I bought a 50-gal. Whirlpool electric hot water heater about 6 years ago from Lowes. About every two years, something goes bad. So far, I had to replace electronic control board that sits on top of heater twice. Then the heating element went bad. Well, this time, the electronic control board started to smoke and melt. I was home so I smelled something melting and found it. What would have happened if I was not at home? I have dogs that are like my kids; they could have been killed. Whirlpool wants to send the replacement parts knowing this part is no good. Do not buy a Whirlpool electric water heater! Now, Im scared the next time I wont be at home to find the thing smoking. I dont have money to buy a new one. How many other people have the same problem?

Aqualift technology does not work!! This is absolutely the worst product I have purchased from Whirlpool. The aqualift technology DOES not clean the oven, even if you clean the oven after EACH time you use it! I am not able to bend over and spend the afternoon in the oven. And even when I do, I cannot get this oven clean!!! Please DO NOT buy a Whirlpool stove with an aqualift technology oven cleaning process!!! You WILL be sorry!!!

I opened the door of my Whirlpool oven purchased last year and pulled out the rack to remove my food and the rack completely tilted towards me causing the food to fly out of the pan into the oven bed with juice and barbecue sauce falling between the storage bin and the floor. This could have easily poured out on me. The rack support is not strong enough to support the weight of the food pan.

My not yet 3yr old ($2100.00) Whirlpool refrigerator started having problems. I thought it was related to the ice maker. When the repairman came out, he said it had leaked the Freon, so I thought it should have been a simple fix. Boy was I wrong. It turns out it has a sealed system so no one can access this to fix it. It is now junk and I have to buy a new one. I will never purchase Whirlpool anything ever again and I will also tell anyone who will listen about my experience. My repairman said this happens all the time, and 7 or 8 yrs ago Whirlpool went from being one of the top models to being junk.

We bought a new side-by-side refrigerator (GSF26C5EXB00 26cf) with water and ice in the door. We have had to replace the built-in water filter every two months at $30+ per filter. This is unacceptable. We just want to know what to do to fix this problem. There is only one person who uses the ice maker, and no one uses the water in the door.

I have a Cabrio washing machine that is just barely two years old. I have already spent over $500 on repairs/service calls. The first repair was the drum which cost $300 + to repair. Typically, my experience with washing machines is I buy a new one after years of service simply because I want a more updated model. I just bought a different brand to replace the Cabrio as it has another broken hinge (one rusted out. How bizarre is that?) And it wont work on some of the choices for cycles. The first time I called whirlpool, they were totally unresponsive and told me there was not any problems with the machine even though the part I needed was on backorder for three weeks. I have never been so frustrated with a product I thought was a reliable brand, not!

We purchased our Whirlpool refrigerator Model # WRT138TFYW on March 2012. We first started noticing that the eggs and the milk started to get icy. We lowered the setting from the normal setting to the lower setting. This seemed to work for about 5 months then things started to get icy again and this time it started making a loud noise. Then in August, we called Whirlpool, told them what it was doing as it was still under warranty. They sent out A&E, the biggest crooks I have ever dealt with as well as rude people. The service guy said it was probably the Frost board. He ordered the part and put it in. Afterwards, we asked him why it was still making such a ruckus. He told us this was normal. Now we arent a professional and dont know about Appliances so we took the technician for his word. Then this past December, the refrigerator wasnt cooling as good. The next day we noticed that things in the freezer wasnt freezing either. We called Whirlpool, told them what was going on and that they needed to get someone to fix it. This was when we found out that the refrigerator only has a one year warranty. I got them to agree to pay for parts and labor after getting down to the fact that this problem went back to the very first time while it was still under warranty. They sent out A&E Factory Service, again the biggest crooks there is. They checked the refrigerator and told us that the compressor and evaporator was bad. They ordered the parts and that was the last we saw of them. We got Whirlpool to send someone else. Now up to this point, I have to give them credit because they have been really nice. Then when the other technician from Americus Appliance (Very good guy, would recommend to everyone) asked why both parts were ordered, we told him that the technician from A&E said it needed them. He then installed the Compressor and told us that there was nothing wrong with the Evaporator that he could tell. He then filled it with Refrigerant and the freezer was getting very cold. Then about an hour I went to check to see if the refrigerator part was getting cold and it wasnt. I checked the freezer at this time and noticed that the freezer was getting warmer. We then called the service guy and he checked the refrigerator. This was when he told us that there was a leak in the wall of the unit and it couldnt be fixed. We called Whirlpool and told them what the technician said and asked them what they were going to do. They then said they would send everything to the exchange team and go from there. Now we are waiting to see if they will replace the refrigerator. Personally after having to replace a Brand New Washer a year and 2 months after the purchase and possibly now a refrigerator that is less than 2 years old. Buyer Beware. Check out the warranty on a GE. They have a better warranty on their refrigerators than Whirlpool does.

We have had this dishwasher since 1983 and we still run it on an average of 6 days a week. Features are the fact that it has given all of our dishes, our silverware, our pots and pans sparkling clean looks for all those years. It fits nicely into the kitchen space which was designed for a dishwasher. It never needed a repair. After all those years, this machine still looks fine. After all those years I really doubt if it still has a warranty and it never needed service.

We have had the dishwasher for 4 years and about 6 months ago it started shutting off minutes after it was started. We would have to press the Cancel Button and try it again several more times prior to it finally completing the wash. After contacting our home warranty for help the tech said it is not worth fixing and will only give us a SMALL amount towards a new dishwasher.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator (dbl dr) from Home Depot and received it on August 4th. When I went to clean it I found that blood had spilled from a roast and had accumulated all around the inside of the plastic shelf seal. It was impossible to clean. Water just ran inside the seal and diluted the blood. Then, it leaked all over my kitchen. I had a serviceman here for another problem, sent by Whirlpool. He said hed try to get them to replace the shelf. Never heard from him again. I called Whirlpool today. Was told I could buy another shelf. Otherwise, they didnt care. Said it wasnt a functional problem. This is a definite health hazard. Whirlpool used to be wonderful. What happened? I have a dryer, washer, and water tank about to need replacing. Whirlpool wont see a dime from me. (Home Depot, either.) This has become a very bad company. Ive contacted the NY Dist. Attys office. Meanwhile, I have a fridge with a major shelf missing for the holidays and for the foreseeable future.

This is the worst washing machine we have ever owned. We purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set at Lowe’s in Loganville, GA on 04/11/2010. Today is 02/22/2013 and the transmission is shot in the washer. It began making an extremely loud and terrible noise during the rinse and spin cycle. We called a local and trusted appliance repairman, and after his diagnosis including estimate to repair the washer, it totaled over $525.00. This is a terrible washer. I will never ever buy a Whirlpool appliance again. Oh, forgot to mention we have purchased four (4) major appliances from Lowes over the past 2 1/2 years in addition to purchases for our plumbing business and wont do it again! Also, Whirlpool couldn’t care less and there is just one complaint after another for the exact same problem online.

