I will never buy an LG refrigerator again. They have very poor customer service. They are very good at giving you bogus information and youre calling customer service in the Philippines. My refrigerator went out on a Friday and LG gives me two supposed authorized dealers, one never picked up the phone and the other one was closed at 2:30 and I couldnt leave a message because of a full mailbox. I took it upon myself to get someone out and had it fixed by Monday. If your product goes out on the weekend forget it.The one supposed authorized dealer said they dont fix LG refrigerators in Arizona anymore and LG still continues to give out that name, the other one said they couldnt get someone out for a week. They are very good at jacking people around and it ended up costing me 743.00 for a new compressor which is covered by LG but they said since I didnt call who they told me to they werent covering it. I had Sears products for 20 years and never had a problem. As a company we keeping signing on for these foreign products and they just dont last. I will never purchase another LG product and I will tell as many people I know the same information.

We purchased our first LG fridge in 2013 and then it was working great at the time. Got a second one for the cabin in 2017. Well... The 2017 broke and it was the compressor and this weekend the 2013 cap out, no more cold air... Probably compressor too. I certainly hope that LG will do something about their problem. Very disappointed.

New refrigerator, ice maker quit and while we were gone for 3 weeks, water leaked all over the floor, ruined baseboards/floor. Called for repair. Have been promised a technician and or calls for 4 days now with NO callbacks and no technicians. Weve been lied to again and again, and still no fix and none in sight. Defective product, impossible service! Never again would we purchase an LG product!

We had purchased both the washer and dryer at the same time from Lowes while building our home. I documented all of the steps we had taken and responses from LG on our repair. Went back to Lowes (where purchased from) and asked to talk to the manager. After showing him the paperwork and relating my experience he allowed me to exchange the both machines. The appliance manager worked with me and I picked out a Whirlpool Duet W&D. They scheduled a date to pick up the LG units and deliver the new Whirlpool units. I couldnt be happier with the Whirlpools, and received the difference in the cost back. I did initially call Lowes headquarters to ask if they would exchange my machines and was told that it was up to the manager at the store I purchased them from. I was very calm and respectful and had all of the paperwork to show the manager. They were really great. I will never by LG again.

The LG dishwasher model number LDP6797ST is the worst dishwasher I have ever had! It does not get anything clean. Ive had to buy $10 booster powder and it still doesnt get the dishes clean. Now, I cant get it set for anything. It stops mid cycle & Dings at me for no reason. It will run back 6 minutes and then it stops and starts dinging again. I cant figure out why its dinging and what it wants. The manual is entirely too technical for me to understand or to mess with. Ive been washing dishes in the sink by hand! This dishwasher was in this house when I bought it and Ill make sure I never do that again. First chance I get its out. I would give it a zero stars if that were an option. I hate this dishwasher.

It has a freezer and the normal fridge part and it has two doors which is convenient for everyone that uses it and there were no issues with it at all. LG has a great fridge that causes no issues and works great. It was recommended to me by a friend who also owns LG and they had a good experience with LG without any issues at all. They have had the fridge for years and have had no issues and that is why they recommend it to me.

So excited to renovate kitchen. Never had LG appliance but heard great thin
So excited to renovate kitchen. Never had LG appliance but heard great things so invested in ALL LG appliances: French door fridge, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. Fridge: Linear compressor went out at 9 months. 20 phone calls and runaround before I could get LG to agree to service. Now, 6 months later, FF and E code seemingly freezer fan motor is defective. LG service tells me to unplug it for 8 hours and let it defrost all over My hardwood floors and “just put down towels.” And... If that doesn’t work, you need a new motor. BTW: The fridge to the floor is about 1/2 inch so no room for a towel.Gas’s range: Buyer beware. The knobs to light the stove will ignite if you lean on them and then slight turn. People with small kids are taking the knobs off. That is how easy it is to ignite the stove. Just last night my guest almost caught her sleeve on fire from leaning on a knob when talking to another friend. This stove needs recalled. I have tried but fell to deaf ears. Someone is going to be seriously burned, just a matter of time.Stove: Front started rusting 3 months after I got it. Of course they claimed user error. At that time only had used it about 10 times. Inside looked liked it had never been used. Got some of it off but still can see it. Washer: If you don’t clean the rubber gasket EVERY time you use the washer, water will run out the front. So far, knock on wood, love the dishwasher, microwave and dryer.Have had many defective things before and the difference is the service; standing behind products, great customer service, no hassle. That’s what keeps my business. I understand not everything is perfect, but take care of it and you will keep my business. LG FAILS in ALL OF THE ABOVE. Try to get ahold of them and when you finally do, it turns into us vs. them. Sooo disappointed and sick to my stomach knowing I now have another fail code on my fridge to deal with. I’m going back to Samsung. Much better quality and service.

Bought a nice looking LG fridge 3 years ago. Worked for about 2 years. On the 3rd year, the freezer does not cool. Called LG and was able to get a technician to come out. Fridge was fixed after $280 in labor. Was told the compressor was bad and there was a leak in the system sealed system. Thank God the parts were under warranty. 11 months later, freezer is not cooling again now. Call LG and they wanted $125 trip charge plus $250 for labor before they will come out to take a look at it. Give me a runaround. For a $3000 refrigerator I would of expect it to last more than 3 year. My old $700 whirlpool fridge lasted me 10+ year.

My LG refrigerator stopped working yesterday at 3 years old. So LG covers the part but I have to pay $572.00 to have the new compressor installed. And on top of that the parts are a week out and I cannot set up the service appointment to replace the bad compressor until I have the parts in hand. And I was told LG is very bad at getting the parts out. So once parts are in hand I need to set up the appointment and oh by the way they are 2 weeks out because there is only guy that can fix this LG compressor. So that make 3 weeks without a fridge. So I am upset with LG. I looked in my house and I have an LG washer and dryer, 2 TV, sound bar and stove. Do you want to guess who is done with LG products? THIS GUY!

LG gas stove lrg30357st - We purchased stove 2010. Knobs one-by-one cracked broke. We use pliers to turn on off this $1600 stove. We have had many instances prior to using the pliers where house has filled up with gas... I have called LG several times but they want $85 each and what we read is they continue to crack and not work. $85 x 5 is a lot of money. I cannot believe consumer affairs has not taken this serious problem to the next level.

I am in line with the numerous reviews I read concerning the quality of LGs
I am in line with the numerous reviews I read concerning the quality of LGs product, specifically the model WT1101CW washing machine. Mine rarely completes a load, of any type, without giving the ue or UE error codes. And the machine programming is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. For example, when it finally does get to spinning good, it will stop only to restart so it can screw up. Maybe it is intentional. You cant rely on the machine to complete a load. You HAVE to babysit it and restart it up to several times for each load. It takes so much more time, energy and water than the old school machines. Why are they allowed to bill it as high efficiency or energy efficient? I have talked to LG many times about this and did everything I was supposed to do from checking machine level to letting AE claims technician come here because LG said it needed a software update to lame advice like using low spin speed. The bottom line is LGs product, customer service, and technical support are of the poorest quality. I will never purchase another LG product and I definitely will discourage anybody I hear of that is shopping for appliances or any product that LG makes.

