I bought this LG 5-Burner Gas Stove about 4 years ago. The actual stove works great! But, unfortunately, LG really messed up when they designed the plastic knobs. Not only are they cheap and the inside of the knob breaks, they are very dangerous. If you keep the bottom stove open while you are cooking the plastic knobs melt. Whats even worse, is the knobs cost a minimum of $25 each to replace and the knobs havent even been upgraded to metal. I have other LG products and like them but, if they dont change the knobs, I will never buy an LG stove again.

Bought the 4.1 high efficiency top loader on 2/1/14 from Lowes and on 5/15/15 the washer broke. The codes that keep showing up is telling me the problem is with the drain hose. So Ive checked the hose, removed it, bought a new one and still the same code appears. So I took the back off to check if something is blocking the hose and nothing. When the clothes are washing the water will not drain it is aimed into my stationary tubs so I lay it on the floor and the water pours out but doesnt stop so the washer can fill up to actually clean the clothes. Called the 800 number to be told its out of warranty and I need to call a local repair man. Many places dont deal with LG repairs and the ones that do charge $100 just to look at the problem. A total waste of $800 on this item. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS WASHER.

Purchase the washer and dryer about 3.5 years ago. The washer is leaking from the bottom, the tub and clothes stink, and the side of the dispenser is all corroded. All issues that everyone is having. This washer is a piece of junk. I am not even going to bother repairing it.

Washer is only 2 months old. Clothes do not get clean. Huge amount of detergent residue is left on clothes even after running 2 full cycles. Now clothes and comforters are literally ripping in half. Repairman found defect in the tub ring causing the rips. Neither LG nor Best Buy will allow me to return it for a different model. Im stuck with an 800-dollar washer that cant clean and needs a repair at 2 months old. I will never buy LG product again.

LG WT487OCW top loading washing machine - Purchased 7 months ago. Since day one the machine gave constant signals of being out of balance. We constantly have to restart the machine extending washing time to an average of 1 1/2 to 2 hours. The diagnostic system built into the machine is not helpful. It diagnosed a different problem and could not correct it. Currently it dispenses water during the spin cycle, again extending the total cycle due to having to restart the machine. Customer service did reply with a warranty repair that is pending. In contact with the servicing contractor who stated that software problems with this machine are common and a motherboard and flywheel may be the needed repair. We will see.

On September 8, 2011, our freezer was not working - no ice, meats were all soft. I had someone come out to look at it. I put $100 out and they could do nothing. I had another company come out and after twice coming out, they had to replace our compressor which was under warranty but not the labor. Now here it is, March 14, 2012 and I went to get meat out of the freezer and it is soft and my ice cubes are very watery. What a piece of junk this is! And the rest of our appliances are LG! I am very angry and upset!

LFX28978ST/00 Refrigerator: I must be one of the Lucky ones. Purchased 3 years ago and still keeps food cold... BUT thats about it. Nearly every plastic drawer/door shelf has broken. Within a few months, the large drawer and a couple of the door shelves had broken. I went back to retailer HH Gregg (avoid them too like the plague they are) to request replacements. I had purchased the extended bumper to bumper HH Gregg warranty. What a joke that was. After months of runaround, neither HH Greg or LG would do anything about the broken doors, claiming I had abused the fridge without so much as a service call to even inspect it. I just ended up going online and buying replacement parts. Now the icemaker has stopped working and no one seems to know exactly what part number I need to fix it. I almost wish the piece of junk would stop cooling so I could replace it with a NON LG product. I have told my wife to kill me if I ever so much as look at another LG product.

Updated on 09/03/2019: Please read and adhere to my review. I have had a technician out now 4 times. They finally decided to replace the compressor. When they did and left, they installed a faulty compressor that made my fridge actually heat up to 85 degrees. I called them and they came out last Friday and said yes, second compressor was bad. So I called today to ask where we go now, their response...We need to send out a technician to verify that the compressor is bad. I said, You came last Friday. LG said, Well he didn’t call us to report it so we need to send him out again and call us when he’s in front of the fridge. Mind you it’s been the same tech all 4 times and they want me to schedule him again, which takes 10 days wait every time. Please read the reviews and see how bad they are. I’m disgusted with this company.Updated on 08/29/2019: I am now one month without a fridge. Took them 5 calls and 2 weeks to get back. They finally sent a tech who vacuumed out my fridge and left. I called 5 more times and finally got them to come back 2 weeks later to put in a new compressor. Fridge is now screaming loud and has gone up 10 degrees. They want to send a technician a third time and I hung up. The tech said he has replaced 74 lg compressors....that’s from the technician. If you call their number it says, “Are you having a cooling problem….” Stay far away from this brand. We are a large family and living out of coolers in August with no answer in sight.Original Review: I bought a LG fridge 2 years ago. My refrigerator quit cooling so I called customer service. They told me they extended the warranty to five years and I would receive a call within 3-5 business days. I never received a call within the time frame. I called twice during that time to check and and I always got the same response that it would be escalated. On the sixth day they told me it was scheduled out two weeks. I explained that we are a family of five and that’s crazy. Then I received a text confirmation telling me that it was actually 3 weeks out before someone would come out, but they would escalate and nothing else they could do. Runaway from LG fridges. It’s the middle of summer and we had to throw everything away and living out of a cooler. They could care less.... Customer service is worse than the actual refrigerator.... You’ve now been warned. They are aware of the issue due to when you call the automated message says is your LG fridge not cooling? Junk!!

I purchased my LG oven range combo when I remodeled my kitchen in 2017. I chose this product because it had the convection as well as standard oven option and flat glass top burners. I need all the prep space I can find in a tiny floor plan - so the flat top was essential. I would say the burners all work equally well and the quick boil feature is something I use often. The warming center might be the only feature I really dont use. As for the oven, I have had convection in the past & was excited to have that option in this. This oven tends to run a little high in temperature in both the convection and the standard. 3 years later I am still tweaking my recipes and cook times to ensure the right balance of time and temperature. The features are great to have but the calibration seems a little off. Thats why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5.

On 10/12/2015 we purchased a 46 LG 30 CF 4 DR Refrigerator from Sears. It was delivered and set up around the 21st of the same month. Once set up we noticed scratches in both doors and a couple weeks later were replaced. Because we were having things completed in kitchen, it was unplugged and not used till the beginning of January 2016 at which point everything was fine with this $3000.00 plus refrigerator. On September 1st we got home from work and opened the refrigerator and noticed that everything in there was hot. So being a holiday weekend, we waited till Monday to call Sears where it was purchased to have a repair person come to fix it. A week later the man came and said it was the compressor and he would have to order the parts. Sounds good until we are told it would be close to three weeks to get the parts. OK so we wait the night before the repair man is to come we call and ask him if he received the compressor as we had not. He calls the parts place and they are having trouble finding the parts and it will be another 3 to 4 weeks to get the part in if they even come in. At this point we have been without a working refrigerator for 3 weeks and have been told it could be another month. So we were so mad that we called LG directly and explained what had happened and was told by a customer service rep if we got our receipt showing when we purchased it they would replace it. Ok on the phone for hours getting everything they need the next day we scan everything to them and are told it is our problem and they will not help us. That was a 1 year and 10 month old item. We explained that it was not used until 4 months after we purchased it. However they did not care. LG has the rudest people that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We also went back to Sears and was told they could not help us either as they have to wait on the parts and they are not sure when they will get them. Ok so you go out and purchase an appliance and it is not to last over 1 year? This is crazy. All the reviews that I have read also say that it is the compressor that is the problem so at this point no one can help any of us with this problem. This does not seem too fair. Also, the stores that are selling the LG products knowing that there are all of these complaints and service calls for the same thing. How can companies still sell these items that only work for a year or two and then tell you you’re on your own. LG is not standing by their products and this is very sad that they are allow to get away with this. If this was a car dealer there would be recalls and the problem would be fixed for free, why is LG allow to get away with this and do this to honest working people. We are asking for help from LG and would appreciate hearing from someone who cares about Customer Service not selling poor products and then telling us they can’t help.

