Buy LG Microwave MVEL2137F
We bought new LG 13 kg washer. Its damaging clothes to tear and so far 30 clothes damaged, we send pictures but idiots dont shows interest to solve problems completely. They send technician and says its perfect as it not live issue. Trying to charge 200$ to fix instead its in warranty. LG you cheap on your service, Samsung is better.
I purchased LG wash machine model WT-1501CW in 2016. The wash plate started to pop up. When I removed it, I noticed the groves were plastic and the agitator was metal which caused it to wear down. I ordered the part online for $60. When I tried to replace it, the agitator bearing was welded to the transmission shaft so it was IMPOSSIBLE to remove. I called LG and they referred me to an LG authorized repair company. The repair company come out and CONFIRMED that the agitator bearing was welded to the transmission shaft and there is no way to repair. The appliance repair company and I have both reached out to LG several times. We are both receiving the run around. This is clearly a factory defect. I am going on three weeks without any assistance from LG on how they will rectify THEIR faulty machine.
We bought a new front loader LG WM3670H just a couple of months ago after our 13 year old front loader Kenmore (an amazing washer!) shot its bearings. The LG machine is only good for washing dust off your clothes. Will not wash anything heavier than that and leaves tons of lint all over your clothes... I am super frustrated because I am now washing lots of things in hand after they have been through the supposed wash. I use heavy soil and warm water setting and it is not sufficient for average towels or kids’ clothing.
Ive had it one week. DO NOT LIKE. Ive used several times for one load (not large, not small, regular size load). Things are NOT clean at all. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Ive done everything right. The dryer I had went out. I bought a dryer and matching washing machine. The clothes smell bad, have lint on them before they get in the dryer, stains wont come out even with Clorox. I am going to call the store and the company Monday.
This microwave is really a nice item to have and is very easy to use. All the items you can use in a microwave is overwhelming and a welcome use to the kitchen from melting butter to making a bake potato in a microwave. Great cooking item.
We brought a LMXS30776S30.0 Cu. Ft. Stainless Steel French Door Refrigerator, for $5000 + 3 warranty. As soon as the warranty was over the refrigerator went out... The open window to renew the warranty was maybe a month... I guess they know how cheap their products are to only give us a couple of weeks to renew the warranty. I only wished that I had read the reviews before I brought their cheaply made refrigerator. Now I’m stuck with a big piece of junk. According to the other reviews, if I fix it...it will break down again???
Well my washer (LG wt5001cw) started making a grinding and whining noise after owning if for 2 and half years and come to find out my repairman tells me it cant be fixed and its time for a new one. Really it is not fixable? So if your washer has these issues and its this model number good luck. I also have emailed LG a letter and let them know I wont be spending anymore of my hard earned money on their products. At least they dont make any life saving devices I hope. Please do not buy their products. My repairman said that this is common with their products and they are only made to last about 3 years. He sees it everyday.
It has almost too many settings to make it user friendly. The moldy smell does not exist like it did with my Whirlpool front loader. It washes very quietly as long as you evenly load it. The dryer is much more complicated to use.
After more than 6 non-productive service calls to my pristine LG washer, which was shutting down as a result or a false error code, I sent the following to the head of LG in the US and copied the conglomerates CEO. Nearly two months later, we have not had the courtesy of a reply from this unresponsive, arrogant, incompetent and corrupt company.I am writing directly to you in order to allow LG Electronics the opportunity to rectify a situation involving a washing machine, which has been deemed unrepairable by both an LG-certified repair service company and by your customer service organization, which refuses to offer equitable assistance in resolving the problem. Please note the washing machine is in good condition, not significantly worn, functions very well half of the time, and then shuts down showing a false error message. In brief, the machine in question produces an error code and stops mid-cycle. After more than six service calls, replacement of several parts including the same parts multiple times, and numerous calls to the LG help desk, your authorized service technician declared the machine unrepairable and looked to LG for further guidance or, in the absence of guidance, an offer from LG to replace the machine since it is not repairable and well within what should be its useful life span. LG has refused because the machine, purchased in 2005, is out of warranty.Mr. Cho, understand we are not seeking a free repair. We fully expect to pay for a repair on a machine that while out of warranty is still well within its useful life cycle. However LG has failed to produce an appliance which, when inexplicably logically shuts down, can be repaired by LG authorized service. As a result, we are forced to replace the appliance very prematurely. If you will not replace the appliance, then we request that you provide instruction on how a technician may bypass the board that is producing the erroneous fault code that is shutting down the machine mid-cycle. These good faith solutions are only reasonable. In addition, and as a consequence of LGs failure to produce a machine which can be repaired, we have incurred expenses for sending laundry out to be done. While at this time we are not seeking reimbursement from you for these costs, which are now well over $1,000, we will not hesitate to include them in any legal action which we are forced to take against LG should LG refuse to act in good faith and choose to ignore our reasonable request. Such action may include, but not be limited to, commencement of a consumer fraud action against LG under M.GL 93 A, which provides for treble damages and attorneys fees.Interestingly, from a non-exhaustive online search, we have learned that LG routinely refuses assistance to consumers with out-of-warranty machines, which are still within their useful life but cannot be repaired, because LG maintains the appliances are not intended to last. We therefore believe it would not be a difficult task to win class action status for any action taken against LG for intentional defects in its laundry appliances. In addition we will not hesitate to refer this case to the attorney general of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.Mr. Cho, you should know that I was an early and loud proponent of your products and installed them in the laundry rooms of three estates and on my yacht as well. I did this despite the warnings of others that LG was merely the new incarnation of a Korean brand known for shoddy products, Goldstar and Lucky Goldstar. Now, it appears, your detractors were right and LG is interested only in volume sales and not in customer satisfaction or customer loyalty.Mr. Cho, I do hope we can resolve this problem amicably and without legal action or publicity. However, please do not underestimate my resolve. As the founder and former CEO of a multibillion-dollar company, I well understand the difference between good faith effort and fraud. I am hopeful this situation is the former and not the latter. I am a consumer of means and I will not hesitate to pursue my claims against LG. I look forward to hearing back from you.
14-month-old drain hose ruptured, service call repair at my costs. A year later drain pump burned out and ruined many clothes as they mildewed and that smell does not come out. Now another year later, washer just continues to fill with water, tried to turn power off with power button but power would just keep turning itself back on, even with power secured water kept coming. Had to shut off water supply, costing more than this washer is worth. Could have bought cheap washer for the cost of repairs and been ahead. Washer not worth the money or cost of repairs with continual breakdowns. You are welcome to contact me. Thank you.
Since April 10 my refrigerator problem has not been fixed. Tech visited five times in four weeks for repair work. According to engineering dept of LG, this refrigerator can not be fixed. This refrigerator was purchased in August 2015. I have lost food twice approximately value $400. I have NINE people living in this house and have NO refrigerator for two months. As per LG’s request Original purchase receipt has been submitted twice. Is it normal?
This machine works great. The controls are versatile enabling the proper heating method for a wide variety of foods yet are simple and easy to use. Its stainless steel which looks great and is large enough to accept a medium size pizza and still compact enough for our countertop. It has a built-in toaster which is a plus that also saves counter space. Im very happy with this microwave.
I am very disappointed with your washing machine model WT1101C. I have tried to contact any one from LG with no successes!! I will NEVER buy anything from you again that is for sure ... just junk after only ONE year of owning. Shame on you!! I have now bought a Maytag. You will never get my business again and I will spread the word believe me!! You suck!!!!!!
This is an expensive refrigerator, and it looks nice. BUT... the compressor wears out easily and makes a horrible loud vibrating/buzzing noise that drowns out conversation in the kitchen. After the first time it fails, LG charges hundreds of dollars to replace the warrantied part (service isnt covered) and then when the darn thing starts vibrating like crazy again just weeks after they fix it, they want hundreds of dollars to come out to replace the part again. And theyre rude about it.
We remodeled our house a little over two years ago, and my wife bought new LG appliances for the kitchen including a dishwasher, electric cook top range, microwave and refrigerator. I like the fact that when you get water out of the refrigerator door, it comes out fast. When it went out, it took almost two weeks to get done, and that’s the only complaint I have. We’re retired and we can’t afford to go out every meal, so we lived out of coolers and one small hundred-dollar refrigerator for a month. When the repairman brought the compressor in, he informed us that he puts a lot of compressors into LGs. In fact, he finished up with us at 8:00 in the evening he was here, and he went on to do another one before he went home.
We purchased an LG French door fridge, stove and microwave in April 2016, by August 2016 the fridge no longer worked. We have been living out of coolers constantly having to buy ice for the past month. Spending lots of money eating out because I cant go grocery shopping. 2 techs have been out for repair, but have yet to fix the compressor which they both say is out. It is now September 2016 and I still have no working fridge. We paid $2583.50 for a fridge that lasted 4 months. After reading other peoples experiences here I now know that I have wasted a big amount of my money as I have had the same experience with Lg customer service. Long waits on the phone, no type of care or concern about having a customer fridge less for a month now, even after I told them we have a son whos medication must be refrigerated. No compensation offered whatsoever. None given when requested either. Their customer service line is horrible. They do not care about their customers at all.I have never reviewed any product because I have never had the need to do so. Everything always works just as promised. We had our previous fridge 12 years without a single repair made to it (kenmore) only replaced to this LG because kitchen was remodeled and wanted a new look. BIG MISTAKE - we made with our choice. Do NOT waste your money. LG products are NO good. Stay away.
I purchased an LG Washer and Dryer a year ago. After reading all the complaints, I think I am lucky. I just hope I dont experience the problems others have. My problem is cosmetic. l love the washer but the lip on the washer is disintegrating. I contacted LG with pictures and was told that the product was not defective. They blamed it on customer abuse.