About 2 years after our LG gas dryer purchase we began hearing that thumpin
About 2 years after our LG gas dryer purchase we began hearing that thumping sound which we now know to be a cracked weld on the dryer drum. It was frustrating to have to replace such a major component, but we reasoned that sometimes parts fail. Our bigger problem however was that during the period that the drum operated with the crack, it was rubbing metal on metal in one little spot (according to our service technician) and created a super fine black metallic power that continued contaminate anything we tried to dry that was white, long after the replacement drum was installed. The replacement drum has since gone out of round. We do not abuse this dryer in any way. It runs about 6 medium loads of wash per week. We wrote a letter to LG requesting some sort of assistance to remedy our problems and received the usual form letter rejection. The worst part is that even though the dryer stills runs, it continues to thump because of the out of round drum and we basically have to dry any whites that we want to preserve at the local laundry mat. What a spectacular mistake this is for LG. They have made us disciples preaching Never an LG product again to everyone we know.

Bought top load washer & dryer. Very first load ripped almost new $85 shirt and washcloth half. Called LG and they sent repair person out to view shirt and washcloth. Told to return it to HH Gregg and get a new washer, did so and contacted LG to pay for shirt. After sending tons of pictures, many calls, they refused to pay since I no longer had the original machine (go figure??? Their LG repair person said to return it). Often have to rewash clothes, not enough water, loud, major wrinkles, etc. Then a recall for the machine comes and schedule appointment with LG for repair person to handle recall. They come out, update software to the machine??? and then tell me not to wash anything in the machine that sheds water (waterproof? like mattress covers, etc.). Hmmm. Then he tells me my dryer doesnt dry because there are sensors in the dryer that get coated with dryer sheet film and it confuses the dryer. Oh and the replaced machine ripped another shirt, even though you have to button shirts, pants, and turn inside out!!!! LG washers/dryers dont wash and dry like regular washers and dryers we have all been used to in the past. The new save water costs more water and electricity by having to rewash and dry so many times. LG COULDNT CARE LESS EITHER AFTER YOU HAVE BOUGHT IT! We will never buy LG again and if you can hang onto your regular washer, do so. Its better for the environment and your state of mind.

Bought an over 1200.00 new stainless steel refrigerator on the weekend of July 4th 2019 from Lowes. Today is October 9th 2019. Problem started 10/5/2019. This is 3 months old!! Model LDCS24223S/01. Serial number 904 MRUY 07478. The refrigerator cooling totally quit. It reads 66 in the top while being set at 33. Smart services was useless. Spoke with 3 representative who promised I would be called promptly with a service date. Was texted a link regarding service that led to page unavailable All of our food was ruined. I am an older disabled woman who depends on the refrigerator to keep medicines. I need the help of others to obtain ice for a cooler. My partner works out of town. Case number **.

We have owned a LG French door bottom freezer refrigerator for about 3 years. The following problems occurred: 1. Ice maker failed and had to be replaced. $500.00 for labor and parts. 2. Ice maker cannot make enough for drinks for a dinner party of 4 throughout the evening. 3. Ice maker chute flap door will not close and allows ice to melt and then freeze and clogs chute. 4. Freezer will not drop temperature below 28 degrees. Soft ice cream. Its a good looking large capacity refrigerator but it is not a GOOD WORKING refrigerator.

Bought the dishwasher 4 years ago. Rack system collapses when you load plates - had to jerry rig something to prevent from happening, the hose discharging the water leaked after 3 years of normal use (very thin, cheap hose I had to replace), had numerous occasions where it would not pump water out so had to manually remove the water and it would then worked again until now when it is not longer pumping. I think I am going to start buying disposable appliances - the kind that cost less you dont feel bad throwing away after a few years of use cause they did not cost a fortune...

I purchased an LG refrigerator from Home Depot. Most expensive refrigerator they had on the floor was $2800. I have had nothing but trouble with it. It has leaked 4-5 times ruining my floor and now it is not cooling or freezing. No one here in Cheyenne will even work on LGs. The repair business report has difficulty obtaining parts as they have had customers waiting for over a month to get parts so they will not service them. I am left with either cutting my losses or having someone come from over 60 miles away try to come and service. Be aware. Do not purchase LG because of their poor availability of service and parts and poor quality.

For a long time we had a Maytag dryer and loved it but when it finally died
For a long time we had a Maytag dryer and loved it but when it finally died we decided to get an LG dryer to match our LG washer which we have had no issues with. We purchased the dryer from Home Depot and since it was brand new it has melted MANY items, mostly coats and blankets. I have wasted tons of money replacing damaged items and and scared it will result in a fire. At first I just thought it was because the dryer was fancier than I was used to and I needed to learn how to used its technology but after learning the ins and outs it has continued to happen time and time again. Now I just air dry a lot of items to avoid them burning and melting which is a huge pain. It even has melted several infant Muslin blankets which is not what I would consider a material sensitive to heat. I’ve honestly just been avoiding contacting customer service knowing it will just be a hassle but I am beyond frustrated and after looking up see there is a class action lawsuit for LG dryers catching fire so I plan to contact them ASAP to get resolution. In the future I will go back to my tried and true Maytag.

We are an LG household. Washer, dryer, and refrigerators. Our main kitchen
We are an LG household. Washer, dryer, and refrigerators. Our main kitchen refrigerator, a 2016 model, stopped working in July 2019. First failure. LG send out their authorized repair technician who came and changed the compressor. It worked for about 2 weeks and died. That was the second failure. LG sent out another technician who said the previous technician had done an incomplete repair, he said he completed it, and left. The refrigerator worked for a few more days, then died again. That was the third failure. The fridge has now been non-functional for over a week, and the repairman is not scheduled to come for another week. It is not good to send repairmen who are unable to perform a satisfactory repair the first time around, not to speak of the extreme inconvenience of losing three refrigerators worth of food (from three failures in the span of a month). Looking back, I would have much preferred a replacement machine after the first machine failed, or a refund after the second failure. We are now on the third failure and not thinking good thoughts of the LG refrigerator company.

