The refrigerator freezer leaks water and then builds block of ice - have to remove every 3 weeks. The dishwasher, the door that soap is place in wont open making the soap not dissolve - has been replace once before. The caddy where the silverware is place into is all corroded making holes on the caddy pieces fall off. The stove door has fallen - have to unscrew the doors due to the style of the appliance. Food, grease falls in between the door and glass due to vents. The stainless steel which it is not stainless as they say is a poor type of metal that the appliance look smear all the time. I am able to stick door magnets on the door. Kitchen Aid will not take care of problem. All they say is, Unfortunately the appliance are 3 years old, but the problem is ongoing since the first month of purchase.

I originally purchased a KitchenAid refrigerator (model# KRFC604FSS) May 313 2017, along with 4 other KitchenAid appliances (this is a new build). All but the stove arrived 6/21/17. When we plugged the fridge in, it was making a very loud noise and many of our contractors said it was abnormally loud and I should call Pacific Kitchen & Home/Best Buy. When I did, I was told to talk to the Geek Squad and then call KitchenAid directly. That was the beginning of long wait times on the phone, automated voice messages, getting disconnected after providing endless details (they cannot call you back) and waiting to speak with a human that could take action. When I finally did speak with someone they argued with me about the date of purchase (which I have the receipt for) and how loud the noise was. They refused to replace the fridge and sent someone out. The first time I sat home for 8 hours and no one showed up. They rescheduled. The second time, they said they would be there between 8 and 12. They didnt show up and said they would come at 2. I was not able to wait, so I asked to cancel, and they said they couldnt cancel the appointment after the driver was already en route. They showed up and no one was here. When I called to reschedule they said that I wasnt there for my appointment which I explained was not the case. Then they fixed the fridge but not the dent or the rust on the front door. So I started the process all over. Finally after many calls and arguments, asking them to just replace the door, they refused and sent me free stainless steel cleaner. Pacific Kitchen & Home agreed to replace the fridge since they thought KitchenAid should have done this. The new fridge came the end of September. The ice maker stopped working early December (who needs ice during the peak holiday season?) So I made another appointment and they then canceled it, a few days before. Today the repairman came (12/29) and said that he didnt have the parts. He will be back next Friday. So this is the general gist of my experience so far. When the repair person arrives he is polite and does his best. Pacific Kitchen & Home have also tried their best (by replacing the fridge in September). The bottom line is that KitchenAid produced a poor-quality product, would prefer to fight with the consumer than provide service, and sends their repair people out without the required parts. It is important to note that this fridge was over $2600 and I have now had to take time off from work, on four occasions, and it is still not working. I have had THE SECOND fridge in my house for three months. It is still not working properly and failed during the month that I have the most people at my home. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND going elsewhere with your business.

Well, we pretty much gave up on the KitchenAid KUDS30CX dishwasher after the second control panel break and then it quit giving enough water to clean the dishes. The repair man came for the water flow. He put a coffee cup in the top rack of the dishwasher and let it run. Because it filled, he said that it was working. However, after he left, we noted the locations of the sprayers before we closed the door. After running for an hour or so, we opened up the door and the sprayers were in the same position. We did it several times with the same results. So, we decided it was a clogged line of a bad pump/motor.I opened up the area around the bottom sprayer to reveal any filters and also anything else. I saw no debris. I did get to see the food grinder. It’s pretty wimpy looking. We gave up when it was ruled as a problem with the pump/motor. Who knows how many times this is going to happen over its life? It’s just not worth it. I went and got another brand. It’s a Whirlpool. They also make KitchenAid, but I could tell it was different underneath and in the panel. Hopefully, this one will be better as they are known for reliability. I did not get the food grinder because I could not help think it was part of the problem. Could the grinder be putting extra load on the motor and allowing it to burn up?

We purchased a French door KitchenAid refrigerator six years ago. Two days
We purchased a French door KitchenAid refrigerator six years ago. Two days after the warranty expired there was a leak. We contacted a repair company and he said KitchenAid’s aware of this problem and they aren’t doing anything to fix it. He did fix the leak. The next year the icemaker went. We had that replaced. Now there is a different leak from the water reservoir. The water reservoir and assembly is obsolete and there is no replacement. After doing some research I found a replacement part number, but that replacement part is also obsolete. We will end up turning off the water supply for the water dispenser and just start buying bottled water again. This is the second time we had a KitchenAid refrigerator. We had no problems with the first one which was at a different property. Was still going after 12 years when we sold the property. When we remodeled the kitchen in our current home we went with KitchenAid. Now we are so disappointed. We can’t justify buying a new refrigerator only because of the water reservoir leak.

Bought our KitchenAid spring 2016. November 2016, I noticed our cupboards next to the dishwasher are ruined because someone at KitchenAid had a brilliant idea of doing a side steam vent instead of a front vent. Clearly the product designer at KitchenAid has never used their own product... or they just dont care about the consumers buying a poorly designed product.

I have never been treated more poorly by a company in the United States. I was sold a stove with a defective cooling mechanism and ever since it has caused me hell. KitchenAid outsources all of their repairs to Whirlpool who has DESTROYED my $1500 stove in order to fix the fan. They have forced me to stay home from work for over 2 weeks worth of time due to repairs caused by the previous repair damage that theyve caused. Every time they leave I find another rookie mistake that has caused additional damage. I am FED up with this company and will never buy from them again. They refused to provide me a new stove when asked. I have had it. Still waiting on someone to come back out and fix the last damage theyve caused.

