We purchased a LG 25 cu ft refrigerator on 11-21-13. Not a small expense, $1400.00, on sale, too. Model LFC25776ST. It lasted less than 2 years. We called the company, and got NO more than an answering machine, leave your message, and well call you back. NOTHING happened. There was NO response from the company. I will NEVER do business with LG again, and am still angry at the lack of concern or even response from the company. LG has shown exactly NO corporate responsibility.

My Kenmore fridge (made by LG) just went bad. Its less than 7 years old. Needs new compressor and then seal would never be right, as told by repair person. So Im off buying another fridge. Wont be buying LG. I would join a class action lawsuit if someone starts one.

Within 2 years of purchasing our top-load (no center agitator) washer/dryer set, the metal around the bleach dispenser in the washer began to rust. We lifted the top of the washer and the entire bottom was rusted. It looks as if the underside of the washer top was not sealed properly from water damage. We found many other similar complaints online and contacted LG, only to be told that the rust is cosmetic. Soon our bleach dispenser will be unusable. During a normal cycle, water runs through the bleach dispenser, so even if I stop using it for bleach, the rusty water will still enter the washer drum. There is no reality in which rust running into the washer should be considered cosmetic.

This washing machine will not get anything clean. Had it about 2-3 years - what a piece of junk. I have never seen a washing machine in my 68 years of life that would not get something clean. This is a top loader, direct drive, true Balance. I totally believe this machine should fall under the Lemon law.

Updated on 09/18/2019: Update to my prior post of July 2019. It is now September 18, 2019 and my refrigerator is still not fixed. The most recent cooling issue started in June 2019 and it is still not fixed by LG. I call every week and every week Im told that they are sending my issue to the Escalation Dept who will call me in 2-3 business days. No one ever calls back. Finally someone acted like they were going to replace it. After I uploaded receipt provided by Lowes. The new person who answered the phone said no replacement until a service person says it cannot be repaired. So, I said I dont care whether you replace it or fix it, I just need it to work because it is now 50+ degrees inside the refrigerator. Of course, this new person is referring my case to the Escalation Dept and Ill be calling again next week to try to get my refrigerator fixed. I doubt it will ever be fixed but Ill call every week until someone shows up to try to fix it... DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR!!!Original Review: NEVER BUY ANY LG APPLIANCE! The LG refrigerator I bought (which cost over $3,000.00) had an error message about cooling by the fan within 24 hours of the refrigerator being delivered. It took about 6 months and at least 4 visits from a repairman (after many, many phone calls to try to get a repairmen sent) before the issue was fixed. Then, 4 months later, I have the same error message with the same fan issue. It has now been over a month since the issue started again and it is still not fixed. I could write 10 pages about the horrible customer service at LG and the slow and horrible service companies they LG has assigned to fix the issue. I will certainly never buy another LG appliance and I recommend that no one else ever buy an LG appliance. Any manufacturer has got to have a better product and a better customer service function and better service companies that they engage to act on their behalf.

I started noticing small holes in my clothes, which baffled me. I’m worried that maybe we had moths, so I took out all of my clothes, emptied the closets, re-washed, and dried them. Now, all of my clothes had holes in it. I did some research online to discover that cracked drums in LG are fairly common :( I looked inside my dryer, and lo and behold, there was in fact a crack, and the crack was what was ripping all my clothes. LG was bought at Home Depot. I had to wait over a week to get someone in to fix it. All my clothes are ruined. I will never buy LG again. Also, the washer gets stuck on 9 minutes any time you wash towels, and it routinely overflows with soap even if I use HE detergent and fill it to well below the normal level indicated in the soap receptacle.

This dishwasher was bought April 2013 and since we got it, it has smelled. First like something burning then like garage and it still continues to this day. Service men tried to tell us that it was just new, then to use vinegar and open the door when finishing a load. It still smells and we are so sorry we bought the three LG products. Fridge, washer and dishwasher. On the cup I rubbed my thumb and you can see how easy the stain comes off. The bowl needed a little more effort, but it cant clean fresh chocolate pudding from a dish. The washer has a gap where it makes the cloths move that is too big and coins get caught and rips the cloths.

I have bought this LG Intello 6.5 Kg washing machine (Product T7066MN) in 2009 for Rs 12,000, and it is just out of warranty, and it has stopped working. I reported this to customer care on 1/9/2012, and the engineer reported a major repair worth Rs 4,000. My concern is the machine is just out of warranty and has such major parts under repair. Is this the quality of LG products? My previous machines I bought had minimum life before coming to repair (6 years). What is the guarantee that if I spend Rs 4,000 now, which is 1/3 the original cost, it will solve all of the problems? I would not recommend LG products to anyone. They just have good looks and no quality.

Updated 09/04/2020: Every single review here on this website, there is a response from LG promising to look into the problem, its been two weeks since I sent them my information that they asked for and have heard nothing. Since then Ive had my electric range repaired. On my credit card statement they charged me $135 just for the diagnostic and $150.50 for the replacement of a Rotary Switch. It took the repair technician 45 minutes to take my stove apart and test each component. He couldnt determine what was wrong with the stove at this point. Then he went to the visitor parking lot where his truck was parked and brought in the box of parts, why didnt he bring them in when he came in, (the clock is ticking at $65 for 15 minutes)? He opened the box and took out a rotary switch, thats the plug on the knob that turns your stove on and off. He replaced it and that was what the problem was, problem solved. The time that it took him replacing the very first part that he tested without taking the range apart was like two minutes. He should have done that to begin with. Summary: it took the Technician 50 minutes to take the whole stove apart and test everything without a diagnosis and less than 5 minutes to replace the first part that he tested without having to take the whole stove apart. I was charged an additional $150.50 for that on top of the $135 for the diagnostic fee. I disputed this charge with a supervisor after calling them and havent heard anything since 8/27/20 for their review of my complaint.Original review: I purchased the $1,100 electric range 2 years ago. I use it three, four times a month maximum and already after 2 years the front right burner doesnt work. I called customer service to inquire about it and they informed me the warranty had expired after a year. I said I was very disappointed after having a stove for only 2 years that already I need to have a burner replaced. I was told that the supervisor could review the matter and that I would hear back 3 to 5 days. I heard back after about eight days with a denial and that I have to pay for the repair. Im stunned that I paid $1,100 for the stove and already and it needs to be repaired???

