I purchased, in good faith, a new LG refrigerator (side by side) for over $2,200. The cooling system began degrading and I lost all contents in the fridge. The worst part of the experience is that LG did not provide support after many calls. I could not even connect with a senior leader in the company - all reps indicated their policy is to not provide contact information of any senior leader. I could not believe this. They did not care that I spent a great deal of money and faith in their product and the product failed and, they would not even stand behind it. Finally, after several weeks, they sent someone to examine it and made some changes. However, within a week, the temp increased back up to about 60 degrees. They would not send someone back out reasonably quickly, so I contacted a repair service. They came out a few months ago and replaced the compressor. All was fine until, once again, the temp began rising; this time over 65 degrees. I have been trying to get hold of someone who can help me at LG at no avail. I do not typically write reviews about products online (unless positive); however, I feel I have some level of responsibility to you and others to suggest you NOT buy an LG product. The product is not dependable and the service is even worse. Unless youre willing to part with a substantial part of your hard-earned money, consider another brand.

I have had nothing but trouble with my LG fridge (model LFC2525765ST). Ive had the same problem over and over since purchasing it in 2011. Well sort of, it started off with a blown bulb in the fridge. Then...well. They come out, fix it, then something else. The temperature keeps dropping and I keep losing my food. LG will not replace the fridge and I keep losing food. Their $250.00 check does not replace all that I have lost or what I have to spend on take-out while they diagnose the same problem again and again and then have to wait for them to order new parts, then set up a new date to come in and fix it. What is my relief when this company comes in to (seemingly) rebuild my fridge? Shouldnt they have to replace it when they have to keep repairing a 3-year-old fridge? I have a warranty and believe me, Ive needed it practically every year Ive had it. Somebody please help me with this, Im tired of losing my food. Im tired of wondering if I will have something to eat when I open the fridge door. With this current incident, its been going on since the beginning of January 2015. And the problem still hasnt been resolved. They put in a new part and the repair charge (not to me) was $335.32. It started working then it stopped and that weekend, so called the company again but cancelled because it started working again. A repairman called me and said give it 24 to 48 hrs to regulate itself (this was a Monday, I called on that Friday before but cancelled on I believe that Sunday). Then it happened again on a Thursday (Thursday seems to be the day of breakdowns). I called for repair service on Friday and as usual, had to wait until Monday for service to be set up. They always end the call with,We are here for you 24/7, but how? Since they cant do anything on a weekend. And I was told they would put in an emergency call for me. I expected someone to come on Monday but no, they called to set up an appointment on Monday. So had to wait again. Who knows what the next part will cost that is coming in on 2/16/15. Oh yeah, this is the same problem from January. This is the third time Ive had to shop, but I buy a little at a time now because I lost all my food from the last two shopping trips thinking the problem had been resolved (silly me). I had already sent in a food loss form. Dont think Ill be reimbursed for the last two mistakes I made buying food. I asked for another food loss form but still waiting. And Im waiting to hear about the one I already turned in. Wow... Oh, by the way, the first time they delivered my fridge, they had to take it back and bring another one because it was defective. Should have taken a hint then. It was purchased from HHGregg BRANDYWINE PKWY 19803 on 11/08/2011.

I bought an LG refrigerator from Home Depot in August 2007. It is the freezer on the bottom model. After about two months I noticed dripping in my basement. The ice maker plastic hose had a pin hole right behind the fridge and water was leaking down into the basement and onto the I beam. The whole beam was filled with water. Home Depot came and replaced the plastic hose. Then it leaked under my new laminate flooring and ruined a section of it.I just shut the ice maker and the water to it off. I use old fashioned ice cube trays because I am afraid to have another leak. I also have had to replace the crispers in the refrigerator section twice as the plastic keeps cracking, making the crisper unusable. The new ones dont quite fit and are relatively expensive. I need a new one again. Thats 5 repairs in 6 years. I cant afford new fridge but this one is a piece of junk.

LTC20380 - I received my new fridge on March 5, 2013. The ice maker didnt work right. I called the service center in Alabama. The person I spoke to sounded like he was on drugs. Even the Home Depot where I bought it from in Springfield Gardens, NY was no help either.

Absolutely TERRIBLE machine - LG Washing Machine-Model WT1101CW. Bought this washing machine 3 yrs ago. Broke 4 months ago. Used SEARS Home Repair to fix (I bought washer from them). 5 technicians, 4 major parts replaced, 7 service calls later machine still broken - unbalance load indicator goes on stopping machine from running and then if you get the unbalanced load indicator to go out (at least 6 tries), it then goes thru 3 spin/rinse cycles, refilling the tub each time, even if the machine is EMPTY. Takes 3-4 HOURS for a normal no frills cotton wash cycle (using default settings) to complete. Absolutely ridiculous. My old GE and Whirlpool worked like a Timex for 12 years. I cant sell it because its defective. I wouldnt even give this machine to charity.SEARS wont stand behind its 90 day service warranty. The technicians would NEVER let me run a FULL load through a cycle to test it. $600 dollars in repairs/service calls and it still doesnt work right! They wont give me my money back for the service calls that did nothing to fix the problems, even though the Techs promised the new parts would fix it. HA! DONT BUY FROM SEARS or LG. Worst customer service I have EVER had. Ive written letters and dozens of phone calls - no resolution - zilch.

I purchased my LG refrigerator in 09/29/2015. After 4 years of service it suddenly stopped working. I had not heard of the problems til this moment. Looking at everything on the internet I wonder if I shouldnt just buy a different refrigerator. We have had a tech here and he is ordering a new compressor for our frig. We lost all or most of the food plus we had to purchase a small freezer to keep food in so we werent running out with our concerns about COVID. I had bought an extended warranty at the time of purchase because the fridge. Was only fully covered for 1 year. Now I understand LG has revised it to cover 5 years so I spent that money for nothing. We are retired and so our money is tight and every cost affects the budget. We havent had a refrigerator for just about a week and now I am thinking about buying a small one for my garage just to keep cold drinks and condiments. With the freezer and small fridge Ill have spent 400.00 dollars and I now I think the money would have been better spent buying a different brand. I havent had to deal with LG in any of this with my extended warranty and with other complaints not sure I want to. If you are reading these post stay away from LG refrigerator until they prove they have fixed these problems. They had to settle a class action lawsuit in 2014 and now are back in court as of 2019 with the same problem and new complaints. This means that LG has had an ongoing problem without resolution for over ten years and are willing to continue to sell these products. If this were a car company they would be forced to make a recall.

We bought an LG Front loading washer and dryer from Sears about 1 1/2 years ago. We immediately encountered sporadic occurrences of what looks like oil streaks from the washer. We called Sears and they sent someone out, who replaced the tub and some other items, and also told us to use a different kind of detergent. A few months and a few ruined items of clothing later, we called Sears again and they sent someone out who replaced a bunch of stuff again. They then sold us an extended warranty on the washer. We thought Sears sold it to us, but it turns out we bought it from LG. So the problem has continued and weve called LG, who is telling us that our complaint doesnt fall under the terms of the warranty, that we are complaining about cosmetic outcomes of the laundry. Crazy us, expecting a brand new washer to clean our clothes and not leave grease streaks. They have been horrible to work with. They are offering to refund the warranty which, of course, allows them to walk away from us completely. I guess well need to try and get Sears back involved, as technically we brought this to their attention under the original warranty, and it never was resolved. If you are considering buying LG, I hope you have better luck than weve had. I will never buy another product that says LG on it.

