My problem is like everyone else!!! My RF217 is less than 2 years old when drain froze up wrecking the fan!!! Having been in the appliance business for over 30 years, I have never saw such a poorly designed system!!! After defrosting and installing a new fan, it worked for a couple of months when it started leaking into the crisper drawers telling me the drain was already frozen!!! I made a heater out of a copper wire and thought I had it fixed. But three months later, same old crap!!! Samsung knows of this problem but is not recalling the problem, even though they make a kit to fix it with!!! I suggest everyone that has or had this problem call the commerce commission and report their experience. In the meantime, you can buy the kit online such as eBay for around $125.00... Let refrigerator thaw for several hours so you dont break cover or insulation foam behind it!!!

We bought the Samsung Smooth Top NE595R0ABSR stove and for the first year it was awesome. Heated things quickly, oven did not heat up the whole kitchen even when roasting a turkey. THEN - 14 months later turned on the oven, there was sparks and it blew the breaker. No warranty and with research found that it was common to lose a oven element ever so often but only if you use the oven, which we do every 10 to 14 days. Then the burners start going out, but only if you use them often. OK I admit we cook our meals and dont dine out, silly us for wanting a reliable stove. I wish I could give it negative 4 stars. It looks good so -5 would be too picky.

Within two weeks of buying our new home, the brand new Samsung Dishwasher (Model DW80J3020US) malfunctioned when we were not at home, spilling gallons and gallons of water onto the floor. This resulted in our hardwood floors buckling and our master bedroom carpet needing to be removed and our entire house needing to be dried out. Samsung customer service took no responsibility for any of this ---- all they would tell us is the dishwasher was out of warranty. This is the one of the most horrific experiences we have ever had with a product ---- this company should be out of business and their customer service sucks worse than their appliances. I wouldnt even rate them with one star. NO ONE SHOULD BUY ANY SAMSUNG KITCHEN APPLIANCE.

DONT BUY SAMSUNG JUNK... They dont care... REALLY! They dont. Youve been warned!

We bought a three piece kitchen set a year ago. First of all, all three items have issues. This dishwasher is the worst. Error message after error message. Constantly. Now it doesn’t work at all. The water wall is off track. No repairman in our area will touch it. They say parts are ridiculously hard to find and expensive. Our oven is sitting in the dining room, broken as well, unable to use. If I could leave zero stars I would.

I have been sitting here on hold for about 40 minutes waiting to speak to a manager to find where my refrigerator is. Samsung has delivered two - and both were damaged. They tried to delivered a third which was supposed to be here two days ago. At this point, no one at Samsung knows where that delivery is; when it will be here; or even acts like they know whats going on. This has been going on for three weeks and I still do not have a fridge. This customer service is the worst - second only to Vivint Security. I am going to get my money back and I will never buy another Samsung product again for the rest of my life.

4 years ago we purchased a Samsung refrigerator with double doors and the freezer in the bottom. After 1 year we started to get frost on the back inside of fridge and also water would fill the bottom of my vegetable drawers. I put up with this until January 2020 when my husband googled the issues and realized the drain tube in the back of fridge was a faulty issue with this product. We thawed out the fridge for 2 days and installed the new drain tube thinking we had the issue resolved. March 5, 2020 I opened the fridge door only to discover the temperature in the fridge was 50 degrees so I pushed the power cool button. The fridge cooled off to 38 degrees again and I thought we were good. This went on for 3 days and we finally had enough. I have purchased a new GE refrigerator and will never purchase another Samsung product.

I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator Model # RFG293HARS after my home was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. After 4 months, I noticed 2 small rows of rust on the freezer door. The rows run vertically and are parallel to each other. They seemed to have been caused when the steel was being rolled or somewhere in the manufacturing process. The spots have started to show signs of rust also. When I contacted Samsung (it took many attempts to get a ticket #), I was told it is a cosmetic problem and not covered. I explained that it was something in the manufacturing process and they could care less. They offered to send a tech out and charge me for the tech. I refused. I am next contacted NYC Dept of Consumer Affairs.

Purchased a Samsung over the stove microwave in July 2011. Did not get the extended warranty. After about 8 months the door was broken. We called and Samsung had it fixed with no charge to us as it was under warranty. Two weeks ago, the microwave beeped and showed an SE code. Nothing works. It is completely dead. I have spent MANY hours trying to get this problem resolved. I have searched online and it seems as many others have had this same problem. I finally was able to contact someone at Samsung who told me they knew about the problem and they were fixing them even though they were out of warranty. I was given a reference number and told to call another number. When I called that number, I was told it would not be fixed for free as it was not my model number that they were having the problem with. After thinking about it for a few days and reading more online, I found that there are lots of people with this problem and it involves several different model numbers, including mine. I called Samsung again and was on the phone over an hour trying to get them to fix this for me. They kept telling me since I didnt buy the extended warranty they would not help me. Now I understand about the warranty. I never buy the extended warranty because I expect a product to be made well and last a reasonable amount of time. I understand that sometimes things happen, but I feel that when it is a problem so many people are having and there are different model numbers involved they should have a recall on them and fix them!! The outcome of my last call with Samsung is they would pay for the part which is $35.00 and we pay the service call, $85.00 or more. Sorry this is still not acceptable to me. If you make an over the stove microwave then I guess it should be made to USE over the stove without breaking within 2 years. We paid $399.00 for this microwave which isnt cheap and should last longer! PLEASE let me know if you can help or where else I can turn. I really dont have the money to replace this microwave and dont feel I am being unreasonable thinking they should make good on their product. Thank you in advance for your help.

Im a 67 year old female who obviously cant remove the oven nor do I know how. The technician left without repairing the microwave. After another long tedious phone call with Samsung they had a different service call me to schedule appointment. The technician was suppose to be here between 1-5. Ice dispenser in Samsung refrigerator is a problem. In dispensing Ice it gets stuck at outside outlet or at inside outlet at ice bucket or it drops crushed ice instead of the cube ice. Now when you try to clear it suddenly it drops all ice on floor and creates a mess and needs to be cleaned up. I looked in the booklet under description and under problem solution. No luck. Also it makes a dinging loud noise like someone is banging on a door or working in other area. Annoying at night time.

