LG Dishwasher Model LDNTM545D Error Codes

CODE: IE
PROBLEM: Not filling
FIX: Check that the water supply cut-off valve for the dishwasher is fully open. Check the water inlet supply hose for a kink. Unplug the dishwasher, shut off the water supply and disconnect the inlet supply hose from the inlet water valve. Check the filter screen on the inlet water valve for a clog-replace the valve if the filter screen is clogged.

CODE: OE
PROBLEM: Not draining
FIX: Check the sink drain or garbage disposal for a clog and clear any clogs you find. If the sink or garbage disposal drains okay, pull off the dishwasher drain hose from the sink or garbage disposal connection and check the end of the drain hose for a grease clog. Clear grease clogs from the drain hose. If the dishwasher uses an air gap, check the air gap for clogs and clear any clogs.

CODE: AE or E1
PROBLEM: Water leak detected
FIX: Abnormally high circulation pump speed caused by low water level in the tub can cause the AE or E1 error codes. Water that leaks into the base of the dishwasher cabinet and trips the flood switch can also cause the AE or EI code. Unplug the dishwasher and shut off the water supply. Check the dishwasher cabinet base for water. If water leaked into the base, find and repair the cause of the leak. Water could leak from the water fill line, water inlet guide, drain pump, drain hose, door seals or sump.

CODE: FE
PROBLEM: Water overflow detected
FIX: The drain pump automatically runs when the FE code is displayed. A leaking water inlet valve or a stuck relay on the electronic control board can allow water to fill the dishwasher constantly. To check for a leaky water inlet valve, unplug the dishwasher and see if the tub continues to fill with water. If it does, shut off the water supply and replace the water inlet valve because the valve is letting water to flow into the dishwasher constantly.

CODE: tE
PROBLEM: Thermistor (temperature sensor) failure
FIX: Unplug the dishwasher and disconnect the wires from the thermistor on the heater. Measure the resistance through the thermistor using a multimeter. The meter should measure 11,320 ohms at 75 degrees (room temperature). Replace the heater assembly (which includes the thermistor) if the meter measures less than 1,000 ohms or more than 20,000 ohms.

CODE: LE
PROBLEM: Locked up circulation pump motor
FIX: Unplug the dishwasher and check for an obstruction that's preventing the pump impeller from spinning. Remove any debris or foreign objects from the sump. If the pump impeller is clear, check the wiring connections on the pump and reconnect any loose wires. If the wiring connections are okay, unplug the wire harness from the motor and check the resistance through pins 1-2, pins 2-3 and pins 1-3 of the motor using a multimeter. The meter should measure between 8 and 20 ohms (resistance of the motor windings).

CODE: HE
PROBLEM: Heater failure
FIX: This code appears when water isn't heating or when the thermistor (temperature sensor) detects that water temperature is higher than 194 degrees. If water inside the dishwasher tub is extremely hot, measure water temperature using an accurate thermometer. If the thermometer measures water temperature near 190 degrees, then you'll likely need to replace the electronic control board because a stuck heater relay on the control board is causing the heating element to stay on constantly.

CODE: nE
PROBLEM: Diverter motor failure
FIX: Unplug the dishwasher and check the wire harness connections on the diverter motor and diverter position switch. Reconnect any loose wires. If the wiring connections are okay, unplug the diverter motor wires and check resistance through the motor using a multimeter. The meter should measure around 4,000 ohms of resistance. Replace the diverter motor if the meter measure infinite resistance.

Purchased our fridge brand new Model number LFD22786 French doors, freezer below, stainless steel. In 7 weeks the freezer began to warm up, by eight weeks it completely quit and so did the refrigerator. We called LGs service dept and they sent a repairman out after waiting a week. The compressor was shot as well as the control board. He had to order parts. Parts were on back order. They didnt call to tell me this. I had to call the repair company to get a service number to call LG directly. They told me the parts were back ordered and wouldnt be in for another 4 weeks...or longer. They were going to put in a request that the fridge be exchanged. So the request sat in que waiting for someone to look at it. It is still sitting there. I have to wait again/still another three days before I can call them back and check on the status of the order. I am now three and a half weeks without a refrigerator and holding. I will NEVER buy another LG product (did I mention these suckers are EXPENSIVE?) and I will NEVER recommend them. They have proven that as long as they have our money, life is definitely good for them...not so good for the consumers who trusted them to have a good product.

Purchased a LG 1.5 ft.³ smart inverter microwave oven in August 2019. Three weeks later the unit quit heating. I called LG customer support and was eventually told the magnetron was defective. I was told I could send the microwave back to LG and they would replace me with a brand new one. Not wanting to wait, I decided to return the microwave to Home Depot where it was purchased and was given a full refund. Because Home Depot‘s return policy includes a 90 day exchange or refund, I decided to purchase a different brand. The moral to this story is don’t wait on LG to refund, replace, or repair your appliance if it is newer than three months. Take it back to the store you bought it from instead. Far less stressful.

Bought this machine in 2011 from Conns. We never had a problem, but the only thing was where the bleach dispenser it started rusting and I would just clean it. I did buy warranty, but before it expired I called to tell them about the rust. Conns said that is a manufacture problem, they only repair. So I didnt renew it. Now the tub makes horrible noise when washing rinsing. And clothes comes out soggy. I called LG yesterday, I thought maybe they could do the Smart Diagnostic and let me know what machine needs. They said if they did the diagnostic it would mess up the machine?? For them to send a Tech out it will cost $414 with one year maintenance or $302 for 60 day warranty. So disappointed, I might as well go buy a new one.

We paid a fortune for this washer. It is an LG Wave Force True Balance top load. As another consumer stated, you cannot wash a small or a very large load without the UE code showing on the display. The machine constantly tries to balance itself. To me, 1 or 2 things is a small load. Ive washed 10-12 articles of clothing and I still get a UE. I go in readjust the load, press start. 10 minutes later I get UE again. It takes me 2 hours to wash a load of clothes. The repairman came out twice. We had a discussion over the small load issue. So now my unfortunate solution has been to change to a slower spin speed (which often does not work either) or to wash pants, shirts, towels and under garments all together so I can come up with a load size that the machine will take. Very poor design. I will never buy an LG washer again. It was a waste of money.

LG LRE3023ST - At one year and 5 days the glass top broke, we did not drop anything on it and LG sent their service people to look at it. Their service people verified that it should not have broken, yet they refused to pay so we paid $500 for a new top. Today at 2 and a half years old, the stove is unrepairable. Service estimate was $800+ and its not worth fixing. My last stove lasted for 30 years! Absolute junk and LG will not do anything about it. I called today to see and was only told its out of warranty so its my problem. I will NEVER buy LG anything again.

Bought an LG French door refrigerator in June of 2016 and by May 2019 the refrigerator stopped keeping cool or frozen. Was never warned about the huge problems that the linear compressors have and that LG refrigerators only lasting 36 months. After spending 1400.00 and having it last not even 3 yrs is ridiculous!!! Nobody would even come to fix it because it would cost more than its worth we were told and would continue to be defective. So out of alot of money with bad LG product and had to purchase new one but never again will buy LG.... went with GE....

My 14 month old 26 cu foot LG refrigerator completely died on 4/19. LG ONLY allows their service companies and THEIR parts for repair. 1st attempt at repair did not work. Now they tell me it will be 5/15 to get the needed part and sorry for my inconvenience. I spent the last 3 days on the phone with management and although I have been told theyd replace the unit, they have not. I have been told 3 times now that Id get a call back within 24 hrs and never have. They are totally giving me the runaround and flat out lies.I have been without a fridge for 14 days now... with several children. No milk, no cheese, etc. It is a nightmare. If I had known the horrible customer service issues, Id have just gone out and bought a different brand fridge weeks ago. I guess Im a sucker for believing that the company might actually want to provide a satisfactory customer experience. Not being on hold for 45 min while a recording repeatedly chimes your time is valuable to us.