I dont trust any of the side loaders due to the possibility of water leaking around the door seal. Price was discounted for a holiday, from Lowes. Lowes installation bothered me a lot. This washer and dryer replaced Kenmores that were 25 years old, and still running. Quality means a lot to me. I expect these LGs to last at least as long as my 25 year old Kenmores since engineering and technology MUST have improved in the last 25 years. After a year, I am very happy with the LGs. Occasionally, the washer cant balance the load and I have to redistribute the washer contents. Note that the basin spins at over 1000 rpm, so a balanced load is critical. Thats okay. I thought the vast number of washing options were way too many, so too the dryer. But I guess some owners will use options that I dont. The clothes load size is really big. You will need very long arms to reach the bottom of the washer to pull out all the items.

Bought LG refrigerator LFXS28968S/00 in Dec. On Thurs May 24, error code dH F (not in manual) and stopped working. LG said to unplug for a few minutes to fix it. Wrong! Lost fridge full of food for family of 4. Called LG back, they said earliest they could send a repair person was following Wed morning, a week after fridge stopped working. I took day off work, but he showed up at 5:30 pm, worked for 2 hours, said it was fixed. Told me to put a brick behind fridge so it wouldnt sit too close to wall. Done. Bought new fridge full of food. By next morning, error code back, fridge not working. Called LG repeatedly, no help. Finally reached the repair person who said he had ordered a part. That was over a week ago. Left him subsequent voicemails, no response. Have called LG repeatedly, finally demanding new fridge. They said no even though its under warranty and no new repair or repair date after 2-1/2 weeks with no fridge and much $ lost in two loads of spoiled food. Im a busy working single mom now having to feed family on restaurant food or shop daily for just enough to cook for a meal without wasting the rest with no refrigeration. Terrible product, terrible service.

We bought a brand new LG double after all my family told me how well they are. FYI parents and sister have only had theirs for a couple years so they are just lucky so far. Good thing I bought the warranty from the store however after spending 1600 dollars I cant believe it is malfunctioning. Currently top oven will not hold temperature when you pre set it to a certain degree. At 400 it warms up but as soon as the little tune goes off the oven shuts itself down and completely cools off. The lower oven has the exact opposite issue and heated up to a very dangerous 550 degrees via my thermometer when I pre set it to three hundred and fifty degrees to bake cookies. I had to unplug the oven as I could not get the temperature to stop rising. I have children and currently puppies in the house. I could have had a very bad accident. I cannot believe that LG would sell these faulty products that are downright DANGEROUS. I am currently waiting 2 weeks for a certified repairman unable to plug it in and cook for my family as I am scared the oven below me will explode or worse. After reading the reviews I am not very hopeful for the future of the range as it seems that even if I do get it repaired I will have issues... I should have realized this after my new dryer fried out after 6 months but I let it go thinking it was just a one off factory defect. The dryer and washer both LG are currently working but it seems we are going to throw away 4500 dollars total between all 3 and warranty plans and I guess we will start saving up for Whirlpool appliances. Please if anyone out there is reading this considering an LG... DONT make the same mistake I did! The old adage of you get what you pay for does not hold with LG appliances... you can save money and get better!

Updated on 07/25/2019: I thought I would be coming back here to change my rating. An LG rep contacted me in private conversation on this site after I posted my original review. He promised in writing (sent the transcript to LGs repair website) to fix the problem with no charge. I spent hours of submitting the required pictures, information, and the transcript of the conversation. The rep who spoke with me and reviewed the conversation said that since I was promised a courtesy repair and since I submitted the proof, that an LG rep would be contacting me by phone within the next two days. Instead, I just received an email in my junk mail that THEY COULD NOT APPROVE THE REPAIR. So, my original review stands at one star. It should be lower because they did not follow through on their promise. On my original review, it states Resolution in Progress. SADLY, THEY HAVE NO INTENTION ON RESOLVING THIS. It would have been better for them to turn me down OR NOT OFFER in the first place than promise the courtesy repair and renege. I DIDNT ASK THEM TO FIX IT, I was just writing a review on their product. They offered to fix it. Never again will I buy and LG product. And I will discourage all my friends and acquaintances against it. Dont buy anything LG--there are so many other better brands out there with real customer service!Original review: We purchased an LG refrigerator and almost immediately the covering on the control panel started peeling. Its my fault that I didnt take care of it right away, but it was only cosmetic. At the time, we were in the middle of a military move and had many other things that needed attention. The fridge is only 6 years old, but now the peeling has almost reached the fonts that tell you what your choices are. As it peels, it turns black underneath so once it reaches the wording, we wont be able to read the available choices. The customer service rep says it will be $125.00 to send someone out and they do not sell the required part to customers. Only a technician can bring the part. Cheap product- wont buy again.

I think the LG refrigerator, and the brand is high quality, readily available and also presented value. I think the brand is close to whats considered as luxury at a price that doesnt represent luxury. I think its a great, everyday appliance for families and single people such as myself. Stays up to date. Id personally leave what I had as is. If Im the brand Id stay that way as well. If they want to be with Meile and Viking, maybe up the luxury and modernize the look ever so sightless and charge a higher price. For me, the brand is pretty much ideal. I chose LG because I thought it was a good choice to be in the middle of tiers that include Frigidaire and some and the top which includes Viking and a few. I think the brand presents excellent value, overall.

LG french door refrigerator - Less than two years old. Called LG. Not making ice and defrosting. They send out Best Servicers of America. Repair time slot 12-2 pm. Tech showed at 5:30 after reporting that nobody showed. Tech claims bad compressor. This is obviously a scam they tell everyone, he never checked anything but made that assessment. He orders a new compressor. Three weeks no refrigerator. I can clearly hear and feel the compressor running using a Freon leak detector. I have found the problem. It has a gas leak. DLG2302R - We purchased an LG washer and dryer about 4 years ago. After 6 months, the dryer button would not work (to start the dryer). It was still under warranty and a technician came out. He wasnt sure what was wrong, but he tried replacing a part he thought might be the problem. It worked for a while longer after that, then it would turn on sometimes but not other times. We called again. Now it was out of warranty, and we could not afford to replace the front panel to fix it (we already spent $2,000 to purchase the pair). Then the dial quit working (still doesnt work). As a result, we have had to manually program the time/heat setting with other buttons on the panel. We never know if the dryer will work when we need something to be dried. Like today 4 years later.