Worst refrigerator (French Door Refrigerator WRF989SDAB00) ever! Even though this Technical Service Pointer was issued, it takes forever to get any satisfaction from Whirlpool. They were not pleasant to deal with when calling the Whirlpool Corporation. I had to research the problem while on the phone with their service representatives. The technician arrives and confirms that the evaporator in the fresh food section is indeed the problem but then it takes days for the parts to come in and then another appointment will be scheduled. Whirlpool does not provide good customer service. A refrigerator should last more than three years. Very disappointed and would never recommend Whirlpool to anyone.

FRUSTRATION!!! It is unbelievable that even appliances have become DISPOSABLE! Where are the days of when our parents bought well made appliances that LASTED 20 years with NO problems??? There was satisfaction knowing that a purchase of an appliance was $$ well spent! These days it costs MORE to replace parts than IF you purchased a brand new machine! We purchased BRAND NEW Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer AND dryer in 2007. The washer has been repaired a total of 5 times and the dryer 3 times!!! IN A SPAN OF 10 YEARS! Are you serious?! With the $$ spent on warranties/ labor/ parts: WE could have purchased new appliances. What is WRONG with this picture? IT IS ALL about making money on REPLACING PARTS/WARRANTIES/LABOR!!! Forget the consumer that is spending THEIR hard earned money to buy the appliances initially. Short of going to a laundromat, the consumer needs to purchase a washer & dryer. So I guess it is a vicious cycle of REPAIRS/REPAIRS AND MORE REPAIRS!!!

Bought a Whirlpool french door fridge in July of 2019, The icemaker began pouring water out of it and the temperature of the fridge would not go below 50 degrees. Contacted Whirlpool and the technician says it will be over $800 in parts plus service to repair. Now I must go 24 days without a fridge in the middle of summer until they can get the parts. Whirlpool should be held accountable for manufacturing the defective fridge and leaving their customers stranded.

We ordered the Whirlpool 6.4 CuFt Electric Slide-in Range WEE745HOFS from Costco on 1/3/2017. It was delivered 2 weeks later. The FIRST time we turned on the oven the top heating element caught fire during the preheat and damaged the interior of the oven! The interior paint was completely burned off above the fire, exposing the raw metal. Costco called Whirlpool for us to ask for a replacement oven. Whirlpool refused. We called too. Whirlpool sent out a repairman who replaced the element and PAINTED the damage on the top of the interior. For weeks, every time we turned on the oven, the house filled with smokey paint fumes. I have a chronic lung disease (sarcoidosis) so the paint fumes were a serious problem. We stopped using the oven. Weve hardly used the oven since that time because we have a nice, large countertop oven. I turned on the Whirlpool oven again in January of 2018. The top element burned out AGAIN after less than a dozen uses! I was 2-3 days past the purchase date and again Costco tried to advocate for us but Whirlpool refused to help in any way.My next door neighbor purchased this exact oven two months before we did and she has had the SAME problems (and worse!) with NO help from Whirlpool! I have HATED this oven even though we mostly use the cooktop. A $1300 oven should NOT burn up an element in less than a dozen uses! The cooktop is very difficult to clean, scratches and stains easily. The trim and panel also scratch very easily. Yes, I did purchase the Whirlpool cleaning kit and follow all directions carefully. My next door neighbor says dont bother trying the Whirlpool Aqualift cleaning feature because it DOESNT WORK! She hates this oven too. By the way, ALL of my appliances are new Whirlpool appliances! So far the dishwasher is doing ok but the microwave is 4 months old and the door is not closing completely, so it has to be adjusted often or it clicks rather than cooking. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN WHIRLPOOL!

What a horrible experience. I purchased a Whirlpool Duet HE Front Loading Steam Washer in 9/9. I have used it no more than 15 times. It has an error code F70. I called Whirlpool and used one of their recommended technicians. He was there for no more than five minutes and he informed me that it was one of the two parts--one is $300, the other is $500. Both these parts are computer chips. He instructed me to call Whirlpool stating that they would give me the parts for free. I did, and they refused stating that the product is now out of the one-year warranty. This is clearly defective. I am now faced with $1,000 fix. I feel that I was further misled by Whirlpool because they should have told me before the service call that I was going to have to pay $1,000. The customer service reps and the manager were both unresponsive and rude.

I bought my Whirlpool Cabrio Washing Machine in 2010. I hate it 100%. I have never used bleach in the machine. I use liquid detergent only. 2 things happen every day: #1: When I wash a load of colors, I take them out when complete and there is dry white powder like substance over the black clothes. It looks dirty but it just got washed. #2 About once a week, I will pull something out of the washer and there is a bleach spot on it. The last item that this happened to was a $200 sweater. I have been married for 43 years and started my marriage with a Kenmore Washer and Dryer. That was because my mother, aunt, and grandmother all had Kenmore Washers and Dryers. Kenmore was made by Whirlpool. In 43 years I have gone through two sets of Kenmore Washers and Dryers, and one set of Whirlpool Washer and Dryer. I have always been very pleased with your product and have never considered buying anything else. However, last year we bought a new Whirlpool washer and dryer. I have no complaints about the dryer, but this washer is a piece of **! It is a cabrio top-loading high efficiency low-water washer. What idiot came up with this idea? Tonight I am once again having to divide my washer load and run them for at least a second time. This is not cost effective!!! This sprinkling with water and sucking it out doesnt work. Not to mention that since we have gotten these wonderful energy saving appliances our electric bill has increased instead of decreasing. You need to make a washing machine with a wash tub and agitator like you use too.

Three years ago I bought a Whirlpool 22 cf bottom freezer (GB2FHDXWB02) & within 2 weeks it developed its first problem. Ive had service men out 3 times (on an extended warranty) for ice buildup and leakage, presumably from the icemaker, and the problem hasnt been solved yet. I tried to open the freezer tonight and the handle pulled off in my hands, nearly sending me head over heels. This thing is a major lemon!!! Dont get me wrong: I love the design! It looks good, keeps everything at the right temps & the bottom freezer is a great idea. Id buy the same design again if I could guarantee no leakage and a handle that wont separate from the door. Now Im having problems getting the repair service to come out here again, despite the warranty. Meanwhile, the fridge is leaking onto the wood laminate floor causing damage. I just replaced an ancient dishwasher & my old Whirlpool glasstop stove after its oven failed. I cant afford a new fridge too.

