I have multiple Samsung products and thought I could trust them. I purchased a French Door bottom freezer about 3 years ago (model # RF267ACRS/XAA) from Sears and luckily bought the rather expensive Master Service Agreement with a 3-year extension (a rip-off because the 1st year is supposed to be manufacturer covered). Fridge worked fine for 2 years. Then we noticed ice freezing up on the back panel of the fridge compartment. The fan started making a loud noise, and we called Sears (who owns their A&E service dept they send out, a major conflict of interest) and the tech melted the ice and said he cleaned out a drain. Fridge seemed to work for about another 4 months, then ice was building up again on the panel that stores the twin cooling system. Another tech call takes 2 weeks to get problem resolved. A new panel is installed and tech tells us he sees this problem frequently. I also have noticed the problem posted by many people on the internet. I expect that the back panel will once again freeze up. My next step is to contact Samsung to see if they have recommendations or can replace our faulty fridge, but do not expect results as it has been 3 years since we bought the $2600 fridge. With warranties, it has cost us more than $3500. Maybe someone will start up a class action lawsuit against Samsung as this appears to be a systemic quality issue. Does anyone know if one has been started?

Electric fire with Samsung range-top microwave, model SMH1713S - Purchased
Electric fire with Samsung range-top microwave, model SMH1713S - Purchased from Lowes Cerritos Town Center, Long Beach, CA, approximate price $300+/-. Normal use for less than one year, now producing smoke indicative of an electric short/fire in the mechanism. Also, failure of the main microwave generator as evidenced by lack of heating of material placed in the oven chamber. Major fire hazard, should be the subject of a recall from Samsung, but I do not see any indication that they have taken this type of action. Do not purchase Samsung microwave ovens. They are dangerous.

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher at Lowes less than 4 months ago. Started having problems. Called my very unhelpful Samsung warranty people. All I got was the runaround. The part that holds the seal in place has come off and it leaks on the floor. They told me that they would send a repairman out and told me that I would have to pay for the service call and that the part was a cosmetic issue and that it is not covered by their so-called warranty that is not worth blowing my nose on it. If there is anyone wanting to do a class action lawsuit I am in. I will never buy a Samsung product as long as I live. Lowes Home Improvement was not any help. I will never spend any of my hard earned money at Lowes ever again.

We purchased the 2 door refrigerator with the freezer at the bottom. About a year and a half we noticed it started leaking big puddles on my wood floor. We went back where we bought it and they told us that we were out of warranty. I ask them what could be causing this problem and they said we probably did not have it level. We checked, it was. We kept going back and did not get any results so I would tell everyone dont buy the Samsung 3 door refrigerator with the freezer at the bottom. Ice keeps building up on the bottom drawer.

We had a broken refrigerator door shelf. I called Samsung and they promised to send me for free a new shelf even though it was out of warranty. Shelf never came. I called back and Samsung said order had been canceled (without telling me) because out of warranty. I said they promised to send me shelf. After several more phone calls and escalations, Samsung said they would not abide by their promise and said I would have to pay for shelf. Also, the ice maker went out shortly after the warranty expired and that costs $500 to fix. Suffice to say, I would not recommend buying a Samsung refrigerator and Samsungs customer service is awful.

At first the ice maker was the only problem. That happen about 6 months after we bought it. And the noise of the ice dropping (when it did finally drop, most of the time it was just stuck and tapping loudly) it sounded like a crash in the house. Next the repairman ordered a part that would fix it. It did not. When we called him back he said Samsung does not provide a repair manual and not many people have luck getting the ice maker to function properly. Then the whole control panel went out. I can not find a repair man to even come out to work on it. The food in the refrig. is freezing and the food in the freezer has so much frost on the food we can not eat it. I have read many complaints of the same issues. IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN STARTING A CLASS ACTION SUIT? I believe we have lots of people with these issues and the only solution is to replace the refrigerator. I CANT AFFORD TO WASTE THAT MUCH MONEY. HOW ABOUT YOU?

I have a 4 year old top of the line Samsung electric cooktop/oven that has always worked great, up until several months ago when it almost blew up. Many others have reported having the main computer board fail/catch fire. Mine was the 2 main oven heating, element wires at the solder connection app heating up, sagging and touched back metal panel. Wires shorted, blowing them off the oven. Luckily breaker tripped, shutting off power to oven, one wire did catch fire briefly. Dont remember what the warranty did cost but the 5 year one is prob worth it on the expensive ones. I looked at the back with the panel off and a thousand dollar unit has the same build quality as the 200 dollar one. **.

We bought a higher end Samsung dishwasher at Best Buy on Black Friday, 2013
We bought a higher end Samsung dishwasher at Best Buy on Black Friday, 2013. It was delivered 12/9/2013. It ran once through all cycles and dishes were dirty. Ran it again and it stopped and started blinking (many complaints say the same). So, we called Best Buy right after the new year to ask for help. Their one month warranty was up and further repairs were to be covered under Samsungs warranty. Well, two service calls later, they have to order a whole new computer panel. This is insane that an out-of-the-box dishwasher is defective. Called Samsung to ask for a replacement, and they denied it and said they will wait and see what the next replacement part does and if the issue is resolved. I will NEVER buy any Samsung product again and will hire an attorney to get my $700 back. This is outrageous that I have had to miss work 2 days already and now a third time? I would avoid Samsung products at all costs. AND, local repair parts retailers do not stock Samsung parts--they have to be special ordered.

I bought a Samsung French door fridge and it is the worst ever. The fridge warms up and is full of ice. We clean the ice and it happened again. Now it makes a loud noise and when we open the doors the noise stops. The freezer becomes full of ice and stops to work as well. I have been dealing with Samsung and the technicians. It is the worst experience ever. It has been over 2 months that I am without a fridge and they are delaying and not replacing my fridge. The technician came a few times and the fridge is still not fixed. I am very tired of dealing with Samsung company. The product is rubbish and the service is not there. I wish I never bought the Samsung fridge.

RF 268 Series Model RF268ABBP - We bought this refrigerator three years ago and now it is going to cost me a minimum of $400 to get repaired. I came home to a flood in the kitchen because the cheap plastic piece going into the water filter cracked. Next the temperature and water control panel goes out and the freezer is freezing up. It sounds like there should be a Class Action Lawsuit against Samsung regarding these refrigerators. Also, I called Samsung and they were going to have a local repair company call but they never did. I finally went to Lowes and got someone to come out. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG!!

Fridge purchased less than 2 years ago is not cooling. We have the problem
Fridge purchased less than 2 years ago is not cooling. We have the problem for two weeks already. The food gets bad. The upper part of the fridge does not cool. We call Samsung several times. First, a representative was trying to repair it while on the phone. One of those, Mr. **, with very bad attitude. So, we turn off the circuit breaker for 30 seconds, then again for a minute but nothing. After another call, Samsung gave me a repair case number and said someone will call me. Waiting a few days, no one called but Cristina ** sent an email 3 days later to tell me I have to call to schedule the repair. Her office was closed at the time I read it, so I called the next day and left 4 messages. It seems she called in the afternoon and talked to my son who has a disability. My son didnt know much about what was going on, so Cristina decided to cancelled the ticket. I called her the next day to ask her why it was cancelled after I left so many messages but she didnt care, and told me to call Samsung to get another repair case number. This means to wait again a few more days. Now Cristina refuses to do the repair saying that I was rude, yes I was very upset, and Samsung does not have any other company to do the repair. So, Samsung wont do anything even though this fridge is still under warranty.