I bought my kitchen appliances less than 3 years ago, all LG brand, brand new from Home Depot. My dishwasher has given us some issues over the last year and come to find out the electronics are not covered under the 10 year warranty that is plastered on front of the appliance. No big deal, my husband was able to fix it. However, our refrigerator is a different story. It stopped cooling. We called LG. We waited a week for a repairman who was not qualified to fix refrigerators. He stated, I dont fix refrigerators. I work on washers and dryers. But with the help of the tech support he was able to determine it was the compressor. I was instructed to call LG with a case number and they would send out a qualified person to fix the problem. This was on a Friday. I called back late Monday afternoon to check on the progress and told they still havent found anyone to fix the issue. I was denied the privilege to speak with upper management and sent into the queue so long that it kicked me out. I called back 2 more times with the same result. I called back a 4th time and spoke with a different rep. He continues to tell me more of the same stuff. Not one rep was able to give me a time frame that I would have to wait for a service repair man because the truth is they dont have one in my area. He was unable to give me a number to upper management or connect me with someone higher up. He said when they send customers into the queue to be sent to the next level they keep being kicked back to them. So in other words LG does not back their products nor care about their customersThey believe it is acceptable for a product to last less than 3 years and a customer to be without a refrigerator for 2 weeks with no recourse. May I add this is during the quarantine, so I had more food in the fridge than normal and yes I lost a lot of food. But no worries for LG. They are not worried about the customer. Do NOT buy LG products. I have NEVER been so upset or dissatisfied with a product before. I am 44 years old and this is the first BAD product review I have written on any product.

June 2011, we decided to replace our kitchen appliances. Not because our 27 year old Kitchen Aids did not work, but that they looked very outdated. After very much research, we decided on the LG 4 door LMX 28994 refrigerator with the Converta drawer, the LDF 7932 Dishwasher, and the LMS 2073 Microwave Oven. We choose to purchase a GE Monogram dual fuel range rather than an LG at that same time. Our decisions were carefully researched, and the choices made not only based on those particular appliances features, but also upon the then available reviews. 10 months later, we woke to find the food in our fridge warm and spoiled, and our dishwasher no longer working. April 2012, LG replaced our refrigerator, and when I asked if a new warranty would take effect, was advised by LG that they would only extend our existing fridge warranty by 3 months. I asked why? It was a brand new refrigerator... should it not have a one year warranty? Our dishwasher motor was replaced by LG that same month. 3 months later, our microwave started to malfunction, just after it was out of warranty. We did not purchase an extended warranty for the Microwave, but did purchase extended warranties for the refrigerator and dishwasher. Currently we once again have a refrigerator that requires servicing. Its making so much noise that it wakes us in the middle of the night, and our cheeses are going soft, and milk is warm. The service tech cant seem to decide if its the fan or the compressor. Our hope is that this issue is resolved before our extended warranty is up in June 2016, which by the way, is the only right thing we did when we chose to purchase LG appliances. We should have gone with all GE Monogram, since we have not had any trouble at all with our GE range. Our dishwasher has the worst designed racks weve ever seen, and we are now having to pre-rinse our dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. Ahhh modern technology, got to love it. I wonder if Mr. Seong-Jin Jo, President and CEO for LG Appliance Company is aware of, or even cares about the multitude of dissatisfied customers LG appliance has. They may be trying too hard with their Innovation, sending their products out in the market before they have proven their reliability. After spending almost $4,000.00 to purchase our fridge, $1,500 on our dishwasher, and almost $500.00 on our microwave, one would hope that they would last more than a year or two. Never again would we buy LG anything.

I had electrician come out - nothing wrong with my power. Called LG again - sent me to Appliance Doctor. They do not call back. Had to write to LG again and complain. I wish for a Samsung like I had before. These people need to give me my money back.

Boy, do I wish I had read this website 2+ years ago, when I decided to purchase this LG WT5070CW HE WaveForce top loader. I too was swayed by the glowing review from Consumer Reports. Ive been burned several times for following their recommendations, but thats a different story. This has to be the worst washing machine ever. I agree with everything everyone has already said. The bleach dispenser on my machine is also rusting (identical picture to the ones already posted).Ive had clothes come out with detergent still on them, dry spots where the water never even penetrated, all stains are still on the clothes. Ive re-washed, soaked, applied stain removers, etc... If theres any grease/oil component to the stain, you will still have it on your clothes -- even after the heavy duty cycle. Try to do a load of sheets (and Im talking about one set of sheets without the pillow cases) - they just float on the surface and never get pulled down into the tub of water. Come out stale smelling. I am so over this machine. How does something like this get foisted on the public? There are so many identical complaints. I could have written each one of these posted here. As I am merely reiterating that which has been said, I will stop. I have just purchased a Speed Queen top loader (old fashioned agitator type) that Ive never heard any negative reviews about. Its being delivered tomorrow morning. Hallelujah! I am donating this present piece of garbage to whomever wants it.

Bought the fridge April 2021, had it arrive May 2021. Started using it June 17th 2021. It stopped refrigerating July 4th weekend. Lost $250 worth of food. Called LG, got a work order number.. then no contact from anyone. Contacted LGs presidents office. Got a call saying that A&E would be dispatched to do the repair. 7/13/21 A&E tech arrives. Said he isnt qualified/trained to work on the fridge. 90 Mins later he says 7/29/21 they rescheduled the work order. No one called or arrived from A&E on that date. Aug 2nd, A&E texts me saying that its now Aug 10th.. 10 mins later they text saying Aug 17th. Today.. Aug 17th no one arrived, no one called.. two days taking the day off from work and blown off twice by A&E not showing up...So a $3700 fridge that has been broken since the beginning of July sits in our kitchen with no sign that it will be repaired, replaced, or working anytime soon.

I had the same problem with one LG knob on my $2,000 stove. One quick phone call to LG and they immediately shipped me a complete set of new knobs that arrived in under 10 days. Way to go LG for taking care of your customer and recognizing the issue with the plastic stem on the knobs.

