Do not buy any LG products. Worst customer service ever. Lowe’s is awesome but LG is horrible. Delivered oven with missing enamel inside oven. Claimed Lowe’s did it then me when LG discovered it was inside oven and Lowe’s delivered out of box. In the end after more than 14 hours of phone calls to LG when I was lied to, calls not returned and multiple hang ups by their associates, they texted me their rejection to replace. Lowe’s replaced at their cost. Lowe’s gear place but stay away from LG all products. Yes.

We bought this unit in OCT 2017 since then it has failed twice and cost 198.00 in diagnostics and 1000.00 on lost food! In May of 2020 in the middle of the pandemic food shortage it quit cooling for four days, then magically started working again then in JAN 2021 it stopped cooling again and today Im told that it has a gas leak and that has leak are common on these LG units and to avoid all LG and Samsung refrigerators. Not at all what I was expecting from a very expensive fridge from a top name brand company. Never again. The was not my first but will be my last LG product unless they do something for me. Ill be contacting them tomorrow.

LG side by side refrigerator liner compressor - Just 1 year and 7 months, no cooling, warranty, just a year. I called LG, the compressor has a warranty for a few years, but a technician and diagnostics fees more than $300 plus more parts as needed. If you call for some companies, nobody wants fix LG. $1500 WASTED. Buy another brand. I recommend to everyone dont buy LG.

LG has one of the best refrigerators that I have ever used and was easy to maintain and clean which is an underrated feature. It was recommended and the sale made it unbeatable. It did everything I needed it to for the price. It was a good reliable refrigerator for the apartment that it was in. Well kept and easy to store and organize food and beverages. The shelving was well done and easy to use, allowed for no clutter while storing a vast amount of food and drinks. The features I liked the most are simply how it was laid out on the inside, perfect amount of shelving and organization abilities. It had quite the capabilities and was just as good as all of the LG products that I had previously used or owned so no disappointment.

WARNING, WARNING. Read before you buy an LG product. I have had this side by side LG refrigerator for 4 yrs and the compressor is dead. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? What a piece of junk. I have owned several refrigerators over my lifetime and all of them lasted more than 14yrs. I am over 60 so I have had lots of different products. This product needs to be recalled and replace by a different brand. I lost over $400 in frozen food. I am so frustrated right now and can promise you I will never, ever, ever again buy a LG product of any kind. This should not happen.

Our front-loading washer, bought through Best Buy 6 months ago, has a soap dispenser that will not properly drain. LG customer service, now contacted 5-6 times, will not fix the problem without a proper paper receipt. Nothing I have is good enough for them. The most frustrating experience for a brand new appliance.

I purchased an LG just under 3 years ago. At the end of May 2014, the freezer stopped working. On June 2nd, I had an LG certified company come out to repair it. As it turned out the heating element at the bottom of the freezer melted the plastic back panel on the inside. THEREIN is where all the torment has ensued!!!! They would have to ORDER the panel and as of Today August 11th, 2014 even after contacting LG directly, I still DO NOT have a panel or a fridge that works. IT CONTINUES TO BE ON BACK ORDER and LG did not know if they could help me unless I purchased the fridge from an AUTHORIZED DEALER, who cares where I purchased the fridge? I paid for it, it is THEIR product. If Im willing to pay to get the 65.00 part who cares where I purchased the fridge? LG has been of NO help whatsoever!!!!!! I cant believe it truly matters where an item is purchased. IT is their product and they should care about taking care of the customer... Maybe because I work in retail and I believe in taking care of the customer. I expect the same treatment when I myself am the paying customer... Dont you agree?????

We bought a brand new LG refrigerator at Home Depot in San Diego. After a few months, I noticed a bit of rust on the lower outside edge of where the water and ice come out. I called them and they said it was a cosmetic defect and NOT covered by the extra warranty that we had purchased. I have called them three times since, Home Deport contacted them and now the rust runs all around the bottom of the ice/water unit and is getting bigger. I have been treated extremely poorly when trying to converse with the LG complaint lines. We will NEVER buy another LG product ever and we tell all our friends and family to do the same.

DLEX3470W - Steam Fresh stopped working. Called LG - this unit less than two years old. They say no warranty. Called repair service tech. Showed me voltage going from ecb to heater when power switch on, dryer turned off, and panel breaker on, to steam heater and steam heater burnt open. So ecb and heater bad. Major safety issue. Unit off and power going to heater from ecb when off - fire hazard. Cost of repair $461.57. Dryer cost $900.00 hum. Dryer is unsafe. Also serviceman trying to get part price while here got no help from LG. There are no safety circuits to protect unit from failures like I had. Board fails, burns out more devices. Cost of ownership in a little over a year $1500.00, plus not a good value.

Bar none, THE worst dishwasher (dishwasher is an oxymoron) we have ever had. Worse even than the defunct one we replaced. I rinse all dishes but when I unload it I sometimes wonder if water touched anything. Also the soap is dried on the interior door, hello! Does it even rinse the door off? I gave it one star because it is indeed quiet but I have resorted to washing dishes mostly by hand now if I want them all to be reliably cleaned.

I had a Samsung refrigerator and it last two years. I went through hell with Samsung because it was still under warranty and it took me three months to get that resolved. Then I bought this LG refrigerator and the compressor failed in it. But I called LG and it was handled the best way it could’ve been handled. I was very impressed. And service tech came out and fixed it. He was very professional and very good. He put a new compressor in it and the difference is night and day. The refrigerator has been running great since then and they got a loyal LG customer now because of the way they handled the whole situation. They backed the product, so I don’t have a problem and I’ll buy another one. My wife even told me that I had to talk to somebody and tell them how the experience was and how well it was handled.

Here I find myself reporting ANOTHER problem with our LG refrigerator that cost almost $3000. Its the three door with the freezer door on the bottom and is supposed to be wonderful because it has a linear something or other. The freezer compressor lasted just over one year. The labor warranty had expired and the compressor was covered. It still cost me $450 for the repair. Now, about one year later, the freezer has stopped working two more times with all the frozen food thawing. Curiously, after the food thaws, the motor starts working again. This happened to me again today. Fortunately, I have an old reliable Kenmore backup in the garage. I think that LG does not deserve another customer. Expect problems from them if you dare buy one. They should definitely be OOB. OUT OF BUSINESS!

