Using a LG washing machine is like having a full time job. It take 90 minutes on a good day to do a what they call a 57 minute wash cycle. I have spent as may as 4 hours trying to do a load of towels, finally had to remove half the load and start again. Machine has flooded my basement four times because the water doesnt shut off when done. You have to shut the water off during the spin cycle. During the spin cycle you have to stop and level the load several times. I would beat my clothes on a rock before I buy another LG washing machine.

Bought our LG Front Loader Steam Washer (WM2501H*A) 9 years ago. 4 years after purchase we had to have the drum replaced due to the bearings going bad. Luckily it was covered under warranty so it was free. However, its only been 4 years since the replacement and again the drum bearings are going bad and need to be replaced. I was told that with the direct drive system the bearings had a longer life than previous models. If this is true then the previous models must have only lasted 2 years! We are going to run this one into the ground, spent all that money on it and feel like I might as well get my $$s worth (and it isnt worth fixing at this time.) I will NEVER buy another LG washer (and possibly product) in the future. I feel like the product they produce is low quality at a high quality price. I will be going back to top loader when this one completely fails.

I bought a LG Electric Range, Model # LSE4611ST in Feb. 2020. I have just used the self-clean option and it did not clean the oven completely. I used an oven cleaner and now I have white blotches all over the oven. I have never owned an oven that could not handle oven cleaners. I would like to know how to fix this issue in my $1600 range. Very upset this happened to my fairly new range!

I bought an LG top loading washer about two months ago, which worked fine for about a month. Now, more often than not, it goes out of balance with a UE code and, occasionally, the power button will not work. I contacted customer service and was informed that I am out of area for factory service but that they would schedule a local repair service and get back to me. Instead, I got an email telling me how to load a washing machine (Ive only been doing that for about 50 years) and ignoring the power button problem. And the email stated on the bottom that it is not possible to answer one of their emails. Right now, I am thinking about small claims court.

I bought a brand new LG refrigerator LFXS30766D in May 2015. Last month it did not make any cool air, as the result all my foods end up in the garbage can. I called LG, they dispatched a technician first time for diagnostic. Then the tech came back the second time with a new compressor. They charged me about $400 plus for part and labor. Well, the refrigerator then was running fine for about three weeks. After that the compressor made some noise. I had to unplugged it a few times with a hope making differences. At last the noise finally gone but there is a new problem starting last 2 weeks. The cooling issue came back. The freezer at the bottom is cool about 36F, and the fridge on top is warm. I found out the vapor fan stopped working. I went online to check on LG spare part to replace the fan myself so I can save money. But I am very disappointed after the fact that the vapor fan kit costs around $200 - $300 for the whole assembly kit. What a rip off!!! I spent more than $2000 to purchased this LG refrigerator; and I really believe this is a piece of junk. I dont know how LG is still in business, and why LG does not care their customers at all. All they care is about themselves, selling fancy looking product that not last more than 3 years, then selling spare parts at unbelievable high prices. I will not buy LG products and no more...

Electric range Model LRE3083ST - After a few uses oil/grease streaks appeared on the glass panel. Thought it was on the outer surface. Didnt run a self clean cycle until the range was 6 months old. The streaks were inside not outside. Called LG - was told this is a maintenance issue. This is a defect in the design - the glass is suppose to sealed. Contacted Sears the seller (also their corporate office), was told since we didnt buy the extended contract and was past 30 days, nothing can be done. Already found another person with the same exact problem.

I was out of country for business when my wife tells me our 5 year old LG refrigerator stopped working. I had her call LG customer service department (India). They provided her with an authorized LG Service Center 50 miles from our house. The cost for the service center to make the service call to my home was $215 which included 1 hour of labor that would be applied to the service call and anything left over applied to the repair. It took the service center 1 week to make the service call. At 5 years my refrigerator has only a 7 year warranty on the compressor with no labor covered. The service call by the service center determined the compressor and motherboard were bad. The repairman only assessed the call for 15 minutes leaving 45 minutes toward repair. I was also told that I would have to get the parts from LG. Contacted LG for the parts and they said the service center would have to order the parts.I went back and forth for about a week between the service center and LG. Got an LG Case Number that was offered after about the 15th call to LG. I asked for a US based LG customer service rep and was told that does not exist. Today LG offered to send the Service Center a Part Authorization # so that they could order the parts. I am going on 3 weeks without a refrigerator functioning in my home. I was told the Part Authorization # will take at least 3 days. The service center says once they have the Part Authorization # it will take about a week to get the part. Then another week to come out for the service repair call. If you are thinking of purchasing an LG product you are out of your freakn mind.

