Like many others Im experiencing the same sensor problem with my 4-year old Whirlpool oven. It wont start even after opening and closing the door multiple times as directed. I installed this oven to replace the original Whirlpool model when it died after about seven years. Im absolutely done with this thing. How frustrating when you find out that your guest isnt able to a forgotten cup of coffee that went cold. I thought to call a repairman but after reading all the reviews, I feel its better to switch brands.

We just recently remodelled our kitchen and decided to buy a Whirlpool Range. Big mistake. First off, the range was advertised as a built in but it ended up looking like a slide in. We were disappointed but decided it was ok as long as the range performed fine. However, within 6 months of buying it, the oven fan broke and the oven became unusable. I used it only 2 - 3 times before it gave up. Extremely disappointed. Our old oven was sturdier and lasted many years and was in a very good condition when we gave it away. Extremely disappointed since we paid a lot for it.

Water filtration unit was leaking only when someone got water. It pooled into the bottom of fridge and ran out under the fridge and because of the slope of the floor was running back towards the wall. We didnt notice until our laminate wood flooring was starting to swell up. It was probably leaking since the day we bought fridge brand new, but took us 4 months to notice. Whirlpool said they will not fix our flooring, only the fridge. We had to make a homeowners claim which we did. When the contractor moved the fridge back after replacing all flooring it starting leaking from the ice maker unit. Only when the ice tray filled it would gush out water. Our flooring is now ruined a 2nd time and Whirlpool will not fix the floor. Repairman said that Whirlpool used rigid parts in the water and ice maker units and tons of people are having the same problem. Since there is no flexibility in these parts they break when the fridge is moved. Whirlpool sucks and I am fighting with them and Lowes to get this fridge replaced with a non Whirlpool appliance. I will never buy Whirlpool again.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator, model # wrt779reyb00 with serial # vs13537798. The icemaker quit working and then water started leaking out from the door. A&E serviceman came out to repair and said we needed a new door. It had been over 11 weeks and the door still has not arrived and we have been told it could be as late as November. When I purchased an item, I expect it to work and if not, to be repaired within a reasonable time or be replaced. I have called and been told that replacement is not an option and that I will just have to wait. This is unacceptable. I purchased this refrigerator with water in the door and an icemaker and I expect it to work.

I brought a Whirlpool refrigerator on 2/15/2020, French doors. Bottom freezer. I have had issues with the bottom freezer from day 1!! Ive had gaps in the gasket seal and air was coming from the freezer. This happened 3x. Now there is a build up of frost and ice. STAY AWAY!! Ive never had any issues with Whirlpool until I purchased this updated refrigerator. I should have stuck with my regular top freezer refrigerator. No issues!!

We purchased a top of the line (we thought) Whirlpool stainless dishwasher
We purchased a top of the line (we thought) Whirlpool stainless dishwasher 15 months ago from HHGregg. All was fine until 2 weeks ago - it produced a burning smell and was making a funny noise. We had it looked out. The motor is burning out. I called Whirlpool and explained the issue. There is nothing they can do. It is over 12 months. Really? They cant stand behind their product? I understand if it was a small part or such but an entire motor burning out in just over a year? I know that not all products can be perfect, some times mistakes slip through the line. I guess it was silly of me to expect a company in todays age to stand behind their name and product. Obviously, with this company, it is buyer beware.

Purchased Whirlpool refrigerator model #WRF532SMBM & a new dryer on 11/14/15 from Community Appliance in Middletown, NJ. Waited 3 wks for delivery. Worst purchase ever! Very cheaply made. There is a 1 space between shelf edge & walls all the way around. Put a lb. of butter on shelf & it fell down to the bottom. There is no butter keeper which allows orders to be absorbed by open butter. No egg keeper. In the freezer, the bins are wire baskets. So far I have dropped a bag of frozen blueberries & they fell to the bottom of the freezer. In French door bottom freezers it is almost impossible to retrieve items falling through. Ice packs fall through, very poorly designed. Very loud, supposed to have a water filter in upper right corner for easy access... its not there!Called Whirlpool, waited 20 min. & all the rep could say was, So sorry youre not happy. Asked if modifications could be purchased or made... nope. Asked to speak to quality control, a supervisor, anyone that may be able to give some satisfaction. Nope. She was making notes of all my complaints so they can be passed on to engineers for future models!!! Had a rebate offer, rep transferred me to that dept... cant/ wont honor it because 1 day too late. KitchenAid, Whirlpool doesnt care once they have your $. NEVER again. Ill shop Kenmore products from now on.

Oct 14th I walked down to our basement to find it flooded. Turns out the leak came from the solenoid that controls the water feed to our Whirlpool Gold Series refrigerator. Now, some $28,000 in damages later - floors/cabinets/walls/electronics - you name it. The repair company said that they replace these units a lot as it is simply a faulty design and Whirlpool knows this as this part is very difficult to obtain - too much demand. Well aside from the cost, the inconvenience, and the rise in our insurance rates the repair person said there was a good chance of the new part failing as well - it just cant take the water pressure as it is just cheap plastic. My advice - stay away from Whirlpool!

