I have an LG front load. It does not have an option to add more water and there is never any extra water in it other than what is on the clothes. As a result I have to wet the clothes down before I start the cycle and do a “rinse and spin” at the end of a full wash as the “extra rinse” does not utilize enough water to justify the electricity being used but the rinse and spin seems to have residual water in the drum. Even with minimal soap and fabric softener or using vinegar in the mid cycle the clothes still come out with a chemical smell to them. Yes I clean the machine regularly as it also has a problem with getting smelly quickly. Had to replace the sensor that creates the spin at year 6 but DIY as this is such a common problem and instructions found easily on the internet.

Purchasing the matching LG washer and dryer was my first LG appliance purchase - and it will be my last. I have usually purchased appliances by Kenmore or Maytag and would have the appliances for years before they had to be serviced. However, that has not been the case with the LG 7.4 cu. ft. Gas Dryer with Steam in White, Model # DLGX3571W. I purchased the dryer on June 27, 2015 and it was delivered July 2, 2015. About a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that the clothes were not drying after a full cycle. The first time, I increased the drying time and made it more dry, still the clothes did not dry. Finally, after the third cycle the clothes were dry. Since that time, it has taken several drying cycles to dry one load of clothes. I cant imagine how this will affect my gas bill. Because the dryer is only about 6 months, I requested a new dryer. I figure that if I started repairing a dryer that is only 6 months old, Ill be repairing it forever. But I was told by a very condescending executive manager, Cortel, that I would not get a new machine because that is not how it works. I tried to rationalize with him and told him that I was willing to have a service tech check the machine, but if there was a problem I didnt want it fixed, I wanted it replaced with a new machine. That was like talking to a wall. So my next step is to file a complaint with the President of the company. I would caution consumers against purchasing Model #DLGX3571W in particular and in dealing with LG in general because of their unwillingness to be fair to their customers.

Had to buy a new dryer when our old ones cord was incompatible in our new home, decided on the Gas Dryer Model DLGX3571W. Soon after purchase, started making high-pitched whining noise. Also started shrinking a lot of our clothes. Had 3 service calls with seller (ABT, who is awesome), then 2 with LG. First LG tech told me the problem was a missing outside vent. Brought in a handyman - the vent is right there, working fine (i.e., LG tech flat-out lied to me). Second tech couldnt find an issue either, thought the noise was an installation issue.Called LG, they told me that (1) they cant find a problem, (2) its operating as designed, (3) if they bring someone else out who still cant find the problem, theyll charge me, (4) they wont replace it because they dont know whats wrong with it. I asked if their dryers are designed to shrink clothes. Response: We couldnt find a problem. I pointed out that even if they cant find it, shrinking my clothes is a problem. Response: Its operating as designed. I said that my previous LG dryer didnt shrink my clothes, but this LG dryer does that when I use the exact same settings I used before. Response: We couldnt located a problem.

We had bought LG refrigerator. It looks good brand and quality but beware its very bad and it stop working. This is all the LG product I bought, very upset and I will not recommend this product at all. Dishwasher LG not working, had insurance came, they came five times still does not work at all. They DID something and no steam working, does not clean. Well its a mess.LG stove - o my god the knobs are plastic and bad quality. They send twice, still melts and poor quality and when you turn the knob it breaks because its plastic not metal. Now the knobs dont work, it goes all around and dont do what it suppose to do, I can go on and on. Bad quality. Beware dont buy this. I will not even recommend it to my worst enemy.Beware LG are not good products. My sister have Maytag and her products are still working and she bought for less money. We bought this product waste a lot of money. All piece of cant say the word but Im very upset. So people please dont buy this product. Come to my house and you will see what I mean how they look and how bad they are. Now I need save up and buy all but this time it will not be a LG products for sure. Please LG clean up your mess and do something to those like me trusted your product and ended up with piece of junk not working.

LG was a refrigerator that I owned for campus living needs. Cheapest option with back to school discount. Pre-owned. Freezer was great when it worked. Freezer settings for upper compartment was super convenient. Kept ice cream like soft serve but keeps milk ice cold. Froze bread OK I guess. Crisper drawers didnt work at all. Changing the temperature was way too sensitive. When My water bottles froze solid overnight with a power short. Warm milk was awful to wake up to.

We bought a one year old LG Trom stainless steel washer from a co-worker of my spouse when we moved into our new house. I was not crazy about a front loader but loved the price and the fact he would deliver it. To its credit, it spent the next 2 1/2 years washing up here, including the cast offs of 4-5 bassets hounds, which we foster for the rescue. We got an error code OE on a regular basis and cleaned out the two filters and it came back on. It made our clothes and laundry room smell and always leaked a small amount out on the floor. Finally, it would not clear the OE code although I could run it through the cycles manually. When I checked on getting it repaired, the eye opening started. The first appliance store I called stated that something should be done about these being imported into the country. He virtually recoiled when I told him what I had. And only person in my area (southern Houston, not exactly the boonies) worked on these and could get parts. Okay, I called him. $75.00 service call when we can get to you, and it cant be applied towards the repair. Then I researched online and found out that it would most likely cost 200-400 dollars to fix it with even small things wrong.Okay....maybe I just will buy something else, like the top loading white Kenmore I have spent the last 50 years washing in. I checked around with two used dealers and again, they didnt fix LGs, would not carry them, and didnt want one. The used Kenmore is downstairs merrily washing away in 30 minutes time when the LG took an hour for most anything. Also, I could soak or dye anything in it. It left here with the junk dealer...Good Riddance!

I was told the linear compressor was a good reason to make this purchase. It was not and is a good reason not to buy LG refrigerators. They indicate a 10 year warranty on the compressor but fail to disclose you have to pay for the labor. I am now living out of an ice chest for the second time in 10 months. My advice to LG you know you sold a defective product, do the honorable and right thing and repair or replace at no charge. My fridge is 7 years old inoperable for the second time in 8 months so I am borrowing space in neighbor’s 25 year old Whirlpool. If LG wants my future business they need to clean up their past mistakes.

I purchased an LG dishwasher for my newly renovated kitchen, it was professional installed the first of May right before the final acceptance of the renovation. The plumbers tested the dishwasher and all appeared ok, I never had a chance to even use it once. On May 9th I walked into the kitchen to find three inches of water in the kitchen and dining/living rooms, with water pouring out from the dishwasher. It was inspected by the factory rep from LG that a clip on one end of water hose was missing and determined this was a factory defect. Since there was extensive damage to three Persian rugs floating in water, furniture and areas behind the newly installed cabinets I filed a claim with LG and after 4 months they still have not made a reasonable offer to reimburse me for the damages their defective product caused. Very very poor customer service. Will never purchase another LG product and would not recommend their products to anyone.