I purchased an LG refrigerator. I received it on October 9th 2020. By October 26, 2020 I was already calling LG because the refrigerator was no longer working. LG sent out 3 different technicians who gave me different reports with issues with the refrigerator the compressor, the panel and issues inside of the refrigerator. I was unhappy with the product and asked LG if I could get a new refrigerator or a refund because I did not feel comfortable accepting LG to repair a product I only had for 17 days. After going back and forth and speaking to one supervisor Cecilia I was told that I needed to submit of purchase for the refrigerator to an email they provided and that someone from the refund department would contact me within 5 days.I never received a call so I called them in which a customer service representative told me my claim was denied and he couldn’t give me a reason why. I called back on Monday November 30th. Asked to speak with a supervisor. She refused to give me her name. She transferred me to the refund dept. They then informed me that they never denied my claim because the customer service dept never submitted my claim. They put in their notes that I needed to accept the repair. It is now December 1, 2020. I still do not have a refrigerator. I have 4 small children and I have to buy food everything to cook for them. This is unacceptable and the worse customer service I have received.

My french door refrigerator Model #LMXS30776S was purchased in May 2015 and in July it started to make a terrible noise and I called LG and they said most likely there was ice on the fan. A few weeks later it started turning off and I would have to restart it. I called LG and they said I needed to get a technician to look into it. I had someone come out who said I needed new sensors and a new evaporator cover and it would take 3 days to get the parts in. 4 days later I called and they told me the parts are not available and I had to call LG directly to get the parts.I called LG. They quickly set me up with a $300 extended warranty repair plan and set up a technician to come out. This guy also said I needed new sensors and fans. One week later, they could not get the parts and said they were not available. The warranty company refunded my money minus $100, saying that parts were not available. Based on CA Civil Code Section 1793.03, parts must be made available within 7 years of any major appliance. I just spoke to a supervisor in the corporate office who after 30 minutes on hold said that the parts are available and she is transferring me back to the warranty repair company to get set back up on the plan. LG has been incredibly awful with this entire situation and I have heard from their own technicians that they rarely honor a warranty even within the first year and said to never purchase an LG appliance. I agree.

LG Range LRE30453St/01 - Stove is 2-1/2 years old. Needed a Board, took 6 weeks, nationwide all facilities were out of stock. Then needed a heater element. The ACCESS panel for the heater element was never cut out on the stove, so this was very time consuming to cut myself. Customer service would not help me with any of these expenses and inconveniences. The wire on heater element runs way too close to back of stove and they are not insulated. How this passed UL I will never know. The product is poorly built, difficult to work on, and possibly dangerous. My formal complaint was issued with them, case # **. I was told I could not be helped by them in anyway whatsoever.

The front left element of my induction range has stopped heating. The indicator light turns on, but the pot never heats up. It also doesnt recognize when a pot is NOT on the element like the other elements do. I tried unplugging the unit and plugging it back in but it didnt work. This range is over $2000 and has been in use for less than a year. Unfortunately, I purchased it barely over a year ago - a couple months before moving into my new house - which means that that warranty has just barely expired last month. I bought a whole set of LG kitchen appliances for the new house and 3 of the 4 have had problems so far (fridge compressor went out a month ago, microwave plate broke in half randomly while cooking 6 months ago).

The LG microwave we purchased went out on us after we cooked the first potato. We had the LG microwave no longer than 2 weeks and had troubles. After working with LG for almost a month to have them fix the microwave LG blames A&E and A&E says there is nothing they can do without LGs approval. This went on numerous times and 3 appointments with the tech. so no microwave for Thanksgiving. Now No microwave for Christmas. Warning for whom is interested in this product that buyer beware! Our Sears Technician said that this microwave seems to go out quickly. I am a General contractor and have been building homes for over 19 years. This has been the worst experience I have ever had. 4 months after purchase of this LG Top Load washer the basket bangs, slams, smashes like crazy. Have to shut it down each time. Will not level no matter what I have tried. Leveled all legs, machine etc. Tried spreading cloths around. Big loads, small, loads everything but the basket feels as if its busted and floating. I tried calling LG, Sears, Kenmore etc. Of course everyone states that its not warranted or under any type of recall. I paid about $1,000.00 for this plus $900 for the drier. I am forced to purchase another new one as I was completely scammed with this LG Top Load washer Inverter Direct Drive TrueBalance junk. Will never again purchase anything made by Sears, Kenmore or LG. Notice the big letters 10 YEAR WARRANTY!!! Another consumer marketing LG scam.

1st I contacted LG and because my dryer was purchased in Nov 2014, it was out of warranty. I was provided a schismatic to properly identify the part I needed (A255 - see exploded view of page 49). I was also required to work with an authorized parts distributor near me (California). I initiated my order the 1st week of August and got 2 incorrect parts because LG Parts Department does not label their items correctly!! The authorized dealer was apologetic and I was given a full refund. So next I called LG directly and they too send me 2 different incorrect parts. After several weeks of calling and arguing to speak to a US based representative, I got Erica ** in Executive Services who was unhelpful, rude, and downright wrong in her understanding of the entire situation. Now what? I am now being told I have to buy the entire TOP of my dryer to fix the plastic hinge that broke on my steam compartment. So why does LG make such a piece of crap that needs to have replacement parts within 2.5 years of purchase? I would actually appreciate an answer. Also, Why cant I buy a replacement part without dealing with stupid representatives? Buy the entire lid? REALLY?So I would like a rep to contact me and ship me A255; that item is not a huge metal door hinge. It is a small piece of plastic!!! It goes into A260 which I was able to purchase without ANY ISSUES. The lovely Erica ** stated LG Corp has mislabeled page 49 and the part I was sent IS the correct part. How was I able to buy A260 (lid) and A255 be a part that is not purchasable? Why is all this made of such cheap plastic? So Erica wants me to replace the entire lid of my dryer... That is everything featured on page 49 section A210 for a ridiculous $150 AND I still have to install all that. Those parts arent even broken! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING LG. I never will again. They are horrible!!

I purchased an LG refrigerator with a pull-out freezer in 2016. I have purchased a lot of LG products and been fairly satisfied until now. At the beginning of the Global Pandemic the compressor on the fridge broke. I waited several weeks for someone to repair it. I had just done a fairly extensive grocery shop because we were headed into lockdown. I lost a lot of food and it was impossible to even purchase a small bar fridge or freezer - everything was out of stock. LGs customer service was horrible. They call you back in 3-5 business days with an appointment for a technician to come fix it. And you are waiting another week or more for that appointment - all with no fridge! I think I was 3 weeks without a working fridge. The fridge did get fixed but the technician didn’t protect my hardwood floors so I have about a dozen floorboards that got damaged and it took about a year to get that resolved. Well here we are Friday, Dec 17, 2021, and the compressor is shot again! I speak to their customer service and someone will call me back in 3-5 business days to book me a technician to fix it. Unreal. This will be the 3 rd compressor in a fridge not even 10 years old. I do not recommend LG. This LG fridge is complete garbage. In an age where we need to be mindful of adding more crap to our landfills, I think LG (and any other company that produces garbage products) should be held accountable ie a fine, for producing such crappy products. I did some research when the first compressor died and there are lots of people in my shoes. Buyer beware. And their customer service is worse! I will never ever buy LG again.