I purchased a French door refrigerator from Lowes about 15 months ago and I purchased a 5 year extended warranty in case something went wrong with the appliance. After about 14 months the refrigerator went bad and started popping the CGFI plug in the house. After contacting Lowes to request help in support of this issue and try to use the extended warranty I was told that the warranty company refused to help saying that it was our fault the refrigerator was not working. I contacted Samsung to ask for help, they said they can send someone to diagnose the issue but it would cost me additional $165.00 for labor.I agreed to this but the person who was supposed to perform the diagnoses was not even qualified to work on refrigerator and Im sure he was not certified by Samsung to work on their appliances. He blamed us like the Lowes supposed qualified technician that it was our fault that the refrigerator was not working. I have contact both Samsung and Lowes many time without any progress. I have decided not to ever buy anything from Samsung or Lowes. I hope you can learn from my mistake in dealing with well known companies. I can provide receipts if I feel this is going somewhere. I have spent too many hours waiting for people to show and diagnose and on hold, making phone call and talking with managers.

I purchased the fridge (RF32FMQDBSR/AA) 3 years ago through South East Stee
I purchased the fridge (RF32FMQDBSR/AA) 3 years ago through South East Steel (SES). Immediately it was evident the ice maker was defective. Problems included no full size ice cubes, leaking constantly and requiring manual defrost and reset whenever door was left open more than a few seconds, for example if loading a large grocery order. It took quite a while for SES to respond to my concern. The repairman Samsung sent, while under warranty, pierced the mechanism with an ice pick, left in anger, and it took months to receive a replacement part and installation. Problem unsolved. I then went back through SES who took so long to get a repair request to Samsung, the warranty expired. Samsung did make the concession of sending out a repairman who said this model was known for its leaky ice maker, there was nothing he could do and to call the company periodically as it should soon be covered by a recall. I called every 4-6 months for over a year and a half to be told each time Samsung was aware of the problem and there was no remedy. Finally, the ice maker stopped working all together. I then called Sears Repair. The workman told me that this model was being replaced for any Sears customer with a long-term contract because Samsung was so unresponsive regarding the ice maker defects. He told me class action suits were pending. He did order a new motor. The second Sears technician who showed up to replace the $392 part told me it was a upgraded part for the ice maker. All problems resolved! So if Samsung knew about the problem and upgraded its ice maker motor, why wasnt it covered as part of a recall. And why, in all the calls and queries I made was I not told that upgraded replacement parts were available. And finally since this part solved the problem reported while under warranty, why isnt at least the cost of the part covered? Total repair was $600. I am asking for cost of the part. So far it has fallen on deaf ears at 1-800 SAMSUNG I am awaiting a supervisors supervisor call back. Wish me luck. Otherwise the fridge seems well designed and working well.

About 5 years ago I purchased a Samsung RF217ACRS wide french door refrigerator. This unit has been nothing but trouble since about 1 day after the warranty ended. In the past 2.5 years I have spent about as much money on repairs as on the original purchase. The control panel continues to freeze up, ice blocks the drain, the panel has been replaced twice, several other parts have been replaced yet nothing appears to solve the problem of water all over the bottom of the unit. The vegetable bins always have water in the bottom. Each repair person that has been to the house has reiterated that they intensely dislike working on Samsung however their appliances keep them in business. Houseful of Samsung Appliances and now I am stuck. Microwave takes forever to boil a cup of water for tea. Cheap handle broke off after 2 years. Dishwasher doesnt clean dishes, you must basically wash by hand before you put them in. French door refrigerator crapped under 3 yrs. Paid over $900 to fix. Icemaker was part of that fix, now a little over a year it stopped working again. Stove knobs all broke off gas stove... under 3 yrs old. Also dont bother using the cleaning mode on your gas stove. Its known to get so hot it fries the circuit board. Costly repair I had on that one.Washer tears clothes and cant use bleach anymore because it goes through the compartment prematurely and blotches my load. TVs lasted no more than 3 years and my phone sucks. I have wasted so much money let alone time waiting for service people to show... or not to show. Customer service... a total joke. Never willing to resolve issues. I have over $8000 in home appliances and electronics that, unfortunately dont know when they will see their day. But when its time, Samsung will never again be my choice. Cant afford to buy junk anymore. But they dont care. They got my money. Dont let them get yours!

Heard grinding noise after 20 months of owning DMT800. I quickly opened the dishwasher door and got my phone and video recorded the sound when I restarted the dishwasher for the repairman. ALWAYS rinsed dishes before putting in dishwasher so I knew that it was not from food but sounded like plastic grinding. Thankfully I purchased 4 year contract with Lowes because Samsung warranty ran out as of 3/04/2013. Repairman said pump. Pump has plastic fins also so they break easy also. So the pump is being replaced. In my quest to find out why the grinding noise I noticed the plastic clips missing from the adjustable top rack holder (basket adjuster assembly). I went on the internet to find this issue was a VERY common issue. I figure that was the noise. Pump has come waiting for service. Pump is $217.00. Basket Adjuster Assembly Left & right Set $35.00 not sure if it will be covered by Lowes will find out. However, if not I will purchase and replace myself & also use wire ties that are industrial strength and can withstand heat to help support. Thinking of using an epoxy for hot water also to support. I do not want the pump to take a beating again because of Samsungs poor design. I did call Samsung and they claim that they have never had an issue or call (LOL), it was on me because I was out of warranty. Too bad for Samsung because I am in need of a refrigerator and front load washer and am very leery of their appliances with the attitude that I got. They would not even comp me the newly designed brackets or give me the parts number for the top shelf even though it was their poor design. If anyone is looking to start a Class Action Lawsuit on this product I am in. I just may contact an attorney myself and see if he would like to take them on. Too many customers with issues not to start one. Will also make sure I warn everyone of my friends on Facebook and ask them to pass it on and we all know how those numbers can go. Bottom line? Dont mess with a woman and her appliances, it will be trouble? Consequences? We will see what Lowes has to say and see if they may have some pull with Samsung as a dealer to get results. Got to follow every path I can to get results. Samsung may not like it but they just may meet a woman/mom with teeth that bite. :)

I thought the oven/range would be really good because Samsung is well known brand- for keyboards. Oven light stopped working in less than a month, followed by the convection fan. Most recently I discovered the “Samsung” etched on the stove was actually stickers that wiped off one by one as I cleaned. Oh and the indicator light that lets you know the stovetop is hot, sunk into the panel and I can’t retrieve it. The oven cooks unevenly, but the range cooks well. The fridge is unreliable. You could get sick using it. Can’t maintain temperature. Problem starts with ice maker and then completely malfunctions. Mine grew mold due to temperature issue. Company doesn’t stand behind product and outsources customer service to frustrate a customer so long they give up trying to get fixed or get back money. Awful product.

