We are in the middle of an LG refrigerator nightmare! I am so upset I dont even know what to do next. We have been without a refrigerator for over a month now with no end in sight. The supervisor at LG was so rude and disrespectful and eventually hung up on me. We have a 3 yr old French door model. Started with the ice maker not working, then the entire unit stopped cooling. LGs certified repair person came out, did absolutely nothing except pull fridge from wall and broke something in the process so now its even worse. LG wont even admit this repair service is on their list!!! Apparently, there is also a bulletin on my model for the Grill Fan Assembly. The repair person said I needed to call LG myself and ask them to send me the part that was under warranty. Called LG, they basically laughed at me and said but your refrigerator is not showing the correct code for that part. REALLY??? It was showing the correct code before the fridge got worse. They both need to be sued! I completely give up. What can we do???

This range is a major fire hazard! I cannot believe it has not already been recalled. The slightest brush up against the knobs will accidentally turn them on. Weve already had one small fire as a result. It terrifies me! In addition to this, the oven is suddenly not heating evenly and its only two years old. We are having someone look at it ASAP. I regret this purchase and would strongly advise consumers to STAY AWAY FROM THIS APPLIANCE.

LG High Efficiency Front load Dryer - I read through the complaints and have the same problem as many others. The only difference is my issue didnt happen right away. Ive had it a few years and recently it started making loud noises. I do OK with simple home repair so I opened the unit and found that the barrel was warped from a huge crack in the back seam that I couldnt see from the inside. Also over the agitators inside machine will start to develop a gap inside the barrel causing cloths to get stuck and twisted up ruining them. They also will trap change and other small items inside the agitators then make that noise as well. Why we cant have the old american made products again? Miss that.

I have had an LRG30357ST range for almost 4 years now. All of the knobs have cracked at the base and now we had a gas leak from the burners because they wont shut off all the way. I have contacted LG and they wont do anything because I cant find a copy of the receipt from 4 years ago. You would think that having the stove should be enough proof that it was purchased! Now we are out of a stove until I spend $400 on 5 knobs or buy a new stove! You would think with all of the complaints and the safety factor, they would have a recall and replace the cheap knobs with one that have a metal base. They charge $73.52 plus tax and shipping for each replacement knob on www.LG.com. For that price, they should be able to make one out of stainless steel and not plastic.

Remodel kitchen, replaced all appliances with LG top of line Stainless items. Within a few months the knobs start melting, after LG repairman visited a few times and attempted to repair the stove to no avail. I got the run around after contacting Home Depot where I purchased the items, the manager got involved and the range was replaced. The problem continued with the second range. I did get a couple set and then LG stated they would send one more set, now that that set has melted I just cant afford the high cost of another set of control knobs. Its really sad that you invest so much money buying someone products and they pretty much NOT worth the time you spend researching for the best products. These company makes Billions but do not care if their products are a value or if the consumers got a fair shake out of the deal!

In 2015 I bought all my LG appliances just to get to the 4 yr with them when all came apart. Just in this yr my microwave stop working, my stove supposed to be fitting 5 pots, it only fits 3 on it. My wall oven broke as well, but my worse nightmare is the experience I’m going through with my refrigerator, a MODEL: LMXS30776S/01. This refrigerator has stop cooling and making ice 3 times this yr, between April and November. I called the warranty company and they throw the ball to LG, LG keep sending this A&E Factory service to work on this refrigerator and for the second time in this month they supposedly fixed and leave saying that it would take 24 hrs for the fridge to cool again, 24 hrs passed and The fridge still not working.LG customer service keep say that they can’t replace the unit until the technician writes in his report that the unit is unrepairable. Meanwhile they have the customer without a fridge for almost a month. Christmas is around the corner and this is becoming a nightmare. All I keep hearing from the technician is that this is happening a lot with LG Appliances and LG stead of replacing or reimburse the money prefers to keep expending money paying to service companies.

As per other reviewers, this Dishwasher does not clean dishes even after running through a two-hour cycle. Have had a repair person out to inspect and cannot find the problem - just doesnt do the job. He commented that he has numerous other complaints that this product does not clean dishes. Neighbors also have the same product and are not satisfied with its performance. Come on LG - own up and do something to rectify a) the problem with the cleaning cycle and b) the length of time to clean, and c) how do we fix the problem without it costing MORE!

LG over the oven microwave LMV1680WW - We purchased this microwave in 2010. It has functioned properly (as far as we can tell), but the front door has cracked at the lower hinge and at the bottom of the handle. I contacted LG and was given the runaround. They took my info but said no one would contact me since it was not a mechanical failure. This is about the poorest service I have ever received. Unless I can see a better response, there will never be any more LG anythings in my household.

We bought an LG microwave in April 2012. Today, March 23, 2013, it has stopped working and appears to have no power going to it. I called LG and was told that since it is a microwave, I will have to drive it to one of LGs repair facilities. The closest one is 40 minutes from my home and only open M-F, which means that I will have to miss work to take it and pick it back up. I will never buy another LG product.

Purchased the stainless steel LG WM 2233H model about 6 years ago. After a couple of years, we noticed a rank smell with every wash. Nothing changes the smell: we drain the stagnant stinky water every 3 loads, tub clean with bleach every 2 weeks, wipe down the interior rubber ring and leave the door open after every wash. A terribly designed product that we would NEVER have purchased had we known the amount of energy spent to maintain it. Buyer beware!! See attached pics of mold inside the detergent dispenser area.

At Thanksgiving our LG refrigerator and freezer stopped working. We bought it new a few years ago and loved its design and size. It was a lot of money for us but we splurged. We called the company we bought it from and they told us to call LG service direct. We could not get any response when calling LG so just decided to get a tech to look at it. Took him a week to get back to us because of the holidays. He told us the sealed freon system was broken and the compressor was toast and he could not do the repair. He charged us for the visit and left. He said it would cost a lot of money to fix - So we tried to contact another service company to fix it. The only one we could find to work on our fridge is a couple of hours away and we have to take the refrigerator to them. It is very heavy and taking it down a flight of stairs is pretty scary and we really dont want to transport it. We called LG again trying to get a service tech to come out to our home to fix it but cant get through to anyone. At this point we are probably going to buy another brand as we have been without a fridge for weeks. If LG wants our business please answer your phones!

I contacted Home Depot where I purchased it and they told me that after 3 events for the same reason, it should be replaced. I contacted LG, they told me that that’s not the case, that it is up to the technician to tell LG that it cant be fixed. What? Dont buy LG. I purchased an LG front load washer WM2277HS 6-8 years ago. Yes it has been a good machine, but now has to be thrown in the trash as the display assembly board which runs the product is no longer available! Part # 6871ER 2708A WHAT? I have tried everywhere to get a part or substitute part with no luck. I had a technician come from Sears who ordered the wrong part which fit the unit but the wiring jacket was different.I tried to order that part again today, (6 months later) thinking I could rewire the part myself. SHOCK! That part was no longer available as well. In fact there was a long list of Display Assembly Boards no longer available for LG products! The technician I talked to stated that LG was notorious for this problem! Sorry LG. Your customer service rely that things go wrong with electronic equipment from time to time is a lame excuse! I have no problem with it having an issue. I do have a problem with not being able to get replacement parts! Pitiful! CONSUMER BEWARE!