This refrigerator was purchased, before we bought our home, on 4/2/2015 by the previous owners. We bought the house on 8/31/17, and the appliances conveyed with the sale. On 9/23/2019, it abruptly stopped cooling without warning. When we called LG, they agreed to send a certified LG repair company out to us to diagnose the problem. This is one of the infamous models with the notoriously bad compressors. When the first repairman came out 9/30/2019, he diagnosed that it needed a full rebuild: compressor, evaporator, and dryer. LG rejected that estimate, mailed us a new compressor, and set up another appointment with the only other Certified LG Service provider in our area. The second company came out on 10/15 and replaced the compressor. The refrigerator seemed to be functioning normally for 10 days, just long enough for me to trust it again and fill it with groceries. Then it abruptly stopped working again. We were told that the earliest repair appointment would be 11/08, but that there was absolutely nooo wayyyy we would have to wait that long because this issue was being escalated to the early service list. We were given a $200 voucher for replacement groceries.11/08 Comes, and the service company is at our house again. He pokes around, makes a few phone calls, and determines that the refrigerator DOES need a new evaporator and cooler, but because the parts werent at my house, theyd have to come back. Their earliest appointment date was 12/3. The refrigerator was not freezing, but was holding at a pretty consistent 39 degrees, so we were able to still keep condiments and produce in the fridge. Thanksgiving passes without a functioning refrigerator.12/3, the fourth day we have taken off work for this issue, the repairman comes, spends three hours at my house, tells me he needs to make a phone call, and pulls out of my driveway leaving huge refrigerator parts behind. The fridge is now in worse shape than before, as it is not cooling at all. I also have old, ruined refrigerator parts that Ive been told to keep at my house until they can come back out and collect/recycle them responsibly. The fridge maintains a constant 78 degrees, which is 13 degrees warmer than I even heat my house in the winter...That night, we were told by LG that we would qualify for a refund or replacement of the refrigerator and that they would send us an email with a portal for uploading documents, but when I called back a few days later after never receiving the information, I was told that some sort of malfunction had caused them to delete my email address from the ticket. With each conversation I have with LG, and with the Certified LG Companies that they choose to do business with despite the most 1 star reviews I have ever seen on Google, I am left more flabbergasted and confused. My fiance is a construction worker, and I am a high school teacher. I have never experienced the level of disrespect and inconsistency as I have with LG throughout this ordeal. We have had to take off four days of work, lost 100s of dollars in groceries, and countless hours on the phone due to no fault or negligence of our own. I cant believe a multi-million dollar international company cannot do any better than this. We have another appointment on 12/27, so I will not be able to host another family holiday, and that will mark exactly three months since our fridge was rendered inoperable the first time.

About 5 years ago I spent thousands on an LG double door fridge/freezer and the washer/dryer combo. The fridge motor died 2 xmases ago and as they were shut, we lost $4-500 worth of food. Then there was an issue with the washer within 2 yrs., cant remember exactly what. Had that fixed. A few days ago I noticed one of the internal arms inside the washer had come off. I thought it was just a case of hubby screwing it back in. NO. The whole machine has to be taken apart to fix. The other arms are loose too. Its cheaper for us to buy a new washing machine. Its 5 yrs old. Im beyond furious. Never buy LG. Its JUNK.

Sealed system on 18 month old LG refrigerator (LFXS30766D-01) failed. It was under warranty, but LG has been unable to find anyone in our area to service our refrigerator. It has been over 3 weeks now. They have passed the buck to someone else to try to find someone to service it. Nothing has been done. I have spent hours on the phone trying to find someone to fix it. One LG approved company came to diagnose the issue, charging $100 and stating they were unable to fix the problem and good luck finding someone - no-one around here wants to work on these refrigerators. LG is NOT standing behind their warranty and is not fixing nor reimbursing for their failed product.

Anything but LG! Had trouble right off the start with LG. Started getting error codes on the front panel within a year of owning. Tech said motherboard needed to be replaced. Then within a couple of months noticed water collecting inside the fridge. Cold air ducts became blocked because moisture got into them and froze. This duct supplies cold air to the ice maker. Cubes melted sending water all over floor. Tech removed all internal components from freezer, cleared duct and adjusted/moved the thermostat.Last week while on vacation got a call from my son saying fridge quit working sending water all over floor again! Tech came out said compressor is not working and stated it would be less expensive to buy new than replacing the compressor. This is just over 5 years old! We will place a call to LG and see if they want to stand behind their product!

Very expensive fridge, 6 months old, not working. Under one-year manufacturers warranty. LG says they are not going to honor the warranty because it was an open box item. Several calls later, they say will fix it once they get the proof of purchase. I email proof via the portal they email me. I get a confirmation. Nothing happens. I call back. Kim says that I have refused to send proof of purchase. We argue at length. Finally, she acknowledges that she has it and says she will have to refer me to the extended warranty person. I explain that it is NOT an extended warranty; it is the original warranty. She next tells me there are no authorized LG repair services near me so she cannot schedule an appointment. But I should call a company over an hour drive- and a toll bridge- away. She finally gives me the number of a closer place. I ask for some sort of authorization for the warranty. She tells me to just call them. The phone number is no good. I find the real number, call them, and they say LG has to authorize the repair. I call LG back and ask to speak to someone in the US. After stalling me for 10 minutes, she gives me a number to call. It is out of service.

LGR4113ST - I love how this oven bakes/roasts at such an even temperature. However, the front knobs turn much too easily (they only need to be pushed in maybe 1-2mm). I called after I inadvertently turned the gas on, while reaching for a spice, to see if there was a retrofit, but was told no. My kids late teens/early 20s have all accidentally turned the knobs on the range, and Ive come home no less than three occasions to my home reeking of propane. I thought there were laws in place to prevent such hazards. Do not buy this if you have little ones as its much too dangerous.