Bad quality and poor service. We bought the French door refrigerator about 2 years ago for more than $3000. Now the upper section is overcooling and Samsungs authorized technician came charged $220 and did not fix the problem. It lasted 32 days just more than 2 days over the warranty period. Now they say you have to pay again the same cost again.

I would not recommend this refrigerator. The water dispenser leaked from day 1. I am constantly wiping the dispenser, refrigerator, and the floor. The water has stained the refrigerator. I am always stepping in a puddle. Now it is making a very loud noise and I think it has something to do with the ice maker. The long drawer in the refrigerator keeps coming off track. It is difficult to get back on track. Very annoying. The refrigerator is nice looking but definitely not worth the hassle.

I purchased a Samsung washing machine and dryer and upon receipt of the appliances the washing machine would not power on so I had to have a service tech come out. Mind you this is brand new. Never ever operated so they had to repair the computer on the washing machine. I asked for a refund immediately or an exchange and they would not honor it so I was stuck with the product. Subsequently maybe a month or so later I had to have a repair on the washing machine drum. The plastic trim on the top that holds it in somehow became chewed up and in disrepair. They came out and repair that. Not much longer afterwards I had the same problem. They came out again and repair that. Weve had a little luck for a year or so but now were faced with the same exact problem again and theyre saying that were out of warranty. Mind you, this is the same exact reoccurring problem. Hopefully they will finally stand by their product and either replace it or give us a refund. My fingers are crossed but at this point I definitely dont recommend any Samsung products and Im sure that Ill never purchase any more myself.

We purchased a complete package of Samsung appliance for our new home on October 2013 and they got installed by end of November 2013. Thinking that Samsung had a good reputation for other electronics the decision was made without hesitation. Well that was a mistake. First the refrigerator ice maker started to make continuous noises, and the middle drawer got stuck every time you try to closed. Both issues where fixed under warranty. Then, surprise it was the dishwasher turn to break. It started to not dry and show an error s5, which meant that was not draining properly. I called Samsung and they say that it was out of warranty. I was a month too late meaning it only lasted 13 months. An appliance that gets used maybe 3 times a week and cost over 550.00 plus tax, however they did offer a extended warranty for an additional cost, Of course. My thoughts about this, I will not pay extended warranty. I will not repair the Samsung dishwasher, since I know it will break again and I will not buy a Samsung product again. Maybe we need to start buying American again (At Least The Name). Lets make sure that the word gets around that Samsung is not what they seem to be. They know that the dishwasher they make have a lots of problems and complaints and they do nothing.

I would say Samsung makes a high quality refrigerator that I can trust this brand. I never have any problem with Samsungs refrigerator, temperature, frozen foods, ice-cream, vegetables, beverages. Im able to store them in the fridge without any worries. After being used for like a little over a year, the fridge still works like the first day that I purchased it. Performance and quality both still work perfectly.

Just bought my 8k q900 TS qled tv. I was a bit afraid as the 8k models are very expansive but this t.v is very perfect. Bright colours, very thhin tv for the qled technologies. Edgeless. Gaming mode is really the favourite for me because I wanted the g9 odyssey but samsung tooked from the market and I wanted a new good quality screen perfect black colours and gaming mode for the 122hz. With this tv I am enjoying really good my games and my wife watch her preferred movie at any time trying to see any error on the image quality as fab of the OLED TV's but finally said "this TV is so perfect she even used without glass and said was clear. So far Samsung is the best tv producer for the 2020 and now I dont need to find my Samsung I just need to touch the tv and its done. I purchased the Samsung RF217ACBP refrigerator two years ago from Sears. Slowly over time the ice maker is making less and less ice (a few ice wedges per day). Over the last two months, we have been getting water collecting in the bottom of the crisper drawers every day. Changed humidity settings on the crisper drawers and varied the temp setting of the refrigerator to no avail. Refrigerator is out of warranty so Im not willing to spend large sums of money to have service repair of the unit. From what I am reading, this may not even result in a permanent fix of the problems. Will empty the unit tomorrow and try the troubleshooting ideas I found online. I wouldnt recommend this refrigerator to anyone.

We purchased a Samsung RF197ACBP French Door Refrigerator from Best Buy in August 2013 after considerable research. We bought it because it was one of the rare 19 models that would fit into our cabinet-depth space, and because of what seemed like a good general reputation. Wish wed checked here! The door handles of this black refrigerator have had paint scratching off since the beginning. Best Buy replaced them the first week, but theyve continued to scratch and ding. A week ago, we couldnt open the left vegetable drawer. Discovered it had become stuck in place by a half-inch of solid, clear ice underneath. After eliminating all other possible sources of leakage (and note, we did not install the ice maker, so theres no water being piped to the refrigerator), we discovered a vent hole on the back panel that appears to be dripping small amounts of water. Now weve read how common a problem this is, and of course our fridge is out of warranty, and we are left to deal with it. This is corporate fraud of the most disgusting kind. To think that this expensive, ill-designed piece of junk replaced a 40-year-old Amana that never once failed us makes me despair of American and global business. Well try the self-help options - and maybe a local repair call - but I wont pay a dime for Samsung or Best Buy service.

Worked for a week or less and lost again about 80 dollars worth of groceries. Called them again. They said I have to pay about 120 for a tech to stop by. I cant believe this. I was a Samsung buyer. I bought this fridge as part of a whole kitchen package when I remodeled 2 years ago. Im not sure it ever cooled as cold as previous fridges, but this one is different. The controls are different, very different. Gone is the dial that goes from off to high cool. A panel of buttons and lights, hold this button down for three seconds for this, 5 seconds for that, hold down both at the same time for 5 seconds for that, this is on when that light is off. If it stops cooling it might have gone back to show room mode etc.The fridge might run fine but I am unable to find the right variation of buttons and lights to push for how long at the right time. The manual and online is no help at all. There doesnt seem to be a Samsung rep to call, Ive decided to have it hauled off and buy something with an on and off switch. The fins might be clogged up but they are inaccessible for home owners. Repair people want $200 just to show up and that does not apply to repair. Extra to diagnose. It would be very easy to pay more for repair than I paid for the fridge. They seem to deny there is a warranty or it would apply to my issue.