I chose an LG refrigerator because they have a really good reputation and it was recommended by my family and friends and the brand has been around for years. I like how high tech the refrigerator is and the control panels are great as well. They are really stylish as well. I really like these fridges a lot. Plus a lot of my family members have them. I think the fridges are fine how they are however if we could work on the pricing a little bit that would be good. I dont like the fact that you have to pay so much for them though they could lower the pricing a little for sure. Just give us some discounts and coupons and everything would be great.

I guess I should feel lucky. My $2200 LG refrigerator lasted 3.25 years. Reading all of the other reviews it appears the average is 2.5 years. LG states the life expectancy is 20 years. If they truly believed that, why doesnt the compressor have a 20 year warranty. Its baseless marketing, My dead refrigerator has been standing in my kitchen Since July of 2019. Consumers settled a class action suit against LG, but LG still has not done a thing to resolve my issues except send me a generic e-mail referring to their website. LG responds to these reviews, stating this is not a normal customer experience.LG fought a class action suit, lost, and had an appeal dismissed on their faulty compressor issues. LG will get sued when someone dies from a knob being turned on accidentally. I’m surprised it hasn’t already happened. It happens all the time. Especially when friends/family are over. How could LG think was a good design? Was there no testing? Were they 3 feet tall? Also the burner disc discolor and never clean up. The super burner stains on the silver and you can’t get it clean. Bought this and the microwave you can’t see into without a stool. And it’s still hard to see in. LG, you dropped the ball here, learn from those mistakes. NOT recommended.

In late June 2017 I purchased the fridge (LG 620L french door - GF-B620PL) from The Good Guys - Brighton and it was delivered late September 2017. First Service - the door of the fridge did not close well and when it did it did very loudly. The serviceman said it was a part was missing from the door. Did not hear for a while so got in touch and said it needed to be ordered. Second Service- (serviceman Steve) - initially said did not need part but then changed his mind and said it did. He sent a message saying part was not available and that fridge did not need part (even both said did). Door still banging closed. Third Service - Freezer section was icing. Man came out and said the drawer rollers needed replacing as door of freezer did not close well and that temperature was too high Put down to 13. Fourth Service - Came back and replaced rollers. Fifth Service - All food in the freezer section had melted (thrown out). Asked why did not alert as was told if door nearly closed there is no alert. He also said temperature was too low and put it up to 18 and that we should check fridge regularly. I am very disappointed with LG service as we get mixed messages and I only got this fridge because reviews were good. I understand that there could be a bad apple in the millions made and can accept and asked to get replacement but response has not great. I have been very patient, I did not ask or claim for damaged food and accept that bad apples exist but I am not happy with the service and response I have been getting. LG customer service did reply and were abrupt and said they were happy what they did and that was it. No apology or was I happy! (Must of missed customer service lesson 101!) NEVER LG AGAIN!

I was told the linear compressor was a good reason to make this purchase. It was not and is a good reason not to buy LG refrigerators. They indicate a 10 year warranty on the compressor but fail to disclose you have to pay for the labor. I am now living out of an ice chest for the second time in 10 months. My advice to LG you know you sold a defective product, do the honorable and right thing and repair or replace at no charge. Our LG dishwasher has never (since the day we had it installed) cleaned our dishes or dried them. I first noticed that after carefully rinsing all residue off my dishes, they still were dirty after running them through the normal cleaning cycle. I then washed my dishes and started using the power scrub feature every time and noticed the dishes had either food or soap reside on them and were never hot or dry after the washer stopped. I have to pre-wash everything I put into it and wipe off the soap afterward even though I use Jet-Dry. My dishes are barely warm when the 2-hour power scrub cycle is finished. I called LG support and after several questions, I realized that the customer service rep was going through a checklist in order to troubleshoot the root cause of the problem. She asked if I had cleaned the unit by the manual instructions to make sure there was no food debris clogging (YES). She asked if I used the proper detergent and if my washer actually had power to it (Yes and yes). She asked if I used the power scrub feature. She wanted to know if my dishwasher was connected to my garbage disposal? She said I had to check the line to make sure it was clear, but she told me that there was no way for me to do that other than looking at the line - REALLY? She told me that I obviously needed a technician to come out for the price of $85.00 to diagnose and probably more than $250.00 for parts and labor. She also told me that I could not talk to a technician or anyone else other than her over the phone.Weve had nothing but trouble from our LG refrigerator as well - having had to replace the water line 4 TIMES before the fridge actually stopped working and then had to pay LG for a new motherboard. I will NEVER again buy another LG appliance. Customer service is POOR at best and appliance functionality is a joke.

We purchased an LG Dryer one week ago and have not been able to use the dryer from day 1. We plugged in the dryer and immediately received a shock. We plugged it into the same 220v outlet that our previous dryer used and never received a shock. We called hhgregg to ask for help and were directed to call LG for service. They gave us the name of a local appliance repair store, who we called. We set up an appointment and later confirmed that they would come out. But they called the LG Company and we were told that our problem was our homes electrical system, and they couldnt do anything to help us. We cannot use an appliance that has an electrical problem and gives shocks whenever you touch it. We are returning the dryer because they refuse to help us and say its our fault. Purchased in late 2011 as part of a range, fridge, microwave, dishwasher package deal from appliance warehouse. This is the third time Ive had to call for service and pay $60 charge each time on my homeowners warranty policy. The usual problem is burners that dont turn on and in the past, only a few would go out at a time, leaving me a workable burner or two. This time all are out and now the broiler is also down -- only the oven is working now. One service tech said the cables inside the panel were loose. How that happened, I don’t know because the range doesnt get jostled or moved around a lot. Another complaint within the first six months of purchase is an inside drip between the oven door double paned glass but Ive lived with ugly mess because the service tech couldnt fix it without taking the entire range to the shop for a week. But wait -- theres more LG product problems! The side-by-side door fridge problems have also cost me three service calls ($60 each). The icemaker frequently goes on strike for several months at a time and then on its own starts working again. Of course, this renders the ice dispenser constipated and totally useless. The cold water dispenser has the opposite problem and is often incontinent it keeps spewing water for several seconds after the drinking glass is removed.I believe LG must stand for Least Good and the range model number LRE30453ST must stand for Least Reliable Electric ** Stoves Terrible. I will never again purchase another LG appliance and recommend that other buyers also shop for another brand.

LG model no. WT4870CW dropped off this morning brand new. After delivery, delivery guy set up and did the programmed test run. This checks if water is supplied, if it vibrates excessively or drains. I even made comment that it was so quiet...well when agitator is not doing its job, its super quiet. After trying different cycles and settings and after motor started to smell like it was burning rubber, I called home depot. The sales man gave me a lesson in how much detergent to put in, reasons why clothes arent getting clean, and told me to unplug it, wait 3 minutes, then try again. After explaining Im 30 and know how to do laundry, I explained again about water filling up in wash cycle and agitator not working. He said he would call LG and have a new one out to us IN A WEEK. After already waiting a week and half for first new washer, still blows my mind when a sales person does not apologize for the inconvenience or broken machine THEY sold.Im under no impression LG will stop making worthless machines for a ton of money, but listen up all the peeps in customer service, KINDNESS GOES A LONG WAY. SAY YOURE SORRY. DONT MAKE EXCUSES OR GET DEFENSIVE. Does the machine not working say something about you? Or is it your ego that needs to blame the customer by default? Some customers are rude but others are just like you trying to do their best to figure out a solution to the small and big obstacles they face. If you cant at least say sorry or be respectful...think about finding another job that fits you better. LG fail and Home Depot fail. Pretty disappointed.