We have a Whirlpool double oven that is about 3 years old. Today we used the oven for lunch and about 2 hours later we heard a loud sound from the kitchen. When I went to see what had happened I found glass shards all over the kitchen, some as far as 10-12 feet away. The outside glass of the top oven was spider-webbed and had apparently exploded. Nothing had come into contact with the oven and nobody had been in the room with it for over an hour, it just randomly exploded. I am going to contact Whirlpool but judging by the other posts I dont expect much help from them.

I have had trouble with this AccuBake stove since four months after I bought it in 2011. First, the clean cycle would work intermittently then would not ignite to bake, broil warm or clean. All burners would light intermittently. Every time I had trouble, I called the service tech from Homestead Lumber, where I purchased the product from and he could never find anything wrong. Product would work fine whenever he came out. Finally, it acted up in May of this year while the product was still under warranty and while the service tech was here. The tech replaced the circuit board. One month later, Im still having trouble replacing igniter. Four days ago, Im still having trouble. This stove stinks. Right now, I wish I had my $959 back for the stove and wish Whirlpool had it stuck up their butt.

I contacted Whirlpool and was told the warranty has expired (one year). This repair will be around $175. How can I trust a Whirlpool product in the future?

We purchased this one (Wall Mount Model # WMH76719CS) on July 30, 2015. About one month ago I started noticing that a simple large cup of water to make tea or instant coffee takes more than 2 minutes on power 10 to heat up enough. It used to take about 1 1/2 minutes. Now, Im no mathematician, but I believe thats about 25% power loss in 6 months. The same applied to any convection dinner Ive tried to cook lately. Im going to say that Im dissatisfied with the convection feature and would rather just bake the silly food in the regular oven as usual. Any planned-overs trying to re-heat is taking much longer as well as melting butter. I do not have much confidence in Whirlpool microwaves right now, and may never again.

We bought this Whirlpool Cabrio washer 2 years ago and have hated it since
We bought this Whirlpool Cabrio washer 2 years ago and have hated it since the first load. It does not clean clothes, and the so-called large capacity will barely clean 5 regular towels. And if you wash diapers, do not buy this washer. If a load is really dirty, you have to wash it 2 or 3 times for clothes to be clean. Then, there is the awful mildewy, moldy smell after a few washes. How can a washer that gets so bacteria-laden be allowed to be sold on the market. Ive been washing laundry for 45 years, and Ive never had this kind of wash-related problems. This washer is an overpriced nightmare. I cannot wait until I can save enough to replace it. And I am watching and hoping a class action suit comes out to force Whirlpool to take these washers back, refund the money spent, and apologize to all the people who purchased one.

Refrigerator was purchased in March 2015. Icemaker filled the basket two times then never worked properly again. The water would enter the tray, freeze, but never drop the cubes. In order to drop the cubes, we had to unplug the refrigerator for a moment then we would have those few cubes. We used one service company sent by Whirlpool that came 3 times, adjusted temp, and replaced one electrical part. It didnt work. The repairman was going to call for support from Whirlpool to see if anyone else had had this problem. I didnt hear back from him until I called him 1 1/2 weeks later. He basically said there was nothing else he could do. Whirlpool sent out another service company. He replaced 2 electrical parts. They didnt work. We have no choice but to keep having service men come out and try to repair the refrigerator. What happens when the warranty has expired? They are trying to sell me an extended warranty. Give me a break. It would be nice to have a working refrigerator first. I wish I would have read these reviews before I ever bought a Whirlpool. Im 78 and Im still learning. Never again, Whirlpool. Ill spread the news as well because we all work too hard for our money to throw it away on poor products.

We bought the Whirlpool duet washer & dryer in the winter 2011. The washer is absolutely awful. I have to keep it set on the Whitest White setting so every load gets a second rinse. In order for my clothes to smell CLEAN I use bleach in every load I can. With the loads I absolutely cant use bleach in, I have to be standing waiting to put the clothes in the dryer or I have to rewash the entire load because of the smell!! My towels are ruined from the bleach and my clothes are faded because of the multiple wash cycles. I have used the recommended Affresh numerous times and it does not help! Needless to say this washer was a total WASTE of money! We will be purchasing a new washer very soon! It will NOT be Whirlpool!!

We bought Whirlpool duet front loading washer and matching dryer. In 3 years the water level seemed like it was off. Clothes, especially towels were coming out stinky. Eventually you could hear the clothes were merely flopping around wet. Before we could order the repair part it completely quit and locked our clothes into it. I washed my clothes at my daughters house for a week and dried them at home. Within the week the dryer quit. Not having the money to repair both machines, my son gifted me a set of top loading washer/dryer. Again Whirlpool. In a week we had repair service out. They replaced everything possible and it still didnt work right. Since the 90 days from purchase was approaching we returned it to the store and they had Whirlpool send us a brand new dryer. This one worked for a month then stopped spinning. I havent called for service yet because now with 3 broken machines I am so disgusted. When I think about them I feel like I am going to puke. My washing machine shouldnt be the worst thing in my life, especially since it was a lovely gift from a wonderful son.

