Samsung Washer Model WA44A3205AW Error Codes

CODE: LO or FL
PROBLEM: Door lock error
FIX: Check the wiring connections to the door lock/switch, and tighten if needed. Forcing the door open might damage the door lock / switch, which is often made of plastic. However, it is simple to replace and much less expensive than calling a technician.

CODE: ds
PROBLEM: Door is not locked
FIX: If the washer won't start, the ds code might appear, signaling that the washer door is open and the lock is malfunctioning. Use the diagnostic test mode to check the door lock / switch assembly. If that shows the lock is defective, replace it.

CODE: dc
PROBLEM: Unbalanced load
FIX: The dc code means the load has been detected as unbalanced during the final spin. Cancel the cycle, or just let it end. Redistribute the load, and re spin.

CODE: Sud (F70)
PROBLEM: Too many suds
FIX: Allow the suds to settle, and move to the spin cycle. Rewash the clothes using no detergent, and then clean your washer.

CODE: lE
PROBLEM: Water level sensor failure
FIX: First, unplug the washer, and check the wire harness connections between the water level sensor and the main control board. If the IE code still appears after plugging the washer back in, the water level pressure sensor should be replaced.

CODE: nF
PROBLEM: Water fill problem
FIX: Check that the water supply faucets behind the washer are fully open and kink free. The lines can also freeze if the washer is exposed to low temperatures. The code might also appear if the water inlet fill valves are defective and need replacement.

CODE: LE
PROBLEM: Low water level during cycles
FIX: Water level drops can be caused by leaks in the washer tub or an improperly installed drain line, which can siphon water out of the washer. Reinstall the drain line, and try filling again.

CODE: OE
PROBLEM: Overflow or too high water levels
FIX: A washer that is overfilled is usually caused by water inlet valves that are not shutting off the water flow properly. Replace the water inlet valve assembly.

CODE: nF1
PROBLEM: Hot and cold water lines are reversed
FIX: Connect the hot and cold water fill hoses correctly on the back of the washer.

CODE: tE
PROBLEM: Water temperature is either too high or too low
FIX: Run the diagnostic test mode to check the water temperature that the control board is sensing. If the actual temperature is significantly different, the temperature sensor or thermistor should be replaced.

CODE: nd
PROBLEM: Water will not drain
FIX: If the washer fails to drain within fifteen minutes, check the washer drain filter and drain hose for a clog or restriction. If the drain pump is defective or damaged, replace it.

CODE: E2
PROBLEM: Stuck key on control board
FIX: Try to free the key by gentle force. If you can't free the key, replace the user interface control board (also called the sub PCB control board).

CODE: 3E
PROBLEM: No signal from the drive motor tachometer
FIX: Unplug the washer. Check the wire harness connections on the drive motor and the electronic control board. If the wiring connections are sound, the drive motor or the tachometer usually needs to be replaced.

CODE: 2E
PROBLEM: Internal control board failure
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: AE
PROBLEM: Communication error between the main PCB and sub PCB in the control panel
FIX: Check the wire harness connections between the PCB control boards in the control panel. If the wiring connections are sound, replace one or both of the control boards.

CODE: SF
PROBLEM: Main PCB error
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: Hr
PROBLEM: Heater relay failure
FIX: The heater relay is a component on the main PCB control board. Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the main PCB control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the main PCB control board.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator May, 2015. I want to keep others from making the same mistake. I would not buy any Samsung product, ever! This has been a piece of junk from the start and Samsung totally excludes themselves from any contact. The ice maker has not worked correctly from the beginning. They replaced it in the first year and it still hasnt worked properly. I would highly recommend people to buy anything other than Samsung.

We purchased ALL of our appliances in December of 2015 from a local Rosners in West Palm Beach Florida where we bought all Samsung, w/d, dishwasher, stove, refrigerator and microwave. The ice maker never worked properly and from the first year we had problems. We had build up of ice in the freezer if we put too many items in it and had to use a hair dryer on occasion to defrost it so it would work properly. We chose not to purchase the extended warranty but thought we would have little to no issues in the first few years at least. We chose NOT to install a Samsung brand water filter to save money but realized that was not a good idea. Now we are without ice, water and have spent an extra $200+ on repairman who cant figure out the problem. It is my first major purchase of appliances in my 50 years and I now know I should have listened to recommendations that Samsung has too many problems and they are too expensive to maintain and I should have got GE products. Unfortunately, that isnt the case. If you have any suggestions, we appreciate your input.

Bought my Samsung French Door/Bottom Freezer Refrigerators at Sears In 2012
Bought my Samsung French Door/Bottom Freezer Refrigerators at Sears In 2012 and I have had problem after problem. After about 6 months of owning it there was ice buildup. We did buy the extended warranty so that covered the fix but a year after that the same thing happened but this time the fridge was no longer cooling at all and it had ice. Once again they came out and fixed it. I got tired of calling for repairs so I started removing the ice from the back as needed the best I could. Also the ice machine went completely out so I just bought ice trays. About 2 years ago the freezer gave out completely. I called a repair person but it was going to be over $800 to fix. It was blocked with ice on the bottom once the ice was removed. Now it doesn’t cool down at all. This fridge is a $2,000 piece of junk. NEVER AGAIN. I should have went with a cheap basic fridge.

