Purchased Electrolux fridge model EI123BC361IS in 2010. Yesterday noticed not cooling. After troubleshooting it was determined light switch not functioning which resulted with bulbs (4) staying actively lit after doors closed. The bulbs super heated fridge causing internal temp to read 99 degrees. The heat from the bulbs melted a hole in internal plastic wall exposing styrofoam insulation. Partially melted another hole over another light. Lower bulbs turned sockets dark brown and also began to melt plastic there as well. Contacted customer service said machine not under warranty. No kidding, I told them not really interested in warranty, I wanted to let them know it poses a fire threat. Their response was to advise me to call a technician and examine it. I suggested to them they should send out a representative at their own expense and forwarded photos to them. Did not get the impression they really care and were not very helpful.

I purchased a top of the line French Door refrigerator 7 years ago and have had a number of issues. Bad seals, broken parts, ice maker freezing up and now I am told the fridge will fail soon due to the internal thermal parts. Apparently I have a model that had a KNOWN PROBLEM on these models and similar Frigidaire models from 2011 to 2017!!!! Yes ELECTROLUX KNEW, BUT DID THEY DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT, seems to be a NO. They supposedly did some sort of recall but NOTHING I EVER RECEIVED. It is NOT COVERED ON YOUR HOME INSURANCE WARRANTY, in fact they tell you to CALL ELECTROLUX. So I did and I was on HOLD for 65 minutes, no mention of any sort of call back which many companies now do. I Guess ELECTROLUX WANTS TO MAXIMISE PROFITS!!!!The lady I spoke to KNEW about this issue (Just as the TECHNICIAN that came out KNEW about this issue). She ended up giving me the number for the CORPORATE OFFICE to speak to a SHELBY so I called. Guess what? Its just a number for Electrolux, no Shelby. This is a $2400 refrigerator, it is a piece of junk and Electrolux seems to be worthless. I have one of their freezers too and guess what? It has had PROBLEMS, so ELECTROLUX YOU APPEAR TO SELL CHEAP PRODUCTS AND DONT STAND BY YOUR PRODUCTS.

I purchased a $2700.00 Electrolux French Door refrigerator. The computer board broke weeks after the warranty expired. It cost almost $550.00 to repair. Next the icemaker and water dispenser stopped working about a year ago. Electrolux knew of the problem and made a kit to address the poor quality and design. After almost 6 months without ice, they finally provided the kit and paid for the repairs. Two weeks later the same problem. Electrolux poor design causes the water reservoir to freeze. The customer service representative offered to sell me another repair kit at a 20% discount. She stated that my warranty expired so they no longer have an obligation to stand by their product. I will never purchase another Frigidaire or Electrolux product again. Buyer beware. Customer service is a joke.

We would like to express our disappointment with the Electrolux refrigerator model: EW28BS71IS. We purchased this refrigerator in March of 2010 to replace a 7-year old Kenmore side by side refrigerator. We chose this model by brand name knowing that Electrolux is the leader in the industry in quality and service on appliances. Its unfortunate for us to tell you how far youve missed the mark with the model we purchased. Weve had the model serviced three times since weve bought it. The ice maker board has been replaced twice. My wife and I both missed four days of work due to the service calls so the repair person could come to service the fridge, one day for them to figure out what was wrong and another day for them to install it. Our last experience was the most painful. The main board went out and we had to live out of coolers and a dorm size refrigerator for over two weeks. It took three visits by the service repair man before the refrigerator was working again. They ordered the main board from their parts list which took four days. They came to install it and the board in the fridge is different than the one in the repair manual they had. This required them to order another board which took another four days. If we didnt have large Kenmore upright freezers, we wouldve lost all our frozen food.Whats amazing to this story is we arent the only ones dealing with these issues. We happen to be out at a party with some friends telling them our refrigerator saga and that my wife has put her foot down that if there is one more issue, the fridge is gone. They asked the model and when we bought it because they were having similar issues. Sure enough, they bought the same model around the same time. Ive included their story below. I cant believe we are the only two people having these problems and we want to know what you can do to resolve our ongoing issues.

Since we have had this refrigerator we have had nothing but problems. The ice cube maker wasnt working and had to have it looked at. It worked for a short time, and we dont get ice out of this overpriced refrigerator. Now as of today it is just not working, freezer and refrigerator. I wish I could just sue these people for the good money that we spent on this no good product.

I bought Refrigerator and Freezer twins at Max Center on 13-02-11, both with one-year warranties. Upon installation by Electrolux technicians the next day, the freezer had a thumping sound and ice formations inside the door. We called the technicians who came several times, made some installations on the door, but never resolved the problems. Lately, Electrolux does not answer our calls, and we are unable to have this problem corrected, or receive a new freezer. The freezer has an air leak which has not been corrected and Electrolux has offered no new solution or help.

About 3 years ago we remodeled our kitchen and purchased the top model refrigerator that Electrolux had to offer. Within a year, they replaced the entire refrigerator for free because the ice maker could not be repaired. After owning the second refrigerator for a year, we began to experience problems with the ice maker again. We had to pay $250 to have the ice maker replaced. Now, another year in, we are having issues again. The ice maker has stopped producing ice again and I have had to call a serviceman to come and repair it. This is really frustrating and disappointing. I would never purchase nor recommend an Electrolux refrigerator again. Call Electroluxs customer service was fruitless.

My Electrolux refrigerator broke down in less than 5 years and needed a control unit. Electrolux claims that they do not have any control units for me. Their solution was to buy a new one. Buyer beware. If you buy an Electrolux product, you may have to replace it if it is need of a part as Electrolux will wash their hands and claim you need to buy a new one.