Updated 09/04/2020: Every single review here on this website, there is a response from LG promising to look into the problem, its been two weeks since I sent them my information that they asked for and have heard nothing. Since then Ive had my electric range repaired. On my credit card statement they charged me $135 just for the diagnostic and $150.50 for the replacement of a Rotary Switch. It took the repair technician 45 minutes to take my stove apart and test each component. He couldnt determine what was wrong with the stove at this point. Then he went to the visitor parking lot where his truck was parked and brought in the box of parts, why didnt he bring them in when he came in, (the clock is ticking at $65 for 15 minutes)? He opened the box and took out a rotary switch, thats the plug on the knob that turns your stove on and off. He replaced it and that was what the problem was, problem solved. The time that it took him replacing the very first part that he tested without taking the range apart was like two minutes. He should have done that to begin with. Summary: it took the Technician 50 minutes to take the whole stove apart and test everything without a diagnosis and less than 5 minutes to replace the first part that he tested without having to take the whole stove apart. I was charged an additional $150.50 for that on top of the $135 for the diagnostic fee. I disputed this charge with a supervisor after calling them and havent heard anything since 8/27/20 for their review of my complaint.Original review: I purchased the $1,100 electric range 2 years ago. I use it three, four times a month maximum and already after 2 years the front right burner doesnt work. I called customer service to inquire about it and they informed me the warranty had expired after a year. I said I was very disappointed after having a stove for only 2 years that already I need to have a burner replaced. I was told that the supervisor could review the matter and that I would hear back 3 to 5 days. I heard back after about eight days with a denial and that I have to pay for the repair. Im stunned that I paid $1,100 for the stove and already and it needs to be repaired???

Bought a brand new LG refrigerator. Loaded it up with food. The next day freezer food was soft and food in the fridge was all rotten. Tried to save the freezer food and turned the freezer to maximum cooling. The next day all the food was rotten and the whole house smelled like garbage. Best Buy switched the refrigerator but said to call LG to reimburse for the cost of food. LG was very unapologetic. Service is very poor. I called three times and was put on long holds to wait to talk to the supervisors. The customer care refused to pay for the cost of food. I had easily $400 worth of food in there. LG hung up the phone on me twice. I am regretting buying this refrigerator.

Current elapsed time of this issue is now 1 and 1/2 months. The LG refrigerator (LFXC24726S/02) stopped working on April 27, 2018. The refrigerator is still under warranty. I bought a kitchen suite of 4 appliances through Costco which included the refrigerator. LG did not want to honor the warranty at first. After several calls they sent a technician who determined it was a defective compressor. 2 weeks elapsed and neither LG nor I heard from him again. After several calls to LG a second technician came and also determined it was a defective compressor. He ordered the compressor. He finally came to our house but refused to install the compressor because LG had not paid him for previous service calls and demanded payment for his services upfront. He was rude and discourteous. He said LG failed to provide him with the info to process the repair. He did not want to talk to the LG customer service either. I was able to get him the info so he could proceed. He installed the compressor under duress. He left right away. The repair to the refrigerator failed.I had contacted Costco and Costco and LG have been going back and forth to make a final determination to provide a refund. There is still no determination. I have kept notes of the ineptitude of LG, its customer service, its repair services and its unwilling to fulfill the obligations of the warranty. I have spent countless hours trying to find a resolution. I have been without a refrigerator and have lost food to spoilage. I am not happy that Costco is also unable to leverage LG to address the issue. I am being neglected and not responded to because of LGs lack of care toward its customers. It is further distressing that a company can flat out not fulfill the warranty obligations of its products.

I bought an LG top loading washer about two months ago, which worked fine for about a month. Now, more often than not, it goes out of balance with a UE code and, occasionally, the power button will not work. I contacted customer service and was informed that I am out of area for factory service but that they would schedule a local repair service and get back to me. Instead, I got an email telling me how to load a washing machine (Ive only been doing that for about 50 years) and ignoring the power button problem. And the email stated on the bottom that it is not possible to answer one of their emails. Right now, I am thinking about small claims court.

Have been in touch with LG---They told us this was the only person around that could work on the refrigerator! Would not buy an LG again because of issues of poor service after the purchase. Have been without a refrigerator for four weeks waiting on someone to repair it.

The controls on this microwave take some getting used to. Theyre impossible to see in dim light, and theyre not really very intuitive. My old microwave had actual buttons with numbers on them. This one uses a cutsie system that must have been designed by nerds who just wanted to demonstrate a clever-- but not user-friendly-- alternative. Oh well! Otherwise, the microwave works just fine.

Update : To their credit LG responded by sending out service technicians twice to resolve the problem, both gentlemen were very professional, timely and worked to resolve the issue. On the first visit the circulating fan motor was changed - but this unfortunately did not resolve the issue. On the second visit while disconnecting and reconnecting the wiring at the back of the oven, the problem was resolved (no parts changed). The oven works fine now and the issue is resolved.I would have given this an even higher star rating - except during the repair process it was confirmed that there really are no control board parts available for this particular oven (only newer models of it) - so if the controller board ever goes wrong I will be out of luck.

Have only had the fridge for just over 5 years, and already the compressor has failed. Came home to water all over the floor. All the food in the freezer had to be tossed. Tried calling LGs 800 number, and I got Craige, their automated whatever you want to call it. When go through his questions, you get disconnected. Tried calling 4 times to actually speak to someone, and every time got Craige. I guess LGs great Linear Compressor has a 10 year warranty, but Im looking at over $500 to have it put in as only the part will be covered. I wish I had read reviews about this horrible compressor when I was purchasing this fridge, as I would never have bought it. But Im like so many others and will have to get it fixed since it cost so much money only 5 years ago. Just sad LG cant make a reliable product. What makes me mad is they know about their failing compressors and arent doing anything about it with their so called valued customers.

We purchased an LG in-wall Convection oven in 2010 and have four. After 3 years, the shelves no longer fit properly. I did not look up reviews before I purchased this refrigerator, I wish I did! On the upscale price of closer to the $3000 mark, I feel I got a lemon. I loved the look, style, features, and all the different slide out drawers and compartments. I was sold! This is everything I could want in a refrigerator. Then came the disappointment... In the first year, it was getting ice build up on the inside of the refrigerator. Repair said it some kind of software problem, wasnt programmed correctly or something. It is the second year I have it, it will be in November 2016 two years old. Not working again, repair tech says this time the compressor is SHOT!!! REALLY that is the heart of the unit, in two years. So it is under warranty for the part but not the labor. So it will cost $450 to fix. On Tuesday they were supposed to expedite the part. Its Saturday and Im still waiting. I thought expedite meant send it NOW! I wrote a few emails to LG, they responded, Were sorry for your troubles and inconvenience. We have sent your concerns to complaint dept. Blah blah blah. Wont ever buy another LG product.