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher at Costco, Model # DW80K2021US. Samsung had its own warranty on it for one year and Costco was kind enough to place a two year warranty on it. I purchased it in June 2017 and it just quit on me October 2019. These should last longer than that but they are absolute junk. The water pump is gone, and it will cost at least $300 to fix - The dishwasher on sale was $499. Costco, please dont carry this junk or anything like it from Samsung. Costco will just get a bad rep from selling these bad products. Stay away from anything labelled Samsung.

I purchased a black stainless steel appliance package and its been a nightm
I purchased a black stainless steel appliance package and its been a nightmare. Initially the stove was scratched during installation, so they sent me a new one. The new one sounded like it was about blow up and clicked and clicked. The lady said it was because its cold in Colorado?! They swapped it out. Then there is the refrigerator. With the first one, the right door wouldnt stay open, so they sent out someone to fix it. After he fixed it, the right door stayed opened, but the left one didnt. They claimed thats how they are supposed to work for efficiency. No, thats simply not true. They sent a new one. This one had a terrible buzzing and humming sound every time it turned on. They sent me another one. This one was even worse, but the good news is that the doors stayed opened. Clearly how they should work. So, I let them know about the loud sound and they sent me another one. Its the worst one of the three. Im at a loss. Does Samsung just make a terrible product? The dishwasher doesnt clean the dishes. I always rinse them and make sure there isnt much of anything on them. And it stinks!! I keep the door open, which is annoying. Very very disappointed in the products. This has been going on since I purchased them less than 6 months ago. I have spent hours upon hours trying to talk to someone, emailing, and waiting for my 8 different appointments. I do not recommend their appliances at all. They look good, but not worth the money.

My husband and I purchased a white Samsung French door refrigerator (RF26XA
My husband and I purchased a white Samsung French door refrigerator (RF26XAEWP) about four years ago. Recently we are noticing that the porcelain beneath the water/ice dispenser has begun to rust. When I contacted Samsung customer service, I was told that the warranty had expired and that this was cosmetic damage and we would be responsible for the repair. I was given the phone number for the Samsung Repair Service for my area and that was it. When I expressed concern that this refrigerator was rusting after such a short period of time and that possibly the porcelain coating was improperly or inadequately applied, I was told there was nothing they could do as the appliance was no longer under warranty. So now I am going to have to pay $502.90 to replace the door. Apparently it is of no concern to them that I have to pay this, given the fact that we feel the problem was inadequate porcelain coverage in the first place. After 47 years of marriage and many refrigerator purchases (various brands), we have never experienced rust on the refrigerator. That being said, we will fix this appliance as we cannot afford to purchase a new refrigerator, but we will never purchase another Samsung appliance again. This refrigerator was purchased at Lowes in Kissimmee.

We purchased the Samsung dishwasher in 2010, within 6 months the clear glass items were coming out etched, dishes were not getting clean, so we used vinegar to help - it worked for awhile. Have had to use the heavy cycle to get dished cleaned the entire time we have owned the machine. Last week it started leaking in at the bottom of the door, but now looking at our hardwood floor it appears to have been happening for awhile without us noticing.About 2 months ago I noticed the digital #s were losing characters, so some of the time was not showing or the numbers were cut off, so when you thought it was a 7, it was showing as a 1. Now today it has a code error 11 flashing and we cannot figure out why. Havent called a repair person as yet, might be worth just replacing than fixing.

I am having the same problem as Kimberly from California reviewed back in September on the water filter replacement cartridge DA29-00003G for the SAMSUNG French Door Refrigerator. No matter how hard I try to twist the filter, it will not seat into the receptacle even though it is the correct filter listed in my owners manual. The previous filter is an off brand made by HDX as a replacement for Samsung and it worked fine. The only difference between the two is the locking mechanism on the neck as Kimberly illustrated in her pics and I have attached my own pic as well. I have used SAMSUNG replacement filters before and this is the first time experiencing this problem. This engineering problem needs to be remedied immediately before someone ends up breaking their refrigerator and paying hundreds of dollars in replacement parts or even having to buy a new refrigerator! In the meantime I will return my filter to the store and spend my money on the other brands filter. This is a very poor oversight on SAMSUNGs part!

