Purchased May 2016. As others mention here, started failing a few months ago by not making ice. Now not cooling as expected. LG CS asked for a service call $110 to tell me the compressor is bad and that I am out of warranty. They told me the compressor is warranted but I would have to pay ~$500 for installation. After they forced “The Hulk” out of me, they asked me to upload my invoice and they were going to request full warranty coverage. A week and multiple calls later, no resolution. I paid little over $3k for this fridge, expecting at least 10 years out of it. Please avoid this company...

This is the worst machine ever. They are now selling a 2 year old machine at local flea markets to see if a sucker will buy it. True Balance means it will never truly balance and will not wash one load of clothing without it taking you hours. This machine might work on cement and only cement because if it is on a wood flooring it will not work.I have found that if I load clothes, it keeps trying to sense the clothing, then I shut it off, restart and let it go. I can get half a cycle done until it spins then is off balance again. Then you shut it off, turn it back on to spin. Shut it off, then restart with rinse and spin... You can sometimes get it to work. The worst design ever for this high priced piece of junk.LG is not a company I will ever purchase from again. Do not buy this machine and do not take this machine if it is given to you for free. All other comments are true. It will not wash clothes. It just spins around and uses endless amounts of water to balance. Hours upon hours for 1 small load. If you have this machine do what I listed above. Have the exact same type of clothing, start a cycle, let it get it wet, when it gives you the error message shut it off, restart when clothes are wet, then when it does the IE shut it off, restart on spin, then restart on rinse/spin. You can get one load done if you are lucky.LG is a horrible company. My LG phone failed after a year, the Washer has never worked... and other items. No more LG. Life is not Good with LG. Life stinks with LG and you pay the price. We paid over $900.00 for this washer and it never worked right. We are seasonal so by the time we returned the warranty is up and they cant find the extended warranty in Lowes system. Go figure. The call center was also a joke. Not in the USA and they tell you you are out of luck. Stay away from LG.

We purchased an lxsc22396s refrigerator and it stopped working within 90 days. We purchased this refrigerator on 05/24/18 (paid over $2000 for it) and on 07/23/18, it stopped dispensing water, the ice melted, it stopped cooling, and cost us over $250 of spoiled groceries. We contacted LG and they sent out a technician who perform a reset and stated that it will start working in about a week. We contacted LG again to request a loner fridge until ours starts working again. Jovy from LG told us that they cant do anything about it and we just have to wait until they fix it. Very poor customer service from LG. We also submitted a request for a refund for $250 of spoiled food. They told us that all managers were busy and would call us back later in the day. They never called us back. We havent had this refrigerator 90 days and its already giving us problems and costing us money.

We purchased an LG refrigerator (model LSXS26326S) on April 28, 2016. It was delivered and installed on May 3, 2016. On July 30, 2018, it stopped working, ruining approximately $300.00 worth of food. We contacted the store of purchase (Home Depot), and were told because we did not purchase the extended warranty, we would have to pay for repairs. We then contacted LGs customer service line, and they directed us to a local LG authorized repair provider. They were going to charge $125.00 for a visit to assess the issue, and if the parts were covered by manufacturers warranty, they would charge an additional $250 for labor... If not, who knows what the charge would be. Now, I understand wear and tear and paying for repairs, but a lightly used refrigerator (mostly just my wife and I in the home), breaking down after just two years of use, seems like faulty craftsmanship. I then went on LGs website and chatted, first with a representative, then with a supervisor, both of whom seemed less interested in a quality product than with pushing their warranties (which would not be as needed with a sturdy product). The bottom line was, they are not responsible for their product breaking after only two years, and we were responsible for any repairs. After this experience, I went on consumeraffairs.com and read numerous complaints of a similar vein, $1,500 - $3,000 refrigerators breaking after only a couple of years, with no support from LG. I received no help from LG, so I contacted my local news stations consumer affairs department in hopes of bringing to light LGs poor product quality and non-existing customer service.

This is the worst washing machine I have ever purchased. It takes forever to get a load of wash done and there are spots on the clothes when finished. It doesnt use enough water to even cover the clothes. For more water, you have to set it on Extra Load, and then it takes 3 hours to wash! The programs for selection are awful and limited. For this machine to cost so much, I thought it would be top notch. WRONG. My next machine will be a trusted GE. I had a GE washer for over 10 years that washed clothes very well. This LG washer is terrible and I wouldnt recommend wasting your money on it. It looks pretty, but it doesnt wash well. Ultimately very disappointed.

This LG dishwasher cleans the dishes very nicely. Its quiet, offers a variety of cycles, looks good, etc. Of the ten or so dishwashers Ive owned over my lifetime, this one is my favorite. Things that I like about the LG dishwater: very quiet, thorough cleaning, looks attractive, lots of options inside for placement of dishes, drinkware and pots, and a pleasant little tune when each load is done.

We purchased the LG washing machine from Sears for our new home and it never worked right. Sears failed to work with us to properly correct the problem. Finally, Sears came out to repair the machine. However, that made the problem worse. We asked to speak to a supervisor and were told they would call back within 2 hours. After waiting 4 days, we called Sears customer service and again asked to speak to a supervisor. We were told to not call Sears, but call LG. We did and they too sent a repairman (very professional), who said the machine was defective. LG agreed to send us a new replacement. The replacement arrived, but that too failed to work at all. Both the installer and I spoke with LG, that tried to blame it on a water pressure problem. There is no water pressure issue here. The installer stated the new machine is defective. The installers removed the new defective machine and put back the old defective machine. Incredible. Although LG has promised to send yet another new machine, I am now at the point where we will request a full refund. I believe we all have grounds for a class action lawsuit against LG and perhaps Sears. Anyone interested?

I WAS in love with my new fridge. The 25 cu ft. capacity is just the right size for my family of 5. (We also have a deep chest freezer for handling all the meat, icecream tubs, etc). The dual ice makers really come in handy when the ice maker on the door cannot handle the load. (Its quite small, so in summer months, or with guest over, you run out of ice quickly). It has plenty of space and looks gorgeous. Flash forward 4 months 2 weeks later... compressor goes out. I call LG about this issue... and the frustration begins. The incompetent reps on phone tell me that the reason my fridge is not cooling is because I have the temp setting at 2 degrees instead of at 0 degrees for the freezer, and 37 degrees instead of 35 for the upper portion. Ok, a whole two degrees will make my fridge cool. Then they went on to perform this gimmicky smart diagnoses that the unit is equipped with. She did not want to sent a technician out because the smart dx told her that there was nothing wrong with the fridge. Meanwhile there is water all over my kitchen floor because all the ice was thawing and melting out of the unit. I called on a wed. On a Friday a certified LG tech came out. Told me the compressor is dead and that it would be Monday before he could repair it. So now I have been without a fridge for days, with 3 young children in the house.I have called LG and voiced the fact that this is unacceptable for a 2k fridge. The rep proceeded to tell me I would only have to pay for service call! How is it that when you are still under warranty you have to pay for the service call? The technician shook his head in dismay. He could not believe what he was seeing. I placed the call on speaker for him to listen to the ridiculousness by the rep. After my unit seemed defective, I went online and have read tons of reviews on LG fridges needing major repair within the year, and am afraid I was sold a lemon. I want a replacement or my money back. They have not contacted me. I have called and have been hung up on. I was also hung up on, right in front of the technician! You think you are buying a nice piece from a reputable trustworthy company, and the fact is all the contrary. I am so disappointed.