Whirlpool Platinum Cabrio Washer wtw8240 - Ive owned this washer for two years. Worst two years of my life. Its leaked since day one. They have attempted to repair the leaking on 5 different repair visits (told me the nozzle that puts the water in the tub doesnt stop in time and it overflows on my floor). Finally it seemed to be somewhat fixed and then it started to sound like a freight train coming through my house. They determined the bearings were worn on my tub and had to replace the whole tub unit. Seven visits. I got one month out of it and it’s leaking again. I am now out of the extended warranty I purchased. This is ridiculous. Isnt there a lemon law on appliances? I know if a dealer attempts 4 or more repairs on your car for the same problem unsuccessfully, it qualifies for the lemon law. $800 for a washing machine that dumps water all over my floor and no one can seem to fix it. Well Im done, Whirlpool. Next time I will purchase a plain washer with no bells or whistles and it wont be made by Whirlpool!

This product deserves ZERO stars! I purchased a Cabrio washer - dryer in October, 2013. I have carefully followed the instructions for the washer. I am hugely distressed about the large amount of money I spent on a washer that is absolutely terrible, horrible, awful., no words can adequately express how bad this so-called washer is. The low-water washing has torn up all of my new towels in the matter of a couple of washes. It has completely ripped out the hems of the towels and pulled long ragged strings in the towel. And these were not cheap towels. I am mad at myself for not researching better before buying. I hope my complaint can save another consumer from the misery I am suffering because of this shameful product.

I have tried to clean the oven three times and the stains from pie drippings are still not coming clean. Whirlpool double oven. The electronic control board has been replaced twice and needs to be replaced a third time after less than a year. The thermal fuses go each time I run the self clean. Whirlpools response has been disgraceful, trying to blame the problem on faulty installation when thousands of people have had the same problem. Ignore ANY US companys product; their warranties are worthless and they repair, not replace. My next oven will be European because in Europe they have to automatically warranty for five years any consumer durable. Consumer Reports ratings are worthless since they dont include breakdown experience in the ratings. Never buy anything from Whirlpool. They sell rubbish and dont honor their own warranty. Check the BBB rating. My brand new double oven broke down the first time that I ran the self clean cycle. Whirlpools response was to claim that the cutout opening was 1/8 inch too narrow and therefore they would not honor the five year warranty that I had bought from them. This was a lie, as I verified the width and it was exactly that required. Others have had the same experience. Whirlpool also makes Maytag, Kitchenaid, Kenmore and Ikea.

This is truly a piece of junk! My water heater is 2 1/2 years old and the pilot light will not stay on. Was told that I needed a thermal coupler and paid $30 for shipping. Installed it and still the pilot light will not stay on. Was told again that I needed to replace the main control. Another $30 for shipping. Had that installed and the pilot light stayed on but no hot water. The light was blinking 4x (temperature too hot). WHAT!!? ALL I GOT WAS COLD WATER! Now I was told I need to replace the temperature sensor and they wanted another $30! I told them to I was going to junk it and buy a different brand.

Recently bought and had a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer (from Orvilles appliances) installed in my home. The very first day I hated it. Worst purchase I have ever made. I spent over an hour picking hair out of my clothes, and hair was also stuck in the crevices of the drum. This is the very worst machine and company I ever had to deal with. They told me, Too bad. Since there was no mechanical problem there is nothing they will do. I will never deal with either of these companies again. I cant wait to see what the hair build up will do to the machine itself, Had it less than a week.

Purchased a Whirlpool double oven (WGE745COFH) in September 2018. It is now May 2019. After 5 service technicians verified the erratic temperature fluctuations in the ovens, Whirlpool insists that a +25 degree to -25 degree fluctuation in a heating cycle is normal. The motherboard was changed 3 times, and the sensors were changed 3 times, including hard-wiring the last set of sensors. I called Whirlpool and customer service says that is normal. Ever tried baking at a 350 degree setting that fluctuates from 375 degrees down to 312 degrees while trying to maintain a 350 degree setting? I understand there has to be some fluctuation, but either it took a lot of extra time or burned my food consistently. Ridiculous. So, with the help of wonderful people at Lowes (where I purchased the double oven) Whirlpool is refunding my money and Lowes has taken back the slide-in double oven. In my quest to replace it, multiple appliance sellers have told me that all the new ovens having motherboards and sensors have big fluctuations in the oven heating cycles. I find that unacceptable. My husband and other family members have worked daily in an industry where temperatures were critical. They used ovens that could maintain temperature within 5 degrees of set temperature with analog controls. The home consumers are being ripped off with cheap, sub-standard parts making throw away appliances and getting away with it. What do I buy? Havent figured that out yet, but have purchased a countertop toaster oven that bakes beautifully.

My Whirlpool microwave has been great. Just the right size for my family, with enough settings that it wasnt complicated to use. I found it was very useful with different recipes that I liked to make. I always used it whenever possible to cut down on my cooking time because time is something we dont seem to have enough of. I have baked a lot of different items in my microwave, chickens, all kind of casseroles, cakes. You can even scramble eggs in this one!! It keeps dishes warm until you decide to serve it which is a plus because all microwaves do not have this option. I believe you will enjoy it too!

My family has been without hot water for two weeks. We have the same water heater, we have been to Lowes where we were told the recalled parts were no longer available, unless we wanted to drive 3 1/2 hours to Arkansas to get it. Whirlpool wants to give me a free part for $36.00 worth of shipping and handling! All the local suppliers say I have to go through Lowes, or the manufacturer. I dont want to give whirlpool another dime. This has been a fiasco. How much more can a company disrespect their customer, than to make us pay for a faulty product replacement? It is unacceptable. This is ridiculous. It is December, and I have a family of 7, including a child in a wheelchair.

We purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and Dryer May 2017. First, this washer is SO LOUD! Honestly, NEVER had a washer that is this loud on the spin cycle. My second issue is, that when I wash my blacks, they have white splotches streaks on them. I use ALL clear and free liquid washer and Downy softener, so I stopped the softener, and still the white streaking. Ive since will use the additional rinse on during the wash, but still leaves white streaks. After 3 separate rinse cycles, no streaking. This leaves me thinking that with the lighter colored clothing, there is probably streaking as well, just can see it - my conclusion is that the clothes arent getting cleaned properly, or rinsed. Another issue is the dryer. First, takes longer than all my previous dryers, even the set 110 mins for towels on high, still takes longer. My washers are not packed tight with clothes either - its just my husband and myself - not a lot of washing. Also, I noticed a crack in the inside dryer/drum where it looks like the paint is chipping and cracked. I used some high heat touch up paint, and it did not help. Needless to say, what I thought was an good reputable product, turns out to be, not so good.

I purchased my refrigerator (Whirlpool side by side refrigerator model ED5FVGXW507) in January 2013. We travel more than 6 months out of the year, so we have not had excess usage from the refrigerator. After only a few months, the plastic drawers started to crack. Now, after less than a year and a half, all my drawers are cracked, as well as all my door bins. I will be married 50 years in December, have owned refrigerators for all those years, and this is the first time that I have ever had a drawer crack, let alone all of them, as well as the door bins.