Very disheartening to know that an established company such as Whirlpool does not stand behind their products or acknowledge known product defects. Based on the quantity of complaints logged on this site alone, Id think a recall would be required. Identical to other consumer posts within, we purchased the Cabrio Platinum washer/dryer set (WTW8000BW0). Exactly 24 months to the purchase date, jet planes began flying through our home with the noise concentrated in the laundry room. The dryer has been fine; however, the washer is a whole other issue. The bearings are shot (as many users have cited) and the noise is deafening... even with the laundry door closed, TV on high, dogs barking and flurry of activity in the kitchen! We made a switch to the Whirlpool brand 2yrs ago due to reputation and longevity. Ooops. Lesson learned and $700 out the window. Back to GEs. If youre reading this and concur with our review, just remember... customers always have a choice! Unfortunately, Whirlpool will figure this out the hard way. Just like other iconic brands... Smith-Corona, Blockbuster, Polaroid, Nokia, Saturn, Pontiac/Oldsmobile, Sony and many others. There is typically a reason a company offers tremendous sales incentives (price cut, rebate, special financing) to unload products. We found out why. Thanks for the memories Whirlpool!

I had to have this dishwasher fixed a month after purchase (this shouldve been a clue that this was a lemon). Ive had a repair person take the thing apart to try and find the problem (at the cost of $250) with no luck. The day after it was fixed it started leaking underneath the machine. Serviceman came and looked at it and said No must be the hoses (my responsibility to fix). Nope kept leaking and two months later Im doing laundry and an entire load of water floods my laundry room. Drum broke again!! SIX WEEKS LATER I still am waiting for a new drum. We purchased a new Cabrio top loading washer in June of 2011 to replace a Maytag Neptune (thinking at the time that wed gone as low as possible). We didnt abuse the machine. In fact, because it had a tempered glass lid (in a plastic frame), we were careful with the lid on the machine. It broke during a wash cycle. Because its heavy, the lid has spring supports on both sides; these are stronger than the plastic frame and over time the frame will break, rendering the machine inoperable. The discounted price for a new lid is over $200, and Maytag (I mean Whirlpool) tells us that it lasted through the 365 day warranty, so the bill is on us. It may be green when it works, but taking 18 month appliances to the landfill is not very green. And others on the web report say that the lid only lasts a year or so. The ratings scale needs to have negative values. Id give this appliance a -5.

Does not get your clothes clean. They come out of washer smelling due to lack of water. Darks have Detergent Residue on them. My t-shirts have holes in them. Bought this machine in 2010. Just purchased a Whirlpool top load with a Agitator and I am very pleased with the results. We never had any problems with Whirlpool products but this Cabrio should be taken off the market, faulty advertising. Talked to a Whirlpool rep and she told me to bunch up clothes and place around outside edges of machine for best results but did not see any difference. Do not buy this washer. You will be wasting your money and you will be buying a old traditional washer, with an Agitator is your best bet so you can control the amount of water you use. I hope this helps one that is thinking of buying the new technology top load Cabrio with HE.

Our Whirlpool refrigerator had to have repair in less than a year after purchase. That was a bad experience last summer and I had to complain through every avenue I could find just to get the replacement part shipped to the repair shop. Now I know it was not too smart on my part, but I bought a Whirlpool washer last September. You guessed it, not even a year old and it is not working. The drawer guides on the large clear drawer at the top of the whirlpool refrigerator are very flimsy causing the drawer to drop when pulled out to the stop. When I called about this I was told it was cosmetic and not covered under warranty. I purchased the extended warranty which will replace the flimsy parts with the same flimsy parts. On 6/24/2024 Denisia sent me new side rails, exactly the type I have. I replaced them but the right side one broke. I regret ever owning one and will not recommend a whirlpool product to anyone. It is very obvious to anyone, after using this product, that that particular part is not safe and is definitely more than a cosmetic problem. I have already dumped the contents on the floor once and have just managed to catch it more times than I care to count. I spoke with Danielle on 5/14/2014. This is the worst washing machine we have ever owned. We purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer set at Lowe’s in Loganville, GA on 04/11/2010. Today is 02/22/2013 and the transmission is shot in the washer. It began making an extremely loud and terrible noise during the rinse and spin cycle. We called a local and trusted appliance repairman, and after his diagnosis including estimate to repair the washer, it totaled over $525.00. This is a terrible washer. I will never ever buy a Whirlpool appliance again. Oh, forgot to mention we have purchased four (4) major appliances from Lowes over the past 2 1/2 years in addition to purchases for our plumbing business and wont do it again! Also, Whirlpool couldn’t care less and there is just one complaint after another for the exact same problem online.