There are multiple accounts on this forum of electrical arcing of the wiring to the warming drawer of various LG range models manufactured around 2007, however I cannot get any resolution through web searches and LGs customer service is non-responsive to my issue. Our range (LG model LSC5622BW) arched out inside the warming drawer cabinet at the electrical connectors to the warming element and burnt the adjacent drawer itself, and didnt trip the circuit breaker. The warming drawer was off at the time and we have never used it/turned it on so it seems rather unsafe that it would be energized to the element and be capable of arching? This was one of the same series of LG electric ranges that had the stove top element controls recall issue, for which we had the motherboard replaced a few years ago. These are not cheap appliances and brings into question the compliance with the applicable electrical safety codes. Anyone know if there is any means of recourse for safety issues with an appliance that are out of warranty?

I purchased an LG dishwasher model ldt7797st at JCPenney. Im in my sixties and have dishwashers for many years. This is without a doubt the worst dishwasher I have ever had. It cant clean a coffee ring from inside a coffee cup. Its totally useless. I called a repairman through LG. It was probably one of the most knowledgeable repairman Ive had here. He told me I was doing everything correctly. Checked out the dishwasher and said it was operating perfectly. What a waste.

OMG, where do I start? The machine has been nothing but problems. It was quiet for 1 day, then the noise and vibrations coming from the machine sounded like a squealing pig. Technicians have been sent out. He practically rebuilt the washing machine, replaced the motor, the stator, clutch, pretty much everything, now worse than ever! Please dont buy an LG appliance and do yourself a favor!! Whats so ironic is the fact its advertised as True Balance anti-vibration system. We purchased an LG suite of appliances in 2009 from Home Depot. SS French door refrigerator, microwave, upgraded dishwasher and glass cooktop oven. Since that time, we have had 2 service calls on icemaker not working right - need to call again! Dishwasher had 3 calls and it still wont clean. We were reimbursed the cost of it after complaining. Microwave touch panel has had to be replaced and now its a guessing game if you can get cooktop eyes to come on, along with grease in between the two glass windows. Have three boxes of parts here waiting on the guy to come back and replace the touch panel on the oven and the glass. Thank goodness we bought the extended warranty. I am sure we will use it again before it expires in November. Not happy with LG and HD should be embarrassed to sell such inferior products. Next go round will be with neither and its a shame because HD is my local economy booster, but for what we paid, we didnt get what we deserved, which was a quality product that should last for years!

Unbalanced Flaw UE - LG Front Loader Extra Capacity - Paid way too much to get extra capacity - would love to have my basic front loader back! Extra capacity is worthless if you cant get the load to spin & finish because of the UE code. Ive had to throw away pillows I washed. No problem in my last machine, because this way overpriced LG wouldnt spin it - not alone, not with other items, not after being wrung out, hung to drip dry, not on low spin - NOTHING. The True Balancer is a joke - it is directly causing the problem. What good is an EXTRA CAPACITY washing machine, if you cant wash more than a normal load in it anyway? The time Ive wasted standing in front of this machine, hoping *this time* it would spin, rebalancing items by hand - makes me sick to think how much we paid for this piece of junk. Good luck with customer service - they said there is no recall even though there is post after post of the same UE complaint, and they *might* call me back once the customer service person logs my complaint. Never asked me for any contact info so Im not sure how that will happen...

Purchased a LG electric range, dishwasher and refrigerator and microwave. My wife and I decided this would be a present for both of us for our 25th wedding anniversary. We decided to get the top of the line stove with the convection stove, black glass top self cleaning range. The oven was blue inside and all the appliances were stainless steel. Within a few months we used the self cleaning feature on the oven and afterwards, the stove digital display showed an error and nothing worked. We called and after a several weeks, we had a service person come and repair the oven. It seemed that an electrical component had burned out. We again after a month or so used the self clean feature and once again display showed an error and once again waited for a repair. The second repairman told it this the same electrical component had burned out. He informed us that it was an LG design flaw which vented the 500 plus degree cleaning temperature vented partially on the circuit board burning it out. He said to avoid this, to not use the self cleaning feature. So this top of the line self cleaning oven had to be hand scraped clean. We have now noticed that the outer door on the oven is starting to fall off. The inner door is in place and the only thing holding the outer door on right now is the handle. Why of course we are out of warranty and now do we pay outrageous service call fees and parts or let it fall the rest of the way apart and trash it? The refrigerator shelves are flimsy and several have cracks and it takes, if you dont use it, approximately 4 days for the ice bin to fill. Its too bad that you can spend a great deal of money on a product and have problems with it several months after making the purchase. My wife is a Real Estate Broker and will make sure no new or homeowners needing appliance to steer clear of LG products.

Bought an LG washer (Model WT5001CW) 1/2/11 from Home Depot with the in-home extended warranty in effect 1/2/12-1/2/16. The panel under the bleach tray has started to completely erode and even showed signs early on. Received a total run around and was told rust is not covered under the warranty. I tried to explain that it was due to defective materials. This is a known issue by LG and they refuse to take responsibility. We called three appliance repair companies in our area and all of them said that they won’t service LG refrigerators. We called LG and they sent someone out who said it needs a new compressor which will cost $1600. Based on other reviews, this seems to be a common problem with LG fridges. I purchased a double oven in 2018 & within six months the numbers on all the knobs were coming off. Mind you, I paid over $1300 for this range. I requested replacement parts through filing a complaint with the BBB, because LG wanted me to buy the knobs, because the warranty had expired after emailing & talking with them on several occasions. First, they set the wrong color knobs, the second time they only sent two knobs, with one being damaged & the wrong style and the third time, all the knobs they sent were different & they only sent four. This is the worst company Ive ever had to deal with & the worst & cheapest made appliance Ive ever bought. Ive never had an oven where the numbers have came off the knobs. They are ripping off the consumers by producing these defective knobs & then trying to make you buy more & when you file a complaint, they give you the runaround & send you the wrong knobs, so they dont have to replace them for free. I have been going through this process for two months & still do not have the correct knobs on my oven. I spent over $5000 buying all new kitchen appliances and this is how they treat their customers. Its not like my appliances werent registered on their site, so they had the correct model & serial number. Buyers BEWARE when buying LG products. You will get the run around when trying to get the right parts & cheap production.

