We purchased an LG french door bottom freezer from Home Depot July 2017 and the top refrigerator area will not maintain a safe temp. I have contacted LG customer service numerous times, it is still under manufacturer warranty however they have been unable to find a technician that will service our rural area, 4 referrals and no service. They assure me they will find someone to do repairs however it is nearing a month without proper working condition of refrigerator. Poor customer service, poor quality of product. Beautiful but non functional. Definitely do not recommend!

I like the double doors the clear glass. I love how its a smooth dark grey and that its quality and efficient. Saves me on the electric bill which is a big plus. It needs more space though. It should be bigger, more light and maybe try a see thru version of a it to attract more people and make kids say mommy get the clear fridge the is me personally but you know Im nobody. The look and quality it seemed like enough space which it was for a time but I like to eat. Its not too heavy and it doesnt make a loud noise. I used to have a loud ** fridge. Hated it. It wore out very easy too.

Food was spoiling but thermostat reading were within normal limits. I had a refrigerator repair done and was promptly quoted the replacement price for a new compressor. This is such a common problem that the repair profession knows the price off the top of his head. Not only was the compressor dead but the thermostats were dead too. I have chased LG for weeks without resolve. I do not believe they have any intention of resolving this issue. I am now forced to repurchase a new refrigerator and the refrigerator is only seven years old! I will never buy an LG product again! I RATE LG AS A ZERO. They should be barred from businesses in the USA!

I have a LG washer and dryer, both are four years old. I’ve been having intermittent issues with the washer not spinning/throwing a code. Three months ago I called LG to ask who the authorized repair rep is for my area (I do not live in a remote area). Two separate phone calls and 45 minutes out of my life and still they could not tell me who to call in my area. I finally emailed again about a month later and was provided two possibilities, one of them does not service my area. By the time I got a repair, the washer was completely seized and cannot be repaired. The washer went to the dump today. An email to the VP of service in Canada four days ago has not even been acknowledged. Absolutely deplorable customer care and more aggravation than it’s worth.

Bought a house with a LMXS30776S (2015) Double door fridge. Stopped cooling, Contacted LG, Parts covered under warranty. Labour is not. Paid $485 to have Compressor and Evaporator Replaced, still not working. Since then Condenser, motherboard, Defrost sensor, and other parts have all been replaced. Still not working. 4 Calls outs over 5 weeks and still have a warm fridge and freezer. Call centre couldnt care. I will fight with LG until this is fixed and I doubt I will ever buy another LG product again.

I bought an LG gas range in 2008! From the beginning, I have had nothing but problems with it. To get anything done about it, you have to spend hours on the phone and literally fight for something to be taken care of. Now, in 2013, I have peeling knobs on the range. The plastic on the stainless steel knobs is warped, cracked and coming off. My goal for a stainless range was to look nice and professional; now it looks **! I called thinking they would help me. Guess what? Nope! They will do nothing, but they will sell me new knobs at about $70 a pop. Yes, for one knob! Can you believe the insanity and the nerve? We own a restaurant, and I can get a commercial knob for my range for $10. This company is awful. I told the customer service representative I spoke with that I buy a lot of equipment for rental properties and I will never, never buy an LG appliance again. She didnt really care!

I wish I read about LG Brand before I bought my Refrigerator. I bought the top of the line French Door Fridge. Cost me $3500 thinking it would last. NOPE. I have had only trouble since I bought it 6 years ago. I have had LG come in to fix at least 5 times (ice issue, cooling issue, light issue, etc.). Now it is the sealing issue. Doesnt freeze or stay cool anymore. I have called numerous places to fix it but they cant even fix it. No one can fix an LG product! I get it... its 6 years old but I am willing to pay for it but no one can fix it. I called LG so I can get some assistance but the operators doesnt speak English! They sound like they are just reading from a screen and they are repeating what they are saying. Whatever you do, DO NOT buy an LG product. They do not stand by their own product!

My over the range microwave is just over a year old. Making popcorn last night I smelled plastic burning. Opened the microwave door and saw flames coming out of a melted hole in the top of the microwave. Its over a year old so my choice is to buy a new one or go without. Will be buying but NOT a LG. But I sure will be telling everyone I know what happened. For as little as I use it, it should of lasted me years and years.

LG Front Load Washer Model # WM9000HVA - This is the worst washer to hit the market. Close to being a year old, it started leaking, contacted LG. Then was told washer out of warranty. Found receipt. Called back, then was told technicians are all booked up. They have been directing me to videos for 2 months to resolve the issue myself. I finally got tired of getting the runaround, today I filed a complaint with my state Attorney General. We as consumers should not have to put up with this.

Bought this stove to replace another LG range model that had a recall on for burners that would not turn off but LG refused to do anything. With hesitation I decided to buy another LG range because it matched my other appliances and 11 months later I am again without a functioning stove. The motherboard has to be replaced as the right burners will not turn on unless you turn on the left burners in addition to the oven not turning off sporadically. While they have agreed to replace the part, I have no guarantee beyond that. Having paid $1800 to replace my previous range in addition to a LG tv in the last year, I have lost all confidence in the LG brand and will ensure to share my experiences both with the products and lack of empathy by the customer service employees. Customers do not want to hear that appliances break down and other responses like how would me putting myself in your shoes right now help you? or when commenting about the condition of my previous White Westinghouse range reliability making statements such as you replaced it for a reason though didnt you? The reason at the time was purely updating my kitchen. While LG products are aesthetically pleasing, they are simply unreliable and a safety concern.

Updated on 06/21/2019: Terrible service, Read reviews please prior to buying, Parts are impossible to get once needed. I have 6 yr old fridge that cost $3500 and we havent been able to get parts since April 9th. First part took 4 weeks to get and it was defective. It was manufactured 2 weeks after we ordered it. Ordered another control board the first of May and they keep delaying ship date. Now saying June 27th. Every week they move it back.Original Review: We have been unable to get parts for our 6 yr old $3500 refrigerator. Ordered April 9th and still nothing, every few days they give us a different answer. WE have been told they use a different board for almost every fridge and dont keep them in stock?? Now saying May 7th. Who can go without a fridge that long? We have children and new fresh items.

When I did get it closed I could not open it. It was stuck. Husband finally got it open. Latch is defective. My LG refrigerator broke down over a week ago after just 18 months. I paid over $3,500 for it. I have been trying to have my case reviewed by LG for over a week now but they keep rejecting my proof of purchase even though on top of the original receipt and invoice, the Home Depot store where I purchased it from, issued an official proof of purchase letter. I spent over $7,200 on all LG appliances and I am not happy with any of them. The display on the stove broke down in the first week I had it. The washer keeps stalling when I run certain programs. The dryer routinely stops with an error message that the duct is blocked (which is bogus, we checked it on many occasions and there is no obstruction) and the dishwasher does not completely dry the dishes even in extra dry mode. I have never before written a negative review but this company does not deserve to be in business. They do not stand by their product and use the annoying and false slogan Life is Good. Good for them maybe. Not for the customer. Their customer service is a nightmare. All calls are answered by representatives who serve as a layer of protection so you cannot actually get through to anyone who is a decision maker. If you are considering a purchase of an appliance, please stay away from the LG brand!!! Worst ever. I owned a Samsung fridge before and it worked like a dream and was nicely designed. I kick myself in the rear end for not sticking with my gut when I made the decision to purchase the LG junk brand.

We loved our LG French door refrigerator with water dispenser. However, like many reviews here, it stopped cooling after only 20 months. After two weeks of reporting and checking on the repair request, we still don’t have an appointment to repair and a customer service supervisor hung up on us even when I politely suggested that No, I couldn’t wait an additional 24-48 hours for an appointment. When I contacted three area appliance repair services they said they won’t fix LGs unless we pay their labor costs and apply for reimbursement for parts from LG. LG does not reimburse their labor so they stopped working on them. Then, this would cancel the warranty agreement with LG and we wouldn’t get any money back.