Customer service is horrible. Their English needs much to be desired. My unit was slow to make ice and was not dumping so they had me put my phone to the sensor. She told me I needed to change it from crushed to cubed? Say... What? Anyway found it is a early sign of compressor failure. Their first question was Why didnt you get the extended warranty. I guess they have no faith in their product, normally I have no use for those warranties. It seems like, in my case, products are programmed to self-destruct after the warranty expires. I heard some stories but when I purchased it I was told this has a different compressor it and it is not prone to failure. Home Depot lied! The fridge was 18 months old and within 2 weeks of the new compressor I lost refrigerant and I had to call service, they came out right away and repaired it.Now a week later everything was soft in the freezer again, but they cannot come out until Tuesday. It is 40 degrees in my garage, not cold enough to use as a refrigerator. I lost about 300 dollars in food since Thanksgiving. My old fridge lasted 16 years before it died, and I think it was my fault because I put it in the garage, found out later that not every fridge can be put in a cold area. So what happened to quality control in the day and age? If I was on the board of LG I could not look myself in the mirror putting out a product with this kind of problems.

I bought a $2300.00 LG refrigerator the end of 08. Less than a year later Im having trouble with it. After 6 service calls to my house from 3 different companies, LG decided to replace the unit. Now, just at 2 years into the replacement and it stopped working. I called LG and received the worst customer service on the phone. The compressor was bad. They gave me 3 numbers to call for someone to check it out. One is not in business, one wont come and the third did not return. The compressor is under warranty but what good is that if no one will work on it? I was left with a fridge with bad food and the only option is to buy another fridge.

Our 34-month-old WM3370HVA front load washer started making loud noises and smoking on Aug 20. Here it is Oct 30 and the machine cannot be repaired because not parts have been available. We have submitted our complaint numerous times via LGs website to receive a call back within 24 hours, as the website claims. No return call has been received. We went to Pacific Sales in Best Buy to get their help. The rep spoke with LG customer service and said we would receive a call from LG. That never happened. After several failed attempts to get assistance we spoke with Brenda at ext ** in Alabama. She said she would research our complaint and get back within 24 - 48 hours. That never happened.Oct 17, I spoke with Wendy because Brenda was not available to learn the parts would be at the warehouse tomorrow. Wendy said she would email Brenda and the repairman to notify them. Still have not heard from Brenda. The repairman said he could not do anything until we requested a new work order, by calling LG customer service. Oct 19, after 48 minutes on the phone with various reps and hearing the your time is very precious to us recording 48 times, the call was disconnected. Did the rep call us back? NO!Called customer service again to get an appointment for the repair. They had Monday and Tuesday, next week available. We will be out of town visiting a terminally ill family member and need an appointment after our return on Wednesday. Sorry, they cant schedule that far in advance. We suggested that perhaps there was someone in the company that could schedule an appointment more than one week in advance. The rep said she would see what she could do and call us back. That call has not happened. So two months dealing with LG to repair an expensive machine malfunction is still unresolved. We will never buy another LG product. Avoid LG if at all possible!!

When I bought my house 2 years ago we purchased all LG products. When I say all I mean ALL! Televisions, sound systems, wall ovens, dishwasher, water, dryer, cooktop, fridge, DVD players and EVERYTHING. From the beginning I have had a small leak at the bottom of the washer door. The technicians have been out several times but they say it is a known issue on the LG doors. Apparently even 1 piece of dog hair can cause it to leak. I try wiping the door down every time but that works intermittently at best. My mother has a Whirlpool and several dogs and she never has an issue with hers and only wipes the door when she cleans the washer once a month or so. Needless to say having to keep a rag in front of your washer is extremely frustrating, but what really got me was the customer service.I say customer service but it is really a complete absence of it. When I called them about the issue and that the techs say it is a known issue they claimed my service company was not a factory authorized provider. (They are the largest appliance dealer in the state and only service what they sell because their techs are all factory trained and authorized.) So, I ask them to schedule a visit from their factory tech. 1 week later they email me the contact info for their supposed factory service company. It is a computer/IT company that only services phones and computers! When I called LG back they did not understand why their factory service center outdent work on the washer. So I asked to speak to a supervisor.Sorry for the run on but the supervisor conversation deserves its own paragraph. From the beginning he made it clear he did not care a bit. I explained I had had the service company out several times and it is a design flaw. He disputed that and I explained the techs say this is a common issue they get called to look at. He informs me we are not talking about anyone elses washers but mine. I explain I have over $10,000 worth of LG appliances and this is the one giving me trouble. He tells me since it is out of the year manufacturer warranty nothing can be done. I recommended a 50/50 split on the purchase price for a credit towards the new washer I have to buy. He said they wont do anything and this is not their problem and then hung up on me.Stay away from LG products completely! Even though a few work well, (their wall oven is awesome), the customer service is absolutely horrid. I have never been treated so badly by any company before, even for issues with inexpensive items they at least are courteous and polite, regardless of the end result. LG will be laughing all the way to the bank after you buy your inferior product and we are probably lucky they even bother to answer the phone. Then again, not being able to reach them might actually leave you less frustrated than getting a hold of them.

I like the ice maker and water dispenser and the way the shelves were positioned. It was overall a really nice refrigerator. I love it. I love it. I love it. Purchased this new LG LFX31925ST for $3500 from BestBuy July 2013 and now 14 months later the freezer and fridge compartments are warm and the unit sounds like a garbage disposal. Called BestBuy. They said they have no Geek Squad service in my area 15 mile from both Bestbuy locations in my upstate NY location. So contacted LG customer service several times to get a repair for this unit. Unplugged the Refrigerator for 12 hours, plug back in and it was quiet and cooling till 10 hours later when the noise is back but seems to be still cooling. Did a bunch of troubleshooting over the phone with no definitive solution. Called back this morning to LG to explain to them the current situation and requested a service call. Mentioned to them that the service center listed on their repair website did not return any of my 3 phone calls yesterday. So they gave me another service center that they were going to electronically dispatch. This was several hours ago now and no contact from them. Dont buy LG Appliances!

So disappointed with LG. Have never had a front loading washing machine before so in December of 2014 I purchased both washer and dryer pair. Right from the start the washer made loud banging noises. Was told this was normal for these new type of washers. Okay I thought. But 3 years almost to the date of purchase, I am stuck with a practically new washer that can barely spin due to worn bearings. It would be ridiculous to spend money on repairs... Probably around $500 I was told. I may as well buy a new machine. UGH. I just cannot get over spending over $1000 for a washer that I now have to junk. I do have an LG refrigerator that I love and have had for almost 10 years. PLEASE LG... Do not sell washing machines... Ripping off too many consumers. Rant over.