The paint has been peeling off the top and now the bottom of the microwave. I called and they said they havent had that complaint. I dont believe that. That also claimed it was the way I clean it. I only use a soft sponge and mild soap! I would not recommend their appliances. I also purchased a stove but because it was the floor middle they refused to fix the feet that dont adjust at all. The refrigerator I purchased also has no place for the water to go when it soil after use in the door dispenser. I am very unhappy to say the least!

Have called several repair personnel who will not even come out to fix it - was told I would be better off to buy a new one and to make sure it was not a Samsung! Also bought a Samsung refrigerator and had trouble with the ice maker. Dont buy a Samsung!

Purchased the Samsung french door refrigerator RF263BEAEWW/AA at Home Depot
Purchased the Samsung french door refrigerator RF263BEAEWW/AA at Home Depot, I also purchased for $150 through Asurion with their extended 3 year warranty on 11/2/14. Beginning on 7/29/16 the ice maker began freezing up thus it would not make ice. I called Home Depot’s Claim number to begin the first of many claims through Asurion. They sent out Ben F. Login & Sons for the repair on 7/29/17. They replaced I think the Auger, they did not leave me any invoice. Then on 12/26/16 the ice maker stopped making ice again. On 12/28/16 A Plus Appliance was sent out and they replaced the ice maker motor and Auger. The Ice Maker stopped making ice again on 1/30/17, so MD Appliance came out on 2/2/17, to repair it by using caulking around the ice maker and proceeded to defrost the ice build-up with a blow dryer then left. Then the Ice Maker stopped making ice again on 4/1/17, so Residential Tech Services Inc. came out on 4/3/17 to verify this fact as per Asurions Lemon Law policy. Which states clearly the fact: After Three (3) service repairs have been completed on and individual product for the same breakdown or component and that product requires a fourth (4) repair for the same breakdown or component, as determined by us, we will replace it at our discretion. Residential Tech did not conduct any repair. Then I called the manager on 4/3/17 of Asurion because I read about all the complaints on these defective Samsung Refrigerators only to be told that this ice maker had to break down 4 times with the same exact problem before they would consider replacement as per their Lemon Law Policy. I argued that I have had 4 repairs done. This Manager claims that the Decembers repair had a defective part thus this repair was combined with Januarys repair not counting towards the so-called 4th time as per their Lemon Law Policy! Then I proceeded to make yet another appointment on 4/14/17, and Tekniton came out to replace the Ice Maker and Auger Motor. He found that on the back of this refrigerator was full of water and leaking inside to the bottom inside the deli drawer and icing up. I then had to schedule yet another repair which took place 4/24/17. Tekniton came out again to replace the Stelian replaced ice maker and auger motor, also repaired water leak, defrost sensor and assy cover evap-ref; Aw1-12 angle-shelf. This tech. found the ice maker was starting to freeze up again but it is still making ice.I called the Insurance company Asurion and spoke with the service manager who told me that on the 4th time, and it must be the same issue that they would send out yet another tech to verify that is indeed the same issue as before and they would consider a refund, replace etc. He lied and told me that each part is under warranty for 60-days. Meaning if this issue happens again within that 60-day time frame it doesnt count towards the 4th time. This is not stated in their policy. He claimed that the December repair had a defective part so that was not counted towards the 4th time. Im still stuck with this defective refrigerator and each tech that has come out have all said the same thing. The ice makers are a manufacturing defect and cant be repaired. This refrigerator due to its constant leaking is a potential fire hazard! If I end up having food spoilage or a fire because of this I will sue! Never Ever buy any appliance through Home Depot as they use Asurion as their extended warranty company and they are liars and horrible to deal with. Despite the fact that you should never ever buy anything Samsung Appliances as they are all nicely designed but have known defects and they continue to sell those defective appliances to the public! I have a horrible feeling that Home Depot or Asurion will make me be stuck with this crappy refrigerator after I spent $2,300 on it!

I am having the same issues that was stated by Sandy. I was and am very disappointed that I feel Samsungs marketing is not telling the truth about this stove. The tech came out today and told me that even though my stove says 350 degrees, it is not because Samsung wanted the energy star rating and that the stove is actually 265 and needs another 15 minutes to be at temperature, even though the stove says 350. He said a lot of companies are doing that now so they can get the rating. The other thing that I am not happy is that the top part of the oven, that says you can bake, you really cannot. It is more of just a broiler. So all my stuff burns, but does not cook in the middle. This is not what I thought I was purchasing.

Im now just starting to deal with Samsung and what a disappointment. My icemaker is not making ice very fast and never has filled the container. I get about a half sandwich Ziploc bag full after 3 days. The fridge is only 4 months old and I have spent almost a month of that running test that they are having me do to try to fix it. Now it looks like they want me to send a part from my freezer to them to look at on my dime. That isnt going to happen. As far as Im concerned they can come and fix it. I dont have the means or even know if Im sending the proper part to them to fix, Not to mention, Im not going to take a chance on breaking something taking it apart.I purchased this from Home Depot and shame on them. They should be held somewhat responsible as they sell this product to their customers and have been for years and Im sure knowing full well the problems Samsung has with their fridges. I asked before I purchased it if there were any problems with this brand, and the answer I got was not a one, it is one of the best fridges they sell. I would not recommend buying a Samsung fridge to anyone and I would definitely be interested taking part in a class action lawsuit.

We bought a Samsung RF32FMQDBSR in April of 2014 and have had nothing but problems with the ice maker. It stops working periodically and then may restart from 1-5 days later. We have had numerous service calls, one of which including replacing the ice maker to get updated software. The software change had basically no effect on the poor operation. This is a big (32 cu ft) 4-door unit that was very expensive. The ice maker design is very poor. The cooling and defrosting within the ice maker is deficient. The typical recommendation from service technicians is to turn the whole refrigerator off for 24+ hours and let it warm up and melt out completely. The ice drawer is very difficult to remove and sometimes cannot be put back in when it is frozen up. THIS IS A BAD DESIGN, and is not going to work correctly no matter how often it is serviced. Even when it is working, water drips from the ice spout and on the inside of the unit. You will rue the day you purchased a Samsung if you get one of these.

