I purchased 4 of the LG Studio line for my new kitchen. Gas Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher, and refrigerator. 1st use of Dishwasher and it did not clean. Then the items I left in for the next wash, grew BLACK MOLD. There is always moisture in the dishwasher, even day after running it, and I have to leave the door ajar to help it dry. If I shut the door, BLACK MOLD grows. The microwave turntable rattles so loud it can be heard over the normal microwave sounds. The gas stove is often unresponsive. The buttons on the front do not always work and I have had to pull it out from the wall to unplug it and plug it back in to get them to work. It is very random and I have not been able to figure out a pattern of use that causes it to malfunction.I put in 3 service requests to have these repaired. Im entering the 3rd month and they STILL have not been to my home. LG sent this to a 3rd party Vendor AE FACTORY. They have left partial emails telling me to call them and then they do NOT answer their phone. I have spent even more time contacting LG Customer Service, who has done nothing to help. They have no control over their 3rd party repair vendors, and no supervisor will ever get on the phone or call me back. DO yourself a favor, go with a different brand!

I got a floor model LG LSC27925ST. Great deal but it broke in 5 days. They exchanged it. I was happy for 1 month. The compressor broke and it took almost a month right before Thanksgiving. But it was a aftermarket part, I guess okay. One month later, the heater coil broke. I dont trust my refrigerator. They approved the 150 food loss and they took it back. I wish I never bought LG. I will never buy it again. I hope this help someone.

My refrigerator hasn’t worked for almost 3 weeks. When I call them they say they are still looking for someone to fix. They act like they could care less. Very frustrating and disappointing. I have a friend that brought me an old Kenmore he had in his garage and it’s still going strong. After 2 years of me having purchased my LG the ice maker quit. Now 2 years later it quit cooling altogether.

My very expensive new lint trap will not sit flush. It has caused new and old clothes to be ruined. It also causes clothes and sheets to twist making them not dry properly. This is unacceptable. What do I do to remedy this? Is there a recall? Or can the dryer be returned or replaced?

We purchased LG front loading machine 10 years ago. For these 10 years we had 6 repaired done which cost us close to additional $1000. Today was going to be the 7 repair, however we found out that LG stopped offering parts for our model (parts discontinued). When I called LG customer service, instead of them offering solution, I was asked if I need a service to come and take the washer to a junkyard... People do not spent your hard earned money to buy from this company.

I was so happy to get a new washer and dryer after about 10 years with my old set. I purchased the LG large capacity set. The washer was a front load. At first things went well, then little by little I began to notice our clothes came out smelling unclean. Regardless of the detergent, softener, etc, it made no difference. The energy saving, low level of water, simply means your clothes will slosh around in a small amount of dirty water, and then rinse with a small amount of water. There is nothing clean about that! When we sold our home I let the set go with the house, vowing to never purchase a front load HE washer again. The dryer was great.

Error message read - ER/1F on our LG refrigerator (model LFX31925ST) exactly 1 year and 1 month (1 year warranty) after we purchased it. We unplugged unit, then plugged it back in and the message went away. Freezer food was slightly thawing and ice maker wouldnt work. Everything would be fine for a couple months, then same ordeal. 2 years after purchase, we were issued a one time extended courtesy warranty and our local repairman replaced the grill assembly fan. Now we have an annoying, vibrating, noise. We just cant win with this poor purchase ($2200). WILL NEVER RECOMMEND AN LG REFRIGERATOR. We are currently registered in the class action suit.

LG was given to us as a gift when we bought our house. I like the drawers on the inside. They had to come out when it didnt cool or freeze, but everything is working okay since then. It just took forever for someone to finally come to our house, and then it took forever for them to get the part in, and it took them forever to come back again ‘cause I went almost a month without a refrigerator.

I bought an LG refrigerator in 2013 and the warranty for the compressor was 10 years. In 2017 it stopped working and we spent over $700 and 5 months trying to repair it. After 4 months of the repairs it stopped working again and LG wanted to charge again for repairs and never offered to replace the unit. The appliance was a piece of junk and LG was not willing to offer a viable solution. It was a waste of money, time and food! I will never buy another LG appliance again. Terrible service!

I have waited over three months for my order to be filled by LG, I placed my order through an reputable online Dealer. The Dealer was very responsive at first, after the order was filled by LG and I paid in FULL they stopped returning my emails. The order was for a Multi F MAX LGRED System w/ four indoor units. The order was drop shipped by LG but I have not received ANY information from LG, all I have is a product shipped confirmation from the Dealer. So this sale is now in the hands of LG and I have no idea where my product is? Where it shipped from? Or how long I will wait for it? The Holidays approach and that may interfere with accepting any freight without prior arrangement for obvious reasons. I have no idea how to contact LG, or how I would reference my order even if I could contact them.Customer Care with this Company is ridiculously poor, I spent a bunch of money and I am in the Dark on my end. I cant review the product until I get my hands on it. But I can review the Manufacturer and their complete lack of customer Care and communication. I could have purchased something else, I should have, it would be installed by now and I wouldnt be wasting my time writing this out of sheer frustration with LG.

LG refrigerator model LSFD2591ST - Purchased in November of 2013 for $4,500.00. Motherboard failed February 2015. We lost all of our item in both the freezer and the fridge. Absolutely no help from LG as they instructed us that the 12 month warranty had expired. We had the board replaced. Restocked our freezer and fridge only to have the compressor fail two days later. Again lost everything that we had. We went the rest of the month living out of coolers. Today 7-17-15 I get a call from my wife that the fridge is not cooling again! 5 months! Really! I called LG directly and they have instructed me that they will cover the compressor as it is still under warranty but the labor is my responsibility. I will NEVER buy another single thing from LG. JUNK... JUNK... JUNK!

