Stainless steel that is used doesnt clean well and dings very easily. The interior is very well lit and all the glass shelves and crisper drawers are adjustable. How ever on the freezer side the water from the ice & water on the door drips inside the door and the drawer freezes close.

We purchased all our appliances for our new home. Everything still works but our icemaker on our Samsung Refrigerator. We paid 2,000 plus for this item and icemaker maybe worked 6 months. All froze up and leaks down from of our refrigerator. It is such an inconvenience, to have to fill ice trays and break our own ice. Having the drawer for a freezer is hard to place ice trays and it takes up space to store the ice we made. I called Samsung and they are denying any issues with their icemakers. Lady acted like she had never heard of this issue. I feel like we are living in the dinosaur age with this, but I cant justify buying a new refrigerator and we shouldnt have to, Samsung needs to repair this defective product that they sold to hundreds of people like me.

I love the Samsung refrigerator that I have. I have had two bad experiences with the ice maker, though. I currently am unable to make ice unless I thaw the ice maker until there is no more ice collected on the surface. It is a two day process. It will work again if I have time and inclination to do the thawing.

This refrigerator is the best of the best. Purchased model with the refrigerated drawer. Perfect for cheese, eggs, lunch meat and canned soda. The ice maker is quiet and produces good quality ice. The filter gives clean odorless water for drinking. The freezer is large in capacity and has more than enough space for all our frozen foods. Love Samsung.

I bought a Samsung dishwasher Model# DW80F600UTS/AA about 6 months ago. Its no good and did not work out of the box. I was getting an error code that it would not drain on start-up. I had to call for service, explained the problem and a tech was scheduled to come and repair it in a week. Tech came, replace faulty part and it finally ran for the first time. Sure it ran but it has never cleaned the dishes very well and it always leaves a powdery residue on everything. The insides of the dishwasher has a build up of powdery residue in certain areas as well, especially on the bottom. Also I have noticed that it smells when I open the door even with no new dirty dishes in it. You would think that from a place where you pull clean dishes from that it wouldnt have a musty odor coming from it. It just makes me sick to know I have a new expensive dishwasher and I wind up cleaning more dishes by hand than I put in my dishwasher. I also bought Samsung microwave oven and stove but have not had a problem yet except that the clocks have to be reset every 30 months because one run fast and the other runs slow. From what I have been reading I am bracing myself for the other appliances to give me problems. I have not bought the fridge yet and I guarantee it wont be a Samsung! Best of luck to all of those who do not heed the warnings of myself and the others who have posted here.

3 yr old Samsung French fridge started frosting over inside walls, melting then flooding floor, spoiling milk, veggies and frozen items, molding foods. Ice maker doesnt work, loud motor and barking sound (both intermittent). Called Samsung, gave me name and phone for certified technician - 7/1/14. First appt for a tech - 7/14. Tech needed to order part. Two-3 wks later tech returned...wrong part. Had to order different part. Tomorrow is 9/1/14. All summer with broken, erratic fridge, multiple calls to Master Tech and Samsung customer service, lots of I understand how you feel and Im sorry for your problem and no call backs...but lots of frustration and rotten foods. All summer and no fridge.

Got rid of a 27 year old Kenmore refrigerator so we could experience the newer, energy efficient fridges of today....BIG mistake! Dont get me wrong, its a beautiful appliance, but, I want my Kenmore back! Clearing the ice from the fan and the build up in the ice maker are becoming chores that I NEVER had to do with my old fridge. Every couple of months we have to unload the fridge to access the back panel to melt the ice built up around the fan. At least once a month we have to clear the ice around the ice maker to get the ice maker to work again. Along with those issues, we have standing water under our drawers and the baseboard trim around our cabinets are mysteriously deteriorating...Im assuming its from the fridge leaking, due to mass runoff of the ice melting! Our model is: Samsung refrigerator RF28HDEDBSR/AA. STAY AWAY! Youve been warned!

Really, $600 to fix my Samsung fridge for a problem that should be covered by warranty. Fan stopped working after massive ice build up behind back panel inside the fridge. A problem that has a class action lawsuit for poor product quality. Next time I will pay more attention to bad product reviews. See https://www.classaction.org/ to find if your fridge is on this list, many of them are. Samsung refuses to acknowledge the massive problem with their product. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product. PERIOD.

While Samsung has become reliable in their TV and cellphone line, much improvements in quality are desired in their appliance line. A Samsung dryer - a recent model that I got, broke down within 1.5 years and their paid service appointment was more than a week wait, leaving the appliance downtown for the consumer. Samsung fridge that I bought had numerous issues including, water leaks that damaged wooden floor, fan not turning, icing in fridge section, sensors needing replacement and such, over the years of its use.Irony is that while these appliances are styled well with their electronics and such, underlying functional quality of their latest appliances as well was seen driven by relative poor quality components that will guarantee repairs past their warranty period. The feedback to the quality department is simple - learn from quality of LG and improve component quality to enhance on the on the functional reliability for the appliance to function trouble free for about 5 years at the minimum. Short of that, itll leave a bad taste in customer use, forcing them to look at brands with better quality.

At what point does a company read these and take action? Purchased Family Hub French Door 2.5 months ago. Freezer failed, lost everything, missed 4 half days of work dealing with 3rd party service companies who didnt know what was wrong or how to fix it. 14 calls with Samsung service department. 12 emails, in the meantime ice machine failed and now the upper fridge area failing. At $2,499 youd think they would care/value the experience and take action, but were on day 38 and still waiting for a remedy. I stood at Home Depot and personally persuaded 7 customers not to buy this fridge and they listened. Your ** product and service cost me lost wages and time during failed service calls so I figured Im only halfway to the break even point of costing you fridge sales. And I realize nobody in your service department gets paid enough to care, but hopefully someone in your product management and marketing team care enough to read reviews.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher in 2013 from Lowes. Initially it worked fairly well, however, just like everyone else that has purchased this model, error codes such as E9 started in less than 6 months of use. I watched the videos online and can now take it apart like a professional. Now it is broken again, in a new and inventive way. The rubber parts inside have become soft and need to be replaced. I hope that is the only problem, but doubt it. I purchased this model because it was highly rated as quiet. Yes, it is quiet, especially when it doesnt work.