We purchased a high end KitchenAid side by side refrigerator in 2009, erroneously believing that KitchenAid products were of high quality. Wrong! In 2014 the refrigerator failed and was not repairable. Fortunately we had purchased an extended warranty and it was replaced with a new one, same model. In September, 2019, the replacement failed and was again not repairable. These are junk refrigerators with junk warranties as they do not last long enough to take advantage of repair and parts warranties. As they say, To forgive once is to be human. To forgive twice is to be a fool. Dont be a fool and buy a KitchenAid (Whirlpool) refrigerator.

Bought my KitchenAid dishwasher just over two years ago. Last week ago the top rack crashed down into the bottom rack. They were both full of dishes, lots of broken glass. Long story short, glass bits ended up in the motor costing me nearly 400 dollars to replace. The good news is that after I told the phone rep that I had owned only KitchenAid dishwashers for nearly 30 years and was disappointed in how this one had failed, she got them to mail me a set of adjusters for free. If only she had gotten an authorization for the repairman to install a set, he could have taken care of the problem while he was here. I am still waiting for the adjusters to arrive in the mail, then I have to install them. Whirlpool should just admit they screwed up and take care of this problem.

I purchased a KitchenAid refrigerator model # KBLS22KWMS4, which was delivered to my home on July 8, 2010. We had 2 service calls to repair the appliance in the first year of purchase and 2 service calls in the second year of purchase, all for the same problem. We purchased a KitchenAid because of the reputation and as you can see, we are extremely unhappy with this appliance. When I called Whirlpool Canada for an exchange after the second call, I was told that they only provide service calls, no exchanges. Today, I called again as this is the fourth time the refrigerator is not working properly and again, I was told that you do not offer exchanges on appliances even though I have had 4 service calls for the same problem; 2 in the first year of purchase and 2 in the second. Obviously, this product is defective. From this I can only conclude that you do not stand by your equipment.

Kitchenaid Gas free standing range. I always thought Kitchenaid was a dependable brand. I believe this range cost us $1700. I liked that it had convection oven and that the grates on top covered the entire top so no matter what size pan or griddle you used it did not wobble. This range turned out to be the worst range I have ever owned! The repair man knew us by name including our dogs! The other terrible thing about it is we had to order this range and had to pay in advance of receiving it. Purchased at Westar in Tucson Arizona. The range did not come in for 5!!! Months.AND to make matters worse our warranty started from the day we ordered it! Kitchenaid policy! I went on facebook and wished I had done that before the purchase because there were literally hundreds and hundreds of complaints. When I suggested we all get together and start a class action law suit Kitchenaid blocked me from posting on their wall. I will NEVER buy a Kitchenaid again. My advice would be stay away from Kitchenaid. They are not what they used to be. You pay alot of money for nothing!I now research completely before I buy any appliances. I take my time, I ask around. Sometimes the less expensive brands are 100% better. It took so long to get this range that after my complaining weekly (because every week they said it would be in that week) they finally gave me a GE use in the meantime since I had NO range. The GE they loaned me was a $700 range but after finally getting the Kitchenaid I realized the GE ran circles around the KA.

So disappointed in my 6 yo KitchenAid French door refrigerator model # KFIS29PBMS00. Ice accumulates in the back which impacts the refrigerator’s ability to stay cold. It’s 53 degrees now!! We have had it repaired at least once a year for every year we have owned it. We always renewed our extended warranty plan because it was cheaper than paying out of pocket for the repairs. Our factory certified repairman told us it was a defect in manufacturing! Well we are done with this refrigerator!

On September 30, 2014 we purchased a Kitchenaide 42 side by side refrigerator, Model # KSSC42QVS06, Serial #K43809168, Sales #5508519 from Pacific Sales in Escondido, CA. When it was delivered there was a dent on the right panel. We were desperate to have the appliance as our other refrigerator had stopped working and we had had several hundred dollars food loss. So, we were told that we would be able to have the door replaced within a reasonable time without a problem and an appointment was made to have a local repair and parts company evaluate the dent and order a replacement door panel. On October 3, 2014 the local repair and parts representative wrote up an order for a new right side door panel. It is now December 28, 2014 and the panel has yet to be replaced! I have contacted the local parts people and have called Whirlpool directly without success. There seems to be no definitive date of replacement available. How can you possibly operate in such a manner and expect repeat business? What has happened to you integrity? Please let me know when we can expect a replacement door panel as soon as possible.

We decided to purchase a Kitchen Aid dishwasher (KUDC10FXSS) to replace our Whirlpool dishwasher in the spring of this year. We have had nothing but problems with it. I noticed that it was running through rinse aid very quickly and then completely shut down. We were told that it needed a new control board, which was then replaced. It took three weeks to get this part in because it was on back order. Less than a week later, the rinse aid began pouring out from the dispenser, so once again a repairman came out and told us that we must have a bad dispenser so that was replaced next. Even with the new dispenser, I am now having to add rinse aid every two weeks and have a terrible film on my glasses and dishes. I called the business where we bought it and they sent out the same repair guy, who told me that he doesnt know why its going through rinse aid so quickly and that he would research it for me. Well, its been three weeks and no word from him or the business which he works for. We asked to replace this dishwasher because we think its a lemon and we were told that unless we have three separate incidents with it, Kitchen Aid will not replace it. We are very frustrated and will not buy any Kitchen Aid products in the future!