Based on my research, LG seemed to have the highest rating on all of their appliances and they last longer. They seemed to be the best product out there. It has been less than a year since I bought my refrigerator but I have another LG refrigerator. We just purchased the house, and it has one in it. The ice maker is not a very big one though and it just has a little door insert ice maker. So, it does not produce enough ice for us. The refrigerator is not but two years old and it broke. It took about five weeks before it was repaired. Then, my washer took three weeks to be repaired. The washing machine and the refrigerator are two items that you need immediately in a household. I was so dissatisfied. The parts had to be ordered but it’s not so much LG but the people that they use to repair their stuff. It’s something that they need to look into because when they have crappy service, then the product gets a crappy reputation.

This is our 2nd LG dryer same model in 40 days. The same problem has occurred with each one. Dry cuts off and will not cut back on. We purchased it from our local Home Depot which have done everything they can to make right what LG has not. LG should be shut down for making lousy products that fail to work. I feel like the Better Business Bureau should be involved and shut down this company from taking innocent consumers money. My husband and I have missed 3 days from work to meet A&E repair company to work on our dryer. If it werent for the manager at Home Depot, we would have no one to talk with since LG doesnt give a rip. Why does Home Depot continue to carry such a horrible product line? PLEASE...PLEASE, Do not buy LG products. They are a rip off and this dryer may cause your home to catch fire.

After being told that this washer was the most top-rated, we decided to make the move to this HE machine to save water. It has the clear top, so we were suspicious from the start with the minimal activity and agitation seen with the impeller system versus our old machine, plus it appeared that some clothes werent even getting wet! But the information we had read told us that all of this was normal. We were shocked at the 1:47 hours to complete a load, but again, we were able to wash twice as much in one load. BUT, a load of heavily soiled Levis from gardening, which would have been no problem with our old machine, came out filthy, even using the Heavy-duty cycle with extra water! TWICE!! This really is not acceptable, but we dont have a lot of faith in trying any other HE machine now either. We are reading bad reviews on pretty much all of them!

On 10/2008, I purchased an LG LRE30453ST/01 ceramic glass top electric range from Home Depot. On 7/2009, my husband instructed my oldest son to turn on the stove in preparation of us being 5 minutes away. He placed a pot on the stove on the largest eye and set the stove for 3.5 with a little grease inside the pan. My son said that as soon as he did what was instructed and sat down on the couch when he noticed immediate smoke coming from the pot. He looked inside the pan and noticed a ring of fire inside the pan that began to escalate fairly quickly and evacuated himself and my youngest daughter out of the home for their protection. Within five minutes of giving him these instructions we received a call back from him stating that the kitchen was on fire. Fire department came but the fire self-extinguished itself before they were able to take action. The fire caused 8k worth of damage with us paying a 1K deductible. It damaged the cabinets above the stove, the microwave above the stone, and the stove itself which sustained the most damage. The pot was actually not destroyed, but the stove was. The insurance company had no clue how this escalated so quickly so therefore the pot had masked the true natural cause of the fire which was the stove itself. The stove was replaced with the exact same model stove in 2009 and in 4/2014, while I was cooking on the largest eye once again with a cast iron skillet, the bottom of the skillet began to smoke from underneath set with a temperature of 3.5. I noticed the extreme heat coming from the largest eye and attempted to turn it off with no response from the stove to reduce the heat even though the stove read H5 which means a warm status. The heat was so extreme that the other eyes started to read as H5 and they werent even on. The extreme heat from the largest eye also prompted the microwave vent to come on by itself. My kids and myself started to get nervous and tried to power down the stove by turning off the circuit breaker with no response so we had to unplug the stove from the wall. We waited about 5 minutes and attempted to replug the stove and the largest eye came on immediately, flashing red several times, sending out extreme heat so we decided to keep it unplugged. I called LG the next day to find out that a recall was issued in 2012 for my model number. I was completely taken back. The recall stated The burners on the electric ranges can fail to turn off after being switched off or the temperature setting can increase unexpectedly during use, posing burn and fire hazards to consumers. What else do you need? I asked why I was not notified and they said it was on TV and because I did not register the product, I didnt get notified by mail. Im a working professional mom of three, really! I cant believe they said that. They offered to repair the stove I currently have in my home and offered apologies for the fire in 2009. Is there no recourse or responsibility of the manufacturer for damages that occurred to homeowners before the recall. How can this be right. LG is claiming statute of limitations is 3 years but what about the fact that a recall was not issued until 2012. How was my insurance supposed to know that their product was defective when there was no recall in place. How is the consumer supposed to be protected in a case like this. Im not asking for the 8k that my insurance paid out but at least take responsibility for the deductible I had to pay for your fire hazardous product I placed in my home that nearly killed my kids. How can the statute of limitations be set for 3 years when the defect is not found until the recall is issued? PS: I have documentation of everything.

We purchased a side-by-side model. When they delivered the refrigerator, it would not square up; it looked crooked. They said it worked fine and could not take it back. When we noticed it was bulging from the sides and was wider in the middle, that sort of looked like a problem. The drawers would not stay in the grooves. When we called, they said they would get back with us, which they never did. The refrigerator was bought in 2008. Then the water valve for the ice maker went bad. I called to buy a replacement part, but they no longer make that part. So Im out of luck with a $2100 refrigerator that has no ice maker. I cant even sell it for a second refrigerator for the garage sale as a result.I would tell everyone to beware of this company as they are not reliable. I will never purchase another LG product. I hear Electrolux has the best warranty and service department.