I bought LG refrigerator from Costco back in Feb 24 2016. It was 30 cubic feet and I paid almost $2700. Nightmare started couple of weeks ago and it is ongoing. Refrigerator stop cooling, I called lg. They told me to reset and wait for 8 hrs which I did. Nothing happened, called again. They said it suppose to be 24 hrs wait, I waited 24 hrs. Nothing happened, called back again. They send the lg technician. He said faulty compressor in that kind of fridge with tons of other complains. He said they will take 6 weeks or more to repair due to so many complaints and back order on compressor. We have a tiny refrigerator right now we are using as a backup, but it can only hold milk and butter, I called costco, explained my situation to Isaac one of the manager in Victorville store near my house, and ask him to make a exception returning it due to such a long time for repair and upcoming holidays, he consulted his superior and they declined to return, but he said he contacted lg and told them about the time frame for repair, lg told him they will try to find a repair shop which can repair it sooner.Oh by the way the lg technician told me that lg used plastic ring instead of metal in compressor to save few bucks. That ring melts quickly. Thats why they are having so many complaints, according to that lg technician compressor supposed to last for 10 years. I am still waiting the response from costco and lg. My advice to consumers not buy large appliances from costco due to their scam. 100% satisfaction guarantee policy which only cover for 90 day. It is ridiculous, also lg technical support is very unsupportive and their refrigerators are faulty, unless you would like to have a nightmare like I am going through.

Bought LG W/D set from Lowes, topload washer not frontload. 33 days after installation dryer started knocking while drying (loud). Called LG CS, took 5 days for repairman to call and set up appt. Rollers were bad so installed new ones, 2 days later loud knocking was back so installed new motor, 3 days later and louder than before. Repairman came out and replaced all rollers again. So far all is good but the process took over 2 months to resolve. Lowes was NO help at all. Now the washer... it smells like rotten eggs after a couple of washes, we need to run tub clean every 2-3 days to keep smell away.1500.00 and we have a washer that has all the fancy bells and whistles but cant do a basic wash load without special care. Even following all the instructions for keeping lid open and not leaving clothes in washer nothing changes the smell after a couple of days. LG CS is terrible, Lowes CS is terrible. LG products are a nightmare, never again. Bought 3 yr extended warranty and they were just words and excuses. Seems this is a design flaw that should have been fixed but I guess the consumer will just deal with the bad product design.

We paid top dollar (over $3000) for an LG Linear refrigerator in June, 2015. In March, 2018, it began making strange clicking noises so we got online and followed some tutorials about how to fix it. Nothing worked. We had a repairman come and he had to replace the control board and fan, at a cost to us of about $600. Now here we are in October, 2019 and it’s doing the exact same thing. We are looking at having to replace both exact same things, only this time it will cost $690. We could have bought a new refrigerator for what we’ve spent on repairs in the past four years. I will never buy another LG product. Maybe the company will see this and offer some compensation, but I doubt it. It’s infuriating!

We purchased our gas range from Home Depot. The first range had a gas leak and home Depot replaced it with the exact same. Down the road the knob for the oven head broken. I called LG and mentions the broken oven knob and also mentioned that we had smelled gas coming from the stove. They sent out a technician to fix the oven knob but not check to see if the stove was leaking gas. We experienced natural gas smells on and off in our kitchen. So then I decided to call again and then they sent someone out to check on the gas leak. It was leaking gas due to a manufacturer defect just like the very first stove. This gas leak had been going on for about 9 months. LG has horrible customer service, long wait times on the phone and they do not care that this natural gas that has been leaking from their stove has caused health issues for all of our family members. The health issues that we as a family have experienced are lightheadedness, burning eyes, headaches, ringing of the ears, flu like symptoms, breathing problems and chest pains. After the repair of the gas leak we called LG to let them know we do not feel comfortable with having their gas range in our home after this being the second one that has been leaking natural gas. They did not care. They did not show concern. They were not willing to provide a new unit. The care of this company is not about the well-being of their customers. We have also had trouble with the refrigerator and dishwasher being stainless steel having rust on them. I did also bring this up during the phone call but they said thats not their problem. Not sure how you can call something stainless steel put your name on it and then say its not your problem. All of these experiences that we have had with our kitchen appliances happened within the first year we bought them. I hope this helps others make a informed decision on purchasing LG products.

Last year the freezer stopped cooling - only after 10 months of having it - which made the top stop cooking. We lost a ton of meat, ice cream, dairy, etc! They replaced several things, only for it to happen again 1 year later. Stop focusing on every efficient and focus on making a long lasting product!!!

I bought this very expensive refrigerator 3 years and have had nothing but problems. The first issues was the water line for the icemaker was leaking into the door, the entire icemaker and door needed to be replaced. (tons of black mold on the door that was removed). Then last year the compressor broke and needed to be replaced. Now the compressor is broken again and needs to be replaced. The repair guys from LG were here today, but they dont have any parts so I have to wait another week before they will put the part in. I have 80 people coming to my house for a party this weekend and no refrigerator!!!

Bought LG French door fridge for $3275.00. Compressor went out in less than three years. Floor damaged and food lost, as we were not home that weekend. Called LG, they said try to find someone to work on it. Had two different repairman out, neither would work on it since its due to the compressor. Something about closed systems. Sears repair said they dont work with warranties and Best Buy said they didnt have a qualified person to work on it. Went through the Holidays with without that fridge. Been on the phone many times with LG, only to be told theyll call me back, but have not. Its been over a month now. I dont know what to do, its still under warranty. I saved for a long time for that thing.

I purchased an LG top load washer in the summer of 2014. This machine has been the cause of so many headaches and so much frustration. My daughter texts me every time she uses the machine to tell me how much she hates it. I have had the technician to the house three times in the past year and a half. They have replaced the motherboard, motor, rotor, power cord and on and on... and it still does not work. It gives UE, OE and IE messages with every load. I have read the manual. Made sure everything was level, all water filters are clean and clear of debris and have researched these problems on the Internet. There is no solution. The machine is a lemon, a piece of junk. It has been since Day 1. It is the single biggest waste of money in the 20 years I have owned a home! LG has permanently lost this customer FOR LIFE! If I could leave zero stars, I would.

