I purchased a top load LG washer and dryer from a very popular store in Savannah, GA. Believe it or not at the almost end of the 1st years warranty, I was cleaning the washer around the rubber part on top and found that the framework was rusting. I had already reported the bleach dispenser was rusting without results. I called the store and was referred to corporate. I got the runner around there. After trying to work with them they had a recall on a part. After that was installed the washer is slower which I reported right away. To this day they have not sent anyone out to check the RUSTING OR THE SPEED AND RESULTS OF ANY OF MY COMPLAINTS. I LOVE LGS PRODUCTS BUT THE RESPONSE TO MY PROBLEM STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ADDRESSED. IM VERY DISAPPOINTED.

We had this washing machine for at least 10 years. The only problem that I found with the machine was when we lived in FL there was a problem with it stinking but on the West Coast we havent had that problem. We have only had it repaired once and my husband was able to do it after watching a video on YouTube.

December 2008 we bought the pair of LG front load washer/dryer model of washer WM1333HW at Corbeil Electro. Weve made several complaints to LG about the problems with both machines in summer 2013. They send the Oxebo service company to repair both. For the washer they had to come 3 times, drain was not fixed properly and machine was doing awful lots of noise. They did came to fix the drain (after it had ruined my wood floor, without no compensation) but they never fixed the noise, they said it was normal even though it wasnt doing so much noise before.During the autumn 2014, the noise was getting more and more intense and was literally eating and ripping the clothes (the babys clothes were disappearing or getting ripped and the leftovers were found through the drain at each wash). I then did another service call on February 24, 2015 to LG, they said I would have to pay a fix price for each problem (about 200$ per problem for the noise, the eating of clothes and the drain). I decide to do nothing thinking it was too expensive. In April 2015, now the washer is no longer working, pieces were coming out of the drain, I called LG service again, but this time they said they wouldnt repair the machine at a fixed price. I had to call Oxebo service company myself and pay for time and material. When I asked why they wouldnt do the repair because I called a month before, they said the rules have been changed for this machine. I asked what this meant and the lady answered that for this serial number they wouldnt do the repair... I then asked to speak with a manager and the lady said he would call back in 48 hours, but after 2 weeks he never did.My thinking is that they know the washer had a problem to begin with, the company that repaired it did not repaired properly and the machine is broken and no one at LG wants to take responsibility for it. I dont mind paying for the repair, but they should at least offer to repair it since they know it wasnt repair properly a year ago.

I purchased a WT5070CW a year ago. This has to be the worst washing machine I have EVER owned. Every load gets off balance. When it gets unbalanced the machine stops. When you adjust the clothes and restart it will get off balance again. It has taken me a full day to wash one load of clothes. Today it took three hours to do one load. If you have a small load (a couple of towels) it takes six or seven tries to get the load done. I dont think it is possible to keep this machine balanced. I paid a lot more for this machine than I planned on spending and am VERY disappointed. I have found several other complaints about the same machine and the same problem. I think this model should be recalled.

I bought a front loader (LG True Balance) in December 2011. My clothes don’t seem to get cleaned, I watched it run its cycle and it doesnt run like the sales lady said, it will go clockwise 4 tumbles then hesitate, goes counter clockwise 4 times and hesitate and then continues like that the whole wash cycle. It spends more time not doing anything than tumbling. My daughter bought a Frigidaire and I watched that run and it runs like the sales lady said mine should run. It tumbles on both directions but for about 1 minute and only stops for a bit nothing, like mine.

My top load washer blew up inside after using the machine for 5 years without an issue. I had registered the product and never received notice that the company had recalled the model I purchased. When I filed my recall claim LG had all my customer information, including my purchase price and old maiden name, but refused to process my recall until I could provide my own receipt. I went through days of searching and calling Home Depot and complained three times to call representatives that its unfair I have to jump through all these hoops when they already know the selling price to reimburse me for. They stated You have to reconfirm the price and prove thats what we owe you.Ive been without a washer for three weeks now and am out a hundred dollars in laundry costs. As well as $300 in lost clothes when the washing machine blew up and caught on fire inside. LG refuses to acknowledge these costs and the time Ive spent toting laundry all over. The nearest laundromat is 20 miles from my house. Simply refunding me my purchase price is a slap in the face after all Ive been through because of this machine literally blowing up and catching fire inside. My house smelled like electrical fire for almost a full two weeks.

Purchased refrigerator 3/6/17; currently on my 3rd compressor. Because of frequent compressor failure, sent certified letter to Huntsville, ALA President of LG Electronics USA 11/8/19 and again 12/27/19. Received Returned Receipt back both times, however, have never heard from anyone at LG. Replacing a failed compressor with the same type of compressor time and time again has proven to be very poor strategy, not to mention the inconvenience to your customer during the replacement phase. Loved LG; have 5 LG products in my home. Extremely disappointed with customer service.

