Bought black stainless steel refrigerator two months ago. Other people on internet is having same problems with black stainless steel appliances but cant find out any information how to repair.

This Samsung Refrigerator French door, bottom freezer, model # RF217A was purchased through Sears 4 years ago and has not stopped freezing the produce bins since I first received it. I have had Sears service out at least five times to fix it. They have replaced the motherboard, The defrost drain, The ice maker, The EVAP cover, a new probe, It still leaks, and freezes. Buyer beware. Samsung, nor Sears will not replace this obviously defective product, So after 4 years. I have finally given up and will buy a new refrigerator. I had to save the money to afford to purchase a new one, Samsung has won. BUT NEVER AGAIN.

Model RF266AEPN, french door model. Purchased spring 2011. At four years old had to be serviced for the ice dam at the back of the refrigerator causing the fan attached to the evaporator to be compromised and sound as if the refrigerator was about to blow up. The repairman warned me that this was a common problem with Samsung and tried to sell me an extended warranty. I declined. Unfortunately I should have listened because six months later its the same old problem. Today after viewing loads of YouTube videos and reading the commentary I have no doubt this is a widespread problem with every type of Samsung refrigerator including side by side and bottom mount. The suspected causes for the malfunction range from the temperature sensor, to the heating tube around the evaporator coil, to clogged drain, to bad relay switches in the computer module, to poor software. Knowledgeable people seem to fix the problem only to have it occur again. Also made the mistake of buying a Samsung above the stove microwave that makes enough noise that I wonder if it too will blow up on me.

I bought a DMT300 series dishwasher not even 2 years old. For the last 3 months, when you try to do a cycle after about 5 minutes the normal-heavy-quick lights continue to flash and wont wash anymore.. All I can say is that I will never buy a Samsung again. My husband said just go buy another dishwasher. To us its not worth calling someone in to fix it, cause they automatically will charge you about 150.00 bucks just for showing up..

Samsung induction electric range model #NE599N1PBSR - almost immediately this stove top was causing grief. Purchased in Spring 2014 before summer I had placed a call to Samsung to report the problems. I was appeased by the customer service person who declared it was my pots. I had purchased very expensive induction pots and the problem still persisted. I had induction pots as soon as I bought the appliance. I thought they might be inferior. It has continued for 2 years with no solution. Samsung has no record of my problem. Over a month ago Samsungs repair person came to investigate - has been 6 weeks, no callback, I have placed 3 subsequent calls, no callback. I spoke with Samsung today... they have no record, and cant do a thing, they will NOT honor warranty even tho the first complaint was lodged before the expiry of the warranty - once again they have no record of that call. Shame on Samsung. Elements wont work, oven shots off, at best I can use 2 elements at one time. I bought 4 Samsung appliances that day and already had the dishwasher serviced also. Such a waste of money!

After 5 years my refrigerator just quit working. Extended warranty repairs failed twice. Motherboard went out, it was replaced which didnt communicate with the temperature control panel, which was then replaced. The defrost control went out three times. It is on order again to give me time to study my next new one. Samsung wouldnt even give me the time of day, said they would send for review which took thirty minutes for them to tell me to go to he double toothpicks.

Bought a Samsung Refrigerator in Feb 2015. In May of 2016 the Fridge part stopped cooling and I lost everything in the top. Called Repair as the Fridge is not under warranty. The service man made 5 trips out and 2 parts and now it is Sept 7 2016 and it is making a noise so long had to unplug it. It was frozen up again in the fridge part and was not cooling up to 62 degrees even though there is ice frozen to coils. Service could not even get panel off until it thawed for 24 hours or more. I still do not have a refrigerator working. The freezer still works fine like others have said. I am getting the run around and given a ticket number and no service guy will come out (they said they can not get answers from tech support) and there is no wiring diagram as other appliances have. Do your research. Do not buy Samsung!

In 2013 purchased a Samsung Side-by-side SS Refrigerator Model RS26TDR from Lowes. Worked good for about 8-9 months; came home & found the temperature in refrigerator was 60+ degrees; lost all food - called repairman to fix it & filed a loss on homeowners insurance [I had a rider to cover refrigerator loss]; worked great for about 7 more months; came home & found the same thing. This time in addition to losing food we lost at least $1,000 in **. Called repairman & filed a loss on insurance--has a $500 limit less $100 deductible so I didnt really get anything for the drug loss. Went & purchased a new Whirlpool French Door to replace it & moved it into laundry room to use for drugs which take up at least 1/4 of the space. Was working ok as far as I knew & last week came home & found the same problem 60+ degrees in refrigerator & around 0 in freezer.Cleaned everything out & called a repairman--will not work on Samsung appliances; called every repairman in our area - no one would come. Was told I would have to call a Nationwide Repair Company & gave me a phone number. When I called the minimum trip & diagnosis would be around $200 - then there would be labor & parts charged for repair. Also could not come for at least a week. I had to have a refrigerator to store ** & other drugs requiring refrigeration. Called insurance & cannot file a 3rd claim on same appliance so Im out another refrigerator of food & hoping it was caught early enough not to damage the **. I went out & spent $250 on a used refrigerator for the drugs. Have been researching online & found out that Samsung knew they had this problem, did not do a recall & ended up getting the class action suit against them cancelled. I will never ever buy anything Samsung again.