Would you board an airplane knowing that when its electronics fail, there is no way the passenger door can be unlocked? This is exactly how the WT5070CW LG washer is engineered. Ours died a mere 4 years (!!!) after purchase - its electronic controller died in the middle of a wash cycle and left the brain dead machine with its door locked, with no manual way to unlock it, holding hostage a full load of wet laundry which has been rotting there for ten days, exuding a horrible smell! And, to add insult to injury, here is what happened when we ordered the part from LG (via Sears Parts Direct, order number **) and paid extra for expedited 2-day shipment: after 4 days we were informed that LG has not shipped yet, no reason given (the part should directly from their warehouse to home) and there is no guarantee when it will arrive. This is LG engineering! This is LG customer service!

Like many reviewers before me, my 2.5 year old LG fridge stopped cooling yesterday. I called LG and spoke to CS who instructed me to change the temperature settings from Celsius to Fahrenheit and wait 2 hours, then call back if the fridge isnt cooling. I asked what changing the settings had to do with diagnosing my fridge, and the rep kept instructing me how to change the setting. After much persistence, I finally got the rep to tell me about the Smart ThinQ app ( to diagnose the problem). We downloaded the app, tried the program... only for the answer of the fridge door has been open longer than normal over the last 24 hours... yes of course! Everything is melting, I was transferring my food to coolers! I called again and asked to be transferred to Tech Support... I was put on hold to nowhere. I called a third time and spoke to another rep who found some equipment on the floor that could diagnose the problem. While the fridge did make a tune that the CS rep listened to, the final answer lead to sending out a technician. Now we were faced with: do we pay $299 for a One Rate fix, which guarantees a complete fix for the one rate, or do we pay $80 for a house call and then a variably increasing rate depending on the complexity of the fix. To pay anything for fixing a compressor that has a 10 year warranty is absurd! The fridge is going to the dump today, and my 20 year old KitchenAid which we replaced with the LG is coming back up from the basement! NEVER AGAIN will I purchase ANY LG product! If you havent bought an LG fridge yet, DONT!

BAD WASHER. I had a Frigidaire washer that lasted 15 years without a problem. Then, I purchased the LG top load washing machine. It constantly goes UE (uneven). I have to monitor it, or it refills and waste gallons of water trying to fix the UE . It loses its mind and sets more time, usually 11 minutes, and then it would refill with water again and again. Clothes never spun out completely. I can say this is the worse machine I have ever owned. It goes out of balance so many times during the wash cycle that it takes hours to wash a load. It keeps filling with water trying to rebalance itself, and I ultimately end up stopping it with the clothes still wet because it will not spin them out. LG told me I have to have repair people out 3 times for same issue before they consider replacing it. Still waiting for an “out of stock part”… three weeks. This is unacceptable! I have already told people that I will never buy an LG product.

Purchased LG French Door M/N LMXS30776S/03 during Best Buy Labor Day sale September 2016. Purchased Geek Squad coverage, because, hey $4k fridge, that would suck. Immediately noticed $5/month drop in electric bill. Great start! March 2017 I start hearing noises that werent there for the 1st 6 months. Call up Geek Squad, they send someone out immediately. They diagnose problem as compressor, which they are not allowed to touch. Call up LG. It takes me 5 calls over 2 weeks to get a technician to come out. April 2017 tech diagnoses that the noise is within normal range, no fix available. Early August my daughter starts complaining about warm cheese in her sandwiches. No one else complains in the house. Late August I learn that I had sent my daughter to school with spoiled milk (I informed her before she drank it). Thought maybe it might have been older milk, but I was pretty sure it was fresh. 2nd Monday Sept. I touch a Gatorade that had been frozen and moved to fridge door and it is warm to touch. I take an instant read thermometer and plunge it into various food and drink and measure temperatures of 57, 57, and 51 (drawer) deg. F. Call LG. Am told it will be 3-5 days before I am recontacted by an LG tech. Sept 12. Call Geek Squad and the next day I have someone out who diagnoses that the compressor is not working. Buy ice cream because I thought the freezer was working as it frozen some leftovers on Monday. Alas, the ice cream is pretty much just below melting point. Sept. 13, 2017: Waiting to hear back from both LG and Geek Squad to see what path to take. Geek Squad has been incredibly responsive. LG, not so much.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2007 and purchased all new LG appliances; refrigerator, dishwasher, and electric stove all from Home Depot. The fridge and dishwasher have been trouble free, but the model LG LRE3045/SB stove has been trouble since day one. The touch control panel has intermittently worked. On some days, this group of controls works and these others dont, sometimes nothing at all. Calling LG customer service, we were told to unplug the stove and plug it in after a 10 or more second delay. Sometimes that has restored some functions but never all the functions. Tonight, I have plugged and re-plugged several times, all to try and get the start button to engage. It was no success. I called customer service and was told there was nothing they could do. The unit is out of warranty, even though we have documented this issue with them years before.

This very expensive washing machine will be the first and last appliance I ever purchase. It almost never completes a load of laundry without stopping at least one time and flashing UE, refilling the tub and starting over. It is not like I load the washer with towels on one side and socks on the other, I am not a moron. No matter how hard I try or how big or small the load, I can count on this pile of crap to make what should be an easy task a frustrating one. Dont waste your hard earned money on this or any other LG appliance. If you dont believe me google it.

Just removed our kitchen last year. We brought this microwave in Aug 2017. Only lasted 14 months. One day was heating a biscuit, it started popping smell like wires were burning. Now it doesnt heat. Was told $125.00 just to come out. If it took longer than 15 minute to repair it would be another $65.00 up to $175.00. We decided that buying another brand would be better for us. We will never again buy a LG product. Our other microwave is a GE Profile and is over 7 years old and never had any problems. I wish I would have done a better job checking out LG appliances.

Purchased this machine in 2010 for over $800. I was told it was fabulous. It was - for a few months. But then we noticed that our clothes were no longer smelling clean. In fact they come out smelling worse than when they went in dirty. There is just nothing that can prepare you for getting out of the shower, grabbing a clean towel and experiencing a smell so sour and disgusting, that you feel as though you need to shower again. They told us that we need to maintain our machine every month. What??? Is this a joke? The energy efficient uses less water machine they bragged about - we are now being told we should run 1 to 3 cleaning cycles, with special, expensive chemicals, EVERY month. EVERY MONTH for the life of the machine. I must do this in order to have clean laundry. Am I the only person who finds this absolutely insane??? I now have to take more effort and money every month to maintain my machine, then it actually took to do my laundry with my old machine. If doing my laundry with an LG washer is going to take this much effort... I might as well drag my laundry down to the creek and scrub it on some rocks. That would actually be quicker and more cost effective and, work better!!! I have called customer service (a bunch of foreign speaking people) numerous times. This last time was the last straw. They do not care for your opinion. They speak to you as though you are the problem. When I explained to the guy that the entire area around my bleach cup has completely rusted - guess what - thats right - it is my fault, and no one else on the planet has had this problem. I called knowing that my warranty is long gone but I told him I just wanted to give them feedback from a consumer about how I felt about their product. But, as you already know he doesnt care. He kept telling me to wash out my machine, and that I dont understand how to maintain my machine. I guess judging from the 100s of 1- star reviews, and similar complaints no one else on Earth knows how to do that either. So here is the bottom line. I own a business cleaning resort units. I have dealt with every machine known to man. I have only ever seen one other machine as junkie as this. I will NEVER buy another LG washer. I will go back to old school, agitator... where my clothes are actually coming out clean, and I never, ever, ever had to wash my machine to keep my laundry coming out the way it is suppose to. PS - you will want to avoid the Whirlpool/Maytag (both the same company now) top loaders as well. They are just as big of a nightmare!!