My Samsung refrigerator ice maker is leaking and icing up. I had an appliance repair company look at the problem and was informed that the repair would require the replacement of the ice maker, auger motor kit and clip pack. The parts totaled $497.39, plus $165 labor along with $39.07 tax, total $686.46. The repairman gave me all the part replacement information and recommended that I contact Samsung Customer service since the problem I am having is common for this model, RF28HMEDBSR/AA. The customer service rep looked up the serial number and said that the ref is three years old and that the ice maker is only under warranty for one year. I said, You mean that Samsung believes that the ice maker should only last one year plus and the ref and freezer should last five years. He stated that he could do nothing because that is the Samsung policy. My recommendation is DO NOT PURCHASE A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher, model DMT800RHS, S/N A3J7G9MCB02679R, paying just under $1000. After the very first load, it did not clean the dishes. The old dishwasher I had, prior to purchasing the Samsung, performed better! Attempts to get Samsung to replace the dishwasher failed. I have to wash the dishes by hand completely, 100%, before placing in the dishwasher. It gets NOTHING off! Why even have a dishwasher? Im upset because this company should stand behind their product, especially one that is in that price point. Shame on Samsung. Will be replacing this one, and it absolutely bothers me that I made such a costly mistake with a company I thought was reputable.

After some time I like a hairline crack in the plastic at the front of the tray above the vegetable and fruit drawers. Sir, I dont understand what is the problem in this fridge. This series DW80F600 dishwasher showed signs of high temperature heating errors when it was only 10 months old. We called support and were told that it would cost a certain amount ($273.43 to be exact) to have someone come and look at the machine. Just look at it, not fix it! WE went ahead and had them look at the problem and of course, the part needed wasnt under any sort of warranty. Now just over a year old and we are are stuck with a $498.75 bill for a machine that still doesnt work. The error lights came back on the very next day! We could have purchased a brand new dishwasher for much less and gotten much better results. I am warning all who think purchasing this machine, to rethink that plan!! This is the worst dishwasher on the market.

Has anyone been able to contact and resolve issues with their Samsung refrigerators? Has anyone taken legal action? I bought my refrigerator four years ago from Sears. As I sit here typing this comment, my fabulous product is sitting over there broken! This makes the third time that the temperature sensor has failed and have lost all of my food. The second time the sensor went out, no one keeps these parts on hand and it had to be ordered from the manufacturer overseas. This ONLY took seven weeks to get here. Thankfully, I have a home warranty policy and they have repaired it. Well, my luck has run out. The repairman who came out yesterday told the warranty company that the sensor failed causing other parts failures. Now the warranty company is telling me that my policy wont cover this because if a warrantied part causes other equipment failures, the company wont cover them. This means $338, plus the $60 service call, out of MY pocket. The first two repairmen told me that Samsung appliances are ABSOLUTE JUNK!!!! Has anyone been able to get any action from Samsung or has anyone taken any legal action? Im in!!!

Ive had the Samsung Chef Collection WaterWall Dishwasher for less than 1 year. When the new appliance suite (range, fridge, microwave, & dishwasher) were to be installed, the dishwasher did not work on day 1. They said it was electrical & ordered a new one. A few weeks later the new one was put in. I swear to God you need to wash the dishes before you put them in to be washed. I found out later that there is no heater in the unit to keep the water to temperature. The repair man told me to run the hot water in my sink before turning on the dishwasher, that may help. SERIOUSLY? My $1,600 dishwasher needs the sink water to run? Now Im 10 months in, loaded the dishwasher & nothing. No power again. Fuse is fine. Waiting for repair man to show.

I purchased a Samsung 24.73 ft 4 door French door refrigerator Model #RF25HMEDBSR in August of 2017. Not sure how long I had it when the ice maker started freezing up and had to be defrosted with a BAIRD dryer. Called for repair the first time in February of 2018. They replaced the entire ice maker, however it started freezing up again. Repair sent out again on May 14, 2018. The technician tells me the entire refrigerator need to be replaced and someone will call me within 24-48 hours. No call, I call Samsung and I am told, WE DONT CALL you, I am told to submit receipts and someone will contact me. I submit my receipts and receive a phone call on the 22 of May to send a better picture of the receipt.May 23rd I received an email stating the exchange has been approved and someone from the Lowes where I purchased it should give me a call within 5 business days. 5 days later no call. May 31st. I call Samsung, they tell me the exchange is finished on their end and I need to contact the local Lowes. Call Lowes, they have not received the RMA (return merchandise authorization). I provide the number and they contact Samsung to request it be sent again. June 1st - Lowes calls, RMA received. They are required to come and pick up the refrigerator, refund it then they can order the new one... I call Samsung, and explain how I am not ok with this, The bottom line is, they don’t care. The angel in this scenario is Jessica (and Dianne) assistant manager at Lowes in Santa Clarita California. She is willing to order the replacement without having the old unit back. Because its a special order will take 10 days to get to the store. That puts me at the 14th of June, almost exactly 1 month from the date of my 2nd repair and the day I get on a plane to go to Europe for 2 weeks. Here’s the Bottom line, Samsung did nothing to make this an easy process and they don’t care. I just stumbled on this site and can see this is a known issue and they have done nothing to fix the problem. During manufacturing or after the units were purchased.

The technician tells me and the Samsung representative the parts are not covered. Samsung representative tells me the evaporator fan and sensor are not covered because they are not part of the cooling system. On March 15, 2013 we bought a Samsung French Door Smart Refrigerator (model # RF263BEAEWW/AA) from Home Depot, along with a 5-yr extended warranty. The ice maker was a little loud, but we could live with it. It was the perfect size, and had everything we needed. One yr and 10 months after we bought it, it stopped working on Dec. 23. There is only 2 people in our household, so it was not like someone was in and out of the refrigerator all day. On Dec. 29 the repairman came out and he said we needed a new compressor and he had to order the part. On Jan 12 the repairman returned with the compressor, but then said the freon had leaked out (which he could have found if he had brought the proper tools on the 1st visit) and as a result had spewed oil into all the coils and now everything had to be replaced, and he needed to order the parts! On Jan 16, we were told the parts would be in on Jan. 20..but by Jan. 30 they had not come in and we were told they were on back order. At this point, we had been without a refrigerator for ONE month! Home Depot finally reimbursed us for the cost of what we paid for the refrigerator, but it wasnt enough to cover a like model, in another brand. Once we knew the refrigerator could not be fixed, we wanted to return 2 Samsung water filters we had bought last year, to the cost of $154.00. The boxes have never been opened, but when I called Samsung parts representative, J & J International, they said they were unreturnable. Apparently, you only have 30 days to return parts, even if unopened! I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again. Buyer beware, their products get good reviews, but if anything happens, it is impossible to get parts or any customer satisfaction!!