This is the second Kitchenaid refrigerator I owned. The first one had problems right from the start. Multiple repairs within the year. Symptoms were not cooling properly, no ice, ice buildup on evaporator coil. Kitchenaid finally replaced the unit because of leak in sealed system. The second one came Jan 2018. By March had issues again. The same problems. Ice build up, no ice, not holding temp. 5 more house calls, loss of food, missed work then conveniently after the manufacturers Warranty expired Kitchenaid deemed it unrepairable. How convenient. I could have told them that back in March. The only problem is that now I am in extended warranty and they only offer 70% of the value. They would not say why it was unrepairable (the sealed system again which should have a 5 year manufactures warranty). I know this because its the same problem as the first one and the same symptoms on last house call. What else would be unrepairable?? I spent 4 hours on phone trying to get satisfaction but they just said, I can transfer you but it will be same answer. Unbelievable that they would rather lose customers for life than replace what is apparently a Manufacturing issue. You can search for class action lawsuits and find many complaints on the same issue. They simply do not care.... I actually believe they deliberately instructed the repair people what to do to stretch out the time to avoid giving me another replacement or my full purchase price money back. I bought Model KRFF707ESS01 for $3,500. Never had a working unit for more than a few months.

I too experienced the dishwasher top rack roller failure. The top rack rollers are secured by (2) cheap very thin plastic spreader clips. These clips are approximately 3/16 wide by 1/16 thick. If just one of these cheap clips breaks - the roller wheel will separate causing the rack to collapse along with progressive failure of the adjoining roller wheel clips. This deliberate design and manufacturing defect by KitchenAid is an obvious attempt at planned obsolesce. This once celebrated company is no longer interested in producing durable quality products. Avoid the purchase of all KitchenAid dishwashers!

I have a house in New Jersey that was affected by Sandy. When installing the new kitchen I decided to buy KitchenAid appliances since I had them in my house in Florida and loved them. WHAT A MISTAKE!! I have had the range serviced 4 times now for the same problem (oven not lighting). It was recommended by the store where I bought the range that I should call Whirlpool and request a replacement. The answer I got from Whirlpool was that the warranty does not cover replacement only repairs. So keep in mind when buying KitchenAid that if you get a lemon like I did, you are going to be stuck with it and just keep getting service until your warranty expires. Also, once you get into the extended warranty period (if you still own it by then), you may have more issues. I havent reached that point yet and dont think I will. Now the oven will not heat to set temp and does not hold its heat. The repair company is coming to fix next week. I will never buy a KitchenAid appliance again. This was my 1st experience with KitchenAid. We also have a high end Kitchen dishwasher which we had to replace plastic parts for the upper drawer. Very Poor Quality. Now I know why KitchenAid does not have a customer service line you can call.

I was disappointed in the KitchenAid dishwasher I bought. I was happy with the noise level and look, however it never worked properly. It did not wash the dishes efficiently and the drying setting never worked. I had Kitchen Aid come and look at it and they told me it was an “energy efficient” dishwasher so it did not dry dishes thoroughly. I had my plumber come and look at the connection to make sure all was fine. Kitchen aid put me off until my warranty was up. I replaced it with a GE that is energy efficient and works really well, it is not as quiet, but washes my dishes and my drying setting works when needed. I was disappointed in the product but. It can happen. Things can be defective. I was more put off by the way it was handled.

I always bought KitchenAid for my appliances. I considered myself a good customer but right now Im completely dissatisfied and angry because on what is happening with my Range Oven/Microwave (Model KEMC308KSS01 - Serial XR5013510). I bought it on Nov. 2004. I had the Service Saver Agreement until 2005. On Jan 2005, the microwave glass door exploded for the first time. We replaced the glass with their service rep, Allstate Factory Service, for $400. On Nov 2005, the same glass exploded again, another $400 to replace it. We replaced the glass with their rep from Appliance Expert Appliance Repair. For the Third time on March 05 2012, the glass exploded again. The microwave glass door always exploded when was not in operation. We already spent $800 replacing the microwave glass door for a microwave that should work fine at the first place. We never experienced such a bad performance by any KitchenAid products before. I have to assume that the Range Oven/Microwave that I bought has a defect from manufacture, faulty and represent a safety hazard. Maybe they should have issue a recall of this model. But to tell you the truth, we feel scared about this product. We know it will cause an explosion or a fire or glass will start flying in the air, etc. We expecting to obtain a replacement since the unit never work properly and represent a safety hazard.

Our KitchenAid model KUDD01DSSS stainless steel dishwasher is a double drawer unit with plastic interior. It is very nice for my wife and I and small loads but probably not as useful for a family. It is a bit noisy and seems to run quite a long time. This is a 2006 model, so perhaps a newer model would be more efficient and address the noise issue. Overall, I have been satisfied with this dishwasher.

We have been somewhat satisfied with our KitchenAid appliances. However, when our built-in refrigerator started making a loud sound, we went to the KitchenAid website and made an appointment with a service repair company. The service repairman came to our house and thought the noise was caused by a circuit board or the fan. He thought this should fix the problem. Because the refrigerator was not making the sound at the appointment, he could not be conclusive. The estimated cost was $521. We thought we would call KitchenAid and see if there was a better diagnostic tool to determine the noise. KitchenAid told us this was not an authorized technician and that we should set up an appointment with the correct company. They set an appointment. We were frustrated because we had just paid $65 for a service call, and we were going to have to have it serviced again at $99. We wanted our $65 reimbursed. After this, we called the service company and asked why they came out if they were not authorized. They said they should not and that we should contact Whirlpool KitchenAid, who set the appointment to be reimbursed. In the end, after 2 hours of phone time, KitchenAid said the phone rep had made a mistake that this company was qualified/authorized. So in the end, I spent 20 minutes on the phone with a specialist who led me into spending another hour and 40 minutes with customer service reps who tried to undo the specialists recommendation. I am out $65 for a service repair. I will need to spend $99 for another service repair recommendation. KitchenAid stated they gave me bad information but would not provide any written notification or written statement. KitchenAid has assured us that they would make changes within the company to make certain this never happens again. In the end, I do not trust KitchenAid/Whirlpool. I do not trust the Customer Service rep Ashley. Worst, I am stuck with a house full of appliances that I would love to rip out, sadly not because the product does not work, but because when I have a problem, I will have to work with the customer service department. I strongly recommend purchasing another brand.