Oh boy!!! Thank goodness i read these reviews. A few weeks ago i cooked spaghetti and the lg micro above the stove stopped working - control panel out except for : showing. Inside light still on. Left it alone and next morning i played around with door. Voila - number 8 came up on its own. Then one by one things began working again. Last night i cooked spaghetti again. Yep - did it again. Mind you - i am NOT using the micro to cook. But the micro gets so hot from the oven and i believe overheats the micro panel. Again, i unplugged it and went to bed. This morning it again took some fiddling and eventually a beep. So i was able to turn on the light (my main purpose in needing it to work - i need a light on that side of the kitchen). So i reset the time, etc. But as i am reading these scary reviews, the number 2 just popped onto the screen. After reading these reviews, i know it will eventually stop all together. But why i am SO glad that i read these comments is that i will now unplug it whenever i go out or go to bed at night. LG needs to step up to the plate and do a mass recall with a free replacement of another brand until they can get it right. Obviously no one wants another one of these. Who is with me on a class action suit?Thank you all for taking the time to report the extreme dangers of this unit. You probably just saved my house from burning down!!

I bought an LG Tromm front loading washing machine and it is definitely defective. The clothes reek of mold and after calling the company, I was told to leave the door open and to buy tablets to clean the tub. It was ridiculous--with my old GE toploader, I had no problems or issues. Now, the machine has an OE signal for the second time and the washer is not draining. A serviceman came out and said that it was the drain motor. It cost $235.40. The LG recommended technician that came said the motor is only guaranteed for one month after being changed. I have never been more outraged. When it breaks again, I will go to Sears and buy anything but an LG product.

I spent weeks researching the best W/D to purchase. We purchased top-of-the-line LG washer and dryer in July 2012. Now 8 months after purchase, the dryer stopped heating. We have a technician coming tomorrow but LG representative was sure to make clear that it could be our fault and therefore the repair may not be covered under warranty. Now I have found that many people have had the same problem. It is apparent that LG is aware of a defect. Honestly! We were planning on buying an LG W/D for our 2nd house but not now! Its time to do more research.

We have had an LG refrigerator for 6.5 years (Model LFC25765ST). It stopped cooling one day. When I called LG Canadas Customer Service Center (in Manila, Philippines) the agents were all very pleasant and professional. However, the experience to get a qualified technician out to support or repair the problem was beyond belief! The management in charge of this division, or divisions responsible to coordinate, and execute on field service and repair are irresponsible and doing incredible damage to the LG brand. Because LG insists on doing the services themselves, the experience is HORRIBLE! They have authorized a very small number of local companies/technicians to do warranty work as well, but the list is really short, and should include a much larger list of qualified service techs. I have 3 LG appliances currently. When I bought them, they were all serviceable by the company/dealer I bought them from. LG changed that a few years back, and really screwed up the potential to have appliances repaired by qualified companies with a positive experience. The details of all the pitfalls of my experiences over a 6 day period and my 9 different calls to the customer service group are too numerous to list here. JUST AVOID using LG techs to perform service if you already have an LG appliance, and AVOID BUYING any LG appliances no matter what!!!

Easy clean. Does not clean. Did it twice. Did nothing. The heat not high enough to do anything. The water in the bottom of oven is not hot enough, I’m at a loss of what to do, can’t use chemicals or abrasives. My last oven lasted 25 years. Can’t imagine this lasting 5.

I bought an LG refrigerator, and for a while, I could ignore the occasional ice jam in the ice dispenser. After the warranty ran out, the ice machine started to freeze up weekly. I broke the container, trying to dislodge it from the door. So, I bought a new one and experienced the same freezing up problem from week one. I would not even consider buying this product, and it left me with a bad taste for the retailer (hhgreg). Can I rate it 1/2 star?

LG stackable washer/dryer, apartment size, high end - I thought! Two years later, a bunch of drywall have been replaced due to a bad washer install (Best Buy) and 5 visits later from the service team for the dryer, I am tired. No more LG anything ever. The dryer is so poorly designed (its the vent less model - dont buy one) that it takes a team of techs to pull the unit out of the area its in just to press a button to reset the thermostat. Its had three new computer boards in 2 years. The techs pulled the dryer all apart last visit and replaced the entire thermostat rather than just reset it. That was a couple of months ago and it just went south again today. It overheated then stopped dead. I am lucky I bought a service contract from Sears. They have been great, but I hope they just replace the unit soon. Its costing them a fortune to repair. Cheaply made appliances are keeping many techs employed these days it seems. LG? No, never again. And yes, their help desk was useless when I had the 1-year warranty. Now poor Sears has to come out and visit more often than I want them to come. I dont understand why any appliance store would stock items that repeatedly fail.

If I could rate this with zero stars I would! There was nothing wrong with the 5 year year old washer, it was the computer board and LG no longer provides updates! Only 3 years in, Almost every load gets an unbalanced error. You have to adjust the load so it will start again. This can happen 5-10 times before you finish one load, which can take all day!! You can replace the computer board for just under $300???? Why would we keep using this machine or anything from LG?? We have never been so disappointed or frustrated!

Purchased 28 cu ft. fridge (LFSX29766S) 12/15. Worked for great 2 1/2 years and quit. Told compressor was bad. Compressor was covered but labor was $550 plus 4+ days to get one shipped in. Our other option was to buy compressor @ $250 and get it installed next day. I figured $900 and no idea how long it would last wasnt an option. Bought a new one, not an LG. And I will never purchase anything with LG on the product.

Purchased an expensive french door refrigerator in 2015. In 2016 the motherboard went out and we were out of a refrigerator for 2 weeks. Was advised to purchase the extended warranty to lower the repair cost (to $300). Now, in 2017, the compressor is out and we are again without a fridge for a week and lost all our food. The kicker? The compressor is under a 10 year warranty but only for the $160 part. LG is still charging me $400 for labor. Its their flat fee for warranty work, regardless of how long it takes. They overcharge for the labor to cover the cost of all the parts they have to replace. This fridge has cost me ~$1,000 is service and lost food and its only 3 years old. Spoke with supervisor Donald and he was rude, interrupted me constantly, and flatly refused to provide any customer to lower the labor charge since Ive had so many problems with this fridge. He told me to call other techs and see what they would charge--I have. No one else will work on LG fridge compressors because they fail too often. Im filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and sending a letter to the corporate office. I encourage everyone here who is a victim of LG to do the same. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against LG. PO box 240007. Huntsville AL 35813.

