 service call and additional for parts and labor. Electrolux is not taking responsibility for selling me a lemon of a refrigerator. Ice maker does not work. On second unit now. French door model with ice in door.. Some times will work for a day or two. Then it stops. It might make a cube or two in a few days then it stops again. Always made low volume of cubes in a day. Maybe two small cubes. Now I have to buy ice at store and put in dispenser. We have to keep a small cup in the door under the water tube because it leaks water on the floor. I bought a $200.00 refrigerator from Craigslist and keep in garage just to make ice. $200.00 fridge better than $3000.00 Electrolux!!!

We bought our French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator in October 2009 as a result of upgrading and remodeling our kitchen. The installation did not occur until April/May 2010 and we had problems with a leaky ice maker, intermittent making of ice, noisy clicking doors, and notification of expired air filters after 3 months of use. We called one week after the 1 year of purchase anniversary date and they told us our warranty had expired. We called customer service in 2012 and 2014 to express our dissatisfaction with all the problems that continued. They had a log of all our calls and still did nothing to make the refrigerator function correctly. After spending $3,600.00 for a high end refrigerator and have a lemon at that, Electrolux took no ownership for their problems. In January of 2015, the ice maker stop functioning all together. The service tech advised us this past week, there have been over 9 updates of the model we bought and there have been numerous faulty issues from Electrolux. It seems that this is a common problem and there are many consumers with the same complaint with this appliance. Why cant we all pursue a Class Action Suit? There are some of us that remained quiet and didnt scream loud enough and now we have the consequence of a lousy functioning refrigerator. By the way, the display on the temperature started to disappear in 2014. The technician states I need to spend $1,000.00 to purchase 2 kits to bring my refrigerator up to par (and since DAY 1 it has never worked correctly). Also, there is no guarantee after 90 days something else will break. This was the worst purchase of an appliance we ever made. Today the customer service corporate manager failed to help us make this situation go away and failed to assist the consumer to feel right about a costly purchase that never worked. There needs to be a better way to alert the public about Electrolux quality. There are too many of us as unsatisfied consumers with the same flawed design refrigerator complaining about Electrolux not taking action on their substandard appliances and for NOT doing the right thing.

Narrow refrigerator. Absolutely the WORST APPLIANCE EVER. The first fridge they delivered leaked. The second was damaged. The third didnt last 18 months. When I called for service, they stood up my tenant TWICE. The fridge is an absolutely piece of garbage. Do NOT waste your money. One of the worst service departments EVER. Unfortunately I do not have to paperwork as it is at another location, but I will never EVER buy another Electrolux product. A waste of money, time and energy. 5 year old E23BC68JPS (ICON 36 Refrigerator) freezer door jam - From the time we purchased this refrigerator, the freezer door assembly has been problematic. First the gasket around the freezer was defective, which was covered under warranty. Now after 5 years of very moderate use (just my wife and I), the freezer door track has jammed. There is no service in the Monterey Bay area, and it will take up to 2 weeks to get someone out here from another area to look at it. We loved the design of the fridge when purchased, but after only 5 years, this should not have happened. It is a clear reason for the money that we should have stepped up to the Miele as all of the Miele appliances we have are substantially higher quality. We will not be purchasing another Electrolux appliance in our lifetime...

Electrolux-Frigidaire 5 Cu Ft Freezer. I have gone round and round with them over my Freezer making a noise every 10 to 20 minutes. This sound is like a mechanical switch turning on at 63 Decibel. They shift the blame on my set up saying that if I had it on a carpet and something to absorb the sound, it would be less noticeable. They do not say the sound doesnt happen but as long as it is still freezing this is okay. I am very dissatisfied with this unit. Admitting it freezes. But the noise is very aggravating. Right now, it functions, but is very NOISY - grinds when trying to make ice. I learned too late from other reviews that the icemaker never worked on the wave/touch model and there seems to be nothing the manufacturer can or will do.