I gave it 18 months of aggravation washing... I do not see how bumping the clothes around in limited water will get my clothes clean. I use the extra rinse button and my clothes still smell of BO, stains are still there. I am tired of ranting about the washer EVERY TIME I use it... I do not get how they think clothes will come clean with this system. I HATE IT. I HATE IT.
My wife and I purchased an LG refrigerator a couple of month ago (model: LFXS28968). Roughly, two weeks ago we got a code on the digital display screen indicating dH (Freezer) and F (refrigerator). I called in a repair request to your service department (the unit was still under warranty) and sent the service department both a sales receipt and a purchase order from the stored it was bought. They scheduled a service technician to come out to look at the unit. He never came to look at the unit but said he would order the part due to the nature of the display screen read out. He also told me that if the service department did not call me within three days I would be entitled to a new unit (I guess beyond that time the food would begin to spoil). After not hearing from anyone for the past three days I tried to get in touch with the technician at least five times by both cell phone and text messaging. Absolutely no response. Then, I called the service department which was no help at all. They could not get in touch with the technician nor could they trace the part which they claimed they ordered. They said they would look into it and get back in touch with me. Guess what? they never got back in touch with me. Then I had to get in touch with a supervisor who still could not reach the technician nor trace the supposed part. The next day I spoke to a different supervisor who again could not get in touch with the technician nor located the part. The next day I called and wanted to speak to a manager from the LG Corporation. Instead I spoke to another supervisor who indicated the part was ordered from Korean and was on its way.I asked her what kind of compensation would I receive for all of spoiled food (both the refrigerator and freezer). I received a mere $150.00. Instead LG could have resolved the problem by supplying me with a new unit within the three day time frame. They decided to prolong the problem and that stretched into two weeks. This has been one of the most frustrating situations I have ever been involved in. The level of incompetence, and lack of empathy towards their customers is incomprehensible. Seldom do I write reviews but this is an exception. I hope anyone who may be thinking of purchasing a LG refrigerator will do their homework on the LG brand. I will never purchase another LG product nor will I recommend this product to any of my friends.
Our LG microwave went out within months. LG refuses to repair or replace (THATS WHAT WARRANTY PROMISES) - only offers ORIGNAL WHOLESALE price paid by our designer, no shipping, NOT WHAT IT WILL COST US TO REPLACE even though we explained multiple times that the price was not what came out of our pocket (because of designer add-on) and not what the model costs now with inflation. We custom cut and trimmed for that microwave. We will be out $100 plus to replace it.
We purchased an LG high-efficiency washer several years ago and have had the same problems described by others. The washing machine smells of mildew often and I tried to control it by running empty cycles with bleach and also empty baking soda loads. The baking soda sometimes does not completely come out of the detergent drawer and we then have to do another rinse cycle. Another problem is it stains on our clothes. They appear randomly and we are unable to remove them. It has been very expensive and time-consuming to run extra empty loads to try and keep the washer clean, get rid of the smell and hopefully get rid of whatever is causing the stains. The biggest expense for us has been the ruined clothes. This is a never-ending problem and the only solution is purchasing a new washer that works properly! This LG has been an incredible money pit and disappointment!
The LG microwave we purchased went out on us after we cooked the first potato. We had the LG microwave no longer than 2 weeks and had troubles. After working with LG for almost a month to have them fix the microwave LG blames A&E and A&E says there is nothing they can do without LGs approval. This went on numerous times and 3 appointments with the tech. so no microwave for Thanksgiving. Now No microwave for Christmas. Warning for whom is interested in this product that buyer beware! Our Sears Technician said that this microwave seems to go out quickly. I am a General contractor and have been building homes for over 19 years. This has been the worst experience I have ever had. Sincerely, Curt with Nail it Down Construction
Our daughter and son-in-law purchased a LG french door fridge six years ago. Love the french door... but... after about 1-1/2 years... maybe 2... the fridge went out. My husband pulled the panel off the back and found a fuse blown. Cant order just a fuse? What? Had to order a whole new circuit board... $$$. So we took burnt fuse out and went to local hardware and purchased one as close as we could. Installed and waalaa it worked again. Now, it happened again so we showed our daughter and son-in-law how to change the fuse and keep the wires clean... The fridge goes out about once a year but wow does it save them a ton of money being able to fix themselves. And the fridge works just fine! GOOD LUCK!
After 4 1/2 years, after buying 4 matching stainless steel appliances for the new home, my refrigerator started making loud noises, like an airplane landing. We knew it was a problem, but didnt have a real sense of urgency because the fridge was still cooling; figured wed attend to it when we had time. Then it began cooling inconsistently. Then it finally crapped out. We called customer service and they had us contact the approved list of repair companies. I took the day off, had the repairman look at the fridge (and I do mean LOOK AT it, as he didnt have the parts on hand), and was told it was the compressor that failed and the work would cost over $1000! The part was covered under our 5 yr warranty, but the work was about the cost of a new fridge and wasnt covered. So, the $200-300 part is covered but the $1000 work to install isnt? Gee, thanks, LG!After looking at what a new comparable one would cost, we couldnt find one and came to the disappointing decision to just go with the repair. The repairman was very nice and said this isnt the first hes seen and doubts itll be the last. So VERY disappointed in LG for making such a flimsy, unreliable product! I was a big fan of LG previously - having had a TV, Blu-ray disc player, etc. - and had NO problems, so I thought that competency would apply to all their products. Very wrong and very disappointed.
I called the LG 1-800-243-0000 number and was told there would be a $75 service charge plus parts and labor. I purchased my Window A/C unit on 9/14/09. I cannot put my energy saver on mode as the unit freezes over, then I have to turn it off, all the water runs in the floor when it defrosted and I have to mop all the water up. When I called that number, your rep tech told me I needed to run the A/C on 82 degrees. Well if that is the case, no need for A/C as some nights it is 82 degrees here. He was very rude, told me I needed to clean my filter every week, and I clean it every three months. He also told me my unit did not have energy saver and I was standing in front of my A/C reading all the functions with all the controls on it. He had no clue what I was talking about. I will never buy another LG product as long as I live. It was the worst conversation I had ever had with a rep. He did not know what he was talking about. He was rude and disrespectful. I called on July 26, 2011, around 8 or 8:15 p.m. I am very dissatisfied and I will tell my friends that LG has the most unsatisfactory service that I have been exposed to! I will further seek and find a name brand that will stand behind their product, and have faith in their warranty.
Updated 08/15/2019: I posted my original review of my LG refrigerator, but wanted to correct the model number. It is a Model LMXS30746S/00 instead of Model LMXS30776S. My wife ordered the latter originally, but it was on backorder (From LG, no surprise, right!). After waiting over a month for it to arrive, my wife decided to go with the LMXS30746S/00 instead. We received this refrigerator January 9, 2015. -As of August 15, 2019, I still have a non-working refrigerator, with a defective linear compressor. My original review of my refrigerator was on July 2, 2019. LG responded in writing, and other than a few phone conversations, of the which most were initiated by me, that is pretty much all this company has done to date. -On July 10, 2019, LG informed me that a technician was scheduled to look at my unit July 18, 2019. No technician, no courtesy call, no surprise. At the end of the day (still July 18th), I notified LG, and on July 30, 2019, they informed me that they were considering an alternate resolution. At that point, LG requested proof of purchase, which was provided a few days afterwards. LG responded August 5, 2019, and said my case was escalated to their Return Authorizations Department and informed me that instead of awaiting repair, they were going to go the alternate resolution route. LG informed me that someone should contact me from the Return Authorization Department within 4 business days. -On August 8, 2019, I received a call from a family member to inform me that a representative from A&E, LGs repair group, had contacted her about the refrigerator. I placed a call to A&E to no avail. I then called the Return Authorization Department. I was informed that they were still awaiting approval for the alternate resolution. She had no idea why anyone from A&E was trying to reach me. -Later on August 8, 2019, I received a call from LG informing me that a technician was scheduled to come look at my refrigerator on August 9, 2019. I was told this was a necessary step in the alternate resolution process. -August 9th came and went, and once again, no technician showed, no technician called. We did get a text of from A&E this same evening stating our appointment was rescheduled for August 19, 2019. No apology or explanation for the missed appointment though.-On Monday, August 12, 2019, I called LGs Return Authorization Department. I informed the representative about the missed appointment. She informed me that my case was still awaiting approval. The person responsible for making such decisions was away from the office, so she left a note and said she would get back with me to provide an update. As of 3:00 PM, I am in a holding pattern awaiting that call. Most likely, I will end up calling LG back. Original review 07/02/2019: I purchased an LG French Door refrigerator in 2014. In 2017, it stopped cooling, due to a noisy/failed Linear Compressor. Trying to hold LG up to their 10 Year Sealed System Warranty, which includes the compressor was/is a joke. I dont recall ever wasting as much time and getting the runaround on any product I ever purchased. I was first told that LG was going to take care of my issue, including labor, at no charge. I was given the name and phone number of the company that was to perform the work. After going a few weeks with no contact from this company, I called them. It was listed as a computer repair business, and all I ever got was an answering machine. I contacted LG again several times, expressing my dissatisfaction with the whole issue and the delay in having my issue resolved. Someone finally sent me a list of 5 repair companies and told me to reach out and choose one to repair the fridge. Well, I called 3 of the numbers, reached a voice mail for one, and spoke to representatives at two of the others. In both cases, the persons I spoke to said that they were not trained or authorized to work on LG Sealed Systems. At this point, I was really ticked off. How can a company that on the outside appear so great, be so badly run. Not only did I have a product that was worthless in its present state, but in the process of getting it repaired, find that this company doesnt even know who is authorized to make necessary repairs. I contacted the Marylands Attorney Generals Office to see if they could help me. They sent a few letters to LG, and LG responded, saying that they offered to supply a replacement compressor (which were drastically back-ordered due to their high failure rate), but that I did not accept their offer. LG said nothing about covering the labor for replacing said compressor as they said they would do at the beginning of my ordeal. Marylands Attorney Generals Office said my only recourse would be small claims court. Well, I thought I was ticked off before, but I discovered that I had another gear. I contacted LG once again, and expressed my frustration. I was finally connected to the group that handles technical issues. When I told the person where the refrigerator was, he told me LG did not have anyone nearby whom could fix it. I asked, how can LG put a warranty on something, knowing full well they did not have personnel who could make necessary repairs. The person told me that LG had personnel available to make warranty repairs on items, including appliances, just not in cases like mine. The LG refrigerator is in my garage, taking up space, at least until I build up enough energy to figure out what I am going to do with it. Through this whole ordeal, I have developed a disdain for The LG brand. I am not sure if this compressor issue, which has affected thousands of LG refrigerators, is being mishandled at the direction of upper management at the risk of cutting into profits, or if employees interfacing with customers like myself, are not following LGs we care for our customers slogan. LG - Life is Good, when you can treat people so bad and still rake in profits.