When I first had a problem, the ice maker was overflowing the tray and free
When I first had a problem, the ice maker was overflowing the tray and freezing it to a solid block. I had bought this and kept it in storage while building so by the time I had actually used it, the warranty was gone. They were no help at all and I never talked with any people who were less knowledgeable about a product in my life. They did nothing and then later called to see if their service was okay. The only thing they ever said to me was that they never heard of that problem before--never made an attempt to help in any way. I finally found a parts supplier and ordered a new tray and found that they had changed the design because the one that came with it was defective when built. The new one doesnt work good either. It still overflows and I have to break the ice up with a knife. It is a constant struggle to get it to work. Now after a couple of years dealing with that, I started to get a buildup so that it would freeze the whole system up and I could not get any ice out the chute. This time the flapper on the chute was broken and would not stay in place, which let warm air in and melted and refroze everything up. This means I have to take it apart every week just to get it to do anything. I have taped it together with Gorilla tape and hope it will work until I can change it for a new one. This product never worked from day one and it has been a constant struggle just to use it. They have been zero in help in any way. Their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. This is my last LG anything.

My LG French Door refrigerator was just under 2 years old when it stopped cooling. Bought it on 9/15/2015, and it died on 9/10/2017. Called LG to find a certified repair person, and not a one would provide service to me as I was outside their service area. This was despite only being 30 minutes away from a Home Depot from whom I bought it. I went round and round with LG on how to service this refrigerator and their lack of repair service. The closest certified LG repair shop would not repair LG compressors! Really!! LG gave me the OK to use a local repairman, they diagnosed it as the compressor, which it was, but would not touch it. Another local repairman told me no one wants to service these refrigerators. Finally found an LG repairman farther away than 4 others who would not service it, and he charged me $750 labor (due to mileage of 70 miles) to come out and fix the compressor which was under warranty. He told me that this compressors are cheap foreign made units and do not expect them to last more than 7-10 years. He said the LG refrigerators are poorly made, but pretty on the outside. Dont buy an LG refrigerator due to this well known problem, and the fact that LG certified service is not available even though they are sold nearby. Go with Kenmore (Sears) and other USA serviced products who at least will service their products.

LDG4313ST Gas Range - Since buying this range in December we have had 3 maj
LDG4313ST Gas Range - Since buying this range in December we have had 3 major problems. 1. Finish on bottom panel peeling off. 2. Convection oven making a loud noise, spewing soot, and setting off our carbon monoxide alarm. 3. Oven temperature varies hugely. I contacted LG the first time letting them know I read the owners manual I was given and saw nothing about foil placed on the bottom to catch drips. I make an apple pie during the holidays and for years I have always put foil on the bottom of whatever range I was using to catch the drips. Never had a problem before. Got a form letter saying that though placing foil on the bottom was a common practice that in THEIR ranges you could not. I further investigated their manual and found something in troubleshooting about it. By then, it was too late. The form letter gave no information about how to get a replacement panel. Poor customer service number one.The first time I tried to use the convection oven it smelled weird and then set off the carbon monoxide detector. I found soot on the front glass door. I entered another complaint. This time they sent out a service person. He called them and turns out this is a known problem. The oxygen/gas mix is too rich. So we have been waiting for over a month for the mod. I call appliance company. They say its back ordered with no known date for coming in. I also have them order the base panel. They got the part number. 50 bucks. Irked me, but figured at that point it wasnt that much, I would pay for it.After a long 40 minutes on hold to get to customer service at LG I was first told the mod was back ordered. Then I was told that it was the base plate that was back ordered and they could get the mod part within 3 or 4 days. I said, Fine, fix the dang convection oven so I can use it. Even though there are only 2 screws to install, they say base plate must be put in by a tech. They confirm they wont pay for it, even though we have been waiting a month to even get any news about parts.THEN, this weekend I attempted to bake a cake. I have noticed some issues with cookies, but managed. The cake rose as it should in the middle and then fell by the time I looked again. I checked the temperature and according to the panel, (I shut off and then turned back on to see what temp it thought it was) it was down to 250 when I had it set at 350!!! What the heck!!! I then checked the complaints on LG stoves and many people have problems with widely varying temperatures. LG has refused to allow techs to replace the control boards saying this is how they operate!!! They have come up with lots of excuses with customers. At this point, I have no intention of calling them back. I am copying all the complaints about their ranges and going to see if I can get Home Depot to take it back. Its a piece of junk. If they wont take it back, then I will start with LG. I want a refund. I do NOT want another stove from them. I will never again buy another LG product. They have awful customer service and dont seem to give a crap about the fact their products dont perform as they should. One positive note. The melting knob problem is fixed on this model. Only if the ranges worked.

We bought an LG freezer on the bottom french door refrigerator a couple of years ago. One year later, the computer board went out. It wasnt in the warranty. We had to pay for a new computer board. We had to spend a great deal of money for ice in the ice chest to keep things from spoiling. That went on for 3 weeks until the new board arrived. The LG stopped working again soon after. We had to buy a new one, this time, a Maytag. It was bought Oct. 28 and today, the freezer stopped working. Now it has started up again. Very strange. We had given our 15 year old Whirlpool refrigerator to our daughter when we bought the LG and that old Whirlpool is still working like a charm. Thats because it has no computer board on the back! Why on earth do name brand companies compromise their name by manufacturing these inferior products now and use a computer board? They take no pride in their name. Their refrigerators are made in Korea, not the US, and are made to be disposable. Never mind the expense to the consumer. Can anyone tell me why there has to be computer boards to run a refrigerator? They are never reliable. I would love to bring a class action lawsuit to manufacturers of these appliances and computer boards, but dont know where to start. I am sure everything is made in Korea. Shame on all those manufacturers!

Never will I buy LG products again! My 35 yr. old Fridge finally died. So I bought just what I wanted Door in Door stainless steel. In 11 mos I lost ice cream in my freezer, Logan Appliances installed a new computer board. Well it is April 11, 2020 and it’s done it again! I have NO confidence that this won’t happen again. I paid almost 2000.00 for a piece of junk... I intend on going on EVERY forum I can to get this resolved once & for all... This is Saturday but on Monday 4/13/2020 LG will be hearing from me! I have read the many reviews (bad) on LG. I am willing to take legal action, if they do not satisfy me once & for all.

My LG Electric Range with convection option malfunctioned and caught fire today, Christmas Day 2011. Its model LRE30755 ST/01 and manufactured in June 2007. A wire between the main compartment of the oven and the lower warming drawer compartment (inside the oven) arced and the heat melted a hole in the metal at the bottom of the oven. Essentially, the metal was on fire.Fortunately, the house did not burn down. The oven sort of shut itself off, and it did not trip the circuit breaker. It is out of warranty. Ill be calling the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the PA State Attorneys office in an attempt to get this product recalled. It is dangerous.