Bought the Cabrio washer in March 2011. Have had the same problems as everyone else. The machine is constantly off-kilter, does not wash well due to lack of water. Sounds like a freight train when spinning. Bulky clothes dont drain properly and have to be rinsed and drained a second time. After one year of ownership, the entire control panel had to be replaced. The next year, the same control panel had to be replaced again plus a water valve had to be replaced. Thank God I bought the extended warranty. We have a large family so when we needed a new refrigerator we found this very large unit (Whirlpool 32 cu). About this unit, its not really all that wide, but it is very deep. Lowes didnt have a model on the floor but we went by photos. Also the salesman showed us a smaller version of this unit and we were impressed with the design. However unlike the unit we saw the shelves arent adjustable. They are preset. Also the ice maker on top is very small and makes ice very slowly. The freezer section ice maker is much larger. The main complaint I have with that is unless you push the tray all the way to the back ice can drop behind the tray and fall down causing the freezer door not to always close properly, leaving you with semi defrosted food. Whoever designed this refrigerator was an idiot. All issues are really related to design flaws. This is a very expensive refrigerator. I expected a great unit and got a piece of crap instead. Stay away from this model at all cost. It would be smarter to buy 2 refrigerators instead if you have the room. This model will give you nothing but a headache and grief. This is our story about our experience. This all took place within 1 year. We bought it at Lowes. They were wonderful when it came to taking care of us when it was within the stores’ warranty. They really tried to help us. Once their warranty ran out they put us in touch with our new repairmen. Lowes did tell us that one other man bought the same unit and he was up to refrigerator # 15. Like I said, this unit is crap. Our first unit was delivered with a huge dent in the door. They took it back (lucky for us we have 2 other refrigerators).Second unit arrived in store also badly dented. They didnt bother to deliver that unit. Third unit arrives at store but back area around motor all dented up. They order a 4th unit. This unit wasnt dented up so they delivered it. However doors were very off and wouldnt line up so it didnt close properly. A 5th unit was ordered and same issue with the doors. A 6th unit ordered and they called telling me that it was all dented up and needed to order a new unit. Our 7th unit arrived and in 3 days started making funny sounds. Dual ice makers stopped working and inside refrigerator is was very warm. Lowes ordered #8. This unit the freezer doors werent lining up so #9 was ordered. This time everything seemed to line up, no dents however by the third month it started making a funny sound. Dual ice makers stopped working. Warm inside the refrigerator section. Lowes sent out a repair man. He explained a design flaw was not enough insulation around the fan so it was icing up. That was replaced and it was working nicely for 4 months. Same issues with fan icing up, the noise and no ice. The repair man came out again and mentioned what was kind of a recall with the unit. The control panel in the back of the refrigerator was wrong and needed the correct one to be put in. That was done. He told us that we shouldnt have any more issues with it.Same thing again. Same symptoms, same results...we had to throw out hundreds of dollars worth of food. (I just put in an entire prime filet mignon I planned for a special dinner and had to throw it out. OUCH!) Awaiting for the repair man, again. He will be out in 5 more days. Im sure it will be a new issue, a new brand new fix and it will work for a few weeks to months and we will be calling him again.

We purchased in July 2016 from Best Buy. Very nice product. Our former Whirlpool had lasted 20 years and was a work horse for our family. The new one began not freezing ice cream in November. Then, it would periodically freeze things very well and then not freeze items fully. We contacted Best Buy thinking we had a lemon. Worthless - no help. Told us to contact Whirlpool directly. The repair person came out today and told us that our refrigerator cannot be in our garage outdoors because the energy efficiency of the refrigerator causes it to shut off when the surrounding temp drops below 54F. Our former Whirlpool had been outdoors in our garage in that spot for 18 years, no problems. The new models now no longer operate if the air cools down around them. What!? There is no warning information, no sales information, no way to learn this until after you shell out 1000 dollars and lose your frozen food. It is in the manual in fine print, but we didnt read the manual cover to cover when we got the refrigerator, and we sure didnt read it BEFORE we bought it. And no one at the store, nor the installation people who represented Best Buy as paid installers told me I couldnt have this outside, even though I specifically told them I was buying it for our outside extra fridge and freezer to replace the old one, and the installers installed it outside. Technically our refrigerator is working as its supposed to apparently. However, I think it should prominently be noted on pre-sales materials that it must be operated indoors only (in climates always >54 degrees). Now I have a new refrigerator that I cant use as an extra in our garage. Apparently all the new fridges are energy efficient like this and shut off below 54. I cannot find any info on the internet about this, or any other complaints about a similar situation to mine. How does that make any sense? Freezing is 32 so any frozen goods will thaw, by default, always, if the machine is in cool environments. Phooey on this design spec. Dumb engineers.

The washing machine is so loud when it is on, drowning out conversations esp when cooking or eating (it’s located in the kitchen). The machine tumbler has to be constantly readjusted no matter the size of the wash or how many times my husband or myself adjust the tumbler; consequently the washing machine is always dancing, making a horrible banging noise. The washer is under 6 years old. With that said, when you open it, the lip is all rusted out.

This machine is 18 months old. First it failed to drain (LD code). Ran diagnostics and found the drain pump ($60) failed. The Mexican part was replaced with an Italian part. Two weeks later, the infamous F1 code flashed - control board. I sourced a new one. I ran one load and another F1 code is flashing. These are $150 electronic parts. Fuhgetaboutit. Im sending this ** to the dump and going back to electromechanical controls. I had a Maytag that lasted 15 years.