Last year we had an issue with the LG refrigerator. The compressor went out. Then one year later, the compressor went out again. They were trying to charge us to get it fixed when it was a manufacturing issue. They needed to fix it with the corrected part rather than brushing it off and putting the same part back in of a different model. The first tech that came out was terrible. So my husband called and talked to a supervisor. Then the next person that came out was the same guy who came the year before and he knew exactly what the issue was. So after going round and round with LG, they did fix it. That took two weeks and I was not satisfied with that timeframe at all. I was also told that it would probably happen again. So, were looking to get rid of it.

Bought a LG Top Freezer. Very disappointed in it. Every time you open and close frig door, the freezer door seal is broken and air gets in. This causes my meats to get ice formed on them. Had service come out and told us that this is normal. I never had a top freezer before that opens when I close the frig door. They dont tell you this when buying it. Also found the same info about freezer door opening in their manual. So if they know about it, why not fix the problem. Also told new frig will probably only last 5-6 years. Thanks LG. From day 1, my machine leaked. I called and was told it was due to using too much detergent. I thought that may be the problem and used below the normal line every cycle. Still sporadically, there are leaks below the machine. As I called and was told over and over again, my machine is fine. I let my machine go out of warranty. Now beyond leaking, it stops mid-cycle often so I have to sit next to the machine while washing clothes to restart it and finish cycles. Beyond that, sometimes it gets stuck at 9 minutes left and starts spinning and stops spinning over and over again. Beyond that, when it is filling up, the valves close so quickly it causes all the pipes in my house to shake and bang causing leaks in pipes. Something needs to be done about this. LG should stand behind their product.

When I load my laundry into the tub and ask for HOT water, I expect a hot water wash. Never going to happen in this machine. I called technician thinking it could be fixed and was told the default hot temperature is 91 degrees! Thats like taking a COLD shower! Why? Some laundry needs hot water! I tried turning the cold water off and the tub drains! Not only that, I have a window I can watch my clothes through and the clothes on top never do cycle to the bottom or anywhere else. They stay right on top. The drum, clothes & water go right, stops, goes left, stops, agitates very little and repeats the process 3 times. How is that going to clean clothes?! The stains on top of pile never get agitated through the water. I am ready to throw this thing in the garbage because that is exactly what it is! Never another LG product in my house again! I did not know about this site when we purchased our LG products, freestanding double oven electric range, french door refrigerator and washer and dryer. Had the microwave but took it back right away as it was so dark inside and the light very dim. Bought a KitchenAid microwave and previously dishwasher. I have a problem with the self-clean feature of the oven. I have broiled steaks on the quick broil feature. Guess what when you use this feature, the fat will splatter inside the oven. After cooking the steaks I cleaned the oven but the floor of the oven in front of the door did not clean. It looked really baked on and you could not wipe it clean at all. I have the blue enamel oven. I did not touch this area - afraid I would void the warranty so called the executive warranty dept. Spoke with Wendy and she said they should be able to schedule an appt for Friday. Waited for the call but none came so we assumed they would show up on Friday.NO SHOW NO CALL. Called back and Wendy said her computer was down but we did get a response to schedule for the following Friday. Repair guy said it should not have done that either. Called Tech department and they told my husband to put wet paper towels over the area and use the easy clean feature. It did remove the baked on mess so they told us they would not warranty it. I was so madddd!!! I called and spoke with Brenda ** and she told me I didnt need to get an attitude with her. I explained that I am allowed to cook in the oven and that food will splatter (she said splatters are not covered by warranty). The oven has a self-clean feature and of course LG expects food to be splattered why else would you have a self-clean feature? I expect it to work and not to have to clean it first before I use the self-clean feature. The feature cleaned the oven beautifully except the foot and half area in front of the door.I told the rep that I felt it was a seal problem and it wasnt getting hot enough in that particular area to clean the food. She was going to check with her tech and emailed me that it was not covered under warranty. I emailed her back that was unacceptable. I wanted the general managers number and I was going to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney Generals Office. I will not give up. I know they want me to cause our warranty is about up also and if they stall me then they wont have to deal with it. Now I just need to figure out how to contact him but am filing a complaint with both agencies. I did not know about this site before buying our products.

Purchased this unit in Feb. 2011. Eight months later the ice maker quit. LG replaced it. 6 months later it failed again, this time on me. Two months later water supply to ice maker froze and pushed the water line out of the back of the unit, wet floor, ruined ceiling and wall in basement. 4 months later, water solenoid failed in the open position, filled the freezer with water, large block of ice and ruined food. Two weeks ago noticed the freezer was frosting up bad. Found that the freezer fan was not working. Ordered new motor. After being told that this washer was the most top-rated, we decided to make the move to this HE machine to save water. It has the clear top, so we were suspicious from the start with the minimal activity and agitation seen with the impeller system versus our old machine, plus it appeared that some clothes werent even getting wet! But the information we had read told us that all of this was normal. We were shocked at the 1:47 hours to complete a load, but again, we were able to wash twice as much in one load. BUT, a load of heavily soiled Levis from gardening, which would have been no problem with our old machine, came out filthy, even using the Heavy-duty cycle with extra water! TWICE!! This really is not acceptable, but we dont have a lot of faith in trying any other HE machine now either. We are reading bad reviews on pretty much all of them!