I purchased the Electrolux 32 Built in Freezer and Fridge in June 2016... after remodeling my kitchen and buying all new appliances. I decided to spend a little more for the built in freezer/fridge... what a big mistake... HUGE!! After 3 weeks, my Built in Freezer quit working. I contacted Electrolux and they sent a technician out 5 days later. The technician told us he would contact Electrolux. After waiting over almost two weeks the repairman came back out with what he thought was a fix. Unfortunately, for us, it caused the freezer to climb temperatures that were worse than before. We called Electrolux again, and they sent the same company back out to do the repair. Once again... that did not work. Once again, I contacted Electrolux. They sent out the repairman again, it was fixed by the technician who said, Im pretty sure this fixed it. Sadly, it failed again. So once again, I called. It was fixed again and worked for almost 2 months... only to find that again, I had soft ice cream and meats. Once again, I call and I am not happy. After all this and being told over and over (as I now find this seems typical for their customer service) is the repairman must deem the repair unrepairable in order for them to replace the appliance. Once I finally had another technician to my home, he indeed said that the repair was deemed unrepairable, and told Electrolux the same.Once I called Electrolux back and told them this, they said even though he deemed it unrepairable, our IT guy did not, so we are requiring him to repair it. So once again, I have gotten the run around from Electrolux. They came and repaired it now 5 times. (I called them today so it will be 6.) I have lost frozen goods, twice and now... I will end up losing frozen foods again... because its currently not working. My freezer is now only 3 months old. This is unbelievable to me. I based my decision on what my appliance company said about their refrigerator/freezer and sadly, I am hugely disappointed. I have never, ever had an experience this awful. As a matter of fact, I have never, ever written a complaint. Unfortunately, I had to write my experience to make sure the next buyer was savvy enough to find these reviews helpful with their next decision. I will never ever buy a product that has the name Electrolux on it after this experience.

I purchased an Electrolux Refrigerator Model EW288571150 in August 2010. Since my purchase, I have had 16 service calls. Out of the 16 service calls, I believe 5 parts have been replaced. I do understand Sears policy and procedures but this can become very frustrating. I did speak to someone at Electrolux on 08-08-2012 and she did explain that my problem was with the bottom rack of my ice maker. At this point, Im now waiting on that part to be replaced and I do hope that this is the answer. The appliance is beautiful, but do constantly have to experience my refrigerator going out and losing food because of the refrigerator defrosting.

Originally the ice maker was a major problem. Now after having received the third unit the water dispensing mechanism is not working. You would think that after paying good money for a French door refrigerator, that it would last for at least 5-10 years problem-free. I will not buy from this company again.

We purchased a side by side Electrolux fridge around 6 years ago. In less than a year the front display conked out which we reported to the dealership where we bought the unit, however Electrolux does not have the parts on hand. After repeated demands and expiration of the warranty no parts were delivered. Just last year almost 5 years after purchase, after a dismal customer service experience, the referred sub-contractor advised us that the motherboard gave in and lo and behold they even advised us to replace the front display, of course for a considerable fee. After repair and less than a year our fridge gave out again, less than a year mind you. Now the customer service personnel are as bad as usual, sending us unexperienced repairmen. After waiting for a month for the results of the test we were informed that the unit is beyond repair since there was a leak in the cooling lining. Is this how poor Electrolux products are? That your products can stand the test of time... Never will I buy nor recommend, and I would in fact discourage other consumers in buying your very, very, very poor products.

We have been dealing with repair companies that cant even get the parts for at least 3-4 weeks. The repair companies they use also do not want to do the repairs because they say that they have to go through hell to get paid. I have sent email and tried calling but Electrolux could care less. We purchased an Electrolux french door fridge this summer. Our apartment was under construction so we were unable to connect it until this month. When we tried it did not work. We called Electrolux who informed us they would send a technician out right away. Because we do not have the receipt. They said they would honor a 9/15/2014 purchase date. The first technician never came so we called Electrolux again. They sent a second technician who also no-showed.When I spoke to the Electrolux representative for the fourth time I asked to speak to a supervisor. I asked the supervisor what my options are because Electrolux only contracts with 4 repair people in the entire New York City area and all 4 had 1-2 stars on all consumer review websites and 2 of them had already no-showed. I was hoping that we could hire a contractor we know is high-quality, can fix the brand, and is available and have that reimbursed, like going out of network for health insurance. The supervisor put me on hold for a long time--the entire call lasted 61 minutes. When she returned she told me they would no longer honor our purchase date and that because the fridge was manufactured in 4/2013 they would consider it purchased in 10/2013 and we were therefore out of warranty and there was nothing she could do to help us.We have been unable to locate the itemized receipt. Electrolux has offered to sell us a $600 3-year warranty. However, upon reading reviews of our purchase, everyone who has had this issue says it is chronic and never resolved. Dont make this mistake. The EI288S65KS6 does not work and Electrolux is a company that will not work with you.

I have had so many service calls (10+) due to the inferior quality of my Electrolux French Door Bottom Freezer ice-maker, I cant even count them. Thank goodness, I purchased the extended warranty, BUT the inconvenience of having to call for repair, doing without, and waiting for repair to come fix is extremely frustrating. I will be happy when this piece of junk is out of warranty as I will gladly to forced to purchase a new one........ NEVER an ELECTROLUX product!UPDATED ON 04/17/2015: I am on my 2nd Electrolux refrigerator. This 2nd one is only because it was a replacement for the 1st one due to its poor performance with the ice maker. Now, there is trouble with the ice maker on this one. I am awaiting for the part that is supposedly a fix. The part was ordered on 3/30 and is supposed to arrive at my home. Then, I am to call for the repairman to come install it. Going on 18 days and then call and wait for the repairman to schedule... REALLY? With all the trouble I have had along with many, many other people who have had this refrigerator, I would NEVER choose another Electrolux refrigerator. They should have stuck with making vacuum cleaners!!

Our experience is very much in line with previous reviews from other people. We purchased a refrigerator for a tenants apartment in February. It broke in June and the run-around started. 5 on-site calls from technicians and the problem couldnt be solved. We meanwhile purchased another unit from a different manufacturer and Electrolux insist to send another technician. Never seen anything like this ever before (we probably purchased 50 or 60 refrigerators over the past years). The time wasted by us, the tenant, customer service staff and money for the technicians could have bought 5 top of the line appliances... Never again and I will take Electrolux to court. No way that we spend another minute to entertain another service call. We want our money back.