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio with the touch panel and top loader. The absolute worst. The machine leaves white marks all over dark clothes even when the extra rinse feature is used. Ive tried multiple detergents, skipping fabric softener completely, using very little detergent, and even tried different water temperatures. Nothing works. And should one have to go through such extremes to not have white streaks left on dark clothes? Absolutely not especially for the money spent. The machine wrinkles clothes like I have never see before. The dryer usually gets them out but not always. They are mangled after washing. Using the first or second spin speed helps reduce some but they are wetter going into the dryer that way. If I wash bed clothes, the tight fitting sheet that fits snugly around the mattress must be washed alone. If not, all the other items end up encased in it as if youve intentionally packed it that way to carry everything around. This leaves everything absolutely soaked. I have also had shirts come out with dry spots on them. How does a piece of clothing come out of a washer with more than one dry spot on it? And no I did not over pack the machine.I have had no problems with the dryer. It does its job so no complaints on that. I would not recommend the Whirlpool Cabrio to my worst enemy. Complete waste of time, money, and water!!! Very disappointed and will never buy from this company again and will prevent anyone else from doing so the rest of my life. Did the company do zero testing on this machine before selling it? Because I see a lot of repetitive reviews. Or the company was well aware and did not care and just wanted to make money? Either way is unacceptable. Garbage!!!

In May 2010, I purchased a Whirlpool WFW9750WW front load washing machine. In October 2010, the machine started making a strange noise and by December 2010, the machine sounded like a jet airplane. I called Whirlpool warranty and they sent out the appliance doctor. They looked at it and said that the bearings were shot and needed an inner basket, outer basket and one other item. They would order it and come back in a week or so. We were told not to use our machine. Ten days later, I called to check repair status and they said that the items were on back order until late January. I called Whirlpool and after several conversations and going to the second level of supervisor over a week time frame, they finally located the part and shipped it. However, it was not until the end of January 2011 (seven weeks after my call for service) that the part arrived and was installed. The sound was never right after the repair. The appliance doctor came out and told me that all washers are loud. In December 2011, the jet airplane sound returned. I called Whirlpool but I was now out of warranty. Luckily, I bought the extended warranty through Lowes. They sent out Night Owl on February 9th 2012. They diagnosed the same problem with the bearings and said they would order the parts. I called Night Owl on February 17th to check on status and they said that the parts were ordered. I called to check status again today and now the parts are on back order (same as last time) until sometime in March. Night Owl turned claim over to check on getting the machine replaced rather than repaired. I was told that this would be another five days. Its amazing how there are no parts available. I was told the repair cost for this item is over $450 as it takes two repairmen about two to three hours to complete. Issue is still not resolved. I highly recommend not buying a similar washing machine. Whirlpools product, warranty and customer service suck.

Purchase a brand new Whirlpool fridge at the Fry’s Electronic in 2017. Broke down in 2018 almost 1 year after. Called Whirlpool company for replacing a new one. They didn’t replace before they had sent out a certified technician for fixing 3 times. It took forever to fix it, and still had the same problem after months. Finally, they agreed to replace a new one. Now I still have the same problem with a newer one which they replaced it over a year ago (including fixing and placing time). Just called to the Whirlpool company today for fixing or replacing, spoke to rep Sara, she said that it’s no longer under warranty because it’s more than 1 year. I told her that because the company didn’t replace right away; therefore, it has been more than 1 year; but from the time they replaced it, it hasn’t been 1 year. Ill never buy any Whirlpool products again.

We just received our brand new Whirlpool washer and dryer from Home Depot.
We just received our brand new Whirlpool washer and dryer from Home Depot. The delivery person started the washer and started the dryer and promptly departed. My husband immediately put a load of laundry into the washer, and he noticed there was insufficient water levels to adequately wet the clothing. Approximately 3 tablespoons of warm water were added at intervals of approximately one minute each. The water level never rose above 3 inches at the bottom of the tub despite setting the washer on the heavily soiled setting. After the spin cycles he removed the extremely damp clothing and it appeared that the machine had not properly completed the spin cycle and drained an insufficient amount of water from the clothing. He tried another load, and it appeared that the sensors were not working which regulate the water levels because most new machines use far less water. However this washer was defective. He then placed the clothes in the brand new Whirlpool dryer. The clothes ran for over five hours and never dried and the dryer never got hot. There was obviously something wrong with the thermostat. We are both disgusted and will never ever buy a Whirlpool product again. In addition because of the extremely poor response from Home Depot, we will never purchase an appliance from them again either. So sad that Made In America, which was on a sticker on the front of the machines, does it mean diddly squat these days.