Like everyone else - initially I loved this unit. Its still a good looking one with amazing features - if they actually work. But when you have a sudden and complete failure of your unit it changes your opinion. And when LG customer service and their third party service centres do not treat it with any sense of urgency or allow you the courtesy of a call back then you feel bad!My stainless steel french door unit hums and lights up, but cools nothing, with no air blowing. I had to throw out over $300 worth of food and weve been without a unit for 5 days now! I am currently trying to resolve this issue with the customer service at LG Canada. Thankfully its still under warranty, plus I bought an extended warranty from the BRICK which would cover me for up to 5 more years of parts and labour or a replacement! LG sent a third party service guy who did not show up, after blocking out my whole day, which forced me to take the whole day off work losing a whole days wages as a result!! LG was unsympathetic with canned responses, and did not care much! Huge disrespect for me and my time and family! After spending over $3500 on a fridge you expect better service! In fact one of the girls at customer service had the nerve to tell me I could be charged for the service if my complaint about the unit was false! Imagine that! My advice dont buy any expensive LG refrigerator. Heck! Keep away from LG all together! Its easier to deal with a $500 unit than deal with this nonsense on a high end unit!

Our 4 year old LG front load washing machine started making a lot of noise during the spin cycle. We contacted LG who referred us to call an Authorized LG repairman. Well after a $100.00 service call that lasted about 30 minutes, we were told that the drum bearings were bad and not covered under the warranty and the machine would probably not be worth repairing.I will never buy another LG appliance again. We purchased an LG door in door refrigerator, spent a lot of money! We havent had it for a year yet and we noticed a defect on the finish of the stainless on the control panel cover... its like corrosion... I had been contacting customer service for one month!!! I know this is cosmetic and would Not be covered under warranty. We were assigned a service center... and a tech came to our home and confirmed that it was a defect. And Would not be covered but that he had seen this before.I again contacted LG thinking they would stand behind there product. After being disconnected 4 times I finally talked to a Dahl she said she would send approval for replacement to the same service CO. I had come out... after 10 days and no contact, I started to contact all services involved. Basically I had been straight up lied to!! They never sent approval... denied that they had and said they WOULD NOT!!! This appliance is not even a year old. We spent $3100.00 on it and they wont stand behind a defective finish!! We are soooo disappointed I cant even say. So we have a huge under one year old item that looks like crap in my new kitchen!!! I would NEVER RECOMMEND LG TO ANYONE.THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS AWFUL. Im helpful and frankly speaking a bunch of liars... 9 phone calls, hours of my time being disconnected for zero end result!!! Warning, unless you want an expensive piece of JUNK in youre kitchen... do not purchase an LG refrigerator!!!

The ice maker stopped working about a year after we bought it. That was the beginning. But far worse than that is the absolute junk quality of the refrigerator interior. EVERY PIECE breaks on its own, due to low quality plastic and sloppy product design. Weve already replaced them twice, and they need to be replaced again. Pitiful. Weve never had any problems like this with a refrigerator of any brand, until we bought LG. This third world company isnt ready for Prime Time in the world market. Our fridge broke after 5 months. We had the repairman at our house 4 times over 6 weeks and fridge still was not fixed. Called LG customer service many times and explained that our fridge has not worked for 6 weeks and we have 2 toddlers and no one was able to help me. Many different customer service reps told me they would put it my request for a new fridge but it would be denied and they were unable to help me. After asking for a manager, I was put on hold for 45 min and then disconnected, this happened 3 times and no one called me back. We were also promised the max amount for food spoilage and after finally agreeing to give us money back for our fridge, LG told us we no longer qualified for the food reimbursement so we lost hundreds of dollars worth of food (over the course of fridge braking 4 times). This was the worst customer service I ever experienced in my life and for that reason, we will never buy an LG appliance again!

My old washing machine gave out and I invested in what I thought was going to be a good washer. I decided to splurge a bit in order to get a good washer. I purchased from a 3rd party (JCPenney) so it took 4 weeks plus an additional 2 weeks because it was on back order. So for 6 weeks I was going to the laundromat. I took the day off work to be available for delivery. The delivery guys dropped it off, hooked it up and checked it and it was working. I did my first load of laundry and it would not complete a load. It gave me an error message. All day long I tried different ways around it and nothing. My husband changed the water hoses since it said it was the water pressure and nothing. We called LG that evening and basically was told because it was the water pressure in our home that they would not send a repairman. Our house is very new and our old washer worked fine water pressure wise. We told them to just take it back then and they agreed.Very long story short they would tell us they would take it back and or send a repairman and nothing would happen. We would call back and same promises and nothing. JCPenney has called them various times to have them send someone to repair and they refuse. Now its 2 weeks out and we, JCPenney and even the delivery people have called various times to get it repaired or returned and they refuse. Its insane were having to go through this kind of trouble when its brand new out of the box and we bought warranties on it. Im extremely disappointed in the way LG is handling this situation and I will never buy another LG appliance in my life nor will I recommend to anyone that they do either. They have lost a good customer because we are loyal to brands that are good to us. I wish they would just take this dang washer, refund us and we could just get a different brand. Never again will I make the mistake of buying LG.

LG High Efficiency Front load Dryer - I read through the complaints and have the same problem as many others. The only difference is my issue didnt happen right away. Ive had it a few years and recently it started making loud noises. I do OK with simple home repair so I opened the unit and found that the barrel was warped from a huge crack in the back seam that I couldnt see from the inside. Also over the agitators inside machine will start to develop a gap inside the barrel causing cloths to get stuck and twisted up ruining them. They also will trap change and other small items inside the agitators then make that noise as well. Why we cant have the old american made products again? Miss that.

The refrigerator continues to go through periods of not keeping foods cold in the freezer. We purchased our matching washer dryer combo from Sears as part of our remodel on our bathroom when our prior set died for the 10th time in 6 years. However had I known that $20-$70 repairs would amount to less than the headaches I would now be dealing with, I would have kept those workhorses any day of the week. Not only does our washer smell like everyone elses no matter what remedy we try, but it leaks, and leaks, and LEAKS! Weve had it serviced 3 times in the last 6 mos. trying to replace things that were wrong from the motor to hoses to outlets and now find out theres lawsuits because of these issues. Because of cutting corners and faulty mechanisms I have to do more laundry, which causes more leaks, which causes more laundry, crazy cyclic cycle. When are we the consumers going to say ENOUGH and when is anyone going to have our backs to compensate and make this right for us? Im tired of paying and paying and paying while these companies continue to manufacture GARBAGE!!! My washer still leaks after dumping thousands of dollars down the drain! Thanks LG!!! I purchased an LG model # LRFD22850ST about 5 years ago. On and off for the last 5 years, my fire alarms would go off. We could never find what the cause was. Thought maybe it was just the batteries needing to be replaced in my alarms. Never thought it could be the lights inside our refrigerator. Then one day, I opened up the refrigerator to the smell of burnt plastic. The light fixture cover was melted to the refrigerator. The sockets were black, and the food on the top shelf was as hot as if it just came out of the oven. I peeled off the light fixture and was able to get the light bulbs out. I unplugged the entire unit and called LG. They told me there was a problem (I later discovered there was a class action lawsuit) and that they would send someone out to fix the problem. No charge to me. I was told that I should be fine to plug the unit back in but to make sure not to put any light bulbs in. They set up an appointment with a service provider they chose. The service provider called me and LG and refused to take the call. They said it was very difficult to deal with LG and were never able to get the parts needed. LG then chose another service provider. Same story. They refused the call for same reason. LG then informed me that they ran out of service providers in my area and that my case was being transferred to the Locator Department (I guess this happens quite a bit for the company to set up an entire department to find people / someone to service their appliances!). They said that would take 5 - 7 business days. Of course, this was on a Thursday and Columbus Day is on Monday. So they probably wont even start to look till Tuesday, which means seven business days is actually more like 2 weeks. But I should be ok to plug it back in and wait all that time and take the chance that my house will burn down! I have spoken to several repair companies and many salespeople, and all seem to believe that if an appliance goes on fire you should never plug it back in. So Im off to buy another appliance. Dont think I will ever get anything from LG. Customer service was horrible. If youre looking at appliances, I would think twice on an LG product.

After reading on the energy savings we bought an LG HE front loader in 2010. Well, after reading my booklet and other information, I understood that have to keep the door open to not have odors in the washer. We have terrible build-up of mold inside the rubber gasket. I am allergic to mold. I have to get in there and clean with bleach but still comes back. I will say it cleans my clothes. You only need a tablespoon of detergent. But my problem now is the terrible LOUD noise it makes every time it empties the water out. Goes off-balance all the time with small loads. CANNOT wash a small throw rug. Its IMPOSSIBLE to find a reputable repairman. My mom bought the same washer 2011 and now her motor went after others issues with leaking. Shes going out and buying another name brand. I would never buy another LG appliance again.