We purchased an LG large capacity washer and dryer set 4 years ago. A few months ago, we noticed the so common thump, thump, thump. I looked inside the dryer and noticed the crack in the rear weld of the drum. I contacted LG. It took numerous calls over 3 weeks before I finally got someone who admitted that the drum had a 5 year warranty because of all the broken welds. Why wasnt this recalled? Why in the hell did it take me 3 weeks before someone owned up to this P.O.S. They put me in touch with Tanstel electronics for the repair. Tanstel tells me they will have to order the drum and will call me when it gets in. They say it should be in in about 2 weeks. 3 weeks later, I call Tanstel and am told, Yeah, the drum is sitting here, been here for a while, when do you want us to come out? Are you kidding me, why didnt they call me when it came in???? Tanstel comes out to do the repair, costs $150. The next load we put in, we notice that if the machine says it is finished in 5 minutes. It keeps on doing this. Apparently, when they replaced the drum, they damaged the sensor that tells the machine when the load is dry. Tanstel comes out again, repairs the sensor and leaves. The sensor still isnt quite right but is better than before. It is now a month later, and my drum doesnt turn anymore. I can hear the motor turning and can smell the rubber band that is supposed to turn the drum burning. I have had it!! I will never purchase another LG item again. Please learn from all the complaints on this board. LG doesnt care about customer service! LG doesnt care about repeat business!

I purchased my washer 7/17/2014. On or about 3 weeks ago I noticed a little puddle of water on the floor. I didnt think much about it, then the next day I was washing a load of clothes, and the little puddle became a flood. I called Lowes, Moreno Valley, California where I purchased the machine, and told my salesperson what had happened. he stated, Lets just bring out a new one. That sounded like a good idea since the machine was less than 2 months old. Then I was told, We have to have a tech come out and see what the problem is, before we can do an exchange. Ok, well the tech was scheduled for the next week. I work, so I had to arrange for someone to be at my house for the tech. (in the meantime - Lowes did send out a loaner machine, I have to do laundry. So the tech came out, and because the machine was not hooked up, he said he couldnt do anything and Lowes would have to have someone come and put the washer back in the laundry room. I called and spoke with my salesperson. So now they are going to send another tech out and will have their people come and hook up the washer. The men that came out and took the loaner away and put my washer in the laundry room, managed to put a scratch on the front of my washer. The next day the tech arrives, he tells me there is a hole in the pump, and he will have to order the part. I call Lowes, and am once again told that they will send out a loaner until my washer can be repaired, so here it is Friday 3 weeks later, no washer, and told that Lowes will have someone come out and paint the scratch. First the manager said he would knock of 10% of what I paid for the machine. Is he crazy? I had a new machine, looks like a used one. My complaint is with both LG and Lowes. Both places have given me the runaround, and the worst customer service.

We have a 5 month old refrigerator that has not been cooling since 11/15/2016. A tech named Jerry came on 11/16/2016 and told us that he will need to call a supervisor for assistance moving the refrigerator in order to repair it but he will call us back that afternoon. (By the way, it’s on rollers. My husband and I were able it with no issue and I’m 7 months pregnant.)We did not hear back from Jerry until a week later on 11/21/2016 even after multiple voicemails. When we called customer service for assistance because we couldnt reach the tech we were told that there was nothing they could do until the following Monday. We went all weekend without a refrigerator and had to throw out ALL of our food. When a different tech finally showed up on Tuesday 11/22/2016 we were told it would be another week (after Thanksgiving) before repairs could be done. Now we have to wait until 11/28/2016 (please remember that the refrigerator stopped working on 11/15/2016).In the meantime I have no way of storing milk for my two-year old whos been eating fast food every day because we have no way of keeping food cold. I called and spoke with corporate supervisor LeeAnn who was extremely unhelpful and rude. She told me I’d just have to wait a week and didn’t offer any solutions or to help us a bit. From the second she came on the phone, she was argumentative and acted as if I was inconveniencing her. We’ve had to call all of our family and cancel Thanksgiving. I understand that it’s Thanksgiving week and that getting someone out to repair the refrigerator might be an issue; however, we actually called the issue in a week before Thanksgiving. If something had been done then we wouldn’t be in the predicament!

We purchased a LG washing machine from Lowe’s on May 31, 2014. About the second time we used it the clothes were slopping wet but some of the clothes had dry spots on them (both using detergent and fabric softener and without using any as weve had to wash each load 3 times or more to get the washer through a cycle). Lowe’s was nice enough to replace that washing machine with another one just like it. Lowe’s delivered and set up the new LG washing machine within a few days. The very first time we used the new LG washer it was the same problem. Also we got an E6 - clutch error message to unplug and call repairman. Lowe’s had a repairman out but they cant find anything wrong. Calling LG and was informed some needed a new control board (why?? these are brand new machines and why are they selling the machines knowing certain serial numbers have problems)?? We dont have any children at home nor do we do heavy loads nor do we have real dirty greasy clothes. Lowe’s pretty much said weve had this newest machine 8 days and they cant do anything (had it 3 days before using it). LG advised we have to have 3 different service techs out. The first tech said he would check on the parts and call us back but that was 3 days ago and we havent heard from him. We called today and was advised they dont know if the parts were ordered or not as the secretary is out until Monday. Believe me we are slamming LG and are not happy with them at all. Service tech also advised us since its LG it will take longer to get the parts in and this repair might or might not work. Its like let’s try this and let’s try that and maybe something will help. But having two brand new LG washing machines within two weeks and they are both doing the same thing... LG has a problem and looks like its not getting fixed! We are very unhappy and wished we didnt purchased LG - the reviews are totally wrong!

Our LG gas dryer quit drying. The motor would run and the drum would turn. Also, air came out the vent but no heat. We called Sears Service and they came out. The technician took the dryer apart and after a few minutes discovered that close to the burner is a resettable thermostat all hidden underneath and of course, nothing in the manual mentioning a resettable part. Good design would have made that something the owner could find and reset. (Were not all idiots.) The manual, which is best described as poor pidgin English. We have had a great deal of trouble getting clothes completely dry. I am disappointed in the quality of a machine which was very expensive.