I purchased 3 LG appliances, and for all 3 appliances I have had problems with them almost from the start. The Icemaker does not work and drawers falling apart. The Stove, every time I use the self clean option the stove top or the oven will not work and I have to call a repair man. The Microwave oven, the numbers 1 & 2 do not work. These products are now 5 years old. The refrigerator was purchased to replace a 15 year old GE side by side that I now use in my garage for extra refrigerator space that still makes ice and all drawers are still intact.

On hold for approximately 2 hours total. Bad customer service and for $1700 bad refrigerator. Last word was they were trying to find someone to come out. It should only take them 3 days. Meantime all the food in my freezer had water poured on it. Now its frozen. Its a mess. I will never purchase another LG product!

Model LMWS27626S, Production Date was Feb 2021. Bought on March 21, 2021 from Home Depot and was delivered almost a week later. 3 Days ago, noticed water began to accumulate down in the freezer section... Simply put, the fridge stopped working. Just today the technician dispatched by LG showed up and after performing his diagnostics, he told me that both the Main Board and The Compressor are bad and theyll need to be replaced. Imagine a 3 Month Old Appliance from the date of production going bad and to think weve only had this in our home for 4 weeks. This experience just gives me no confidence in the LG Brand at all, yes they are nice on the surface but trash in the inside. Now well be out of a fridge for the next week until the parts arrive. At this point I dont even want to keep this appliance in my home because I know it will break again. Luckily I bought an extended warranty but even so, no amount of warranty will bring the confidence back towards this brand.

We have just started in the process of dealing with the design flaw for the LFX31925ST/00. There are 3 defined steps of symptoms: (1) a loud noise coming from the lower back of fridge; (2) icing up of the back panel; (3) RF 1 error. Apparently, this is a due to a design flaw and new panel has been redesigned to fix the problem. Also, not all consumers and including us got the memo of the problem, we are dealing with it now. We have American Home Shield who sent out a repairman today. So we will wait now until tomorrow to find out what will get fixed.A minor irritant, the front plane where the lever for water is located, the lever just falls out now. The directions on the ice maker and water dispenser were silk-screened on this model. We see the new models are etched (much better). The panel had a plastic covering that has come off. This is like buying a very expensive car with wood paneling and then the wood paneling begins to flap around while you are driving. Cosmetically poor. Meanwhile, these products get good ratings from Consumer Reports. We are subscribers and did our home work. Apparently, CR did not. In the picture, you will note the panel is discolored with black at the bottom. The water dispensing lever falls out. The good news, the panel apparently can be bought for 105 dollars: **.

I purchased an LG oven as a gift for my sons family in February 2013. After 6 months the oven stopped working. My son called LG and had a repair person come to the house. He had to wait over 3 weeks for the appointment, even after offering to be home at any hour. He has small children and trying to make meals for the 3 weeks was a challenge. Once the oven was repaired we all thought it was good to go. In January 2014 the same problem occurred but this time LG said they cannot get the part (after my son and his family waited another 3 weeks for an appointment). My son and I have spoken to LG and they offered to pay us back for what we paid. Of course they refuse to replace it. It is not longer an item that they make and since we got it on sale so a new LG will cost much more than what they are offering to give us. Shame on you LG. When I purchased my oven, not an LG, and it did not work properly, not only was it replace but it was replaced the next day. I will never purchase anything made by LG again. Customer service says it all and LG does not have it. From a customer of anything but LG.

We recently purchased a new home and with it came an LG washer. After a service call to LG, followed by a maintenance call from a local repair company we are STILL completely dissatisfied with this washer. I have never in all my years of doing laundry (4 children) have ever had to sort clothes based on weight. Even with doing so, the load can take up to two hours to do. The spin cycle is awful and continues to repeat itself. It is quicker to dry a load of towels versus doing a load of wash with the LG. I have read many of the same complaints on this board. LG, you need to do something about this. I would never, ever recommend an LG product to anyone based on my experience with this one product. It is the absolute worst.

(Re: LG Tromm WM1841CW) I moved in with my GF, leaving my old cheap top load behind for the new tenant and thinking hey, why not, the GF has an expensive LG; more expensive, a lot more expensive, so it must be better, right? Wrong! On top of the musty odors, I swear I am gaining rather than losing stains on my clothing. These look like grease stains. Certain materials seem more prone, such as cottons, especially softer cottons. LG suggests all this ** about cleaning the door seal, door, and tub at minimum daily. What a load of **! What, the consumer has to fix LGs bad design problems? And this thing cost more than a thousand. My 50-dollar secondhand washer never had these problems and got things clean. Save your money and you mind and buy yourself a good ol’ cheap top loader. Going forward, I will hand fill (over fill) the tub with super-hot water and pout in a couple cups of bleach and let it wash for a few minutes before letting it sit for a few hours. As for the laundry, I will see about over filling it with water to get the wash actually clean.

LG is not a brand I would recommend to anyone. After being on hold for quite some time and passed to 4 different departments, all by accident, when all I want is help with a washer issue that is a known issue. Apparently the unit we purchased, a top loader inverter has issues with drainage after a short period of time. The washer is unbearably smelly. Water seems to stay in the plastic tub instead of draining. After going thru the manual and reading all the complaints online after the fact, we have not found a solution for a practically new washer. Oh, and our purchase records are apparently lost. So of course their only solution is to contact service and pay to have their known issue fixed. I will never purchase LG again. Have not had issues with other vendors like I have had with this one. If anyone has seen this issue and corrected, I would love to hear your solution.

We bought our LG french door refrigerator from Best Buy fall of 2016 to be installed in our new home in 2017 spring. Almost 1 year to the date of moving into the house we had our first complete meltdown. All of the food was defrosted and water was all over the floor. We called LG and a technician was sent out days later. They replaced the compressor and it worked for a few months. Then it happened again. We called the same technician and they fixed it again. Now its noisy and worked until about a year after the first fix. Then it defrosted. Again same situation. This time it was 9 days before the technician arrived.By then it had spontaneously started working again so she refused to do anything. We paid over $100 for this. Now 1 month later its done again. We were told this is how its designed to work and there is nothing they can do. If this is true no one should ever buy LG. They design to cost you hundreds of dollars and dont back up their appliances. Cant wait to see how long it takes to get a technician and what they will do or not do this time. Each time we seem to have to pay more money plus we never seem to qualify for the supposed $200 in food recompense.

Worst experience I have had as a consumer - ever. I ordered an LG microwave 1/3/18 through a third-party, AJ Madison. It was delayed weeks (not LGs fault), when I finally received it and plugged it in it had a code of death - F11. It never worked, not even ONE SECOND. That was middle of March. Its now May 3, 2018. I have sent in repeated receipts, responded to their letters, requests for more information, taken pictures, cut up serial numbers, signed declarations that I did in fact buy the microwave. Gotten the third party involved and had them try on my behalf to no avail! They now want me to send them a receipt having bought a second one of these before theyll send me my money back for the January 3, 2018 purchase! Im on hold again with LG, 26 minutes into it and the customer service wants to explain the process to me - youve got to be kidding me. LG, as a very American, cooperative consumer who has purchased 14 appliances in the last year and done lots of shopping - this is the WORST customer service experience I have ever had!