In May 2016, we purchased an LG set of kitchen appliances through Costco. We have had nothing but trouble with all of these appliances. The most egregious is the refrigerator. The compressor failed in March, 2019 (note, the fridge was less than 3 years old). According to our user manual, the warranty for the compressor was for 5 years parts but we would have to pay for labor. We contacted the number in the booklet for warranty service using the number listed for using the Smart Diagnosis service. After a very long round-robin of talking to one person after another, I finally was put through to a Smart Diagnosis technician. After many attempts to use the smart phone smart diagnosis, the tech said that it wasnt working (no surprise there. Has it ever worked on any LG appliance?)I finally called a local servicer who sent out a technician. He diagnosed the failed compressor and said he would obtain the part for us per warranty but we would have to pay the labor ($855.00) ourselves as it was not covered under the warranty. The serviceman was very negative about LG and even suggested we would be better off just buying a new refrigerator from another manufacturer. We decided to repair this one so he ordered the part and said he would call when it was in.In the meantime, my husband is researching LG appliances and discovers that LG extended the warranty to include the compressor part AND the labor for the first 5 years of the appliance. We were never notified by LG that a change was made to the warranty. When the repairman called with the part, we had him go ahead and install it. We had been without a refrigerator for a week by that time.We then called LG to attempt to get the $855 back from LG that we paid for the labor. I thought this would be easy. HAH. It is now two months later. I have talked with many different people, sent documentation twice, and all I am told is the reimbursement is under review... Thank goodness we purchased the refrigerator through Costco because the Costco Concierge service has been a great help by contacting LG directly for me. So far, LG is stalling them as well. I will post again if I ever see my $855 again. In the meantime, please do yourself a favor and NEVER buy any LG appliance!!

LG is an improvement over our last Amana refrigerator. This is mainly due to its larger size and being 20 years newer. Modern accents such as LED lights are a plus but they are located in the front and it does not light up the rear of the refrigerator. Should have lights in the back of the unit. Overall very satisfied. only had unit two weeks so cannot comment on longevity.

I purchased an LG dishwasher 6 years ago, in which time I have 4 service calls. This appliance was expensive and the repairs to date have included failure on the insulation (overheating), error messages causing the machine to stop, a leak, and most recently the machine smelled of burning electrical and has now completely shut down. I purchased extended warranties to cover the repairs, but the inconveniences Ive experienced and the nature of the failures of this product are not justifiable for a dishwasher in this price range and of its age.

I’m really shocked at the lack of customer service that I have received from LG. I placed my order a month ago and I have made 4 calls to LG plus 3 calls to XPO and it’s obvious that no one cares whether I receive my order or not. When a customer places an order why is it my responsibility to ensure I get my order? It should be your responsibility to ensure the customer gets their order once you accept payment. I own an LG refrigerator, LG over the stove microwave, LG range and LG television. I was planning purchasing an LG dishwasher but I’m probably going to switch brands at this point.

I have had my LG front loading washer for about 2 years. It has ruined all of my white pants by staining them with gray marks. It leaves a simple line of gray up to 6 inches long various places all over my pants. In contacting the company I was told to do the tub cleaning more often. I have found that this grease collects right inside the door around the seal. I have cleaned it out regularly but alas my white pants came out ruined again. I felt that I had researched this product quite well before purchasing. I am very disappointed and feel stuck with a washer that ruins my clothes. I am not in a position to purchase another unit nor purchase more clothes. I would not recommend this brand ever.

For years my Whirlpool washer produced a really bad smell, but customer service denied everything. Finally the front loader flooded my house creating over $50k in damages... We moved on to LG products (EVERYTHING IN THE HOUSE IS LG). Hmmm!!! Stove top, had to be exchanged within days. Fridge in the process of exchanging (full refund after almost 5 yrs). Washer was bad from the very first week but they always denied everything in regards to why it continuously goes out of balance. MY water bill went up 4X because of this out of balance issue. They refuse to do anything about it, but its not over!!!I will continue to post how bad their customer service and appliances are, until they at least replace or repair it... The spin cycle is violent and shakes the house so bad it sounds like it will explode. Customer service did not want to hear it from the very start. Lowes where we purchased the unit refer me back to LG and LG referred back to Lowes. Just a game they play to stall everything. Customer service is horrible, they only have one line “Sorry we can’t help with that”. They refuse to accept they have a really bad design and it can cause harm!!! Unless they replace or repair my unit, I will never ever buy another LG product again...

Today while using ice dispenser, the control panel started beeping then whole unit lost power. Checked plug in and it had power. Only the refrigerator would not work. This is a known issue with LG, yet they do not want to help. Luckily I have homeowners insurance that will take care of my $3,500 bad purchase!

Meanwhile my 8 months LG dryer broke. I couldnt go with the same experience. I decided to pay out of pocket, 300$ later. The dryer broke 1 week later. I just spoke to an LG supervisor who said that she didnt get any parts order. I am literally crying... Worst customer service. Terrible appliance!

This is by far the worst dishwasher Ive ever owned and was the most expensive one! The tines constantly collapse and allow the dishes to tip over. The soap dispenser door is tricky to get closed. Sometimes it wont dispense at all. If the door does come open usually only half the soap is dispensed. It doesnt clean anything. We practically wash every dish before loading, and when you go to unload, half are still dirty. The upper rack will not hold any sized glass or cup well. They constantly tip over. This dishwasher has broke more glassware than you can imagine. The lower rack doesnt want to roll in and out without coming off the track. I hate this dishwasher.

Our story starts with a happy purchase of an LG Refrigerator (LGXS24623) at Home Depot in September 2018 that was supposed to arrive in about 6 weeks. It never got to us, we called Home Depot to inquire and they said, “Oh sorry, it’s lost, we’ll see what we can do, it will take another couple of weeks”. Long story short, we received our fancy new fridge. We connected, set it up and after about 4 hours we opened the door and it wasn’t cold. We changed the temperature a bit and waited a bit more, but nothing changed. It was warmer in the fridge than in the kitchen. Time to call LG… Long phone call, more waiting, nothing, fridge still warm. It was a useless service, they were not able to help. Called LG again in the morning, on Sunday. They booked a server technician for Thursday or Friday which meant 5 more days with no fridge. They also asked for some paperwork which we scanned and sent the same night. Thursday, I receive a voicemail from the technician that he has no paperwork from LG and he’s tentatively setting up a visit for Saturday afternoon. Called LG, had more discussions on the phone, they promised to give an answer in the same day… I did not hear from them again. On Friday I finally managed to get in touch with the technician, who promised to come Saturday between 3-5. He finally showed up at 5:45, I guess they are very busy fixing LG’s faulty fridges, to tell us the compressor is dead and left to order a new compressor. We will not be ordering from LG in the future, the fridge reviews are good, I cannot tell you anything about that since mine never worked, but the LG service is the worst you can find. They never saw a problem in letting a customer live without a fridge for weeks, one service agent had the audacity to tell us he grew up without a fridge… I wonder if this is in their protocol.

