LRG 3081ST gas stove - My first problem was that Best Buy never warned me that to convert this stove to propane was going to cost close to $300.00. The next problem was as soon as I started to use the product, the fan in the convection oven does not work most of the time, the controls are very difficult to use and very confusing, one of the burners does not work! After contacting Best Buy they told me I had to call LG, which I did. After many tries and disconnected calls I finally reached a person and he reluctantly set up an appointment with a local repair shop, and although she agreed the fan should work better but after calling LG they said it was normal and there was nothing she could do. But they did agree it probably should have a new burner but that is still on order. The stove is basically a cheap POS. I would not recommend anyone to buy this model.

Our Samsung washing machine was a replacement for a recalled Samsung washing machine. It was a top of the line machine and lasted about 3 years. Samsung provided no help or recourse to fix or replace this machine. We spent $85 for a repair person to tell us the brain was dead in the Samsung machine. Now we are using a 20 year old washing machine because our 3 year old Samsung is dead. Do not buy a Samsung washing machine!

My husband and I bought a house with a LG range already present in the house. After using the convection oven for about ten months I noticed blue specks in our food. I investigated the inside of the oven to discover the blue enamel was peeling. I called a repair company who called LG, they requested pictures be sent of the oven. LG said they would provide a partial refund if we could produce a receipt for the range since it was out of warranty and irreparable. We can not produce such document because it came with the house. I demanded to know if the paint we digested was toxic, the customer service rep said he would find out, but would not pay for the stove.Another week (three now) went by, I have a recorded message from another customer service rep stating they will not pay for the range and also could not tell us if the paint was toxic for another MONTH!!! Because it was made in Korea!!! If the paint is toxic, we will be dead in another month I guess. Any product used for cooking, peeling paint containing unknown substances from Korea MUST be recalled!!! LG may refuse to replace my range because I dont have a receipt, but they should at least offer to pay medical bills for blood testing of the four people whom ate the unknown substance in their Korean enamel.I wanted to help others avoid this same trauma so I took to Facebook, where LG accused me of spamming and blocked me from their page to hide this toxic secret. I also still have this message saved to my phone. Like every other complaint on this site, I am sure they will say they take pride in their product and refer me to the website. The fact is the website, the company, customer service, no one knows or cares what we ingested and until this is fixed this product needs to be taken off the market.

This expensive refrigerator (MODEL LFX25778ST) was one of the worst purchases ever! The ice maker - only makes about 20 ice cubes on a good day. The ice maker itself breaks after 2 years and then it costs a fortune to fix. May as well buy another fridge. The Customer Service from LG was even worse than the product itself. Truly a horrible experience. I would caution anyone from buying LG. I have had to make several large purchases since this fridge and vowed to never buy LG again. I will never and will encourage anyone I know and influence to not buy LG. Not normally this type of person but when the consumer is being taken advantage of by such a big corporation its time to stop supporting that corporation.

I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator in December of 2015 from H. H. Gregg (who went bankrupt shortly after my purchase therefore making the extended warranty null and void). Sunday morning September 23, 2018 I woke up to find a puddle in front of the freezer compartment (its a side by side). I opened the freezer to find everything defrosting rapidly. I put everything in the refrigerator side (which seemed cold). Within the day I realized the refrigerator wasnt working either. The next day, September 24th (my birthday) my husband called an appliance service person (Coastal Appliance) who came within the hour. The technician, Mark said it was the linear compressor 134A that failed. He said morally he couldnt fix it because the failure rate on this part is too high and too expensive. After checking on his phone he said the parts and labor would cost approximately $1,000 and it would only fail again at some point. He suggested we purchase another refrigerator not an LG or Samsung as they both use the same compressor. I feel like I was scammed by the LG Refrigerator company. I paid thousands of dollars for this refrigerator and I should be getting more than 2 years and 10 months of service from it.

The compressor went on our LG side by side refrigerator after only 3 years during the 4th of July weekend. Took 4 days to get technician to look at unit. He was here 5 minutes. Took pictures of model #s. Said he would be back in two days and replace compressor. LG said they would contact us regarding food loss. Nobody contacted us and they allowed $150 total for frozen and refrigerated foods. The compressor was ordered before the technician even looked at unit. I will never buy an LG product again.

We purchased the French door/bottom freezer unit for $3000.00 (model LFXC24726S). Upon plugging it in, it seemed to be cooling down, although the ice maker was not working. We reported this on 2/19/15. At that time it seemed that the unit on the whole was cold enough to stock with food. The fancy door temperature reading reported that the freezer was at 0 degrees and the refrigerator was at 37 degrees. NOT THE SITUATION!! The next morning everything that we put in the freezer was totally soft. By that afternoon we were sure that the refrigerator section was nowhere close to 37 degrees. We spoke to LG service repeatedly and although we were told that we would have service on Monday morning, we waited all day and finally a service tech came at 5 pm. He diagnosed that the unit would need a new mother board and would be back the next morning. We again waited all day and at 7 pm he returned with another service tech. At 9:30 pm they said that they believed that all problems had been solved. The next morning the tech called to ask if everything was working properly. Nice of him to call, but in fact, the unit was totally warm; although the temperature reading on the door still reported that the freezer was 0 degrees and the refrigerator was 37 degrees. So much for the reliability of this fancy technology. It is now 5 working days later and we are told by the executive team at LG that this refrigerator will not be replaced until everything has been tried to repair it. The compressor that the tech is now saying would be the next thing to try is on back order and it will be at least another week until that is available. Until LG has tried to replace every part and rebuild this unit they will keep us waiting. Thanks a lot. We want everyone to consider this situation before you decide to buy an LG product.

My LG refrigerator went out after 1.5 years. Got it from Home Depot Evansville Indiana. Called them first. They gave me the LG number. Called LG. They gave me a case number and approval number?? for no charge to fix its parts. Repairman they sent just looked at the model and serial numbers and said these cant be fix. He said LG has a lawsuit against them because they cant be repaired. He left and was to call us back. No call ever came from him. Called LG back. Told Richard (same person I spoke with the first time). He again said as before no repair person in our local area. He will notify their scheduling department again. Would take 1 to 2 days to get back with us. Still No Call Back. NEVER BUY LG PRODUCTS. Attorney time!!!

This dishwasher was bought April 2013 and since we got it, it has smelled. First like something burning then like garage and it still continues to this day. Service men tried to tell us that it was just new, then to use vinegar and open the door when finishing a load. It still smells and we are so sorry we bought the three LG products. Fridge, washer and dishwasher. On the cup I rubbed my thumb and you can see how easy the stain comes off. The bowl needed a little more effort, but it cant clean fresh chocolate pudding from a dish. The washer has a gap where it makes the cloths move that is too big and coins get caught and rips the cloths.