However, Samsung has discontinued this part and they do not offer information where we can purchase a generic part. Why would Samsung discontinue a part on a product that is less than four years old? We purchased our first French door Samsung refrigerator in 2011 not only because Samsung was a household name and I figured would make appliances that would outlast their warranty period but I also purchased the Samsung because aesthetically they stood out in comparison to other brands. Well I was completely WRONG about the quality and durability of Samsung appliances. Our first refrigerator was still under warranty and had to be replaced in 2015 because they no longer made the parts needed to repair the 4 year old refrigerator. This four year old refrigerator would make a loud humming noise as a result of a faulty fan motor. We made a second poor decision to purchase another Samsung refrigerator thinking they would have improved upon the issues they had with their appliances, but again we were WRONG. The issues were worse, see list of faults below that started in 2016 one year after purchase:1. Massive water leak behind the water dispenser that requires placing a large towel to catch the water to prevent potential slips and/or falls from the water from pooling on the floor. 2. The ice maker only makes a cup full of ice per day even when pressing the Power freeze button. 3. The refrigerator intermittently makes a loud humming noise.See list of actions taken to address the issues our 1 year old refrigerator is having: 1. Defrosted the ice maker by keeping doors open and using a hair dryer in order to speed up the process. 2. Sealed the crack between housing of the ice maker and the refrigerator with waterproof silicone. 3. Purchase 2- 10 lb bags of ice from Buckeyes twice a week. 4. Keep refrigerator door open for extended periods of time in order to stop the humming noise (yes we had food in it at the time) and speed up the defrost process. Even after initiating our own interventions, we continue to have problems with our Samsung refrigerator making a loud intermittent humming noise, making ice, leaking large amounts of water behind the water dispenser. The reason Im taking the time out of my busy day to share with you these issues is because Im disappointed in this product and to prevent you from making the poor decision of purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. Its not worth the money. There is absolutely no reason why anyone should spend thousands of dollars on anything that is proven not to last over 5 years. When I was growing up, my mother kept the same refrigerator from the time I was 10 years old until I graduated college. Of course repairs were required but as stated earlier, this is my second Samsung refrigerator in the span of 4 years.Yes we have a warranty but this refrigerator began to have problems a year after purchase, my expectations of Samsung setting a higher standard when it comes to quality appliances has not been met. We have had to spend time troubleshooting issues on a refrigerator that cant go the 5 year distance and take time from work to have it repaired. BUY SMART BY NOT BUYING A SAMSUNG FRENCH DOOR STAINLESS STEEL REFRIGERATOR.

We purchased a set of Samsung appliance four years ago. After two years our ice maker was out of order. Beside that several interior components of our fridge are cracked, chipped and glued and zip tied due to how FRAGILE it is. After that the mother board of our range was out of order too. Called for service and $200 later was up and running. But not too long after the largest electric burner stopped working. As of today our dishwasher is COMPLETELY broken. To anyone reading this, please dont assume our family was rough with our appliance leading to this kind of issues. We always took good care of them and not only that but my wife and I both work in the food industry and know how to handle kitchen appliance commercial/residential. Weve warning anyone we know to not commit the same mistake we committed. Hope you would do the same. Good luck with your choice.

We purchased the Samsung RF28HDEDBSR/AA. One of the reasons we purchased this refrigerator is because of the great rating on Consumer Guide. The ice maker has a problem with water leaking into the maker and then freezing so it completely stops the making process, I had to pull out the maker & chip away at the frozen ice (think before self defrosting freezers), not a fun time. The ice maker when working dispensed the ice horribly. I had a tech here & he said they see this problem all the time and would never recommend a Samsung fridge because of the huge design flaw in the ice maker, there is no way to repair/fix the problem. He recommended LG or GE, We purchased an LG, and no problems, I have the Samsung in the garage as a 2nd fridge (no water to it). I have a friend I visited a month ago, she has the same problem! Now she is having frost in her bottom freezer, the tech told her to use a hair dryer. What a joke this refrigerator is, for the money it should work!!

I am so utterly disappointed and frustrated with Samsung. We have a few Samsung items in my home. TV, Washer and Dryer and French Door Refrigerator with freezer on the bottom. We have hard water in my home and wonder if this could be the issue. Almost one year from our delivery of our brand new refrigerator from HOME DEPOT, the ice maker stopped making ice. When we investigated further, we noticed that ice wasnt dropping and there was frost and freeze everywhere. We began the regular ritual of using my hairdryer to defrost the ice maker. I called Samsung. Our unit was out of warranty for 3 days. They would not make accommodations and would not bend, even a bit. Nope. Nothing. I was livid. CUSTOMER SERVICE is not alive and well in SAMSUNG. They flip the consumer off with a hand gesture and send you on your way, after all, they already have my money. NO SAMSUNG IN MY HOUSE, ever again. I will pay more for something else. Im so happy to see the debacle unfolding with their line of tablets, phones, etc... Sorry for the consumer, dont get me wrong. I hate that company.

I got the SE code on the Samsung microwave and after reading the complaints here, I called Sears where we got it and had a tech come out. We were able to keep using it until then by holding the stop/clear and start/enter button. Then I got to the point where Id take off the panel and move the wires and it would work again. Also, using the timer/clock seemed to be the issue. Anyhow, Sears came out for $75 to tell me what I already knew (needed new key pad/control box) and it would be a total of $200 for them to repair it (its only a $200 microwave). But he did tell me how to replace it. I tried to get the part from Samsung and they wouldnt as it was just out of warranty (so dont waste your time trying). JJ Parts in NJ is the part dealer for Samsung. I called and got the part with shipping for $70. Installation was super easy: two screws on the top of the unit on the vent grill and then slide it out. Then there is one screw at the top of the control panel. Open the door and lift the control panel up and it comes right off. Then there are a few ribbon cables to take off and it is clearly marked when you need to install them on the new keypad. Someone noted never work on a microwave due to it holding onto a charge - yes, that is true, but youd have to go way into the machine. Unplug the unit obviously before doing this repair, but I cant see how youd possibly run into any issues with this super easy repair.