We purchased an LG top load washer and dryer set on 1/25/2012. It just completely stopped working mid-cycle yesterday, 08/06/2012, locking both pairs of my sons shoes in there. Today is the first day of school and he had to borrow a friends pair of shoes. But it gets worse when I called LG when this happened. She gave me numbers of two service people in my area, or so she thought. I called them both and they do not service my area. There is no one that services my area. I called LG back, they said they would call me back when they get a resolution and that could take 5-6 business days. I have 2 pairs of $100.00 shoes in a washer and cannot get them out. By the time I do get them out, they will probably be ruined. I should not be experiencing this problem with what I consider a brand new washer and dryer. I have 3 children and another due in 6 weeks, and my raging hormones are raging!

Called an appliance repair service that works on LG appliances on 12-10-15 because Dryers drum has a thumping sound and dryer shuts off after about 30 min of drying with a burning smell. And will not restart until the next day. Thought it was all due to the thumping. And the lint vent needing cleaned. Found out the drum had a crack in it because of a faulty weld. And the burning smell is coming from the electrical board in the controls. I was told it was out of warranty so I have to buy a new dryer. I will never ever buy an LG brand again.

Purchased model LMXC2346 on 1/2017 with extended warranty. On 8/2019 refrigerator failed due to compressor defect. Refrigerator would not stay cool resulting in food spoilage and only $130 reimbursed from LG. On Sat. 6/27/20 (during a global pandemic) woke up to water all over brand new wooden floor, hot refrigerator/freezer, this time resulting in food, insulin medication spoilage from the same compressor defect. Service technicians are inundated with similar LG compressor issues; 1st technician said would take 15 days to order/replace compressor and deal with LG warranty dept, 2nd LG technician refused ticket stating 15 customers were before me resulting in 30 day wait for replacement part. Been on the hold for avg 12 hrs with at least 10 reps resulting from vicious cycle of transfers and hang-ups. Latest was on 7/6/20 Steven (Executive Supervisor) from Executive Service Team confirmation conversation # ** who stated LG policy for alternative resolution wait time were at 4-6 weeks for someone to call me back to discuss pro-rated buyback option. Since LG was unable to find a technician within their allotted time frame of 5 days by 7/4 I now have to wait until 8/3 for someone from their Alternate Resolutions Department to discuss next steps. If this wasnt a slap in the face I am being asked to keep the defective refrigerator in my house even though I have requested the rep to get a LG technician to come and pick it up since I cannot wait to purchase a new refrigerator for my family and still store a non-working one in my house. I was told LG requires that we keep the refrigerator regardless of the amount of time it takes for them to resolve the issue and that he cannot send anyone to pick up although we are responsible for ensuring it is in our possession in case LG wants it back! In addition, I find it unfathomable that my family will have to incur the additional cost and hardship of having to purchase a new refrigerator because LG has taken ZERO accountability for their defective product and their incompetent practices and policies of having a customer wait up to 6 weeks to even discuss a pro-rated buy back since we clearly will never buy or recommend an LG product again. They are unreasonable and unwilling to work with you the Client although they are well aware that there is a Class Action lawsuit against them for this very same issue! Buyer beware... please learn from our mistake!

We purchased a French door LG refrigerator in Mar 2016. It was delivered and installed in Aug 2016. On Jun 15, 2018 the compressor went out. After an hour on the phone with LG customer service and contacting 12 different LG authorized repair people, none offered Saturday service. We finally found a local guy, willing to work on an LG refrigerator (MANY appliance repair people state on the home page of their website that they DO NOT SERVICE LG REFRIGERATORS or their outgoing VM gives this information). Within seconds of having the freezer torn apart, he confirmed that the compressor was out. We then spent the next two weeks, while on vacation, speaking with LG customer service and the repair person to TRY to get action towards a compressor replacement part before we got home. We arrived home to no compressor part and after ANOTHER call to LG customer service, found out that our claim had inexplicably been closed! WTH? I then barfed all over the LG USA Electronics Facebook page when the social media rep was able to get more information than 7 calls over two weeks with LG customer service had yielded. LG offered to pay for the part and the labor. Problem is NO LOCAL REPAIR PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO WORK WITH LG because they PAY SO LITTLE and this job will apparently take ALL DAY. So LG recommends this repair person who is an HOUR AWAY. It has now been two more weeks (yes, a whole month without a refrigerator or freezer in the heat of California summer) and STILL NO CALL that our repair is imminent. So today we call LG Customer Service again to find out the parts were delivered to the authorized LG repair person on Friday, July 13th and it is our responsibility to work it out with the repair person. To say that I am FURIOUS is an understatement. I want LG refrigerators BANNED from sale in California because of faulty manufacturing and beyond horrific customer service. LG is committing fraud. We did our research before buying this refrigerator. LG refrigerators received favorable reviews. BUT NOT SINCE WE BOUGHT OURS. LG apparently made a good product when the manufacturing was in S Korea or Mexico. Since moving their manufacturing to China, however, we are in the MAJORITY of people complaining about the shoddy piece of junk LG refrigerators now are. I want our refrigerator repaired so I can get rid of it and purchase a quality KitchenAid or Whirlpool refrigerator. WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING LG AGAIN AFTER THIS EXPERIENCE!!!

We purchased an LG Fridge for our condo in 2007. We had a problem with it in September 2014. Because it is at our condo out of town there is no LG repair staff anywhere near. The local repair companies are not allowed to purchase parts and in spite of it being off warranty my own attempts to purchase the parts myself were denied. My only option was bring it into the city to have it repaired. I ended up buying a brand new fridge that was definitely not LG but was a brand that is locally serviced. Based on this poor service experience I would highly recommend against ever making any type of LG purchases.

I am very disappointed with LG product. I have had a broken refrigerator since December 25, 2018. The first time a technician from LG had come to fix it was December 30th. The technician has been coming back every week since then and it is still not fixed. Its only been 17 months since Ive purchased this refrigerator and it has not been working properly for more than two months. I bought it on July 4, 2017. The first repair was on 10/30/17, the second on 03/23/18, and the third on 05/15/18. Now I dont have working refrigerator again. I need someone to take action or I am going to take legal measures. This seems like an issue not just I but many other customers have had and the issue is still not being resolved. Not only is this a time consuming process but also a financial loss. Since not having a fridge for over a month, we havent been able to buy store food and only take out. This not only takes even more money out of my pocket but requires me to take time off work because of all the appointments. Not only is the fridge not working but the last time a technician came on January 25, 2019 he scratched the fridge and left a black burn mark. I am so frustrated and disappointed with not only a product but the services. I would really just like my money back so that I can buy a new, scratch free, and working fridge. I have attached the pictures of the damage.