We purchased a washer and dryer set in December. The week of June 22nd I called because the washer stopped working. The technician was sent out on June 26th and it was determined that 5 parts must be replaced because it was defective. They were suppose to be replaced on June 29th and the technician called to tell me the parts didnt arrive over the weekend and he would hopefully call me to come back out on July 1st. It is now July 14th and we STILL do not have a washer! I paid for a BRAND new washer, not a defective one. This is UNACCEPTABLE that this is taking this long! I have called the 1-800 number several times and every time, Im told that it should be here tomorrow. I am having to go pay to wash my clothes at a laundromat. I am tired of the run around! I want this taken care of and I want it explained to me how a brand new product that is currently still being sold can take this long to be fixed! Your product and your customer service has much to be desired!

LG Waveforce True Balance Washer large capacity - You CAN fit huge amounts of clothes in the washer. This is the only good thing. The BAD - no matter whether you wash one thing or a giant load, it will wash and wash and wash because the load becomes uneven and it is trying to even out the load. Eventually, almost every load, you will have to stand over the load to keep re-positioning the load manually until it finishes washing. If you have time to spend at least 20 minutes watching and monitoring almost every load so you can make it even, then this washer is for you.

We purchased an LG refrigerator (model LSXS26326S) on April 28, 2016. It was delivered and installed on May 3, 2016. On July 30, 2018, it stopped working, ruining approximately $300.00 worth of food. We contacted the store of purchase (Home Depot), and were told because we did not purchase the extended warranty, we would have to pay for repairs. We then contacted LGs customer service line, and they directed us to a local LG authorized repair provider. They were going to charge $125.00 for a visit to assess the issue, and if the parts were covered by manufacturers warranty, they would charge an additional $250 for labor... If not, who knows what the charge would be. Now, I understand wear and tear and paying for repairs, but a lightly used refrigerator (mostly just my wife and I in the home), breaking down after just two years of use, seems like faulty craftsmanship. I then went on LGs website and chatted, first with a representative, then with a supervisor, both of whom seemed less interested in a quality product than with pushing their warranties (which would not be as needed with a sturdy product). The bottom line was, they are not responsible for their product breaking after only two years, and we were responsible for any repairs. After this experience, I went on consumeraffairs.com and read numerous complaints of a similar vein, $1,500 - $3,000 refrigerators breaking after only a couple of years, with no support from LG. I received no help from LG, so I contacted my local news stations consumer affairs department in hopes of bringing to light LGs poor product quality and non-existing customer service.

Our LG refrigerator quit working after only four years. It was diagnosed as a sealed system failure. I noticed many other reviewers have had the same issue. The parts are covered under the warranty, but the labor isnt. $800-$1200 to repair! Model #LFC25776ST needs to be recalled! Were starting over and buying a Whirlpool.

We purchased an LG over the range microwave a few weeks ago. From the first day, it has been extremely loud when running. It has become very irritating and embarrassing when others are in the kitchen. My husband called the 800 customer service line. The rep was allowed to hear it running over the phone, and just said that was normal. Thus no solution was offered. I dread having to endure the loud sound for the entire time we will have this microwave. But based on the negative reviews Im reading, this may not be for long. I have never before been moved to submit a review on a product until now. Please beware.

My husband and I purchased this top loading LG washing machine on January 2, 2019. Mid February 2020, as I was doing laundry, I heard an extremely loud noise. The washer had jumped all over, dented our wall and the frame of the washing machine was bent outward. The top was also popped off. The warranty was only 12 months, therefore out of warranty. The process that LG gives us for filing a complaint is extremely difficult. We have been given standard email responses. As of today, they have not contacted us to discuss the matter and resolve it.

I purchased this mid 2016. The compressor just went out. I called LG and Sears. The part is covered and not the labor. They only warranty for 1 year. Compressor is still under warranty but tech wants $650 to install. It is a $1300 refrigerator. It should have lasted longer than this. I have a new baby and a diabetic in the house. I dont have the means to repair. I am forced to using a ice chest and hoping the insulin will be ok. I am still paying on this piece of worthless junk. This should not happen to a fairly new product. Very disappointing. What happen to appliances lasting years before something went out. Really bad quality control. I expected more from LG!

LGs a good reputable brand that I trust. Have always had positive experiences with both products and service. Has always been reliable in all situations involving my purchase. I like the refrigerators size, range, compartments, brand, durability, reliability, pricing, value for my money, storage capacity, options for model, warranty, ice dispensers, water dispensers. There is nothing I dislike about my refrigerator. Its a great machine and has never caused me any problems with either the product itself or the services.

I am beside myself with this machine. Right from the get go after purchase, the motherboard had to be replaced because it would stop spinning and send an error code. The worst part though is its ruining my clothes. I only put bleach in one cycle and that is my white towels and other whites. It doesn’t matter how long after a bleach load, it could be the next day, the bleach leaks on my colored clothes and has ruined many, expensive towels and cotton expensive cotton shirts. Even if I try to dry the dispenser out. I have called lg and home depot where I purchased the machine. Lg had the dispenser replaced but nothing changed. By the way, I put just a very small amount of bleach in the dispenser. This is so wrong - I have so many ruined towels and I threw everything out before, but now I’m saving them for evidence. Who can help?

When oven ignited, it had a LOUD whoosh or BOOM. Broiler wouldnt get hot enough to even make toast! I made numerous calls to Home Depot with No satisfaction. Called & e-mailed LG for months. Finally their repairman installed new broiler, still didnt get hot. All knobs broke without a few weeks. Still have not received knobs. My oven is used for STORAGE!! Will never buy another LG product, nor will I recommend LG or Home Depot to ANYONE. Also, it took 30 minutes to preheat. NEVER been so upset with a situation such as this. I used to bake A LOT, now I cant afford to replace this stove!! My husband has serious health issues. A new stove is OUT OF THE QUESTION at this point.

I purchased an LG range on 11/08. I bought the extended warranty plus 1st year warranty from LG. Problem with range reported to warranty company on 12/11. Appliance service company tried to repair on three different occasions, receiving parts from LG. The range is discontinued and the part cannot be obtained from LG. The warranty company does not want to replace as per contract to either repair or replace. I gave LG the responsibility to settle claim. LG wants to pro-rate product because they only guarantee the first year. The warranty company does not want to replace because they cant get the part from LG because this range has been discontinued. I paid $1,799 for this and I feel it should either be replaced or I should be reimbursed for the full amount.

Was the best deal available at the time and was highly recommended by salesman. Love the brand and would buy again as it has many features you dont necessarily get elsewhere. Highly reliable products. I like the ice maker and filtered water system. Also like that I can move the shelves around to maximize and customize the space in the refrigerator. I also like the meat drawer and produce drawers. They are spacious enough to hold adequate products. But the freezer is too small, would like less shelving etc to give more space; maybe move the freezer to the bottom instead of side by side if it could be configured correctly and I could see and retrieve product easily.