Upon baking a heavenly apple pie for desert, (we live in the Okanagan Valley of BC) the well stuffed pie spilled over during baking. After the range cooled off, we set the self clean oven on. The next day, we proceeded to wipe the residue with a damp cloth and we noticed that the oven base was badly pitted. We reported this damage to the manufacturer (1-800-807-6777) and it went on deaf ears. Our range is only four months old. Burnt sugar will pit all porcelain surfaces, we were told. That is not so!! We have never experienced damage to our porcelain ovens from other manufacturers. Our VIP SUPERIOR PROTECTION PLAN also will not cover this situation. We would not recommend Kitchen Aid Ranges. We would appreciate a settlement.

We just renovated our entire home, and I wanted a good, solid, basic dishwasher for the basement kitchen, thinking this a better option for my teens. This is not our main kitchen and it doesnt get the normal amount of use like our main, upstairs kitchen, and I didnt want anything too complicated. The KitchenAid dishwasher was installed and leaked from day two. It leaked out the sides and all over the floor, and ruined the brand new cabinetry that it was installed next to. In the two years that weve had it, it has been serviced 7 times, and tomorrow will be the eighth. It was barely nine months old and a pump had to be replaced.Early on, I begged the KitchenAid company for a new unit. I even offered to spend a little more and get a totally different unit, knowing Id have to have another cabinet panel made to match our cabinets. Anything to get this lemon out of my kitchen! Nothing doing. Im basically stuck with it, and now whenever I call (again) for service, they want to charge me the service call because its out of warranty, even though they have the service history. I ask for a supervisor and they finally agree to foot the service call, but for how much longer, its anyones guess. Thank goodness I chose two Bosch dishwashers for upstairs. They are quiet and work wonderfully, and they get a lot of use!

I placed a review on this site regarding a catastrophic failure of a door seal on our very expensive fridge 3 years to the date after purchase. After numerous conversations with the Canadian warranty department and being told the part was not warrantied after one year I ordered a door seal from another provider and replaced the seal. I then wrote the review.Much to my surprise on Dec 4 The manager of Canadian Operations for Customer Relations Whirlpool contacted me to advise us they were prepared to send a service technician out to replace the seal at no cost to us. I advised the Manager that I had already replaced the seal and what the cost was. The Manager advised me to send him a copy of my receipt and that Whirlpool would reimburse me for any out of pocket costs for the seal replacement. This was a very pleasant surprise indeed and has replaced my faith in the KitchenAid product as they DO stand behind their product. There may be a takeaway here for Whirlpool to make it easier for Canadian clients to escalate a problem. A customer relations email address, phone number?

We have had 3 service calls in the 2 month, now waiting for a fourth, each with major parts repair, only to still have 68 degrees, NON-FUNCTIONING, $3,000 refrigerator!!! Spare yourselves, if you can by staying clear of KitchenAid/Whirlpool. Tell your friends and family!!! I wouldnt wish this experience on ANYONE!!! They refuse to exchange or refund. I am extremely dissatisfied and could kick myself for purchasing KitchenAid appliances. We bought a suite of six KitchenAid appliances for our newly remodeled kitchen six months ago. We installed them four months ago. Last night, I turned on the self-cleaning cycle for the very first time and woke to a kitchen full of tiny pieces of glass. A repairman will come in five days. If this is anything like the experience we had with the new dishwasher. We installed the dishwasher and I ran a load of dishes. All of a sudden, I noticed water gushing (damaged new hardwood floor), faulty part. It was three weeks before it was fixed. I ran two loads of dishes and the door latch stuck. A repairman came out two weeks later and used a tool to pick out the latch. He told my husband to pick out the latch if it did it again. I did not feel so good about that. One load and the same thing happened again. We called for repair, and it is two weeks before they can come out. We didnt hear from them in two weeks, so my husband called the service department and then the salesman. The third week, the part came in and they said the part was faulty. Now we have to wait for another two weeks before they come out and replace the faulty part. The dishwasher is working now and the oven glass exploded during the cleaning cycle. I feel like I lit a match to $10,300. I have read the comments listed and feel this exploding glass is an extreme safety issue. And to think I was so proud of my Kitchen Aid appliances. Why does this company not care about their reputation and customer satisfaction? What a headache and heartache. I wish I could turn back the clock and that money would have gone to another manufacturer that stands behind their product and cares about customer satisfaction.

