We have had our stove oven and microwave combo since January 2015. And in that short time our oven has broken 2 times and microwave just broke! It’s less than 3 years old!!! What happened to those stove and ovens we had for 8-10 years before they showed any distress?!! The numbers and info on the stove wiped off years ago, and now we GUESS what burner we are using and at what temp. Worst brand ever! Worst stove set we ever bought! Wish we did our homework and seen these bad reviews first.

Maytag stove MGR7662WW - I purchased this stove about 4 years ago. Now, the stove will not light. I called in to Maytag only to be told I must pay a service fee or purchase a repair manual. It’s very strange. My old Kenmore lasted 22 years and here I thought Maytag would at least last 10 years less than half the life of my old stove, realizing products today are not what they used to be. Maytag, the dependability people, I guess that old Maytag commercial where the Maytag repairman is so bored claiming no one needs service for a Maytag product is really false advertising. Buy American products; I’m not really sure who is the current country who is home to the great Maytag corporation. I guess me and my wife will spend another $700 on another brand stove and try this process all over again, hopefully not again in approx 4 years.

I have several LG appliances, all have had numerous issues. The refrigerator - drawers crack easily, door shelves snap under basic load (the shelf for milk broke off with just milk in it). The range - front panel cracked due to heat (ON A RANGE!!!!). The Dryer - the drum cracked to the point where clothes can probably get through. I contacted support about all of these, and they simply parroted the 1 year parts & labour mantra. Save yourself some money and DO NOT BUY LG.

I have used Vikings many times in many homes in the past. I liked the way it functions, and it cooked even. I liked the way it looks, too. It is built well. The range tops and the ranges seem sturdy. I had a conversation with the regional Viking manager. Her name is Sue, local in Sonoma or Marin County. She was very helpful and very compassionate about our issues. As a result, she sent out a second technician to try to troubleshoot what we felt was the problem. They kept insisting that this was just how the Viking refrigerator sounded and sort of that was that.It would be nice if the knobs didn’t stick out so far on the rim. There is about a 4-inch piece of metal on the top that sticks out, so, aesthetically, it would be nicer if it fit back into the counter depth. Also, it would be nice if they manufactured some sort of a piece out of the stainless steel to go with the oven that fits in the crack behind the oven. I know that these ranges don’t all flushed to the wall because you have to have enough room for the plug to go into the outlet and enough room to attach the gas hose. So, it forces the range to stick out even a little further, then it creates a one to two inches behind where you are cooking. So, things can spill or splatter or go down in that hole. I could not get any help from anybody on that. We had to make something ourselves. They have a thing that they put underneath the front of the range to cover the gap where the legs are. They made something for that.

Our new LG model 6323S electric range needed gating used to. Something to consider, LG designers didn't think of the 220 connection at the rear of the range. Unlike my old range, the back cover did not go all the way to the floor, leaving twelve inches clear and unobstructed access to the underside from the rear of the range, this allowed plenty of room for the electrical connection and allowed the heavy wiring to slide under the rear of the appliance and further allowing the range to go all the way back flush against the wall. With this new range, the full rear back cover completely prevent access to the void under the range, there is no room allowing clearance for the connection and storage for the excess heavy wiring, causing the range to stick out from the wall over three inches looking out of place and giving room for items to fall behind the stove. I'm strongly contemplating getting rid of this LG range. When purchasing a new range, who would think of such an issue? Won't do the same mistake again.

We bought the Maytag Aqualift cooktop about a year ago & are continuously dissatisfied with it, for several reasons: 1) the cooktop is a huge nuisance to cook on. The burners are either raging hot (causing boil-overs), or too cool to simmer. The boil-overs then require much cleaning with an expensive cleaning agent. 2) the oven, whether you use regular or convection, underheats - so you can’t tell how long the cooking or baking process will take, & you have to monitor the cooking process. 3) the so-called self-clean is a joke; the oven will not be clean unless you crawl inside & clean it manually. Overall, I’d prefer to toss this range in the trash. I’m a good cook, but I get angry every time I use this expensive, poorly- designed product.

People say that Viking Ranges have good stoves and cooktops. I'd say it's high quality and I'm happy so far. The simmer feature is nice, it heats up very quickly. One thing that I'm not satisfied about is that I don't have that option of a griller anymore. Now it's just a griddle, and I don't like it. But, beyond that, performance and everything else, I'm very happy.

My Viking range has been a good investment so far for me. We've had it since last summer and it's a great range. I like it a lot. It’s very efficient and the oven heats really quick. It’s solid too. I like the fact that it’s like a commercial range, so it gets really hot. But when you put it on the low setting, it’s not very low ‘cause it’s got pretty big burners. The only thing that’s odd is when I’m closing the oven door the enamel is chipping off of it ‘cause there’s this piece that sticks out. Otherwise, the quality is good.

We moved into a new house and we got an upgraded stove from the builder’s stove and it was falling apart. The knobs were falling off and one couldn’t control the height of the flame so that got me looking for another stove. My wife’s sister purchased a Viking Range a couple of months ago and I also decided to buy one. We had some problems about purchasing in the beginning but it all worked out. My wife loves our 36-inch Viking Range. I feel good that it’s in the house and it gives some class to the kitchen. I would recommend Viking Ranges.

I am aware of the Viking name, and quality made me purchase from them over others. I’ve been very pleased with the performance of the unit. The four burners are very fast to ignite. The range has met my expectations, with one exception having to do with the temperature of the oven not being accurate. If you set it to 350 degrees, it is not 350 degrees. It’s actually around 325 degrees. Viking ranges are very nice, not necessarily all of them, but we’re very happy with the style and appearance of the Series 3 model. We purchased it online and it was easy to navigate the website.