I will never buy from LG again! This has been a horrible experience. This is the 2nd time our fridge went out. 1st time frost build up at the back of the fridge and it wouldnt stay cold. We lost $250 in food. This time it completely went out and lost $500 in food plus 2 days off work without pay to have a repairman, who was sent by LG not do anything at all. The repairman told us the compressor and other components had to be replaced. He told us this isnt guaranteed because its known that LG has compressor issues. Its just a bandaid for the inevitable. Today he was supposed to be here at 8:00 am. No call, no show and no explanation! And... 2 weeks now without a fridge. Completely disappointed. This was not a cheap fridge. Dont buy this product! Read all reviews.

I purchased an LG Refrigerator two years with dismal results. The ice maker on the French doors broke, even though I only actually used it for 8 months. I applied to the company for assistance. I complied with all their requests for information, but they never got back to me. Finally after several weeks and many calls, they said they would not help because I purchased a floor model. There are two lessons here - The LG refrigerators are poor performers and the companys warranty is worthless.

I bought a brand new dishwasher & after installation from the first wash it displayed error codes. Called LG customer service several times. Finally they sent a repairman out who said the motor was seized. The dishwasher literally has run 2 times - the third time we got the LG error code which is a problem with the motor. LG wants to repair a dishwasher which has never worked. I tried to explain to them that I was not comfortable with that but their policy is they will not replace a unit until it has 4 major repairs in 1 year. I told them this was broken from the factory. They said there was nothing they could do but repair it. So far we have been without a dishwasher for almost two weeks. I am apparently going to have to either pay to have someone take it out, return it & buy another dishwasher (which LG cust service told me was a good idea) or do that myself with no compensation from LG. I even told them I have an LG phone and LG big screen tv but I will not buy LG again if they dont fix this & they didnt seem to care.

I liked most features such as the touch screen to change my water temp and the temp inside my fridge and its drawers. If I want the meet at a certain temp I can tekk it the temp I want. I didnt dislike hardly anything on that product. I really love temp control from the outside of the product itself. I dont have to stand in the cool air and then decide if I need to rearrange things before I will be able to accomplish what I wish. I would buy another one so yes it met my initial expectations as it keeps fruit ripe and veggies from fermenting. I can hold veggies for weeks before they are black.

My less than 2 yr. old French LG fridge shut off last PM and acts like it is unplugged. Absolutely dead. HH Gregg, where we bought it offered no help and said it would be 7 days before someone could even come look at it. All they could say is....you should have bought the extended warranty. HMM - obviously, there are problems. Never dreamed would have problems this quickly. I will never buy anything from them again - very poor service. I have read many reviews about bad outcomes with LG fridges - wish I had read prior to my purchase. Does anyone have any ideas on what could have 100% shut down the unit? The power outlets all good - we have checked them with other electrical items.

LG claims that their appliances are built to last, but that is definitely not true for this gas stove. After only a few years of gentle use, it is falling apart. All the knobs are cracked, loose and need to be replaced, the centre grill cracked and broke, the LED display is starting to act up, the convection oven fan is pretty much useless. Gas valves are also really touchy and can be accidentally activated by accidentally bumping them. Parts are super expensive! LG wants almost $80 per knob to replace (there are five of them) and $240 for the grill assembly -- $640 + tax just for these parts! There are no electronics or moving components to knobs and grills -- they should last forever -- but they dont. Lots of complaints on the internet about LG stove knobs. Replacement knobs look like the same junk as the originals. No improvements. I called LG customer service to ask what they mean by built to last, but nobody could really say. My family and I are really disappointed that LG makes false claims about reliability and then charges outrageous prices for parts. Appliances should be repairable - at affordable prices - not disposable. We will be getting rid of this unreliable piece of junk and buying a stove from a reputable company. Please consider other manufacturers that are committed to reliability, service and environmental responsibility. LG does not deserve our business.

Purchased stove LRG3097ST/00 in 2011/2012 at Sears. Stove broiler began coming on automatically at odd times (6pm, 1am, 3am, 7pm, etc..) some 6 weeks ago. Since then, we had the warranty servicer out to repair four (4) times. Twice had parts shipped in. The last time, the parts arrived damaged. What a mess. Stove sits unplugged from electrical outlet and gas valve shut off. Thank goodness, I had the forethought of purchasing an extended warranty on this new brand. This past Friday, we received some type of authorization (number) to purchase a replacement stove. I have been reading reviews and will not pick LG, and Kenmores will be carefully scrutinized for quality. Still have an LG refrigerator bought the same time, so waiting to see what happens with it in the coming months. Already having door closure issues. Will not buy anything made in Mexico.

I purchased washer/dryer combo from LG in February 2018. Upon delivery, I left plastic covering on to protect machine, as I have a habit of doing this. Two months later, I removed cover and noticed numerous scratches all over cover of dryer. Calls were made to Best Buy in Levittown, as well as LG directly, over a period of months. I was informed these are cosmetic issues and not covered under warranty. I just want to reiterate the machine was delivered in that condition and not because of my use of machine. As a result, I did not get a satisfactory solution to my problem. Please note I have never given a bad review on any matter. This time, LG deserves this review. This review goes out to Best Buy in Levittown, as well, as the manager I spoke with was very rude and no help at all. I hope this helps anyone looking to purchase appliances.

My very nice LG (big freezer on the bottom) has a computer that lasted 5 1/2 years and Ive been told that thats pretty good for an LG. The service people (two different companies) hate to work on this brand because of the difficulties in understanding the pamphlets/instruction on how to fix them. The two companies I called for help each asked me some pertinent information about my problem and after answering them, both told me the same thing.... The motherboard has died, just like that. I had really liked the fridge until it simply stopped working, even though over the years it made some strange noises and I had trouble with the automatic ice maker. I love the size of the freezer and the fact that its on the bottom. But none of that helps when the thing decides to quit. My problem is that this one replaced (in Feb 2009) a Coldspot that we purchased in 1977!!!! Really! Yes, we had to put in a new compressor in 1991, but what service that thing gave over the years!! To find a silver lining, I guess I have to look at it from the viewpoint that the cost of the LG ($1200) came to spending a little more than $200 a year for its service, which is small enough. Next time I buy a fridge, Ill stick to the old standby names!!