I will never buy another LG product again. This microwave needed major repairs within 18 months of my purchase. The first repair happened when it was still under warranty but I had to pay for service and when the second repair was needed, the warranty had expired. I called LG to ask for a warranty extension with the argument that a relatively new appliance should not need major repairs twice. In fact, the microwave I had replaced with the LG was over 10 years old and had never needed a repair. I replaced it because it was old looking and I was remodeling my kitchen. LG would not extend the warranty and the repair with service would cost more than replacing it. I argued that they should replace my microwave but was denied. Again, I will never buy an LG appliance again.

Error message read - ER/1F on our LG refrigerator (model LFX31925ST) exactly 1 year and 1 month (1 year warranty) after we purchased it. We unplugged unit, then plugged it back in and the message went away. Freezer food was slightly thawing and ice maker wouldnt work. Everything would be fine for a couple months, then same ordeal. 2 years after purchase, we were issued a one time extended courtesy warranty and our local repairman replaced the grill assembly fan. Now we have an annoying, vibrating, noise. We just cant win with this poor purchase ($2200). WILL NEVER RECOMMEND AN LG REFRIGERATOR. We are currently registered in the class action suit.

I have had this LG FRENCH DOOR LFX31945ST refrigerator less than a year. It has been noisy since they delivered it but when I brought it up to the tech that had come back to replace the freezer door b/c of discoloration....he made it sound as though the compressors just make more noise in the new ones. So I thought, ok... I will give it some time... Well, as time went on, the noise got louder and louder. I can actually hear it buzzing and whining over my television in the Living Room (so many random noises off and on thru day, I couldnt possibly describe them all). So I call servicing dealer back and tell them still loud and seems to be constantly running. I also discovered while I was researching others complaints that there has been a problem with back wall icing up, so I looked and yes back wall completely iced over.Tech said he hadnt heard of any of these being problems, but Then he heard noise and saw ice. So he ordered new back panel, defrost control and module. When parts came in, he replaced everything. Less than 8 days later, still whining and other noises and now developed a bad smell/very bad smell that when fridge was opened would take over entire kitchen and living room area. By the time tech comes, the smell is not detectable b/c it dissipates over time, only to come back randomly. He denotes no problem found b/c noises werent as loud as they can be when he is here, even though I still think its louder than it s/b. At this point we are very frustrated to spend this kind of money and have so many problems is sickening. Problems continue and I call again, service comes out and back wall icing over again. Tech hears the loud noises (high pitch whine has become a constant, loud sounding fans and an occasional clunky sound) and the SMELL is back. Tech now has witnessed everything. He gets on phone w/ LG and he is told we must have introduced the smell. REALLY! I know we have not but we are advised to try charcoal like for a fish tank filter. I tell the tech that Im concerned b/c warranty is up in June and how do I know if he reorders everything hes replaced once that it wont continue to be a problem later. It had to be an inherent problem and what is LG gonna do about it. I feel they should extend warranty or give me replacement fridge. He did his best to tell LG that they need to do something more... Their solution is its fixable so they reorder everything again (back panel, defrost control and module main). I call customer service to voice my concerns and ask about extending warranty, to ensure this problem actually gets fixed. I am read some script that is obviously told to every customer and the Supervisor I spoke with was not nice. He had a nasty disposition and offered me no resolutions. He just made me angrier. So parts arrived and another tech comes to install the parts. It has been around 9 days and guess what? SMELL is back, noises are worse than they were before this last service call and ice is beginning to build up on the back wall again. So here we go again. I am going to call again, wait again to be notified morning of service call and given a 2-hr window of when they will be here (so I cant plan anything for that day b/c no specific time for service call). Another day wasted, more aggravation and I am fairly confident the problem wont be resolved. Instead I will be advised to purchase an additional warranty coverage since mine expires in June. I am not looking forward to complaining to customer service again b/c, well Ive seen how they treat customers and their philosophy is the customer is always a nuisance and they wont help me at all. So here we go, I will place call and waste another day. Do yourself a favor and dont buy this product, no matter how much you love the lighting, the door in door feature and the versatility of the shelves inside... Trust me - not worth the headache. Oh and not real stainless steel.

Should have started reading all the previous complaints... well I didnt. I called the LG customer service where I was told I was out of warranty that they could sell me a one time fix for $305, this would include a technician coming out diagnosing the issue and all parts and labor. I paid for it, the first repairman came (1/13/17) he unplugged the machine, pressed start and then power for 10 seconds each, plugged it back in and told my husband it was fixed... NOT... I called back, they told me they would send a new technician. He came out on 1/16/17 and said the issue was UNDER WARRANTY (10 year warranty on motor) and the motor is SHOT. He would order the parts and come back out... when... he didnt know. Today is 1/30/17 and after speaking to the repairman who is STILL waiting to get the parts from LG... I spent ONE AND 1/2 HOUR on HOLD with LG and got NO RESPONSE... THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN HELL GET THE PARTS. Im at my wits end and just want to get my $305 back and go buy a new machine. We were looking around and doing some research a few years ago when we bought our first LG fridge. And in that process, we found that we liked the design and the products that they offered. But our most recent refrigerator has been nothing but a nightmare. It keeps failing constantly. And now, LG’s saying they won’t replace it unless I have the original receipt. So now, we’re stuck with a broken refrigerator till I can potentially find a way to get a receipt. I’m extremely likely to go to a different competitor after this experience. We really enjoyed the product, and they were aesthetically pleasing, but a refrigerator’s supposed to refrigerate things.

I loved the look, style, features, and all the different slide out drawers and compartments. I was sold! This is everything I could want in a refrigerator. Then came the disappointment... In the first year, it was getting ice build up on the inside of the refrigerator. Repair said it some kind of software problem, wasnt programmed correctly or something. It is the second year I have it, it will be in November 2016 two years old. Not working again, repair tech says this time the compressor is SHOT!!! REALLY that is the heart of the unit, in two years. So it is under warranty for the part but not the labor. So it will cost $450 to fix. On Tuesday they were supposed to expedite the part. Its Saturday and Im still waiting. I thought expedite meant send it NOW! I wrote a few emails to LG, they responded, Were sorry for your troubles and inconvenience. About 2 years after our LG gas dryer purchase we began hearing that thumping sound which we now know to be a cracked weld on the dryer drum. It was frustrating to have to replace such a major component, but we reasoned that sometimes parts fail. Our bigger problem however was that during the period that the drum operated with the crack, it was rubbing metal on metal in one little spot (according to our service technician) and created a super fine black metallic power that continued contaminate anything we tried to dry that was white, long after the replacement drum was installed. The replacement drum has since gone out of round. We do not abuse this dryer in any way. It runs about 6 medium loads of wash per week. We wrote a letter to LG requesting some sort of assistance to remedy our problems and received the usual form letter rejection. The worst part is that even though the dryer stills runs, it continues to thump because of the out of round drum and we basically have to dry any whites that we want to preserve at the local laundry mat. What a spectacular mistake this is for LG. They have made us disciples preaching Never an LG product again to everyone we know.