I picked up 2 LG stainless steel above range microwaves that were both used
I picked up 2 LG stainless steel above range microwaves that were both used, very attractive looking models, 1 was purchased 1 week before the other from different places and they both have the exact same cracked door. The door cracks on the side by the handle just below the arm that locks in place exits the frame. This has to be happening to every single one made since I got 2 in 2 weeks. For all of those who picked out all brand new LG products for their choice of appliances I have to ask if they would have chosen them if the name was Gold Star? Remember that terrible low quality manufacturer from the 1990s that made complete junk? Well its the same company that changed their name around 2000 to LG! How about that! Did you know this? Of course you didnt or you never would have considered LG for anything especially to be your brand for all your major appliances. Sometimes you need to research companies before you buy them. New names like Samsung, LG, Daewoo, Funia, Symphony, Orion, Oritron, iHome, Emerson, Visio, Trutech, Durabrand, Insignia, etc... All have some background, while some of these brands may make 1 or 2 good items, Funia is 1 of the largest manufacturers of all products made in China (kinda like a Mitsubishi or Sony in their own right) that actually makes products for dozens of companies including Sony and a long list of their own sub-companies plus for their own brand name as well. You would be surprised to know just how many other brands they provide parts for. Yet most would pick a Samsung over Funai any day of the week, just to pay more for something thats probably not even better or maybe even inferior to a Funai brand item.Funai has been around forever like Matsushita, Nakamichi, Sony, Yamaha, Mitsubishi, Matsubara, Akia, Awai, Nippon, JVC, and other Asian companies who have all made good stuff at one time but their parent companies have changed as the names are sold to larger conglomerates who names are never shown on their products. Most recently Samsung bought out the Harmon Group which has been making top notch audio gear for generations. Infinity, JBL, Harmon Kardon, Crown and others will no longer be what they once were, this happened 2 years ago and if you havent noticed yet these companies are not winning any high praise from the groups that once held them as top in their field. This is why its important to know who really makes the stuff you buy. Samsung is a maker of junk, plain and simple. They bought Harmon to try and get their foot in the door on car audio electronics and have really no other interest in continuing making high end audio, they will try to phase them out and apply their own brand name audio which will follow along their same disposable electronics junk they have shown to make in the past. You will see nothing impressive coming from them, all flash and bells and whistles. More plastic molded stuff like theyre used to making and they will market it for those who will fall for it. Looks definitely arent everything when it come to electronics, but many will learn the hard way. As most who bought LG did!

The knobs on my NEW THREE MONTH OLD stove are so touchie I’ve turned them on without even knowing, and have it catch on fire on my glass top and burned myself trying to put it out. This was on 7/21/18. I called the company and emailed SEVERAL times. Getting told, they will get back to me even after I told them how dangerous the knobs are and it happens all the time. I told them I’m scared children or adults can seriously be burned. Then I sent them pictures and kept getting the runaround because I didn’t need to go to the emergency room they said. (I was not trying to sue them) just let them know how dangerous it is. I now have permanent fire damage on my three month old glass stove top. I asked if they could fix it and the phone supervisor (accidentally) hung up on me when I called back with my case number. They said they have no record of me calling at all. And have not seen the faxed pictures they told me to send. Then today 12/7/18 same thing happened and once again. This time a big fire we had to put out. Now my pretty glass top stove looks terrible but lucky no major fire damage - just a terrible looking stove. The sad thing is I have LG stove, microwave, refrigerator, washer and dryer. I bought my LG cabinet model French Door with see through cooler and it was delivered December 10, 2018. Since owning, the compressor has been replaced, the computer board replaced and now it is totally dead as there are bad circuits in the electrical housing based on a LG repairman’s assessment. The unit is now in the garage and I had to purchase another new unit. I bought this unit from Best Buy but with the warranty from the manufacturer I did not buy their product insurance policy.I lost three refrigerator full groceries due to malfunctions on three different occasions. The company sent out repair folks, and parts took as long as two to four weeks to appear. We were storing food in purchased coolers and finally bought a small freezer whilst waiting for help or replacement products from LG. It might get fixed and work for three months then would go out of whack. I’d call LG. Repair person would show within a week. This guy would order a part (compressor or board). Wait two more weeks. Fixed but back it would be within a few months and break again. But the latest episode was a matter of days before it went down again. I need to get action and do not know who to call. This product died after one and a half years.

We join the ranks of U.S. consumers writing to bring awareness of the fact that LG is not supporting their warranty for refrigerators that have cooling failure. After working with the company directly for 35 days, they still have not come through. There’s no hope in sight. The refrigerator is 4 yrs. old, costing $3,500. Model number LMXS30776S, 29.7 cu. Ft. French Door-In-Door Stainless Steel w/ Custom Chill Drawer. It was 9 days for them to find a company for servicing. LG scheduled, cancelled 3 appointments. We waited 23 days more, no one showed up today. The service company, A&E and LG blame each other, we are in the middle. Failure to show up for servicing is a common problem amongst consumers. If you read any “canned” response after this complaint, for us to call LG directly, been there. We write because of their epic fails. We are at a financial loss in time, our initial investment and food. I have never seen a company behave so badly. I don’t understand why companies continue to sell LG. We hope someone with authority will hold LG accountable, put a stop to them selling unsupported, defective product in the U. S.

I contacted them and both didnt have any opening til next month. I called LG again, they gave me another 2 names. I asked if I can call any service that will offer earliest service. She said no because the service need to be LG authorized. I then called 1 of them. The tech came on 7/12 and found the compressor is ineffective. He charged $100 for trip/diagnose. If I have him repaired the fridge he will deduct this charge into the total labor which is $485.I called the customer service again to see if they can reimburse me for the cost of the compressor so I can buy a new fridge instead of paying that much for repair. They said no and at this time they offer me the flat rate repair of $362 for one-time service 60-day warranty or $485/1 year. I asked them if I can use the tech who diagnosed the problem before, they said no because he is not authorized by LG. Thats such a lie (They give me the referral). I asked why not offer me this at first. He said he didnt know. Anyway, I ordered the $362 repair and they charged up front. A confirmed email was sent and schedule for repair on7/17 between 8-12 pm. I took a day off to wait for them. Nobody showed up nor called. I called customer service. After being on hold for awhile, she said the service tech was behind so he couldnt make it.Being asked what will they do to correct it, she said she will send email to higher department to find another service for me. She didnt offer refund nor feel sorry about the situation. I asked to talk to the manager (direct number was requested). I called only to talk to a rep. again, go through all issues again. He put me on hold for over 20 still no response. After reading all complaints about LG. I found out that all issues lead to one result that LG just tried to drive customer around and postponing the solution. I have tried several times to call the supervisor just to wait for 20+. I tried to live chat, after being transferred to repair service dept., I waited there for 30 nobody responded. I emailed them only to get sorry for your inconvenience, we will take your input to improve our service. No problem was solved. Now I dont know what they plan to do on my repair order. No phone call nor email. I think Im going to call the federal trade and general state attorney to report this issue. My first tech told me that dont be tricked by the long term warranty. LG and Samsung parts are very hard to find and easy to break. This is the worst appliance brand and customer service I have ever seen. Im so upset that I spent that much money to buy this crap for over 2 years. I wonder why they still exist on the market. If I can give 0 star, I would.

I bought an LG French door refrigerator November of 2014. Just before the end of the 1 year warranty the refrigerator started making noises. I didnt get around to calling LG until the beginning of December 2015. LG refused to help me unless I purchased an extended warranty for $250. I later called an appliance repairman and was told the noise was my compressor going out. After a year of service?! Are you kidding me?! I proceeded to call LG back to get the compressor replaced (which has a 10 year warranty), they once again wouldnt help me unless I purchased the extended warranty for $250. Really? You spend $3000 on a refrigerator and call for a repair under the warranty, after a year and half (at this point) and you have to spend more money to repair your piece of $3000 junk?! DO NOT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS. THEIR WARRANTIES ARE JUNK. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT THERE TO HELP YOU!

