I moved into a new house about five years ago and it was stocked with Samsung appliances. First my stove caught fire within the first two years. My microwave has never officially worked correctly and now my refrigerator. My icemaker broke down within two years of purchase. The door shelves Have been tracking since the first year and breaking. One by one after five years I now have a zero shelves on my door. They are made of plastic only. When I price to get replacements they run almost $100 per shelf. And my icemaker has not worked in three years. So if you want a refrigerator that only last two years buy a Samsung. After that it’s all downhill and very very expensive to replace parts.

The first error code (LC) happened about 4 weeks after install. A week wait for a tech, claimed no problem. Happened again about 5 weeks later. Again, no issue found. Happened again - replaced a part. Happened again. You get the picture. Sent a complaint directly to Samsung in May 2018 requesting replacement of faulty machine (Dishwasher 80M9 series). Was told they had only received ONE repair notice from us (we had logged in SEVEN at that point - since WE hadnt paid for any of the service calls, I have to assume Samsung did!). They sent someone out to repair AGAIN. Happened again in June. JUST had repair here to replace two parts - he was 5 minutes away from the house and it happened yet again. HORRIBLE company to deal with. This should truly be a no star review.

I bought a gas stove, I have about 5 weeks peeling the paint, they design that it doesnt cover that because I damage it, that I must use special products to clean it, all my life I have cleaned it the same and I never had this problem. That is of crazy. I will never buy Samsung again and I do not recommend it, the truth angers that they do not want to take responsibility and see us as we do not matter as customers.

We purchased a Samsung 4 door refrigerator in the fall of 2016. 17 months later the refrigerator stopped working. Repair serviceman gave us estimate of $1100 + to repair and he said there was unknown underlying issue which he could not repair. We phone Samsung and all they would say was it was only guaranteed for one year.

My Samsung microwave is 3 months past its warranty period and is no longer working due to the SE error. The unplug/reconnect fix worked for 12 hours the first time and 10 minutes the second time. I should have done more research before shopping for a microwave. I hope that anyone looking to buy a Samsung appliance reads these reviews before buying.

March of 2015, we purchased a Samsung Refrigerator from Nebraska Furniture Mart. A month after purchase, the ice maker stop producing ice. Called NFM and was given Samsungs number. Technician came out at least 4 times, only supplying temporary relief. Technician said, this is a manufacture problem. He said, Theres a sleeve in the back of the refrigerator that allows air to come in and with sub-below temperatures over freezes the ice maker, not allowing the ice make to function properly. After calling Samsung, they continue with the troubleshooting techniques. If you are experiencing this problem, dont allow the operators to troubleshoot your issue. Demand for a service tech. Tech from NFM set the temperature control way too cold. Fresh produce, butter, cheeses in the midsection of the refrigerator was freezing. Found out the correct temperature should be set on 0 and 37. To set you must hold the numbers one at a time for at least three to five seconds. Heading back to NFM to complain. If purchasing this refrigerator, spend the extra money and buy the warranty. A home warranty plan may also help defer the cost. NOT HAPPY WITH SAMSUNG RIGHT NOW!

We bought the Samsung French doors with a bottom freezer. The ice tray went out in about a year. Three years later, the contents in the refrigerator started freezing. We had a repairman look at it. He said it would cost $1200.00 to fix it. So after four years we had to purchase another refrigerator. OMG how disappointed. We will never buy Samsung anything again.

We purchased a Samsung OTR microwave model SMH9187W (from Sears) in June 2011 and it was installed in July by Sears. I returned from a 3-week trip in mid-August and found the microwave door ajar and the light on. The latch hooks on the door had no tension and could not keep the door closed. Everything seemed in working order when I hand held the door shut. I called Sears and they said, Sorry, youre one month out of warranty. For $75.00, well send a serviceman out, but youll have to pay for parts and labor in addition to that. However, they offered a deal of almost $300.00 for a service contract to take care of the problem. Big deal. I can buy a new microwave (not a Samsung and not from Sears) for almost the same amount. So much for the consumer reports and salesman recommendation! So far, Samsung has provided no more encouragement. They recommended a close by repair service phone number and when called, they said they can supply the part for repair, but did not get back to me on a price. When asked, Is it difficult to replace the part? The response was, Not for us. Such beautiful concern. I asked, Are there instructions with the part? No. How do you people stay in business? Beginning to sound like pre-WWII Japanese junk.

Unfortunately I purchased a Samsung dishwasher when it was first launched so consumer reviews were not available then. I wish I had the foresight of returning the dishwasher immediately during the first month of purchase because my dishwasher never thoroughly cleaned my dishes. I was so amused by the lights and buttons that I ignored the dishwashers failures. After numerous service calls to the vendor, the repairman decided to replace the unit. Shortly after however, the dishwasher completely broke down. I wish we could make Samsung accountable for what they know to be a poorly produced and designed product.

I have already read several accounts of what has also happened to us - our refrigerator stopped cooling, allowing our food to go bad, which I feel put our family at risk of food-borne illness. We also had to throw all of our food which was substantial. This is clearly not an isolated incident and I feel that Samsung is being very irresponsible. Instead of issuing a recall, which would be the ethical thing to do, they are avoiding helping consumers find any solution at all. I posted my issue on their Facebook page and mine was the only complaint that went unanswered - likely because of the class action suit against them for just this reason. If they help you, they are admitting something was flawed with the design. I contacted them directly and I have not heard back yet. Very disappointed.