Im 61 so I have some experience. I personally know fridges that have lasted over 20 years. I just Googled it and found out the norm is 14 to 17 years. This hunk of crap lasted 4 years. As soon as I got it home and plugged it in (4 yrs ago) the most noticeable thing was the noise. It sounded like a tractor! I considered taking it back (wish I did). Then after a couple of years the pull handle came off! The whole time we had to be careful the door was closing properly. It was problematic. Ive owned (and re-sold) about a dozen fridges in my life. This the first one to fail on me. It was bad from day one!

We purchased the Cabrio washer and dryer set 2 years ago (7/22/15) from Lowes and have HATED them since day one. The first wash in the washing machine left clothes dirtier than when they went in. Our clothes have never gotten truly clean. The washer has a HUGE tub which is what I liked about it so I can wash my King sized comforters. What a joke that turned out to be. The comforters only get half wet even on the deep water setting. The machine even left dark stains on my light colored comforter and ruined it. Fast forward to 2 years later and the washing machine stops spinning and fills with water clear up to the top of the tub and wont drain. I had to put the machine on the rinse and spin option to get it to drain. Tried a different setting and it worked for a few months but started doing the same thing. The washer seems to be unbalanced no matter what size load I do. I am thoroughly disgusted with this machine and wish I would have never purchased from Whirlpool. The dryer has always worked fine until recently (2 years after purchase). It quit drying the clothes and leaves everything twisted up and wrinkled, even if I take them out of the washer and shake them out before I put them in the dryer. Doesnt matter what setting I put it on, the result is the same. So now it seems as though BOTH of my machines only lasted 2 years. Im not going to bother fixing them, these will be used as target practice. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again.

I purchased a Whirlpool Duet washer in Jan. 2011 and there has been 3 problems. There has been water leaking, loud/banging noises during the spin cycle, and torn clothing. Technicians have visited 4 times in 7 months. At this point, I forsee more problems in the future. I spoke to a supervisor at Whirlpool and I asked if the washer could be exchanged. I was told, If it is repairable then we will continue to repair it. I was also told that I could purchase an additional 1 or 2 year warranty. A comment like that makes me believe that the company foresees problems in the future as well. A company like Whirlpool should realize that customers should not have to spend time leaving work early or taking off to meet with a technician about an appliance so often or at all! I have owned a washer in the past but it was left when we sold the home and I never experienced any problems!

Bought this model from Bad Boy in 2006 and just after the warranty ended the problems began. We kept getting the F1 error code so with a little internet research we found it was a known problem with Whirlpool. I contacted them and was told they knew nothing about this issue being nationwide, however I emailed them copies of the complaints and responses. They sent out a technician who had to replace the motherboard free of charge. Next issue was a loud noise coming from washer sounding like a jet plane taking off. Hubby ripped machine apart to find the bearings blown apart and in tiny pieces. We ordered new ones and also found that when the new ones arrived they came with a tube of grease and a sealer to use so water would not get in later and cause more problems. Funny there was no sealer on the original bearings.Next the lid lock finally failed, ordered a new one but did NOT install it back into the machine, now it sits beside the machine. In case it fails again we will have total access to the laundry this time. Finally the UL error code keeps coming up. I refuse to put any more money into this machine again so I am allowing hubby to fix it if he chooses, whichever way he wants as long as no money is involved. So right now we have bungee cords holding the suspension rods tight to help with the uneven load code coming up all the time. Personal thoughts - DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL washer/dryers. They are crap and the company just does not care and they try to lie their way out of repairs if people have not done their homework.

We bought Cabrio washer & dryer a year & half ago, and I hate, hate, hate the washing machine. Every load, it goes off balance. And you have to stop your other work, unlock & wait awhile on that, and rearrange your load of clothes. I called the repairman when I first had it, and he said, Oh yeah that happens, nothings wrong. OMG! How I wish I had returned it. If you dont rearrange the load when the cycle is done, your clothes are still soaked. So you have to re-drain & spin. Total waste of money & a lot of my time. Weve had this washing machine only a few years, and our household of 2 probably averages 1 load of laundry per week. Weve always had the same problem everyone has with the detergent stains on clothing and having to rewash loads, and the only remedy weve found was using the oversized loads setting and rewashing a load. The last straw was 6 months ago. It quit going through a complete cycle and would not spin out without resetting it. Then it quit spinning out at all. Service Guard, a 3rd party warranty company, diagnosed a faulty motor and ordered a replacement. After a long delay Whirlpool advised it was back-ordered for 3 months. A week ago Whirlpool advised them it was now back-ordered until 5-27. They did not know whether wed ever obtain a replacement motor. After taking clothes to our sons house for a couple months to wash, we purchased another used machine to use until ours is repaired. It is beginning to appear that machine may be our permanent machine. This is a pretty sad testimonial about whirlpool. We have always used Whirlpool appliances but appears we may have to switch brands. And it certainly does appear these low water machines are garbage. Very disappointed in Whirlpool.

Whirlpool service came out and said it was the compressor but all parts are on backorder and no telling when they will be in. Maybe Lowes would replace it, but no because it is longer than 30 days. Lowes when I bought the fridge had over 400 of the same refrigerator in stock so why is it they couldnt had replaced it. Or if Whirlpool sells items on their own why didnt they just replace it. We have been going on 3 weeks without a fridge. With all of this said it didnt even last the 7 years they say they last for now. That is ridiculous when the last one lasted 20 years. My wife and I purchased our new home in November 2014. The house was a foreclosure and therefore owned by a title company who gutted the home and installed all new appliances. Less than a year of ownership, the ice maker on the side by side fridge broke after normal use. Not having proof of purchase, I appealed to Whirlpool given the nature of my situation. They did NOTHING but try and sell me a new service agreement they offer to have it fixed. They cared little about my brand loyalty, situation or circumstances - all they wanted was to make more money off of the consumer. What ever happened to companies wanting to do the right thing in order to retain loyal customers and increase satisfied word of mouth? Stay clear of Whirlpool... Theyre only out for themselves.

We have a 2008 Whirlpool gas range that has worked reasonably well but lately more and more of the electronic push switches on the keypad have stopped functioning. So now I cant set an oven temperature as only a few of the 10 number switches still work. I talked to an appliance repair guy who said that the typical electronic keypads are notorious for burning out after 3-5 years because of heat transfer from the oven. So now Im stuck with an oven that is virtually unusable and a $400-500 cost to replace the keypad control. Is it worth replacing? Can the faulty control buttons be somehow fixed? Shouldnt Whirlpool acknowledge the faulty design and provide a free (and hopefully better) keypad? There must be thousands of people out there with similar circumstances. What about a class action suit? Any advice/opinions out there?