I bought this LG gas range last November at Home Depot. (And they knew nothing at all about the flaws in the range.) To begin, there was a problem with the gas not turning on quickly enough, causing some gas to leak out, and a repairman came and fixed it. It required a part that had to be ordered, and I couldn’t use the range for a few days. But there are two other big problems I have had. First, the easy clean feature. It doesn’t work. At all. And it is a pain to use anyway—filling the indented compartment in the bottom of the oven! Doesn’t do anything, and then you have to extract the water by hand from the oven floor. They say not to use oven cleaners, etc. as it can ruin the oven walls. Which leaves no real choices. A man who came to put in a new dishwasher told me I could use something like Soft Scrub. I haven’t tried it yet. I am 73 years old, and I am too old to have to get on my hands and knees and clean an oven.Second problem: when the oven is on, air blows out from the oven, but instead of coming out the front, it comes out the back. The air flow is directed toward the burners and usually blows them out. If you don’t stay right with it, you have a major gas leak problem. I have had to put up barriers in front of the air flow vents to keep this from happening. I would never walk away from the stove if I use the oven and cook on the burners at the same time. This might be the worst appliance I have ever purchased. I would never ever buy another lg appliance. The leaking gas is a major safety concern. The company had to know the easy clean feature doesn’t work. And when I told the repairman this, he said maybe I should have done better research before I purchased it. Wonderful customer service. I would like to give no stars...
The gas oven went on the fritz 2 years in- took apart, tapped on the ignitor tube and started working again. Stopped once after using broiler - got it going again by tapping on igniter. Learned to not use broiler but now oven and broiler both stopped today. Very pretty stove and worked great for 2 years. Not happy.
Compressor failure on a 18 month old $3800 LG refrigerator. We purchased what we thought was a top of the line highly rated refrigerator. After less than 18 months the compressor failed. LG gave me an authorization and local authorized service centers, each one telling me that the compressor (10 year warranty) must come from LG and there is a 4 month backorder and they wouldnt want to do it, because LG doesnt pay them for their time. I found the LG indicated upgrade compressor online and a service tech, $900+ out of pocket for parts and labor. LG offered $650 for parts, labor and food loss and then called me and rudely reneged. This is not an isolated incident, from my investigation, there are thousands of LG customers with the same problems. There is talk of a class action lawsuit.
Purchased French door LG refrigerator in July 2016 from Home Depot. Freezer not freezing ice cream products. Worked with LG customer service and problem not solved. Ask for tech to be sent out. Told it would cost $325.00 to have tech sent out. I paid good money for this fridge. Not going to spend any more. 14 months and freezer will not freeze ice cream. After reading all the complaints on LG sorry I ever bought this junk. Beware.
I go on and with all the problems I have had with this fridge from one month after I got it and all the food that I have lost and LG wont do nothing about it. Especially now that it is off of warranty. It first started with the ice maker and then the fans that keep going out in the freezer and you would have to turn the numbers and it would end up freezing the food on top and then it get so warm you end up throwing all of your food out. Just like the other day, I had to throw over half of my food and food is not cheap. I have had repairman and repairman after repairman out and it maybe fixed for a couple of weeks or a month and it would be back at it again. I have tried to get LG to replace it or give my money back and they couldnt care less. I have asked them about the lemon policy they mention in the paper and they couldnt care less. Just like would tell me there is no such thing and I would tell them I have it here in black and white and now that my extended warranty is out, Home Depot wont have anything to do with you. They just want to go away. I cant afford to buy another one but do they care? Heck, no. They think youll just go out and replace it. I paid close to $2,000 for it and they dont. Now the top half is keeping things so warm I cant trust putting food in it because in a couple of days, it would be sour and would just have to throw it out. Now dont expect them or anyone to help you. Now, my ice maker is at it again and my electric bill is really showing it because I have to turn it up. All I am asking them to do is replace it and not with the same model and you think they would even bother consider that, no!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the consequences is that you dont get a replacement or get any money back and lime. I said I could go on for days of all the problems but what good would it do? So guess who does without a fridge, not them, me. Someone needs to do something with them not even wanting to replace it and when you are willing to even downgrade yourself. I have all the same complaints if not more as everyone else but you only can place so much on this. And no one cares anyways and NO HELP ANYWAY, but I thought I at least could write this and try and WARN OTHER PEOPLE, DONT EXPECT ANY HELP.
My 2 year old LFXS24566S refrigerator is not cooling. When contacted LG support on Monday (17th Sep). They informed me to book LG technician via LG Purchase flat rate option. I prepaid and chose a technician to come on 19th Sep. I waited the whole day and when no one showed up I called to find out what’s happening. Then I was told that they dont have qualified technicians to support my issue and my money will be refunded. I insisted that I speak to a manager/supervisor, Englebert who promised to follow up and schedule someone to come. Up to now no one has called or no follow-up. Wish I knew this product better before purchasing. Guess Im paying the price for going with LG brand. NEVER recommend this product to anyone...
11/2014 I purchased a $4,200 door-in-door LG Refrigerator LMXS307765/00 from Home Depot. Frustrated by a tsunami of continuous problems with this product, that resulted in lots of spoiled food after the one year warranty expired. The whole tyranny of which is too numerous to state here, but suffice to say that I feel cheated. There should be real consumer protection laws in this country to at least slow down the abuse to consumers like myself yesterday 07/31/2017. Déjà vu my $4,200 refrigerator is not cooling again...
Here I find myself reporting ANOTHER problem with our LG refrigerator that cost almost $3000. Its the three door with the freezer door on the bottom and is supposed to be wonderful because it has a linear something or other. The freezer compressor lasted just over one year. The labor warranty had expired and the compressor was covered. It still cost me $450 for the repair. Now, about one year later, the freezer has stopped working two more times with all the frozen food thawing. Curiously, after the food thaws, the motor starts working again. This happened to me again today. Fortunately, I have an old reliable Kenmore backup in the garage. I think that LG does not deserve another customer. Expect problems from them if you dare buy one. They should definitely be OOB. OUT OF BUSINESS!
Many LG Models with the Linear Compressor have failed and settlement to a Class-Action Lawsuit has been reached. But, any compensation will pale to the hassle and cost of your refrigerator failure. Here is my experience: 11/17/20 - My LG refrigerator stopped cooling. It is 3 years old and still under warranty. 11/19/20 - contacted LG and requested service under the warranty. LG contacted a service company and set an appointment for Monday 11/23/20. 11/20/20 - The service company called to inform that the service technician would not come until Tuesday - 11/24/20. 11/24/20 - Tech failed to come within prescribed time, and no courtesy call from the service company. I called the service company and was told they will try to find out where the tech is and call me back with info. By 8:00p that night, no call was returned. Called service co and left message to call me back. 11/25/20 - No call from service co by 1030 am, so called LG again to request service. LG re-contacted same Service provider, and stated that I would get a call to set up appointment that night. LG made Complaint #: ** 11/25 at 2:00pm - Still no call from provider. Called provider again and was told tech would arrive between 5:00p to 8:00p.11/25 at 6:00pm - Service provider called to inform that tech was cancelling again. They could reschedule for another time after Thanksgiving. Told service provider that I will recontact LG, as the service provider was not reliable and confidence to have the company on home site was gone. 11/27/20 - Contacted LG to request service from another provider. Was told it will take an additional 3-5 days to send my request to Field Services before I can get another schedule. Informed that this run-around has gone on too long - Thanksgiving food (hundreds of $$$) are spoiling. Requested LG to replace refrigerator now. LG stated that would not do so until they get a Technician out to look at it - yet as of now that isnt even on the schedule. As of now I own a $5000 bread box.
We had a kitchen remodel in November 2009, we purchased all LG appliances. My LG convection oven has been serviced 3 times for the same exact problem. Error: F-9, the thermostat will not heat the oven. Obviously there is a problem with the oven and it should be replaced. The model cost over $1800.00, and I thought that LG stood behind their product. The oven (wall unit) is just 2 years old. I also have an LG dishwasher, which was serviced because the motor went out the first year.