Then it was going to be 800 in labor to replace the compressor... Tech came and set my floor on fire along with so, much smoke from his soldering I had to call the fire department. Final settlement was 25k for all my carpets and drapes plus a, new fridge. Hopefully this one holds up.

The dishes never come out dry no matter what cycle I choose. The dish washer has a terrible odor and so do the dishes and now the motor makes a high pitched squealing noise. I bought an LG Tromm front loading washing machine and it is definitely defective. The clothes reek of mold and after calling the company, I was told to leave the door open and to buy tablets to clean the tub. It was ridiculous--with my old GE toploader, I had no problems or issues. Now, the machine has an OE signal for the second time and the washer is not draining. A serviceman came out and said that it was the drain motor. It cost $235.40. The LG recommended technician that came said the motor is only guaranteed for one month after being changed. I have never been more outraged. When it breaks again, I will go to Sears and buy anything but an LG product.

I have an LG model LMXC23746D. Not only is the black peeling (happens on the whole suite) but the refrigerator stopped cooling. Noticed water on the door where the icemaker resides. Checked the freezer and food was thawing. Fridge wasnt cold either. LG took my info, scheduled an appointment for repair and it was fixed on March 4th. Here we are not even two months in, and its broken again. Same symptoms. LG set an appointment 2 weeks from now to send someone out. I have food that was spoiled, and now have to live out of a cooler until they arrive to fix it again. So are the replacement parts as bad as the original? Not only do the Black Stainless appliances peel and look horrid, but the appliance doesnt function. How many times will I have to go through this? Ill have to spend another $1-3 thousand for a replacement. Not happy.

LGs 2 year old dishwasher nearly burned my house down then they quietly clo
LGs 2 year old dishwasher nearly burned my house down then they quietly closed 6 cases I opened with 6 representatives to discuss the matter along with the damage their dangerous equipment caused. On the 6th attempt, I asked the representative if it was normal for the previous 5 cases to automatically be closed without any communications, she confirmed it was very odd and she never saw that happen before (all calls were recorded). Additionally, both racks rusted through after 2 years of use. LG agreed to send replacement racks since it was under warranty but they were never delivered. The LG dishwasher also created water damage under the counter, which resulted in a 6 crack under the counter. The root cause was the result of extremely poor engineering by LG. 1) Poorly designed seal which didnt use common design engineering knowledge, 2) an extremely poorly designed latch design, which places a hole in the latch an inch away from the poorly designed seal. The major safety hazard here is that the hole in the latch provides a direct path to the electrical switches in the door latch assembly. These issues are further discussed below.I originally provided LG with a video showing how their dishwasher shorted and burned at the LG dishwasher door latch switch. I discovered the melted door latch assembly and exposed shorted wires because the dishwasher smelled like it was burning. They clearly have design and quality issues. The risk is too high to ever consider an LG appliance again. I also have a 6 month old LG refrigerator and the compressor is occasionally making loud noises... more quality issues with another LG appliance. I also had the V20 for two years. It was a horrible phone. LG provided infrequent updates. So glad I returned to Samsung with the Note 9 and now the Note 20 Ultra... anyways...Here is the video showing the charred and melted door latch after it nearly burned my house down. I also included a second video to diagnose the issue, since there was no longer power to the unit. **. I bought their control board (potted PCBA) for about $200 and a door latch assembly with the correct switches. After installing the new board and latch assembly, I learned that the dishwasher seal suffered from excessive compression set due to a poor mechanical design by LG. Compression set is when the rubber remains compressed and doesnt return to its original shape. This typically occurs when rubber is compressed at more than 50%. The problem can be easily avoided by limiting seal compression to a maximum of 50%. This is basic design engineering knowledge but apparently, LG failed with that very trivial design requirement. In addition to a poorly designed seal, it turns out that my house almost burned down because of a really, really bad LG latch design where the latch opening created direct access to the electrical switches. This is a major safety hazard because the seal preventing water from leaking is about an inch away from the switches; this creates a direct path from the seal to the switches. Water was leaking through the top of the seal and directly through the latch assembly and into the switches. The distance from the seal to the switches is about 1-2 inches so if it leaks, it can cause a fire. The same issue was going to happen again if I continued using the dishwasher. At this point, its clear there is a safety hazard. I will likely start connecting with class action law firms to take further action, since LG continues to quietly close all cases I opened to discuss the matter. It is incredibly alarming that LG would learn of this information and choose to quietly silent my cases. It seems like LG doesnt care about the safety of their customers since they have not responded to my very troubling concerns. Im sure this will elicit a canned response from LG and a request to settle it privately. However, it is troubling that they wouldnt want to make this issue well-known and have a safety recall. My house almost burned down and they quietly closed 6 cases I opened. LGs behavior is beyond unethical. Its also beyond negligent. It seems like it approaches criminal. I can only imagine what other safety hazards they are covering up.There are so many horrible reviews and stories from so many people about LG. I had a bad experience with them last year, which led to me buying another refrigerator after less than 2 years of having the new refrigerator... which also has problems. At this point, maybe I should notify the major retailers of the need to have a safety recall. They may not care about their customers, but they will care about the cost and brand issues associated with a major safety recall... especially when they tried covering it up.

In 2013 I purchased a set of LG large capacity washer and dryer. I was excited when I got my new machines. At first I was amazed, as it did not seem my clothes had been washed so clean and dried so efficiently in years, compared to my old washer and dryer. After a few months, it seemed the washer would stop itself more and more often, with a UE flashing on the screen and required opening the machine and rearrange heavy wet clothing until it would spin through. About that time I received a notice of a recall that affected my machine. I called the recall hotline number and a technician was sent to replace the faulty parts. This solved the problem with balance and wash cycle, but left the washer with few choices for temperature. You have the choice of warm/warm, regardless of the setting other than tap cold. Cold/cold runs warm/warm. At least the machine was operating and cleaning the clothes. I was told it may happen again and that, if it did, to keep the number for the recall hotline. I have always made a special point of taking large blankets or anything other than regular clothing or bedding/towels, to a public laundry.Recently, once again, the machine has been throwing the clothing to the side and refusing to complete the load without the struggle of reaching in and rearranging the load, reading unbalanced several times before the load would finish. The last load I did was two regular bed sheets and a few wash clothes and it stopped twice before completed the cycle.I called the recall hotline from my paperwork and a tech was sent to our home, today. I was at work, so my husband greeted the repair technician. After trying the machine on its cycle, running on empty, he called me at work to tell me it tested normal. I assured him it was far from normal. The technician proceeded to tell me it is very important with this delicate machine, to only wash light loads of the same clothing, such as sheets only, towels only, light cotton with like size and fabric and jeans or heavier clothing, with only a few at a time and no other clothing. He stated he wanted to run a load of laundry to test the machine. My husband started putting clothes into the washer when the technician stopped him and told him to select only a few items of like size and fabric. The technician ran the load and called to inform me the machine had no problems and he was closing the ticket on the repair. I told the repairman to go home and ask his wife if she would be satisfied to do her laundry under the specifications he was informing me, this delicate machine (large capacity, supposed high power) requires. All of this to say, LG does not stand behind their product, the parts are sub quality and the massive recall on this machine only served to put a band-aid on a major problem. The machines should have been replaced and the customer should have been satisfied, instead of spending $850 on a machine that has lasted a total of 3 years. Do not buy LG, unless you have money to burn.

