We purchased our Samsung RF32MWDBSR at HHGREG on 10/12/2014, in Fort Wayne Indiana, am I thankful we purchased the 5 years warranty, never planned to have to use a warranty on such an expensive item but for weather considerations on a $2749.00 model you will consider. I paid an additional $449.99 for 5 yrs warranty to which is SLOW AND SLOWER to have repairs done. This is my 3rd complaint and according to their 3 complaints and Ill replace it with a NEW ONE I am waiting to see. I am not happy with this model. It has had so far, our first repair was on 7/23/2015 when compressor 66A and 34 A went out. E23/ Cond Fan error & Main PCB FAILURE. All this occurred the 1st time, then it would not cool equally as said to be in manual. We called in 2nd complaint they refused to send a repair man out. They made issue to call the other warranty program and give us the runaround. We called the other and nothing happened, then after 6 months they finally issued a check for loss of food for $200 which didnt even come close to all we lost two times. The refrigerator still has a flood of issues they wont fix. I have again just today decided to call in again and ask for a ticket order, all automated, with a 999-999-9999 number to call. Its a joke!! I put in for now a third service call because freezer ice maker is dead for 3 months cause they lost my last service ticket AGAIN... oh my! Well all I can say is Samsung offers no help whatsoever, on this faulty model and have no plans to help their customers who have a 5 yr warranty out either. I would love to sue them! It is beyond a recall when their product cant run for more than 8 months between major repairs. THEY LIE ABOUT WARRANTY CALL INSURANCE. They do not stand behind their product. PLEASE BUYERS BEWARE!

Purchased a brand new Samsung counter depth fridge. Ice maker continued to freeze up and eventually was unable to make ice. After two repair visits ($180) from the local company I purchased it from (someone I had dealt with for years and was an authorized dealer) I decided to call Samsung. After a few hours of problem determination (including defrosting the unit again and chipping away the ice) the issue was considered corrected. Of course a month later same issue - contacted service again and they scheduled a service call. The service tech was there 30 seconds and knew exactly what the problem was. There is a significant gap between the inside wall and ice maker allowing air into the unit. Very obviously a manufacturer defect and one they had seen many times before.I contacted Samsung service again - explaining the issue and requesting to be reimbursed for my third service call (Im now up to $270 on a 2 1/2 year old unit that I paid $3500 for) and was not very politely told the unit was out of service, it was not a known defect, and they would not reimburse my service call. Sad but true, worst part is they would not own up to the defect, although the tech told me they are required to report their repair fixes which they have done many on these units. They even carry a special tube of caulking with them just for these units. Good luck buying one - last Samsung product I will ever purchase!

I have had my Samsung stove in my house for 9 weeks and have had two different service requests during that time. After a month the entire top stopped working. No burners. It was repaired and I was thankful. 7 weeks into the use of my stove, I turned on the oven and after 5 or so minutes smoke started billowing from it and a terrible burning smell filled the air. There was nothing in my oven at the time and the smoke was actually coming from the back. With the assistance of my husband I pulled the stove away from the wall to see flames pouring out the back of my stove. We got it unplugged and the flames out. Had I not been in the room at the time, my kitchen would have gone up in flames. It has been two weeks since that incident and I still do not have stove. Samsung came across as caring at the beginning and sent a service technician, but they will not respond to me anymore. The service technician recommended a replacement of my stove but Samsung issued a repair order. Samsung connected me to someone in management via email, but they won’t acknowledge my concerns or even respond to my emails. It is an absolutely terrible product, and terrible customer service. This was my first and last Samsung appliance purchase. Do not buy this stove.

For the fourth time the in-door ice maker has stopped dispensing ice. When we remove the ice tray, there is a large chunk of ice in the back of the ice maker. We defrost and reinstall the ice dispenser and it works for a month or so, then freezes up again. Very frustrating. The refrigerator is less than one year old, the 31 cu.ft. French Door model.

I launched a complaint against my refrigerator which I purchased in July 2011. When we start the refrigerator, it is shaking and sounds so high. But after sometime, it will become okay again. After sometime, it creates the same problem. I complained to the dealer and he sent a person. But he cant solve the problem, again after 4 or 5 days. I will come and I will try to solve. But 17 days had passed and there’s no information, nothing. I think this is such a renowned company showing their negligence.

In 2013 we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator French door up and down. We paid 2,999.00. First we had the ice bucket replaced twice. This took several months each time to get a service order number. The problem existed. Finally the third repairman told us there was a Freon leak which couldnt be fixed. In March 2015, Samsung finally agreed it was a manufacturing problem and we would be refunded the full amount of our purchase price. I have made well over 50 documented calls to find out when we would receive our check. We have been without a refrigerator for over three months. Each time I call, I speak to a different person. I have been told I would receive a satisfaction survey many times which I have never received. We are still waiting for our check which was apparently mailed over a month ago. This whole experience has convinced me Samsung does not care one bit about their Customer Service. We have many Samsung products. I now pray nothing happens to any other Samsung product. Im not sure I could go through this awful nightmare again.

