I had sparks in my Microwave as if there was lightning, it took 2 weeks for the Technician to come and have a look, when he came, he said He could not see any sparks, but will order the Mother Board, which will be another 3 weeks., Every 20 minutes the microwave is buzzing with a sound. How frustrating.

Remodeled kitchen and bought new Thermador 48 dual fuel range. I really like the griddle and make pancakes every Sunday on it. However, I did not expect the oven to be so noisy. When I preheat the oven, before it reaches desired temp, the really noisy fan comes on and stays on until long after I turn off the oven. I bought quiet DW as well as a quiet washing machine. It didnt occur to me that an oven could be noisy. It is impossible to have a conversation in the kitchen vicinity or listen to the radio when the oven is on. That obnoxious fan is just too noisy. Its annoying enough that Id never buy a Thermador again.

As with others, we spent a lot of money on this over/under oven. Looks nice but the internal design is awful. Its been 4 years now and we have had to replace the control boards 3 times already... and it died again a week ago. There is NO support for Thermador appliances in the Dallas area. Parts cost as much as the original unit almost if you can find them. I have replaced the faulty boards 3 times so far, but Im too tired to deal with this anymore. The analog & digital boards run about $600... 3 sets are enough for a new oven. Its a giant rip-off. Where is the quality design & service... missing totally. Were going to purchase a new oven now and it wont be Thermador. In 50 years, I have never experienced such poor design and support. I cant believe Thermador is still in business!

We just replaced a 15 year old Thermador Professional gas range and oven with a new 36” Thermador Professional 366 range and oven. About $10,000 invested with installation. Most disappointed on delivery to find new oven door quite dirty in between the glass windows. Also oven temperature about 60-70 degrees hotter than the dial setting. The worst, however, is that a new oven rack that was soaked in water for about 6-7 hours to remove some baked on cheese has started to rust. Obviously there is no quality control at factory and cheap materials are used for components. We have had two Wolf range/ovens and have been most happy with them. I would strongly recommend anyone looking for a top of line range/oven forget about the Thermador line.

Got a lemon. Simple as that. Brand new $6,500.00 stove not functioning properly, on broil or bake, intense amount of heat and smoke coming from stove after it is heated. I do have a good vent system and must have it on, otherwise I would have the alarm go off for all the smoke that builds up and seeps out of oven. After 2 technicians I am told the blower element needs to be replaced. Brand new stove and parts need to be replaced??? Unacceptable!!! Newly installed and after a few uses with manufacturing defects it should not be considered safe to use. Thermador is only willing to replace parts and not replace.

Thermador double oven ME302JS, Refrigerator T36BB810SS - We purchased a suite of appliances including a fridge, range top, double oven, and dishwasher. The double ovens function just fine. However they buzz very, very loudly. Service has been to our house four times to either diagnose or attempt a repair to no avail. The service techs have been pleasant to work with and I appreciate their efforts as they have expressed genuine frustration. They have also expressed frustration with Bosch as they havent been helpful to find a solution. The fridge suffers from a slow ice maker. After 24 hrs, the bin is only about two inches deep of ice. The motor was replaced, no success. Bosch told the techs to lower the temp from zero to -4. That didnt work either. The techs have asked for further help from a Bosch area rep on both issues but they havent been forthcoming. Ive also sought help from the store who sold us the appliances. They forwarded my video of the noise to Bosch personnel, but they havent responded either. My patience has run out. If Bosch was responsive and helpful with a solution, this review would be more positive.

Was excited about getting a steam oven in April 2015. I like to bake bread. Disappointed that top temp is 450 degrees F. Still, it makes nice (not great) bread. But really upset that the light bulb blows out because its glass enclosure has a seal made of crumbly black stuff that lets the steam right in. When I tried to order replacement gaskets, I was told I had to order the entire glass cover, as well. Rip-off! In this century, gaskets like this should last for Years!

I purchased a pro style Thermador range/oven in 2008. It worked 2 years. Beginning in 2010, Ive replaced the ignitor every year, at a cost of almost $400. I expected this range to work since I paid about 10 times more than I would have for an average range. I will never buy another Thermador ANYTHING. The company that services the oven does excellent work. Its not them. Its THERMADOR.

My husband and I purchased a very expensive double wall oven, warming drawer and microwave/convection combo 2 years ago. We truly thought that for the extra money we would get a worry free appliance to last us several years. We were so wrong. It was problem after problem. Thermador customer service is rude and, frankly, couldnt care less. I even wrote to the CEO of Thermador, who also responded briefly, rudely and offered no solution, other than, Oh well, you are past your 1-year warranty. The company I purchased the ovens from has offered to buy out our warranty, as they cannot find anyone to repair these so-called high-end ovens. But I am still stuck with a costly oven that does not work and is less than 5 years old. The old saying that you get what you pay for is not true. I should have stayed with the builders cheap GE that was 15 years old and worked fine. What an expensive mistake!

Thermador / Bosch only support the newest models of their appliance, and have discontinued product support and parts for legacy ranges and appliances. I need something as simple as a knob for a range, and their customer service basically told me to search the internet to see if I can find something, because they do not support their product and cannot recommend a replacement. They went on to tell me that they have no responsibility after the product is purchased and that it would be best to spend $1500 on a new range. Terrible, terrible, terrible customer service and support! Will never buy their products again!

Thermador 48 double oven ,4 burner, grill and griddle - We remodeled our kitchen in 2005, and I purchased what I thought was the best cooking appliance available. I was sadly mistaken. The small left side oven no longer works properly and can only be used as a warming drawer. The temperature will no longer go above 120 degrees. The part needed to repair this I am told is $900 plus labor. I doubt if I have used this oven more than 25 times since it was installed. I’m very dissatisfied since the oven we replaced (not Thermador) had worked perfectly since 1986.

At what point do you help intervene to get Thermador to recall their piece
At what point do you help intervene to get Thermador to recall their piece of junk ovens? There are over 220 complaints on your website about the fact that the ovens overheat and shut off during cooking with the various error codes. I have had F24 and F25 consistently for the past 10 years with the display panel, 2 sets of hinges, and the broiler element all having been replaced by me. I would really like someone from Consumer Affairs to look into these Thermador touch panel ovens. Mine is the c302, for which I spent over $4000 on.

I have a Thermador double oven and warmer. In the past year, I have replaced the display, hinges, seal for over $1500. The oven display keeps losing the time. When my repair company, Complete Appliance, call customer service, they get no satisfactory answer as to why this is happening. They are frustrated and I am frustrated. I am building a new home and will not be using Thermador! If I were told from the beginning this cannot be fixed, I would have gotten a new oven. Instead I was told, Just replace this and the problem would be fixed. Thermador does not care about their customers once their product has been purchased. Shame on Thermador!