I purchased my LG Refrigerator French Door LFXC24726S on 9/5/15 from Best Buy. This refrigerator is used seasonally from June through September each year and winterized. In July of 2017 or after about 6 months of actual usage Error FF (indicating a fan problem) appeared and the refrigerator ceased to cool. A local repairman (not LG) replaced two fans with no improvement. Since an LG repairman was unavailable on a timely basis I was forced to buy a replacement refrigerator since this is a seasonal rental home. I was able to get an authorized LG repairman in late August who with consultation with LG Tech Support diagnosed a probable Main Control Board issue since the board has been updated to correct a known internal fan icing issue. No repairs have been under warranty so after $300 for fan replacement and $500 for board replacement the refrigerator still produced Error FF and does not function.I would gladly join a class action suit because this is simply unacceptable. Foreign quality that is being sold to the American public by our big box stores. Furthermore, I have been unable to talk to a technical representative at LG myself getting bounced between the standard 800 customer service and the LG parts distributor. My authorized LG repair service indicates that LG is frequently difficult to deal with. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING MANUFACTURED BY LG!

I purchased both LG washer and dryer in February 2009. I have been having problems with stinky clothes and mildewed foul smelling towels. I have tried all of the recommendations provided by this so-called company (LG), however, nothing works. I cant leave the door open on the washer. I have small children. Running the washer on the sanitary cycle with only bleach or only vinegar or only ammonia doesnt solve the smelly problem. My 11-year old has asthma and everybody knows asthma and mold dont mix. I am very disappointed with you, LG. Shame on you!

After reading all of the reviews that I just read, wishing I had read them BEFORE I purchased this $2,300.00 piece of JUNK! I have had nothing but trouble with my LG french door fridge from day one. Icemaker not working, no cold water dispensing, broken drawers now freezer not working. Loud sound from freezer, thinking it was going to catch on fire. The worst of it all is their customer service SUCKS!!! Purchased at HH Gregg. They suck also!!! We even purchased extended warranty!! I get nothing but the run around, it has taken me 6 weeks to get anything acknowledged. Still not fixed, and just received a letter saying there is a lawsuit against LG for this model. Surprise, Surprise!!! Never Ever will I ever purchase anything LG EVER!!!!

When I purchased my LG Washer I was so excited! I researched washers and chose this particular company because I read reviews that discussed the quality & quantity capabilities of this particular brand. I spent more than I had planned on this purchase because I wanted a quality washer. I loved this washer, it was the one thing in the house that I told my family I truly enjoyed using. I recommended it to my friends who were looking to purchase a new washer... It was the best appliance I had EVER owned...THEN IT HAPPENED! The intake valve on the washer messed up and needed repair. That was okay, everything has to have maintenance. So I called MULTIPLE appliance repair shops (11 to be exact), and was told time after time, Maam we dont work on LG appliances, it is impossible to get parts for them. So I called Lowes (where I had purchased the appliance), they no longer take care of parts but instead give you the number of the place to order parts for the products they sale. My husband called the number, ordered the part (which he paid for so it could be shipped to our door)... He was told the part would arrive in 7-10 days. We watch a video on how to install the part and wait for it to arrive... That was in OCTOBER!!! Todays date is December 27!!!After two weeks we called and was told it was on back order but should arrive in another two weeks. Second call was told it was still on back order may be two more weeks. Today when we called we were told the part can be found NOWHERE IN THE USA. He said they were trying to get one from Korea, and would try to let us know something in the next 24 hours about how many more weeks it would be... Listen, I am generally a calm patient person, I grew up in a house with 14 people, I understand waiting your turn. However, I also own a company and I know that your product is only as good as your customer service & support! It doesnt matter how great the product is... If you cannot repair it when it is broken... IT IS JUNK!I will NEVER buy a LG Product again... NEVER! I am trying to save someone else from the same heartache of walking past a brilliant, expensive product on your way out the door to the laundry mat. If you are part of the LG team please learn from this review... You have a great product, but unless you improve your customer service, and parts availability... You will not last long. I will most likely have to purchase another washer, and move forward from this mess. IT WILL NOT BE AN LG APPLIANCE.

Purchased washer, gas dryer bundle. Front door leaked water from first use. Told us to clean it - we wiped it dry every use. After 2.5 months the valves and baskets and other parts (a solenoid that shuts the water off) required replacement. Even with the additional warranty we still owed 350.00 each time. Our washer required authorized repair parts and authorized service people so we had to wait weeks for the appointment, weeks for the parts to be ordered then weeks for a follow up appointment. Now its happening again. I am not repairing this beast. I will go out today and buy a Kenmore or Whirlpool top load from Sears. Sears has been reliable forever. No more LG or samsung for us, ever.

I purchased an LG Refrigerator Door-in-Door in December 2015. On September 14, 2014 I woke up to water all over my kitchen floor due to ice melted in freezer. First thing was to use troubleshooting guide. Did all resets suggested with no results. Called LG and went through all that again with them. Was told to reset and wait 24 hrs then check and call if not cooling. Needless to say this did not work. I lost a freezer and refrigerator full of food. All spoiled. Following Saturday a repairman came out and said that compressor was gone. They ordered a compressor on September 22, 2016. Today is Oct. 10, 2016 and I still have no resolution.I have made many calls both to LG and the place supposedly responsible for repair with no satisfaction. I have never encountered such poor customer service in my life. I just walked around my home and realized that I have 3 LG TVs, a Blu Ray, refrigerator, and microwave. Therefore it is obvious I have spent a lot of money on LG products. I now see that the company does not stand behind its products so I will not purchase any more of their merchandise. As I looked through the reviews I see that I am not alone. LG MUST NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CONSUMERS. So as customers we need to let them know that there is no excuse for such poor workmanship or service.

Our LG LRBN22514ST refrigerator works fine, but the handles on the refrigerator AND the freezer have broken off! The handles are fine, but LG uses PLASTIC mountings that give out over time - really poor choice! Why not use metal mounts and charge a dollar or two more? Ive replaced the bottom refrigerator mount once, but now the part is no longer available - same as the freezer handle mount! Now the (otherwise) functioning refrigerator is difficult to open! Purchased an LG refrigerator 5 years ago at a cost of approx 3000US from Brandsmart USA in South Florida. The unit was shipped to Trinidad and Tobago W.I. The compressor failed a week ago. LG boasted of a 10 yr warranty on the linear compressor. After reviewing on the internet, it would seem that LG has a major problem with this model compressor FC75LBNA. and instead of doing a recall or ensuring the problem with the compressors are fixed, they continue to sell the same compressor with the same fail issue. My local service tech who inspected the refrigerator said every other LG unit he attended to had this exact problem. (Yes there are more suckers like me here in our country who got fooled by LG) Long and short LG USA said my warranty is void because the unit was shipped out of the USA. This was not told to me by the sales rep at Brandsmart who were quite happy to take my money. So now I either throw out a 3000US unit or import a compressor and quite likely experience the same problem again.

My refrigerator stopped working last Friday. It is 2 years old. We called immediately to the call centre. They promised to cover my cost of labour with a local provider. They gave me a number to call the local provider to arrange a time. When I called the provider, they informed me that LG has to send them a work order number. So I called back LG and they said they would expedite this by the end of the day. Nothing happened. I called the provider and no luck. So I called back LG. They told me the same thing, and told me they would call, text or email me by the end of the day. In total, I have called LG 7 times, and a total of 2.5 HOURS on the phone with them. The most recent time I was on the phone 55 min until they told me it would now be 2-5 business days until someone in their service centre called the service provider to give the work order number. And apparently, this is expedited. This is not to mention yesterday, I could not even get through to customer service as their call centre was overloaded, and the recorded message just told me to call back another time. My case number is **. I have now given up, and have to pay for it myself as by the time this happens, it will be well over a week just to arrange a technician. They refuse to email me OR transfer me to the same agent. Getting a floor supervisor to speak to is close to impossible.

