Weve had this washer for about 2 years now and it is a terrible machine (the model is WM2050CW). When I wash shirts (4 or 5), I get soap stains on the shirts. The shirts have developed little pills (I do small loads at a time). If we dont keep the door open at all times we get a smell from the washer. It uses such little water I cant see how clothes could possibly be clean. We bought this at a Sears Outlet store. The washer and dryer were returned by a customer and we know now why. These were issues with the washer right from the start, but its just getting worse (and more and more frustrating). I wish wed bought a cheap top load washer. It takes forever to do a load of laundry and while it uses less water, it takes twice as much electricity. I thought it only fair to alert you to our dissatisfaction before we start to share with others. We had only heard good things about LG, but we will never buy another LG product, and we will urge anyone that will listen not to either.

We bought a front loading washer and dryer. About three years later, the washer is shaking so hard it sounds as if it will tear down the walls and cave in our floor. The washer shakes so hard, it moves across the floor knocking into other items as well as the dryer. We called LG and were told it is no longer under warranty, but shaking was due to an unstable floor. I told her the floor has not changed, only the washing machines performance. The representative stated that all of the washers shake a little, this was to be expected. I asked if there was a part that could be replaced to stabilize the machine. She said no, there was no such part.A few days later, I looked up an appliance repair company that works on LG appliances in our area. The repairman told me LG had this problem and it just needed the struts replaced. So we had them replaced. It was better, but not as stable as before, not like any of the previous washers Id had throughout my life. I trusted LG to be an upgrade in quality. It was not. After only six months, it is as bad or worse than before the struts were replaced.Additionally, weve put heavy duty pads underneath. It just walks right off the pads, tipping over as if it will fall on its side. This washer is worse than the old wringer type with the incredible noise and the bouncing and moving. My husband and I have to restrain it or turn if off. And like some of the other owners, it does have a stinky, moldy smell. Mold is not normal in a machine designed to clean. Ive been leaving the door open after each wash, spraying inside the drum with Lysol or Windex.Cleaning clothes is an effort toward good hygiene. Moldy water defeats that purpose. Yes, standing water creates mold, but what is wrong with a design that causes mold to proliferate like this. Perhaps Maytag, Kenmore, or GE could teach the engineers at LG something about designing for public use. If this were normal, as the rep would have us believe, it would seem appropriate to include these features in the sales material - LG Front loading washer has a normal smell of mold in the machine which naturally transfer to your clothes. Another very normal feature that astounds LG consumers is the washers ability to mimic a wild bucking bronco, leaping and jumping out of its stall. It is a relatively expensive purchase. Consumers expect quality to equal cost to equate value. I dont want to feel like I have been duped and bought a piece of trash. LG has changed my opinion of its products - washer & dryer, refrigerator, microwave, internet TV - I cant trust them no more! We believed that your Life is Good motto included us, not just you.

Open till recently I was very happy with my LG refrigerator. Unit has always been great. Do you want to half years after me owning your own at the compressor went bad. I was very happy to hear that LG would replace it free of charge however I was not thrilled that it took so long to get a service appointment. I was almost a week without a refrigerator. Repair technicians came in. That’s where the real trouble started. The first time they said they didn’t have the right parts and it didn’t work so they left the refrigerator off for a number of days again while they were could get the right stuff to Complete the job. About a day after my refrigerator which finally running I called the repair company directly and told them that the unit was making load noise and vibrating. All my drinks were moving around on shelf but nonetheless I was happy to have a refrigerator again. Now it’s been 4 weeks with multiple phone calls to the repair company with no response to come out and rectify the issue. So now I turn back to LG to complain and to finally try to get someone out to fix this thing. An exceedingly long and painful process.

Like many others, spent > $1000 on a top loading LG about 3 yrs ago. The control board broke in the first few days, and it took a few weeks to get it fixed. It was also recalled. These were ok, I can understand sometimes things break, and they fixed these with minimal hassle (although it was a long wait for the part when the control board broke). However, now Im POd. After about a year, small spots of rust around the bleach dispenser (dont use bleach), now that rust has progressed and it is also rusting around the bottom lip of the tub by the soap dispenser. I have an extended warranty, but this isnt covered because its cosmetic. The store has asked that we try to get LG to help with the parts and labor (their warranty for these issues is 1 year). Well see... This is the 4th washer Ive owned over ~30 years, and it is the only one to rust.

I contacted customer service about my freezer dying, they told me that the earliest it could send a technician was 3 days. Ok they’re busy I can accept that. Oh but nobody shows up to repair my freezer after my wife took a vacation day so she could be home when he showed up. I returned a call back to customer support and the gentleman said to hold on he was going to call the technician. Then he comes back and tells me that he can’t get in contact with the technician but here is his number you can call them. After calling for the last 4 days still nobody to repair freezer! But oh does it get better because this morning now the refrigerator part is not cold. So again I contact customer support and the guy tells me he can’t get in contact with the technician. We have tried all week long what makes you think you could contact them today. Then customer support told me that he is going to change repair technicians and the earliest they could come out to repair would be 2 weeks. I said I can’t go 2 weeks without a refrigerator, could they reimburse me with another refrigerator. The answer is no we can’t do that till the technician says it’s un-repairable. So okay geniuses what do you do for 2 weeks with medication that needs to stay cold and not being able to afford eating out every day for 2 weeks. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT AND ONE MORE TIME DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM LG BECAUSE YOU CANNOT GET IT REPAIRED!!

We purchased a $3000 LG refrigerator in August of 2015, Model LFXS30726S, and it is a horrible design. It fails completely every 16 weeks. The fridge seems really nice, but 4 months later, it failed on Christmas Day. Frost builds up around the fan and doesnt properly defrost, causing it to fail. LG serviced the unit for the first 2 Failures, and now it has failed again. 3 times in 14 months. Lucky for LG, their warranty is for 1 year, and now they will not service or repair the defective unit. This design was flawed from day 1! It just takes 4 months for the fan to wear out. And each time we have to borrow a spare fridge, move all of our food, and wait for service. They even had a service bulletin regarding this issue, and so they replaced the back inside panel which was supposed to fix the problem. Guess what... it did not help at all. DO NOT BUY LG Refrigerators! THEY EITHER DONT KNOW HOW TO DESIGN PROPERLY, OR THEY DONT TEST THEM. I am filing a complaint with the Dept of Trade and Consumer Protection, under the grounds that the fridge did not live up to its intended purpose: Keeping food cold.

I purchased an LG washing machine in Oct. 2007 at Best Buy. The washing machine rubber seal showed signs of mold within the first 6 months. I was told to keep the door open, but with animals and children here, this is impossible to do. The smell of mold is not pleasant. In 2010, I began to have electronic issues with the machine flashing the code le. I had 3 service calls for this problem (August, September, and December of 2010). The service tech would check the machine and circuit board for each call. This cost me $68.50 per visit. The same electronic issue code, le, began again in 2011. I have had 2 service calls (March and December). The same fix it job checked the circuit board. Again, the cost was $68.50 per visit. Now, in 2012, I have had 2 more service calls (February and March) for the same electronic issue, which cost me $68.50 and $119.00 respectively, for labor fees, to have the service tech do a full load of laundry! I was told that I needed to put heavier loads of laundry? After the tech left, I did a heavy load of laundry, and the machine again flashed the same electronic code, le! I have another service call tomorrow. They will now replace the circuit board (for around $300.00), but they told me that it might be another problem, like the motor. The total cost is around $461.50. LG does not produce good products. My advice to anyone looking at this brand is the old saying, buyers, beware!”. Shop for another brand!