I guess Im lucky. I havent had a disaster with our convection double oven. We bought ours, used about 6 years ago, from a house that was being gutted and remodeled. It was a 95 model and I was thrilled to be getting an updated, and convection oven. Now, Im nervous about keeping it and having something disastrous happen from all of these other posts. I was only trying to find a replacement knob and was frustrated at not being able to find one since they are no longer manufactured. Our oven was very difficult to install. My husband and father were able to cut the holes into the attic and vent it properly, but it has never cooked evenly, even using convection, and it always takes 30-45 minutes longer to cook anything like casseroles or meatloaf, anything denser.

After six service calls, new wiring, new motherboard, etc, still didnt fix the issue. Used social media to force Thermador to replace the range, now six months later, same issues with the new range. Customer service is awful, giving us a hard time about repairs because our purchase date (of the original range) is pre-warranty. DO NOT BUY THERMADOR!!! Choose Viking or some other manufacturer.

I took the day off and the 1st visit was just to see the range. Then I had to take another day off for the real repairs and when they came, somehow after they finished another two burners did not work. No explanation. I was told I was responsible financially. 3rd visit and day taken off they came with the wrong parts. I called to complain and have them accommodate my time so that I dont take time off, in addition not be responsible for the two extra burners because it was the techs fault, and they refused both.

I purchased a top of the line Thermador microwave, oven and warming drawer
I purchased a top of the line Thermador microwave, oven and warming drawer at the end of January 2019. The microwave did not work from installation. The repair man couldnt fix it after 2 months of working with him and Thermador. In the meantime, the repair man reinstalled the oven door poorly and it does not completely close. The warming drawer also does not heat evenly. After 2 plus months working with Thermador management, which never responds or finds resolution, and their certified repair companies, I am still without a microwave, oven and warming drawer that work properly.I have asked for my money back and they insist that I continually waste my time on the phone and at home waiting for someone to figure out how to repair the problem. I have a full time job and cannot spend endless days on trial and error. The management does not reach out to me with a better solution. I have to chase them. Each time there is a new person/manager with no follow up. When you pay that much money for quality, you would expect top notch products and customer service. Stay away from Thermador. You can find much better for a lesser price and better quality.

When we renovated our kitchen 6 years ago we got all Thermador appliances. The dishwasher has since been replaced (after 4 years and over $1,500 in repairs that lead to nothing), the double ovens work but I cannot read the digital display that shows the time or timer. This has never worked since day one and no matter what the technician tried to do, it didnt fix the problem that area just flashes. My favorite (tongue in check) appliance by far is the fridge. After about 8 months the left door suddenly wouldnt close. We discovered the plastic sleeve that rolls in when closing and out when opening kept buckling and we would have to smooth it over with our hands in order to close the door. Try having anyone under 5 feet do that every time they open the fridge door. This has been repaired 4 times. Presently, the door does not shut again, the fridge turns off every night so we wake to a warm fridge and turns itself back on once we start opening the doors in the morning. The ice maker also stopped working last week. Technician is coming today. I cannot tell you how excited I am to hear what will need to be done and the cost to start the process to fix the problems. If history repeats itself, I will spend a few thousand dollars trying to repair what is wrong, only to discover that I will need to spend more money to try other fixes... since the ones we have done are not working. If you are thinking about buying a Thermador... DO NOT DO IT. Unless you are the kind of person that enjoys throwing money out the window and dealing with a service department that loses interest in you the second you buy their product.

We purchased the 36 professional range, with 4 burners and griddle in the middle, about 2 years ago and are fairly content. But the reason for the 2 stars is that for nearly $10,000 we should be completely satisfied. The light inside went out within about a year, weve had a few issues with the bake function (which Thermador took care of), but have also been dealing with a loud noise in the back for about a year.Upon looking at the back, up top, right inside the vent area, its apparent that the sheet metal they used wasnt installed flat. So basically theres a bulge that rattles, since it doesnt sit flush, and they used far too few rivets to secure it. For this amount of money it just doesnt seem right. Dont even get me started on the dishwasher, if you dont pre-clean dishes very very thoroughly, it will start giving you problems. My last GE dishwasher, which was just a few hundred dollars, ran like a champ without a problem - ever.

We bought Thermador appliances throughout four years ago when re-modeling our kitchen. Never again. Thermador is junk, its priced two or three times what a normal appliances cost, and they dont last as long as a typical Hotpoint. Our double wall ovens, model PODC302, ($5,700) have had temperature-accuracy problems after a year of use. Weve had thermostats replaced. We will likely need the control panel to be replaced (thats $1,500). The ovens currently either heat to 500+ degrees when set to 250-300 or they dont heat at all, ruining another holiday dinner. Our microwave, model MBES, ($1,500) has a door-open button made out of taffy -- replaced twice so far and failing again. The dishwasher works, and the $11,000 built-in fridge/freezer only required two service calls to work properly. So far. So thats 50% of the stuff that doesnt work. Never, ever buy Thermador. Their products are astronomically-priced trash, their support is nonexistent, and their replacement part costs are straight out of the Porsche parts-pricing school. Live and learn.

I have the name of the Thermador service technician in Huntington Beach, Ca who for three weeks failed to call the one person left who is qualified to repair this thing. I even spoke with this Thermador technician last week and he assured me that he would call the service company in Port Angeles and arrange a service call. He failed miserably in making that call. Updated on 11/03/2020: We bought a package of appliances for our home and because of past experience (20 years ago) with Thermador we decided to go that route again. It was a huge mistake as Thermador quality and customer service are far different now. We paid about $13,000 for the range and it has not worked since being installed. Had a service appointment scheduled which was three weeks out. When the date came no one showed up and they conveniently said they showed no appointment in their records. This caused another 3 week delay. Guy finally showed up today and once again he said he had to order parts and will schedule an appointment to install the parts. We are now at 2 months without an operating range. I strongly recommend anyone looking at Thermador, Subzero or any of their products to rethink it. These people are difficult to deal with, have next to no customer support and they could care less about their companys failure to take care of its customers.Original Review: We remodeled our home and used Thermador products. We originally had a Thermador range we build home the home 22 years ago. That range was pretty problem free. We bought the same type of model as well as a subzero refrigerator and other appliances. We just moved back into our home and tried to use the ovens. They failed and are not working. Called Thermador and they said it will take 3 weeks to get anyone out. No sense of urgency and next to zero in support. I would never use their products again and will certainly never recommend them. To expect someone to wait 3 weeks is insane.