I have a french door refrigerator, model RF197ACWP, that was purchased 6 years ago. In the past 2 years we have had it worked on for collecting water in the crisper drawers and water and ice on the bottom shelf. We have spent over $600 on repairs and the problem continues. I have read many reviews now with the same issue. Over the past 2 months, through numerous phone calls, I have spent around 4 hours on the phone with Samsung, trying to get some compensation. I have been giving inaccurate information, transferred to the wrong department, hung up on, put on hold and never returned to, been spoken to in a rude way and many other discouraging encounters. It felt as though they were purposefully trying to shake me from pursuing this issue! I have never felt so disrespected by a company. The last thing they told me is that I will be reimbursed part of the cost of the refrigerator, but they have not followed through on any of the steps yet, which they told me would be weeks ago! I am so discouraged by the product and customer service. I guess I will now be looking into signing up for a class action suit or whatever else can be done.

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher DW7933LRABB and have nothing but horrible experiences with its poor cleaning results. I have had no less than 8 service calls for this machine. Each time a service repair agent replaced a part or parts saying it will resolve the poor results. It is nothing but a piece of junk, and I am being nice as this review would be flagged. I might as well eat off the dirty dishes as they are cleaner than after running them through this dishwasher. Samsung has done nothing for me as they say it is a extended service contract issue, not theirs. The issue is they make horrible products. I purchased a Samsung gas stove in September 2020. In January of 2021 my wife and I noticed that the paint and clear coat was chipping off of the stove. I called Samsung to let them know about the problem and after a week and a half of playing phone tag a representative of the company informed me that the chipping paint is NOT covered under the warranty. Now we purchased the extended warranty and still had PLENTY of warranty left but in order for Samsung to fix the paint chipping we would have to PAY for the work. My recommendation is to NOT buy anything from Samsung unless you would like to pay $1300 for a black stainless steel stove only for it to have a 1” paint chip missing after 4 months.

My Samsung refrigerator is less than two years old and the ice maker doesnt work. We have done all the recommended fixes several times. Both Best Buy and Samsung will not do anything to help. Reliable appliance repairmen wont work on Samsung appliances and say they cant even get parts. Also the interior design isnt very good. We are totally dissatisfied with Samsungs French door refrigerator (RF26VAB
We are totally dissatisfied with Samsungs French door refrigerator (RF26VABWF) and totally frustrated with dealing with their appointed service representative - Lakes Electronics. We purchased a French door refrigerator December 2008. By March 2012, the refrigerator stopped cooling. Between Lowes service company and then Samsungs factory service unit (Lakes Electronics) it took three trips and $570 dollars to get serviceable.Three years later, the refrigerator started leaking water from the unit that was replaced in 2012. We called Lakes Electronics directly for service, who responded appropriately the next day. The repair person defrosted the leaking unit, charged the standard fee, and gave us his directed contact number. Within a few days the refrigerator started leaking water again, we waited a few days in hopes that it would corrected itself and called for another service trip. On the second trip, the service rep took the unit apart, supposedly unfroze the drain line and told us that he would check with Samsung to try to diagnose the problem. He said that he should have an answer in a day and a half.Needless to say, the leak resumed within two days. The rep failed call with the status of the claim. We called him twice after a week, but he failed to answer and failed to return the call. We infer that he had no idea what was wrong. We dont know if he neglected to contact Samsung or Samsung didnt know how to fix the problem. Now we contacted Lakes again. We get the answer that they will send the same representative out and that they will charges us again. In effect, they promised fix our flat tire by filling it with air but not find the nail that causes the flat. When we question whether they guarantee that the problem is fixed, we get a run-around. When we ask to discuss the issue with supervisory staff, we are put on permanent hold.In addition to the above tale of woe, the ice maker stopped working a couple years ago. Plus the cold water runs so slowly, it is totally worthless. These problems were true with a brand new filter. The filters cost $40 every six months. With the rest of our frustrations with our purchase of the refrigerator we havent even considered bringing service in for ice and water line problems. For sure, we will never buy another Samsung appliance.

Samsung Model DW80F600UTB Dishwasher - I usually do not write comments about products but if this helps anyone who is buying a dishwasher then here goes. We bought a Samsung dishwasher to replace Bosch that quit working. We were sold on the features & the fact that our longtime salesperson friend recommended it. Really bad choice, From the beginning the dishwasher barely cleaned the dishes. The silverware never ever got completely clean. It leaves a very bad odor when the dishes are done that the old one never did. Loading this thing is a total nightmare. The top shelf is not too bad, but trying to get things in the bottom shelf is almost impossible. The front keypad to start the dishwasher has been difficult to use from the very beginning. You almost have to push with 2 hands to get the start button to engage. Now we can not go out a buy a new dishwasher so we are stuck with this thing until it totally stops working. My advice to anyone reading this because they are thinking about a Samsung dishwasher, please look at another brand. Thank You.

When you spend over $3,000.00 on a top of the line refrigerator, you have certain expectations. We bought a Samsung French Door Refrigerator about a year ago. Model RF31FMESBBSR/AA. Do not waste your money on this refrigerator. I spent two days searching and comparing. I wish I had instead spent 2 minutes on this site. Ice Master is what they call the ice maker. It is a piece of crap. Small cubes that dispense out painfully slow. After about 6 months, the ice compartment started getting cracks in it. Now, ice maker freezes and stops working about every other week. I have to melt the ice with a hair dryer to get it going again. Also - door bins started breaking after 3 months. All but one are now broken. They tried to make these pretty, instead of functional. 3 pieces - plexiglass, plastic, and a metal band that holds the plexiglass in place. Once the cheap/thin plexi cracks and breaks, the band falls off. Warranty procedure is an absolute joke. Stay away from Samsung. It looks way better than it works.

I had an appliance man out and he said he hates Samsung, for they are the lowest next to the LQs. He checked out the parts and thought it was a sensor and then found out it was the motherboard. He didnt have a motherboard, so we decided to check around for another refrigerator. Meanwhile, he suggested we turn it off and let it defrost. He suggested using a leaf blower to help it defrost all the way. Also, he said it may kick off and run fine from now on, but who knows?

The management company for my apartment purchased for me a Samsung Microwave model 18H704SFS in Sept 2015 from PC Richards. Since purchasing, it has stopped working three times and required service. The problem is with the sensors on the door which have been replaced only to fail again. My old cube microwave (thank God I saved it), which I had for over 15 years, never failed me... and I have had to bring it out of storage each time my new Samsung decided to stop functioning. Wonder of wonders, it still works perfectly unlike my nearly new Samsung.Even though I purchased a 5 yr warranty, all this costs me time in multiple appointments and return visits with parts ordered, not to mention all the phone calls. I just now turned to ConsumerAffairs to read Samsung microwave reviews, something I should have done before I bought Samsung as I see other persons with the very same complaint. I have a Samsung phone which I like. The microwave, however, seems to be a loser. Buyer beware!

Samsung refrigerator RFG297AABP - I purchased my refrigerator from Lowes in late 2008... Since new the ice maker has been more trouble. Nine, yes NINE new ice maker units since new. And now the ninth one is dead... I have spend over $1000.00 on a $3000.00 refrigerator, just have ice. To make matters worse, the front door under the ice maker has more rust, from the leaking ice maker, than a 30 year old ship rusting at sea. As a single father of four girls, money is tight and we can no longer budget a thousand plus dollars for ice! I can not recommend to anyone a Samsung product ... that continues to cost this much after purchase... and at seven years, is rusted so bad. Whatever happened to pride in the products that are produced?