Purchased a new counter depth LG refrigerator in April 2015 due to the remodeling of our kitchen. Unit was delivered in May and put into operation during early June 2015. Unit ran fine without problem during the warranty period (one year). In late July 2016, approximately 2 months after the warranty expired we experience ice forming on the back of the inside of the unit. Eventually the fan started making noise and the temperature inside did not seem cold. The unit then displayed a code of rf. Since it was out of warranty, I researched LG refrigerator problems and now realized all the issues with LG and their lack of customer care, so I called Sears Home Service. The technician visited the house, inspected the unit, researching the error code and determined the problem was a failed motherboard. Technician ordered a motherboard and advised he would come back when we received the motherboard. We received the motherboard a few days later, advised the technician of the receipt. He promptly came out the next day and replaced. In summary and based on other reviews, I am just another customer who bought a LG refrigerator for a couple of grand and just after the warranty period had to pay approximately $500 to enable the unit to operate. LG might look good but either the design or quality of parts is inferior because it appears my problem was not unique. Advice to future purchasers is avoid LG. Look for a reliable brand.

Approx 13 months after purchasing this nice LG French Door Refrigerator, Model LFXS30726S, the door display panel had a strange looking black leakage appearing at the bottom. This continues to get worse. It was outside of Mfg warranty (of course), purchased from HHGregg. Took pictures, tried to work with HHGregg, LG, and the service contract company---all said this was a cosmetic issue. No harsh cleaners have been used, no misuse or abuse. Now a year later its even worse. LG customer service is horrible, no help whatsoever. Warranty company continues to say cosmetic. So after spending over $2000 for this refrigerator, its my problem. I will not buy an LG product ever again, and I tell everyone I know to stay away from them. This is why I am writing this review, so other consumers wont be caught in a similar situation.

I have a 3-year old LG gas stove. Today, out of the blue, the burners start clicking and all 5 have the sparks going on. When I turned all of them on, they ignited without a problem, but the burners kept clicking. So, I checked the caps and when I touched the back one, I received a really good shock. I then unplugged it. I didnt know you could get shocked from a gas stove. Is this a fire hazard? Are there any recalls? Something is really wrong.

Unbalanced Flaw UE - LG Front Loader Extra Capacity - Paid way too much to get extra capacity - would love to have my basic front loader back! Extra capacity is worthless if you cant get the load to spin & finish because of the UE code. Ive had to throw away pillows I washed. No problem in my last machine, because this way overpriced LG wouldnt spin it - not alone, not with other items, not after being wrung out, hung to drip dry, not on low spin - NOTHING. The True Balancer is a joke - it is directly causing the problem. What good is an EXTRA CAPACITY washing machine, if you cant wash more than a normal load in it anyway? The time Ive wasted standing in front of this machine, hoping *this time* it would spin, rebalancing items by hand - makes me sick to think how much we paid for this piece of junk. Good luck with customer service - they said there is no recall even though there is post after post of the same UE complaint, and they *might* call me back once the customer service person logs my complaint. Never asked me for any contact info so Im not sure how that will happen...

My washer is 1 1/2 years old. Just before it went out of warranty, I noticed the bleach dispenser was starting to rust. I called LG and was told not their problem and if I want someone to look at it I have to pay for a repairman. I told them NO WAY. I would be glad to send pictures, still they said no. A couple months go by and I start to notice rust spots on my clothes so I called back this time. I was told there was a recall and they would fix that first then look into the rust problem. Repairman comes and just like everyone else did not fix the unbalance problem. I insisted on him taking pictures of the now very rusty bleach dispenser. After many calls, they finally agreed to fix. Well see. They are due here this Friday. This machine is junk!!!! I welcome a class action suit!!!!!!

Had my washer for just under four months. Extremely disappointed when it failed and leaked gallons of water on the floor. (Luckily, the washer is in my basement.) I contacted LG service at 10:00 a.m. on 1/6/15. The tech, Nate, showed up at 3:00 p.m. the same day. He ordered the part, water pump, which was delivered before 10:30 a.m. on 1/7/15. I called Nate to let him know that the part was in. He was at my house at 5:00 p.m., the same day as the part was delivered. I read all the reviews, including people waiting 6 weeks for a repair or replacement. I didnt hold much hope for having it fixed in a reasonable amount of time. My customer service and repair experience was, fortunately for me, great. Im not sure if I would recommend the washer as my old washer lasted 8 years with approximately 8 loads per week.

Bought 2 LG French door refrigerators in January 2017. Paid about 3 grand each. April 2019 1 of the fridges stopped cooling. Called LG. Repairman came out and said compressor not working. He returned a week later. Replaced compressor. 4 days later not cooling again. Everything melted, water on wood floors. He said motherboard not working. Waited 1 week with a broken fridge and motherboard replaced. 4 days later found water on ground again. Everything melted. Called again and said will change out compressor again. Need to wait 1 week again. 4 days later broken again which is tonight. This should be illegal. Are they going to do this for next couple of yrs until warranty is expired? In meantime we have to suffer with a broken fridge every week? Anyone with suggestions on how to approach? I wrote complaint to BBB also. Now we have to call LG tomorrow to get repairman out again. This will be 4th visit for same problem.

Purchased an LG front load wash machine July 2013. Unless the wash machine is running the door is left open. We are having terrible mold issues. I can clean the mold off of the rubber seal where it is visible but there is a lot of mold where the seal meets the drum and the rubber does not fold back. I have tried cleaning it with a toothbrush and bleach since my finger barely fits in the space but the smell is still horrible and there is no way to wipe the mold out of the small space. I know the problem isnt detergent because I only use one pod per load and dont use fabric softener. I would definitely not recommend an LG front load washer!!!

I purchased a brand new LG top loading washing machine and dryer a few months ago and have had nothing but problems with the washing machine. Not only does it NOT clean my clothes, but it actually causes yellow stains to appear on my white cottons. I have contacted LG a number of times and they have just given me the Royal runaround with absolutely NO satisfaction. They have had me do smart analyses and even sent a serviceman to my house twice when I have tried explaining to them multiple times that there is nothing mechanical wrong with the machine...its just a manufacturers design defect (that would be LG). They refuse to listen or agree. I have tried 5 different detergents and now they want me to try pods and even buy a water softener which I do not need because my water is not hard. I had a Kenmore for many years before this lemon, and it worked just fine with my water. I begged LG to exchange this washer for one that actually cleans since I have a warranty as well as an extended warranty and they refuse to do anything at all. They asked for images of the damaged clothes which I sent and cant even get a call back not to mention the fact that the call center is in the Philippines and communication is very difficult and frustrating. They have worn me down which Im sure has been their purpose. My husband and I went out today and had to purchase a new washer and dryer and pay a whole lot more money and take a beating. LG should be ashamed for giving us NO assistance with this faulty product. We did NOT purchase an LG product today nor will we ever purchase one again. They are NOT honorable with their guarantees. So, Buyer Beware! I am happy to lend further info or advice to anyone who wishes to contact me.