I lost approximately $800 in groceries and have been calling and complain for weeks. Keep in mind I have children and have been having to feed them crap or forced to go to the store load them up every day in order to eat healthy. They have sent a guy out a few times and still nothing is getting fixed. I have seen lot of bad reviews and am suggesting a class action lawsuit again like the one that started against them in 2012. If you would like to join against them please let me know by emailing **. Lets hold them responsible for their faulty products. Now they are saying they cant have someone out until the 8th of March and it broke on the day before the Super Bowl.

Second sent a service person out on a week. Technician stated that our unit was the cleanest unit he had ever seen but unfortunately the compressor was bad. Our out of pocket expense will be $600.01 for a refrigerator that is only 6 years old! Our previous refrigerator was 28 years old and cost 1/3 of the cost of this LG. Called LG to file a complaint with no satisfaction. In fact the LG Representative said LG could not help with any labor cost and that we should remember that the unit USA man made product and was not perfect. Really!?? I purchased my LG Steam Washer and Dryer on 11/26/10 from Home Depot. Thankfully, I purchased a 4 year extended warranty. Now a little over a year later, my dryer all of the sudden stops heating. I made a phone call to Home Depot on March 23rd and they contracted the work out to Appliance Solutions of Utah. When they came to do repairs, they said the dryer needed a new thermostat, the part needed to be ordered and they would be back in 3 days to do the repair. Two weeks go by and never heard from the repair guy and he never showed up on the day he said he would (I took the day off work so I could make sure I was here). Finally after 3 weeks, he showed up claiming they got sent the wrong part he replaced the thermostat and was on his way. Five days later (3/28/12), the heating on my dryer went out. I once again called Home Depot. They got the same company out. The very next day, the guy replaces the same part, the thermostat and then tells me that there is nothing wrong with the dryer. He said that I need to get my ducts cleaned out and that I can just use my dryer unhooked from the wall until I get that done. I used my dryer unhooked from the wall and once again, a week later, the heating goes out on the dryer. So, I gave Home Depot a call. Three days later, the same company shows up. Now hes claiming my dryer is out because its not hooked up to the wall but he needs to order a new thermostat again so it can once again get replaced. The repair man said he would be back in 3 days. Over two weeks have passed since he said that, I havent even received a call from the company and he just left my dryer in pieces in my laundry room. I can barely get in there. I am completely fed up with this worthless dryer, Home Depot, and Appliance Solutions of Utah. I dont think LG should be able to get away with selling these fraudulent dryers to people anymore and apparently no one knows how to repair the dumb things so they dont continue to have these problems.

I purchased my LG #LTCS20220S in Feb. 2015. From the start I had some difficulty with the temp. settings and still do. However, I noticed when I close the refrigerator door that the freezer door pops open. Initially thought this might be causing fluctuations in the freezer because of all the freezer burn Ive been getting on my foods. (The temp. setting is at the lowest setting). It took me a long time to find the correct refrigerator temp setting so food does not spoil. At the lowest freezer setting I am still getting freezer burn on everything that goes in the freezer, including stuff that I repackage in freezer bags or containers (at the advice of LG service rep). What this means is I cannot buy food at the grocery store, like meat, in its original packaging, and just put it in the freezer. In a week, the freezer burns is starting to show up. Ive never had this before with any refrigerator/freezer I have ever owned and Im 64! I have called LG customer service many times. They have sent 2 different service techs out to my house. Everyone tells me nothing can be done, its the design. LG tells me the service techs have to say UNIT IS UNREPAIRABLE before they can file a claim and help me. Its all about the wording used on the service from so beware of that. IF the service tech leaves your house make sure he marks its Unrepairable or nothing will happen! I am going in circles with LG. I am throwing food out like crazy. I am so fed up with this issue that I want to just put this thing out on the curb with a free sign on it! I am still in limbo on this and waiting for a call back which I may never get. Its just not worth it. Nobody at LG is going to be on your side. They make me feel like its my fault! I cant imagine the President of LG repackaging his food before he puts it in his freezer EVERY SINGLE TIME! Like I am doing! Do yourself a favor and support the small appliance store where the customer counts. This is ridiculous and quite a waste of time and money. If I get good service, Ill re-write this review. But as of today, I am not.

In life, you have large purchases that are life events: new home, car, and appliances. From day one back in 2008, from when we purchased our LG fridge (LFX2590TT), we have had nothing but problems.Water leaked and cracked the line on the back of the fridge (caused damage to wood floors). The deli drawer slide cracked and broke off. Water leak was repeated; the service repairman fixed the line and then the line cracked above the repair. The ice-maker freezes up and we had to turn it off to thaw. Water leaked again; the service repairman fixed the line and then the line cracked above the repair (third time). The replacement slide was broken (again). We do not over-load this drawer. Its all plastic crap and has a very poor design. The water line leaks inside the fridge. We gave up and turned off the water dispenser/ice-maker. Then the top of the vegetable/fruit drawers cracked.LG made it on my speed dial. After too numerous to count service calls and being long out of warranty, we have given up. When you buy a $2,400 refrigerator, you think it would work (completely) longer than 2 months. I will never purchase any LG products and I advise others to do the same. They make garbage and when it comes down to it, they just dont stand behind their products. In reading all of these reviews, you would think there would have been a recall, but theres none. Dont buy LG.

Sears wouldnt send a service man even though I offered to pay for the call knowing they were out of warranty. Too far out of Edmonton was the excuse!! Not too far to deliver the appliances!! Funny how that works.Anyhow both power supplies failed and were replaced with an updated version. Funny that they know the parts are faulty but wont even cover the defective parts under warranty. Both dishwashers still have lots of error codes and fail midway thru cycles more than 50% of the time. No one at LG or Sears seems to care so I guess when they die completely Ill replace them with another brand and thru a retailer other than Sears who will agree to service them in my area in writing prior to purchase. LG and Sears will never see me as a customer again and I feel ashamed that I spent over $30,000.00 with them on new appliances. Good luck to you both!! NOT!