Whatever you do DO NOT buy a Samsung refrigerator. Mine is 4 years old. There is a design flaw in the ice maker. The ice maker has been making ice that is wet and the unit freezes up. Samsung told me to defrost the ice maker with a hairdryer. Did that. 3 weeks later same thing. This has been going on for 5 months. Samsung will not do anything to repair it. SAMSUNG IS WELL AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM. READ THE REVIEWS. BUYER BEWARE.

We bought a Samsung RF26J7500SR 3 door refrig eleven months ago. WHAT A POS. The refrig compartment fan system keeps freezing up (repairman said its an inherent design error! ), preventing it from staying cold. We threw out everything inside on Labor day as all the food spoiled waiting the 12 days for the repairman. Then I was told we had to reschedule since the refrig needed to be unplugged for 48 hours for all the internal ice covering the fan blades to melt. On the return visit days later parts were replaced and a factory anti-freezing kit installed. Now, two months later, the fridge is full of Thanksgiving leftovers and its warm inside again, seems like the same problem. Samsung customer service can only confirm its broken, gave me the number of a local repair guy that will fix it under warranty. I assume the repairman will give me an appointment 12 days from when they call me back, which was how long it took for them to come to the house for the first repair!!! Looks like we will throw out everything again. What a joke. I will have to take another vacation day to wait for the repairman. Anyone who buys a Samsung refrigerator needs their head examined!!! I will never ever buy another Samsung appliance of any kind.

I bought a Samsung 4 door convertible refrigerator 3 years ago. Several months ago the top refrigerator compartment was no longer cooling. I visited the Samsung website and created a service ticket. Within a couple days I had a Samsung technician at my home to diagnose and repair my refrigerator. After 15 minutes the tech informed me that my refrigerator was unrepairable. The technician said my refrigerator had a 5 yr warranty on the closed system and he would upload pictures and his report to my service ticket and I should expect a call from Samsung within a couple days.Following two weeks, numerous phone calls, and hours on hold I received an offer from Samsung to buy my refrigerator back for the purchase price plus tax. At this point I was relatively satisfied even though my family had been without a refrigerator for over two weeks. That was 5 weeks ago and still no check and no resolution in sight. I have contacted Samsung numerous times and all I get is excuses and runaround. I had read numerous complaints about Samsungs poor customer service, but I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt; they have failed me. Needless to say there will never be another Samsung product in this house. Appliance buyers beware.

Im as upset about this issue as Ive ever been about dealing with a manufacturer. I will never purchase a Samsung brand device or appliance. The unit is a RF266AWEP. It stopped cooling 7 days ago and my wife and I have been taken on a journey of phone calls and multiple transfers to Samsung executive support staff all resulting in a cowardly This service ticket has been cancelled email that came through last night. We paid for an Samsung authorized repair technician to troubleshooting the unit. I was hoping the issue would be something simple and they could fix it. The service tech stated that the issue was with the compressor and would cost around $800-1200 in labor to repair. But, great! That part (and labor to repair) is still under warranty so we call up Samsung and spend a total of 12 hours over the course of 3 days on various phone calls, speaking to support reps. There are 3 authorized Samsung service centers in our area. The one that came out, refuses to perform the repair work because they are overbooked. The second refuses to come out because another repair provider has already looked at the unit. The third does not have someone that can perform closed system compressor work. So in the end, no one will fix our Refrigerator and Samsung just closed the ticket and left me a voicemail stating the ticket is closed. The end. This whole process feels extremely shady. I think they are trying to force us to just give up and go buy a new fridge. Dont buy Samsung products. If you have, good luck with warranty repairs.

Samsung refrigerator model RB217ACRS/XAA is simply a terrible appliance. Firstly, it is so loud! Every time the ice maker comes on, it sounds like an earthquake (I live in California). On several occasions, my guests have actually gasped. If its ice time, you have to turn up the TV. Its so loud, its ridiculous! Secondly, the handle on the freezer routinely snaps off.And then, at 16 months post purchase, the ice maker, the freezer and the control pad on the front of the door stopped working. The repairman told me, with a straight face, that I wasnt closing the door properly. Im 54, I have a masters degree and I raised two children; I know how to close the door. Thankfully I had an extended warranty. It’s the only one I have ever purchased. I should have known when the salesperson was so adamant that I really needed one for this refrigerator. I just thought they were being pushy, now I know. The repair was made, and I was reimbursed for lost food. But now, well, this 18 month old Samsung continues to frost-over on the top shelf (of the freezer) and not be cold enough on the bottom shelf. Yes, I have tried changing the settings; Ive tried everything. I can only use the very bottom shelf of the freezer, because the top shelf is frozen over. However, on the bottom shelf where the cardboard boxes (like the one where frozen entrées are in) are wet and disgusting. As for the ridiculously loud ice maker, I have to dump the ice every other day or it turns into one big rock. I thought I was being so smart and cool when I bought this Samsung refrigerator - it was rated so highly! Well, learn from me; dont do it. It’s the worst appliance I have ever encountered. They make good TVs, but leave it at that!