May 2018... My almost 2 year LG French door in black stainless steel stopped cooling. Find out because there was water all over the floor from the ice melting. Lost all my food from fridge and freezer. LG replaced the compressor which lasted 4 days and went out again so of course I lost more food. Had another technician come out and took apart the inside of the refrigerator and found there was a leak. He ordered the new part and LG contacted him and told him it wouldnt be in until the end of July. LG gave me option that they would pay for the remainder value of the refrigerator and deduct the years of use or I would have to keep waiting for the part. I opted to wait for the part because they were only offering me a couple hundred dollars for an almost $3,000 refrigerator. The technician knows that this is an ongoing problem that he has dealt with with many customers around MN. I finally have my refrigerator working as of July 14... Thats 2 months without. Now my worry is for how long??? Another issue is the black stainless steel finish is peeling off of the whole set (microwave, stove, dishwasher, and refrigerator). Tiny pieces are coming off in different areas. I dont know how they can get away with this???

Overall I was very satisfied with all of this for the most part and since our old fridge was very small it made life a bit easier. I would improve a tad more space though, and more shelving available for use or drawers. I feel I would have liked it even more if there had been more space or Storage available for the items needing to be in the fridge since we do buy large amounts of groceries at a time. We bought a wonderful french door stainless LG frig with all the features we wanted. Twice we woke up and the fridge temperature was above 45F. We thought that we left a door open or the power had gone out. On the third time - with water everywhere in the kitchen and the interior temperature above 50F we called LG and asked for repair. The fridge is less than 15 months old and we paid $2975. It took most of the day to get through all of the automated phone questions, when we finally spoke to a person they said that they would arrange for a repair company to contact us. That took 3 days before we heard from a company (who gets 1 star reviews on yelp) and it took more than a week for them to schedule a repair person who confirmed what LG told them needed to be done. It has been more than 3 weeks and we still do not have our refrigerator repaired. We have had 3 canceled repair appointments and one that did not show up. LG needs to do better than this. We purchased the top of the line refrigerator - this is our third LG fridge and two of them have had problems but their lack of response for repair is unbelievable. We actually got a call from them asking about our customer service experience - how about terrible? We are living out of an ice chest and all of our food has been ruined 3 times. I purchased brand new appliances in 2016 with them being delivered in spurts due to back orders. The dishwasher Model LDT9965bd was delivered on January 30, 2016 and not installed for a few weeks later. These are top of the line LG projects in black ice. I noticed the finish deterioration on the left side on 2/7/17 so I contacted ABC Warehouse on 2/7/17 and my salesman referred me to their LG customer service. I call the next morning and they refer me to LG directly because they say the warranty was up on January 30, 2017. I did not purchase an extended warranty on this item like I did my fridge and stove. Upon sending my photos she asks me how I clean it. I dont use product on the item and only wipe with a damp dish towel on top where the buttons are. To be honest the dishwasher does not need that much cleaning on the outside (sounds accusatory to me). She proceeds to tell me to call service repair and provided me a local number that I have not called as it will be a cost to me for them to come out. The finish on my black ice dishwater is coming off around the handle on both sides and I have only had it installed since late February 2016. I told her to forget it that I would take this up with my sales rep. At this point I would not recommend LG products if this does not get addressed at no charge. THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. I will not stop until this is fixed at their expense since I spent $1,000 on this item. I thought I was buying quality.Updated on 11/29/2017: Here we go again with the same issue Im going to complain about again. The black ice finish is coming off near the left handle of the dishwasher as I noticed last night. The skin was replaced last year on 2/11/17 and its now almost 10 months later and its happening again. I will again, make some calls to get someone out to replace this at their expense on this expensive item. By the way, I agree with a lot of the complaints about the LG dishwashers. They do not clean well and I hate everything about the inside. Tines to thin, dishes fall over, not cleaned well etc... I miss my old stuff and it was not even broken. I had purchased all new since I had to replace my fridge. The saga will continue.

My husband and I purchased what we thought was a beautiful new Refrigerator but after only exactly 3 yrs we werent very happy. Everything in the freezer defrosted and the coldest the refrigerator would get was 40 degrees and the freezer was 20 degrees. We needed a new compressor and dryer both of which were covered under warranty but the service call and labor cost us $400.00. Not happy.

LG French door model - I purchased one of the most expensive fridges in the LG lineup about 3.5 years ago. It stopped working - no cold air anywhere. I called LG, and they offered me a flat rate deal to send a technician and fix the fridge (about $210). I paid and a technician came. The problem was the compressor relay. He could not order the part because it was discontinued. It took LG 4 weeks to agree that the part was not available (during that time, I was without a fridge). Every time I called to inquire, they told me to be patient. Now, their only offer is to pro-rate the fridge value and pay me around $900 towards the value of a new LG Fridge. I asked for a replacement; they refused. To add insult to injury, they said I am not even getting back the full $210 repair cost because the technician still has to get paid, although nothing was fixed. LG makes a wide range of goods. I will not be buying any of their products, ever.

UPDATED ON 1/20/2021: We contacted LG about the problem that we experienced but to no avail. Even though their instruction booklet told us how to cook bacon (which we followed) the microwave caught fire. Apparently there was a problem with the unit. After going back and forth with them about this problem they finally e-mailed us a letter stating they would reimburse us the amount of money we spent for the microwave. The only thing that was required was that we purchase a new LG microwave, which we did. We had to send them copies of the purchase receipts from both microwaves and the labels off the old one, which we did in order to get the refund. We were then instructed to dispose of the old microwave. Unfortunately they did not hold up to their promise. After many calls on our part with promises of them getting back to us, with what appears no intentions of doing so. Now they are telling us that we were the cause of the problem, and will not refund our money even though they sent us the letter telling us otherwise.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Purchased a LG microwave about 5 months ago. While cooking food according to their instructions in their manual the microwave started on fire. Either the manuals instructions were wrong or the microwave malfunctioned. LG was called and a service person was sent out. We were informed by their service department that the service person they sent out would determine whether the microwave would be repaired or replaced. According to the service person we had been misinformed in that he does not make that decision, and that is left for someone else. We were told that he would turn in his report and we would be contacted. An engineer contacted us and said that the microwave did not malfunction and because there was a fire in it LG is not responsible. Why is it that we followed all the directions but yet they dont want to acknowledge that there is something wrong with the microwave? No pictures are available as damage was on the inside top of microwave.

My biggest problem with this dishwasher is the racks are poorly designed. Whoever designed these racks couldnt possibly ever loaded a dishwasher. Glasses fall over unless the glass rack is full. Consequently, if you dont run the dishwasher every day, as you pull the rack out, any glasses previously placed on the rack, fall over causing broken glasses. The lower rack where one would usually place small plates or bowls is designed in such a way that the posts are staggered so the plates & bowls wont line up. If I ever buy another new dishwasher, Im taking dishes with me so I know they can be properly & efficiently placed.