I have had my LG front loading washer for about 2 years. It has ruined all of my white pants by staining them with gray marks. It leaves a simple line of gray up to 6 inches long various places all over my pants. In contacting the company I was told to do the tub cleaning more often. I have found that this grease collects right inside the door around the seal. I have cleaned it out regularly but alas my white pants came out ruined again. I felt that I had researched this product quite well before purchasing. I am very disappointed and feel stuck with a washer that ruins my clothes. My husband purchased this set less than 5 years ago. Our clothes smell horrible, like mold and mildew. We have tried the tub clean cycle on the washing machine, have bought products designed to clean the washer, and we leave the door and detergent drawer wide open when not in use to try to keep mold from growing. Absolutely nothing works! I contacted LG customer support and they said I had to get someone to service it. Why should I pay someone to do what I have already tried? There is nothing they can do that we havent already attempted. Like others have noted, the thing also will not stay level. My washer is on a top floor and it sounds like an earthquake when the spin cycle is going. The dryer is no better. The clothes are rarely even close to dry when it stops and I have to continuously keep running it for multiple cycles to get them to dry. I should have just kept my top loading Maytag instead of wasting a lot of money on this piece of junk. I never had to buy products to clean out mold and mildew from the top loading Maytag, much less pay someone to service it.

I too have had the exact same problems that Karen of Fort Wright posted on Oct. 22, 2012. I also bought my LG French door refrigerator 3 1/2 years ago from Sears. I was planning to purchase a Kenmore, but i would have to wait almost 2 weeks which I couldnt do. The salesman talked me into getting the LG model (August 2009). After 14 months of use, the fridge stopped working (October 2010)! I didnt purchase the extended warranty (never have found them worth paying for as I have never needed to use one). Needless to say, I contacted Sears for repair. The repairman diagnosed a blown fuse, which meant replacing the circuit board also. Repair was approximately $300.00 in all. The fridge has been working fine until yesterday, Dec. 21, 2012! Of course because it is only 5 days before Christmas, we were fully stocked up and expecting a houseful of company on the 25th! We had to empty everything out! Run all of this food out to the garage, wipe the fridge down so it doesnt smell and hope the authorized repairman can stop by sometime Christmas eve. He is only working a half day, but I will try to make it. Talk about pressure! This is just terrible, terrible timing. A terrible waste of money and a terrible product! Save your self the headache and do not purchase LG! Not only expensive to repair (with or without the warranty), but extremely frustrating!

Good price for quality. It met my expectations and exceeded them. It felt like a luxury purchase and I wanted to upgrade from my Maytag side by side model that I had owned for 8 years. I spent a lot of money on the MOST expensive LG refrigerator, stove with two ovens, dishwasher and microwave. The refrigerator model: LFXS30726S/00 is the French doors on top and the pull out lower freezer with 2 drawers on bottom. I have had these for three years. I have 5 kids. We live in a nice, well kept home. Nobody trashes our things and yet these expensive appliances have failed us many times.Refrigerator started collecting ice in the very back behind the panel (2 months into owning it). The compressor is bad after 3 years of owning. The part is covered but I have to pay $400 towards the labor and the parts not covered. I just lost 100s of dollars of groceries (just went to Costco and stocked up two days ago). The repairman says that he replaces this exact part over and over. LG knows that the compressor is bad and they won’t fix it. LG has foreigners who can barely speak English take your calls and they play dumb. The dishwasher is all scratched up and dented from little bumps that never dented my GE Profile appliances (granted they were not stainless). The upper and lower oven are a great concept but the upper oven burns the bottom of almost everything. The glass panel on the lower oven door had what looks like dark grease running in between the glass panels and you can’t clean it.The microwave has been pretty good but it came shipped with a broken part. The refrigerator water filters are super expensive for what? THEY ALWAYS LOOK DIRTY. ALL PRINTS SHOW UP. Every little thing shows up on the stainless. Sears told me that they had upgraded the stainless on this product and the handprints don’t show like it used to... BULL CRAP. They look dirty from the time you get them until eternity. You can wash them every single day and they still look streaky and just plain embarrassing. And to top it off, we have no refrigerator for 6 people until Feb 28th providing that the part comes in on time. He says that the compressors go out on almost every one of these refrigerators and they are perpetually on back order. LG, you should be ashamed of yourselves. This stinks. I cannot afford to take 6 people out to eat every day. I trusted your name and fell for the looks of the product. Super disappointed with this purchase!!!

We paid top dollar (over $3000) for an LG Linear refrigerator in June, 2015. In March, 2018, it began making strange clicking noises so we got online and followed some tutorials about how to fix it. Nothing worked. We had a repairman come and he had to replace the control board and fan, at a cost to us of about $600. Now here we are in October, 2019 and it’s doing the exact same thing. We are looking at having to replace both exact same things, only this time it will cost $690. We could have bought a new refrigerator for what we’ve spent on repairs in the past four years. We loved this fridge for about the first 3 months. Then the optional second ice maker that we purchased would take a week to fill. We were told the air temp in AZ was too hot for the fridge to produce ice any faster!! Really, how stupid do you think we are? We have had at least 10 visits to repair this issue and now the upper part of the fridge is fluctuating from 30-42 degrees when set at 37. We are losing food to spoilage and freezing. We are paying for all the spoilage. The battle continues to have this fridge operate as it should. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING. I will not buy LG again.

I remodeled my kitchen at the end of 2015 and bought brand new LG appliances: a fridge, a range and a dishwasher. The fridge broke twice since. The dishwasher broke once. The range has not broken yet BUT all the markings on the knobs came off and it is very hard to know at what temperature we are setting the burners. This has been for me an awful experience. Bought a $3,000 LG refrigerator and the day after it was delivered, I called LG to have it repaired due to the refrigerator arriving damaged with a broken drip tray. Was told I couldnt get just the drip tray, that I would need the entire door assembly and that a tech would have to install it. I have spent 3 days and over 2.5 hours on the phone trying to get this tray fixed/replaced. Finally, I was transferred to a supervisor who set me up with a local service company. The service company would not order the part or come to do the repair because they said that trying to get reimbursement from LG was almost impossible and that LG fought them every time they did a warranty repair on LGs behalf. The service company said they would do it if I paid COD. Why would I pay for a part and labor for warranty work? Called LG back and spent another hour on the phone with no satisfaction. I will never buy another LG product.