We have had our dishwasher 13 months, 1 month too long apparently. It was working perfectly, used approximately every other day. Then one day, it started to malfunction, stopping 10-15 minutes after we start a load, with an error message SE. Look up that code to find that its a draining problem. Ok, no problem. Disconnect the hoses, clean out the water, see that the hose is draining well, and reconnect. Load runs perfectly. Next load, the message happens again. This time, I remove the entire hose, clean it out. Reattach, runs perfectly. Happens again after the next load.Called Samsung, they stated sorry, your warranty is expired. Well, of course it is. Why would you warranty your product for more than 12 months? Ok, so thats fair. I ask for suggestions. Instead, the person I get at the 1-800-Samsung can hardly speak English, is talking SO quietly I can hardly hear her over the noise of the call center, and is basically just repeating what I am telling her. ZERO help at all. Tells me to just turn the power on and off then offers me some numbers for people to call to get authorized service. Tonight, after the 4th time of the SAME error message happening, we drain it, leave it unattached to the drain and have it drain into a bucket. Its draining fine, wonderfully in fact, but again, while watching it drain, we get the SE message, the same message that states we have an error with our drainage system. So, its one of two problems, a motor or an electrical. Either one is UNACCEPTABLE for a 13 month old dishwasher. Every single one of my appliances is a Samsung product, and because of this incident, I have absolutely zero faith in the other products. The thing that is now really bothering me is all the negative reviews of this product. How is it possible that this product is considered a high end product when I cannot find a single review to substantiate that? We spent almost $800 on this thing. Thats ridiculous, and to only get 13 months out of it. To get it repaired is going to cost us $200 for the service call and whatever the cost of the part that we need. I think we should just replace it but again, that makes me so mad because we shouldnt have to be replacing ANYTHING at 13 months. Im so upset Im crying. Shame on Samsung. Shame on you.

We purchased a Samsung (Mod RF267AB) French door refrigerator, and within 18 months, we had issues with water pooling in the pan under the deli pullout drawer. Since we had an extended warranty through Lowes, we had it fixed. Since that time, the same problem has been fixed two more times with no success. (Each visit has been a different repair guy, so no commonality there.) The last time, the technician also adjusted the level and tilted the fridge back saying that may help it drain! Starting yesterday, the upper cooling fan has begun growling. I need to call Lowes service to get them out again, and of course, it’s also not draining again. When we originally researched the unit, we consulted the leading consumer products reporting magazines article on refrigerators at the time where it was a top rated model along with the GE model we looked at, which apparently was the same one manufactured by Samsung for GE. Im very disappointed by this experience and also by the ratings assigned by the consumer magazine.

We bought a Samsung stove - Model #NX58H5600SS and a microwave model #ME18H704SFS in May 2015. The stove overnight started beeping and now showing an error code SE. The Microwave has been making a weird buzzing sound for over a year (seems like something is broken inside). After the stove issue we decided to call Samsung and they basically told us our warranty for the stove is for one year and microwave if it’s magnetic issue then the warranty is for 10 years but you have to pay for labor in order to fix the issue. However, we have no idea what the issue is. I can’t believe that after having these items for less than 3 years we already have issues. I’m very disappointed that we purchased these products and would tell anyone not to buy it since they are crap products! Before remodeling our kitchen we had a stove that lasted years not just for three years. Ridiculous!!!! So now I have to get a service person to come and fix it. Stop selling crap products.

We purchased our Samsung Stainless Steel Over the Range Microwave from Best Buy in March 2010. 17 months later, the microwave has stopped heating completely and is not under warranty. So frustrating. Samsung DMT300RFW/XAA Dishwasher - A little over two years old and I am getting ready to cart this piece of junk out to the street for the trash collector! The unit never performed at the levels promised. Dishes were left dirty and spotted if used in the normal mode. Per Samsung techs, we were told to use the high energy sanitize mode (so much for the low energy use sales pitch)! Last night, the dishwasher started making electrical sparking noises and producing an electrical smell. We contacted a half dozen reputable local repair companies and nobody is authorized to work on Samsung. The closest authorized place is a TV repair company 30 miles away! We have a million people in South Orange County and not one authorized repair company? Were never going to buy another Samsung product!

Had ice maker completely replaced, then 8 months after replacement it stopped working again! This time only the auger motor had to be replaced as no ice would come thru the chute...repairman replaced and till no ice. He had to return this week and had to replace the auger motor again as the one installed last week was broken! This is a total of 4 auger motors on this refrigerator in less than 2 years. For the cost of this appliance we feel this is totally unacceptable. Will never purchase a Samsung refrigerator again!

We purchased our refrig in Sept of 2016 with the extended warranty on the ice maker. The ice maker has now totally frozen up and cannot be used. We do have a tech coming out tomorrow. But after some research I discovered there is a class action lawsuit against Samsung because of the problems I have read from others on this site. According to the lawsuit the problems were discovered in 2015 but Samsung continued to put the inferior ice maker in their refrigerators. Once in a while the food in the freezer has frost on it like the freezer door was not completely shut. My son had the same issue with multiple repair calls and no resolution. Repair went smooth with Lowes involved. Happy with that. Now we are experiencing the smell that so many have commented about. That being said: What is the solution? So many complaints, really concerned about the integrity of this company. Maybe if Lowes or Best Buy, or both, discontinue the retail of their product, they might consider improving their customer service. I just got off the phone with Samsung who claims they support their product because they have a 1 year warranty. Hurray for them, everyone has a 1 yr warranty. The companies that really support their products are the ones that recognize when 2 major components on an expensive refrigerator go out that they should be responsible for fixing it.We had the ice maker and the evaporator fan motor go out on our 2 1/2 yr. old refrigerator. Samsung will do nothing but send a repairman to diagnose it but not pay to fix it. All the customer service people can do is read their policy of You are outside of the 1 year warranty. Their phone message while you wait for an hour keeps saying that they pride themselves if in their customer service. They have TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE because they dont allow their management to look at a case and make a decision based on the situation. All they can do is keep telling you, You are outside of your warranty. I have dealt with much better companies that will truly support their products and fix a major issue even if it outside the warranty because they know their product should be better than that.