On 7-20-2010, I purchased an LG french door refrigerator, model LFX28978ST from Best Buy for $2,168. On May 26, 2014, I reported the failure of the unit to LG. I had an LG authorized service technician diagnose the unit, and he determined that the compressor has definitely failed, and that very likely, the entire sealed system had failed as well. He, while still in my home contacted LG and conveyed the information, but they stated they would seek replacement only of the compressor to be certain. After two days, I called the service organization again to determine when the repair would be authorized and made. They noted that no authorization had been received from LG and that I would be responsible for the full cost. Thereafter, I contacted LG and requested a service authorization. It was noted that one would be provided. Approximately two days later, I re-contacted the service organization regarding the repair. They stated that LG would not allow them to seek the part from their normal parts distributor, and that it must come directly from the company. They additionally stated that they had ordered the part from the company. When I requested the shipping and estimated delivery date, the service organization stated that LG never releases that information to the service organization. As a consequence, I re-contacted LG and requested the same information. The LG representative noted at that point that the part had been ordered, was in stock, yet had not been released for shipment. The representative added that they would seek to determine its release date and return my call. They did not. I contacted LG again to inquire of the part shipping date, and was told that since so much time had elapsed, I was being transferred to the defective returns area for resolution. Once within defective returns, I was provided a non-negotiable buy back of the unit at an LG depreciated price which amounted 67.6% of the purchase price, an amount which approximates to straight line depreciation for the period the unit was owned. Inquiring as to options, the defective returns area noted the only options were to take their offer, or wait for repair. I additionally inquired as to when the part would be shipped to effect the repair, and could not be given a time frame. Even when feeling forced into an untenable offer, the LG defective returns representative was able to add injury to insult, stating it would be 2 to 3 weeks before I would receive the check representing the buy-back. The approach LG has taken in my instance has the appearance of purposefully failing to comply with the repair terms of their warranty in an effort to compel consumers to accept a non-negotiable defective product buy-back offer. In my instance, I conceded under the duress of needing to replace my refrigerator. I will, however never purchase another product manufactured by LG under any nameplate (Sears, please take note).

Im also having a problem with my washer! I have been trying to deal with LG, but even after talking to the supervisor with LG, they wont send the warranty part to my house. They want us to pay for labor of fixing the washer, even though on the one-page warranty, it says nothing about having to have a technician install the warranty part. I let the company know I will continue to complain about LG to all that I know including Facebook and Twitter! I paid $2500.00 for a washer and dryer. I expect to not have problems with it, and when I do, I want help to my questions and I want them to follow their warranty page they give their customers. I will never purchase a LG product again because the way I have been treated!

Today I had a refrigerator delivered based on the information given to us by THEIR own employees. They stated that there was no vendor in our city that would be able to repair a sealed system leak. We were just about to have the 4-year old LG fridge removed and the new one installed that I couldnt afford but had to buy when they told us that Sears was able to send someone out to repair it under the warranty. We had already waited a week for them to do the right thing and needed a fridge. They were unapologetic and they REFUSED to do the right thing and reimburse us for the LG fridge under the warranty was we were told would be done. So we now have an LG fridge waiting for repair after 9 days sitting next to the SAMSUNG that we had to buy as we could wait no longer for LG to come through. They make crappy products and their customer services is inept and inefficient and they dont stand behind their warranties. They want you to have a hard time using their warranties so that they dont have to stand by them. CROOKS - like Ive never seen before. DO not waste your money on their junk. Their customer service is on a level of incompetence that I have never seen before and I hope never to again. STAY AWAY - buy any brand other than LG. Its better to use an ice chest than to buy an LG product. Garbage!!!

We purchased a LG dishwasher model no. LDF8764ST ($800) four months ago and after using it ONCE, it stopped working and would not power on. I was not able to return the dishwasher where purchased and was informed that I had to deal directly with LG. I called LG and was scheduled a visit from a repairman. The repairman never showed up (took time off from work), so I again called LG. I was informed that the repairman had not received the ticket from LG. I indicated that since the product was defective (it worked once) and I was not comfortable risking taking another day off from work and having the repairman be a no-show again, that I would like the product either replaced or receive a refund. I was told that my only option was to reschedule the repairman. I declined and purchased a different dishwasher from another manufacturer that has worked like a charm since it was delivered/installed. This has been the worst product and service I have ever encountered.

My LG oven has required 2 repairs; the circuit board on warranty, and now the hidden baking element gave out one week before Christmas. I called LG and quickly connected with a representative. This was my experience: Four lengthy attempts for her to get the serial number etc... She continually reversed the numbers (Id say 486 and shed repeat 864 sort of thing). And these numbers are located in the most awkward location for a person to read!!!I explained the preheat could not reach its goal, and she tried to explain to me how important preheating was to ensure best baking results! I told her my baking skills were not the issue, it was the oven could not heat up!!! She told me to ensure the date on the front panel was correct. I told her my panel did not include the date. She had the manufacture date wrong... I decided to call a local repair service, they arrived the same day, and the repair will be done before Christmas, at half the cost, done by a reasonable capable service person. In summary, whenever I need a new oven, it will be a Samsung.

As many others have stated, if I could provide zero stars I would!!! Do not buy even if other reviews are good. Its not if its when your product will default. Weve had our LG refrigerator for less than 3 years, and bought the extended warranty. Unfortunately, its been nothing but trouble. We are currently out of a refrigerator and LG still has yet to come up with a solution or a reliable repair company. The first issue was the fan in the freezer compartment which was fixed and covered under warranty. Now its the compressor, which for anyone thats not aware does have a 5-year manufacturer warranty that we would not have known until someone told us and it wasnt LG. The company that LG contracted out came to repair (the company actually had horrible reviews online) but guess what folks our refrigerator still is not working and we are at 4 weeks. I would like to add for anyone experiencing issues to file a complaint with the BBB which I just finished. Its too soon to determine if this will help mitigate the process but its worth pursuing. We spend entirely way too much for a product that does not work.

Had microwave for around 11 months. Glass started to peel on the inside manufacture defect. Contacted LG numerous times sent pictures. Pictures of receipt and delivery receipt first they were going to send me a box and return it then they change their mind and said that before they could give me a refund because they dont repair countertop microwaves. They said first I had to buy a new LG microwave then send them pictures of the old labels cut or destroyed. Of the old microwave then they would give me refund. I proceeded to tell them that I did not want to buy another LG microwave because I thought they were crap and I should not have to buy another of their products. That didnt go over so well. All I wanted was the microwave to be repaired or replaced. I will not be forced to buy another one of their products. I already have the stove and refrigerator that had to be repaired five times in the first year. Part of a companys integrity is stand behind their product when something goes wrong and not forcing you to buy their product but instead encourage you to buy their product again by the service you received when something goes wrong. Now all I can think of is going to college for 8 years to become a lawyer to sue LG over their refund and return policies. But in reality will probably just use their piece of crap microwave for target practice to cite in my rifle.

Model number LFC23760ST. My wife and I purchased this refrigerator with French doors and bottom freezer at Best Buy at the recommendation of the sales person. It seemed to be a good refrigerator until we used the ice maker. The ice maker is designed very poorly. As the ice cubes begin to build up in the container the ice begins to fall out of the back and underneath the freezer drawer and causes the drawer to get stuck. This happens on a constant basis whenever the container gets close to being two thirds full. Another downfall of the refrigerator is the crisper shelf and Im sure that all the other glass shelves have similar problems. From what I am able to determine the shelves are made of tempered glass. This is the first time I have taken the shelf out to clean. I did not take the other shelves out to clean, just the crisper shelf as Ive always cleaned them in place. I first left the glass shelf sit for about 15 minutes while I cleaned out the inside of the refrigerator and other parts. I then began to wash the glass shelf with lukewarm soapy water, and then I rinsed it off and let it stand for about seven minutes. There was still some water on the glass so I decided to wipe it with a clean cotton hand tower. While drying the shelf the action from slowly and softly wiping the shelf of remaining water it made squeaking sound when a glass window is being wiped clean. Then all of the sudden the glass shelf exploded on the third or fourth squeak. I mean, the glass shelf literally exploded and shattered. It did not shatter in place as a person would assume. I had glass all over the sink, counter top, all the way onto the top of the range, onto the window sill and all over the floor in all directions with the glass shards being about five feet away. I even had shards hit me on my body, arms and face, but luckily none got in my eyes. As a handy man who cleans many apartment units and replaced appliances, Ive cleaned over a hundred of refrigerator glass shelves and never once had this ever happened. Guess I should have taken pictures and send it to LG. Now I have to replace it and its over $50 but Im going to call LG and see what they have to say. If you have ever seen an opera singer singing and breaking a glass, this was similar except on a larger scale.