5 year old E23BC68JPS (ICON 36 Refrigerator) freezer door jam - From the time we purchased this refrigerator, the freezer door assembly has been problematic. First the gasket around the freezer was defective, which was covered under warranty. Now after 5 years of very moderate use (just my wife and I), the freezer door track has jammed. There is no service in the Monterey Bay area, and it will take up to 2 weeks to get someone out here from another area to look at it. We loved the design of the fridge when purchased, but after only 5 years, this should not have happened. It is a clear reason for the money that we should have stepped up to the Miele as all of the Miele appliances we have are substantially higher quality. We will not be purchasing another Electrolux appliance in our lifetime...

I bought a Electrolux refrigerator in 2011. The refrigerator is a $4,000.00 piece of junk. Not only is it a product with multiple issues, one being a fire hazard, 2 the ice maker never worked properly. And the customer service is even worse than the product. I called to have the ice maker repaired but when the repairman came, he said, there was nothing he could do because he didnt see a problem. The fire hazard - is that the lighting unit burnt a hole right through the liner. Which I called on and they told me I was out of warranty and that they never heard of that particular problem BUT lucky for me, they sold a repair kit for the particular problem! LOL, really?I decided to contact the BBB because I refused to give Electrolux a dollar of my money. I had communication with Electrolux learning that the refrigerator liner was still under warranty. Or misleading me to believe it was under warranty. Their words were the cabinet liner, compressor, and something else had a 2-5 year limited warranty. With that letter in hand I contacted Electrolux and they agree to send a repair person out to repair the liner but if it was considered to be cosmetic that I would be responsible for the charges. I thought to myself, how in the world could they find this cosmetic? It is a fire hazard and clearly a factory defect. The repair main showed up to my house a couple days later and told me that it was not fixable. Armed with the same letter from Electrolux I gave him a copy of it. He said OK this clearly states you are covered for under warranty and I putting in a request for a new one. But dont hold my breath because its his experience that Electrolux doesnt honor their contracts. They always stick the customer with the bill. And as far as the burn hole, he has seen it many times and is very common for it to happen with their product. They of course did not honor their contract. They refused to cover anything. And deny that its covered because they deemed it cosmetic! Horrible company. Hopefully no one has to die before recalling this fire hazard.

I bought Electrolux Fridge for a small condo. The Fridge is tall and slick, perfect from my condo that is used only 3 months a year. Problem: makes a snoring sound, water in the back of the back of the fridge, drips all the time. Sometimes it freezes. I called Electrolux from the store, they told me I have to talk to the manufacturer. They send someone but the problem remains the same. I called them again. They told me since a year has passed I have to pay one of their authorized technician to look at it, so I called a technician and paid him. He came while I was away. I assumed problem is fixed. When back in Toronto the problem is worse. Fridge has more water on the back. I called the manufacturer they said they never received a report from their technician and since a year has passed it is not their problem. Basically Electrolux does not and does not stand behind their product. They will have a reason not deal with you. I tell everyone please, please do not buy Electrolux Fridge. It is a problem. Im on my 3rd replacement Electrolux refrigerator. This replacement is an Electrolux French Door refrigerator. It has been seen by two different Electrolux appointed certified repair shops. The problem is the interior casing is melting near the top 2 bulbs. Both repairmen from different repair shops said that they have been seeing this problem, and that some have heated to the point of serious damages. I was told by both Electrolux repairmen, that the problem was irreparable, and reported it as so to Electrolux. Electrolux disagreed with both repair shops. Electrolux continues to try to send a repair shop, to agree to do the repair their way. Electrolux continues to evade the big problem of fire, and continues to be inconsistent with its responses to me. Last week, they said it is absolutely irreparable, and this week, left a message on my machine, that denied the replacement, in lieu of some Epoxy to do a cosmetic repair. What about the high heat from the bulbs? What about the repair shops that deny this resolution? Is this a fire hazard or not? I still have warranty.

I questioned how to do this on a refrigerator we are using. He hang up on me. Worst customer service I have ever had. We dont plan on buying Electrolux again.

Have an Electrolux bottom mount fridge which is 2 years old. Top handle fell off after 6 months and they replaced both doors. Just held on with cheap plastic. It has just fallen off again and my husband has glued it on. This is not good enough. Never had this problem with any other fridges. One is 35 years old. Do not buy. We paid way more that we could bought comparable fridges for. Service agents fixed the first time. We just couldnt be bothered with rigmarole. Have 3 years extended warranty. Just dont buy.

Filed a complaint on 3rd November 2014....the service team arrived a week later and took a part away. So I am not able to use my fridge till today. Today is 11th Jan 2015..and yet no response from them. Everyday we call they say, the company has no spare parts yet. A company that requires more than 2 months to repair does not deserve to sell its products at all in the market.

My husband and I purchased our Electrolux fridge last November 2014. We chose it because it has a fairly reasonable price compared to other competitors like Samsung and LG. It was our first time trying out this brand and we were not disappointed. Our fridge is almost 2 years old now and it did not give us any headache. It's very spacious and cools greatly. There were also ice trays included in the fridge so that's a plus. It's also very easy to clean and it has a very sleek design! Would recommend to others for sure!

My husband and I are very disappointed with our Electrolux French Door Refrigerator! We purchased one in 2009 and paid $4,300. I thought with that price, it should last at least 10 years. Well, after a year and a half, the ice maker broke. Good thing we purchased the extended service warranty for 5 years. Repair man came and replaced the ice maker. Couple months later, it broke again. Called again. Broke again, and again. So finally in 2012, Electrolux gave us a new refrigerator (same model) for a replacement. It worked until late 2015 when the ice maker started acting up again. Water started leaking behind the ice maker, on the back wall of the fridge. And after a while, the water freezes up. I knew my warranty is over so I thought Id live with it. I always had a towel where it leaks so it wont get all over the fridge. Its terrible and embarrassing. Everyone would ask me why I have a frozen towel in the fridge and I would always reply DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX. About 2 weeks ago, a piece of hard plastic and styrofoam came out of the ice maker while I was dispensing ice. Like, what the heck is it and where did it come from?? Then last Friday, the fridge totally died! I called every technician in town but unfortunately, nobody couldnt make it until today, Monday (weve had no fridge for 4 days!) Diagnosis: the control board is burnt out and it melted! Cost of repair: $522! This expensive fridge is a piece of junk! I am pissed and Im trying to get Electrolux pay for at least the parts. Lets see what happens next. But I will never buy Electrolux again.