Dishwasher with water wall - It started to be defective a couple of months
Dishwasher with water wall - It started to be defective a couple of months after purchase (stopped working and showed a message on the top of the door to indicated what the problem was). Got repaired. But since at first, the problem was sometimes present and sometimes it was okay, they told me it could not be repaired and I would have to pay for the visit if when he comes, he cannot see the problem. So I had to wait for it to be defective all the time for them to repair it. This happened after a month since the beginning of the problems. One year later was defective again but this time more than one problem had to be addressed. The pump had a problem. The water wall isnt moving so the dishes that are on the lower part are not washed. And the motor had to be changed (I dont know if this is the same thing as the pump). And I had to wait a whole month for the parts to be available so these problems had to wait. Then someone came and repaired, or tried to repair. The motor or pump works better, it doesnt make that weird noise anymore, but the water wall isnt repaired, the repair didnt work. So the water wall will have been defective for a month and a half if this time he is able to repair it, or longer if he is still not able to repair it.The extended warranty applies only if the same part is broken three times, not if one part is defective, then later another part is defective and so on. Also the extended warranty can apply if in the end the dishwasher will not be repaired, but how long will I have to wait for them to decide they end the trying to repair period of time? Also, this time they will probably replace the same part that had been replaced during the first year of warranty. But since it happened during the first year of warranty, it will not count for the extended warranty that started at the end of the first year. So even if the part is replaced a third time, the first time will not count. In other words, there is not much chance that my dishwasher that is always defective will be replaced. I am stuck with it. I will never buy a Samsung product again. This is a shame, it is always defective and all this time waiting for a repair wastes time of my warranty since nothing is happening. They should replace it after three problems, not three times the same part broken. And they should extend the warranty during this whole month when I am waiting for it to be repaired. It was an expensive dishwasher. What a waste of money.

Got fed up with having to take the back panel off the freezer to de-ice the fan and eventually all the coils. It got to the point where we were having to do this every couple months with a fridge that was less than 5 years old. Had issues with a TV, that ended up getting replaced by the store - NOT Samsung. Now getting an --SE-- error on the over the range microwave (manufactured Feb 2010). Unfortunately the house we bought exactly 1 year ago has all Samsung appliances that were manufactured in 2010. Of course our home warranty just expired - wondering how long before well have to replace every single appliance in the kitchen. Guessing in will likely be in the next year. Their products are cheaply made and not made to last. Silly me, thinking appliances should last more than 5 years... Will NEVER buy another Samsung! EVER!!

This refrigerator (Model RF263Teasesr) is 2 years old and nothing but problems. Water continually drips down door. Now 2 years old and the internal temperature is 55 - 60 degrees yet the control panel on the front says it is 38 degrees leading to food spoiling. Frost continually builds up in the twin cooling portion and within the icemaker. Nice looking fridge that cost $1600 and does not work. Never, never buy a Samsung fridge. Their help line is staffed by people who try to be polite but are of absolutely no help. To make matters worse, their warranty which supposedly covers defects in materials and workmanship one year and five years is irrelevant. The only way to determine on the extreme off chance something is covered is if a Samsung approved repair person services it. The closest repair person is over 120 miles away - so guess how much that repair bill will be that is not covered by Samsung. I will say it again, NEVER EVER buy these appliances. Samsung stick to a phone or tv.

After using a hairdryer and scraper every two weeks the past year and a half, I sympathize with those experiencing serious issues. What a huge disappointment with my less than 3 year old Samsung Fridge!!! And their aftercare service! As soon as I bought this refrigerator, Model # RF24FSEDBSR/AA which costed me $3,400 started having a problem within a week from the installation. Samsung sent me 2 different the 3rd party vendors to fix the problem since the 1st one couldnt. These two 3rd party vendors moved around my refrigerator in order to take a look at the back at that time. For last 5-6 months my fridge stopped cooling and it was accumulating ice in the back panel along with lots water dripping on the wall panel. Foods were easily molding and spoiled. When I called Samsung, they stated its because the refrigerator is not leveled and eventually its ruined fan functions. My refrigerator stayed exactly how the Samsung repairman left little less than 3 years ago with the wheels touch ground which was causing unleveling and eventual ruining the fridge completely. Samsung was showing no apology nor remedy whatsoever since the warranty time is over. They were asking me to talk to the vendor who left the refrigerator unleveled even though Samsung is the one who hired those vendors 3 years ago. Extremely disappointed with Samsung product and their service. Never buying Samsung products again. Definitely I will let other people to hear my voice every chance I get.

Freezer appeared to thaw and refreeze slightly since purchase, does not open adequately, and now has defrosted completely. I bought a Samsung Refrigerator Model RF217ACPN in July 2012 at Best Buy from the Boston/Fenway location (now closed). Two years into owning it the temperature went up to 70 degrees and there was water in the bottom drawers. I did some googling about it and learned that the radiator in the back over cools, then builds up with ice preventing it from cooling, then when it finally melts the water ends up in the bottom fruit and vegetable trays. After two weeks of calling them begging them to see it is a faulty and defective product they gave me a one time service for free and guaranteed it would be solved. 4 months later, same exact problem... water in the drawers and 70 degrees. After calling this time explaining it was never really fixed in the first place, Samsung gave me two options, 1) repair it using their service center (a $400-600 charge) or 2) repair it using their extended protection plan (a $388 fee with service for a year). I dont want it fixed. I want my money back or have it replaced with a fridge that works. What a terrible product... I had my previous fridge for 30 years! This one cant even make it past the three-year mark. Samsung is fraudulent and taking advantage of people. I will never buy anything from them after this experience. What a terrible company, and terrible customer service.

Thinking about buying a Samsung refrigerator think again, Question is - What is Samsung doing about the frozen drain line issue? Do you think that a customer wants a defective product? I dont want to defrost my system every so-often, plus with the Samsung name youd think they would do something. Im almost 4 hours in working basically for Samsung... BS! Contacted Samsung customer service and get what I expected, nowhere.. The customer service rep said this is a unknown issue, https://www.samsung.com/in/support/home-appliances/resolving-drainage-issues-in-samsung-refrigerators/. So, I sent that link to customer service rep... Then was told its out of warranty. Yea, I know I only have it for 1 1/2 year and have learned that I will be repeating this process about every 1-2 years. Luckily, I am a handy person and do not need a service call. If you have a Samsung refrigerator plan on a defrost cycle every couple years when water pools up under the tray thats a good sign to start eating up the food.. Then plan a weekend to shut it down.... What I learned is to stay to the basics. A simple refrigerator without all the crap, ice trays work fine, the sink for water and 2 doors. Oh and that smug free door. Yeah, wanna see a picture it aint smug free and its dame hard to clean it off too.. Venting over!