We bought an LG top loading washing machine in July of 2014. Initially, everything seemed to be okay, but after the warranty expired, the machine started showing the ue code. We tried everything the owners manual suggested to no avail. I contacted the LG service center and was told that it would cost 224.94 for a one time repair. That would have been acceptable, except that LG wanted the payment upfront! Now, I dont know of any business that requires upfront payment, except for special orders. We ended up calling a local service company for service. We will see how that plays out. He is scheduled for about two weeks. I will never buy an LG appliance again.

I just called LG to try and warranty my french door refrigerator with a broken compressor. I purchased my unit Aug. 2012, and I am well within my 10 year warranty. Heck, Im still within the 7 year warranty for the other parts that will need to be replaced when they repair the compressor. They transferred me to their affiliated repair company and they want $1000.00 to fix my unit. If Im under warranty, why do I have to pay that much for something that is guaranteed to break again, from reading all these comments???? $1k I might as well use that money for a new unit, not LG!

When we went shopping for a new washer/dryer, I was upset to find that nobody carried the old-timey washing machines -- unless you wanted a very small tub that you cant wash your bedding in. I did not like the fact that these new washing machines did not let you set your own water level or preferred washing cycle (you know, permanent press, delicate, regular, etc.); nor did I like the fact that it did NOT have an agitator. I do not need a washer/dryer for dummies who need presets for the various types of loads. LOL Plus, I had a sneaking suspicion that a washer without an agitator couldnt get laundry cleaned properly.Well, as it turns out, everything I did not like about the new washers is everything that I absolutely hate about our LG top loader that we bought in 2012. I was right not to want one in the first place, but I had no choice but to buy one if I wanted a NEW washer/dryer. The load sensor simply cannot gauge the size of a load properly. It either adds too much or too little water. Most of the time, it wont add enough water to cover even half of the load. When you trick it into adding more water (by opening and closing the lid as if you added garments), it ALWAYS adds water to the top -- even for a tiny load of undies.I was told they came out with these new types of washers to help reduce water usage. Well, thats an epic fail! Especially since the machine never gets the laundry clean, which often results in washing a load two or three times. I always wondered why Downy came out with those scent-boosting pellets, which we never needed with our old-timey washer -- because these washers simply do not clean clothes and they need something to make things at least smell good. Who do they think theyre fooling when soiled clothes come out of the washer still soiled? Now, about the lack of agitator, I couldnt have been more right. I was told by the salesman that the wave force is the way the machine agitates the clothes. Well, how can the wave force work when theres too little water in the machine that it doesnt even cover the load? When it fills the tub to the top on a load that didnt need that much water, the wave force causes the clothing to get all twisted. Each piece is twisted on itself as well as twisted with other clothing items. How gentle is that on clothing? With my old-timey washer, I could wash the dogs bedding and have it come out minus all of the dog hair and any stains and smells. Not with this machine. Theres always a significant collection of dog hair, particularly on the top, and I had to begin using color bleach to help with stains and smells better, but its still not clean. Dont even get me started on how unclean undies come out. LOL Those two types of loads, as well as towels, are usually the ones I have to wash two or three times -- and they STILL arent as clean as they should be.At least the dryer does a decent job, but it makes a weird noise that has me worried it will break down at any moment. Also, I fortunately have not had as many issues with the washer getting unbalanced as Ive read that others have had, but I hope I didnt just jinx myself by saying that because it does seem to be happening more often of late.At the moment, I simply cannot afford to replace a washer/dryer set thats only a few years old. My old Maytag lasted 20+ years with only two minor belt replacements, so I certainly did not expect to have to replace a three-year-old set or spend gobs of money fixing something that, according to other reviews, probably wont fix a thing.I tell you what, though, when I do go to replace them, if the stores do not have the old-timey machines with large-capacity tubs, I will go to a store that refurbishes them and spend my hard-earned money there -- most likely on a Maytag set. Maybe I should go check them out now to see how affordable they are. I know for a fact they wont cost thousands of dollars and will STILL actually get my clothes clean with less time and water -- not to mention without Downys smell-good-dirty pellets. LOLIn conclusion...just say no! Not only to LG, but any washer like it because its not possible to PROPERLY wash laundry without an agitator. Furthermore, if youre a green person like me who wants to save on water, you will cringe at how much water these washing machines cause you to waste just trying to get your laundry clean -- and to no avail.

I purchased an LG refrigerator June of 2015. Upon receiving the fridge just a week later the freezer stopped working. Had it repaired and was under warranty. Now July of 2017 the compressor stopped working. TWO major components on a two year old refrigerator is ridiculous! The customer service at LG is unbelievable. And not in a good way. I called 5 times and got someone different each time. NO ONE CARES there. I was given the runaround for a month now. You wouldnt believe what I went through... I will NEVER buy another LG product, nor will I recommend to anyone. Beware...this company doesnt care! I am now buying a new fridge...after the one that I bought from LG is definitely a lemon. Back in 2012, I purchased $8000 worth of LG appliances for my kitchen and laundry. Long story short I have replaced the dishwasher, it could not be repaired. In September of this year, the microwave exhaust had a mind of its own. It would come on and off by itself. To use the it I would plug it in and unplug it. The part to repair it was more than half the price of a new one. In September I purchased the model LMH2235ST. A short time later the exhaust fan stopped working. I called customer service more than a dozen times. They gave me a case number and said they will call when to set up a date to come and repair. After many calls to them they kept saying they would expedite it. I have heard that several times more. I have asked them to send another to my home with a return label, but they said they could not do that. I called customer service just now December first, now I dont even get to speak to anyone, the recording says to go online. So thank you LG for nothing!!

We purchased this fridge about 4 years ago. From the start it had a manufacturing defect on the water hose that supplies water for drinking. It would drip down the front of the fridge after you got water out of it. They came out and replaced the whole door, but would not replace the stainless steel lever that had gotten stained from their defect. Then it started to give us ice with what looked like dandruff, I have not been the 1st person to complain about this. All it needs is a new ice tray but have to buy the whole assembly. The door since day one has had moisture collecting on it, bad door seals I am suspecting. You close the left door and the right one pops open. This thing is a piece of garbage, and I got the same dont care attitude with their customer service as others have noted on here. We also have an above stove microwave, 2 went out right out of warranty, not even a month past. LG means life is good for them, cause by time you find out you bought a piece of crap it is too late. I also wish I could post a picture of what the ice tray looks like, it grew some yellow hard something or other on it. Very gross to say the least. It seems to me all they care about is making a sale, but not taking care of the customer after purchase. I will never ever ever ever buy LG again.

I purchased an LG refrigerator 7 yrs ago for $3,000 and the compressor just went out over a week ago. I was unaware of the class action lawsuit over the compressors until I started researching for reviews. According to the manufacturer, the compressor replacement is under the 10 year warranty so they will cover the replacement. However, it will cost about $1,000 for the labor and additional parts besides the compressor to be replaced. And... heres the kicker, even after its replaced the manufacturers warranty date does not reset, it continues from the date of purchase. Thus only giving me 3 more years of coverage. Not good... If the compressors are only lasting 5-7 yrs or even less, I can foresee dumping another $1,500 into the refrigerator since the manufacturers warranty would have since expired. Not good at all LG. On another note, I had to have the cooling eliminate in the freezer replaced last year and it was only 6 yrs old. We dont do anything extreme to the refrigerator, it just sits there and keeps the food cool and frozen. It doesnt make sense to pay for a high end product for it to not stand up to higher expectations. Not good LG, not good at all.