Im not typically a person who takes the time to write reviews, but felt it was necessary to at least call out the so many wrongs with this product and the service that follows... IN CASE IT HAPPENS TO YOU. I read the reviews and saw some of the complaints about frost build up and thought, eh it wont happen to me... WRONG. Not only was I wrong, but during COVID-19, sending a tech inside your home to fix a problem with a fridge that is LGs poor quality performance is frustrating enough, BUT having that same problem occur again 24 hours later - NOT ACCEPTABLE. LGs only recommendation is to send a tech out again. HOME DEPOT is not held blameless in this either. Instead of standing by their customer and offering an exchange/refund, they explain that its an LG problem, not Home Depot. AWFUL. A day after the frost build up still hadnt been fixed, a grinding noise began, the plastic that divides the two doors broke off, and the error message showed up and wouldnt reset. To this day I have an error message on my fridge, a loud grinding noise and a frost build up freezer that doesnt work. My food goes bad earlier and earlier each week. LG said all they can do is send a tech out. I have a son with an autoimmune disease. I refuse to have more techs come to the house during this pandemic. LG has zero understanding of peoples rights and needs during this time. The answer is lets send a technician out on a work day to work on the same exact problem that they never fixed in the first place!! This is just a snippet of the issues, not to mention, their customer service EXECUTIVE lead member hanging up on me after I waited over an hour due to call volume. RUDE! Nightmare purchase, poor quality fridge that breaks down a month after you buy it... The worst customer service for both Home Depot and LG.

In 2008, I purchased an LG kitchen-stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. Within weeks, the dishwasher presented an error code. Within a year, the refrigerator presented an error code and one by one the knobs on the stove began to fall off. My dishwasher was repaired and continues to function, the refrigerator was replaced after 40 plus days of wrangling with LG. But even the replacement is crap. Frost builds up in the freezer and Ive been told by an LG technician that there is nothing that can be done about it, that I would need to unplug it from time to time to defrost it. Stupid took me back to the 1950s with that suggestion. When I called about the knobs, I was referred to a dealer that would sell me some for $78.87a piece.I bought the knobs, but I am not happy with LG products. So much that when I replaced my washer and dryer last month, I did not buy LG. When I have guest in my home and they ooh and aah about my LG appliances, I tell them that life aint good! I purchased an LG refrigerator on 5/19/13, model # LFX3194ST, and purchased the 4-year warranty. On 8/14/15 the freezer and then the fridge began to thaw and re-freeze. I called the warranty service and had an appointment scheduled for 8/18/15 between 8-12. The repair technician showed up at 1:30, and after doing diagnostics, said I needed a new compressor (on a refrigerator 2 years old). He ordered the compressor and said it would be delivered on 8/19/15 (and I am sure it is likely a refurbished compressor), and it did arrive, and is still sitting on a bench where I left it in boxes. The technician, Hugo **, then scheduled a 12-4 appointment to replace the compressor on 8/20/15. On 8/20/15, Hugo called at 3:30, and said he had an emergency and needed to reschedule. He rescheduled with me to arrive between 11-12 on 8/21/15. At 2:00 pm on 8/21/15, I called him, and he said he would be over in about one hour. I called him again at 3:15 pm, and he again said it would be about an hour. I had an emergency of my own arise, and called to see where he was at around 4:15 pm, and he said he could be by in 15-20 minutes. I asked if he could wait and come at 5:00. He agreed, but said the visit would take 2-3 hours, which I find to be a long estimate of time when the part is already available. He was angling to reschedule, so I asked when he could. He said he could be over the next morning at 9:00 am, so I decided to allow the reschedule. He never showed or called.I called the warranty department through Lowes to complain. I was told I needed to deal with this technician and take a slot on Monday from 8-12, or I could start over with a new company. They also said the company that was supposed to come has one technician, Hugo, and that he does not work on the weekend, so the warranty rep said, he lied. The next appointment for another company (only other company offered) was 8/28/15. If I started with a new company, the compressor at my home could not be used. So my choice is to take the appointment (like I really believe he will show) or start over. I did work out that I could call another company, but I would also need to start over and bill Lowes. I was also told I could get a rental refrigerator and bill Lowes. Highly doubt I would ever see the $, and the hassle factor would be very high. They have you coming and going.I will NEVER buy anything LG again, and will likely never shop at Lowes again. This warranty is sold by Lowes and they should be bending over backwards at this point due to their poor choice of vendors. No bending noted, so no future business from me. Steer clear of LG and Lowes as far as I am concerned. I included the warranty program # below.

I have a model number LFZ65960ST LG Refrigerator. I have not been very happy with this refrigerator since I purchased it. First of all, it dents and scratches very easily. Second, I received a notice a part needed replace for a recall due it causes the electric to increase. Lastly, this morning December 26, 2011, we woke up to make breakfast and discovered the eggs were warm. We looked up at the light in the top of the refrigerator and the light cover melted the sockets are black, and everything on the top shelf of the fridge was hot and starting to cook. It ruined all the food on the top shelf of the fridge. It melted the butter in the butter holder. We had to throw away probably $50 worth of groceries. My biggest concern is if we hadnt been home, my house could have caught on fire. We removed the light bulbs out of the light and the light cover is completely ruined, I cant even put it back on the lights it wont fit. I read where there is a lawsuit regarding other home fires caused by this problem. I want to get my refrigerator fixed and I feel there should be a recall for this problem with these refrigerators. I was told I could send the microwave back to LG and they would replace me with a brand new one. Not wanting to wait, I decided to return the microwave to Home Depot where it was purchased and was given a full refund. Because Home Depot‘s return policy includes a 90 day exchange or refund, I decided to purchase a different brand. I will never buy another LG product again. This microwave needed major repairs within 18 months of my purchase. The first repair happened when it was still under warranty but I had to pay for service and when the second repair was needed, the warranty had expired. I called LG to ask for a warranty extension with the argument that a relatively new appliance should not need major repairs twice. In fact, the microwave I had replaced with the LG was over 10 years old and had never needed a repair. I replaced it because it was old looking and I was remodeling my kitchen. LG would not extend the warranty and the repair with service would cost more than replacing it. I argued that they should replace my microwave but was denied. Again, I will never buy an LG appliance again.

I tried resetting the wash load by pressing the rinse/spin button thinking it was just a temporary problem and still would not work. Now all it does is make a loud rumbling sound. I called Customer Service and they told me that the rumbling sound was either the rotor or a bearing. This isnt the only problem Ive had with this beautiful, red W/D set. We bought this electric oven with the convection option because it was a super deal. We would buy again because of the ease of usage, the easy self cleaning and the extra cooking rack. We especially like the options in two of the top burners to change size of heating element to better accommodate the pan being used. Lastly it has a warming/maintenance burner option also. We love this stove!

I bought this machine because it was oversized to be able to fit in large loads of clothes and bedding. Every year I have had it, it has progressively had more problems than the last. The last three visits were about the water coming out of the drum and they did adjustments. First they told me I could use the top speed to get water out. The next breakdown they readjusted it and said I could not wash waterproof clothing or water resistant clothing and that it would break the machine. WTF? I bought it to wash my clothes not just some of my clothes, however I followed their advice washing winter coats and gloves and bedding protection outside my house. Now its broken again same issue. I had a regular size load of jeans in it. STUPID machine!!!! Worse yet is the customer service - they dont understand English and they will disconnect you multiple times and one call in will take two hours out of your life!!! DO NOT BUY!!