Updated on 05/27/2020: After telling me that there was a scheduling issue with my ticket, LG has disappeared again. I had to remind this fraudulent company that that schedule issue has been there now since April 11 2020. They make promise that someone will call me in 5 days to schedule to fix the machine and nothing happens. I have already spent too many calls and emails with this fraud company. I am also questioning how does consumeraffairs.com get paid? As the brand disappears on you after saying talk in private and there is no option for the consumer to ask why or post another comment. I plan to buy another washer /dryer if this fraud company is unable to fix my machine by Friday 5/29/2020 and I have already filed a ticket with BBB and plan to do that Virginia consumer affairs as well. Prior history is below.Updated on 05/20/2020: After telling me to communicate in private yesterday 5/20/2020, LG disappeared again? Buying more time? After officially waiting 41 days and unofficially over 70 days why does LG need more time? Constantly telling your customers to wait 5 days at a time to receive service calls, which is actually 11 calendar days is, to be polite, an unfair and corrupt strategy. Can someone help me get a return voucher so I dont have to wait anymore? LG has proven they cannot be trusted for service and I dont want to spend next 5 years with this cutting edge technology or the horrible service. Looking for someone higher who can make my Life Good as since I have bought LG my Life is Not good without a working washer. 12 days ago David a manager had promised he will personally make sure he calls me today. That didnt happen either. Please understand its not easy to be without a washer for a family with 4 kids.Original review: Bought LG Duet Steam True Balance Model WM3900HBA in December 2019. Was delivered and installed in my home in January 2020. From the beginning continued to give D1, D2 and other errors and within two months completely died of DE error on March 10, 2020. I had bought extra warranty and service from Best Buy but was told to contact LG since first year of service they provide.LG service is horrible. First ticket created with them, was on April 11 2020 they set up a repair appointment, no one showed up. I called back the lady said just wait and expect a call. Waited three weeks and called again several times on the 7th, ladies would not understand English, On April 8th finally got a hold of a rep, asked to be escalated to to a manager which was the infamous Louis. I asked him I need a return voucher. He said they require 3 weeks of suffering before they would return.Created a new ticket and asked me to wait 5 days. On the fifth day no call from LG. Called on Friday they said their 5 days will be on Tuesday (in 11 days). Today, the 11th day, 5/19/2020 called again and first lady hung up on me as I asked for a manager and didnt want to repeat what I have repeated 50 times. Second time got to a manager called David. He told me today to again wait. LG policy is that without any help for 3 weeks they would return. I keep on asking for a return voucher as suggested by Best Buy and LG won’t respond.

I am having the same problem as others stated about it stopping in the middle of loads. Ive been doing the same load for 4 hours now, still not done. The washer is only about 3 or 4 years old. And dont even ask me about the LG TV fiasco. Still waiting after 1 1/2 YEARS for them to call me back with a repairman. Dead pixels right out of box. LG claims they have no repair people in our area. Bought the fridge April 2021, had it arrive May 2021. Started using it June 17th 2021. It stopped refrigerating July 4th weekend. Lost $250 worth of food. Called LG, got a work order number.. then no contact from anyone. Contacted LGs presidents office. Got a call saying that A&E would be dispatched to do the repair. 7/13/21 A&E tech arrives. Said he isnt qualified/trained to work on the fridge. 90 Mins later he says 7/29/21 they rescheduled the work order. No one called or arrived from A&E on that date. Aug 2nd, A&E texts me saying that its now Aug 10th.. 10 mins later they text saying Aug 17th. Today.. Aug 17th no one arrived, no one called.. two days taking the day off from work and blown off twice by A&E not showing up...So a $3700 fridge that has been broken since the beginning of July sits in our kitchen with no sign that it will be repaired, replaced, or working anytime soon.

This LG manufacturer has to be the worst experience of customer service I have ever had in my life. I have been trying to contact customer service, the supervisor of LG and all they kept doing is lying to me and promised me a courtesy refrigerator bin and told me I would get a call from the supervisor. In 3 days they havent called. I called them back and told them what happened. They gave me confirmation numbers 3 times and kept me on hold for 40 minutes just to get through a supervisor, the customer service agent told me she will just email me a order # to my email. I checked my email and there is no email from LG. I called again and told me, We cannot send you the bin cause your warranty expired. There you go more lies from LG.Thats after they told me they had no problem sending me one courtesy bin to my home. Still nothing. They wasted my time on the phone and lying to me. Some of their product are cheap. They are plastic and break so easily and are very fragile. They treat their customers bad and they really dont care from the way their employees treat the consumers. From my experience do not buy from LG. They treat you horribly and they lie to their customers. They are people you wouldnt want to do service with and they need to improve their products. I am serious!!! Stay away from my horrible experience with LG!

My husband and I built our house and moved in just over a month ago (September 2012). We decided to purchase an LG stainless steel dishwasher, because it was visually appealing and we were told it was quiet and had positive ratings. I must admit that the dishwasher is extremely quiet; however, it has yet to clean our dishes since the first time we have used it. The dishes/glasses on the top rack always come out dirty, and often, I will have to put them back into the dishwasher for a second or third time. There have also been a few times where the dishes were still wet and I had to dry them by hand. The most frustrating part is that the last few times we have used the dishwasher, we have opened the door just to discover the package of detergent stuck to the inside part of the door unopened (we use Cascade and have never had issues before). As a result, the dishes were only washed in water since no detergent was released out of the package which was still intact. Clearly, this dishwasher is too weak, as weve only had it for a month and age cannot be to blame.

Loved my French door refrigerator. Today, noticed freezer not too cold. Cleaned back of fridge, nothing changed. Went on website, said contact service. Put in zip code, gave me a service place 30 plus. Ike’s away. Called repair service under 5 miles away, only to be told I am the second customer TODAY with this fridge problem. “Very common problem with LG. They knew they had issues with the compressors.” Well, I am grateful my 2004 Kenmore fridge is still working fine, no repairs ever, because all my food is in there now. Told compressor will take a few days... Have an LG dishwasher have no issues. Guess what, no more LG appliances for me. If they knew there was a problem, step up and fix it. I think that’s all we would expect. Stand behind your product. Do the right thing. Fix the issue and pay for all expenses not just the compressor. Your fridge was not cheap!!!

This in effect will cost me, when you account for the new machine, delivery, installation, taxes approx $1135. Heard good things about it from sales, however once I bought it and actually used it, I realize that the cost of this item was much higher than others and I could have been happier with a less expensive model. But I like the side by side which was easier to get what I needed, like the choice of colors offered too. I chose black. Not too much more I liked, the shelves were arranged with adequate space for big items like milk and juice. The freezer space is too small in width and limited in space for large items, the ice dispenser should have choice on type of ice and ice maker freezes too fast. Hard to find filters for it, ice maker broke and couldnt get a replacement. Will not buy again.

We recently purchased an LG washing machine, model WT1001CW. Overall, we are pleased with its design and function. It is very quiet (despite what some say about excessive noise), and for the most part it cleans okay. However, today, my wife put in some heavily soiled clothes, after an afternoon of working in her garden. These clothes were definitely dirty, but no different from clothes that we had washed dozens of times before in our previously-owned Kenmore agitator washer. Surprise! The claims we had read about that said the new impeller-type washer just didnt clean all that well are TRUE! As I write this, my wife is running the same clothes through a wash cycle for the THIRD TIME. This may not necessarily be an LG problem, but a problem with the basic concept of impeller washers. I will NEVER buy one again (unless that is all that I can buy). Sometimes new is not better.