Less than 2 years later my dryer again has no heat! The repairman came today and the exact same parts need to be replaced again! I feel I have a defective machine and LG says they will most likely just repair it. I feel they should replace it. An appliance that only worked for less than 6 months is not what I thought I was buying. I thought I was buying quality! I will never buy an LG again! And will not restart until the next day. Thought it was all due to the thumping. And the lint vent needing cleaned. Found out the drum had a crack in it because of a faulty weld. And the burning smell is coming from the electrical board in the controls. I was told it was out of warranty so I have to buy a new dryer. I will never ever buy an LG brand again.

My LG refrigerator (7 years old) compressor failed, LG does not want to cover labor to replace it. There is (was) a class action lawsuit against LG about faulty compressors so it is a known issue. None of LG authorized repair shops in my area wants to fix this compressor issue. I also called 15 local repair shops and I heard multiple times that even after a compressor is repaired it is about a 50% change that it will work properly. Thats why repair shops dont want to fix them. I am not in a position to spent $600 for labor cost now especially if I may need to pay the same cost again because the compressor issue was not resolved/fixed. It is a very expensive problem that LG has created and knows about and LG has to be willing to repair the compressor at no cost to customers because it is such a persistent problem. LG is refusing to cover the cost of the compressor itself and the labor cost to replace it or provide a refund for the refrigerator so we can afford to buy a new one.

They would have been injuries. Called LG service and they didnt know why this would have happened and wasnt under warranty as stove was manufactured May 08. Also, when used at Thanksgiving, turkey was under cooked as oven would come up to set temp but wouldnt hold for more then 10 minutes. Cooked an 18 lb thawed turkey for over 6 hours and still not done. This stove came with the house when we purchased. Dec 13. Cook top is impossible to keep clean. Must be cleaned every time it is used. Would never purchase an LG product nor a stove with a glass cook top or a glass front panel again.

I purchased an LG French-door refrigerator in November, 2010, from Home Depot for $1198. Earlier this week I came home to puddles of water in my kitchen as the refrigerator compressor died resulting in my losing about a couple hundred dollars-worth of food. I called LG customer service, gave my model number and was told by their representative that the compressor was under warranty and I would only have to pay for labor. I was then provided with the numbers of two LG approved repair services. I had one service come out today and charge me $95 to confirm it is the compressor that no longer works, and let me know that labor cost to repair would be $650. That is pretty high so I called LG customer service again because my friend had the same thing happen to her LG refrigerator 3 weeks ago (what a coincidence) and it cost her $250 in labor, a big difference from $450. Turns out LG can send out one of their repair technicians who can do the repair for a total of $375. I do not know why this wasnt offered from the beginning and why I was directed to an independent repair service that costs almost double, but that is a sub-issue. What was truly upsetting was that it was at this time that the customer service representative told me that my refrigerator is actually not under warranty and that I would have to pay for parts and labor. If I had been told this from the beginning then I would have not have had the repair person come out and waste $95. I would have just gone directly to buying a new refrigerator, which is what I am left to do now because the cost of labor and parts will be near $1,000. So in sum, I spent nearly $1,200 on an LG refrigerator to last me less than 8 years and, to add insult to injury, I then spent an additional $95 for a repair call on the bad information provided by the LG customer service center. I asked LG if they would reimburse me for this and they refused. What makes the whole situation even worse is that I see that there was a class action lawsuit over the LG compressor failures, so this is a known issue to LG. Obviously LG is not standing behind its products and its customer service is sub-par. I will not be purchasing LG items ever again and this includes not only appliances but also mobile devices, televisions, audio and computers. I wanted to share this by sharing this experience so others can avoid similar losses.

RE: LG French door refrigerator - inverter linear compressor, made in China. Purchased from Costco in Aug 2016. Ice maker and freezer went out September 2018 - 3 weeks after the warranty expired. Fortunately - We have a backup 10 year old KitchenAid fridge. Advice: stick with Kenmore or KitchenAid - don’t waste your money on LG.

This review is for the LG WT5170HW Wave 4.7 Cu. Ft. White Top Load Washer.
This review is for the LG WT5170HW Wave 4.7 Cu. Ft. White Top Load Washer. I purchased this washer 2 years ago. I was looking for the largest capacity that I could reasonably afford. I also wanted to save water. I was replacing an old agitator-type GE model that was still going strong after 17 years. Ever since I purchased this machine I have had problems with it giving the UE message (uneven load). Dont even think of using the capacity of this machine to the fullest. Anything above half-full will automatically cause UE messages. Anything bulky like towels or bedding will cause the UE message. Sometimes it gives the UE message for what seems like no reason at all. Basically Ive had to wait downstairs and babysit this machine to get it to finish about half of its loads. As for water savings, whenever the machine gets a UE message, it adds water to try to fix the problem, so any water savings are lost. I am amazed at the amount of water this machine uses. Here is the worst part. Recently while doing a load of laundry, the machine malfunctioned and would not stop filling itself with water. Thankfully I was down there cleaning otherwise I wouldnt have known and my basement would have been flooded. Something has gone haywire and the machine will not stop filling itself with water now every time I try to use it.I purchased the service warranty (something I normally never do) and called the service center and they cannot find a certified repair center anywhere near me (we live near Minneapolis/St. Paul). This afternoon I spent at the laundromat, and my $1,000 paperweight sits downstairs looking pretty. And, theres no one in the Twin Cities area who wants to work on these things apparently. Save yourself the money, time, headaches and stay away from this product!

LG has exceeded my expectations and I would buy from them again. They have a great customer service department. I like that there is a built in ice machine and I like the color and that it matches the rest of my kitchen. I like that it is a smart refrigerator. But it is a little bit too large and I dont like the double doors or the fact that the freezer is on the bottom. I dont like that it is a smart fridge because IM worried about privacy of my data.

We purchased a new LG french door refrigerator from Spencers in January, 2015. The 2 year full warranty was purchased at that time. The refrigerator compressor broke in May, 2018. The compressor was warranted but NOT the LABOR ($600). After researching, found there are tons of LG compressors going bad. LG should stand up and warranty their bad products when they know there is a problem. There is only 2 of us using this appliance and should not have happened. $2,500+ and this is what we get. I will never purchase another LG product!!!