I purchased a Front Load LG WM4270HWA along with matching dryer from Standard Appliance in Portland, Oregon, after reading good ratings online from Consumer Reports for these front loading machines. I had my Asko Asea dryer go out for the third time which I purchased in 2003. I was under pressure because of a pending breast cancer surgery within a week and was told by their repair group that they likely could not get parts on the older Asko. I ordered the new LG set needing sterile clean sheets and nightie after sterile prep before surgery. The repair company called and said five days later they could get the parts to repair the dryer, but it was too late, I had ordered the LG set to be delivered the next day.My first run was one queen set of sheets, nightie and one towel. I immediately got the infamous UE signal and called the LG service number and was told to wash only one type of item at one time. I kept rearranging the load to no avail. I was then told to wash only one sheet at a time. I ran the spin and dry cycle several times to no avail. I then put the very wet sheets in the dryer with over an hour of drying. During the night I was sickened by the smell of sheets and nightie and had to change everything before my surgery. After surgery recovery three weeks later, I attempted to run three different loads of laundry. All kept giving the UE signal. I have severe osteoarthritis (knees and shoulders) and had to travel up and down the stairs to keep reloading the machine because of balance errors. None of the loads came out clean the way my working Asko had cleaned. I then read the ConsumerAffairs report on the machine to find out these machines were not worth keeping especially since I have an extreme mold sensitivity (I am the worst HLA type for mold causing many chronic illnesses).Standard agreed to take the machines back and although they could not retrieve and repair my old set as they had already parted out, for an additional 900 dollars (10% restocking fee plus added cost of Askos) they would send me a new set of Asko washer and dryers. Not the best solution for someone on a fixed income but much better than keeping a mold hazard. Asko was one of the few front loaders not included in the mold class action suits. It should be required to tell customers of pending class action suits before the purchase of expensive appliances. Mold is a life threatening issue for many people. Twenty five percent of the population do not clear toxins from their bodies. I am disappointed that Standard did not tell me of the mold issue but they did take back the machines which I appreciate.

Called LG - this is the only technician they have. LG called and I have to wait. I am at their mercy. Service Technician showed, called complete and product serviced and working. Not the case. I purchased an LG Microwave P/No 3850W2A233P. The handle seems to be made of stainless steel - what a stupid thing to do since 90% of Microwaves are located above ovens. The heat from the stove and the pots and pans heat the handle and no warning label or anything lets consumer knows to be careful. I am very disappointed with LG product. I have had a broken refrigerator since December 25, 2018. The first time a technician from LG had come to fix it was December 30th. The technician has been coming back every week since then and it is still not fixed. Its only been 17 months since Ive purchased this refrigerator and it has not been working properly for more than two months. I bought it on July 4, 2017. The first repair was on 10/30/17, the second on 03/23/18, and the third on 05/15/18. Now I dont have working refrigerator again. I need someone to take action or I am going to take legal measures. This seems like an issue not just I but many other customers have had and the issue is still not being resolved. Not only is this a time consuming process but also a financial loss. Since not having a fridge for over a month, we havent been able to buy store food and only take out. This not only takes even more money out of my pocket but requires me to take time off work because of all the appointments. Not only is the fridge not working but the last time a technician came on January 25, 2019 he scratched the fridge and left a black burn mark. I am so frustrated and disappointed with not only a product but the services. I would really just like my money back so that I can buy a new, scratch free, and working fridge. I have attached the pictures of the damage.

I purchased my LG refrigerator in 09/29/2015. After 4 years of service it suddenly stopped working. I had not heard of the problems til this moment. Looking at everything on the internet I wonder if I shouldnt just buy a different refrigerator. We have had a tech here and he is ordering a new compressor for our frig. We lost all or most of the food plus we had to purchase a small freezer to keep food in so we werent running out with our concerns about COVID. I had bought an extended warranty at the time of purchase because the fridge. Was only fully covered for 1 year. Now I understand LG has revised it to cover 5 years so I spent that money for nothing. We are retired and so our money is tight and every cost affects the budget. We havent had a refrigerator for just about a week and now I am thinking about buying a small one for my garage just to keep cold drinks and condiments. With the freezer and small fridge Ill have spent 400.00 dollars and I now I think the money would have been better spent buying a different brand. I havent had to deal with LG in any of this with my extended warranty and with other complaints not sure I want to. If you are reading these post stay away from LG refrigerator until they prove they have fixed these problems. They had to settle a class action lawsuit in 2014 and now are back in court as of 2019 with the same problem and new complaints. This means that LG has had an ongoing problem without resolution for over ten years and are willing to continue to sell these products. If this were a car company they would be forced to make a recall.

Please avoid all LG kitchen appliances if possible. Our refrigerator and dishwasher (both only 2.5 years old) has given us nothing but problem. The fridge started making a loud humming and gurgling noise intermittently about 2 months ago. Then 3 weeks ago, the freezer gave out and the following day the whole thing stopped working. Its been 3.5 weeks and we still dont have a working fridge. Apparently, all parts are shipped from Korea which takes days to weeks to get. Our service provider who was referred by Home Warranty of America (also a horrible warranty company) ordered the wrong part which will take another 7-10 days to get the part. I am livid and fed up. Also, our fickle LG dishwasher has been giving us problems since the day we moved in. It turns on when it wants to. We have to constantly reset the breaker for it to function properly.

We bought the LG LFX25978ST French door refrigerator on 5-1-2013 from HH Gregg. Was working okay until Oct 5, 2013 (5 months) when it suddenly stopped making ice & freezer contents were mushy, soft. Called LG. They told me to reset the ice maker & it should be fine. Reset twice, still no ice. Called LG on Oct 6th again. They told me to get a new filter or bypass plug (which should have been left with me when they delivered) which I did on Oct 7th. Put the bypass plug in... still no ice & freezer not freezing. Called LG back. They said they would schedule a service tech to repair. After several calls from the repair people about the date of purchase, serial #, model # finally they said they would have to order a new ice maker & when the parts came in they would schedule the repair. Finally came out on Oct 17th!! 12 days with no ice & very little freezer. Had to buy ice & use ice trays in my garage freezer. When the repairman came out on Oct 17th, he had a new motherboard & a new ice maker.... Took him 2 hours to replace the ice maker in the door... Had to take it back out several times because the ice container was too tight. He said it would take 8 hours to make ice, to call him in the morning if it did not. Well... still no ice & worst now... no freezer. Lost about $80.00 of food... ice cream melted completely & all over the bottom. Called the repair service next day Oct 18th, told them no freezer, no ice. They told me they would send the tech out again but could not until Oct 21st. Also called LG about my defective refrigerator. They said it wasnt defective & they would not replace it until it was deemed unrepairable. Very unsympathetic & rude! They told me I must allow them to repair. Repairman came back out Oct 21st & was on the phone to LG Tech. Put thermometers in freezer & refrigerator was finally diagnosed as a bad compressor!! This refrigerator is only 5 months old!!! I had a Frigidaire before that was 16 yrs old & I never had a bad compressor. Called LG again & asked what they were going to do about my refrigerator. They told me that it was not unrepairable. That I had to allow them to replace the compressor or they would do nothing!!!! So after talking to HH Gregg a couple of times, with no help from them either, HH Gregg said I would have to allow them to do the repairs. You would think that HH Gregg would stand behind their products also. I had bought all 4 new appliances from HH Gregg but only the refrigerator was an LG. So as it stands now, I have a different service provider that LG sent an email to, not listing the replacements parts (I had to give them that info so they could order the compressor). They are scheduled to come out Nov 6th with the new compressor. But Saturday Nov 2nd, my refrigerator is not cooling!!! I bought a ref thermometer & the temp in the refrigerator is 55 degrees!!! I have no other refrigerator!!!I paid $2300 for this LG refrigerator on 5-1-2013. I have no refrigerator, no freezer & no ice. LG does not care!!! I am still trying to get either LG or HH Gregg to replace this defective refrigerator & I guarantee I will never purchase another LG product. You would think that there should be some help when a product you purchase does not meet even minimal standards.