Purchased on July 2016. Stopped cooling on June 15th. Seems like after reading other reviews, mine is not so different. Compressor goes out and service call takes 2 1/2 weeks to fix. So LG built a bunch of refrigerators that last only three years. Wow, I have a Kitchen Aid that is still going after 19 years. Let’s see Canada or Korea. Would not buy ever again. Customer service horrible. Said they wanted feedback and haven’t heard a peep from them since.

So we splurged and bought one of those washing machines with all the bells and whistles. Rust formed around the bleach dispenser after just over a year. This is completely unacceptable. It continues to grow daily and is not cosmetic to me. I have never had a washing machine rust out on me, what will this look like after 3 years? 5 years? If it lasts that long. There were some huge lawsuits back many years ago with auto manufacturers and rusting vehicles. Maybe an attorney should look into a class action suit against LG. A $1200 washing machines shouldnt rust. If they do, you should get relief from the company not the runaround.

I recently purchased a home wherein all of the appliances were, by receipt, no more than one year to 1 and 1/2 years. I felt that should bring to not have to worry about my appliances. Wrong! My LG refrigerator model LFX31925ST stainless steel 3 door refrigerator was bought by the previous owners in Nov 2016. With no extended warranty the protection in Nov 2017. I purchased the home a few months later and within just a few months both the ice maker and freezer fan stopped functioning. Of course, we are now a little time out of warranty. The expected repair cost actually exceeded the depreciated value of the refrigerator. So now I have dumped this LG fridge with no intention of ever buying a LG product. Buyer beware! New LG refrigerator is a money pit.

While working for my employer on the 9th floor, I smelled an electrical burning/fire coming from our snack room. I wasnt sure which machine it was coming from (snacks, soda, countertop water dispenser, coffee maker, or refrigerator). I later learned that the clock on the LG microwave was out and it was humming. When I opened the door of the microwave, the rotating glass was broken in pieces and the microwave was extremely hot like an oven. I immediately unplugged it, reported it to the leasing office and they notified the fire department. We are not replacing this microwave with another LG.

We had a KitchenAid pour close to 20 years with only one call to the repair shop... This LG dishwasher is going to cost more in repair bills than we paid for it. The worse dishwasher we ever had. I purchased an LG Refrigerator LFX25961AL back in August of 2010. The refrigerator just stopped working on October 26th, 2013. The light remained on inside of the refrigerator and it failed to cool the food inside. I also noticed that the refrigerator was running much louder than usual. The ice inside of the ice maker began to melt and later that evening, the refrigerator had completely stopped working. All the items that I had inside the refrigerator and freezer have spoiled. I called the company concerning the warranty that I purchased along with the refrigerator and they told me that they could come out on Tuesday with no guarantee of the repairs being covered under the warranty. I have a refrigerator full of spoiled food and I am quite upset. Ive only had the product for three years. When you pay thousands of dollars for a product is this acceptable? I understand that things happen but this product should be fine for at least five years. I find this unacceptable. I began to search the internet for answers and I see that many of the customers who bought this product are having the same problem. I wish I could return this faulty product. I will never purchase anything from LG again. Buyers Beware.

Recently, our DLG6988s dryer (part of a combo) stopped heating. Everything seemed to be working, but no heat! We called the point of purchase (POP) company. We had purchased a 4-year extended warranty program with them. The company provided a work order for repair. The repair diagnosis, full replacement as there had been a fire because the lint was not leaving the dryer but instead, getting in around the drum and the harness was damaged. There was no lint in the tube, none in the lint catch area. It was around the drum instead. No repair could be done. According to the repairman, who has seen this before, this is apparently is a problem with LG gas dryers of this model, which they no longer make, and a report was sent to LG.LG informed us that since we had purchased an extended warranty, the POP company would look after us. We went back to the POP company and their extended warranty department told us that the dryer credit would be prorated and we would be given in-store credit to spend on a new dryer. We looked at dryers and to purchase a comparable dryer to the one we have now. The total cost, including extended warranty, is now another $706.00 over and above the credit we were given. We contacted LG regarding the dryer and the customer service rep told us they would not replace it since the LG warranty was up. The POP company will not replace it, but would give us the credit, take it or leave it.We did not cause the fire. We cleaned our machine diligently of lint. There was no lint anywhere other than in the drum area. They are removing the dryer tomorrow, however, I would like to prove to LG that this defect is their responsibility and the dryer, which is less than 5 years old, should be replaced. The downside would be it would be another LG product. We will never buy another LG product and I urge you to do the same. Because of the offshore parts problem with LG, any repairs that can be made can take more than 5 weeks and their customer service is unsatisfactory to put it mildly. Do your homework before purchasing anything from this company!

The saga of the LG refrigerator: 11 months ago we bought an LG refrigerator
The saga of the LG refrigerator: 11 months ago we bought an LG refrigerator. When we came back to town the refrigerator had broken and everything in freezer was defrosted. We had to throw away hundreds of dollars of food. We contacted Costco concierge who contacted LG. This is where the fun begins: LG referred us to a repair company that had gone out of business, but we were told we had to wait 48 hours for them to contact us. Then we were given the name of another company several hours away from us who called us right back stated that a part had to be ordered and received before they could fix it. This was done without ever evaluating the problem. When the part arrived several days later, we were told we now had to wait several more days before someone could come out and install it. After the part was installed, we were told to let them know if the refrigerator hadnt cooled by the next day. It had not. They need several more days before a repair person could be scheduled to come back. The person came back and was not qualified to fix the problem - LG had referred us to a company that was not qualified to do repairs! After 6 hours on hold over two days between Costco concierge, LG customer service, and LG resolution department, I asked for a new refrigerator because we were told the next repair company could not come out to even look at the refrigerator for another week! In the mean time we are living out of a cooler trying to keep my husband fed with a special diet to deal with his throat cancer. I was assured by someone in the Resolutions department that our request was expedited, but it was not. We are now told that they have a week to decide whether to give us a new refrigerator or continue to draw out repair on the current one after initially telling us we would hear by the next day. When calling again today, the date given by LG of when they will respond has been moved back yet again. So that 3 weeks out we still are no closer to a repair.

We bought a home with a new LG side-by-side refrigerator already installed. We have been in the house for 4 years and have had a service call on the refrigerator freezer at least 5 times. 1. The fan motor went bad, so the compressor shut down, causing food to defrost. 2. Water would not flow from the dispenser or to the ice maker. One of the solenoids was bad. 3. The ice cube tray that makes the ice was warped, so the water would overflow into the ice bin and freeze all the ice together. Apparently, the heater for the tray causes the tray to warp over time.4. The hose in the back that supplies water to the icemaker developed a leak and soaked our floors. This was repaired and it re-occurred multiple times. This issue is so common with LG that there is a procedure on YouTube on how to replace and repair the hose. I have owned refrigerators for 20 years with no problems. I believe LG definitely has a quality problem, so buy at your own risk.