Brand new LG top freezer refrigerator was replaced twice. None of the freezers could maintain a zero or lower temp - sometimes getting up to as much as 15. LG told me theyd send someone out but since the problem is random, if it isnt above zero, they will charge me for the call. INSTEAD of researching what LG has done in the past to fix this problem and just doing that repair, they insist I have to wait until the fridge constantly fails. Which is may or may not. Meanwhile, I cant protect food from freezer burn and spoilage. I called LG. Was disconnected. Called again. was put on hold 15 minutes and was disconnected. Called again. Was told someone would call me back. No one did. Emailed asking what the fix was for this issue and was told to read the owners manual and that I had to call their 800 number to talk to a person. The email contained a link to a chat which told me I was not authorized to use. So I have a new refrigerator with a useless freezer and no help from LG. All they need to do is tell me how the problem has been fixed for others. Instead, they not only lost a customer, I will caution others not to deal with LG.

We had bought a washer/dryer combo LG top load machine through Costco and within 3 months the washer would not turn on. It was working fine one day and the next it lost all power. As advised we reset our breaker and reset the outlet, both were working fine. Called LG on 6/13 regarding the issue and was told within 3 business days they should have a technician out to fix the machine. We waited patiently till the 18th, spent about 10hrs between costco and LG customer service, to be told that the service was cancelled by LG. They put another ticket in and asked us to wait again for another service provider to come out. Waited again till the 22nd, still no communication of an appointment day/time, and called LG customer service to be told earliest appointment may be the 30th.My wife is a healthcare worker, and her laundry is piled up in the garage for the past 2 weeks and she is running out of clothes!! When we explained our situation to LG customer service supervisor Sarah, my wife was told there is nothing they could do. That we had to wait. When we asked to speak to someone above her, I was told there is no one above her she is the highest person I could talk to! We asked for a replacement since the machine was just bought on March 10, and was told by Sarah that we needed to go through Costco for a replacement. So we called costco who in turn says it must be done through LG. NEVER BUY LG PRODUCT!! All you will get is a run around on a new product not even 3 months old!!

Updated on 12/25/2020: DO NOT BUY LG UNTIL YOU READ THIS. 2ND COMPLAINT. LG has not followed up on resolving issue with our LG refrigerator as Promised. They have not responded to emails and only way to contact is through Consumer Affairs. We used unit 53 days and broke down. LG says not repairable and have to Reorder a New unit 11/20/2020, with a delivery date 1/25/2021. Louis, webmaster for LG, assured within 10 business days it would be resolved. I filed complaint 12/5/20, called 12/23/20 because LG has not contacted me. Ashley at LG stated that Claim and Case WAS NOT Submitted nor processed and have to resubmit and wait another 10 business days for their response, if any. LG wants us to follow up if they dont contact us after 1/3/2021. UNBELIEVABLE! We have not used our LG Refrigerator since 10/28/2020, look how long LG has Procrastinated in resolving issue. LG will not contact us, follow up or make our case a PRIORITY as Louis stated it was. When LG states on 12/23/2020 they have to resubmit claim because of their error and we have to follow up ourselves is disturbing. I am sorry to write a 2nd review, but again, LG will not contact us accept through this site. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE RESOLUTION PROCESS. All we want is our LG Refrigerator that we bought and paid for. Is this asking to much from LG?Original Review: Terrible Customer Service and Quality of 2020 LG Counter Depth French. Received on 9/3/2020. Broke down, No power at unit, on 10/28/2020. It took LG 19 days to inspect after missing 3 LG scheduled repairs appointments that LG set up for us. LG opened 5 Customer Concern Reports and Three Different Repair Orders. Refrigerator not repairable and none in stock through Home Depot. We had to Reorder another LG unit and paid extra for an ESP plan to protect ourselves, $195.00 dollars for an ESP plan to Protect ourselves. LG promised delivery 1/25/2021, UNBLIEVEABLE. Home Depot tried to elevate our New Order, 11/20/2020, but with no help from LG. Home Depot would rather upset an American Customer than upset LG, a South Korean Company, who lacks American Values, Culture, Empathy and Ethics. LG should provide FREE 5 year ESP plan with units to Prove that LG has Trust and Confidence in their Products.

It is a normal refreshing with the freezer on the top and the cold ones on the bottom. It has lot of storage in the door. Keep the temp well. It is opens on the top and on the bottom. I would love to have more room. Things dont fit in there correctly and lots of smack not being used. I would like to have a way to take out all the shelves so that cleaning is easier. But I know they last a long time and they do not break a lot. I looked at Whirlpool for the same resonance I would like to look at Wolf because I would like to be a huge set up.

I purchased an LG washing machine. First one came damaged as it was delivered without a box. The replacement which came several weeks later after several follow up phone calls is defective - leaking. The company and Home Depot refuse to replace. They insist it must be repaired. This is a brand new washing machine! I was on the phone with an ‘executive customer device rep for quite a while and she could not help. I provided information including the serial and model number over a week ago. I heard back from her today saying she could not have a service authorized until she received the serial number which was not on the receipt even though this was supplied to her on the phone. Sloppy handling. Poor processes. Indifferent reps not empowered to do their job. Never will purchase an LG again!

After reading the other reviews, I felt compelled to write a response as well. The dishwasher does not clean the dishes and I rinse my dishes before I put them in. The odor has never gone away as well and when I read that someone had done testing and the dishwasher is off-gassing, I was really annoyed. Good luck on the 4 year extended warranty because LG sends someone out to look at the problem. They call tech help and say the problem is not covered under the warranty. Does anyone know how to fight LG on this problem? It seems there are enough of us who are fed up with their products. I also have a LG French Door that has a foul odor as well. I am really disgusted with their products.

Open till recently I was very happy with my LG refrigerator. Unit has always been great. Do you want to half years after me owning your own at the compressor went bad. I was very happy to hear that LG would replace it free of charge however I was not thrilled that it took so long to get a service appointment. I was almost a week without a refrigerator. Repair technicians came in. That’s where the real trouble started. The first time they said they didn’t have the right parts and it didn’t work so they left the refrigerator off for a number of days again while they were could get the right stuff to Complete the job. About a day after my refrigerator which finally running I called the repair company directly and told them that the unit was making load noise and vibrating. All my drinks were moving around on shelf but nonetheless I was happy to have a refrigerator again. Now it’s been 4 weeks with multiple phone calls to the repair company with no response to come out and rectify the issue. So now I turn back to LG to complain and to finally try to get someone out to fix this thing. An exceedingly long and painful process.