In 2008, I purchased an LG kitchen-stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. Within weeks, the dishwasher presented an error code. Within a year, the refrigerator presented an error code and one by one the knobs on the stove began to fall off. My dishwasher was repaired and continues to function, the refrigerator was replaced after 40 plus days of wrangling with LG. But even the replacement is crap. Frost builds up in the freezer and Ive been told by an LG technician that there is nothing that can be done about it, that I would need to unplug it from time to time to defrost it. Stupid took me back to the 1950s with that suggestion. When I called about the knobs, I was referred to a dealer that would sell me some for $78.87a piece.I bought the knobs, but I am not happy with LG products. So much that when I replaced my washer and dryer last month, I did not buy LG. When I have guest in my home and they ooh and aah about my LG appliances, I tell them that life aint good! I would not recommend this product to anyone.
My old refrigerator went out and the LG was on sale for a good price so I bought it. Was kinda small but I needed something in a hurry and they could bring it the same day. Would freezer burn food fast and no room to make ice cubes. The shelves on the fridge couldnt hold 2 gallons of milk at 1 time. It was really just a standard refrigerator. Nothing special. Just cheap and worked as it should. Wish it had room to make ice cubes but it ran for years without any issues.
I’ve been wondering why my clothes have little holes in them, get pilly and faded so quickly, and even get tied in a knot sometimes when I do a load of laundry. I finally realized it’s the new washing machine (WT7600HWA). I am so disappointed. The spin cycle is so high that it’s causing little holes In my clothes. I believe it’s also causing the clothes to get all entangled and tied up in a knot which is difficult to untangle and make them a very wrinkled. I am very unhappy with this washing machine and very disappointed. I would not recommend it to anyone. I also don’t like the cycles are so long, why should I take an hour and a half to do a load of laundry? That uses more electricity and water that way as well.
Will never invest in an LG product of any kind! Bought one of LG’s high-end dishwashers (model LDP6797BD) less than 2 years ago for its quiet running, nice bells and whistles (including WiFi access), and 5 year warranty for electronics. A few days ago the LED display started going on/off, dancing through all the readouts, beeping, and displaying what appeared to be an error code (“L2”) but wasn’t. We called for warranty repairs with a local authorized technician. He calls LG and they tell him its hardware (user interface board), not software (which clearly it was). Minimum repair cost, $285 (included the $85 service call).I call LG to explain why it’s the software and should be under warranty. LG’s Customer Service agrees it could be electronics and will dispatch their factory technician for $125 plus and a minimum labor charge of $65 (but up to $175) if its covered under warranty. Unlike the local technician’s $85 service fee, LG’s service fee of $125 is not applied towards repairs. I explained that I could buy a new dishwasher (NOT an LG) for what I would spend in repairs and my previous $300 dishwasher lasted 10 years…what’s wrong with their product(s)?
My 35 month-old LG fridge model LFC22770SW compressor has failed and apparently an LG compressor certified technician must do the repair - but there isnt one in the whole Toronto/GTA!! LG keeps having me call service centres that dont come to my area...looks like I am one of many (who will never buy another LG product and will pass this on). Four days now...
Bought the LG LFC24786st from Sears exactly 3 years ago this week. At the 1 1/2 year point the motherboard and fan needed replacing. Really WTF, a year and a half. Oh well, it was under warranty. Yesterday it happens again. Right now the fridge is sitting at 54 degrees, the freezer is warmer because we had to remove everything. Really now, 2 motherboards in three years plus the Sears extended warranty is no longer any good because of the closing even though I still have 2 years left. This is really looking like LG Lemon fridges are not the way to go. I see from above that its not so much a model of the fridge but the make that keeps breaking. Ill tell you something, this is hitting the internet big time. Im frustrated, pissed off, and right now... fridgeless.
My three year old washer is being consumed with rust. We are not careless and try hard to never splatter the chlorine. At the rate of corrosion there is no way the frame can last long enough to cover the 10 year warranty. Thinking this was surely a defect considering the $899 price tag, I called LG Customer Service. They are not located in the U.S.A. They then told me there is no warranty on the washer housing and began schooling me on being careful when adding the Clorox because it is very corrosive. Really? One would think the LG engineers would realize that when designing the washer. Now we have mechanical issues and are in need of other repairs. NOTE. LG is not American made. Definitely not worth the money and I do not recommend buying one.
I have now seen hundreds if not thousands of online pictures of my similar issue with this product. The control panel is NOT sealed correctly so the steam seeps out on the top and has entered the thin plastic which encases the control panel and created small but obvious cracks. This would not happen if the door/panel was sealed tightly with some form of a seal, which it is not. It is plastic meets plasic on a edge. Therefore the steam enters creating heat and pressure and cracking the display as well as allowing moisture into the electrical panel.** Here is a link to a video that shows the issue. This is a design flaw. Its also a hazard since the water vapor is seeping into the panel. My dishwasher is also not very old. I do not recommend this product since the design flaw not only has NOT been fixed, it has not been addressed by LG despite numerous reports on the web. Shame on LG for allowing a flaw to just continue each year in this model.
I purchased an LG electric oven range only four years ago. After 2 year two of the burners gave out. After calling customer service; they came over, charged me $250.00 and replaced control panel. This was without any diagnosis. Exactly one year later the burner gave out again. After calling their customer service and talking with technician, they offered another service call and replacement for $250.00. Their reason there is only 90 days guarantee on the parts. Very unfriendly and not willing to accept the an oven and the part that is replaced by them should last longer than one year. They offered I can purchase their warranty for $450.00 and the warranty lasts for one year. It is like their only reason is to ask for more money from consumers without making sure they are happy with the product.
Bought an LG top load washer because it was supposed to be the greatest thing ever. Constantly twists clothes, gets off balance and shuts down, and all of my light colored laundry is ruined because the piece of crap doesnt get clothes clean. Cant believe a company would release a machine like this.
This is the most useless dishwasher I have ever owned (LDF5545ST). My 20-year-old GE works better than this thing. The energy efficient drying is absolutely useless. I have followed every instruction in the owners manual, ensured that my water is hot enough, and everything else that LG recommends. I always have to dry at least half the dishes by hand. It’s actually faster to wash dishes by hand. I would never, ever, ever, buy another LG dishwasher. Do yourself a favor, buy something else.
I remodeled my house and brought 4 LG products. Microwave for over the range, sitting in my living room, home alone and heard a noise. I go into the kitchen to find the handle of the microwave on the floor, repairman man said it was cracked. Microwave was 1 month old. Dishwasher 2 mo. old, the latch cracked and had to be replaced. Range, oven door almost fell off, missing 2 screws. The best for last, my horror story of the French door fridge, needed twice to replace the motherboard (I think it came from China?), the freezer door did not lock well, escaping cold air, the ice maker had to be replaced. I had put hardwood all thru the house including the kitchen. I now have some leak coming from the bottom of the fridge, it is now ruining my hardwood. The appliance man will be out this Tuesday. All appliances were purchased the same day and 3 out of 4 had issues within the first month. I was looking to see if there were any recalls or class actions suits. These product in my case were just terrible, even the stainless steel has an issue. I put my old Amana fridge in the garage, mine is about 20 years old and still works like a charm. I WILL NEVER BUY AN LG PRODUCT, life is good my foot. Had to take off work numerous times to have items fixed. I think I goofed and purchased LG instead of GE, mapping the price.
I have LG refrigerator LFC21776ST for less than 8 years. Suddenly both the freezer and refrigerator sections stopped cooling. I called LG for assistance with service. They provided a list of local LG authorized service providers (not an LG technician). I selected one, Advance Solutions of NY who sent a technician to diagnose for $108. After identifying the problem to be the compressor, the problem was passed back to LG who scheduled the only tech in my area to come a week later. The tech scheduled between 8-2, arrived at 2pm and performed the replacement of the compressor. I was given a bill over $600, which included the cost of the compressor part. I informed the tech that this part was covered by the 10 warranty (my refrigerator is less than 8 years old). After calling whoever he had to call, the discrepancy was resolved. I paid the bill and was told to wait 24 hours for the unit to completely cool. 24 hours later and neither the refrigerator nor freezer are adequately cooled. I called LG and was told the tech would not be available over the weekend or Monday and that someone would contact me in 1 or 2 business days to discuss scheduling. What?? I asked to speak with Executive Services Dept and was put on hold of 1.5 hours. Finally someone spoke with me but had little more to offer. The tech was texted and will hopefully contact me. When, I don’t know. All my food has spoiled. I still don’t have a working refrigerator and have no idea when the issue will be resolved. Not a happy camper. Life is not good at the moment.
I appreciate my washer, however, it’s not completely reliable. For the most part, it is. It’s just sometimes it stops and stays filled with water. I have to unplug and plug it back in. Other than that, it works pretty good.
We have paid for 7 visits to have the door seals replaced since we bought the thing in 2006. At $110 dollars a pop and repair costs amounting to $180 each trip, we could have bought a new fridge. The shelving runners are really cheap plastic and break if you look at them so our drawers are tilted. I will never ever buy another LG. The parts are extortionate to replace and hard to get. The model of the fridge/freezer is LRFC22750sw. We are so disgusted with this abomination we will likely never buy anything LG again including TVs.