This built-in oven came with the house. Its beautiful. But, I dont think its ever worked quite right. There are lots of things I like about it - the proof setting for proofing bread, roll-out rack, convection roast mode. However, it does not hold oven temperatures properly, preheats slowly, and the fan is noisy. It is now totally dead at less than 6 years old, and wont heat on any setting. We are waiting for a service callback, who knows how long it will be. I would not be surprised if parts are no longer available as this seems to be a problem with LG and Samsung. If we have to buy another oven it wont be an LG. I wish I could find an induction or smoothtop range that performs well but does not have a lot of electronics, which seem to be the bane of all modern ranges. I am an experienced cook and baker but do not like gas as we have a tight house.

I purchased an LG dishwasher for my newly renovated kitchen, it was professional installed the first of May right before the final acceptance of the renovation. The plumbers tested the dishwasher and all appeared ok, I never had a chance to even use it once. On May 9th I walked into the kitchen to find three inches of water in the kitchen and dining/living rooms, with water pouring out from the dishwasher. It was inspected by the factory rep from LG that a clip on one end of water hose was missing and determined this was a factory defect. Since there was extensive damage to three Persian rugs floating in water, furniture and areas behind the newly installed cabinets I filed a claim with LG and after 4 months they still have not made a reasonable offer to reimburse me for the damages their defective product caused. Very very poor customer service. Will never purchase another LG product and would not recommend their products to anyone.

We purchased this product in June 2015. About a month after the 1 year warranty period was over, the refrigerator started making a loud noise, almost sounding like a lawn-mower was hiding inside the unit. It was soon followed by an error E RF on the display panel. Upon contacting LGs customer support, who were quick to point out that the warranty period was over, they informed me that the error indicated that the refrigerator fan was malfunctioning possibly due to ice forming around the refrigerator fan unit causing the issue. I was asked to do a manual defrost, i.e. physically shutting down the power and letting it sit for 8 hours for the ice to melt before switching it back on. This seemed to resolve the issue; however, this seemed to keep happening every other month. On doing some research on the web, I found that this is a very common problem. Since then we have been doing this ritual every other month to power-off the unit to perform a manual defrost. Since the last such operation, the E RF message pops-up daily and then disappears. The temperature in refrigerator is not cold, resulting in food going bad. On contacting a local appliance repair company and providing the serial number of the unit I was given to understand that a service bulletin from LG indicated that the software on some board needs an upgrade or replacement and a fan panel needed replacement, possibly costing hundreds of dollars. I was also informed that the replacement boards are not in stock and could take weeks. On contacting LG Customer Service, I was provided the solution to perform a manual defrost. For now, Life is not so Good.

My newly purchased LG refrigerator had a continuous leak/drip from the water dispenser immediately after installation. After six attempts to fix it, LG decided to deem it normal rather than fixing the problem. A few weeks after owning this refrigerator, water started dripping from the water filter inside the refrigerator. LG refused to fix this issue and told me that I would have to pay for the repair. In my interactions with LG, the customer service supervisor was demeaning, condescending, rude, and unhelpful. I wrote LG corporate headquarters to notify them of my horrible experience with LG and to ensure that they knew that I was unhappy with their product and their customer service. Their response was that the refrigerator was working as designed. They never apologized for my experience. After owning this refrigerator for less than 3 months and it never working right, I decided to call the place that I purchased to exchange to a different brand. LG Top Load WT517OHV washing machine is very stylish. It has a window on top so you can see into the machine. What we dont like: it smells very musty between loads. You cant wash rugs that have a rubber backing. You cant wash water-proof or water-resistant items such as jackets. The machine doesnt fill with water for a full load. Weve tried all the settings. Every time we wash a load, we have to set the egg timer to come back after 10 minutes to shut the machine down. We then reset it to fool it into filling the drum entirely with water. How do you wash a full load of very dirty clothes with the tub filled with water half way or less?Yes we called LG several times for help. Our opinion: Buy basic washing machines w/o water saving sensors. Save your money because you only need standard settings to wash your clothes effectively. Wash only full loads to save water. Weve had this washer and an LG dryer DLEX5170/71 for two years w/o mechanical problems.

I requested assistance with my washing machine on the 15th of March. Nobody pitched, on Friday, I phoned again and was informed that one technician was on leave. She would send somebody on Monday. Nobody came. I phoned again on the 22nd of March. She said she will ask the technician to come on Friday. That Thursday afternoon, I received an SMS saying that they would be at my house. Unfortunately, I was in town to collect my daughter and asked them to be there 16:10. When I got home at 16:00, they left a note saying they were at my house and I was not there. The next morning, I received an email saying that they would be coming on that Friday. I requested them to please come at 13:00 when I am home from school. The lady replied that the technician will be there before 13:00. I told her again that I am teaching and Im not allowed to just leave. I will notify her if I leave earlier, which I did. Then Louis came and told me the rubber was perished, that he does not have it in stock but will order it. It should be here the next week. I kindly requested him to notify me on the day that he will be coming, in the morning, to say whether he would be coming in the morning or afternoon. He promised me that he would phone me an hour before he comes. Today, he sent me an SMS 30 minutes before he stopped at my house. I had no idea that he was planning on coming today, so I was in the gym at the point when he sent an SMS. I did not hear the SMS as there is loud music in the gym. I am totally dissatisfied that he cannot respect me as a paying customer and have the decency to ensure that I did receive the message and that he cannot respect my wish to know in advance which day he will be coming. We are on holiday and I might have been at the beach with the kids, then I would also not here an SMS. I feel it is unfair of him to expect of me to sit and wait at the house until he one day decides he is coming to fix my machine. Today is the 26th of March and my machine is still not fixed.

Our less than a year old LG Refrigerator LG LFX25974ST we bought from Best Buy (along with an LG double oven and LG dishwasher...) was a beauty when we looked at it in the store. It fit well with our theme, loved the stainless steel, specs, etc. Less than a year now, we opened the freezer to find all of our frozen food warm/melted and fridge warm. Some food spoiled, some we saved by running to the local gas station for ice.Called LG Appliance support, they said there was nothing they could do but send a technician. This happened on a Friday morning that we discovered the problem. Earliest a technician could come out is on Monday. Ugh, but okay, (by the way, ice isnt cheap) well live until Monday out of coolers, though completely not ideal and we had to go out of town Saturday, so we hoped to God the food would stay cool over the weekend if we packed it good enough. It survived, mostly. A lot of things we just threw out because we couldnt tell how long it had been warm for and didnt want to get sick.So Monday arrives, and the local company they sent out does not have the capability to fix/replace the Linear Compressor that is shot. (Our 1 yr warranty expires in 30 days, but luckily the compressor has a 10 yr warranty, some relief.) Our fear now is what if something else goes wrong on the fridge or the other two appliances we spent over $4k on at Best Buy! Thats a lot of money! We would have been better off buying a $500 refrigerator with a classic design and compressor that would last 20 years without issues. They sure saw us coming. So now, LG Appliances calls me back to say what the local tech already said-- they couldnt fix it so they need to find someone else that may or may not be able to do the work. The earliest is Thursday -- that will be 7 days without a refrigerator I paid an awful lot of money for and food wasted. They of course dont pay for any lost food, youre on your own there, but thats easily another $150-$200 worth.Though I bought the set from Best Buy - I dont blame them because its not their warranty, its LG Appliances -- who never offered an apology - not once - on any of the calls to them. I was cordial with them, thinking they would show a little more empathy for their customer -- they were not sincere or showed any signs they cared about their customer. I am so disappointed in this purchase it isnt even funny and I will never buy ANYthing LG again -- not appliances, not electronics, NADA! They should be ashamed of themselves for selling expensive JUNK.