I purchased an LG refrigerator 2 years ago. I listened to the guy at Home Depot and took his recommendation. Two weeks ago my refrigerator stopped cooling. A few days later an LG certified repair guy showed up and right away said he had to order a part in order to complete the repair. One week after the refrigerator stopped working the LG repairman serviced the unit unsuccessfully and LG executive department was unwilling to give any sort of credit for the labor portion of the bill. 10 days after the refrigerator stopped working the same LG repairman came to service the fridge again. This time it started to get a little cooler, approx 52-degree, but never got lower than that. Yesterday, over two weeks into the refrigerator not working the repairman did a third service on the refrigerator. Today I woke up to a 70-degree temperature inside my refrigerator.I contacted LG in hopes they would give me some sort of helpful resolution to this issue. The first guy I spoke with said after 3 unsuccessful repairs I might be eligible for compensation toward a new refrigerator. After 1 hour on the phone he transferred me to the executive department and the guy on the other end said no to a replacement, but that hed schedule another service...NEXT WEEK. Three weeks without a working refrigerator, three unsuccessful service calls, hundreds of dollars spend on labor, hundreds of dollars spend on food that went bad, hundreds of dollars spent on meals out (that would have normally been lower cost meals made at home), and very rude executive department. Needless to say, I will NEVER purchase an LG product again. Not just because of the product, but because their customer service STINKS! They have zero accountability and once you hit the executive department they are trained to say NO and treat you like garbage. If you try and ask for someone more senior they tell you to write a letter to a PO box in Huntsville Alabama. In this day and age where groceries can be delivered in an hour, parts can be shipped overnight, there is no reason someone should go without a working essential item like a refrigerator.

I find these customer service reviews hard to believe. So we bought the most beautiful big refrigerator and was one to boast about. UNTIL THE DREADED LG COMPRESSOR ISSUE.. Have been on the phone for over a month with them. Based in another country. They would not even offer a tech to come out. The ones they referred dont do the linear compressor. They offered to replace the compressor with us paying labor. Ok I dont care. Paid almost $3,000 for the fridge. I just want my warranty work done and done now. All the research Ive done, everyone else has had my experience. So I find these reviews hard to believe. Come on LG help us out.

14-month-old drain hose ruptured, service call repair at my costs. A year later drain pump burned out and ruined many clothes as they mildewed and that smell does not come out. Now another year later, washer just continues to fill with water, tried to turn power off with power button but power would just keep turning itself back on, even with power secured water kept coming. Had to shut off water supply, costing more than this washer is worth. Could have bought cheap washer for the cost of repairs and been ahead. Washer not worth the money or cost of repairs with continual breakdowns. You are welcome to contact me. Thank you.

We purchased a LFXS30726S French Door Refrigerator Freezer approximately 18 months ago. On October 23, 2017 the refrigerator seemed to be getting warm. Changes to the temperature setting did not improve the issue. We called the LG customer service number on October 24 and walked through a diagnostic process over the phone. LG said a repair would be fully covered under warranty. No cost to the customer. It was determined there was an issue with the sealed system (compressor/evaporator) and would need a certified technician to come out to our home. Received a case reference number: ** and then the mess began. I live in the metro NYC area in CT and no technicians on their approved list wanted to do this repair. LG was unable to get a technician setup that day. Escalated the issue to Joan in their scheduling team (executive services). After five days they found a technician. When this company called, they said LG would only pay $100 and we would owe the balance which could be $800+. We called LG and they indicated it’s a covered repair with an approval number: **. Then, the phone tag began with the service company saying that approval maximizes out at a lesser expense and LG saying its approved. I three way called them both and LG said its approved and service company said not for the right amount. Apparently the fixed fee reimbursement is too low for many companies. Now on my third company --- Akosemi. Lets see what happens. Its November 7 and still not a repaired refrigerator/freezer. Lost all my food. LG makes a poor product with awful service. The whole experience is terrible. Never buy another LG as long as I live.

LG refrigerator nightmare - I purchased fridge in Sept 08. In Sept 10, it was broken down. I called and had three different repairmen from LG sent out, paid each time 90 dollars. They said refrigerator was covered by warranty for sealed system failure and LG would call to deliver new fridge replacement. The call today from LG said it was not covered, only parts to fix and since it was not fixable, they could only pro-rate my fridge. I am crying. I paid over 1000 dollars for it.. I took good care of it. Now being mid-February, and hundreds of dollars in fees to have them say they need to get second and third opinions for fridge being deemed unrepairable, and indeed covered by warranty, they are saying they are not going to do it. They will give me a fraction of the money I initially put out in good faith for the cost of the refrigerator. I am exhausted financially and every single person I have known to own anything LG has gone through this very same experience. Televisions are burned out the day after warranty and LG policies to serve their consumers are horrible. I have been asked to resubmit my proof of purchase receipts so many times that Best Buy themselves started submitting it for me through their own fax machines. Its ridiculous. I will never buy LG products again. No one buy anything, rip offs, total complete rip offs!

I purchased my washer 7/17/2014. On or about 3 weeks ago I noticed a little puddle of water on the floor. I didnt think much about it, then the next day I was washing a load of clothes, and the little puddle became a flood. I called Lowes, Moreno Valley, California where I purchased the machine, and told my salesperson what had happened. he stated, Lets just bring out a new one. That sounded like a good idea since the machine was less than 2 months old. Then I was told, We have to have a tech come out and see what the problem is, before we can do an exchange. Ok, well the tech was scheduled for the next week. I work, so I had to arrange for someone to be at my house for the tech. (in the meantime - Lowes did send out a loaner machine, I have to do laundry. So the tech came out, and because the machine was not hooked up, he said he couldnt do anything and Lowes would have to have someone come and put the washer back in the laundry room. I called and spoke with my salesperson. So now they are going to send another tech out and will have their people come and hook up the washer. The men that came out and took the loaner away and put my washer in the laundry room, managed to put a scratch on the front of my washer. The next day the tech arrives, he tells me there is a hole in the pump, and he will have to order the part. I call Lowes, and am once again told that they will send out a loaner until my washer can be repaired, so here it is Friday 3 weeks later, no washer, and told that Lowes will have someone come out and paint the scratch. First the manager said he would knock of 10% of what I paid for the machine. Is he crazy? I had a new machine, looks like a used one. My complaint is with both LG and Lowes. Both places have given me the runaround, and the worst customer service.

When contacting LG for assistance, this is what I was told: I have received additional information from our Technical Support Manager regarding your cook top. After review, it has been determined to be a cosmetic issue which is not covered under manufacture warranty. The ring in the picture appears to be created from the pots boiling over. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any assistance with this issue. Scary that LG is being allowed to market a cook top that cant handle pots boiling over!

Purchased LG refrigerator model LFXS24623S in March 2017. After 3 months, the ice maker would not work properly, (would not tumble ice into bin). Service man replaced ice maker. Waited 24 hrs, checked for ice, no ice! Called again, and same service man came, checked everything, replaced entire unit. Checked next day, still no ice. Same service guy came again, ( I knew him by name by now), said there was a problem with this particular serial number line, he had just received an update by email, replaced entire unit once again, you guessed it, still no ice in bin. Bill, (not his real name) said there was nothing he could do other than replace the fridge. Customer service called sometime later to confirm the replacement to be done at end of August. By 1st of August, freezer would not keep food frozen. Some stuff froze others didnt. By date of this posting, all food in freezer had thawed. We had to throw all the meat products out. We are now waiting for the replacement and hope this one actually does what its supposed to do. Im hoping we just got a lemon as can happen with any products. One other thing, the customer service rep we spoke with did not seem very sympathetic but seemed to treat our phone calls with total indifference.