Nov. 2009 we bought a new fridge. After 2 days the water quit dispensing. The fridge was replaced. 2 days later the new fridge wouldnt dispense water. Next tech put in a heater to keep the reservoir for the water from freezing. Next the space saver ice maker quit. It got replaced. Next event was the control panel went out. It was replaced Sept. 2012. Now Jan. 2015 the control panel is out again. Weve called several service companies, including Sears Blue Crew, but no one services our area; they used to. This fridge has had service every year. Now out of warranty Samsung says they cant do anything to help us, not even find us service for the fridge. I know well never, ever, buy one of Samsungs appliances again.

Buyer beware of purchasing any Samsung home appliance. I purchased a complete stainless steel kitchen set, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, in July, 2017. They look beautiful, but dont work. Repairmen have been to my home eight times in 4 months. Only the microwave has been problem free. The ice maker has been replaced three times and still makes slushy ice. The dishwasher was delivered with multiple problems, which Samsung claimed were not their fault. Begging with Home Depot got me a replacement from them, not Samsung. Now the finish is coming off in black globs. The stove had an oven door that did not close properly. Multiple trips by Samsung repairman finally resulted in having to have the oven door replaced. That only occurred after long conversations with Samsung customer service, and a request for the address of their administrative office. They said they were doing it for me as a one time courtesy. Their repair service (Lake Electronics in our area) matches Samsung in their incompetence and customer disservice. Be smart and invest your hard earned money in a company whose products are worthwhile.

I cant remember how many times we have had the repairman out for this worthless machine. For a variety of problems including broken clips which found their way into the motor area and water intake problems. One of the wheels on the bottom rack frequently comes off. Yesterday, the machine stopped working again, this time with no error message. It starts by draining (okay), then starts water inflow (okay) and then does nothing as the clock counts down. I now agree with my husband that it is not worth fixing AGAIN and time to buy a decent dishwasher. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance ... ever. I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator (RF25HME) back in December 2017, and on October 3, 2019 the ice maker stopped working. Did my research and found out that many consumers are complaining about the same issue. For an undetermined reason, the ice maker fills with frost, which turns into blocks of ice, not allowing the ice to be made, and locks up the auger.Spent part of my weekend defrosting the ice maker. I have not had to defrost a freezer or refrigerator since I was a child (50 years ago). I have had other refrigerators with ice makers (Amana, GE) and never had this issue. I will be contacting Samsung, but based on what I have seen on the internet, I dont believe they will be interested in fixing it. (out of warranty) Stay away from Samsung refrigerator!!

Will never purchase another Samsung anything. Purchased 28 cu ft refrigerator year and half ago. Problems w/ the ice maker from the day I purchased. Same as other customers - ice maker noisy and would freeze up. You call Samsung and they walk you through everything you have already done and then refer you to another number that will get back to you. When they do they leave a message to call back to the original number. Called again and was told Id be referred to an authorized repair dealer. Then notified 3 days later that there was none in my area. I did some searching and found one who stated they were. They came out the next day and found the problem (definitely Warranty) but fridge was over year old. I had been dealing with this problem since I purchased it and was told noise was normal. Took about 39 min for technician to discover the ice maker was assembled incorrectly from the factory. He reassembled it and put it back in and the ice maker has been working well (its terribly slow) for 4 days now. No knocking and loud noises. Interesting that he figured it out and Samsung didnt have a clue. Apparently they have been installed in the factory incorrectly. Ill gladly join a class action suit against them! Samsung doesnt seem to care about the consumer at all. Samsung Blue Ray DVD player just quit after approximately a year. Had been a gift from our daughter. I love the fridge when it works but am very worried reading other complaints. Ice maker was terrible until technician from Back Canyon City (small town north Phoenix) came to the rescue. Thank you Jeremy of Accredited Appliance.

3 of 4 Samsung appliances have now died in 5 yrs. Today SMH9187 microwave door latch broke after giving Error 13 the other day. Reading other reviews Im now afraid it will turn on by itself and burn my house down! Worse, Samsung dishwasher broke in 18 months and not only leaked on my hardwood floors but got so hot I needed a potholder to turn off after 5 hrs and it wouldnt stop. Lowes at least stepped in, said these were so bad I got a new Bosch Ive loved now for 3 yrs. Samsung counter depth refrigerator also had icemaker die in under 2 yrs. Lowes replaced it due to extended warranty but now 3 yrs later I tried again with warranty expired. Also had 2 Samsung LCD TVs die in 2 yrs, with both a Blu-ray player and separate DVD go belly up in that time too. Stupid name for ever buying anything from them after 2nd item. Needless to say I will NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG! Unbelievably bad quality and worse, truly dangerous!! Stay away, hope they go out of business soon.

I bought a French Door, 2 drawer blue stainless Samsung refrigerator Model # RF25HMEDBSG 19 months ago. The icemaker started freezing up immediately after the 12 month warranty expired. I have deiced the icemaker 4 times in the last seven months. This week the fan in the back started making noise because it was rubbing on an ice buildup in the coils. This isnt what I expected when I laid out $ 2,088 for what I thought was a quality product. I didnt think I would need an extended warranty to cover the first three years. Wrong!! I looked at a YouTube video which saved me a service call which would have cost about $300 from Dish. What I learned was that there is a way to do a manual defrost for the coils that is not in the Users Manual. Empty your refrigerator. On my model, press the top item on the left side of the display which is Freezer and the middle item on the right side which is Lighting and hold for 12 seconds. It will go through a series of displays and stop on the last which is FD for Fast Defrost. This activates the heating elements to defrost the coils. It beeps for 30 or 40 minutes then stops which I assume means that the defrost is complete. I carefully defrosted the icemaker with a heat gun on low from a distance. That was 3 days ago and I have icemaker ice and no fan noise. We shall see how long it holds up. The YouTube showed an older model but by pressing the SAME LOCATIONS on the display twelve seconds, FF came up and he had to press a function three or four times until the Fast Defrost FD started. Use at your own discretion. I hope this saves you some repair $$.

