Product Reviews:

I purchased a Samsung microwave model # SMH 9151S 1 year and 5 months ago. The unit has abruptly failed. The unit will not power on, nothing responds. I contacted Samsung and faxed them all of my purchase information. Samsung contacted me to say (what I had feared) that it was beyond the 1-yr. warranty and they would contact a repair person to come and diagnose the problem. I would have to cover all of the expense. Many consumers are in the same boat. We can either pay for a repair that will often exceed the value of the unit or buy a new unit.

I bought this fridge in 2014 and one for my parents shortly after. For the first 2 years they both worked great. The last 2 years not so much. My parents unit ice machine has been replaced twice due to it freezing up and not working. I fortunately have not had that problem with the ice machine. The freezer and middle drawer of the fridge work great and maintain temperature without issue. The main section of the refrigerator does a very poor job of keep food cold. I discovered the fan that is supposed to circulate the air was not working. Samsung wanting to charge some crazy amount of money just to come troubleshoot it so I tore it apart myself. In the back of the fridge the cooling coil was frozen over and caused the fan to burn out. After thawing the fridge and replacing the fan it worked for a few months but subsequently froze again. Replacing this fan every few months seem very silly and now I regularly have to tear the fridge apart and thaw the coil to ensure it doesn’t burn out the motor. The last 6 months I have noticed that even when the fan is working the fridge does not stay cold anymore. The door reads 34 degrees but in the fridge it is anywhere from 40 to 60 degrees and any given time. It is a shame that 2 refrigerators that cost nearly $3000 dont work after less than 4 years. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator again. Both units are nothing but JUNK now!!! Now we have to decide if we want to continue to throw items away when it decides it doesn’t want to keep food cold or buy another $3000 fridge. Very disappointed.

ACBP stands for A crappy built Product. We have all these same problems you all have had - water in crisper, temp reads 34 but temp is 62 degrees, freezing up panel. Why are we being treated so poorly by customer service? Doesnt the company realize that it will affect all of their product line with so many complaints and no follow up. I want one representative to follow me through the process to get a refund on this lemon. 20 calls, 50 questions repeated to their representatives, its ridiculous. HELP, I wont even give them 1 star!!!

Purchased a Samsung Dishwasher around November, just installed 2 weeks ago in my remodeled kitchen. It has quit. Samsung has been of no help whatsoever except tell me that I need to call the repair people they have coming out to fix it. I called the repair people since I had not heard from them about when it would be repaired after 2 days of waiting. They inform me that they will be out on 4/29 to fix it. Mind you it was the 17th of April. They dont have anything sooner. This is ridiculous since the thing shouldnt be broke to begin with! My husband and I purchased a whole kitchen full of new Samsung appliances and one already broke. WOW! Next, I called Samsung back to see if there was a different repair company that could come out. They informed me that that is the best we can do. I became even more angry since a 2 week old dishwasher shouldnt be broke to begin with. Lowes has tried to be more helpful than Samsung by checking in to see if they could do anything. When the repair person comes out I am sure that it will be another week at least having to wait on parts. Samsung should take this piece of crap back and allow me to pick another brand. I WILL NOT purchase another Samsung product after this! They dont care. I purchased their product and am now stuck. Buyer Beware!!!

I have been reading a lot of bad reviews about Samsung, I wish I read about them before we purchased a 4 pack kitchen set. The fridge was a disaster, the ice maker continually broke down. The only saving grace for us was we bought the extended warranty. The repair company had to come so many times they finally gave up and paid for us to get a new refrigerator. Oh I forgot to say today our microwave died. Samsung STINKS, dont waste your time or money. You will regret it.

Ive had a Samsung range for 4 months and am extremely disappointed with it. The black glass top is amazingly cheap for such an expensive range. It is impossible to keep clean and scratches very easily. I had my old GE range for 10 years and it still looked like new when I replaced it with this Samsung. In just 4 months, this range looks old and worn. Every pot scratches the surface. I only use the pad and cleaner supplied with the range and even that scratches the surfaces. Plus, any spillovers go down into the vents and streak the oven door glass. I contacted Samsung and they sent out a technician who took pictures and said Samsung would call me. Its been 3 weeks and no call.

Bought this in November 2019. Everything was great for the first year. Picture is as described. Sound wasn’t great so I bought a $99 BOMAKER 37 Inch 2.0 sound bar on Amazon Prime Day 30% off and WOW what a difference that made! Then December 2020 came and picture started flickering till finally wouldn’t turn on. I called Geek Squad and they told me my 1yr warranty was up and I hadn’t bought the extended 2yr warranty from them for $299. If you buy it remember to bite the bullet and get the extended warranty. I know it’s a lot of money but you’ll be kicking yourself later if you don’t. Still functions as wall art at least

I purchased the Samsung French Door Refrigerator model RFG297HDRS in January 2014 from Home Depot for around $2,000. Since the first day the refrigerator arrived at my home it is very loud. The noise is so loud you have to leave the room. After several service calls, they replaced it with the Samsung French Door Refrigerator model RF28HFEDBSR, which was a smaller model and nowhere as nice as the other model. This model as well is loud. For over 1 year, 54 telephone phone calls, many emails, several service calls and unpaid days off; I am stuck with this refrigerator. The Samsung refrigerators are VERY LOUD and Samsung does not stand behind this product line.