I am only submitting review to hopefully help someone who may have gone thru the nightmare I have been thru the past 2 years since I purchased my LG True Balance Ha washing machine. The first year I had this machine I would get a UE Code on the machine occasionally! I would readjust clothes and finally get the machine to spin. It got worse and worse over the next year up until the point I would quit washing clothes and my husband would take over where he would use his level and make sure the tub was level so the clothes would spin. My washer is in the basement so he would get missing for awhile and I knew he was waiting on the washer to spin, because if you dont wait the machine would fill up and try to rebalance its load (what is smart about that). I have called the helpful customer service only to be told it would cost $90 for a service tech!My husband would get frustrated and I would take over and so it went! Today for the first time I washed 4 or 5 loads of clothes without 1 error! Actually it has gotten better over the last month. What did I do? I stopped using commercial liquid soap! I found a recipe on Pinterest. My theory is the soap gums up and throws the computer off. I hope this helps someone who felt as though they we going insane as I was. With all this said I will never buy another LG product as they do not stand behind their products or they would admit this washer is a piece of junk and recall all that was sold.

LG supervisor said that 3 items for my fridge are still under warranty and one of the items is a compressor. I asked the supervisor to send the compressor to me, but instead they want to send the compressor to their technician and the technician must come to my house. I had an experience with the technician about 2 weeks ago and the technician wanted to charge me over $400 for a problem that may not be the problem, and would charge me to fix other problems that might be the problem. Ripoff. Also, when the technician was at my house, he and the office said one thing to me but a different story to LG. I am in my 3rd week without a fridge. I spend money on ice, outside food and cold drinks.

We finally got the fridge repaired, it was the compressor, apparently these compressors are hard to get so that was the delay. The repair serviceman was very professional & knew what he was doing, had it working in about an hour .

My LG refrigerator was purchased less than 5 years ago and it’s now non-operational. On 6/29/2013, everything was fine. About 12 noon, and returning from our weekly grocery shopping, we discovered that the lighting in the refrigerator was no longer working. We then noticed moisture all around the top of the doors and upon further checking, discovered the refrigerator was no longer working. It is over 80 humid degrees outside and a Saturday. It is our belief that the circuit board needs to be replaced. There were no signs whatsoever that something might be going wrong. It is my understanding that LG refrigerators should only be worked on by an LG trained repair person. We are not very happy.

I will never buy an LG refrigerator again. They have very poor customer service. They are very good at giving you bogus information and youre calling customer service in the Philippines. My refrigerator went out on a Friday and LG gives me two supposed authorized dealers, one never picked up the phone and the other one was closed at 2:30 and I couldnt leave a message because of a full mailbox. I took it upon myself to get someone out and had it fixed by Monday. If your product goes out on the weekend forget it.The one supposed authorized dealer said they dont fix LG refrigerators in Arizona anymore and LG still continues to give out that name, the other one said they couldnt get someone out for a week. They are very good at jacking people around and it ended up costing me 743.00 for a new compressor which is covered by LG but they said since I didnt call who they told me to they werent covering it. I had Sears products for 20 years and never had a problem. As a company we keeping signing on for these foreign products and they just dont last. I will never purchase another LG product and I will tell as many people I know the same information.

We purchased the LG front loader washer & dryer for our daughter & son-in-law as a gift in 2012. It is only 3 years old & the washer start button does not work! They have been without a washer for weeks. This is ridiculous to have this happen with such a new expensive washer! Now the repairman said the part is on back order!!! OMG! LG should send them a new washing machine!! Needless to say, with a household of 3, there is a lot of laundry. On back order, how long will it take to get the part in?

Last year we had an issue with the LG refrigerator. The compressor went out. Then one year later, the compressor went out again. They were trying to charge us to get it fixed when it was a manufacturing issue. They needed to fix it with the corrected part rather than brushing it off and putting the same part back in of a different model. The first tech that came out was terrible. So my husband called and talked to a supervisor. Then the next person that came out was the same guy who came the year before and he knew exactly what the issue was. So after going round and round with LG, they did fix it. That took two weeks and I was not satisfied with that timeframe at all. I was also told that it would probably happen again. So, were looking to get rid of it.

After reading on the energy savings we bought an LG HE front loader in 2010
After reading on the energy savings we bought an LG HE front loader in 2010. Well, after reading my booklet and other information, I understood that have to keep the door open to not have odors in the washer. We have terrible build-up of mold inside the rubber gasket. I am allergic to mold. I have to get in there and clean with bleach but still comes back. I will say it cleans my clothes. You only need a tablespoon of detergent. But my problem now is the terrible LOUD noise it makes every time it empties the water out. Goes off-balance all the time with small loads. CANNOT wash a small throw rug. Its IMPOSSIBLE to find a reputable repairman. My mom bought the same washer 2011 and now her motor went after others issues with leaking. Shes going out and buying another name brand. I would never buy another LG appliance again.

I bought my fridge in 2017 and the compressor died in 2021. They came to repaired 4 days after because the technician was nice enough to move my appt earlier, they told me that they could gave me food compensation. I called them after the fridge was repaired and first the way that the customer service handle this cases are terrible, LG subcontract this phone calls to another country I would say INDIA and is very hard to understand them, then they start this process with text messages with questions and I just got one text, I never got the following question. I called them several times and the last time I called the customer service helped me, she never advised that she was going to send this claim manually. She told me that somebody would contact me to see if I was agree with the food compensation, next thing I know I received $100 check in the mail for a whole fridge food loss, I called them and I spoke with the supervisor Ann, she was very rude and reiterated times told me that my warranty expired and LG was nice enough to repair my fridge and they don’t do food losses that they sent me $100 dollar check because they were nice, she told me that there is nothing I can do because the check was issued. They never told me that if an agent do this manually automatically they issued $100 and don’t review my case just send $100. Be aware. Never submit your food loss claim manually. They will send you $100 check. They kept telling me that LG don’t send food losses claim. That if they sent me money is because they were nice and because I have my fridge bad for 5 days $100 was enough. I lost a full fridge and what it hurts me the most I lost 100 bags of breastmilk for my baby because of this. I can’t believe they got to decide how much they can give and they don’t live even in U.S. They told me that there is nothing I can do and LG won’t send more. This fridge is in a lawsuit that is why they do food compensation and also they extended the warranty. LG customer service is the worse. Case # **