I purchased the Whirlpool Duet washing machine October 2010. When I first got the washing machine, it shook the house (new stick built house) when it was on the spin cycle. They had a repair man come out to tell me that there was nothing wrong with it, it was fine as it was. We thought it was ridiculous, but we are young and didnt know better. He also told us we should fill up the washing machine more than what we where because the clothes wash better when its packed. Big mistake on our behalf! The washing machine has ate thousands of dollars worth of clothing. We did what we where told, so we thought we were doing something wrong. Little did we know we were doing nothing wrong. It was the machine. Then a sock found its way to the drainage field which let water pour out of the washing machine throughout the laundry room and going to the rest of the house. What a mess. We called and they found the problem and removed the sock. Still didnt fix the damaged clothing issue. I called them 1 year and 7 days after we got it and Whirlpool still wont cover their product. They said they where sorry they couldnt help. Well couldnt and wont are two separate things. Its a shame they wont stand behind their product after I bought over $6,000 appliances from them. You think theyd be a little more compassionate to their customers after spending that much money? Now you know how they treat their customers. Dont buy Whirlpool. They (Whirlpool, Maytag, etc. ) are maybe cheaper than their competitors, but its probably worth the extra money if you know theyll stand behind their product. Very unhappy customer!

Bought this washer in May of 2019: Whirlpool - Whirlpool - 4.5 Cu. Ft. 37-Cycle High-Efficiency Front-Loading Washer with Steam and Load & Go™ XL Dispenser - Chrome Shadow. Model: WFW6620HC. SKU: 6313774. Paid over $1,000.00 for it. FIRST TIME washing our sheets, we had snags & rips. I immediately called and was referred to Whirlpool and then referred to an outside repair company. They sent a technician out who said everything was functioning properly despite having ruined 3 sets of sheets (these were not all washed at the same time & I didn’t realize they were being snagged until making the beds).I continued to use the washer - clothes were fine, but yet again, MORE sheets and now comforters RUINED!!!! I called YET AGAIN after troubleshooting the problem myself and finding that the drain holes in the drum had metal pieces sticking up causing the items to snag & rip. Another day taken off work to stay home for the repair. The repair guy comes out, the part was broken. So now I’m left once again with a faulty washing machine AND no ETA on when the new part will arrive and be installed AND having to take yet another day off work.7 sheet sets, 3 comforters, multiple shirts, & multiple bathing suits RUINED & was told there was ‘nothing they could do!’ I will NEVER EVER AGAIN purchase anything with the Whirlpool logo. It’s JUNK! Just an FYI, this was initiated in May of 2019 and it is now the middle of September 2019 with no fix updates. Who can go months without doing laundry???? I purchased a built in black stainless-steel Whirlpool refrigerator in June and took delivery in September 2017. It quit making ice in December and I was told to replace the water filter. So, I did - still no ice. Fast forward to May 2018 still not making ice so finally got repair person out under warranty. He could not figure it out so reset it and said to wait 24 hours and see if there is ice. There was no ice. AND in the morning the whole unit was not working - lost all my food in the fridge and freezer - NOT covered by warranty. A few days later a different guy comes and says the guy that was there is an idiot and no longer with the company. Again, this guy can’t figure out what the issue is between himself and the Whirlpool tech on the phone so he does his thing and gets the fridge on again. Still no ice. Fast forward to 6/20/18 repair guy has been out 3 times and not been able to figure out the issue between his knowledge and Whirlpools team on the phone with him. At one point it worked for a few days and then died again and AGAIN lost all food in fridge and freezer - NOT covered under warranty. As of today even though I have not had a fridge since 5/10/18 and they won’t be back until 6/28/18 and they are just shooting in the dark on the repair cause they never have figured out what the problem is Whirlpool will not replace the unit until this attempt fails. If this attempt fails then they will review/recommend replacement of the unit which will take 2 weeks. That means that Whirlpool is OK with the consumer being out of a refrigerator for almost 3 months or more, losing time and money at work to meet with the repair person multiple times, having spent thousands of dollars on the unit and losing hundreds of dollars’ worth of food. Not to mention the inconvenience and cost of not having refrigerator for a family with a working mother, 2 teenagers and a 90 year old grandmother/great grandmother. But, hey it’s the way the warranty works right?!

We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio about 3 years ago. Have never really like it. It doesnt add enough water to the wash cycle unless you use the bulky setting, which fills the tub up the entire way, so wastes water. It would have been nice to choose your water level like you could on the old machines. Now it wont drain completely and wont spin totally. Ive tried using the drain/spin cycle 2-3 times extra and it still wont spin all the water out. Ive noticed that there is still water in the drum, you can hear it slosh when you move the drum, so I wonder - has anyone ever been told there is a filter in there somewhere that might be clogged keeping it from draining completely? My husband thinks that maybe all the water in the bottom of the drum is not letting it spin because its throwing it off balance. And yes, it stops before the cycle is complete and just sits there and blinks and you have to unplug it to clear the cycle. What a pain. We will never again buy a Whirlpool and I absolutely do not recommend Whirlpool washers. I have a Maytag as well and have not yet had problems with it. Bought it at the same time we bought the Cabrio (2 households). At least the water levels in the Maytag are a little more normal. You can wash more than 1 pair of jeans and get them clean in the Maytag. For those of you with the problem of the clothes not smelling clean - try running the clean cycle with a cup of bleach about once a week. No clothes in it - just a cup of bleach in the bleach dispenser and nothing else. Works for us.

Purchased a gas hot water heater from Lowes in October 2015. Installed the hot water tank and two months later started smelling a faint gas smell coming from around the Honeywell box. Called Whirlpool and they thought it was the gas valve and replaced part, but had to pay $30 for overnight shipping. Had plumber install new part and did not fix the issue. Called plumber back out and he found a small pin hole size leak behind pilot light. Patched the leak and still had a gas smell coming from around the Honeywell box. Called Whirlpool back and after some back and forth was able to get hot water tank replaced, since it was only two months old and should not need any maintenance that soon. Replaced water heater with new tank and this tank has a gas smell coming from around the Honeywell box as well. We replaced all our lines and even had the fire department check out our gas lines. Could not find anything. I am still baffled as to why this tank has a gas smell coming from the Honeywell box. I cant seem to find anyone else having this issue. Whirlpool or Lowes has not been any help. Ready to unhook it and buy another brand. Anyone have this issue?

Whirlpool Duet - Steam cycle and sanitize on wash. Dryer is fast and automatic cycles actually work! Have had the washer 4 years and the dryer over 10. We like the Duet Washer because it had a steam cycle and a sanitize cycle plus it has a light inside that helps us see the laundry in our dark room or at night. Also we have been very happy with the cleaning - does a great job and gets the dirtiest clothes clean. The Fan Fresh feature and Delay Start are very handy especially for busy parents who may forget the laundry is in the washer.