This expensive refrigerator (MODEL LFX25778ST) was one of the worst purchases ever! The ice maker - only makes about 20 ice cubes on a good day. The ice maker itself breaks after 2 years and then it costs a fortune to fix. May as well buy another fridge. The Customer Service from LG was even worse than the product itself. Truly a horrible experience. I would caution anyone from buying LG. I have had to make several large purchases since this fridge and vowed to never buy LG again. I will never and will encourage anyone I know and influence to not buy LG. Not normally this type of person but when the consumer is being taken advantage of by such a big corporation its time to stop supporting that corporation.

Ever since we bought our LG Model LFX31925ST in Nov. 2012, the ice maker is leaking on. You cant get ice from dispenser because all ice are frozen together and now the water is leaking from under the refrigerator and its not because of the water supply. Both ends of the water supply are dry. Now lets talk about the clothes dryer. We have the tech out 4 times because the tub was bent and they would not replace it until the manager came out and now its taking 2-3 hours to dry a normal load of clothes. We have a new LG gas stove and dishwasher still in the box new but were thinking on selling them and getting another brand because the LG line of appliance is not worth the money you spend for them and the quality is not there.

The oven temperature is not accurate. Have to turn on all the burners beforehand so the temperature is not way too high. Sometimes it will work properly but more often than not it is too hot. The igniter on the right hand side of range (in front) will turn itself on and keep on until we unplug the stove. I think this is a fire hazard. And for the cost of the range it is definitely a piece of expensive junk. The cost of the range was around $1000. The range will definitely have to be replaced and it is only 2 1/2 years old.

We purchased a four unit package. Refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and stove. The other units are great but the ovens (both top and bottom) fluctuate so much in temperatures that it takes fifteen/twenty minutes longer to bake anything and then it comes out dry and hard. A service technician replaced the control board but failed to check if it fixed the problem. I purchased a digital oven temperature probe to check it myself. It overshoots the temperature by ten to fifteen degrees and then drops fifteen to twenty degrees before it kicks back on. This cycle continued for over two hours until I finally gave up in disgust.

Puchased LG Washer (top loader) in May 2018, had it delivered & set up, and got NO instruction on how to use the item. It tears rugs, uses too little water, wastes water, does not clean clothes, and I am told to not wash heavy items, then again not to wash light items. I bought the washer and dryer three years ago. Six months after the purchase the hot water stopped going into the washer so I just washed with cold. I had two techs check out this machine. One couldnt figure out what was wrong and the second told me I need a whole control panel. That was to the tune of $400.00 plus service call. Now you are wondering why I didnt get this cared for during the first six months. Well I had brain surgery and even had to learn to walk again so that washer was not my priority at that time. Guess Ill continue with cold water. Never again!!!

Most of my family has LG refrigerators. We also enjoy the style that LG has that was why we went with them. We like the whole line, so we got the stove, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. I like the fridges French doors and the way they open up to allow us to access the extra-wide fridge without swinging the door all the way open. Also, it doesn’t take up so much room in the kitchen. LG did a phenomenal job, but I had some issues with the black stainless flaking off. A rep came out to replace the doors, and that was phenomenal. But when they replaced the doors, one side doesn’t shut on its own anymore unless I slam it. I’ve tried calling them back a number of times, but there was no response. That part was disappointing, but the product overall, when it’s set and adjusted right, is phenomenal.

I bought this refrigerator in September, 2020. My wife and I noticed that the water and ice it dispensed tasted bad and metallic. The cooler and freezer worked very well but our friends confirmed the bad tasting water and ice. We never had this problem with our old GE refrigerator which lasted 22 years. Four visits by LG technicians failed to solve this problem. I wrote several letters both to LG and Home Depot. Finally, we were contacted by Home Depot who offered either a replacement or a refund. Having lost faith in LG products I elected to take the refund and have ordered a GE refrigerator.

We bought a new LG Top Load Washer and it started to leak water from the bottom. I called LG because it was under the manufacture warranty. We have had the repair people out 5x already and each time they have failed to fix the issue. I have called LG several times to explain that is has been a MONTH with no washer and that I have an immuno-compromised child that needs clean clothes. I cannot bring the clothes somewhere to do them because they could become contaminated and make my child sick. LG customer service has not been any help in resolving the issue. They continue to say that they will send the repair people out again and will not replace the machine. If the repair people could not fix it in 5 tries and a month later, then LG needs to replace the lemon of a washer they manufactured. I have a sick child and they have no consideration for that. I called Home Depot where I bought the machine and an extended warranty, but they cannot do anything because they have to wait until the manufacturers warranty runs out! I will never buy any LG products again!

We purchased this fridge about 4 years ago. From the start it had a manufacturing defect on the water hose that supplies water for drinking. It would drip down the front of the fridge after you got water out of it. They came out and replaced the whole door, but would not replace the stainless steel lever that had gotten stained from their defect. Then it started to give us ice with what looked like dandruff, I have not been the 1st person to complain about this. All it needs is a new ice tray but have to buy the whole assembly. The door since day one has had moisture collecting on it, bad door seals I am suspecting. You close the left door and the right one pops open. This thing is a piece of garbage, and I got the same dont care attitude with their customer service as others have noted on here. We also have an above stove microwave, 2 went out right out of warranty, not even a month past. LG means life is good for them, cause by time you find out you bought a piece of crap it is too late. I also wish I could post a picture of what the ice tray looks like, it grew some yellow hard something or other on it. Very gross to say the least. It seems to me all they care about is making a sale, but not taking care of the customer after purchase. I will never ever ever ever buy LG again.