In July 2017 we bought an LG electric/convection double oven stove. Almost as soon as we installed the appliance our first incident with the stove happened. I barely brushed the stove knob and the burner turned on. My husband happened to have his hand on the burner and he felt the heat. That should have been our first warning. Jumped forward to December 27, 2017 @ 6:29 pm. Shortly after my husband had heated up his dinner in the microwave, which is above the stove, I smelled something like plastic burning. I said to my husband I bet you bumped a knob on the stove. He proceeded to the kitchen and when he opened up the door flames and smoke billowed into our living room. Between the two of us we contained the fire and help was on the way.My review regarding this stove cannot be put in stars because they don’t have a negative value. As far as cooking on the stove we had no issues. I loved the double oven. But from our first experience shortly after installation to the night our house caught fire, the knobs were a concern. We have grandchildren who use the microwave... I shudder with the thoughts of what could have happened to them. There were no push then turn knobs, which is a common safety on most stoves, Or the knobs could have been on the back of the stove like some stoves. Now we are facing a total remodel on the kitchen, new cabinets, multiple appliances... etc.Yes, we have insurance but that’s not the issue. This fire could have been prevented if the knobs had a safety feature. I feel for the individuals who have the gas stove. I understand their concern. Gas leak vs fire makes for a bad day. With as many reviews I have read regarding this particular problem, LG should have a recall on this model stoves. Look into rectifying the situation so this does not happen to someone else and turn their world upside down. So as far as LG products are concerned, I’m boycotting them. We even have several other household products but when the stop working, no more LG products in my house. LG needs to step up their quality control on the designs of their kitchen appliances. You should never live in fear of ACCIDENTALLY turning on an appliance.
Recently, our DLG6988s dryer (part of a combo) stopped heating. Everything seemed to be working, but no heat! We called the point of purchase (POP) company. We had purchased a 4-year extended warranty program with them. The company provided a work order for repair. The repair diagnosis, full replacement as there had been a fire because the lint was not leaving the dryer but instead, getting in around the drum and the harness was damaged. There was no lint in the tube, none in the lint catch area. It was around the drum instead. No repair could be done. According to the repairman, who has seen this before, this is apparently is a problem with LG gas dryers of this model, which they no longer make, and a report was sent to LG.LG informed us that since we had purchased an extended warranty, the POP company would look after us. We went back to the POP company and their extended warranty department told us that the dryer credit would be prorated and we would be given in-store credit to spend on a new dryer. We looked at dryers and to purchase a comparable dryer to the one we have now. The total cost, including extended warranty, is now another $706.00 over and above the credit we were given. We contacted LG regarding the dryer and the customer service rep told us they would not replace it since the LG warranty was up. The POP company will not replace it, but would give us the credit, take it or leave it.We did not cause the fire. We cleaned our machine diligently of lint. There was no lint anywhere other than in the drum area. They are removing the dryer tomorrow, however, I would like to prove to LG that this defect is their responsibility and the dryer, which is less than 5 years old, should be replaced. The downside would be it would be another LG product. We will never buy another LG product and I urge you to do the same. Because of the offshore parts problem with LG, any repairs that can be made can take more than 5 weeks and their customer service is unsatisfactory to put it mildly. Do your homework before purchasing anything from this company!
Man I wish we would have paid for new racks for our old KitchenAid. My blood pressure rises every time, every time I load up this crappy LG dishwasher. The tines are badly located, what is with the big area on the lower rack that had no tines? Because of the rack/tine design, we get about 20% less dishes in this thing. Then it runs forever but that is part of all new dishwashers. I like how sites say to run the water first so the water is hot. Yep KitchenAid heated the water much better. It had a heating element on the bottom that dried the dishes. KitchenAid had a filter on the bottom that was easily removable. The spray arms on the LG are so flimsy. I wonder if they will last 2 years. Errr!!!
I had an LG refrigerator and and I wanted a replacement one that would match my stove and microwave. There are some things I’m not happy with. The temperature control doesnt seem to be as good as it was on the other one. I have a separate temperature gauge and many times, it isn’t as cold as it should be. I even had somebody come out to the house and it hasn’t made a difference. The fridge is fine as far as where the shelves are, but I am not happy.
Machine sounded as if it was gearing up for take off. LG ran a smart diagnosis over the phone and said everything was normal. I then ran a spin cycle and had the service tech listen over the phone and he said No way was that sound normal. As we live farther than 20 miles from an authorized repair service, our case had to be evaluated for repair or replacement. They replaced it and it sounds much different and improved. With the new machine, the liquid HE soap is not totally dispensing leaving gummy residue in the tray. The manual is not very clear on how much to use for what size load. I was told to use 1 Tablespoon for medium and 2 Tablespoons for bulky loads and that a small amount of water remaining after the load finishes is normal and to wipe it out of the dispenser trays after each load. Definitely not user friendly.
Bought this top of line refrigerator about 5 yrs ago. Had no problems until May 1, 2017. The compressor went out. It is now June 30 and I still am without a working refrigerator. When I called for repair LG recommended the Premium Repair Service Plan saying for $338 it would cover the cost of repair no matter what the issue. They then set up an appointment for repair. The repairman said he needed to order the compressor. Thats when the run around began. First the repairman had to get authorization just to order the part. Excuse me!! This was the authorized repairman that they sent out. Whats with them needing to authorize this? It took a week to get authorization. Then it was ordered. It is now going on 2 months and there is not even an estimated time of arrival for this part. I have called LG who then tells me So sorry for the inconvenience but the part is ordered. It will be 3-5 days. I call them after 7 days only to be given the same spiel. I call the repairman who says same thing. I am getting nowhere with either of them. I wrote to LG explaining the problem as I dont get anywhere with them on the phone, only to have them say they are sorry for the inconvenience but it is Assurance, the company that they contracted with for better service options, that I need to be in touch with. However Assurance tells me that it is LG that is the problem because they have to use LG parts in keeping with the warranty. So I am stuck with no refrigerator while LG took my money for nothing so far. As we all can see this company doesnt seem to be concerned with keeping customers as its customer service sucks and they dont care. I dont know what its going to take to get them to help us. Maybe a huge class action will get their attention.
One machine - LG washing machine was purchased as on date 26/01/2016. After one month there is a some issue, which I have already informed and raised a complaint through complaint no ** dated 09.03.2016 to metro service but not resolved. Another complaint raised and received the complaint no ** dated 14.03.2016. Till date not matter resolved. If it is not possible to resolve please take back the machine and arrange to refund.
Im another compressor failure customer getting completely screwed over by LG. They wont fix it. They wont Supply the compressor. Weeks going by. Out several hundred dollars of food and no fridge for 4 weeks. This is incredible. Paid $3,000... LG Imports should be completely blocked from the US. They should not be allowed to sell any appliances in the U.S. Theyre screwing over thousands of customers in the United States and Im sick of this. I also had an LG dishwasher that was defective and end of broke three times within a year to the point that I had to get a refund. I mean you know Im not alone here. There are thousands of people reporting the same issue. Its time that the U.S. government block LG from exporting anything into the United States.
We have had the dishwasher 3-4 years, it has been working fine. Then I start smelling something and take of the panel. A wire had come loose and melted the side then started melting plugs. After I had taken everything apart I found that not only had a wire come loose but the left side of the washer was rusting. See pics. How in the world does this happen in such a short time with everything is suppose to be sealed. LG told they couldnt or wouldnt do anything because it was out of warranty. I guess if you get a couple of days out of warranty watch out your house, could burn down because for shoddy labor. Never buy an LG again.
My LG fridge stopped cooling less than 2 years after we bought it. The compressor is still under warranty. We cant get someone to come and repair it within a reasonable time. The person called at 4:02 we returned the call at 4:04 and they wouldnt come out. We missed our time and had to reschedule with Habeeb in India. **, India really, he could not answer my questions and would not transfer me to someone in the US. We are stuck in Miami; I will never buy another LG product from Sears again. Meantime, all of our food is spoiled and Thanksgiving is coming with company.
After much research my husband and I purchased a washing machine, dryer, refrigerator, and dishwasher. After about eight months my ice machine stopped working, replaced for $385. Motor on dishwasher ceased replaced. Strip on fridge cracked and dishwasher has many pieces on the side that need to be glued. We are VERY disappointed with these appliances and would NEVER recommend LG to anyone. So much for researching Life is Not good with LG.
I have had my refrigerator about 4-5 yrs and woke up to no power, on a Sunday. They cant get a repairman out until Thursday. This is my one time then I am buying GE or Kenmore - brands you can trust. My GE lasted almost 20 yrs and was working when I gave it away for this one.
I purchased my LG front load steam washer, model WM2501HWA, in April of 2010. It worked fine until May 2014 when it just stopped mid-spin cycle. It totally lost all power. I checked the obvious, tripped breaker switch, plugs, and all was fine. So I called a repair company that was recommended to me by a friend. They diagnosed the problem as a bad power board. It was also recommended that I replace the noise filter at the same time. Parts and labor would be over $300 not including diagnostic fee. After waiting a month for the parts, they installed them and it worked. After about 6 loads it died again! Ive been waiting for the new parts and its been over a month! I asked the repair company if they could just refund my money so I could just get a new one and they said they wanted to install the new parts first. They have yet to receive my parts and I am spending $25 a week at the laundromat. The first mistake I made was buying an LG washer and dryer. My second mistake was calling a bad repair company. I am currently out $300 and have no working washer. I am so mad!! Dont buy LG!!!
I purchased this as part of a set in 2017. Its a black stainless steel gas convection range. My initial thoughts were that the control panel is extremely hard to push. They failed to put glass behind this so I have to push hard to get it to register. This is very annoying however it does work. Lately though, it has developed a new problem. The oven beeps saying it reached temp I put my food in. When I pull it out after the timer goes off, the food is cold! The oven fails to maintain temp. A 4 year old oven that is lightly used should not be having this issue! I have owned cheaper ranges and have never had issues like this, not even after 10 years or more. I am very disappointed with LG line of products.
I hope there is a recall on this washing machine. I paid top dollar for the Worst Machine ever. The machine doesnt dispense enough water to clean the cloth. The cloth has a nasty odor after washing them. The machine itself has a nasty odor as well. I have tried many, many kinds of detergent but nothing seems to help. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED AND WILL NEVER BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS AGAIN.