My parents 89 and 76 years old bought a Whirlpool fridge a few months ago.
My parents 89 and 76 years old bought a Whirlpool fridge a few months ago. A month after purchase fridge built up moisture terribly. Water was laying inside so much seeping on floor. We called, Whirlpool sent serviceman out. Serviceman number 1 put some kind of black tape in the door saying it was the seal. We were just disgusted over this and it didnt work. We called again, serviceman number 2 came out, said bad door, so he ordered door. Serviceman number 3 came out, replaced door. Moisture still in fridge, food isnt staying cool, and you can physically still see gap indoor. We called again. Serviceman number 4 came out and said fridge is not level due to floor in house. But nothing wrong with floor in house. This serviceman pushed on fridge said to my 89 year old dad and 76 year old mother and I quote, Put a piece of wood under this side of fridge. We will not replace this fridge. Now mind the fridge was delivered and set up by Lowes. So now this brand new fridge is no good and we have had no help whatsoever to fix this problem. So my parents whom have been married for 62 years with 5 grown children, 16 grandchildren, a 36 greatgrandchildren and 1 great great grandchild have promised none of us will ever look at another Whirlpool anything much less purchase a whirlpool appliance. Just for the simple fact of how a multi trillion dollar company will not stand behind their warranty nor name. We are disgusted with the whole situation. This is the worst experience any of us have ever had. So no I would not recommend Whirlpool to anyone for the simply fact of the way my parents have been so disrespected by this company. Its horrible to know this kind of behavior is even allowed for employees to disrespect people. The Whirlpool fridge is warped, damaged from the time it was built. The warranty I hold in my hand says and I quote after 3 visits and problem not fixed fridge will be replaced.Well Whirlpool has been out 4 times and has refused to replace it. This couple has worked hard all of there lifes, lives on a fixed income and has just threw away money on a Whirlpool fridge they cant use. So now we have are in the process of hiring a lawyer. Its the principle of Good Vs Evil with Whirlpool. How whirlpool has refused to stand behind the Whirlpool warranty. So Like I said earlier I would never recommend buying any product that has anything to do with whirlpool. Shame on Whirlpool just shame on them.

All I ever wanted was a nice refrigerator with the ability to get crushed ice from the door. We bought our refrigerator from Lowes several years ago and have had problems with the ice dispenser ever since. Lowes sent repairmen many times and even replaced the one we purchased with a newer model. Whirlpool refused to replace. The problem persisted and we had to continue calling repairmen. The last straw was when the repairman asked to borrow my hair dryer to help him melt the ice that continuously builds up in the door chute. I stopped going through Lowes and went directly to whirlpool for repairs. Since then I have been told that I should remove the ice box and clean out weekly, be nicer in order to get better help and that my husband should do the talking so that Whirlpool will be more helpful. I am so disappointed. Its been a couple of years since I last called for repairs even though we had the extended warranty. I have to clean the chute daily in order to get crushed ice from the door. Whirlpool knows that their engineers developed an ice dispenser with problems but will not admit it. Their customer service is the worst ever. I will never buy a whirlpool refrigerator again.

Whirlpool Gold Series gas oven with Aqua Lift. Very unhappy with this oven. Cons: Aqua Lift technology doesnt work AT ALL (manual cleaning required); stove top hard to clean; 2 front gas burners are super burners which is fine for boiling water, but too hot for regular cooking. Would be better to have one super burner in the middle or back but two upfront is way too hot for regular cooking, even on lowest setting. Was going to use spray cleaner but cannot on convection ovens. In a bind what to do except scrub with Brillo. Anyone used Brillo?

I purchased my Cabrio washer and dryer 2 1/2 years ago, and for the past 6 months, I have dealt with it being unbalanced and I tried everything to get it balanced. When I researched the problems, I found so many other consumers are having the same problems and that Whirlpool will do nothing about it. I decided to start a petition on Change website to try to force Whirlpool to stand behind their product and correct the problem, offer us a refund or another product, or even fix the darn thing. It is tough economic times, and we spent money to have something that was energy-efficient as well as a product that is supposed to carry a good name. I am a single mother with three children, and I dont have a $1000.00 to throw away after 2 years. This is shameful that we, the consumers, have to deal with this. Please go to the Change website and sign my petition. The more signatures I get, the more leverage we have to deal with Whirlpool. Lets pull together and show Whirlpool we will not stand for them robbing us of a quality product. Thank you so very much.

I purchased a Cabrio top-loading high efficiency low water washer thinking I was doing something for the environment by saving on water and electricity. After about a month, I noticed that my clothes especially those with stretchable fabric were getting larger. My husband kept telling me I was imagining it. Then the clothes would get all tangled especially the pants with ties on the waistband. At the end of the cycle, the clothes are stuck on the sides of the washer and I have to pull them apart. Even after drying, I have to iron everything even my pillowcases which look like they have shrunk they are so wrinkled. I recently bought some 100% cotton outfits and they are even more wrinkled and are starting to lose their shape. I am now noticing that the stains on the clothing are not coming out even when I use a spot remover and put them through a second time. Now I started to notice an odor coming from the machine and my towels and wash clothes have a sour smell. I paid $600 for this machine and after reading the reviews, I just want to replace it. I am now waiting for it to break down. My husband kept insisting I must be doing something wrong. When it goes into the spin cycle, it bounces all around and I have to push it back in place when it is done. I do not think the clothes are getting rinsed enough so now I put them through a second rinse and always put it on low spin. It doesnt see to matter, it sounds like a rocket ready to take off. Is it even worth it to go back to Lowes where I buy all my appliances?

I purchased top load washer and dryer from Lowes last week. When I was washing clothes the first time 12/4/18 (the day Lowes delivered) I washed in quick wash setting, machine was showing me all stages of the wash on the progress lights. It took about one hour for one load. Today 12/11/18 I spoke to your customer service associates Trina regarding the issue with my top load washer wed4815ew1 serial m82572023. I was told a technician is schedule for repair tomorrow. I try to quick wash two loads, washer progress light only went to wash mode only. I had to press start/pause, select drain and spin to remove excess water. I started 8:30 am and finish around 1 pm. I was waiting for the cycle to finish, twice all progress stages light went blank. I have no idea when it will be done. Machine made noise, not spinning, no water in it. The dryer wtw4816fw2 serial c84621285, I dry at energy prefer setting, when the clothes was dry, dryer continue without the buzzing signal to stop. I had to keep watch of the time and turn it off manually so it not energy efficient when I have to monitor when clothes will be dry.