In Oct. of 2014 we went to P.C. Richards to buy kitchen appliances. The salesman we had told us how great Samsung is. He went on to say that he has the exact appliances and his wife loves them. It was the biggest mistake of our life. Lesson we learned not to buy what the salesman suggest you buy. Okay here is what happen. We bought a French door Refrigerator which the ice maker stopped working but I went on YouTube to fix it and it worked. The seal on the door keeps getting ripped from opening and closing. My stove keeps burning my food and pans and I have it on the lowest setting. I cannot leave my stove running if I go out. My oven took a long time to cook. They came out twice to fix it. The heat element wasn’t working right so they changed it. When the man fixed the element he leaned on the oven door which then bent it. My microwave oven turned itself on and the light came on. We went out and when we get home the microwave oven which is also a conventional oven was reading 350 degrees. No one turned it on because no one was home. Three days after the warranty expired the microwave died. Now my dishwasher which is the only item left under warranty is not washing my dishes properly and my dishes are wet when it’s done. I always bought cheap appliances and they lasted a very long time. We feel since we bought more expensive appliances they would last longer.Samsung is a very lousy company. I called Samsung about their products and they said I would have to pay for the tech to come out and fix the products. They didn’t want to know anything or take responsibility for their products. For $8,600.00 the product should have lasted longer than our cheap ones. We also bought a 65” Samsung TV. We had to have that fixed. If it was just us having these problems is one thing but the company knows the problems they have with their products but they turn their head and ignore the problem and keep selling faulty products. There are many complaints about their products. All the complaints all have the same problems. Why doesn’t the government do something about this company. We are on Social Security and can’t go out and buy new appliances let alone losing what we paid for the Samsung appliances $8,600.00 plus the warranties. I hope someone starts a class action suit against Samsung for selling defective items and not making good for them. One other thing I forgot to say, when we got our stove and my husband opened the box. The glass on the stove was busted into pieces and the part on top was all bent. We should have stopped there and sent all the appliances back.

I have a 9 year old Samsung refrigerator that cost almost $2000. The Display Control panel is bad and they no longer make the part to fix it nor do they have a substitute part. So Im sitting here with a $2000 refrigerator that doesnt work! Samsung should not be allowed to sell refrigerators in this country and anybody who buys one should seriously reconsider. I have put almost as much as the original cost in repairs on this thing and thats over and above the warranty work that was done. Its GARBAGE! And they do not stand behind their product. They were going to send out a service technician at MY cost for $100 to tell me that there is no part to fix it! These people are frauds!

I replaced my refrigerator which had served me 27 plus years (it was Whirlpool). I wanted to upgrade, so my son recommended Samsung. It has only been 6 yrs., but the plastic shelves were so brittle on both the refrigerator and freezer. It only took 2 years when these shelves were showing signs of undurability. We are only 3, 65-year-old plus women (sisters) in the household, so we are very careful on our belongings. I am not in the position anymore to buy new ones since I am on fixed income and cant afford to make a big purchase. But now I have to make a loan to buy a new one. When we open the refrigerator and freezer, we get so disgusted. It cost me so much money that it makes me sick to my stomach that this expensive refrigerator is a piece of crap! I will not buy anything Samsung. I’m going to look for Maytag, Whirlpool, or Frigidaire. I dont trust these new companies! I hope Samsung will do something about my problem. I can send them pictures of the shelves.

On December 15, 2015 I purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator. Less than one month after delivery the ice maker quit working, was totally frozen up from leaking water. I purchased this item from Best Buys Pacific. The Geek Squad replaced part of the ice maker but did not remedy the program. Upon searching the internet the above was a known problem with this particular refrigerator. In fact Samsung had issued a technical bulletin on how to fix this problem. In the interim I purchased an extended warranty from Samsung. The same initial problem reoccurred in early December 2016. I took my complaint to the appliance manager at Pacific in Best Buy. He told me this was a Samsung problem. It has now been six weeks and several visits from repair companies the ice maker has not been fixed. It still freezes up, leads water and stops making ice cubes. I was directed to the regional representative for Samsung. Keeps sending out a different repair company without results. Needless to say I am totally frustrated with Samsung and their defective product. I have asked Samsung to replace the refrigerator but upon examining a more recent model the same problem was visible. Samsung continues to sell a defective product. I will be filing complaints with the Texas and Federal lemon laws to try and rectify the above problems. Needless to say I cannot recommend Samsung to anyone.

We were excited about buying our home and I wanted the Samsung French Door Refrigerator in Stainless Steel. My husband begged me not to get it - I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED... We bought the refrigerator in November 2014 and from December 2014 to March 2018. I have had the same problem. The ice maker freezes, it leaks from the ice maker and I have to put a towel down... REALLY... I have called Samsung who passes the buck. They asked me to send all my documentation, which I did, then tells me that I need to get someone out there to do a service order and for ME to pay for it.Then they tell me that in Beaumont, Texas there is not anyone that services Samsung anymore and that I need to find someone... then said BYE. Really, everyone on here is having the same problem and Samsung is not doing anything about a faulty appliance. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product. They do NOT honor their name and do not honor their product. Again BUYER BEWARE of this refrigerator... yes its pretty but it does not work.

It is small and does not take a lot of space on your counter as a lot of them are big which limits rooms for other things you might want to do with your counter space. It has a turn knob which is easy to function and does its thing until the time is up for it to stop. I got back issues and it is just right for someone like me and easy to do in one shot. I purchased a Samsung double door refrigerator about 2 yrs back. From day 1 of purchase it is not working well - does not cool, there is water puddle formation in front of the refrigerator (it is supposed to refrost type). Despite getting a Samsung technician and having it repaired twice still the problem is persisting. I even paid Rs 300-400 both times for the repair even though it is under warranty. I even offered to ship it at my own cost back to Samsung and forget about it and would like to buy another refrigerator from another company that is more reliable and responsive. I suggest to all Indians never to buy a Samsung product in their lifetime. Samsung is most cheating company I came across.

Machine has never cleaned dishes from day one and now it needs 600.00 worth of repairs. A fault code 7E keeps being logged and that will take a drive motor and circuit board replacement. Had service tech out twice while still under warranty for inability to wash dishes properly and they could never find a problem. Now the warranty is expired. It logs this water reflector problem and the parts are covered under warranty, but will cost me 250.00 labor to fix this piece of junk. I should have bought the Bosch instead. Samsung has not responded to our complaint other than to suggest - after 1/2 hr. of discussion - that we call a repair company they recommended. That company said our induction pots dont work on this stovetop because of an engineering issue. They said there was nothing they could do. We returned to Sears in Nanaimo, BC. The sales person plugged in the identical Samsung range, with our pots on it. The pots heated up on the replacement range! The first range was obviously defectve, but neither Samsung of the repair company admitting it. Sears immediately offered us a complete exchange for a new Samsung, or a higher-priced (but unattractive) replacement range. Sears has been great; Samsung ... poor.