LG French Door Bottom Freezer Counter Depth Model LFC21776ST - Purchased this $2500+ refrigerator in March 2011. From the reviews, it seems we were lucky to have gone 3 years without a major issue. Our freezer stopped freezing this week and now the refrigerator has stopped altogether as well. We called our reliable appliance co. and they wouldnt touch the sealed unit for fear of voiding our manufacturers warranty of 7 years on parts. Contacted LG and were referred to Affordable Service Appliances in San Diego who were authorized reps for LG. Yelp reviews for this place were absolutely HORRIBLE but the rep came out and said we need a new compressor (in less than 60 seconds of looking at unit) and quoted $580 with LG picking up cost of parts needed. After reading all of these reviews, we are shopping for another refrigerator rather than wasting money on a short lived repair. Luckily we have ALL LG products (microwave, range & dishwasher) and are looking forward to them failing too. Buyer beware.... DO NOT BUY LG.... Remember they use to be Lucky Goldstar which was a low quality electronics company. Should have looked at reviews before purchasing a refrigerator with a linear drive compressor.

I have an LG front load. It does not have an option to add more water and there is never any extra water in it other than what is on the clothes. As a result I have to wet the clothes down before I start the cycle and do a “rinse and spin” at the end of a full wash as the “extra rinse” does not utilize enough water to justify the electricity being used but the rinse and spin seems to have residual water in the drum. Even with minimal soap and fabric softener or using vinegar in the mid cycle the clothes still come out with a chemical smell to them. Yes I clean the machine regularly as it also has a problem with getting smelly quickly. Had to replace the sensor that creates the spin at year 6 but DIY as this is such a common problem and instructions found easily on the internet.

I almost bought an LG refrigerator a week ago UNTIL I read the reviews. I had the same poor experience with the LG washer and dryer. Problems within a month, customer service is poor and whatever the problem they say it must be the leveling and nothing is really covered under warranty that may be needed. Then they have the nerve to try to sell an extended warranty combined at over $400; after paying $2600 for a washer and dryer I shouldnt need an extended warranty for the first 3 years of ownership. The products dont compare to Kenmore Elite or Whirlpool and the customer service is AWFUL. In this case, you dont get what you pay for.

It takes me a week to finish a load of laundry. I keep getting a UL code. The clothes do not come out clean. They come out more wrinkled after the washer. Not very pleased. Real waste of $3000.00. The compressor went out on this top end refrigerator (lglmxs 30776s/01, on sale for just under $2700 ) at 2 years and 2 months-the parts were under warranty. It took 6 weeks and 2 days to get it fixed, and many, many phone calls to LG! Their consumer service twice referred me to repair companies that could not come through (you had to use their referrals under warranty), and when they couldnt get the job done, you had to wait another 5 business days to let them respond, then you had to wait another few days for them to find a location of another repair shop. This was getting old so I got Home Depot (where I bought it)) involved to put pressure on them. Finally LG let me find my own repair shop and it was fixed! OVER 6 WEEKS LATER-a near $2700, 2 year old refrigerator, by the way the labor was $700. NEVER another LG product for me!!!

After diligently researching washers, including consulting Consumer Reports, I decided to purchase an LG Tromm washer. Approximately 6.5 years after the purchase, the washer broke, specifically the metal spindle completely cracked from the metal drum. I called an LG endorsed repairman who ordered a new metal drum. Three weeks later, the drum came in but was damaged. He returned it and ordered another one. Two weeks later, the wrong drum was received. Again, he called and verified the part and this time, it took four weeks to arrive. When he went to replace the drum, it wouldnt fit and when he called the company (tech support), they verified that the drum was not the original piece. They also told him (and this was in front of me) that the specific type is no longer manufactured and that my washer would need to be retrofitted to accommodate the new drum type. This would cost more than the washer! I called customer support at LG and was told that they do not accept complaints. I asked what was done when one was sent in and was told that they just collected the complaints. So now, I am left with a broken washer, a pedestal that only fits LG front loaders and no venue to voice my displeasure. I will never purchase from LG again!

Tried using baking soda and water. No luck. Salesman said, Just use the easy clean cycle and you’re good to go! Boy do I feel stupid! $1000.00 not well spent. Spent over $5500.00 for all new LG Appliances. Makes me question my purchases.

Only got 6 years out of my $1,000 fridge. While we were on vacation for a few days the fridge went from cold to hot. I was told by the repairman that the freon all leaked out (probably due to a pipe issue) quickly and the compressor blew warm air into the fridge for a few days (at least the compressor is working). He also said that the $ to get to the pipes to repair them doesnt makes sense to keep the fridge. Not buying LG again.

My refrigerator has been repaired as of this date. After the May 15, 2020 service the freezer worked but not completely. It would not freeze ice cream and with a couple of weeks stopped working again. The follow up repair which was 06/23/20 appears to have finally resolved the issues with this freezer/refrigerator not cooling and freezing properly. I must say it has been a frustrating few years since the original incident in 2018 thru 2020. LG has resolved the issue finally and I hope this products keep functioning properly. Overall I am satisfied with the last repair done around June 2020. I have not had any problems with the refrigerator since. The repairman was very nice I must say and the 2nd time he was out appears to have fixed the problem.

Shortly after having purchased my stove at a price tag of $1500.00, the control panel went. I replaced it on my dime. The oven emits heat so intense the paint is discolored and peeling near the vent from the oven. The other day I turned the oven on to preheat and went into another room when I heard a horrid noise from the kitchen. I returned to see smoke pouring from the oven and the breaker on my electric panel had popped (fortunately). All lights were flashing and I have not been able to contact LG service lines to report this and inquire into what on earth happened. I will never buy LG again as there are no service people in our city who will touch it. The one company who will service this product put the control panel in upside down when I replaced it and I had to have them make another house call to fix the mess. They are supposed to be trained LG service people. YEAH! I am still sitting here without a stove because I cannot connect with LG. They do not put you on hold, but via a recording tell you they are all busy and to call back. Click! GOODBYE LG...

The knobs of this range are beyond cheap. When using the super burner (right front knob), I turned it to the OFF position. I left the house shortly after and received a call from my family that they smelled gas. Went home of find, that the right front burner in off position did not have a flame, but left the gas on, thus filling my house with gas. When I call LG, they gave me the run around then said, since I purchased it from Best Buy, I had to call them to complain about the knobs. Now for the math, 5 knobs, 3 broke. By the way, one of the knobs that did not break had a metal strip around it, to reinforce the plastic. Husband works in quality and said it would have cost them around $1.00 per knob to put that little piece of metal on each knob. LG stand behind your stuff! And build more durable knobs to start! WILL NEVER BUY LG AGAIN.

Bought the top-loading Inverter Direct Drive about 3 years ago. This is the biggest POS appliance we have ever owned! Washer gets unbalanced with almost every load - no matter how small or large. It takes a LONG time to wash any load. The display may say that its a 52-minute load. Thats ONLY if you monitor it getting unbalanced or shutting off completely. It mostly gets unbalanced at 34 minutes remaining and at 11 minutes remaining. Unless you use the bulky setting, you get next to NO water in the tub. And the very WORST PART is that it has RUINED countless shirts, pants, and shorts. It will put dark, short streaks (stains) ON YOUR CLOTHES THAT YOU CANNOT GET OUT. We have washed the Maxine-stained items up to six times using a wide variety of stain removers and NOTHING works. We wound up throwing items away after this machine stained them. Now we turn everything inside out. We hope to be moving soon and will GLADLY leave this machine behind. What a HORRIBLE appliance!!!