Pity theres not a less than 0 stars option. I do several loads of laundry a week for a family of five. The washer doesnt even wet the clothes: I mean the clothes are actually dry in the middle of the load; only the outside of a medium-sized load gets wet. I called LG. When I told the repair guy that the washer didnt get the clothes wet, he checked it and said nothings wrong, thats just how it goes. Here is the proper way to use this washer: Pretreat and load clothes. Run water in laundry room sink until hot; fill a bucket with soapy water, and pour over clothes in machine to make sure they get wet. Set washer to: cotton, pre-wash, extra high heat, highest spin speed, heavily soiled, water plus, and turn on the machine. Wait two and a half hours, and then repeat. Thats right--about two and a half hours to get a load done, five to get them more-or-less presentable. Cold is cold; tap cold--whatever that it--is cold, warm is cold, hot is cold, extra hot is actually hot.I emailed Energy Star: they said that if I have a problem with the machine I should call the manufacturer. When I explained that the machine was working to spec--that it was designed that way--they explained that they DONT TEST the Energy Star machines to make sure they do the job theyre supposed to, they rely on the manufacturer to confirm that the appliance does the job its supposed to AND meet Energy Star requirements. Somebody needs to clue in the EPA and Energy Star: if you have to wash every load twice, in blazing hot water, and replace the appliance every 3 - 5 years (typical of modern machines) youre not saving resources. Getting rid of this and getting an old-fashioned Speed Queen.

LG WT1101CW Top load washer - I purchased this washer January of 2014. I read the reviews in consumer reports and that is how I came to purchase this washer. My issue with it is that I feel it has more control over me than I do over it. It uses less water and does not saturate the items and because it uses less water, when you add chlorine bleach it leave chlorine fade marks on white wash as well as a darker wash. This has happened many times and a lot of my items were ruined. I do not believe that Consumer Reports tested this issue on clothing. I have also had to rewash my clothing because the dirt just didnt come out. I currently have sent LG an email with regard to this issue. Today, I just purchased a Kenmore with an agitator and it has a water level that I can choose. Although it is 3.6 cf as opposed to 4.3 cf. submitted by serial number. CHLORINE BLEACH DISPERSEMENT AND WATER LEVEL IS THE ISSUE. I have gotten unbalance codes but machine works and is quiet but I want my laundry clean.

We were looking around and doing some research a few years ago when we bought our first LG fridge. And in that process, we found that we liked the design and the products that they offered. But our most recent refrigerator has been nothing but a nightmare. It keeps failing constantly. And now, LG’s saying they won’t replace it unless I have the original receipt. So now, we’re stuck with a broken refrigerator till I can potentially find a way to get a receipt. I’m extremely likely to go to a different competitor after this experience. We purchased our refrigerator in August 2016. In February 2019 it stopped freezing and cooling. I called LG and the customer service (800 243 0000) and was scheduled for a service call the following morning. Based on the description of the problem the customer service rep advised there would be no charge for the service call or repair. (She didnt advise why, I didnt ask because I was thrilled after reading the other horror stories on this site.) The technician, Bryan ** called me about 15 minutes after the call to confirm our appointment the following morning and ask me about the problem so that he could ensure he had what he needed on the truck to make the repair. The next morning Bryan called when he was on his way to my house. (Within the time window that was scheduled. Another thing that doesnt happen that often that people actually show up in the time frame they are supposed to.) He began working at 10AM and finished by just after 11AM. He would courteous and very competent in making the repair. It turned out to be a failed/faulty compressor which was replaced with a new one. Nothing but trouble since very first wash. Ive used my new top-of-line LG washer about a dozen times. In about 75% of those cycles, it makes a grinding sound so loud that it reverberates throughout the entire house. When the repair tech finally came (after I filed FOUR support requests), the sound didnt occur during his visit and he said he couldnt repair it. He also said the problem is a known issue, and even if the sound had occurred while he was there, he couldnt repair it anyway because the problem is electronic and not mechanical.Ive also noticed a few cycles where it didnt fill with enough water to completely wet the items, and they smelled very soapy after the cycle ended even though I always use the minimum recommended amount of detergent. What Im left with is an expensive brand new machine that is pretty much unusable, in the midst of the COVID pandemic when Id especially like to be able to sterilize my clothing and linens. I couldnt be more disappointed in the quality of this product and lack of resolution to the problem.

We called and reported it to the company and made an appointment for someone to come and look at it. No one showed up for the day we set the appointment in which my wife stayed home the entire day waiting on.We called that evening or the next day and was told it would be the next week before someone came out because the part wasn’t in. The question at that time was what part was ordered because no one had been out yet to see what was wrong with it. Someone did show up the next week and changed the compressor out. Since then the refrigerator makes a loud noise when the compressor kicks on. We have called back about the noise and someone came back and looked at it and thought he fixed it. It still makes the loud noise and we have called again but no one has come out to look at it again.

Bought a LG dishwasher from Pacific store inside of Best Buy store in Tampa
Bought a LG dishwasher from Pacific store inside of Best Buy store in Tampa, Florida last Nov 28, 2014. Even after reading the reviews, stating that the machine left a stranger smell, didnt clean well... I was not totally convinced. :-( BIG MISTAKE!!! REVIEWS - BELIEVE THEM - Yes, the machine is not good AT ALL. The machine is not used too much, but after few month... the smell that was coming from it was incredible disgusting!!! It looks like something had died inside (let me make clear, I do rinse all dishes before I put them inside of the dish washer). Glasses started getting to be white. Plates I could feel there were something being left on them, they do not dry completely. After few months I got 2 guests in my home and the machine got to be used every day... OMG - then I really could see the damage - I finally decided to call for service after 10 month.CUSTOMER SERVICE - part 2. When I called the LG, they said they could only find me by my phone number, but they did not found me. I called the store I bought it from - Pacific inside Best Buy, they said ONLY by phone number, I gave them, but they would not find me over the phone. So I walked to the store with my phone bill on my hand. THEN THEY FOUND ME.All this took me another month to deal with. Now I am on the 11 month of my warranty, my time is running out (which Best Buy can find you by whatever info you give them)... Best Buy manager step in, apologize and ask the manager of Pacific to make an appointment for service call for me. Yes, they did, but today I was waiting from 8 a.m to 12 pm and nobody show up. I called the company, and they said, they dont service my area. So I said, What? So, after me spending all morning waiting, and not going to work, you dont come? They said they had called LG, and told them they dont service this area, and LG should had given my schedule to another company.I called LG again... LG said I apologize... someone else can go to your home on Wed. I said, I cant not go to work on Wed. They said, Well, Advance Tech Service, did not tell us that they did not service your area. We cannot do anything. So I said, Well, again, its me, the consumer who gets in the middle of Best Buy, Pacific, LG, and Advance Tech Service... No one wants to take responsibility for the mistake, for my pay day that I didnt make. The LG manager hang up on my face. Its rude, cruel and not right. The only thing I want is a machine that work properly and well, and someone responsible the mistake. LG and customer service - VERY BAD - DO not buy from them or from Pacific.Updated on 11/12/2015: OMG - the LG service man came to my home yesterday. After showing him my machine, how dirty my dishes were, stainless steel full of white soap, cups of coffee with all the coffee inside, I told about the terrible smell that would come out between washes, showed my cabinet that had some type of damaged on the side due to moisture... He couldnt find anything wrong with it. He said the only problem was You have to turn your faucet to hot water to a 120 degrees before turning the dish washer on. This is the problem with your machine... He even suggested that I would install a heater under my sink!?! I have lived in this house for 16 years, and I have had only one dishwasher before, which basically broke after enough use, and always worked perfect. What is he talking about?!?! Please help!!! Its under warranty and do not want to fix it.