I purchased an LG model WM2701HV washing machine (and accompanying dryer) in 2011. In just over a year, the plastic was crumbling into chunks around the detergent dispenser and the writing around the cycle dial was rubbing off. I now have to look at the owner’s manual to make sure I am using the correct cycle because the panel is unreadable. Then, after about a year and a half, I had to replace the drain pump. And of course, I have the smell and mold issue no matter what I use / how often I clean it. So, I have a very expensive, top-of-the-line appliance that I hate. My old $500 top load machine was still going strong after almost 20 years - wish I still had it! No more LG products for me...

I purchased an expensive LG French door refrigerator. The compressor is guaranteed for 10 years and in just 3 years it has gone out. No authorized repair person in our area so the repair person started the lengthy process of getting authorization to repair my refrigerator and have a compressor sent to him. After more than a week, LG said there was a typo on the authorization and it needed to be started again. Another 3 days and he received an email. He attempts to order the part after waiting on hold for more than 40 minutes. The part is on back order. Refused to say for how long but when I called the parts department myself they said it was at least a month before they even get them in stock to start filling orders. The executive department now says it all starts from the date the order was placed so it is too soon to do anything further. Refuse to put in writing the date the part is expected. They say they arent required to do so. LG has made an inferior compressor, many, many going out, and then have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have never had a bigger runaround in all my life. In the meantime, I have no refrigerator, just a huge expensive piece of something in my kitchen.

Machine does not fully drain, allowing a smell to build up and be washed back into your clothes. Difficult to clean debris from drain holes in rubber seal. In the event that you need to drain the machine, there is no drain function. It needs to be manually drained from a tiny hose at the bottom of machine. And for us, that meant into a hose, through the garage and down the driveway. Look for a drain feature on my next purchase!

If I could’ve given this zero stars I would’ve. I bought this LG (Life is Good) top loader washing machine and LG Dryer because my old dryer finally broke after 10 years of usage. My previous washing Machine worked fine but the wife wanted the new LG dryer to match a new LG washing machine. So we bought the set. After maybe 4-5 years I noticed some rust on the inside of the body of the washer. Well that rust spot got bigger and more rust spots began to pop up. After many failed attempts with LG customer service and their service technician in my area the end results were that they would not repair or replace the washer. It is considered a cosmetic issue. The rust has dropped into the washer with the clean clothes defeating the purpose of cleaning the clothes. It now has become a hassle pulling the so called clean clothes out of the washer without touching the sides or the top because it’s all rusty. I’ve sent LG pictures of the rust at their request with no response. During the time of purchase we also bought other LG appliances. I’ve had problems with their microwave, stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. My older appliances I had that were much less expensive outlasted the very expensive LG CRAP I bought. Don’t buy LG!!

I had a high regard for LG prior to this experience. Indeed, we have many LG items in our home. Now, our refrigerator has failed with a known fault and is not yet being fixed. We had a service appointment today which they cancelled. Rescheduled for 3 weeks later. That will be a month with no refrigerator. We bought what we thought was a high end refrigerator and it has worked great for a short time, but then just quit cooling. LG has been less than exemplary on fixing it. This is a very bad move, company wise. I now have a totally negative impression of LG and any of their products. I will NEVER buy another LG product. I just dont trust them anymore. We have to wait a full month without a refrigerator to find out if our refrigerator will even be fixed. Last LG item of any kind I will ever buy.

Following some serious health issues my wife and I moved south to Florida. Based on the cost of buying new vs transporting everything we decided to purchase new. After building and closing on our brand new home on the South Florida Gulf Coast we identified the best appliance store and proceeded to purchase what we were told the best quality Washer (LG steam inverter direct drive True Balance) and the Gas Dryer (LG True Steam Sensor Dry) which were both listed by Consumer Guide as their choice/“Top Rated”? For the record we owned a matched pair of The Whirlpool Duet Washer and Gas Dryer up north prior to moving south for OVER 15 YEARS WITHOUT INCIDENT! The LG washer came with an impressive 10 year warranty and to my complete surprise the Dryer came with a ridiculous 1 year warranty! Within six months the dryer was leaking small amounts of water on the floor and the dryer was making loud grinding noises that got progressively louder as the dry cycle progressed! In addition the inside drum/tumbler finish became worn out and marred while the vent at the rear inside of the dryer literally had the finish burnt off with excessive heat presenting a serious issue! In fact some expensive Tommy Bahama shirts were ruined by this dryer!I have called the US Customer Information Center numerous times over the past two years leaving numerous messages until one day three months ago I finally had someone pick up from the Customer Information Center that was obviously overseas possibly located in India based on the gentlemen’s accent This gent proceeded to tell me that the washer was still under warranty but the dryer is only covered for one year! UNBELIEVABLE!!! He then informed me that he would have someone get back to me within the next 24 hours BUT obviously that never happened!! Based on the pricing and the alleged “Top of the line” there has got to be something that can be done? As we live in South Florida the clothing we cycle thru both machines is very light with no shoes ever touching either unit. Based on the facts I would warn you, stay away from LG Washers and Dryers!!

I seldom, if ever, write complaint letters. However, this washer has been the worst purchase I have ever made. I absolutely HATE this machine. I thought I was purchasing a high-end washer and its a piece of JUNK. There is never enough water even though I always select more water with each load. The clothes arent even fully emerged! Stains remain, the clothes appear dingy, and after the load is complete, all the clothes are twisted together in knots. I have to separately untangle each piece in the load before placing in the dryer. No agitator in the top loader, insufficient water, spin speed ties clothes in knots. You should see my king size sheets. Its been a nightmare since day one. AVOID this machine like the plague. Im getting a replacement ASAP.