We purchased a top of the line Samsung refrigerator (RF4289HARS/XAA) in April 2012. It will no longer dispense ice. Cost to replace the entire PCB display is 614.62. This refrigerator (Model RF263Teasesr) is 2 years old and nothing but problems. Water continually drips down door. Now 2 years old and the internal temperature is 55 - 60 degrees yet the control panel on the front says it is 38 degrees leading to food spoiling. Frost continually builds up in the twin cooling portion and within the icemaker. Nice looking fridge that cost $1600 and does not work. Never, never buy a Samsung fridge. Their help line is staffed by people who try to be polite but are of absolutely no help. To make matters worse, their warranty which supposedly covers defects in materials and workmanship one year and five years is irrelevant. The only way to determine on the extreme off chance something is covered is if a Samsung approved repair person services it. The closest repair person is over 120 miles away - so guess how much that repair bill will be that is not covered by Samsung. I will say it again, NEVER EVER buy these appliances. Samsung stick to a phone or tv.

I cant describe how horrible experience I have with Samsung product, lets begin, in 2013 I bought Samsung French door refrigerator ( RFG297HDRS/XAA) from Best Buy and I paid extra for extended warranty (which I found out it is not extended warranty. It is duplicated warranty). Now in 2016 it is broke down. I talked to Samsung few times. There is no authorized repair center close by and they had to talk to Sears Service but make long story short the estimate of repair is around $600 maybe even more for replacing control board. I recommend to stay with common brand like Whirlpool or Kenmore, Amman instead of paying more for some foreign brand which it cost a lot to repair plus they have very short life.

Firstly, I wish I had read these Samsung stove reviews prior to my purchase. :( This stove got 4.5 stars on PC Richards site which is one of the reasons that I bought it. I purchased the Samsung NX58M6650W Gas Range in November of 2017. I purchased this stove solely for the price and way it looked as I am not a person that cooks a lot and barely do I use an oven. I was upgrading my kitchen and looking for a stainless steel stove to replace my old one. Its a very nice looking stove but obviously looks can be deceiving. After my 4th time using the oven, which was all day on Thanksgiving Day 2018, I noticed that the control panel was warped almost looking like it had melted. I called Samsung for repair and they gave me a courtesy extension my warranty (2 weeks out of warranty) and offered a free repair. In my eyes a barely used stove should not have any issues in just over 12 mos, but thats just me. I had my rinky Hotpoint Stove for 17 years and not ONE need for repair. Anyway the repairman came and fixed the stove. He replaced the old control panel which means removing around 20 screws un-wiring/detaching and re-wiring a new control panel. Also needs to be mentioned, the control panel on the stove is made of plastic! Now that can be a problem if your stove gets hot. Repair seemed successful but two days later, the timer isnt working. For reference, the timer is in the same place on the panel that warped after using the oven for several hours. Needless to say I am furious. Samsung insists on sending out another repairman, but I want this stove replaced (not with a Samsung if thats possible). If you read the reviews, you have no doubt that this stove is problematic in its design. I watched the repair, and with all the fine wiring on a plastic panel, how will there not be problems? Samsung has been giving me somewhat of a runaround and does not seem to stand behind their product. Im sure problems will continue to occur based on all of the reviews and research Ive done. I have been on the phone with them 5 times. I have another appointment for repair since they say that this is the best that they can do since I am now out of warranty. Im with the other reviewer that says Class Action. I will try to update this review after my next repair visit, but in the interim, this stove is sorely disappointing. Stay away from this stove.

Stainless side-by-side refrigerator model RS263TDRS - I purchased this refrigerator in April 2012, and it was delivered in late May. In January 2013, I noticed rust spots on the door that dispenses the ice and water. A service call to Sears resulted in them sending a third party contractor to determine the cause but to no resolve. Sears did contact another contractor who also could not settle the issue, but they did contact Samsung. A representative from Samsung did arrive a few weeks later to take a picture with a cell phone for Samsung to see my concerns. A week later, after no contact from Samsung, I made a phone call to learn that Samsung considers rust a cosmetic issue and will not do anything about replacing the door! I say it has nothing to do with cosmetics and everything to do with poor quality steel! Why even bother to purchase stainless steel? Samsung is very poor with rectifying customer concerns. This will be the very last product that I will buy from them.

From the day it was installed about a year ago, it leaks badly under the door during the first cycle. It never cleans the dishes well and always leaves funk all over for me to scrape off after. I might as well hand wash! Now the unit will not complete cycle. I have taken it apart a zillion times to clean and inspect. What a piece of **. Locally we have a tire store called Discount Tire. In their TV ad they show a little old lady throwing a tire through their front window and the ad says if youre not satisfied.... bring it back. I wonder what it would sound like when I throw this dishwasher through Lowes front window?