It is a normal refreshing with the freezer on the top and the cold ones on the bottom. It has lot of storage in the door. Keep the temp well. It is opens on the top and on the bottom. I would love to have more room. Things dont fit in there correctly and lots of smack not being used. I would like to have a way to take out all the shelves so that cleaning is easier. But I know they last a long time and they do not break a lot. I looked at Whirlpool for the same resonance I would like to look at Wolf because I would like to be a huge set up.

It has met my expectations. The price was decent. I really liked the look of the fridge inside and out. The size of the refrigerator was just what I needed at the time. I like the stainless steel exterior of the unit. I like the available space inside. It is quiet when it operates. It is easy to clean an looks great in my kitchen. The only negative comment I would have is that the temperature seems to fluctuate a little bit sometimes. Sometimes the food in the freezer is rock hard and some times a little soft esp. The ice cream.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Do not buy anything from LG. I have owned an LG top-load washing machine since 2012. Four months ago, it stopped working in the middle of a load of laundry and trapped the entire load in the washer because the un-lock mechanism didnt stop working when the washing machine did. The first technician told me to buy a new machine and break the lid -- on a 6 year old machine! Then the fun began (to quote many other reviewers). LG phone representatives do not give you a straight answer, do not understand the issues, dont follow up, refuse to acknowledge your issues, and even LIE -- I can go on and on. In addition, LG corporation itself is running a scheme of taking advantage of consumers by ignoring their complaints and then charging exorbitant prices for parts so that consumers are forced to purchase a new appliance. After 3 months of back and forth because I could never get an answer or a supervisor/manager, I finally learned that the parts alone to repair the machine are estimated at over $400 (again, not including labor), which would bring the repair cost to about the cost of the machine when new.

Bought an LG LMXS30076S refrigerator July 2016 and Sept. 2017 everything suddenly thawed out. Called LG several times and they said it would be on me since I didnt buy the extended warranty. They sent me the # for the 1 and only place that handles their repairs within 60 miles of me. I called them and they didnt even want to deal with my refrigerator since they said they always have issues getting LG to reimburse or pay them for parts and service. Id have to pay $89 to just have someone come out to diagnose. They came a week later and said all the Freon leaked out and I would need to have the entire cooling unit rebuilt. It would cost $1200 in parts alone! I called the store I bought this from and they worked with LG and they said they would cover it (how nice of them).Parts came in 2 weeks later, I took the day off to wait for the repair guy. He worked on it for an hour and ran into an issue reaching a part in the unit that he needed to access. He called LG and asked how to problem solve this, they told him to cut it apart and solder it after installing. He asked who would be responsible if he did this and further damaged the unit. They said it was his problem and hung up on him. LG you should be ashamed of whoever you have employed to handle these calls. And you have repair contracts with technicians you treat like crap! Useless junk refrigerator and Im stuck with it? I think a class action lawsuit is in order.

Oh but nobody shows up to repair my freezer after my wife took a vacation day so she could be home when he showed up. I returned a call back to customer support and the gentleman said to hold on he was going to call the technician. Then he comes back and tells me that he can’t get in contact with the technician but here is his number you can call them. After calling for the last 4 days still nobody to repair freezer! But oh does it get better because this morning now the refrigerator part is not cold. So again I contact customer support and the guy tells me he can’t get in contact with the technician. We have tried all week long what makes you think you could contact them today. Then customer support told me that he is going to change repair technicians and the earliest they could come out to repair would be 2 weeks. I said I can’t go 2 weeks without a refrigerator, could they reimburse me with another refrigerator. The answer is no we can’t do that till the technician says it’s un-repairable. So okay geniuses what do you do for 2 weeks with medication that needs to stay cold and not being able to afford eating out every day for 2 weeks. LG sold as Kenmore Elite Model 29002 - I bought a top-load washing machine in April 2012 and loved this machine. Then, I receive this “must do recall” on the washing machine, and I took care of this service on February 28th. Well, that was the biggest mistake of my life. I hate this washing machine. It takes hours to wash a load of wash. It continually gets unbalanced while trying to spin and then starts to add water and try again. This becomes continual and you never know when your wash is going to be done. The express wash of 35 minutes ended up to be 75 minutes yesterday. Tomorrow it could be another time, and the day after that, another time. If you are not having issues with your machine, skip the recall service. I am wasting my time, my clothes are getting worn out from continual washes at one time, and my electricity bill is going up. Plus, I have an expensive washing machine that is probably soon going to the dump because I know they are not going to give me my money back.

Constant repairs. Every component has been replaced. Today July 3rd, 2016 the machine gave me ERR codes and stopped working. Also the garage smells like burning rubber and the spinning was slow and the machine was struggling. Tuesday the 5th Best Buy is scheduled once again to repair this machine. This will be the 6th repair. What makes me mad is that I had a Samsung Front Loader that was like new that I gave to the delivery man from Best Buy. Now I have a hunk of metal junk. I agree with what everyone has to say about these new washing machines. I bought the LG 1101 washer 2 years ago. Chose this model as consumer reports gave it a raving review. After doing a couple loads I felt that the machine wasnt washing the clothes very well - white streaks on dark clothing, dry spots on clothes, not smelling clean at all so I would watch how much water would go into a load - not much! I pulled out a grey dress shirt after a full wash cycle & could see that it was completely dry in certain areas! I called LG & asked them if they were the right people to call or should I have called Sears (where I purchased it). Of course they said I made the right call as they would send a repairman out & because I had the machine for only 2 weeks. I should have called Sears because then I could have returned the machine!Anyways repairman said that the machine is doing what its suppose to do - senses load & puts water accordingly. I showed him a picture of the shirt & he said he understood. He has heard the complaint many times. He said to get around the not enough water issue was to open up washer so it thinks youre adding more clothes so then it will add more water. What a waste of time having this machine is! I have been doing this with every wash load but sometimes I forget because I dont have time to wait for it to start filling. I now put about a bucket full of water (about 10 litres) into the machine after putting the clothes in & then start up the machine. Pretty pathetic that I have to do this to a brand new machine. I absolutely hate my new LG washing machine. Wish I had never purchased it. Its really too bad as I was so excited about getting it as I had never owned a new washing machine before.