The ice maker has never worked. It does not maintain the right temperature to keep the ice from melting. Ice turns into solid block and is not usable. All the parts that could be replaced have been replaced as per comments from technician. There is a design flaws and the technicians have repeated that they have many issues with these refrigerators. Under the service contract, a replacement is called for after 3 similar calls. We have asked for a replacement and all Electrolux does is to send more technicians trying to wear us down. We purchased a Frigidaire side by side less than 2 years ago. Yes, I understand it is out of warranty, but when it caught on fire this weekend at 10 at night, I called a repairman to come look at it. Our model is FFHS2611LB4. We were informed that the water line was not sealed correctly at the factory. Also, the access hole is directly over the relay overload. I spent over $200 for the repair which is not much considering what could have happened if we were not home. Just got off the phone with customer service and of course they will not do anything. Was offering to give us 1/2 off on parts. That doesnt really help when it has already been fixed. I will not buy this brand again. Faulty merchandise and poor customer relations.

This appliance was a replacement for the first one I had purchased that failed and I was lucky enough to have paid for an extended warranty. I was told that the freezer problem mine was experiencing was addressed in the newer model and was no longer an issue. Now, 5 years later, the same thing has happened again: leaking seals into the freezer from the fridge compartment, causing the ice to turn to blocks in the motor which continues to grind, extreme leaking and rust on the outside back of the fridge, and, as told to me by my repair person, the entire refrigerator will eventually fail due to the motor issue. In speaking to Electrolux, they do not stand behind this. My appliance is 5 years old (I would expect for this very expensive appliance to last at least 3 times as long) and I did not buy the expensive additional warranty, so they will do nothing for me except offer a 20% discount on yet another refrigerator of the same make. Why would I ever want this product from them again? I do not advise anyone to fall for their fancy chrome exterior (which of course does not wrap around to the back to provide rust proofing). I was told that they no longer sell this exact appliance because due to this major defect. This acknowledges that they did sell faulty products but choose not to be responsible to their unfortunate customers. In my experience they market as a high-end brand but the performance does not stand up to their reputation, and they do not stand behind what they are selling.

Units are made in Mexico and are poorly tested, made and stood behind by Frigidaire who warranties this 23 sq ft stainless unit for 1 year. You can get an extended 3 year warranty called a Platinum star warranty as an option. Little faith it might last one year as we see it. Numerous complaints are on the web primarily centering around the a ice maker. We are on # 3 ice maker in 6 years since purchase. Customer service in Ga. was a TOTAL waste of time and we were advised no recalls or bulletins had been issued on any model. Wished you could have heard their lack of concern. We guess after waiting over 30 min. for an agent, most people would have bailed on the call and we called first thing in the morning. Keeps the complaints down if you cant wait an hour to get help. In addition to the ice maker, we now have a ce code alert on the front led panel and no lights in the unit. After shelling out 3 service calls for this fine work of refrigeration- this will be our last, The repair is scheduled in 12 hours and it will be sold.We called our place of purchase Goedekers in St. Louis and discussed our displeasure to the owner whose sales people pitched this as a great deal for $3500 in 2000. The sales people placed it in the category of Sub Zero, Wolf, and Viking. Goedekers were asked today to have the local or regional rep. contact us but they doubted we would hear from them so now we are warning all consumers. We are on city water and when the unit was installed-GOEDEKERS ran the water line. To replace it if that contributes to our issues- the current repair people now say I need an additional plumber charge to re-install it. More charges to remedy a piece of crap that had little testing on it before it was placed in the market place. Craigs list will be seeing this soon- we pity the buyer but will just say we are going with another brand and this runs fine now. It is true Electrolux sucks - in vacuums and now refrigerators. DO NOT BUY ANY MODEL OR YOU WILL SUFFER BADLY. Our model is: EW23CS65GS1. You have been warned.