I purchased the LG WM0642H from Home Depot on Feb. 12, 2007. We were told it was the best and most efficient energy and water saving machine. It has left the towels dirty and musty/moldy odor. The towels can only be used one time and they have to be washed again. I use all the right HE products. I quit using liquid Downy, thinking that was the cause of the build up.I use the washer cleaner that Tide makes and it does no good. All these products just cost more to operate the machine. We have the vibration in the adjoining rooms that shake the walls, during the spin cycle. We paid for an extended warranty that ended 2010, but when I had them out during that time, they couldnt find any problems. They just reprimanded me to use the HE products; although that is all I use.Truly, when is this product going to be taken off the market and the truth be told? I will certainly use the word of mouth to all that will listen. This is a blight on America to sell something this inferior. The next machine I buy will be the tried and true top loading with plenty of water and it will surely clean the clothes.

Customer service quality and procedures when something breaks needs to be o
Customer service quality and procedures when something breaks needs to be one of the most important considerations when choosing who to buy an appliance from these days, especially an expensive refrigerator that is not built to last despite claims that it is, but for a higher purchase price. It was important enough to me that I was willing to pay more upfront. $2800 more. Things break, design flaws happen. That is not as concerning to me as what a company does to their customers when it comes time to make it right, and how they make it right. Regardless if they have fixed their linear compressor problems, it is not worth buying LG refrigerators. Or any other product as far as I’m concerned, given what they are presently putting us through and how little they are compensating for our losses.I’ll be shocked if this doesn’t cost them dearly in customers and loyalty. It certainly has turned my 18 and 22 year old sons off after watching what we are going through since July. That’s future business right there that they screwed up. Not to mention my failing double oven, dryer, and dishwasher which need replacing soon. And where there is one there are hundreds or thousands more. That’s a lot of exponential word of mouth.LG is losing all that future business for what? To save a buck on repairs now by forcing customers to use their preferred 1-star rating repair servicer even if they repaired it once already and it failed? To avoid doing the right thing by reimbursing their customers for full damages and losses fully caused by their part failures as well as their repair failures? That choice alone about customer service reflects poorly on the business smarts of a company, which in turn affects reliability. If you ever have a warranty repair with your LG products, you are at risk of what is happening to us right now. Are you willing to gamble for that much money? We bought our LG French Door refrigerator Thanksgiving 2016 for $2800. Chose LG because of reputation, longevity claims about the model, and their description of great customer service should something go wrong. We thought it was worth the expense. The linear compressor failed after 3-1/2 years in July. We had to wait 2-1/2 weeks before their “authorized repair servicer” got here to repair it. We bought a larger mini fridge and still lost well over $300 of food. Their servicer did not call us to first diagnose or ascertain what parts might be needed. They simply showed up and assumed they only needed to swap out a compressor.LG bottlenecked their quality before they got here by only authorizing a maximum of $505 including labor, regardless that neither of them knew for sure what all needed to be checked and repaired. They set us up for failure. Their preferred provider didn’t even look for leaks in hoses that might have caused the compressor to fail to begin with, so if there was one it’s still there! They did not replace all the other covered parts that are supposed to be replaced with this repair, such as evaporators, hoses, etc. Two weeks after the repair we spent $450 on groceries believing it was safe to now restock. Two days later it broke again. My dealings with customer service since have been unacceptable. I have been patient and understanding about all the extremely long hold times given Covid, (1 hour and 17 minutes on hold this morning before the exec division picked up,) but not understanding about forcing their customers to have to retell all of the specifics of their circumstances dozens of times to each new agent that picks up, treating them like a first time caller, before anyone finally understands again how egregious the case has been handled thus far. And when they finally do they have no power to ensure it won’t continue to happen. Wash, rinse, repeat. There are too many cooks in the kitchen and all the departments that have to be involved are isolated and cut off from the other so the agents can never prevent anything from going wrong again or have influence over final decisions. There is no quality control in LG’s customer service. Their executive services group can’t directly talk to someone in the authorization department to ensure everyone is on the same page so they stop sabotaging what was agreed to. They have no true escalation capabilities and if they do they are highly ineffective. I believe this is purposeful when it comes to these refrigerators. The first agent this time around said our case was escalated since we just went through this. That didn’t mean squat in the end. It has been dealt with worse than the first time and has followed the same channels as a first time repair. He said dispatch would be calling me directly this time 3-4 days from our call to lessen the amount of time we were without our fridge again. That was August 22 and today 2-1/2 weeks later we are still without a working fridge. No one called. I had to start all over from the top when I called back. They tried to resend the same incompetent repair company as last month and ignored our request to send a different one that would approach it properly this time and give us confidence we wouldn’t be put through this again next month. It’s exhausting to pull everything out again, set up coolers and ice and check safety of food every day. Their preferred service provider in our area was going to be at least 2 more weeks out. LG blamed Covid saying it has impacted the availability of servicers in our area. The truth was LG directly prevented a timely and proper repair we had access to; it was not a problem with availability of servicers in our area, it was a problem of a company only wanting to use a one-star servicer that they can successfully under compensate, regardless that the repair company cuts corners and does inferior work to make it worth what LG pays.We asked LG why we couldn’t find our own repair company nearby who could get here sooner than 2 weeks. They told us if we could find someone sooner they would gladly email them the authorization, because they can’t find anyone else. All they can see is their authorized 1-star servicer. We had a 5-star service nearby standing in my kitchen the very next day! And they had done a lot of warranty work for LG before so we were delighted with having found them. They diagnosed the fridge thoroughly first, and in person, recognized that the compressor was not installed correctly and not all parts were properly replaced. Due to this we had oil leaking all over the place creating new repair problems. We called LG back and provided all the contact info they requested. They called our chosen repair co. that same day too and told both of us they would submit a request for authorization and they should have it in the next 24-48 hours. Our repair would be done in under three days. Instead, we got a text and email the next day that their 1-star servicer has accepted our repair request and would be there 12 days later. We called immediately and complained we had someone sooner and did not want the same company, and our case was escalated again. The executive group agent said she saw what happened, the wrong department got the request and ignored the notes in our account and on the request. She canceled their servicer and personally emailed the department directly with the info for the repair company we found, highlighting they were available immediately to do the repair and they have done warranty work for them before. Two days later we get another text/email that the 1-star company happily accepted our request again. I called LG again and the new exec agent listened to all that had happened prior and understood my rage, and told me they were having problems with the authorization department and she had no power to ensure it wouldn’t keep happening this way, but she did have the power to submit a request for a full refund. She had me upload a receipt and confirmed it was received and valid. She would send the request for an auth to our chosen servicer one more time and would call me two days later to see if they had received the authorization. If not she would go through with the refund request. Instead, I get several texts from LG’s chosen servicer all weekend long reminding us they were coming. However, in the past two weeks that servicer did not once call us to get information to determine what parts might be needed, which confirmed for us that if we let them into our home it was going to be handled sloppily like the first time they did the repair. We are sick of what we’ve had to go through living out of a mini fridge for almost two months. For a family of five with adult kids? We want to feel confident it’s done right this time. What LG did that was unethical was agree that if we could find someone sooner they would send an authorization, and then they repeatedly hosed that authorization and every subsequent request for one over the next two weeks to buy time until the A&E appointment was just around the corner. They ignored our valid concerns and discomfort of having this company do the repair again. It’s not like we chose a servicer that never did LG warranty work before. There is no excuse for putting us through this hell. Call several appliance repair companies in your area before you commit to buying anything. They know what brands and products are easiest to fix and have the least hassles with warranty repairs, and which are reliable. All the other repair companies we initially called said the same thing: “we no longer do LG repairs” and if you ask why they all tell you the same thing, “it’s because LG under-compensates true costs and undermines their efforts to do quality work. And it’s too much of a headache to deal with their customer service. It’s just not worth it given the amount of time we would have to put into dealing with them.”I wish I would have called them before choosing an LG fridge, because I never would have purchased it. But this is the real reason LG has a hard time finding an available service provider in your area. And when you find your own? They sabotage it. All to save a buck? How is two or three under compensated repairs in a row cheaper than one done right the first time at a fair price for the actual time required to do a proper job? It can only serve to hurt your customer for unnecessary and unreasonable lengths of time and kills all future business, and word of mouth compounds that. I was also told today there is no guarantee the refund will be approved. They look at how many times it’s been repaired in deciding too! The fact that they were interfering with the repairs, and they failed to let us have a timely and proper one that we had standing right there two weeks ago is not taken into account. If they deny our refund, they will simply reschedule their shoddy servicer all over again. At this point the right thing to do is approve a full refund. My husband is paid hourly and his company is about to be impacted by Covid so he will lose hours pay in the near future. We have to use our scant emergency fund to pay for a reliable refrigerator repair, about $1200-$1400 after the botched repair, or buy a new one. And not having that emergency money is going to hurt us when my husband’s hours are reduced. We cannot tolerate more weeks Iiving like this and never should have had to when we had a reliable repair company standing in our kitchen two weeks ago!To add insult to injury, LG has taken forever to approve our food loss and mini fridge reimbursement requests from July. Several reps quoted from our account that they saw the mini fridge reimbursement was officially approved on August 12 but there was no notes about the food loss. We were told this for the following two weeks every time we called. Then today, the rep said the notes showed it wasn’t approved until September. Somebody changed the notes. We were also told that we couldn’t have both a food loss reimbursement and a mini fridge reimbursement. They only allow one $250 reimbursement per calendar year, regardless if they caused you way more losses. We lost well over $500 of food so far plus paid $260+ for a mini fridge. We can’t even claim food loss this time around even though their repair failed and we properly waited a couple weeks after the repair to make sure it was good before shopping again. Customers can be out $750-$1,000 due to LG’s own mistakes, and only get reimbursed for $250 of it all while they go through hell with customer service. LG does not care about you as a customer or any impact they have had on you or the domino effect. Now, is all this worth buying their $2800 refrigerator? Absolutely not.