I am on my second LG 30.5 Cu Ft Door in Door French Door Refrigerator with Ice and water dispenser LFX31945ST. Price over 2.5k. Thank god for Best buy return and exchange policy or I would be screwed. After reviewing websites recommendation claiming this LG was the #1 rated product, I soon came to realize those rating are mostly on features and design. The reviewers do not actually keep that refrigerator in house and truly test the quality and durability of the product. So I purchased my brand new fridge - super excited. As a family of 5, I need something big and nice. During the next two week my wife kept noticing the freezer was not maintain the temperature. Give you an example: anytime you take out, ice cream, I normally had to let it sit on the counter for a minute before I was able to scope it out. With my top of the line LG Fridge I can take the container and squeeze with my bare hands. Call the LG tech, replace the motherboard. 24 hours later the whole fridge failed, all food lost. Call Best buy, I believed in the product and the review. This must of been a unique experience. Today is day 14 and the freezer still does not freeze properly, sending it back. Never ever will look at LG for anything again.

My LG bottom door refrigerator started having problems in June, the freezer stopped working. It took 2 months before someone would come and look at it. Then the part was no longer made. Since the part was under the 7 year warranty, they said they would replace my fridge or give us a refund. Ive called, and called, and called, each time talking to someone different, just for them to tell me to await a call in 3-4 business days. Each time I had to call them back. Now they say they are only giving me a few hundred dollars instead of a full refund! Ridiculous! I will never buy a LG product again!

My LG refrigerator has shown weird behaviors and lately ER CO on display and shortly stopped making ice. The biggest problem is that the LG service team have no idea of how to fix it and now after 6.5 months of 5 visits and over 12 hrs of phone calls, they have GIVEN UP asking me to buy another fridge. Here are the clear problems with LG tech - a) Tech is under skilled - Over the 5 visits, the technicians came up with different diagnosis. b) No follow ups - There were no follow-ups (I repeat no follow-up) from LG on the next steps after the tech shared the diagnosis info. c) No handover within their teams - Every time when I called their customer care, I spoke to a new person and I had to repeat the whole story again and was provided with new (and may times repeated) steps to follow. d) Tier 2 drops the ball - Very good on the phone, but once off the phone, no easy way to catch. e) Only escalations work - I took to the social media, only when I got their attention and someone senior started looking into the problem and whole history of correspondence.f) No outcome - But in spite of engagement from seniors, the problem remained unresolved and finally they gave up asking me to buy a new fridge.I lost 3 working days to attend the technician visit and over 12 hrs of office time on phone. Total $ equivalent of this time loss is over $5000. Highly recommend avoiding LG appliances.

If I could’ve given this zero stars I would’ve. I bought this LG (Life is Good) top loader washing machine and LG Dryer because my old dryer finally broke after 10 years of usage. My previous washing Machine worked fine but the wife wanted the new LG dryer to match a new LG washing machine. So we bought the set. After maybe 4-5 years I noticed some rust on the inside of the body of the washer. Well that rust spot got bigger and more rust spots began to pop up. After many failed attempts with LG customer service and their service technician in my area the end results were that they would not repair or replace the washer. It is considered a cosmetic issue. The rust has dropped into the washer with the clean clothes defeating the purpose of cleaning the clothes. It now has become a hassle pulling the so called clean clothes out of the washer without touching the sides or the top because it’s all rusty. I’ve sent LG pictures of the rust at their request with no response. During the time of purchase we also bought other LG appliances. I’ve had problems with their microwave, stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. My older appliances I had that were much less expensive outlasted the very expensive LG CRAP I bought. Don’t buy LG!!

LG is a brand that I highly favor from refrigerators to phones, TVs and other electronics. LG always meets my expectations and never disappoints me. Any repair thats needed is always affordable and easy. The current refrigerator I own is an LG and my favorite feature on it is that it includes wifi, so when my home wifi goes out I can still connect to the wifi on my refrigerator. Sometimes my refrigerator doesnt get as cold as Id like it to if I have too much food in it. It is a bigger refrigerator so I can pack it full, but the fuller it is the less cold it gets, and I often have to throw out food that requires a certain temperature of coolness so I have to be cautious of how much food I buy that requires refrigeration.

Well, this is the first and LAST LG product Ill ever have. Waveforce top loader WT-5001CW. The consumer reports at the time we purchased the washer were good, but I guess only for the time they got any ink. After only three years this thing, like all the others reviewed here, throws up the UE (uneven) trouble code, and smells like a sweaty billy goat even with routine cleaning/preventative maintenance. Our clothes also have the same odor after being washed in this contraption, especially the towels. The first recall reprogramming was done shy of a year after delivery, so we never got to see it self destruct, although now I kind of wish it had because it would have at least provided some good entertainment considering how much this pos cost!! $800 for any sort of appliance that cant make it even 3 years without repairs, and cant perform the tasks it claims to = LEMON in my book. But the worst part of it all is, the company contracted to repair it is either heavily burdened with fixing these overgrown paperweights, or horribly understaffed, because theres apparently a two-week window in between each time they can get to me to diagnose and repair, with parts having to be sent from some God-forsaken dirt stain way out somewhere! Maybe I should feel fortunate that so far we havent been duped into dumping more money into this HE pit, but I shouldnt be having to take off from work for bs like this; I still lose money if I dont go to work, right?! Im firmly starting to believe that there is nothing new thats worth owning. Maybe you should too! LG should be BOYCOTTED for their transgressions against the consumers, and manufacturing should be brought back to AMERICA!