The fridge has great cooling system, very practical design plus the aesthetics fit my taste. The height is just perfect for someone petite. It also has cold savers and french doors. It was more affordable compared to the other brands with the specifics that I wanted. It has add ons, it is also very durable. It has definitely met my expectations with all the bells and whistles. But I wish the organizing bins were adjustable. Temperature per shelf adjustable, a roll out shelf, easy to remove and clean bins, an area where we can put odor neutralizer. That would really be helpful

My refrigerator is 6 years old. The ice maker needed to be replaced when it was six months old then the ice maker does not adequately produce enough ice. The door spring just broke two months ago. The drawer is broken. The plastic on the shelves have fallen off and the ice maker lever fell off a year ago. It is not a quality refrigerator for the price of $2200.00 made by LG. I also purchased the LG dishwasher at the same time and had to have service on it 5 times. It never cleaned the dishes very well and I tried to talk to customer service at LG and not only were they rude, the woman in customer service was threatening and nasty to me on the phone. I went two months at one time without a dishwasher when the dishwasher was fairly new. The customer service did not want to hear from me or help me in any way. This dishwasher cost $700. The ABSOLUTE WORST company and customer service!! I purchased a French door refrigerator in May through JCPenney. I also purchased the extended warranty. Five months later the refrigerator showed an error code - dhF. I called LG and they sent a serviceman who walked in the house, looked at the code and said he did not have the parts needed to fix it. I asked him how he knew what he needed without opening the refrigerator and he stated that it is a problem that LG knows about but continues to sell defective equipment anyway, they just sent someone out to replace parts. Needless to say, I was not happy. I called JCPenney who pushed me off to LG and have spoken with a total of 11 different people, all who have done nothing to help me. I want the refrigerator replaced. Thanksgiving Day, it stopped working altogether and we had to scramble to get coolers and buy a small refrigerator to place some food in. Today, the day after Thanksgiving, all of LG supervisors are on extended break because of the holiday. DO NOT EVER purchase anything from this company. It is criminal that they sell defective appliances and know about it. All they care about is the bottom line. If there was a choice for 0 stars, that is what they would be rated.

I went to a local repair/refurbished shop and asked them if it was possible to repair the dryer. They told me it would cost the same amount to repair the dryer as replacing it. Poor quality and terrible customer service. We purchased new refrigerator one year ago to go in vacation home. After 6 months of light use, compressor on ice maker went out. Have been trying to get it repaired since February to no avail. Custom service at LG is a total joke! They keep saying they have contacted a repairman but I never hear from the person and when I try to call repairman, I get an unidentifiable voicemail and my calls/messages are never returned. Four times, I have asked LG to contact a different repair person, but they keep calling the same guy back. They are now hinting that my warranty is close to lapsing, but I have been trying to get the repair completed since there were four months left on the warranty period. There are limited appliance repair companies in my area that will work on the dual cooling system. I live in a large city, so this is hard to believe. Bought April 2013. Drying fault reported November 2013. Machine blew up/imploded February 2013. After 3 engineer visits that took 2 months to complete the machine was deemed repaired (engineer 1 guessed the fault wrong, engineer 2 guessed the fault right but instead of logging it he marked the job as complete, engineer 3 brought the right part and recommissioned the machine).Soon after during a fast spin cycle the machine exploded. By that I mean that it spun out of control at 1400 RPM, a bracket broke, the motor is broken, the drum is broken and in all I have a ruined appliance - what would have happened if my terrified wife had not been there to hit the power supply off (not to mention what could have happened to her)? The machine did not cut itself out. The 4th engineer found essential fixing screws were not where they should be ... did engineer 3 fail to correctly put the machine back together, or did LG supply a dangerously defective machine?I would be able to answer these questions if LG showed any interest at all in handling my complaints. After being escalated numerous times to supervisors we have never heard from a supervisor. We have never received an apology. We are forced to accept the same sub-contracted repair company to tinker with this appliance. I have told the supplier that I am not accepting anymore repairs and I am demanding a refund. This is spiraling into a court case. This machine cost 600. It is meant to be the best. Instead, it broke down within the first year and the after sales warranty service has been appalling. Their telephone number costs money to ring, it inevitably means a lengthy wait and discussion, the person at their end has no authority other than to follow a script, their supervisors make no attempt to communicate to us, their repair service is awful (4 engineers!!! and after the 3rd the machine exploded!).I rang their head office and the abrupt receptionist repeatedly told me to speak to customer service about my problem and that they do not give out names ... the senior managers are ring fenced in hiding from customers who are thoroughly fed up with their service. I tried publicly shaming them into giving me what they legal have to. Their Facebook team ignored me and their Twitter team gave me the link to their website. Seriously, this is a company that shows no interest in customer service. If they did, then I would not be in this situation.(And for info, the initial fault is a drying fault. The machine vents the steam during the drying cycle via the water waste pipe. Before it gets there it passes through an internal chamber and takes with it all the lint, hair and other debris collected in a drying cycle. However, that muck instead of being discharged settles on the inside of this chamber. It builds up and then blocks the chamber. This then means the machine can NOT remove the steam generated during a drying cycle so the clothes just become so hot that they will burn skin - proof being when my wife burnt herself on the machine. Now, being a simple customer I of course cant state the obvious that this is a fundamental design flaw. I have to PAY for a qualified engineer to inspect the machine and they have to write a report to state this. 1 - I have to PAY! 2 - What independent engineer is going to do that against a mega corporation?)I will never buy LG again and their level of customer service has pushed me to channel my anger into putting an objective and correct review of them on any review site I can find. Not to mention an exponential Facebook network. They just do not care.

LG Top Load Washer Model WT5070CW Junk! I cant believe with all the complaints listed here for all the same problems, a class action lawsuit cant be generated. I am now part of this long list of dissatisfied customers. Rust around the bleach dispenser, ruining clothes (this is supposed to be acceptable?). Replaced a plastic coupler for $225 two weeks ago (hmmm... There are only two LG tech companies within a 50 mile radius of our home). Now, another problem, I am told my software has to be updated with a new main board and I need a new clutch. By the time Im finished, I can purchase a new (American made) machine. We are empty nesters, have very little laundry and the machine is 3 years old. It is a piece of crap. I would never recommend purchasing from this company. Terrible out-of-the country customer service offering very little help - not to mention a horrific language barrier. It sounds like they read a script and say the same things over and over offering no resolution. In fact, Ive called twice in one night and have gotten different answers from the CSRs. Buyer Beware!!!