Where do we start. We purchased all new appliances for our home within the last 6 months. Within the first couple months a tech came to look at ice maker as wasnt working. Then we went away for Easter long weekend came home open fridge and it was filled with water and water dripping out. I opened the freezer at the bottom and all meat fish etc were all defrosted (frozen bananas were mush). Everything went straight into the garbage including items such as mayonnaise, etc with all the thawed out items also. What a waste of money. We called the brick were we purchased and they were sending a tech. They said wouldnt be for about 2 days but then they were able to schedule on next morning. (Tuesday). I called Samsung also Tuesday morning, advised of what has happened as was told they do not have a replacement policy, only a repair policy. I advised fridge now smells and a Eileen advised not their problem!!! And no one will come in and clean it. She was very rude. Asked to speak to someone higher and was advised she is the highest I could go. Head office does not take calls. Advised has kids and needs a fridge asap. Again she said I would have to wait. Very rude again as I am a paying customer and when large expensive items are purchased they should last longer than 6 months. When tech came he advised the compressor has gone. Part would need to be ordered and it looks like possibly next week before they can fix it. Unacceptable!!! Called Samsung again today. Again received very rude customer service and advised to bad. The fridge will not replaced and I will have to wait for someone to come repair it whenever they are available. No idea when. So I have a new broken down fridge and living out of a cooler with 3 kids trying to keep everything cold. What a joke... and also out over 300 in what was good food. I was passed around to 4 different people at Samsung customer service this morning. When you buy a product there should be a policy when it breaks down. Why should I be inconvenient and have to not have a working fridge. Think twice with Samsung. I have done recent searching and was surprised of previous lawsuits against them with fridges and other appliances. People will continue to purchase these items. They get your money then you are not a customer anymore. You are a number.

Samsung refrigerator rf217 - Purchased it from Sears along with service contract. Within weeks the veg containers filled with water- have had the repair service here at least 9 times for same issue. Its now near the limit of coverage and the water is still coming into the veg area and icing up. The repair service admits that the Samsung ref is trouble. I will also add that there is a crack in the plastic in the area where the two top doors meet. Can find no cause for this other than poor quality. The issues were the vent blocked so cant breathe. This happened till the entire inside back panel was replaced- build up of frost in freezer told door didnt close properly the- that the ref wasnt balanced enough somewhere. There is a list of excuses. Bottom line Samsung knew of the issue. Just read the booklet that comes with the product and the number of times they mention water build up. Its cheaper for them to rewrite the book than correct the problem.UPDATE ON 05/28/2018: Its near the end of the 5 year service contract - the same problems have never been removed - tipping back replacing fan - wires - back panel etc. The service was here twice this month. Called today. Went through all the repairs for same issue. Sabrina said she would put me on hold then came back. Said she couldnt hear me and hung up -- I called back. Went over everything again with a man this time. He informed me that the tech had to come to repair and if the tech felt it couldnt be fixed then they would replace. Was told I could file a replacement for lost food. I have had it with stalling the ice and water in the veg containers has gone on from the time I bought the thing to present and its still not fixed. Still filling with water ice and rotting the food and now I am told that the tech must attempt to fix the problem before they will replace it. Am fed up with Sears Samsung and the quality of home appliances - doesnt even rate one star. Would rate it a minus if I could so its one star and thats even too much.

Samsung RF-28hdedbsr - WOW! Thought I had done my due diligence before buying this refrigerator but unfortunately I never saw this site. Purchased this appliance for several thousands of dollars in May 2016 and worked fine until July 2017 when ice maker quit functioning properly. The problem is that when ice bucket was full the sensor quit telling the ice maker to stop filling the trays. It just kept filling and dumping ice until unit was so full that it froze up everything. Then like everyone else I had to use hairdryer to unthaw the ice maker compartment. This worked a couple of times but now ice maker has totally quit working. What a POS!Of course out of factory warranty and did not buy extended warranty as every GE, Kenmore, Frigidaire refrigerator I have ever purchased over the last 40 years havent had any problems. Big mistake. NEVER PURCHASE ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCE again tv, fridge microwave etc. With so many complaints why hasnt some govt agency gotten involved or a class action lawsuit been filed to make Samsung recall or fix this problem as they are obviously selling a defective product.

I want to start this by saying please buy something else. I bought the model # dw80j7550ug and I wish I never did. This thing has a dry feature on it and guess what? It doesnt dry. Ive been on the phone with Samsung a number of times and they tell me that its highly recommended to use a dish washing aid. I dont understand why must I use an aid to dry my dishes. They say it helps to repel water but wait I thought the water is what helps wash the dishes? It gets better, they also said to open it when its done to allow to dry. So now I have to either wait for it to get done not drying my dishes or Ill have to come home to open my dishwasher so that way my dishes dont smell like mildew. Thanks Samsung for such a nice product that doesnt do what it says it will do. It also doesnt have it anywhere on the box or user manual saying you need to babysit your dishwasher. Also, buy some new dish drying towels because our dishwasher that you just bought for over $700 doesnt dry dishes. Samsung lost a long time buyer and supporter. Ill never buy another Samsung product!!

They said my warranty has expired and couldnt help me. I asked for a referral for repair. I called the referral and they wont return my calls. I am very disappointed with the refrigerator and Samsung service. I own Samsung TVs, appliances and phones. I will not buy another Samsung product again. :(

I purchased a suite of Samsung appliances. The refrigerator was delivered damaged. The delivery personnel called Samsung and put me on the phone with them. They said they would send repair to replace the damaged door within the week. That was five weeks ago, about ten phone calls and many hours of being on hold. They say someone will call me back with resolution details. No one ever does. These items were purchased at Home Depot, who also will not do anything.

Purchased this microwave from Lowes about 2 years ago. Dont have receipt anymore so dont know exact date... It now gets the -SE- error code and researching online after the fact have learned it to be quite a common problem and a design flaw in Samsung microwaves. Called Samsung to fix this issue and they said they will only replace parts for this error code in older models and not the SMH9027ST models... I ordered the display part and tried to replace myself but cant seem to open the bottom silver piece where this part goes. Will never again purchase Samsung products of any kind... Terrible customer service and products with known issues.