Richard repair guy & again problem was lingering around. Last week, we called Samsung & ask for final help before we get rid of the dishwasher. Again, manager does not care for it. I guess Samsung does not care for their customers. We bought brand new dishwasher from P.C. Richard & they will haul this Samsung dishwasher & install the new Whirlpool one. Now onward, we are not buying Samsung or neither our friends.

We purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator in 2013. In the summer of 2016, the fridge/freezer broke for the first time. Samsung sent out their qualified repair experts who attempted to fix the problem but in the process, caused further harm. They ended up attempting to fix the fridge 7 more times without success. They then determined that it was an entirely new issue requiring us to buy yet another part and pay for labor yet again. Contact with Samsung was unhelpful. Because we were out of the 1 year warranty time period, there was nothing they were willing to do. We were without a reliable refrigerator/freezer for more than 6 months. Many times we had to throw away all the food in the refrigerator and freezer. We interrupted our work and home-life schedule 8 times to be there for the repair service 4 hour window. We expected Samsung to recognize a faulty refrigerator and offer immediate compensation. This was a bad purchase-- we do not recommend Samsung to anyone. Their customer service is below any standard.

We purchased a set of Samsung appliances at Best Buy as part of a kitchen suite. The dishwasher that came with it (400 series) was absolute garbage. It would not clean the dishes and was displaying error codes. The dishes were more dirty coming out than going in. After a LOT of arguing, and technicians coming out, Samsung agreed to refund us for the dishwasher. We went back to Best Buy and bought the supposedly new and improved version DW80F800UWS with storm wash. It seemed better, but now a few months later were having the same issues again. Now its saying theres a 5E error which is a kinked drain hose. Checked all the hoses and nothing kinked. Technician came out and said machine is fine...then whats the error code for?? I would also be interested in a class action lawsuit as this has been well over a year of going back and forth with Samsung to get a dishwasher that actually washes dishes! Better off washing dishes by hand. Particles stuck to dishes and dirty water sitting on the top of the mugs and bowls. Technician also informed us that the garbage disposal is made of plastic and frequently breaks. My 20 year old Kenmore worked 20 times better than this technologically advanced pile of garbage. Do not buy a samsung dishwasher unless you want a headache to deal with. Their customer service is horrible, theyre rude and claim theyve never heard of any of these issues.

This dishwasher dw80j7550ug is a real work of crap. I only saw the reviews too late to see how bad it is. It doesnt clean your dishes. It stinks all the time you open it. Even empty. It doesnt dry your dishes. Samsung says open the door to air dry the dishes. I have to rinse the dishes off extra good. I paid 700 dollars for a dishwasher that I practically have to wash the dishes before I put them in it. Air dry my dishes... I might as well wash them and put them on the counter. The Samsung French doors, freezer on bottom refrigerator sometimes keeps things cold, and sometimes doesnt. The temperature read-out always, always says 37 degrees F, but thats not true. The compressor overheats causing ice build-up in the vents, causing the temperature to rise even though it still says 37 degrees! Food must be removed and the fridge thawed. This has happened multiple times over the course of three years! This is not just a one in a million lemon. This is a DEFECT that others have experienced, and Samsung is aware of it. Updated on 05/20/2019: I have already sent a note about them. They sent a technician to fix my refrigerator and he couldn’t. He said he was not trained to repair this product. This was the fourth repair person that has been here to try and fix my refrigerator. None of them could fix it. The dates were 3/2/ 18, 3/16/18, 3/30/18, & 5/18/19. This person states he wasn’t trained to do this type of repair. I was supposed to get an email stating that the events of Sat., 5/18/19 were unsuccessful. From Samsung. No email. I called them and they wanted to send yet a fifth repair person. I feel they’re trying to run the warranty out. I asked them to replace the refrigerator. I also asked is it fraud when you attempt to sell parts to a consumer that they don’t need, in the amount of $349.18. The technician I hired said “I am glad you didn’t buy those parts because you don’t need any of them.Original Review: I have had two of these refrigerators and they both broke in a short period of time. The first one stopped cooling Christmas time, about six or seven months after purchase. I bought it from hhgregg, who was absolutely unprofessional and didn’t know their product. I finally called Samsung after hhgregg gave me the runaround for two months. Samsung said they would have replaced it because the compressor, which went bad has a 10 (ten) year warranty. Hhgregg dissolves my five (5) year warranty to replace the refrigerator. Samsung sent repair people when the second one stopped cooling last Jan. 2018 - it took until March and three different repair persons, and they tried to charge me $350.00 to fix it and it was under warranty, nor did they replace the food I lost, $80.00. I just paid a repair men and found out the part they wanted me to pay for wasn’t needed and my fridge is still under warranty.Theyve finally taken responsibility to do a repair after someone not associated with them told the truth. It’s been leaking Freon for over a year and may need to be replaced but, theyre going to try and fix it. I am so sorry I ever spent $2600 for this item. They absolutely need to go back to the assembly line, and they know it. I would advise anyone who’s looking for a refrigerator to shop for a product that’s made in the U.S.A.

My Samsung 24-inch dishwasher model DMT300RFS is less than three years old.
My Samsung 24-inch dishwasher model DMT300RFS is less than three years old. We have had problems with the dishes coming out of the dishwasher with ground-up food on them since day one. Recently we have been getting an error code for clogged drain also. I pulled the dishwasher into the middle of the kitchen floor, checked all plumbing and drain hose and found them clear. I ran the machine and found it was only discharging a small amount of water during the drain cycle. I removed the filter in the tub - clear. I removed the drain pump - clear. I checked the rubber check-valve upstream of the pump and found it cocked and stuck sideways. I freed it with my finger (it is in the molded plastic comprising the bottom of the tub). I reassembled the unit and operated it and it pumped like a banshee during the drain cycle. After running the machine a couple of times it started pumping only a trickle again. The check valve had become cocked and stuck again. What is happening is the check valve sticks open and when it hits the drain cycle, the drain pump pumps dirty water back into the dishwasher and only a trickle gets pumped to the sink drain. Dirty water stays in the tub and debris gets deposited back on the dishes during the rinse cycle. Because it takes so long to drain the tub, the machine thinks the drain is plugged and shuts down with a clogged drain issue. The part with the check valve in it is very expensive and (for me) would require a service technician to replace it, adding to the cost. To me, I will be better off replacing the unit. There are review after review on the internet complaining of these same problems (dirty dishes and error codes). It is my opinion that this problem is a design error as it is not possible to provide maintenance to the check valve. It is deep in the large plastic piece comprising the bottom of the tub.I hope this post helps others understand what is wrong with their machine.