We bought a LG refrigerator 1.5 years ago. Very pricey I might add. The Fridge went out. They sent a repair person who replaced the motherboard and thats all he did. He did not check to see if the compressor was working. We wait 12 to 24 hours as he said not working. The compressor is not working. Back to LG We go. They say compressor is covered. They will get back to us on someone coming. They just call today and say they cant find anyone to come and fix it. Now the kicker is We have had no refrigerator since December 10th 2021. After all the hoops LG cant find anyone to fix their product. We live outside Little Rock AR. I have found this whole situation horrible with the way this was handled. I will never recommend a LG product to anyone. Yes there may be fine stuff out there but what if it breaks then you will find out how they stand behind their products. I find it ridiculous the price we pay for refrigerator, washers, dryers etc just for them to be throw away products.

HMM - obviously, there are problems. Never dreamed would have problems this quickly. I will never buy anything from them again - very poor service. I have read many reviews about bad outcomes with LG fridges - wish I had read prior to my purchase. Does anyone have any ideas on what could have 100% shut down the unit? Do not waste your money on anything LG. Bought a refrigerator. Within 7 months it stopped working. Sent a tech out. Fixed the problem. Now the refrigerator again is down, 4 years old, compressor went. Lost everything in the refrigerator because no error codes came up on it. Had the compressor, filter dryer and evap. Of course LG knows theres problems with their refrigerators, it been a known problem, but you still have to pay for labor. Well lo and behold. All that replaced and the piece of junk still not working. Will not take a charge. Tech company called LG to deem it unrepairable, now they want them to fix the capillary tubes and replace them. Since they want that repaired, I asked if they were paying for the labor? Of course not. Look into it before purchase. Many Lawsuits over the same issue. Even if the repair is successful 3 months down the road youre fixing it again. Almost a month still no refrigerator and $400 worth of food in the garbage. The customer service reps know its an issue and agree youll be fixing it again and again but their PCP department for the techs still insist on having repair after repair done. Please do research on their products before you purchase. LG stand for Luxurious Garbage. Now Im just bringing them to small claims court. Oh forget any repair place coming to change out the capillary tubing. NO ONE WILL EVEN TOUCH IT. Thanks LG for the Luxurious Garbage you sell, stick with TVs.

Bought a LG LFX25973ST French Door fridge 1/14 from Lowes. We went on a 2-week vacation last month and came home on a Thursday to a warm fridge/freezer. Dont know how long it had been off. It has a smart feature so I called LG and she ran me through the diagnostic, asked all the pertinent questions and since was out of warranty I could buy $275 package for fixing (parts/labor) the fridge with a 6-month warranty. She set up a repair appt for Tuesday, 5 days out. Very poor English, she was hard to understand. The guy came Tuesday and I knew I had a problem when he called the shop to ask what wires he needed to test. He was just the troubleshooter, could not fix the problem, a bad compressor. He had to go back to the shop and send LG the report, which he did, and we would hear from LG further instructions. Long story short 4 more days and no call from LG so we call them. We get major attitude. Very nasty woman tells us basically Youll just have to wait until can find a CERTIFIED tech. Day 11 we go to Lowes and buy a basic fridge for our garage. $400 thank you LG.Guy was great and looks up our original purchase of the broken fridge and says You bought an extended warranty. I know... dont laugh. So we canceled the LG contract (rate $100) and started working with Lowes. Much better service, English speaking CS people, $$ for lost food. Great, right? We get set up for a service call the next day. Ends up being a no call, no show. When we call them it ends up being the same business that LG sent out. We find out they cant fix a bad compressor. It must be a CERTIFIED tech. Closed system, dangerous gas, chance of fire. OMG.We live in Phoenix and there is just ONE certified tech in the whole metro area. They are 30 miles away and have a worse service record than LG. The customer reviews are horrible: poor work, no shows for service calls and rude employees. We are now on day 14 with a dead fridge in our kitchen. I always looked up reviews on performance of an appliance. Im now also now going to research repair and customer service. This is ridiculous that LG can hold a whole city hostage like this by not having more certified techs. I will add to this review as we progress, but Im not very optimistic. Im scared to death my other appliances, dishwasher, oven and microwave, never have a problem!

It has gray lettering on a black background. I called LG to see if there was a backlight that wasnt working, and was told that there is no backlight. I bought an LG over the stove exhaust hood microwave in September 2009. Less than a year later, the door cracked along the frame. This hood was covered under warranty. Again, in 9 months, the second door did the same thing. I was referred to Warner Stellians headquarters customer service. Susan ** dealt with LG, who said too much time had lapsed since the original warranty expired. She then contacted their sales rep who came back with the same response. Therefore, Warners Stellian will do nothing about the door. I think the second door should have been under warranty because it was a new door. Otherwise, the microwave should be replaced. The plastic construction of the microwave door is defective; its failed twice, both times within 9 months of installation.

This review of LG washers is more a review of LG customer service and a war
This review of LG washers is more a review of LG customer service and a warning to prospective customers. I have owned my LG washer for about three years now. It has True Balance, a feature that consumes water in an attempt to balance the load. The washer is absolutely level. However it rarely completes a load because True Balance is unable to get the load balanced enough to get through the spin cycle. So I have to turn the water off. Balance it by hand. Then maybe it will get through the cycle. Often the items are too soaked to put in the 30-year old Kenmore dryer. So I have to hang them.My water bill has increased 25% since getting the washer. Have complained to LG. Initially they told me to level the washer. Now they just ignore me. Apparently because I (a person who has tested at a mechanical level in the upper 2% of the population) am unable to level a washer. I was however able to rebuild the Kenmore Dryer twice to keep that running. Thats not a recommendation of Kenmore because Kenmore isnt Kenmore anymore.