In the Spring of 2006, I purchased 4 new KitchenAid appliances for my new gourmet kitchen. Within a month, the control panel of the slide-in oven had to be replaced. The oven stopped working a month ago. The dishwasher has been performing worse and worse every week for a year.I am tired of rewashing by hand all my gritty dishes and glasses. Today I will spend the day taking it apart in the hope of cleaning out the guts and getting it to work. My french-door Kitchen Aid fridge has half a dozen broken plastic parts. I have never seen anything so flimsy. I have no kids man-handling my appliances, they are just poorly made.Thirty years ago I got a top quality Kitchen Aid mixer, it still works like new. That is what led me to buy Kitchen Aid everything when I did my upgrade in 2006. I had forgotten that the mixer was really made by Hobart (a really good company) What happened to Kitchen Aid? I have had a problem with my brand new KitchenAid side by side fridge since day 1 !! The ice maker freezes up within a few hours of producing ice. The dispenser wont dispense ice because the ice is a frozen mess, but a slight leak of water continues to drip through the ice maker onto my wood floor. I didnt break it, it came this way! KitchenAid has sent 4 different repairmen from 2 different companies and so far no one has figured out what the problem is. Now they want me to setup a fifth appointment for another repairman to come. The unit has always been broken.KitchenAid should stand by their reputation and heavy ticket price and replace my fridge. They can fix it in their factory, but taking 4 days of work off to await repairmen to fix a brand new fridge is enough. So I still have a broken fridge, as my wood floors are being ruined while KitchenAid continues to try to repair it . Since the day I purchased this range, gas/convection oven, I have been disappointed with the quality. First of all, the salesperson at ABT told me the same thing about limiting the amount of self cleaning you do (but said you should do that with all self cleaning ovens.) Then, the fan on the oven sounds like a jet engine when it is on convect or cool down mode. I purchased this range in 2005 I believe, and this Thanksgiving, literally moments after the turkey was done, the oven shut down and will not turn back on. We purchased all KitchenAid appliances when we built our house in May 2010, after being told that they were top-of-the-line. Regarding our refrigerator (model KBFS25EVMS2) with French doors and freezer on the bottom thats been in the house for about 8 months, we noticed that the right side of its doors was not sealing properly. When I contacted the store about this, I was told that this is a typical problem with the French-door models. Should this not be disclosed upfront?! When I contacted KA about this, I was told that my refrigerator was out of warranty (date of purchase, not date installed) and they refused to help in any way.My problem with all this is my old refrigerator (Maytag) had it for 23 years, and I never replaced a door gasket or worked on it in any way. I dont know a door gasket should go bad in less than a year. Now being two years, it is crumbling and falling apart when you open the door. If you buy from KA or an approved service company, the seal is $199. I purchased one on the internet for $99 and replaced it myself. Buyer, beware! KA does not care about the customer, just the dollar! I will never purchase another KA brand or Whirlpool brand ever again, and I will make sure all my friends know about it too.

After reading all of the negative reviews about Whirlpools Customer Service
After reading all of the negative reviews about Whirlpools Customer Service, I felt I had to post my very positive experience. We purchased a KitchenAid Architect series refrigerator in April 2015. Unfortunately, it turned out be a defective fridge which would not be repaired. We had several visits to repair the unit since it simply would not defrost, and several different technicians, but in the end they couldnt fix the problem. I was quite apprehensive about what resolution would be offered and was ready for a big battle. To my surprise, Whirlpool (KitchenAid) Customer Service couldnt have been better. They offered me an exchange or a complete refund without hesitation. Even through my repairs, each call was handled promptly and efficiently. I have no complaints and even though this refrigerator didnt turn out to be what I had hoped for, I would not hesitate to purchase a KitchenAid appliance again in the future.

We are having the same problems as others with the Kitchenaid Microwave Hood Combo (KIHMS155LSS3). We own two units (one at lake cabin & one at home). The cabin one was running when I returned after being gone for 6 days & the only way to shut off was to unplug it. It was not used or plugged in for three days. Then last night at 1:20 am I woke up to it beeping and the control panel read 5:42 & it would not cancel so I had to unplug it. When I heard about this a year ago I started unplugging my cabin microwave whenever we were gone. Im frustrated & will be contacting Kitchenaid even though others have said it will do no good.

I purchased my $650.00 dishwasher on 08/06/11. I just finished making an appointment for service for the fifth time. Each service is for the same blown internal fuse. If the fuse keeps blowing, there must be a reason; although the service tech assured me that the unit is in perfect working order. I guess that the fuse blows for no reason, but there must be a reason! Im sending a copy of this to my insurance company in case your dishwasher sets my house on fire.

Our KitchenAid oven/convection oven combo with Microwave Model # KEMS308SWH blew a fuse while on self-clean. Repairman said that KitchenAid ovens blow fuses all the time while on self-clean. He suggested that I not try to use that feature again because it will happen again and that Kitchen Aid tends to overheat. Repairs are expensive since the entire oven has to be removed from the wall and the back removed to access the fuse. We now realize that we have paid over $3000 for an oven with a feature we cannot use and, after reading other complaints, could even be dangerous. Kitchen Aid should do something about this immediately.

I am a very dissatisfied customer! I bought a KitchenAid Side-by-Side with Ice Dispenser Refrigerator (Model #KSRV22FVSS04) on 10/22/11 and have had to have 3 service calls within the warranty period (now about to end 1 year later) on the same problem with the ice dispenser. The dispenser chute mechanism is not strong enough to always close and will remain open and not properly dispense ice. When that happens, this allows warm air to get up into the auger mechanism and freeze it up completely, and water flows all over the floor. With the first service call, it was identified that we had been delivered an older model that had a design flaw in the chute mechanism that the company knew about, but didnt fix, and was also missing a part that had to be ordered and replaced in March 2012. We have maintained as per the manual, so any references to any manual maintenance are not applicable to this problem. However, on October 4, 2012, the same problem happened again, and I came home from work to find a leaking mess all over my kitchen floor again! I called their Customer Care for service, but they were unable to get someone right there for 2 days, and I had to take care of the mess to prevent damage to my kitchen walls and floor again! When the service person did come out today, they did not diagnose the problem correctly, and I still have this problem! To make matters worse, I immediately called KitchenAids Customer Care phone (now I understand why they are experiencing high call volumes) and again waited for 15 minutes, only to have to talk with a very rude Selicia who was unwilling to assist me in resolving my ongoing problem. When I asked to talk to her supervisor, Joetta came on the line and continued with the same rude, snobbish, refuse-to-assist-you attitude, almost calling me a liar; and when I requested for the service repair to come back out and fix the problem, she refused. She also refused to forward me to anyone else to enable me to resolve my customer complaint. For over 20 years, I had GE appliances, including a refrigerator with an ice dispenser, and never had any problems. This KitchenAid Refrigerator is my first and will be my last (and I will never buy another appliance that has the name, KitchenAid) because they sell inferior products that dont work as they are advertised, then they refuse to stand behind their products, and they do nothing to ensure good customer service and satisfaction. I will also be telling everyone I know about my horrible KitchenAid Experience and hopefully prevent others from falling victim to KitchenAids poor quality and service.