All I can say is that I wish I had read reviews on Samsung refrigerators before I purchased mine. Ive owned Samsung TVs and smart phones that are all exceptional and I thought the same would be true with Samsung appliances but I was dead wrong. Brand new refrigerator model # RF263BEAESG - only 6 months old - started leaking water out of the left side top where electrical wires are coming out of the top of refrigerator. Contacted Samsung. They created a repair ticket. After five days and no one showed up I called the service company only to go to voice mail. Call Samsung back and they give the service ticket to another service company... same thing 2nd time - service company wouldnt come to my house. After three weeks into the ordeal, Samsung said they would refund the purchase price of my refrigerator. To get my money back I had to provide the original sales receipt, sign a contract saying I would dispose of the old refrigerator and not continue to use it, send the labels inside the refrigerator to Samsung showing model & serial # and cut the electrical cord. After complying with Samsungs request I then get an email two weeks later saying they dont have the serial # and we cannot move forward even though they had the serial # from my initial call for service. After several days of fighting this battle I get a call from Samsung saying they found the serial # but before they can process the claim now I need to go out and purchase a new refrigerator and show them the receipt for the new purchase. In addition, I need to show them a receipt from a haul away company that disposed of my refrigerator with the leaking ice maker.Refrigerator was purchased from Home Depot. I have contacted the manager of the particular Home Depot store but so far they havent offered much help. I Home Depot manager that given my experience and experiences Ive read about from other consumers that if I were him I will completely discontinue selling Samsung appliances. Ive owned many appliances over my 72 year life span and NEVER have I EVER experienced such an horrific experience. Given the runaround Ive received from Samsung I doubt very seriously Ill ever receive a refund for my refrigerator. Stay away from Samsung appliances, particularly their refrigerators.

My Samsung refrigerator model RF323TEDBSR french door was the best Samsung
My Samsung refrigerator model RF323TEDBSR french door was the best Samsung had to offer. It is nearly 4 yrs old now. From about one year to present it has had freezing up issues in the refrigerator section. After numerous attempt to remedy this issue with Samsung, they just keep giving me the same runaround telling me to level the fridge and set the temperatures as they recommend. I have done this diligently every time, however it is not getting better but worse. They are willing to send out a technician at my cost most likely to do the same thing I have been doing and then tell me its working. One month later I will be defrosting my fridge much like people were doing in the 50s.After doing a little online searching I have found that my problem is not unique. Many other happy Samsung owners are experiencing the same issues across many different models. Apparently there is a bad design with the defrosting system. SAMSUNG does not want to own up to it. I can kinda understand their side considering all the troubles they have had with many of their products such as the washing machine blowing up (we have them as well) and the phones catching on fire. WARNING, dont buy SAMSUNG refrigerators.

I bought the Samsung French door refrigerator from SEARS in May 2014. Bought the extended warranty. The compressor went out Sept 1 2014, lost my food, had out of town visitors, and a technician wouldnt be there for four days. After 4 days, compressor wont be replaced for another week. Sears wouldnt let me return it (policy is 30 days). Said I had to first suffer more than once then they would think about it; however, 5 employees I spoke with earlier told me I had a $250 food replacement and I would be able to return it because it was the compressor. Sears did not replace my food but gave me a $50 allowance for future food for each of the 2 weeks I am without a refrigerator. I had my last refrigerator - NOT a Samsung through SEARS - for 24 years. Not only has the quality of the appliance gone down but the service is horrendous and the training of employees is dishonest.

I purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator (RF266ABRS/XAA) just a few years ago. It was very expensive. Over the past few years, we have noticed our food has gone bad quickly and the temperature in the refrigerator was not what the computer panel said. About 2 months ago, the entire refrigerator died. Both the freezer and refrigerator died. We called Samsung, who told us to call a local repair company. That was done. When the repair company showed up, they said that in all their years in business, they had never seen such a young refrigerator have all the internal workings die so quickly. Samsung said, to be able to repair under warranty, they needed the original receipt. I did my part and found the receipt. After 10 days time and 3 weeks without a refrigerator, the repair company was able to order the parts from Samsung. The only problem was, Samsung was having technical difficulties and couldnt send out the parts for the refrigerator. We waited another 2 weeks to get the refrigerator parts from Samsung. Once the parts came in, the repair company came out and fixed all the inner parts of the refrigerator. Two weeks later, the entire machine is not working again. There is water on the floor. The entire machine is up to 70 degrees. The repair company is coming back again to see if they can see what is going on this time. I called Samsung. I explained what has been going on and that this machine is so new. They said it isnt under the 1 year warranty and that all repairs are my responsibility. Their customer service was appalling. Clearly, this model, as it has been noted in a class action lawsuit in New Jersey, is a lemon. The coiling system was bad from their creation. Samsung, which makes billions of dollars a year, cannot comprehend the problems caused to consumers who buy a lemon refrigerator and are not willing to accept the consequences to producing a less than quality product. I sit here with a broken fridge once again, no help from Samsung and spoiled food. I wont be purchasing any Samsung products forever! Do not purchase a Samsung refrigerator. No matter what you read on any website. They are NOT quality refrigerators and youll end up like me sitting in your kitchen with spoiled food for the 5th time! My apologies, but I had higher hopes for Samsung.

3 of 4 Samsung appliances have now died in 5 yrs. Today SMH9187 microwave door latch broke after giving Error 13 the other day. Reading other reviews Im now afraid it will turn on by itself and burn my house down! Worse, Samsung dishwasher broke in 18 months and not only leaked on my hardwood floors but got so hot I needed a potholder to turn off after 5 hrs and it wouldnt stop. Lowes at least stepped in, said these were so bad I got a new Bosch Ive loved now for 3 yrs. Samsung counter depth refrigerator also had icemaker die in under 2 yrs. Lowes replaced it due to extended warranty but now 3 yrs later I tried again with warranty expired. Also had 2 Samsung LCD TVs die in 2 yrs, with both a Blu-ray player and separate DVD go belly up in that time too. Stupid name for ever buying anything from them after 2nd item. Needless to say I will NEVER EVER AGAIN BUY ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG! Unbelievably bad quality and worse, truly dangerous!! Stay away, hope they go out of business soon.

I am very disappointed with my new Samsung DW80M9 series dishwasher. It was billed as being a better cleaning product because the spray arm goes back and forth rather than in a circular motion like traditional dishwashers. I actually rinse my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, but I have to scrub them to get every speck off before using this very expensive dishwasher. The one factor in its favor is that it is very quiet. I hope Samsung’s engineers will work on this very disappointing dishwasher.