This is a review of the LG customer service experience for a repair of an LFXS29626S French Door refrigerator. We woke up Christmas morning to find the 3yr old refrigerator was no longer cooling at all. Reviewing the warranty showed that the sealed system was still covered, so I placed a call to LG customer service. While the customer service phone rep was quite friendly/understanding and professional, thats where the enjoyable experience ended. Net-net is that after 4 months and 5 separate repair visits from 2 separate 3rd party repair shops, many phone calls, much lost time and spoiled food, the unit is still not functioning as expected. The unit was cooling properly after the 4th visit, but now the unit sounded like a leaf blower all the time. The final fix was more of a hack that only partially addressed the noise issue, but they say that it falls within spec tolerance.I called LG and requested escalation. Upon speaking to the escalation manager, I requested that they replace the unit since it was not actually fixed. She was very firm that the company had a process that must be followed and that they would not replace the unit. They offered a minimal reimbursement for the spoiled food, which would nowhere near cover all that we had lost. Either way, we have not received any reimbursement. At this point were going to put the unit in the garage and purchase another refrigerator - something other than LG. The thing that the company (especially the escalation manager) didnt seem to grasp was the concept of total customer value. Not only will this experience keep me from buying LG refrigerators in the future, but since they also sell everything from washers/dryers, to TVs, to cell phones, I will look elsewhere for many products. The marginal cost for them to simply replace the refrigerator would probably have been around $600, but instead they likely spent more than twice that on parts and 3rd party repair services. When you add that to the future lost revenue it was simply a bad business decision that could have been properly remedied in order to keep an affluent customer.

I purchased an LG refrigerator from Costco... Its a piece of junk and failed after 1 1/2 years. Costcos web page claims if you buy a major appliance from them it will have a two year warranty. However, neither LG or Costco and their claimed concierge service are truthful. Its just not the case. I have been trying to get this resolved for two weeks. My family has no refrigerator... thus no cold food. It was planned for the rest of my family to come for Christmas. Now that is not going to happen as I have no way to preserve food and prepare it. Costco and LG have ruined the Christmas for my family. Never buy an LG appliance as they do not support it. Dont believe Costco...their two year plan and concierge service is a joke. I literally have been on hold with both of these companies for at a minimum of six hours and gotten nowhere. This is the worst product support I have ever had in my life...and I am no spring chicken.

The fridge was not cooling and my food was getting spoiled. I called LG and they sent the local technician three times. They also sent different types of parts. Then, the local technician tried to fix it, but they couldnt. Finally, I was told they couldn’t do it and LG was going to replace the refrigerator. I called LG and they told me that they would have to send their own technician. That took almost two months and finally, the LG technician came to my house and changed a part.At that period, I lost a lot of food and the medications of my mom and my son. I bought every day from the store so I lost almost $1,500. I followed up with LG and they told me they were going to compensate me for 1,500. After the refrigerator was fixed, they called me and told me they can pay only $250 reimbursements food loss. Right now, the refrigerator is working but my main concern is who’s going to pay for my loss. I have too many problems and at the same time, I got a refrigerator problem. It’s too much headache.

It worked for a few days after that and now stopped again. It doesnt clean clothes all that well & sometimes doesnt spin the water out enough. The dryer makes thumping noises when it spins and doesnt always dry the clothes well. Sometimes I have to leave the clothes overnight on chairs to finish drying. I purchased an LG refrigerator in 2012 and it worked until the compressor died in 2019. The compressor was under warranty and LG agreed to provide a replacement at no cost, I just had to pay to install it. The service tech called LG and was instructed to install a universal compressor, which is not an exact replacement. He did but soon found that the compressor was incompatible with the electronics board on my fridge and would not work. LG want $240 for a board that will work with the substitute compressor. I called LG and they were inflexible. From my perspective, they installed a compressor that was not compatible with my fridge. Why should I have to pay $240 to replace a perfectly working electronics board to make their substitute part work? It cost less than $10 to manufacture an electronics board. Installing a substitute part that requires the purchase of a $240 board is an attempt to turn a loss (providing a compressor for free) into a profit (sale of an over-priced board).

We purchased a new LG French Door refrigerator on 02/09/2017 from RC Willy in Rocklin, California. Since that time, we have had a new compressor replaced twice and are now waiting for another service call. During our last compressor replacement on 02/03/2020, the service technician asked us why are you having this replaced since its just going to break again? He said this is a continuing problem and will never be reliable/fixed. Well, its happened again and we are now waiting for another service appointment. Interesting, though, that when my husband mentioned to the LG service representative what our last service technician had said, we now have a different company coming and we live in a smaller community. When we called the LG phone number at 800/243-000, they stressed the Covid-19 situation and keeping their employees safe. What about their customers who are staying home with now rotted food? Because of the three failed compressors, we have lost a large amount of food equalling $$$$. When we asked about LG replacing our unit with a new unit that will keep our food cold, we were told that they can only send out a service technician and have it repaired (again and again and again). Very expensive fridge, 6 months old, not working. Under one-year manufacturers warranty. LG says they are not going to honor the warranty because it was an open box item. Several calls later, they say will fix it once they get the proof of purchase. I email proof via the portal they email me. I get a confirmation. Nothing happens. I call back. Kim says that I have refused to send proof of purchase. We argue at length. Finally, she acknowledges that she has it and says she will have to refer me to the extended warranty person. I explain that it is NOT an extended warranty; it is the original warranty. She next tells me there are no authorized LG repair services near me so she cannot schedule an appointment. But I should call a company over an hour drive- and a toll bridge- away. She finally gives me the number of a closer place. I ask for some sort of authorization for the warranty. She tells me to just call them. The phone number is no good. I find the real number, call them, and they say LG has to authorize the repair. I call LG back and ask to speak to someone in the US. After stalling me for 10 minutes, she gives me a number to call. It is out of service.

I ignored the reviews that said the front load washer leaks. LG will not cover the leaking door in the WARRANTY. It’s a handsome machine, looks great, washes well - but have a rag, sponge, or mop handy because the DOOR LEAKS. MY WASHER IS 6 months old. We have done around 8 loads of wash. We are a couple with no children yet, so we dry clean most of our clothing and have little to wash. The first time it leaked I thought it was a fluke. The second time I ignored it. This machine is pricey and for the money, you should get a PERFECT MACHINE! I am warning people to read reviews then ask a few sales people if the door leaks and they will tell you, YES IT LEAKS. IF THEY SAY IT DOESNT, GET IT IN WRITING! Until LG deals with this problem, they shouldnt be allowed to sell this washer. The puddle gets bigger with each load. I wonder when the floor will be covered with water. We clean the door, the rubber gasket and dont pack clothes into it. Our other front load washer by a different manufacturer does not leak and we have had that pair at our summer house for eight years with no problems. Dont waste $1000 Dollars on a machine that leaks because Home Depot and LG will not help you. LIFE’S GOOD WHEN YOU PAY FOR SOMETHING AND IT WORKS!