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher, model DD81-01549A_EN a little over a year and a half ago. It is the worst purchase I have ever made. The dishes do not come clean unless you wash them prior to putting them in the dishwasher (kind of defeats the purpose). If you have cereal bowls, forget about finding a good way to load them. The bottom rack tines are at an odd angle and hold some plates too close together. The silverware must be rinsed and loaded working end up, and dont put 2 spoons in the same bin. I followed all of the manufacturer recommendations for loading and running the piece of crap. It is the worst dishwasher I have ever used. A total waste of money. I should have spent a little more for a different brand. Will never buy Samsung again. Customer service said sorry, you must be loading it wrong. Dont waste your money.

Ive come from a string of GE refrigerators that always seemed to disappoint me in one way or another. Most of the problems were related to not holding the desired temperature in both refrigerator and freezer compartments. I also experienced problems with excess moisture in the freezer compartment and ice makers/ice water dispensers that never worked properly. The water dispenser always froze up unless I raised the temperature to an unsafe level. Very poor design. The Samsung French door unit has worked perfectly for about 1 1/2 years, but it does make a lot of strange noises. So far this appears to be a quality unit that works as expected.

Purchased our refrigerator (RF23HCED) a little over two years ago. Problems right away. So happy we added the five year Service Contract when purchasing. The design of the drawers is such that they are extremely difficult to remove for cleaning. The vegetable drawer has places where dirt gets into but you can’t reach to clean. Gross! And then there are the ice makers. Both have been replaced already. Still the top ice maker barely functions. The serviceman and I are like personal friends. I would NOT recommend this refrigerator! How to fix Samsung microwave SE Code - We had the exact same problem ... SE code out of the blue, keypad wouldnt work at all. I have the solution and all you need is a Phillips head screwdriver, no skill required for the rest. I searched internet, found a YouTube video on how to take the panel apart. Unplug your microwave, follow directions to take panel off - a 5 minute job. Unplug and replug blue and white connectors...easy. Take some rubbing alcohol and wipe off that green ribbon (I read this a lot on other sites). While you have everything apart, wipe down the inside, there was some gook behind the panel so I figured, what the heck. I put it back together, plug it in. We havent had any problems since. Save your money, this is a very easy fix. I feel like the quality of every thing these days is cheap, made overseas **, so having this happen in under 24 months did not surprise me. Im just glad I didnt get ripped off further by Samsung telling me a professional repairman was needed. It was a 20 minute fix from start to finish, maybe less.

Ceramic cook top model# NES595ROABWW/AA - Cooking eggs on stove then all of a sudden pop and crack!! I had no idea where it came from... lifted up the pan (light in weight) and there were cracks. I called and got an appointment. A service tech came out, called Samsung... the person said it was not covered because the customer broke it. Drop damage. I never dropped anything on it. We have had the stove 4 months!! Service tech sent pics. Samsung refused to cover it under warranty. There is no indications that anything was dropped on it. They just want money and dont want to deal with customers. We have a Samsung Fridge, Washer and cell phones. Wish I never would have purchased any of their products! They are the worst company I have ever felt with!! I will never buy another Samsung product. Neither should anyone else!!

On July 2016 I purchase all my kitchen appliances from Samsung at Best Buy. Unfortunately its not a year of purchase and I had a very bad experience which I believe its not fair for any consumer. First, they advertises that the appliances are stainless steel, which is not. It is hard to clean. On the range side the flat top is also hard to clean and it scratches easily, which it shouldnt happen due to the fact that that is a every day use item with multiple use. I dont accept the fact that they are saying that it is cosmetic and also is tear and wear before a year of purchase. I live alone and barely cook for this to happen. Im very disappointed with this product and the way that they handle and washes off the responsibility of the quality of their products. This is not an item that costs $100 or less we are speaking of an item that the price is over a $1,000. Unfortunately according to them there is nothing to be done.

I bought this dishwasher from LOWES along with a matching Stove, Refrigerator and Microwave because I had all white appliance and the Refrigerator went bad after ten years so, I decided I wanted all my appliances to match and stainless steel seemed to be the trend. I bought Samsung because I ran a Circuit City and all our Samsung TVs were the best. 6 months after I purchased the Samsung appliances my wife started to complain about the dishwasher saying the dishes were not getting clean and then she complained that the detergent dispenser didnt open and then it was not finishing the washing cycle. We then called LOWES and told them the problem and they said make sure its a real problem because if they call out a repair person and there is nothing wrong they would charge us.So, I decided to look online to see if I could trouble shoot the problem. I found hundreds of people with the same problem as me. One of them claimed to have a fix. Take apart the Drain cover and clean the white sensor and then put it back together. I did exactly that, and it fixed the problem... for about two months. Then I had to take it apart again and clean the sensor, solving the problem for another 2 months. This has gone on every two months for about a year now and I am beyond disgust with Samsung. So I went back to the internet to see if there might be a more permanent fix to my problem only to find hundreds more people and complaints on the same dishwasher with the same problem. Still no permanent fix to be found just lots of frustrated people like me venting about their disappointment. I cant afford to buy all new appliances only 1 1/2 years later so I will be stuck taking my dishwasher apart every two months for several years to come. However, at the very least I can complain and just maybe it will keep someone else from making the same purchase mistake.

The refrigerator crispers have water in them after a defrost cycle. I was told by the factory that it is just out of warranty. I researched the same problem other people had so I could try to fix the problem. I removed the back cover and installed a short wire into the drain and wrapped it around the defrost heater because the drain line is icing up but a month or so later the same problem is happening again. Samsung refrigerators are junk and there should be a recall because this is a factory defect.