LG (Life is NOT good) Front Load Washer - WMM3670HWA. The first 2 sets they tried to deliver were damaged. I waited about 10 weeks to finally take delivery of the washer and dryer in October 2017 and put them into service in November 2017. Ill never buy LG again. 100% piece of crap and all LG wants to do is send someone out to repair it but they never really repair anything. The clothes never really get clean... When I use the speed cycle, it consistently gets stuck at 7 minutes and never spins out and it will sometimes time-out but more than likely I have to hit the power button to shut it off. The regular cycle will get stuck at 4 or 6 minutes and then after 30 minutes it will jump to 11 minutes and then 2 to 4 and then 11 minutes and do it again and again. I have had 3 service appointments. The 1st tech assessed it and talked to the factory and agreed to replace the motherboard, so he came back out to replace the motherboard. The next day it started doing it again. The 2nd/3rd service was a Factory LG tech who had a motherboard and control panel shipped to the house prior to his appointment without talking to us or coming out. The machine is still doing it. I was told by support it was because I use too much soap, I use their lines of how full to fill the soap!?!? I was told by their out of the US support team I would have to pay for the next service call. I was promised 3 call backs and never got them and then had the supervisor of the Alabama Tech Team hang up on me when I asked him if he would pay for my time off of work, water bill, electricity bill and extra time trying to get someone to fix this piece of JUNK!! I was told I have to have another tech come out and look at it again. I have to run a load of laundry and cross my fingers I hear the chime that says it is done. I have to run a load 4 to 5 times before it will finish a wash cycle 1 time. He told me nothing proves is it is a piece of junk and they are following the warranty. I told him I could take a video to prove it and they laughed at me. There is ABSOLUTELY NO HOPE of this ever working normal. Biggest waste of money... So regret this purchase!

I purchased my LG Steam Washer and Dryer on 11/26/10 from Home Depot. Thankfully, I purchased a 4 year extended warranty. Now a little over a year later, my dryer all of the sudden stops heating. I made a phone call to Home Depot on March 23rd and they contracted the work out to Appliance Solutions of Utah. When they came to do repairs, they said the dryer needed a new thermostat, the part needed to be ordered and they would be back in 3 days to do the repair. Two weeks go by and never heard from the repair guy and he never showed up on the day he said he would (I took the day off work so I could make sure I was here). Finally after 3 weeks, he showed up claiming they got sent the wrong part he replaced the thermostat and was on his way. Five days later (3/28/12), the heating on my dryer went out. I once again called Home Depot. They got the same company out. The very next day, the guy replaces the same part, the thermostat and then tells me that there is nothing wrong with the dryer. He said that I need to get my ducts cleaned out and that I can just use my dryer unhooked from the wall until I get that done. I used my dryer unhooked from the wall and once again, a week later, the heating goes out on the dryer. So, I gave Home Depot a call. Three days later, the same company shows up. Now hes claiming my dryer is out because its not hooked up to the wall but he needs to order a new thermostat again so it can once again get replaced. The repair man said he would be back in 3 days. Over two weeks have passed since he said that, I havent even received a call from the company and he just left my dryer in pieces in my laundry room. I can barely get in there. I am completely fed up with this worthless dryer, Home Depot, and Appliance Solutions of Utah. I dont think LG should be able to get away with selling these fraudulent dryers to people anymore and apparently no one knows how to repair the dumb things so they dont continue to have these problems.

Initially I thought this machine (LG F4J8JH2W Washer Dryer in White) to be quite good. The dryer worked very efficiently - the clothes sometimes came out hot.4 months after I purchased it however, we notice quite a lot of smoke coming out from the drum. Luckily we were in the kitchen so switched off the power immediately before the smoke could develop further. LG response - was to send an engineer to investigate, not to get it out of the house. The service man said we could spend $300 to $500 to have it recharged but it might only last 2 weeks because the leak is in the sealed system. LG Top Load WT517OHV washing machine is very stylish. It has a window on top so you can see into the machine. What we dont like: it smells very musty between loads. You cant wash rugs that have a rubber backing. You cant wash water-proof or water-resistant items such as jackets. The machine doesnt fill with water for a full load. Weve tried all the settings. Every time we wash a load, we have to set the egg timer to come back after 10 minutes to shut the machine down. We then reset it to fool it into filling the drum entirely with water. How do you wash a full load of very dirty clothes with the tub filled with water half way or less?Yes we called LG several times for help. Our opinion: Buy basic washing machines w/o water saving sensors. Save your money because you only need standard settings to wash your clothes effectively. Wash only full loads to save water. Weve had this washer and an LG dryer DLEX5170/71 for two years w/o mechanical problems.

Four and a half years ago, we purchased a new fridge from American Appliance in Madison, WI. We looked at several models and were debating between a GE Profile and a similar LG model. We were concerned about the reliability of the LG brand and asked the salesman; he said he hadnt heard of any problems and that they were reliable. We decided to go with the LG. We started having problems last year and the main circuit board went out, which was about $500 to fix.I asked several friends if they have had trouble with any LG appliances and I was shocked at how many people I know who have had trouble with the reliability of LG. I wish Id followed my instincts and avoided the LG brand. Our fridge is now incessantly beeping, even when the door is not open. Today, it started grumbling very loudly. Im afraid Im in for another giant repair bill. I really wish wed bought the GE Profile fridge.

We bought a LG front loader washer and dryer at the astronomical cost of over $2200. My husband insisted on purchasing a 3 year extended warranty. And guess when the washer died? Five months after the extended warranty expired. This piece of junk didnt last 5 years! We didnt want to have to buy another dryer because ours is still working. We had no choice but to purchase another LG in order for it to fit with the stackable kit we have in our condo laundry closet. So now were out another $1100 for another piece of crap LG washer that weve had less than 24 hrs and already were having a problem with water leaking into the drum from some plastic orange piece located on the top of the rubber seal. Have no idea why water would come out of this piece, but its attached to the seal with a screw so obviously its meant to be there. God, I HATE LG and will NEVER EVER purchase another one of their crappy products!!!! DO NOT BUY ANY LG PRODUCT UNLESS YOURE A RICH GLUTTON FOR PUNISHMENT WHO LIKES FORKING OVER $2200 EVERY 4 YEARS!

Bought the LG washer from Lowes and for a few days it worked OK. It then started to vibrate across the floor in our laundry room. We called LG and they sent out a repairman and repaired the washer. It worked for about two loads and then vibrated again. Two different companies came out 4 more times to repair it over the next 3 months. None of those times did they fix the unit. After the 5th time the washer vibrated and flooded out laundry room. We called up LG again and they said they would issue a full refund. The next day we went out and bought a Maytag washer with zero issue so far. To get the refund LG gave us a case number and a link to upload our proof of purchase. After not hearing from them for a month we called them up and said they have no record of them saying we would get a refund. Their customer service is a joke. They claim they have no record of 3 of the repairs and no record of saying they would refund the money for a lemon washer. I will never buy an LG product ever again and will let all my friend know that they should stay away also. We are out $800 for a washer that never worked from day one.