I bought this Samsung RS277ACPN side by side fridge in 2009 at Lowes. A year after the purchase (just couple of months after the warranty expired), the ice maker didnt work, it cost me around $250 to fix the problem. Lately, 30 months after the purchase, the fridge fan motor does not work. The Carter service couldnt repair it due to the evap fan motor part Samsung listed for this model does not fit my fridge when the part arrives. The service man had dealt with Samsung two times for the reorder of the part, and the part still does not fit. So, evap fan motor part no. DA31-00146E is supposed to be the right part, but the actual thing does not match the original motor fan in my fridge. A month went by and my fridge is making a lawn mower noise off and on. The ice is piled up at the bottom of the vegetable drawer. My fridge is not repairable because Samsung does not have the correct part and no one bothers to correct it. Samsung Refrigerator RF 267 Series. We have been very unhappy with our Samsung Refrigerator. We bought it approx 6 years ago and have numerous expensive repairs. A new refrigerator should not require costly repairs to keep it running. Our last repair replaced the guts of the refrigerator and an ice maker part - approx $600. This is just to keep the thing running! We have had to replace 3 of the plastic side shelves (at a heft cost) because they are so cheap that they just broke apart with regular use. WOW - 25 bad reviews in just the past two weeks!! My story is ditto, ditto and ditto. My 2 and 1/2 year old RF261B fridge floods in and under the crisper with such regularity that I now schedule it to be swabbed out on the first of every month! In addition the handle fell off after only a year (and its only myself and my husband in the household so its not like its being abused). Fortunately, he is handy and was able to repair it.The latest problem is that the water dispenser - a feature I love - is now starting to stick intermittently and sometimes cannot be depressed by pushing the glass against the dispenser button, but rather I have to use my finger to depress it in order for it to work. We have always taken good care of our belongings. Our old General Electric fridge was still working great after 24 years when we decided to get a more energy efficient, modern-looking unit. What a mistake that has been! And we paid $1,750 for this constant hassle!Weve put up with this until today, when my husband blew his stack after our monthly dewatering. I contact Samsung Customer Service and she said they had no record of any problems with this model! I copied and pasted several reviews from this site and sent them to her. Since its now out of warranty, she said I could purchase a Samsung Protection Plus Rescue Repair program, which is a service option for consumers who are in need of repair on their product. It is a combination repair/extended warranty program. The program includes the both the cost of the needed repair, (all parts AND labor) plus a one year extended service plan. But of course, she couldnt tell me the cost! I have to call another number on Monday to get that bad news! The thing that irked me most is when she said she had the option to report this back to their engineers! What?! Theyre not REQUIRED to report consumer complaints of this nature to R & D!! I also told her that they needed to do a Google search of Problems with Samsung Refrigerators and see how many other people are reporting the same issues. Georgia of Albuquerque - Im with you! I think we should band together and file a class-action lawsuit. What do you other irate consumers think of this idea? Perhaps someone with more legal expertise would offer their opinion as to what they think the chances are of us winning something like this.

We totally remodeled our kitchen and purchased new stainless appliances. The refrigerator is a Samsung. We paid for it in November of 2014; it was delivered in February 2014, installed in March and began being used on a full time basis on May 23rd of 2014. We had problems beginning immediately and still are having problems. The problem is the ice-maker. We have been told by one repair person Americans like too much ice but he replaced the ice maker which continued to make twenty six cubes a day. I went to the Lowe’s store manager who was to do something but failed to (big surprise there). We waited three more weeks and complained again and asked for another service provider at the encouragement of friends. They were busy and took three weeks to arrive. They ordered a new motherboard which was installed four weeks later. For the month of November and December of 2013 we actually had ice! Then it started coming out crushed and no cubes. Out comes another guy who says it is the auger… Called Samsung and asked for it to be replaced - got nowhere. Repair guy is coming tomorrow to install the auger. The bad news our warranty is gone as of February 7th. Talking to Samsung is like talking to a repeating robot. Now I have spoken with several people who have had ice problems with this model from day one. I am hoping between Lowes and Samsung someone is going to do the right things. I have owned six new refrigerators in six homes and never been through anything like this. To find out Samsung is aware of the defect is even more upsetting. My only choice at this point is to buy a new refrigerator and employ someone to drop this one off at the Lowes front door. I am still paying for my very expensive remodel and intend NOT to pay for the refrigerator. Lets hope someone steps up to the plate real soon!

Samsung wanted two business days to contact the center to set the appointment. After some discussion they agreed to contact the Local Authorized Service Center (Remedy Appliance Service and Repair) while I was on the line. The Samsung Customer rep. disconnected the line without the connection. I tracked the Authorized Service Center down and offered to pay them to look at the machine. An Authorized Service Representative looked at the machine, determined it was not repairable. He took pictures and told us Samsung would call in one to two business days. They did not. I called Samsung, talking to several service representatives. My request was to remove the machine and return my money, as the machine worked less than 24 hours. The washer cost $1,600. I have now been on the phone with four customer service representatives including executive customer service. I have been told after further extensive processing, I might have my money returned in 14 to 21 days, however the process they describe is about four days, requiring further extensive time on our part. Just horrible service.

I bought my Samsung French Door fridge November of 2013. The ice maker has frozen up several times and has cost $700-$1000 to thaw. Its because the door flap gets turned in and you cannot tell the doors didnt shut. Samsung could replace the flap on the door with one that would latch like the newer models. Samsung needs to get out of the appliance business. Read the reviews. Their appliance products are terrible.

Horrible, I got this piece of garbage about 4 months ago for my mother that has rheumatoid arthritis and has a hard time with the dishes. I have yet to enjoy a full load of clean dishes!! At first they said it was a connection problem, then they said the hose was not at the right angle, then they said it was the door that had a problem. After we received the part that was supposedly defective for the door and I was assured it would work. I open the dishwasher and pull out the rack, I find the top sprayer loose at the bottom of the dishwasher. This is ridiculous!! I am paying monthly for a dishwasher that I have not been able to use and everybody just gives me the runaround that its gonna work... A bunch of baloney. I am never buying anything from brandsmart again and I wanted to warn everybody else not to buy a Samsung dishwasher!!

They offered me a store credit and went so far as to give me a number to fax my sales receipt to in order to facilitate said credit and later told me they dont even do store credits!!! Bought the dishwasher in 7/2017. Have had 3 repairs in 10 months and even when its working it does a terrible job and I want it removed and a refund. They absolutely refused despite repeated phone calls even up to someone at the office of the president who gave me the same line. NO REFUNDS, exchange only. No thank you. OMG. So upset I did not read reviews before purchase. My husband found a beautiful Samsung 25.5 cu ft French Door refrigerator at Lowes. It was on sale for 50% off. It had a dent in it. Tiny dent. No big issue. Fortunately we bought the 5 year warranty. Lowes delivered it. At delivery it had several more tiny dents, a deep gouge (small), and a huge crease on the right hand door and all the way down to the freezer door. So much for Lowes delivery service. Freezer not working, fridge not working. Ruined a weeks worth of groceries. Havent even plugged in the ice maker or anything--because we have always heard the ice makers in Arizona are the first to go because of the hard water. Did the reset as suggested in the manual. No go. No response from Samsung and no response from Lowes. So our good deal is really not a good deal at all!