Got fridge delivered and moved it in two weeks later due to remodel. No ice. Called service center again and again and each time given instructions on resetting the thing. Nothing. Then finally got service ticket and supposed to get call. No call. Called Samsung back. Said allow 48 hours for the call. 72 hours - no call. Still waiting on call. Samsung confirms ticket number and contact information. Service people on the phone treat you like an idiot. One guaranteed me that changing the temperature on the ice maker would solve the problem. Another told me the wires on top of the door hinges were the problem. Reset the icemaker about ten times. Water in the door is fine. Another one said it was not getting water. There is only one water supply line. Another said maybe the unit is not level. What bull that was. Nothing works.

We purchased this dishwasher Model # DW80H9930US/AA on the recommendation of the HHGregg Sales Representative based on reliability. We have had nothing but problems since December 2014 when we purchased it, with 3 service orders to date. The last one is a repeat for the issue that we had less than a month ago. On top of that, Samsung uses servicing dealers that do not have parts in stock. Thus, they are allowed to order the parts based on the repair order making the customer wait the additional time for the repair. Of course, if there is another issue, you need to start all over again with a service request where they try to get you to repair it yourself using their manuals. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again!

We have had the Samsung Refrigerator Model RF263BEAEWW/AA for about 1 1/2 years now which we purchased from Conns... a.k.a. Cons. This will be the 3rd time that we will have to call the repair service for repair. Because our refrigerator is out of warranty, we are, so to speak, been screwed by the pooch. Conns will not step up to the plate and offer any kind of service or help... Will never go there again, nor recommend that store. (NFM here I come). Nor will Samsung say that there is any problem with this defective product though they have Class Action Lawsuits against them for similar products. Needless to say, we will never step foot into a Conns (Cons) store again, nor buy Samsung if they will not stand behind their product. If anyone has any suggestions or help, it would be appreciated.

We purchased the Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80K505US last fall. We had the service techs here to check on it as the dishes were coming out with food stuck on them no matter what we did. We did everything the tech said to avoid this problem and it didnt change a thing. Two weeks ago we received the replacement machine that Samsung sent but it has exactly the same problem. As far as we are concerned this is a design flaw. The rinse cycle is not working properly as the dishes come out dirtier than when they were put in.According to the last service tech who was here 2 DAYS AGO, it is caused by the companies trying to go greener with the machines. What use are they if they do not do what they are supposed to. I am currently using both the detergent and rinse agent they recommended and now I also am supposed to buy another product - Finish dishwasher booster. I have an issue with the chemicals as they cause me health problems so I am assuming that we bought an expensive floor ornament and will have to go back to washing dishes by hand.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator Model 3 RF217ACWP/XAA in November 2013
We purchased a Samsung refrigerator Model 3 RF217ACWP/XAA in November 2013 from Best Buy. 7 months after purchase the crisper drawers began filling up with several inches of water. We called for service and were told not to put food close to the back wall of the refrigerator. We complied (although that certainly reduced the interior space to less than what we thought we were purchasing). Within a few more months, the problem occurred again with water pooling underneath the crisper drawers and inside the left crisper. A second call went out. We expressed concern that this was a recurring problem and our one-year manufacturers warranty was up in November 2014. A Samsung representative suggested we purchase the extended warranty to cover future repairs on the defective refrigerator that Samsung sold us! Today we emptied 10 cups of water from underneath the crisper drawers. I have had it. I will never, ever, ever purchase ANYTHING manufactured by Samsung. The only thing worse than the quality of this refrigerator is the lack of any effective service. My next stop is small claims court unless they take this piece of junk back and return my money!!!!

Since purchasing this Samsung-Bottom Freezer Refrigerator in 2009, Ive had at least 6 service calls, 2 replaced refrigerators and my problems are just as they are the day I purchased it. I have the extended service warranty (a joke). The ice maker sprays water over my frozen vegetables and has rarely made a whole ice cube! It crushes the ice when it does make ice or makes pieces of ice! You can set the freezer to 0 and within 24 hours, it changes to 7 below. This freezes everything in the top of the refrigerator including my fresh vegetables, tea, jello, and whatever is there. Ive lost at least 2 or 3 purchases approximately $100.00 each time to this problem. I called Samsung Executive Customer Service and spoke to Byron and he absolutely stated they will not stand behind this product as it was more than 1 year old. How about that for customer satisfaction? They dont care, theyre into the Apple thing and to heck with everything else they make. Im done with them. Im done with them! A&E Service people, who service for Lowes, cannot or will not or do not know how to fix my refrigerator. I will never, never purchase another Samsung refrigerator or anything else with Samsung on it!

Samsung’s refrigerators are nothing but disappointment. Their refrigerators are not cheap, so you would think you get what you pay for... but you’re paying for a fridge that doesn’t cool the food and when it is it is never the posted temperature. This fridge will not only cost you thousands to purchase, but then thousands in lost food due to spoilage and hundreds if not thousands in repairs. Samsung’s warranty and customer service are jokes, and neither can help in rectifying their wrongdoings! They have been selling the same faulty design in all their refrigerators since 2006 despite the class action suit against them for their faulty design. They will tell you it’s a rare issue... it is not. There is a service bulletin out about it. They’re aware. They just don’t care. Last week my Samsung “fridge” caused mold in my toddlers cup due to improper cooling, this is how I discovered (for the 3rd time) it stopped cooling once again... despite it reading a temperature of 38*... not cooling while displaying a temp that indicates it is, is causing unsafe food temps that have made people sick! They don’t care. There is a reason there is an FB group of over 25,000 asking for a recall on all Samsung refrigerators. If you make it through the warranty period without issues, rest assured your product will break in 1 months time. Don’t buy Samsung. It is nothing but pretty TRASH!

Bought a Samsung dual electric range and French door freezer on the bottom fridge as well as extended warranty! Multiple breakdowns of fridge with over 4 call outs! Stove smells of electrical burn when using the oven. The stove top receptive plug has had a short since day one. They claim they have a no lemon clause, but these were both lemons. Didnt last 5 years! Will never buy Samsung again and am now wondering about their phones etc. Loyalty begins with quality products and service. Samsung appliances and service are sorely lacking. Dont waste your money or your time and dont trust the companies that sell their products under the assurance that they are a quality product... anyone who sells junk is not to be trusted!