My expensive LG side by side refrigerator isnt even 3 years old. We noticed melting ice and water on the floor. The freezer section was no longer getting cold at all. Everything inside thawed out. The refrigerator sounded like it was still running and the cold side is only slightly cool. I called Lowes this morning (Sunday, Thanksgiving weekend) and they told me that the parts were covered but I will have to pay for labor. The earliest repair appointment is for Tuesday. Im not sure how much the labor will cost, but there is definitely a pattern on the reviews that have been posted. When I purchased it LG had great reviews, but obviously they are now using cheap parts. I hope this review saves someone else time and money, because now I am stuck with this expensive but cheaply made refrigerator.

I recently purchased over 10k in appliances from Home Depot and the Studio
I recently purchased over 10k in appliances from Home Depot and the Studio line of LG ranges is an engineering nightmare. As others have expressed on their reviews, this range (LG Studio 6.3) presents a very risky and dangerous fire hazard. We did a complete remodel on a new beach house and used all studio LG products, we do not even as yet occupy the house and have never cooked on the stove, nonetheless, mere bumping of the knobs will cause them to turn on unbeknownst to the passerby... Our new 150k custom kitchen would have been set alight if my husband had not smelled the smoke from another room. This has already happened 3 times in the month the range has been installed with no one actually occupying the residence! In disbelieve I did a google search and lo and behold this seems to be a common denominator for all LG range owners. I have contacted Home Depot and LG (Blah blah... We will send a tech. Lol.) however my brother who is a NASA engineer had a look and determined it is an engineering design flaw. It appears LG is closing this model out however if they had any credibility they will recall this immediately before there is serious injury or death... If there has not been already. I am speaking with a law firm next week about a possible class action suit and will post on this site with any information. If you are considering this product, you should do this with the utmost caution, it is a dangerous design.

We love the way our stove (LRG3095) looks with its beautiful cobalt oven, but we do not like that two of the burners are weak. I do not need a manufacturer to call one burner a power burner while another will barely boil a saucepan of water. All burners should have been equal, allowing me, the customer, to decide how high to turn the heat. Also, the top control panel sticks out more than 2 inches into the space of the back burners, so you cant really fit four pots on the range at once - extremely frustrating and really cuts into the functionality of this otherwise well-designed piece of equipment.

The machine was bought from best buy, around July 2013, everything was working fine until 11/18/2013 when it started to leak from the bottom of the machine, there was no error code, it just kept filling up with water and leaking out, at the bottom. It continued to leak even after turning the machine off it was a mess it I hope it hasnt ruined my floor, called LG they thought it might be the sensors coated with detergent scum. So suggested I run vinegar through machine…We did, it did not solve the problem. We called best buy who sent out a repair person within the hour. He discovered after removing the back panel that the little clear hose that is connected to the tub and connects to a small drain tip that is connected to in the back of the machine had be pulled loose. The hose did not have a lot of give, so when the basket rotated it pulled it off. He gave it a little more slack, and it seems to be holding but we will see what happens… All in all, the machine has been working beautifully. I do not use any detergent on my clothes and they always come out clean and smelling clean. So when they say you need very little detergent I can see why. We also bought the matching dryer which is also fantastic…I called LG and let them know what Best buy found so they could notate, and make some changes. I will keep you updated on any other glitches.

Purchased an LG Door-within-a-door Refrigerator in July 2017. On September 6, 2020 the unit failed and we woke the next day to find all the food in the freezer was soft and the refrigerator was warm. Because of the holiday we had to wait 2 days to get a repair man to diagnose the problem... only to find out that no one in our area would service LG refrigerators due to consistent problems with warranty issues.3 calls to the LG 800 Customer Service center provided additional frustration due to the artificial intelligence support person taking information and then stating that it was a warranty issue and I would be handed off to a live agent... only to have the call dropped after 45 seconds of Muzak. I then went to the web site customer support and after providing all the information again to the service bot I was handed over to a live agent, and had to repeat all the information since he could not access the service bots data. After a 20 minutes of review and discussion it was determined it was probably a warranty issue and he authorized a repair ticket to be sent to an authorized repair tech, and after a 5 minute search reported that he could not find an available repair tech in my locality, but he would e-mail with the information. He did e-mail a name and contact information of a repair service and said I would get a call from them to set up the appointment, and if I didnt hear from them within 7 days to call LG back. The repair service called the next day September 9th and gave me a tentative appointment for September 17th to replace the compressor, assuming that LG sent the correct part on time. This was their 1st available appointment as they had that many LG compressors failing. Today September 15th I received a call stating that the compressor had not shipped yet and the anticipated receipt gave a new install date of October 2nd.... 25 days after the refrigerator failed! Never again will I consider an LG product.