We purchased our set (LG Tromm DLG8388NM Washer and Dryer) in 2006 and for the first two years, everything seemed to work well. But now, the washer leaks, the drum is corroded with black disgusting gunk that is difficult to get to let alone clean. The clothes stink even after washing them twice, with bleach and fabric softener. The dryer spins but there aren’t any heat. We spent over $2,500 on the set from Home Depot and have been disappointed to say the least. We also had a bad experience with an LG dishwasher and refrigerator. Both had to be replaced a year after purchase. We spent a total of $6,500 on LG products and they have not lived up to their Lifes Good name. My suggestion is not to roll the dice with any of their products because you will be angry and frustrated.
I purchased an LG french door refrigerator Model lfx28968st in January 2014. I paid close to $3,000 for it, so I was surprised when it stopped cooling less than a year later. I immediately called LG who referred me to a local company that does their warranty work. It turned that the company had been out of business for years and that no one in our area actually does their warranty work. When I called LG again they seemed surprised and told me that I would have to find a local company that would work with them to get my refrigerator repaired. After calling around town, I discovered that Sears was the only company who would attempt to repair my basically new refrigerator. I made the first appointment I could get (several weeks later) to have my refrigerator diagnosed because Sears would have to get parts ordered and approved through LG before any repair could be made so they could get reimbursed for their labor. In the meantime, we decided to rent a refrigerator to keep our food from spoiling as this was obviously going to be a long process. The repairman told me that it could be several things, one of which was the main computer panel. After finally getting the part in and installed, he told me to give it a few days to see if that did the trick. Several days later it was still not cooling. I had to go through the waiting process again. By the time Sears got it fixed for me, I had been without my nice refrigerator for many months and I had been paying rental on the other refrigerator. About a year and a half later, right after Thanksgiving 2016, my refrigerator once again stopped cooling. Also, my LG microwave purchased at the same time quit working. It turns out that neither one would never work again. This time we just purchased another used smaller refrigerator and called LG. They gave me the same information about the repair company that was out of business. I called Sears once again. Every time a repairman came out to my house they would tell me stories about how LG refrigerators are not any good and that they are constantly being called about repairs for them. I had not bought the extended warranty on my refrigerator, so this time I was told that I would have to pay for the labor, but LG would cover the cost of the parts until the original warranty ran out. I was told that LG would try to repair it, but that if it were deemed unrepairable that they would replace it. For almost the entire next year Sears would come out, diagnose my refrigerator, call LG who would suggest what was wrong and order parts. I would wait for the parts to come in and set another appointment for repair. During that period, Sears came out about five times to diagnose and five times to repair. They replaced the Evaporator A, Dryer, Dryer Assembly, Dryer UV (Restricted), Heater Exchange, Pipe Assembly... Finally, in November of 2017, Sears decided my refrigerator was unrepairable and gave up. They gave me back all of the labor that I had paid, minus the trip charge to come to my house. It turns out that because it had taken so long to try to repair my refrigerator that LG was not going to honor any kind of warranty. For the last year I have the nicest looking boat anchor in the middle of my kitchen floor that I dont know what to do with. Complaining to LG doesnt help. They just pass me around until I give up. Complaining to Sears doesnt help either. They just put me through to the warranty department, which does me no good anymore. I believe that LG should be banned from our country. I will never buy another of their products again.
For the front loading washer needs to find a way to drain better so that it doesn’t smell and leave a bad aroma not only in the washer on the clothes which then makes the dryer smell but also the laundry room and area.
Buying this product was a big mistake. I have owned it for about 2 years. The first year had to replace the circuit board - cost money. It doesnt wash my clothes. Not enough water - always off balance no matter what size of the load. As soon as I can get enough money I will buy a new washing machine. It will not be LG.
Our white and light colored clothes started looking dingy. It was a result of the washing detergent not being adequately rinsed out of the clothes. The certified LG repairmen came several times; however, no solution was found. After much going back and forth, I got tired and purchased a different washer. Now, Im stuck with a $2,000+ LG washing machine that is in my way. I feel as though LG has not upheld their product.
I had an awesome experience with LG customer service! My Washer WM0642HW that I bought 7 years ago started with a big noise and doesnt spin. I called to LG Cust. Serv. and then they sent a LG technician to check my washer and he found the problem. The rotor was damaged and due to the Motor was under 10 years warranty this professional guy replace the part and I dont pay nothing! The service was on time and very professional. I have a lot of LG products - VCR, DVD, TVs, washer and dryer too. Dont complains! I love LG Products.
We purchased our Kenmore Refrigerator in April 2010. The door gaskets/seals continually fail. Sears has refused to replace the refrigerator. The door seals have been replaced 5 times now in the almost 4 years weve owned it. The problem is the door gasket/cam/holder design. Without a redesign of these parts, they will never be able to actually fix the problem. All they can do is replace the parts again. Now Im at an impasse; Looking at the refrigerator reviews and problems, I dont think there are any Good refrigerators made anymore. Our original GM Frigidaire lasted 27 years with approximately 5 replaced defrost timers in that time before the compressor gave up. How did things go from lasting 20 years to lasting hopefully 5 with the new appliances? Even the appliances made in the US dont seem to last anymore. Im very frustrated and angry with the situation. Were currently looking at going with a Sub-Zero refrigerator.
Customer service quality and procedures when something breaks needs to be one of the most important considerations when choosing who to buy an appliance from these days, especially an expensive refrigerator that is not built to last despite claims that it is, but for a higher purchase price. It was important enough to me that I was willing to pay more upfront. $2800 more. Things break, design flaws happen. That is not as concerning to me as what a company does to their customers when it comes time to make it right, and how they make it right. Regardless if they have fixed their linear compressor problems, it is not worth buying LG refrigerators. Or any other product as far as I’m concerned, given what they are presently putting us through and how little they are compensating for our losses.I’ll be shocked if this doesn’t cost them dearly in customers and loyalty. It certainly has turned my 18 and 22 year old sons off after watching what we are going through since July. That’s future business right there that they screwed up. Not to mention my failing double oven, dryer, and dishwasher which need replacing soon. And where there is one there are hundreds or thousands more. That’s a lot of exponential word of mouth.LG is losing all that future business for what? To save a buck on repairs now by forcing customers to use their preferred 1-star rating repair servicer even if they repaired it once already and it failed? To avoid doing the right thing by reimbursing their customers for full damages and losses fully caused by their part failures as well as their repair failures? That choice alone about customer service reflects poorly on the business smarts of a company, which in turn affects reliability. If you ever have a warranty repair with your LG products, you are at risk of what is happening to us right now. Are you willing to gamble for that much money? We bought our LG French Door refrigerator Thanksgiving 2016 for $2800. Chose LG because of reputation, longevity claims about the model, and their description of great customer service should something go wrong. We thought it was worth the expense. The linear compressor failed after 3-1/2 years in July. We had to wait 2-1/2 weeks before their “authorized repair servicer” got here to repair it. We bought a larger mini fridge and still lost well over $300 of food. Their servicer did not call us to first diagnose or ascertain what parts might be needed. They simply showed up and assumed they only needed to swap out a compressor.LG bottlenecked their quality before they got here by only authorizing a maximum of $505 including labor, regardless that neither of them knew for sure what all needed to be checked and repaired. They set us up for failure. Their preferred provider didn’t even look for leaks in hoses that might have caused the compressor to fail to begin with, so if there was one it’s still there! They did not replace all the other covered parts that are supposed to be replaced with this repair, such as evaporators, hoses, etc. Two weeks after the repair we spent $450 on groceries believing it was safe to now restock. Two days later it broke again. My dealings with customer service since have been unacceptable. I have been patient and understanding about all the extremely long hold times given Covid, (1 hour and 17 minutes on hold this morning before the exec division picked up,) but not understanding about forcing their customers to have to retell all of the specifics of their circumstances dozens of times to each new agent that picks up, treating them like a first time caller, before anyone finally understands again how egregious the case has been handled thus far. And when they finally do they have no power to ensure it won’t continue to happen. Wash, rinse, repeat. There are too many cooks in the kitchen and all the departments that have to be involved are isolated and cut off from the other so the agents can never prevent anything from going wrong again or have influence over final decisions. There is no quality control in LG’s customer service. Their executive services group can’t directly talk to someone in the authorization department to ensure everyone is on the same page so they stop sabotaging what was agreed to. They have no true escalation capabilities and if they do they are highly ineffective. I believe this is purposeful when it comes to these refrigerators. The first agent this time around said our case was escalated since we just went through this. That didn’t mean squat in the end. It has been dealt with worse than the first time and has followed the same channels as a first time repair. He said dispatch would be calling me directly this time 3-4 days from our call to lessen the amount of time we were without our fridge again. That was August 22 and today 2-1/2 weeks later we are still without a working fridge. No one called. I had to start all over from the top when I called back. They tried to resend the same incompetent repair company as last month and ignored our request to send a different one that would approach it properly this time and give us confidence we wouldn’t be put through this again next month. It’s exhausting to pull everything out again, set up coolers and ice and check safety of food every day. Their preferred service provider in our area was going to be at least 2 more weeks out. LG blamed Covid saying it has impacted the availability of servicers in our area. The truth was LG directly prevented a timely and proper repair we had access to; it was not a problem with availability of servicers in our area, it was a problem of a company only wanting to use a one-star servicer that they can successfully under compensate, regardless that the repair company cuts corners and does inferior work to make it worth what LG pays.We asked LG why we couldn’t find our own repair company nearby who could get here sooner than 2 weeks. They told us if we could find someone sooner they would gladly email them the authorization, because they can’t find anyone else. All they can see is their authorized 1-star servicer. We had a 5-star service