We purchased an LG refrigerator model #LFXS30766S from Lowes for around $2400.00 a little over three years ago. Recently that refrigerator just died and we lost all of our food and had a water mess to clean up. We contacted Lowes and of course the extended warranty expired just a few months prior and they could do nothing for us short of selling us a new refrigerator. We contacted LG and they agreed that it was probably a bad compressor which they warranty for ten years. They sent a new compressor and associated parts directly to our house and contacted a local appliance repair company to come and do the repairs. Thats when the nightmare really began. The repair company scheduled us 8 days out and when the repairman showed up he said he couldnt fix it then because it was a three hour job and he needed more parts. We were rescheduled for another 11 days out. The day before that appointment it was canceled for unknown reasons. The next scheduled appointment was a week away. This time a different repairman showed up and he had no idea that someone had already been there previous and that the compressor and parts were at the house. He left to go get refrigerant and we never heard from him again. That was day 26 without a refrigerator. I finally just contacted a recommended local appliance repairman and he came and replaced the compressor the next day. What a nightmare! Well never buy another LG appliance EVER, and will warn everyone we know to avoid them also.

I bought the double oven stove and unfortunately I did not use the stove until 9 months after the purchase. The stove is awful. It will burn you if you try to even come near the back of the stove top. It is very hard to clean, and that means the entire unit. The knobs are actually paper/tin which cracks and peels after just a little wear. The oven has never baked right. It burns everything on the bottom. Nothing I did corrected any of the problems.I have told everyone I know not to purchase this brand of stove, and will continue to tell the public about this lemon. To produce something so inferior and sell it to the public just shows that this company has no regard for customers and will sell junk. For me it was way too late to send this piece of junk back as by the time I used it warranty had passed. I tried to call this company and was told there was nothing they could do. They did not even try to listen or help me in any way. Its too bad because I work with broadcasting/media and I have prevented many people from making the same mistake, and will continue to do so. PLEASE do not spend your hard earned money. You will be sorry.

Within months of buying our LG refrigerator, the fake stainless steel finish started coming off the handles. Now the handles looked worn and shabby. I called a repairman and had them replaced with new handles. These lasted just about a year, and then the fake stainless finish started coming off again. They look terrible ...scratchy, peeling, shabby ... just makes the refrigerator look awful. Same thing is happening to the outside covering on the door ice dispenser. Not only that, the ice maker will suddenly stop producing ice. Then we just have to wait until it decides to start working again. Sometimes its a few days ...other times a week or two. I hate this refrigerator and will not ever buy LG again. We are in the process of replacing this refrigerator. While looking around, I see LG still has not upgraded their handles to real stainless steel. (At least, they should offer an upgrade, or free replacements.) The handles cost almost $200 each with tax. You will be sad and embarrassed by how this looks in your kitchen within a few months.

It failed again 5 months later and it will cost another 400.00 for labor but how long will it last? After losing everything in refrigerator twice! Im not going to have it repaired. Im buying a new one. And it wont be an LG. Anything that is rebranding by LG anything that looks like an LG anything that has an L or a G in its name.

If I can reach out to one person to keep them from making the same mistake and buying a $5000.00 kitchen full of LG paperweights. The fridge has gone out twice. The icemaker leaks, the freezer frosts up, handle broken, and freezer door off track.. The split oven doesnt keep temp. Will burn everything if you dont watch it. The dishwasher and microwave is ok so far. If you have a LG linear compressor fridge do not stock it. Never know when it will quit. So disappointing after saving for so long to afford a new kitchen and end up with scrap metal.

Our LG washer was recalled, due to the agitator coming up out of the machine and injuring people. This happened apparently as a result of washing waterproof bedding. LG sent a repairman out, and he did nothing other than put a sticker on the washer that said not to wash waterproof items. This didnt work for us, as my little boy has asthma and needs his mattress covers washed. We proceeded to go shopping, possibly for another LG, but found that ALL LG washers have that warning. We ended up going for a different brand and I am glad we did because about 6 months later, our LG dryer started making this horrible clacking noise. Turned out the drier actually has a cracked drum.We called the LG company, and they said we had to have the receipt (from 4 years ago) or they cant help us. The manager actually hung up on me. We called the place that we got the dryer from, but they dont keep receipt records that long. We also tried our credit card company, and their records only go back to 2011. Stay far, far, away from any LG products. This company makes defective equipment, knows it, and then makes it impossible for you to meet their requirements for them to repair the defects. If you think you may want an LG device, please look at all the bad reviews and horror stories. It takes just a simple Google search.

At this point I no longer have coverage on it but I have spent the last two days going back and forth with LG and finally after producing my original receipt they will as a courtesy schedule appt. It has been quite an ordeal when I complained of faulty refrigerator. They had the nerve to say there are no complaints on it... There really should be somewhere to file official complaints and not be stuck getting transferred back and forth and getting different answers from different people. After a week of looking the warranty company cannot find anyone to do service so they issued a credit for me to purchase another refrigerator. So I am getting a different brand. Never again get anything LG. It seems like the controls are messed up or are out of calibration because the compressor is working and there is Freon in the system. I am very upset with my LG purchase. Back in January 2019 my stove was delivered & installed. Everything seemed fine until I decided to clean the stove using the self cleaning feature on Friday, 8/9/2019. After using the self cleaning feature the enamel on my stove is burnt in the corners of the door. During initial conversation with the Warranty Department I was given a case number and told I would be contacted to arrange an appointment time for their technician to come take a look at the stove. Two days later I receive a phone call from a service company explaining that my cosmetic defect is not covered by the warranty and if they come out and determine it is not a manufacturer defect I will have to pay a service fee. I shared with her my concerns of over-heating or possible burnt enamel and explained that I did not feel comfortable with this scenario.I called LG back and they decided to send out a Certified LG technician. He called this morning 8/14/19 and said he would be here between 2-5. When he arrived (5:10pm) today he said has no idea what caused these marks, he even noted that he could not test the oven because it happens during the cleaning cycle when the door is locked. He placed a call to his tech team back at the office. Even he gets placed on a LONG hold! He shares with me that he needs to get to his next appointment and will call me back with their determination. When he called me back I was told they are not going to cover the defect that it is burnt on food. (Huh!!)First how do they know. They were not here? The technician that physically looked at the stove and did not come up with this scenario - a person on the phone did??? But even with this possible scenario - I asked how can food get in-between the gasket and the door? Yet there is no burnt on food anywhere else in the stove. Not even on the floor of the stove! He tells me there is nothing he can do to call customer service again. Now we are waiting on a 2nd technician visit. Please keep in mind I have literally spent hours on the phone with each call. Taken 3 hours off from work today and will need to take additional time off on Friday for the second appointment. I hope this nightmare ends soon.