We bought a LG LDF7561ST dishwasher just over a year ago, started having issues with it not draining. Had the tech come out - said the hose was clogged, worked for one load. Second load did the same thing. He came out again. He said its the pump, replaced it when the part came in. Again worked for one load and second load wont drain. Then he replaced the control board still doing the same thing. Now he says he doesnt really know whats wrong so now hes blaming the problem on our plumbing in the house. My house is 12 years old, never a problem with anywhere else and the kitchen sink drains perfectly fine. Still not fixed, had a Maytag in there for 11 years and never a problem. I bought a LFX31925ST in 2012 from (ahem) AJ Madison. I bought it with an extended warranty on it, but little did I know... Apparently this fridge has a vacation sensor on it. Whenever I would leave the house for over a week (twice, it happened), the freezer would frost up, get hot, and when I came home from vacation, everything was melted and ruined. Lately, the fridge compartment has been at about 55F, even though the temp sensor is set to 36. The freezer wont freeze anything to below 0F either. I called a repairman and he determined the sealed system was bad, and I should call LG since it was supposedly still under the 10 year warranty, which is why I bought the fridge - the 10 year warranty. I called LG and after a lengthy process of verifying I bought the fridge and providing the receipt, they told me they would only cover parts, not labor and that could ONLY be done by approved repair people on their list. They emailed me only 3 repair companies, telling me that in MY area (Seattle) they dont have a lot of repair people. So sorry. I called all three of them and they each want to charge me (and Im serious here), $910 in labor, flat rate. To find and repair a freon leak. Something that could be done in an hour. I knew it was useless and I asked one repair guy, Why the flat rate? I know it doesnt cost that much. He said, Because the tools are expensive. I have to use a freon pump, and a charger, and buy freon, it adds up. I told LG about the experience and they replied, We are not in charge of what these approved vendors decide to charge the end user, it is out of our hands. I would never, EVER buy a LG again. I hope there ends up being a class action lawsuit, because my fridge isnt worth ** now, and Im going to have to get somebody to dispose of it.

Updated on 05/30/2020: As I stated in previous review this dishwasher has a manufacturing problem and LG refuses to do anything because it been too long!! It was made without railing on the bottom and thats why the basket keeps falling inside the machine. To refresh, they sent me about a year ago 2 new baskets, which of course didnt help. I dont know anything about machinery so I wasnt aware of the problem. A very nice problem resolver named Sean called and took pictures and told me what the problem was in the manufacturing and that he would resolve my problem and would be calling me in 1 HOUR. Well, its been 5 days and NO CALL!! Each time I have called customer service for an update they get snooty with me and keep giving me the run around. I WILL NOT be purchasing anymore LG products they do not stand by their products. For Sean who said he would help go to hell!!Original Review: LG makes an excellent washer with the exception of my lower basket. From day one Ive had a problem with it and LG sent me another one and it lasted less than 1 year. The bottom basket falls off the runner constantly and I am a senior that would prefer not to have to lift the entire basket filled with dishes to try to push it backside the washer. The model # is LDT9965BD and I bought it a Best Buy and Best Buy refused to help me. So Ive had this washer for 3 years and everyday the same problem. If I could buy another dishwasher I would. Also the things on the top and bottom move and I have to keep adjusting them and the utensil holder is a problem as it breaks apart and now is permanently broken. I could live with the others things. Its the bottom basket running off the rails everyday that is challenging. LG will not resolve this issue so I live with this aggravation on a daily basis.

This expensive appliance is a total waste of my money. Thought I was buying top-of-the-line washer, so spent a bit more. My laundry comes out with obvious dirty marks on it, which must be mold being slung onto the fabric. I dont have confidence that anything is really clean. I have had black streaks on white slacks, sheets, blouses, etc. It is disgusting. I have to hand-wash these marks out the best I can; dont always come clean. Have also thrown out 2 full sets of towels due to looking so nasty & dingy. They do NOT come clean. Also have had problems with the balance, where the machine will not spin out the water with 7 minutes left in the cycle. It keeps adding more water, trying to weigh the load, but cannot spin. Wind up having to pull dripping wet clothes out, finish rinsing the best I can in the bathtub, try to hand-wring these heavy items, and let the dryer run way too hard to dry them. Dont ever buy an LG front-load washing machine. Got this in January 2010; it was manufactured 11/10/2009. It is a piece of JUNK!

Purchased an LG LMV1813ST/02 microwave on 26 June 2013 for about $250. This over the stove model stopped heating on 9 Nov 2015. The warranty was 1 year, except magnetron that was 10 years. Contacted LG and went through steps to restart MV. Was then told it needed a tech to repair it. I was given two local authorized LG shops. One did not work on microwaves, and the other wanted a bench charge of $95 plus parts and labor to fix it even though I dismounted it and brought it to their facility! It is almost cheaper to buy another microwave. I equipped my home with all LG products. I hope they did a better job on the washer, dryer, dishwasher, and stove. I am sorry I went with LG.

My 32CFT refrigerator’s compressor failed 3 times in last 3 years. Still within Warranty. This time it stopped cooling on Aug 6th, notified on 7th, they sent an Authorized tech from Goodman Services: they sent 3 technicians so far, but the problem never solved. First Tech, came in with ill health, couldn’t finish the job and left in the middle. Their customer services never cares about customers, after all they are the only authorized tech for LG.Got to speak to almost 7 to 8 LG reps, spent almost 15-20 hrs on phone, every time diff. answers, even after 1 month 1 week, the problem never solved. They scheduled one more service call to same Goodman service company again for an urgent service request almost 4 days ago, but no response from them yet. Can you imagine how can one survive without a Ref during this Covid situations, in hot summer in Texas for more than a month with two small kids. Spent almost $2k, still in Warranty, bought extended Warranty, which of no use when needed. It has been terrible. Hope LG may take an appropriate action to resolve my problem ASAP...

My LG refrigerator (Model: LFX25971ST) is not cooling. I bought an LG stainless steel fridge about three years ago. Last night, water started leaking from the ice maker on the door. Later, I found out that the water was leaking because the fridge was no longer cooling the upper part, nor freezing the freezer compartment.I called LG Customer Service to complain, but all I received was Im sorry. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was put on hold for over 15 minutes. The supervisor said that he would look into approving reimbursement for parts, but not for labor (no promises). I now have to wait until Monday (now Saturday) to get a reply. If I went to an authorized repairman prior to receiving a reply, then they will not cover anything. So, do I wait three days for a possible partial covered repair (and not have a fridge) or do I call a repairman today? By the way, this is the second major repair to my fridge in the last few months. The first came when the water line (on the fridge, not the connection to the house) cracked and leaked behind the fridge, causing considerable damage to my floor and the ceiling in the basement. My insurance company was involved and asked for the cracked tube after I had it replaced. They said that they would consider legal actions to recover the insurance claim.