I have only owned this LG for a couple years. I wish I had realized this before I made such a major purchase. Please note: My LG refrigerator Model LFX 25978ST/00 stopped working - first ice machine failed, then it broke and is not dispensing ice, then freezer and then finally entire fridge - lost all my food. Called an appliance repair and they charge you to look and then they take their sweet time to fix. Last time it took 1 month, this time 3 weeks before he can come and look. They are the worst service centers. Last year it was conclusion was the compressor was also failed. LG guarantees its compressor for 10 years, BUT, only deals with certain repair centers, so I was already out $200 and needed to call one of only two LG-affiliated centers in my area. One quoted me 500 for labor. Scheduling the repair could take up to 2-3 weeks. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against LG. I purchased a LG refrigerator and I am going to make it my life project to talk bad about service and this product. I am so shocked that this broke down two time in less than a year. Nobody wants to repair it. They all say LG is bad product in Fridge. I have kids and NO FRIDGE. I thought LG was one of the best, but NOW I AM do not think so. This built-in oven came with the house. Its beautiful. But, I dont think its ever worked quite right. There are lots of things I like about it - the proof setting for proofing bread, roll-out rack, convection roast mode. However, it does not hold oven temperatures properly, preheats slowly, and the fan is noisy. It is now totally dead at less than 6 years old, and wont heat on any setting. We are waiting for a service callback, who knows how long it will be. I would not be surprised if parts are no longer available as this seems to be a problem with LG and Samsung. If we have to buy another oven it wont be an LG. I wish I could find an induction or smoothtop range that performs well but does not have a lot of electronics, which seem to be the bane of all modern ranges. We bought a house with built-in LG double wall ovens. They were inspected prior to our purchase and worked fine. We decided to use the self-clean mode on the upper unit that is built in to the appliance and what a huge mistake that was! The electronic touch screen went blank, the door locked shut, and the oven heated up to some insane temperature that had us concerned the unit would catch the wood enclosure the ovens were built into on fire. The self-clean took over 5 hours to complete and the upper oven has not worked since. I went online to see if I could figure out what happened and saw that this is a very common complaint about LG ovens. So, I contacted LG to file a claim and they refused to acknowledge the issue and said they would not warranty the appliance because our purchase contract didnt specifically call out the serial and model numbers of the BUILT IN UNIT. They had no concern about the fire hazard created by using the self-clean feature on the unit and no offer to inspect or correct the damage (that seems to be a regular occurrence) caused by using their appliances self-clean feature. LG offers both a shoddy appliance and a shoddy customer service experience. I will not be purchasing another LG product.

The LG refrigerator I used was spacious enough for us and I loved the fact that it was from a brand I trust and love. I loved the ice maker and water dispenser on it. The water from it was some of the best water. The fridge itself had tons of room and fit the space perfectly. The fridge we used had a bottom drawer freezer. My wife and I purchased a new LG WT5070CW washing machine in January of 201
My wife and I purchased a new LG WT5070CW washing machine in January of 2013. This is a top loading machine. We started to experience mold/mildew smells from the machine shortly after we purchased it. We use high-efficiency soap, use very limited amounts of soap, dry out the entire machine (including the top lip of the washing tub) after every use, remove and empty the soap detergent/softener dish after every use, plus dry it out. We have used commercial after-market mold/mildew solutions to treat the machine. We have also used bleach rinses and vinegar rinses. We purchased a carbon filter bag that we place in the machine when not in use. Nothing seems to help and the smell is getting worse. So much so, that we are considering purchasing a new machine. We contacted LG about our problem and got a canned email response... do this and do that... all of which we had explained to LG earlier that we had already done. By canned, we mean it appears to us as if this response was meant for their front loading machines, as it mentioned making sure to wipe dry the gasket on the door of the machine. Our top loading machine does not have a gasket on the lid. We responded to LGs suggested fixes and asked to talk to a supervisor about this problem. So far, nothing from LG. The LG washing machine and dryer combination were not cheap. LGs customer service department along with their engineering department leave a lot to be desired. We ditched our LG phones earlier this year for Samsung and will probably do the same with the washing machine... although I am not sure what we will replace it with. LG products are problematic and I suspect will not have a lot of repeat buyers.

They obviously put too many bells and whistles on this dryer to the detriment of its primary use - drying clothes!! Dont Buy LG Appliances.

The vibrations started almost at day one. So I leveled it again with a 4 level and still the walls vibrated (its a load bearing wall 2x12 floor joists 1-1/4 thick flooring). We did not know of the problem until my son came and mentioned that it shouldnt vibrate like this (he has an older model LG), so the calls to LG started and trying to get an in warranty repairman is like pulling your own teeth. So after losing 2 days pay and a third on the way, still there is no fix or reason why its vibrating. LG has said that after 3 attempts, they would either replace/or refund our cost. Well, its still ongoing. I will keep you informed.

The LG Refrigerator that I have now was already in the house when I purchased it. The compressor completely went out and we were without a refrigerator for a little bit. On the manual, theres an LG number to call for warranty, and the labor and parts were covered. It took LG about a week to fix the refrigerator. The reps came out and replaced a part. Then, they discarded another part and they had to order that. We had to wait a few days for that to come in. It has no issues now that it has been taken care of.

I have model LSSE3026ST (LG Studio electric range). As others have reported, the stovetop turns on with the slightest bump of a knob. We have had dinner guests help in the kitchen and accidentally turn on the stove. My husband and I have accidentally turned the stove on numerous times as we reach into a cabinet or the microwave. I have to check the stove each time I leave the house because I am terrified that somebody in our house may have accidentally bumped a knob and turned the stove on. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!!! LG refuses to acknowledge or correct the problem, despite numerous consumers having the same exact complaint. They have denied my request for a fix. I check recalls every week just expecting to find this range on the list, but not yet. I hope it doesn’t take a serious incident for this to be addressed.