I bought a LG washing machine and dryer from Home Depot which is the worst experience ever. I went to the store on Strickland Road in Raleigh, NC and picked out the best LG washer and dryer they had on sale for Black Friday on the Black Friday pre-sale. We paid about $2400. They delivered it on Wednesday before Thanksgiving and then the problems started. They had a big dent in the dryer and said they were going back and pick up another the same day. They never showed back up and didnt call or anything. I ended up getting it 2 weeks later. Then the washing machine broke down in 3 days from the time it was delivered. Home Depot would do nothing and left it to LG. I am still waiting to use my Washer and it is now December the 8th and LG said it will try and get me an appointment next week. What POOR SERVICE! I just had to replace a roller bearing on my three-year-old LG dryer at the expense of $200. When I attempted to contact LG customer service, they were willing to forward my complaint to upper management without any expectation of a reply to me on my complaint. Evidently, this problem is quite prevalent on this particular model (DLE5955W), which I learned from reports on the internet. The serviceman that replaced the defective roller told me that the bushing/bearing was completely worn-out, which caused a rumbling noise, because of no lubricant which might have occurred because of its proximity to the heating element.

We paid a fortune for this washer. It is an LG Wave Force True Balance top load. As another consumer stated, you cannot wash a small or a very large load without the UE code showing on the display. The machine constantly tries to balance itself. To me, 1 or 2 things is a small load. Ive washed 10-12 articles of clothing and I still get a UE. I go in readjust the load, press start. 10 minutes later I get UE again. It takes me 2 hours to wash a load of clothes. The repairman came out twice. We had a discussion over the small load issue. So now my unfortunate solution has been to change to a slower spin speed (which often does not work either) or to wash pants, shirts, towels and under garments all together so I can come up with a load size that the machine will take. Very poor design. I will never buy an LG washer again. It was a waste of money.

So disgusted with my LG Top Load Washer purchase. Bought 5 years ago. Never have thought my clothes were getting clean, but 2 years ago we went on vacation for 3 months. After coming home I started to get a rash. Over this time it has gotten so bad I have gone to 2 specialists. I use the cleaning tablets like I am suppose to and the washer appears to be clean. I take the dispenser out once a month and clean it in bleach. Lately I have noticed it has black mold on it. Today I inspected the place where it slides in and it is black with mold. Got some mold cleaner and sprayed up into it, but black mold keeps coming out from up inside. No wonder my family is having issues. This thing is leaving my house and going straight to the junkyard. We gave the experience a one star rating as it was the lowest option in order to continue this review, but we would assign a negative rating if that was an option. We bought an entire suite of LG kitchen appliances in 2013. The fridge stopped cooling at the beginning of May, 2019. Since that time, we have paid for service calls by two different repair companies and have made numerous phone calls to LG in an attempt to resolve this problem. LG has agreed that the parts are covered under warranty, but they no longer carry one of the parts (an evaporator). One of their representatives advised us that we could have them try and obtain the part from a third party or file an appeal for a defective unit. After determining that the part through the third party was on backorder and would take at least three weeks to obtain, with no guarantee as to an exact delivery date, we elected to file the appeal. At that point, we had been without a refrigerator for over a month, Several more weeks have gone by. Despite assurances from LG that we would be contacted, we had to call them multiple times for a status update and had to submit the appeal more than once. When we called a few days ago to once again to determine the status of our appeal, we were advised that it had been rejected the week prior (again, nobody from LG contacted us). They claim the appeal was rejected because the part is available through the third party (even though is is on backorder for at least another three weeks). We are fed up with this whole process! We never expected to have to replace a refrigerator that is just 6 1/2 years old - our prior refrigerators each lasted over 20 years. We were hoping that since LG no longer carries the parts necessary to honor their warranty, they would honor a defective unit appeal with at least some type of discounted price on a replacement refrigerator. In researching this issue on the internet, we have seen numerous complaints about LG refrigerators with faulty compressors and poor customer service from LG in attempting to get the problem resolved. Think twice before purchasing a product from LG... We will certainly never buy anything else manufactured by this company.

My new fridge (LG LFX31925SW) looked great. Had the features I wanted at what I thought was a reasonable price $2300. Then crap happened. Within the first year I had two failures. A circuit board failed and the fans for the freezer would get covered with ice and failed. That was covered under warranty. No coverage for lost food. Fast forward 3 years and I had a similar experience as many others described with a failed compressor. $385 service call. When I brought this up at lunch with my co-workers every one of them mentioned having issues with an LG product. Needless to say I would never recommend or purchase an LG product again at any price.