I purchased the Samsung dishwasher model DMR78AHS in November of 2010. Within the first couple of months the upper rack vertical adjustment clips broke. On November 2011 the dishwasher started faulting out with the 9E code. A service man was sent out and ended up replacing the sensor level. Within a week the dishwasher started making this loud grinding noise. The noise eventually went away. November 2012 the dishwasher started faulting out with the 9E code again. The sensor level was replaced again. October 28th 2013, dishwasher started 9E faults again. I will either replace the sensor level or buy another dishwasher. I will never buy another Samsung dishwasher.

We purchased a counter depth refrigerator back on 2012. We have had nothing but problems with the ice maker and switch to dispense ice since we had it. Not only did we spend a lot for this refrigerator, we have continued to have to sink money into it to keep it working. Then we bought the $500 over the range microwave. Bad move!!! After having for one year, the number buttons on the front became hard to work. Now we have 2 numbers that wont work at all. But of course they are telling me that they dont cover this under the warranty. What good it the microwave if you cannot program in the time to cook??We also bought the induction range. I hope this holds up. We will never ever buy from Samsung again and will also advise all family and friends of our bad experience. My sister also had same issues with her Samsung refrigerator. Samsung might make good TVs but their kitchen appliances are a piece of junk and they do not care how much you spend on them, they will not cover repairing a function like the number buttons! Unacceptable!!

Bought French Door refrigerator (RF263AEBP) in 2011 from Lowes. Bought the 4 year extended warranty. In September 2013 the fridge coil froze. Tech came out and replaced fan and shroud. Now 2014 it is freezing again. Search reveals it is a common and known problem by Samsung and they have not fixed even after class action in 2010. They have not come out with a permanent fix. They should do a recall. My extended warranty runs out next year a month before this will probably happen again.

I am not sure if I got a lemon or if this is a widespread problem, but we bought the Samsung Fridge (model RF4287HARS/XAA) in November 2011. The middle shelf on the left door, as you face the open fridge, which is adjacent to the ice maker, cracked after a few months. The crack was minor but spread over time. We barely used the shelf and could not figure out how it happened. We ordered a replacement shelf (under warranty) in Sept. 2012. It had been a problem for months, but that is when we got around to it. The problem recurred very soon after getting the replacement shelf.Again, it was small to start, and we did not notice it for a while. As we were busy with kids and the holidays, we did not contact Samsung until 2013. The warranty was up, but Samsung agreed that the shelf should not have formed a crack and sent us a second replacement in early June 2013. We put in the replacement shelf, and this time, we did not even put anything on the shelf, and it cracked again... the third time, within a few days. Each time, the crack has started where the shelf touches the door at the ice maker. At this point, it is clear that the crack is being created by the ice maker. Samsung is sending a third replacement shelf but will not acknowledge that there is actually a problem with the fridge that is causing the shelf to crack. I am not certain if it is a unique defect with our fridge or more widespread. I started typing this as I approached one hour of time on hold for their customer service supervisor. I had asked to escalate things to the Executive Customer Relations team but was told that no one could take the call, or a message due to high demand. I finally abandoned my call after this long hold time.

My 5 year old fridge freezer with a ten year guarantee on the digital compressor recently packed up and they passed me to A Samsung Service Centre namely Elite Digital Appliances, who refused to fix or replace same saying it was the gas cylinder and charged me £235.20 for a 5 minute regassing service. Samsung refuse to accept responsibility after telling me it was covered by the warranty, but later retracted. They have offered £50 as a gesture of goodwill, which I have rejected. Beware of these service centres who are probably in collusion with Samsung to rip customers off. We shall see what the county court says.

We have continual problems with the evaporator coils freezing up. This seems to be caused by a serious design defect(s). The drain for the water defrosted from the evaporator coil during the normal defrost cycle will freeze and stop up, causing melt water to overflow into the crisper bins. The evaporator coil freezes over, causing the fan to stop, leading to temperatures in the cabinet being wrong. The vegetables in the crisper bins freeze, and the upper cabinet is too warm. The internet is full of complaints on this issue, and Samsung is hiding behind its legal limit on the warranty expiration. There is a cheesy metal tab that extends from the defrost element toward the drain hole, but is does not prevent the drain hole from freezing over. I tried modifying it by extending a copper wire as a heat conductor from this tab further into the drain hole... to no avail. This design was obviously not tested enough, with food in it in normal use, to discover the problem. I would forgive a design flaw if Samsung would fix it and make modified parts available to current owners. I will not forgive them for leaving customers with a $2000 lemon and doing nothing for them. I suggest everyone AVOID SAMSUNG PRODUCTS due to their disregard for their customers and lack of action to fix a defective product.