Electrolux FFHT2117LWO over-under refrigerator: This was a replacement for our old one under a utility company energy program. It has run OK, but you cant turn the defrost off, and it seems to run a lot. The handles are our biggest problem. We had to remove the bottom door handle because we hit our heads on it a lot-- opening from the left. It seems to be in just exactly the wrong place. Then, when youre rummaging in the main frig cabinet and straighten back up, POW you hit your head on the freezer handle, very painful and the handles have sharp edges, too. I have thought about removing their awful handles and making my own which curve up, from the bottom of the freezer door. They are not reversible. Emails to Electrolux customer service have gone without response.

My experience with Electrolux appliances is junk, junk, junk!!! I purchase three brand new appliances and they all had to be serviced right out of the packaging!! The french door bottom freezer refrigerator is junk. The ice maker in the bottom drawer was replaced within a month and a half after purchased. The upper ice maker has been replaced once, serviced two more times since then and now needs to be serviced again!! It goes through some type of defrost mode which causes the cubes to melt in both the upper and lower bins, which then drips out of the dispenser in the door and once again it does not make ice. It frosts up behind the ice bin itself which in turn needs to be serviced again to replace some seal. I have always purchased GE appliances and gave Electrolux a try being they are suppose to be a higher end appliance. Never, never again would I purchase Electrolux!!

I purchased a brand new built-in style Electrolux refrigerator and it arrived dead. A repair company sent by Electrolux identified the problem being there was no refrigerant, he then told me that my compressor will fail most likely within a year because it was run for a short time without the refrigerant and contaminated. Electrolux is fine to deliver dead products to their customers and will only offer to do repairs - not replace the fridge for a new one. Unfortunately, my compressor may fail outside of the warranty period and despite this being part of the refrigerant problem I will be forced to pay. I will never buy Electrolux products ever again.

We bought our French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator in October 2009 as a result of upgrading and remodeling our kitchen. The installation did not occur until April/May 2010 and we had problems with a leaky ice maker, intermittent making of ice, noisy clicking doors, and notification of expired air filters after 3 months of use. We called one week after the 1 year of purchase anniversary date and they told us our warranty had expired. We called customer service in 2012 and 2014 to express our dissatisfaction with all the problems that continued. They had a log of all our calls and still did nothing to make the refrigerator function correctly. After spending $3,600.00 for a high end refrigerator and have a lemon at that, Electrolux took no ownership for their problems. In January of 2015, the ice maker stop functioning all together. The service tech advised us this past week, there have been over 9 updates of the model we bought and there have been numerous faulty issues from Electrolux. It seems that this is a common problem and there are many consumers with the same complaint with this appliance. Why cant we all pursue a Class Action Suit? There are some of us that remained quiet and didnt scream loud enough and now we have the consequence of a lousy functioning refrigerator. By the way, the display on the temperature started to disappear in 2014. The technician states I need to spend $1,000.00 to purchase 2 kits to bring my refrigerator up to par (and since DAY 1 it has never worked correctly). Also, there is no guarantee after 90 days something else will break. This was the worst purchase of an appliance we ever made. Today the customer service corporate manager failed to help us make this situation go away and failed to assist the consumer to feel right about a costly purchase that never worked. There needs to be a better way to alert the public about Electrolux quality. There are too many of us as unsatisfied consumers with the same flawed design refrigerator complaining about Electrolux not taking action on their substandard appliances and for NOT doing the right thing.

Electrolux Refrigerator Model EI26SS55GB0 - I purchased this refrigerator in September 2009. The refrigerator showed problems after I purchased the unit. The main first problem observed was the freezer and refrigerator temperatures were wondering. The digital display also had elements that burned out. The unit was out of the manufacturers warranty when this occurred. I had Sears come over to diagnose the unit and they said it was the interface board. This was in 2012 so based on other posts about their refrigerators I guess comparatively speaking I was doing pretty good. Anyway one month after the new interface board was installed the system started to wander in temperature again and would not stabilize. The Sears technician again came over and replaced the same board at additional expense. The display elements are still not working properly. The segments look like they are getting ready to burn out. We turn off the display to save this part. Now about a month ago the ice dispenser quit working. The issue appears to be the main board which is very expensive to replace. I called Electrolux and they offered me 10% off of the part; Really!!! The board is over $300. I have a friend who owns an appliance store. He told me that he has dropped the Electrolux line. I asked him why. He said when he sold their products he had a ton of circuit board problems. In fact he has a customer that has a similar problem that I had; the temperature wondering. He told me that his customer had a technician out 3-times to change out the board(s). Finally the third time appears to have fixed it however the previous times it went down - the food rotted in the unit and now has a smell that she cant get rid of. My friend is going to swap out the unit with another brand b/c he feels so bad.Anyway bottom line - refrigerators should last much longer than this. I was told Electrolux was a top notch product; NOT!!! Please stay far, far away from this brand. Youll do yourself a favor and avoid MUCH grief!!!

My preference is NO STAR, but thats not an option. I paid $263.95 for an extended warranty only to have the tech come out and tell me the unit (refrigerator) was built defective and would need to be replaced. I waited a couple of days and received an email letting me know I need to contact the delivery company and pay an additional $169 to have the defective product removed and deliver a new unit. Electrolux sells you junk and wants more money to replace it. I called the delivery company and they are telling me, your unit is here, but its on hold. I asked the person on the other end of the line, so now what? The response was, Call Electrolux to find out why its on hold.So I call and the person tells me he wants to contact the original customer service person I spoke to and figure out whats going on. He asked if I paid the $169 and I told him no. He confirmed my number and said he would call me back. 3 hours later no call, so I decide to call Electrolux back to see whats going on. I wait on hold for 15 minutes because of the heavy volume of calls. The customer service rep answers and I explain to her whats going on and her response is, they must have gone home for the day is why I never heard back. This is NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE! She tells me she needs my consent to release the product and I will pay on good faith once the replacement unit is delivered. I call back to the delivery company and tell them what I just did and now they are telling me, No, we do not take payment and I need to call Electrolux! I told her this doesnt make any sense and the woman said she will send Electrolux non-customer service department an email to figure out whats going on. I asked if I could at least get my name on their delivery schedule and she said no, as long as the product is on hold she cannot do that and here I am, SUPER FRUSTRATED and have no idea whats going to happen next. I will NEVER BUY from Electrolux again and will NEVER RECOMMEND them to anyone. I hope this gets out to as many people as possible and makes some kind of sense.