DO NOT EVER BUY ANY PRODUCT FROM LG or their affiliates, if they have any. I bought a bottom freezer / French door refrigerate 3 years ago and granted, I did not purchase the extended warranty but, I do have a ten year warranty on the compressor, which went and, they replaced it with another bad compressor. Purchased a brand new 4 door refrigerator model LMXS30776S and in less than 6 months the water dispenser is already damaged/scratched. I complained to LG and of course they chalk it up to normal wear and tear not covered under warranty. I was sadly mistake into thinking I was paying for a quality product but instead I ended up with cheap material and bad customer service. I should have done my research because I found out after the fact, LG has major issues with their refrigerator line and possible legal action was taken against them for it. Buyer beware.

We purchased a brand new LG washer and dryer in May 2013. Last week the washer stopped working and gave us an OE error. After the repairman came yesterday (Tuesday), we have to wait ANOTHER week for pump that was broken. I have been to the laundromat this morning to the tune of $20 to wash and dry clothes, not to mention the time wasted sitting there. These are precisely the reasons why we wanted a reliable washer and dryer. I am buying new kitchen appliances (microwave, stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator) this summer. I WILL NOT buy LG appliance again. The reliability is terrible!!!

I purchased an LG front load washer about 6 months ago from Sears. It began leaking from the bottom within 3 months of purchase. I called LG and after 5 hours of run around through their customer service. Customer service reps are all from India or Philippines. They have no idea what you are saying. They email you videos to watch on how to clean your machine. Finally after I lost my temper they set up an appointment for a tech to come out. We will see what happens. This leak is substantial and has caused major water damage and possibly mold to the walls and floor. Has destroyed the item stored within 6 feet of the washer. I would have called sooner but instead I thought the pipes in my walls or slab leak. After turning the water off to my home I discovered it was my brand new washing machine.

LFX25991ST/05 LG French door counter depth refrigerator - I actually love/hate this refrigerator. It has worked well. I love the ice and water dispenser, however, it appears to be caving in. There is a long crack at the top running into the inside of the dispenser. When the water dispenser is pressed it moves the entire wall inside the dispenser. The frame of the entire dispenser is actually crumbling piece by piece. We have no recollection of ever dropping anything or anything falling on the door dispenser. We have no warranty left on it as it is now almost 3 years old. So we are faced with the repair. Frankly neither of would have the strength to push so hard the plastic would crack. I own an LG stove, microwave, washer and dryer. I am not unhappy with any of these - performance wise.

I moved into a home in 2013 with a 2010 LG refrigerator. Both of the water lines have had to be repaired. On November 2, 2015 all food in the refrigerator was freezing. LG will not send out a technician unless you pay them in advance on credit card - $195 for all parts and labor with a 90 day warranty. A sensor had to be replaced. Today (March 9, 2016) the food is freezing again. I just called LG and they want another $195 before they will send another technician out but not before March 14. Their products and repairs are useless. DO NOT BUY LG.

The service repairman informed me that we needed to put a surge protector on the machine. He used to work for the manufacturer! Where in the manual is that mentioned? For only $5.00, we could have saved well over $1,000 for replacement and service. Why is this not told to the consumer when the machine was purchased? Has anyone else experienced this? Were you told to plug in a surge protector?

2 1/2 years ago, I replaced all my kitchen appliances with brand new LG kitchen appliances. About 3 weeks ago, I noticed the refrigerator was not as cold as it should be so I tried to lower the temperature but the inside temperature did not change (50 degrees). I tried to contact someone to come out but nobody seems to service LG appliances (one company said they stopped serving LG about a year ago due to contractual issues). I called LG, they gave me the name and number of 2 companies that are “near” me. I called them and they do not service my area. LG said to have someone local come out and “diagnose“ then we can call them (LG) and they will “authorize” them father warranty work. Again, nobody wants to work on LG...I did schedule service with Sears, their earliest appointment was a week out. I scheduled the appointment, the day of scheduled appointment, they called to cancel due to tech being sick, rescheduled for the following week ...day of 2nd scheduled appointment, (today) another phone call canceling due to tech had “family emergency”....rescheduled for SEPTEMBER 10th!!! I called LG again and they have nothing to tell me other than their “customer service“ will call in 3-5 business days. I thought I was talking to customer service! I have never had such a problem to get something repaired. I am approaching a holiday weekend without a properly working refrigerator!!! Point is DO NOT BUY LG BECAUSE NOBODY WILL SERVICE THE APPLIANCES!!!