In July 2017 we bought an LG electric/convection double oven stove. Almost as soon as we installed the appliance our first incident with the stove happened. I barely brushed the stove knob and the burner turned on. My husband happened to have his hand on the burner and he felt the heat. That should have been our first warning. Jumped forward to December 27, 2017 @ 6:29 pm. Shortly after my husband had heated up his dinner in the microwave, which is above the stove, I smelled something like plastic burning. I said to my husband I bet you bumped a knob on the stove. He proceeded to the kitchen and when he opened up the door flames and smoke billowed into our living room. Between the two of us we contained the fire and help was on the way.My review regarding this stove cannot be put in stars because they don’t have a negative value. As far as cooking on the stove we had no issues. I loved the double oven. But from our first experience shortly after installation to the night our house caught fire, the knobs were a concern. We have grandchildren who use the microwave... I shudder with the thoughts of what could have happened to them. There were no push then turn knobs, which is a common safety on most stoves, Or the knobs could have been on the back of the stove like some stoves. Now we are facing a total remodel on the kitchen, new cabinets, multiple appliances... etc.Yes, we have insurance but that’s not the issue. This fire could have been prevented if the knobs had a safety feature. I feel for the individuals who have the gas stove. I understand their concern. Gas leak vs fire makes for a bad day. With as many reviews I have read regarding this particular problem, LG should have a recall on this model stoves. Look into rectifying the situation so this does not happen to someone else and turn their world upside down. So as far as LG products are concerned, I’m boycotting them. We even have several other household products but when the stop working, no more LG products in my house. LG needs to step up their quality control on the designs of their kitchen appliances. You should never live in fear of ACCIDENTALLY turning on an appliance.

So no big surprise based upon the various reviews concerning LG refrigerator performance. Yes our LG refrigerator stopped working so we called a local repairmen who diagnosis the issue as a compressor failure (which seems to be a common problem), but due to the labor cost and after considerable effort we got LG to send their own technician to come out on their cost to fix the problem. The technician was great and after repairing the compressor and the evaporator (also faulty) we thought all was good. Unfortunately the fridge still didnt work so he returned and after numerous hours and effort he informed us that oil had entered into the lines and there was nothing else to do but submit a request to LG for a reimbursement. We are currently waiting and cannot get any info concerning our status and whether we should keep the fridge to return and that reimbursement process may take up to 4 to 6 weeks for a prorated reimbursement amount. So we have already have waited six weeks without a fridge and will potentially need to wait another six weeks before we have closure and honestly Im not too optimistic based upon the length of time and the ambiguity that each person gives us on the phone. Although each customer service rep is nice it is unfortunate that LG does not give the autonomy to make a decision even when their own repairmen have given forth their assessment. I realize that products fail but when there is an obvious trend LG should be fast recognize and not strong their patrons along. Its just bad business.

I have never written a review but am so dissatisfied with my LG Direct Drive Dishwasher (paid over $800) - I felt compelled to warn others. I have hated it from day one mainly for the design of the racks. Although the tines look evenly aligned they do not hold my dishes upright causing them to fall over. I have rearranged them hoping to find better placement but to no avail. The glasses on top fall over as well causing a number of them to break since purchasing just over 2 months ago. They clang into each other while washing. This morning was the last straw when I discovered 90 percent of the coffee cups and glasses were caked with debris and need to be washed over. I hate this thing. Buyer beware - model 406KWELS3892.

Contacted LGs customer service after major issues with the refrigerator one year and three weeks old. We were transferred to multiple customer service agents. Placed on hold at one point 2 1/2 hours. Funny thing is the message that plays when youre on hold how our time is so valuable to them. Each time you get a customer service representative you have to start from the beginning, Even though supposedly every phone call is documented.Of course, any reasonable person would escalate in their frustration with each one of these phone calls that were made. Not to mention the multiple times we were being transferred and hung up on and had to call back. Absolutely nothing is done until I had to raise my voice and demand to speak to someone that can get something done. When I finally got a corporate supervisor on the phone it took him less than 20 minutes to schedule an appointment and extend the warranty to have the refrigerator serviced. Any reasonable company that stand by their product would have done this from the beginning. Would you board an airplane knowing that when its electronics fail, there is no way the passenger door can be unlocked? This is exactly how the WT5070CW LG washer is engineered. Ours died a mere 4 years (!!!) after purchase - its electronic controller died in the middle of a wash cycle and left the brain dead machine with its door locked, with no manual way to unlock it, holding hostage a full load of wet laundry which has been rotting there for ten days, exuding a horrible smell! And, to add insult to injury, here is what happened when we ordered the part from LG (via Sears Parts Direct, order number **) and paid extra for expedited 2-day shipment: after 4 days we were informed that LG has not shipped yet, no reason given (the part should directly from their warehouse to home) and there is no guarantee when it will arrive. In the summer of 2009, my wife and I purchased a new kitchen with all new LG stainless steel appliances. Since then, we have had trouble with two of the four appliances. We soon discovered that the control knobs on the new LG LRG30357ST range were damaged due to poor design. The oversized stainless knobs were a selling point for us, as they had a nice, heavy duty, commercial look. But the plastic connecting pieces are cracked now and fit very loosely. Then after about a year and a half, the LG LMVM2085ST microwave stopped working after a short period of erratic performance. We were told on the phone by a customer assistance operator that our one year warranty had expired. And the cost of repairs would be ours to pay. I called the local repair shop with the number given. We would then have to remove the 70 pound microwave from over the range, and place it on the table before the technician arrive. The technician came to the house and made the repairs. But then, he left me to reinstall it myself. About six months later, the same thing happened. Only the lights and the fan work now to serve as glorified range hood. My wife and I have been very upset with this. We wanted so much to be happy and proud of our new kitchen, but disappointment has sullied the experience.