Updated on 05/05/2020: Sumsung does not stand by their appliances. Two weeks ago, my Samsung microwave - 4-1/2 yrs.old - turned itself on. Didnt hear it running until the fan came on. By that time, it had melted a splatter cover to the turntable. We had to unplug it to get it to stop. The unit was red hot. If we werent home, there could have been a serious fire. Samsungs response - a free service call to diagnose the problem. We would have to pay for the part ($121) plus labor. They assume no responsibility for a potentially dangerous situation. Weve already replaced the Samsung French door refrigerator because of a defective ice maker that would cost $500+ to repair (there is a class action lawsuit concerning this) as well as a potential $300 fan repair. We have had to replace the control panel on the Samsung range 5 months ago. All the Samsung appliances were bought new and delivered Jan. 29, 2015. My advice to anyone considering Samsung appliances - find another brand. Regardless of what Consumer Reports says (which we consulted before making the purchase), buy ANYTHING but Samsung. Thanks for letting me vent.Original Review: We have a Samsung microwave purchased on 2014. Today, the microwave evidently turned itself on without the fan. By the time the fan turned on and I heard it running, it had melted a plastic splatter cover to the turntable. We were unable to turn it off and had to go to the breaker to shut it off. If we werent home at the time, there could have been a fire in our kitchen. This is a very dangerous situation. This is the second Samsung appliance causing issues. We just replaced a Samsung refrigerator also purchased in 2014 that had weekly ice maker jams (we understand there is a class action suit against Samsung for this issue). All I can say is it is very fortunate we were home when the microwave malfunctioned. I intend to replace the microwave and report this issue directly to Samsung. Im sure there is no recourse except to repair or replace the unit. At this point, I have lost all faith in any Samsung appliance and will never purchase this brand again.

My 2014 french door refrigerator, Model RF263BEAESR, began flooding below the pantry pan in the refrigerator section last spring. The first fix at our expense lasted about 2 weeks. Samsung agreed to pay for the 2nd fix, which has lasted for 3 months. Now it has the same problem again and they refuse to pay for the fix again. Their new policy is to only pay for repairs ONE time once an appliance is out of warranty, even if the repair is for the same problem that was obviously not fixed by previous repairs. Our repairmen told us that this model and others like it clearly suffer from a design defect, which Samsung refuses to admit is the case. Interestingly, turning off the icemaker prevents the periodic flooding. So our choices now are to pay every few months to have it fixed, to leave the icemaker off, or buy a new refrigerator. I will never buy any product from Samsung again.

Because the repair is starting to equal another fridge! Samsung you make these and you cant fix the ice buildup problem? What the hell is wrong with you people? Do you not care? Im a widow and cant afford a repairman twice a year to deice this piece of crap. When searching google for the problem there are a million videos about ice buildup. SO YOU KNOW THERE IS A PROBLEM. I bought the Samsung French door refrigerator last Thanksgiving and it has been nothing but trouble ever since. The ice maker clogs and the refrigerator will not hold the temperature I set. We have had a repair person here numerous times (bought it from Lowe’s) who failed to repair it and dented my refrigerator door as well. Much food has been spoiled. And now it is Christmas and we have no refrigerator we can count on. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!! Youll be sorry!! Thank God its winter in Pennsylvania and I can keep my food outside. Every summer the Samsung refrigerator model RF266abbp starts making a loud noise like an old fan. Every time we open the door it will stop and then it will start if we close it. The repair man came and said just unplug it and let it all the water from freezer flow out for at least 24 hours; then, let it dry and plug it again. Its been the third summer with the same stupid thing. I was cleaning the shelf with the thin glass, the vegetables and fruit compartment with 2 drawers, and the glass exploded! Yes, it exploded! I got glass in my arms and around my kitchen. There were very small cuts in my arms. It’s nothing threatening, but it scared me! I don’t know what to do or how to complain (if it’s useful)!

My appliances are not a year old. Spray arm fell off dishwasher. Microwave is a piece of garbage. Refrigerator/freezer makes so much noise that we have to close our bedroom door to sleep because it sounds as if someone is trying to break in. I am so disappointed. I have had to call Samsung for support and am amazed. You can not understand the service representatives. The service representatives know absolutely nothing and continuously put you on hold for long periods of time. Who has time for this? Many dont they stand behind these supposedly top of the line products that cost a fortune? What can I do?