nearby standing in my kitchen the very next day! And they had done a lot of warranty work for LG before so we were delighted with having found them. They diagnosed the fridge thoroughly first, and in person, recognized that the compressor was not installed correctly and not all parts were properly replaced. Due to this we had oil leaking all over the place creating new repair problems. We called LG back and provided all the contact info they requested. They called our chosen repair co. that same day too and told both of us they would submit a request for authorization and they should have it in the next 24-48 hours. Our repair would be done in under three days. Instead, we got a text and email the next day that their 1-star servicer has accepted our repair request and would be there 12 days later. We called immediately and complained we had someone sooner and did not want the same company, and our case was escalated again. The executive group agent said she saw what happened, the wrong department got the request and ignored the notes in our account and on the request. She canceled their servicer and personally emailed the department directly with the info for the repair company we found, highlighting they were available immediately to do the repair and they have done warranty work for them before. Two days later we get another text/email that the 1-star company happily accepted our request again. I called LG again and the new exec agent listened to all that had happened prior and understood my rage, and told me they were having problems with the authorization department and she had no power to ensure it wouldn’t keep happening this way, but she did have the power to submit a request for a full refund. She had me upload a receipt and confirmed it was received and valid. She would send the request for an auth to our chosen servicer one more time and would call me two days later to see if they had received the authorization. If not she would go through with the refund request. Instead, I get several texts from LG’s chosen servicer all weekend long reminding us they were coming. However, in the past two weeks that servicer did not once call us to get information to determine what parts might be needed, which confirmed for us that if we let them into our home it was going to be handled sloppily like the first time they did the repair. We are sick of what we’ve had to go through living out of a mini fridge for almost two months. For a family of five with adult kids? We want to feel confident it’s done right this time. What LG did that was unethical was agree that if we could find someone sooner they would send an authorization, and then they repeatedly hosed that authorization and every subsequent request for one over the next two weeks to buy time until the A&E appointment was just around the corner. They ignored our valid concerns and discomfort of having this company do the repair again. It’s not like we chose a servicer that never did LG warranty work before. There is no excuse for putting us through this hell. Call several appliance repair companies in your area before you commit to buying anything. They know what brands and products are easiest to fix and have the least hassles with warranty repairs, and which are reliable. All the other repair companies we initially called said the same thing: “we no longer do LG repairs” and if you ask why they all tell you the same thing, “it’s because LG under-compensates true costs and undermines their efforts to do quality work. And it’s too much of a headache to deal with their customer service. It’s just not worth it given the amount of time we would have to put into dealing with them.”I wish I would have called them before choosing an LG fridge, because I never would have purchased it. But this is the real reason LG has a hard time finding an available service provider in your area. And when you find your own? They sabotage it. All to save a buck? How is two or three under compensated repairs in a row cheaper than one done right the first time at a fair price for the actual time required to do a proper job? It can only serve to hurt your customer for unnecessary and unreasonable lengths of time and kills all future business, and word of mouth compounds that. I was also told today there is no guarantee the refund will be approved. They look at how many times it’s been repaired in deciding too! The fact that they were interfering with the repairs, and they failed to let us have a timely and proper one that we had standing right there two weeks ago is not taken into account. If they deny our refund, they will simply reschedule their shoddy servicer all over again. At this point the right thing to do is approve a full refund. My husband is paid hourly and his company is about to be impacted by Covid so he will lose hours pay in the near future. We have to use our scant emergency fund to pay for a reliable refrigerator repair, about $1200-$1400 after the botched repair, or buy a new one. And not having that emergency money is going to hurt us when my husband’s hours are reduced. We cannot tolerate more weeks Iiving like this and never should have had to when we had a reliable repair company standing in our kitchen two weeks ago!To add insult to injury, LG has taken forever to approve our food loss and mini fridge reimbursement requests from July. Several reps quoted from our account that they saw the mini fridge reimbursement was officially approved on August 12 but there was no notes about the food loss. We were told this for the following two weeks every time we called. Then today, the rep said the notes showed it wasn’t approved until September. Somebody changed the notes. We were also told that we couldn’t have both a food loss reimbursement and a mini fridge reimbursement. They only allow one $250 reimbursement per calendar year, regardless if they caused you way more losses. We lost well over $500 of food so far plus paid $260+ for a mini fridge. We can’t even claim food loss this time around even though their repair failed and we properly waited a couple weeks after the repair to make sure it was good before shopping again. Customers can be out $750-$1,000 due to LG’s own mistakes, and only get reimbursed for $250 of it all while they go through hell with customer service. LG does not care about you as a customer or any impact they have had on you or the domino effect. Now, is all this worth buying their $2800 refrigerator? Absolutely not.
LMXS28626S.ASTCNA0/French Door. I bought it for the good looks, but there are a few annoying and serious design deficiencies in the refrigerator, as follows: 1. The ice maker storage is in the door, which causes the ice inside to clump together and stop making ice if the door is opened for a couple of minutes while cleaning the inside. The storage has to be cleaned out, and sometimes reset, in order to work again. 2. The water dispensing spout is far from the pressing mechanism, and water splashes outside the glass if it is small. I have never experienced this before in any of my previous refrigerators3. The French doors do not stay in place when opened - the left tends to shut, while the right tends to open all the way.
This washer is a POS. The stinky clothes comes from it being too stingy on the water. Yes, its supposed to conserve water but if I dont want my clothes to stink then I have to run 2 extra rinses with each wash and then run a Rinse and Spin cycle once that is done. The problem is that these washers dont use enough water to rinse all the soap out, leaving some soap on the clothing fibers... which causes them to stink and stink worse once you start sweating in them. It sounds odd but the excess soap is actually getting funky in the clothes causing them to smell. Give it a try. Im going to sell my front loader for one that doesnt care about using less water. Id rather smell like Im clean than save water.
6 days ago I called LG as my refrigerator of 2 yrs. died. They said they would get someone right on it... The case was being escalated!!! I have not heard anything. I have talked to supervisors and executive corp. supervisors and nothing. I will never buy another LG product, and you shouldnt either if you are reading this. 6 days of my life are gone and had to take time off work not to mention over 700 $USD of food spoiled! They must know this model has had issues but to just leave a good customer hanging is unacceptable! I have had to talk with 6 different people and 3 were supervisors at LG and no one is helping. DO NOT GET YOURSELF MIXED UP WITH THIS COMPANY, THEY COULD NOT EVEN FIND A REPAIRMAN FOR MY FRIDGE!
This is a beautiful, very large washer. Had great reviews and ratings in consumer magazines, etc. For 10 months or so it functioned well, handling large quantities of laundry, including towels and bedding. Then nearing the 1 year mark, the UE symbol, meaning it cant spin out the water from your clothing was a regular occurrence. I was told to use the tub clean cycle. It may have helped it balance for a few uneventful loads. But it was short lived. If you like standing over the top of a washer watching to see if it will spin, etc., but seeing it add 20 or more minutes over and over, then this is the one for you. A big disappointment.Updated on 1/23/2017: Whenever I have called LG about the frequent (Out of balance) issue they always say run the tub clean cycle, which I suppose tries to re-balance or reset without any clothes in it. It even get off balance empty!! Why does this washer get such good reviews in consumer reports, etc.
I found that LG stove knobs were made with a plastic insert. The knob has cracked and I tried to repair it to only find that it cracked again. We had the kitchen filled with gas once and it almost caused an explosion. I would not recommend this stove to anyone. I searched for replacement knobs and found that they cost $104.00 a piece, but could get a discounted one for $84.00. Are they kidding me?!
We purchased an LG super capacity refrigerator in 2017. A few months later we began having issues with the refrigerator. From making loud grinding noises to not holding its temperature. Most recently, the refrigerator stopped working altogether, spoiling all of the food we had inside. We have had technicians come out a total of 6 TIMES and we still do not have a solution! Our freezer is currently not working and the ice dispenser is leaking. We have had a non-working refrigerator for over a week. We are extremely disappointed in this product and the zero solutions LG has offered. We will never purchase another LG product and will definitely warn others not to do so.
The LG side-by-side refrigerator with ice and water dispenser is only three years old, but major rust has developed on the door beneath the ice and water dispenser insert. The control panel has had to be replaced once. The ice bucket freezes up regularly and so the ice dispenser wont work (it has been replaced twice) and the ice cover has broken and been replaced. The extended warranty from Sears wont cover the rusting problem and LG refuses to do anything saying that the rust is considered cosmetic. We bought this unit because of its large capacity. However, with multiple repairs under the warranty and the rust, we regret the decision.
I was disappointed to find my refrig was aluminum instead of the stated stainless steel. To check yours apply a magnetic to it. If it sticks, it is steel. If it doesnt, it is probably aluminum. It is so hard to keep clean and I can no longer keep my recipes or keepsakes or photos on it. Although the sides are not aluminum they are too closed in to use. As far as the workings go, it seems to be working fine. However it is only a few months old. I have only one complaint so far. It cost 50$ to replace the water filter every 6 mo. Whats with that? I never had to replace it on my old one and had no problems. Of course it wasnt an LG. Then I read that you have to have a LG repair man only to repair it. Not very customer friendly. I wish I had read the reviews before buying. Ill know better next time...
We purchased a new LG stove from Best Buy. The oven failed to work under warranty. We called LG and they told us that the stove needed to have a dedicated electrical line. We had it done. By the time it was done, the stove was beyond warranty. Three hundred dollars later, the oven failed to work. LG would not deal with it. I called Geek Squad to try to fix it. They could not fix it. A wonderful tech came out. He did not charge me. I still do not have a working oven. I will purchase a Viking stove and dump this piece of garbage. I needed a washer/dryer and purchased a Samsung unit. I am very happy with the unit and the experience. LG is all talk. The LG unit is the worst experience one could have. I fully expect to file a consumer fraud complaint against LG.