4 of 5 of my LG PRODUCTS have had problems. My LG side by side refrigerator with ice maker and freezer on the bottom caught fire on Christmas EVE one year while we were sleeping. After much negotiating it was finally replaced. The replacements ice maker failed and the doors broke twice. My LG top load washer rusted out... it took a year to get it fixed. Meanwhile it had a couple of recalls on the panel and tub. My LG dishwasher stopped working altogether... I replaced it. The second doesnt clean my dishes well. AT THIS POINT I HAVE NO FAITH IN THE PRODUCTS OR SERVICE DEPARTMENT. LG simply does not want to deal with their faulty products and its customer service dep representatives are difficult to understand.

We bought the LG LMXS30776S refrigerator in early 2017 and it was working okay (it did make louder than expected noises most of its short life) until December 15, 2019 when we woke up one morning to a trail of water on the floor and all of our food ruined. We paid for someone to come out to tell us that it was a dead compressor and to contact LG for a replacement part.An LG tech came out and replaced the compressor, and while the freezer worked, the fridge portion remained at room temperature. He came back the next day to fix it again, but the fridge did not get below 42 degrees. An LG contracted appliance repair company then came out and determined that new parts (fridge evaporator and another compressor) were required. They returned a week later and replaced the compressor again along with the fridge evaporator, but after they left nothing worked at all.The LG tech came out again and got fridge half-working again (still does not go below 42), but the freezer is still not functioning. LG tech now says we can get a new fridge due to multiple visits, but the LG customer service says their tech needs to say it is not repairable and why and the tech is not willing to make that call for us. We have now initiated the replacement request process three times (each time takes 3-5 days) the first two times weve waited a week only to find out they messed up the paperwork and had to start again. Weve been without a fully functioning fridge/freezer for over 6 weeks. Weve wasted hundreds of dollars on food that got spoiled. The LG refrigerator is an utter disappointment, as is their customer service.

My LG refrigerator interior light would not shut off and melted the light and melted and cracked the ceiling, it was almost on fire. They sent out a repair person to put a new light fixture and switches in. They did get the light to work, however, they tried to patch over the cracks with some type of glue. It looks like a 5-year old tried to do it. Im not happy at all with the results. I had the repairman out twice but it still looks horrible. He left without asking me if I was satisfied, he knew it looked bad. LG said this problem was under warranty, but shouldnt I have a say so on how it looks?

Machine sounded as if it was gearing up for take off. LG ran a smart diagnosis over the phone and said everything was normal. I then ran a spin cycle and had the service tech listen over the phone and he said No way was that sound normal. As we live farther than 20 miles from an authorized repair service, our case had to be evaluated for repair or replacement. They replaced it and it sounds much different and improved. With the new machine, the liquid HE soap is not totally dispensing leaving gummy residue in the tray. The manual is not very clear on how much to use for what size load. I was told to use 1 Tablespoon for medium and 2 Tablespoons for bulky loads and that a small amount of water remaining after the load finishes is normal and to wipe it out of the dispenser trays after each load. Definitely not user friendly.

I purchased an LG Dishwasher 1 1/2 ago. My selection was based on price, look and features. So far, I can honestly say that it has been the WORSE dishwasher I ever owned. It looks very nice with the hidden panel, however, the options on that panel are only there for decoration; it makes no difference what option you select. Some of the dishes come out dirty, especially utensils which are neatly placed in the top drawer and well spaced. There is no drying cycle; dishwasher is completely wet hours after the cycle has ended regardless of the option selected. The biggest problem is the smell; this dishwasher smells SO, SO bad all the time. I cleaned the filter at the bottom but it made no difference. Technically, this dishwasher should last me many years, however, due to the poor performance, I will have to replace soon with a new one and for sure, I will never purchase an LG product ever again.

Built in ice maker, sleek black color, water filter system, doors open outward, pretty big freezer. It keeps my food from spoiling. As of today, 2012, all 5 knobs are either loose, fallen off, all completely cracked. It is absolutely disgraceful that the cost to replace the knobs is almost close to the cost of just replacing the stove. Weve been putting off replacing them because of this cost. My husband bought me a pair of LG appliances for Christmas of 2014. In March of 2015, we had an issue with the fridge. It took 2 weeks to resolve. In April of 2015, same issue....freezer frosting up, then stopped cooling. It was a compressor problem..shocking. June of 2019 freezer stopped working, next day fridge part quit. 2 days to get a tech (who was wonderful). Tried to say it is a sulfur problem in the water (our water is filtered), then the compressor and now its also the motherboard...all at one time. Trying to get a unit replacement because obviously, the refrigerator is a lemon. I uploaded all the receipts and supporting documents and now I have to wait until JULY 8th!!!! to get this fixed. I am under warranty for at least 6 more years. At this point Id like to be refunded for this obviously defective appliance.