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator from Croma, Bangalore on 17/10/2014. Model number FF253LRT27HAJMASE. In June I noticed that some food particles in the plastic grid in freezer. My shock I found that the plastic grid is lined with Thermocol, obviously it cannot be cleaned properly because Thermocol is a porous material and particles got embedded in the same. My grievance is - why make a grid in the base of freezer compartment which cannot be cleaned by the user? Secondly, why use Thermocol embedded in the grid so it impossible to clean and subsequently it will develop fungus. The design is absolutely defective. In the door of the fridge, there are only two and a quarter racks, why like normal fridges 3 or 4 racks have not been provided?

Horrible. Bought Samsung fridge, dishwasher and microwave approximately 3 years ago. The freezer had to be repaired last year, out of warranty of course. Now the ice/water dispenser is showing rust on the outside of our pretty white fridge. The microwave and dishwasher are both dead. Error codes on the microwave and the dishwasher just cycles on and off without actually running the wash. Samsung customer service was ZERO help since the appliances are all off of warranty. Our own repairman says they will cost $150- $250 a piece to fix. Appliances should last longer than three years when we invested thousands of dollars in them!! No more Samsung EVER and we will make sure all our family and friends buy Otherwise as well!

ALL 3 pieces (which one has been in use LESS than 8 weeks) have a malfunction, from NOT working AT all, to the electronics board on the stove/oven working on & off. The manufacturer expects me to wait up to 2 weeks for repair service. OR I can PAY for the repair myself they said. These appliances have not been in use for 4 months yet & they do NOT WORK properly. LOWES only honors returns for 90 days, I am 20 some days too late, & #LOWES will not service them either, BUT I STILL HAVE to PAY LOWES for broken appliances. Their CS sucks! They could care less they sold me some lemons. The appliance repair company 15 minutes from me, will NOT service the appliances because they said #Samsung will NOT PAY THEM enough to cover their costs, UNACCEPTABLE! It’s the 2015 Samsung four door refrigerator. We have done everything to make it work for us. Finally this month we bought another refrigerator, obviously a different name brand. Fridge - weve had problems from the start. Samsung has sent local technicians to fix it 5-6 times now, including the main computer board and the compressor (twice). The last time the tech came, he said he doesnt know what else to do, and recommends it be replaced. Samsung has denied this and says it is repairable. So we are stuck between Samsung saying its fixable and the tech saying he doesnt know what to do. THIS IS HOW WARRANTIES WORK???I have been patient for six months trying to deal with this, but Im done. I am telling everyone I know to never buy a Samsung appliance ever again. Oh, and last week our dishwasher broke. We bought it just under a year ago, but they dont even read emails. I clearly explained that 06-10-2014 meant OCTOBER 6th, and NOT June 10. But they didnt even read the email I sent with the receipt and simply denied the claim, so now Im having to deal with that. Every single miscommunication costs a week in terms of getting repairs done in a timely fashion. Oh, and if Samsung EVER tells you they will call you back in 24 hours, DO NOT believe it. They have told us that 5-7 times during these processes and never once did they do so.

The doors to my Samsung refrigerator are supposed to be stainless steel, but they are rusting. I have cleaned the stainless using mild soap, hot water to clear gunk, then wipe and apply a high quality stainless polish. I started seeing the rust a couple of months ago and have been cleaning them up. Although I am cleaning them, the rust is now starting to pit. This refrigerator is only 15 months old! I bought through Sears including the warranty, but they are saying rust is not covered as it is a cosmetic item. I called Samsung and they immediately said there was nothing they would do as this is a cosmetic item. If this were steel or if I had been scrubbing the front with steel wool, etc., I could understand their stance, but this has been well cared for. By the way, did I say this was our second refrigerator in one year?! The first one died within a month, three days before Thanksgiving! Sears says theyd send a tech in two weeks! The local Sears store sent a new fridge out the next day, but we lost $400 worth of food and although we bought the extra protection for spoiled food from Sears, they would not cover the food as a tech did not look at the refrigerator first! So, next with our new refrigerator, we have had two icemakers and still have lots of problems with it! I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone! Neither Sears nor Samsung would do anything for me regarding this issue. So my $1200, 13-month-old investment from Sears is now rusting in my climate-controlled home! I do not recommend either Sears or Samsung as they have lied about the material this refrigerator is made from.

It worked fine until months ago when we had Samsungs provider One Stop Appliance come and fix it. $330 and a 90 day warranty. At 120 days the same problem occurred so we called the Geek Squad because we purchased it at Best Buy. They came and fixed the exact same problem for another $330. Bought the refrigerator (Model RF263AEBP) and electric range in August 2010 and have had nothing but problems with the refrigerator since we bought it. Same problems as everyone else is having, freezer has ice accumulation and ice maker quit working. Ice accumulation in the vents in the refrigerator causing water to settle under the drawers and on the kitchen floor. Refrigerator and freezer quit cooling. Repairman finally came out the first of December and told us it has a Freon leak but would have to come back and do a dye test to see where leak is. In the meantime he did something to mess up the compressor so he had to order a new one (Thank goodness it was still in warranty). This was before Christmas. Set an appointment to come back January 16, 2015, to replace compressor. Advised us that he would change out some parts (that we had to pay for) but in probably 4 years we will have the same problems because it would be out of Freon again. Guess they cant fix the leak. If the leak cant be fixed it seems like they would replace the refrigerator. Could not go through Christmas without a refrigerator so we had to buy a new one and believe me it was not a Samsung. I have noticed the last time I did the self clean on the oven, it did not even clean it good. Will not buy another Samsung.