My wife had put on a fairly average load of laundry into our LG Washer (approx 3.5 years old) on Saturday, November 22, 2014. My wife and I had to drop off our special-needs son at his group home, and we had to run to the grocery store. My other son had errands, so he too had left the house. Upon returning from his errands (approx. one hour after we had left), my son tried to enter the laundry room via the garage entrance. He was unable to get past the door opening, as the washing machine was found in the middle of the walkway of the laundry room, water covered the floor, and holes were present in two adjacent walls. After entering the house through the front door, my son only made it to the middle of the hallway before he noticed the carpet was soaking wet. He proceeded to find the hall bathroom as well as entryway and closets of the bedrooms to be soaked with water with some rooms worse than others. The washing machine at roughly 90 degrees off from where it should be. The sides and back of the washer were pushed out and plastic washing machine parts were strewn across the laundry room floor and hallway (up to almost 12 ft. away at entrance to master bedroom). Whatever occurred, it had to have been a violent shaking with an explosion of parts as it produced holes in walls, denting of the drier, and water to flood multiple rooms. My concern is this could have occurred while we were present in the home and near the laundry room. This is particularly concerning as, prior to leaving, my special-needs son had had spent the night with us, and he was previously in the bedrooms and hallway adjacent the laundry room while the machine was running. This should be a concern for anyone who owns an LG washer or any other washing machine that is capable of such destruction. At this point, the damage to the house and appliances has been approximated to at least $6,000. It is possible the number will increase, should the carpet have to be replaced in multiple rooms. The washing machine has been without any known mechanical issues, since we purchased it from Sears (approx 3.5 years ago). This is the first time we have had any incident with the machine, let alone something of such significance.

We purchased LG French Door refrigerator 2012. Every year we have had service. I keep paying a fortune for the extended warranty increasing the cost to over $3000.00 now. Now the compressor went last Monday, and a week later, they cannot even tell me when the part will be in, it is on back order. I explained to several people that this is our only refrigerator. We lost everything in the freezer and refrigerator with the exception of some items that fit in our outdoor camp size refrigerator. We have been buying ice, for the cooler to keep milk in the house. Today they still cannot give me an ETA on the part. This is offensive, that you pay good money to purchase the product, good money to insure the product, and then you wait and I was told it take weeks. No loaner, no replacement. I WOULD TELL EVERYONE LOOKING AT REVIEWS, do your homework, do not purchase LG.

I will avoid all LG products like the plague from now on! My smart top loading washer (recommended by Consumer Reports at the time) repeatedly gave the UE error. I called LG Customer Service for solutions to the problem. Their recommendation was to add/remove clothing to balance the load. Thats all the advice they had to offer. (Im sorry that I didnt have more dirty clothing to wash at that time. Apparently, they expected me to pull clean clothes out of my closet to balance the load!) When I operated the washer with no clothing in the machine, I realized the problem was with the washer - not my loading technique. After my water bill TRIPLED because of the huge amount of water used to attempt to balance the loads, I requested a service call. The technician informed me that the problem was due to a KNOWN software issue and all that was needed to fix the problem was a software update. I have no issue with this. What I do have an issue with is that LG Electronics failed to form consumers of this simple fix! Apparently, LG Electronics doesnt care about consumers- they just like to sell products. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on ME!

It was small but it worked. I just always wanted a bigger and better refrigerator. It was too small and I wanted more features on the refrigerator. I wanted things like an ice maker and a water machine. I need a bigger one. I didnt like the color, or how small it was. It didnt have a lot of space for food for my house because I have a big family. It was old and outdated and we needed a more modern look. And a bigger freezer part on the refrigerator. I would improve a tad more space though, and more shelving available for use or drawers. Purchased my LG French door refrigerator in 2015. After the first year of owning it, the water lines froze up completely and started freezing the inside of my refrigerator. Service tech sent out to fix. Cost was more than what it should have been to fix a refrigerator that was just a year old. Then year 2 another service call and money spent out of my pocket to fix just to turn around and call them 7 months later. After more money was thrown into the refrigerator it was fixed only for a short time. In 2018, had another service tech come out and he could not tell me what the issue was. Call again, another service tech came out and we were told it was fixed. 2 weeks later I called again because the fridge had stopped Cooling yet again and again we lost most of the food inside. This time we were sent parts and the Tech that came out said it would cost over $1,000 for labor and we didnt have the parts that we truly needed. The service technician somehow broke the back panel of the refrigerator also. This was in July of 2018. The tech left the refrigerator taking apart and in pieces. Over a year later 2 October 2019, the appliance still sits in my house with the parts out of it and I have a non-working refrigerator. I purchased a small used refrigerator to get by until I was financially able to purchase another refrigerator. In 2015, we suffered a house fire which was a total loss so when I redone my kitchen I read reviews and thought I was making an informed purchase. Was I ever wrong!! My LG refrigerator isnt worth a dime and my LG dishwasher has had several issues in which Ive not even bothered to try to get fixed. I have just dealt with these issues myself also I have a LG washer and dryer. Luckily I havent had issues with it yet but I wouldnt be surprised if and when it does happen. With a name brand such as LG you would think they would do more for the customer. I finally spoke with LG again September of 2019, as I had heard they were covering certain aspects of French door refrigerators being fixed in the hopes of getting back my $2,500 refrigerator but still nothing has been done. I would steer clear of LG appliances in general. But more importantly I would make sure I stayed away from any LG refrigerators as they do not stand behind their product. This was the first time I had purchased so many appliances at once and lesson learned the hard way!

Today the repair person walked into my house without knocking or ringing the doorbell. My dog stopped him about 5 feet from the front entrance way. The service call for today was for the repair person to tell me only that the part is on order. Again LG wasted my time. I asked the repair person, Why did you come to my house to tell me this, you couldve called!!! The customer service and the repair people at LG are not trained and do not know how to handle the customers nor does the company know how to stand by their product.I am asking my credit card company to dispute the charge because LG sold me a product that does not work. LG is now lying. Setting appointments without my knowledge. Their documentation is not correct and they say I am canceling my appointment. Executive desk also lies and makes up information and incorrect documentation. One person said that she would send me $150 for my food replacement. Later found out thats no such policy. My refrigerator stopped working December 2016 and it is now beginning of April 2017. My Refrigerator is still broke.