My microwave, purchased in late 2010 finally started showing the dreaded SE error message about two weeks ago. The device appeared to be getting phantom button presses (fortunately not the start button) and beeping until I pulled the power plug. Tried a few times to clean the flex cable connecting the keypad to the controller card, but now that only makes it functional for a day or two. Was amazed to see that this fragile connection spans 8+ years of production. Seeing that this has happened to so many others, makes me feel lucky that I got this much use out of it.

I hate my DMT800 Samsung dishwasher. It does not heat the water nor clean the dishes well. It is about 3 years old and its torn up. There are only certain repair companies that are allowed by Samsung to repair their appliances and some will not repair the appliance if its under warranty. The company I call charges $89.95 for a service call and if they can repair it, they will waiver the service charge. I think that this means it will be expensive to repair it. Fridge ice maker always jams up with ice and cracked the inside, Back panel of the fridge freezes up causing the fan to stop and have to unthaw entire fridge every time. (Bye bye to all your groceries while it takes all day to warm up). Dishwasher racks now need tie straps to hold them up as the brackets continuously crumble into pieces, and we have had to take off the front panel and fix electrical problems, door seal leaks and dishes are ALWAYS coming out dirty. Tried every brand of soap, jet dry, even rinsed dishes before they go in. We even have the one that is suppose to gar-borate your food, doesnt work! Samsung STOVE: electrical plug melted my toaster cord, glass top cracked on its on, Yes, Im very careful and it didnt have a scratch on it, ON ITS ON, while warming up, it cracked. Im very disappointed and hope NO ONE buys from them. What a waste of money when they cant even make it 4 years. When you call the customer service number you get people who can barely speak English and those that can speak English are so hard to understand. My Samsung Refrigerator was a gift from my husband. I was so excited and looking forward to having a new refrigerator. Unfortunately, it has turned out to be a nightmare. The refrigerator was purchased in 2014 along with an extended warranty. Within 6 months the ice maker went out. It took 3 trips to repair it. Within 2 weeks it was out again. It took 4 visits to get it fixed this time and we learned it was a design flaw that Samsung knew about, but refused to correct the problem. Instead Samsung sent out a list of things the technicians could do to try and make the ice makers work longer. Again, it failed and a New Ice Maker was put in. That lasted about 6 months, however it leaked the whole time. Once again the ice maker went out. Same issues as before. Here I sit with the ice maker out yet again with Technicians coming out this week. All the while I am having to purchase Ice, make arrangements to be here for the technicians and listen to the excuses of which NONE are satisfactory. Home Depot and Samsung will not replace the refrigerator, because of an ice maker issue. What is worse now is the water leaking from the ice maker is dripping on the electrical components on the drawer below, which could cause a short or electrical issue. This is a VERY POOR appliance and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Microwave and dishwasher stopped working next. Every time we called Samsung maintenance to come and fix everything, it would get fixed temporarily and we would have to call again. When we called again, they would have an excuse as to why it won’t work. We did this about 4-5 times. RF263BEAESR/AA - We bought this fridge less than two years ago. I agree with the other reviews that it is a bit noisy but thats not the worst problem we have. The ice maker is awful! The ice remains in the chute (in the door) and then melts and leaks out of the dispenser! We end up with water dripping down the front as well as inside the fridge, in the door shelves and under the produce drawer. We have to keep a folded paper towel under the dispenser constantly! We also have to open the door and reach inside the ice chute with a small spoon to scoop out whatever left over ice remains there or else it will melt and leak everywhere! HOW can we all start a class action suit?

We bought a Samsung SMH9187 in April 2011. It started to give intermittent (1/month) SE error and beeping around November 2011. We did not call for repair as the microwave still worked. The microwave completely stopped working in May 2012. We called Samsung to inquire about the error and learn whether there was any chance the warranty would cover it, since it began months before the warranty expired. They attempted to argue that the warranty was from date of manufacture (and thus ended in November 2011, thankful I had my receipt with date of purchase). We were informed that Samsung would pay for the replacement part but not the cost of installing it. Their authorized repair company would call us in 48 hours. We didnt hear anything from them for 5 days. We called Samsung and asked if we could have the part sent directly to us, no, this is against their policy. The authorized service company indicated a cost of $145 to replace the part. However, they cant do anything until Samsung Service includes more information in their service request to the authorized dealer.I contacted Samsung again and asked them to provide me with the part number that needs to be replaced. They gave me the phone number of their authorized parts dealer and told me that this dealer can provide me with the part number. The authorized parts dealer told me that they cant provide me with the part number over the phone. I need to go to their website (samsungparts.com) and look up my model # and use keyword control panel. Im told that the part I need costs $78.98 (she can tell me the price but not the part number?!)I still dont know the part number that Samsung was going to provide me for free, but the website has two parts called control panel for my model of microwave, one of which is $78.98. Luckily, the website does include the part numbers. I checked Sears Parts Direct and found the same part for $40.99. I ordered it, paid $11 shipping, and Im now hoping that the replacement process is relatively simple.I understand that things break, but, after my experience and seeing all the Samsung SE stories on the internet, Samsung products and service are terrible! Im beginning to think that Samsung is purposely making it difficult to learn about the meanings of the error codes and how to repair them, so that you use their service company or buy parts from their overpriced supplier.