I am having to endure it as I type this and would encourage anyone to NOT BUY a Samsung appliance. Another thing is the space inside. I couldnt hate Samsung and their POS products any more than I do right now. Our refrigerator started acting up when it was 3.5 years old. Occasional loud grinding noises that we thought was the fan scraping against a buildup of ice. Almost a year later the noises stopped and the fridge temperature went up to where it was barely keeping the fridge cool enough to be functional. A repairman came, diagnosed and fixed the issue very quickly and cheaply, and we were quite satisfied. Until it stopped working again less than 30 days later. Now the same repairman thinks its a seal system issue, which his company doesnt address. Was told our issue would be expedited because we cant live without a refrigerator. That was a week ago. Samsung initially said a new repair company would contact us within 24 - 48 hours. I had to call back 3 times after that window to finally get a service repair number from them. IT WAS THE NUMBER OF THE SAME COMPANY THAT ALREADY CAME TO THE HOUSE AND SAID THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX IT. Called Samsung again, and they gave me another number to call. That company ALSO said they dont address seal system issues. Called Samsung AGAIN. Now they dont know if theres anybody in our area who can address this issue. But not to worry, because theyll call me in 24 - 48 hours to let me know if theyve found somebody! Meanwhile Im supposed to give my toddler spoiled milk with his takeout dinner? Purchased a Samsung RF263BEAESR/AA french door fridge. 09/21/12 started having issues with the refrigerator. Coils freezing causing the twin cooling fans to hit the ice and make loud noises. It woke me up and was so loud I thought someone was breaking into my house. Of course it was just after the warranty expired and I paid them approx $150 to come out replace a Defrost Sensor, Evaporator Cover, and Drain Kit. The service guy called Samsung and strongly said they should pay for the parts (I felt he knew there are ongoing issues with their fridges and felt bad for me) and they did (parts are cheap). The other issue was the ice maker. The unit is not sealed properly causing warm air from the fridge to enter the ice maker and it freezes up eventually ice cant dump in tray because of the ice build up.They are now making the ice maker sealed up tight because my neighbor has a newer model which 1 year old and I took a peek, no ice build up. They used silicone seal yet one year later same problem so it must be coming in from rear and cant be fixed. I have been removing the ice box and taking a blow dryer once every 2 weeks to melt it. So, I called Samsung 04/07/17 and was trying to get parts to fix the twin cooling fan ice issues after watching YouTube videos and they couldnt give me part #s. Referred me to www.samsungparts.com which is not their company but is approved to sell parts. I told Samsung, I had just got off the phone with them and they gave me your # which is technical support (1.855.726.8721) now youre sending me back to them?I then told her my cooling fan issue, and ice maker issue, how upset and disappointed I was in their product, and that I have a fridge/freezer in my garage that is 16 yrs old and never had a service issue. She told me, We can send a service technician to look at the issue and possibly replace it. I said, You mean charge me? She stated, NO replace it??? I asked her if this was a late April Fools joke. She said, NO... I stated, Does this have something to do with a class action lawsuit I have read about. She didnt answer, but did at the same time... So, I am waiting for the service company to call and schedule an appt. If they decide that the issues I told them are verified I may be getting a new fridge, which is a shocker. The other thing I found out when talking to her she asked in regards to ice build up behind the twin cooling fans, Were the white wheels to the front and bottom of your fridge touching the ground? I stated, Yes. She stated they should not be touching and the fridge needs to be raised tilting back and that when delivered they (Best Buy) should of leveled the refrigerator for me... So Best Buy didnt do it, and neither did the service tech I paid a $150 either. She sent me an e-mail showing a do it yourself How to Level the Refrigerator. So if you are having this issue check it out. May save you a service charge. To melt the ice you need to empty your fridge/freezer for at least 24 hours and tilt it back. May solve the problem. I am leaving mine alone for now hoping for a new fridge... Good Luck.

I hate my DMT800 Samsung dishwasher. It does not heat the water nor clean the dishes well. It is about 3 years old and its torn up. There are only certain repair companies that are allowed by Samsung to repair their appliances and some will not repair the appliance if its under warranty. The company I call charges $89.95 for a service call and if they can repair it, they will waiver the service charge. I think that this means it will be expensive to repair it. Im going to buy a new one and it definitely wont be a SAMSUNG.

Updated on 05/05/2020: Sumsung does not stand by their appliances. Two weeks ago, my Samsung microwave - 4-1/2 yrs.old - turned itself on. Didnt hear it running until the fan came on. By that time, it had melted a splatter cover to the turntable. We had to unplug it to get it to stop. The unit was red hot. If we werent home, there could have been a serious fire. Samsungs response - a free service call to diagnose the problem. We would have to pay for the part ($121) plus labor. They assume no responsibility for a potentially dangerous situation. Weve already replaced the Samsung French door refrigerator because of a defective ice maker that would cost $500+ to repair (there is a class action lawsuit concerning this) as well as a potential $300 fan repair. We have had to replace the control panel on the Samsung range 5 months ago. All the Samsung appliances were bought new and delivered Jan. 29, 2015. My advice to anyone considering Samsung appliances - find another brand. Regardless of what Consumer Reports says (which we consulted before making the purchase), buy ANYTHING but Samsung. Thanks for letting me vent.Original Review: We have a Samsung microwave purchased on 2014. Today, the microwave evidently turned itself on without the fan. By the time the fan turned on and I heard it running, it had melted a plastic splatter cover to the turntable. We were unable to turn it off and had to go to the breaker to shut it off. If we werent home at the time, there could have been a fire in our kitchen. This is a very dangerous situation. This is the second Samsung appliance causing issues. We just replaced a Samsung refrigerator also purchased in 2014 that had weekly ice maker jams (we understand there is a class action suit against Samsung for this issue). All I can say is it is very fortunate we were home when the microwave malfunctioned. I intend to replace the microwave and report this issue directly to Samsung. Im sure there is no recourse except to repair or replace the unit. At this point, I have lost all faith in any Samsung appliance and will never purchase this brand again.