Ive read so many negative reviews about LG refrigerators not working that this seems superfluous but I need to vent. We purchased a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer 3 years ago during a kitchen remodel. It is a counter-depth with water and ice in the door. About 6 weeks ago, the refrigerator stopped cooling. We put a thermometer inside and the temperature was 57 degrees. We contacted our retailer, Abt, who immediately sent out a tech person and determined, with the assistance of LG tech, that the freezer fan wasnt working. The part was ordered, new fan installed, and the refrigerator temperature remained at 57 degrees. We called Abt again, tech came out and again, with the help of the LG tech, determined it was now the refrigerator fan. Part ordered, part replaced, temp still 57. Abt ordered a new control board, at the suggestion of LG tech, part ordered, couldnt be installed because it was the wrong part.We finally contacted LG. After long waits, requests to speak to managers, etc., we were finally referred to their Executive Services. Im guessing that this department handles difficult situations (or difficult people, although I havent been difficult until now, 7 weeks later). LG sent out their tech. Tech announced that the refrigerator was installed improperly because it fit too tightly in the cabinetry. Ok, this is a counter-depth, built-in refrigerator. Huh?So, LG Executive Services was called again. We asked for the installation manual and were directed to the online version. While the Exec. Services person (Tish) was on the phone, we read, aloud and together, the specs which stated the unit needs 1/8 on either side and minimum of 2 from the wall to the back of the refrigerator. The unit was installed properly. Tish insisted that it isnt and made me wait while she chatted with Engineering. Apparently, Engineering stated that there needed to be 1 on top for air flow. I asked Tish how I would have known that since its not published in the installation manual and I want a copy of that. 8 days have gone by and Ive not received anything. When I followed up today with Jenna, she said that, because I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the engineers will send the info to the BBB and they will respond to me. REALLY???Between the dates of April 4th and today, April 11th, Ive exchanged 12 emails with Marianne, at Executive Services, to no end. LG tech came out, again, with a 2nd tech at 7:30 PM! After much discussion, they determined it must be the control board or the sealed system. The control board was ordered and installed. Our interior refrigerator temperature is now 61 degrees from 57!! What a joke. So... today I spoke to 3 people at Executive Services: Tamica (totally useless), Willie and Jenna. Jenna seemed to at least want to do something. I shared that our daughter is getting married in 4 days, we are having a 40 person brunch on Easter Sunday, and I have no freaking refrigerator. The latest is... Jenna contacted the Tech Department and they want to put in a datalogger to clarify the issue. I asked what that meant, she didnt know. I asked how long it would be in the fridge, she didnt know. She said she sent an email to the tech engineer, tech manager, and Tech Support manager asking these questions. Do you think the problem with getting anything done has to do with too much weight at the top? Anyway, we have an appointment Thursday so the tech can put in a datalogger, whatever the hell it does.I cant even describe the frustration and anger held towards this company. I would have given them a 1 because, obviously, their products arent meant to last, but some of the folks at Executive Services and our tech have been nice and most seem to want to help. I wouldnt recommend LG products to anyone, ever, unless they want to be totally frustrated and throw money out of the window. Our previous refrigerator lasted 19 years and it was a Whirlpool... no brainer.[Updated on 04/20/2017] Felt my previous review needed updating and lowered my rating from 2* to 1. I still dont have a functioning refrigerator. Jenna, at LG, promised the datalogger, which never happened. After she contacted their tech people, they deemed my refrigerator installed improperly, again, and said sorry, we cant help you. So, after sending out their techs 4 times, replacing the motherboard, ordering the sealed unit, this is their decision? The unit is installed in accordance with the installation manual on line. Their engineers came up with different specs. Coincidentally, their cant fix it edict came on the heels of my response to their response to my complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Hmmmm... After reading the 1700+ complaints about LG products, the majority being refrigerators, Ive decided to take this further. So, This was a great fridge for about 4 years. Then it stopped making cold. We have been without a refrigerator for over 1 month. Monday 5/20/19 will be the 7th time a tech has come out in an attempt to fix this piece of garbage. Im sure he will replace a part, leave, and it will continue to not work. Then next week a tech will come out again, pick a single part to replace and leave. Ill wait another week and he will come replace that part. Im pretty sure after compressor, valve, drying unit, main circuit board, and capacitor you could have replaced the fridge twice for less money. So, keep paying the techs to waste my time and rest assured I will never buy another LG appliance as long as I live.

I purchased an LG model # LRFD22850ST about 5 years ago. On and off for the last 5 years, my fire alarms would go off. We could never find what the cause was. Thought maybe it was just the batteries needing to be replaced in my alarms. Never thought it could be the lights inside our refrigerator. Then one day, I opened up the refrigerator to the smell of burnt plastic. The light fixture cover was melted to the refrigerator. The sockets were black, and the food on the top shelf was as hot as if it just came out of the oven. I peeled off the light fixture and was able to get the light bulbs out. I unplugged the entire unit and called LG. They told me there was a problem (I later discovered there was a class action lawsuit) and that they would send someone out to fix the problem. No charge to me. I was told that I should be fine to plug the unit back in but to make sure not to put any light bulbs in. They set up an appointment with a service provider they chose. The service provider called me and LG and refused to take the call. They said it was very difficult to deal with LG and were never able to get the parts needed. LG then chose another service provider. Same story. They refused the call for same reason. LG then informed me that they ran out of service providers in my area and that my case was being transferred to the Locator Department (I guess this happens quite a bit for the company to set up an entire department to find people / someone to service their appliances!). They said that would take 5 - 7 business days. Of course, this was on a Thursday and Columbus Day is on Monday. So they probably wont even start to look till Tuesday, which means seven business days is actually more like 2 weeks. But I should be ok to plug it back in and wait all that time and take the chance that my house will burn down! I have spoken to several repair companies and many salespeople, and all seem to believe that if an appliance goes on fire you should never plug it back in. So Im off to buy another appliance. Dont think I will ever get anything from LG. Customer service was horrible. If youre looking at appliances, I would think twice on an LG product.

LG supervisor said that 3 items for my fridge are still under warranty and one of the items is a compressor. I asked the supervisor to send the compressor to me, but instead they want to send the compressor to their technician and the technician must come to my house. I had an experience with the technician about 2 weeks ago and the technician wanted to charge me over $400 for a problem that may not be the problem, and would charge me to fix other problems that might be the problem. Ripoff. Also, when the technician was at my house, he and the office said one thing to me but a different story to LG. I am in my 3rd week without a fridge. I spend money on ice, outside food and cold drinks.

After Redoing our house after Hurricane Sandy, I thought I would buy this Top of the line washer and dryer. The dryer is great, no complaints, however, the washing machine (Top-Load Direct Drive) does nothing but force dirty water through the clothes. Even with bleach, I could not get socks or floor washing pads at least clean looking. I despise this washing machine and will not buy another LG product especially from Home Depot. When I called about possibly getting service, they referred me to an Electronics company... Enough said. The electronics company wants to charge $80 to come Look at it. There is mechanically nothing wrong with the machine, it just doesnt work well and honestly, hasnt worked well since day one. This pushing water through the clothes is not effective at all. I would prefer a machine with an agitator but, those are hard to find. This machine is not that old and is not used all that much so, I have read reviews of the same situation and it is very clear not to buy this machine. I had read such great reviews for this machine but, am so disappointed because it has lead to nothing but additional costs for me to take at least some washes to the local laundromat on a regular basis. That is how ridiculous this has become. A fairly new (Bought in 8/2013) washing machine and I have to go to the laundromat to get my clothes clean. Buyer Beware on this product.