I bought this dishwasher in January 2015 and it has been a nightmare since I have had it. While under warranty LG had 5 different people out to fix it. I have not been able to use this dishwasher more than able to use it. I paid approximately $800.00 for this dishwasher and the one I had when I lived at an apartment was 100x better than this. Didnt clean well... ALWAYS problems with it. LG would not replace, kept fixing issues with it. I had to have the motor replaced, door replaced, dish soap dispenser replaced 2x, steam vent replaced, hoses replaced, seals replaced and it has been a lemon since day one. Again, last night after having yet another repairman out and only repaired about a couple of weeks ago, it breaks again and wont even come on. Seriously, what a piece of junk. Will never purchase another LG product again. Went out this morning and purchased another dishwasher. The LG is now out of warranty. Oh, and also one of the repairman told me that LG should just replace it and guess what, never heard from that repairman again. They said his work was not up to par... On 3/5/16 while cooking a potato in my microwave, the unit started on fire. The microwave shut off and I needed to wait for the fire to burn out before opening the door. It was obvious the unit was irreparable. I contacted LG Customer Service in 3/7/16. At first, they tried to tell me I was to blame. Misuse of an appliance because I placed the potato on a paper towel. The manual states a paper towel, paper napkin, paper plate are ALL acceptable. The CSR refused to believe me until she read it herself. Finally, she agreed I was NOT at fault and told me someone would be in touch with me within the next 10 business days. I uploaded photos of the damage as requested. 10 days later a rep from LG Property and Liability contacted me. Please upload more photos, which I did. Was there any other damage? No. Any loss of life due to the fire? No. Okay, well theres nothing I can do. Youll have to go back to Customer Service. Now Im back to where I started again facing questions about misuse because of the paper towel. I was advised I would need to pay for an LG technician to come to my house to determine if it was repairable or a total loss. I didnt think I should be expected to pay for the technician since I already knew its a total loss and the photos support that. I asked for a manager. Theresa got on the line and told me the same thing except she said I would need the microwave receipt to show the technician. I explained this microwave along with a refrigerator and stove were purchased by the former homeowner just prior to my purchasing the home 3 years ago, so I did not have the receipt. Well, there is NOTHING I can do for you. Youre not the original owner. So after their appliance starts a fire, and 3 weeks of answering their questions, uploading photos, waiting for their assistance, I was advised Im on my own. They will do nothing for me.

I purchased a top of the line three thousand dollar plus refrigerator in February 2014. The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. All of the lights work and all of the lights, indicator lights on the door panel work as well. I was away for the day and arrived home late in the evening so I did not go into or look at the refrigerator. The following morning, I noticed water dripping from the water and ice dispenser only to realize that everything in the refrigerator and the freezer defrosted and reach temperatures causing everything to spoil. I immediately contacted LG and they ran an over the phone diagnostic only to tell me that the unit was not operating properly. I could have told them that. When I said that I live in Arizona in a rural area and need emergency assistance, they stated they could not get anyone out to be for the next 4 to 5 days. How am I supposed to live without a refrigerator? They also told me that they hold no responsibility for all of the ruined food. This unit is still under warranty but that does help my situation as their commitment to service in unacceptable. When I went to purchase this top of the line unit, I was told by some folks not to buy an LG refrigerator as two separate folks stated they own LG fridge and have had nothing but problems. When I researched the reviews on this fridge, it received high marks. Taking that into consideration and the fact that the two folks who had problems with their units had them for over two years, I figured that LG made the necessary improvements to their refrigerator so I went ahead with the purchase. In summary: I will never again buy any LG product. I will never recommend an LG product and I will inform whom ever I know to stay away from LG no matter what the reviews state as I am not confident that they are authentic.

Purchased LG French Door M/N LMXS30776S/03 during Best Buy Labor Day sale September 2016. Purchased Geek Squad coverage, because, hey $4k fridge, that would suck. Immediately noticed $5/month drop in electric bill. Great start! March 2017 I start hearing noises that werent there for the 1st 6 months. Call up Geek Squad, they send someone out immediately. They diagnose problem as compressor, which they are not allowed to touch. Call up LG. It takes me 5 calls over 2 weeks to get a technician to come out. April 2017 tech diagnoses that the noise is within normal range, no fix available. Early August my daughter starts complaining about warm cheese in her sandwiches. No one else complains in the house. Late August I learn that I had sent my daughter to school with spoiled milk (I informed her before she drank it). Thought maybe it might have been older milk, but I was pretty sure it was fresh. 2nd Monday Sept. I touch a Gatorade that had been frozen and moved to fridge door and it is warm to touch. I take an instant read thermometer and plunge it into various food and drink and measure temperatures of 57, 57, and 51 (drawer) deg. F. Call LG. Am told it will be 3-5 days before I am recontacted by an LG tech. Sept 12. Call Geek Squad and the next day I have someone out who diagnoses that the compressor is not working. Buy ice cream because I thought the freezer was working as it frozen some leftovers on Monday. Alas, the ice cream is pretty much just below melting point. Sept. 13, 2017: Waiting to hear back from both LG and Geek Squad to see what path to take. Geek Squad has been incredibly responsive. LG, not so much.

I bought my LG fridge in 2017 and my wife and I woke up to the dreaded compressor failure on it this Sat morning. After reading the reviews on here we were prepared for a horrible experience and to have to go without a fridge/freezer for months with two young kiddos!! I was ready to swear off LG just as other reviewers on here, but here is the abbreviated details of what happened. * Called customer service on Sat. (Was nice to them when I called). * Was told there was an open time slot for this Monday (today) for tech to take a look. * My expectation based on reviews here was tech would show up; explain it would be a month for the part to come in and uff.... * Tech showed up today. Michael who works for LG direct service. He not only had a compressor on him to replace the default one but had all the tools to get it done today. He was very professional and and explained to me contrary to other reviews on here that LG has upgraded and improved their software and the compressors so hopefully this will not happen again. Only took him about 90min to get it all fixed as he knew his stuff! * Fridge is fixed and running only two days after I first called customer service on a weekend at no cost on labor or parts. I don't write many reviews on anything but feel that this was deserving as I'm sure others had valid unpleasant experiences, but mine was a very positive one. If anyone else has this issues don't hit the panic button based on other's reviews. I don't know if it helped the cause but I was very calm and understanding when I called them to explain the problem as well. Products are going to have issues but I will judge a company based on how they deal with those problems and LG handled this very professional and I am very satisfied. Hopefully this repair holds up but if not if they deal with it the same way this one went they will retain me as a customer on future purchases. I do really like the fridge as well so 5 stars both for the fridge as well as the service.

Refrigerator model LMX 28988ST - The manual for the appliance states that all sealed components are covered by a 7 year warranty for parts. Our freezer failed and on calling LG, we were required to pay $195 under their One Price program for all parts & labour associated with the service call. The technician deemed that the part was not repairable and that the entire appliance has to be replaced. LG now claims that the paperwork side of this takes 10 business days to resolve and we will only get a Prorated value of the appliance. To me, its simple - a part covered by warranty must be repaired, replaced, or the consumer otherwise kept whole. One thing is certain - I may be forced into a replacement LG unit, but is the last LG product of any kind I will ever buy.

Our dishwasher got some problem 2 months ago. We called for help. Some technician came and changed motherboard without identifying the actual problem. We complaint again then they asked us to take the dishwasher for repair to workshop on 30th June,16 but until today they have not returned the machine yet. We called few times to LG and Best Denki but they told us waiting for parts and 2 weeks ago they said parts has come but until today dishwasher is not being delivered. Very disappointed with services. My wife having tough time since last 2 months without dishwasher.