We bought an LG Dishwasher, Washer & Dryer - BIG MISTAKE, 3 pieces of JUNK!!! The washer always spins unbalanced. Cant fix it! Then the bleach dispenser stopped working a year later. The door got real tight and started leaking. Called LG. Repair guy shows up just to find out whats wrong and order parts. Orders a new door. 2 weeks later, he shows up with a RED door - our washer is white. He says, Guess I should of checked the box. Two more weeks go by and we finally get a white door. Bleach dispenser still doesnt work. It washes OK but we hate it anyway!

I bought a French Door refrigerator in June of 2016. It completely stopped cooling in August of 2018. Called LG who sent me through some basic troubleshooting and gave me phone numbers to technicians that arent helpful. One sound sketchy (answers the phone Hello) and insisted I make an appointment thru a non-existent website or send an email to his Gmail. One said they wont service my town. One has yet to call me back. I called a reputable but non-LG-authorized repair service who said it would cost $1,200 for a new compressor and I would have to deal with LG myself (I think to buy the compressor). Given the reviews about back ordered parts, and lack of authorized techs, Im left to wonder how long I wait for the other technician to call me back, argue in vain with LG or just buy a new refrigerator. Very open to joining a class action lawsuit. I certainly dont make enough money to replace expensive items every two years. Reading up on refrigerators, old fashioned top freezer refrigerators are a whole lot cheaper and fail less often.

I have a brand new refrigerator LRDC2603S delivered on 9/12/2020. The refrigerator did not cool to 37 degrees & remain hot at 45+ degrees. We changed the setting to 33 but the fridge temp was only able to cool to 44 degrees. After numerous phone calls & with technician repaired it 4 times, the fridge temperature is still too hot, over 42 degrees. I have bought a refrigerator thermometer to monitor the temperature.Every time calling LG, it takes at least an hour before somebody answered the phone. Most of the time, you cant get hold of anybody. I was totally flabbergasted when a customer rep asked me whether I had done my troubleshooting after I called back to report the fridge still not working properly after another repair service. The technician was very nice & professional. Its the customer service people that are supposed to provide services that I have problem with. They are either non-responsive or rude or give you the merry go round or totally incompetent. And they will forward my phone call to another dept & then the phone was dropped. Nobody really tried to resolve the issue and give us a solid answer. The issue is very clear. Fridge didnt cool to the set temperature. If you cant fix it, replace it. And when I told them of my food keep getting spoiled. Their typical answer is sending me a link to report it so I can claim. Fridge was delivered last Sept. Its been 8 months and somebody supposed to get back to me. I am still waiting. Its 8 months already.....

My refrigerator has been repaired as of this date. After the May 15, 2020 service the freezer worked but not completely. It would not freeze ice cream and with a couple of weeks stopped working again. The follow up repair which was 06/23/20 appears to have finally resolved the issues with this freezer/refrigerator not cooling and freezing properly. I must say it has been a frustrating few years since the original incident in 2018 thru 2020. LG has resolved the issue finally and I hope this products keep functioning properly. Overall I am satisfied with the last repair done around June 2020. I have not had any problems with the refrigerator since. The repairman was very nice I must say and the 2nd time he was out appears to have fixed the problem.

DO NOT BUY LG refrigerator!!! The compressor on ours failed literally after 11 months and after 2 months of waiting for repair, theyre still trying to re-fix it with absolute disregard for any sensible customer care. LG does not even have their own people for repairs, they contracted another company so it is the blame game and you will never get an answer of when or if the refrigerator will ever be repaired. You will never be able to replace it even if it is under warranty with less than a year in use. LG will make sure you will receive their run around, at least thats our experience. Bottom line, the process of dealing with LG has been a nightmare and customers are on their own. LG does not care since they have already collected their money! Do yourself a favor and do not make our $2,800 mistake. DO NOT BUY LG - GARBAGE QUALITY and NONSENSE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I also bought a pair of LG appliances (washer and dryer). What a mistake, to say the least. I cannot even find service for these appliances in my area, due to the low quality of this product. It takes 3 cycles of 1:10 minutes to dry a normal load of clothes. I have to add vinegar to a load of sweats, to help with the smell. That is on top of a fabric softener. My towels also smell horrible, after washing and drying. My units are less tan 5 years old, and I have wasted over $2,000 on these low performance items. My life Is not good with these LG appliances.

We purchased LG appliances in October 2008 - a beautiful side-by-side fridge, a 5-burner gas range, microwave/hood, and dishwasher to the tune of almost $5,000. We have had nothing but problems with the dishwasher since day 1. LG replaced it once, then replaced the heating coils and then stopped responding to our requests for help. I loved my range. That is until the knobs started falling off and we would smell gas. The range was not even a year old. LG sent someone out to look at it, who told me the burners turned on okay and there was nothing they could do. I contacted LG, explained that the gas would turn on from just brushing by the range and we would not know it until we smelled gas. They agreed to send replacement knobs. I noted that, in the subsequent model, the stems and knobs had been redesigned. I assume because this was a universal problem.I continued to complain about the safety; however, once I explained that there was no safety issue if the knobs were replaced, LG agreed to continue to send me new knobs whenever needed. Since that time, I have called about once a year for a new set. I contacted them today and after over an hour of arguing, was disconnected after being told the stove is out of warranty and they will no longer replace the knobs. I explained that I paid $1,500 for this range and the complaint/concerns were raised during the warranty period. I actually had to take pictures of the online chat with my cell phone after I was disconnected. At this point, I am contemplating a class action suit primarily due to the safety concerns related to having the gas on without the burner. I refuse to pay $350 for a new set of knobs every year. As an aside, I have noted that LG has stopped making ranges.

I purchased an LG dishwasher for my newly renovated kitchen, it was professional installed the first of May right before the final acceptance of the renovation. The plumbers tested the dishwasher and all appeared ok, I never had a chance to even use it once. On May 9th I walked into the kitchen to find three inches of water in the kitchen and dining/living rooms, with water pouring out from the dishwasher. It was inspected by the factory rep from LG that a clip on one end of water hose was missing and determined this was a factory defect. Since there was extensive damage to three Persian rugs floating in water, furniture and areas behind the newly installed cabinets I filed a claim with LG and after 4 months they still have not made a reasonable offer to reimburse me for the damages their defective product caused. Very very poor customer service. Will never purchase another LG product and would not recommend their products to anyone.