Good day, I am writing to you today in regards to an ongoing issue that I have been having with my fridge and the lack of customer service I have been receiving from Samsung. My transaction # **. My fridge was bought in 2012 and I have been having major issues with it since 2014. In 2014 I had to replace the main board because it completely shut down. A few months later, it started making loud noises and leaking from the bottom. As I had just spent $1,100 on the fridge in 2012 and another $425 in 2014 including parts and labor, I was hoping these issues were manageable. Recently it has not been cooling properly and I have lost a lot of food. I have been in contact with numerous departments within Samsung in the past couple of weeks and I did manage to get someone have a Samsung-approved company come out and diagnose it at no charge. When the company came out, they determined that the fridge needed 6 parts and the total including labor would be $628. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with this issue as Samsung is supposed to be of high quality and should stand behind their products. I understand that my product is out of the 1 year warranty but lets be honest, Im looking at having to spend a total of over $1000 in less than 5 years on what is supposed to be a quality product. I am seeking help from Samsung in the cost of fixing my fridge and they all say that there is absolutely nothing they can do for me. I am a loyal Samsung customer with my fridge, washer, TV, Blu-ray and cell phones being Samsung. I am in desperate need of help as soon as possible as I have 2 disabled people that have meds that have to be refrigerated and a 2-year old.

Its known to get so hot it fries the circuit board. Costly repair I had on that one.Washer tears clothes and cant use bleach anymore because it goes through the compartment prematurely and blotches my load. TVs lasted no more than 3 years and my phone sucks. I have wasted so much money let alone time waiting for service people to show... or not to show. Customer service... a total joke. We bought the 345 Ltr RT 35 refrigerator in May 2010 in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. It was working well till May 2015. After which the lower door was not getting closed properly and defrost was not functional. After noting the problem, it was reported to the concerned authority and customer care number provided by Samsung in month of June. We were told to change the position, restart the refrigerator, which did not help. After persistent problem, it was again reported to customer care on 19th Sept. Again the executive told us to lift the lower door, but nobody visited our place. After repeated complaints, one of the technical person came to our place, changed the IC and told us that Your defrosting problem is solved, but door problem cannot be solved as the refrigerator purchase date is more than 5 years old. After pursuing the problem with customer care, we were told that the parts are not available and nothing can be done as company has stopped the production of said model. We have made several calls to customer care but the only answer we could get was, Sorry, we dont have the parts. Had it been before 5 years of date of purchase, we would have got the parts and not now after 5 years and 1 month; and now another version has come up from local dealer saying, It was the last piece of the lot. It was not told to us during purchase and now we are facing problems with the refrigerator, which are still unsolved and may not get solved considering the answers we are getting from customer care. I purchased the new Samsung Waterwall dishwasher (Model dw80h9930US) from HH Gregg this past summer. I almost bought a Bosch but the new features of the Samsung seemed to be a better deal. Besides I already owned a Samsung washer, dryer and refrigerator. After about a month, I noticed the door started popping open during the wash cycle. I would push it back in and it would continue to pop open. I contacted HH Gregg and they informed me I had to contact Samsung. I did and they sent out a repairman who re-positioned the dishwasher and said that was the cause. After he left, I began using it again and the same thing started to happen, the door popped open during a wash cycle. I called them back again and they sent out the same technicians who fiddled with the baskets and thought that the top basket was pushing open the door during the cycle. They wanted to order a new basket for me. In the meantime, I was running the dishwasher and continually pushing in the door when it popped out until one evening, the unit beeped and the code LE appeared. This code was for Leakage and the manual instructed me to turn off my breaker to the dishwasher and call Samsung. Now I was not only without a dishwasher but my disposal was connected to that breaker. I called Samsung and demanded a new unit but they insisted on sending out the technicians again. At this point I had it with Samsung and decided to call HH Gregg. I explained to them my dilemma and they have graciously offered to replace my Samsung with a Bosch. I am overwhelmed with gratitude and will never forget the service I got from HH Gregg. They also were aware of the problems with the Samsung and were willing to help their customers get a dishwasher that works. I will never buy another Samsung product again.

We bought the French door refrigerator from Lowe’s in Jan. 2010. This year rust came through the paint around the edges of the ice and water dispenser. I feel like they should have to fix this on a 2000 dollar refrigerator. They apparently painted over the rust in the factory. I want them to send someone to fix this problem. We should not have to pay to have this done.

Samsung doesnt believe in customer satisfaction, they dont take responsibility of their faulty, defective products. Doesnt even bother to get it fixed even if its a safety hazard. Bought a gas cooking range year ago, gas is leaking from somewhere inside the oven. They have a worst customer service. They want customer to spend money on repairs, seems like, they are making money from there as well.