I purchased the stainless steel, refrigerator with french doors, bottom freezer, and ice maker. What a $1300.00 mistake!!! The ice maker has no regulator; so, it only stops making ice cubes when the container is so full that the cubes are spilling behind the freezer. Every time we open the freezer ice cubes slide out from under the door and spill all over kitchen floor. We are constantly wiping up melting cubes and there are always wet areas on the floor. I called Customer Service; I was told it was a design flaw and they are aware of it. Unfortunately, there is nothing they can do about it. Seems like an unacceptable answer doesnt it! I certainly wish I had known about this design flaw before making this purchase. Now I am stuck wiping ice cubes and water up every time I open my freezer. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A SAMSUNG PRODUCT AGAIN.

Same problems as everyone else, freeze ups on evaporator fan and coils, water leaking out of the bottom, spoiled food, loud irregular noises, and the ice maker doesnt function properly. I regret ever purchasing this unit and will NEVER buy or recommend that ANYONE buy their products. Samsung YOU SUCK!!!! This thing is junk and I want my money back so I can buy a reliable brand!!! 2 year old refrigerator started making noise last October. We unplugged it for a couple days and read that the fan motor freezes up. So we thawed the fridge & sound went away and temp seemed fine. Then the last couple months food began expiring before expiration dates. Milk was curdled, dog treats moldy - were the obvious signs. Reading this website I knew that it was frozen motor. So I followed you tube instructions of how to remove back panel and got my hair dryer out and melted the 3 x 4 of ice block that totally encased my fan motor, coils and wiring. My question is, how is Samsung going to remedy this from happening again? How can this be acceptable? We should all be getting free service replacement parts from Samsung! I will never buy a Samsung anything and advise everyone to do the same! !

We purchased our Samsung Range Model NE595R0A in August 2013. Two days ago we were boiling some eggs and were sitting at the kitchen table when we heard a loud sap from the direction of the range. When I went to investigate the cause of the noise we discovered the glass top had cracked from the front corner all the way to the middle of the back edge. I found Samsungs service number and spoke with a service guy who told me that this was not covered. I read the warranty and it stated and I quote Five ( ) years Parts Warranty For Glass Cooktop and Radiant Surface Unit. Unless I am reading incorrectly this should be covered. It seems that this is a manufacturing problem since it happen to multiple ranges. Very disappointed with Samsung.

I wish I had read reviews before purchasing the dishwasher. I had purchased the refrigerator and was somewhat satisfied so I purchased the dishwasher so that the appliances would match. Both are stainless steel (so they say but magnets stick to the front of the dishwasher so you know its not stainless.) The front of the dishwasher has rusted but in addition to that (this was actually the icing on the cake) the dishwasher has not worked more than it has worked. Always stopping, giving blinking lights, had to replace the level sensor twice, clean out the line numerous time and it really doesnt clean well. The refrigerator while not rusting doesnt drain and a thick sheet of ice gets under the drawer. We have to take the drawer out and soak up the water and ice. Nothing but issues. I hate both appliances and will NEVER purchase another Samsung appliance again. I wont even take it for free. Thank you.

I built a new house a little over two years ago. Between the kitchen and laundry appliances, I spent around $6500. Before the one-year warranty was up, the ice maker in the fridge crapped out. I had to get Best Buy to replace the unit as the Samsung repair people didnt want to travel out to where Im located (only about 35 miles). Then after the warranties expired, the washer has an issue - not too bad - a wire fell off the motor. Cost me $159. Now the dishwasher pump burn up - $440 to fix this. Repair guy told me that the pods I have been using, the plastic shell pieces apparently do not melt and pieces collect in a screen that the water goes through that cools the pump. The screen is apparently fine than most units. Sound like a design flaw. After buying all these appliances and having three issues already, one would think the manufacturer would stand behind their products. Nope, no help at all. No more Samsung products for me.

We have also been given the run around from Samsung about what seems to be a faulty product - their waterfall dishwasher. What a horrible company, I cannot believe they can stay in business. Our dishwasher is just two years old and quit working. After talking to several customer service agents on the phone, through email, and online, it is still not fixed. We had a local repairman come to look at it, he said it costs more to fix it than what it is worth at this point. There are only two certified Samsung repair businesses in Indiana. The one in Fort Wayne told us they would not come and look at it due to the constant issues with Samsung. We have another one finally coming Monday - we hope (after 7 days of dealing with them to the point my husband was screaming at the customer service rep that was in India because they were asking completely irrelevant questions). If you are looking for new appliances, please do not purchase this brand. We had issues with our refrigerator also. They are poorly made, and Samsung has to have the worst customer service of any company on earth.

I recently purchased a home and needed a microwave. My parents have a second home and they were kind enough to give me the 2-year-old Samsung microwave from that home. My French door refrigerator started forming ice about 18 months after purchase. Warranty is only a year, which is ridiculous when you pay that much for a appliance. I checked online for anyone else experiencing the problem. Most problems were with water under the crisper drawers which I hadnt experienced. I called Samsung and the first words the service desk said were, We havent experienced that problem before, which I knew was bogus because every person that called them said they said the same thing. Anyway after over 2 years of emptying my freezer and getting the ice out, I finally bit the bullet and called a repairman. I wish Id done it right away.He took the bottom panel off the back, took out the two drain pipes for the automatic defrost, about 7each with a rubber, flat nipple on each one. He shows me the small slit across the end of the nipple that the water drains thru and explains that if that slit gets clogged the water backs up and freezes in the bottom. It also could cause water to be leaked under the drawers in the cooling part of fridge. All he did was cut about -1/8 off of the flat ends and put them back on the pipes and reinstall them. They must just slide on because he didnt have any tools but the screwdriver to remove the panel and a snipper to cut the rubber nipple. You can use scissors for that. I could have done this myself had I known what to do. Thats why Im writing this. Also he said to be sure to turn fridge off for 48 hours to make sure all the ice has defrosted. Thats a pain, but weve been removing the ice for 2 years every 3-4 weeks. If this works, its worth the 48 hours without a fridge. If this works, you wont hear from me, if not, Ill let you know. It was a $79 service call. Its a bad design and hopefully Samsung has changed it. My fridge is almost 4 years old. I love everything else about it.