We bought this refrigerator when we built our new home back in July 2012. From day one, the ice maker didnt work right. I found myself waiting for ice for what seemed like forever. As time went on, it made less and less ice. Then it stopped making cubed ice and it almost was the consistency of a snow cone. Then another issue with it spitting out a good amount of water before the ice would come out, leaving water on my beautiful new hardwood floors. Not to mention it usually got all over myself as well. One day I noticed that the door was not in the track, allowing the cold air to leak out around the doors. I thought this might be why we were having the ice maker problems. So I gave it another week to see if the issue would resolve itself after fixing the doors. It broke... I dont know what in the world happened, it just stopped working altogether. So I called the company and after telling them I was completely done with this refrigerator and the constant ongoing issues, I wanted it fixed ASAP. The service company they referred me to said they couldnt come out for a week. I find this unacceptable on many levels. So I called Samsung again to tell them about the delay. They informed me that I would be hearing from an executive team member in 24-48 hours. Three days later, I called them because I never got a call. The employee apologized, took note of my complaint and assured me I would hear from someone in another 24-48 hours. Here I am, 3 days later, and I am yet to get a phone call. Like many other of the complaints I read, I too have had to eat out and spend countless dollars. And of course I had just gone to the grocery store the day before it broke completely. I will never buy another product from this company and I definitely would NEVER recommend Samsung to anyone.

I purchased a French door with freezer on bottom; within a few months, the right side handle came off. I called Samsung and was told they would send me a new handle; never received a handle. Now, in the last few days, the left side handle’s paint is peeling, like it’s been repainted. I will never buy anything Samsung again, especially after seeing all the bad reviews.

Black French door Refrigerator Model # RF263AEBP. After just over 1 year from purchase, we were alerted to our 1st of now 3 water freeze-up in our fridge. In time #1 & 2 noted water on kitchen floor which was ultimately also on the floor of refrigerator section. Warranty was expired. Thank goodness for websites like this and youtube as we determined the problem was water line freezing and ultimate ice back up. Ice was thick all over the coils and drain clogged with ice. After following youtube directions all was fixed and we felt pretty darn happy with ourselves. (Rightly so as based upon reviews here not only do Samsung techs not know what’s going on - there is no fix, thats clear - but private techs dont know either and all just sell you a bill of goods you dont need.)About 6 months later we were alerted to the problem again in the same way described above. Followed the same youtube process and although this is getting old, solved the problem. Its been over a year and no freeze ups. Until 2 days ago. This time no alert of water, simply the fridge was warmer than usual. Rebooted the fridge and the sensor panels. The key here we didnt hear the fan going. Fridge and freezer cold enough but no noisy fan motor (a lifetime issue with this fridge). Again alerted by one of the reviews, we tried to do what we always do but this time it took 40 min to remove the back panel to access the frozen coils. When we finally got it off the fan was still under over 3 inches of ice (fan is on the back panel). Well after another hour of defrosting all ice with hair dryer and clearing the iced up drain.. all was cleaned (only positive occurrence for me) and put back.Well, while ice is gone, this must have been the straw on the camel’s back as even though the fan moves freely it seems the motor probably has had it. Froze up too long. No early alert system which clearly this defective product needs. I am mad. Not at defective product but at the dismissive attitude of this company to all those who have been trying to go through the proper channels. I do have no choice but to call my regular appliance company who I trust. Then Ill decide whether or not to repair or replace. Its a shame because the physical structure Im happy with. But will never, ever, ever buy an appliance that has any association with Samsung in the future...

4 year old Samsung refrigerator that cost $3000 is junk. Already spent $800 fixing it once and now the ice maker requires a $850 repair that is not guaranteed to resolve the problem. Since it is 3 months out of warranty they will charge $95. When I asked who would be responsible for the $500 of food that will be spoiled in 10 days, they said it was my problem! I have owned 5 refrigerators and never had any problems with them in over 15 years! Tried to complain directly to the company thru computer but no type of communications was available. Very disappointed with the quality of their product and will never buy a Samsung product again. Their service contacts were not at all interested in my problem and their factory service dept response time is not available in a timely manner!

We purchased a Samsung fridge model number RF217ACRS on September 19th 2010 from Sears outlet in Connecticut. We have three very small children: a 4-year old, 14-month old and a 2-month old. This past weekend my daughter was getting ice out of the freezer. My 14-month old son walked over to the side. She shut the freezer and my son let out this blood curdling scream. My husband scooped him up and there was blood everywhere. We realized something serious had happened. His finger tip had been cut off. We had to get his finger tip out of the side rail and rush him to the E.R. where he was then transported to the childrens hospital to reattach his finger tip. Unfortunately, his little finger was so small that they could not attach it. It was cut off clean at the joint above his knuckle. His little hand is maimed. It will never look normal. It was incredibly traumatizing for my husband and I. In a million years, we would never think a freezer drawer would pose as a danger in amputating a finger. This is beyond a faulty product. This is encompassing design flaw as well.