She told me a technician would be calling me to set up an appointment. About one hour later a man from some company called me and wanted to know what the problem is. The young woman had told me she would explain to the technician. Anyway I explained it all again. He said This is the problem and started to repeat what I said EXCEPT he wasnt saying what I had the said. I tried three more times to explain the problem. He got angry (actually he wasnt happy when he called), he got me upset as I tried four times to explain the problem. I suggested we make an appointment… he said NO. I dont come out until I understand the problem. He said I will look at the manual and call you back. He did that… Lo and behold he STILL DID NOT UNDERSTAND. I then called LG back. The man (sounded like he was in India) said You have an appointment on the 8th of May. I told I knew nothing about an appointment. He said May I call the person that called you. I said Fine. Have not heard back. A few days ago my older son was at my house. He said Mom, be careful. I was turning on one of the front burners. He must have noticed the large flame. I never told either of my sons about the fact that my clothes have been singed when turning on the front burners. I’ve dealt with LG stuff through the years and the products that I’ve gotten seemed to work very well. Aside from TVs and others, being in the elevator business, I have bought and installed LG elevators, which were good quality products. We got an LG refrigerator and it works well. It keeps the food cool. And when it’s working right, it keeps the ice cream hard, and I like that. I was just having an issue with the food getting warm. Their technician came out within a day and a half and fixed it, but didn’t get it right on the first time. When I told them it wasn’t working, they said they could come the following day, which was a Saturday. I was impressed that they came out even on a weekend. They took care of it early in the morning and got us up and running. So I was really happy. I had a big party planned and the technician got the refrigerator all fixed up before that. It started cooling down really well, and everything was fantastic. The technician was a nice gentleman, and very cooperative. He worked with us. All-around, I was happy with the service that I got from LG. And I would be calling them again if I have any problems with the refrigerator. I’m happy that they have their own service department. A lot of times you get different companies that are servicing the product, and they gotta run to LG to get the parts. The guy we had here is directly connected with LG, so it’s part of their system. And I know, being in the business, that if you’re dealing with the in-house manufacturer, they have better availability of parts and technical support than a middleman. You get a couple of people down this chain, and now you gotta order the parts and it takes longer. But the guy we had was able to come with the parts and then he did the job, and that makes the difference. I would absolutely recommend them.

When my wife and I purchased our LG washer and dryer from Best Buy in highland, Indiana, our sales rep informed us that installers could switch latch and hinge side of doors upon delivery. When our machines were delivered, installer was able to give us a left side hinge, as we desired on our dryer. However, we were informed that washer was not so adaptable. We would need to wait up to two weeks for the correct machine to be delivered. When I contacted Best Buy, they would accept no responsibility for their sales agent giving us incorrect information. After using machines as is for some time now, it is really inconvenient to use with left hinges on both machines. If you choose to ignore this message, you can bet we will never purchase any LG products, and we will not shop at Best Buy in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter. If you are interested in discussing this annoying situation with me, my cell phone number is **.

Bought a supposedly top of the line washer dryer LG Tromm set in 2006. Washer broke down, as it was out of warranty, paid for diagnostic repair from company referred by LG and was quoted more than $1000.00, so decided to buy a newer LG washer model only to find out that installers wont install as the newer models stacking kits will not match the older models. LG has a lot of discontinued products, one of them is this WM2277HS. Parts are not even available. So when one breaks down, it is not repairable, and instead of just replacing just one appliance, you have to buy both the washer and dryer even if the other one is not broken, as none of the current models will match with the older appliance, specially the stackable models. Customer service is very poor, no one seems to know anything. So I suppose, LG in a way make their products not last long enough and then will not have parts available, or repairs will cost more than a new machine.

We have had our LG Microwave for about 2 years, but today it started on fire when I went to re-heat up two slices of pre-cooked bacon. Pretty much as soon as it started, the right side wall started on fire! We opened the door and unplugged it. We are very disappointed with the quality of this microwave, model LMC0975ST. We have purchased two LG refrigerators for homes, two LG televisions and they have all been great, but not the LG microwave. I know this is a new technology, Smart Inverter, LG has claimed to put into these microwaves, so I can only speculate as to whether or not this had anything to do with the fire.

I chose to purchase an LG refrigerator over other brands because this brand had what I was looking for at the time. LG has met my expectations. I would still consider purchasing an LG brand, but I would consider getting a different style. The features that I like most about the refrigerator is that it has a built in freezer, as well as an ice dispenser and water dispenser. I like to be able to have my fridge produce ice rather than going to buy ice or having to make it with a tray. The features that I dislike about the refrigerator is that after a while, the freezer component becomes very noisy when you open it. Another feature that I dislike would be that the ice dispenser becomes very frozen and the ice gets stuck together and I have to break off the ice pieces individually.

You know I expected that LG would be a good company and that if should something happen to my recently purchased LG fridge, that they would provide good service to me. How wrong I was. LG really let me down with not just their product - this new expensive fridge that broke that just after 1 year, but especially with their service. I asked if they could provide a service technician and the only one in my area wont repair the coolant system. So they purposely have the only technician in the Greater Vancouver area not do coolant systems. This seems designed to frustrate customers. They then said they could get another technician a week later who would cost $500 for labor (5 times the other service rate). In the end, I decided to scrap my fairly new fridge and get a KitchenAid fridge because its a better quality product and KitchenAid does right by its customers. LG is a really terrible company and I would recommend staying away from their products if you dont want to go through service hell.

I bought LG washing machine and dryer, model wd-12316rdk, two years back (supposed its 5 years guarantee). In the first year, the main board had burned and I called the agency. (They told me that this model has main default which is this one. So why do you still sell it? I really dont know.) They didnt want to change it then they changed it after pressure from my side. One day later, its burned again then they changed again and now its getting burned for the third time. Three times within two years is really unacceptable. It cost me a lot almost $1000 so I really need to be compensated by a new one or I will raise and file official complaint against your company in front of the Egyptian courts.

I purchased my LG refrigerator in 2015, within one year the ice maker died. This is after they delivered it and set it up wrong and flooded my house doing a significant amount of water damage (weve paid for everything out of pocket). Now two years later, the compressor died. We have been trying since November to find a LG service provider in our area to fix it. Needless to say a month later LG tells us to find our own repairman and they will cover the part. This refrigerator is in my rental property and we had to purchase a second refrigerator for the tenants because its taken LG so much time to look for a service provider. We paid $2950 for the fridge, $200 for the ice maker, $11,000 in damages from the improper hookup, $800 for a second fridge, and now it will be $500 for the repairs (not including the $400 compressor). All these reviews are 100% accurate, stay away from LG products!!!

First my front loading dryer drum cracked. Clothes keep getting stuck in it and they rip. Next, the front loading washing machine is mildew smelling and the rubber seal has got holes in it and water runs into the motor compartment and the door leaks. The tray you put the soap into has broken and soap runs down the outside of the washer. Our clothes get caught in the seal and get ripped. The clothes dont come out clean and sometimes smell. This set is a piece of junk! I will never buy another set of LG products from Home Depot again!