We have been using this dishwasher for two years and regret the day that we bought it. The only positive thing we can say is that it’s quiet. If you like doing separate loads for plates/small items and a separate load for pots & pans /storage containers then this unit is for you. PROBLEMS: The lower rack at front has a set of three rows of tines that don’t allow for easy placement of small plates. If you try to use the front and middle rows, they are too close to the front of the rack for anything but saucers. (If you use saucers) If you try to use the middle and third row, your small plates interfere with the dinner plates. (The tines for the dinner plates are slanted in the opposite direction from the small plates)Also all the tines have the wrong slant for North American plates. If you try to add a pot, the tines are too close together for it to fit properly. (There is a feature where you can fold down the plate tines to fit the pots but then there is no place for plates.) The upper rack guide roller retainers protrude and cut your hands if you are not careful. If we could afford to toss this dishwasher out, we would have done so on day two! We like it even less after two years.

My dishwasher, another model Samsung (they all seem to have similar issues)
My dishwasher, another model Samsung (they all seem to have similar issues), worked great first 6-8 months. Then would shut off and need to be restarted every few loads. Then every load, eventually several times for each load. Dishes were not clean, but covered in tiny particles of crud. Started to smell, with black gunk around front seals. Had to remove spray arms and filter to clean them out which appeared to resolve the multiple starts issue, but even after cleaning the seals, not the dirty wet dog smell. Began pre-washing everything before loading, to the point that a dishwasher was somewhat redundant. Dishes came out dirtier than they went in, requiring rewashing. Handle grips on front of racks began degrading and uprights on racks started breaking off. Within three months the multiple starts per load started again, and quickly reached the point of not running at all. Dismantled again, also cleaning out float on side of machine under metal panel. Took off handle grips which were leaving a sticky residue on anything (including hands) that touched them. Crud stuck under there too. Job took over an hour. A repairman may have done it faster, but the only $ I will resentfully sink into this clunker now is the dump fee.Its not yet two years old, does not clean dishes, is falling apart, and smells disgusting. It needs about an hours work outside the cabinet every few months to clean out minor amounts of well rotted compost that it is incapable of disgorging on its own. And it still smells like a dirty wet dog. I think these machines might be a health hazard in addition to being utterly useless. Will never buy a Samsung appliance again. They should stick to phones.

Our Samsung FE-R300SX is 3 years old and we heard a loud pop and saw flames and smoke shooting out the back of the range. The circuit board caught fire. Samsung will not cover any of the expenses. Thankfully we saw it right away and our kitchen did not catch fire. This range should be recalled for safety. My husband and I were headed out the door when we heard the loud pop and saw the flames. We were baking Tater Tots and had the oven timer on. Our son was in his room playing video games and was going to turn off the oven when the timer went off. Our kitchen would have been on fire before he would have noticed a problem. We paid almost $700 for this range on sale and it is only 3 years old. We are very unhappy customers and will never buy anything Samsung again. They didnt even call me back about the problem. They sent an email to say they were sorry it caught fire, but they set me up for an out of warranty repair that I will have to pay for. I called them back and was told that I had no recourse and they would not cover the repair. Even thought there is a 5-year parts warranty, it does not cover the circuit board which caught fire.

This appliance (Over the Range 2.1 Cu.Ft. Microwave Oven) was bought in April, 2016 for $500.00. In April, 2018 the vent began turning itself when no one was using the oven & ion. August 13th a fire had just started while I was asleep. Luckily I woke up & was able to unplug the oven. 8/14/16 I contacted Samsung. I was hung up on or suddenly disconnected a few times but was finally given a repair ticket. A repair shop called on 8/16 and told my husband that he had to take the microwave off its mount by 8/20 because they were coming. Although Samsung was paying them they could only come at one particular time on 8/20 and would not reschedule. Also they refused to come unless the microwave was unmounted. Two people have to unmount the microwave so we had to arrange help or that was it! I called Samsung right afterward and they said the ticket was canceled. From then on we got the runaround and the gist of it was that wed have to pay $200.00 or the cost of a repair, not having any idea whether or not it could be repaired.

PLEASE READ. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator model number RF197ACRS in December 2012. It took not much more than a year and a half before I started having issues with leaking and frost build up as described by many other Samsung Refrigerator owners. Samsung support is a joke - belligerent agent who refuse to identify themselves with a company ID#. Refuse you to speak with management or any other company officials. These issues we are having are not typical repairs. They are design flaws and Samsung should take responsibility for them.I have a refrigerator. I paid nearly 2000 dollars for and a year and a half later is virtually useless to me unless I spend countless dollars keeping it running. There are no Lemon Laws in Canada to protect consumers for faulty appliances. If there is a class action against Samsung please inform me. If there is not and you are willing to start one I will start one. Guidelines prevent me from posting email or phone. Please find me.

My Samsung refrigerator is 5 years old and it is already ready to be thrown into trash. About 16 months after we bought it the ice maker stopped working. We went around that by turning off the ice maker completely and turning the entire refrigerator off for two weeks until it melted. After that we never used the ice maker. It just turned 5 years and of course warranty expired. Just one month after the warranty expired the fridge part stopped working. Called Samsung - they sent a technician who said it is the compressor and due to the special gas in it we cannot fix it. It simply cannot be fixed due to that special gas since no one is licensed/certified to handle that gas.

Do you think if this happened to the GM at Samsung they would have treated it as routine maintenance? It is now 2 hours after Samsung was supposed to be here and no word yet. Our Samsung Refrigerator was purchased from Lowes and was highly recommended by Lowes and another appliance center in the area. Our refrigerator has broken down 3 times in 4 years which is a horrible record. I have a cheap Kirkland 2nd refrigerator that I have had for almost 20 years and never had broken down one time. Expensive is not always better! Samsung sent us a repair company which then goes out of business and will not recommend and now gives us a 2nd repair company. That repair company tech only knew how to take out screws of a cover and had to be on phone being stepped through how to do diagnostics on refrigerator, only to tell me a 2nd time that power circuit board needs replaced and will be another week. The circuit board is obviously is defective and not covered under 5-year warranty by Samsung. I will not buy anymore Samsung products. A few years ago, my highly touted Samsung Flat Screen TV had defective parts and fortunately Costco stood behind the product. No more Samsung TVs either!