The LG Warranty Dept is pathetic to put it bluntly. We purchased the extended warranty from Lowes Canada on a 3 Appliance Extended Warranty Package. But trying to get warranty service on an LG LFX25778ST French Door Fridge has been ridiculous. Of course, the call center is in the Philippines and they read off of a script. They said there are 2 service providers in my area. I spoke to the first company and they would decline compressor calls from LG? The second company said they are not accepting calls from LG because of past issues??? The CSR in the Philippines had no solution as it was not on his script. What a joke!!! So now Im left scrambling trying to get a repair of the fridge.LG you should be ashamed of yourselves and I warn everyone out there to look at other manufacturers. As well, Im not done with LG and Lowes as of yet. One of these two companies will be reimbursing me for this sham/scam and paying me back for all monies owed. Be it product, the so-called extended warranty charge and all legal fees. I hope everyone reading this heeds the warning. Thanks.

I originally purchased a 28 cubic foot French Door LG to replace a 28 cubic foot Samsung. Due to the construction of the LG, the drivers were unable to get the refrigerator in my door. I had to then search for another LG and ultimately had to purchase a 24 cubic foot. Very poor in terms of interior space and not because of the cubic foot size, because of the overall design.

Or been asleep while the fumed reached us upstairs! If I hadnt gone I dont know what could of happened us! My almost two year old can turn the stove on. It is extremely dangerous. If you see this file a complaint and make LG do the right thing with these knobs. Shame on you LG!!!

We bought our LG ref/freezer about 5 years ago. We have replaced the icemaker at our expense two times. While it was under warranty, the icemaker had several parts replaced. Now shavings of metal has shown up in the ice. We have spent so much money on it. We have just turned the icemaker off and gone to using ice trays. We own a 1950 Hotpoint that has the little freezer on the inside. I never spent one penny on it and works great. They just dont make them like they used to.

Best Buy honored our extended warranty and replaced our LG washer after it
Best Buy honored our extended warranty and replaced our LG washer after it failed to function after the recall software fix caused the machine to continuously give the uE, unbalanced error code. LG is trying to turn this issue into a warranty issue, rather than accepting responsibility for their failed software fix. Additionally, we were bombarded with extended warranty offers from LG between the time of the recall in December 2012 and the time we finally received our recall notice in early September 2013. We dont think this was a coincidence.Kudos to Barbara, Dave and Andrea at Mansfield, OH Best Buy. Best Buy refunded our original purchase price, pro-rated a refund of our unused extended warranty and gave us a discount on any new washer of our choice. We replaced the machine with a Samsung front loader since we know how to avoid the odor problems caused by using too much detergent and fabric softener in front loaders. My wife was adamant that we not purchase another LG product.

Will never ever purchase another LG appliance. Immediately, within 6 months, had to have the freezer door replaced because it froze up. Thankfully it was still under warranty. Within the next year.. ice maker continues to freeze up and unable to remove ice box. So sorry - not under warranty. Thankfully we were able to dislodge the ice maker and it functioned again for almost 6 months. Again - frozen/locked up and unable to remove the ice reservoir the 2nd time. Cheap products and no customer support.

I bought a LG washer model number WT507OCW from Lowes Jan 2014. A few days ago I tried to use it, pushed the power button, made a clicking noise and shut down. I called Lowes. They would not do anything so I called LG because the washer is still under warranty. After about an hour they set me up with a company in my area to fix it and told me to call them. I called and they refused to come out and repair the washer. I called LG back and told them what happened. LG said they will call me back within 3 days. On the 4th day without a call back, I called LG again. They tried to set me up with the same people who have already refused to repair the washer. When I told them that they again told me I would be called back in 3 days, I told them that was not acceptable and to replace the washer. LG has refused to honor the warranty. I ended up calling a repair service and paying for the repairs myself and LG refusing to reimburse me for the repairs. DO NOT BUY LG.

Very spacious with lots of labeled compartments make it easy to find things. Very contemporary design so it matches my kitchen decor. The freezer is located on the bottom which leaves more refrigerator room to store cold food and beverages. The water is filtered and ice can be cubes or crushed for drinks. Shelves are easy to remove and clean. The stainless steel is modern look and easy to keep clean. Overall I love the product. It matches my microwave perfectly. Designed very well. I dislike the temperature. Sometimes it gets too cold and freezes my refrigerator items and also there is an annoying sensor that beeps to let you know the door is open. It is a good and bad thing because it makes sure you remember to close the door so that food wont spoil but also its a bad thing when you are loading groceries and need the door open for a long time. I chose LG because it is a brand I trust and I know is high quality and durable to last me and get my moneys worth. I have other LG products so the purchase was inevitable and yes it has met my initial expectations.

Beware! I thought my new LG oven was self-cleaning. After all it says Easy Clean on the selection on the top of the range. Easy Clean is NOT easy. It involves: pre-scraping; using water with very low temperatures; and a LOT of elbow grease with non-stick scrubbers after the 20 minute process. I am SO disappointed in this aspect of what is otherwise a great oven and range. LG -- you need to fix this issue going forward!!! I am way too old to be down on my hands and knees scrubbing my oven. Last Friday, I came home with a car-full of groceries only to find that something was wrong with my LG model LFX31925ST. Retrieving my owner’s manual to call for help on my 18-month old fridge deemed fruitless. After being on the phone with what seemed to be an outsourced customer service department for over 30 minutes, the only help I received was My policy says I cant do anything,” which when translated meant I was out of luck. That cool feature where you can link your smart phone for a diagnostic check is only good for the first year. I was told he could schedule a serviceman to come out to check the codes on the door panel for a beginning fee of $89.00. I said I was unable to afford it and hung up. My son went online and looked up the error codes, which this rep refused to tell me what they meant and was not listed in the manual. After further online research, I was able to figure out what I could do and 24 hours later, it was back to working. It was the icemaker fan, which appears to be a flaw in these fridges. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I researched different products 2 years ago when I discovered that my husband was planning on leaving me. I insisted on what I thought was top of the line appliances in the kitchen. So I now have a fridge I cant rely on, a dishwasher that doesnt clean dishes no matter what soap or rinse agent I use and an oven that works but it is a good thing I dont cook much. I am disabled and on a fixed income, so I was hoping that my new kitchen would last me 10-15 years but may get less than 5 at this rate. Dont go by reviews on their website since they only use certain reviews.