I bought LG Refrigerator Model #LFX31925ST about a year ago and all of a sudden it started making this irritating noise that is coming from around the bottom of the fridge. After making so many complaints to LG explaining to them about my problem they were telling me that the fridge was not sitting on a level floor. Making a long story short after a long battle with LG they finally send a technician to fix my problem. He told me to take all the food out of the freezer and he removed the panel that was covering the fan and replaced it with a panel that has a heater. When I asked him why he admitted to me about the design flawed where the fan builds ice and thats where the noise was coming from. He said the new panel has a built in heater so it will not build ice and that he is going around and changing this panel for customers who complain about this problem. For LG not to admit this problem and giving me the run around for more than a year was unacceptable. Had I not bought the extended warranty they would have not bothered to even do anything about it. This is being disingenuous and unfair business practice. So if you have noise problem call LG and ask them straightforward to come and change the panel regardless it being out of warranty or not. Sad but true!

I was disappointed to find my refrig was aluminum instead of the stated stainless steel. To check yours apply a magnetic to it. If it sticks, it is steel. If it doesnt, it is probably aluminum. It is so hard to keep clean and I can no longer keep my recipes or keepsakes or photos on it. Although the sides are not aluminum they are too closed in to use. As far as the workings go, it seems to be working fine. However it is only a few months old. I have only one complaint so far. It cost 50$ to replace the water filter every 6 mo. Whats with that? I never had to replace it on my old one and had no problems. Of course it wasnt an LG. Then I read that you have to have a LG repair man only to repair it. Not very customer friendly. Bought Sears Kenmore Model 795*77319600 (During troubleshooting I discovered this unit was made by LG for Sears!) in Oct 2007. Sequence of failure(s): 1st) Nov 2007 Upper freezer drawer basket rail bracket tabs crack - I used nylon zip ties to hold basket in place. 2nd) Apr 2008: Lower freezer drawer bin divider cracked at top edge. - Lived with defect, hoping it would hold. Repaired crack by splicing it with a plastic reinforcement plate in Aug 2014. 3rd) June 2010: Refrigerator lights fail, no plastic melted, nor food spoilage - I researched and found numerous similar customer complaints and LG recommended fix. I removed light cover lens, and both light bulbs, and used fridge w/o light! 4th) July 2014: Freezer no longer makes ice, progressively temperature gets warmer, then refrigerator starts to stay warm - Decided not to involve Sears Customer Service for repair, but rather do it myself. $1200 fridge/freezer should not die @ 7 years! I did some research, found a similar model service manual online, did some troubleshooting of the cooling/freezing system - sensor(s), and defrost timer. Found R134a to be too low. Fixed it myself for $35. Maybe I can get 7 more years @ $5 per year out of this LG piece of junk! I sympathize with my fellow Americans. Consumer trust has declined due to cheap poorly designed products... Whats the reason? Greed, Lack of Pride, Lack of Accountability. Make junk so we can buy more sooner? What would our ancestors think?

Worst experience I have had as a consumer - ever. I ordered an LG microwave 1/3/18 through a third-party, AJ Madison. It was delayed weeks (not LGs fault), when I finally received it and plugged it in it had a code of death - F11. It never worked, not even ONE SECOND. That was middle of March. Its now May 3, 2018. I have sent in repeated receipts, responded to their letters, requests for more information, taken pictures, cut up serial numbers, signed declarations that I did in fact buy the microwave. Gotten the third party involved and had them try on my behalf to no avail! They now want me to send them a receipt having bought a second one of these before theyll send me my money back for the January 3, 2018 purchase! Im on hold again with LG, 26 minutes into it and the customer service wants to explain the process to me - youve got to be kidding me. LG, as a very American, cooperative consumer who has purchased 14 appliances in the last year and done lots of shopping - this is the WORST customer service experience I have ever had!

Of course they are all out of warranty now and during Christmas of 2021 pieces of enamel was being found in my food I was baking in the oven. Needless to say this has to be a manufacturers defect because nothing I have done would warrant chips of enamel falling off. I called they said, Nope its out of warranty. Even with the fact that we could have consumed some of the enamel they do NOT care. Even the man that I called about checking it out said LG was hard to work with. I am hoping to get this resolved soon being I can not use my oven for fear of consuming enamel. The coating on the top of the machine at the bleach dispenser has disintegrated resulting in the metal rusting and flaking off. Occasionally, clothes are coming out with rust stain. I have contacted LG and have gotten no satisfaction from them. I was told the machine is out of warranty and that this is a cosmetic issue and there is nothing LG can do. Home Depots extended warranty also does not cover this problem. Apparently we purchased a washing machine that was not designed to operate and dispense bleach as one of its functions. This is an example of poor design and quality that a major company is not willing to recognize and offer the consumer assistance in correcting. I bought a LG dishwasher in 2017 from Home Depot. Registered it and it worked fine for almost a year. Then it started stopping before the drying cycle and constant beeping and didnt drain. Over the coarse of 9 months, 2 different repair companies, many hours on the phone, weve had the control panel replaced 2 times, the mother board replaced 1 time, the door lock/latch 3 times. Each repair lasts about 2-3 weeks. I have taken videos of the problem when they didnt believe me. The machine shows no error code and the smart app on my phone when linked says the machine is working fine. I have asked for a replacement washer because this is a lemon. I have documented all my emails to LG and to the service techs. When I read all the negative reviews on this same product, and under the review LG replies to contact them by calling them, or contacting on Facebook or Twitter because they want to make it right, I have to laugh. I have done all that including contacting them on Facebook. When the repair man visits your home and reports your problem to LG tech support, then sends the report to LG, tells you to wait for LGs response. No response in over a week so I call customer support. You cant call tech support only the repair guys have access to them. Customer service doesnt have access to Tech support. They leave them a note to call you. So you go round and round.