Well, this is the first and LAST LG product Ill ever have. Waveforce top loader WT-5001CW. The consumer reports at the time we purchased the washer were good, but I guess only for the time they got any ink. After only three years this thing, like all the others reviewed here, throws up the UE (uneven) trouble code, and smells like a sweaty billy goat even with routine cleaning/preventative maintenance. Our clothes also have the same odor after being washed in this contraption, especially the towels. The first recall reprogramming was done shy of a year after delivery, so we never got to see it self destruct, although now I kind of wish it had because it would have at least provided some good entertainment considering how much this pos cost!! $800 for any sort of appliance that cant make it even 3 years without repairs, and cant perform the tasks it claims to = LEMON in my book. But the worst part of it all is, the company contracted to repair it is either heavily burdened with fixing these overgrown paperweights, or horribly understaffed, because theres apparently a two-week window in between each time they can get to me to diagnose and repair, with parts having to be sent from some God-forsaken dirt stain way out somewhere! Maybe I should feel fortunate that so far we havent been duped into dumping more money into this HE pit, but I shouldnt be having to take off from work for bs like this; I still lose money if I dont go to work, right?! Im firmly starting to believe that there is nothing new thats worth owning. Maybe you should too! LG should be BOYCOTTED for their transgressions against the consumers, and manufacturing should be brought back to AMERICA!

Not even a month after we purchased the matching LG front load steam washer and dryer we started having issues. The washer started leaking water from the door when it was running. Maintenance guy came out and basically told us it was our fault. Now a year later, when we open the dryer it literally smells like we have farm animals living in the dryer. Maintenance guy comes out and once again its our fault. These machines are high maintenance and require a complete wipe down after every use. Wipe down the gaskets the doors and leave them open to air out (we have a toddler yeah thats safe) Dryer had to be semi disassembled and the amount of lint the bypasses the filter is INSANE! Why even have a filter it doesnt look like it catches anything! Them wiped down with bleach and sprayed with white vinegar. This is ridiculous and we will never go with another LG appliance ever again.

I received an LG front load washer at 12 noon today. I did the first load which spewed soapy water on the floor. I did subsequent small loads with no overflow. The dispensers retain clear water after cycle completed. I contacted LG to question why the water remains in the dispensers and why the overflow. I was informed that I used too much soap which caused the overflow. This is my second LG, and I am no dummy. I know how to fill the soap dispenser to the normal or max levels using HE products. The response from LG is We only recommend 2 tbs for a big load. I measured the amount of liquid to fill to the normal mark which is 5 tbs and to the max level which is 7 tbs.I explained this to the LG rep and the response was, We have already sent this numerous times to the designers. WHAT??? They know about the problem, continue to produce the product using the same improper guides in the manual and intuitively, the consumer follows the dispenser level marks and provide no ALERT to consumer!!! Of course, I still needed to know about the clear water remaining in the dispensers. That is normal. The dispenser dispenses by overfilling the drawer, that is shy there is water remaining at the end. Of course! We all want stagnated water to sit in the drawer possibly turning moldy and smelly to be dispensed into the next load of wash! I am absolutely incredulous! How can a manufacturer possibly continue to produce and sell such a subpar product? I was pleased with my last LG that performed well for 6 years and recently started to overflow and would not pump the water adequately out of the washer. Not wanting to put money into repairs, I foolishly elected to purchase a new and improved LG washer. What kind of fool am I?

Of course I never got a callback. This is the worst refrigerator Ive ever bought. Do not ever purchase it is junk. I have emailed and called LG and I never seem to get any sort of response from them. We purchased a French door LG refrigerator in Mar 2016. It was delivered and installed in Aug 2016. On Jun 15, 2018 the compressor went out. After an hour on the phone with LG customer service and contacting 12 different LG authorized repair people, none offered Saturday service. We finally found a local guy, willing to work on an LG refrigerator (MANY appliance repair people state on the home page of their website that they DO NOT SERVICE LG REFRIGERATORS or their outgoing VM gives this information). Within seconds of having the freezer torn apart, he confirmed that the compressor was out. We then spent the next two weeks, while on vacation, speaking with LG customer service and the repair person to TRY to get action towards a compressor replacement part before we got home. We arrived home to no compressor part and after ANOTHER call to LG customer service, found out that our claim had inexplicably been closed! WTH? I then barfed all over the LG USA Electronics Facebook page when the social media rep was able to get more information than 7 calls over two weeks with LG customer service had yielded. LG offered to pay for the part and the labor. Problem is NO LOCAL REPAIR PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO WORK WITH LG because they PAY SO LITTLE and this job will apparently take ALL DAY. So LG recommends this repair person who is an HOUR AWAY. It has now been two more weeks (yes, a whole month without a refrigerator or freezer in the heat of California summer) and STILL NO CALL that our repair is imminent. So today we call LG Customer Service again to find out the parts were delivered to the authorized LG repair person on Friday, July 13th and it is our responsibility to work it out with the repair person. To say that I am FURIOUS is an understatement. I want LG refrigerators BANNED from sale in California because of faulty manufacturing and beyond horrific customer service. LG is committing fraud. We did our research before buying this refrigerator. LG refrigerators received favorable reviews. BUT NOT SINCE WE BOUGHT OURS. LG apparently made a good product when the manufacturing was in S Korea or Mexico. Since moving their manufacturing to China, however, we are in the MAJORITY of people complaining about the shoddy piece of junk LG refrigerators now are. I want our refrigerator repaired so I can get rid of it and purchase a quality KitchenAid or Whirlpool refrigerator. WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING LG AGAIN AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE!!!

I purchased washer from Sears on 3/21/13. It is now 6/15/13 and the washer has been out of service for 8 weeks. It is always the same problem, the computer board. The first time it went out, the service person came out and said it would be 10 days to get the parts shipped. It worked for 2 days before going out again. This time, it again took 10 days to get the parts shipped. This worked for 1 day before it went out again. The service guy called and said it was another part and had it shipped another 10 days. When it got here, the service guy said it was the wrong part, so now another 10 days for the parts to ship. In between scheduling for someone to actually come out and repair the machine was always a couple more days. I called LG USA directly and was basically told nothing. Not even a Sorry for your trouble. Their response was that there was nothing that they could do. Apparently, once you buy an LG product, you are on your own. They already have your money so they dont care about anything else. If you see an LG appliance, run away, run far, run fast. Just stay as far away from it as possible. Buy a Samsung or any other brand but stay away from LG.