I bought in 2008 a Whirlpool Cabrio washer because it was the best. It cost me $900 plus 170 extended warranty for four years. This month, my washer showed an f1 code. I call the Maytag store and guess what, they are not there anymore. They closed the store. I called for my extended warranty and guess what, they are not with Maytag and they filed a chapter 7. So, I spent over $1000 in a machine that only worked three years and now I have to buy another just because no one wants to take the responsibility on the warranty. I have to pay another $300 to fix the problem and even doing that, theres no guarantee that it wont fail again. So, and this is to the people of Maytag and their cheats, you may take my money but you lose me as a customer forever. Thank you for nothing. I will keep that in mind next week when Ill be in the store buying another washer.

I recently renovated my kitchen and was so excited to have a new range. Loved the looks of this one so I bought it. I’ve had it a little over a year now, and am so disappointed. The “stainless” trim around the knob area is peeling and the AquaLift self-clean DOES NOT WORK! After the AquaLift cycle, there was a watery mess in the bottom of the oven which was difficult to clean up. It would have been better if I had cleaned it the conventional way. I’m not sure what to do at this point. The area where the trim peeled off looks awful and is very noticeable. Take my advice and do not buy!

Bought the Whirlpool Duet washing machine. It lasted around eight years. In the meantime I was replacing the rubber door seal cleaning out the pump constantly. The plastic pieces inside the drum all broke. Every few months I would get an error code. And During spin cycle it would literally shake my entire house. The problem with all the front loaders is the construction of the drum and the drum bracket. They are made of dissimilar materials. (Stainless and zinc) When you add soap to the water then the bracket becomes an anode and the drum becomes a cathode, which creates electrolysis which corrodes the bracket. When the bracket breaks your machine is totaled. I’m finished with every manufacture except Speed Queen. I bought a Top loader Speed Queen and I love it, it is built like a tank.

It took 5 deliveries to get a fridge that wasnt damaged. First two came from Leons - the same damage on both. Then they said we had to go through Whirlpool because so much time had lapsed. We had purchased the full set of Whirlpool Gold for our kitchen renovation; therefore, we were unable to unpack the fridge until the cabinets were completed. I phoned Whirlpool Canada, and they said they had to send a service tech. The service tech came, and he confirmed the damage and was told to patch it with a proxy. Sorry but I had just paid $1500 for a new fridge. I didnt want a dent and damage. We received no offer for discount to accept the damaged fridge. They sent another one, still damaged. They used their truck to deliver and the guy had no idea how smashed our brand-new trim.So Whirlpool sent another fridge, and even though I asked them to check it before sending, they didnt. It was damaged. This is four fridges. Im tired of fighting with Whirlpool. I called Leons, and they take care to get me a new fridge undamaged. I told Whirlpool about the damage, and they sent a form. First, they wanted me to claim on my house insurance. Why should I put on a claim? If not, get two quotes and fill out tons of paperwork. Im just too tired after fighting for over two months to get a fridge that isnt damaged. Not even an offer of compensation to cover all the time taken off work and the stress on me and my family. This is the second set of Whirlpool Gold we have purchased in the last 4 years. I doubt I will ever purchase again, because you are a company that doesnt treat your customers with respect or concern.

I purchased a Whirlpool electric stove WFE540HOES 3 weeks ago from Best Buy. 2 Main complaints: Extended cooking time when using the oven. Food that should bake in 14 minutes was taking 25. Food that should bake in 30 minutes was taking 50, etc. The big issue was that the exterior of the stove was getting extremely HOT when using the oven. The area behind the handle and the storage drawer were so hot I had to use a towel to open it w/o getting burned. Thought it was a faulty stove so I exchanged it for the same model. Just got the replacement and its worse than the 1st one! The heat permeates from the bottom of the door and heats up the storage drawer below. The area behind the handle and the enamel edge of the stove get so hot. Its definitely a safety hazard if not fire hazard. Anyone else experience this??? Its going back!

Purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer 5 years ago because our other washer died after coming home from vacation. Its just 2 people in this household so I dont do mountains of laundry. The other machine lasted 15 years so go figure. We purchased the Cabrio from Lowes. Got the extended warranty but as it goes the machine fails when all warranties expires. Over the last couple of weeks this machine started to not complete a wash cycle. All lights go off except for spin light and machine stops. Even asked the person in charge of washers and dryers at Lowes about this who then told me to get an extension cord and plug it into a different outlet. Seriously! I have had to unplug the machine after it fails to complete cycle, wait 5 minutes or so, plug it back in, select rinse and spin, it fails again 13 minutes left in cycle, unplug again, plug it back in, select drain and spin, wait for it to MAYBE complete that cycle. Do not purchase this type of machine. Just for a technician to come look at it is $100 or more and to replace whatever circuit board is probably another $300 or more. Screw that! Going to find a good old fashion one if possible. Piece of junk. Not going to spend $700 or $1000 just to wash clothes for 2 people.

I love my washer and dryer but am a little disappointed in a few areas. First, my washer stopped spinning normally after a few years, I forget exactly why. Then my clothes were too wet when it was done. My dryer then did not get my clothes dry in one cycle. Also, it was going to cost $500 to fix my washer which wasnt worth it. But Whirlpool did send us a new tub and all the parts for free. Thankfully my husband is handy and after finding a YouTube video, replaced it all and now it works again. My dryer still doesnt always dry everything all the way. I often have to do 2-3 cycles in the dryer to get my clothes dry. I thought there was supposed to be a sensor that would keep the dryer going until there was no more moisture. Maybe that is broken too.