I bought one of LGs “French door” models in July 2014. The compressor has already gone out. Initially, I really liked the unit, with the exception that the ice maker in the door did not stay cold enough and the ice melts together and has to be thrown out every few days. I was willing to overlook this because the rest of the refrigerator worked great. Produce stays fresh for several weeks.I am giving this refrigerator and LG 1 star mostly because of the service, which is almost non-existent. I wish I could give it 0 stars. I knew that the compressor was out because I woke up one morning and both the refrigerator and freezer were warm, even though the lights and water dispenser were still working and I could not hear the compressor. I tried to “diagnose” the issue so I could let the LG representative know, but it would not give me a reading. The ability to use your smartphone to diagnose issues was one of the selling points of this refrigerator. However, I had to wait two weeks (including over Labor Day weekend) just to have someone come to confirm that the compressor was the issue. The service person opened the refrigerator and used his own phone to determine that the compressor was out. I had to pay him the $100.00 trip fee for him to do something that I should have been able to do. Then I had to wait another 8 days for them to order the parts and come back to install the new compressor. The day before the second appointment, they called to confirm that all of the parts had arrived, but only 2 of the 3 parts had come. They told me they were cancelling the appointment and rescheduling it for another week out. I had to demand that they keep the appointment and I tracked down the missing part myself and picked it up at UPS. Finally, the technician came to replace the compressor yesterday, and I immediately knew something was wrong because it made a loud vibrating noise that has not stopped, which began as soon as he left. I called him and left a message but didn’t get a callback. He had indicated that it would take until this morning to cool down enough for food storage. I decided to wait it out and see if the noise would stop. Not only did the noise not stop, but the refrigerator and freezer are still warmer than the inside of my home.I now get to wait another 5 days for them to come back to re-check the refrigerator. I do not have a second refrigerator, so I am living out of a dorm-size refrigerator and buying ice at the gas station. My interactions with LG and A & E Service have been so negative and their service has been so slow that I have decided to use a different brand of appliances in a new home that is under construction. I will never buy another LG product again.

We bought an LG refrigerator despite people telling me their appliances are bad and had problems almost from day one. The poor service guy from the place we bought it was over daily to try and fix our ice maker. Bottom line, we have to pull out the unit about 1/2 an inch or the thing that lets the ice fall down wont close. It gets better. Today I took out the bottom glass shelf that goes above the crisper drawers and put it in the sink (with no water). When I went to separate the glass from the plastic shelf, it sits on it shattered into a thousand pieces all over me (cutting me) and my kitchen. As a courtesy, LG will send me a new piece of glass! I am very upset and very frustrated! I bought a full suite of LG kitchen appliances just over 2 years ago from HHGregg and invested in a 5 year (HHGregg premium) warranty to cover all of the appliances. In just 2 short years I am having trouble with all of my appliances and am currently waiting on a service call from HHGregg (whom I will never buy appliances from ever again). Found out today that the HHGregg warranty is not as good as the paper on which it is written! One complaint is the LG microwave oven. It stopped working (the plate will no longer rotate and will not heat up). Apparently, there is a default in the design of the LG microwave ovens that fit over the stove. The heat from the stove causes the microwave system to stop working. LG and HHGregg should replace my malfunctioned microwave oven with one without this flaw! No LG told me to contact HHGregg! HHGregg offered me only a 200.00 store credit! This cost does not replace my microwave! I feel robbed by LG and by HHGregg! Shame on both these companies!!!

2013 LG 3-Door French Refrigerator, out of warranty. Ice maker quit, replaced. Still no ice. Makes cubes but have to manually cycle the ice maker. Fridge only cools to 50 degrees, freezer only to 22. Cleaned coils, cleaned connectors, checked wiring. Compressor hot, fans running. No obstructions to air vents & ducts. Feel cool air blowing out. What an overpriced, short lifespan POS. I will bet that the 15 year old GE side-by-side that was replaced is still working great. LG... NEVER AGAIN.Updated on 7/21/2017: Jaime of Sears Appliance Repair came by to diagnose the fridge today 7/19/2017. 4 year old LG French 3 Door Refrigerator Model #LFX25991ST/02 TL;DR... DONT BUY LG! READ THE REVIEWS! The original issue was the ice maker would freeze cubes but not automatically harvest them. The tray would fill, cubes would freeze and I could manually run the harvest cycle but 2 trays per day (one morning and one night) was not a serviceable solution. I replaced the ice maker and same problem. After further reading, I measured the compartment temperatures and both the fridge & freezer were a bit too warm even at max cooling settings on the door. So the ice maker sensor never got a cold/frozen signal to harvest the cubes.Fridge was @ approximately 50 degrees and freezer approximately 25 degrees (will still freeze cubes) measured with a Harbor Freight digital thermometer. This was checked dozens of times by me in the weeks prior to calling for service as I tried to troubleshoot the problem by cleaning the coils, checking for obstructions to air flow, check for anything burnt, broke or otherwise defective... Removing the freezer contents and all drawers and popping off the rear cover panel we saw only a little icing on the freezer coils area. Jaime said that there should be even icing on all the coils. Mine had icing only on the top row pointing to a weak compressor. The repair would be in the $500-$1000+ range. And even if it was repaired, there was no guarantee that it would be permanent and last. Even replacing *every* part would not guarantee success as there could be a leak or obstruction in the lines inside the refrigerator walls and they are not repairable.Looks like a new fridge is in order. Jaime had five LG repairs on the schedule for today! Dont waste your hard earned money on LG! This one was 4 years and one month old to the day. BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT waste your hard earned money and valuable time on an LG. They are notorious for blown compressors and major issues requiring the totaling of the refrigerator and repurchasing a new one. This one has cost me $3030 (refrigerator) + $174 (service calls) + $150 (ice maker) for 4 years and one month of use. LGone of the biggest POS and worst appliance investments ever.

My LG refrigerator is less than 4 years old. Over the last 4 months, ice has been forming on the walls of the freezer. In May, the freezer was making a humming noise. I have a maintenance agreement with an outside company for all my appliances and home. I called them. They said the main board is no good and I would have to pay the deductible for the part. I called LG and asked if they would cover the part. I was approved, but then they kept changing the rules. One rep said they would send it out to me. Then the next time I called, they said I would have to use their company for repair which would cost me $250. When I got the manager (who was so rude and could not care less), said she would send it directly to my maintenance company. Then the next time I called to see if the part was sent out, she said the maintenance company would have to call for the part. When I told her the company wont do that because LG wants them to insure the part, LG said there was nothing they can do. Their customer service is awful. How can the main board on the refrigerator go in less than 4 years? Their products are junk. I will now have to pay for the part I was approved for. What a horrible company. Never buy LG products!

My LG refrigerator (7 years old) compressor failed, LG does not want to cover labor to replace it. There is (was) a class action lawsuit against LG about faulty compressors so it is a known issue. None of LG authorized repair shops in my area wants to fix this compressor issue. I also called 15 local repair shops and I heard multiple times that even after a compressor is repaired it is about a 50% change that it will work properly. Thats why repair shops dont want to fix them. I am not in a position to spent $600 for labor cost now especially if I may need to pay the same cost again because the compressor issue was not resolved/fixed. It is a very expensive problem that LG has created and knows about and LG has to be willing to repair the compressor at no cost to customers because it is such a persistent problem. LG is refusing to cover the cost of the compressor itself and the labor cost to replace it or provide a refund for the refrigerator so we can afford to buy a new one.