To all my family, friends and shipmates: Please forward this on to as many people as possible in order to get the widest amount of coverage as possible! My wife and I purchased a new Electrolux Refrigerator (Model Number EW23BC70IS) on 25 May 2009 at a cost of $3699.00 for our new home. In less than a year were so many problems with the refrigerator; ice maker not working and freezer drawer cracked (which were covered under warranty), that Electrolux finally replaced it with another one (Model Number EW23BC71IS) on 29 April 2011.On 9 August 2013 there was a service call to replace electronic board and ice maker. On 5 September 2016 another service call to install Rear Insulation Kit. Finally, on 16 May 2018, a service call to install Air Handler. Then less than month later, on 13 June 2018, a service call to Beach Appliance Service, LLC., regarding frozen water line, no ice or water, and large mold patch on wall next to the back of refrigerator in addition to water dripping from back of refrigerator. The bottom line is that even though Electrolux was contacted both by Beach Appliance Service, who provided a total of 18 pictures (including mold), and myself (at least 5 phone calls) regarding this issue, Electrolux’s bottom line was that the refrigerator was out of warranty and that they would be happy to give me 10% off a new refrigerator. Please tell everyone you know what a lousy product Electrolux makes and that no one should buy anything from them or go through what we did. Since I didnt any resolution from Electrolux, I am now taking them to small claims court.

Our LG top of the line troublesome fridge of 5 years died leaking water on
Our LG top of the line troublesome fridge of 5 years died leaking water on our wood floor. LG does not stand for Lucky Goldstar or Lifes Good; in my dictionary it stands for Lousy Garbage! Enough about that. We were now in a lurch for a new fridge without having the time to thoroughly research our purchase. Instead of going to a chain store that sells appliances (have you ever attempted to contact a salesman at Sears? Its a joke!) we decided this time to go with an independent appliance store. Initially we may have paid a little more, but what we received in service was priceless! Since we were less than a week away from Thanksgiving the owner bent over backward to deliver within a couple of days and the installation was professional, clean and non-damaging to any of our belongings. We went with an Electrolux counter depth model with the freezer on the bottom. We were impressed with the features and based upon that my husband wanted the deluxe model which had a special drawer for ice cream so that it is not rock hard when you try to spoon it our of the container. After it arrived I looked at ratings for this model and they were horrific. I felt my heart sink to the bottom of my feet, especially after the amount of money we spent. I didnt tell my husband right away for obvious reasons and decided to let time pass to see what transpired.Three months have passed without a single issue. It is a pleasure to have in our kitchen. The produce doesnt freeze, we have loads of room inside because of the design and we have loads of ice, a problem with counter depth french door fridges and one common complaint about the Electrolux. The ice dispenser on the door is great-small cubes just the right size for a glass or crushed if desired. The cubes actually come out when the lever is depressed (non existent with the LG) and water doesnt drip after dispensing water. The ice maker in the freezer is ingenious! Now I dont have to listen to the ribbing from my daughters about the stingy ice maker. All in all, I think that we made a wise purchase, and well worth the money.