Most dissatisfying experience with Whirlpool. In 2013 I bought a stackable Whirlpool washer and dryer. Everything worked well for two months, and then the washer started having problems. The washer memory board unit (MBU) needed to be replaced. This was done under warranty. One and half years later I started getting the error F07 which means an electrical problem. I called Whirlpool and they told me a technician would cost $85 for a service call. I delayed the call until today. The technician came, did a diagnostic and then advised me that I would need a new MBU. The cost plus labour amounts to almost the cost of a brand new washer. To add insult to injury, Whirlpool advised the service call would cost $89. (They upped the price since my last call.) You can imagine my shock when the technician told me that the $89 covers the first 15 minutes. I paid $133.34 for one half hour diagnostic testing and to be told I need a new MBU which is on back order for at least 6 months!!! My recommendation is - NEVER BUY any Whirlpool product ever.

First, we had to have the cold cut tray replaced, which was covered in our warranty and not a problem. Then, we complained because you can only put things on the front half of the shelves or they freeze solid. We were told, This is the way they are made, dont put things in the back.” So, I have to put my eggs in sideways so the back ones dont freeze and cant use the back portion of the refrigerator shelves. WORST EXPERIENCE USING WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR. I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator in July 2013 (Model - Whirlpool Ref New 495 CLUB IMPERIA). Suddenly it stopped working on May 12 and I registered a compliant to the customer care. Engineer came in same and I was surprised by the service, he checked and said he rectified the problem and he left. But the problem was still there and it was never rectified. I launched the complaint again on May 13 and engineer came again and said there is gas problem in Compressor and he left by saying that another engineer will come to refill the gas in compressor. Next day new engineer came in he checked everything and said this compressor is not working and needs to be replaced. I said go ahead and replace it, he said it will take 1-2 days. I said “ok lets do it.” But now theyre saying that they do not have the compressor in stock and they will change the appliance. Again as I do not have another option I said “ok lets do it.”Now the drama start: they are saying I need to pay 20% as a depreciation of the total cost of the refrigerator + INR 1000/- (Cartage) + difference of the new refrigerator which comes to around INR 21,000/-. Well can someone tell me why I need to pay this huge amount when my appliance is still in 10 years of warranty and its just compressor problem and rest of the product is just fine. After fighting with them come to a conclusion that I need pay INR 10,200/- and I will get the new appliance. Now when I already paid the DEMAND DRAFT (DD) of this amount now no one is responding to me on when I will be getting a delivery of the new Refrigerator. Only God knows when I will be getting this. In this HOT summer we are facing a lot of issues just because of their bad service. No one from Customer Care is giving me any response nor are they taking my calls now.Now can someone tell me what I should do? I am left with no option and thinking of taking a legal action against them and thinking of launching a complaint in Consumer Court against them. Please give me your suggestions and send me your response at **. If anyone from WHIRLPOOL is look into this, please help on this matter urgently and respond me back ASAP.

My Whirlpool washing machine has not worked properly from the first day. Whirlpool washing machine customer care is pathetic. I bought a Whirlpool semi-automatic washing machine, Sparkle. This product is in warranty period. From the first day, this product did not give right result. Machine sound is very high and I called customer care center may times (around 9-10 times). They sent this machine three times in service center but the results remained the same. The problem arose when we put some load in it. He said the gear box should be changed and the machine should be cleansed off the dirt. He offered some powder costing Rs. 1500/- to be used in washing machine.Later, he asked Rs. 350/- for other parts after two months then I paid them again after 15 days for a piece that did not work. Then, they want to charge me Rs. 350/- again. When I showed the previous slip, they then changed that part without any cost. But after 15 days, again same problem occurred. They charged me 150/- Rs. but the problem is the same. Total money I spent is Rs. 1500/-+350/-+150/-. I also purchased a stand and cover for safety, but what will happen if product is not good? The technicians visited many times and they all said this piece is not okay but they cant do anything. The company should change this product. The machine is still rotting at my home. Im not sure if it could be accepted to be exchanged for a new one. Customer care gave us the satisfaction code but technician did not ask for this code. Im really very sad that I have called around 10 complaints within two years. Why are you people not listening? You all are doing time pass. You can check my complaint codes in your records and ask your technicians about Noida. Many times, I did not note the complaints number. Please open my file and check the issue. I told the technician many times that I want to talk to your seniors and want to tell them the problem because from the first day, it was the same, but they refused. I have also purchased a 320 LT fridge from you but that product is very nice. You should listen to our problems. This was not expected of such a branded company. I promised myself that I will never in my life purchase a Whirlpool product and advise the same to others.

Amongst all other items listed in these reviews (especially the tangling and twisting of clothes literally into knots), my guess is that is one way to ensure they are drier when they come out, wring them into knots... So now the pizza is slinging grease/oil all over the floor and water is leaking out from the bottom as well to make a perfect conglomeration of ** all over my tile. There is always more than one way to take care of the employees, hire sales people full of **, and technicians who know what the hell to do to fix it, with previous full of ** sales experience so consumers can buy more Whirlpool parts...

