Product Reviews:

We're contractors who do high-end kitchen and bathroom remodeling and we used Viking on projects. We were going to get a Thermador for the price difference, but the Viking rep thought it would be beneficial to their company to give us a heck of a deal on their product to put the Viking in. In the end, it came in the same price as the Thermador. Plus the Viking dealer was perfect and the rep was super, so we went with them. But there were a couple of drawbacks. Viking used these drill bit screws that stripped if you tighten them too much. So the door has a couple of stripped screws and it rattles too, so I replaced them with larger sheet metal screws. So one of the people in the assembly line overtightened and it's stupid. It's nothing I can't fix, but for its value, I shouldn't have to. Viking is made in Mississippi and it's very important to me it's made in the US. But I'm shocked that Viking uses a Broan motor. The motor in ours was brand new but it lasted only 10 minutes and I'm still waiting for the replacement. If I had known Viking had a Broan motor, I wouldn't have bought it. The quality of Viking over Thermador is really nice but Broan motors are garbage. Also, the only thing we've used is the burners, but we're still waiting for the guy to adjust them. My wife likes the little window in the range, though.Viking looks beautiful and I know the issue with the parts is going to get taken care of but it's been a long time. I called the dealer and I asked where the parts were at. He told me it was kind of difficult. If I was Viking, I'd get the customer a new motor and ask him not to slam us. In our line of work, we deal with all these high end people and Thermador knocks the teeth out of Viking for sales.

I never imagined that a microwave in my new home would be rendered useless after 2.5 years. Like many of you, my control panel stopped working and the floor of the oven was extremely hot to touch. Here's the weird part. You can hit the number for timed cook, but you'd have to let it heat the entire time. If you open the door, you cannot restart it. You have to unplug it to reset. Of course, I called GE customer service, who gave me the same spiel about $80 service call, plus repair and parts. Thanks to your candid remarks, I will not be purchasing another GE appliance.

Major issue: EASY CLEAN is not. There is no self clean feature which seems unbelievable in a $775 range. We like others (we with two new knees) used the easy clean three times exactly how suggested in Manual. Also after 2 phone calls (and later 3 emails) was told to bake at 375 degrees with water (like in easy clean method). Later told to try mixing vinegar and baking soda. NO luck. If I may also mention setting the timer to either bake start/stop or to simply use the timer usually turns oven off. Not sure how to overcome or understand that process. There are a few other suggestions but if only the oven would get clean we could use the oven w uncovered dishes, steaks, etc.

My 3 years old Viking oven start acting up. First the broiler quit working. The igniter try to light up but no flame. Now the oven is temperamental, sometimes it will work, sometimes doesn't want to work. For a three years old oven it should not be doing this. Feeling frustrated. Spend a lot of money for a lousy quality oven. Trying troubleshooting the problem but all result fails. This should be simple to fix. There is not much electronic that goes with this oven. Just switch, gas line, igniter & thermostat...what else is there.

I will never purchase GE appliances again, have trouble with refrigerator/stove & dishwasher. Dishwasher is so loud that you can't be in the kitchen when it's on so I only use it at night. It doesn't clean good & everything about it is wrong!

I am not very happy with Viking Refrigerators. They are not at the level that I thought they were like Wolf appliances. It definitely compares with Maytag and KitchenAid and in that range, I think Viking's one of the ones that I would definitely go for. But price-wise, it is slightly expensive. They are also pretty small refrigerators. I wanted the 44-inch and has more options to choose but I did not see many so I finally ended up with the 36-inch ones. Although, it's doing what a fridge is supposed to do and I think that's the minimum we expect to see. I like the compartment arrangement even though the rack arrangement in the lower compartment is small. It's also very noisy and I like to see a quieter appliance than what I have.

I have had a Viking gas oven that has had the same recurring issue since it was brand new, 3 1/2 years ago. The oven heats up but then fails to reignite, causing the oven to lose temperature. Viking service providers have put band-aids on this issue 3 times, the latest 4 months ago. These have helped for a short period of time, but eventually have all failed. When I called Viking today to let them know that the issue is happening again, neither Viking (nor the service provider) would stand behind the product or the work that was done to fix it. The customer care department told me that I would need to pay for the service, and then Viking would decide whether or not it was a quality issue. They would not escalate the issue to a supervisor, claiming that there was no such person. I am writing the review here in the effort to get some resolution.

We went to Best Buy and we decided to buy a Viking refrigerator as I had heard that it was the best product in the market. We've also had a Viking stove for 10 years. However, the refrigerator we got stopped working one day. It was not freezing. I called Viking and they sent me a company to do the service. They needed a part as there was something wrong with the motor. Now we’re still waiting for that part. So far, we haven't had good experiences with the equipment we bought from Viking. The dishwasher we got was a problem also. Now I have to pay $500 because the motor went bad.

After using the self-clean option on our Kitchen Aid range, the oven door locked, the oven could not be turned off or regulated, and an indicator light for the "probe" was on the display screen. Due to the inability to turn off the oven, we've had to unplug the unit, not use the oven, and light the stove top with a lighter. I've read numerous complaints on the internet regarding this product and am applaud that KitchenAid has not recalled this item. Agreeing to replace a part through 2010 and not pay for the service call in unacceptable. We did not use the self-clean option until this year (2011) and had no reason to question the product prior. It is a very dangerous issue. KitchenAid needs to rectify this immediately.

We had this oven range delivered in early December 2019. By Dec 26, the inside top oven enamel had shattered. After some long phone calls and declined offers of $150 cash back on a $2,000 oven, we were approved for a full replacement. The replacement oven was delivered on January 18, 2020. On February 1st, 2020, the oven enamel shattered again. The oven was used a handful of times, never over 400 degrees F. Enamel could have easily gotten into my food while cooking. Kitchenaid should look out for a lawsuit for knowingly selling defective ranges. Unfortunately we bought a whole line of Kitchenaid appliances because we wanted them all to match in our kitchen. I am requesting a refund and will not be purchasing Kitchenaid.