Our home came w/a Thermador three piece microwave, warming drawer, and wall oven. The home is now 10 years old and the microwave has stopped working on the three piece unit. I was shocked to learn that you have to replace the entire unit for nearly $6,000 because they no longer make replacement parts. The rep on the phone was nice but explained that in order to keep up w/ technology they dont make replacement parts for things like microwaves. I guess when you buy a Thermador you should remember that it is unlikely you will get replacement parts and if you buy a three piece unit you will need to replace the entire thing if one component breaks. The rep seemed surprised that I would be upset about this... I guess they really only expect their products to last up to 10 years. That isnt very long for such an expensive high-end product. Dont buy Thermador ranges. A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND A LOT OF IT. Weve had the ProGrand garbage for 1 year. Excluding previous problems, the most recent is the oven lights no longer function. Called Thermador for assistance. They stated that while still under warranty, the oven bulbs (2 of them) are a routine consumer maintenance issue and a tech would not be assigned. So, I spent $40 for a bulb. Despite I specified that no lights function in the oven, Thermador sent me only 1 light. With much difficulty, I replaced the defective bulb in the lower right of the oven. Powered the oven back up, AND NOTHING. Removed the new bulb and placed it into the upper left socket. After powering back up, AND NOTHING.Frankly, Ive never had to replace an oven bulb in a 10 year old oven, you know, the far cheaper commonly found brand names of Kenmore, Amana, Frigidaire or other LOW END ovens. But for $10,000 you can buy a Pro Grand and have all kinds of fun calling for support, technicians, and an oven that is pure, bonafide garbage. Get this, in preheating mode, the oven will on occasion never reach set point. Rebooting the power supply seems to help. The racks are a dream too. They are extremely difficult to interchange to a new height setting. And they DONT CARE.On a prior occasion speaking with Thermador support, I asked if I could convey my dissatisfaction with their quality group. Specifically, they have some serious quality control issues. I was told that was not possible. This oven, and the lack of Thermadors concern is all the reason a consumer needs to know that this product is garbage and very expensive at that, relatively to conventional offerings. STAY AWAY, DONT BUY A THERMADOR OVEN.

We updated all of our appliances except our ovens, Thermador double wall oven, since they were still working well when we redid our kitchen. They have since failed intermittently, however they are 16 years old. We attempted to service them for repair without a result, and customer service Chris was incredible at understanding the issue and helping to expedite the next step of aiding with a new oven given we are 35 weeks pregnant and need a solution ASAP. They were understanding to our situation and went above and beyond to be helpful and empathetic. I am impressed at the professionalism and promptness of Chris with thermador, and will continue to love their products.

These stoves are expensive. They’re supposed to work. There is supposed to be rapid customer service. The griddle is calibrated on both sides. It’s not. The stove goes up to high temps or can’t keep the temp. The range and wall ovens reset. It is supposed to be a motherboard issue. I’m very frustrated as we can’t cook. Family of six and we can’t cook. The stove turn off in the middle of the bake or resets or can’t keep the temp. If it does t lock up and you can’t open the door.

Replacement part of oven sensor no longer available which makes the double ovens non-operational when it senses a problem that usually does not exist. All other parts of the oven work and it is poor customer service to leave a total replacement as the only option. Built-in oven replacements amount to thousands of dollars. I cannot in good conscience recommend a company that said they are only liable for the parts for 7 yrs. This is Thermador using Government Regulations to provide poor customer satisfaction and quality control.

I have Thermador cooktop, hood, warming drawers and double ovens since 2001 in my kitchen and I have been satisfied but very disappointed that they just keep replacement parts for 8 years and if you need repairs the technician have to search all over the country for a replacement part. Then we decided to have a winter home and they offer me an appliance package from Thermador that it was hard to pass. What a mistake! I think either Thermador make a incentive package out of the defected products or their quality has deteriorated so much that it has been a nightmare.I would never again buy Thermador, I am writing this the morning of December 26, 2019. I couldn’t cook my Christmas dinner because my very new oven wouldn’t work! During Thanksgiving week the double fridge drawers woke up my whole family with its alarm many times during the night and then stopped working for 3 day. These fridge drawers were repaired a few months after being installed.I called customer service and the agent told me that they were having an unusual amount of calls so he couldn’t set an appointment for me. They usually do because “I am an important customer because my whole kitchen is full of Thermador but not today. I guess everyone that used their appliances for the holidays found out they don’t work the way they are supposed to. Also my hood leaks oil, my dishwasher leaked water and my warming drawer doesn’t do a good job. Very disappointed customer. DO NOT BUY THERMADOR.

I am an experienced baker of 35 years. We finally finished building our dream house and purchased a Thermador double oven in 2015. It has done nothing but ruin everything Ive baked. Had the service repairman out and was told I wasnt using the settings right. After using the times and settings according to the manual, baked goods turned out worse!I have wasted countless hours and ingredients trying to make something turn out right, adjusting temperatures, times, settings and rack placements. What a huge waste of money and disappointment with this oven. If I could afford to replace it, I would. No help from store we bought it from or Thermador manufacturing. Do not buy a Thermador oven. I would never recommend any products from this company after this experience. For many years, I baked in cheap ovens with great results. This $1,800 appliance has ruined my baking ability since we are now unable to replace it with something that works and unfortunately, it is built into the wall in an expensive cabinet.

I purchased $8000 Thermador oven that is worthless. The broiler function has never worked, and it does not heat evenly. The top igniter unit does not work. I have spent over $1500 in repairmen claiming they fixed the problem when in reality they never fixed anything. With a gas oven, how does one know if it is truly fixed? Do not buy Thermador. The company, the appliance center where we purchased the oven, and the repairmen were all of no help. Now we are stuck with this expensive oven that we cant even use. All items come out burnt on the bottom and completely raw on top.

We remodeled our kitchen before moving into our, new to us, but older home, back in 2014. When it was time to choose appliances, I was extremely excited, being a baker especially wanting to enjoy our new oven. The existing gas stove in the home was a Thermador so I thought I would get the same brand for the oven. The salesman wasnt very helpful so I just chose the double convection oven. Surprisingly, the convection aspect was not useful in controlling odors emanating from the oven, as I was told it would.Recently, the control panel went out, affecting many functions of the oven, the main one being only ONE oven would turn on at a time. The repair person explained the two year warranty and although this was a very expensive repair; upwards of $600, Thermador would not reimburse me for that reason. The oven also heats food is quite unevenly. Additionally we paid for the upgraded glider shelves, which do not glide appropriately. Then I discovered part of the shelf is bent, which explains the poor function, yet also indicates poor quality control. Overall, I am not impressed with this brand and would not recommend them.

The third time the inside glass shattered inside the oven, they told me Thermador will be sending an engineer from the New Jersey area to come and see the problem with this door on this model. I am still waiting. It has been 4 years and I had to replace the door myself. However, the glass has cracked inside shortly after replacement and I continue to use it with broken glass. This unfortunately does not give an accurate oven temp because there is not a seal. So dissatisfied with Thermador for not backing their products. All I want is a new door oven that does not break at high temps.