Last Friday, I came home with a car-full of groceries only to find that something was wrong with my LG model LFX31925ST. Retrieving my owner’s manual to call for help on my 18-month old fridge deemed fruitless. After being on the phone with what seemed to be an outsourced customer service department for over 30 minutes, the only help I received was My policy says I cant do anything,” which when translated meant I was out of luck. That cool feature where you can link your smart phone for a diagnostic check is only good for the first year. I was told he could schedule a serviceman to come out to check the codes on the door panel for a beginning fee of $89.00. I said I was unable to afford it and hung up. My son went online and looked up the error codes, which this rep refused to tell me what they meant and was not listed in the manual. After further online research, I was able to figure out what I could do and 24 hours later, it was back to working. It was the icemaker fan, which appears to be a flaw in these fridges. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I researched different products 2 years ago when I discovered that my husband was planning on leaving me. I insisted on what I thought was top of the line appliances in the kitchen. So I now have a fridge I cant rely on, a dishwasher that doesnt clean dishes no matter what soap or rinse agent I use and an oven that works but it is a good thing I dont cook much. I am disabled and on a fixed income, so I was hoping that my new kitchen would last me 10-15 years but may get less than 5 at this rate. Dont go by reviews on their website since they only use certain reviews.

I went for brand name and would have chose otherwise could I do it again. I have always trusted LG products but the fridge was somewhat of a disappointment compared to other products. The shelving was too close together and didnt hold up well, was often difficult to change the shelves because the metal would catch on the sides and stick. The crisper drawers would often stick and the plastic was cheaply made. But I like the size and location of the freezer, space inside the lower area. A shelf on the door that provided an area to put the milk. There was an area to put eggs without the carton and the crisper drawers were clear.

All of our appliances and most of our TVs are LG products. They will all be replaced with another brand when the time comes. The Linear Compressor in the french door refrigerators are known defects. Good news is that a class action lawsuit was filed against LG. I had mine diagnosed by a local repairman. He says he sees at least (2) of them every week and sometimes several more. Unfortunately, he was not an LG contractor so he could not get the compressor directly. I would have to contact LG and get authorization letter he can use to order the part and I would have to pay him for labor on installation. I didnt want to have to deal with LG (customer service sucks!!). I called their helpline and explained that I needed someone to replace the compressor that was covered under parts warranty. They said I would have to pay another diagnostic fee. The the tech could schedule the repair. A 2500 refrigerator that lasted (5) years and now I am paying to have it fixed. The Kenmore in my garage is over 20 years old and I have never had an issue with it. Fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me. I will not buy an LG appliance again. I urge you to call your states consumer affairs office, your local TV News Consumer Guy, and most especially, YOUR BANK/CREDIT CARD COMPANY!! Your CC should go to bat for you, and will likely do a charge-back if you think the Lemon Law applies to you, which I agree it does. Theres a thing, a consumer law created for just this kind of situation, that you have the right to expect a product will perform as expected. Yours hasnt, and the store clearly is making sport out of giving you the runaround. I dont care how long it has been, you are owed satisfaction for getting a non-working fridge. Please call your Credit Card Company. Free hint: If your end of the conversation has the word Fraud in it (This feels a lot like Fraud; they took my money and I got nothing in return). Youre not ACCUSING anyone of Fraud, just saying how it makes you feel, get it? They seem real happy if that word in particular enters the conversation. It has happened to me, and it was clear that it needed to be spoken by the person complaining. The truth is, imho, you were defrauded. You deserve a full refund, so you can take your money elsewhere. And dont forget if you purchased any extended warranty, you should get that refunded, too. Just my 2. I am not a lawyer, a consumer advocate or anything. Dont work for the competition, Just want you to get your due. Please dont give up before you get a full refund. The 29.7 Cu ft refrigerator is great, the dishwasher is good, but the lower rack comes off the rails it runs on and gets sideways in the washer. When it is full, you must literally pick it up and place it back on the rails it runs on. When it is empty you still have to place it back on the rails, but it is easier for my wife to handle. I started noticing small holes in my clothes, which baffled me. I’m worried that maybe we had moths, so I took out all of my clothes, emptied the closets, re-washed, and dried them. Now, all of my clothes had holes in it. I did some research online to discover that cracked drums in LG are fairly common :( I looked inside my dryer, and lo and behold, there was in fact a crack, and the crack was what was ripping all my clothes. LG was bought at Home Depot. I had to wait over a week to get someone in to fix it. All my clothes are ruined. I will never buy LG again. Also, the washer gets stuck on 9 minutes any time you wash towels, and it routinely overflows with soap even if I use HE detergent and fill it to well below the normal level indicated in the soap receptacle.

LG Counter Microwave 1260SW/1260SB - After three years of use, not daily, there was burning smell coming out of the side vent and a grinding sound inside. I contacted LG and they said it sounded like the magnetron. LG said it sounded like the magnetron, which was covered under a 10-year warranty and then referred a local repair shop. We took it in. They charged us $50 for a diagnostic test and $46.02 for labor for the magnetron. Two days later, we brought it home and the situation was worse than when we took it in. Back to the repair shop we went and the shop called saying it was the fan motor. Well, they wanted another $50 for labor and parts. After refusing to pay any more labor costs, they fixed it. The only parts were for a stirrer motor and stirrer support and another $26. We got it home, plugged it in, and turned it on. Inside lit up like a neon light and it started sparking. Light was so bright and sparks so bad, my husband and I thought it was going to blow up. Back to the shop it went. They put a container of water inside, no sparks or excessive lighting happened, so they deemed it fixed. I refuse to use it. We paid almost as much in repair bills as we did in purchasing it. As much as I loved the horseshoe design inside the microwave, this was just too much hassle, expensive and time consuming to repair. I had also contacted two other small appliance places to see if we were being ripped off. Both told me they refuse to work on LG small appliances. They either couldnt get the parts or it took a week or more to get them in, inconveniencing their customers. No more LG appliances for us.

Woke up on the 4th of July with a house full of company visiting and tons of food in the fridge and freezer defrosted and spoiled. My extended warranty not covered because I was told LG is now covering cooling issues for 5 years from purchase. After extended hold times with LG (over an hour each time) it took them over 2 weeks to send a repair person. Repair finally done on Wednesday, they changed out the compressor. Was told to allow fridge to cool for 24 hours before placing anything inside and 24 hours for ice. It has been 48 hours, shopped today for some food as everything had to be thrown out and the fridge and freezer are not cooling properly. Ice not freezing, few items in freezer mushy and milk and juice barely cool. Will have to get back on the phone with customer service tomorrow.