In April of 2015 we purchased a new home from a builder. The builder had Electrolux appliances installed so we went with what they had not knowing what a nightmare that would be! The first visit from a repair company happened within 60 days of being in our home. They ended up removing the refrigerator and giving us a new one because the fridge had a bent frame! The second refrigerator is still in our home and I have had to call and have 2 more service calls. Now, we are dealing with an ice maker that isnt working properly so we have ice building up on the back wall of our refrigerator which pushes the drawers out of their slides. We are now waiting for parts that are on backorder so our repair can be done. No worries, I can keep chipping ice off of the back of my brand new fridge! When you call Electrolux for a repair you end up speaking to people who never give you the same information about how or when the service appointment will happen. Their customer service is a mess and the real joke is that they ask you when you are finished setting up another appointment if you would like to take a survey to tell them how they are doing! Ha! Electrolux products, service and service providers stink and as a company they should be ashamed of themselves for making such crap products and charging so much for them! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for appliances. I mean really, how many days do you want to sit home from 8am-1pm or 1pm to 5pm waiting for repair work to be done? Lifes too short for that!

Whoa -- either in 1970 or 1971, my parents purchased a Gibson freezer. Within in the last 2 years - yep last 2 yrs - we decided to replace the working Gibson. It was still working and never broke down once. But of course, it used way too much electricity and we didnt want to take a chance with a freezer full of food. Went to Lowes and purchased an Electrolux (tag inside of freezer) but says Frigidaire on the outside. Of course, yesterday it died and ruined a full freezer. It just floors me that a freezer thats almost 45 years would still be working and the new freezer that is ** 2 years old took a crap - OF COURSE -- ITS OUT OF WARRANTY!!! WILL NEVER AGAIN EVEN WASTE MY TIME LOOKING AT ELECTROLUX/FRIGIDAIRE.Updated on 07/07/2017: Within a couple of days I received an email back from Electrolux. - blah blah blah -. Yes, they said they were concerned and asked for more information regarding the repair. Explained, repair person was coming Sat. - he came - found what was wrong, said he would order the part and come back to install it. I emailed Electrolux again & explained it was a control of some kind. Never did they let me know NOT to pay the repair person ---- well let me know if you know of a company that will be willing to fix an appliance and then WAIT for payment. After the repair was completed, I emailed back and gave the additional information, & asked where I could mail the invoice since we paid for the repair. HAVE NOT HEARD A WORD SINCE. I purchased an Electrolux refrigerator 4 years ago based on many trips to appliance centers who all recommended this brand. I have had both a GE refrigerator and Whirlpool in the past with virtually no issues. The water paddle has failed twice (only my husband and I live here). There is no replacement for just the paddle so you have to buy the entire water dispensing system. The board control went out in 11/2011 and now the same board needs to be replaced again for the price of $400-$500 with service. I called Electrolux who told me to buy an extended warranty yearly for the price of $196. I will never ever buy another Electrolux product again. It makes me wonder if this company was paying higher commissions on their products than their competitors due to so many people stating they heard it was the best appliance from so many sales people.

We have a very big Electrolux fridge at our parents' house. We've had about 3 different refrigerators in the past 25 years and hands down it's the best we've ever had. The freezer is so cold that it takes less than an hour and a half for tap water to become ice. It's even colder than my ex's heart, LOL. The fridge itself is also very spacious. We never run out of space for food considering the fact that my mom has a tendency to hoard food in the ref for weeks. Everything stays nice and fresh when it's put inside our Electrolux fridge. Being that Electrolux is not really a popular refrigerator brand here (or anywhere I think), I would definitely recommend others to give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

The freezer did work without issue, however the refrigerator (after three services) still doesnt hold a temperature under 70 degrees. We asked for a replacement from the company we purchased it from (Jetson of Stuart Florida) and was told that the manufacture would not authorize a replacement because the unit could not be classified as unrepairable. Called the manufacture, and was told that they had no record of any service on the refrigerator. After the manufacture called the service department at Jetsons, and discovered no service call history was forwarded to the manufacture, all that could be done was another service call had to be set up. (Runaround, runaround). Of course a technician will get the unit to work for a few hours and again it will fail, and this merry-go-round will continue. I am out $2,000 and no working refrigerator. Electrolux sent me paperwork to file a claim with their liabilities department, which I did at the beginning of October. French door refrigerator - This has been the worst appliance ever created. We purchased in the late Fall of 2011. Very soon the plastic grey trim popped off the freezer door for no reason. Just two adults live here so no wear and tear. Not happy about it but taped it on until finally giving up on tape holding. Customer services response was lame and we were not willing to pay for their ridiculous fix so I would have to live with this aesthetic. Then we began having issue after issue with the ice maker. Grinding noise, not making ice or it all freezing together -- on and on and it never got fixed. Repairman has been out 3 times in past 2 months. He was back yesterday and we pulled the fridge from the wall and we were horrified. The back had a big block of ice protruding. It had sweated and rusted out the entire back panel. The insulation was shot. This is nothing more than a boat anchor now. We paid a lot of $ for an appliance that didnt even last 6 years and weve hated it since about a month after purchasing. We have lawyers in the family and were planning on initiating a class action suit. I would use an Igloo cooler before I would ever consider an Electrolux refrigerator or anything! They dont stand by their product and they shouldnt be allowed to get away with these continued issues. The fridge should be banned from further production and the company should close its door if they cannot remediate the problems and compensate customers for these losses. We now have to buy a new fridge after spending approx $4000 less than 6 years ago.