I am writing you today regarding my LG3036-ST Gas range that I purchased from Best Buy earlier this year. Recently, while using my stove for the first time the top oven caught fire and the broiler would not shut off. This malfunction resulted in the fire department coming to my home to put out the fire and disconnect the stove. This was the second range that we had been given by LG, the first did not work upon arrival (3 of the burners did not work and the top oven would not turn on). Prior to buying my range, researched extensively for the best product for my limited funds and settled on the LG3036-ST. While I was disappointed that the first range did not work, I was horrified that the second malfunctioned and caught fire. Following the fire, we contacted Best Buy about getting a technician to look at the Range and to replace or fix it. Best Buy sent a representative who looked at the stove and decided that it did indeed malfunction and needed to be replaced. The tech even stated in his report that it was not a grease fire but was caused by a malfunction. As the range is under warranty from LG, Best Buy is requiring a return authorization number. So we began calling their customer service hotline to obtain this number. Our first contact was a call center employee who took our information and said that someone would contact us in 5 days. It was very frustrating that we had to wait 5 days to even TALK to someone who could potentially help us. Finally we spoke to someone at LG who forwarded us along to various departments and more equally unhelpful people. I think we have spoken to 6 or 7 people at this point, with each of them telling me that they couldnt issue a return authorization number but maybe the next person could. We are now heading into our third week of dealing with some of the most incompetent customer service I have ever encountered. The person we are now dealing with, Cindy ** at executive services, has stated to us that we need to obtain a fire report that shows it is a faulty valve that caused the fire. So, I took time off of work (which cost me money) and went to the fire station who then told me that in our city (Chattanooga, TN) they are not allowed to state cause of damage unless it is an arson investigation, which this is not. Their report is so broad, it simply states fire in the kitchen. After relaying this information back to **, she then told us that your technical department believes that the fire is a grease fire and not due to your products failure. They think this off of pictures taken by my wife on HER CELLPHONE. They are directly contradicting the actual repairman who has seen the oven in person based off pictures on a cellphone of the exterior of the stove. After a few days of stalling, LG agreed to return the stove yesterday June 19th only to rescind their offer today June 20th after their techs looked at the cellphone picture again. They literally took the word of a tech behind a computer in Korea over a tech who physically came to our house and diagnosed the problem. I realized in that moment that LG has no intention of helping us and are only seeking to further their corporate bottom-line. We have been more than patient as their customer service department has stalled, passed the responsibility and blatantly lied about the cause of the fire. There have been no apologies for our situation, no efforts to help and no basic human decency. To say that I am frustrated is a huge understatement. In building our home, we also purchased a few whirlpool appliances, two of which had a few small issues. Rather than give us the run-around, like your company has done, Whirlpool responded quickly and had a service person at our home within 24 hours who not only fixed the problem but went above and beyond in helping us. I was so pleased I have encouraged my friends and family to purchase Whirlpool products and I will continue doing so in the future. In direct contrast is the service LG has provided. I will never purchase an LG product again, I will also discourage everyone I know within my sphere of influence against purchasing LG products.

We purchased an LG Tromm Washer in 2005. Shortly after purchasing, we noticed a moldy smell in clothes and on towels. The whites get marks on them as well. As I cleaned around inside, I noticed (over time) a nasty, moldy, slime buildup inside of gasket and output valve would drain nasty sewer water. I have very 3 sensitive children that have allergies and I have asthma as well. This is harming, not helping out health! Also, the detergent dispenser drawer somehow gets stuck a number of times. In order to release it, you have to slide washer away from wall, unscrew the top and pivot it up and slide until you view the drawer then release it. Best Buy honored our extended warranty and replaced our LG washer after it failed to function after the recall software fix caused the machine to continuously give the uE, unbalanced error code. LG is trying to turn this issue into a warranty issue, rather than accepting responsibility for their failed software fix. Additionally, we were bombarded with extended warranty offers from LG between the time of the recall in December 2012 and the time we finally received our recall notice in early September 2013. We dont think this was a coincidence.Kudos to Barbara, Dave and Andrea at Mansfield, OH Best Buy. Best Buy refunded our original purchase price, pro-rated a refund of our unused extended warranty and gave us a discount on any new washer of our choice. We replaced the machine with a Samsung front loader since we know how to avoid the odor problems caused by using too much detergent and fabric softener in front loaders. My wife was adamant that we not purchase another LG product.

I will start by saying that I currently own and have owned many LG products over the years and have been well pleased. I researched appliances for sometime before deciding to purchase LG. I purchased a LG gas double oven slide in range, space saver microwave and dishwasher September 2018. Range had to be ordered and was not installed until October 2018. In less than 2 months the range required a major repair in which multiple parts including the mainboard was replaced. After several attempts from service repairman it was finally repaired January 23, 2019. Issue was determined that there was a direct short. Fan did not work because both the mainboard and relay board were blown so fan did not work to control flames. Oven shuts down and cannot be used.November 24th, 2019 the same issue occurred again. I had to make several calls to customer service and demand to talk to a supervisor to even a get a service call scheduled. (Let me disclose that this appliance is now just out of the 1 year warranty.) I have requested that LG replace this $2700 range with a brand new one due to its significant electrical and safety issues. An executive that only provided a first name and support email contact emailed me to apologize for my inconvenience and offered for me to contact him with any questions or concerns. I have emailed him twice with no response. I am beyond disappointed and the lack of concern from LG is unacceptable. I have asked for contact information for an LG representative that can actually do something to help from both the executive and customer support with no response. I have huge concerns since this will be the 3rd mainboard installed in less than a year.

The compressor broke in June 2019 and I had to toss all the food. Tried calling LG but they said it’s not their responsibility and to call Sears. I had the compressor fixed with Sears but now I have a problem again. Don’t buy an LG refrigerator with their bad customer support.

The LG refrigerator was an awesome brand. It had features such as smart capabilities and had in drawer freezer as well if you rent as well as the side-by-side freezer. I did not like it because it had too many king some problems thermostat one keep it cool all the time. Also had to constantly fill it up with coolant and it had a leak in the back that will require a lot of house problems such as floors warping and moisture getting its in the house. I went with the LG because it was him highly recommended. It was cheaper and most friends and had a hell of a warranty on it. Was also a alfred hadley my friends and family and co-workers.

The evaporator and compressor gave out on my LG fridge as well (LFXS29626S) and it appears many other people are having the same type of problem (coincidence? I dont think so... more or less the same timeline (2.5 years or so), same defective part (compressor)). Its also difficult to order the parts needed because they are back ordered. My previous fridge was a GE and never had this kind of problem. This needs to be rectified and LG to acknowledge that it has sold an unreliable appliance to consumers!

I have been using LG brands for years and a very well known brand. Always changing the needs for the consumer, and all about making great and outstanding products. The refrigerator we purchased was a side by side, and I like how it was stainless and easy to clean. Also had the water and ice dispenser. Also kept everything cold and or frozen very well. Made veggies last a little longer in the crispers. The only thing I didnt like was there was not enough room in the side by side for the freezer section and the refrigerator got overcrowded at times. Especially shopping for kids during the summers.

Very reliable front loader. Bought to replace another machine of similar size; size being first determinate, because of basement entryway requirements. Secondly, I had previously read print and online reviews, as well as heard some personal testimonies of the reliability of the brand. Some unique features of this machine are the touch screen controls, direct drive drum and the quiet operation with the lilting tune at end of wash. This machine is Wifi capable, but I haven't availed myself of this feature. It is also able to pause the machine anytime and resume without resetting the controls. My clothes get real clean and the cycles are not overly long. Compared to a top loader this machine is also a water miser, HE detergents are advised.

I purchased an LG electric oven about 2 months ago. Within the first 2 weeks of my purchase, the left front and back burners just stopped working. I called Home Depot, which gave me a number to contact for repair. I explained what happened and the first repair guy came with the stainless steel cover. After waiting all day, I told him that the cover was not the problem. He also agreed he needed the motherboard. So he rescheduled with me to come back. He returned and replaced the board after about a week. About 2 weeks later, the same two burners stopped working so we called back. Again, the repairman came to the house and brought another board and replaced it. This time it worked for 3 days and the same burners arent working again. I have called LG and complained each time. They tell me the same thing - that the tech has to determine that it is not fixable. I think this is absurd that you purchased a brand new product and are expected to keep getting it fixed. I purchased plenty of LG products and wanted to keep all the same brand, but you can be sure that I will never purchase an LG product again because they dont stand behind their product. I will be contacting Better Business and if I have to get a lawyer, I will do so. This is not acceptable and should not be tolerated by anyone. If something is faulty you, should get a new one immediately without question.