I purchased this range in April, 2017 when the contractor that was installing flooring damaged my Whirlpool range that I had and dearly loved. In speaking to the salesperson she spoke very highly of LG products and talked me into purchasing a model with the convection oven (LRE3061BD). In August, 2017 the fan in the oven started making a screeching noise. Since then the fan has quit completely. I called LG and they sent a new fan, motor and electric board. I have had 5 different appts for the repair company to come out and fix the oven; however, no one has ever shown up. Each time when I call customer service I get the same answer, We will have to locate a service company and they will give you a call in 48 to 72 hours to set up an appt to repair. I have taken off work 2 of these 5 times and no one showed up. When I called the service company they stated that LG told them I had cancelled the appointment. I will never purchase another LG product because they dont stand behind the product and their customer service is horrible. I work in a very culturally diversified company and I can understand dialect and accents very well; however, it is very difficult to understand the customer service representatives and they are very rude. They will not listen and talk over you. I have spoke to a Jeannie, Rodney and Donald and all of them have the same answer... I will have a service rep call you within 48 to 72 hours. Im just hoping that my annual Thanksgiving dinner for my 16 guests turns out decent, if not it may be Pizza Hut!!!

French doors, freezer drawers (that come off track). Water lines froze constantly and now compressor has broken numerous times. Ive lost about $1,000 in products to no refrigeration/freezer. I have an LG refrigerator with model # LRSC26923SW that is about 5 years old. The so-called purified water line dispenses water that tastes strongly of mold. It is undrinkable and it assumed a health hazard. The filters have been changed on a regular basis and the water line has been used daily until the taste problem occurred.I have tried changing filters and flushing the line but to no avail. LG referred me to an authorized repair service, and I was told that it was a poorly designed system, and I would need to replace the entire door at a huge expense that is not covered by the warranty. In addition to the ice maker going out after 1 year and having to be replaced, I also had major problems with my LG washing machine. I will never buy one of their appliances again.

Has been a good product overall. Some of the plastic parts have broken - cheaply made - but otherwise reliable. Has held up well over the last several years but at around 10 years starting to show some wear on the drum suspension from what I can tell. Guess most washers are only made to last at most 10 years. Then when a repairman came to see why it was shaking more than usual would probably be more prudent to buy a new washer than have the old one fixed.

I call LG Appliance because my dryer would not stop tumbling when I opened the door, my dryer is under 2 years old. I knew what was wrong with the dryer but I wasnt sure who I should call to repair, so I called the mfg, LG Appliance. They told me they would dispatch a repairman and the fee for service was $125. The repairman showed up, replaced the $16 part and then billed me additional labor of $65.00. I called LG to ask why I paid their fee and a service fee and they continued to say that the fee was dispatch, until I asked exactly what dispatch meant - setting up the appointment. Well, I could have done that myself. The customer service rep at LG was pretty cagey in his setting up this appointment, never clarifying that I would pay all the labor fee. My understanding was the service visit would be free.

I bought an LG W2101HW and a matching dyer in February 2010. First, the washer ran great with no problems, and then July 2012, error code comes up for heating element. Warranty is out. I find that only two repair companies will even touch them - out of fifty or more repair places. Here comes the great part - it needs diagnosis to determine the cause of the problem that the machine tells you with the code. They wont to charge you, but then if it is stacked, you have to help them unstack it. Great when you’re disabled then find out you dont need to after all! So you call them and they tell you it will take a week to ten days. He comes out and reads the same code. That will be $79.00. When we fix it, it will be fifty more plus part, which is fifty dollars. We have to order the part and that will take five days. They come back more than week later. We got the wrong part and needed to order new one. A week goes by and no one calls. I give them another four days and no one calls (forgot about you). They will come the next week. They only go by zip code, so it’s always a Thursday. Repairman brings part and installs part (no unstacking), I pay the money, and everything is fine. Two weeks later, it’s the same thing again. I called repair and no one ever called back. More than a month later, still no call. I bought a new washer and dryer (GE). I will never ever have an LG. Nothing, the company does nothing for you when called, only a stupid email, so sorry. What a joke. Never buy LG washer or dyer; you will be sorry. I paid over $1,600 for both.

Firstly, the first refrigerator that I received in September, 2018 did not work at all. The Brick replaced it with the floor model until they could order me a new one. Initially, the whole scenario was a nightmare for me. It is all good now except for the fact that the stainless steel is always streaky, no matter what I use or do. It is very frustrating. I have tried almost everything, including the wipes, vinegar & water and just water and cloths. If anyone has any ideas, help! I am thinking it may be a poor grade of stainless steel. I am disappointed with the finish on the stainless steel.

Purchased in late 2011 as part of a range, fridge, microwave, dishwasher package deal from appliance warehouse. This is the third time Ive had to call for service and pay $60 charge each time on my homeowners warranty policy. The usual problem is burners that dont turn on and in the past, only a few would go out at a time, leaving me a workable burner or two. This time all are out and now the broiler is also down -- only the oven is working now. One service tech said the cables inside the panel were loose. How that happened, I don’t know because the range doesnt get jostled or moved around a lot. Another complaint within the first six months of purchase is an inside drip between the oven door double paned glass but Ive lived with ugly mess because the service tech couldnt fix it without taking the entire range to the shop for a week. But wait -- theres more LG product problems! The side-by-side door fridge problems have also cost me three service calls ($60 each). The icemaker frequently goes on strike for several months at a time and then on its own starts working again. Of course, this renders the ice dispenser constipated and totally useless. The cold water dispenser has the opposite problem and is often incontinent it keeps spewing water for several seconds after the drinking glass is removed.I believe LG must stand for Least Good and the range model number LRE30453ST must stand for Least Reliable Electric ** Stoves Terrible. I will never again purchase another LG appliance and recommend that other buyers also shop for another brand.

Just recently, my washer had a smell like something was on fire and making a banging noise. I called the LG repair service and a rep came out to take a look. I purchased an LG refrigerator 2 years ago. I listened to the guy at Home Depot and took his recommendation. Two weeks ago my refrigerator stopped cooling. A few days later an LG certified repair guy showed up and right away said he had to order a part in order to complete the repair. One week after the refrigerator stopped working the LG repairman serviced the unit unsuccessfully and LG executive department was unwilling to give any sort of credit for the labor portion of the bill. 10 days after the refrigerator stopped working the same LG repairman came to service the fridge again. This time it started to get a little cooler, approx 52-degree, but never got lower than that. Yesterday, over two weeks into the refrigerator not working the repairman did a third service on the refrigerator. Today I woke up to a 70-degree temperature inside my refrigerator.I contacted LG in hopes they would give me some sort of helpful resolution to this issue. The first guy I spoke with said after 3 unsuccessful repairs I might be eligible for compensation toward a new refrigerator. After 1 hour on the phone he transferred me to the executive department and the guy on the other end said no to a replacement, but that hed schedule another service...NEXT WEEK. Three weeks without a working refrigerator, three unsuccessful service calls, hundreds of dollars spend on labor, hundreds of dollars spend on food that went bad, hundreds of dollars spent on meals out (that would have normally been lower cost meals made at home), and very rude executive department. Needless to say, I will NEVER purchase an LG product again. Not just because of the product, but because their customer service STINKS! They have zero accountability and once you hit the executive department they are trained to say NO and treat you like garbage. If you try and ask for someone more senior they tell you to write a letter to a PO box in Huntsville Alabama. In this day and age where groceries can be delivered in an hour, parts can be shipped overnight, there is no reason someone should go without a working essential item like a refrigerator.