I purchased a 48 steam/range in 2013. I have experienced trouble with the gasket around the steam oven. While it was under warranty it was repaired several times. Each time within a short amount of time the rubber gasket came loose. Now they will not stand behind it. Earlier this year, they agreed to pay for the part but not the labor to install it. They know this is an issue. I went to Pacific Sales and looked at the new like range and the new unused one already had a loose gasket. This is very disappointing as I have close to $16,000 into the cost of this range. I am very surprised that there is no class action lawsuit regarding this problem. As I see it the oven is stainless steel and the gasket is rubber of some sort and there is no way of adhering the two together. I would not recommend this steam/oven combo!

Great if they work-HORRIBLE SERVICE IF THEY DONT. I recently purchased 33k worth of Thermador appliances from Ferguson. I took delivery of the appliances and just had the 12k+ range installed. I am in the middle of my move and eager to be settled. It is defective and I tried calling your service line. After being on hold over 25 minutes Teresa answered the line and was brusque in manner. She informed me that I could wait until September 22 for service. That is quite a distance away, so I asked for an alternative. She said I could call one other authorized service technician in the Los Angeles area that is permitted to service your brand. I am unfamiliar with this process so I asked if it is I that would call, and if your company would be taking care of the payment, and she replied “if you would let me finish I would tell you”. I was merely asking about the process. SO rude. I thought you were meant to be a luxury brand.Certainly your call center missed the service piece of that experience. I said that I was “trying to get clear about the process and that she needn’t be rude about it- that I was unfamiliar with this process as I had not done it before”. Teresa curtly answered that if I didn’t like her manner that she would turn me over to another agent and before I could protest she promptly hung up on me. I am frankly appalled and I plan on putting this company on blast all over the internet for the lack of service, and ridiculous treatment.I have an expensive product that is defective, am in the middle of a move, and am merely trying to get something fixed. Now I have to spend additional hours chasing this down while working full time and attending to various other obligations. I would hope to get some assistance. I purchased a 48 dual fuel Thermador range on July 20th 2016. It is now September 22nd and it still does not work. The first problem after setting up making connections and checking for gas leaks I found the third valve from the left had a gas leak at the main manifold. So the process of repair begins. What a mess.I call the authorized service facility four times trying to communicate with the repair technician so he would be able to order parts prior to traveling 110 mile to look at problem then return waiting 7-10 shipping days, two weeks, to get the part then make a return trip. After the fourth call I was told I had to call between 8:00 and 8:30 to be able to talk with the repairman. FINE! So I call the next day and explain where the leak is. He orders parts. After two and a half weeks he makes the trip. Upon removal and disassembly he sees, Yep I was correct. Then he opens box at job site. I remind you Im a 110 miles from the service station. So WRONG PART! Back to plan B.I chew on them and they promise to expedite the correct part and open the box prior to leaving the shop. I receive a call after one and a half weeks. They have the part and the box was opened and its correct. I am scheduled for the following Tuesday. So Monday arrives and I receive a call stating my parts will be on Thursday and Im scheduled for the following Tuesday. NO NO NO! Im scheduled for tomorrow. Nothing can be done no part! The serviceman arrives a week late and makes the repair. Before he leaves we have troubles with the two XLO burners on the two outsides of the stove top. He says I have a power problem and it was up to me to fix. Im an electrician and told him I didnt believe that. He returns to the shop. I pull the range back out and test. NO power problem! I try the small left-hand oven and I get ERROR TEMP PROBE, call some 1-800 number so I do. Yep Im in need of service. So back to the service station I go. Ive received a call stating the part is in. However the serviceman is on vacation until October 2nd and Im scheduled for the 4th.Ive tried several calls direct to Thermador. The last call I was told I would receive a call back on what they plan to do about this problem. This is the fourth day and no return call. I just want this thing out of my house and Im done with it! Outside of an attorney Im not sure what I am able to do. Im going to call consumer reports next. DONT ever buy one of these! Terrible quality control and even worse service network!

I was saddened when I finally went to look at the reviews on Thermador; THE REVIEWS ON ALL PRODUCTS ARE ALL POOR. DO NOT BUY ANY THERMADOR PRODUCT, YOU WILL REGRET IT. I bought a dual fuel range Model #PRD486EDHU/01 with a dishwasher. I could go on for some time about the many shortcomings of this equipment, here is the short list: expensive electronics are UNDER THE BURNERS, WHERE SPILLS LEAK ONTO, then it takes weeks and $1000s to repair. When one part fails, the whole system is out of commission. There are blowers that blow a strong stream of air away from the front of the stove. This blows all the smoke from inside the ovens out into the room where it cannot be removed by the hood. The Burner design extremely difficult to clean up spills.

We remodeled our kitchen in 2016 and spent a small fortune on what we believed to be high end appliances with Thermador. The Thermador range/steam oven combo is a piece of junk! Thermador replaced the first one within a year because we had so many problems and now the current one we are on our 6th major repair in 5 years! The current repair - replacing the convention motor for the second time - has taken us over 2 months to get completed...and we are still waiting (theyve cancelled our appointment twice by not showing up). Thermador customer service is pretty much non-existent. Do yourself a favor and buy another brand!

We purchased 2 Thermador gas ranges in 2005, one smaller wall unit and a larger free standing 6 burner model PG3668s/05. I hardly have used the larger oven, only for holiday turkeys and meals in the past 12 years, as it has continually needed servicing! I am very disappointed in this model as it was expensive, and larger yet not at all efficient as I had hoped with larger meals. I wish we had purchased 2 of the SEC301 type wall units instead of this deluxe gas range. The problems we continually have had with this range are mostly concerning the heat of the oven. It does not heat to the desired temperature! We have had North Town service this issue so many times, with the fan and the controls, and the starter, and it never seems to solve the heating up problem. Then the large door fell off! It is a heavy door and the hinges on one side broke. I have stopped trusting it to fully cook the food after half cooked casseroles and turkeys. I depend on the smaller unit for all my baking and cooking because of these issues. I trusted the Thermador brand and at first, was excited to have purchased this large, convection/gas range... however, the oven has been out of commission much more than it has been functioning! Repairs have cost us more than we have expected since the oven consistently doesnt heat up beyond 250 degrees, and the warranty for repairs is only 6 months! I will not purchase another large Thermador professional gas range again because of all the problems I have encountered with this model.

We spent a lot of money on a 6-burner, double oven range about $5,000, 15 years ago. One of the burners doesnt work and the oven on indicator light will not go off. When we called for service, we were told that parts would be difficult to find. The technician will charge $100 to come out and tell us that there arent any parts for this appliance because it is so old. Really, the customer service rep (and supervisor) think that this is completely acceptable since the lifetime of the appliance is about 14 years. Why pay so much money for something that will be replaced in that period of time? I have a Maytag washing machine that is 25 years old and the couple of times it needed repairs, I was never told that its so old, parts may not be available. Im writing to advise people that you may as well go with a cheaper brand that supports their product rather than a Thermador that considers their own brand disposable. Service is a disgrace. Save your money.