Bought a Samsung french door refrigerator from Home Depot in Sept 2014, model RF263BEAESR. Ice maker promptly froze over and ice making stopped. Customer service told us to turn off the ice maker, let it defrost and it would start working. This was true but then it froze over again, and again. In Jan 2015, Samsung authorized repair service, Charika Appliance Repair of Inverness, FL came out to install a new ice maker unit. They punctured the sealed coolant system and the refrigerator stopped working!! Samsung offered to exchange the broken refrigerator with the same model or a refund. On Jan 10, 2015, I emailed Samsung the Home Depot invoice and register receipt, and on Jan 11th a list of spoiled food. We were told that a refund was in process and we would be contacted within 24-48 hours by the refund department. Today, Jan 20th, I called for a refund status and they had not started it yet. They DO NOT refund the $105 sales tax we paid, even though the Home Depot receipt says FULL REFUND. They also DO NOT refund over $250 for spoiled food. BEWARE OF SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS!!! They are a piece of GARBAGE. Their customer service department is terrible.

I do not know the exact model but it has the freezer on top with an option to change the settings to allow the top to convert from freezer to normal refrigeration which is how I use mine for added space. I never hear it running, absolutely the quietest refrigerator I have ever owned. I have the darker charcoal looking finish, love it.

Thanks Again Samsung USA. Well here I am again folks. I talked with a Supervisor from the Executive Desk about my problems with customer support and about the Fridge (Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF323TEDBSR/AA). Wow can you believe they are truly a company that will buy back your product for less than you paid and they stick together on all levels of Customer service? And after talking with him he also tells me I have 14 days from the date of the email of the offer from them and thats the end. Another WOW. So here it is -- 2017.00 Samsung French door Refrigerator, 80.00 Delivery, 15.00 new water line (required), 370.00 Extended warranty, 148.00 Sales tax -- Approx. 2622.00 Total spent 1 1/2 year ago. They are willing to buy it back for 756.00. Should I be happy??? I can assure you I am not. If they admit there is a problem and their warranty ran out last August, why would they be willing to buy it back??? And I am suppose to accept this GREAT LOSS? Not without a fight. I have made many calls to them and emails to get paperwork to them, faxes to them on the same paperwork. And was asked again today to email the original contract again, 4 emails-efaxes they didnt get, 2 phone faxes that didnt show the total price. But this final email today showed it all to the young man I sent to while I kept him on the line. So tell me should I just let it go? And top of it all, their policy is before that refund can come, you have to cut the cord from the fridge, wrap it with labels from inside fridge with S/N and model around the cord and take a picture and wait on your refund. Now common sense tells me that if I do that I will lose all my stuff in the fridge and freezer and wait till their refund arrives and then purchase a new fridge plus fork out about 850.00 to replace it with what I bought 17 months after I bought it originally. I wish I could make some sort of sense out that policy??? Would love some feedback on this and would love for anyone with this sort of issue to also SHARE this so others may avoid what we are going through. Thank you Samsung USA.

I purchased a gas range on 1/1/2019 and paid $721 for it and that does not include the delivery, install and 3 year extended warranty. I have had a problem obtaining proper temperature since beginning. A service person came out and said there was nothing he could do and I could just change the temperature on my own. I believe the oven bake temp is correct after using the instructions in manual, but the convection oven temp is still about 25-50 degrees off. There is no way to adjust that. I filed another complaint after serviceman and just got a call from Samsung that it is my fault and there is nothing they can do. I got this stove mainly because it was a Samsung and it has a convection bake feature. Now I will not be able to use convection unless I want burnt or undercooked food. I am so angry. I have a Samsung phone, Samsung washer and dryer and a Samsung microwave. Never again. I will never buy Samsung nor will I ever recommend anyone else I know to make the same mistake.

Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF263BEAESR/AA - Due to an older house I needed to get a smaller refrigerator. It was hard to find due to all the constraints, size, height, and how far the doors could open. I was excited to find the Samsung French Door Refrigerator, because it fit with all the space constraints my home required. It was a new model so there wasnt any reviews available. Unlike my previous Samsung French Door, a larger version, that I had 7 years ago, this one makes cloudy ice. I just found out from a Samsung repair tech that this model will not make clear ice due to the way it makes ice. Also, because of some restrictions lifted on companies making refrigerators most newer models make loud noises, according to the research I found on the internet. My model sounds like someone in there is trying to get out by throwing a large rock around. It happens every 6 to 8 hours. It can wake me up from a sound sleep. I thought it was the ice maker, but I have turned it off and it still makes it. Samsung basically has made all kinds of excuses, but they havent done anything about it. Other Pros: Ive only had it since Nov 2014, going on 8 months. It so far, keeps my food cold and my freezer seems to be working fine. It has plenty of space for me. Had I known about the cloudy ice issue I may have looked into buying another brand.

I paid $95 but the repair person could not fix it, said the computer is broken. He said he will order the necessary part and then call us which has not happened. After repeatedly trying to contact On-Time-Repair, I was informed since the machine is over 1 year old they had to get a confirmation from Samsung that the part is covered. I even told them Let me know how much it will cost if it is not covered but I have not received any response. It has been more than a month now. Bottom Line: Do not buy a Samsung Dishwasher. The replacement failed to fix the problem. I purchased a Samsung RF323TEDBSA three door refrigerator February 2013 and have had terrible issues with both ice makers and front door water dispenser and overall think the stainless finish is impossible to clean. The front door water dispenser always drips down the front of the refrigerator requiring constant cleaning and absolutely nothing cleans this poor quality of stainless. I have tried everything! The bottom freezer is not working at all and will not reset. The top freezer has to be defrosted monthly with a hairdryer and reset, to get any ice. Even after those bizarre behaviors, the ice is always wet, very slow to make and drop and always mixes at least 5 or so tablespoons of water in with the ice (and again drips down the front of the refrigerator). I actually bought two of the same refrigerators for two different homes and absolutely think both are just junk. What a joke... As I thought I was buying a higher end appliance! Just another comment, on the Samsung microwave I bought at the same time... Junk. I had to fixed the cracked plastic on the door hinge myself with a You Tube video and rubber band, just so the door would close so the appliance would work... After two years of use (mostly reheating food). I caution all appliance buyers to stay away from Samsung appliances, regardless of the model. Also, getting service without paying an arm and a leg is impossible.