The over the stove KitchenAid microwave has been in daily use for 6 months. It usually works well, but there are random times when a message code appears rendering the micro unusable. The open/close door message will flash and it doesnt matter how many times you obey the command. The microwave will not allow a time to be entered or heat. After an hour or two the microwave will work just fine... Always after the meal is finished without those baked potatoes you allowed 12 min. cook time for.

I have a KitchenAid Refrigerator and Microwave Oven Combo which are 8 years old. The refrigerator went out on 11/26. My warranty was out so they sold me a 1-year extended for $429.00. A&E came out on December 3 to fix the refrigerator. The repair guy said it was the circuit board and would order it. He said it would take 1 week to get the part. The part never showed up and A&E called to find out if I received the part. The repair guy told me to move the fan to keep the refrigerator cool. He told me the part is back ordered until January 19. Now I am out of a refrigerator and freezer. I lost over $400 in food. I called KitchenAid back to get a tracking number for the part. They told me the part is due in on December 19th so I booked another appointment. After 15 calls to A&E and KitchenAid, I found out the part is now discontinued! And the reason is that KitchenAid stopped making it. But the system had a glitch and no one knew it was not coming in. Four weeks and still there is no working refrigerator. A&E came out to pull the circuit board to have it rebuilt. Another week before its fixed or is it? I called to get some sort of compensation and answers but again no one knows what is going on. I got mixed answers to my questions. I will never buy another KitchenAid appliance! Then the spring on my microwave/oven went out. They sold me another warranty for $350.

Purchased KitchenAid dishwasher about two years ago thinking we were paying more to get a quality product. It has been instead inferior and troublesome. A long series of problems began from the start. Crooked footings that made it more challenging to install. Leaking door seal that needed to be replaced. Leaks from some undefined location that require we use and empty a drip pan. Plastic wheels breaking and not staying on track (dumping the full tray into the well) when sliding in full trays of dishes. Poor cleaning compared or prior cheapo washers. Flatware trays that wear out easily even while trying to be careful, and now to top it off, the unit has stopped rinsing the dishes entirely. What a huge waste of money!

I bought my side-by-side fridge at Sears as part of a suite of new KitchenA
I bought my side-by-side fridge at Sears as part of a suite of new KitchenAid appliances. I had the kitchen in my 100-year-old house completely remodeled last summer, and the new KitchenAid refrig, dishwasher and range hood were the centerpieces. The refrigerator just fit under a new custom-made wooden cabinet (designed around it) and beside a custom-made cabinet with granite countertop. Price for the refrig: $2, 266; price for the kitchen remodeling: @ $30,000. I started getting letters from KitchenAid right after buying the products about buying an extended warranty. I figured that $2,000 refrigerator was likely to work for a good long time. (Of course, this was a very naive view of present-day appliance quality.)The new refrigerator was installed by my contractor on Aug 15, 2012 and was a problem right from the start. The icemaker didnt work when we first plugged it in, and a service call from Sears was necessary to get it working initially. In early June 2013, both freezer and refrigerator stopped cooling. By the time we realized the problem, the food in our freezer had thawed out, so we each ate three pork chops and a lot of melting ice cream and called Sears for a repairman. We couldnt schedule a repair appointment with Sears A&E Appliance Repair Service (another horror story) for a whole week, so we brought two camping coolers up to the kitchen, put the food we really needed to keep - milk, eggs, butter, etc. - in them and started making a daily trip to the store to buy $4 or so worth of ice.I took a day off from work to meet the A&E repairman. (A&E schedules their appointments in four-hour windows - 8:00 am to12:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 5:00.) The repairman finally arrived, took the whole refrigerator apart and said it needed a new evaporator. He said the part would be delivered to our house by UPS in about a week. So we continued buying ice, emptying the coolers, and eating out a lot. The part finally came and we got calls from A&E asking us to call them and verify that the parts had been delivered. When I called, I was put on hold and then finally spoke with someone whose English was so heavily-accented I really couldnt understand her. After loudly repeating, The part is here! The part is here! over and over, I hung up, hoped the repairman would show up, and arranged for another half-day wait.A new repairman wed never seen came the second time, opened the parts box, and commented that the evaporator was all banged up. I took a look and it was obvious that a number of the flanges or fins or whatever were bent. He tried to bend them back into shape and said, Theyll be fine. It wont make any difference. I left then, but my husband was there with the repairman. When I returned a couple of hours later, my husband told me the repairman said the wrong parts had been delivered. He had ordered new parts and they would be delivered in about a week. We scheduled another repair visit. That was when we got sick from eating the food in our cooler. The whole situation was making me really angry and depressed, so I called Sears Customer Service (another nightmare) and the woman I spoke with recommended that I use dry ice in my coolers, which would have required that I drive across town to pick it up. Before the next repair visit, we were asked to make another verification call, which I made. Around 8:30 the night before the visit, A&E called and another English language-learner told me that the parts had not been delivered and the repairman wouldnt be coming. I had already arranged to miss work the next day and two boxes from UPS were sitting in my hall. I started calling anyone I could get in touch with to tell them to send the repairman, that the parts were there.I guess I convinced someone because the first repairman showed up the next afternoon at 1:00. He opened the boxes, said the essential parts were there and again, took the refrigerator apart. He installed the new evaporator, but said he couldnt get the pressure right. He spent a lot of time on his cell phone talking with another repairman who was advising him. Finally, he said, Ive done everything I can. It may cool off by tomorrow, but if it doesnt, call A&E and tell them to send Bob **, the person he had called for advice. The next morning, the refrigerator wasnt cool at all. I called A&E and asked that they send Bob out. I was told he was out sick but would come the next day. The next morning, they called back and said he was still sick. I called A&E back, got another ELL on the phone and asked to speak with his manager so I could understand the speaker. I was transferred to another number that rang for five full minutes. No one ever answered the phone. Since then, I have learned that no one ever answers that number. By this time, my entire life centered around the refrigerator. Sympathetic friends were inviting us over for dinner and showing up with casseroles. Of course, if we didnt eat the whole dish, we had to throw the rest away because we were afraid of the food in the cooler. After another few hours on the phone, I contacted someone at Sears who arranged to have a loaner refrigerator delivered to my house. Again, I arranged for a delivery. Now I had a new, broken KitchenAid refrigerator in my kitchen and a small, dented GE in my dining room. I moved my milk into the loaner and bought some ice trays.I continued my calling and got a secret number from someone at Sears that enabled me to speak with a Blue Ribbon service person at Sears (talk about oxymorons) who sounded like hed had a LOT of Xanax. The Sears employee who gave me the number said, Dont tell them where you got the number. Is this a number available only to movie stars and Columbian drug cartel bosses? After hearing a condensed version of the whole awful story, the Blue Ribbon man I spoke with said Sears would replace the refrigerator with one of equal or lesser value. I reminded him that the price had probably gone up over the past year and that I had bought the original fridge on sale. This seemed to throw him for a loop. He said he had to get some more information and hed call me back in a couple of days.I called the Blue Ribbon number again this morning and asked how my refrig had been rated by other owners because I wasnt sure I wanted another fridge just like the first one if it was going to be the same piece of junk I got last summer. (Product ratings and customer reviews werent available to me online because the appliance was a special order.) But the guy at the secret number had reviews. There were only five reviews and four had given the fridge a one--out of a possible five--points. The reviewers had reported problems that sounded like mine. I then called KitchenAid and they informed me that the only KitchenAid refrigerator that will fit into my custom-built kitchen is the same one-rated model that I now own. So much for the carefully planned kitchen with the matching appliances. If Im lucky, Sears will have something that will fit in the spot built for the other fridge.