I am a contractor who has installed over 100 dishwashers. This is the worst installation design I have ever seen. The hot water & drain connections are at the left rear corner of the D/W. The hot water supply line requires a 90 degree fitting (which is NOT supplied). The water supply connection is 3 above the floor & 4 from the left side. The water connection fitting on the D/W is PLASTIC. You have to buy a 90 degree fitting (brass), then remove the BRASS connector nut & replace it with the PLASTIC nut provided with D/W. When you connect the water supply line to the 90 degree fitting, it has to bend at a 90 degree angle to fit in the cabinet opening. The Drain hose is also connected at the rear left hand corner. You are warned to not overtighten the 90 degree fitting (PLASTIC) or it can cause a leak. THEN, it tells you to slide the D/W into the cabinet opening & be careful not to kink the water & drain hoses. It is such an idiotic design that the instructions actually say, Get a SECOND or THIRD person to help you if this is necessary. Once installed you have no way of seeing if the water or drain hoses are leaking, until it is too late. Three days later water was dripping from my basement ceiling, due to water connection leaking and ruining my bamboo kitchen floor. For 46 years I have installed D/Ws with the connections right in front behind the base panel. An easy connection for one man/woman and you can readily observe if you have any leaks. Samsung should stick to TVs.

Had the Samsung refrigerator a little over a month and the ice maker stopped working. Called customer service who ran me through 15 minutes of tests then said a technician would call within 48 hours to come out and repair the fridge. Two days later after not getting a call, I called Samsung again and was informed that the last person I talked to must have forgot to assign a technician. I was then instructed to run through the same 15 minutes of tests and told (once again) a technician would call within 48 hours. The next day a Samsung representative called and while I assumed he was the technician calling to set up an appointment, he told me that no, he was in the product dept and was just calling to see if my ice maker was still broken. The only purpose for his call was to inform me that it would be ANOTHER 48 hours for a technician to call me.When I asked if the technician would call over the weekend, he responded that some work weekends, some dont. I asked to speak to his manager and he told me his manager was unavailable. Three days later and seven days after my initial call a local technician finally called me. He instructed me to push buttons on my freezer that I did not have and besides the fact that he sounded 12, he was completely confused as to which model I had and told me an engineer would call me back. When I asked how long that would take he said he didnt know, the engineer was in the field. The dishwasher failed the first time last year in April, 17. We were on vacation... Kids shut off machine and shut off breaker in electric panel as noise would not stop. I came home and tried machine and it worked fine. Used machine normally for a few washes and the LE error occurred. This has happened every week since. Local repair companies do not want to come and fix it... Same comment... Its a Samsung... No thanks! (Universal and Totem Appliance Repair). Went online and found weird solutions due to moisture issue around motor which causes the LE error and unit to fail. Need to leave machine off with Electric Breaker off as well. Needs to be off for several days and up to a week!!! Sometimes as is this week. Very frustrating as The Brick (now Leons owned) sold us this unit after our original purchase of a Brick House model failed after three months of use. No refund but had store credit to purchase another unit. We bought the Samsung as it seemed to have the best features... Top rack... water wall... ultra quiet etc. Pretty useless features when you cant use the machine for days and weeks at a time!!! After having A Maytag for 14 years with no issues till a recall issue had a service tech ruin the machine. We then purchased the new model Samsung DW80H993 SERIES. The 5 Year Warranty sold us... So much for that. Never again. With no support from Samsung locally and authorized dealers that will not come out fix the problem as it is a design flaw I will buy other models.

We purchased one samsung range two weeks ago and got the following problem: If you drop a single water on the cooktop surface, it will create a stain on it and you cannot remove it at all without spending five minutes using a wire ball! We used this range for just a couple of weeks but it looks like a ten year old one! Looks so ugly!

This Samsung twin cooling plus is the worst refrigerator ever! Every 5-6 months you have to shut down and defrost it, it freezes up like the refrigerators did back in the 50s! You have to take the whole back of the refrigerator apart to get the coil to defrost which is about 8-10hrs of defrosting! I would never recommend spending 1800.00 for this piece of garbage! They tell me that it is a common problem but offer no fixes! You think for the money spent they would help! But NO.