We have model RF4287HWP/XAA. The touch panel constantly becomes inactive. Its been replaced several times. The ice maker has broken (twice). And now its constantly leaking water. We bought the Asurion protection plan but they cant come out until next week. So every few hours were replacing towels around the fridge to soak up the water. Its ruined a rug. And Home Depot, who sold us the protection plan, isnt able to help. We USED to have a shut off valve for the water going into the ice maker. But during the last repair it seems it was removed. So we pay thousands for an appliance, buy the protection plan, and then have to put up with it constantly breaking and poor customer service. Really? We bought a Samsung Appliance package in September 2014. I have not been happy with any of the appliances. You must wash the dishes before loading them into the dishwasher, or the food will still be on them after a heavy load cycle. I do love that dishwasher is super quiet, which is the reason I was attracted to it. My Range makes a rattle noise when the fan kicks on, and I do not believe it cooks as well as my previous unit. My microwave sensors are WAY off, and we have tried to fix, but again, either the popcorn burns or pops 3 kernels. It too rattles. These are all issues I can deal with.My biggest issue is the refrigerator. We are currently on our FOURTH unit. The first unit would only cool to 42 degrees. The second unit wouldnt even power up when they brought it out. The third unit the doors would not close completely even though they worked and tried to adjust. Installers said the brackets were not aligned correctly. So, I finally after months of hassle get a new one. Whew... Or so I thought. I have had 5 service appointments to fix the same issues on this unit and am still having issues. When I contacted Samsung today, I was told they were sorry, but it was out of warranty. Even though the issues are documented. We escalated and were told they would do us a one time favor to have another technician come out. Im not sure why. It is clearly a design flaw. My ice is slush, I always get about a 1/8 cup of water first before hitting the ice button due to the melted ice. The ice drips to the bottom of the panel and then freezes like a rock jamming the ice maker. I am told that it is due to putting groceries in my refrigerator (someone PLEASE tell me this is NOT the answer I got!) What are you supposed to do with a refrigerator if you cannot put groceries in it!?I was also told that the low ice production was not due to melting (mind you I have puddles of water) but due to overuse. We have 2 adults and 2 kids and use a very minimal amount of ice. If it cannot keep up with our demands, it should not even be an option! I use the power freeze and power cool button when we stock the fridge to keep it from warming down too much, as the last technician recommended, but this isnt the answer either. Id love to have my $3K+ back and go back to my ugly, but extremely useful old appliances! The pages of reviews tell me this is a lemon, but Samsung refuses to do anything about it!

Purchased washer (Model dw80f600uts) as part of a new kitchen package in May of 2014. From the beginning the unit never cleaned the dishes well, always left food particles caked on to the dishes. After a few weeks it also started to smell. About 2 months after installation started to have problems with soap not dissolving. After a lengthy complaint to Leons I was able to get a technician. He put in a new soap dispenser and advised me to run the hot water before running the dishwasher. This seemed to help, but the dishwasher still did a poor job cleaning.Fast forward 7 months and now the unit stops mid-cycle and fails to finish (apparently the water temperature might be too hot now, ironic!). I have called Samsung and begun the process of getting a technician to come to my house to fix it. Of course, this will only prolong the inevitable; this is a terrible dishwasher and I will have to replace it once the warranty is up in May 2015, since there is no way I am putting any more money into this machine. I would put Samsungs customer service in the same category as their dishwasher. Im pretty sure their main goal is to delay you long enough until the warranty has expired. Their solutions to problems are also a treat. Originally I was told to check the water pressure of my house, and if necessary, have it adjusted so that the dishwasher would run better. Not really sure how one goes about checking water pressure, much less adjusting it.

We bought a Samsung Dishwasher at the Sears store in Plymouth, Wisconsin. It only worked for about three months. At first, very well. But after that, it would start and then shut off after about five minutes not washing the dishes at all. We would start it over and over and the same thing would happen, it would make noise as if it was starting the wash cycle, then shut off and the alert would have switched on its own to delicate, which we did not set it to. The soap was always untouched, the dishes never cleaned. We called Sears and they said our computer panel was not operating properly. We had them replace it. The dishwasher worked for maybe a month and has now stopped working again, even after a new computer panel was installed. This is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. I was going to buy a Bosch (which we have had at two other homes and felt it was an outstanding product), but was talked into this crummy one by the saleswoman who assured me it was even better than Bosch. Yeah, right. What a joke. It is pure garbage. I feel absolutely ripped off of 700+ dollars and a lot of aggravation with two lengthy service calls and hours and hours on the phone. I want my money back but feel I have zero recourse. I am so mad we threw good money after a very, very bad product. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG DISHWASHER. EVER.

I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased my Samsung DMT 400 that the appliance company told me was state of the art. I too have suffered the smell, the failure to drain, and the 50-50 chance that the soap would not dispense. I guess I just tolerated it until the lights started blinking. The company tells me based on the sequence of lights that I have a Low Level Water Error. Of course because the machine is more than a year old, the repair is on me. Even though they can diagnose the problem over the phone, no authorized Samsung repair shop will even give me a rough estimate as to the cost of repair, the cost for a different brand of machine new is about $400...the cost of the service call is $99. Sounds like a no brainer, but I guess this little repair will cost me a couple of hundred dollars and likely the dishes will still stink. No more Samsung appliances ever, its clearly not their core competency.

Bought a side by side refrigerator RS25J500DSR 17 days ago. After waiting the 24 hours for the ice to make, it was evident that there was a problem. The refrigerator only serves two people and one of them is gone most of the day. Its bin has only gotten filled more than a quarter of the way one time when we were out of town for 4 days. We only fill our glasses 1/4 way with ice in an effort not to be without ice entirely. Reported problem to Samsung and a tech called back. Had me to do the tests described in the video then he told me the ice maker was working fine and he was closing my file but would call me the next day to see if resetting it had helped. The next day, no call. Refrigerator was not bothered for 4 hrs. and the bin had approximately 30 pieces of ice. So the next day called Samsung again. Was again told they would send out a repairman. Today, was called by Tech. He stated that he was trained by the engineer and the ice maker in this refrigerator only makes 6 pieces of ice every 90 minutes - 2 hours. A total of 70 pieces of ice in a 24 hr. period. It is not designed to provide very much ice. I cant imagine that anyone would buy a refrigerator and not rely on it for daily ice. He also stated that the bin is not suppose to fill up more than 1/4 way full. Again they have refused to send anyone out because they know their ice maker is practically worthless. I wish I had seen these complaints before I bought it. I did look at the rating for this product and since it had a high rating I thought I would be pleased. However, this is the worst purchase I have made in 60 years. I dont ever plan to buy anything that is Samsung again.