I like LG's consumer reviews and the looks of their products, particularly the dual ice makers and the nice LED lighting. However, the compressor went out in the first three years. That was why I had the compressor redone. I had to get the purchase agreement from the place that I bought it from, sent it over, and they came out and took care of it. The experience was amazing. Now, my ref is great.

Another LG appliance failure just over three years after purchase. Over the past year, I went back and forth with LG trying to get someone to repair my oven that was less than three years old and no longer working. After many phone calls, emails, email to company president with no response, I finally resorted to writing a scathing review on Consumer Affairs. My oven ultimately got repaired free of charge and I was happy.I purchased a LG LFXC24726S refrigerator on 3/6/2018 along with a full set of appliances. Up to this point, I have been happy with my purchase. I found out this morning that my compressor has failed. I reached out to LG via chat and explained my situation and asked what my options are for getting it fixed, assuming that the company would make it right for a loyal customer. And a loyal customer I am with over $10,000 of LG products in the home between appliances and electronics. I was told that the part has a ten year warranty and I would have to cover any labor costs. I am frustrated as I was appeased when this happened last time when the company provided the labor and part free of charge, as they should given the expense of the appliances and subsequent failure within 3 years. I was told that this is the company policy and they cannot cover labor expenses.I strongly believe that anybody with good business acumen takes care of their loyal customers because word of mouth can make or break a company. I am again, very disappointed that LG is not stepping up to the plate to take care of someone who has shown loyalty to the company over many years. I will give them another chance to make this right or else my business will be taken elsewhere in the future to a company who values their consistent customers.

LG washer front loader worst washer I ever own. We bought this washer 3 years ago for $1200 plus insurance for 3 years. And all those years I cried about wasting my hard working money on such a horrible washer! I have 6 kids, so we bought the biggest and the nicest washer. Called the service on it many times, but they all say that its supposed be this way. The washer doesnt use much water and clothes comes out smelly and sometimes dry in some areas. Plus the hot water option never actually gives the hot water. It gives only warm water... Please be aware and never ever buy from LG.

I have a LG Ft.Loader washer I bought from Sears around 2 years ago. Went to use it to wash clothes. When in the spin the washer makes a banging noise real loud.. turned it off. Called Sears to service it. They told me it would cost 250.00 dollars to come out and check it out plus parts if needed. I said no. Toomuch, just to check it out.. So I said the hell with it. I will buy a new one and not a LG. So I bought a Samsung top loader. So I will check out the old washer. I did. I found out what was wrong with it. I took the ft. cover off and the bottom right came off the tub. So found out what was wrong. The dummies that made this washer should have put washers on the bolts that hold the weights on. Its made like, you screw the bolt in this plastic thing that spreads open. In wear, it comes off. If they had used a washer on it, it would not done this. So I feel the washer is a piece of crap. Never to buy a LG washer again.

Purchased an LG gas dryer about 3 years ago to upgrade and be more energy efficient. My old dryer was 15 years old but worked just fine. Two days ago the LG dryer started to make a loud thumping sound. Upon further investigating I found a crack in the drum. I called the LG people and they said the drum has a 1 year warranty. My 15 year old dryer never had a crack. So needless to say I am not too happy about spending more money to repair their poorly made product. The person that I spoke with on the phone said that this was the first complaint about a cracked dryer drum. I think I must have been his first call ever because I can find plenty of complaints on the internet about this issue.

I purchased an LG electric oven about 2 months ago. Within the first 2 weeks of my purchase, the left front and back burners just stopped working. I called Home Depot, which gave me a number to contact for repair. I explained what happened and the first repair guy came with the stainless steel cover. After waiting all day, I told him that the cover was not the problem. He also agreed he needed the motherboard. So he rescheduled with me to come back. He returned and replaced the board after about a week. About 2 weeks later, the same two burners stopped working so we called back. Again, the repairman came to the house and brought another board and replaced it. This time it worked for 3 days and the same burners arent working again. I have called LG and complained each time. They tell me the same thing - that the tech has to determine that it is not fixable. I think this is absurd that you purchased a brand new product and are expected to keep getting it fixed. I purchased plenty of LG products and wanted to keep all the same brand, but you can be sure that I will never purchase an LG product again because they dont stand behind their product. I will be contacting Better Business and if I have to get a lawyer, I will do so. This is not acceptable and should not be tolerated by anyone. If something is faulty you, should get a new one immediately without question.

Updated on 11/29/2021: LG kitchen appliance buyer please beware. Again, based on my experience, any potential buyer should do research on the dependability of the product and any posted customer experience comments before purchasing any LG kitchen appliance. I made a post 2 months ago on the unreliable refrigerator I purchased and the lack of customer service from LG. Shortly after that post I got action, but it has turned out to be just lip service. I have provided everything LG requested to get a prorated reimbursement for the refrigerator. I have been told on several occasions the reimbursement is approved and the check has been mailed. To this date, 11/29/21, I still have not received the check and I still have an unreliable LG refrigerator. The “promises” of me receiving a reimbursement, which come from as high up of the “liaison of the president”, apparently are meaningless. Bottom line is if you are planning to purchase kitchen appliances please, please consider my situation in order to avoid hours and hours of wasted time and frustration as well as money if you go with LG.Original Review: LG kitchen appliance buyer please beware. Based on my experience, any potential buyer should do research on the dependability of the product and the customer experience comments when something does not work like it should. We purchased the French door refrigerator in November 2019. We started having a problem with the freezer compartment getting too warm in April 2021. This is October 2, 2021 and the problem still exists. The customer service department scheduled repairs. Nine technicians from two different companies have worked on the refrigerator. Many components have been replaced including thermostats, rear cover panel and the mother board that controls everything. The problem revolves around the defrost cycle and the unit not being able to recover from defrosting. The compartment gets too warm, 41 degrees. The refrigerator compartment also gets to 41 degrees. Multiple times everything in the freezer has thawed and turned to liquid. Ice melts in the ice dispenser and runs on the floor. The issue has been escalated 4 times now. Three of those have been to the Defective Returns Department. They rejected the claim first due to “improper submission of the claim by their representative” and a second time because “the person handling the claim no longer works for the company”. I have emailed the President twice without a response even though his webpage says he will respond. My experience has been extremely poor and I still have a defective refrigerator. For $3,100 I expected a unit that would perform and last for a number of years. The company has no doubt spent near that amount of failed repair attempts. I’ve been told that my unit qualifies for either replacement or refund due to the number of repairs and due to the failure of the company to schedule repair within 14 days. This problem is a nightmare and has no resolution within sight. Life’s Not So Good with this kind of customer service and a company that does not stand behind its product. Buyer beware!