Purchased a Electrolux Refrigerator Model #EW288S715A. Ice maker stopped working about 6 months after install. Electrolux tried and send us a new refrigerator. Within a few months the ice maker went again. Electrolux said they would sell us another new one for 40% off the retail price. Its a good thing we didnt do that deal - I have since learned that the refrigerator that they would have sold us would have had the same problem. So no ice-maker in a $4000 CDN appliance and after a few years an error message appeared on the panel.Found out that the problem with the ice maker has now caused more serious problems with the guts of the refrigerator from water damage caused by poor insulation that will cost us almost $900 CDN and will probably fail again in the near future. Electrolux know this is a problem but are not reaching out to their customers to tell them what to do - basically the company has stuck their heads in the sand hoping that purchasers of this product dont get together and go after them. I am working on starting a class action suit. Electrolux is one of the largest appliance manufacturers in the world and are abusing their clients with incredibly bad designed products. In April of 2015 we purchased a new home from a builder. The builder had Electrolux appliances installed so we went with what they had not knowing what a nightmare that would be! The first visit from a repair company happened within 60 days of being in our home. They ended up removing the refrigerator and giving us a new one because the fridge had a bent frame! The second refrigerator is still in our home and I have had to call and have 2 more service calls. Now, we are dealing with an ice maker that isnt working properly so we have ice building up on the back wall of our refrigerator which pushes the drawers out of their slides. We are now waiting for parts that are on backorder so our repair can be done. No worries, I can keep chipping ice off of the back of my brand new fridge! When you call Electrolux for a repair you end up speaking to people who never give you the same information about how or when the service appointment will happen. Their customer service is a mess and the real joke is that they ask you when you are finished setting up another appointment if you would like to take a survey to tell them how they are doing! Ha! Electrolux products, service and service providers stink and as a company they should be ashamed of themselves for making such crap products and charging so much for them! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for appliances. I mean really, how many days do you want to sit home from 8am-1pm or 1pm to 5pm waiting for repair work to be done? Lifes too short for that!

We purchased numerous fridges of this type from Electrolux back in 2014. We are a builder, so we kept all the fridges completely sealed and in secured storage. We have had issues with every single fridge from Electrolux so far to date. The most recent was the brand new fridge we moved into a brand new home. We plugged the fridge in, and immediately there was an obvious smell of smoke. Concerned, we unplugged the fridge. Our electrician had a look at the plug and it was working fine. We called Electrolux, and they told us the issue is probably the plug. We would need to get a report from a certified electrician to prove that there are no issues with any of the plugs or circuits in the home.We had a third party certified electrician come out, take a look and provide a report. We called Electrolux back, and they said an electrician report wouldnt count. They also somehow did not have the last call on file. They said we would instead need to get a certified Frigidaire technician to come out and look at the fridge. They gave us two possible companies in our area we could use.We hired one of the two provided companies to come and take a look at the fridge. They did, and said that it was clear the main computer blew up as soon as the fridge was plugged in. It also appeared one of the secondary computers was fried. They made a report, and attempted to send it to Electrolux internally. Electrolux refused to accept it.We called Electrolux yet again, saying we have a report from a certified Frigidaire technician, and could we please have an email to forward the report to. Electrolux said that never happens and only certified technicians can send reports. I told Electrolux that they themselves had already refused to receive the report internally. The call person refused to provide any email and told me to call the certified technician and tell them to send again. We updated the certified technician, who said they would try again. They were again refused, and had to try and send the report through Electroluxs Contact Us form on their website. We then had to wait nearly 2 weeks before Electrolux called back, just to say nothing is covered and it isnt their problem. To replace the computers is very expensive, and with the other issues we have had with the other fridges, we had to just buy an entirely new fridge (not from Electrolux). Normally I give the benefit of the doubt over and over, but this is by far the worst service and quality I have seen - especially considering the level of luxury Electrolux is supposed to have. We will not be using Electrolux again and we will be recommending against it to any clients in the future. Thank you.

Its a great looking fridge, however, we had many issues with it. The water in the filter freezes, causing all of the functions in the door not to work. Freezing everything placed in the veggie drawers. The ice maker works intermittently, and now only the crushed worked. Ice maker died after about one year. I really like it, but not worth the high price.

Three years ago I purchased a French door refrigerator from Sears but was manufactured by Electrolux. Immediately we noticed the ice maker did not supply enough ice. Sears came out and replaced icemaker three times. Still does not supply enough ice but you get tired of appointments and meeting repairmen to make the same repairs over and over again. The last repairman said this was a common problem with the refrigerator I have. Last weekend I pulled open the freezer drawer and it fell apart. After spending an hour to make it functional I decided it was time to replace it. So this week I purchased another new refrigerator. One NOT manufactured by Electrolux.