Moved in a new house around 2012, fridge model is RS263TDRS - its a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator that at the time cost at least $2500 cad if bought brand new. Anyways, at the 2-year mark, the fridge started making loud noises and water and ice is building up on the bottom drawer on the fridge side and water would fall out almost everyday, which damaged my hardwood floor. I did some research online and realized it is probably caused my ice build up inside the fridge, and I opened the back part of the fridge and its all frozen inside. Spend hours defrosting the ice with a hair dryer and out everything back in. Everything worked for about a week and water is falling out again. Suddenly the freezer just wont cool and now Im stuck with a barely working fridge.

My Samsung refrigerator had the same icemaker issues the first year & then the refrigerator would only cool to 54 degrees right at the end of year 1. I called an approved service technician who got on the phone with Samsung after examining the unit. It was determined that the refrigerator could not be repaired & would have to be replaced. Apparently Samsung used butane as an alternative to freon in my unit & it is not being successful. Okay -- that was 6 weeks ago! I have been through many phone calls, submitted the required paperwork, & no one has cared that I have not had a fridge for 6 wks! I have been unable to get help from the store where I bought the fridge either. Samsung is mailed me a reimbursement check for the cost of the fridge, minus delivery & tax. I had to throw away $300 worth of food.So because of Samsungs defective refrigerator, I have had to pay for 3 service visits, $300 worth of lost food, & will have to pay tax & delivery fees plus more for a newer model of refrigerator. SERIOUSLY?! Its not my fault & it has cost me about $1,000.00! By the time I get the reimbursement check & buy a new fridge, I will have gone 8 weeks without a fridge! Im a single mom & currently unemployed, so this is especially painful right now. Unfortunately, I also have a Samsung TV, washer & dryer, all of which I have enjoyed, but now sure hope I dont have a problem with! I have NEVER had a company treat me so poorly.

I purchased a Stainless Steel counter depth French door refrigerator w/ drawer freezer at a premium price through Lowes. Within 7 months, the ice maker stopped working and a noise like a motor straining to work started. That issue was taken care of with a service call. Then it happened again. This time, I called Samsung and the girl I spoke to wanted me to remove the ice maker unit. The owners manual said not to do that so I had another service call. This time, a new ice maker was ordered and installed. Immediately after this call, a single click could be heard maybe once an hour. Then a noise like a compressor turning on started and lasts from 5 to 12 seconds sometimes 4 or more times a day.Now the noise like a motor straining is starting again. The ice maker stopped working, and now the ice maker started working again. This refrigerator makes more noise than my dishwasher! So, I am going to have to call for service again. Three service calls in just over 2 years is ridiculous!! I had my last refrigerator - basic with no ice maker - for over 20 years and no problems like this!!!

This is a Japanese product that is beautiful in looks and style. However, if you need any service, the vendors are few and far between. If a handle loses a screw, they will tell you the whole door needs to be replaced which will cost hundreds of dollars. When you call the Samsung customer service, they will refer the same Japanese repair company and promise to call you back with another repair company (which they never do) when you tell them that company is an unethical company. Also the ice maker freezes up & stops working a lot.

We purchased our Samsung gas oven/range in 2015 and after 3 years the digital display stopped working, so we replaced it for about $100. 6 months later it stopped working again, we replaced it again. Now 3 months after replacing it, it has stopped working again. So instead of spending $200-$300 a year replacing digital motherboards we have decided to get rid of it. Samsung offered to come out and look at it, but they want $185 just for the visit and diagnosis of the oven before any parts.

Purchased these 4 items rfg297hdrs refrigerator, smh21175 microwave combo, ne595riabsr oven, dw80f600uts dishwasher. Purchased in December 2013. 2 repairs under warranty on dishwasher and still does not work good. Over the oven microwave is in the garbage after burning bacon which burned out the panel. Paid a repair service for call and was quoted 480.00 for repair. 30 days after 1-year warranty. Oven element went out after 20 months and was told by Samsung it was covered. They sent a repair guy out and the part was not on warranty. I paid the service call and called to order the element and was told if the bottom did not work in my dual oven then it was the controller panel. I have been so disappointed in Samsung appliances. I would not recommend them and will let others know about the cheap quality and Samsungs bad customer service.

Our new apartment has a half-wall between the kitchen and living room. We wanted a quiet dishwasher. The salesperson at Best Buy said the Samsung was the quietest on the market, so we bought one. It stunk when we opened it, but thought that it simply had to be used and the stink would disappear. Boy were we wrong. It is now 8 months later, after trying different detergents such as Finish gel and tablets (which we have had good success with in our old dishwasher), vinegar, etc. and the rotten fish stink is still just as strong as day 1. I dont know if the dishwasher is quiet because of built-in soundproofing or just that we cant get close enough to it due to stink to hear it. NOT happy.

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and stove 3 years ago. After a couple of months the Motherboard on my Microwave went, fortunately it was under warranty. Starting from within a few weeks I had problems with my refrigerator and had it repaired under the one year warranty. I had purchased a 5 year warranty and every year I have had the same problem, fan icing up, leaking and fridge not cooling. It is total crap! The warranty company wont provide a new fridge because it is repairable. Now my dishwasher is not working, the sensor for the level is broken and it is not working. I would NEVER buy another Samsung Appliance ever! The worst appliances I have ever bought.

DW80H9930US - My Samsung dishwasher was installed on October 25, 2014. The first call for repair was made on December 5th for a persistent water leak from the bottom of the door. The repair was made on Dec. 26th in which the venting system in the door was replaced. The next repair call was made on Dec. 31st for the same water leaking problem. The repair was made on Jan. 9, 2015 in which the venting system gasket was reseated. The next repair call was made Jan. 10th for the same water leaking issue from the bottom of the door. On Jan. 16th, the service man placed an order for a door latch replacement. On February 6th, the door latch mechanism was replaced. Water leaking and the door popping open without error codes mid-cycle continued. The most recent repair took place on March 14th, where the repairman replaced the whole door. No more water leaking has been noticed, however, one month after this repair, the door continues to pop open mid-cycle without any error codes. The time remaining does appear and flashes. I close the door, and it starts up again and with fingers crossed it finishes, but not without multiple door popping open episodes. Ive checked the strainer in the base and its not clogged with food particles. The top rack does roll forward, and Ive seen another posting about it becoming disconnected from the sprayer mounting at the back of the dishwasher wall. Perhaps this is the reason the dishwasher continues to stop mid-cycle without displaying error codes. My anger is with Samsung, not with P.C. Richard & Sons performance. I dont know, but one thing is for sure, when my 5 year warranty has expired (thank God, I had the smarts to purchase one), this dishwasher is going to the curb and I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance, nor will I recommend their products to anyone!Updated on 09/25/2015: the dishwasher seemed fixed after the whole door replacement back in March 2015, however, it has begun leaking again (mid-August 2015) from the lower left area at the bottom of the door (the same area where it leaked from the start).