My repeated attempts to get from Samsung or Lake Electronics any documents proving the statement of their technician was laughed at by both Samsung Customer Service and Manager of Lake Electronics. Final answer from Samsung Customer Service was: Your Warranty is void.My technician from Broward Factory Service told me that Samsung dishwashers and other electronics are very bad and unreliable, and that I would be much better off replacing my machine than fixing Samsung on my own dime. Late April 2018, we were forced to replace all our appliances. We decided that we wanted the best, so we chose Samsung. We already had several Samsung cellphones so now our home was going to be all Samsung. Boy do we regret that decision. A week before Christmas 2019, both the dishwasher and washing machine stopped working. The washing machine was fixed under an extended warranty. Our dishwasher is another story. It has been 6 weeks of washing dishes by hand and lots of paper plates. The latch mechanism on the door is of such a poor design. After replacing the mechanism, the door still does not latch. Another mechanism has been ordered. We have to wait another month before we will receive the part and be put on the repair roster. Even then he cannot assure us that the same misalignment will not occur. Today has been the 3rd visit and the repairman thinks that it may not ever be possible to repair it. So now we wait for the home warranty company to decide on replacing the dishwasher.

We have had a recurring problem with water that turns to ice in our crisper drawers. In the past month we have had 5 technicians come out all say the same thing, the drain line gets clogged and frozen causing water to overflow into and below the crisper drawers. The fix according to Samsung was replacing the back panel of the fridge, the evaporator panel I believe. We replaced that, in less than two weeks, we had water back in the drawers. Luckily we bought the extended warranty through Lowes but had spoken to a representative at the store that suggest we call Samsung directly. I tried that tonight, after two hours on the phone, I was asked what I expected them to do. Our unit was out of warranty (its three years old), and according to them this is not a known problem whatsoever. In fact, they even told me that there was NO record of this being reported to them at all. Even after explaining to them that I had found multiple reports of the same issue, and even on their own website have found consumers asking why they are having this exact problem was still told there was nothing they could do but CHARGE me for a service call to come and take a look at the unit. After this experience, I will no longer be purchasing any Samsung Appliances and will strongly influence any family and friends from doing so as well. Their customer service is not up to par and it’s apparent that they don’t really stand behind their product or the consumer that purchases their product! The Model Number that I have purchased is RF217ACRS which is now listed as a support product on the Samsung website which I am assuming means they are no longer selling this particular product! Buyer Beware when purchasing a Samsung Refrigerator!!!

Purchased this dishwasher in Sept 2013 while building a house. It was installed in April 2014. In August I noticed that it was not draining and periodically the lights blinked when trying to run it and I couldnt make the choice I wanted. The Smart Auto or Delicate cycle. Also my dishes were not clean or dry. I finally called Samsung in October and was told it was out of warranty because of my purchase date but if I could prove when it was installed they would provide service. Instead I called Home Depot where I purchased it and they replaced it for me because Samsung is hard to deal with. Wonderful! In February problems started again only this time the machine would turn on by itself. And again I had dirty dishes and it wouldnt drain. Samsung arranged service this time. Service tech told me not to use a rinse agent because it makes the sensors sticky and that is why it wont drain properly. But, he didnt believe me when I said it would start by itself. It starts an hour after doing dishes and even in the middle of the night. I have it on video. Apparently we are crazy people. DO NOT EVER BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT!!! We bought a model s201 from Home Depot on 10/4 13 for $628. We had 3 service calls while under warranty in the 1st year for sensor fan problems. On 7/30/15, it would not turn on. We contacted Samsung and they said it could be a temp. sensor. We called the repair service. They said a service call would cost $109. Plus parts and labor to fix, but could not give cost of parts or time to install. I am having a Bosch dishwasher installed today and the Samsung pc of junk hauled away.

French door refrigerator with bottom freezer. At seven months old the freezer handle broke from the freezer door. This was from normal everyday use. So poorly designed. Samsung refused to stand behind their product, after all, they already had our money from the purchase. Hard to believe a major company wouldnt be embarrassed by their own substandard craftsmanship. Not the best way to build a brand. Plastic mounts built into the door snapped off from simply opening it. Never again will I purchase anything with the Samsung name. PhilAshland, MA

We bought this microwave (SMH9151STE) in December 2010. Today (January 2013), 25 months into ownership, it just died. It powered off when I hit the Start button and no longer works. I told the Samsung rep that there seems to be a lot of complaints regarding this microwave online and that they should stand behind their products. They told me, Sorry, its only a 1-year warranty. What a waste of $175! I refuse to spend $150 to get it repaired. Id rather go spend $300 for a highly rated Maytag microwave.

I am 72 years old. I have baked since I was ten years old. In all this time, I have only baked on one stove where the oven light did not stay on once it was turned on manually for the entire baking session. Then, at the bakers discretion, the light is turned off, manually, or left on as a night light. The only stove I baked on without this feature was a wood cook stove. After all these years, I finally had the chance to purchase a new gas stove. I did my homework, surfed the web, read the reviews, looked at what was offered and decided to go with the Samsung gas range because it offered a proofing option for bread, plus several other setting that pleased me. The stove was installed and I totally loved the thing except for the darn light in the oven, sounds pretty picky, doesnt it? Well, try baking and opening the oven to check your progress, closing the door and the light is off and has to be turned back on… again and again… and again. Called Samsung and they said the light was working according to the manual. I emailed, chatted, and called. Finally had one fellow tell me that I didnt know how to bake, so I gave up. Since this episode, I have found others who have tried to deal with Samsung. Why does it have to be like this? One lady on Amazon answered my question. She had the same model and she wrote that her light stayed on throughout the baking process. Is there a company that can be depended on to take care of their customers, or is that just a dream. Oh, and before I forget, all through the warranty time, Samsung sent messages to me that This issue was considered closed. I think THEIR light went off...