We will never buy any Samsung appliances after our experience with them. We bought the Samsung RS22HDHPNSR/AA Refrigerator and within 2 months the ice maker stopped working. That is something we could live with. Then 1 year later, I noticed the freezer was defrosting and everything in the refrigerator was warm. Lights and power still worked but it was no longer cooling. We lost all of our food and I tried calling Samsung support but was directed to calling back during business hours. We are family of 5 with three small children, including a baby so not having a working refrigerator is stressful. My husband and I could not find a company open on the weekend that could service a Samsung. Two days later was a Monday and we finally got in touch with Samsung but our refrigerator was 1 year and 2 months old, not covered under warranty. They sent an appliance company, which we had to pay, for them to tell us the cooling system went out and no one can fix it. We told Samsung and they said they will do research since the cooling system is under warranty for 5 years. Still no word after numerous calls, holds, and terrible customer service. Finally they got back to us with no one can fix it, that we can submit our receipts for reimbursement, which we did. Then we moved ahead with buying a new refrigerator (different brand this time!) because it had already been 1 week without one and that is hard to do with small kids. Lowes was extremely helpful and hauled away the old one. We had to follow-up with Samsung AGAIN regarding the receipt/reimbursement. Terrible customer service, hold times for 40 minutes and longer, and they tell us they got our receipts and to hold onto the broken machine. Never once at the start of this process did they share that policy. We tried to track down its location with Lowes (Lowes again was extremely helpful) and find out it went to the same company who did the service call called that company and it had already been recycled. I called Samsung with again terrible customer service and they just keep repeating the policy even though we were told once we submitted our receipts everything was done. I asked if they hauled away the broken (dangerous machine with Freon in it) and they said Samsung does not provide that service that, I should have put it on my front porch. So I asked if they pay condo association fees for having broken and dangerous appliances outside my townhouse. What about the food we lost? Not to mention the stress and poor customer service, I would never recommend buying a Samsung anything to anyone. Samsung sells expensive refrigerators that stop working after 1 year and have the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Samsung Warranty Service. Replaced all my kitchen appliances with Samsung a few months ago. Happy with them generally but fridge/freezer suddenly stopped cooling. Samsung Call Center has dispatched the ticket to 3 different Authorized Warranty Service Centers over two days. All Service Centers have declined as they say they cannot repair Compressor/Sealed Unit as they are. I forced the Call Center to escalate to their dispatch center which then tried to send another service provider who declined to come as they were not qualified or equipped to do the work. Two days without a TV is manageable. Two days without a fridge is not. I had to buy a new freezer to save my frozen meat and food. Needless to say, Freezer is not a Samsung. Still have not reached anyone at Samsung who can make a decision. Thanks for the Melty Mess in my new kitchen, Samsung.

Had this refrigerator for 10 years and had problems with the freezer size. The service dept sucks!!! With Samsung, no regular appliance repair will touch it since they cannot source any spares unless you are an authorized service center. Result = lousy service!! We had the tech come in last month and after talking to some superiors over the phone half the time, said it was a thermostat issue. No spare on hand despite the fact that the symptoms were well described to the Samsung call in center over 2 calls of 30 mins each. Replaced a thermostat which he claimed was not meant for this model and guess what? Broke down in 1 month and had to call again. Despite asking for not sending the same guy again, they sent him. Fine, this time he opened out the fridge fully and claimed some more parts are defective and could not explain why this could not be determined earlier. Anyway, long story short, we went out and bought a GE fridge and decided NEVER SAMSUNG again.

Same problem as Ashok of San Diego - the water dispenser on our Samsung refrigerator turned itself on around 2am and kept running, flooding our kitchen. The onboard computer threw error code PC ER and shut down the entire machine (except for closing the water valve), not even the light inside would go on when we opened the door. It made a huge mess. We now know from reading this board and from several other sources that there have been numerous problems with ice/water dispensers across many Samsung models. Our model # is RSG257AARS and the unit is just 2 months out of its 1 year warranty. We contacted @SamsungSupport via Twitter. They were polite but will do nothing to stand behind their product. Granted we just missed the warranty period but this is an established, well documented, and widespread problem, an obvious design/manufacturing defect (just read this board!). Rhetorically, who ever heard of a water dispenser turning itself on overnight and causing a flood? Is that not egregiously unacceptable for a one year and two month old, very expensive appliance? Our trusted, local appliance repair guy says it would cost $600 to fix, as the PC ER code represents a massive electronics failure. He doesnt even want to tackle the job at all because he thinks that even with replacement parts installed, its very likely to reoccur due to the low quality of Samsung components, and he doesnt want to be responsible. He researched and found that Samsung has huge problems with its water/ice makers. We purchased the fridge at Lowes, thinking we were getting a good price relative to competitors products, given the features and sleek (looking) design. You get what you pay for, folks. Dont fall for the pretty face. I will never, ever buy another Samsung appliance and I will continue to be vocal about my experience in hope that I can persuade others to avoid doing so also.

We paid almost $700.00 for this dw80f600uts dishwasher, first trouble within 6 months of installation. We contacted Samsung. We basically got the run-around until the dishwasher was out of warranty. They told us they would send a technician but we were never contacted back. We have an extremely busy schedule and I cannot afford to take a day off work so someone can look at my dishwasher. This dishwasher was one of the more expensive dishwashers when we purchased it. We were told it was extremely high quality, better than BOSCH which was in the same price range. We had a Bosch at our old home. It lasted 6 years (may still be running today?) without a problem.

We purchased a Samsung french door refrigerator in 2012. It has an external ice and water, along with the bottom freezer and a drawer that has various options. Since 2014, we have had significant problems with the ice maker. The repair person has been here 5-6 times attempting to fix what he calls a manufacturing and engineering defect. Apparently he has seen this problem multiple times. It doesnt make ice, then it makes ice but it all melts and refreezes in a solid block. It continued this cycle over and over until it burned out its fan. Multiple calls to Samsung have gotten me nowhere except that I have now spent nearly $1000 trying to fix a $2500 appliance that is still brand new.

My Samsung refrigerator is just 1 year old and the technicians have visited almost every month due to one or the other problem. It started just over a month when I realized that any fruit or vegetable I kept outside the vegetable compartment had ice in it. Even the cooked vegetables if kept in the back of the shelf had ice in it. I kept on complaining this issue to Samsung Customer Service. Every time they will send a technician who will change the part and go. It was more of a pain as I couldnt use the fridge to full capacity. As instructed by technicians there were so many things which I shouldnt put in certain shelves or the size of boxes. I kept away leftovers or anything cooked/half cooked. I dont remember till date if I ever had to be so careful in using the refrigerator. I couldnt use half of the space in refrigerator fearing it will get spoiled. Not only that, my refrigerator stopped working completely 3 times in just a span of 1 year. Again they had to change the parts. I kept on calling them and asking them to change the refrigerator as it was giving me so many problems (not to forget just in 1 year- full warranty period) but they just turned deaf ear to my requests, even when I contacted their supervisor. Ill never ever recommend Samsung refrigerator to anyone after this experience. It looks like every time the warranty expires, Ill have to keep purchasing extended warranty and bear with the refrigerator. This Samsung product has been a big pain in the ass.