Once you turn the oven to a certain temperature you cannot adjust it, no turning down that pie thats been in for 15 minutes. You have to turn the oven off and let it cool down. Thermador -Unless you enjoying seeing F-34 codes on the panel, do not buy! Their products are suppose to be a higher end brand of appliances and the cost goes right along with that. I have a Thermador built in double wall oven. I cannot tell you how many control panels I have had replaced at $486 each plus labor! Tack on the relay and touch panel replacements, Ive clearly spent more on the repairs than the outrageously priced oven. I had an authorized Thermador service company here. After following the advice of THERMADOR tech. (who was on speaker phone,) they decided to replace the control panel. That was done but it did not fix the problem. So now trying a display panel BUT once an electronic part is opened it cannot be returned. So $486 down the drain. When panel was connected something happened with electric and everything went out. Now they say I need relay, control and display! NO THANK YOU!!I have never written a negative comment on any appliance before and probably would not have bothered with this, but the poor customer service was worse than the actual horrible oven. When I called customer service, I can tell that she was not interested in what I had to say. All service call copies were emailed to the email address given with a case number she gave me. I followed up 3 days later and of course they said customer service gave me the wrong email address. Back to square 1. No working oven, in the middle of a pandemic with a family of 6 and only a cooktop and microwave. Thank goodness my cooktop is a Viking. Never had a service call on it. I am purchasing a new wall oven. I would love to drop this off at Thermadors doorstep. Purchasing a new oven. Needless to say it will not be a Thermador.

I have to say that I purchased this range with great expectations thinking that Thermador had such a wonderful reputation; however, I am extremely disappointed in the performance of the larger oven. We had a small dinner party catered, and it would not hold the heat to finish preparing the dinner on her large sheet pans. Ive had problems with the lights not working intermittently, so I decided to replace the bulbs (which the manual states is a DIY maintenance item). This is not a DIY job because you have to crawl into the oven to reach them (there are 2 of them in the larger oven), and in order to do it properly, you pretty much have to remove the oven door. Suffice it to say that I now have to call a repairman to put the door back on. The first and only time I tried to clean the oven. The amperage on the circuit is exactly that specified by Thermador.

We purchased a group of Thermador appliances in 2016 when renovating our kitchen. We thought that we were purchasing high quality reliable appliances and we could not have been more wrong. Our double wall ovens have malfunctioned since 2017. Every year these ovens stop working and we have to pay out between $450-$900 each time even after these ovens were supposedly repaired before the warranty ran out. This year we had service on August 24 and paid $927.00 for a new relay panel. Now on November 18, 2021, within three months, we have to have both fans replaced at a cost of $864.00. The fans have already been replaced multiple times and contact with Thermador, the local rep and the retailer have produced either no response or sorry we dont deal with service issues. On top of this the Thermador dishwasher purchased at the same time requires a new motor. We have been careful with these appliances, do not put the self clean on too frequently and try to be mindful of usage. I would run for the hills before purchasing Thermador or any products under the same manufacturer-I feel we were sold a very expensive bill of goods-abominable!

36 inch dual fuel range & dish washer - We have had our Thermador for two years and the oven has been out of service for four months to date and its out again! When we first tried to clean the oven, the heat burned up the circuit board. But that was not the first thing they tried and every part they need they have to order after a home visit, so the process took almost two months to resolve the first time. No oven for Thanksgiving and almost no oven for Christmas. Next time we cleaned the oven, poof, its broken again. Now, the warranty is out of date but it is the same problem! Now we fight through another battle. The oven was again eventually fixed and survived several cleanings but once again the oven is kaput after an attempt to use the cleaning cycle. There is also the story about the issues with the Thermador dishwasher sometimes running and sometimes not. Less painful than the oven but not what you would expect from new top of the line appliances. Never buy a Thermador appliance! I am sure you will do much better with any other manufacturer.

The product does not function; the repair person they sent was not helpful and wants me to wait until January 3, 2017 for a repair, and I cannot talk to anyone but an after hours messaging center about my non-functioning oven a day before Christmas. On December 3, 2016, my family tried to use its new Thermador double oven (Model ME302JS/04) and received an error code (118). When the technician came, he did not have the necessary parts - despite contacting the company weeks earlier and giving them the exact error code for the problem. The next available repair slot is January 3, 2017. The product does not fulfill the warranty of merchantability, fitness, or any general warranties; the customer service is ineffective; and the Bosch-employed repair organization is slow, unprepared, disorganized, and unhelpful. This company has no sense of urgency about a major household investment.

Been having trouble with my Thermador PRL304EG ever since I have had it since 2006. Main electronic board after board, repair man cant put the finger on the issue. Maybe if parts were not made in China... They could make better ranges. Oven stops heating, or decides what it wants to do. I got a lemon in Thermador, or did I?? Probably all then same little cheap ranges... wont put their pants on and just replace unit. Repair cost for a Thermador is like 600.00 to $1000 a year (at least 2 services a year). If you want my advice, stay away from Thermador, because they sure do! Run Thermador run. Range should be giving me repair codes, but never in 10 years did it give any codes, not even once.

In 2003 we built our new home, and builder chose all Thermador appliances for the kitchen. We thought it was a reputable brand, and went along with it. These are the worst appliances we have owned. The electric smart zone stove takes literally hour to bring water a boil, wasting my time. I have two ovens, one of which lost its LED display and required replacement. The other does not heat the inside on BAKE, you have to put it on CONVECTION. On both, the door stopped closing completely after a while, requiring repair (even though we use the ovens maybe once every other week at maximum). The dishwasher, which does not clean dirty dishes (you have to prewash them) required repairs twice. The bottom dish rack is rusted and it costs ~$200 to replace it. All in all, I spent a ton of money on repairs, and every single piece has been a pain in the neck. I would NEVER EVER buy this brand again.

ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream
ProGrand oven and range - My wife and I bought this range that was a dream of my wifes, which now has turned out to be her worst NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!! We had it installed in our remodeled kitchen. Looks really nice, but for the most part so does a bookend. The range part works well but the oven is a joke. The only thing it cooks good is our bank account...! The wonderful people at Thermador thought they had better way to light a oven, putting a delay of so many seconds on the gas valve, before it lights... Thus filling your oven full of gas and when it lights, which you have a 50/50 chance that it might, the door on the oven jumps out a bit as it is now lit... For how long it stays going is a crapshoot. If you are cooking a roast that will take over a hour, forget it. It wont relight to keep at temp. But the fun part of it is the temp on the dial shows whatever the temp you set it at! Open the oven and its around 100 degrees. NICE! It is what it is and thats JUNK!We had a company who was great repairing the Wonderful PRO-Grand, new name should be PRO Crap, but anyway the repairman found a missing part in the oven. Called the Company and got the repair tech on the phone, who stated, We do not sell that Part... Now three weeks later the repair company going to bat for me, got the people at Thermador to send us the part. Which in fact they forgot to install at the so-called Factory! Wonderful the problem fixed right?????? NOPE! Installed that part and the oven is still doing the same thing...! Anyway not wanting to see the Nice repairman again for awhile we started using the barbecue as our new oven!Works great keeps the temp right and it only cost $300.00. Pro Grand $6000.00 Plus.... Is there something wrong with this picture????? Now we are getting close to the end of this Saga.....! Bit the bullet and called the Nice Repairman. Was like old home week for the first three minutes, but he got the Pro Grand apart could not figure it out and call the Factory Tech. His name is Mr. Confused. Was told what was happening and he could not figure it out either.....! So the Nice Repairman asked, Why do we need this delay on the gas and light it like the broiler lights? which is right now... Doesnt figure does it.....! DA. Okay, now one great-minded repairman and one confused Factory Tech tells the Nice Repairman, You mean like the Older Pro Grands? Yes, the OLD ONE!!!!!!! Yes!!!! Factory Tech the Old tried and true Lights every time system. Okay, the Confused Factory Tech says... Now we wait!!!!!!! Nice repairman leaves to find out what he needs as far as parts and if he really is right... Yes he was!!!!! Mr. Nice Repairman got all the new stuff ordered and now I have to Open my wallet again to pay the Nice Repair Company...! The cost of this repair was Only $475.80 thus bring up the total cost of repairs to $1065.71 Pro Grands final repair total. Dont waste your time with Thermador thinking they will stand behind the product. The Fact is they wont....! For those of you who dont know this Thermador is owned by Bosch...... !

Bought and professionally installed 48 dual fuel Pro Grand Thermador Range.
Bought and professionally installed 48 dual fuel Pro Grand Thermador Range. Oven temperatures are 40 to over 100 degrees low. Serviced by certified Thermador repair THREE times and they report no problems but my oven still wont bake. Thermador sent sales rep on third repair visit to bake cookies to show me how oven works... However per recipe, 350 degrees 11-15 minutes resulting in pale underbaked cookies over 30 minutes later. He documented the facts but after 10 days, I havent heard a word... Weve had range 4 months and still problematic! Thermador Rep doesnt want to believe anything is wrong with range even after witnessing failure to bake... with all my written documentation and ruined food. Ive even gone as far to bring identical dishes to bake at local Thermador Appliance Store with positive results, so I know baking is possible in a Thermador oven... just not MINE.

Remodeled kitchen 3 yrs ago & installed all Thermador appliances. Even though the built-in refrigerator didnt work from the time they installed it they would not replace it until they tried to repair it! So we basically went without a refrigerator for 2 months because it was not repairable and had to order a new one! The microwave went out a month after the warranty expired. Thermador did agree to honor the warranty. Repairman had to order part which took 6 wks. I was out of town when he came to repair. My son was home. When I returned I noticed dark spots & small dents on the front. After trying to clean spots off with no luck, I asked my son if he saw him work on the microwave and if he was rough with it to cause the damage. My son said he brought another microwave in. I called Thermador. After giving the serial # I was informed the unit was a 2008 model. My oven was a 2011. They asked for pictures of damage which was sent. No one from Thermador came to look or call me about complaint. I get a call saying the claim was closed because from the pictures I sent they couldnt see the damage. I asked about the fact that I got a used 2008 damaged unit. They said it was brand new! I told them that was fine but I would be warning others! Finally the Thermador rep called & asked what I wanted. I said, My microwave back and fixed. They did replace it with a new one. However exactly a year later the clock has stopped working which is what quit before the entire unit quit. Soooo, 2 weeks ago our gas oven quit working! I told my husband I refuse to call any of Thermadors licensed repairman and to just rip it out & go buy a Kenmore!!! He got online and chatted with someone that told him what could be the problem & how to repair himself. Ordered the part and tore the oven apart & fixed it himself!

Purchased a stove, dishwasher and refrigerator a few years ago for my principal residence. Do they look nice? Sure. It stops there. For my rental properties, they are too expensive to justify so I went with GE Profile. So far, all of my calls have been to repair the three Thermador products. No calls for the GE Profiles. Whats wrong with this picture???? Limited Warranty is for two years and most issues are after the two-year period. To top it off, Thermadors are only serviced by a few service companies who have you over a barrel. My advice would be to stay away from their products.

Our 12-year-old daughter pushed the preheat button on the display panel of our Thermador oven, after which the entire front pane of glass in the top oven completely shattered into tiny little pieces (several fell on her but luckily she was not hurt). We called Thermador and they will pay for a diagnosis from a local repair company, then let us know further once they receive the diagnosis report. From what I know about glass, it seems to have a malfunction from the tempering process when it was made, so it should be covered completely by them for being defective...guess well see...

We remodeled 12 years ago. Purchased a Thermador cook top which has only had one issue, the igniter. Easy fix, my husband did it himself. The Thermador 30 inch double oven has had the control panel replaced twice. Once in the first few months, and again 2 years later. It was a hassle getting Thermadors attention. Their authorized repair dealer took a long time to get the parts, both times it took many trips to fix the panel properly. The repair guy showed up with either the new part not working or the incorrect part. The door has always been a problem since the first year we purchased it. Didnt pursue the door problem because frankly, Thermador is a big hassle to deal with. After internet searching on how to repair the ourselves, I see that we were not alone with this door and panel issue. As a side note, we have friends that purchased the same oven; and they have had the control panel go out many times as well! Its too bad Thermador is not held to a higher standard of quality for their expensive high-end products. The consumer is left with practically no recourse with a short time frame on the return policy, installation expense, only a 1 year warranty, in-addition its very difficult to rip an appliance out to return it.

I build my kitchen around Thermador appliances... I received my range in December. It kept turning off after 10 min could not use self clean etc. Tech came out to fix...but after coming 3 times with no success my place of purchase decided to replace the whole range. I received a new 60 inch range 2017 model. They dropped it off without installing the unit...so I had someone come who I paid to do install. After install I was getting a cooling fan error. I had tech come again and he arrived after his second visit. He arrived with wrong part. A week later arrived again with wrong part...then called to say he would have to come back because he wasnt able to move unit by himself. Now another appointment a week later. He arrived with a pump to lift oven but wasnt strong enough to lift it...so lucky I was there. I helped him move the oven to install cooling fan. While oven was out I asked if he can pls raise the legs in the back about an inch so unit can be flush with tile. His response was its not my job. After all this and to say its not my job was very annoying...so now he installs fan but Im still receiving same error. I called again. They are sending same the same guy out with a helper. The day of repairs I get a call saying his helper could not get out of his driveway due to snow...really...but I was able to leave house with the same area snow. Now its end of March still no oven. 4 months without an oven to use and taking my wifes taken 10 days off work for them to come and fix. Horrible service. People whatever you do stay away from Thermador. Im am now going to place of purchase and asking them to remove all Thermador stuff from my home. I will be buying Wolf and Sub-Zero. Not sure of the issues I will be having if any with them but it cant be worse than Thermador...worst customer service I have ever come across. Also I paid like 20k for this range. My old oven I believe was a Miele. Ive had for 15 years without an issue. All I can say is stay far away.