WHEN I moved into my home, there was a Samsung dishwasher, brand-new. This was almost 4 years ago. My hope by writing this is to educate consumers about my experience. It was non-stop issues from the first month. Over the years, I replaced the pump. I had a number of repairmen out, who each time took a look at the dishwasher and laughed. They all told me it was a hunk of junk and dont waste money on it. Over the 4 years I spent over $800 on repairs. Now, it broke again. I have replaced it with a Frigidaire. I am very easy on my appliances, I ran it about 3-4 times per week. I used the best detergents only. I scrape dishes thoroughly. My things last me many many years. This did not last me at all - as I was contacting repair people the entire 4 years. I fear I have other Samsung appliances that were here when I moved in. I have heard from too many in the appliance industry as to the track record of Samsung appliances. I wish to educate potential consumers as to my experience, the money incurred - the waste.I should also mention I contacted Samsung a few times. They could not care less. Besides not speaking English properly so communication was limited - truth is - they could not care less. The only good that could come out of this is I save other consumers fortunes of money. We all work very hard for it - and clearly others could not care less how they squander it for us. There is also no price that could be placed on the HOURS I invested in trying to salvage it. Please, buyer beware.

Samsung Refrigerator RF 267 Series. We have been very unhappy with our Samsung Refrigerator. We bought it approx 6 years ago and have numerous expensive repairs. A new refrigerator should not require costly repairs to keep it running. Our last repair replaced the guts of the refrigerator and an ice maker part - approx $600. This is just to keep the thing running! We have had to replace 3 of the plastic side shelves (at a heft cost) because they are so cheap that they just broke apart with regular use. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR unless you dont mind constantly putting money into it.

I pick up a 10 year old Maytag for $50 and its sitting in its place working fine. Every 2-3 weeks I defrost the Ice maker in the fridge with a hairdryer I now keep in a kitchen drawer. The dishwasher quit last night for the 2nd time in a year. (Not counting the 6 times Ive had to reboot the power to get it to turn on). Microwave has been installed 3 times since its been in the shop twice. Double stove door fell off once and has a dent in the corner...good news is Ive not actually had to service it yet. Washing machine is still working after 3 years. Must be a fluke.

I bought a 25 cu ft and 28 cu ft Samsung RF25/28HMEDBSR 4 door refrigerators at the same time. The 28 cu ft died and couldn’t be repaired in 18 months. The 25 cu ft [same model] quit working in 4 years 4 months. The repair lasted just under 10 months. Samsung told me too bad, the warranty is up after having me send them copies of sales slips, etc. and string me along for about 4 weeks saying they were ‘looking into it’. They know they have a defect in this model, agreed they should have lasted 5 years, but, nothing they could do about it. These were the top of the line and I had over $5000 in 2 pieces of scrap and now again have food loss and another repair bill. With $2500, in this one alone [got my money back for the 28 cu ft because of store warranty] I can’t just junk it. Know whatever you read about their 4 French Door models, the chances are it won’t last more than 5 years at best and if you had a store warranty, it would be gone and Samsung will NOT do anything for you. It was rated at the top when I purchased them. A repairman told me this was a frequent problem with Samsung Refrigerators and I certainly wasn’t the only one.

I purchased Samsung Microwave SMH9207ST which comes with a 1 year warranty.
I purchased Samsung Microwave SMH9207ST which comes with a 1 year warranty. The microwave was manufactured in February 2011, very moderately used, and owned for approximately 2.5 years. At 15 months, an internal piece of the handle broke, not allowing the door to close. I contacted Samsung who referred me to a repairman. For a repairman to assess the problem, order the parts needed, and install would have cost over $125 plus having to take time off of work without pay. I was able to quickly assess the problem, order 2 plastic interior door pieces (one extra) for $12 with shipping and reassemble the microwave in about 3 minutes. After 2.5 years the microwave completely stopped while cooking. I am very extremely disappointed in the quality of this product. I also own a Samsung Jr, manufactured in 1999, which has been used far more, even brought tent-camping and trips, and it is still working fine. I am now very reluctant to purchase a Samsung product. I plan to take this microwave apart to attempt to diagnosis the problem myself. In the meantime, I will continue to use the Samsung Jr until I have the resources to purchase a new microwave.

That part is 178$ and the labor is 135$. The labor on this job is obscene. There is no one at Samsung that you can talk to and I hope they fail as a business and go under. They act like they were doing me a favor by paying for it. 2 weeks later it has stopped again, whole unit frozen solid. I called and yet again they will not paid to have it looked at. Buy this fridge if you do not care about hygiene and germs brewing in your fridge. Grime gets stuck in every bin and drawer with no means of cleaning the nooks and crannies. You will eventually end up breaking the cheap plastic in order to have the smell gone. Dry crusted debris get stuck often in the front of door bins and the veggie drawers. These parts have 3 layers to it with no means of taking those apart but to break. The whole world knows now icemaker is a big sham for Samsung. Only worked for couple months. How do I start this? First bought Samsung because retailer said it was one of the best made refrigerator. After one year the thermal fuse failed, back panel blew out from frost. No warranty coverage. The tech said they had less than 1% failure rate on their appliances. I had no idea if it was the truth but he had a Samsung shirt on so that means he knows what he is doing, right?Well $327.00 later I had a working refrigerator on top of the $1400.00 I had already paid for it. The ice maker stopped making entire ice cubes. Only crushed ice seems to come out of it. That was OK just wrote it off as high moisture in South Carolina until the bottom of the refrigerator filled with water. I noticed the seal for the double doors was not completely sealed because of a wrinkle in the top of it. Warming it with a real hot towel I worked the wrinkle out of it. That seemed to help. Overall I dont recommend this manufacturer of refrigerators. Based on their lack of support I wont be buying Samsung anything for a long time if ever. I dont believe that I still have the receipt but I can find it being bought at Lowes in Seneca, SC four years ago.