How to fix Samsung microwave SE Code - We had the exact same problem ... SE code out of the blue, keypad wouldnt work at all. I have the solution and all you need is a Phillips head screwdriver, no skill required for the rest. I searched internet, found a YouTube video on how to take the panel apart. Unplug your microwave, follow directions to take panel off - a 5 minute job. Unplug and replug blue and white connectors...easy. Take some rubbing alcohol and wipe off that green ribbon (I read this a lot on other sites). While you have everything apart, wipe down the inside, there was some gook behind the panel so I figured, what the heck. I put it back together, plug it in. We havent had any problems since. Save your money, this is a very easy fix. I feel like the quality of every thing these days is cheap, made overseas **, so having this happen in under 24 months did not surprise me. Im just glad I didnt get ripped off further by Samsung telling me a professional repairman was needed. It was a 20 minute fix from start to finish, maybe less.

I am doing something that I was hoping that I would not have to do. I am putting the Samsung Corporation on public blast because I have been given absolutely no other option! After purchasing a top of the line dishwasher just last fall, our unit has required repair for error codes 3 TIMES. All were under warranty and while the first tech was educated and efficient...the problem was not fixed leading us to where we are today. Approximately 6 weeks ago (while still within the manufactures warranty) we placed a call for repair. After an hour of waiting on the line, we were told that a service repair shop would be calling us. Never did. I called said company 3 times and left messages hoping for a return call. Never happened. Called Samsung back...waited an hour and 40 minutes for a rep. Was told that a repair shop would be calling me to schedule. Gave me the number for the exact same repair shop. I declined. Asked for another shop. They finally agreed to send someone else out at your request...like it was unusual that I wanted another company. That company called and scheduled with me but needed a week to order parts (how did they know what part if there was no in person diagnostic?). Fine. No dishwasher 2 weeks...ok, well be patient. Came out, replaced main board in about 30 min and was out. Started the cycle and it looked to be working and left. Day after, first full load in the machine...ERROR CODE. Are you kidding me? Called Samsung...I could go on and on about the HOURS AND HOURS we have sat on hold with Samsung. At least 1 hour and 30 minutes EACH CALL, EVERY TIME. We have phone records to support this. We have asked to be expedited to executive customer service = declined. We have asked for a replacement unit = declined. We have asked why this has happened = no answer. WE HAVE BEEN MORE THAN PATIENT but at this point it has been upwards of SIX WEEKS since this has started and there has been NO RESOLUTION whatsoever. We have followed up almost every other day with this company to check the status, we have proven our bill of sale, we have provided them with many, many, many opportunities to make this right = DECLINED. We asked for our case to be forwarded to a higher level = declined. We feel totally at their mercy. We are at our wits end because we feel we are being taken advantage of and have been given NO SOLUTION to our issue. The customer service has been DEPLORABLE to say the least. I am BEGGING for someone, anyone...please help! Has anyone experienced this? What do we do? We 100% do not want this unit anymore (when warranty is up...well be responsible to pay for these constant error codes to be fixed) and we would be more than happy with either a full refund or an exchange for a non-Samsung dishwasher (from HH Gregg). We feel like this company has us strung up with no option but to be continually jacked around. We have asked for a copy of our communication transcript and were told that they cannot provide that for us. (WHAT?) We do not have finances to pursue legal action, but if we did, that is the route we feel is appropriate after all that we have experienced.

I will never buy another Samsung product again! The high-end dishwasher stopped working after three months! They gave us a run-around about the warranty. They tried to say it was an electrical issue and would not send a repair person out until we hired an electrician. The electrician we hired verified it was a bad control panel and not our fault. They finally sent out someone and they confirmed. They were supposed to come back in two weeks to install the new part. We have called over 20 times and Samsung does not return phone calls and claim they will help and then do not respond. They have horrible customer service. We were warned that they never stand behind their warranties, but we bought anyway. Big mistake on our part! We will never buy Samsung again! Please do not make the same mistake we did!

After complaining about the ice maker on the RF263 for over a year because of poor production, Samsung said nothing could be done to shorten the cycle time. I am getting about 1 cycle per four hours. Even with Power Freeze (as recommended in the owner’s manual).I called Samsung tech support and they said that power freeze would cause slower production of ice. They said that the filter should be changed more often than six months and that I should not be using a whole house (huge) water filter. They asked me to press the reset button (and hold for 8 seconds), which I did and the ice dumped. They said not to expect ice for 12 hours and that I should be getting a dump about every 1 and 1/2 hours.Furthermore, the OM says to flush the new filter with at least six gallons of water – without telling me how to flush it! I asked why none of this was discussed in the woefully inadequate owner’s manual. Whats more, all the techs know is what is written down in front of them, without having any knowledge of why or the logic of what they are telling you to do (or not).

And now the ninth one is dead... I have spend over $1000.00 on a $3000.00 refrigerator, just have ice. To make matters worse, the front door under the ice maker has more rust, from the leaking ice maker, than a 30 year old ship rusting at sea. As a single father of four girls, money is tight and we can no longer budget a thousand plus dollars for ice! RF26 French Door Fridge - Purchased at Home Depot for my rental house and I
RF26 French Door Fridge - Purchased at Home Depot for my rental house and I took delivery on August 2015. The price was right but a previous experience with a Samsung fridge (since replaced with GE model) made me buy a 5 year extended warranty for this unit. Glad I did, but in the end the result will be the same. I eventually gave my first 2012 problem counter-depth fridge (RF19) away as I could not in good conscience sell it with THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM I AM HAVING WITH THIS NEWER MODEL!!! A sheet of ice forms under both crisper drawers. I know Im an idiot for taking a chance on Samsung again. Why you may ask... Call me foolish, I wanted to believe they had 5 years to improved their obvious design flaws. Why wouldnt they with so many of these same complaints?? First time shame on Samsung, this time shame on me!! (And maybe Home Depot.) Ill call Asurion and start the process of disappointment. I know what to tell the tech guy when he arrives. There will be no talk of ordering thermostats or other expensive parts or any of that nonsense. Just like I learned on a YouTube video following the first incident. Ill instruct the tech to carefully remove the cover of the twin cooling tower they call it. Then detach the cable harness and swing it out of the way. I wont actually do the work cause that would void my extended warranty. Ill just help with the hair dryer to defrost the frozen water in the center of the drain tray at the bottom of the heater (defroster) elements. The tiny hole the water is supposed to be able to escape thru is no bigger than the diameter of an ink pen refill. The solution is take a scrap piece of copper wire, say 14 gauge and wrap it several times around the heater bar and send it down the center of the tiny hole. This wire then helps transfer the heat directly to that point that freezes up. Reassemble and good to go. At least it worked on that fridge for over 1 year, then the problem came back. Like the guy on YouTube said, it works for while, then repeat as often as necessary. By this time I had learned a trick on how to keep the dripping water out of the food drawers and ruining my veggies (stand a sponge upright behind the drawers). That way all I had to do was check for the ice sheet under the drawers ever week or two, and chuck that ice in the sink. I was willing to put up with no loss of food as an improvement in my situation, resigning myself to the fact that I would not be replacing my home unit with any model of Samsung, even if it were FREE. Samsung was no help at all with the first fridge problems. Reading these comments here, it would seem that that hasnt changed at all. So my lesson learned is similar to others here, I will NEVER EVER purchase ANY Samsung appliance in the future. Also, what I will do different this time is I will file a complaint with the BBB against Home Depot, I wish all the commenters here that say class action this, or the government should do that would take a similar approach. I think this formal complaint action is one that may eventually lead to consumer protection laws being invoked against these thieves who refuse to stand behind their products.