I made the mistake of purchasing an Electrolux bottom freezer refrigerator in 2010. It was not cheap ($3300.00) at the time. I liked the design. The ice maker has not worked since I purchased it. There is always something wrong. Two months ago the ice maker was not freezing ice. I contacted the warranty company and they said they would send someone out. Two weeks went by and I heard nothing. After cleaning up water I called the warranty company again and received a very nice lady (Pamela) and she sent someone different out. They came out and three weeks later put in a new part. That was last Friday. I still do not have ice. Phone calls (3) to Mr. Appliance have not been returned and the call to the warranty company was very abrupt. Latisha could have cared less.

I purchased a Electrolux refrigerator on 2/10/2013. After I purchased the refrigerator the ice maker didnt work. The repair man came out to my house and said the water line was frozen and that this was a known issue. He place a part in the refrigerator that would stop the line from freezing. Now, for the last month my ice maker hasnt worked. I had a repair man from ASI appliance repair company come out. He said that the ice tray had a crack in it and that a piece broke off that this was the cause of the ice maker not working. I gave it 24hrs. to produce ice, nothing happen. The repair came back out and said that I need a back panel deterioration Kit and that it will extend my refrigerator out two inches. Also, that the manufacturing is aware of this problem. So, in short Im very dissatisfied with this product. I paid a lot of money for what I thought I was getting a high end refrigerator. This unit is only 3 yrs old. I want to know what are you going to do. At this present time I will never purchase another Electrolux product and will inform social media and friends to do the same.

Narrow refrigerator. Absolutely the WORST APPLIANCE EVER. The first fridge they delivered leaked. The second was damaged. The third didnt last 18 months. When I called for service, they stood up my tenant TWICE. The fridge is an absolutely piece of garbage. Do NOT waste your money. One of the worst service departments EVER. Unfortunately I do not have to paperwork as it is at another location, but I will never EVER buy another Electrolux product. A waste of money, time and energy. If anyone is monitoring this for Electrolux, you can call me at **. As if the company cared. Bah.

It was absolutely horrible. I will never buy another Electrolux product and I will never recommend or suggest them to a client to buy their product. I purchased a French door Electrolux fridge at the hefty price of $3,700. The ice maker never worked and after numerous visits and parts ordering over the next 2 months, it was discovered that the inside was dented to the point that the electronic parts that had failed could not be replaced. The appliance company replaced it with a new Electrolux. Four months later, the ice maker stopped producing ice and water started leaking onto the floor from the water dispenser. Two months later, after 4 visits by the appliance company service department, a gasket left of the fridge seemed to be the culprit.I ordered that rubber gasket and 3 weeks later, it showed up. The appliance company came out to replace it but its the wrong gasket. That was 4 weeks ago. I just got a call from them and the correct replacement gasket will be delivered within 5 days. Now, we are going on more than 4 weeks to get that rubber gasket and who knows if its the right one. Thats almost 2 months total waiting for the correct gasket! Im stunned that Electrolux is still in business with this kind of incompetency and bad manufacturing practices.

We purchased an Electrolux side by side refrig in 2010. Within that first year the icemaker stopped working continually. It happened so many times that we finally called the company. Electrolux knows their icemaker is faulty and they immediately replaced the entire refrigerator. After about a year, the icemaker on the 2nd refrig stopped functioning. It was still under warranty and the process of replacing the icemaker began. It went on for the 3 years. Now the warranty is up. The icemaker does not function and Electrolux wants NOTHING to do with the problem.

Bought an Electrolux fridge with French doors at State Street Discount in Portsmouth, NH after a lot of research. Didnt want front side ice and water because I felt it unnecessary and potentially problem-ridden. I saw some reports of ice maker being problematic. Embarrassed to report, they were right. Thing knocks, sticks, I fought with it with a steak knife, and have changed the expensive water filter per instruction several times. Its actually mocking me right now (kid you not) with a nice tempo of knocks. Called support previously and they responded twice with average butt crack service. Ready to throw a hatchet at this thing. Mostly to cut the top half from the bottom. Have worked over the freezer trays so much they are no wobbly.

Over 3 years ago, we replaced our kitchen with all new Electrolux appliances. Since then the bottom freezer, French door refrigerator has had the ice maker replaced 3 times and repaired many more. For the first 6 months we owned it, the ice maker did not work. Electrolux kept sending incomplete/incorrect parts to the repairman and they still would not give us a new refrigerator. After the warranty expired, we purchased the extended warranty for $350+ per year, for two years, then we stopped. The ice maker has broken again; we spent $450 for a repair this week and it still doesnt work and now they want another $250 for another part.We are beyond angry; we are exhausted by this refrigerator, process, company. We have decided No More! and for now will make ice in trays while I go out to every store in town and begin researching the products, companies and service records to buy a new refrigerator. It is a very sad day in America when American companies treat their citizens this way and we will absolutely never purchase another Electrolux or Frigidaire product. They should be zapped with a fine, like automakers, etc.

Ice maker does not work. On second unit now. French door model with ice in door.. Some times will work for a day or two. Then it stops. It might make a cube or two in a few days then it stops again. Always made low volume of cubes in a day. Maybe two small cubes. Now I have to buy ice at store and put in dispenser. We have to keep a small cup in the door under the water tube because it leaks water on the floor. I purchased a refrigerator from home depot on the 23rd and it was delivered
I purchased a refrigerator from home depot on the 23rd and it was delivered to me on March 2. Before the delivery guy brought the fridge in he informed me that the fridge was dented and if I wanted a new one I would have to wait another week without a fridge and with a small child that was out of the question. So I decided to call Electrolux to see if I could be compensated for the fridge. I talked with ** and she told me without pictures I could have $40 off the fridge, I took pictures of both sides of the fridge and did not hear back from her. I called the next day and spoke with ** and he said I guess we can give you $60 off. I was upset with the rude comment and said that I was still unhappy and he said well what are you expecting? I was not expecting anything but would have liked to be acknowledged that what I bought was not what I received. He told me he would talk to a manager and call me back the next day, I called and spoke with him again and he said I guess we can give you the $100 off. I was very upset by the way I was being treated and said that I would just prefer to have a new fridge sent since that is what I paid for. His response was oh so now youve changed your mind, we will deliver, then hung up on me. I got no apology for the situation or any details about when the new fridge would be delivered. I am astounded by the horrible customer service this company hires. I called back after being rudely hung up on and he refused to pass me on to a manager. I called back several times after this trying to speak with a manager and not one person would help me. It is now March 20 and after going to home depot in person I got the first apology for my situation and the man working there was amazing and threatened to call head office if my issue was not resolved. Turns out ** did not give my phone number to the delivery company. Appalling, dont use this company, its not worth it