Let me say first, I always like to give anybody a chance to resolve issues
Let me say first, I always like to give anybody a chance to resolve issues and I am really patient with giving multiple chances to do so! After four years of horrible service and a machine which is unusable with heavy laundry I finally had it, I feel everybody should know! This washer is unable to spin heavy loads! Washing half a load is impossible, it cannot balance a half load! If you fill the washer up with towels and bed linens it sometimes spins, but often it does not!! It will display in the screen that the load is unbalanced. THE ONLY THING I CAN DO IS TAKING THE TOTALLY WET LOAD OUT OF THE MACHINE, PUT A PART OF THE LOAD BACK IN THE MACHINE AND THEN IT CAN SPIN TWO OR THREE SMALL LOADS, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!The problem exists already from the beginning, its stupid from me that I have dealt with it for so long. I am just too busy! I started to take action after the warranty was expired. So LG was nice and extended the warranty. But before someone came to our house I had to listen to their UNBELIEVABLE ADVICE: I was only supposed to put 4 towels in the washer, I was supposed to put jeans on one side and t-shirts on the other in the same load??? And then a tech told me this machine was not made for heavy loads! On top of that I was told that I should only use the towel program for towels and other programs were not made for it! But I wanted to use the hygiene program that gives hot steam as well! Later I was told that this was all not true and that the machine should be able to do it all! They eventually decided that the drum was warped and that it needed to be replaced. So a tech came, but the poor man barely could do the work. He was sweating profusely had trouble to sit on his knees and it took him many hours. Then he noticed a screw was not working well from the new outer drum so he decided to put the new inner drum inside of the old outer drum. He convinced me the problem was solved, BUT THAT WAS NOT TRUE, THE PROBLEM WAS STILL THERE!!!!Now THE PROBLEM WAS EVEN WORSE, after the repair THE MACHINE DID NOT SPIN AND DID NOT DRAIN ANYMORE!! I was beyond myself! It took forever before the next tech came, a very nice man, but he said he had no time to fix it and that another tech would come instead. Weeks went by and a totally arrogant man showed up on the wrong day, when only my husband was home. He said he was going to fix it his way and it was up to him to decide what he was going to do. The fact that a manager of LG had decided to replace the full drum this time, he totally ignored!! He repaired a few things and decided it was now really fixed.Lots of email correspondence later with a manager from LG, to my utmost frustration the problem is still there!! Appointments were cancelled due to weather and scheduling problems and one tech just did not show up! I can hardly believe it but THE WASHER IS STILL NOT SPINNING WITH HEAVY LOADS AND EVEN WITH SMALLER LOADS IT BANGS AND IT MADE EVEN MY KIDS WONDER WHERE THE NOISE IS COMING FROM!! I am so frustrated and dont know what to do!! I approached another department to seek for real help but they came back to me with a few ridiculous statements, like changing my laundry detergent to he what I always have done even with the much better washer I had before from kitchenaid.I AM SEEKING FOR HELP, THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE WASHER $1199!! I have saved every e-mail correspondence I had with them. So I have proof that my story is true! I am so done with this machine and want to make sure that other people never have to go through the same issues I have! THEREFORE THIS WARNING: NEVER EVER BUY AN LG!!

We purchased a brand new LG refrigerator in July of 2015... At the time I did a fair amount of research and reviews on the brand and the model (French Door, Bottom Freezer), and all reviews were over 4/5 stars. We paid $2400 for a device that lasted less than 18 months. Fast-forward 13 months later (conveniently 1 month after the we cover everything part of their warranty ended), and the fan began to make a loud noise. A few days later, our fridge was no longer cooling, and on the digital panel we received a fan motor error code.We had purchased a 5 year major appliance warranty from Lowes... After 3 repairs in one weekend (each time the fridge went about 2 hours prior to it producing the same error code), followed by a separate service provider who had to order parts (and hasnt returned in over two weeks), we still do not have a working refrigerator. LG is a PoS company producing horrible quality appliances -- each service provider told us to never again buy an LG or Samsung appliance... Theyre made to last up to 7 years, but many appliances dont even make it two years at this point.

I purchased an LG computerized washer from Home Depot that has a big label that says 10 years, which is no guarantee of anything. The washer worked 3 years and the $450 power supply went out. No more computerized washers for me. They are pretty, but I will take the simple old models with knobs and mechanical parts without the fancy very expensive to repair computer parts from now on. My washer before it lasted over ten years. My expensive LG is in my shed. I cannot bear to put on the curb something I paid that much for. I now have a used washer that I paid $100 for the washer/dryer pair that work just fine. They are Roper models. Bought this brand and paired with washing machine. They have a very poor design that has own default sensor for drying. Dryer lint trap is annoying as the bottom part traps the lints and get stuck instead of going to the mesh. The bottom of the screen is a closed system that traps the lint into the opening. Not quite at the four year mark and the washer needs serious service (Luckily I bought the extended warranty because LG only offers a 1 year warranty - do they know something the consumer doesnt??). The repair man came out yesterday (had to take the day off as they only work until 4:00) and he found that the repair is quite serious and needs a number of new parts. He said it is a two-man job and they will come back in two weeks as the parts will take a while to be ordered!!! I requested a reimbursement for having to go to the laundromat, but Geek Squad discontinued that part of the extended warranty in 2014! LG doesnt offer it at all - again, do they know something the consumer doesnt. In any event, I will NEVER AGAIN BUY AN LG PRODUCT!!!

LG counter defpth fridge LRFD21855ST: I have had my fridge since 2007. In the last 3 years, I have had an appliance repairman come out no less than 6 times to repair the water lines to the water dispenser/ice maker. This last time, it worked for 2 months so I have to call again. I trust my repairman (who hates LG btw). The cheap plastic parts they put in just keep breaking. For the money I spent on it, it should last longer than this.

We purchased a LG washer and dryer. The washer is terrible. It takes twice as long to wash your clothes, whites come out yellow, the clothes are not clean. They spent a lot of time putting a lot of bells and whistles on the machine, however it does not do what is intended to do, wash clothes. Our old washer - we washed all the bedding. We tried to wash the down topper from the bed, so much air, would not get wet enough to wash. What a waste, worst we have ever had.

We bought our refrigerator as an appliance set with stove and dishwasher on 4/24/2014. The model #LFX32945ST, our delivery date was 6/20/14. We did not buy extended warranty at that time. It began to slowly breakdown Nov. 2016. First the ice started to melt down onto floor, then everything in my refrigerator began to go bad then finally everything in my freezer started defrosting. I had to buy bags of 40 lb bags of ice, put everything in 3 coolers to stop from going bad. We had to go out to eat diner everyday. LG offered an extended warranty for $463.00 one repair visit including parts and extended for 1 year for one more breakdown. They said if they could not repair they would give us depreciated value of the refrigerator. Dependable Appliances who was contracted by LG to do the repairs came to my house 11/16/16. When the appliance repair man came to my house after waiting 5 days for his arrival he didnt even look at the back of the refrigerator. He told me since it is just over 2 years old and nothing is working in the refrigerator it really should be replaced. He told me he would put that in my report that I needed a replacement and it could not be repaired. After waiting 3 days for them to call me I decided to call Dependable to find out that no replacement was coming and that they were ordering a part. They could not tell me when it would come in. Three days before Thanksgiving we decided to cancel the warranty and just buy a new refrigerator after reading nightmare scenarios online and on BBB. I pray that my LG dishwasher and stove to crash also. Keeping my fingers crossed. Never again.