I wish you could give negative stars for their crappy product. We purchased a kitchenaid built-in refrigerator. After only 2 months of operation the refrigerator quit cooling. Both freezer and refrigerator stopped working. We lost all our freezer food and we were forced to rent another refrigerator while waiting for an appointment to have the refrigerator repaired. The refrigerator is still under the warranty period. We have had the assigned repair company come out three times. They have replaced the control module voltage inverter. The refrigerator is still not working and now the repair person has stated he is not sure and will start replacing more parts. KitchenAid has stated that they will NOT do anything but allow this technician to replace part by part. This is a $10K refrigerator and they have little regard to helping resolve the issue. I purchased in Feb. 2013 a new 27 convection double ovens Model kebs279bss00. Upper oven is very loud, exhaust fan constantly on, and it runs during preheat, cooking and cool down. Lower oven is much quieter. Cool down for a typical 350 oven is 30 minutes of this loud fan. Then it started a vibration noise. Both the convection and the exhaust fans have been replaced. Fan noise is still unacceptable. You cannot carry conversation over dinner! I attempted to contact Kitchen Aid to discuss further and waited on hold for 15 minutes. It was like waiting in outer space as there was no music. I even called back and had the same dead time. Im very unhappy with the product and with customer service accessibility.

I have had this Electric range KSEG950E for about 2 years and have had major problems with its self-cleaning technology. For starters, it simply doesnt work, even after repeated cycles. Cleaning out the water after the cycle is finished is tiresome. And the side and back panels never come clean. Its nearly impossible to scrub out these areas, as you can only use nonabrasive pads, and the oven is so deep, you cant reach in far enough to clean effectively. Even soil on the reachable areas is a challenge to clean, using only the recommended non-scratch scrubbing sponges and fresh kitchen appliance cleaner (the addition of which is recommended for hard to remove soil).Im not a heavy oven user and have tried to clean oven at the slightest sign of soil build-up. Once more, being 5 7, Id think that reaching around inside the oven to scrub should be easy. But after the lengthy clean-up sessions, I hardly need to go to the gym for exercise! Surfing the net, I see that Im not the only very dissatisfied customer! It may be good publicity to have low-energy cleaning technology. But if it doesnt work well, it cant earn high marks for the company.