We have had our dishwasher 13 months, 1 month too long apparently. It was working perfectly, used approximately every other day. Then one day, it started to malfunction, stopping 10-15 minutes after we start a load, with an error message SE. Look up that code to find that its a draining problem. Ok, no problem. Disconnect the hoses, clean out the water, see that the hose is draining well, and reconnect. Load runs perfectly. Next load, the message happens again. This time, I remove the entire hose, clean it out. Reattach, runs perfectly. Happens again after the next load.Called Samsung, they stated sorry, your warranty is expired. Well, of course it is. Why would you warranty your product for more than 12 months? Ok, so thats fair. I ask for suggestions. Instead, the person I get at the 1-800-Samsung can hardly speak English, is talking SO quietly I can hardly hear her over the noise of the call center, and is basically just repeating what I am telling her. ZERO help at all. Tells me to just turn the power on and off then offers me some numbers for people to call to get authorized service. Tonight, after the 4th time of the SAME error message happening, we drain it, leave it unattached to the drain and have it drain into a bucket. Its draining fine, wonderfully in fact, but again, while watching it drain, we get the SE message, the same message that states we have an error with our drainage system. So, its one of two problems, a motor or an electrical. Either one is UNACCEPTABLE for a 13 month old dishwasher. Every single one of my appliances is a Samsung product, and because of this incident, I have absolutely zero faith in the other products. The thing that is now really bothering me is all the negative reviews of this product. How is it possible that this product is considered a high end product when I cannot find a single review to substantiate that? We spent almost $800 on this thing. Thats ridiculous, and to only get 13 months out of it. To get it repaired is going to cost us $200 for the service call and whatever the cost of the part that we need. I think we should just replace it but again, that makes me so mad because we shouldnt have to be replacing ANYTHING at 13 months. Im so upset Im crying. Shame on Samsung. Shame on you.

We acquired our refrigerator Model #RF4287HARS in late 2010. The representatives sold my wife and I on durability and long lasting performance. Since the purchase we have had less than adequate technicians out to work on the refrigerator. The freezer just stopped working, the ice maker stayed messed up and very aggravating to press buttons to change ice cube size. It just quit working. The freezer was never repaired after parts were ordered and placed on. Over $600.00 in costs to us. The refrigerator has been a total piece of junk at a purchase price of $2310.00. We bought parts and paid repairs, and the technicians did not get the right parts, then when correct parts came in they said it would be useless to put on because the freezer was not worth repairs. We were reimbursed $195.82! Ha.After all the stress and aggravation, needless to say the ruined food we stored in freezer - a great loss. We were so sickened by the fact that we thought we made the best choice in buying a Samsung appliance, but this has proven to be a very expensive and stressful experience. And we bought a dishwasher at the same time, but replaced it in 2 years for $650.00. It did not clean and didnt last. Just thought we made a mistake and bought a cheap one. The one we bought in late 2012 is working like a charm, but it is not a Samsung product.

Do not ever buy a Samsung appliance. Their customer service is terrible and their dishwasher works about 50% of the time. We are a household of 4 who use the dishwasher (model # DW80F600UTS/AA) once a day and load it sparingly, correctly, and with little soap. We have had a service person here 4 times since we bought it 7 months ago with an added extended warranty and they say they cannot correct the problem which is that the soap dispenser fails to open sometimes and other times opens but does not dispense the soap and other times works fine. They put in a new pump but that did not solve it. We have contacted Best Buy where we bought it. They turn us over to the appliance service they contract with. The appliance service says they cant do anything more. They turn us over to Samsung who says run it with no dishes in it and if it fails to open and dispense soap call us. But, we say, the problem exists 50% of the time, not 100%. Since we are still under factory one year warranty before the extended warranty kicks in, Samsung will charge us if they come out and cant locate a problem. We have spent hours and hours and hours on this. Would any of them be content with an appliance that fails to perform half the time?! I would also say that I will not buy anything else from Best Buy because they do not stand behind what they sell as soon as you are out the door, extended warranty or not. $801 spent on something that doesnt work right and they wont fix or replace.

I think the refrigerator was thoughtfully designed to serve almost any need for food storage, easy access and easy cleaning. Stove info. Samsung 30” range. Model #NX58K9500WG/AA. Serial #0DQN7DDH600185N. Purchased from Lowe’s on 11/15/16 for $1424.05. Warranty period through Samsung Protection Plus 11/23/2017 to 11/23/22. I am hoping you can help me resolve a problem with Samsung Corporation. We purchased the above stove from Lowe’s in 2016. My husband and I had been noticing headaches and burning eyes for 2 or 3 days — more pronounced when using the oven. As one of our CO detectors beeped off and on, we called the fire department. They checked out the air quality in the house and found carbon monoxide levels 3 times safe levels in the bedrooms. They checked the gas furnace and gas water heater. Neither one was leaking carbon monoxide. The firemen called Alliant Energy because they said Alliant had equipment that more accurately measures deadly carbon monoxide levels. Alliant determined the leak was coming from the Samsung oven. Per the Alliant technician it was not leaking from the connection — it was from the oven itself. We have the written Caution Notice from Alliant Energy stating the defect is in the oven. We also have the run sheet from the fire department indicating CO three times safe levels. I contacted Samsung twice to get them to send a serviceman. The serviceman checked the oven on 12/18. He had no CO detector and did not turn the oven on. His work order said we had no warranty which is incorrect. It also listed “Operation/Smell/Smoke/Burning Smell.” The service was required because of CO leak reported by the Alliant Energy technician not the stated product symptoms. Samsung did not call me back to follow up concerning the repair. I called them requesting the disposition of this dangerous oven which we cannot safely use. I suggested they send another repairman to measure the CO2. The Samsung Pro said they were not going to waste additional time on this repair. A very poor customer service response especially considering the extent the default. I contacted Samsung again on 12/24 restating my complaint, concerns, feeling Samsung is responsible for resolving this dangerous appliance. I was told the situation is in fact very serious and dangerous and Samsung is very concerned about me safety — a script they all repeat. They said someone would contact us in 24 hours. As no one contacted me by 12/29, I contacted Samsung again. Same story, “this is a very serious situation.” The Samsung Pro said he would make a new ticket ASAP, correct the error in the stated repair needed and add the need for a CO measurement tool to confirm the Alliant Energy technician’s report. I offered to send them a copy of the Alliant Energy findings to save them the time and effort they were unwilling to expend in earlier communications. I have contacted Samsung 12/12, 12/17, 12/18, 12/24, 12/29, 1/4, and 1/6. Every time I have contacted Samsung the last line of their communication is “do not use the oven.” It confuses me that Samsung contends the range does not need repair but always note DO NOT TURN THE OVEN ON.We have not been able to use our oven safely (and have been advised by Samsung NOT to turn it on) since 12/11. We have contacted Samsung 8 times — all on my initiation, not their followup. I understand these ranges go down a manufacturing line and errors can happen. What I do NOT understand is why Samsung cares so little about their customer service when their product is clearly and dangerously defective. This defect is not a leaky ice maker — it a poisonous gas-producing range. It is appalling that Samsung is so unwilling to correct an error they created which could cause death to the consumer whose only mistake was purchasing a Samsung product. My latest 2-hour phone conversation today with 3 transfers that resulted in disconnects. The result of the last conversation was in order to resolve these defective stove situation we need a second opinion. Samsung has only one service center and their serviceman checked on our stove with a ticket that had the incorrect problem listed. There is no other Samsung serviceman in this area other than UTech. A second opinion from the the same service company that gave you the first one is like getting a second opinion from your doctor’s partner. Now we cannot move forward because Samsung doesn’t have another service center — how is that our fault. I have a written copy of the service ticket from Alliant Energy to verify their finding. It is difficult for me to understand why we are the people without an oven for almost a month, the people making repeated calls and being on hold for 30-45 minutes, and having to worry about having to settle for a stove in our house that has been repaired by the same company who built the defective one. How reassuring is any of that? Why doesn’t Samsung want to do the right thing? None of this is our fault but we are the frustrated consumer who Samsung does care about. Again, this is not a leaky ice maker — it is a carbon monoxide-producing range. We have no reason to make this up this mess as this is only causing us fear and frustration and Samsung Corporation is not helping at all.