My mother who lives in LA got a high tech LG fridge about 4 years ago which 2 months ago its compressor stopped operating and from that time she has made 6 different appointments with LG customers service to fix it! Every time they go and have look at the fridge and they say well, its the compressor and we dont have it with us!!! Thats all they do. Then my mom has to call them again and book another appointment which usually takes 2 weeks for them to appear, and the same story goes on! Its such a shame that the summer is going to finish and my mom couldnt use her fridge for 2 months. I wonder if LGs customer service has any ideas about living without a fridge in the summer time at all??? Its while my mom paid about $4000 for an useless huge box to sit in her kitchen! Thats not acceptable, frustrating and were not only gonna stop buying LG products, but also well get a lawyer to fix this problem ASAP!!!!

I purchased my LG DLGX3551 in April 2012. The gas dryer now stops and starts on its own, and freezes when it stops, meaning I need to shut down dryer and start again and it may or may not work. I called LG and they tried to sell me a ~$380 service plan that would cover parts and labor for 1 year. But in the fine print, if the repair person determines it will not be cost effective to repair, they will charge me $100 for the diagnostic work on the dryer and refund the difference. When I asked what would be deemed too expensive to repair I got a whole host of answers from reps basically from, if the dryer parts are not available because the model is too old... but since mine is 4.5 yrs old shouldnt be a problem, to we didnt know how much our parts or services cost, we rely on the repair person to tell us. And no we dont know what parts they carry with them or how much the repair person will charge per hour, and if Im charged another service fee if the repair person doesnt gave the part on hand. Bottom line after I spoke to the supervisor, if the cost exceeds the price I pay, its deemed too expensive. But if it was a $25 part and one trip, theyd make $180 off the deal. So its insurance except they do not want to accept risk. So buyers be aware that their service support is a joke and either yes a local technician you trust or watch some YouTube videos, figure out the problem, order the part and install yourself. Otherwise its better to buy a new dryer by a different manufacturer that is reliable and if they offer a real warranty, read thoroughly to ensure you do not encounter fine print which could make buying a warranty idiotic. Each person on the phone I spoke with at LG was almost not understandable due to language accent, and repeated words from a script. Then the supervisor told me I was lucky they were there for me and spending their time on the phone with me when they dont have to since the unit is out of warranty. No joke thats what I was told. I called local techs and they said they refuse to work with LG warrantied problems too... now I know why. Doing my homework and buying a reputable brand dryer and LG is on the permanent never buy list. What is most disturbing is many people would not have realized their scam of a service warranty they offer is a scam - its unethical and they should be called out on it so no consumers fall for their deceptive practices. Maybe a lawyer can do a class action lawsuit. Im sure there are many unlike me that trusted LG repair warranty would not be rescinded if it exceeded the price of the warranty. My order number below is with a retailer, not LG. Im leaving for verification purposes but this issue is with LG, not the retailer listed on the invoice Ive submitted to this website.

We purchased LG washer WT5070VC and LG dryer DLEX5170W in November 2012. Total cost new at Home Depot was $1400. They are both broken and cost of repair is $700. I contacted LG this morning and spent three hours on the phone with them. They did several diagnostic tests over the phone. They offered nothing. They did try to set me up with a local repairman and could not find one. We contacted Home Depot on our own and paid $97 for their diagnostician to come out. His price for repairs is the $700 mentioned above for a washing machine clutch and assembly as well as the dryer vent blower. These are both minor repairs and will still have this gross total to fix. Will never purchase LG again and plan to discourage others from buying as well. If there is anything I can do to further contact LG, please let me know. I have sent an email to their customer service dept following my phone call with customer service and diagnostics this morning.

I purchased my LG refrigerator in February 2017. (Note: it is not yet 3 years old.) I absolutely love the refrigerators features: The 3 drawers in the bottom freezer, the ice/water dispenser and maker in the door, the large, wide door shelves, the separate crisper drawer. (BTW, I still love their design.) The problems with this refrigerator began 2 years after purchasing it. Since then, this less-than-3-year-old refrigerator has completely stopped cooling 3 separate times. We have replaced all the parts in the entire cooling system: the compressor, the evaporator, the filter dryer, and a service valve. It has cost us many hundreds of dollars in labor costs, parts, and food loss. It just broke on us for the last time. We are chucking this lemon and buying a new Not-LG refrigerator. If you look online, you will see a class action suit against LG due to their cooling system issues. LG has known that the design of their refrigerator cooling system is faulty, and they have continued to sell them without addressing their design problems. Once the first year of use is behind you, you must pay for these repairs. In my opinion, LG does not deserve your business. More importantly, you DO NOT WANT an LG! No one wants this much malfunction and trouble.

I bought my refrigerator (LG Refrigerator LFXC24726S/02 MODEL#502krpv10848) 8/17/2015 at Plessers in Babylon. I also purchased the extended warranty. Since I purchased the unit there was a problem with the motherboard computer within the year because it was covered under the manufacturers warranty. July 21, 2018 my refrigerator stopped working and I called the warranty and they sent Mr. Appliance out on 7/26/18. The first visit the repairman Rob said it was a Freon leak and they had to come back to determine where the leak was coming from. I had to reschedule and they came back on 8/1/18. The repairman Bob, said that it was the compressor that had to be ordered directly from LG. He said it could take awhile. I called last yesterday afternoon after repairman had left and every time I called it was a picked up and then a hang up all afternoon. I spoke with LG today and was hung up on. I have been without a refrigerator for almost 2 weeks and I have 3 teenagers with no fridge. We are living out of coolers! I have called LG, NEW LEAF (warranty company), Mr. Appliance, and the retailer Plessers. Everyone keeps passing the buck and doesnt take responsibility. They all seem to feel that its normal to be without a refrigerator for 2 weeks plus! I was told by Mr. Appliance it could take a couple of weeks to get the compressor and then I have to call for another appointment to have it installed. This is totally unacceptable! I want a loaner or a new refrigerator! I will NEVER buy from PLESSERS or an LG appliance again.