On 3/5/16 while cooking a potato in my microwave, the unit started on fire. The microwave shut off and I needed to wait for the fire to burn out before opening the door. It was obvious the unit was irreparable. I contacted LG Customer Service in 3/7/16. At first, they tried to tell me I was to blame. Misuse of an appliance because I placed the potato on a paper towel. The manual states a paper towel, paper napkin, paper plate are ALL acceptable. The CSR refused to believe me until she read it herself. Finally, she agreed I was NOT at fault and told me someone would be in touch with me within the next 10 business days. I uploaded photos of the damage as requested. 10 days later a rep from LG Property and Liability contacted me. Please upload more photos, which I did. Was there any other damage? No. Any loss of life due to the fire? No. Okay, well theres nothing I can do. Youll have to go back to Customer Service. Now Im back to where I started again facing questions about misuse because of the paper towel. I was advised I would need to pay for an LG technician to come to my house to determine if it was repairable or a total loss. I didnt think I should be expected to pay for the technician since I already knew its a total loss and the photos support that. I asked for a manager. Theresa got on the line and told me the same thing except she said I would need the microwave receipt to show the technician. I explained this microwave along with a refrigerator and stove were purchased by the former homeowner just prior to my purchasing the home 3 years ago, so I did not have the receipt. Well, there is NOTHING I can do for you. Youre not the original owner. So after their appliance starts a fire, and 3 weeks of answering their questions, uploading photos, waiting for their assistance, I was advised Im on my own. They will do nothing for me.

LG needs to have a class action lawsuit filed against them or we all need to file claims against them in small claims court. We have most of the same issues as everyone else: Tromm LG washer and dryer. Washer model WM2277HW and dryer model DLG5988W. The washer smells like mold and always has. Slimy, moldy gasket, towels and bathroom rugs come out smelling like a barn, especially the washcloths. Soap dispenser does not drain properly; dryer does not dry. We have had multiple service calls and nothing gets more than a temporary fix or they declare they cant find anything wrong. These units were supposed to be the best and we have been putting up with them far too long.

I liked the refrigerator. A lot of people recommended it to me to use because they use the same good brand. It reliable and something you can depend on. It keeps a sense of clean. Kept my food frozen. All my food and drinking items was fresh. Every time I put some in the refrigerator it was wasnt harmed. I love my ice maker and all the good features on it. I could recommend the refrigerator to anybody to try out and use. I bought it at a reasonable price and value. The refrigerator has met my expectations. Kids lunches and all are fresh and well kept for the next day. All of my food is safe and ready to cook each time. The refrigerator has been good and I love it. I would recommend it to family and friends or anybody looking for a good brand.

We bought all new higher end LG appliances. Dishwasher, range, refrigerator, and microwave. Fridge had a catastrophic failure at just over one year, luckily we bought the extended warranty. Then the ice maker died at about year 4. The micro broke in the first year (under warranty) and again at about year 3, (I was able to fix). The dishwashers rack rusted out at about year 2, again warranty and then the dishwasher just died at year 5 and may be too expensive to repair. The range has been problem free. The entire line of appliances appears to be inferior with regular breakdowns. Now that we are out of warranty we will replacing with different brands as things continue to die. All in all we are very dissatisfied and will never buy LG again.

Washer is 2 yrs old. Electronics are messed up. It waste a lot of water. Piece of junk. Dryer is 2 yrs old. The electronics are starting to go junk. Wasted over 1000.00. Buy the old time Kenmore washers and dryers. You should get 15 to 20 yrs out of them.

Bought my house 1.5 ago and brand new appliances came with it including the LG refrigerator. Don’t get me wrong I LOVED this fridge at first, however December 31st my compressor went out. Called LG the next day they said a tech in the area would call us to schedule a diagnosis. Took the techs three days to call us. I won’t hold that against them because it was the holidays however the earliest they will be out here to diagnose my fridge is the 14th. That is TWO weeks without a working fridge and this is just to diagnose it.When I called customer service again I found out the technician may not even have the part to fix the fridge when he is here!!! To top it off local people where I live will not touch LG products because of a lawsuit going on with the compressor and the hassle it is to be paid and receive the parts from LG. Even if I could find a local appliance tech to fix it it will still take LG a week to provide them with a letter of approval! So it puts me right back at two weeks or possibly more without any means to cool my perishable items unless I buy a ton of coolers and ice or a mini fridge which still would not fit all of my items. If I could give LG less than a star I would. Poor products and absolutely no care for their customers. The next appliances I buy will be anything but an LG.

MY EXPERIENCE HAD BEEN HORRIBLE! HERES WHAT HAS HAPPENED. Called hhgregg where I purchased refrigerator in March 2016. Leak started August 2016. The phone menu automatically routed my call to LG Customer Service. They said they dont repair damage to home but will repair refrigerator. They made an appointment to send an LG technician in two days. I had to call a water damage company in the meantime because water had leaked through the wall into a hallway and a bedroom. Water was under tiles and was squishing in the carpet. The LG technician finally came. The refrigerator was moved from its niche in kitchen. The technician discovered the problem. He said it was a defective valve in the ice maker. He said theyre (LG) going to hate this but its on us (LG). Called customer service again. Customer service representative, finally agreed to give us a claim number and gave us a number for Product Liability. I kept calling that number but no one ever answered and no one returned my calls. I finally got another number from customer service rep. Bottom line is the estimate to repair and restore is around $6225. They said they will pay $4224. I cannot get my home repaired for that amount. My refrigerator is still sitting in the middle of the breakfast area and the ice maker cannot be hooked until the repairs are made to my house. The defective refrigerator caused all the damage and LG should pay the full cost of the restoration. The Product Liability department has been very disrespectful and rude to me, a customer who purchased one of their products. Does anyone know who I should call at LG to resolve this issue.

LG French Door Refrigerator Freezer LFX33975ST - Purchased 8/13. Freezer fan motor replaced twice. Just went out for a third time. Besides that it never can make enough ice. After complaining and seeing service techs I was told the problem was resolved in a newer model, but there was nothing they could do for me. So after paying over $3K for the unit in over a years time we are on our 5th service call. I would NEVER buy another LG product!

We purchased an top of the line all stainless steel LG Washer and Dryer from Home Depot in 2009 and from day 1 had nothing but trouble with both of them. The washer was constantly out of balance even though the washer had the true balance system, then the computer board went bad, then the door switch and drain pump quit. The dryer has never dried correctly, it always takes about double the normal time to thoroughly dry. It has cost me over $500.00 to keep them running for less than 5 years, LG should be in the junk business as they excel at it.