Bought this machine in 2011 from Conns. We never had a problem, but the only thing was where the bleach dispenser it started rusting and I would just clean it. I did buy warranty, but before it expired I called to tell them about the rust. Conns said that is a manufacture problem, they only repair. So I didnt renew it. Now the tub makes horrible noise when washing rinsing. And clothes comes out soggy. I called LG yesterday, I thought maybe they could do the Smart Diagnostic and let me know what machine needs. They said if they did the diagnostic it would mess up the machine?? For them to send a Tech out it will cost $414 with one year maintenance or $302 for 60 day warranty. Glass on oven door exploded into a million pieces from one end of the kitchen to the other end. Oven was not nor had it been recently used. Happened on Languet l, January and last use was Thanksgiving. Cook top is used every day. Fortunately no one was in the kitchen or standing in front of stove at the time. They would have been injuries. Called LG service and they didnt know why this would have happened and wasnt under warranty as stove was manufactured May 08. Also, when used at Thanksgiving, turkey was under cooked as oven would come up to set temp but wouldnt hold for more then 10 minutes. Cooked an 18 lb thawed turkey for over 6 hours and still not done. This stove came with the house when we purchased. Dec 13. Cook top is impossible to keep clean. Must be cleaned every time it is used. Would never purchase an LG product nor a stove with a glass cook top or a glass front panel again.

My son and I felt ill to discover a knob was slightly turned putting out gas. A slight brush against the knobs is all it takes. I get up all night scared someone has brushed against that stove and I would not recommend this product because of this safety hazard. Otherwise I love all my LG products. The most awesome refrigerator ever. I like the side by design. The look is very clean and attractive. It is great to have ice and not need to fill an ice tray. The slim style holds a lot of food like to get water from the door. This makes me thing to drink more water every time I pass by. The last several refrigerators ended with a wet mess on the food or frozen drinks. This fridge has done none of that. I like the organization of the food. There is ample room for all the items include milk in the door. We purchased the fridge because of the inner volume.

Our new TV has 2 service calls the last one they had to take it and put in a whole new inside. My side by side refrigerator that was only 5 years old has died, force to buy a new one side french doors, one door the left side already is getting stuck? Have to make sure it is closed and yet I have no grand kids in our home that since we have none. So really is this bad luck or bad product? No lie if I had to do it all do over Kenmore. Can someone help me with this. And yes I did buy the EXTRA WARRANTY. So whats next?

After installing a new LG gas dryer the dryer ran fine but there was no heat. I called LG and they said a service person would call within 48 hours. The first contact from a repair person was 3 weeks later, not 48 hours. When I declined the service (I had already paid a local service person to do the work) the LG service person on the phone was quite insistent about why I did not want service at that point and refused to accept that fact that their huge delay in time was the problem..

We purchased this microwave in 2018, along with the matching refrigerator, dishwasher, and double oven. Spent a small fortune to buy them for our new kitchen. Our kitchen remodel was delayed so the microwave wasn’t opened until just recently. It was opened and installed professionally. During its first use I could hear what sounded like a fan, come to a grinding halt. We called LG and were told that because it’s out of warranty we would have to take it to an authorized repair shop (but would most likely have to pay for the repair ourselves). The nearest shop is about an hour away, and that’s after we take it down from the wall/cabinets. Then we are expected to reinstall it. I’m beyond overwhelmed and deeply disappointed.

This refrigerator has been nothing but aggravation. We have had problems with the freezer fa, replaced several times. Ice forming inside the refrigerator left side, food freezing in the left crisper and continuous significant noise like a motor boat. This grinding subsides for a few days, then starts again. The latest problem caused the refrigerator to stop working completely. It has been almost three weeks and it is still not operational. Service is horrendous. Overnight parts do not arrive on time. Only one technician in the area. Parts needed are ordered one at a time, extending down time, rather than sent together to shorten repair time. The most frustrating issue is the difficulty of reaching anyone without being re-routed several times, then dropping the line after 45 minutes to one hour.

I thought I had the worst refrigerator experience ever until I read the other reviews of my LG French-door refrigerator. The following is a list of problems most of which occurred within the first year we owned it. There were so many that we didnt call for replacements under the warranty, which we should have done, but we really needed a whole new fridge and we never would have gotten one from them. The door seals dont work properly, so we have to check to see that the doors are shut. You cant open one door without the other opening! The produce bin, which is made of flimsy plastic, cracked and broke so that it wont slide on the track. The ice-maker takes forever to make ice. The water dispenser on door never worked properly. The plastic rim of shelves became loose and was about to fall off. The fridge light overheated and burned and melted the top of the fridge and the light bulb sockets (Im told a lot of LG refrigerators have this problem). The plastic cover over the light never snapped properly into place and we had to use duct tape to hold it on. It eventually warped from too much heat from the bulbs.I did extensive research online to find a French-door fridge that would fit into the space we have. We didnt have many choices and I paid $2200 for the LG fridge. I should have read the reviews first. I will never buy an LG product again and I have told all my friends not to.

We purchased an LG range and it was delivered on Dec. 14th. When I tried to convection/bake something at 225 degrees, it automatically went to 300 degrees. I tried putting a lower temperature in and the same thing happened, jumped right to 300 degrees. I called customer service and they told me that it needed to be serviced and set up a technician to come out on the following Tuesday. When the technicians came out (who were very unprofessional and unskilled), They replaced the main electronics panel. The oven still did the same thing. They called technical support at LG and the technician did not know why it did not fix the problem. He went to LGs test kitchen and found that all ovens of this model only convect at 300 degrees or higher. After speaking to a manager, LG informed me that there is nothing they can do and couldnt tell me if they have any oven brands that convection/bake below 300 degrees. The manager actually hung up on me and did not transfer me to anyone who could give me this information. My question is..... has anyone had this problem with LG ovens. Do other brands convection/bake below 300 degrees? We had a Hamilton beach countertop convection oven that would cook at lower temperatures. Is this just a feature on full size ranges?