I am wondering if any of you have had problems with LG Customer Service and, if so, what was the outcome. Please read the circumstances of my inquiry below: We have been talking to LG since July 28th when our French Door refrigerator stopped working. It was determined by one of their licensed repair people that it was the sealed system and that it was under warranty for parts. However, he does not work on sealed systems. We then contacted LG for additional repair people. We were given five names which we called. Each one said that they either do not repair the sealed system or would not service our refrigerator because it was out of their geographic area. We then turned it back to LG, filed the necessary paperwork requested by LG and was assigned case number **. The case has gone from the Location Services Department to Resolution Department and back twice. We have talked to 5 plus people in the process, all who say it will be 3 to 5 days and they will get back to us which they never have. We have just talked to “Willie” who said that the case is in the Location Service Department once more and it will be 48 hours before he will know what the determination is from that department. Supposedly they are looking for a person to repair it. We are still without a refrigerator and I am at my wits end. In 5 more days it will be one month that we have been dealing with this issue.

We bought our refrigerator (MODEL LFX3194SST) March of 2013. From HH Gregg in Kennesaw Ga. Paid $3000 for it and bought an extended warranty simply because it was an expensive item and had a lot of computers in it. It quit working within the first year and LG sent someone out to repair it. It was the compartment in the freezer that contains the fan that blows cold air into the upper refrigerator section. The same thing happened again in March of 2015. It was under the extended warranty then. In the Atlanta area it is Tanstel who handles warranty for HH Gregg. I would rate Tanstel a minus 3 out of a scale of 1-10. That bad and that unprofessional. I expressed this to HH Gregg retail store and also to corporate office. The store seemed concerned even though they could do nothing to help. Corporate office was a joke and we ended up insulting each other, so I think Im finished buying from HH Gregg. Anyway here it is July of 2015 and my refrigerator is broke again. Same thing for 3rd time. Fan in freezer is frozen that blows air into the refrigerator. So no refrigerator and Tanstel doesnt seem to care if it gets fixed in a timely manner. So Im begging you, please dont buy anything with LG name on it. Read all the other reviews on the internet. They look good, but rust, dont work and you will be sorry. Youve been warned. And ask who made the appliance if you buy it from Sears. It might have a Kenmore name on it but ask who made it.

DO NOT BUY AN LG WASHER OR AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM HOME DEPOT! This warranty (5 yrs.) is deceptive and Home Depot lied to us.

After 1-1/2 years my $4000 refrigerator broke, compressor! Thats not the worst part. There is not a technician in my area. I am a single parent and have been without a fridge for 3 weeks now being promised someone will call me. I have used all my money to feed my 3 kids because you can not buy groceries. We have been buying fast food. I had just spent $400 on groceries when it broke! No one at Lowes ever told me there was no one in my area that would be able to service this fridge! If it can not be serviced in this area why sell it in this area!!! I will never ever buy another LG product again! BUYERS BEWARE!!!

LG top load washer WT1201C - This clothing washer has one major flaw. If working properly it automatically balances the load. If it detects that the load is not balanced it will automatically rebalance it before completing the cycle. However, it frequently is unable to do this, requiring the operator to remove all the items and replace them in the washer. This often happens more than once during the cycle. If you are not constantly monitoring its operation you may check after the amount of time for the load has elapsed to find that it never completed its cycle. I would not recommend this product for this reason. I would never buy this again.

My french door refrigerator Model #LMXS30776S was purchased in May 2015 and in July it started to make a terrible noise and I called LG and they said most likely there was ice on the fan. A few weeks later it started turning off and I would have to restart it. I called LG and they said I needed to get a technician to look into it. I had someone come out who said I needed new sensors and a new evaporator cover and it would take 3 days to get the parts in. 4 days later I called and they told me the parts are not available and I had to call LG directly to get the parts.I called LG. They quickly set me up with a $300 extended warranty repair plan and set up a technician to come out. This guy also said I needed new sensors and fans. One week later, they could not get the parts and said they were not available. The warranty company refunded my money minus $100, saying that parts were not available. Based on CA Civil Code Section 1793.03, parts must be made available within 7 years of any major appliance. I just spoke to a supervisor in the corporate office who after 30 minutes on hold said that the parts are available and she is transferring me back to the warranty repair company to get set back up on the plan. LG has been incredibly awful with this entire situation and I have heard from their own technicians that they rarely honor a warranty even within the first year and said to never purchase an LG appliance. I agree.

It was a very simple fridge without a water spout or anything like that. I liked that it has a lot of fridge space, there were many shelves and even door space. The light was nice and bridge and high enough that the food didnt cover it or a tall drink didnt get in the way of the light. It had adjustable temperature settings that didnt freeze the stuff in the fridge or leave the stuff in the freezer half frozen. I disliked the amount of freezer space, it left a lot to be desired, it was two shelves that were like baskets and slid out if something fell behind the basket. It was very hard to get and extremely hard to clean out. The basket design was a big flop. Yes I can complain about the fridge section whatsoever and that was my main concern since most people generally use the fridge portion of their refrigeration unit the most and the freezer is generally built much smaller for lesser needs. Most people I know eat fresh food more often than frozen food.