When my ancient Whirlpool washer finally died in the fall of 2012, we decided it was time for an upgrade. My partner found a good deal via a big-box retailer for an LG washer and dryer... good stuff, right? From day one, the dryer has been nothing but an albatross around our necks. Almost immediately it begin to fail after only a few uses. The rather abrupt LG technicians kept stating that our venting system was to blame. We cleaned it carefully and still had problems. Finally, an independent technician suggested we route the vent directly to the outside, which we did. Never mind the built-in vent system worked adequately with our old dryer... Well play the game. Finally, the dryer seemed to work well.Recently, my daughter was preparing to dry her clothes and noted that one of the electrical breakers had flipped due to the dryer activation. We re-flipped the breaker and the dryer was activated but did not dry. Nothing like a little midnight unloading of wet clothes and rigging a temporary clothesline, eh? Of course, we contacted LG and received the standard line Did you check your vent? We did receive a technician referral but of course no service call until Monday, so we experienced a pioneer lifestyle with our clothing needs for the weekend. No real problem, just a hassle. The friendly technician spent approximately five minutes finding the problem, a burned wiring harness. Yep, parts to be ordered and over $300.00 in repairs. The technician remarked that it is wise to stay away from LG, Samsung, and Kenmore appliances as they contain substandard parts. He didnt have to tell me twice. Ill fix this thing, of course. And then Ill go shopping for a good AMERICAN brand like I should have done in the first place. Moral of the story, STAY AWAY FROM LG!

My husband bought me a pair of LG appliances for Christmas of 2014. In March of 2015, we had an issue with the fridge. It took 2 weeks to resolve. In April of 2015, same issue....freezer frosting up, then stopped cooling. It was a compressor problem..shocking. June of 2019 freezer stopped working, next day fridge part quit. 2 days to get a tech (who was wonderful). Tried to say it is a sulfur problem in the water (our water is filtered), then the compressor and now its also the motherboard...all at one time. Trying to get a unit replacement because obviously, the refrigerator is a lemon. I uploaded all the receipts and supporting documents and now I have to wait until JULY 8th!!!! to get this fixed. I am under warranty for at least 6 more years. At this point Id like to be refunded for this obviously defective appliance.

At the time of this writing I am on the phone for an hour and still on hold. I have called all of the companies on the LG service and they refuse to handle any calls with LG-Lousy Garbage, as LG has not been paying them. LG told me to call any appliance service and see if they would come and fix it???? I am ready to eat the $2300.00 and get this garbage out of my house. If I could give a minus in their rating, it would be negative 100. Whatever you do, read all of the bad reviews and buy a dependable appliance. I know I will get an automated response from Lousy Garbage. Lowes is trying to get me a return from LG. I am not holding my breath. I would be dead before this attempt to resolve this issue is dealt with. BUYERS BEWARE- Joe **

Purchased an LG side-by-side refrigerator with door-in-door option (M/N LSXS26366D, S/N 709MRFP09283). The first problem is that the software function occasionally (about every nine months or so) turns off the compressor with no alarming what-so-ever. You have to watch for water on the floor and freezer items starting to thaw. You have to remove power for 15 seconds and then turn it back on to get the system operating again. Nothing in the manual about it. I had to find that out looking at on-line complaints. The final problem is the compressor died 2 years and 10 months into operation (purchased Oct 2017, now Aug 2020). No alarm for that either. Looked the same as the controller failure, but this time resetting several times didnt work. Tragically, you cannot get the door-in-door option anywhere else. Maybe with some luck I can find a repair person that can remove the LG installed Linear Compressor with something more reliable. If the controller is what died (rest of the unit works, just no cold air), then I purchased a very expensive dump decoration.

Brand new $2500 French door refrigerator not cooling or making ice out of the box. LG “support“ made me test it different things for 2 days straight. Just long enough to be past the 2 day return policy at Home Depot. Lost hundreds of dollars in meats and seafood in my freezer. Turns out the main PCB board which is the brains of the refrigerator is defective. I demanded a new refrigerator and have been given the run around from LG for the past week, not to mention rudely spoken to and hung up on several times. Home Depot does not stand behind the product forcing a replacement. Terrible experience with both companies. I have a non working refrigerator and no answers to this day. Buyers beware! When the cycle gets to rinse/spin it produces loud thuds and disturbing noise. The dryer drum is bent, or warped, it has a raised hard plastic that hooks and drags clothing items while the machine is in dry cycle thereby causing threads to pull away from the garments. It has only been 6 months since purchasing the washer and dryer and the extensive damage is deeply disturbing and unacceptable. Meanwhile the company we purchased from is making every effort to avoid responsibility/accountability or remedial action.

I purchased, in good faith, a new LG refrigerator (side by side) for over $2,200. The cooling system began degrading and I lost all contents in the fridge. The worst part of the experience is that LG did not provide support after many calls. I could not even connect with a senior leader in the company - all reps indicated their policy is to not provide contact information of any senior leader. I could not believe this. They did not care that I spent a great deal of money and faith in their product and the product failed and, they would not even stand behind it. Finally, after several weeks, they sent someone to examine it and made some changes. However, within a week, the temp increased back up to about 60 degrees. They would not send someone back out reasonably quickly, so I contacted a repair service. They came out a few months ago and replaced the compressor. All was fine until, once again, the temp began rising; this time over 65 degrees. I have been trying to get hold of someone who can help me at LG at no avail. I do not typically write reviews about products online (unless positive); however, I feel I have some level of responsibility to you and others to suggest you NOT buy an LG product. The product is not dependable and the service is even worse. Unless youre willing to part with a substantial part of your hard-earned money, consider another brand.

I am dealing with the exact same issue that some other customers have reported, and terribly disappointed with LG’s customer support setup. I have a 2-year-old LG refrigerator with manufacturer warranty, and we had paid extra to buy the extended warranty also. The fridge is broken for 8 days now. I agree with other reviewer, how can one do without a fridge for so many days. We also have medical issues in the family, and it’s critical for us to have the fridge to store important health related things. We considered buying a new fridge, but a $1500 fridge is not something we should have to replace in just 2 years! When you call LG’s customer service, they connect you with a company called Puls. Then Puls has local techs to perform the service, which I was eventually informed they have only 2 techs to repair refrigerators in the Dallas area. Additionally, these techs are not able to produce liability insurance that my building requires. It’s hard to comprehend that LG hires tech who do not carry liability insurance! So, I am waiting. No one ever calls me back, after promising they will call with 24 hours with an update. And when I call back, they repeat the same statement… “mam, please understand, we are trying, we will provide an update soon.” It’s 8 days now without any update and timeline for repair! At one time 2-3 days ago, I was also transferred to LG’s customer service escalation supervisors, and honestly, they have been useless! The supervisors also repeated the same thing that “we will escalate, please give us some time and we will get back within 24 hours.” First, I don’t understand that the escalation supervisors need 24 hours to get an update for me and secondly, they never called back. They didn’t do anything, as I am still waiting without any update! This is such a nightmare! Staying away from LG!!