She immediately shut the microwave oven off and unplugged it. She is staying at my place while I am away. I told her to call LG. She was told by a rep that because the warranty has expired, she has to pay someone to come and see if the issue is the magnetron, which has a 10-year warranty, or take the oven into a repair centre. This is not possible due to Corona, and I dont think we should have to pay to have it checked. This seems like a fire hazard, and I am surprised they had no other support available and did not seem to think their product catching fire was something of great concern. Steam washer Model #WM2688 - My son gave me an LG Tromm washer and dryer set for a Mother’s Day/Birthday present in 2008 and I was thrilled! In the beginning it was so quiet I wasnt sure it was running! About 6 months ago I noticed it was getting a bit noisier. Then it suddenly started rocking during the spin cycle. My husband checked it for level and it was perfect. We manually changed the spin cycle to Medium in hopes it would no rock during the spin cycle. It got progressively louder as time went on. I want to add that there are only two of us and we do 4-5 loads of laundry per week. This machine was not working hard for us. It finally began making a different sound and was getting even louder. I called for a repairman. He tried out a couple of cycles and said, Your bearings are going out. I asked if that was normal, for a 7 yr. old washer and he said, “I see it all the time. Sometimes at 5 yrs. and sometimes at 10 yrs. When I asked what it would cost to repair he said he would write out an estimate for me. When he handed it to me I thought hed made a mistake. $829.22! Its a $900.00 machine new! He then said he wanted to look and see if anything was under warranted. The stainless steel drum had a lifetime warranty so my bill dropped to $531.20. What kind of a company sells a machine that much to repair? Repairman told me that he sees this all the time and rarely does anyone pay to have them fixed. I dont consider a $900.00 washing machine exactly a throwaway! I am thoroughly disgusted with a company that continues to build a product with a known problem leaving its consumers to pay for it! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT. I will also make sure that no one that I know doesnt either.

LG refrigerator LFX25960SB. My problem is the same as the one found over countless number of similar complaints on LG refrigerators - after a short period of ownership, the cooling area keeps shutting off with error code “ER DH”. How is it that there are so many complaints and there is no recall on these problem parts or at least a class action suit? If anyone has any knowledge of any group action being taken against this company, I am in! I will never buy an LG product again in the future and will certainly spread the word.

We just purchased an LG kitchen package including the glass top electric LG range with knobs on the front (LSE4613/LSE4611) and had it delivered on 7/11/20. We have had it in our home for one week and weve accidentally turned the front knobs on multiple times by reaching into the microwave, cleaning the back splash, or reaching above into a cabinet. The knobs should not be that easy to turn. They are a push and turn style knob. We went back to the store to begin an exchange process for a model with the knobs in the back, but we are very disappointed because we like the appearance of this style much better. We are shocked by how easy it is to turn these knobs and really dont want to have to resort to ugly child proofing on our brand new appliances. Is there a better option?

I thought I had the worst refrigerator experience ever until I read the other reviews of my LG French-door refrigerator. The following is a list of problems most of which occurred within the first year we owned it. There were so many that we didnt call for replacements under the warranty, which we should have done, but we really needed a whole new fridge and we never would have gotten one from them. The door seals dont work properly, so we have to check to see that the doors are shut. You cant open one door without the other opening! The produce bin, which is made of flimsy plastic, cracked and broke so that it wont slide on the track. The ice-maker takes forever to make ice. The water dispenser on door never worked properly. The plastic rim of shelves became loose and was about to fall off. The fridge light overheated and burned and melted the top of the fridge and the light bulb sockets (Im told a lot of LG refrigerators have this problem). The plastic cover over the light never snapped properly into place and we had to use duct tape to hold it on. It eventually warped from too much heat from the bulbs.I did extensive research online to find a French-door fridge that would fit into the space we have. We didnt have many choices and I paid $2200 for the LG fridge. I should have read the reviews first. I will never buy an LG product again and I have told all my friends not to.

Updated on 09/18/2019: Update to my prior post of July 2019. It is now September 18, 2019 and my refrigerator is still not fixed. The most recent cooling issue started in June 2019 and it is still not fixed by LG. I call every week and every week Im told that they are sending my issue to the Escalation Dept who will call me in 2-3 business days. No one ever calls back. Finally someone acted like they were going to replace it. After I uploaded receipt provided by Lowes. The new person who answered the phone said no replacement until a service person says it cannot be repaired. So, I said I dont care whether you replace it or fix it, I just need it to work because it is now 50+ degrees inside the refrigerator. Of course, this new person is referring my case to the Escalation Dept and Ill be calling again next week to try to get my refrigerator fixed. I doubt it will ever be fixed but Ill call every week until someone shows up to try to fix it... DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR!!!Original Review: NEVER BUY ANY LG APPLIANCE! The LG refrigerator I bought (which cost over $3,000.00) had an error message about cooling by the fan within 24 hours of the refrigerator being delivered. It took about 6 months and at least 4 visits from a repairman (after many, many phone calls to try to get a repairmen sent) before the issue was fixed. Then, 4 months later, I have the same error message with the same fan issue. It has now been over a month since the issue started again and it is still not fixed. I could write 10 pages about the horrible customer service at LG and the slow and horrible service companies they LG has assigned to fix the issue. I will certainly never buy another LG appliance and I recommend that no one else ever buy an LG appliance. Any manufacturer has got to have a better product and a better customer service function and better service companies that they engage to act on their behalf.

Do NOT buy a LG fridge nor use Southland Technical for after service. LG has their own service techs but they are not qualified to do compressor work. So they contract out. Last hot summer, I was given the run around by LG for over 2 weeks to get someone to come see my broken down $3,000 fridge. They keep telling me how busy they are and finally they gave me Southland’s phone number to call. Southland came out, and $1,000+ later, I get my new compressor. Almost exactly 105 days later, the compressor broke down again!!! The service guy who came out in January told me this is the SECOND incident in last 2 days he has seen!!! It took almost 2 months for Southland to get back to me to confirm indeed the compressor had broken down again and due to some BS story, the fridge can no longer be fixed and they will have LG call me. 2 weeks on, LG called to tell me I am SOL because LG did not initiate the call to Southland and therefore LG is not responsible. LG offered me a $100 credit for my next LG fridge, REALLY!! I am suspicious it was a collision between Southland and LG to get me to buy a new fridge. Really Southland, you took $1,000 of my money, replaced the compressor. (Assume they did or perhaps an after-market no name???) And to tell me 105 days is outside the 90 day warranty period. Hands up out there if anyone knows a compressor to last only 105 days. (Yes, days, not months!!) Needless to say, never use Southland and never buy any LG products... Look around, less and less dealers are selling LG, only Costco because they do not have a service department so LG is a convenient partner for a lousy brand!!