We purchased this fridge in 2010, to the tune of $2,500-. We have had so many issues with it that we are now on our 3rd replacement model. Fortunately, I bought the 5 yr warranty with the store. This last fridge, LG would only cover the pro rated portion remaining, so the warranty company covered the difference. And I had to pay another $500- for another 5 year warranty. I bought this LG Gas Slide In Stove Model LSG4511ST from Home Depot online on Feb 17, 2018. Within a few weeks of barely using it all five burners on the stainless steel stove top were corroding with rust. We just spent a ton of money remodeling our kitchen and were excited to get our first and new Slide in Gas Stove. Well the nightmare began. We contacted Home Depot and they referred us to LG. Home Depot wouldn’t speak to us. We paid $1300 for the stove. After many calls, chats and emails to LG customer service and their executive office they replaced the entire SS stove top and all five burners after SIX months of hell with them. They didn’t show up, excuses, no response to emails, no call backs - HORRIBLE company. Then within a short time after they replaced parts it started corroding AGAIN around ALL FIVE burners. The calls, chats, emails to LG started again and this time they don’t respond at all. I tried Home Depot also and they will not take any responsibility. Nothing! I am sitting here with a defective ugly stove in the middle of our brand new kitchen. I am now forced to sue them. I filed a complain the US Bureau of Consumer Goods a month ago, was assigned a complaint number and “investigator” name and email and they don’t respond either. I have tons of documentation of this nightmare and photos. The icing on the cake is I wrote a review for the stove on www.homedepot.com and they “rejected” it. They didn’t want the public to know the truth about a product they sell!

We purchased the LG gas range through Costco in October of 2017. Purchase through Costco extends the one year warranty to 2 years and using the Costco CitiCard for the purchase extends the warranty for two more years. We began having problems with the range in 2018. When we would turn the oven on we thought there was a smell of propane - this gradually became worse and worse. We noticed it a great deal when attempting to use the Easy Clean function - the burner would not light and the oven would not function during that process. Then we began to notice a problem every time we turned the oven on. We had the propane company come out and check the tank and flow regulator and everything checked out okay. We contacted LG and after some back and forth and delays the sent a local repair company out in November of 2018. The repair person checked the oven and felt there was a problem with the oven getting the proper amount of air to light. LG support told the repairman they would send an oven valve. That repair was not done until the middle of January 2019. I was told initially by LG to absolutely not use the oven until it was repaired. That meant we went through Thanksgiving and Christmas without being able to use the oven. In between all of this, the owner of the propane company came out and checked the gas flow to the oven since LG was saying they felt the problem could be the propane flow. The propane company did a water column test on the propane from the pipe to the stove and it was perfect. We began using the oven again and gradually problems began once again until one morning when my husband turned the oven on and the house filled with gas. We rushed around opening all of the windows and turning on fans even though it was a cold morning. This time I not only contacted LG but also contacted Costco concierge. Once again the repair person came out and inspected. He said when the oven is on there is a really bad metallic burning smell and it wasnt lighting properly. He once again had to wait for LG to send repair parts which he replaced as instructed. After completing the repairs the oven was still not lighting properly and was shooting gas. He made several attempts to get it working. The only way the gas would light was if he put his head into the oven and blew into the convection opening. Yikes! This oven is so not safe! I was very concerned that he might be injured by doing such a thing. Now we are once again in a holding pattern waiting for LG and Costco Concierge to come up with a satisfactory solution. I am fed up with the situation. Not only are we having these problems but this is not a very good range overall. When baking or cooking anything in the oven it is necessary to keep turning the food every few minutes or the back side of the food will be overly browned or burned. The other problem with the oven is there is no shield on the top of the door and if one isnt careful while the oven is open it is very easy to be burned on the leg by the hot metal edge. I havent had a problem with the knobs on the top being bumped and turned on but when I am cleaning the stove top I usually remove those knobs so that I can clean that surface too. The burner parts are pretty junky metal but fortunately, they are removable and with some work, it is possible to get them looking okay. I am noticing some rusted areas on the burner caps which seem to be crummy cast iron but I just scrub it off. On the whole, the range is a lot of work to keep up. We wont even go into the Easy Clean (its a dud) and the regular oven cleaning function is not so great either. Since we now have no idea how much longer this will go on we have purchased a countertop oven to use. We had borrowed one from a neighbor but since this has gone on for far too long we are appreciative of their kindness but dont want to continue borrowing. I feel that LG is just stalling us as long as they possibly can and only hope I can count on Costco to insist they make this right.

Another LG appliance failure just over three years after purchase. Over the past year, I went back and forth with LG trying to get someone to repair my oven that was less than three years old and no longer working. After many phone calls, emails, email to company president with no response, I finally resorted to writing a scathing review on Consumer Affairs. My oven ultimately got repaired free of charge and I was happy.I purchased a LG LFXC24726S refrigerator on 3/6/2018 along with a full set of appliances. Up to this point, I have been happy with my purchase. I found out this morning that my compressor has failed. I reached out to LG via chat and explained my situation and asked what my options are for getting it fixed, assuming that the company would make it right for a loyal customer. And a loyal customer I am with over $10,000 of LG products in the home between appliances and electronics. I was told that the part has a ten year warranty and I would have to cover any labor costs. I am frustrated as I was appeased when this happened last time when the company provided the labor and part free of charge, as they should given the expense of the appliances and subsequent failure within 3 years. I was told that this is the company policy and they cannot cover labor expenses.I strongly believe that anybody with good business acumen takes care of their loyal customers because word of mouth can make or break a company. I am again, very disappointed that LG is not stepping up to the plate to take care of someone who has shown loyalty to the company over many years. I will give them another chance to make this right or else my business will be taken elsewhere in the future to a company who values their consistent customers.

We purchased this dryer from Lowes in Round Rock Texas in February 2016. It was functioning properly until about a month ago. You would hit the power button, select your cycle and hit start. It would chirp and die immediately. A tech came out, said it needed a board. He ordered it and it came in and was replaced. Worked for a day or two and did exactly the same thing. He then stated that the power from the breaker box to the plug had some sort of power fall off.I called the electrician who verified no issues with the power. The LG Tech came back, the problem was not fixed and he stated the same thing. I called the electrician back. We changed out the breaker and the plug. Everything was working as needed but the dryer still would not start once the start button was activated. The tech is coming back tomorrow to check the system. I will repost if we are not successful. LG Waveforce Top Load Washer - I have not been happy with this product since day 1. After careful and close observation, I have come to the conclusion that this machine corrects for its inefficiencies by doubling and tripling some of the rinse and spin cycles, thereby making it MORE inefficient than the center-agitator style washing machine. I mean, really, it tells you a load will be 53 minutes and it ends up taking an hour and 53 minutes because of the extra cycles it runs itself thru just to balance and re-balance. When this thing dies (hurry, hurry) Im going back to the center-agitator style washer if theyre still on the market. So much for energy and water efficient washing machines. Geez, just clean my clothes without all this computer controlled inefficiency - paleeze.