I contacted the 1 800 726 7864 phone number and was told it would be over a 30 minute hold time and I could leave a number for a return call from a technician and I did. The call back was from an individual with not a technician with experience. She more interested in collecting purchasing data than support and I final explained all I wanted was help in how to remove the shelf so I could clean it. There was a long hold and she was looking up answers from a prompter and taking more time to key the conversation than help. Since I was having issues understanding the person and we were wasting our time I asked to be transferred to someone else. I was told they could not do that because the call came to her area basically. Totally disappointed in there customer support for such easy question. We have a very bad experience with the service of Samsung Refrigerator. It took nearly a week for them to visit our place to check on the complaint made. We had to follow with the service centre every day and request for a call back from the supervisor. The reason for the delay was lockdown. We were already on phase 4 of lockdown and most of the technicians had started moving around. They checked on our refrigerator and was told the problem could be either with the compressor or the inverter board and that they have to place an order for it and it will take 3 days...They finally came after 4 days and they said both and the board had to be replaced. It worked and the technician hardly stepped out and the same problem came up. We tried contacting the technician ..who said he cant come back immediately and he came the following day and said there was a problem with the compressor again... Mind you.. it was a new compressor ...and again they have to place another order and it will take another 3 days. The problem is they will not answer your calls nor will they update you on whats happening. The call center is pathetic. I have been calling them for the last 2 days requesting that we need to speak the supervisor. They say they will arrange for a callback but no one calls. Till now I have not received any call from them. Product may be good but if the service is bad.... We will never want to recommend this brand to anyone... Very poor response and poor service. Higher authorities need to check on this and address this issue immediately especially when there is so much competition. We have been without a refrigerator in this peak summer for nearly 2 weeks now. Dont know how long more we have to wait..??

Samsung 3 door model RFG298AARS 29 cubic feet advertised capacity - Purchas
Samsung 3 door model RFG298AARS 29 cubic feet advertised capacity - Purchased Feb 2, 2010. Works fine even the ice makers one on top and one in freezer drawer. Last year after 4 years the plastic on the door shelves, track, and mounting frame for the drawers began to crack and break. So far I have replaced 2 door shelves, the flip up section of the meat drawer, the frame with the glass top for the drawers and the frame bracket due to cracking and breaking to the extent that is not functional. These replacement parts have cost almost $300 so far. The 29 cubic foot capacity is measured wall to wall and does not take into account that the shelves do not go to the walls on sides or back greatly reducing the capacity of the refrigerator. I also find it difficult to clean with all the nooks and crannies. Spills work into the frame of every drawer or shelf and cannot be cleaned because that part does not come apart. I expect a refrigerator of this caliber to last nearly a lifetime. That does not appear to be the case here.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 400 LTR from Vaishali, **. From the start, the problem was that the upper portion of the fridge is ice-deposited and the lower portion is warm and the vegetable, etc. gets spoiled. When I complained, the person guided me on phone, around six months back, and said that if I switch off the refrigerator for one night, it will be okay, and this worked. But time and again this problem arises. It is the defect of the Samsung technology and why should I suffer> When I complained, they say that the engineer will come and charge 400 Rs for visit, in my view the basic defect should be removed by Samsung free of charges, or they place my fridge with a new one . I purchased it around 20 months back.

We bought our refrigerator in March of 2011 and have had nothing but issues with it since the year warranty expired last year in 2012. I have contacted Samsung via chat, phone and email multiple times to complain and request a replacement. Each time they tell me they are escalating my request to their Executive Complaints Division. They tell me that I will hear back within 1-2 business days, and I have never heard a thing. When Ive called on numerous occasions, the person I speak with apologizes and essentially tells me that they will escalate. We had to have the fan and motherboard replaced last year in June 2012 and shortly thereafter, the ice maker stopped working. Now, the Twin Cooling system appears to be broken and there is consistently standing water below the drawers. This is unacceptable and Ive been reading about hundreds of other similar complaints via the website. Samsung just does not do anything about it. We have 3 small children and now have had mold growing in the refrigerator. We have had this now for 2 years, and I believe it is undoubtedly unacceptable to have to buy a new refrigerator already.

I purchased my microwave in 2010 Serial # J4LVMOSC00753V. After about 2 years I got the infamous 5E error. I found information on the internet as to how to repair it myself. When I opened the front of the unit to access the inside of the control panel, I found that the hot wire connector was melted. I must have been very close to a fire! I replaced the connector and dried the wires to correct the 5E error. The 5E error reappeared again after a few months. I again dried the wires. To keep the story short, the 5E error appeared more and more frequently, until finally it was happening weekly. The unit is now waiting for the junk man to collect it.

2 year old refrigerator started making noise last October. We unplugged it for a couple days and read that the fan motor freezes up. So we thawed the fridge & sound went away and temp seemed fine. Then the last couple months food began expiring before expiration dates. Milk was curdled, dog treats moldy - were the obvious signs. Reading this website I knew that it was frozen motor. So I followed you tube instructions of how to remove back panel and got my hair dryer out and melted the 3 x 4 of ice block that totally encased my fan motor, coils and wiring. My question is, how is Samsung going to remedy this from happening again? How can this be acceptable? We should all be getting free service replacement parts from Samsung! I will never buy a Samsung anything and advise everyone to do the same! !

He ordered the necessary parts, which have arrived from CA. However, the repair will not be completed for several weeks--scheduling.......

Purchased a whole house full of new Samsung top of the line appliances Dec 2017. I’ll keep this review for the refrigerator only. The Smart Hub apps do. It work half the time and you have to keep signing in to them. The ring door bell as well doesn’t work because it will log you. My main people is with the ice maker. It broke the first month and for the next 4 months after I had it either repaired or the ice maker replaced numerous times. They finally just replaced the refrigerator. The new replacement the ice maker froze up and quit working 12 months later. The ice dispenser is junk because the crushed ice is so slow and will drop large chunk a out as well. This was a major mistake to go with Samsung.

We remodeled our kitchen and purchased an electric Samsung stove with warming drawer from H.H. Gregg. This oven was $1500 and it was supposed to work as a double oven because it has a metal divider and dual controls for upper and lower ovens or you can remove the divider and use as one large oven. I was so excited to basically have 2 ovens, plus a warmer. It never baked well from the very beginning. I would preheat the oven, but it would never cook at that temperature. It was always 50-75 degrees below what it was set for. It was under warranty so I called Samsung. They wanted ME to troubleshoot and calibrate the oven, which I did following their instructions. Nothing helped. I called Samsung four times and finally got them to arrange for a licensed local tech to come fix the problem. He replaced everything he could find and it still doesnt work. The oven is awful and Samsung customer service is just as awful. They read responses from a card and do not listen to anything you are trying to tell them. I really wish I had read other reviews before I ever bought it. It is still under warranty with H.H. Gregg, so now it is their problem, and mine.