After replacing the panel/circuit board/wiring harnesses/entire door, they gave up & gave me a new one which lasted 7 years. Call Samsung - was told it could not be level (give me a break). Why does it not do it all the time if it is not level, Samsung should come out with a fix for this. Also they told me to call a local Samsung repair, what a joke. I do not think they know how to fix the problem. Why do I want to pay for a service call. UNHAPPY IN TENN.

We have had ongoing issues with this fridge since it was 13 months old. We are on the third icemaker and have had the latest motherboard fix installed on 6-12-20. We deal with a drippy ice and water dispenser, water under the crispers, and very inconsistent fridge and freezer temps. The fridge display will say 37° when the temp is actually anywhere between 38-58°. We have lost over $200 in food. I have personally endured an 8 hour online support chat, numerous phone calls, and emails to seek full compensation for this defective appliance so I may purchase a safe fridge. After posting an honest review on the Lowes website I was contacted by Samsung support and on 9-10-20 and Samsung emailed me paperwork offering me a refund of $2448.29 for my defective unsafe refrigerator. This refrigerator has been unsuccessfully repaired three times. We are using a mini fridge in our kitchen because the Samsungs inconsistent temps are not food safe. I completed the online refund paperwork & returned it electronically and mailed the actual paperwork via certified mail on 9-17. They contacted me 9-18 by text and have switched my refund amount to only $1530.18. This is not a warranty issue, this is a known design defective (since 2006) that Samsung continues to sell to unsuspecting customers. They appear to use unethical and fraudulent bait and switch tactics with customers.

I purchased a new Samsung refrig 267 that has had a few service issues. The ice maker is very noisy and does not work smoothly, but the largest issue is the cooling system that leaks water and freezes under the cool pantry drawer. I had an authorized service agent come to fix the problem, but after an hour and a service charge, he said it was not repairable. Samsung will not stand behind the product and would not help in any way. Due the fact that they have thousands of unhappy product owners, I would hope that they would take responsibility and own up, even if it takes replacing the product at no charge. I understand the later models have new technology that eliminates the problem that thousands of current owners are stuck with.

I had a terrible experience with Samsung. I ordered a Samsung Fridge and within a year and a half the compressor went out. Samsung at first wanted to fix the compressor, but since there were no techs near where I live, they decided to refund our money. It took an agonizing 2 months of trying to get them to give us our money. One customer service rep laughed at me when I asked what would happen if it took longer to get our refund before our new fridge and she laughed and said, “Mam, it’s not going to take that long.” That was only 1 week into the process. One representative gave me a fake # when I asked to talk to someone higher up. They even made me cut the cord of the fridge and take a picture of it and send it to them. I was without a fridge for 2 months and still no refund. They would tell me someone would be calling and no one would ever call. I called at least twice a week if not more and they would just give me the runaround. But would always say not to get rid of the fridge until we get the refund. We no longer could go any longer without a fridge so we went ahead and ordered a new one - Whirlpool this time. I got my delivery date, so I called Samsung to let them know that our new fridge was coming and they would be taking away our Samsung fridge so I needed to make sure that they had everything they needed before it went. Samsung told me NOT to get rid of it until I got the refund. I asked when will I get my refund? Every week, they would say, within 2-3 days and every week would pass and NO REFUND. Our new fridge came and I immediately called Samsung to see if I could send it with the delivery guy because he would take it away for free. They said no. So now we are stuck with our old fridge with nowhere to take it unless we pay $200 to dump it. Samsung did not care, they said it was not their responsibility. I will NEVER buy anything Samsung again! They have the worst customer service and products.

Purchase Date 3/17/16. The Ice Maker (RF23HC) started freezing over about 1 year after we purchased. We started using a blow dryer to melt the huge chunks of ice. Now the entire back panel of the refrigerator freezes over and water pools in the bins. Clearly Samsung has known about this issue for years but still continues to sell the faulty refrigerators. There should be a recall on the refrigerator and full replacements supplied.

I purchased a brand new in the box Samsung over the range microwave, installed it. It worked well and was beautiful, stainless steel and black. I worked away from home off and on about two years, came back to live at home again full time. One day it said SE on the screen. I called Lowes. They wouldnt take it back. I called Samsung. They told me to call a service person at my own expense. I said, No! I explained I had barely used it and no way was I spending another $170 added to the $200-$300 it cost me initially. So basically, they sell disposable microwaves. I also own a Samsung top load washer and dryer that cost about $1800-$2000. So when these crap out, I will load them all in my truck and drop them through their nearest Samsung plate glass windows. If I wanted to purchase disposable ** in the first place, I would have done so. Kiss my **, Samsung! I tell everyone about this! Seriously, they suck!

I have a Samsung French door refrigerator with the cooling drawer. This is the worst product. I have contacted Samsung and they sent me to a service company who has come out three times and the refrigerator is still not working. First the freezer wouldn’t cool. The technician added Freon twice. Now both the refrigerator and freezer have stopped working. The item is icing up and the ice maker doesn’t work and makes a strange noise. All I get is the runaround from Samsung. So three missed days of work and two grocery orders ($600 - I have a large family of 6) later I still have not refrigerator/freezer. Buyer beware - avoid Samsung at all cost. Their customer service is horrible. Even the repair contractor said they have all kinds of issues with Samsung and the company will require that all parts are replaced before they will replace the item - even if the parts are unrelated to the problem. I am filing a BBB against Samsung. They know their products are defective/faulty.