Our wait times are 30 minutes at least to get through to customer service. Today we were told they would not replace the machine until a technician deems it unrepairable. I chose to purchase my LG refrigerator because I got it on clearance at a ridiculously low price at Lowes. I believe I only paid about 400 dollars for the fridge. The original price was over 1000 dollars. I found that to be too good of a deal to pass up. It had enough of the features I wanted at a price point I found attractive. I liked many features of my LG refrigerator. The first thing I liked about it was the color. It was my first stainless steel refrigerator. I also liked that it had side-by-side doors and the fridge was on top. It was cool at the time. I did not like that it needed a special water filter that was extremely expensive. I also grew to dislike the quality of stainless steel it was made from. It was too prone to smudging and the steel itself was too bright. I prefer a brushed or gunmetal finish to my stainless steel.

I’ve dealt with LG stuff through the years and the products that I’ve gotten seemed to work very well. Aside from TVs and others, being in the elevator business, I have bought and installed LG elevators, which were good quality products. We got an LG refrigerator and it works well. It keeps the food cool. And when it’s working right, it keeps the ice cream hard, and I like that. I was just having an issue with the food getting warm. Their technician came out within a day and a half and fixed it, but didn’t get it right on the first time. When I told them it wasn’t working, they said they could come the following day, which was a Saturday. I was impressed that they came out even on a weekend. They took care of it early in the morning and got us up and running. So I was really happy. I had a big party planned and the technician got the refrigerator all fixed up before that. It started cooling down really well, and everything was fantastic. The technician was a nice gentleman, and very cooperative. He worked with us. All-around, I was happy with the service that I got from LG. And I would be calling them again if I have any problems with the refrigerator. I’m happy that they have their own service department. A lot of times you get different companies that are servicing the product, and they gotta run to LG to get the parts. The guy we had here is directly connected with LG, so it’s part of their system. And I know, being in the business, that if you’re dealing with the in-house manufacturer, they have better availability of parts and technical support than a middleman. You get a couple of people down this chain, and now you gotta order the parts and it takes longer. But the guy we had was able to come with the parts and then he did the job, and that makes the difference. I would absolutely recommend them.

Bought this with a stove and refrigerator. My biggest mistake was not returning it immediately. The third rack was a pain in the neck because you could not fit glasses in the middle rack, and when you try to adjust the rack it collapses and holds nothing in place. The collapsing racks are poorly designed - have proven to be a nightmare. They will not lock in and they keep collapsing when you load dishes and cups into the washer. The very top rack which was to hold the thin knives, and serving utensils will not stay connected to the side attachments and things you load here disconnect and fall into the main compartment to be fished out of the lowest rack. They have proven to be a great disappointment. Sometimes you have to fight the soap dispenser to get it to close. The whole design is an abomination and if I hadnt just purchased it a year ago I would throw it out. What were your thinking LG in the design of this monstrosity?

We bought a brand new LG double after all my family told me how well they are. FYI parents and sister have only had theirs for a couple years so they are just lucky so far. Good thing I bought the warranty from the store however after spending 1600 dollars I cant believe it is malfunctioning. Currently top oven will not hold temperature when you pre set it to a certain degree. At 400 it warms up but as soon as the little tune goes off the oven shuts itself down and completely cools off. The lower oven has the exact opposite issue and heated up to a very dangerous 550 degrees via my thermometer when I pre set it to three hundred and fifty degrees to bake cookies. I had to unplug the oven as I could not get the temperature to stop rising. I have children and currently puppies in the house. I could have had a very bad accident. I cannot believe that LG would sell these faulty products that are downright DANGEROUS. I am currently waiting 2 weeks for a certified repairman unable to plug it in and cook for my family as I am scared the oven below me will explode or worse. After reading the reviews I am not very hopeful for the future of the range as it seems that even if I do get it repaired I will have issues... I should have realized this after my new dryer fried out after 6 months but I let it go thinking it was just a one off factory defect. The dryer and washer both LG are currently working but it seems we are going to throw away 4500 dollars total between all 3 and warranty plans and I guess we will start saving up for Whirlpool appliances. Please if anyone out there is reading this considering an LG... DONT make the same mistake I did! The old adage of you get what you pay for does not hold with LG appliances... you can save money and get better!

We bought a beautiful looking top loading LG washer and dryer from Sears in Eureka, California in September 2011 for our second home in Humboldt County. We didnt purchase an extended warranty - although looking back, we should have done so. Because the appliances are installed in a second home (to this date, April 2013), they have been used about 12 times total.Suddenly, during a visit to this second home in mid-February, the dryer quit drying; there was no heat at all. We did the trouble-shooting with LG Customer Service to no avail. Then we contacted Sears to arrange for a repair. We returned to the home at the end of March, and the repairman came to the house. His analysis showed that the heating element needs to be replaced, which he had to order. As the repairman was leaving, he told us that he is about the only one in the area who will tackle fixing LG appliances because they are so poorly made. He mentioned that our washer is probably on a recall list. Sure enough, the washer - Serial Number (WT5001CW) is on the LG recall list. So now, I am attempting to make sure that the only repairman in the whole area who will touch LG appliances is prepared and scheduled to come to our second home when we can schedule ourselves to be there and can fix both appliances! It is hard to believe that these appliances are so poorly made, that they both are broken after having been used a handful of times! They look great but apparently are pieces of crap; and they cost a lot of money. What is the matter with these corporations and their quality control? Do these people really think I will ever buy another LG appliance again? And is it really worth the (certainly temporary) health of their bottom line to continue to sell these shoddy products? And what else do disgruntled customers do? They tell everyone they know about their negative experience with these products. Shame on LG!