On September 24, 2007 I purchased an LG refrigerator (model # LRSC26923TT), dishwasher and microwave at Gabowitz Appliances, East Brunswick, New Jersey. At that time I purchased an extended warranty for the refrigerator. The refrigerator needed to have the icemaker replaced within the year. The repairman told me it was a defective part and since then, it has had to be replaced four times for the same reason. The icemaker melts and becomes deformed. LG keeps replacing the defective part with another defective part as they have not fixed the defect. My extended warranty expires in September, 2012 and from hereon in, I will have to pay approximately $350.00--the price the repairman said it will cost--when it again needs a repair since it was again replaced with a part that is the same as the defective part (as per the repairman). When I wrote to LG they just answered that it is out of the manufacturer’s warranty and they have no obligations.

Buyer beware. We moved into our new house and discovered the existing french door LG was not cooling. (I see other reviews here mentioning the same cooling issue) It is three years old and no longer cooling. Trying to get this under-warranty refrigerator serviced has been a nightmare. Only registered techs can repair it if you can find someone in your area. It has been two months, three service people and two plus hours on the phone with LG and I have yet to have a service person even begin to work on it. If the next service person who comes (tech number 4 in 3 weeks) tells me that it really isnt this its really that and of course they dont have the part or the order was not written correctly or they just dont show up because they resigned and didnt tell anyone, I will pull my hair out. I advise anyone who is considering this refrigerator to find something else and save yourself the frustration (They should have minus stars on here).

We bought our LG front load model WM2487HRM in 2008 and about 6 months after, it started shaking so bad that our whole house would shake. My husband put some vibration pads under the feet and these seem to help for a long time. However, the mold and regular cleaning has been terrible. In the last year, we have been using only the low spin with only using light loads. This seems to elevate the washer moving a foot, however, it now moves about a foot with all three. The low spin, only putting in half load or less with the pads under the feet as well. There are other problems too. The washer will leak from the front. The washer will sometimes not get the soap into the drum. We have tried all of these options because the set cost $3,200.00, which is ridiculous considering our problems. It will cost $800.00 to $1,200.00 to fix and at this point, we will wait and buy another. But not the same brand.

Absolute worst customer service ever. $3000 French Door LG Refrigerator stopped working one month after going out of warranty, so basically at the 13 month period, $300 worth of food in the trash! Had to purchase a repair plan for $450 to get it fixed. It is the seal system that is causing the problem. Nobody in my area knows how to fix that. I have asked for my money back. NO, they said. A relative of mine is an LG repair man and he said LG has been trying to hire him but he does not want to work for them because their compensation is very poor. No wonder they dont have anyone available for certain jobs. Now we are using our old LG in the garage (Im glad that I didnt throw it away!) for our food. This is obviously a manufacturing defect. We called LG and they sent a certified LG appliance repair man to our home. I had the infamous LG linear compressor failure on a fridge that is only a few years old. Prior to it breaking down, I called and proactively asked for replacement or a permanent fix after hearing of friends and relatives have failure. LG refused and said they would only come out if something was broken because no official recall was done. They are in a class action lawsuit currently over this. We are now waiting A WEEK for a technician to come and $700+ worth of food and groceries gone. Calling the customer service was a nightmare with foreign reps who spent 15 minutes trying to understand my address until I asked to be transferred to a supervisor who had better communication and more fluent in English apparently. Then I was told that they would reimburse me for a mini fridge or fridge rental, later I find out that was a bold faced LIE. It has to be GREATER than 7 days of outage to qualify for this. I was exactly scheduled for repair at 6 days from my phone call, so now they are saying they wont reimburse. In summary - terrible equipment and terrible customer service that is untrustworthy and cannot communicate. Never purchasing LG again.

I purchased my LG Waveforce washer from Sears (thankfully it was on sale). I have the same problem as the Shannon in LA. Takes forever to wash a load, from the error codes. This started from the beginning and I called LG and every time they came out it would not duplicate. Finally after months of this and many phone calls to LG, they actually replaced it. Same thing. I just gave up and have been dealing with this washer for about 4 years now, waiting till it completely dies and I can buy a new washer. I sure do miss my old Kenmore that had a ringer in the middle. That one got my clothes clean. There is never enough water to get the clothes really clean, if and when it finishes washing which takes double time because it stops and starts over. The only setting I use is the bulky/bedding one because it uses the most water. I can never leave the house once I start a load, because it would never finish. Thankfully its only me, dont wash much and I sit near it, so I can hear when it ** up. The clothes smell moldy after washing them, and the machine is always smelly after a wash. I hate this piece of crap.