I recently replaced all my appliances and I was tempted by the Samsung style so I bought all Samsung appliances. The problem so far was the dishwasher after 2 months old. Reading on Internet I figured out the inlet valve went bad. I have tried to contact Samsung customer service multiple times. The waiting time is very frustrating. The representatives dont really know what they are talking about. They just waste even more of the time. They are very polite though but not helpful. Finally, they told me they will send me a technician. This was exactly 2 months ago. Im still waiting for them to come and repair the dishwasher. At this point we know that replacing the dishwasher again may be the best option. Tossing $500 bucks annoys me but dealing with Samsung its not worth it anymore. I tried online search: no usable results. I tried online chat: they connected me to a Printer Expert for crying out loud! Samsung electric slide-in range. First -- Samsung does not honor its warranties. Second -- in a period of 3 years, the left front burner cause a break in the glass in the same place while boiling water on 8, not high. After pressing Samsung relentlessly and being accused of lying, they finally replaced the top, but with no additional warranty. Their repair people here in Ill, Unique didnt even run diagnostics. Less than one year later the same burner caused the same break with the same configuration as stated above. I was across the room, no I didnt hit the glass and no Im not a liar. Third -- I did manage to set a hot dog on fire using the broiler. I let the fire burn out as trying to fix it would add oxygen and thats not a great idea. It burned out the oven altogether. The oven will no longer work at all. Finally -- as for operation --- If you lean on the control system at all -- say to lift a pot from the back burner, you will likely turn on another burner or turn your oven on or off without knowing it. Great product. So, after spending too much on an inferior product I am now in the position of having to spend even more money to purchase a new oven. One might also consider the battery and glass problems that Samsung has had with their phones. Inferior glass... Inferior sub-contractors (Unique)... Inferior claims dept. Dont do this to yourself.

My Samsung French Door Refrigerator, model # RF32FMQDBSR/AA quit cooling after 12.5 months of use. It took two months and two visits from the technician to determine that the problem was with the sealed refrigeration system. The first trip the technician replace a circuit board and left immediately. This did not fix the problem. Communication with the Samsung provided service technician was very poor. At first the technician has excuses for not coming back then he just did not respond to calls. I called Samsung and requested another service company. They referred me back to the same guy. After each call I was would be called within 24 to 48 hours. Never happened. He did eventually come back (it has now been two months) and changed the temperature sensor. This did not fix the problem. He said the problem was in the sealed refrigeration system and could not be repaired. So I Called Samsung to ask how this would be handled. The sealed refrigeration system has a five year warranty. First, I was told that they would exchange the unit and would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. Nothing! So I called back and they said they wanted a second opinion from a second technician and would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. Again no response. So I called again and They had referred me back to the same company as before. When I told them that this is the same company as before they said they would look for another company and would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. Again I had to call them to get a status. They said that they did not have a second company in the area to get the second opinion; therefore, they could not exchange the unit, and that I would be getting a refund instead. Every time I call it just gets worse. They say I will only get a partial refund. So I asked if the unit has a five year warranty on the sealed system how come I cannot get an exchange or get it repaired. Samsung customer executive care said the warranty is not valid because there is no service available in my area to fix the sealed system. You think they would replace it. Nope! It has now been over three months and I am waiting on the emails with the instructions on how I am to proceed.

I purchased a Samsung RF263BEAESR refrigerator 3 years ago because I thought Id get quality and good service. While the ice maker froze and the service person fixed it by using a steam gun it happened again. Easy fix though, since I have a hair dryer. Last week the handle came off the freezer drawer. I had purchased a store warranty that is still in effect; however when I called for service the representative said handles are not included in the warranty. I called the Authorized Service Company who sent a repairman out charging us $75+tax. He said that this model has no way to replace the handle and the only solution is to replace the whole freezer drawer at a cost of $465 and another service charge which means a total cost of $625. The repairman said older models had an access at the top of the drawer which would allow such a repair, but the new models do not have this handy option. To me this is a design flaw that requires the customer excess cost.

I purchased this Samsung Convection Electric Stove approximately 4 years ago as Samsung received good reports for its electronics and appliances. Sometimes, there is a ticking noise when I turn the oven on. I called Samsung in the beginning of the malfunctioning and was told my oven was no longer under warranty. We have had the Samsung DW80F600 for 2 years and it is not working. Called customer service and ended up in some foreign country with staff who had no idea what to do. The only solution was to call a technician which I did and awaiting for him to show up. I suspect that as with most posts here, the technician will tell us that the repair will cost a few hundred dollars in which case it will be cheaper to buy a new one. WE had a GE dishwasher for 20 years and never had a problem with it. Like their Samsung phones, I suspect they cannot produce good products. Many other good brands to choose from.Updated 9/21/2016 - Samsung has a con system going on. THEY KNOW THERE IS A QUALITY PROBLEM WITH THEIR DISHWASHERS AND THEY CHOOSE TO DO NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. Please read the rest of the post. I promised to let you know what happened with the fix of my dysfunctional Samsung DW80F600, 2 year-old dishwasher.I called the appliance repair company Totem Appliance that was recommended by Samsung and set up an appointment for September 21, 2016. I was told that they cannot tell me over the phone what the problem was until the technician had a chance to diagnose the problem. The fee for this diagnosis I was told is $115. The technician showed up and lo and behold was carrying a replacement part. I asked him what that part was and he told me that this is the part that needs to be replaced. The exact part is the Brake Case Assembly - I believe part # DD82-01111A (as shown on the package). I asked him how he knew what the problem was and his response was that Samsung fielded many such complaints and by now they know what the problem is. Reluctantly I told him to go ahead and fix the problem. The cost for this part is $400 (a new dishwasher costs $600). He pulled the dishwasher out and replaced the bracket case assembly. He turned the dishwasher on to test it and amazingly it did not work. The Smart Auto error was blinking. He said that the dishwasher senses water and we need to leave the dishwasher door open for 24 hours for the water inside to dry or alternatively, he can dry the water himself. I said he should dry the water rather than us wait for 24 hours (not knowing whether we are going to see this company again). He pulled out the dishwasher (again), flipped it over, and unscrewed the bottom panel. Lo and behold, no water to be found, meaning there was no water as he claimed. He then said he needs to look at the ecs sensor. He took it apart, cleaned it and screwed back the bottom panel. He turned the dishwasher on and my goodness, it did not work again. The Smart Auto light was blinking again. He then said he has to call head office. He did call head office and they told him he needs to replace the pcb which is the main control board. He told me that this part is warranted for 5 years. I wanted to know why did he not replace the pcb in the first place and he said that Samsung told them to replace all three parts, regardless of the problem and then charge for the ecs and bracket case assembly only. In other words, since the pcb is under warranty they want to give you the impression that you are getting a so called deal.Since he did not have the pcb on him, nor did he have a replacement ecs sensor, he said that he will return the next day (Thursday, September 22) with the parts and replace them. So what does this all mean - 1. This is one big CON; 2. Rather than first replace the warranty part, namely the pcb, they sell you the most expensive parts first and if the fix does not work, only then they offer a replacement pcb. This to me is cause for a class action lawsuit and perhaps inform the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to trigger a recall. If you all agree with me then lets go for it. We all know by now the problems that Samsung is having with the Galaxy phone suggesting that quality is not part of the Samsung culture and secondly, they think their customers are stupid.