We purchased our LG front loading washer and dryer in 2009 from Sears. The dryer model is DLE5955W and it worked beautifully for the first year. Then, all of a sudden, the machine began to cut off mid-cycle and will not dry the clothes completely - particularly on permanent press. We called Sears tech support since we had purchased a 5-year extended warranty on the machine. The technician came out and replaced the ETC board and sensor for moisture. The machine seemed to work for a while, and then the same problem occurred again. This time, they replaced the central board and PLB assembly. A few weeks later, they diagnosed the machine had a sensor failure. Each time, the technicians appeared puzzled and were on the phone throughout the service. While they were very nice, they were unable to fix the problem which continues to persist. This past week, the tech said it’s another sensor and control panel. But when he arrived to replace it, he was told by their technology support team that he didnt have the authorization to install the received part. That phone technician indicated that our ceilings in our home were too high and that the cause of the problem was a venting issue. What we soon discovered was that Sears has a policy that if their technicians arent able to repair the machine after 4 visits, we are entitled to a new machine under the lemon law. This would have been the 4th visit. My husband spent 2 hours on the phone and was passed through every employee in Sears, including their department that determines if the product is a lemon. Weve been buying our home appliances from Sears for nearly 40 years - what a crock of **.

I splurged on a 3-door French Door with an ice maker and water in the door. It was purchased in 2009 and had problems right away. Within the first few months, the gaskets on the French doors ripped. I had a private company come out to fix them. When the company indicated to me that I might want to inform LG directly of my problem, I did. A lengthy, almost year-long process ensued. To this day, I have a 3-door French Door refrigerator that does not work properly. The ice maker flap in the door does not close, causing the ice to melt. It has permanently damaged my hardwood flooring. The gaskets have been replaced no less than three times and they still tear. LG customer service representatives, Garrett and Kuzi ** have told me that they will no longer pay to service the refrigerator and unless I pay for another service call, they will not pro-rate a new refrigerator. How sad and disappointing that I feel as though they lied to me and promised a pro-rate that they never followed through with. I truly hope this makes you think twice before buying an LG French door refrigerator. I have lost all confidence in this manufacturers ability to provide customer service. Their representatives can easily quote ridiculous policies that they must follow but they have absolutely no sense of a customers frustration over spending $2500 on a refrigerator that has NEVER worked properly.

Didnt buy an extended warranty because all my old refrigerators have ran for 12 years plus. And LG claims life is good. Well life is not good when your 2 year old refrigerator takes a dump and you just cant have anyone come and repair your refrigerator because LG only sell replacement parts to LG certified technicians. Their list of certified technicians is very limited and have horrible reviews in yelp. This is my first LG appliance and it will be my last.

I bought an LG front loader in December 2013. It went out in May of this year. I was told by LG I should have bought an extended warranty. The entire panel is out and it would be cheaper to buy a new machine. Ridiculous to say the least. Never again.

Model number LFC23760ST. My wife and I purchased this refrigerator with French doors and bottom freezer at Best Buy at the recommendation of the sales person. It seemed to be a good refrigerator until we used the ice maker. The ice maker is designed very poorly. As the ice cubes begin to build up in the container the ice begins to fall out of the back and underneath the freezer drawer and causes the drawer to get stuck. This happens on a constant basis whenever the container gets close to being two thirds full. Another downfall of the refrigerator is the crisper shelf and Im sure that all the other glass shelves have similar problems. From what I am able to determine the shelves are made of tempered glass. This is the first time I have taken the shelf out to clean. I did not take the other shelves out to clean, just the crisper shelf as Ive always cleaned them in place. I first left the glass shelf sit for about 15 minutes while I cleaned out the inside of the refrigerator and other parts. I then began to wash the glass shelf with lukewarm soapy water, and then I rinsed it off and let it stand for about seven minutes. There was still some water on the glass so I decided to wipe it with a clean cotton hand tower. While drying the shelf the action from slowly and softly wiping the shelf of remaining water it made squeaking sound when a glass window is being wiped clean. Then all of the sudden the glass shelf exploded on the third or fourth squeak. I mean, the glass shelf literally exploded and shattered. It did not shatter in place as a person would assume. I had glass all over the sink, counter top, all the way onto the top of the range, onto the window sill and all over the floor in all directions with the glass shards being about five feet away. I even had shards hit me on my body, arms and face, but luckily none got in my eyes. As a handy man who cleans many apartment units and replaced appliances, Ive cleaned over a hundred of refrigerator glass shelves and never once had this ever happened. Guess I should have taken pictures and send it to LG. Now I have to replace it and its over $50 but Im going to call LG and see what they have to say. If you have ever seen an opera singer singing and breaking a glass, this was similar except on a larger scale.

I love the side by side with the see thru door for drinks. Just knock 2xs on the window and it lights up so you can see in the door before opening to get a drink. It has sensors so if you dont close the doors completely they go off. Ice maker inside freezer, didnt want water on the door, last one leaked and never could fix it. Once and roomy and nice shelves and easy to clean, plenty of freezer space. Nice veg bins and meat bin. Stainless, love it.

We purchased all new kitchen appliances just over 2 yrs ago in Dec 2013. 1st the microwave was delivered dented. They came in and ordered replacement parts which were delivered dented not once, not 2x, not 3x, but 4 times. Then the fridge/freezer stopped making ice, needed a part replaced. The range/oven door glass was developing uncleanable stains in between the front of the door and the inside of the door. Then the oven door started to have a weak seal causing the top of the door to become dangerously hot. My legs were burnt a couple of times when removing items from oven. The door was replaced. The dishwasher stopped working because of a clogged hose. After calling LG for help many times! They sent a tech. And the parts and labor were covered although out of warranty. 2 days later another part went on the dishwasher and again is not working. 1 day after the microwave is not working either!!! Seriously? I cant tell you how many phone calls it has taken to get some positive response from LG. Call after call there was always a reason why they could not help me at that moment and asked that I call back. The customer service is awful! I spoke with several hours, kept me on the phone from 15 to 20 min at a time and half the time they would not even record or take notes of the call! I have missed work and sleep over this and all they can say is we are sorry for the inconvenience. They have no clue. I want these appliances gone! And replaced with another brand. Anything else would be an improvement. Stay away from LG!

This expensive dishwasher didnt work right from the start! It doesnt clean the dishes. It doesnt DRY the dishes. The soap dispenser is small, doesnt dispense the soap all the way, wont use the soap cubes, dispenser doesnt even open in the cycle most of the time! We have to dry the dishes by hand every time! We kept the rinse aid full at all times and the dishes and glasses came out covered with spots every time. After 1 year and 2 months hubby smelled something like wires burning. Sure enough, next morning the motor was shot!! No use trying to get in touch with anyone who will do something about it because NO ONE will do ANYTHING. Dont buy this dishwasher, its JUNK!

The worst purchase ever! We bought it on sale for $2500. The ice maker... the worst ever! We had problems with refrigerator within 3 months! Every major part replaced, including motor and compressor within 14 months. Here we are, 26 months later, and its dead again! We lost over $1,000 worth of food! There should be a lemon law on all products. This product is a LEMON!