We thought about replacing the ice maker but Samsung has not corrected the problem, so buying a new one will not solve the problem! We have to defrost the freezer the old fashion way, with hot water. We are tired of doing this process because we have to keep the refrigerator doors cracked open so it wont start freezing again. By doing this we have lost perishable goods. I have spoken to your representative on numerous occasions regarding the quoted fridge (Samsung Fridge RS2530BWP) purchased Dec. 2/07. Again this unit has stopped working. Now my food is all spoiled. I was told by the repair company that it is the motherboard once again. This fridge has been a problem since just after the first year of purchase and you may check the log of my calls. My fridge was purchased in 2007. I purchased an extended warranty and this service co has now serviced my fridge 4 times. This warranty is now off also and now the fridge has quit completely leaving me to deal with an outside service company who say that it’s the motherboard again. The part has to be ordered and it takes 8-10 days or I can have it expressed at an extra $40 and it will be delivered 4-5 days.Awesome service for an essential appliance, wouldnt you agree? The fan has stopped working 2 times, a motherboard replaced one all just after the Samsung warranty was off, of course. Plus there are several large cracks in the plastic of the interior which Im told are merely cosmetic and there is no coverage for that. It was a very noisy fridge, banging and waking me up at night. To say Im not a satisfied Samsung customer is an understatement.Plus Ive again lost 3 fridges full of food which have to be replaced. I hope all of you will read these reviews and refuse to purchase a Samsung appliance ever. Im now forced to look for a new fridge and believe me, I will not ever purchase Samsung again.

Cons: The drawers are not seamless so food, spilled juices, spilled sauces flows into the seams and will NEVER come clean. The glass shelves are not seamless and the same issue with cleaning is the result. The Ice maker worked great for the 1st year after which it continuously leaks water down the front of the door and makes a high pitch whining noise 24/7. Samsung will not warranty the ice maker. This has always been frustrating but I have learned to deal with it. Then shortly after the warranty expired, it stopped making ice and it appears to just be freezing over. The ice bucket keeps freezing over making it difficult to remove it and defrost, Then, I was no longer able to remove the ice bucket. I called about getting it repaired and the cost was very high and they could not warrant the repair due to this being an issue. I had called Samsung about this and at the time they told me there was no issues reported with the ice maker. No big issue. Fortunately we bought the 5 year warranty. Lowes delivered it. At delivery it had several more tiny dents, a deep gouge (small), and a huge crease on the right hand door and all the way down to the freezer door. So much for Lowes delivery service. Freezer not working, fridge not working. Ruined a weeks worth of groceries. Havent even plugged in the ice maker or anything--because we have always heard the ice makers in Arizona are the first to go because of the hard water. Did the reset as suggested in the manual. No go. No response from Samsung and no response from Lowes. So our good deal is really not a good deal at all!

Lost all the food in the Freezer.A month later have a puddle of water in front of it every morning. Made several calls each more than half hour and nothing is done. Asked them to let me speak to a supervisor but they wont. Totally dissatisfied. No more Samsung ever in my house. If you want to get a good product please DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG. You will be sorry.

Ice Maker:The ice maker constantly freezes up and requires that you defrost or chip ice out every month or so. This is a flaw with how the ice maker is mounted and does not create a sealed compartment, allowing warmer air from the refrigerator section to enter the ice making space. Touch Screen:My first fridge came with a broken touch screen. It was active but the touch did not work all the time. For whatever reason they could not obtain the part so they RMA-ed (Return Merchandise Approval) my refrigerator and replaced with the same model -under warranty. The second refrigerator came the same way. This time they were able to obtain the part using a third party repair company and the screen was fixed. Apparently the first screen had a broken connection that the technician was able to see once he removed the part. He suspected the connection was possibly broken during transport and explicitly installers holding/carrying the door by holding the ice dispenser region. Apparently there is a flexible piece of plastic that pushes up into the screen. I recommend for anyone with this refrigerator to take extra precautions not to move the fridge by holding the ice maker region. Applications:When I first got the refrigerator there were several useful apps (including: AP News, Pandora, a recipe application, weather bug, google calendar, etc) with the indication that more apps were going to be coming in the near future. No new applications have come. Weather Bug stopped working 2 years ago. AP News just went off line. Pandora and recipe apps just disappeared one day. To make it worse many people on the Samsung site have been trying to get a response about the applications and Samsung never responds. My opinion is to stay away from any Smart-screen Samsung refrigerators: they are only a novelty that Samsung does not seem to support.