We purchased a new Samsung Refrigerator two months ago. (French doors with two drawers) Overall, I am satisfied with the refrigerator, with the exception of nothing really fits inside the left side door shelves. The issue I am having was with the customer support area. We spilled ice tea in the refrigerator and it has seeped under the glass on the bottom shift. I contacted the 1 800 726 7864 phone number and was told it would be over a 30 minute hold time and I could leave a number for a return call from a technician and I did. The call back was from an individual with not a technician with experience. She more interested in collecting purchasing data than support and I final explained all I wanted was help in how to remove the shelf so I could clean it. There was a long hold and she was looking up answers from a prompter and taking more time to key the conversation than help. Since I was having issues understanding the person and we were wasting our time I asked to be transferred to someone else. I was told they could not do that because the call came to her area basically. Totally disappointed in there customer support for such easy question. If you purchase from Samsung you will get little support from customer services.

Bad product support & bad quality product: Samsung product is not working (product model no. 180 LITER, model name: Samsung double door)I’m frustrated after buying the Samsung refrigerator product and I m not satisfied with the service of this product. I bought the Samsung fridge last year. Now I have a lot of troubles at the present. It is not working. There is a major problem; the refrigerator is not working. Kindly register my complaint and replace the refrigerator I bought. If the Samsung refrigerator is not put into use by you or your authorized representatives, I will be left with no other option but to seek the legal assistance of the appropriate forum to get my grievances redressed.I am not really happy with the way your after care service centre is functioning, since they are simply interested in charging the customers rather than addressing the issue/problem rightfully. I hope you will understand my mental agony and the problem I have been facing all these days and set the issue amicably, since it is the responsibility and duty of the producing firms to attend to the customer’s needs. But yeah, Samsung has a very bad after sale support. They basically sell you the stuff and then forget about you after that. They dont care about the complaints, and they dont stand behind their products. I will never purchase another Samsung product again. I dont care how good they are. There are always alternatives, and I would rather deal with a reputable and ethical company. I want to replace my Samsung refrigerator immediately. I have very bad experience with Samsung product. Even I dont know where I am supposed to go with my complaint. What should I do? I will never purchase any Samsung product again, even suggest others to buy Samsung product. I am requesting you to see the matter and try to solve my problem.

I purchased my refrigerator on the 16-7-13 model SR690GDLS, 7 months later there was a bubble in the door underneath the water dispenser. The whole door was replaced on the 1-4-17 and the top drip tray part that was faulty in its design as it had holes in it so the water would drip into the bottom tray. This was replaced with one that did not have any holes in it so the water could not go in to the bottom tray. I was told that this would fix the problem. Then after 3 months the plastic around the glass started to crack. I had them replaced on the 4-8-14. Samsung rang me a few days later and said they were extremely sorry for all the trouble and sent me two movie tickets. Two weeks later I notice another bubble on the new door. I rang Samsung again, they sent another door out and another top drip tray with no holes and replaced them on the 9-9-14 only 5 months since the last door was fitted. I suggested to the repairman that the underneath tray may be the faulty one as it was not replaced last time and that the same thing has happened again and that may be the problem and could he please replace that part also. He said that I would have to ring Samsung and order it so I rang Samsung while he was finishing off and they asked to speak to him. He told them that it wasnt faulty and that he replaced what was sent. I then explained the situation again to Samsung and said that that was his opinion. But my opinion is that it must be faulty as it is the only part that has not been replaced and I have had the same problem and do not want it to happen again. She said she would order the part and call me back. 30mins later she called and said they did not think that the part is faulty and that if I ask them to send it out, I have to pay for it. As you can see I am not happy with this situation and the problem is not fixed as I do not have a guarantee that it will not happen again.

Word to the wise.. Never buy kitchen appliances from Sears as they have no service department. Their service work is subbed out to other companies. When you call them for service work you will be talking to someone who sounds like he or she is from Pakistan or Korea. They are extremely expensive and you have to work around their schedule. I have owned a new SAMSUNG Refrigerator for less than five years. We purchased the three-year warranty when we purchased it, but it did us no good as the Refrigerator quit working and couple of months, after the warranty expired. The unit started to make a clicking noise and then it quit cooling. The service guy shows up after going through the circus of getting him out there to tell us that the unit is frozen and he sees this issue quite often. He charges me $225.00 to defrost the frozen motor and he tries to sell me another one year warranty for $300 plus dollars. Its now 13 months later and we are experiencing the same symptoms. The fan motor starts the clicking noise and the unit quits cooling. I called Samsung to let them know what was going on and to see if they help me out because of the lemon that I purchased from them. They were not willing to work with me in any way. I have a KitchenAid refrigerator outside that I have owned for ten plus years and I havent had the first problem with the unit. Lets start with rust. Within the first 8 months, the entire front of this stainless, EXPENSIVE refrigerator that I bought at HOME DEPOT, was COVERED in rust spots. Home Depot said to look to the manufacturer warranty. However Samsung wouldnt do ANYTHING because they said that it did not affect functionality. The HECK?! If you bought a brand new car and it was covered with rust within the first year, heck, 3 years, dont you KNOW that the manufacturer would have either replaced or corrected. This brand is for crap. Let go to functionality. The humidity controlled drawers do NOT control humidity. They are CONSTANTLY wet and RUIN the foods placed in them NO MATTER THE SETTING. We have to keep towels in the bottom or take up space with boxes of Arm&Hammer. Ridiculous. The setting print on the drawers has already begun to WASH OFF, yes WASH OFF with just regular wipe downs. This year and a half old fridge looks and functions as if its TEN years old. I cant wait to get rid of it. Maybe Ill buy one of their cell phones and blow it up. The ICE MAKER... Also terrible. The ice doesnt fall evenly or have a guard on the back. So all of the ice falls into the back of the tray. When you open it, a rush of ice falls out the back of the freezer drawer. No idea how much is back there at this point. I suppose Ill have to get it out eventually... Somehow. Smaller inconveniences: The shelves in this fridge are completely white, not clear. So any small jar or other item you have stored in them will never be seen. And will likely be forgotten. Additionally, the glass shelves are not removable like so many other refrigerators. So if you experience a spill, theres no way of getting the substance out of the crevices of the plastic and the glass. I literally hate this refrigerator. Its utterly worthless. And is NOT QUIET. If youre looking to buy a fridge and interested in this one, Ive got one Ill sell ya CHEAP.