There is one setting, Sports wear, that has no features associated with it which seems like a bug. You choose it, and there are zero settings. No temp, speed, spin etc. They are just blank. We just purchased a LG 24 CU foot french door refrigerator which was returned 4 days after we started using it. This refrigerator was advertised as having gallon container storage in the door. Wrong. Unless you wanted to turn your gallon of milk on its side to try and fit it into the opening provided. With much rearranging we finally did manage to fit a gallon in the door but had to not use one of the shelves provided to make that work. Then we noticed on about the third day (it takes about 2-3 days for the refrigerator to start making ice) that even overnight we were only getting about 1 1/2 cups of ice cubes. We could make two drinks and be out of ice. They advertise that the ice maker being in the door frees up more freezer room when in fact the container that holds the ice is very, very small and the shelves below the ice maker are nearly useless. The final straw was the water dispenser. Look very closely at where the water comes out of the dispenser. It is an engineering nightmare. Overall we felt like the design of the LG frig was far inferior to many of the other brands. Our recommendation would be either the Whirlpool or the Samsung.

This washer is a POS. The stinky clothes comes from it being too stingy on the water. Yes, its supposed to conserve water but if I dont want my clothes to stink then I have to run 2 extra rinses with each wash and then run a Rinse and Spin cycle once that is done. The problem is that these washers dont use enough water to rinse all the soap out, leaving some soap on the clothing fibers... which causes them to stink and stink worse once you start sweating in them. It sounds odd but the excess soap is actually getting funky in the clothes causing them to smell. Give it a try. Im going to sell my front loader for one that doesnt care about using less water. Id rather smell like Im clean than save water.

The warranty doesnt pay for your food that you have to buy every day and then what you have to refill your refrigerator and freezer, they only give you a minimum amount of money to refill up your refrigerator and freezer again. Expensive warranty for five years is not going to be enough. I think you need at least 5 years to make it 10 years on my freezer and refrigerator. Good luck...

After 5 years of normal use, the oven in my LG LRE30955ST electric range stopped working (cut off during use). I paid the LG technician $260 in March 2013 to fix it. After 1 month, it started to malfunction, but the malfunction was sporadic. Two months after the repair, the oven started running up to maximum temperature during use and burning whatever was in the oven. I called LG and they sent out the same technician. He changed all control boards and relay boards. He tested the oven and said it now works. I tried to use the oven a couple of days later and it would not turn on. I did a reset. This happened a few times so I did not trust to use the oven. Then on July 4th, I cooked ribs on the grill and turned the oven to warm to keep the ribs warm. The oven ran out of control, but I discovered the smoking oven before the ribs were ruined. I called LG and they argued with me for 1 hour before agreeing to send a technician out to look at the problem. They wanted to troubleshoot it over the phone... You know, the normal BS... is it plugged in, are the oven racks properly placed, did you turn it on properly, etc. The kind of things that makes you angry. LG has a recall on this model, but they say my problem is not related to the recall. They will have to charge me again for fixing the problem. Anyway, long story short... dont buy LG appliances. They are poorly designed and they are poorly supported. The tech is coming out again, but I doubt that it will be properly fixed. I expect that I will toss my 5-year-old, $1,500 range in the trash and buy a different brand.

LG IS AN OUTFIT TO AVOID. Home Depot, where we purchased this junk should also be avoided. No one home to help a dissatisfied customer no matter how right one may be. Im sure Ill end up in small claims court.

I called a service man he cant fix. Model DLEX5101W. I paid $898.00 for each of these appliances. I have the receipt if necessary, I can fax it.

I purchased a top load wave balance from Home Depot in November 2001 and waited for delivery until January 2002. Within two years of delivery, I noticed that the bleach dispenser had started to corrode around the plastic cup. The dispenser has now corroded to the point that it is laying on the wall of the agitator and dropping rust into the loads of clothes that I wash. I contacted LG headquarters and was told that since my warranty had expired I needed to contact a repair person at my own expense for repair. No explanation was given as to why the dispenser would corrode and start to drop.I previously had a Maytag washer that lasted 20 years with only minor repairs at the end. I am very disgusted with LGs customer satisfaction policy and Ive bought my first and last LG product. I guess in the 21st century customer service does not matter to big corporations. They just want your money and once they could care less. Ive got many single women friends and I will definitely discourage them from buying anything from LG.

I always thought LG was an awesome brand. Two year after purchasing my beautiful fridge it stops cooling. I now have lost all my food in freezer and fridge right before Christmas so it was packed and unfortunately the repair cannot be made till after Christmas and perhaps after the New Year. I am without fridge and freezer till parts come in.....When I called LG and spoke with someone about what was going on I was offered a 200 credit and I wasnt sure what that was all about but now I understand what is going on. I hardly think think that is compensation enough for food and time without a fridge. Not sure I will ever purchase LG again. Actually quite sure I wont.

We purchased a LG side by side refrigerator 3 weeks ago from Home Depot. This morning water started pouring out of the ice maker! It flooded our kitchen and dining room before we could get the water shut off. We have spent the rest of the day on the phone with Home Depot first and then LG customer service. On hold for approximately 2 hours total. Bad customer service and for $1700 bad refrigerator. Last word was they were trying to find someone to come out. It should only take them 3 days. Meantime all the food in my freezer had water poured on it. Now its frozen. Its a mess. I will never purchase another LG product!

Women want a dependable, easy to use, easy to clean stove. My LG stove is the absolute best! I drink a lot of tea and my tea kettle heats up nicely and the HS light is very convenient so you know not where to touch. And the oven is a dream! I THOUGHT I did proper research on dependability, etc., but boy was I wrong. After one week of use, the circuit board on the front-load washer went out. I called LG and the (2) reps I spoke with spoke VERY broken English, gave me a case # and told me to call a local appliance service for repair. That service took 10 days to get to my house, looked at it for less than 5 minutes, was rude and asked what we expected him to do as we had the units stacked (appropriately per the manual), said he needed to order a circuit board and would be back in touch. A week later, no word, I called the service facility and they now scheduled for yet another week out - three to four weeks for a repair? We previously had Maytag and Whirlpool front loads, left them at houses we sold, and are sooo sorry we didnt go back - LOVED our previous units, especially the Maytags, and it was local, English-speaking service. RUN AWAY FROM THE LG DISPLAYS...