PSA: DO NOT buy an LG refrigerator. Both they, and the service company they contract with, A&E are absolutely horrible. Back story: I purchased an LG fridge 2.5 years ago to replace an aging one which was keeping food in the 56º range. The new fridge worked fine with the exception of the black satin stainless finish on it which had started peeling off. About a month ago I called to report that. They sent out a service tech who said it was a manufacturers defect and it was covered. They would replace the doors in approximately two weeks.About a week after that, the fridge quit working. I checked all the stuff a non technical person like myself knows to check: had the door been left open; was the air intake clogged. Nope and nope. I busted out the manual. They said to call LG if it was failing to cool so I got on the horn with their service. Shortly into the phone call, the customer service person says, touch the inside of the fridge, does it have any condensation on it? It did not. He told me it was the compressor and promptly scheduled a service call which was about a week out. So I threw out stuff which would perish soon, got freezer stuff to my friends and cleaned the fridge so that it would not get stanky sitting closed up without power. The tech shows up as scheduled, confirms it is the compressor and also the motherboard and orders parts. The parts arrive a few days later, they are the wrong parts. We are now a week and a half in. He blames it on LG (who knows if it was LG or A&E at this point) and says he is going to order the parts and they will be overnighted. Had this been the case they would have arrived on a Thursday, come the next Tuesday, there are still no parts, so we call again. Now the story is that they will be ordering the parts and they will be here tomorrow. LG ships the parts to the consumers home, and A&E will not schedule until the parts arrive so first you get to wait for the parts, then you get to wait for them to have availability in their schedule. The parts arrive, three days later they schedule the tech yet again. They call the day that the repair is to be scheduled and say that the tech called in that day and they will need to reschedule. At this point another friend gets on the horn and basically tells them, oh hell no! and they miraculously find someone from Cape Girardeau and send him up. The guy puts the parts in, says to leave the fridge for 24 hours before putting anything into it. This was yesterday. Wake up this morning and the fridge is yet again a balmy 65º.Call LG AGAIN .... and A&E is closed and wont be able to schedule anything until Monday. Which will then of course be another service call scheduled days out, another tech coming out saying, yes the fridge is not working, ordering additional parts, waiting for parts, waiting to schedule said parts to be told that the fridge cannot be repaired. The fridge is under manufacturers warranty. The failed compressor has a 10 year warranty. I have the extended 5 year store warranty. There are so many 1 ⭐️ reviews on the LG fridge and A&E with people who are having the exact same issues as I am with both companies on Consumer Affairs, this entire debacle is being repeated all over the place. We are now three weeks into this, the doors never did arrive, the fridge still doesnt work and we are waiting on service yet again. If I can save any of you the headache, I wanted to put this out there.

Machine purchased at Home Depot in 2011. Year 3 rust appeared where around the bleach dispenser. If you get the one year service plan be careful as when your machine hits 5 years, no more service! Do not buy! Stick with Kenmore!!! If I could travel all 50 states and warn people about this crappy machine I would... Horrible customer service. They also do not come out to repair right away, you have to do various checks on the washer for them to actually come out. They want to know whats wrong or what did you do? What was wrong was I tried to wash a load of laundry and the machine did not work! I will never again buy LG!

Updated on 08/12/2019: I reported this product problem previously and a week later, received a response from LG saying they would do something about it. I sent the info next day and 4 days later they responded that they cant find the number. I respond again same day, now three more days go by. They still cant find the number so I send model and serial number again (from the sticker inside refrig). And I added that this is a refrigerator, our food is spoiling, please call me (and gave my number) as if it was your familys food. FIVE days more, another message, We still cant find the number. It took me 6 minutes to find out the first three digits of my model number meant LG Electronics. Youd think two weeks would be enough to find the rest of the number. I would send a picture of the product label if there was a way to do that. If they really wanted to fix this problem, they could have called me and we would be this far in 10 minutes, not two weeks. I got sick last night, and it was probably spoiled food. Im 76 with a heart condition. There are so many facts to give here that it sounds like Im ranting instead of just giving the details. Maybe thats their strategy. Take the money, stall and make excuses until they stop. But I wont. I was using private mail so they could work fast and do their job. For some reason, some department at LG is just as bad as Sears. I know how to broadcast that.Original Review: $2200 LG made refrigerator completely fails after 18 months. Stops cooling/spoils food and almost new. Technician tells me its a known problem affecting 1000s of products. This is a brand I had trusted. Am told I need a board and possibly a compressor. $1000. I will ask them to fix it and will spread the word on what they do.

Updated on 01/08/2019: After two failures and unsuccessful repairs, Asurion
Updated on 01/08/2019: After two failures and unsuccessful repairs, Asurion sent another repair company over. The repairman walked into the house and said I know what the problem is already as he heard the compressor groaning in the kitchen. After conferring with his boss over the phone, I was informed that they no longer will do repairs on LG products because LG does not pay their invoice. So not only does Home Depot continue to sell this junk, but the repair shops that would handle the extended warranty repairs will not work on LG. A couple of weeks later, Asurion (out of the blue) called and said that a reimbursement check was being sent. Could that be due to the class action lawsuit recently filed nationwide against LG?? So we got the check, disposed of the LG, and bought a KitchenAid that sits quietly in the kitchen, keeping things cool and keeping us composed. OH, and never a word from LG through any of this business.Original Review: Two Compressors in Two Months...LG is junk: We purchased this LG from Home Depot in December of 2016. It had great features, was very attractive, and large capacity. In November, 2017 we returned home to find the kitchen flooded and the fridge was warm. We called the Home Depot warranty company and a repairman came out two days later. They didnt have local repairmen so he came from 60 miles away btw. He said it was the compressor and he said he replaces LG compressors on a regular basis. Ultimately it took him 3 weeks to obtain one due to LG being out of stock on compressors. He installed it and the warranty company gave us a food reimbursement check. Two days later, the same thing happened! Spoiled food. Flood. Repairman showed up again and repeated the slow ordering process. Home Depot sent over a small dorm fridge just in time for Thanksgiving. Now the compressor is again making noises. LG is totally unresponsive to this; they would rather the repairmen make the repairs for them, that they are too cheap to do upon manufacture.

A year later the front water dispenser didnt shut off. Called again, there are only two of us in the house so the refrigerator is lightly used, we should not have any problems in the first 2 years. Again I called LG and they would not do anything for me. Basically once they got my money they could care less about their machine and their name. I would never, I mean never buy any LG again, they produce junk for a high price.

I purchased 4 of the LG Studio line for my new kitchen. Gas Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher, and refrigerator. 1st use of Dishwasher and it did not clean. Then the items I left in for the next wash, grew BLACK MOLD. There is always moisture in the dishwasher, even day after running it, and I have to leave the door ajar to help it dry. If I shut the door, BLACK MOLD grows. The microwave turntable rattles so loud it can be heard over the normal microwave sounds. The gas stove is often unresponsive. The buttons on the front do not always work and I have had to pull it out from the wall to unplug it and plug it back in to get them to work. It is very random and I have not been able to figure out a pattern of use that causes it to malfunction.I put in 3 service requests to have these repaired. Im entering the 3rd month and they STILL have not been to my home. LG sent this to a 3rd party Vendor AE FACTORY. They have left partial emails telling me to call them and then they do NOT answer their phone. I have spent even more time contacting LG Customer Service, who has done nothing to help. They have no control over their 3rd party repair vendors, and no supervisor will ever get on the phone or call me back. DO yourself a favor, go with a different brand!

Since the very first time I used this machine I have been so unhappy. I use the he products as specified in the user manual. My clothes come out of the wash dirty smell like mold. I sometimes have to wash some of the clothes by hand just to try to get my clothes clean. When I do wash my clothes by hand I see dirty residue comes from the clothes that I used took out of my high efficiency, expensive brand new washer. All my towels smell moldy. It makes me mad that I gave up an old top load washer machine to try to save some money and to keep up with the times. Now Im paying the price. I had a technician come to my house and he states that there was nothing wrong with the machine. Obviously there is if Im washing my clothes by hand!!! I have read that there are mold issues with this machine. Now my question is, is this mold a danger to my family? Is it going to ruin my expensive washer machine? What is LG going to do for their customers? Im not saving money since I have to wash my clothes several times. I have to buy products to wash the machine itself. I had to go and buy brand new towels because I do not want my family drying themselves with moldy smelling towels, but even that is not working because the new towels are already starting to smell like mold. I am SO disappointed and SO mad that I used my hard earned money on this piece of crap washer machine!!!!!