I am writing this just so other consumers can make an informed decision. I bought this french door refrigerator at a cost of over 1500 dollars Cdn (28.5 inch) expecting a fridge for at least five to ten years... Within a year the bottom shelf cracked and crispers couldnt be used. Within the next year two of the shelves in door cracked and are useless. Replacement costs are prohibitive. The plastic fittings are literally falling apart and not warrantied. I have an expensive fridge that requires duct tape to keep shelving together. Did I get a lemon? Dont know but at two years old, the fridge looks like a write-off.

I purchased French door fridge (Model RFG298AARS) in May 2010. To be safe, also bought the extended warranty. First problem occurred within 6 months - some sort of electronic (control board) problem. Still under warranty, so no cost issue. The part was replaced at no charge. Serviceman suggested a surge suppressor to help prevent damage to electronic components. Got one and have had no similar problems since. After about a year, ice started forming under the pull-out meat tray, freezing it in place and making it difficult to open. The service tech said it was a manufacturing defect and ground off part of the drip pan. Seems to have corrected the problem. Without the extended warranty, I would be facing a large repair bill. I have also had problems with my Samsung dishwasher and electric stove. l am very disappointed with Samsung kitchen appliances and will not purchase in the future.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2010. I had an extended warranty on the fridge. During the 5 years of the warranty I had to have it repaired 6 times for the same problem which is the back keeps freezing up and will not defrost. For the last 2 years I bought another warranty from Sears. They came out every 4 months to defrost and replace the fan and the defrost sensor. I called Samsung and they refuse to give me my money back for the unit. The customer service is horrible. So if you have any sense DONT BUY. I paid $1,995 for this model. Now they are stating they will only give me $427.00 because it has depreciated in the seven years of owning it.

I am an Appliance Specialist for a large national appliance store and I always tell my customers the truth. I am a believer of Samsung refrigerators, ranges, otr microwaves and washer and dryers but I always warn my customers about Samsung dishwasher service issues. Im pretty sure that the salesperson that sold most of you a Samsung dishwasher mentioned that they were crap. With so many choices for dishwashers, you should have looked at Bosch first, Kitchen aid secondly then, LG, Whirlpool, GE and Frigidaire in that order. Leaving Samsung at the bottom. So anyone reading this post, please listen to your Appliance Specialist and avoid the frustration of repairing a Samsung dishwasher and please have confidence in the other Samsung appliances that are available.

We struggled with a Samsung RF263 for 3 years. Finally it shut off with NO WARNING; was 50 degrees when I realized it. THIS is a major food safety issue, especially with elders who may not pay attention and have repeated bouts of diarrhea because of spoiled food! I reported this as a safety issue to CPSC. Within 48 hours I was contacted by Samsung to schedule a COURTESY tech visit - this after they repeatedly claimed the behavior was normal. He moved the sensor! Two years later I can say I am very happy with the damned thing. Had two Samsung Microwaves let the smoke out with a year of purchase. Lowes replaced first, I threw out the second. Turns out the power transformer uses copper clad wire rather then solid. Bought a GE and NO issues. Then there was the LED TV fiasco. Kept turning off after three years. Almost threw it out until I discovered the class action settlement where they had to to come to the home, replace the 15 cent electrolytic capacitors in the power supply with 50 cent capacitors. Turns out there was actually a business where savvy people bought up broken tvs and replaced the caps. Took the tech all of 15 minutes to do in my home. Samsung close engineers their products. I will NEVER buy another Samsung even though I expect this refrigerator to work for another 15 years. Want to get it fixed? File a food safety complaint with CPSC!!!

We purchased a suite of samsung appliances to upgrade our kitchen. We have had problems with literally every piece. Never again. We have the DMT800RHS. This dishwasher has never dried acceptably since day one. It usually leaves food particles. We have learned to inspect dishes as we remove them. We have a perpetual drying mat on the counter. We leave the door slightly ajar when not in use to keep the unit dry. It seems to cut down on the odors. We run a vinegar clean cycle every other month to keep the drains clean. This seems to have solved the intermittent drain code problem. We wipe the seal with a rag every week to prevent sludge build up and seal leaks. My 20 year old car requires less maintenance. After reading many of these reviews I almost feel fortunate. We now have the rack handles dissolving. It seems like the detergent (or possible the vinegar cleaning required for the odor problem) has broken down the rubber to the point it is flaking off and sticking to the dishes. We took a scrapper and removed as much as we could. Hope some of these tips may help some of you get by until you can replace this horrible appliance. Just never again...