I ordered Samsung Gas Range, Model NX58H9500WS/AA from Plessers on April 4th, 2016. In two months, the surface burn grates cracked. I filed a claim, to my dismay, the customer service is the worst ever I had dealt with. I was asked to send the pictures of the defect parts and the receipts. I sent what they asked for on June 20th. Until today, I did not hear a word. I just called and was told that the burner grates and the cap are not covered. The gas range is quite expensive. I cannot believe that the burn grates cracked in two months. The workmanship is extremely poor.

I bought a house with Samsung appliances and and wish I had asked for new ones from a different brand. Pure junk. The stove burners didnt work properly, the oven heat varied all over the oven when baking. The fridge door drawers all cracked and cost too much to bother replacing. The door flap was broke and fridge didnt cool properly. Food spoiled. Now for the junk of a washer that would take half a day to do a load of wash because when it would go to the spin mode, it would unbalance and kick out only to take another twenty mins to finish or do it again and back to twenty mins again. I would recommend to not buy these from this company. They need to stick to cellphones. By the way, the house was seven years old and the dryer was a different make, assuming it died already. Costly replacing all of this because they make crap.

Purchased a brand new Samsung counter depth fridge. Ice maker continued to freeze up and eventually was unable to make ice. After two repair visits ($180) from the local company I purchased it from (someone I had dealt with for years and was an authorized dealer) I decided to call Samsung. After a few hours of problem determination (including defrosting the unit again and chipping away the ice) the issue was considered corrected. Of course a month later same issue - contacted service again and they scheduled a service call. The service tech was there 30 seconds and knew exactly what the problem was. There is a significant gap between the inside wall and ice maker allowing air into the unit. Very obviously a manufacturer defect and one they had seen many times before.I contacted Samsung service again - explaining the issue and requesting to be reimbursed for my third service call (Im now up to $270 on a 2 1/2 year old unit that I paid $3500 for) and was not very politely told the unit was out of service, it was not a known defect, and they would not reimburse my service call. Sad but true, worst part is they would not own up to the defect, although the tech told me they are required to report their repair fixes which they have done many on these units. They even carry a special tube of caulking with them just for these units. Good luck buying one - last Samsung product I will ever purchase!

Please stay away from SAMSUNG appliances. We spent 15k for all new in our new house and they’ve all had multiple repairs. We bought at SPENCERS TV and Appliance and the entire two years have done absolutely nada to help us out. The range we bought burns the food almost every time. I asked for a trade in and purchase a new top of the line brand and they immediately laughed and said no It’s sad how horrible businesses are these days keeping their clients happy. It’s the easiest part with my company. We will go buy new ones from Lowe’s or Home Depot. If they would have been somewhat respectful and gave me a 100-200 discount I would have went in today and purchased a new range and I also need another 85” tv. Good luck Samsung and Spencer’s. The customers are what pay your mortgage. I was so surprised they would do absolutely nothing. Who does business like that. My customers are my livelihood and love to see a happy face when I work with them and showing them I’m willing to do 100% to make them happy. Have a great day. Wanted 0 STARS... It’s not possible.

Bought this RF261 French door/bottom drawer fridge and dishwasher in same style in Sept 2012. Within a month or so we found accumulated water in the drip pan under at the bottom of the fridge. Now the ice maker has failed and consumer service fix (reset button) did not work. Dishwasher does not clean well even with pre-rinse and accumulates sludge under door. No more Samsung products for me!Updated on 12/28/2015: We found only two appliance technicians in our area who would work on a Samsung; one had to come 70 mi. one-way, and the other was Sears. The Sears technician quoted a price of nearly $900 to repair these two problems. We also bought a matching Samsung dishwasher, and although it works, it doesnt clean well, and the door gasket collects food debris and stinks. Since both are out of the warranty period, Samsung wont do anything. I will, though: Ill never buy a Samsung product again.

Purchased this dishwasher in March 2013, within 6 months the heavy light sensor starts flashing, and the dishwasher stopped working. I called Samsung immediately and a technician was scheduled to visit on Oct 22, 2013. The morning of the appointment, I called A&E the company that was scheduled to get a window for repair. I was told Samsung cancelled my appointment, I got back on the phone with Samsung. The customer service department states they never cancelled it, but they could reschedule, wish they did for Oct 28. When this day arrived the dishwasher had reset itself, due to the water leakage had time to dry under the dishwasher. The Tech said there was nothing he could do and DID not even pull the dishwasher out to check for leakage. He stated maybe it is the circuit board, and used that as an excuse, so I wouldnt LOOK crazy! March of 2014 same issues started again. On the phone again with Samsung, they state sorry no warranty left. Really, by 3 days. So after disputing this argument, they scheduled another tech to return with the same original company A & E. When this tech arrived he states a leakage and possible tub issues, sump assembly issue. They could definitely see and feel water, but could not exactly determine where it was coming from. They tech ordered a sump pump and returned to replace that part on March 25,2014. Now here it is July 2014 with the same issues, and Samsung would not send out a technician unless I would agree to pay the service call. I told them this was unacceptable, because this is an ongoing issues since purchase in March 2013.They would not give in. I finally agreed to pay a service call only just to get the repairs done so I could hopefully be free of this nightmare. March 23 2014, the tech arrived and diagnosed the dishwasher and knew immediately that it was a manufacturer defect that caused the actual tub itself to leak and is NOT repairable. A replacement would be recommended (stated on the final paperwork), and he relayed this information to Samsung through the Samsung Tech line. The technician issued me the return authorization number# to start the process. When originally starting the process, I thought I would be getting a replacement, but how convenient the dishwasher has no manufacturer defects, and this model no longer available. So not they put me under the BUY BACK PROGRAM which Is a program where they depreciate the original price you pay by a certain percentage depending on length of time you have had the dishwasher, however the warranty states printed in the owners manual - if any issues is a leakage in stainless steel door or tub it has lifetime warranty!