Bought a brand new Samsung refrigerator 3 months ago. This past Friday it died. Lost a fridge full of food and ruined my hardwood floor from all ice melting. Called and they couldnt get out til Monday. They said I would receive a call later that day with an appointment time. Never got a call. They showed up without notice on Monday morning. Tech said it needed major repairs and they wouldnt have the parts til Friday. Thats 8 days without a fridge. Called Samsung call center to complain and they didnt offer anything to help us. Asked to speak with a manager. The response received was you are unable to talk to a manager. Asked for an email address for a manager. Nope not an email address either. What type of call center or any business doesnt have a manager on duty. That is an absolute lie. They just dont want to be bothered. We planned on remodeling our kitchen with all Samsung appliances. Not any longer. DO NOT BUY ANY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES!

Terrible, terrible. We purchased this but we didnt install or use it for 12 months. From the initial washing it didnt drain - left nasty water in the bottom of the tub. (Called Lowes/Samsung but we missed the grace period by 2 days.) Had a repairman out twice but he cant fix it. Now Im finding that based on this terrible specimen, do not buy any Samsung dishwasher.

I wish I did more research and read reviews before getting into a Samsung refrigerator. 2 1/2 years ago, I bought a new refrigerator. Since I was spending more than a $1,000 on a fridge, I expected to last the usual 10 years and did not buy the guarantee. Well, I had problems with the refrigerator from day 1. A week after it was delivered I had to call service because of problems with the ice maker. After that service was called three more times with same problems. Motor is out now. Of course Samsung said you are out of luck since you did not pay $400 extra for the guarantee. I explained to them that is a persisting problem but they just say you are out of luck. Horrible customer service and worse product I ever spend money on. My washer and dryer are from another brand and I had them for more than 10 years. I will never buy a Samsung product again and will make sure my friends and family never buy a Samsung product either. Do yourself a favor and skip Samsung.

Ceramic cooktop model# NE59J342*SS - Cooking sausage on 3-month-old stove (about the 3rd or 4th time using the burner). After cooking then cleaned stove top and noticed a very small crack on burner! I had no idea where it came from. Noticed there was a small crack about 3/8 in long. I called with complaint and received call from Starkey Williams for repair, was told to take photo. Photo was sent to Samsung. The person from customer service said it was not covered because the warranty does not cover physical damage and said something was dropped on it and broke it. Drop damage??? I never dropped anything on it. Samsung refused to cover it stating physical damage not covered under warranty. Samsung refused to consider this could be manufactured defect stating it was physical damage. There is no indications that anything was dropped on it. Executive customer relations put me on hold for 45 min and then I was disconnected twice after waiting to speak to supervisor. Then finally was able to reach supervisor voice mail (what a surprise!), left message to return call and hopefully I will hear something soon. But will probably be told the same thing not covered under warranty, still not happy. Stove was recommended by Lowes rep! Samsung is the worst company I have ever dealt with!! Still fighting to see what someone can do.UPDATED ON 09/02/2015: Update to my complaint about Ceramic cook top model# NE59J342*SS. After several calls to Samsung and from Starkey Williams with no solution except for me to pay out of pocket for the cost of parts, labor and repair of range (approximately $300.00 for new cooktop and $175.00 for service call). Since I had purchased this range less than three months ago, I became very frustrated and decided to contact Lowes with my problem. I informed them of the complaint and was told I should have come to them first. I then quoted to Lowes the electrical safety warning statement from page 6 of the Samsung user manual. If your appliance malfunctions or if fractures, cracks or splits appear, switch off all cooking zones, unplug the range from the AC wall outlet and contact your local service center. (That sounds like this is not a new complaint, may have happen to someone else?) I didnt know who the local service center was, so I contacted Samsung with no help. Lowes instructed me to contact Lowes Advantage warranty service. I did and again no help as their warranty only covers what Samsung warranty covers, and does not cover physical damage. So, now what? I looked on back of sales receipt for Lowes return policy and found at Lowes, customer satisfaction is their goal. So, I hoped they might be able to repair or replace the item since it was purchased less than 90 days ago. Second trip to Lowes and discussion with appliance sales person and manager I was granted a solution and that was to replace the damaged range with another same model range. Im happy Lowes was able to help me and hope that I dont have any problems with this range. The delivery person said he was surprised of problem with Samsung range as he felt Samsung was a good company and made good products. I hope hes right. Thank you Lowes for your support in this issue.

One year after purchase, just after the warranty period finished, we found water freezing under and in the vegetable drawers. A month later we realized the paint was peeling off the handles. Searches online indicated other customers with the water problem had multiple service calls with no solution. Thinking that perhaps Samsung had found the solution since those calls happened, I tried contacting them. Since I had read of the same problem and the cause, I defrosted my fridge and was able to describe to Samsung exactly what was happening... but they wanted to send a service tech and charge me for the visit. I did not want to go through the useless repairs that other customers have gone through with no guarantee on their repairs, so we have not had a repairman. Every two or three months we defrost the fridge. Now the handles are looking awful and I dont know if they can do anything other than replace them with handles that have the same defect. I would like some real customer service from Samsung, but I just get boilerplate answers.