WE bought LG washer and dryer after building our new home. First time I buy LG and last time. Not only did it smell which I could deal with it by leaving the door open. In December of 2014 it started shaking so bad when spinning. The repair man came and charged me $120.00. The shaking continued and when I called him back he said we had to replace the whole tub, springs___the guts of the machine. Really! For $780 plus dollars. He said after a few years the springs go from round to oval shape and it is a kit, thus the price to replace the whole thing. I said no thank you. I will use it until I cannot stand the shaking and will buy a different brand. This time a top loader. The last one I had last me 17 years and it was a different brand. So I am going back to that brand. After doing some research, I told the repair man I would post this review to tell other women to beware.

The machine also was locked with water and clothes in it. Customer service gave me a service rep to call and I did. Also was told I had to pay out of pocket for the tech to come out but with the situation of clothes and water locked inside it I have no other option but the number I was given. They do not service my area. I called back to LG, got told someone would contact me. That has been over 1 month ago.

A few months after getting the range, the knobs started breaking. Like a good homeowner, I started repairing them, with epoxy, then tape reinforcement with epoxy and finally... after a while, I just couldnt repair them anymore. The design and materials are just plain wrong! Im a mechanical engineer and I can clearly see the design and choice of materials is faulty. I called LG and after an hour of conversation, they sent me out a complimentary set of replacement knobs, free of charge/ONE TIME DEAL. Well, those broke within 3 months. I called them back, and after being on hold for 45 minutes, the supervisor said, There is no point in continuing this conversation. We will not do anything about the breaking knobs and hung up. This is very frustrating. There has to be a recourse on this. How can we hold them accountable for selling a faulty product? Arent there consumer protection agencies specifically to protect us from irresponsible businesses such as LG?

I call LG Appliance because my dryer would not stop tumbling when I opened the door, my dryer is under 2 years old. I knew what was wrong with the dryer but I wasnt sure who I should call to repair, so I called the mfg, LG Appliance. They told me they would dispatch a repairman and the fee for service was $125. The repairman showed up, replaced the $16 part and then billed me additional labor of $65.00. I called LG to ask why I paid their fee and a service fee and they continued to say that the fee was dispatch, until I asked exactly what dispatch meant - setting up the appointment. Well, I could have done that myself. The customer service rep at LG was pretty cagey in his setting up this appointment, never clarifying that I would pay all the labor fee. My understanding was the service visit would be free.

I purchased the LG WT5101HW Wave Series ultra large capacity high efficiency top load washer with LED display, ColdWash technology, 1100 RPM, energy star compliant on January 1, 2011 after spending hours on Consumer Reports looking for the best machine. I purchased the machine from Appliance Connection and even though they encouraged me to purchase the extended warranty, I did not. I now have an EO error that will not go away. I checked on the LG website and the only remedy was to remove the hose and look for blockages and to check the filter. I did check the hose, there was no kinking and no blockage. There is no filter in the drain line, the only filters are in the hot and cold water supply lines which have nothing to do with water draining from the machine. The only way to get the machine to drain is to have the line lower than the tub, which is not feasible because I do not want the dirty water draining on the floor or for that matter, anywhere other than the drain line. When the error occurred, the machine had a load of towels and we had to wring the towels out and remove the water manually by dipping it out with a small bucket. This took a great deal of time and energy. The LG representative told me that I need a service call and the company that performs the maintenance is 1.5 hours from where I live and cannot respond until Friday between 8 and noon. This is very frustrating to have an issue that may or may not be corrected before the weekend because the technician may or may not have the parts. I also checked the company that is to respond to the service call and they have had several negative comments from former customers. I have now read the comments on this site and am apprehensive as to whether I will have a satisfactory outcome. I am also contacting Consumer Reports since I relied on their evaluation of this washer. I also purchased a dryer and I did get a 4-year extended warranty, which I will probably need. I had a Maytag washer that is now being used by my son and his college roommates. I may ask for it back!

I wanted to be fair about my review so I waited until I had it a while. I bought this machine a yr ago and I am very disappointed. In any cycle, theres not enough water to get everything wet, say nothing about rubbing the clothes together. The repairman came out for a repair issue and stated the machine was made to wash ONE set of sheets not two. If I want anything really clean, I have to go to bulky to get enough water to make any soap suds. Most of the time, I can see the blue soap color on some of the clothes.. They dont get wet enough to get the soap off. I will not buy LG anything again.

So no big surprise based upon the various reviews concerning LG refrigerator performance. Yes our LG refrigerator stopped working so we called a local repairmen who diagnosis the issue as a compressor failure (which seems to be a common problem), but due to the labor cost and after considerable effort we got LG to send their own technician to come out on their cost to fix the problem. The technician was great and after repairing the compressor and the evaporator (also faulty) we thought all was good. Unfortunately the fridge still didnt work so he returned and after numerous hours and effort he informed us that oil had entered into the lines and there was nothing else to do but submit a request to LG for a reimbursement. We are currently waiting and cannot get any info concerning our status and whether we should keep the fridge to return and that reimbursement process may take up to 4 to 6 weeks for a prorated reimbursement amount. So we have already have waited six weeks without a fridge and will potentially need to wait another six weeks before we have closure and honestly Im not too optimistic based upon the length of time and the ambiguity that each person gives us on the phone. Although each customer service rep is nice it is unfortunate that LG does not give the autonomy to make a decision even when their own repairmen have given forth their assessment. I realize that products fail but when there is an obvious trend LG should be fast recognize and not strong their patrons along. Its just bad business.

My biggest problem with this dishwasher is the racks are poorly designed. Whoever designed these racks couldnt possibly ever loaded a dishwasher. Glasses fall over unless the glass rack is full. Consequently, if you dont run the dishwasher every day, as you pull the rack out, any glasses previously placed on the rack, fall over causing broken glasses. The lower rack where one would usually place small plates or bowls is designed in such a way that the posts are staggered so the plates & bowls wont line up. If I ever buy another new dishwasher, Im taking dishes with me so I know they can be properly & efficiently placed.

I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND LG PRODUCTS TO ANYONE EVER AGAIN. Within 2 years of purchase the handle of our microwave broke right off from natural wear and tear. When it fell off it also bent the metal piece from the cover. Now we have to open our microwave from the bottom and risk cutting our fingers each time we do. Appliances today are not made like they were back in the 80s.

I purchased washer/dryer combo from LG in February 2018. Upon delivery, I left plastic covering on to protect machine, as I have a habit of doing this. Two months later, I removed cover and noticed numerous scratches all over cover of dryer. Calls were made to Best Buy in Levittown, as well as LG directly, over a period of months. I was informed these are cosmetic issues and not covered under warranty. I just want to reiterate the machine was delivered in that condition and not because of my use of machine. As a result, I did not get a satisfactory solution to my problem. Please note I have never given a bad review on any matter. This time, LG deserves this review. This review goes out to Best Buy in Levittown, as well, as the manager I spoke with was very rude and no help at all. I hope this helps anyone looking to purchase appliances.