We moved to the mountains of Florissant, CO mid November of 2012. The home we bought needed some renovations. In February of 2013 we bought three Whirlpool appliances from Best Buy before we were ready to. Renovated our kitchen, because they were having a great sale. That was our first mistake. The appliances had to be ordered, and it took a while for all of them to finally come in. We had no idea that it snows up here until almost mid June, and Best Buy wouldnt be able to deliver the appliances until June.We had hired a contractor to renovate the kitchen and had given him half of the money. To make a long story short, he took our money, wouldnt come do the job, but wouldnt give us our money back. Finally did part of the work and never came back again. He sent someone else to do the rest of the job, but he was not licensed, did horrible work that needed to be torn out and be completely redone, yet demanded to be paid for what he did. We ended up in a lawsuit and couldnt hire anybody to finish the kitchen until the lawsuit was settled. By the time the kitchen was finished the refrigerator was already out of warranty.Within days of the refrigerator being plugged up ice began to form at the top back part of the refrigerator. I called Best Buy and over the phone they told me what it was. The refrigerator had been poorly designed. A tube that ran up the back and across the top of the refrigerator to the ice maker created a lot of condensation and was causing ice to form. The Geek Squad representative said that Whirlpool had been aware of the design flaw and had created a kit to fix it. It consisted of insulation, a blower, and maybe a different type of tubing. Anyway, Best Buy said that Whirlpool was responsible for this repair and that it was around $400 and a $100 trip charge, so were talking $500 plus. Since the refrigerator was no longer under warranty with Best Buy I was advised to call Whirlpool since the problem originated in the factory and came like that.I called Whirlpool and they lied and told me there was nothing in their computer system about this design flaw. I called Best Buy back, and they said that Whirlpool had sent something to them about it via the computer and that it was definitely in their system. I called Whirlpool back in July of 2014 and tried to escalate it, but only got the runaround. Now they admit that a recall was done, which had to be in their system, but said that there are two different types of recall. One type is a recall for something that could be dangerous to human life. That type of recall they will take financial responsibility for. Then there is what they call an inconvenience recall. They do not take financial responsibility for anything that falls under that category. For inconvenience recalls, they apparently only contact the companies that have sell their products are contacted, so that they are aware of potential problems that may need to be addressed by their maintenance departments. I feel that a decent, honest responsible company should be willing to take responsibility for things they know were wrong with their product before it ever left their factory or warehouse. Now the freezer isnt working. I called and complained because I thought it was connected to the original problem. All Whirlpool offered to do was to sell me an extended warranty for $319. Its with a company called Assurant, but when you call them they answer as Whirlpool Extended Warranty Program. They told me this would cover the original problem, whatever is wrong with it now, and anything that goes wrong in the next year. I was also promised to not have to put out another dime, so I bought it. Assurant was suppose to set the repair up and pay for it.After almost a week of not hearing from them I called. They informed me that they couldnt find anybody who was qualified to come up here and work on it. I asked them why they didnt call Best Buy. They said it wasnt their policy. I was informed that I was to find someone on my own and have the repairman call them with an explanation of what was wrong with it and the repair cost. If they approved it, then I was to pay for all of the repairs in advance, and they would reimburse me. I had a fit, but they told me that I would either do it that way or the extended warranty would be canceled, and they would just reimburse me the $319 I had paid for the extended warranty.I called Best Buy. They sent a repair man out. He found that the coil at the back of the freezer was covered in a block of ice. He took a blow dryer and thawed it up. He said to put something in the freezer that would freeze it to see if it went back to working properly. He gave us his cell phone number and told us to call him the next day to let him know. In the meantime he was going to contact Whirlpool to see what would have caused that. Well, nothing froze. He called us later and said that Whirlpool had informed him that the coil probably had something that was causing a blockage. It was either a piece of trash that had gotten into the coil at the factory or a bend in the coil, which had to have occurred at the factory; because its inside a closed unit. The repairman said that Best Buy never goes into a closed unit to try to repair it, because they are not qualified, but that if they were it would still cost me a fortune to have that done. He said that Best Buy just replaces the refrigerator, but thats only when its under their warranty. The repair man told me the bill to fix the condensation problem was going to be about $550, and that was before the coil problem was ever discussed. I asked him to call Assurant and tell them everything he told us. He did, and was told there were options to escalate it to the next level. He gave me the phone number. I called it and talked to a representative who told me what the notes in their computer system said. Basically it said to give me my $319 back. Then I was given a phone number to Whirlpool, because I demanded to escalate it.I called the number she gave me. The Whirlpool representative asked me why I hadnt called Sears and offered to call them for me but told me I would be responsible for all the repairs, and that they would not be financially responsible for anything in any way. The guy kept putting me on hold and was apparently getting advice from someone higher in authority.I had already been told that no one in Colorado Springs would go into a closed system to repair that refrigerator, because of the labor and costs. I asked this guy if he just didnt believe the Best Buy repairman or what. There is no telling what Sears will charge me to give me a second opinion. Best Buy has offered to reimburse me for their diagnostic trip up here. If Sears finds the same thing, Im sure they wont reimburse me their trip charge because it didnt come from there. This refrigerator was regularly $2,600. I got it on sale for $2,000 plus sales tax. I cant sell it like it is, I cant get it fixed, and its too big to use as an anchor. In other words, its cost me $2,000 to use this refrigerator for two years, and I have nothing to show for it. You may be saying that I should have bought an extended warranty from Best Buy when I bought it, but that wouldve only taken care of the condensation problem. We wouldve ended up with an unfixable freezer problem anyway. That wouldnt have changed a thing. That extra year warranty would have expired by now.Whirlpool products are inferior, and Whirlpool doesnt take responsibility for their mistakes. They are no better than some of the car companies that have been on the news lately. Take my advice, dont buy Whirlpool products and dont ever be stupid enough to buy their extended warranty. I will never buy another Whirlpool product as long as I live, and if you have any sense, you wont either.

I have a Whirlpool built-in double oven. It is 7 years old. The top oven has overheated 3 times with food in it and it locks the door. The oven beeps and says, Too hot, and locks the door. Luckily I was in the kitchen when it overheated, so I could turn the oven off. After turning the oven off, the oven has to cool off before the door will unlock and the food can be taken out. By then, the food is really burnt.I called Whirlpool to see if there is a recall and they said, No recall, and the oven was out of warranty. So I called the repair shop. They said it was the control board and they were not sure they could get a new control board. I may have to find someone that can rebuild this control board. They said not to use the oven. It could cause a fire. I would think that they should recall these ovens. They should have a safety switch that shuts the oven off if it overheats like mine has done.

I purchased an Electric Whirlpool Aqualift convection range in November of 2012. This product is garbage! The oven doesnt work well (temperature is always off), the Agualift cleaning method doesnt work well. You have to self-clean to clean it. The most troubling problem is that just after a year of owning it, the finish on the control panel started to crackle. I called Whirlpool, and all they can do is send me a replacement part for which I have to pay for and have installed. My last GE range lasted over 15 years. This range is garbage from day 1. My family purchased a Whirlpool stainless steel dishwasher at Lowes for around $500. We were replacing a very old GE dishwasher which was so loud you had to leave the room anytime you started it because you couldnt even talk over it. We love the new Whirlpool dishwasher. It is so quiet we thought it was broken at first because we couldnt hear it running and even though it cleans exceptionally well we still sometimes have to look to see that the light is on to know that its actually running. The whole family agrees this may be one of the best purchases weve ever made. The only con I could think of is my son and I put the dishwasher in ourselves and this is the first one weve ever done and the instructions werent as clear so we had to redo the piping of the waterlines a couple of times to figure out in what order to be done. But everything hooked up correctly and worked immediately without a problem. Couldnt be happier.