Purchased LGs top of the line matching washer and dryer in Oct 2014. Since have had issues the last four months with OE code and repeated rinse cycles. VERY costly as I pay for water! I contacted LG and of course customer service, located in another country, cannot service the washer. They feel an almost four year old washer is well used! REALLY- washers average lifespan is 12 years on newer versions - older washers would go forever - 25 years plus! Very disgusted with LG customer service and more importantly their craftsmanship of poor quality! Pretty appliances, pleasing to the eye but purely JUNK! This company needs to step up to plate and take care of their customers. Buyer beware - one year new LG appliances that break cannot be fixed because LG discontinues the replacement parts!

We have had our refrigerator for less than three years. The compressor quit with no warning at the end of June. I called LG customer service the same day. At first I was impressed because the rep said someone would be out the next day. Great! Nobody came the next day. I called and said the appointment had been changed and they wouldn’t be there for a week. The repairman came and said yes, it’s the compressor and would have to order it. He scheduled the repair for it for a little over a week from then. Totally unacceptable but what can you do. He came as scheduled but had ordered the wrong compressor. He had to order a new one and couldn’t come back until July 24th.This is just ridiculous. We are not college kids needing to cool our beverages. This is a family with many spoiled products and over one month of no refrigerator. I think the company should take the old refrigerator immediately and provide a new one. Or else give our money back so we can get a reliable product from some other company. Will be telling my circle of people never to buy an LG product because they do not have an adequate solution to the problem.

We purchased an LG front load washer at Home Depot. Only after it was installed could we, and did we, learn that it vibrates incredibly loud on a firm modern floor regardless of the load and balance, and due to its very high spin speed. Home Depot and LG refuse to exchange it for a top loader. A Home Depot representative admitted that they intentionally do not mention that problem to potential purchasers. LG does not even respond to our many forms of contact. They both claim that the machine is working as designed, which can only mean that the design is defective. In our opinion, no one should purchase an LG front loader washer. We have had to resort to ridiculous and only partially successful steps to dampen the vibration and noise, such as cramming pool noodles around the washer (see attached photo).

We thought we were buying the greatest washer ever when we purchased the LG Top Load washer WT4870CW. It boasted inverter driven technology and was not supposed to go out of balance and could handle larger loads. From the very beginning, it took at least 2 - 3 hours to complete one load of laundry. The machine would go out of balance almost every time it tried to extract. We were cautious about washing like-weight items in an attempt to complete a load with less than five trips downstairs. Now, the washer wont even drain. We ordered a new drain pump and replaced it, but we still get the OE error every time it tries to drain and extract. The drain hose has been checked for kinks and there are none and there is nothing blocking the drain pump or hose. This is extremely frustrating! We spent far more money for this washer than others would have cost. Unless there is a recall or LG shares a suggested fix with everyone, I guess its time to throw the $800 machine away and buy something new. It most certainly wont be LG. I will never own another LG product again! I hope others learn from my mistake.

Im writing this letter in regards to my refrigerator. Ive been having problems with my refrigerator since last October after several repairs done to the refrigerator. I had contacted the LG company regarding the fault that I have with my refrigerator. A technician came to check the refrigerator and placed the monitor, and because that they had already replaced the part in the refrigerator previously, they said there was no fault found. So, I asked for a copy of the report, and they refused to send me a copy. They sent me another technician to install another monitor, and the technician was so ore gent man. He said to me I must have bad luck to have the same problem with the refrigerator. I said, Do not say that. Dont mix my luck with a faulty LG product.I called LG and Jackson company. I told them about what the technician said to me and told them I dont appreciate any one, no matter who you are, to come to my house and accuse me of having a bad luck. So, they told me that the manager is away to make the final decision. I kept calling LG, and they said the manager was on holiday that went for a couple of months. Then finally, when I called back in May, they said the manager was back and there were no faults found and that your warranty has expired; you have to get your own technician. When I was going back and forward with LG, I was dealing with Rod. I had mentioned to him if there were no fault found, if I could get a second opinion and compare the results with their report. He refused, and he said, If you get any one to check the refrigerator, it will be no longer covered by warranty. Finally, I called last 14/8/2012 and complained how its not fair that I have been treated like it. It is not my fault for having a faulty LG refrigerator. Im still waiting for Jackson to call me again, going through what we have been through for the past almost 10 months. Thank you for your time.

My wife had put on a fairly average load of laundry into our LG Washer (approx 3.5 years old) on Saturday, November 22, 2014. My wife and I had to drop off our special-needs son at his group home, and we had to run to the grocery store. My other son had errands, so he too had left the house. Upon returning from his errands (approx. one hour after we had left), my son tried to enter the laundry room via the garage entrance. He was unable to get past the door opening, as the washing machine was found in the middle of the walkway of the laundry room, water covered the floor, and holes were present in two adjacent walls. After entering the house through the front door, my son only made it to the middle of the hallway before he noticed the carpet was soaking wet. He proceeded to find the hall bathroom as well as entryway and closets of the bedrooms to be soaked with water with some rooms worse than others. The washing machine at roughly 90 degrees off from where it should be. The sides and back of the washer were pushed out and plastic washing machine parts were strewn across the laundry room floor and hallway (up to almost 12 ft. away at entrance to master bedroom). Whatever occurred, it had to have been a violent shaking with an explosion of parts as it produced holes in walls, denting of the drier, and water to flood multiple rooms. My concern is this could have occurred while we were present in the home and near the laundry room. This is particularly concerning as, prior to leaving, my special-needs son had had spent the night with us, and he was previously in the bedrooms and hallway adjacent the laundry room while the machine was running. This should be a concern for anyone who owns an LG washer or any other washing machine that is capable of such destruction. At this point, the damage to the house and appliances has been approximated to at least $6,000. It is possible the number will increase, should the carpet have to be replaced in multiple rooms. The washing machine has been without any known mechanical issues, since we purchased it from Sears (approx 3.5 years ago). This is the first time we have had any incident with the machine, let alone something of such significance.

Service man came out & just for labor $465 on top of the 2,700 I spent on the refrigerator 1.5 yrs ago. Customer service is a joke!! Theyre unwilling to do anything for me. My old refrigerator lasted 30 years. I shouldve bought another whirlpool!!! Basically LG is selling piece of crap products to continue making a profit off of people every time they break. DONT BUY LG!!! I wish I wouldve seen these reviews before buying!!!

I purchased an LG washer. After the warranty ran out, a tear appeared in the gasket around the washer. It seems like this is a default, this should not have happened in this small span of time. It will cost around $350 to repair plus the technicians fees. Im very disappointed in this machine and would not recommend it to anyone. A class action law suit sounds good to me.