I had purchased a Sears Kenmore Fridge model #795.74023.411 in August 2015. Sears had recently gone out of business here in Canada. This fridge had cost almost $3000.00 and was manufactured by LG. I had contacted LG who suggested a LG certified service person. Service person attended and I was told that the compressor was broken and that the cost to fix this fridge was $900.00. I had called LG several times and they keep telling me the same thing. We are not covering this part under warranty because this is the agreement we had with Sears. I had also tried escalating this within LG and each person I talk to theres no point of escalating it further because theyre going to tell you the same thing. I asked LG if its normal for a $3000 fridge to only last 2 1/2 years and they stated it must be defective. Yet LG manufactured this defective fridge and they keep using the demise of Sears as an excuse to not cover this. I feel that the customer service and policies at LG are pathetic. I have now been without a fridge for almost 6 weeks as I cannot afford to pay $900 to fix this, nor do I feel I should have to. LGs customer service is pathetic and their products are garbage. Stay clear of LG.

After one month, I noticed that clothes and shoes smelled. Simple physics: you cant wash dirty clothes in less water and less detergent. LG 2350 front load washer does not rinse out the detergent from the clothes nor cleans them that well. Then the dryer dries that smell into the clothes. You perspire and your business colleagues say, “What’s that smell?” and you have to explain. Buy new clothes and shoes. I work far away from home that my skin got so irritated because of the detergent issue in the clothes. I got rashes and itched deep into my skin, leaving scars. The Best Buy rep came after I complained so much. He suggested we put clean load in wash on sanitary. The washer started sudding up with no detergent added and I have it on video. LG says there’s nothing wrong with their unit. They are liars—look at all these complaints!

After we remodeled our kitchen back in 2010, we purchased brand new LG appliances. Within the first year, a couple of the knobs on the stove (LRG30357ST) became cracked and loose. As of today, 2012, all 5 knobs are either loose, fallen off, all completely cracked. It is absolutely disgraceful that the cost to replace the knobs is almost close to the cost of just replacing the stove. Weve been putting off replacing them because of this cost. We will never purchase another LG product ever nor will I recommend it. What a disgrace!

This was without any diagnosis. Exactly one year later the burner gave out again. After calling their customer service and talking with technician, they offered another service call and replacement for $250.00. Their reason there is only 90 days guarantee on the parts. Very unfriendly and not willing to accept the an oven and the part that is replaced by them should last longer than one year. I will NEVER buy another LG product, nor will I recommend to anyone. Beware...this company doesnt care! I am now buying a new fridge...after the one that I bought from LG is definitely a lemon. This machine is definitely defective and should not be on the market. If you have any answers please share.

I bought LG washer/dryer from Best Buy and had the 5-year service protection plan. I have had leaking problem and had Best Buy out two times. Two weeks ago, the washer started leaking. I found plastic pieces in cleanout. I contacted LG, who referred me to A&E Factory Service (nationwide). I called and they returned my call on a Monday. I then made appointment for Thursday. They called that day sick, so I had to make another appointment a week later (earliest and now 10 days after speaking with them). I called LG, who referred me to a local company. They came out the following Monday (now over one week). They turned the washer on and said the lifetime warranty stainless steel drum is warped. I said it is hard to bend them, so was it an original problem? They said it caused damage to seal. After paying them for diagnostic trip, he said I have to pay for all labor and any other part, except wash drum. Okay, he approved using washer if I was okay with small leaking. Appointment was set for three days later. I used the washer and it turned into a gusher. He came back that evening and said that drum ripped front gasket. He will pay for that. Meantime, I called LG. They said that drum suddenly becoming warped is not likely, but it could happen. I said it has been this way since we had it. It has always been loud and it vibrated more than our old Maytag but we had to leave it at the old house on sale of house. They said they will cover drum, but nothing else. Tech came out on Thursday (this past) and opened up washer. (Finally, he actually opened to look at all of it.) The drum was so warped that it cut open (gouged) a hole in the outer plastic drum (front section). It had a circular gouge around the almost complete perimeter. He told me that part is no longer available because washer was over 7 years old. It was made in 2005 and I bought in 2006. He told me to buy a new washer. After he left, I called LG who said that part can be bought as an aftermarket part but they do not make the original part anymore. Swell. They gave me names of two parts suppliers. Part is $100 but has to be mailed at an oversize part ($50). I called service company to tell them it is available. They called and placed an order. On Friday, next day, part still was not shipped to them. I cancelled service (now estimated to be over $400) and bought a new Whirlpool set. LG refused to take ownership of problem that was caused by a lifetime part and they admitted that it was likely like that from beginning, but would not say 100%. Theyre out. They told me I should have noticed something not right, even though I had Best Buy out two times. I called Best Buy and they told me their service is a plan not a warranty. If there was a lifetime warranty issue, they would have had LG fix it, not them. Now my problem went on for two weeks with no conclusion, other than me cancelling service and throwing that piece of junk out. The company I called recommended the Whirlpool because it is US made. They said the biggest problem with LG is that it is all Korean or Chinese made and parts are difficult to come by. No kidding. Manufacturer is only obligated for 7 years per them and LG. If you want your machine to last more than 7 years and you paid big bucks for it, look for something other than LG. They will not back up their products in any way feasible. I understand warranties but when a lifetime-warrantied product is the culprit of a major problem, dont blame the customer for not knowing it was an issue, even though a service tech they recommend doesnt catch it either.

I purchased the Model#WT4870C*W LG White Top Load Washing Machine 12/20/13, purchase price $599. And because my husband and I traveled for 18 months this machine got less than average use. This is the worst machine I have ever owned, reasons are as follows, does not clean clothes, the clothes come out dirtier than when they went in and yes I wash my tub with tub cleaner very often. Does not use enough water to cover the clothes and even when I use extra rinse. Clothes come out with soap and dog hair all over them. The top of the tub on the rim stays filthy. I get cleaner clothes from old laundromat machines. Sometimes clothes come out still dry in spots. How can this be. I believe LG should return everyones money and get out of the business. Same goes for their TVs. I will go back to agitator style from Maytag if I can find one. Very disgusted with this purchase, a waste of my money, I will never buy LG, again...