I WAS in love with my new fridge. The 25 cu ft. capacity is just the right size for my family of 5. (We also have a deep chest freezer for handling all the meat, icecream tubs, etc). The dual ice makers really come in handy when the ice maker on the door cannot handle the load. (Its quite small, so in summer months, or with guest over, you run out of ice quickly). It has plenty of space and looks gorgeous. Flash forward 4 months 2 weeks later... compressor goes out. I call LG about this issue... and the frustration begins. The incompetent reps on phone tell me that the reason my fridge is not cooling is because I have the temp setting at 2 degrees instead of at 0 degrees for the freezer, and 37 degrees instead of 35 for the upper portion. Ok, a whole two degrees will make my fridge cool. Then they went on to perform this gimmicky smart diagnoses that the unit is equipped with. She did not want to sent a technician out because the smart dx told her that there was nothing wrong with the fridge. Meanwhile there is water all over my kitchen floor because all the ice was thawing and melting out of the unit. I called on a wed. On a Friday a certified LG tech came out. Told me the compressor is dead and that it would be Monday before he could repair it. So now I have been without a fridge for days, with 3 young children in the house.I have called LG and voiced the fact that this is unacceptable for a 2k fridge. The rep proceeded to tell me I would only have to pay for service call! How is it that when you are still under warranty you have to pay for the service call? The technician shook his head in dismay. He could not believe what he was seeing. I placed the call on speaker for him to listen to the ridiculousness by the rep. After my unit seemed defective, I went online and have read tons of reviews on LG fridges needing major repair within the year, and am afraid I was sold a lemon. I want a replacement or my money back. They have not contacted me. I have called and have been hung up on. I was also hung up on, right in front of the technician! You think you are buying a nice piece from a reputable trustworthy company, and the fact is all the contrary. I am so disappointed.

I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator in December of 2015 from H. H. Gregg (who went bankrupt shortly after my purchase therefore making the extended warranty null and void). Sunday morning September 23, 2018 I woke up to find a puddle in front of the freezer compartment (its a side by side). I opened the freezer to find everything defrosting rapidly. I put everything in the refrigerator side (which seemed cold). Within the day I realized the refrigerator wasnt working either. The next day, September 24th (my birthday) my husband called an appliance service person (Coastal Appliance) who came within the hour. The technician, Mark said it was the linear compressor 134A that failed. He said morally he couldnt fix it because the failure rate on this part is too high and too expensive. After checking on his phone he said the parts and labor would cost approximately $1,000 and it would only fail again at some point. He suggested we purchase another refrigerator not an LG or Samsung as they both use the same compressor. I feel like I was scammed by the LG Refrigerator company. I paid thousands of dollars for this refrigerator and I should be getting more than 2 years and 10 months of service from it.

A few days ago, it stopped making ice and the freezer got warm, but the fridge still worked. I called the helpline and the smart diagnosis feature didnt work. I tried all of their troubleshooting tips but nothing worked. I didnt bother getting an extended warranty because of the trust and goodwill LG had earned with me over the years. Now I have to pay 80 dollars just to have a tech look at it, and even if the parts are covered I could be looking at hundreds more for labor. I waited my whole life to get a water/ice dispensing fridge (45 years) but could never afford one. When my old fridge died in 2016, it was at the same time my stepdad gave us 2000 grand as a gift. We used that money to buy this fridge during a Black Friday sale at Lowes. Not even 3 years later its dead and who knows how much it will cost to fix. Ive never been this disappointed since my Xbox 360 died but Microsoft made it right by sending a new console free of charge. I wonder if LG will be willing to do anything to rectify the situation. If not, I will never buy anything from them ever again, and will never stop being critical of their products and services.

I wish I would have look up reviews before I bought this washing machine. MY CLOTHES DO NOT EVER GET CLEAN! I just washed a load and set it on soak. I just went to put the clothes in the dryer and most of the clothes were DRY! Often times I look in and the water doesnt even cover the clothes. The cycles are hecka long and dont clean. I am so disgusted. THE WORST!

Like the lighting; like the french doors; like the size. Have had problems with ice maker freeze up; frost build up around the door vents that feed the ice maker and most recently a complete failure of the cooling to both refrigerator and freezer compartments. Entire food contents had to be discarded. A major nuisance for a refrigerator with this price tag. Waiting for warranty repair. Will see how that goes.

I purchased the LG french door fridge in the summer of 2016. Since then, the compressor stopped functioning after 2 years. I spoke with LG and they were no help and had to pay to service people to figure it out. This past month weve had an awful smell in our kitchen whose source could not be identified. It was only yesterday we figured out it was emanating from the fridge. We checked online for similar complaints and found someone who located it at the back of the fridge. We had to remove the lower panel and clean out these trays filled with thick yellow residue. The trays do not come out so we had to use chopsticks and an entire pack of clothes to clean it out... This is unacceptable to us and we are at a loss as to what to do with this fridge. STAY CLEAR OF THIS FRIDGE!!!

We purchased a fridge from LG Shoppe on August 8th and its not working from the day it was purchased. The shopkeeper straightly said to go to the company and its not their matter after selling. We logged a complaint in LG Customer Care and today, August 17th, we are sitting without cold water.

Compressor went bad after 11 months. LG replaced the compressor. That one was bad as soon as it was plugged in. Replaced a third time. It has worked for 5 years and stopped cooling again. Been trying for 2 weeks to get someone to come and fix it. 4 bad compressors in 5 years. If youre thinking of buying a refrigerator think other than LG.

My 6-month old microwave, under warranty, stopped working. Attempts to get a locally authorized repair company were unsuccessful. One company didnt come into Maryland, another wouldnt have a technician for two months and the third one only did TVs. Numerous requests for assistance and difficulty understanding people with accents, finally led me to the supervisor who said he would authorize payment of the repair. He did but it took too long for help with people who simply were unable to help. I will never buy another LG product again because of the poor customer service.

This dishwasher (LDF7810ST) quit after 2 years of use - it has never completely cleaned or dried the dishes even though a rinse agent was used. I rinse 3 times before a wash cycle and its still of no use. I had it repaired, but I should have bought another brand. I have also had an LG cellphone which was so annoying in its battery life that I went back to my old trusty Samsung for 2 1/2 yrs to wait out the contract. Life is Good as long as you do not buy LG.