We loved our LG French door refrigerator with water dispenser. However, like many reviews here, it stopped cooling after only 20 months. After two weeks of reporting and checking on the repair request, we still don’t have an appointment to repair and a customer service supervisor hung up on us even when I politely suggested that No, I couldn’t wait an additional 24-48 hours for an appointment. When I contacted three area appliance repair services they said they won’t fix LGs unless we pay their labor costs and apply for reimbursement for parts from LG. LG does not reimburse their labor so they stopped working on them. Then, this would cancel the warranty agreement with LG and we wouldn’t get any money back.
I purchased an LG washing machine. First one came damaged as it was delivered without a box. The replacement which came several weeks later after several follow up phone calls is defective - leaking. The company and Home Depot refuse to replace. They insist it must be repaired. This is a brand new washing machine! I was on the phone with an ‘executive customer device rep for quite a while and she could not help. I provided information including the serial and model number over a week ago. I heard back from her today saying she could not have a service authorized until she received the serial number which was not on the receipt even though this was supplied to her on the phone. Sloppy handling. Poor processes. Indifferent reps not empowered to do their job. Never will purchase an LG again!
I bought an LG double oven, free standing gas range about 18 months ago and recently the lower oven has begun popping loudly every time it heats or cools. The entire time its baking its constantly popping. Its loud and annoying! I would think that with a price tag of $1700 it would be made better. Its hard to imagine Im going to have to deal with that loud popping noise for the next decade or 2.
I purchased my LG top loader from Home Depot in 2014. Its been a nightmare. Laundry has become horrible. The load is never balanced. It fills and drains all day trying to balance itself. Even with my help its not happy. I cant imagine what balance it expects. I hate it!! Ive called with no help and live in an area where there is no service available. I will never buy LG or believe what I read in consumer reports. It was the top recommend. After reading the reviews, I see its not just me. Why do companies think its ok to take peoples hard earned money for crap that doesnt work like it should?
Purchased an LG side by side refrigerator from Home Depot 3/2018 with a 5-yr protection plan. 7/2/2019 the ice dispenser wouldnt stop running after crushing ice. Couldnt get it to stop. Had to disconnect refrigerator while waiting for service. Called both LG & Home Depot to report the problem. LG claimed the repair service was scheduled for July 4th which I questioned because it is a Holiday. Called again next day 7/3 to be sure and was told it was scheduled for 7/4 between noon & 5:00pm waiting for ordered part. I asked about ordering a part if no one was out yet to see what the problem was. No one came. Repair company (very rude) said they werent scheduled until 7/11. Lost $600 in food plus cost of purchasing ice. LG will only reimburse $200. No resolution yet.
I called the LG Washer Recall Hotline first thing Monday morning. I was told that I would get a call in three to five business days to schedule an appointment. Thats a long time to wait just to get the appointment. So I called Best Buy since I bought an extended warranty of 5 yrs (glad of that!). They are not allowed to service recall problems. So, today being day four of the five-day wait, I thought Id call the service provider they assigned me to. No answer, but I left a message. I thought what the heck, maybe I should call LG back. Guess what? They made an error, the man said. They never gave the repair facility a phone # to reach me at. Gee, I would think someone would look at the repair order and figure that out! So, here I sit with laundry piling up because I have an inoperable machine. The drum came off! Im just lucky nothing was ruined inside of it when this happened. Im so shocked by this ineptitude. I once had a GE refrigerator go out. I called the company and told them it was maybe four years old. They had two people out to replace the motor the same day. What a difference from LG! Oh, and my LG is three years and four months old. I hear Speed Queen is the best, but I never see it sold anywhere! I would caution everyone to avoid LG!
I have hated this washer almost since we bought it. Not long after we got it something in computer board malfunctioned within 6 months of buying it. Had to have a repair man come fix it. It is a LG WaveForce with direct drive inverter. It stops and beeps all the time because clothes are unbalanced. I dont feel it cleans my clothes very well. I have a hard time getting my clothes out of washer. (I am only 5 ft. tall so that is not really an issue with the washing machine itself.) Bottom line I will never buy a washer with a direct drive inverter. In my opinion a washer with an agitator is best for getting clothes clean.
We thought we were buying the greatest washer ever when we purchased the LG Top Load washer WT4870CW. It boasted inverter driven technology and was not supposed to go out of balance and could handle larger loads. From the very beginning, it took at least 2 - 3 hours to complete one load of laundry. The machine would go out of balance almost every time it tried to extract. We were cautious about washing like-weight items in an attempt to complete a load with less than five trips downstairs. Now, the washer wont even drain. We ordered a new drain pump and replaced it, but we still get the OE error every time it tries to drain and extract. The drain hose has been checked for kinks and there are none and there is nothing blocking the drain pump or hose. This is extremely frustrating! We spent far more money for this washer than others would have cost. Unless there is a recall or LG shares a suggested fix with everyone, I guess its time to throw the $800 machine away and buy something new. It most certainly wont be LG. I will never own another LG product again! I hope others learn from my mistake.
Well our fridge is a year and half old and the compressor is bad. I cant believe that something we spend your hard earn money on is not working already. Thank God I caught it when I did or we have at least a couple hundred dollars of food gone to waste. Would not recommend LG to anyone. Buyer beware as the warranty may cover the compressor but we may have to pay to get it installed. And its not a cheap install either.
Im not sure what one more negative review will do for LGs image problem with its refrigerators. However you would think that as the reviews pile up and pile up that at some point the company might start dealing with the fallout and consumer dissatisfaction. My model is (rather was) a french door type with bottom freezer. While Ive had it the interior light bulb melted its plastic cover, Ive had the ice maker replaced twice, and the thermostat assembly has gone twice. Some on warranty and some not. The second time I decided to cut my losses (tons of food lost) and no comfort that the problems would end and replace my fridge. In these days of sustainability thinking however I remain upset with this company and the crappy product I bought. Thing is the glitzy outer casing looks brand new. What a shame.
This is a joke. Easy Clean does not work. I have just used the oven once to make a prime rib and have tried the Easy Clean twice without it doing a cleaning. I had to literally get the door off and side for two trying to get the splattering cleaned and still have not gotten the desired effect. The top of the range is another problem. It has small pits, a mesh-like top heating surface that makes cleaning another difficult task. I called LG and might have just saved my breath.
When a sheet is drying in the dryer, it wraps itself into a big tube and rolls around the drum that way. The outside becomes bone-dry; the inside remains wet. LG says thats the way the dryer works. To improve the situation, I should go to the dryer when it happens, open the door, pull out and shake out the sheet, put it back in and begin drying again. Within a very few minutes, the sheet becomes a tube again! Do not buy an LG dryer!
I bought an LG washer and dryer based on consumer reports/reviews, but I was sorely disappointed. Number 1 problem: Any and all clothing regardless of age, material content, or color emerges from the wash cycle looking like **. I never ever have experienced such rapid and profound deterioration of clothing and linens! It is heartbreaking to see my familys entire wardrobe worn away to the point where I am embarrassed to dress my children. These were items which looked brand new with repeated washing in my old machine and brand new high quality clothing never worn by anyone yet ever! It has extreme wash wear even with minimal HE detergent in a medium size load with extra water and slow spin speed on delicate ones. In addition, when it arrived, it was poorly color matched so the two appliances looked awful side by side (one crisp white and one grayish white). For the first week of washing, the machine stank like chemicals and it transferred to the clothing/linens. I managed to clear that up with repeated scrubbing of the gasket and religious maintenance schedule of hot bleach washes, leaving the door and detergent drawer open at all times when not in use. It was way too much work and heartbreak, especially considering the positive recommendations it gets from consumer sites and the price to buy it!
We bought a new LG Washing Machine from Lowes in March 2015. We have already had problems with the machine. Now we are getting the message E6 which means we have a clutch problem. We have had to wait a week for the service call. Very disappointed with Lowes and LG.Updated on 08/14/2015: It seems as if we are nothing to Lowes or LG. The repairman showed up Tuesday and now has to order parts. These parts are a clutch and PC board. Lowes and LG has no idea when the repair company will receive the parts. We have now been without a washing machine for over 2 weeks. I will not buy another LG product nor do business at Lowes unless it is an emergency. Thank God we do have a 5 year warranty on the washer and dryer.
My LG refrigerator, Model Number LFXC24726S/00, has been inoperable since August 2015 (it is now September 23rd). It froze up and took 3 days to thaw out. LG Customer Service says they do not have the part to repair it. It must be shipped from South Korea. They have made two (2) commitments, the last one to contact me September 21st to schedule the repair. They did not call or email. I wrote them last week and they did not respond. I bought an extended warranty from hhgregg where I purchased the refrigerator. They are not interested in repairing or assisting. I am filing a lawsuit tomorrow against both LG and hhgregg.
The size and features make this fridge. Led lights, size, freezer & icemaker/water dispenser are great. I was looking for specific features and this model has them all. I like having pull out drawers in the bottom freezer and 2 ice makers make the options worth it.
I bought this refrigerator 7/21/2014. One year later, approximately 3 days outside the warranty, we had the circuit board and fan system replaced under LG warranty, in 8/2015. Now again, 1 year later 8/2016, we have the same problem with the refrigerator. I called LG and they basically said its not their problem. This company does not stand behind their product. I could understand if it was a different problem but it is the same problem diagnosed by the same repairman who repaired the refrigerator in 2015, one year ago. This refrigerator is just 2 years old and cost 2300+ dollars. I will junk this piece of crap and buy another reliable brand. I will never buy LG again on any of my appliances. THIS COMPANY DOES NOT STAND BY THEIR PRODUCTS; CONSUMER BEWARE!!!