I have a front-load washer that has made me and my family very sick. Before I bought the front-load washer, I called LG customer service to get details on how to not have smell/mold problems in my machine. I was very diligent in cleaning it. I cleaned around the rubber area in the door, I drained the old water, cleaned the filter, cleaned inside the soap area and the took the soap dispenser out and cleaned that too, as well as running the tub clean cycle - using afresh, running it with bleach, running it with vinegar, leaving the door open, using HE soap, etc. I called LG to see what they could do because the smell was in my clean clothes. An LG tech came out to look at the machine regarding the smell and found that I did everything humanly possible to keep it clean. He called LG and they told him to take the tub to a car wash and spray it down (ridiculous). The tech went further, because he knew this would do nothing, and got approval to replace some parts (the back part of the tub had been discontinued???). In cleaning the machine, I watched as black mold and bacteria came out of the hoses and it was on the back of the tub. I took this information to the corporate level and I was told immediately that it was maintenance. I was shocked as to how Tish could tell me that it was my fault immediately without talking to the tech. It was only after I told her that the tech said that it was going to come back again, that she called him. After being left on hold for 15 mins., she got back on the phone and said that she spoke to the tech, his manager, and her manager, and that they were going to review my case.Well 1 week later I called back; Tish told me that they werent going to do anything. She said after talking to their legal department they decided that it was a maintenance issue. They said I misused the washing machine...HUH?? I have had allergic conjunctivitis so bad that my eye doctor and my specialist have told me to go 2 hrs. away to UVA because after 2-3 years of misery and steroid eye drops, dermatologist testing, allergy testing and numerous visits to doctors, they dont know what is wrong with me. Funny how now that the tub in my washer has been replaced and many parts steam cleaned, I dont have the zombie look anymore. It is still in the clothes and the sheets that we sleep in, but it has improved. Bottom line, LG corporate is programmed to blame the consumer, even if they have a defective product. They dont stand behind their name at all. BUY A SAMSUNG!!!

We purchased a new LG refrigerator in April of 2017. This replaced one we had for over 20 years and was looking forward to getting a new updated fancy one. After about a year our refrigerator quit working and a repair person was sent out to fix. They repaired and after a month it quit working again. They returned and replaced the compressor. Were told having problems with new compressors but yet they replace with same bad compressors. My friend has had the same issues and they came and replaced her compressor and all the internal parts, will see how long that last. Fast forward January 16, 2020. Woke up this morning and water leaking and our refrigerator is not working. Once again all our food in freezer and fridge are no good. So disappointed in this product, it has never kept our food cold like it should. You try calling customer service and they answer Lifes Good (not) and you get robot CLARK, who says you can talk to him like a person. Last thing you want to hear when you are so angry. They never let you talk to a real person but instead they send you a text for you to complete and to have someone call you back in a day. Will see how long it takes for them to call. So frustrating! I have a nine year old type 1 diabetic who needs her medication refrigerated. So now have to once again live out of an ice chest. I have told my family never to buy LG. I loved the look, style, features, and all the different slide out drawers and compartments. I was sold! This is everything I could want in a refrigerator. Then came the disappointment... In the first year, it was getting ice build up on the inside of the refrigerator. Repair said it some kind of software problem, wasnt programmed correctly or something. It is the second year I have it, it will be in November 2016 two years old. Not working again, repair tech says this time the compressor is SHOT!!! REALLY that is the heart of the unit, in two years. So it is under warranty for the part but not the labor. So it will cost $450 to fix. On Tuesday they were supposed to expedite the part. Its Saturday and Im still waiting. I thought expedite meant send it NOW! I wrote a few emails to LG, they responded, Were sorry for your troubles and inconvenience. We purchased a LFXS30726S French Door Refrigerator Freezer approximately 18 months ago. On October 23, 2017 the refrigerator seemed to be getting warm. Changes to the temperature setting did not improve the issue. We called the LG customer service number on October 24 and walked through a diagnostic process over the phone. LG said a repair would be fully covered under warranty. No cost to the customer. It was determined there was an issue with the sealed system (compressor/evaporator) and would need a certified technician to come out to our home. Received a case reference number: ** and then the mess began. I live in the metro NYC area in CT and no technicians on their approved list wanted to do this repair. LG was unable to get a technician setup that day. Escalated the issue to Joan in their scheduling team (executive services). After five days they found a technician. When this company called, they said LG would only pay $100 and we would owe the balance which could be $800+. We called LG and they indicated it’s a covered repair with an approval number: **. Then, the phone tag began with the service company saying that approval maximizes out at a lesser expense and LG saying its approved. I three way called them both and LG said its approved and service company said not for the right amount. Apparently the fixed fee reimbursement is too low for many companies. Now on my third company --- Akosemi. Lets see what happens. Its November 7 and still not a repaired refrigerator/freezer. Lost all my food. LG makes a poor product with awful service. The whole experience is terrible. Never buy another LG as long as I live.

We are very impressed with the fabric care provided by our LG washer and dryer pair. The steam cycle options really get clothes clean - the whites are whiter than with bleach. There were no bargain, but you get what you pay for.

Two years ago, my wife and I purchased an LG 7957295 French Door refrigerator. Its now 2020 and the compressor is shot. Sears wants $1000 to repair it or will give me a %50 discount if I pay $50 ($600 per year) for an appliance (all) warranty. I could have purchased a $3000 refrigerator for that amount of money. I checked and sure enough the LGs are having problems with their linear compressors I am told. The reviews say it and the repairmen are saying it. Yet, LG continues to sell them. Last, we have had numerous problems with this refrigerator from the start, loud auger sound in back, dents if you look at it, fingerprint resistant is anything but. I am heading out to buy a new refrigerator since I dont want any more problems with this item.

LG washer and dryer purchased at Home Depot 2-23-2011. The washer shakes and stops saying it not balanced. I rearrange the clothes in washer and it does it repeatedly. The dryer has stopped working. I called a service man he cant fix. Model DLEX5101W. I paid $898.00 for each of these appliances. I have the receipt if necessary, I can fax it.

I purchased an LG Dishwasher model number LDF6920ST from Home Depot. This unit looks great and is quiet, however, it does not clean and does not dry your dishes. The internet is flooded with similar complaints about this model. When you call the LG service department, they are nice enough but will only offer to send a technician to check it out. What are they going to check? Its not broken! It is a pathetic design that has been compromised by all the emphasis being placed on energy efficiency.I am out around $700.00 for the unit which does not account for installations costs and the grief incurred!