Our Electrolux Fridge model EI23BC60KS (ELECTROLUX, REF F/S 24D, FRENCH DOOR, F/D, 23CUFT, 24D, HDN HNG, I/M) started overheating about 9 months post purchase. Since then weve taken at least 12 days off work so far to have service technicians come check it out (6x now) and then waited approx a week to get a second visit where they replaced a different part each time or turned it off. Worst is that every time, weve lost hundreds of dollars in food and we have a baby so had to purchase a mini fridge to at least keep his basic items like milk cool. When I reached out to Electrolux Canada Head office the last time, they indicated they couldnt do anything other than paying for parts given it was the same issue identified during warranty period because I didnt purchase replacement insurance (this was two days post warranty period). Again the same thing happened so this will be our 7th call to a servicing company. This is the second set of Electrolux appliances (we had them in our old house as well and I recommended them to friends and family given no their sleek design). Its so not worth it though unless youre ok having a fridge that doesnt actually function. This has been the worst product and customer support experience Ive had in my life. I paid a lot of money for a fridge that didnt even last 9 months, lost hundreds of dollars in food, taken several days off work to try and resolve and still no solution or support from Electrolux whatsoever.

COUNTER DEEP 3 DOOR WITH ICE IN DOOR - We have had this unit 4 years and had problems with the ice maker right away. This was repaired and works marginally but we have learned to live with it. Just recently in the freezer and ice unit we have had a rust issue. In the freezer the racks and the tracks are rusting and in the ice area a piece of metal in the unit is rusting and showing up in our ice. If you have this problem dont worry about any help from Electrolux. Even though this is the top of the line they WILL NOT be there for you. Even if this would have happened the first year there is no warranty coverage for this. So much for, You get what you pay for. We paid dearly and got sub par product.

I purchased a Electrolux refrigerator in Oct. 2014. From the moment we plugged the unit in we had issues. Initially the ice maker would not work and the filters would crack and freeze. First service call, they ordered parts and we had to wait for them to come back and replaced the ice maker and filter intake. Then the filters continued to crack and freeze, the ice maker would stop and the temperature always felt warm in the refrigerator with it even set at 33 degrees and food continually went bad. We bought an internal thermometer and the top shelf read 55 degrees!! Second service call, they had to order parts and we had to wait for them to come back, food continued to rot. They came back and replace more parts. The refrigerator continues to not stay cool. Third service call, now we are waiting on more parts to be replaced. We cant keep food, cant keep food in the refrigerator that will spoil. We have requested that the unit be replaced and Electrolux continues to send out repair companies and they dont even care about the amount of money we have wasted in food OR our time that this has taken to even take care of all these issues. I am very dissatisfied with this product and would never recommend an Electrolux Refrigerator to any consumer looking for a counter depth unit. My last refrigerator was 15 plus years old and never had one issue!! The only reason we needed to replace the unit was because we needed a counter depth for a remodel. After doing some research and reading several reviews, it looks like I am not the only one that has a bad Electrolux Refrigerator, and they are expensive LEMONS!

I will NEVER buy another Electrolux product. Its too bad I wasnt wise enough to check reviews before buying. Almost from the start I had issues with the ice dispenser. After many phone calls & service calls, at least 5, after changing celluloid, main board, ice bucket assembly, they sent 3 incorrect ones before I got the correct one. Mind you they had the part #, after taking at least 4 days off from work to be home for repair tech, I am now close to spending $700.00 in parts. (Oh, they give a 20 percent discount on parts that I have no way of breaking, a celluloid, that takes about 20 minutes to get to?) Main board? Really? I now have the pleasure of a sporadic high temp 58 degree refrigerator & again no help from Electrolux. They use cheap parts & dont stand behind their product. NEVER AGAIN.

This is the first time I have ever written on of these reviews, but I just had to because I can honestly say that dealing with Electrolux has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had. And Im still dealing with them. Some background. About 15 months ago I bought a fridge and freezer set from them. They are fairly high end, stainless steel all fridge and all freezer set. Model numbers are # E32AR85PQS and # E32AF85PQS.I am amazed at the number of issues we have had with this fridge in such a short time. The handle is permanently loose, the seal is subpar, but those two issues are minor. After we had owned it for about six months, it started leaking water. We would wake up in the morning and there would be a pool of water in front of the fridge. I called the store where I bought the appliances, and they directed me to call Electrolux. After about a half dozen calls and no real concrete answers they finally gave me the name of two Authorized service providers in my area and told me to call them. I did - 1 was out of service and one wasnt taking appointments for a couple of weeks. We waited the couple of weeks while the leaking continued to ruin our hardwood floor. When the repairman showed up, he called Electrolux and they told him this was an issue they were aware of and they sent him a part to fix it. So this was an issue they were aware of, but they didnt bother to reach out to people that bought the fridge. No compensation for my ruined floor was offered.Jump ahead to about 3 weeks ago and our fridge is no longer cooling. The coldest it is getting is about 15 degrees Celsius (but it is usually warmer). I call Electrolux again and the first agent I spoke to says that I have to deal with it myself as it is past the 1 year warranty period. She asks if there is anything else she can help with and hangs up. Then I call back and get a different agent and I explain all of the issues I have previously had and she offers a part authorization, which means I have to pay for the servicing but not the parts.I do a little more digging into my receipts and manual and see that there is a 5 year warranty on the cooling system (which is obviously where the problem is). I call them back and ask for a supervisor and explain this and then she says yes, they will cover the service cost and parts. I am not particularly happy that I was the one that had to bring this up. Had I not, I would have been on the hook for a new fridge. So, she gives me two services providers to try calling to set up an appointment. The first is the one Id told them last time was out of business and the second one doesnt have an appointment until September (It is August 12th at this time). And this is only to come look at the fridge. I figure by the time it gets replaced or fixed I will have been without a working fridge for at least a month and a half in the summer (I have young kids, lots of milk and yogurt going bad). While this is all going on, I have someone else look at the fridge. He is an appliance repairman but not one of their authorized dealers. He tells me what he thinks is going on (compressor issue or worse) and I relay that to Electrolux. They actually call him to confirm this, but then tell me that his opinion does not matter as he is not an Authorized servicer. There are other repair companies that are nearby that would be able to come take a look at the fridge in the next few days, but Electrolux wont allow this because they arent Authorized. There are other Authorized repair companies that are further away that could come in the next few days, but Electrolux wont allow this. The would rather have us be without a fridge for at least a month. With all of the issues we have had with the fridge, I would assume they would try to be accommodating, but they are not, even in the slightest. So now I wait for 3 weeks for someone to even come take a look. Poor product, worse customer service. I would never purchase another Electrolux appliance and I would suggest others stay away.