So Im sitting here with a $2000 refrigerator that doesnt work! Samsung should not be allowed to sell refrigerators in this country and anybody who buys one should seriously reconsider. I have put almost as much as the original cost in repairs on this thing and thats over and above the warranty work that was done. Its GARBAGE! And they do not stand behind their product. This an update on my trouble getting my Samsung refrigerator fixed. Its been going on for 6 weeks now. Granted we have been out of town for 2 of those weeks. First attempt to fix it was to replace the computer board ($375). This took almost 2 weeks due delay in getting first one that was on backorder and was defective so another had to be order. This didnt work. The repair people came back out and decided that it was the cooling fan BUT the fan is manufactures discontinued, so we have to buy the whole cooling panel of $180. The repair people and Lowes advised that the repair people write a letter stating the problems and what they have had to do and cost of fixing this problem and submit to Samsung for a possible credit for a new one. Fortunately we have the beer and watermelon refrigerator in the garage, which ironically is the one we replace with the high tech Samsung. I only wish I could sue them for forcing me to live with an unhappy wife for this long.

Purchased a Samsung washer, dryer and refrigerator approx. 1 month ago. On 9-29 fridge and freezer stopped working while at work, thawed out and spoiled food. Fridge and freezer will not cool. Washer is also now listed as defective due to safety hazard. Frequent phone calls to Samsung has resulted in no resolution to this issue. I am constantly being told I have to wait 24-48 hours to hear from different departments. Today, I was told I have to wait another 24-48 hours to hear from someone in Refunds and Exchanges via telephone. I asked to contact them directly but was told they have no phone number because they are a back office department. I expressed my displeasure and asked for my call to be elevated past Executive Customer Relations and was told thats not possible, they are the highest level of customer service.I then asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I would have to be put on an list and someone would contact me back in 24-48 hours. 2 days to speak to a supervisor? I was informed that if an exchange of the refrigerator is decided on, it would be another 15 days for delivery. This is totally unacceptable. Not only the frequent waiting for 24-48 hours to be contacted by Samsung but I was denied the opportunity to speak to a higher level of customer service. On the day I purchased these major appliances I spent $3000 total and now 2 out of the 3 appliances are defective. I am unhappy with the customer service I have received up to this point. They are not receptive to the issues. The time frame that Samsung is putting me on is unacceptable. It shouldnt take 48 hours to make a decision for a customer that has invested thousands of dollars in Samsung. In the meantime, I have a dead $3000 refrigerator in my kitchen with no resolution and nowhere to turn as far as customer service. This was my BBB complaint. After filing a BBB complaint, I was contacted by a rep from the Office of President. She acknowledged my current problem with the refrigerator. She explained that she will now be handling my case and I can contact her directly. She explained she is still waiting to see the result of my issue from the refunds and exchange office and she will contact me the next day. The next day arrived and I had to call them to find out the results. I was told the request to exchange the fridge was kicked back (declined) because there are no service programs in the area. I am now stuck with a refund.I expressed my concern for this due to the fact that I purchased the fridge on sale, and its listed on Samsungs website for $2999. I paid approx $1800 and will be losing the value of the fridge by receiving a refund. After back and forth explanations, she explained how I would be receiving a call from the refunds and exchange office... in another 24-48 hours. Today is October 6th. She said I would be receiving a call either tomorrow or Monday the 10th of October. The refunds and exchange office has already seen my case several times and even took action on it, why do they need another 48 hours to review it? So we head into the weekend once again with definitive solution. When I hear from them on Monday, how many more phone calls will need to be waited for and how long till I actually see the refund? Once again I was told there is no higher level of CS, shes following procedures and protocols and there is no way she can expedite the call from refunds and exchanges. After expressing my overwhelming dissatisfaction with Samsung, its customer service and its policies and procedures I inquired how does Samsung go about getting the defective fridge from me. She informed that I am responsible for disposal of the fridge and will not be reimbursed for any money spent from doing so.Once again, this is totally unacceptable customer service from a company of this magnitude. There is no difference between what a standard CS rep can accomplish and what rep from the Office of the President can accomplish. I still wish to pursue my complaint and speak to someone higher in this company. Customers should not be treated like this. I will no longer be doing business with Samsung and will advise friends and family of my experience as well.

In 3 weeks the repairer came and said that is fixed. Again shopping and after we saw that actually is not working. Again all food went in the garbage . Called customer service they said to wait another one month for another repairer!!! So 2 months with no refrigerator! After 2 months the repairer came and said that he cannot do anything the refrigerator is broken and cannot be fixed. In one year brand new refrigerator cannot be fixed! Also we bought a electric gas range which was not fitting by size together with another Samsung appliance. I requested to return the electric range and they didn’t returned my money! I called multiple times and been told that because I returned just one piece from my order they cannot refund me for the electric range!!! So out of 3000$ for the refrigerator and out of 1700$ for the electric range!!! They don’t answer to emails and on phone calls put me on hold for 2-3 hours and then just hang out! Then it started the same thing, now I am told its the main control panel.. (no I did not get extended warranty). THEN - 14 months later turned on the oven, there was sparks and it blew the breaker. No warranty and with research found that it was common to lose a oven element ever so often but only if you use the oven, which we do every 10 to 14 days. Then the burners start going out, but only if you use them often. OK I admit we cook our meals and dont dine out, silly us for wanting a reliable stove. I wish I could give it negative 4 stars. We bought a Samsung refrigerator (model Number Rf263BEAESR/AA) at or about the 25th of November 2016. At about the two-year mark, the icemaker started having problems. It was not making ice. At first, if I chipped off the built-up ice, it would produce ice again (this was a constant battle). After a while, it stopped producing ice at all. We called Samsung, and they agreed to pay for the ice maker to be replaced, but not the service. I want to thank you for that! You (Samsung) did not tell us that the icemaker had been having problems across the board, nor did you mention the icemakers class-action suit. If Samsung knew that the ice maker was faulty, why didnt they pay for the service call in addition to replacing the icemaker?A little while ago, the refrigerator stopped working, pools of water running out of the fridge, and would not cool. The Freezer still works, though. Full disclosure we have had this refrigerator for about 3.75 years. Samsung said they would have a repairman come out. They could not reach a Samsung qualified repair specialist. When contact was made, we were informed that they would not make a service call to our house, too busy. Samsung encouraged us to find a maintenance specialist, and if the motor or the compressor were faulty, they would cover it.We contacted a local maintenance specialist who could work on Samsung refrigerators. He informed us he could fix it but that he was not going to guarantee the work. He also stated that chances are we would have to repair it soon after. Today we were forced to buy a new refrigerator. Samsung has had significant issues with their refrigerators. ** I would not buy a fridge made by Samsung.