4 door Samsung Refrigerator Samsung RF23J9011 - Bought this fridge in July 2016 brand new from HH Gregg. A year and half later (Dec. 2017) the refrigerator portion of the fridge stopped working. It was 2 weeks before someone could come look at it. Samsung used a company called MetroTech. I had to pay 90.00 for an assessment and wait another 2 weeks for a part. The problem was with the seal which was covered under warranty as a defect. 2 weeks turned into 3 and the part was installed but it did not fix the problem. So Metrotech advised Samsung to replace the unit which they refused until Metrotech put in another part. Another 2 weeks of waiting and Metrotech put in the part. Upon doing so the inside panel of the fridge was damaged. Plus this did not fix the problem. The 4th time Samsung sent Metrotech out, Metrotech advised Samsung to replace the unit. A unit Exchange process was put in. When I called Samsung they told me they needed a certificate of ownership. I do not have this as it was still being paid for however, the account was in my deceased spouses name financed through Synchrony bank. HH Greg went out of business. Synchrony bank will not let me pay for the fridge because they filed a claim against the remaining balance in probate - even though I tried to pay for it. Probate will not end until sometime in May. Samsung will not replace the defective fridge without it showing the fridge is paid for. I do not know what to do? I think this is horrible and will never buy another Samsung product. EVER.

We bought our 1st Samsung side-by-side fridge in late-2006. Just after the 1-yr warranty expired, the twin cooling system froze in the refrigerator side. Recommended appliance repairman literally took a knife to chip ice off of the equipment. Had to call a 2nd repairman who completed it but discovered the touch screen didnt work properly (again not covered by warranty). In 2014, bought a 2nd Samsung (4-door model). Had problem with touch screen but when repairman came, couldnt duplicate problem. Of course, after warranty expired, housing for water filter started leaving debris (white substance) in the filter & ice & water stopped. Repairman said housing was a faulty design & Samsung was working to correct the design. Then he said the touch screen wasnt working either. After repeated calls to Samsung by me, the repairman & even my husband, the final conclusion from the manager was that they didnt have a record of the touch screen malfunctioning prior to warranty ending! So, like our 1st fridge (which we moved downstairs), we opted not to repair the touchscreen but did pay to replace the housing. This week I had repairman out for both fridges with identical problems as before. When filter housing was changed out in Sept-2015, it had not been redesigned. So... now $325 cost to repair housing & at least have confirmation it will be with redesigned part. Still leaving compromised touchscreen untouched. Cost to replace damaged parts on downstairs fridge = $505!Now if I wasnt smart enough to learn my lesson, when our washer went out we read consumer reports that highly recommended the Samsung appliances. Purchased them, immediately had problems - fought with Samsung for weeks and finally went to Lowes to let them know that their reputation was at stake because they sell Samsung products. Lowes went above and beyond and graciously took care of my problems with my dryer. Since that time I have received a recall about the problem with the washer. Sorry for this long. Review but Ive had more experience than I would like with Samsung and I do not believe in the quality nor their integrity. My advice to you - dont buy Samsung!

I purchased this microwave (M/W) Microwave Model SMH9187ST/XAA a little over three years ago. First, after a few months of use the turntable stopped working. I could fix it myself with not much expense. Thanks to Youtube. Then after a few months the handle broke. By this time the M/W was over one year old. So, I called the customer service. Since it was already a few weeks over one year, they refused to take care of it. I then fixed it myself. The next was the Touch Panel which stopped working. I called Samsung Tech support who again refused to take care of the problem. So, I purchased the Touch Panel and fixed it again. Now the inside light stays on 24/7 and fan comes on the moment door is closed. Only way to stop it from running is unplug every time I am done using the M/W. Again, I called Samsung. As at least some of you have experienced, it takes minimum 30 minutes for someone to pick up your phone. Again, they refused to take care of the problem and said a service tech would call me to set up an appointment at my cost. Since then I called over 7 times in the past two weeks (I kept a log), nobody called back. Finally after a testy conversation, I asked them to give me their service techs number and I called them myself to set up an appointment. Now waiting for the service tech to show up and give me the dreaded figure for repair or pay the service charge. Will NEVER buy Samsung appliance again. BTW: My Stainless Steel Fridge which I bought at the same time also started giving problems after a year, no solutions from Samsung on that too.

I was looking for a specific dimension and appearance including water/ice dispenser, but flexible on price. I have a house built in the 1970s, so my kitchen layout is unusual by todays standards. I found a Samsung side-by-side that fit the size requirement and also had large freezer space and water/ice dispenser. Thinking of a Samsung fridge? Stop, turn, and run away as fast as you can. Compressor on our 6 month old unit began failing nearly two months ago. Terribly loud noises coming from compressor. Over 2 dozen calls to customer service resulted in a list of stupid hoops to jump through. Level the appliance, reset temp, buy and replace water filter... Blah, blah, blah. After 4 weeks, they finally sent technician to look at it. I was told noise was coming from inside compressor (duh) and that there was nothing he could do with it. 3 more weeks passed with no followup from Samsung. So three days ago, fridge totally shot craps. $300 worth of food ruined. Now Im pissed. So now they opened up a 4th case number, and are going to send a repair technician. Problem is, the repair company listed on service confirmation is same company that visited us first time. The same company that is not equipped to work on internal elements of the unit. Meanwhile, were living out of coolers. These people are by far THE WORST I have EVER dealt with in my life. No class, crappy products. Clueless. I no longer want it fixed. I want the piece of crap out of my house. I will never again buy any Samsung branded product. Where can I sign on to a class action suit?