Terrible design on water dispenser. It actually dispenses back at an angle, making it impossible to fill water bottles, but worse causes a constant drip of water that did not make it into any container. There is no reservoir for overflow, so once the shallow holding area is full, water gets all over the floor, when opening the door. In 2015, we purchased a $1200.00 Samsung Dishwasher, model DW80J755 Series, and started having problems in April of 2018 with an error code LC. The repair was made under warranty and also was found that the dishwasher had faulty installation of the waterline, which was crimped. The same error code LC, was again present on the dishwasher of June 2019. Once again, a repair was done to rectify this problem and it was under warranty. Forward to November 2020, and for the third time in as many years, the error code LC came up. The dishwasher is no longer under warranty by 3 weeks. A call to the appliance store we bought it from, said they would send an estimator out for $175.00 just for an estimate which didn’t cover repair, labor or parts! A call to Samsung’s Customer Service on Nov. 23rd, had the gentleman tell me because this has been an ongoing problem for the last 3 years, we qualify for a new dishwasher. The process was to give me a ticket # (**), send it for approval and someone would call & email me within 3-5 business days. As of today, Dec. 3rd, no one has contacted us and so I called Samsung to get an update only to be told that it is still being reviewed. Then I was told that they couldn’t accommodate us with repairs or a new dishwasher. Then they put me over to their Exchange & Refund team where Chris pretended, he didn’t hear me talking after saying Hello, Hello, Hello, 3 times, and he hung up on me. So, here we are with a $1200.00, 5-year-old dishwasher that has had the same error code 3 years in a row and have gotten no satisfaction from the manufacturer and no use of the dishwasher for almost 2 weeks!

I have this fridge for 1.5 years. Love the size, but milk is always going sour before the expiry date; cheese molding; and leftovers didnt last. Rationalized all these things - must be leaving the milk out too long, must have dirty kids hands touching the cheese, etc. Because the digital temperature reading said it was 34 deg in the fridge, it must be accurate right? Wrong! Verification by 3 separate mercury and digital thermometers show that the fridge compartment temp runs 40-50 deg and thats in winter (wonder how warm it had been running last summer!). This is everywhere in the fridge compartment, top shelf, bottom shelf, door, right next to the ice maker, etc. I cannot find any place in the fridge that runs less than 40 degrees. In hindsight, no wonder food was spoiling! The fridge programming will not allow the temperature to be set any lower than 34F. Service technician has replaced the main control board and the digital touch screen assembly. Have not resolved the problem. I phoned Samsung customer support and was only told that since the factory warranty is expired, they can and will do nothing. Suspecting a design flaw that they are aware of. I will update if ever fixed. Freezer and flex-drawer hold reasonable to programmed temperature (generally 2-6 degrees above programmed temp, sometimes 10 degrees higher), but those compartments have larger programming range. Can program the freezer to -8 and the flex-drawer to 29, so even if they run higher than programmed, it is OK for food storage. But even with fridge set as low as it will go (34), it still is too warm for safe food storage.

We purchased the appliance through Home Depot and they sent the approved tech who replaced the digital sensors and panels. Still, the refrigerator did not get down to nor maintain the required temp.We had the repairman out again; they replace more items. We removed the ice maker altogether and no difference ensued. My husband went back to Home Depot yesterday asking that they replace this fairly expensive appliance and we were told that since the warranty had run out that they would not be replacing it. What does this mean? If we had not bought the warranty and just had them out over and over would it have forced a replacement? These digital display and sensor units are just not engineered well! We will not ever buy another and are thinking of looking for older refrigerators at vintage repair places. Apparently the idea is to get us used to expecting **, buying warranties and subsidizing the industry! !

I replaced 15-year old Sears Kenmore appliances with what I believed to be top of the line Samsung appliances. Boy, did I learn a lesson. Problem number 1: the oven dead shorted a heating element. We had a service man out for the repair. He didn’t have the parts. Evidently, Samsung replacement parts are not well stocked or easy to get. We made our own repairs. Problem number 2: the refrigerator ($2700 French door, freezer below) started leaking water under the deli tray and freezing. This appliance has a service plan and the service tech was contacted. It took two weeks to get the part, which was shipped in to our house from California. He made the repairs. The problem was solved for a while.Six months later there is water in the same location. Problem number 3: microwave door handle broke off at the mount. Cheap plastic connection between metal and plastic. Then the key pad started dead shorting and shutting down the breaker. The problem only occurs when you set time and run machine. It doesn’t occur when the preset buttons are utilized. Samsung appliances all less than 2 years old all have problems. The replacement parts are scarce to find except online. All the service techs I spoke with spoke very poorly about Samsung appliances in general. I am completely done with Samsung forever. I just had to replace our 15-year old Kenmore dishwasher. I didn’t even consider Samsung even though it would match our other appliances. I am only going to buy American made appliances in the future. They may not be as high tech or fancy looking, but they work and last and you can get replacement parts. 3 Samsung appliances, 3 bad experiences, 3 strikes--you’re out.