Add me to the list of very unhappy Samsung microwave customers. I had the same problem as everyone else in the same time frame. After just 2 years, the Samsung Microwave SMH9187b started beeping and flashing the SE error code. Samsung was no help, telling us to turn off the breaker. It never reset itself. Then they said they would cover the repair if it was the display but not if it was the box (brain) of the microwave. When I asked how we would know which it was, they said you wont until the repair people came out. Calling repair, they said it would be a minimum of $70 visit fee and $90 for the part. So that would be at least $160. Repair also said it is not the display, that the SE code means more than that. Im very disappointed with Samsung and am now looking for a new microwave. Anyone has any recommendations?

The parts totaled $497.39, plus $165 labor along with $39.07 tax, total $686.46. The repairman gave me all the part replacement information and recommended that I contact Samsung Customer service since the problem I am having is common for this model, RF28HMEDBSR/AA. The customer service rep looked up the serial number and said that the ref is three years old and that the ice maker is only under warranty for one year. I said, You mean that Samsung believes that the ice maker should only last one year plus and the ref and freezer should last five years. I purchased our Samsung French Door Refrigerator from Lowe’s under 2 years ago. Approximately 6 months ago I noticed what looked like possible spaghetti sauce splatter on the front of the fridge and when I went to wipe it off realized it was rust. At the time the refrigerator was approximately 1.4 years old, had been kept inside the entire time and we cleaned as instructed by the Lowe’s employee when it was purchased. We did not purchase the extended warranty but I called the Samsung Helpline thinking they might offer to replace the doors as rusting doors seems like a clear manufacturers defect in my opinion. I was told that this fell under cosmetic issues and therefore there was nothing they could do for us except offer to send a technician to look at it. So, I still have a rusting fridge in my kitchen. Then 3 weeks ago I came down to our kitchen to leave for work to find our kitchen floor absolutely flooded. The ice maker valve had apparently broken causing our water supply to kick water out of the fridge into the kitchen while we slept. The first technician (suggested by Samsung Helpline) could not identify the problem but said he would replace the inlet valve, ice maker and mother board for approximately $450.00. Not to mention we had to pay him $45 simply to come inspect the refrigerator. We chose not to have him touch the fridge since his shotgun approach to the problem did not make sense to us but were out the $45.00. The second technician identified the valve as the problem and between part/labor we paid about $240.00. So far no more floods and the ice maker is still working. We purchased this refrigerator because of its nice appearance and based on our understanding of Samsung’s reputation which I thought would translate to a reliable product - a decision I clearly regret. Im clearly disappointed in Samsung as I had faith their product would be more reliable and/or their service more professional. Im also disappointed in myself because the refrigerator I purchased 15 years from a different company and havent had to put a cent into is purring right along in my garage and regret not showing more loyalty to that company.

From owning a Samsung TV we felt we could trust the brand by buying a dishwasher from the company. How wrong can one be. It seems they have no idea how a simple dishwasher works. Darn thing runs for over 2 hours and the dishes dont come out very clean. We have to prewash them which is a real bummer. UNCLEAN stuff collects under the door frame at the bottom of the washer which needs to be wiped off. It was black like mold. This is a box that is supposed to clean and stay clean and it isnt. Id expect the company recall these units as they are not healthy. We paid a lot of money for this poorly designed machine and I am thinking about taking it back to Best buy whom I bought it from. Not their problem as they just carry the brand. .

I purchased a series of Samsung appliance just less than 2 years ago. They have all, every single one, had problems. The ice maker on the fridge has to be manually defrosted about every 3rd week. When it is working it drips water down the door making the door shelves unusable. The heat sensor on the oven was replaced once already and is now giving problems again, which requires me to pull out and unplug the unit after each time I use the oven. The dishwasher door no longer closes properly, so I have to pull it out and attach a clamp on each side to use it. In each case the problems started just as warranty expired. I have had multiple service calls (at my own cost) and in no case was the problem addressed. The fixes that I have for I learned from the internet. In summary, they are clearly poorly made, the service is non existent, and generally, I plan to make it my goal in life to spread the word about how crappy these appliances are.

Bought my Samsung refrigerator less than 3 years ago, March, 2016. I have had to have the ice maker replaced and now the refrigerator is not cooling properly. It has taken a month to get a repairman in to fix the problem. Less than 36 hours later after it being repaired, I was awaken at 4 am in the morning with my refrigerator making the same noise and stopped cooling AGAIN. Luckily the refrigerator is still under warranty but I was without for a month, now it is going to be another 2 weeks before they can come out and replace the same part they just replaced. It is 2 weeks before Thanksgiving, how is anyone supposed to live without a refrigerator at this time of year? This is inexcusable! Samsung needs to buck up and get these items fixed or replace our units with new ones!!!