Also the seal was frozen and the fridge was not keeping the food cold. LG sent out a repairman who was the first of many to tell us LG has a problem with their refrigerators and cant seem to fix it. They have so far replaced left hand refrigerator door 3 or 4 times, also fixed a few other things which did not last. They keep wanting to send out repair guys which means someone has to be here for a 6hr window for him to make it. My time is more valuable to me than that. We bought the LFX31925ST 3 years ago, meaning its out of warranty. Last week, error dH showed up. We did research, learned that it means the defrost heater is not working well and had the unit reset by unplugging for a few minutes. It worked for 2 days. This morning, the freezer at the bottom is totally watery. The freezer has gone out!!! The thought of having to call for service on top of our daily responsibilities, not to mention the cost to fix, just bothers us. We had been Whirlpool fans for over 30 years, never any problems with fridge nor washing/drying machines. They worked until we want a new look for our house. We changed to this LG fridge for their large capacity of 31 cubic feet, but...lesson learned...we will never buy LG again. We will also make sure our friends and families learn from our experience with the low quality of this LG brand. We were a lot smarter when we continued to buy Sony TV brand over Samsung. Our brother is having big problem with his Samsung TV!!! Household appliances should bring comfort, not trouble like this. I realize now that there are others who have similar with LG brand products. LG needs to improve the quality of their product or at least, go out of their way to offer service for their fast-failing products, or they will go out of business soon, which we wont be surprised! Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Maytag, Sony, and other long time name brands are the way to go. I hope this wont happen to anyone else.

We just purchased an LG kitchen package including the glass top electric LG range with knobs on the front (LSE4613/LSE4611) and had it delivered on 7/11/20. We have had it in our home for one week and weve accidentally turned the front knobs on multiple times by reaching into the microwave, cleaning the back splash, or reaching above into a cabinet. The knobs should not be that easy to turn. They are a push and turn style knob. We went back to the store to begin an exchange process for a model with the knobs in the back, but we are very disappointed because we like the appearance of this style much better. We are shocked by how easy it is to turn these knobs and really dont want to have to resort to ugly child proofing on our brand new appliances. Is there a better option?

Our LG range was purchased July 12 2018. Three months later in October we got an F3 error on the panel. We called for service and 4 times a technician was sent out to replace the panel but no one ever ordered the part. So week after week waiting for either a part or just replace the range we were not able to cook for three weeks. Again we called and was advised to submit a claim with receipts, we did that. Then after customer service advised us we needed to show PROOF of purchase. After 45 minutes on HOLD we were at that time advised they will only allow $150.00. No one ever explained this at all. Home Depot said after 48 hours its the manufacturer. LG is now saying its the parts A&E appliance specialist that should have deemed it not repairable but LG said it has to break 3 times... We purchased the front load washer and dryer in December 2010. The pretty red ones! What a mistake! Actually, no problems with the dryer, except it doesnt seem to dry as well as it did in the beginning. I always have to add a click or two to the automatic dry time. The washer broke this June 2011. We had Geek Squad come out, it took four weeks for them to get back to replace the drum and three other pieces that attach to the drum. Four weeks! Then it broke again six weeks later. Same thing, we tried to get Geek Squad out again and they are so hard to work with to schedule a time. They should realize people have jobs! I called Best Buy to get help and they gave me LGs direct line. She was very helpful and friendly. But then the service tech called and his first words were, Do you agree to pay for this service call? and told us it was not the drum, it was a shock absorber. He hadnt even been to the house! He just told us this by the description. He wasnt coming out until we agreed on the phone to pay for the service call. Forget it. We are going to buy a new washer tonight. It will not be an LG. Such a hassle and disappointment, $1000.00 wasted. Pretty red machine...too bad it is a piece of crap!

On November of 2011 I bought a top load LG washer, model WT5001CW. It worked great until a few months ago when the bleach dispenser area has begun to rot. It is so bad that the entire area where the bleach goes has come off the hinges and is just dangling off the base. When I contacted LG, I was told that the warranty did not cover cosmetic issues. When I asked to speak with a manager and explain that this more than a cosmetic issue, this is a manufactured defect! I was told that my case would be reviewed and they would get back with as soon as they made a decision. Two months later, I am yet to hear from them. I bought the washing machine because of the large tub. I assumed I would be able to do good size loads, very reasonable but large. Not the case. I also expected the machine to wash the cloths. My laundry is not unusually soiled in anyway just normal day to day of a retired couple. Even a white towel load with a cup of bleach and the towels were not clean. The machine has a glass top so I watched as I put the load through again. The towels on the top never even were cycled through the soapy water (what little water there was). Because of this they also did not get rinsed adequately. To see just how well they did get rinsed I again put the same towel load in not adding any soap to see if any was still in the towels. The wash looked as though I had put detergent in as usual. I had used the very small amount of the detergent as instructed. I wish I had researched this washer before buying as I NEVER would have bought it. I was blinded by the size of the tub and hope to warn anyone else considering this machine. I have had it 3 weeks and will try to return it to Home Depot where I bought it but I am doubtful I will get very far with that.

Now, two years later, the fridge literally stopped working on me and I’m feeding my two small children out of ice chests surrounding the kitchen floor. We bought a warranty (about to expire) and it takes 4 working days to repair as these are factory ordered parts not in inventory. My refrigerator is 5 years old (LFX28978ST/02). Purchased with every appliance as we were moving into a new home. Already went through one issue shortly after purchasing the fridge with the ice maker. They made it right, but the LG certified technicians had to come back multiple times because they really didnt know what they were doing. Now the latest adventure. Compressor went about a month and a half ago. Turns out the compressor has a 10 year warranty. Great, right? Not so much. Getting this problem resolved has been an absolute nightmare. After doing what they wanted me to (having a repairman come out), I found out labor was not included on the compressor. Fine. I found a very reputable company to inspect and agree to do the repair. Unfortunately, its a half a days work so talking $300-$400 just for labor. Decided to have it fixed rather than buy a new fridge.1st call - said I would have a response in 24 hours. 2nd call - said no, timing to hear something back is 24-48 hours. 3rd call - said no, timing is 3 days. 4th call - said no, timing is 3-5 days. I verified if the 5th day was guaranteed (in this case Friday). 5th call - said no, the day I called didnt count so need to wait until Monday. 6th call - show they called my repairman the day I called. (This would prove to be a trend-lies). 7th call - they called and left a VM to my repairman but left a wrong number to call back. Called back to get the number myself. They didnt have the number. They called my repairman (I dont know why - the customer service rep had no info for us) and he told them the same thing. Put in a request on his computer for service center to call my repairman back. 8th call - said they showed they sent out an e-mail with the info to my repairman (they did not).9th call - my repair man was on vacation so could not confirm anything until he returned. Heard nothing. Supposedly putting in their system to call him again. Nothing. 10th call - immediately asked for a supervisor. Transferred me to someone in the states (Huntsville, AL). She told me the other calls go to the Philippines and that the computer showed someone calling him the day I lodged the complaint (lie). Also told me my previous Confirmation/ID# (or whatever they call it) had been closed. Great! She opened a new number. This was Thursday the 17th. Told me my repairman would hear something in 5 business days and there was no way to expedite because there were so many people in front of me. Thursday should count as day one since I called in the morning. Nothing.11th call - Called back on Friday the 25th. Asked for a supervisor. This time did not get transferred to the states.I assume still the Philippines. Told me the computer showed they called my repair man the day I called the last supervisor. (At this point, I feel like they do this in their system in case they get sued so they can say... Look, we called him. He didnt answer. All lies) Promised someone would call my repair man in 30 minutes and an e-mail would follow. Nothing. 12th call - Called Monday the 28th (today). Again asked for a supervisor. Again, Philippines. Joe promised he would have my issue resolved and would not leave until it was. After missing 41 minutes of work, hung up on me. I guess the moral is, dont buy an LG anything! My stoves electronics are also starting to fail as well. They want you to give in so they dont have to ship a compressor that will probably fail again anyway, but Im not giving up. Back to the phone...