I purchased an LG refrigerator, double oven, dishwasher, cooktop, and built-in microwave from Home Depot in September 2010 (Along with all new cabinets, total spending was $30K; LG appliance spending was $5k.) After six months, the icemaker stopped producing ice; we called LG, and they replaced the icemaker promptly and at no additional cost. Six months later, the ice cube production started to slow; another six months passed, and ice production stopped. We called LG who directed us to an authorized service provider. The service provider came to the house, checked a few items, lowered the temperature, and turned off the energy saver button. I was charged $127.00. A month later, the service provider came back because the problem wasnt resolved and installed a new icemaker and circuit board. Problem is still not resolved. I called LG to make them aware of the continued failures of the service provider, and they set up a service call for me with their guy. Turns out, he wasnt their guy, and he wanted another $60.00. The problem had not been resolved, and I refused to pay. So, I called LG again while their guy was here (5th call in 2 months). I was once again told by LG it wasnt their problem, that I needed to pay the new service provider, and if I had any continued problems, contact either service provider (neither of which seems to be able to resolve the problem) and deal with them. Ive never been treated so callously and have sworn off LG forever. Please dont buy LG

Bought a brand new LG refrigerator. Loaded it up with food. The next day freezer food was soft and food in the fridge was all rotten. Tried to save the freezer food and turned the freezer to maximum cooling. The next day all the food was rotten and the whole house smelled like garbage. Best Buy switched the refrigerator but said to call LG to reimburse for the cost of food. LG was very unapologetic. Service is very poor. I called three times and was put on long holds to wait to talk to the supervisors. The customer care refused to pay for the cost of food. I had easily $400 worth of food in there. LG hung up the phone on me twice. I am regretting buying this refrigerator.

My LG refrigerator was 16 months old when the compressor went the evening before Thanksgiving, 2019. (This was a known common problem and the compressor was known by LG to be defective.) Even with that, 2 months for them to finally approve a refund. I can honestly tell you that LG has absolutely no concern whatsoever for the hardship or inconvenience that they actually cause and prolong for their paying customers. It was an absolute nightmare getting them to send a service company out in a timely manner. And while they knew that the compressor in this particular model was faulty, they would not under any conditions replace or refund for the refrigerator without having 2-3 separate repair companies attempt to fix the appliance. Four separate times I had to wait 1-2 weeks for a possible repair or replacement of the compressor which was never successful. I had to submit a request for refund twice. It was finally approved by LG on the 2nd attempt, but it still took another 3 weeks for them to process and send an approval to Costco for reimbursement. During this whole 2 month process, I spoke to LG supervisors approximately 9 or 10 separate times only to be told something different almost every single time. I was lied to, hung up on, promised multiple times that a manager would call me (but never once did anyone ever call), I was given mis-information or different mis-information all most every time I spoke with someone. They was very condescending, rude, dismissive, argumentative and could not have cared less that my family had to go without a refrigerator all through the holidays and even the start of the new year. They never once apologized or attempted to fast track anything about the process or help me get it resolved in a timely manner. I found the whole experience completely despicable. I even emailed the CEO and VP of customer service with no response or help whatsoever. By far, this is the worst service or warranty experience of my 61 years of life. Life is NOT Good with LG!!!! What a joke of a company. Save yourself by NOT buying LG products!!!!

LG Waveforce washer is constantly off balance. The manual will tell you that you cannot do a small load. Believe them!! Unless you are willing to put 2 sheets in with your delicates, and that sometimes doesnt work, it is impossible to wash a small load. It takes hours to complete a wash load due to the off balance signal. You actually have to babysit the washer. I often take the wash out still heavily wet to hang on a line. We have a LG4801CW top loader washing machine that has had a slow leak we just discovered, as there was never water visible on the side or front of washer to indicate leaking. However, overtime water has been leaking out of the back of the tub as far as a plumber can tell going behind the washer and under our trim and tiles/sub floor. After a year and a half of having the washer we noticed two of our tiles had cracked by the washer. When my husband pulled up the tiles, we found mold and water in the sub floor around the washer and more cracked tiles hiding behind the washer. We have contacted LG and they wanted to charge us to come fix THEIR FAULTY PRODUCT that was 1.5 years old because it was no longer under warranty. Pretty sad when they dont stand by a product that is 1.5 years old. They were supposedly reviewing our case and would get back to us in 3-5 days, yet have not and we have called them several times and it has been a lot longer than 5 business days. I feel like we are getting the runaround and Im sick of having a torn up house. Because of the damage to our flooring and since we have an open floor plan this has resulted in ~10,000k in flooring we have to tear up because we cant just replace one section. They no longer make our tile and we are out of extras. The plumber that came out said dont buy LG products as the design is too new and are very frequently faulty.

This appliance was expensive and the repairs to date have included failure on the insulation (overheating), error messages causing the machine to stop, a leak, and most recently the machine smelled of burning electrical and has now completely shut down. I purchased extended warranties to cover the repairs, but the inconveniences Ive experienced and the nature of the failures of this product are not justifiable for a dishwasher in this price range and of its age.

I really liked the looks of this dishwasher until I got it home. My biggest mistake was not returning it immediately. The third rack was a pain in the neck because you could not fit glasses in the middle rack. I removed it to solve that problem. The collapsing racks have proven to be a nightmare. They will not lock in and they keep collapsing when you load dishes and cups into the washer. They have proven to be a great disappointment. Sometimes you have to fight the soap dispenser to get it to close. Next time I am going back with Maytag.

Purchased LG fridge LFC22770 in 6-2014. Two months ago food began to defrost in freezer. Called their service. The touted built-in diagnostic signal did not transmit a code. Was given phone number, after a 45 min. wait, to a TV repair business. What a joke. This morning we smelled burning electrical odor. My husband removed back cover and sparks were shooting out and wires had already melted. Imagine if we had gone to work or been on vacation?! Total hazard. Could have easily ignited cabinets next to and above unit. What if this had happened while we were asleep! The nightmare of the repair or replacement still awaits us as this is Saturday.

We purchased a new LG french door refrigerator from Spencers in January, 2015. The 2 year full warranty was purchased at that time. The refrigerator compressor broke in May, 2018. The compressor was warranted but NOT the LABOR ($600). After researching, found there are tons of LG compressors going bad. LG should stand up and warranty their bad products when they know there is a problem. There is only 2 of us using this appliance and should not have happened. $2,500+ and this is what we get. I will never purchase another LG product!!!

Purchased a LG Refrigerator from Home Depot in July of 2012. Within probably a month, I had to call the company and have them come and service the freezer as it was completely frosted up. I did not find the person on the phone to be polite at all and pretty much implied that I had done something to make the freezer frost up. That problem was fixed and I have not had any further issues with the freezer. However, the plastic shelves are pretty much all broken as well as the plastic drawers. I called the company on two occasions to complain about this and once again I felt that the phone staff were very rude. I told them that all the shelves were broken so they sent me one shelf. Doesnt do me much good as they are all broken and some of the support for the shelves to sit on are also broken. I would never, ever, ever purchase a LG product again. Their support staff not very polite or helpful and the product is horrible.

We purchased an LG suite of appliances in 2009 from Home Depot. SS French door refrigerator, microwave, upgraded dishwasher and glass cooktop oven. Since that time, we have had 2 service calls on icemaker not working right - need to call again! Dishwasher had 3 calls and it still wont clean. We were reimbursed the cost of it after complaining. Microwave touch panel has had to be replaced and now its a guessing game if you can get cooktop eyes to come on, along with grease in between the two glass windows. Have three boxes of parts here waiting on the guy to come back and replace the touch panel on the oven and the glass. Thank goodness we bought the extended warranty. I am sure we will use it again before it expires in November. Not happy with LG and HD should be embarrassed to sell such inferior products. Next go round will be with neither and its a shame because HD is my local economy booster, but for what we paid, we didnt get what we deserved, which was a quality product that should last for years!