My 28 cf Samsung French door refrigerator with ice and water in the door has been acting up AGAIN. It was fine for the first year, then the bottom of the icemaker (above the ice bin) started frosting over. Luckily I had used Discover who honored their free year of extended warranty. The repairman replaced the control unit and said the problem had to do with the heater of the icemaker that heats the ice to let it release. $400 but Discover sent me a check. The problem started to reoccur several months later and now, 10 months later the icemaker is once again not dropping ice because it is blocked by frost. The ice is not as hard as it should be and I get water out of the icemaker before I get ice. The fridge is set at 35, but is 40 on a thermometer. I called the same repair place. Only a 90-day warranty on the part. They arent doing Samsung (or LG) anymore. The parts take too long to come in and they get too many callbacks. Great. It was a good repairman, now Ill be at the mercy of the schmucks that Samsung sends. There should be a class action suit. The mfg has a duty to produce a product that performs the function is it meant to do. Its call warranty of merchantability I think. Sony got sued once for larger screen TVs that failed in less than 4 years and they did an extended warranty for those sets. I think this fridge could be the same.Updated 12/08/2016: I am updating my review from 12/2/16. I googled the problem of ice buildup and refrigerator being warm. My ice was soft and I called the company that did the repair less than one year ago for frost buildup on the ice maker. They told me it is only a 90 day warranty on the parts and labor for the repair (part warrantied by Samsung for only 90 days!). They also told me they no longer service Samsung and LG.For Samsung part of the reason is that the parts take up to a month to get and also they got a lot of callbacks on the Samsung jobs. I had had trouble even finding anybody to work on it last year so I hope I can keep fixing it myself... I took the advice I found online and tried to defrost the ice maker using codes. It worked a little, but I had to resort to a hair dryer and melt the ice off the underside of the ice tray and melt the ice behind the ice maker that was apparently blocking air flow to the ice maker and also the fan that circulates the fridge air. We now hear the unit turning on like it used to and the ice is better (harder). It is pathetic that the replacement control board also failed. Neither the original nor the replacement lasted a full year, even though the repairman had told me the part he replaced had been changed by Samsung due to a problem with it. Really seems like a class action case to me since they acknowledged the defect.

I purchased a Samsung microwave SMH1611B at the Lowes in Douglasville, Georgia in Sept. 2012, paid $167 (sale) for the beautiful merchandise. I brought it home and in Oct. 2012, the microwave began to make a loud noise. As the timer decreased, the noise became louder. I contacted Lowes. They sent out service people to make the repairs, had to replace the transformer. All worked well until Dec. 2012. The microwave started doing the same thing except the noise wasnt as loud so again, I called Lowes. Appointment was set up and the repair man came again but, this time, after explaining to them that it was doing the same thing, they came without the transformer and had to reschedule and they came back on this past Monday in Jan. 2013 to replace the transformer. Today is Wednesday, January15. Now there is no noise today. Its not heating. Must I say how disappointed I am with this microwave? You have to have 3 service calls and the technicians have to tell you that the microwave is no good for them to give you another microwave. This doesnt make any sense. I should have taken the microwave back and got my money back. I will never purchase another Samsung microwave as long as I live. It is, however, still under warranty being that I just purchased it in Sept. 2012 and its now Jan. 2012.

Samsung SMH9187ST Microwave SE Error - I now have this issue and the microwave has been serviced twice before since 2010. In response to an earlier post, the board is available and can be found easily on the net. What is not available anymore is the entire assembly of the control panel, touchpad, bracket and PCB board. I will attempt to repair this myself by replacing the most likely component of the touchpad for $30.00 or less. I had the unit apart and attempted to clean the sensors. This worked for about 3 hours only to have the error recur. There are a couple of repair videos on YouTube that show you how simple the repair is for the DIYers out there... Im dissatisfied overall, but going forward Ill turn the fan on when cooking where steam rolls upward to the unit and probably use the left front burner area to reduce the hot steam from being right underneath the control panel assembly... Maybe this will reduce the frequency probability in the future.

My Samsung refrigerator is five or six years old. Since the beginning, I have had problems with it. (Water accumulated underneath the vegetable and fruit drawers.) While under warranty, the refrigerator was repaired by Samsung without a problem. When the same problem recurred, the refrigerator was out of warranty. Since it was the same problem, I sought help from Samsung. The tirade I was exposed to from the manager of the support/repair department at Samsung was shameful and insulting. He was indignant that I should ask for a repair from Samsung and scolded me like I was a 5-year old. He said that a five or six year old refrigerator was already very old and then asked how long did I expect a refrigerator to work anyhow? He went on and on until I finally said Thank you and Good bye.Today I replaced that defective part myself and found that when it was repaired the first time, a used or refurbished part had been installed. This was obvious by the amount of duct tape and silver tape (used by heating duct installers) that held the part together on the side on the back, hidden from view. I was surprised the used part lasted as long as it did. I will NEVER recommend Samsung products to anyone. I am thoroughly disappointed in the refrigerator and the so-called manager without any managerial qualifications. I prefer to remain anonymous but if Consumer Affairs needs more verification, I will be happy to supply copies of whatever I have.

Theyre pieces of junk. Im so mad, retailers should not sell Samsung refrigerators. I have a GE fridge in my garage, bought it 25 years ago, for $400.00. Still works perfect. After being hit with super storm Sandy, I bought five Samsung appliances, each one has flaws. I am so disgusted with owning these products. The quality is very poor. The stove I purchased cooks really well but it is vented from the door. Years ago, the stoves vented from the top and sometimes pan handles burned or were extremely hot. Today, they vent from the door. Now I noticed that the five knobs are all burnt. Since I own the stove for more than a year, it is not covered and they feel this is not a mechanical problem. This is not my fault. It is a defect in the product if it burns the handles. I took out a warranty from Lowes and they say it is not covered under the extended warranty. This is a problem with the way the stove vents - it should be covered under the warranty. I am very unhappy.

We purchased our Samsung RF 4287HARS in 2011 and began using it in 2012. The ice dispenser has stopped working because of a broken plastic switch inside the dispenser module. The ice maker is producing ice but it cannot be dispensed from the dispenser. Based on a little investigating we have found this is not an uncommon problem. We contacted Samsung on several occasions to correct this apparent product defect. Trying to get someone on the telephone has been challenging and extremely time consuming. At this point, we have not received a favorable response. It appears that the product (see attached picture) is defective and poorly designed but Samsung is not responding to our requests for assistance. I spent nearly $6,000 on new refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave less than one year ago and also bought the extended warranty. The first dishwasher they delivered did not work at all and they had to bring a new one. The stainless steel refrigerator was replaced twice after several service attempts to fix ice maker that makes only crushed ice. The unit still only makes crushed ice because it is a design flaw and with every glass of cubed ice you get about 30% of crushed ice. I bought the biggest and best unit on the market.. and we are very disappointed.. The wording ice and water rubbed off within the first couple months and was unreadable. Today, I had problems with the microwave. The numbers are beginning to wear off the front panel. When I called Samsung service they indicate that is a cosmetic issue and not covered by the warranty. My shock I found that the plastic grid is lined with Thermocol, obviously it cannot be cleaned properly because Thermocol is a porous material and particles got embedded in the same. My grievance is - why make a grid in the base of freezer compartment which cannot be cleaned by the user? Secondly, why use Thermocol embedded in the grid so it impossible to clean and subsequently it will develop fungus. The design is absolutely defective. In the door of the fridge, there are only two and a quarter racks, why like normal fridges 3 or 4 racks have not been provided?