I have a Samsung side by side, four drawer refrigerator bought in July 2013 and have had trouble with the ice maker since then. The ice maker freezes up every couple weeks. I use a hair dryer to melt the ice from the mechanism. I have problems with the ice getting clogged up and will not dispense. Another problem is that it does not matter which setting the dispenser is on, crushed or cubed I only get crushed ice. I do love the refrigerator with the fourth drawer temperature adjustment. I keep drinks in the drawer and the grandkids do not have to open the doors. Otherwise the refrigerator is just a refrigerator.

On May 7, 2015 our Samsung refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling, and all our food was spoiled. The unit was under warranty so I contacted Samsung but they refused to honor their warranty. It took twenty days of emailing product support, service request, phone calls and live chats between Samsung and I, for them to finally send someone to look at the unit. It took another seven days for a repair man to show up with a replacement part to fix it. We went almost a month without a fridge. The working fridge only lasted a few days before it failed to cool again and I lost what I had stored in my fridge, again. A technician was able to mend the problem. But just a few days later it gave out again. Every time this unit failed I lost most of the food in the fridge. The Samsung authorized repairman doesnt even want to deal with my fridge and tells us to deal with Samsung. Samsung just sends us around in circles between their support pages. I have most of the emails and phone calls documented and saved.

This is not the strangest thing, however. Ice accumulates in the vegetable bins. This seems impossible since there is no source of water - we have never hooked up a water line to the ice maker. Samsung offered to setup an appointment for a service call but would not tell me what the service call would cost nor would they give me any information as to the probable problem could be.Based on other reviews, this error code of SE is a known problem but Samsung has not been helpful at all in trying to help me resolve the problem. Samsung Refrigerator RF 267 Series. We have been very unhappy with our Samsung Refrigerator. We bought it approx 6 years ago and have numerous expensive repairs. A new refrigerator should not require costly repairs to keep it running. Our last repair replaced the guts of the refrigerator and an ice maker part - approx $600. This is just to keep the thing running! We have had to replace 3 of the plastic side shelves (at a heft cost) because they are so cheap that they just broke apart with regular use. I needed a specific sized refrigerator for the spot in my kitchen and the look of the 4 door Samsung was great, however, the ice maker stopped working. Eventually I couldnt even open the ice maker container. Once that occurred the freezing did as well, so the venting in the back of the refrigerator froze over and made a sound like a percolating coffee pot. Had to get a repairman to come and fix. I googled the issue, which it appears to be an issue with the Samsung design of their ice makers some refrigerators have ice gathering under the drawers, the temp shown on the door is NOT what is actually going on inside the refrigerator. Samsung has their American call center Alorica calling themselves the Office of the President. When you ask them for their manager they will put you on hold then come back on the line attempting to change their voice saying they are the manager. Good stuff, they will do anything not to give you any repairs. Even finding their own documentation stating the ice maker design is the reason for the issues and they will not help. I will never ever buy another Samsung product and I think Consumer Reports leads people astray stating its a great appliance. How long are you testing these products?

I purchased your Samsung refrigerator model no: RSG257AARS/XAA, back in Dec
I purchased your Samsung refrigerator model no: RSG257AARS/XAA, back in Dec. 2013 when I bought my first home. While I am not customarily someone who uses ice in my drinks, there are certain beverages wherein I do use ice, such as with a soda or a cocktail. But for water and or juices, I do not require ice and as I rarely drink a soda or have a cocktail, I cant say the ice maker on my unit has had much use considering I am a one person household. This little to no use of the ice maker is potentially why this problem with the ice maker/dispenser did not appear until July 2014. I first noticed this problem when I discovered a large white shaving of plastic floating in a glass of Coca Cola. It was the size of a coconut shaving and so I removed this remnant and secured it into a plastic zip lock bag. Obviously, I disposed of the drink.I then examined the ice maker machine and mechanism, removed the ice bucket etc. and discovered there were dozens upon dozens of plastic shavings sitting in the cavity of freezer below the ice bucket. Upon further examination I discovered areas on the left and right sides of the plastic housing wherein it was obvious the rotary blades (auger couplers) had literally shredded into the plastic housing and it was quite clear from the magnitude of the scratches, shavings and debris that this was a serious problem.I first received service to repair this problem in July 2014. However, the repair took nearly 4 weeks to conclude, two home visits, shipment of parts, and I had no ice available to me in that time. Moreover, I greatly needed ice to medically treat an injury. Thus, the repair was more than an inconvenience. While the repair included some new parts and a new ice bucket, after the repair, I was hesitant and nervous to use the ice cubes for drinking and would look in each glass of ice. Then just a few days ago (20 Oct 2014), I found a SHARP solid chunk of white plastic floating in my Coca Cola. Again, I removed it and secure it in a zip lock bag for evidence. Upon examination of the unit, I now find that the plastic housing under the ice bucket is again being impacted and hit, only this time the scratches and scrapings are now at the front of the housing rather than on the sides. To make matters worse, on the evening of Oct 21st, I observed small white tiny powder like particles, sitting on the outside stainless steel dispenser tray, which indicates I have been ingesting and drinking micro particles of plastic. I have obtained a small sample of this particle by pressing my finger down onto it and then scraping this fine particle off my finger into a zip lock bag, but it is so small and fine that one could literally not pick it up any other way. It would be like trying to collect a single grain or flake of salt.As of late, I have been enjoying one soda a day, in place of eating a desert, and have been having more iced drinks than usual. Again, this draws me to the conclusion that if only this ice maker and dispenser had had normal American household use, this problem would have most likely occurred immediately. At this stage, my main concern is my HEALTH and how my body has been affected by ingesting micro fine particles of plastic used to make an appliance. To be honest, I am more than upset by the gravity of the situation and I find your customer service to be sub-par. In my opinion, this unit is DEFECTIVE IN DESIGN. Any refrigerator that starts dispensing plastic for a HUMAN TO EAT AND INGEST SHOULD BE DEALT WITH IN AN APPROPRIATE MANNER, and does not even fall within the scope of an ordinary repair.I can no longer trust this appliance to provide me ice! In addition, I will never again use it for drinking ice. NO WAY! NEVER! No matter how you repair it or pretend you did, it is obvious that the METAL BLADES are able to make contact with all edges of the plastic housing and therefore will ALWAYS HAVE THE POTENTIAL to feed me plastic.Next time I see my doctor I will consult with him on this matter. In the meantime, feel free to send me the chemical composition with which this plastic material is made of and I will give that to my doctor. Alternatively, we can send samples to a lab and then I will bill and or sue Samsung. I am outraged at this situation! Period! The fact that you are again going to send me a service repairperson who has NO experience with this SPECIFIC problem is ridiculous. Moreover, two Samsung service repair technicians told me they had never heard of this problem. So all you are doing is putting a Band-Aid on this situation, waiting for the manufacturer warranty to run out so that you will not have to contend with it. So yes, I am outraged. I will never again buy Samsung. In closing, I am attaching photos from last July showing evidence of the plastic shavings and impact to the housing. The current plastic particles are to small to photograph and while this is the same problem, the particles in fact are completely different now in shape and size. In fact the smaller particles and this current situation is way worse because I cannot VISIBLY see the micro-particles in a drink, making this a blatant health hazard. Please review the photos carefully! I would like this case to be escalated and dealt with by your upper management.