LG front load washer (WM0642HW) - The washer vibrates horribly when in the spin cycles! Our whole house shakes! You can hear the vibration outside the home! The floor vibrates when washer is in spin cycle! We have bought several different kinds/brands of shock-absorbers and installed them under each leg of the washer. Still no help! This is obviously a manufacturing defect. We called LG and they sent a certified LG appliance repair man to our home. All he would tell us was: LG makes a great product and use less than half the recommended amount of detergent to control the ‘smell’.” This is my second contact to you. We had an LG refrigerator and over-stove microwave. Little things broke, bits of plastic, brackets etc., large annoyance factor. Also freezer at highest setting but does not get lower than 20 degrees (should be zero). Panel above door of microwave broke loose, could not be reset, had to hold it in place with tape. The brackets that hold up drawers for fruit & vegetables broke, we got a replacement, it broke again. This was all in the first year. The things just feel cheap and unreliable. We junked the microwave a year ago. Today, last straw for the fridge. The auto ice maker, over several weeks, was working, then stopped, then started again, then stopped, then started once more -- then went crazy! It would not stop pouring water into the ice tray. Had to cut off water supply. If we hadnt been home at the time and noticed, it would have flooded our kitchen. I have had it. Good Riddance LG!

My LG refrigerator has failed for the 4th time in less than 4 years; 2 compressors and 2 evaporators. I paid $2,999 for the refrigerator from Sears. On August 21st my refrigerator failed and I called to schedule service. The agent on the phone asked me a few questions and confirmed that it was a sealed system issue. The next available service was Sept 5. I live in a large city so it should not be this difficult to get service. The next day I spoke to the local LG servicer. After I explained that the sealed system has failed 3 other times they told me they could not service the refrigerator since they did not do the prior work. They went on to say that it was LGs policy to replace a refrigerator on the 4th sealed system issue. On Aug 22, I finally I spoke to someone in LG Consumer Relations and was told that my refrigerator qualifies for a buy back. The last sealed system issue was less than a year ago and I could request a buy back. I was told It would take 3-4 days for the final dollar amount to be determined and another 4 weeks to receive a check. As requested I sent in my Proof of Purchase using the web link emailed to me. On Aug 24th I called LG service for an update and was told I had not sent my Proof of Purchase, I sent it a second time and verified that it was received. Again I was told 3-4 days to receive the final offer details. I called today, Aug 30th, and was transferred 4 times. I am now told that someone had not followed through on the case and it would be another 3-4 working days before a decision would be made. What recourse do I have?

We purchased an LG washer and dryer set. The dryer works well, but the washer is a disaster. Our towels have an unpleasant musty smell just 1 day after they are washed. The rubber sleeve between the front panel and the drum is literally designed to trap moisture and grow mold. What a horrible design! We miss our old top loader Amana. That washer worked wonders on spots and dirtier clothes like playground pants with grass on the knees. Our front loader LG, on the other hand, is a piece of cr@p. We are waiting for this thing to develop any problem so we can replace it with a Bosch. Dryers works well. Washer doesnt get the clothes clean. It uses less water than our old washer but what good are water savings when the clothes dont get clean? We will check Amazon customer reviews to see which models to AVOID like the plague. Before buying this LG washer we were focused on efficiency but with LG efficiency came at the cost of less than clean clothes and smelly towels. Reliability is important but effectiveness is a very close second. A reliable, highly efficient washer is junk if it doesnt get the job done. To reiterate, stay away from LG clothes washers. The design of the drum, pump, and the drum seal is defective. It traps moisture and promotes mold growth. Also, the pump/filter assembly on these washers holds about 12 OZ of water at all times. We forgot to drain the filter assembly before going on a 3-week vacation. When we came back, the whole downstairs of the house smelled like sewer. The stench was coming from our wonderful LG washing machine. I had to flush it with 2 gallons of bleach! Stay away from LG washers! They are toxic!

Based on this experience, I have significant concerns about the quality and durability of my new laundry equipment to the extent that I requested LG provide a warranty extension. This request was refused by LG. I will never buy an LG product again and will be sure to spread the word to friends and family that this is a brand to be avoided.

OMG, where do I start? The machine has been nothing but problems. It was quiet for 1 day, then the noise and vibrations coming from the machine sounded like a squealing pig. Technicians have been sent out. He practically rebuilt the washing machine, replaced the motor, the stator, clutch, pretty much everything, now worse than ever! Please dont buy an LG appliance and do yourself a favor!! Whats so ironic is the fact its advertised as True Balance anti-vibration system. Somebody at LG advertising must have thought this term on April Fools Day!!!! I literally HATE this machine.

I purchased an LG front loader in the last quarter of 2012. In late 2013, the door gasket started leaking. I called several local repair shops who stated they would not work on them because LG did not stand behind their appliance replacement parts. I ordered the gasket and replaced it myself. Now in June of 2015, the door gasket is leaking again in the exact same spot. This is a poor design and I will never buy an LG product again.

Worst customer service ever! Weve been without a refrigerator 2 1/2 weeks and made 10+calls to LG to get numbers for authorized repair places only to be told theyre too far away or dont even work on LG- how can a company who manufactures a product not be able to find you a place to do a repair for their crappy product??? Today we finally got a call from someone authorized and willing to do repair and LG is now giving us a hard time ordering the parts (compressor) that we were told numerous times are under warranty. Not so much the disappointment in the product (2 yr old refrigerator) as much as the horrible cs to make me never buy that brand again.

We purchased an LG refrigerator model #LFXS30766S from Lowes for around $2400.00 a little over three years ago. Recently that refrigerator just died and we lost all of our food and had a water mess to clean up. We contacted Lowes and of course the extended warranty expired just a few months prior and they could do nothing for us short of selling us a new refrigerator. We contacted LG and they agreed that it was probably a bad compressor which they warranty for ten years. They sent a new compressor and associated parts directly to our house and contacted a local appliance repair company to come and do the repairs. Thats when the nightmare really began. The repair company scheduled us 8 days out and when the repairman showed up he said he couldnt fix it then because it was a three hour job and he needed more parts. We were rescheduled for another 11 days out. The day before that appointment it was canceled for unknown reasons. The next scheduled appointment was a week away. This time a different repairman showed up and he had no idea that someone had already been there previous and that the compressor and parts were at the house. He left to go get refrigerant and we never heard from him again. That was day 26 without a refrigerator. I finally just contacted a recommended local appliance repairman and he came and replaced the compressor the next day. What a nightmare! Well never buy another LG appliance EVER, and will warn everyone we know to avoid them also.

Never... Ever... Never will I buy another LG washing machine it is terrible. It constantly gives a UE message even though the machine is level and we have done all the tricks that others have suggested. My water bill is high because the machine continues to fill and spin... fill and spin. You cant leave the house when washing clothes because you need to babysit the washing machine. It is the worst machine ever. I will never buy another LG product because of it. We will have owned it 2 years this coming June. It was been completely replaced once. Computer board replaced once, and worked on three additional times. NOT ACCEPTABLE. DO NOT BUY LG.

Bought a LG dishwasher from Pacific store inside of Best Buy store in Tampa
Bought a LG dishwasher from Pacific store inside of Best Buy store in Tampa, Florida last Nov 28, 2014. Even after reading the reviews, stating that the machine left a stranger smell, didnt clean well... I was not totally convinced. :-( BIG MISTAKE!!! REVIEWS - BELIEVE THEM - Yes, the machine is not good AT ALL. The machine is not used too much, but after few month... the smell that was coming from it was incredible disgusting!!! It looks like something had died inside (let me make clear, I do rinse all dishes before I put them inside of the dish washer). Glasses started getting to be white. Plates I could feel there were something being left on them, they do not dry completely. After few months I got 2 guests in my home and the machine got to be used every day... OMG - then I really could see the damage - I finally decided to call for service after 10 month.CUSTOMER SERVICE - part 2. When I called the LG, they said they could only find me by my phone number, but they did not found me. I called the store I bought it from - Pacific inside Best Buy, they said ONLY by phone number, I gave them, but they would not find me over the phone. So I walked to the store with my phone bill on my hand. THEN THEY FOUND ME.All this took me another month to deal with. Now I am on the 11 month of my warranty, my time is running out (which Best Buy can find you by whatever info you give them)... Best Buy manager step in, apologize and ask the manager of Pacific to make an appointment for service call for me. Yes, they did, but today I was waiting from 8 a.m to 12 pm and nobody show up. I called the company, and they said, they dont service my area. So I said, What? So, after me spending all morning waiting, and not going to work, you dont come? They said they had called LG, and told them they dont service this area, and LG should had given my schedule to another company.I called LG again... LG said I apologize... someone else can go to your home on Wed. I said, I cant not go to work on Wed. They said, Well, Advance Tech Service, did not tell us that they did not service your area. We cannot do anything. So I said, Well, again, its me, the consumer who gets in the middle of Best Buy, Pacific, LG, and Advance Tech Service... No one wants to take responsibility for the mistake, for my pay day that I didnt make. The LG manager hang up on my face. Its rude, cruel and not right. The only thing I want is a machine that work properly and well, and someone responsible the mistake. LG and customer service - VERY BAD - DO not buy from them or from Pacific.Updated on 11/12/2015: OMG - the LG service man came to my home yesterday. After showing him my machine, how dirty my dishes were, stainless steel full of white soap, cups of coffee with all the coffee inside, I told about the terrible smell that would come out between washes, showed my cabinet that had some type of damaged on the side due to moisture... He couldnt find anything wrong with it. He said the only problem was You have to turn your faucet to hot water to a 120 degrees before turning the dish washer on. This is the problem with your machine... He even suggested that I would install a heater under my sink!?! I have lived in this house for 16 years, and I have had only one dishwasher before, which basically broke after enough use, and always worked perfect. What is he talking about?!?! Please help!!! Its under warranty and do not want to fix it.