I purchased a LG Counter Measured Stainless Steel Refrigerator on August 2014 from Home Depot. Into 10 months of having this product (June 2015), I found a large amount of icing behind the produce draw and I could barely open the draw. Apparently the compressor was going and needed to be replaced. LG came out and promptly fixed the problem. They replaced the two boards - internally and externally at no cost to me.Then around early August 2015, I found several rust marks on the right and bottom drawers of the refrigerator. I promptly called LG especially since I had not owned the refrigerator an entire year. They asked me to upload pictures and the representative stated she would present this to senior management to see what they could do to remedy this. She called back the next day and said senior management felt that the damage was caused by me in some way. I told them that I had purchased a dishwasher and a range at the same time, clean them with the same stainless steel product, and the items did not have rust marks. They said that their decision was final.Surprisingly I received a call in late October 2015 from LG inquiring about the rust spots complaint on the fridge. I explained that there were actually additionally rust spots appearing every day and that I was very unhappy with this situation. He sent an LG service person to view the rust spots and take pictures as well. The service man called the warehouse to immediately order me the right and bottom freezer doors and to have them installed the following day. At this point, I am a little concerned that the new doors will have the same problem and if it happens again, will they cover the damage? I have purchased many products from LG and was generally very happy with the products and service.

We purchased our LG LFX29945ST refrigerator in June of 2014 and started to have major problems in December with the refrigerator compartment freezing food. We had the temperature set at 45 degrees and it was still 30 degrees inside. Called LG for service and got terrible support. We made several calls, got disconnected/hung up on once. The smart diagnosis showed we opened the refrigerator too much (we have a family of 5 so it gets used a lot). They tried to tell us it wasnt level, but the level showed good. Lucky for us we purchased a warranty via Lowes. Lowes sent a service person out and he would sit on hold for 20-30 minutes to talk with an LG tech. Service replaced the whole inside back panel with the air control doors and thermostats along with the control board. This repair caused the refrigerator to not get cold at all. Tech came back out and was told by LG support it was the wrong control board that the LG tech told him to order. Another week later the new control board comes in and its freezing food again (temp between 28-30 degrees). We been unable to use the refrigerator for over two months. Tried to do a review on the LG website and they denied it. I guess that is how they get such good reviews by rejecting the negative ones. I cant believe that I spent over $2,000 dollars on a refrigerator that I cant use for food. At this point the Technician and I are both very frustrated with LG and still trying to resolve the issue. How can a consumer get a bad appliance replaced?

Regardless of how many times I clean it with the clean option or wipe it down, it breeds mold and mildew. All of our towels stink like mold. There is nothing worse than getting out of the shower and drying off with a freshly laundered plush cotton towel and have it REEK of mold. Its disgusting. Three weeks ago, I discovered my LG refrigerator was failing to keep foods cold and frozen. A repairman from Stover, Evey, and Jackson came, brought a loaner, and took the model to diagnose the problem in their local shop. It is not repairable because the capillary tube is blocked and no part can be ordered from the company to complete the repair, per Bob, technician. This model has a 7 year sealed system warranty.I have tried to contact LG via email, with little success. The phone customer service is very poor and time consuming. The LG refrigerator drawer broke, while the delivery man was still here. It was replaced, but after that, the whole thing started falling apart. The French door shelving falls out frequently, and things hit the kitchen floor. Half of the shelves have broken off, and are not fixable. The meat and both the vegetable drawers have had the clear plastic front break out, and the rollers break off. The meat drawer casing is cracked on the top. The icemaker overflows, and ice flies across the kitchen floor. The light overheats, and the light bulb cover warped from heat, then fell off. The magnetic door seals are floppy and poorly designed, so the fridge has to be closed a special way, to keep it from beeping, and letting me know the doors are improperly closed. All of this happened in the first year. After hours and hours, on the phone with LG, for a couple of weeks, someone finally approved a temporary extension of warranty, and we had the drawer rollers, magnetic door seals, and ice maker fixed. They all broke again within a few weeks.

Fridge stopped cooling so we called LG on July 23. They made an appt for their service contractor Lake Appliance on Friday July 26. I called Lake to inquire if they had parts and they said they have typical parts on the truck. When they arrived, Lakes service technician checked and confirmed it wasnt working, and that they needed a part which wouldnt be there until the following Friday Aug 2. On Aug 2 he installed the part and did some other work to clear out the cooling system, but 24 hrs later it was not cooling at all. Room temperature. He said that they would need to get a new evaporator coil which would take a week, so we would need to wait until Monday Aug 12. I called Lake to see what could be done, they said there was nothing they could do -- they need the part and to get the technician scheduled. Called LG next day (Sat) to see what could be done, they said nothing could be done. I asked the LG rep for a manager and they said the manager was in a meeting and would call me back in about 45 minutes. I finally called them 2.5 hrs later (they never called) and was informed that there is no manager working that day at all, they only work Mon-Fri. I told them that was odd, that there is no supervisor working that day at all, because earlier they told me the manager would call me back. So, here we are on Mon Aug 12 and Lakes technician called in sick. So I need to wait until Fri Aug 16 now. 3-1/2 weeks without a fridge, and I am not convinced that replacing the evap coil will fix the problem. Extremely disappointed in LG and their service company. First LG fridge I have purchased and expected better.

I purchased an LG refrigerator March 16 2019. The fridge makes a lot of noise, sounds like an owl and lots of banging. Freezer stopped working and I had the repairman here on Tuesday and he said it is fixed and that the fan was plugged. 2 days later the freezer and fridge are not working and I have thrown out all my food twice as I replaced it after the first service call. Now I have to wait again for a repairman. I called Home Depot where I purchased it from and they said I have to deal with LG. I am not a happy customer and I think LG should be replacing my fridge and refunding my food costs. I am now a week w b mg sf banging.

We bought an LG LDF7551ST dishwasher about two years ago based upon positive consumer ratings. I even recommended one for my parents. After about 6 mos, started to hear a high pitched screeching sound - I read other consumers experienced the same problem. Repair person said it was a bad ball bearing in the motor. Replaced the motor... Unfortunately, my parents had to replace their motor as well. Now, our dishwasher doesnt dry at all. Excessive amount of water after a normal wash cycle. Will never purchase another LG product - going back to a Bosch.