I will NEVER buy another Electrolux product. Its too bad I wasnt wise enough to check reviews before buying. Almost from the start I had issues with the ice dispenser. After many phone calls & service calls, at least 5, after changing celluloid, main board, ice bucket assembly, they sent 3 incorrect ones before I got the correct one. Mind you they had the part #, after taking at least 4 days off from work to be home for repair tech, I am now close to spending $700.00 in parts. (Oh, they give a 20 percent discount on parts that I have no way of breaking, a celluloid, that takes about 20 minutes to get to?) Main board? Really? I now have the pleasure of a sporadic high temp 58 degree refrigerator & again no help from Electrolux. They use cheap parts & dont stand behind their product. NEVER AGAIN.

I purchased a $2700.00 Electrolux French Door refrigerator. The computer board broke weeks after the warranty expired. It cost almost $550.00 to repair. Next the icemaker and water dispenser stopped working about a year ago. Electrolux knew of the problem and made a kit to address the poor quality and design. After almost 6 months without ice, they finally provided the kit and paid for the repairs. Two weeks later the same problem. Electrolux poor design causes the water reservoir to freeze. The customer service representative offered to sell me another repair kit at a 20% discount. She stated that my warranty expired so they no longer have an obligation to stand by their product. I will never purchase another Frigidaire or Electrolux product again. Buyer beware. Customer service is a joke.

What is worse the refrigerator or the 800 number customer service? New refrigerator came, got set up and the control panel didnt work. Two weeks later the tech came with the second one that also didnt work. One month on a new refrigerator and no ice. Since then, an ice maker service call repair every six months. Company takes no ownership of their products performance and customer service and their supervisor spend their time trying to sell a $300 per year service contract. I have 5 Viking and 2 Samsung appliances in the kitchen purchased at the same time. One problem with exhaust fan, repaired promptly. Electrolux is an awful company, making awful products, and treating their customers badly.

Can only wonder if the GE acquisition is a factor in the terrible cust service from this once prestigious company! Previous service calls were handled professionally and never had an issue until Sept 15 when I called cust service and ordered replacement part which covers the motor, etc on back of refrig. Unit arrived approx 10 days later damaged beyond use due to improper packaging of unit (modified box broke open, packing material missing, and unit was crushed). Called cust service back and a replacement unit was shipped out and arrived 4 days later but it was the wrong part. There are only two parts on the backside of a refrig -- the metal plate covering 90% of the unit and the cardboard panel covering the motor, etc! Called cust service again and was advised even though Electrolux rep ordered the wrong part, they would only waive restock fee and I was financially responsible for return shipment for a 35 x 13 x 5 box. Lastly, submitted online complaint to cust service expressing my disagreement with the shipping issue. Next day received email reply stating Saw you called in and matter was resolved by waiving of restock fee.I seriously question if there is some type of learning/listening disability issue (such as Attention Deficit Disorder) with the Electrolux service staff. Or perhaps they just dont care -- put in their hours and collect a paycheck and go home. Three out of four reps failed to listen/absorb what was being said and merely mouthed platitudes and repeated errors. While I was very polite to all of the cust service reps, I am thoroughly disgusted with the corporation and would not recommend Electrolux products.

I purchased a Electrolux refrigerator on 2/10/2013. After I purchased the refrigerator the ice maker didnt work. The repair man came out to my house and said the water line was frozen and that this was a known issue. He place a part in the refrigerator that would stop the line from freezing. Now, for the last month my ice maker hasnt worked. I had a repair man from ASI appliance repair company come out. He said that the ice tray had a crack in it and that a piece broke off that this was the cause of the ice maker not working. I gave it 24hrs. to produce ice, nothing happen. The repair came back out and said that I need a back panel deterioration Kit and that it will extend my refrigerator out two inches. Also, that the manufacturing is aware of this problem. So, in short Im very dissatisfied with this product. I paid a lot of money for what I thought I was getting a high end refrigerator. This unit is only 3 yrs old. I want to know what are you going to do. At this present time I will never purchase another Electrolux product and will inform social media and friends to do the same.