Words can not describe the joy I have when I use and even more appropriately when I clean up after my husband cooks. I never liked or would even consider electric cooking before, but this is an absolute dream. A pot boils over? No problem. Use a rag and wipe it up even when the pot is still cooking, it lowers the heat the minute you turn down the temperature and if you pick up the pan and walk away, the burner shuts itself off. I have considered an electric oven before but with the convection and induction features, I feel like I have died and gone to the great kitchen in the sky. I know that sounds a little extreme but after dealing with a messy stove top & an oven that I have to get down on my hands & knees to clean, this is really a God-send.I also got a great deal on my appliance from eBay. Even had a manufactures warranty. LG has been our go to brand for T.V.s, fridge and now my kitchen. The only draw back is trying to find pans that dont cost a fortune and are of good quality, also someone that can tell me why my cast iron griddle cracked in half when I tried to heat it up to cook a steak. Not a major problem. Just would like some answers.

I cannot wait to buy a new dishwasher. This LG inverter direct drive DOES NOT dry dishes, glasses, utensils, nothing really. Water is often left standing on the top of dishes and glasses. The smell coming from the dishwasher is something Ive been working hard to get rid of to no avail. Bleach, vinegar, you name it, doesnt fix it. As of lately, my dishes are not coming out clean either. I always rinse my dishes/utensils before placing them in the dishwasher. I actually questioned myself if I even ran the dishwasher because of how dirty they came out-and it did run! At this point, Id rather just hand wash my dishes to know they are actually clean and dont come out smelling terrible. The only plus to this dishwasher, is that it is quiet. Id take a louder dishwasher that actually does its job over this quiet one!

I had a Samsung refrigerator and it last two years. I went through hell with Samsung because it was still under warranty and it took me three months to get that resolved. Then I bought this LG refrigerator and the compressor failed in it. But I called LG and it was handled the best way it could’ve been handled. I was very impressed. And service tech came out and fixed it. He was very professional and very good. He put a new compressor in it and the difference is night and day. The refrigerator has been running great since then and they got a loyal LG customer now because of the way they handled the whole situation. They backed the product, so I don’t have a problem and I’ll buy another one. My wife even told me that I had to talk to somebody and tell them how the experience was and how well it was handled.

When I shopped at Lowe’s for appliances, I heard about LG Refrigerators and I ended up selecting it. I’m not really happy with it. It wasn’t cooling and I lost all my food in the freezer. The technician came out and said that he fixed it but then, it got even worse. It went through a lot of repairs and a whole lot of different parts had to be ordered and replaced on it. There was a lot of technicians coming out here to fix it and delays with getting parts. So, it has not been a good experience for me. I’ve been talking to LG as well as the technician too. They had a contractor come out and he had to make two visits to get it repaired. Right now, it’s working, but I don’t know for how long. I haven’t even had it three years and this happened. I don’t think I’ll buy another LG refrigerator.

So disappointed. I always wanted a modern fancy washer and dryer with the round windows. I thought this was something really special. I just bought a new home and decided to treat myself to the new LG washer, dryer, and mini washer. Model #s PRODUCT # WM3670HRA, PRODUCT # DLEX3370W, PRODUCT # WD100CV. Day One, I washed my first load. Put my clean sheets on my bed. While in bed noticed a rough patch like DRIED SOAP. Hmmm. So I washed it again the next day and this time watched through the ROUND WINDOW. Noticed there was NO WATER to speak of, just a little dirty puddle, not enough to wash one foot. And then the rinse cycle, if you can call it that, same dirty puddle not enough to rinse a foot. Call LG customer service. All my fault. Oh our washers are state of the art, scientifically superior to wash clothes with very little water. And the King has no clothes. Finally checked out REAL reviews and heard the same story I experienced OVER AND OVER AND OVER. So DAY NINE, after washing several loads, water left in washer and mini washer, 1 hour 15 minute to wash a load I WENT BACK TO HOME DEPOT AND RETURNED ALL OF IT. Purchased a real washing machine GE. Thanks but no thanks. Youve been warned. Purchase at your own risk!

Because the defrost heater went out after the 1 yr warranty, I had to pay to have the defrost heater replaced which cost me $400. It has been a little over a year and its freezing up all up under the crispers and deli tray again. Ice everywhere. LG does not back their products. I guess I can expect to pay $400 every year to have this part replaced. I wont ever buy an LG product again.

Purchased an LG refrigerator six years ago and it lasted 18 months before the LG repairman said it was pure crap and that the Koreans were laughing their ** off at us. Purchased an LG oven at the same time and was just informed the repair will cost more than a new one. We actually fought a war for these lousy pieces of **. They now play us for a bunch of damn fools. What a waste. Will never buy anything made in Korea again.

We purchased a LG washing machine from Lowe’s on May 31, 2014. About the second time we used it the clothes were slopping wet but some of the clothes had dry spots on them (both using detergent and fabric softener and without using any as weve had to wash each load 3 times or more to get the washer through a cycle). Lowe’s was nice enough to replace that washing machine with another one just like it. Lowe’s delivered and set up the new LG washing machine within a few days. The very first time we used the new LG washer it was the same problem. Also we got an E6 - clutch error message to unplug and call repairman. Lowe’s had a repairman out but they cant find anything wrong. Calling LG and was informed some needed a new control board (why?? these are brand new machines and why are they selling the machines knowing certain serial numbers have problems)?? We dont have any children at home nor do we do heavy loads nor do we have real dirty greasy clothes. Lowe’s pretty much said weve had this newest machine 8 days and they cant do anything (had it 3 days before using it). LG advised we have to have 3 different service techs out. The first tech said he would check on the parts and call us back but that was 3 days ago and we havent heard from him. We called today and was advised they dont know if the parts were ordered or not as the secretary is out until Monday. Believe me we are slamming LG and are not happy with them at all. Service tech also advised us since its LG it will take longer to get the parts in and this repair might or might not work. Its like let’s try this and let’s try that and maybe something will help. But having two brand new LG washing machines within two weeks and they are both doing the same thing... LG has a problem and looks like its not getting fixed! We are very unhappy and wished we didnt purchased LG - the reviews are totally wrong!

Bought model # LMX25964 refrigerator in August 2011. As of May 11, 2015, this appliance just stopped working. Since very few appliance repair businesses are allowed to work on LG appliances, we called LG customer service. Here are directions we were given: Unplug the fridge. Wait awhile. Plug it back in. Open and close the two freezer doors three times. Now, wait 24 hours before opening the freezer again. (am guessing this is when the Voodoo Doctor will visit). We are in that 24 hour wait as I type. Will NEVER buy another LG product again.

Went to Lowes where I bought my LG refrigerator to buy a replacement filter and they said everybody was out of the water filter I needed. Sick of this, they told me the same story last year. They ended up giving me one of their filters from a demo on their floor after I insisted they do so. Im telling everybody NOT to buy LG cause of this problem. Model No. LFX31925ST/06 is the LG Refrigerator I have. This really sucks. If I had know this fact about LG not being able to replace filters for their refrigerator in a timely manner I would have never bought one. Like I said, Im spreading the news that LG cant replace your water filters.