Noticed rust around dispenser drawer and filter door. There has been no misuse or spillage, this seems to be happening due to over sloshing as dispenser is emptying during wash cycle. Also we saw on other reviews where this is happening to other washer brands as well and I would agree with one service man’s opinion that cutting corners on paint seems to be the problem as the paint is extremely thin on this machine. This is clearly obvious as the area where the problem occurred had to be sanded in order to stop the rust from running down the face of the machine and spreading rust all over my floor. I paid a huge amount of money for this machine and the matching dryer and pedestals when we remodeled our home, I wanted high-end look for the resale of our home. We have sold our home and personally I will not buy a new set for the home we are building even though I loved the performance of the machines, too bad they ruined their wonderful products by cutting corners on a simple thing like paint. News flash LG, a cheapskate in your company is going to ruin your product’s name! This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned! A normal cycle is supposed to take 57 minutes. It routinely takes all day to wash one load of laundry due to constant error codes stating the machine is unbalanced. This happens no matter how small or large the load of laundry and no matter how carefully you load the machine. It does not get clothing clean. I have to hand wash all shirts before putting them into the machine, otherwise, deodorant builds up on the fabric under the arms. And the washer smells musty no matter how regularly you clean it. We have had this machine for almost two years, but being very busy in our lives have never actually watched the machine go through a full wash cycle, until I did it just recently. I put an average load of clothes in it and started a normal cycle. A little later I looked in to see that the clothes were only about half-immersed in water during the wash. Clearly, this was not good. I see that many people online have complained about this same problem. I find that the washer will only truly fill if the Bulky/bedding cycle is selected. Otherwise it simply will not put sufficient water in the tub for a proper wash. My fix to fool the machine is: start the load on Bulky, wait till it fills to the desired level, pause, change to normal and proceed. This will not make the rinse cycle fill up, but if you happen to catch it you can do the same for rinse. Sort of makes a joke of this high-tech automatic machine doesnt it?

I cant tell you how disappointed we are after having a whole household of LG products 10 in total cleaning the kitchen and laundry room. My husband and I really researched washer/dryer sets. Living in CA, we wanted to be as green as possible, but also get value from our purchase. We settled on the LG Steam Front Load Washer and Dryer, and at first were very happy. However, not too soon after our purchase, I noticed that my tank top straps were tearing, my husband found tears and rips in new t-shirts and some underwear was twisted to the point of being ruined. Finally, after numerous clothing loss, which was starting to get expensive, I researched what was going on and found that the dryer lint screen was the culprit; in fact, many other people appeared to have the same problem. I tried at first to purchase a replacement on Amazon, but there is no way to get this without paying full original manufacturer price (the only lint screen that is not available on Amazon, btw). Clearly, the manufacturers know that this is a defect in their dryer, but I went ahead and purchased a new one. It came three weeks ago, and I immediately replaced the screen.Within two loads (and we do not overload our washer... in fact, I usually run small loads because I am a dance teacher and my children take dance class regularly, so there are multiple small loads of dancewear), the same problem occurred. Again, torn leotards, twisted and ruined tights, bras damaged beyond salvaging, etc., etc. Should I purchase a mesh bag for these items? There are so many items that these dryers damage, that it would be counterproductive. However, I did try with a lingerie bag and the actual cord got so tangled around the bag because of this defective lint screen that I had to throw the bag out.Just tonight I lost three items (please see the photo, below). If I could I would rip this dryer out and put it on the corner, and purchase something else. I will never buy an LG product again. I am disappointed and upset at not only the waste from the purchase of this machine, but the loss of all my garments this machine was meant to clean and maintain. Shame on LG.

I bought this very top of the line energy efficient LG washer and dryer for over $2,500. I wanted to be environmentally considerate. But now I have to wash my cloth 2 or 3 times to get them clean. The washer does not allow enough water to the cloth to get them even fully wet. The sports clothes of my teenager still smells bad after 2 wash. When I called the company they send out a technician that did literally nothing but read the error codes to someone over the phone and then told me that the machines are not meant to give water to get the cloth soaked and hence my cloth cannot get clean! If it bothers me that much I should consider buying a top loader that will allow enough water to get into machine to actually wash my cloth. I dont even want to start talking about the washer bouncing around and not getting balanced. I am looking at having to purchase a new washer and kitchen range within the next little while and it will not be an LG. I have had nothing but trouble with the LG Dryer #DLGX3571 which I purchased in August of 2015. Weve already had service on it once before and now are in need of service again due to no heat in the dryer. My husband notified LG of the problem, the fact that we have an LG Premium Care extended warranty and that the problem was that the ignition was not working. My husband was told that the earliest day for service was today which is 6 days later. Today the technician arrived and confirmed that the problem was the ignition but DID NOT HAVE THE PART!!! Worse still, the part cannot be obtained until next week and then we will have to schedule ANOTHER SERVICE DATE! So we will be without the dryer for at least two weeks. I find this unreasonable and unacceptable. In addition to the present problem, I have found that only two of the dryer settings are useful - the manual setting and the air dry setting. On the steam cycle settings, clothes finish in the same condition or even more wrinkled than they are using the manual setting. The cycles do absolutely nothing in terms of removing wrinkles. In fact, in my experience, clothes are more wrinkled at the end of the steam fresh cycle than they were at the beginning. This dryer is expensive and I could have bought a simple dryer without the cycles (which do not work as claimed) that would have been much less expensive, provided the same drying quality and probably would have been broken less often. I am convinced that if you purchase this product you will be greatly disappointed in its performance.

Ive sent pictures of the loads that come out in big knots! The machine is high efficiency so it should be economical, but when it goes UE all the time, you can never leave it alone to do a load. It will keep draining and filling up to try to even itself. Its very wasteful of water! This is not a floor leveling problem at all. Its the machines problem. Some loads just all float to the top and never get pulled down through the water, which leaves spots on clothing and not overall good cleaning. Its just a lemon! I want my money back! Neither place will give it to me. I paid cash, I have receipt. I took pics of how my loads come out, but keep getting the runaround. All I want is my money back! Ive been married for 32 years and this is my third washer, so I do not abuse them. There is just no help coming anywhere for me! No company should get by with this kind of customer treatment.