We purchased a nearly $4000 KitchenAid refrigerator on May 22, 2019 (KPFC704FSS). Within a year (June 17, 2020, the ice maker stopped working and the refrigerator stopped cooling. During the course of the next two and a half months, a new compressor was installed. The fridge began to cool again, but no ice was being made. A new ice maker was ordered, but Whirlpool initially refused to provide it at no charge. Eventually, the company relented and a new ice maker was installed on July 16. Within days of installation of the ice maker, there was still no ice being made. After more phone calls, we were offered a voucher for a new refrigerator of any kind or a new KitchenAid fridge identical to the one we had. We agreed to a new KitchenAid refrigerator be delivered. BIG MISTAKE!After no delivery or delivery notice for three weeks, on August 17, 2020, a call was made to the appliance store to determine the delivery status of our new replacement refrigerator and we were told to call back on September 16 —perhaps by then a there would be an answer to our question of ‘when?’ Presently, there is no known delivery date; not even a known month of possible delivery. Throughout the past three months, and who knows how much longer, the appliance store has continued to do its best; however, KitchenAid/Whirlpool has failed all ‘reasonable standards’ of good corporate consumer service. So to date, I have spent another $600 on this dishwasher, in addition to its original cost. The next time it breaks, Im just going to buy a new one -- and it will not be a KitchenAid! One other thing to note. I complained and complained to KitchenAid about the problems, thinking that they would do something to make up for the issues. We purchased a new refrigerator 2 weeks ago. The first one that was delivered was defective and after sending out a repair crew that could not fix it, it was replaced with a second defective refrigerator. After spending hours on the phone, KitchenAid sent out a repair company that stated the entire compressor and coils needed to be replaced and compared it to a new car needing a brand new engine and suggested having KitchenAid deliver us a new refrigerator. We requested that KitchenAid either deliver a brand new working refrigerator or pick up the defective one and refund us our money so we can buy another refrigerator elsewhere. KitchenAid refused and told us they just cant help us even though the refrigerator never worked from day 1 and is under warranty for 30 days. We spent a lot of money for a brand new refrigerator and do not want a rebuilt model when we paid for a new one. We have been without a refrigerator for 2 weeks now, have spent numerous hours taking off from work waiting for delivery and repair people and KitchenAid is not willing to assist us or even offered us any kind of concessions to make this situation right. We started having issues with our KitchenAid dishwasher, KUDS301XBLO, potscrub light staying on just after the one-year warranty was up, but we were able to reset it. Then we noticed the dishes were not getting clean and the potscrub light was staying on. It will not even complete a cycle. We have only had this dishwasher 1 and 1/2 years. I called to ask about the 2- to 5-year warranty that covers all parts of defective equipment and was told I had to pay $129 service call for them to come and look at it, then I would have to pay for parts. I was offered to buy an extended warranty for $259. That seems like a lot for a dishwasher that cost more than $800 a year ago. I have been reading that the control panels have been malfunctioning and starting fires. I am very upset that this higher end dishwasher is less reliable than a $400 one. I have also read that the manufacturer is aware of this problem and has failed to recall this product.

22.6 ft counter-depth model ksc23c8eyy02 - Weve had this fridge for over a year and after the third service call, should have sent it back as a lemon. We bought a Kitchen Aid because the one we were replacing is a 17-year-old Kitchen Aid SuperBa thats now in our garage, still working. Number of service calls in past year: 3, soon to be 4. We bought a Lowes extended warranty so I have only been dealing with Lowes contract service, not KitchenAid. I have no complaints about KitchenAid service, just the quality of their product.Pros: I gave it an extra star because its so pretty. Cool functionality, easy to keep clean. Stainless surface will hold magnets, too. Cons: Ice maker has only worked twice. Ice freezes into a large block since its on the door. We buy ice and pour it in, but the ice dispenser freezes up and does not dispense at all. Lowes contracted service technicians replaced the ice maker at 5 months after purchase and it worked for about a month before it stopped making ice again. I have not had time to call and take a day off work for yet another service call. Water dispenser doesnt work unless fridge temp is set above 40 F. The technician explained that the engineering is such that the water line is too close to the coils as it passes through the fridge and it freezes. So, the water line freezes and does not work unless you keep the fridge above 40F (and then the milk goes bad before the date during the summer months). The doors are not balanced or smooth in closing and the freezer door has been left a crack open several times because you have to push it to make sure its closed. They have been here to adjust the doors at least twice. I am so very disappointed in this fridge. I have many Kitchen Aid appliances and was always willing to pay extra for the quality, but I didnt get that this time.

I paid over 800 for this KitchenAid dishwasher - it was on sale and rated very high on Consumer Reports. I expected it to last longer than the 2 1/2 years I got out of it! It took me over a month to get someone out to look at it and they said it would be 350 for the part and another 200+ to put it in, he recommended we get a new dishwasher and not a KitchenAid. Very disappointed!

We purchased a high end KitchenAid refrigerator (almost 3,000) and began having problems within 6 months. Have had 6 technician visits to attempt to fix (back of refrigerator freezes up, cant get filtered water, stops cooling and food rots in our absence). EVERY replaceable part that is not considered part of the inner compartment has been replaced. Our last technician, in writing, wrote that there was nothing else that could be done except replace the entire refrigerator and that ours was a lemon. I called the manufacturer (Whirlpool/KitchenAid) and they told me that I had a problem and they didnt, in other words... I was SOL. DO NOT BUY A KITCHENAID REFRIGERATOR or for that matter ANYTHING under the WHIRLPOOL umbrella since they will not stand by their products. Buy a GE!

Have had the KitchenAid Oven with Aqua Clean for a month and used it maybe 4 times with minimal soiling. Im now on my 6th time trying to clean it! The Aqua Clean is a joke! How can 40 minutes of steam clean an oven, especially when the inside is warm to the touch after this time! There has got to be some sort of oven cleaner that will work on this self clean oven. Also ceramic top very hard to clean. HATE HATE HATE THIS OVEN!!!

This fridge was over $3,000. It took 4 different repair calls to line up drawers. For a few months it has been shutting itself off for several hours 2 or 3 times a week. 2 days ago it shut off and wont come back on. Light above water works. Lights inside dont. I bought 4 KitchenAid appliances at the same time 4 years ago. They do not care once the sale is made.