Bought my refrigerator model LFX33975ST in 2013. Had high hopes I wouldnt have to purchase another unit for a long time but to my surprise two years later, Im looking at doing just that! My husband and I usually research products pretty good before purchasing them so we thought LG was a good choice -- WRONG. After two years, my refrigerator has stopped cooling. LGs Customer Service told me to contact a repairman to confirm the problem was the compressor and if so, they would mail a new part to me. The problem was the compressor, but the repairman told me they would not repair the refrigerator even if LG provided the part. I called another repairman but they refused to even to come out to look at it once I told him it was a LG refrigerator. I called LG back (after five days had passed) to check the status of my repair request and after being put on hold for 15-20 minutes, the person told me he was unable to get a hold of anyone and gave me three numbers I could call for service. The person at the last number I called was very helpful and honest. She told me she could schedule someone to come out to look at the unit but I would have to provide proof of purchase before they could do anything per LGs company policy. I was never told that by LGs Customer Service and at that point, it became very obvious to me I may not ever get my refrigerator fixed. Thumbs down LG - I will never buy one of your products again; oh no, too late -- earlier this year we purchased a new LG dishwasher and washer/dryer... yeps!!!

The LG microwave (MW MC7688) was purchased by me on 30.11.2008. On 21.08.2012, we went for AMC, which is from 21.08.2012 to 20.08.2013. Some of the parts were not functioning so we lodged the following complaints: RNA ** dated 19.01.2013, RNA ** dated 23.01.2013, and RNA ** dated 31.01.2013. The service technician visited and verified the oven. He confirmed that one part is to be replaced, but that part is not available as the company has stopped manufacturing that model. Subsequently, Mr. ** called on 09.02.2013, and confirmed that the model is out of stock, and that the company will pay back 15% of the purchase cost. Then we spoke to Mr. Manish ** on **. He conveyed point blank and asked us to do whatever we want, but we will get only 15% of the purchase price. The purchase price was Rs. 8,499/- and 15% comes to Rs.1,275/-; whereas, we have already paid Rs. 815/- for the AMC cost.Is it our problem that the company has stopped production? If that is the case, then why was AMC taken? We need the part to be replaced or a replacement of a new oven.

I purchased an Lg Washer and dryer a little over a year ago. Within the first year I had to have the washer repaired a total of four times with three of those repairs being done for the same issue. When I bought the washer at Pacific Sales in San Dimas Ca, I purchased an extended warranty. Just recently, the washer began to leak water again. I contacted the warranty department and notified them of the problem. They sent a technician out and he deemed the washer unrepairable since it had been repaired for the same thing several times. I then contacted LG and told them that they needed to replace my washer or give me my money back. This washer is a lemon. They told me that I was out of warranty and that I had to deal with my extended warranty company. I told them that I already had and that since the problem was a pre-existing one, they would have to replace it.So after two months, I still dont have a washer that works and not only that, I have a wash room that has been damaged due to the leaks from the washer. My wood floor has begun to warp. I have done everything that LG has asked me to do and provided and they continue to give me the run around and blaming everyone but themselves.

This is a terrible washer. At every level it fails - light load, heavy load. When the washer reaches the spin cycle, a UE (unbalanced load error) is nearly inevitable. The washer repeatedly attempts to adjust then it resets the time and refills the tub. Manually adjusting the clothes makes no difference. Its very frustrating. I will be purchasing a GE or Kenmore later this week.

LFX25991ST/05 LG French door counter depth refrigerator - I actually love/hate this refrigerator. It has worked well. I love the ice and water dispenser, however, it appears to be caving in. There is a long crack at the top running into the inside of the dispenser. When the water dispenser is pressed it moves the entire wall inside the dispenser. The frame of the entire dispenser is actually crumbling piece by piece. We have no recollection of ever dropping anything or anything falling on the door dispenser. We have no warranty left on it as it is now almost 3 years old. So we are faced with the repair. Frankly neither of would have the strength to push so hard the plastic would crack. I own an LG stove, microwave, washer and dryer. I am not unhappy with any of these - performance wise.

We just purchased an LG kitchen package including the glass top electric LG range with knobs on the front (LSE4613/LSE4611) and had it delivered on 7/11/20. We have had it in our home for one week and weve accidentally turned the front knobs on multiple times by reaching into the microwave, cleaning the back splash, or reaching above into a cabinet. The knobs should not be that easy to turn. They are a push and turn style knob. We went back to the store to begin an exchange process for a model with the knobs in the back, but we are very disappointed because we like the appearance of this style much better. We are shocked by how easy it is to turn these knobs and really dont want to have to resort to ugly child proofing on our brand new appliances. Is there a better option?

Purchased the LG Direct drive dishwasher. Stainless steel with all the bells and whistles. 1 year after purchase, I received an error code on the machine, stating its retaining water/moisture. Called LG Customer service provider. They walked me through the steps to fix this issue. Two weeks after this issue the machine made some very loud noises, along with showing another code. This time it was the motor that had gone out on it. I was told I needed to send receipt, as I refused to pay for service. Keep in mind it had water issues already. So I sent the receipt, and they fought me, along with denying my claim. It didnt stop there. I finally got someone out here from LG to fix for free, after a lot of time on the phone, and no use of dishwasher for 2 weeks. The repair man came out. He was very rude. Along with tipping dishwasher and spilling water all over new floor.Well my problems did not stop there. Its only been 2 weeks since fixed, and its showing the error code for water /moisture again. Little did we know the first error code was leaking water under my new floor. Ive called LG Customer service again and got the run around. The service rep also told me this is a known fact about the machine, and there have been issues with it. Its been 3 days and no one has reached out. But heres the worst part of all this. My floor has now been tore up, and restoration has come out due to the known issues, and all the water that has leaked out under my floor. After only a year and two months after purchase, our LG dishwasher (LDS4821ST) is obviously having a drain pump issue, and thankfully we purchased the service plan at Home Depot. This washer sucks. It has become noisy, the panel freaks out and sometimes you cannot choose certain wash cycles, and now this drain pump issue. Its a huge piece of **. Follow my advice, since I know people with more expensive washers - get something like a Bosch or, if you really have the cash, a Miele. If you purchase an LG, you will regret it. Oh, and we also have an LG refrigerator, which also sucks. Although there are no real problems yet, it cools unevenly, and even when the unit is set at 36, some zones read 42-44 degrees (I have a digital chefs thermometer), which is in the danger zone for food (40/140 rule).

Cheap Plastic part. I have a three year old LFXS29766S LG Refrigerator. About 90 days ago we scheduled a service call with LG to replace the water and ice dispenser assembly ACQ85430259 which had cracks and other damage to the plastic. This was not warranty, we paid for the part and the service. About a week and a half ago we noticed that some of the plastic had crumbled away again for no reason we know of. We are an older couple with no children or teenagers that might be destructive. We called the infamous LG support number and at first were told that the part would be covered by the warranty on the part, not the warranty on the refrigerator. Since then we have been getting the run around. Phone calls and explanation in each call. Three days ago we got a customer service rep in Ohio and not Bangladesh. She said she understood and would expedite the situation and someone would call us. Never happened. I called again and got Bangladesh again and after painful explanation she said the part was out of the 90 day warranty by 5 days so we would have to pay for the replacement. I explained that I would never pay for anything from LG again. Instead I will post pictures of the problem all over the internet to make people aware of doing business with LG.