I originally purchased a 28 cubic foot French Door LG to replace a 28 cubic foot Samsung. Due to the construction of the LG, the drivers were unable to get the refrigerator in my door. I had to then search for another LG and ultimately had to purchase a 24 cubic foot. Very poor in terms of interior space and not because of the cubic foot size, because of the overall design.

I have a top loading Waveforce model. Im one of the few lucky owners in that my machine has worked - sort of - without the recurring problems of broken parts, leakage, and poor customer service mentioned above. That said, the problem with this dog is that its supposed to weigh the clothes and dispense a volume of water based on that weight. Unfortunately it ALWAYS grossly underestimates the amount of water needed with the result that much of the load sits above the water line (exposed to the air) for the duration of the wash cycle and doesnt get cleaned very well. This holds true for any size load, from light to heavy. The only setting Ive found that dispenses enough water to adequately wash any size load is Bulky Bedding, which dispenses quite a bit of water regardless of the size of the load. The problem is, if you only need to wash a few items and you want them to actually get washed, you still have to use this setting with the result being that you end up with much more water than you need to get the job done. This will be the last high tech appliance of any kind I will buy from any company, especially LG, because all of these companies massively overcharge for bells and whistles that never work as advertised. Same principle holds true for the LG dryer. It (and my previous Bosch dryer) claims to have a sensor that detects moisture IN THE DRUM, which in turn controls when the dryer turns off. Problem is, it almost always underestimates the amount of moisture IN THE CLOTHING ITSELF with the result that the load doesnt always dry properly. From here on out every appliance I purchase will be basic, low tech appliances that do a better job for a fraction of the cost of the bells and whistles versions.

Ive had my washer dryer for almost 2 years. In that time I have had service on the machines for various reasons and have been somewhat satisfied. During the time Ive owned them my family has noticed that all my towels smell like mildew. I have done everything from tub cleaning which there is a button for that and buying tub cleaners. I leave the door open when not in use and never leave a wash lay in there, but it still always smells. Today when I went into room the whole room smells. I immediately called LG and they will not come out for smells. I also told them I noticed under and around rim there is gunky stuff that I cannot remove and they said they will not do anything. I will NEVER buy another LG appliance again!!

This shows very irresponsible of LG Team as they were providing very worst services. As of now they are charging for inverter compressor as that have 10 year of warranty and refrigerator is only 1 year old. Means they are making fool to customers and their technicians are talking in attitude like if you want to take services from LG you have to pay for it. No options. Even such after taken multiple calls and mails with their officials not getting any positive response. Although they are delaying and showing irresponsible behaviour as only not getting revert on mail not getting any kind of support from them. They are totally making fool to customers. Request No. **. Product: LG Smart inverter compressor Refrigerator. Product No. GL-B201AHAW. Mobile No. **.

Purchased a new counter depth LG refrigerator in April 2015 due to the remodeling of our kitchen. Unit was delivered in May and put into operation during early June 2015. Unit ran fine without problem during the warranty period (one year). In late July 2016, approximately 2 months after the warranty expired we experience ice forming on the back of the inside of the unit. Eventually the fan started making noise and the temperature inside did not seem cold. The unit then displayed a code of rf. Since it was out of warranty, I researched LG refrigerator problems and now realized all the issues with LG and their lack of customer care, so I called Sears Home Service. The technician visited the house, inspected the unit, researching the error code and determined the problem was a failed motherboard. Technician ordered a motherboard and advised he would come back when we received the motherboard. We received the motherboard a few days later, advised the technician of the receipt. He promptly came out the next day and replaced. In summary and based on other reviews, I am just another customer who bought a LG refrigerator for a couple of grand and just after the warranty period had to pay approximately $500 to enable the unit to operate. LG might look good but either the design or quality of parts is inferior because it appears my problem was not unique. Advice to future purchasers is avoid LG. Look for a reliable brand.

In 2015 I bought all my LG appliances just to get to the 4 yr with them when all came apart. Just in this yr my microwave stop working, my stove supposed to be fitting 5 pots, it only fits 3 on it. My wall oven broke as well, but my worse nightmare is the experience I’m going through with my refrigerator, a MODEL: LMXS30776S/01. This refrigerator has stop cooling and making ice 3 times this yr, between April and November. I called the warranty company and they throw the ball to LG, LG keep sending this A&E Factory service to work on this refrigerator and for the second time in this month they supposedly fixed and leave saying that it would take 24 hrs for the fridge to cool again, 24 hrs passed and The fridge still not working.LG customer service keep say that they can’t replace the unit until the technician writes in his report that the unit is unrepairable. Meanwhile they have the customer without a fridge for almost a month. Christmas is around the corner and this is becoming a nightmare. All I keep hearing from the technician is that this is happening a lot with LG Appliances and LG stead of replacing or reimburse the money prefers to keep expending money paying to service companies.

i purchased an LG dishwasher and refrigerator new in 2007. Their products are junk. I have had problems with both units and made numerous service calls. Their customer service should be called customer no service. Dont make the same mistake and throw away good money on cheaply made appliances.

Doesnt clean clothes, doesnt fill with enough water, drains to empty when soaking clothes, has to be filled on bulky setting to cover clothes with water then changed to proper setting when clothes are covered with water, with bulky clothes they usually arent balanced properly after wash cycle and if you arent there to balance the machine it will refill, spin and refill endlessly until the machine thinks its balanced. Smart machine?...hah! I have wasted so much time and water on this piece of garbage. I wish I had my 1954 Frigidaire.

Don’t bug LG. I purchased a LG French door fridge from Home Depot. After only a few months, the power did not come on. I thought it was a fuse or something. I contacted LG and they told me that I would have to have a technician come out and look at it. I decided to do that myself. I opened the back of the fridge and look around and noticed a fuse looked a little burnt. I got a better light and was sure the fuse had burned out. I didn’t see how to replace the fuse without removing the entire motherboard. I contacted LG and told them what I seen. They stated that they don’t replace the fuse but only replace the entire motherboard and it cost a few hundred dollars. I took it apart, replaced the fuse and now it happened again a few months later. I live alone and don’t really even use the fridge as a large family would. This is a piece of crap I will never buy LG again.

I like that its energy-efficient, easy to clean, quiet, and overall dependable unlike leading competitors. Fit well in the kitchen, not too tall. I liked the water filter and dispenser inside the refrigerator and the spacious shelving that was easy to clean - made of clear plastic not barred plastic. It was top door freezer and bottom door fridge and did not have enough room. Nor enough room for leftovers or storage which is much needed in families larger than 3.

We were building a new house and were looking for appliance packages. We really liked the appliance package and LG refrigerator because it had this cute little window in the door. It was a good price as well, and we liked the refrigerators features. The little window in the door is my favorite. The refrigerator has French doors and I can open just that part, like a little window door, of the top door and keep stuff in there. We had some issues, though, with the water dispenser on the front of it. The repairman called it a continuous water feature. It wouldn’t shut off when you press your water on it. It kept going on with water or ice until you locked it. So we had to have it repaired probably within the first month we had the refrigerator. But since then, it has worked fine. I’m pretty happy with my LG refrigerator.

There is burn marks on the whitish pad screwed to the side.. It made a horrible noise which made me look..only a few seconds, butter did not even melt.. I called my husband to come look… I reset it and pushed start..of course it not do it to show him… this happened last week to me also… What do I do now.. We have all LG appliances, I thought the microwave would be better than this…not 2 years old yet and used sparingly… Please advise…