Four days ago, wife went for ice cream and all items in freezer were melted, ice cubes and all frozen items melted. There are only 2 adults in this house and we eat out all the time so this appliance is not abused, opened and closed 500 times a day by 5 kids. Wife calls Samsung and gets the run around from someone reading a card...do this, do that, and next day, thanks to the idiot, the temperature had gone up another 10 degrees. We called again and again, got another idiot reading off another card that could not give any usable information, and the best they could do is set us up with a generic all-brand appliance repair private contractor whom, after checking the c/os against him, sounded shady.I cancelled the call and took a bullet with Sears $275 plus tax $294 on top of the ton of money this hunk of Asian crap cost me (the contractor grade American fridge I got with the townhouse was working fine for 28 years until I unplugged it the day this crap came into my house). So much for Asian technology, and do not expect any red carpet treatment from Samsung CSRs!!!!! I am so sorry I bought this!!! And will never call Samsung again. As absurd as it may sound, a Honda service writer may have offered better information as what to do to check the appliance!

We have the same problems as so many others! Water/ice under crisper drawers. Warranty has expired - OF COURSE. Unfortunately, we bought all new household appliances in 2012. EVERY SINGLE APPLIANCE has had problems, the fridge is only the latest. The washer....spitting water out from the dispenser tray and the drum seal leaking as well. Stove, fan, element, dishwasher quit working completely and had to be replaced and now the refrigerator. The only one covered by warranty was the dishwasher. I swear, they have timers in these things setting them to fail.

We got the new refrigerator in April 2015. I immediately noticed the ice cubes came out different sizes and some crushed. Also the cubes are cloudy and have frost. I called Famous Tate in Tampa where we bought it and was told to call Samsung direct. The tech came out and said nothing he could do but apply silicon to seal the ice maker and hope for the best. Well it didnt help and then Famous Tate sent one of their techs and he basically said the same thing. The ice maker is flawed and we will have to live with it. Why? I paid good money for a new refrigerator and it is worse than the old one. I want to trade but so far no help from Famous Tate or Samsung.

We paid $2700 for a Samsung refrigerator with an extended five year warranty. A few months after the warranty ran out, the compressor died. For $95, Samsung’s repairman recommended buying a new refrigerator rather than paying over $1000 for the repair. Samsung Support recommended finding an unauthorized repairman that might do the repair at a lower price. Meanwhile, we are using our 29 year old Hotpoint refrigerator that we have in our garage.

I spent over $400 to have back panel, evaporator and fan piece replaced. The tech advised that he does the repair often and it is a known quality issue. I purchased all new Samsung kitchen appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and stove) last year around July 4th during a sale at Lowes. I took delivery at different times as all items were not in stock. A year and 2 weeks later, the ice maker has stopped working. When I originally noticed that no ice was being made, the ice tray (where the ice cubes are made) was froze up. I removed the excess ice and waited. Nothing. I researched on the internet and tried to fix the problem myself. Changed the filter, checked water line and then hit the reset button. The ice maker will make one batch of ice and then no more.I called Samsung and because the warranty was out by 2 weeks, they wanted $160 service call, plus parts and additional labor, if necessary. I declined. I called Lowes to see if they would stand by their product and help. Nothing. I understand that the warranty is out, by two weeks, but I would like Lowes and Samsung would stand behind their products more and support their customers. I would understand if we were talking months or years, but this is two weeks. Actually less, if I consider when I actually took possession of the refrigerator, because it was after the July 4th date and the failure was actually before I reported it to Samsung and Lowes. To top it off, the price of a new ice maker is only $123, which I have on order now. So the $160 service call, plus parts and labor seems a little excessive. In addition to the refrigerator ice maker issue, the dishwasher does not clean as well as my 15 year old working Whirlpool that I removed. And 80% of the time has a foul odor in it, the day after washing dishes. The microwave has worked, but has a very annoying design feature. You can not operate the microwave and use the kitchen timer at the same time. Very poor design. If I had to do it all over again, I would have paid a little more and went with Whirlpool products instead of buying the Samsung products. I will not make that mistake again and do not plan on buying any products from them and will favor doing business with Home Depot over Lowes if I have a choice.

Within months of purchasing my RF23J9011SR counter depth 4 door fridge...ice maker stopped working. I defrosted it several times and it did work but you can hear the gear (auger) clicking. Then 1.5 yr later, it completely stopped working. I believe the design is flawed as the ice maker sits in the refrigerator section and not the freezer area. Having different temperatures, plastic gears, etc...are probably the root cause. Fortunately, Samsung did honor a one time warranty so that it wouldnt cost me the $610 to replace the case auger and ice maker via the authorized repair place.

He said it was on page 11, so I scroll down to page 11. I dont see it, he says he meant page 10. I go there. Its not there. Then he says Go to page 33, so I scroll down to page 33, which is no help. Then he gives me a confirmation no. The person tell me she wipes up her spills right away. I tell her that is not the problem, the liquid got between the edge of the glass and the plastic. She tells me I cant remove the glass to wash it. If this is the case, I am so sorry I purchased this fridge. I will make sure no one I know buys this from Samsung. The water dispenser is a continual problem with dripping water even when no one is using it. When you put your glass under the spout for crushed or reg. ice, the ice keeps coming and goes on the floor. I guess you can see I am an unsatisfied customer. If you know a way to remove the glass, please let me know, since I cannot afford another refrigerator. Thank you.