We have had a Samsung refrigerator with French doors and all the bells and whistles for 4 years. During that time we have had 3 major issues, first with a lead into the bottom of the refrigerator and now the ice compartment freezes up and has to be unfrozen with a hair dryers, AND, worse, the fan motor freezes up and the refrigerator makes a horrible unbearably sound until I thaw out the ice in the back of the refrigerator again with a hair dryer. Only then does it decide whether or not the refrigerator part will keep cooling--usually it takes a few hours. We have had it with Samsung. Each time we called Samsung and it took a week for them even to call back, and then to tell us they didnt have a service person in our area. We are getting rid of this refrigerator. We had it for four years at our second home, so that we only used it 6 months each year. We did not get the extended warranty because we were warned by locals that we would have to wait weeks for service by Samsung even with a warranty. Looks like they were right. If you look online, youll see many consumers have had the same problems.

That happened often until we eventually called for a service call. We had to remove it from above stove as Samsung does not do this. Said it was a liability issue. Technician came out and attempted to fix. Did not have correct parts. Came out again and still did not have the correct parts. Waiting for 3rd appointment. Will see if this fixes problem. Major inconvenience to have to wait for service tech on 3 separate occasions. Quite unfair to consumers. I recommended they send out a new one after the 2nd visit. Would have been cheaper for Samsung. Home Depot recommended Samsung as a quality brand. I will never buy another Samsung appliance. Totally bad experience all around. Had I read the reviews before buying I would have bought another brand.

We purchased our first French door Samsung refrigerator in 2011 not only because Samsung was a household name and I figured would make appliances that would outlast their warranty period but I also purchased the Samsung because aesthetically they stood out in comparison to other brands. Well I was completely WRONG about the quality and durability of Samsung appliances. Our first refrigerator was still under warranty and had to be replaced in 2015 because they no longer made the parts needed to repair the 4 year old refrigerator. This four year old refrigerator would make a loud humming noise as a result of a faulty fan motor. We made a second poor decision to purchase another Samsung refrigerator thinking they would have improved upon the issues they had with their appliances, but again we were WRONG. The issues were worse, see list of faults below that started in 2016 one year after purchase:1. Massive water leak behind the water dispenser that requires placing a large towel to catch the water to prevent potential slips and/or falls from the water from pooling on the floor. 2. The ice maker only makes a cup full of ice per day even when pressing the Power freeze button. 3. The refrigerator intermittently makes a loud humming noise.See list of actions taken to address the issues our 1 year old refrigerator is having: 1. Defrosted the ice maker by keeping doors open and using a hair dryer in order to speed up the process. 2. Sealed the crack between housing of the ice maker and the refrigerator with waterproof silicone. 3. Purchase 2- 10 lb bags of ice from Buckeyes twice a week. 4. Keep refrigerator door open for extended periods of time in order to stop the humming noise (yes we had food in it at the time) and speed up the defrost process. Even after initiating our own interventions, we continue to have problems with our Samsung refrigerator making a loud intermittent humming noise, making ice, leaking large amounts of water behind the water dispenser. The reason Im taking the time out of my busy day to share with you these issues is because Im disappointed in this product and to prevent you from making the poor decision of purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. Its not worth the money. There is absolutely no reason why anyone should spend thousands of dollars on anything that is proven not to last over 5 years. When I was growing up, my mother kept the same refrigerator from the time I was 10 years old until I graduated college. Of course repairs were required but as stated earlier, this is my second Samsung refrigerator in the span of 4 years.Yes we have a warranty but this refrigerator began to have problems a year after purchase, my expectations of Samsung setting a higher standard when it comes to quality appliances has not been met. We have had to spend time troubleshooting issues on a refrigerator that cant go the 5 year distance and take time from work to have it repaired. BUY SMART BY NOT BUYING A SAMSUNG FRENCH DOOR STAINLESS STEEL REFRIGERATOR.

Samsung French Door refrigerator (and Samsung dishwasher) - We bought both of these appliances when we built our new house in 2011. The dishwasher lasted 18 months and the integrated pump (they use one pump for both inlet and drain) failed. Spent about $300 on the new pump that failed again after 6 months. Last month the refrigerator just quit -- no refrigeration no freezer. After waiting 4 weeks for Samsungs contract repair service (A&E) and their rescheduling we bought a new GE refrigerator. The installer said that he typically sees the Samsung refrigerator totally fail after the 6th or 7th year. Great company, huh -- planned failure to try to sell more products.

We purchased a new home in 2009 and purchased stainless steel Samsung appliances for our new kitchen. French door refrigerator; over the stove microwave and range to the tune of over $6,000. In 2010 the refrigerator was leaking water under one of the trays. It was still under warranty so they sent a repairman who attempted to fix it. Said he couldnt but he tried. Also said that these refrigerators all have this problem. It is something with the thermostat, etc. We consistently had this problem, we had to remove the draw, chip away the ice and then use a hair dryer to thaw out the back wall of the refrigerator where the water line was located IN THE REFRIGERATOR. We had repairmen (several different ones came out for about 6 more times) all to no avail. They installed new parts, etc. Great inconvenience to say the least. Samsung finally refunded the purchase price of my refrigerator. The range was no better. In 2011, after the extended warranty we purchased expired, the broiler coil burnt out (according to the repairman) and had to be replaced. I asked him if there was anything he could do because I couldnt afford another repair. He said he could solder it but it was a temporary fix. He was right. About 10 months later the stove wouldnt work. Had to have the broiler coil replaced. Range is now working.Microwave started doing strange things in early 2013. It would go on by itself and I was afraid it would cause a fire. I called and the repairman, he came out and said it was only the fan that was going while the door was closed and he couldnt fix it because he felt it was a defect in the product. He didnt want to incur a huge bill for me when he didnt know what was wrong. He contacted Samsung and they wouldnt talk to him because he wasnt on their list of repairmen. The microwave operated fine, as for cooking, etc. with the fan always on when it was opened. In 2015 the whole thing just died. No error message, nothing. It just ceased working. I will never, ever purchase anything, other than a TV, from Samsung. They should stick with what they do best, TV sets. I now have to purchase a new microwave which has to be installed because it is an above range built in. The one we purchased was a high end and cost over $600. Didnt think it would only last 6 years. I had my other microwave for over 13 years and it worked fine. Waiting for the other shoe to drop on the range.

Buyer beware of purchasing any Samsung home appliance. I purchased a complete stainless steel kitchen set, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, in July, 2017. They look beautiful, but dont work. Repairmen have been to my home eight times in 4 months. Only the microwave has been problem free. The ice maker has been replaced three times and still makes slushy ice. The dishwasher was delivered with multiple problems, which Samsung claimed were not their fault. Begging with Home Depot got me a replacement from them, not Samsung. Now the finish is coming off in black globs. The stove had an oven door that did not close properly. Multiple trips by Samsung repairman finally resulted in having to have the oven door replaced. That only occurred after long conversations with Samsung customer service, and a request for the address of their administrative office. They said they were doing it for me as a one time courtesy. Their repair service (Lake Electronics in our area) matches Samsung in their incompetence and customer disservice. Be smart and invest your hard earned money in a company whose products are worthwhile.