Now the 2nd unit ($333 + tax & installation) has faded out a second time and Thermador is unresponsive. We certainly did not expect this from a Thermador product. We had a Thermador double oven installed (built in) in 1999. We have had two major issues in that time. First was the control panel replacement - the electric panel needed to be switched out with a new one (2006). Now the convection feature for both ovens is not working (the bake, broil, self-clean are working properly - thats the good news!). We purchased a Thermador Pro Harmony 36 range in 2010 and have been disappointed with it ever since. It was purchased as part of a kitchen remodel package and all 3 Thermador appliances purchased have been replaced over the 7 years we had them, except our oven which only performs sporadically. The griddle stopped working after a year, the circuit board has been replaced, the burner ignitors have been replaced, the broiler function no longer works and the oven door hinges no longer work to keep the door shut. We literally have to push a stool up against the door when we use the oven to keep the door closed. Thermador says they no longer make hinges since the oven is discontinued. And, they couldnt even provide me the name of a parts company to order new hinges. Apparently the hinges are no longer available, anywhere! They are worthless! DO NOT BUY THERMADOR!

We purchased a Thermador convection 30 inch built in microwave double oven
We purchased a Thermador convection 30 inch built in microwave double oven when we did a complete remodel of our home back in 2001. The microwave broke the first day we used it. Broken glass ended up in my food. Service people replaced the glass, which subsequently broke again the second time we used the upper microwave. I was then informed by Thermador that the microwave actually was not meant to cook the food but just to keep it warm. I did not bother to fix the microwave again. The convection oven never worked welI. We tried multiple times and the food did not cook completely. The upper oven door is very heavy due to the combo microwave feature. The doors have broken three times over the years. We have replaced the hinges twice times since 2001: Once in Feb 2008 and again in Jan. 2014. We were informed by an independent service man that the Thermador hinges are defective and that the company has known about this for years but has failed to inform the consumer. The new hinges that I just purchased apparently are the same defective hinges that I purchased prior. The company has made better hinges because the doors are too heavy, but they do not sell these to consumers. All I asked Thermador was to replace the defective hinges with the improved version but they refused. When our oven broke on New Years Eve, we had a house full of guests. Our oven was 350 degrees and would not close would not close, and it was a hazard to our guests. Our neighbors helped us tie up the oven with rope to keep it from burning the children. We feel strongly that the Thermador oven is an inferior product.

My Thermador double oven is only 3yrs old. The first problem I had was to replace the clock. It had stop working. Thank goodness it was still under warranty that time. Now after 3 years having the oven, my stress level had sky rocket. First, it took over a month to finally to get an authorized technician to come out to look at it. So, I had 3 technicians to tell me what parts I need to replace it. Thermador have given me 50% off the price of the parts. Well I guess the management felt sorry for me since it took over a month to get a Technician out here. So, the technician ask me to order the first two parts which was the wire harness & module control. Well it still didnt work. So I order the 3rd parts; it still didnt work. Then I finally order the 4th part which is the power supply. My oven is still not working! For the fourth time of replacing this parts. This oven is totally curse. This is beyond me. I have never in my life had never run into this kind of problem. Worse than a vehicle. This issue has been going on for 5 months now. Please if someone is reading this or had the same similar incident. I need help!

We purchased a suite of Thermador appliances when we built our new home in Autumn of 2011. This is the THIRD ignition we have had to repair. We were told not to use the self-cleaning option because it causes burnout to the ignition. We have not used it but again the ignitor will not light the convection oven, which is the large side. We bought the oven because we like to entertain and nothing is worse than having a house full of people for dinner and the oven just wont light. The store where we purchased the range says go back to Thermador. Thermador says it is not longer under warranty. Very unsatisfied to have spent such a large amount on an appliance to have it unreliable. Will never buy another Bosch product nor will I recommend to anyone.

My 2-year-old $2,700 glass Thermador cooktop has begun to look like an old wall mirror. The black continues to spread and mar the meticulously maintained surface. It was not an easy decision to buy such an expensive appliance, but I had just remodeled my kitchen and love to cook; so, I splurged. Big mistake with Thermador. It was a process of over a month with continued correspondence. Finally, they agreed to replace the glass, but not to pay for the installation. How absurd! It was no fault of mine that they produced a defective cooktop. I already paid to have it installed when I purchased it! I guess I am keeping my fingers crossed that this one will not need to be replaced and installed again in another two years; furthermore, it took over a month to convince them to at least pay for the glass.I also purchased two Wolf ovens and a Liebherr refrigerator. I had problems with both of them as well, but unlike Thermador, their customer service departments were amazing. The warranties were out of coverage as well, but they stood behind their name and all was immediately replaced and installed at no charge! Stay away from Thermador!!!

First a little background. We own 2 homes and in them we have 3 Bosch dishwashers, 2 Thermador Cooktops and Thermador oven. All purchased new within the last 5 years. So with our one cooktop [$1,530 purchase price] one burner wasnt working and the burner cap had fallen down into the unit. We contacted the local AUTHORIZED Thermador repair center. They came out and said the end caps had fused on due to heat and the cooktop couldnt be taken off to do the repair. They said it would have be drilled out and a new cooktop installed. We then contacted where we had purchased it and they said this was a common problem with Thermador and suggested we contact them. We contacted Thermador and opened a claim. They asked us to get an invoice showing we purchased the cooktop new, verification of the diagnosis by their authorized repair center, and the new cooktop invoice and installation receipt. While I was gathering all of those invoices we received a call back saying they would not do anything to assist us because we hadnt contacted them to see if it could be repaired. In fact we had and contacted their repair center. We hadnt contacted while the problem had occurred. In fact we had and opened the claim the day the repair was being done. We even spoke with a supervisor [Vanessa] who simply said they do not help in these cases. If this is how they treat a customer who had purchased what we had [and all high end products] I cant imagine how they treat everyone else. There will be no Bosch or Thermador going back into our home.

I spent $3629 on a Thermador C272ZS double wall oven in October 2003. It has never worked correctly since that time, despite more than a dozen service calls from factory authorized reps, some in warranty and some since warranty ended. Perpetual F33, F34 and, more recently, F24 error codes. It turns off on its own, the interior lights blink on and off on their own, and now this incessant beeping about an hour after cooking has ended. Interior cooking temp is always off by about 30% verified with oven thermometer. The thing frightens me enough that I turn off the breaker when leaving for more than a day. No one seems to be able to fix it. There are countless complaints about this problem on-line and it seems as though the company should compensate owners. My husband has been very ill the last two years and unable to work, so I dont relish the idea of buying a new oven at this time. I would never ever buy Thermador again.