I bought this refrigerator model E127BS16J56 serial # 4A23619843 in 2013 in great anticipation of have a beautiful stainless steel refrigerator in my kitchen. Stainless steel is a bit more expensive but as a consumer you spend the extra money for its beauty that it adds to your kitchen. Ive noticed that around the stainless steel the grey plastic trims have begun to split and crack for no reason. The refrigerator is in our kitchen and does not get a lot of wear and tear, its just my husband and myself. I called Electrolux and spoke to customer service, told them the refrigerator was practically new and the cracking and chipping of the plastic trim took away from the beauty of my stainless steel refrigerator and asked them how to fix it. I was told the only way to repair the plastic trims on the freezer drawer or the French door refrigerator was to replace the door panels. They would send them to me at a 10 % discount. What!So Im supposed to order new doors at my expense of 500 per door and get a 10% discount if I purchase the doors from them and they wont charge me shipping. This was not acceptable so I called back and asked to speak to a customer service manager. I told her my story and she read through my previous complaint and offered me a 30% discount. This was at least an attempt to assist me but honestly, my refrigerator is 3 years old and all the plastic trims deteriorating and breaking off (obviously a product defect) and to solve the problem Im supposed to purchase all new doors and invest almost 1000 dollars and then pay a mechanic to put them on! Really! I want to fight this Id rather spend 1000 dollars on a lawyer and live with the chipped broken plastic doors. Im disappointed I really thought they would stand behind their product and help me, but the resolution they offered is unsatisfactory! Im going to continue to call and complain, hope springs eternal.

And yes if you place a glass of water near the back - it freezes. I have plenty of pictures to show. Poor design, poor customer experience. My husband and I own a small business. Our employee scratched our customers brand new stainless steel refrigerator door. I called to order a replacement door panel. Upon receiving the part we installed it and noticed it had a light colored stripe running down the middle of the door that looks different than the rest of the refrigerator. I called customer service back right away. I sent them a picture and they tried to tell me it was like a piece of wood. That no two pieces of wood are alike. Really? How is a piece of wood and a piece of stainless steel the same? This door panel was less than quality and no one would purchase a refrigerator like that in the store. They tried to downplay and undermine the situation, making me feel like I was being unreasonable. All I wanted was to make my customer happy and her to have her refrigerator looking new again. I finally got them to agree to refund the door but they wouldnt send a new panel without receiving the other part back, so I agreed to pay for another one to be shipped. That way our customer wasnt without a fridge door in the meantime. I was told they would contact us in a few days to pick up the defective door. I also asked them to call me directly to handle the return. Instead, they called our customer the very next day and scheduled the pick up for Monday. We hadnt received the second door panel yet so I told them we werent ready to swap them out yet. They proceeded to tell me it was too late to stop the request since they had already sent it through but that UPS would leave us a shipping label. Yesterday was Monday and no shipping label. Today I called them again and they informed me to call UPS. UPS is not even aware of any labels and advised me to contact them again. I have now been told that I will have to pay the shipping plus a restocking fee for a piece of ugly metal that is below what the standard should be for a door on a refrigerator that cost close to $3K. Every single person I have spoken to has given me a different answer. The manager I spoke to tonight was rude and insensitive. They do not care about making the customer happy. They will just take your money and blow you off. It is looking like I may be out the money for the other door panel. I am afraid even if I pay the money to ship it back, they will just come up with another story as to why they cant refund me. Unbelievable! Stay far away from this company!!

I’ve had this fridge for about two years now and I still love it. I had my cabinets professionally repainted and new countertops put in so the spot for the fridge was built in and therefore couldn’t fit a subzero without changing out the cabinetry. This fridge gave me a similar look for a fraction of the price and I couldn’t be happier with it.

I purchased a $3000 Electrolux EWF01 refrigerator March of 2014. In July of 2014 it stopped working. I went to Home Depot where I purchased it and received outstanding customer service. They gave me a loaner and delivered it the same day so I would not lose my food. Thanks Home Depot. Electrolux sent me a new refrigerator (same model) in I believe it was November of 2014. It is September 2016 and the sealing strip around the freezer is falling off and the trim is cracking. I called Electrolux and was advised the best they can do is give me a list of certified repair companies in my area. The poor ice maker by reading the reviews is apparently well known now. I would not recommend purchasing this product at any price.

Electrolux refrigerator exhibiting serious problems after the one year manufacturer warranty was up. I had purchased an extended warranty (not through manufacturer) however, when I called Electrolux to report my issues - possibly having a lemon, too many problems for a new fridge, etc. - they were completely disinterested and took no responsibility for their product. They said it was a dealer problem if I wanted any comeback! I spoke to a supervisor Jennifer. How can companies take no responsibility for a product? Specifically ice maker problems, digital display and water dispenser.