I bought an LG stove @ Home Depot on November 2009. I could write a book to describe the delivery and write a full chapter dedicated to the balanced decision of the person that sold me the defective door on the fridge. Three years, and no problem with the stove, then about 7 months ago I started to have problems with the control panel… F1 appeared but because the building has been undergoing changes, I did not bother to say anything. An electrician confirmed that it had nothing to do with the malfunction. About 2 months ago, as the upgrading of the building had come to a completion, I spoke to LG and for 2 months, I have been lied to and deceived by the executives of this company - very ethical indeed. They want to give me a prorated $700.00 for me to buy another stove. Today, I find out, that the reason why they don’t want to come over to fix my stove, the reason is that this model LSB5682SW/01 was made in Canada and this model is now discontinued. In other words... (TOO BAD, TOO BAD… Revelation chapter 18) for me. That is while I was speaking to a representative. He assured me that the unit was “unrepairable”. I then asked him what F1 means. He said it meant “AN OVEN ISSUE”. Another Executive told my sister “that there is now a SAFETY issue” with the stove. What I mean is that they have conjured up for themselves a code of silence and mutated the truth. It is difficult when there is so much silence for so long - this makes it more unbearable. Now they want me to buy another LG stove. What they should do is refund me the money or fix the control panel - neither of these they want to oversee. Why are there not more videos uploaded to YouTube on this CURSED practice?? I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS WAS MADE IN CANADA.

I apologize for the wordiness of this, but our situation has been going on
I apologize for the wordiness of this, but our situation has been going on for a long time. If I pay $800.00 for a product, and that product fails, I expect a refund. With LG, it doesnt work this way, apparently. I am so sorry I ever bought an LG dryer. I have a dryer at a rental that is over 23 years old. Not a problem; works like a charm. All I want now is a simple dryer with two buttons: on and off. No songs, no flashing lights. We purchased our LG dryer (washer and fridge too!) in June 2014. All three were delivered July 14, 2014. On November 21, 2014, the dryer stopped working. By that I mean that when you pressed the button to run a cycle, it sat there blinking at you and the drum did not turn. Hence begins the ongoing nightmare of 1) trying to speak with an actual customer service rep and 2) scheduling a service tech to come and fix it.On November 28th, an LG authorized tech came out. He couldnt fix the dryer and needed to order a part. Being a Friday, the part was not ordered until December 1st. December 17th, almost a full month since our dryer stopped working, the tech came out to fix the dryer. After spending two hours, he turned it on and it gave us the same symptoms. The tech then remarks, Hm. Looks like the installation did not account for propane. You need a propane conversion. Really? They tell us now? Why not during the initial installation? Why not the first time the tech came out? And this has to be at our expense of course. We are now heading into the holiday season. Family coming to visit. No dryer. We have by now spent gas money, our time, extra planning on when we can drive a load of wet clothes eight miles into town, and scrounged around for cash for the dryer loads. We paid the LG authorized tech over $200 to convert to propane. He did that conversion January 13, 2015. Two weeks later, on January 27th, the dryer failed again with the same symptoms as November 21st. My husband and I by now have spent hundreds of hours on the phone with LG and with Home Depot. It was around this time that we decided we wanted a refund. On one occasion, I asked for a manager (I was getting tired of repeating my story), and twice got cut off. This in one day. I called the tech company myself to schedule a repair. They know who we are by now and I asked them to please escalate! February 2, 2015: The tech comes out and cant fix it. It needs yet another part! We are furious and frustrated and tired of having to reschedule our lives around laundry trips. If Home Depot cannot sell a product for which the manufacturer stands by, then why do they sell it? February 4th. The Home Depot person I have been speaking with finally got me a phone number and a real person at LG. (My notes have at least six different phone numbers.) The LG rep told me she would be sending me an email to which I could upload my service call receipts, and my proof of purchase (they dont have this?). Again, I am spending my time running around for something I paid for. (Had to print it, shrink it, scan it, and make sure it did not exceed the MB limit imposed on me. Of course it did the first time I tried.) This makes no sense. This is not customer service. The woman whose name and number at LG I now covet, said I would receive a confirmation email in 24 hours. I did not. She also said I would receive a decision on my request for a refund in 72 hours. I did not. February 10: I finally gave in and called her back (like I said, hundreds of hours lost on the phone, waiting on hold, pressing buttons, getting disconnected), and my request for a refund was rejected. I have to have one more tech visit (which is currently scheduled for February 16), and then resubmit everything all over again. This is a nightmare!

LG countertop microwave oven completely quit working after 3 weeks. Custome
LG countertop microwave oven completely quit working after 3 weeks. Customer Service said I could get a refund but its now been over 3 months and no refund. I had to write 2 letters and make numerous phone calls - LG is a nightmare to deal with. Their customer service people are barely understandable over the phone, and they never follow up on any of my letters. I just emailed the company again and now they are asking for the same documentation already sent them. I had to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the FTC, and the New Mexico State Atty General. The next step will be to sue them in small claims court. This has been a huge waste of time and frustration. I will never purchase an LG product again - a very unprofessional corporation who do not honor their warranties.

Purchased an extended warranty on March 14, 2017 for my LG refrigerator for
Purchased an extended warranty on March 14, 2017 for my LG refrigerator for $375 through Assurant which LG told me I had to go through to get coverage. LG contacted Royal Electronics from Bunnell Fl. to service my refrigerator. R.E. phone #386-756-1775. R.E. contacted me to set up date to come to my home to look at my refrigerator. R.E. did show up but only after cancelling the first appointment and showing up a week later. The service repairman was very friendly but came completely unprepared and was ready to walk out the door when I brought it to his attention that he hadnt even checked the ice maker, which was one of the main reasons he was there. The other was the water inlet valve in the back of the refer. Jumping ahead repairman said he order the parts but that the refer was old (7yrs) and I might not be able to get all the parts for it. Sad.Im waiting almost two weeks and hear nothing from R.E. I call them back and they say they cant get the ice maker anymore (no longer available). I went online and found the part myself at repairclinic.com. I called R.E. back and said they could get the part from repairclinic. R.E. told me they only order parts from approved suppliers through LG. I called LG and they said they would authorize the purchase, and let R.E. know to go ahead and order the parts. In the meantime Im still making phone calls both to R.E. and L.G. really getting nowhere. Assurant has already charged my credit card twice ($250 now), and nothing has yet to remedy my broken refer 6 wks later. R.E. never calls back and I always had to call them.Collette from R.E. told me the part was on its way but she didnt have a tracking number and that we would just have to wait to hear from her again. She told me not to call again because she would call me (that never happened). So now after at least two working days on the phone, on hold more than half the time, I decided to cancel my insurance policy. I call LG and they said they would charge me $100 and refund the rest. They said this was to pay for the service call to my house by the repairman. I received really no service at all, and Id be a fool to keep playing phone tag with two companies that obviously have no intentions of making it right. I believe R.E. was being spiteful that I went above their heads and found the part I needed from another company. (Prior, R.E. insisted to me that the parts could no longer be obtained because the part was no longer manufactured.)They just did not want to do their job and thats incompetence as far as Im concerned. What a win fall for R.E. All the repairman does is show up and he gets paid. LG should refund all my money for the trouble I have been put through. A refrigerator that cost me about $2400 should last (in my book) at least 10 yrs before something goes wrong with it. LG mindset, its time to buy a new one in 6 to 7 yrs. What a shame and what happened to pride in the products we buy in the USA? Wasteful! Wasteful! Wasteful! I shall go on to order the parts myself and try to repair my refrigerator. What happened to the days when you would call a repairman and he would have the parts in his truck and hed fix it right then and there?

LG dishwasher is pretty easy to understand the settings. I have had it for over two years. Its stainless steel inside and outside. I feel the stainless steel interior is easy to clean and maintain. It has an energy saving feature which I often use. It also gives you a signal when the rinse aid is low.