We have had Thermador products for the past 35 years with a double oven and single in California as well as a stove top. We WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN. This oven cost almost $4,000. The appliance people who diagnosed the problem had a terrible time finding this part. This is not acceptable either. Thermador is not a company that we will recommend to anyone with the outcome of this problem. Their management SUCKS.

We remodeled our kitchen and chose a Thermador stove. Four gas burners, an electric griddle in the middle and the oven. From the start there was a terrible odor like wires burning. The griddle never worked well. A couple months later nothing works except the gas burners!! Have had 5 visits from the appliance repair company in our area and 2 parts replaced, actually 3 as the first one didnt work. Very Very Very slow responses to our problem from this company. Wish we would have purchased a Wolf. Its almost time for snow in MN and the grill outside will not be as convenient. DO NOT PURCHASE THERMADOR, my opinion!

I installed a 5 burner Thermador luxury optioned gas cooktop around 24 months ago. After repeated expensive repairs, scary operating issues and very poor customer support as so many here already reported, this cooktop was slightly modified and plopped into our outdoor poolside entertaining area. At least it couldnt burn anything serious down to the ground out there. Like our house.. The burner ignition problems started after a few months. Followed all the advice in the manuals and from Thermadope call center zombies; tried to arrange service calls, different techs came out several times over the ensuing months and replaced ignition modules and other parts. The appliance just kept failing to operate. After enough frustration, I bought a cheap Chinese gas cooktop that had great reviews and swapped the Thermador clunker out. No problems with cheapo cooktop at all. Ever. Before I chucked the Thermador luxury boat-anchor into the recyling bin, I thought, what the hell, I’ll try to repurpose it. First thing I did was measure the temperature inside the cooktop while a couple of burners were on for about 20 minutes. Incredibly, it was running over 150°C inside where the electronics were located! Even if Thermador used high-temperature military or space grade components, it was still WAY too hot for any electronics to survive in there very long in those conditions. I waved goodbye to any hope of salvaging a normal operating cooktop with a Frankenstein electronics transplant. So, I removed all the cooktop electronics and wiring in a few minutes with some wirecutters, plopped it into the old cooktop opening place by our pool and now use a dollar-store butane igniter to fire up my castrated ‘luxury’ Thermador cooktop. Having it by my pool makes me look a lot richer than I am! ????

This combination steam oven unit is a wonderful idea with a terrible implementation. We have now had a repair person (from Mr. Appliance, who is AMAZING!!) come out 5 times; 4 times to do something about the leaking steam oven. They even had him replace the water bottle because the original design was faulty, but it still leaks. After using the unit about 20 minutes, water leaks out the bottom of the oven and drips onto the control panel of the warming drawer, which then shorts out. They have had to replace the control panel on the warming drawer twice. I called Thermador again to get the unit replaced. I had to send my original sales receipt (even though they already have it because I registered the product right after it was installed) and technician invoices from the repairs (even though the repair technician calls them every time to get their help to resolve the problem). After a couple of days, I get an email back saying they have made a decision, but they cannot relay the results of their decision via phone or email, so I call customer service and have to wait in the regular queue...after finally getting someone, I am told there is nothing in the file. I read her the email that was sent, she put me on hold again for probably at least 5 minutes and came back saying they made a decision that the unit works properly; even after I submitted the diagnosis from the repair tech showing that the unit is not working. The technician was out again today and took pictures and sent them to Thermador to hopefully get this unit replaced. After spending 28 minutes on the phone, I learned that they were not going to honor their warranty based on my request and now that the technician sent them pictures, it was being escalated to management for a review. The customer service person told me it would be another 24-48 hours until they make a decision. Will update when we hear.

Our Thermador range needed parts and now we are finding out Thermador does not keep parts past 7 years. Apparently they dont expect their products to last more than 7 years or they just force their customers to have to buy another expensive item to replace it. Thermador should be ashamed of themselves and customers need to seriously think about purchasing a product they can not service after 7 years! We learned the hard way and now have to reinvest $12,000 for a range!

My Thermador dual-fuel range has never worked properly. The oven will not heat at the same time as the griddle, despite repeated service calls. For the second time, the oven will not heat above 200 degrees. Today, I was stood up by their authorized service dealer, Appliance Masters. I took off a half day of work but just received their message saying they cant come during that time.

I would give zero stars if I could. Ive had the microwave oven combo - professional series for less than a year. From day one, the tray inside the microwave unit squeaked as it rotated. The tech came three times to repair a faulty bolt before finally replacing it after three months. It has now been 7 months since we received a replacement microwave oven and as of this morning were suddenly unable to open the microwave oven door! Its been one thing after another.

VERY similar story to others Ive read on the site. My 6000.00 stove had a bad simmer switch which resulted in us turning off the breaker until the service dept. from THEIR DEALER could come out and fix it for 176.00 (Oh, the stove was 2 years, 3 months old so 3 months past the warranty)... now THERMADOR will not reimburse because we had it fixed before they could make a determination?! We also have the very expensive dishwasher that seems to have a hinge breaking after one year installed... very disappointing when you believe you are buying quality.

We purchased a Thermador oven 2 years ago and it hasnt been working properly from the very beginning. We have gotten gas smell coming from the oven. Thermador has either come out to fix it or sent a subcontractor to fix it now 3 times. Each time the technicians instruments register an of gas. The technicians suggestions range from altering the settings inside to replacing parts to replacing the oven door. It originally took 3 attempts to install it properly. When first being installed, the hood was attached partially to my ceiling but the installers informed me that it wasnt their job to install the exhaust hood. Why would I need to contact Thermador specifically to have the hood installed, when I obviously purchased both? Last week I noticed the gas smell again as I was cooking bacon in the oven. I took the bacon out and clearly half the bacon was cooked and the other half was very underdone. The next day was Thanksgiving and the same happened with the turkey. I took photos, one leg was still bloody and rawish looking while the other leg was completely done. Plus there was a strong gas odor so I know something wasnt igniting in the oven again. This has been going on since we purchased the oven. I called technical support and they informed me they couldnt get a repair person out until January, and its November right now. The thing has never worked properly, they have some nerve telling me they cant come out and fix it until January. So they gave me the number of the subcontractor they refer people to and I called them several days ago. I had to leave a message. The next day I received a call that my information would be sent to the technician who would call me to schedule and I have not as of yet heard back, 3 days later. I will absolutely never deal with this company again.

Bought the Freedom Induction Cooktop 7 years ago. First broke down two months out of 3 year warranty then again at seven year mark. Customer support was extremely poor. Thermador Serviceman said he had never been trained on the stove and didn’t know what to do. Both times it was the main module that went. First repair was over $600 and this repair would have been Over $1400. Customer service would not tell me whether a new part would have been modified to fix the obvious problem (as written up all over the internet). We chosen to pursue our FREEDOM from THERMACRAP and choose to INDUCT them into the Hall of Poor Quality and Customer Support. We have had much better success with KitchenAid.