We purchased our LG Tromm 3 years ago. The first thing that happened was the boot on the opening that the door fits into ripped. It was replaced with a generic part because LG apparently stopped making the original boot. The repair person, recommended by LG, came and installed the new boot and it didnt fit properly. After he left, we did a load of wash and all the water drained onto the laundry room floor and down into our finished basement. They came back with another boot, apologized but did nothing about the water damage and the second boot worked. The moldy smell is nonstop. We do a monthly bleach tub clean and have used the pucks you can buy to clean front-loading washers, but nothing works. I wipe out the fold in the boot constantly because gunk accumulates in it. I drain the washer from the little hose in the compartment at the bottom often and clean out the trap. My clothes smell awful. Im not sure on what to do with a 3-year old washing machine that makes my clothes worse smelling than before they were washed.

Dont buy an LG refrigerator! I paid too much attention to the breakdown of the refrigerator, and it has been a month and a half since it broke, but it is still the same. I used it so far with a 20% discount on the LMXS28626S in June 2018. When I opened the freezer around the end of January this year, everything was melted. I called the LG Customer Center and changed the compressor on February 10, and it broke two days after fixing it. I called the repairman who came last time and came in a hurry. After checking, he said that he couldnt fix it.. There was a leak somewhere inside, but he couldnt find it. He contacted the repair center and said they would fix it. There was no contact even after waiting. When I called the customer center, they said that I had to talk to a repairman at the site, and that he would send the repairman again. And 10 days later, I finally got the case number... When I called the customer service center a few days later, I used it for almost 3 years, so I subtracted what I used and gave a refund. I got a 20% discount, so I couldnt buy the same refrigerator with that money, so I asked for a full refund if I would give it a refund. He said there was no such thing in company regulations. I would use the refrigerator for more than 10 years if it wasnt broken. What does it mean for you to make such a product, and the consumer will suffer the loss?? They tell me to clean up the broken refrigerator. Its not in company rules... Your company lost more customers because of me.

I purchased this from Sears. Its made by LG for Sears. Its a side-by-side since it was the only refrigerator that would fit within the dimensions of the opening of our cabinets. It was only a few months after purchasing that I found my kitchen floor flooded with water. The ice maker water feed line was installed by Sears. There was a defect in the refrigerator that caused the ice maker to freeze and blow water out of the water line from the back of the refrigerator causing flooding. I have a wood floor in the kitchen and the wood became warped and lifted both under and in front of the refrigerator. Sears came to repair and the repairman caused a short circuit in the electronics board and the whole refrigerator went dark. We had to wait for that part to be ordered. So we had no refrigerator for days and a wood floor that was destroyed. To make a long story short, the correct part was installed and the refrigerator in working condition again but it took weeks and a lot of documentation and correspondence between myself, Sears and the LG headquarters in order to determine who was at fault and who would be responsible for replacement of the floor. It was a very frustrating and maddening time. One other thing about the LG refrigerator, I noticed a few months ago that the paint on the handles is peeling off and soft. Theres a lot peeled already and a lot with long scratches from fingernails reaching for the handle. I dont know how to fix it to make it look less ugly and dont want to have to deal with either Sears or LG over this.

Its out of warranty with LG, but still has extended warranty with Best Buy.Best Buy has been here already 4 times and put 2 parts in. Now theyre playing with the refrigerator temp on the door, trying to adjust the temperature and testing my milk with this temp gauge. Since they lower the temperature, my ice maker is not working right. I had enough with this refrigerator, and I wasnt even supposed to get an LG. We purchased an LG lsxs26326s side by side refrigerator (as well as a microwave, oven & dishwasher as we remodeled our kitchen) in April 2015. On Dec 16, 2016 it had stopped cooling. Fortunately, we have a 20+ yr old Kenmore in the basement we were able to move all the food to. Had our own repairman come out Sunday to see what the problem was. Determined the compressor in our ONE AND A HALF YEAR OLD refrigerator had gone out. Now, this part has a TEN YEAR warranty through LG (hm, maybe that should have told us something) HOWEVER, only the PART is covered NOT labor. Sunday night I call LG Service and after a very long and frustrating discussion with someone who barely spoke English, I was informed a Letter of Authorization would be sent by email to our repairman so he could order the part. I requested a rush on that letter as it was a week until Christmas & we had family coming from out of town. Monday, no letter. Tuesday, still no letter. I call again Tuesday night and am informed they tried calling the repairman and got no answer or return call (I know this is a lie as I spoke with them that day to confirm contact from LG). At this point, I demand to have the matter escalated and to speak to a manager. I get put on hold for a while and FINALLY get a manager, whom I might add speaks English clearly (YAY). She proceeds to tell me something completely different than I was told by the previous two reps. Stating they have to talk to the tech while they are at the refrigerator and able to guide them through what to check. THEN, once diagnosed as the compressor the letter of authorization would be sent so the tech could order the part, which would take 3-5 DAYS to receive!!!Now, I am getting angry. She tells me they had available techs on the 20th, 21st & that day (22nd) so I could have just had their tech come out and diagnose it and they would have had the compressor the next day. I told her there was no way in hell I was paying THEIR techs an arm & a leg to fix the refrigerator I purchased a YEAR & HALF ago when my guy was only charging me $60/hr!!! Her response was simply OH. Finally, she send the letter of authorization by email while still on the phone with me. Wednesday morning, I call my tech & they have the email (THANK GOD). They order the part. Thankfully, it comes on Thursday and our guy comes out that evening to replace it. Now, a month later, we are having problems with the ice maker not making ice. UGH!!! I wish we would have just gone with different appliances. I will NEVER EVER EVER purchase another LG product. Purchasing these appliances has literally been a nightmare. They should have paid us to take them for what we have been through with all these appliances!