I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator, RS265TDWP, on 8/20/2012 from my local Best Buy and I did not purchase the extended warranty on it. It stopped cooling the refrigerator section on 3/10/2016, 3 years and 6 months old and in less than 24 hours box went from 34* to 54* causing me to scramble to save contents and make plans for service/repairs heading into the weekend. I called the phone number inside the refrigerator which stated it was for factory guaranteed repairs or accessories and did receive prompt response from whoever they were on the East Coast. However the local repair service they told me would be contacting me in 24-72 hours on the West Coast to perform repairs had a number of not so favorable reviews when I researched them online locally. Being out of warranty and with no extended warranty I knew I would be responsible for all repair cost. After thinking about the reviews for about 5-6 hours on a Friday afternoon I went another direction. I had another repair service person working on my refrigerator by 5:30 that evening and he told me the story of the notoriously lousy Samsung Refrigerator saga regarding this problem. His comment prior to starting, frozen evaporation fan, frozen coils, etc., etc. Findings once began work, evaporation fan motor frozen stuck, evaporation coils frozen over, insulation saturated (ruined), unit needs manual defrosting, back panel unit needs replacing. Because he sees this all the time, he stocked Samsung back panel in his service vehicle, good for me I guess, at least I did not have to wait another week for parts to come. He had job completed in about an hour and repairs totaled $411.09. Buyer Beware the internet is full of similar stories regarding Samsung refrigerators and this freezing over problem. Many have been a class action lawsuit filed against Samsung for this. My suggestion, do not buy Samsung Refrigerators without doing your homework and really investigating this issue.

Model # RH25H5611SR/AA purchased April 2016 $1244 (tax/delivery). Nothing but problems starting right after 1 year warranty expired. Repairs are now out of warranty. Replaced temp sensor on fridge side, but coils continue to ice over and internal temp will not get above 50 F even though display says otherwise. Keep getting 2 error codes: 21 C, 22 C. Refrigerator side started malfunctioning 6 months ago and now freezer side. Now icemaker will make ice and then melt a few days later. Such a disappointment and customer Service Department has been no help. Rip off!!

Ice maker & water dispenser have caused unspeakable frustration: We paid a premium for matching upper end appliances including the Samsung refrigerator which has caused my wife and I unspeakable frustration from the first year we purchased it. We love ice tea with ice and thought we bought a high end refrigerator that would allow us to have ice for our ice tea at the touch of a button. But that has certainly NOT been the case! The ice maker does not produce ice due to internal parts freezing up. This problem started within the first year we purchased it and after $100s in repair costs and uncountable hours spend thawing efforts, the same thing keeps happening over and over no matter how dry I get it. Besides freezing up, the motor has always made a loud noise which my wife cant stand and our guests ask what is that noise? Additionally, I had to spend $200 on a countertop ice maker because our $3,000 Samsung ice maker does not work. I hate to sell it to anyone else so we are stuck with it and dont know what to do with the piece of junk! Since Samsung knows that they sold me a design flawed product, I think they should replace my refrigerator ASAP.

Refrigerator purchased November 2011 (Model: RS263TDRS/XAA). Had 1 year warranty that ended Nov 2012. Noticed that refrigerator was not freezing. Had to discard all perishable items (eggs, milk, yogurt, etc). Thought that refrigerator was working, restocked items but found out it was not cooling when milk was sour in 24 hours. Called Samsung and spoke with customer service rep who told me that they could not do anything because warranty had expired. Called home warranty company who identified that block of ice forming within the wall of refrigerator. They attempted to remove the panel to get to back of the refrigerator but panel was frozen solid. I had the repairman to speak with Samsung rep, was told that based on what that actual found as the cause, Samsung would cover the cost. I am still awaiting parts since 6/25/14. Would never buy another Samsung appliance. I have 3 TVs and have had no problems. Refrigerators appears to be designed to fail after 2-3 years.

I would put negative or Zero stars if I could. We are on day 18 with a broken refrigerator and no closer to a resolution. It takes a minimum of 4 days to get a physical service person to arrive and evaluate the problem. In our case it was a severe sealed compressor issue on our refrigerator less than 1 year old and still under factory warranty. After the technician discovered the real problem we waited 3 days for Samsung to determine an exchange was the course of action. 7 Days after that determination we are no closer to getting the exchange we were promised. You would think after the amount of my follow up calls, I could actually reach a person with the ability to simply approve the exchange request. The scripted response is to tell you they will expedite with an email. Horrible service Samsung.

Purchased new in Dec. 2013 for $1150. Since new it has had two thermostats, upper cooler doors(?), lower cooler doors(?), fan motor, and ice maker replaced, very little of it under warranty. Hands down the worst service history of any appliance ever purchased. I dont care much about having to create an account to warn other consumers about the poor quality of Samsung refrigerators.