At less than 2 year of age my LG top-load washer malfunctioned and flooded my house. According to the washer repairman their assembly was such that the washer pressure sensor hose was wrapped around an arm and the vibration caused it to come loose, resulting in the washers inability to sense the water level - so it just kept filling. Not only did LG not stand behind my nearly new washer, this machine is pure junk. I know to watch and check that hose frequently although I can say its never had another issue with the assembly correction. Problem is it just doesnt clean. The water level varies such between loads that I always stand there to make sure enough water flows in to actual get all the items wet. I realize one of the so-called features is less water usage....but seriously if they dont get wet, its hard to clean. I noticed my whites and bright colors look dingy after a few washes, so I started watch closely - this is how I discovered the water issue. I now wash my clothes 2-3 times to get them clean enough...thats sad. I HATE this LG and will never purchase another of their products.

Absolute nightmare dealing with this company. Our refrigerator quit cooling
Absolute nightmare dealing with this company. Our refrigerator quit cooling, common issue we found out. LG sent out repairman they determined it was the compressor, replaced it, still wasn’t working. They sent them out again and it was replaced a second time and still didn’t work. The repairman deemed it unfixable. We were told if it was deemed unfixable we would get reimbursed for the fridge or a new one, they had us email them our sale invoice so they could get us a new fridge. That was a lie. They sent the repairman out again. They had them replace every part in the fridge and guess what it still doesn’t work. Our refrigerator has not worked for 4 months, they have sent their repair company to our house 8 times. That is 8 days of missed work waiting on them to get here and work on the fridge. We have been told by a few of the customer service people on the phone that this case is getting escalated. Well it hasn’t. We have been told that if we were without the fridge 30 days it would get replaced that was a lie, not fixable it would get replaced also a lie. So we call them once again to let them know it isn’t working and now they say they can’t send someone out until January 7th. That’s another month without the damn fridge. We are beyond fed up with the poor customer service and absolute lies we have been told. Do yourself a huge favor and do not buy from this company.

We have all LG kitchen appliances, less than a year old. The fridge is making a horrible loud noise. It sounds like a motor blade is hitting into something. LG keeps telling us that there is no one in our area to come check it, we live an hour from the Chicago area. The noise is getting louder and after researching we read it might be Ive build up or the defrost system. Im worried the motor will overheat and go out. They keep stalling, we just got an email that they cancelled our service call, but we never had a service call scheduled! Please help.

Let’s see. So my French door fridge (model # LFC25770SB) is only 2 years old. Weve had it since May 2010. It was bought brand new from Home Depot for our new home. It has worked fine until 11/14/2012. I came home from work and the entire bottom cavity (freezer) was thawed out and everything completely ruined (my Thanksgiving meal, since we went shopping a few days prior)! The freezer isn’t keeping anything cold, so therefore neither is the fridge! The fridge was 47 degrees when I got home! I called LG on their emergency line the night it happened and was told that the food that I lost would be covered in part. Not the case! They refused to cover anything. I have to wait up to 3 weeks for a new part, which I have to pay out of pocket for, and the labor that is included in fixing this part! Needless to say, a 2-year-old fridge was obviously a piece of **! I lost over $500 in groceries, not to mention the insulin that I had in the fridge because I’m a diabetic! LG lost this customer! And I doubt they will care to do anything! All they say is they are sorry! Must not really be sorry, because I should have gotten a reimbursement for some of the product lost because of their ** appliance that broke after, seriously, only 2 years! Do something LG!

I had the same problem with one LG knob on my $2,000 stove. One quick phone call to LG and they immediately shipped me a complete set of new knobs that arrived in under 10 days. Way to go LG for taking care of your customer and recognizing the issue with the plastic stem on the knobs.

I liked most features such as the touch screen to change my water temp and the temp inside my fridge and its drawers. If I want the meet at a certain temp I can tekk it the temp I want. I didnt dislike hardly anything on that product. I really love temp control from the outside of the product itself. I dont have to stand in the cool air and then decide if I need to rearrange things before I will be able to accomplish what I wish. I would buy another one so yes it met my initial expectations as it keeps fruit ripe and veggies from fermenting. I can hold veggies for weeks before they are black.

I bought an LG Washer and dryer less than 4 years ago. I have a protection
I bought an LG Washer and dryer less than 4 years ago. I have a protection plan for them, contacted Home Depot where I purchased it. They said it sounds like a manufacturer defect. Gave me the number of LG. Told them my Washer was peeling and rust was falling on my clothes, They told me they do not cover manufacture defects and rust, and it is cosmetic. How can they say it is cosmetic if it is dropping rust on my clothes? They did offer to send out a tech to my house for a charge to order a new piece but I would have to pay for it. I thought LG was better than this and would stand behind their products. Never again will buy an LG product again!

Poor quality and terrible customer service. We purchased new refrigerator one year ago to go in vacation home. After 6 months of light use, compressor on ice maker went out. Have been trying to get it repaired since February to no avail. Custom service at LG is a total joke! They keep saying they have contacted a repairman but I never hear from the person and when I try to call repairman, I get an unidentifiable voicemail and my calls/messages are never returned. Four times, I have asked LG to contact a different repair person, but they keep calling the same guy back. They are now hinting that my warranty is close to lapsing, but I have been trying to get the repair completed since there were four months left on the warranty period. If you want aggravation in your life purchase LG, if not, purchase Sub Zero or KitchenAid. Ive owned both and never had a problem.

I have an LG side-by-side refrigerator. Keeps freezing up. Ive had service work on it. I have changed the parts out on it, put new parts in it and it continues to freeze up. I have called the service people about it. No one wants to seem to help me and I too have had a bad experience with LG and I would not recommend to buy LG products to anyone especially that home products as far as the stove refrigerator or the dishwasher. Im hoping that I can get this resolved or are thinking of getting people together to file a lawsuit.

We purchased a new LG french door refrigerator from Spencers in January, 2015. The 2 year full warranty was purchased at that time. The refrigerator compressor broke in May, 2018. The compressor was warranted but NOT the LABOR ($600). After researching, found there are tons of LG compressors going bad. LG should stand up and warranty their bad products when they know there is a problem. There is only 2 of us using this appliance and should not have happened. $2,500+ and this is what we get. I will never purchase another LG product!!!

Our washer (LGWM2301H) was purchased 3.5 years ago. Recently, it developed a grinding sound that was amplified when spinning. A repairman charged me $80 to tell me that the bearings were going and, OF COURSE, that particular problem was not covered under the warranty (whatever the hell is), and that the repair would cost more than $500.My husband and I are both a little shy of 70 years young and do just a few loads a week. Also, we have used numerous AMERICAN-made washers in our lives that never broke down but just were replaced due to age. This expensive LG was a treat for my retirement; my husband wanted me to have the BEST. Well, as it turned out, we bought the BEST of the Asian junk market or wherever this jewel was conceived - LG has taken care not to provide that information. It has been hauled away today and been replaced by an ALL AMERICAN-MADE MAYTAG top loader. The downside of this is that LG screwed us out of $800. (I could have had my laundry sent out for that amount.) But the upside is that, hopefully, LG will continue to put out junk and screw itself out of the market with the rest of the junk producers. It is refreshing to know that the MAYTAG IS ONCE AGAIN COMPLETELY MADE IN AMERICA, BY AMERICANS - WITH COPPER WIRING AND NO ALUMINUM JUNK . Go for it, LG. I can only hope that you will continue digging your own grave.