Purchased a Gold Series Whirlpool dishwasher, Mo. No. WDT720PADW2, From Maruszcak in Schererville, In. on 1-29-16. Approximately a year later door was replaced by Whirlpool because of paint problem due to faulty design. Replaced door is now peeling and rusting by exhaust vent also. Contacted Whirlpool and they will do nothing more. They said it was a favor the first time they replaced the door. They feel this is a cosmetic problem! I paid a total of $675.03, Their repairman would charge a $100.00 to look at it and another $235.00 for a new door. I feel this is a design problem and they should replace it with a new model, a refund would be better. Very unlikey, because Whirlpool does not stand behind their products. The line also includes Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana and Hot Point. Besides this I have found plastic pieces that have fallen off! I had to use plastic ties to keep them in place. Dishwasher does not clean well. Have to rinse everything first. Products are bad, stay away from them!

I purchased a GW399LXUS Whirlpool Gas Range. This is the slide in kind. I paid 1658.00 dollars for this stove, because it was a gas convection oven. We purchased it on 7/21/09. Just yesterday, the keypad numbers stopped working. I cannot even set a temperature for the oven. So now, I can only use the burners. I called Whirlpool today. They told me that my stove does not have any recalls so there is nothing they can do about it. I spoke with Jessica in Michigan. I told her how dissatisfied I was that the stove is only 2 years old and the most important part (the buttons) stopped working and they only cover this for one year. She told me that I have to remember that man made things are made to stop working at some time. I told her they should work for longer than 2 years. I remember way back when my parents bought a stove or fridge and they lasted for 15 to 20 years before breaking or stopping to work.I am a long time Whirlpool customer and always had good luck with their products. But I really feel that they should fix this problem. I could understand if the stove was 8 or 10 years old and something broke after using it, but not after 2 years. I will definitely tell everyone I know to not buy Whirlpool or Maytag since they are one in the same. I probably will not buy Whirlpool again and will have to buy something from Japan since it will last longer. So much for buying American made junk!

The noise in the spin cycle with even small amount of laundry sounds like a helicopter is about to land. Then last night I noticed black oil splattered all over my floor. This is a $800.00 machine. It cleans well, and is easy to select water temp, spin speed, etc. It's simple to load, but because I am short, I have difficulty reaching stuff at the bottom of the tub. A stool is needed. LOL. In the 5 years that I have owned it, I have not needed any kind of service to be done on it. Very reliable. I turned it on as instructed and heated at the high temperature to rid it of the odours. When it is turned completely off the cooling down process begins, which blows the hot air from the oven into the room, causing some annoyance from the hot air, as well as the noise. Not sure I am going to be so happy in summer. I am certain it is a wonderful product for baking results, but with this annoying feature, I am not feeling so happy about it.

We bought our Whirlpool Refrigerator a little over three years ago. Within a few months we started having problems with the unit. From ice maker issues, cooling and freezing. Initially the frig was covered under Whirlpools 1 year warranty. Then our extended 3 year warranty kicked in through HH Gregg which they supplied for free because of their poor handling of the initial sale. We have lost track in how many times a repair man has come out to work on the refrigerator. In the last year alone its been at least 8 times. The most recent problem had been the freezer not defrosting properly to the point where we had to store food in our neighbors freezer. The repairman has tried everything he knows and is stumped. Well our extended warranty has run out but theyll continue to work on the problem as long as we report the issue within 30 days which creates a whole different set of issues. The extended warranty states they will replace the refrigerator if it has the same problem 3 times. However what they dont tell you is that if you call BEFORE 3 time period its considered a recall and that doesnt count towards the 3 strike rule. We contacted Whirlpool and they wont cover the refrigerator because the repair company isnt on their approved list. Really a Sears repairman isnt approved? So buyer beware of a lemon Whirlpool Frig! They seem to have a way of not covering their product.

Each time you order the part, the part is free but you have to pay $30.00 for shipping. I am tired of dealing with this. One year to the day after the warranty expired, the meat drawer in the refrigerator began filling with water. Two repairmen have been to my home and cannot repair it due to a design flaw. Also, I had to pay for a cracked bottom tray that happened during delivery which I didnt know occurred at the time. Whirlpool is now ignoring my phone calls and emails. We paid in excess of $800 last year. What am I going to do now? Buy another refrigerator and get rid of this one? I dont make that kind of money and I feel Whirlpool should stand behind their products. This model is not even on the recall list so that means to me that other consumers buying this model are getting ripped off also. The customer service people say sorry but wont budge on reimbursement. I was told they cannot honor my request. Whether this was under warranty or not, it still cannot be fixed according to the repair tech that was at my home. I need to find someone to help me before this lemon I bought decides to burst into flames. I want a replacement refrigerator, not this model of course, of equal value. I am not asking for the moon, just for something that works beyond one year. In this economy, we cant afford to buy a major appliance after one year. I bought a washer and dryer a couple months ago. The washer has been completely replaced already. It is a piece of garbage. I have to wash my laundry four times and still my clothes are not coming out clean. I have three small children and it is just a pain to always be washing their clothes. Things as simple as orange juice not coming out of a shirt even using bleach. It was sold to me with high efficiency and great water consumption but of course it is, it doesnt use any water to wash the clothes. I had a tech come out to look at it and even they said its had so many complaints about how it washes. She said that the wash machine is the worst out there and I totally agree. If you cant wash baby clothes and get puke out of a bed sheet then I could just imagine grass stains. Wash machines don’t last forever but I can promise you I will never purchase another in my life. Best part of it is when whirlpool was approached, did absolutely nothing about. Basically said, “Have a good day, thats what you bought, thats what you get.” Considering its still under a year warranty. Tell me I will never buy a whirlpool again and I will never recommend one to anyone who asks. The customer service and product dont stand anything against other manufactures. I learned my lesson the hard way but Ive opened my eyes. Never purchase a top loader. Word of mouth travels fast. I know my complaint probably means ** to whirlpool but for what its worth, Ill be spreading the word around.

Four year old Whirlpool Refrigerator/Freezer Model W10771736A. Ice maker broke right after the warranty ended. No refrigerator or certified whirlpool repairman was able to fix the problem. Our microwave is cracked on the side, and it is only four years old.

Whirlpool stove and dishwasher very good quality. I find that the quality is beyond excellent for the amount of money. I would highly recommend Whirlpool. Easy to clean, heats up fast, looks beautiful. I would never change Whirlpool for anything else.

Purchased the fridge from hhregg in August/September 2012. Model G16FARXX. After less than three years of owning it, found out today that the compressor is shot and will have to be replaced. Replacement/repair costs are ~$900, almost as much as the fridge brand new. Chatted with customer support and then would/could not do anything. I feel ripped off. If it happened after 5 years of use, then my attitude would be different, but not a major component going out in less than 3 years.