On the evening of 1-15-16 we noticed our refrigerated items did not seem cool. Since this was a Friday evening we called first thing on Saturday morning. After waiting an hour on hold and then getting a call center in another country, or at least someone who spoke very broken English, we were given a local repair center to call... of course being the weekend and Monday a Holiday we had to wait until Tuesday. The repair center came out and had to order parts. On 1-27-16 the repair center came out with new boards and a compressor. The poor guy worked on this thing for over 5 hours and was not able to repair it. He was in contact with Samsung on the phone and after the repair guy took pictures and gave Samsung everything they needed he left and said he would follow up in the morning. The repair center did follow up with us and said we had been authorized to receive a new unit since the one we had could not be repaired. We were given an authorization number and told Samsung would call in 12-24 hours to set this up with us. 24 hours later... you guessed it. They never called. I called Samsung since they never called us. Again I am speaking with someone who is not familiar with the English language. They have no clue what we are talking about and transferred me all over the place. The last person I spoke to insisted that I mail in the receipt to them so they could authorize this trade. Are you kidding me!!! I already got an authorization to have this exchanged and am just trying to set up a pick-up delivery time. Well I got an email and have now emailed them my receipt. I was now told it could take up to a week for Samsung to contact me and authorize this. This is my 18th day with NO refrigerator and I will be lucky if they ever call me back to set this up. I guess by then it will be close to a month with no Fridge. DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY... EVER!

I bought a 25 cu ft and 28 cu ft Samsung RF25/28HMEDBSR 4 door refrigerators at the same time. The 28 cu ft died and couldn’t be repaired in 18 months. The 25 cu ft [same model] quit working in 4 years 4 months. The repair lasted just under 10 months. Samsung told me too bad, the warranty is up after having me send them copies of sales slips, etc. and string me along for about 4 weeks saying they were ‘looking into it’. They know they have a defect in this model, agreed they should have lasted 5 years, but, nothing they could do about it. These were the top of the line and I had over $5000 in 2 pieces of scrap and now again have food loss and another repair bill. With $2500, in this one alone [got my money back for the 28 cu ft because of store warranty] I can’t just junk it. Know whatever you read about their 4 French Door models, the chances are it won’t last more than 5 years at best and if you had a store warranty, it would be gone and Samsung will NOT do anything for you. It was rated at the top when I purchased them. A repairman told me this was a frequent problem with Samsung Refrigerators and I certainly wasn’t the only one.

Samsung 4-door fridges ice maker is junk. $2,000 Samsung fridge breaks after 2-1/2 years! I had a Maytag for 22 years and it never was serviced and was still running fine when I retired it for peace of mind. Enter Samsung - so much for peace of mind. Ice maker began leaking before a year was up. Kept removing ice buildup. But at 2-1/2 years, the ice maker quit working. Motor was bad. Water sprayed around tray from supply hose encased in ice. Locked ice tray in place, so couldnt remove. Stopped producing ice. Service rep was good (no complaint), but cost quoted at $300 for service call and new motor. Water supply hose issue cant be resolved. Obviously, lots of ice maker issues posted here. Shame on Samsung. Cant make ice; cant make phones.

Four days of fighting with customer service FINALLY earned me a service call when I was told that the ice maker was not broken, but defective in all refrigerators. I will NEVER buy a Samsung again!

Bought a very expensive Samsung refrigerator, and it broke down at 5 year and 3 months, just outside of the seal warranty. Then they tried to charge me half as much as the original cost of the fridge to fix it - unreal. Worst customer service and worst product ever. Just run from Samsung refrigerators. They are the worst and customer service is even worse than that - Ive heard this from several people, Ill never buy another Samsung product ever again!!!

We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator a year ago. Within that year our ice maker has broken twice. First they sent a repair guy. He fixed it and 6 months later it broke the same way again. We called and Samsung said sorry it’s out of Warranty. It’s a year old and the ice maker is still frozen up and sometimes melts and drips water. It costs a lot out of pocket to get it fixed. On top of that the middle drawer electric cords that operate temp was pinched so that didn’t work. Also I don’t think the fridge runs at the correct temp! We filed a complaint with BBB in the state they are made. We haven’t heard anything back. I will never buy one again! Don’t even want to Win one I would Rather have a Whirlpool or GE!

Purchased my gas range 3 years ago. Paint on bottom of oven has blistered and starting to rust and also spider like cracks. Contacted Samsung and wont do anything saying its physical damage. Yeah like l did it. Haha. Dont purchase these expensive products. They are garbage and dont stand behind defective products. No wonder our landfills are full. Its due to companies like this who make products that dont last. I remember having appliances for over 25 years and only got rid of them because the color went out. And they didnt get dumped because they still worked and were passed onto the needy.

Model rs25h5111ww - We like the refrigerator but the ice/water dispenser could have been better designed by a 5 year old. Other than removing the entire ice box inside the freezer, there is no way to reach in and get a handful of ice. In general this ice/water dispenser really, really sucks.