About 9 months after purchase, our front load LG washer from Home Depot began to leave oil streaks on our clothing. It has ruined my curtains as well. I called the customer service number and each time, someone answered with a heavy accent. They gave me instructions on how to rid myself of the problem. Nothing worked! Finally, when I called to have someone come out, they told me I was no longer under warranty. How is it that we can spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars on a product and the manufacturer can only stand behind it for 12 months? Am I supposed to replace my washer every 12 months? I guess so, if I purchased an LG!

LG WT1101CW Top load washer - I purchased this washer January of 2014. I read the reviews in consumer reports and that is how I came to purchase this washer. My issue with it is that I feel it has more control over me than I do over it. It uses less water and does not saturate the items and because it uses less water, when you add chlorine bleach it leave chlorine fade marks on white wash as well as a darker wash. This has happened many times and a lot of my items were ruined. I do not believe that Consumer Reports tested this issue on clothing. I have also had to rewash my clothing because the dirt just didnt come out. I currently have sent LG an email with regard to this issue. Today, I just purchased a Kenmore with an agitator and it has a water level that I can choose. Although it is 3.6 cf as opposed to 4.3 cf. submitted by serial number. CHLORINE BLEACH DISPERSEMENT AND WATER LEVEL IS THE ISSUE. I have gotten unbalance codes but machine works and is quiet but I want my laundry clean.

Purchased a LG French Door Refrigerator from Home Depot in 2011. Almost 6 years to the date of purchase the unit quit working. After calling LG they stated that the compressor was covered but not labor. Lg suggested two certified appliance repair resources in our area. First referral never returned our call. Second sent a service person out on a week. Technician stated that our unit was the cleanest unit he had ever seen but unfortunately the compressor was bad. Our out of pocket expense will be $600.01 for a refrigerator that is only 6 years old! Our previous refrigerator was 28 years old and cost 1/3 of the cost of this LG. Called LG to file a complaint with no satisfaction. In fact the LG Representative said LG could not help with any labor cost and that we should remember that the unit USA man made product and was not perfect. Really!?? I will never purchase or recommend an LG Product to anyone!

We purchased our LG WT7200C washing machine in June of this year, 2018 and it has been a HUGE disappointment. Without an agitator the clothes do NOT come clean. Just tried washing a King Size mattress cover two times in a row and the top half of it never got touched by any of the soapy water. When washing soiled clothing from yard work they do NOT come clean no matter what cycle is selected. This washer is a MAJOR disappointment.

****Buyer Beware**** Please do not ever buy an LG Appliance! Their 10 Year
****Buyer Beware**** Please do not ever buy an LG Appliance! Their 10 Year Warranty isnt worth the paper it is printed on. Our dryer stopped heating after purchased new July 2017. Customer service is absolutely deplorable, with hour long wait after talking to someone about the problem, flat out lies, being given the runaround, promising service appointments and no one shows. Being told LG was in negotiations with a repair vendor in my area and that we should receive a call back within the week. That was 7 days ago. No one called.Called back - another hour of being on hold. Then being told that the 1st service center declined our service appointment so it was being escalated to their 2nd service center. Why was my service declined? No one can say, but supposedly/hopefully the 2nd service center can accomplish what the 1st service center was unable to do - schedule a service appointment. Oh yea, I should receive a call back in 3-5 days from the 2nd service center. After 2 1/2 weeks of the runaround and lies from LG, I am done trying to have the dryer repaired under warranty. I am biting the bullet and calling a repair service to repair my 9-10 month old dryer out of my own pocket. I also would like to note that our case is not an isolated one. A google search will reveal several horror stories identical to mine! Dryer stopped heating and a completely worthless LG customer service experience.

I just called LG to try and warranty my french door refrigerator with a broken compressor. I purchased my unit Aug. 2012, and I am well within my 10 year warranty. Heck, Im still within the 7 year warranty for the other parts that will need to be replaced when they repair the compressor. They transferred me to their affiliated repair company and they want $1000.00 to fix my unit. If Im under warranty, why do I have to pay that much for something that is guaranteed to break again, from reading all these comments???? $1k I might as well use that money for a new unit, not LG!

I’ve had the problem with knobs of the range turning on when you lean against them. I searched for a solution for last two years, even on this forum. I finally found it. There is a LOCKOUT function, located on the “LOWER clear/off” pad. Hold for 3 seconds and it locks ovens and burners! Press for 3 seconds and it unlocks. Very easy and it makes this range safe again. I hope the people who posted this problem before see this.

Weve had this washer for about 2 years now and it is a terrible machine (the model is WM2050CW). When I wash shirts (4 or 5), I get soap stains on the shirts. The shirts have developed little pills (I do small loads at a time). If we dont keep the door open at all times we get a smell from the washer. It uses such little water I cant see how clothes could possibly be clean. We bought this at a Sears Outlet store. The washer and dryer were returned by a customer and we know now why. These were issues with the washer right from the start, but its just getting worse (and more and more frustrating). I wish wed bought a cheap top load washer. It takes forever to do a load of laundry and while it uses less water, it takes twice as much electricity. I thought it only fair to alert you to our dissatisfaction before we start to share with others. We had only heard good things about LG, but we will never buy another LG product, and we will urge anyone that will listen not to either.

I bought a LG refrigerator... Less than a year ice maker does not work... Stove start button for oven works when it gets ready (stove almost 2 yrs old)... Just got a dishwasher in December 2013. I can maybe see one product... but 3... all from the same store (hhgregg). BEWARE!

LG Front Load Washing Machine bought in 2013 - This washer gets a horrendous build up of thick black mold in the rubber seal and makes the inside of the washer smell like mold and mildew. The seal has a rim with a deep ridge that makes it impossible to clean properly. My laundry does not even smell clean after I wash it. When you call LG, they offer no assistance and state you will have to pay to have the washer repaired due to it is out of warranty. They take no blame in the matter at all and tell you its from improper cleaning. Please, this washer is a WASH OUT! Dont buy LG washers unless you want to get stuck with the bill, the dirty machine and the dirty laundry! Never again will I purchase a LG appliance!

I bought a LG refrigerator just a year ago and theres a gas leakage. LG technician said that it was due to voltage fluctuations. When I got the fridge it was mentioned in the manual that its stabilizer free. But I used a stabilizer and in spite of it the fridge is damaged due to voltage drop. Then what poor making it could be???

I am currently overseas and purchased an LG F1443KD front loading washer 3 years ago and as a lot of people have experienced the rotor plastic splines have stripped out. As soon as the washer started acting up I tore into it. I can replace the rotor here for around 80 dollars, so I am not even contemplating going through the hassle of the warranty and having to pay for the service call and then be at the mercy of someone else. So this is the cheapest and easiest route by far and I will have my washer back on line in a week. In the meantime I do have a smaller unit upstairs that will suffice until this one is fixed. So will I buy another LG? I am on the fence on this one. Maybe if I get a great deal. LG has been around for many years, but they were not always called LG. What I read is they were previously GOLDSTAR.... and if memory serves me correctly, GOLDSTAR was something you would buy at the supermarket.

This is the worst washing machine or even appliance I have ever purchased. It does not level as it is supposed to, 95% of the time it takes hours and multiple times moving the laundry around manually. Total garbage and it was not inexpensive!