I purchased this range/oven about 4 months ago. I’ve had several smooth top ranges before and I could always get marks and food off with ceramic stovetop cleaner….But not with this one! I purchased new cookware to start with a clean slate and I’m so careful with the stovetop. I’m really frustrated with trying to keep it “new” like all my previous ones. There are marks all over it and dull places where I cleaned with a scratch proof pad and ceramic stove top cleaner. The mirrored black shows every smear and smudge. I literally have to buff it with a clean towel every time. That being said, one reason I purchased this stove is for the low temp presets on the oven. I make bread and it’s hard to find an oven that will go below 170°. I’ve enjoyed this feature very much. The air fry feature, not so much. It has to be set above 450° to get good results and it takes way too long vs a countertop air fryer. Overall, the range/oven operates fine. I just wish the smooth top was a little better quality and more resistant to marks, residue and smears. None of my previous smooth tops had this issue.

We purchased a new Samsung Refrigerator two months ago. (French doors with two drawers) Overall, I am satisfied with the refrigerator, with the exception of nothing really fits inside the left side door shelves. The issue I am having was with the customer support area. We spilled ice tea in the refrigerator and it has seeped under the glass on the bottom shift. I contacted the 1 800 726 7864 phone number and was told it would be over a 30 minute hold time and I could leave a number for a return call from a technician and I did. The call back was from an individual with not a technician with experience. She more interested in collecting purchasing data than support and I final explained all I wanted was help in how to remove the shelf so I could clean it. There was a long hold and she was looking up answers from a prompter and taking more time to key the conversation than help. Since I was having issues understanding the person and we were wasting our time I asked to be transferred to someone else. I was told they could not do that because the call came to her area basically. Totally disappointed in there customer support for such easy question. If you purchase from Samsung you will get little support from customer services.

I purchased 4 Samsung appliances for my kitchen and had to repair 3 out of the 4. But by far, the stove has been the worst. Since the beginning, the stove would not keep the set temperature. I would preheat it, it would hit the set temperature and then begin declining after about 5 minutes. Significantly declining- continuously dropping. I had to have a repair person out 3 times to fix it- which meant I had to wait at home 4 hours each time. I was promised a refund 3 different times when they deemed it irreparable. I would be waiting for my refund so I could purchase a different (not Samsung) oven and would call them back only to be told that my refund had been denied (even after receiving refund acceptance texts) for various reasons. They never contacted me to tell me that it had been denied- just left me waiting. Each time, I was asked to resend a different document (receipt, picture of serial number, etc) that I had already sent them previously. Each time I called (a total of 6 times), I had to wait on hold for at least an hour. I would be promised, promised, promised that they would take care of me and then nothing. The last customer service representative I had even refused to read documentation of my experience to explain my frustration. So...the product is faulty and customer service is lacking. Refrigerator, RF266AB, new on 7/7/09... January 13, 2014, home in evening with $166.00 of groceries; felt thawing freezer unit foods. Had to load perishable purchases. Checked temps. Fridge 54 degrees, freezer 38 degrees. Referred to manual and reset according to instruction. 6:30 next morning, far worse. Unplugged unit and re-tried temp settings. Removed ALL foods and dispersed to all friends and family. Called customer service (HA!) 1/14 a.m, could possibly come out on 1/17. Cust. rep. called and said no service till Tues., 1/21//14! ONE WEEK NOW WITHOUT MAJOR APPLIANCE! Lost most of our foods. EXPENSIVE! Very nice service rep. called and came Mon. eve. 1/20. Very knowledgeable and professional. Did testing. Probably compressor. Ordered immediately. Maybe due Fri., 1/24. TEN days now w/o fridge! I called Samsung. Laticia referred me to problem solving cust. resource. I FINALLY got to Deidre in ECR on 1/22. They were very reluctant to transfer me there. No expediting part delivery. Fri. eve 1/24 Tony spent four hrs.replacing compressor! (from 6p-10p)!! He advised us to call in a.m. on Saturday if any problem. Extremely proficient young man, overworked and tired.TEN days without a fridge is obscene in the 21st century!! Samsung should be ashamed of their ethics and standards. IF I had an infant requiring formula OR a necessary, perishable medication, I was told action might be sooner.... REALLY!? Somehow Im disillusioned with that thought! Maybe they would have sent a styrofoam cooler! Samsung NEEDS better customer response, action, & customer satisfaction. How about more technicians to serve the needs of their presumed good reputation? Deplorable is the best word I can use for their lack of compassion and delays. Oh, and how we imposed on our friends and neighbors! I sent flowers to thank them! This was a MAJOR disruption for ALL... except most of the Samsung staff who probably had cold refrigerators the whole while! For five years I loved and praised this appliance. Yes, verbally. Not so sure now. We own two Samsung TVs. I pray we never have to require service. OH, and by the way... IF we had another service person from anywhere come to our rescue... we would have voided our five year warranty on major parts. Makes one wonder if that was why we had to work so hard and long for the result. Two weeks now with cold circulating air. Pray for us that it lasts, and pray it doesnt happen to YOU!!

I purchased Samsung electric range (model NE59J3420SS) Jan. 26, 2016 with all kitchen appliances all Samsung. Big mistake. Should have read reviews before purchasing. The range has error message that cannot be corrected according to manual. This is second problem, first problem was 9 months after purchase. The store where I purchased range will send tech out Mon. am for $100 to come out, then $60 every 15 min. plus parts and labor. I know I will NEVER purchase another Samsung product, I have told all my family and friends, now others have told me they also have had problems with all Samsung products.

We purchased the Samsung DMT400RHB/XAA dishwasher in November 2012. The first three months went smooth but we had our first service call in February. Slow drainage. Then again in June we needed servicing again. Dishwasher fail to drain. We couldnt use the machine for over a week!!! Now the last straw. We had to call the technician out AGAIN!! For the dishwasher failure to drain and he indicated we needed a new drain pump. Had the machine less than 2 years but yet I need to buy a new drain pump at a price of $263.00. Ridiculous. Needless to say I wont be buying another Samsung household product.

We chose this particular stove because of the large cook top surface with clean edges. We have also enjoyed using the built in air fryer on numerous occasions now and LOVE it!!! We are able to cook and entire meal on it with left overs! The controls are easy to understand for the cooktop and oven. If you are in the market for a new stove, you cant go wrong with this one.... You can always donate your tiny air fryer to the Humane Society Thrift Store near you!