I have had the service man come twice to repair my LG HT5101HV washer and the first time was for the software upgrade required by the recall. I thought it went well until I started to wash my comforter and found out it would not stay balanced no matter what I did to alleviate the problem. It took me over 2 hours to finish that load after manipulating it until I got it to finish. Wasting water galore on trying to rebalance it until it would spin dry. Also I didnt realize it but LG purposely slowed down the rpms on the washer that was rated at 1100RPM to max at 700 rpms. which to me is not high efficiently. So I continued to use the model and started to read reports of what the new software did to the washer. In my honest opinion these washers should all be recalled and replaced. They are not high efficiency anymore. They use water excessively and dont even wring out the clothes as dry as they were advertised which is one of the reasons I bought this model. Yes I liked the machine BEFORE the software upgrade and didnt have any problems with it but for safety reasons I called LG to fix it but wished I never had. The washer was fine except for the plastic support constructions and if you just load the washer correctly you would never have had a problem with it on that issue. Now I have to deal with LG on the fact that they said they cannot fix it and am waiting a call from their rep on the next step in this process after nearly a week of waiting for that call. Needless to say I am NOT a happy camper right now and want this corrected immediately and oh yes, I do not want another LG product after this episode. I just hope they will refund me my purchase price and I can go buy another brand and now I not sure what to buy anymore. I know that I had trouble with other brands before this one. Any suggestions? And raise cain if you arehaving the same problems with the new software upgrade. All I get now is a uE when it spins and it was even doing that when I was trying to clean the basket. That is not even reasonable...... DONT SETTLE for less than what you originally pay for and let LG know you are not happy with the upgrade on the recall.

I have raised a complaint on my recently bought LG washing machine direct drive on 24th December. LG service had come on 26th and said the panel has to be replaced and they have to get the panel from Cochin. Next day I called them due to lack of response and they said it has to arrive from Noida. Today we called and they said that part is no longer available. I trusted LG and purchased this product. Now I regret it. I suggest if LG has no commitment at making quality products then give me a temporary washing machine until the repair is over. I had a useless customer care experience. Only fake promises and nothing else. I have had same experiences with LG Refrigerator and Microwave oven which too have repair issues. I quit LG.

We needed a new refrigerator to replace one weve had for a number of years.
We needed a new refrigerator to replace one weve had for a number of years. It was just fine but getting old. I was very attracted by the fabulous design of the new model of the LG. It had the features that I was looking for and I was very happy to find it. But we got a lemon from them. Weve bought two from Home Depot because we live in Hawaii and out in the country a bit. Were also far from major stores, so we buy quite a bulk then go once a month or so to the store. Out where we live, everybody has at least two refrigerators. The design features of the products are wonderful but right after the holidays, the second one that we got from LG that my husband and I mostly use overflowed in the kitchen. Also, it would cool then it wouldnt. My husband had some ice cream bars in the freezer part and they were melting. Hes an engineer and he had been always able to figure out anything and take care of it. But in this case, it wouldnt hold because its electronic and you have to have the part. So we called LG and they had nobody out here to repair it. Theyd have to go to Honolulu, back and forth, and we got very frustrated with that because the refrigerator would start then it would stop continuously. So, we finally called the local repairman who is known all over the area here and the first words out of his mouth were that they dont touch LG. I asked why and he said it was because they get no support. So, back we were to the LG number available to us, which is out in the Philippines. Thank heavens it was in the Philippines and not India, because the Philippines serviced us very well as they could at their point and tried to help us. They suggested this and that and were very courteous. But we fiddled with this and that and nothing worked out of the things that they were recommending. Finally, they started referring me to the home office in Alabama and I got shunted around from one extension to another. Then in March, they were telling me that they got somebody here on the island that could help us. So the person came out and said that he had to order this and that part from Honolulu. That went on for a week then he came back and did nothing. The parts didnt come and they gave me one excuse after another. In the meantime, the refrigerator is completely dead as well as the icemaker. LGs reps didnt appear again and we had more calls back and forth. After that, another person came out and said that he was gonna order something. But he ended up in an auto accident and I got the report that he was injured and that they had to get somebody else. We went back and forth again for this on May and we were into the fifth month at the time. The darn thing cost me $3,000 and I was getting frustrated. Then I was hooked up again via the Philippines, routed again back to Alabama, and then I was telling them again what was happening and what they gotta do. Then this secretary who was out in the front shielding the calls in the office told me again that I had to talk to customer service for that. So, I slammed the phone down and called the attorney. Bottom line, we got no satisfaction and they were not fully prepared to handle and accommodate the product out where they are selling it. The right and the left hand arent getting together sufficiently. I was beside myself because I was caught in the middle. I was listening to my husband who was fit to be tied and mad and an engineer who expects things to be processed properly and wanted the details taken care of. He was all over my back to get some results and I was trying to get results from LG but getting nowhere. We were in town on Tuesday and we decided to swing in to Lowes and see what they have because we were gonna buy a refrigerator to replace that one. I talked to the Sears island repairman who now deals with all different brands, except LG, and asked him what he would recommend and what brands he repairs. I was ready to have only a very economic and simple model for this second backup refrigerator. Im also hoping the LG that I have in the kitchen doesnt poop out on me after all the extra loading from everything we lost in the other refrigerator. So, I found a basic model from Lowes that they will attach an ice maker to, which is the number one thing for my husband. And they’ll have it delivered then the Sears man will service it. It was easily and simple, and cost about 1/3 of the price of the LG. I will never buy an LG again.

Front Loading LG Washer - I have noticed the white laundry coming out with gray blotches on it. This is with the use of bleach and the monthly cleaning regimen suggested by LG upon purchase at Home Depot. Yesterday, I opened the door and found little glass beads in with the laundry. I dont have a clue where they came from and after submitting an inquiry to LG, I was informed that I needed to send a photo of the beads in an email so they could determine what they are. Im not sure what to do.

The dryer is efficient however, the front loader filter that is located inside the door, requires constant monitoring for tears and dismemberment of the felted seal. This prevents the dryer from either being more efficient or rendering a timely and efficient manner in drying the clothes. We have noticed that when we attempt to fix the felt, and a proper seal is achieved inside the dryer, the clothes dry quicker and more thorough.

I too have had the exact same problems that Karen of Fort Wright posted on
I too have had the exact same problems that Karen of Fort Wright posted on Oct. 22, 2012. I also bought my LG French door refrigerator 3 1/2 years ago from Sears. I was planning to purchase a Kenmore, but i would have to wait almost 2 weeks which I couldnt do. The salesman talked me into getting the LG model (August 2009). After 14 months of use, the fridge stopped working (October 2010)! I didnt purchase the extended warranty (never have found them worth paying for as I have never needed to use one). Needless to say, I contacted Sears for repair. The repairman diagnosed a blown fuse, which meant replacing the circuit board also. Repair was approximately $300.00 in all. The fridge has been working fine until yesterday, Dec. 21, 2012! Of course because it is only 5 days before Christmas, we were fully stocked up and expecting a houseful of company on the 25th! We had to empty everything out! Run all of this food out to the garage, wipe the fridge down so it doesnt smell and hope the authorized repairman can stop by sometime Christmas eve. He is only working a half day, but I will try to make it. Talk about pressure! This is just terrible, terrible timing. A terrible waste of money and a terrible product! Save your self the headache and do not purchase LG! Not only expensive to repair (with or without the warranty), but extremely frustrating!

It has met my expectations. The price was decent. I really liked the look of the fridge inside and out. The size of the refrigerator was just what I needed at the time. I like the stainless steel exterior of the unit. I like the available space inside. It is quiet when it operates. It is easy to clean an looks great in my kitchen. The only negative comment I would have is that the temperature seems to fluctuate a little bit sometimes. Sometimes the food in the freezer is rock hard and some times a little soft esp. The ice cream.