Lg really needs to improve quality. I have experienced only junk coming from LG. Lg stove, broken after 3 years of use. Should not need a $300 gas valve And an ignitor $100, already! I am a service tech. Lg microwave exhaust fan does not reach 400 cfm (needed for gas stove) and goes slower when microwave is turned on. Junk! Air flow meter only reads up to 260 cfm with a transition to direct airflow through meter. Refrigerator, you have to open both doors to open crisper drawers.Very poor design! How about someone actually try to clean this fridge...what a joke! Takes almost a day to break down fridge to clean. Fire that designer, probably couldn’t design a way out of a paper bag. Lg ductless split ac. Again just junk! Poor design. I will be sharing my experiences with the garbage your company is putting out. Not a happy lg user, Richard. Lg gas stove, lg fridge, lg microwave exhaust and experienced lg ductless split. JUST DON’T BUY LG! Parts are waaay too expensive! Also not readily available! Too many issue in design to mention for fridge. Gas stove is very poorly designed. Very cheap. These products just feel CHEAP! And they are cheap, cheap, cheap products! Our washer (LGWM2301H) was purchased 3.5 years ago. Recently, it developed a grinding sound that was amplified when spinning. A repairman charged me $80 to tell me that the bearings were going and, OF COURSE, that particular problem was not covered under the warranty (whatever the hell is), and that the repair would cost more than $500.My husband and I are both a little shy of 70 years young and do just a few loads a week. Also, we have used numerous AMERICAN-made washers in our lives that never broke down but just were replaced due to age. This expensive LG was a treat for my retirement; my husband wanted me to have the BEST. Well, as it turned out, we bought the BEST of the Asian junk market or wherever this jewel was conceived - LG has taken care not to provide that information. It has been hauled away today and been replaced by an ALL AMERICAN-MADE MAYTAG top loader. The downside of this is that LG screwed us out of $800. (I could have had my laundry sent out for that amount.) But the upside is that, hopefully, LG will continue to put out junk and screw itself out of the market with the rest of the junk producers. It is refreshing to know that the MAYTAG IS ONCE AGAIN COMPLETELY MADE IN AMERICA, BY AMERICANS - WITH COPPER WIRING AND NO ALUMINUM JUNK . Go for it, LG. I can only hope that you will continue digging your own grave.

I purchased an LG top load washing machine and have been completely unsatisfied since the day I bought it. My clothes suddenly smell. I was told that is because on newer machines the drain is closer to the clothes, if that makes sense. The drain pump has broken twice. It is not a part that is in stock, so we often have to wait for the part to get it before the machine can be fixed. It also has the off balance problem that many have already mentioned. It is hard to get it balanced. Obviously, this washing machine has a defect with the drain. They should take responsibility and replace it, but are not willing. I bought a refrigerator with an LG compressor in it in September of 2016. Two days ago it stopped working. I looked at the warranty, parts are covered for 1 year and the compressor is covered for 10 years. After I had a tech out to look at the problem the total cost to repair the fridge was $850 which included a free compressor that was covered under the warranty. The issue was all of the other parts that were damaged by the oil leaking out of the faulty compressor are not covered under the parts warranty. This is a total scam by LG who made inferior products. The tech told me the replacement would be the compressor that just broke and I would be back in the same spot 2-3 years from now. Does LG think 2-3 year for a refrigerator is a normal life span??

Updated on 05/22/2020: Our refrigerator died on May 8th and now 15 DAYS LATER we still do not have a resolution from LG. I just tried calling the latest number they gave us to call puts you on hold for 10 minutes and then hangs up on you. I have wasted 40 minutes so far trying to talk to a person. I am on medication that suppresses my immune system which makes my in an at risk category for COVID. We were trying to limit our trip out during this time but now my husband has to do daily shopping because we have no frig - putting me at more risk. This is all absolutely UNACCEPTABLE to have a company have no regard for an essential item like a refrigerator and the impact that has on your daily life when you dont have one.Original Review: We purchased a new LG Refrigerator in March of 2018 on night Thursday, May 7th the refrigerator completely died. To add insult to injury, my husband has just gotten groceries that day, so the frig and the freezer were fully stocked, and we lost almost everything. We contacted LG first thing Friday morning and had to leave a message with a call back number. They never called us back, so on Saturday morning, we called again, and this time spoke with a person who only told us that it seems that the linear compressor has failed and she would put in a request for a local service provider to contact us.It is now Monday, May 11th, and we still have not been contacted by a service provider. During this time of COVID-19 we are trying very hard to only go to the store once a week for essentials. This is next to impossible now that we are living out of an ice chest and a tiny dorm/beverage refrigerator that we have in our entertainment room. After doing some research online, I discovered that the linear compressor failing after about 2 years is extremely common and that LG has known about the problem since 2014 but continues to manufacture and sell these faulty products. We also talked to a local appliance repair company, and they will NOT service LG refrigerators. They did not feel right about installing the new linear compressors in peoples refrigerators because it is the exact same part (the linear compressor), and it just ends up failing again. They did not want their companies reputation ruined by LGs faulty parts. So here we are, no refrigerator and no service. I am beyond disappointed LG. We spent close to $3000 on this refrigerator, and my husband is currently out of a job, so we do not have any money to have to buy a new refrigerator right now.

Bought LG washer and dryer just over 6 years ago. Had no problems till today when the dryer started to thump. I am a retired millwright-machinist and have repaired washers and dryers as part of my job for years in a large hospital. I took the dryer apart to discover the drum was cracked on the welded seam. My extended warranty ran out in March. Called the Warranty Department at LG and was told they never heard of such a thing and could not help me (I did tell them that there were hundreds of similar complaints on the internet). Called the local service company and was told a service call would be about $300 plus parts. They couldnt understand I already had it apart.I called another company and was told that I could buy a new drum for $133.58 but the drum was back east and it would take several weeks to have it shipped here, so I will weld the drum for now and order it at a later date. Not happy. The washer has performed O.K. but has a funky smell if you keep the door shut. We wash and dry about 4 loads per week so its not abused. Will not buy another LG.