I dont know the model you have but this exactly what I just had happen in May. Its what they call the jazz board that is behind the light area inside the front of the refrigerator, where the light bulb goes. This is a circuit board and it seems when connection arent happening properly the fridge wont go into defrost mode and the water freezes over the evaporator not allowing any cold air to the top but working cooling freezer and making lots of frost too. I paid $400 to Sears service repair. The jazz board itself, I kept the old one and you can buy it online for about $100 and a child can do the labor that I paid hundreds for because, like you, I didnt know what the problem was. It takes less than 1 min to do this. I was furious! I hope this helps you and I too will never buy a Whirlpool. I found this site looking for why the refrigerator is making very loud noises, very loud banging, clicking, humming. Its ridiculous!

Purchased Feb 2013 - worked okay until one month ago. Now stalls in the drain and spin cycle. The rotation of the drum sounds awful, makes a loud grinding noise. I tried doing the diagnostic reset of holding the Temp button in for 3 sec, release, 3 sec more but that didnt work. Also, I have noticed clothes are DRY after the Wash cycle! Managed to interrupt the wash and unlock the lid and was very disappointed. This is not a good quality piece of equipment. This seems to be a very common problem. How unfortunate.

My Whirlpool washer would start up but would not add any water. It sat there doing absolutely nothing. Then it showed a code on the screen. It said to disconnect the power for 1 minute and plug it back in, which I did. I repeated that process several times. Still nothing. It also said to call Whirlpool, which I did. They wanted the Model # WFW97HEXLO and Serial #, I gave it to the gal on the phone at Whirlpool. I was told it would be a week before they could get someone out there to take a look at it. Really!! I work 80 hours a week and live in the country. I dont have a week. When I asked where the service man was coming from, he was coming from another town. I asked if there was someone closer. She gave me another appliance stores phone number. They showed up 2 business days later, looked at my washer, verified the code along with the Model and Serial #s, telling me it was the control panel. I gave that information to them on a Friday, they showed up on a Tuesday. They knew what that code was and what it meant for that make and model washer, but there just had to be a service call in there. The part was ordered on that Tuesday... here it is the following Saturday and the part still isnt here. I do not understand what takes Whirlpool so long to ship the part. Do they not care that in this hustle bustle life we live in, we dont have time to wait for a part that may or may not show up. Ship it overnight. That is an option. Making the parts accessible to the service people in a timely manner would make great customer-service. Better yet, how about going back to the old-style washers. This high-efficiency non-sense is highly expensive.

Stainless steel rusted in under six months - Purchased all new Whirlpool kitchen appliances in March 2013. In July 2013 finish on both refrigerator doors and freezer door was covered with tiny rust spots. The finish was obviously defective. Contacted Whirlpool, sent photos and was told the damage was cosmetic and not covered by warranty since it didnt happen within 90 days of purchase. Ice make did not work right from day one. Finally paid to replace it myself and repairman said Whirlpool discontinued the style of ice maker I had because they had so many complaints.

Whirlpool oven WOD93ECOA501 - This oven will most likely lock up if you use the clean cycle. I wish there was a class action suit in California. This happened first time I used the oven. Very expensive to fix, and though it was 9 months after a kitchen remodel, it was not under warranty because we bought it early and it sat in garage, and Whirlpool could only use purchase date. This is not new technology. Upper and lower oven both locked. Wish I had bought a Blue Star oven, as my Blue Star cook top is fantastic and a pleasure to use. HAS ANYONE GONE TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT?

Whirlpool Cabrio washer - I had all the same problems as all the 900 others on this site. After 7 months, it died. The factory repairman told me it needed a new transmission and motor. I returned it to Costco for a full refund and did a lot of research and bought a Speed Queen. It has no computer. It’s just an old-school washer that cleans, and best of all, it’s made in the USA with a 10-year warranty.

Our daughter has a Whirlpool Duet front loader washer & dryer combination which is less than 3 years old. The washer shows fault code 71 and will not run or release the door lock. The first repairman said the interface board and/or a computer will need to be replaced. Cost is $600 to $1,000. I called Whirlpool. They recommended their trained tech be called out. He looked at the broken machine and determined the interface board was bad, and he put a temporary repair on the washer and said Its okay to use for now. He will return in 2 weeks with the replacement part. We tried the machine with a load of clothes. The machine filled up with water then quit, and the door was locked. We called to get a tech to open the door so we could retrieve our clothes. No one is available for 1 1/2 week. I called Whirlpool and was told a claim form would be mailed to me so we could be compensated for the damaged clothes. The letter arrived. I was appalled when I read it. First, it came from their Legal dept. The intent was to scare us into getting a lawyer or just use our homeowners insurance for the damaged clothes claim. I called Whirlpool back several times and was told too bad, so sad. Whirlpool might make a good machine; they cant prove it by me but their support rates a big zero.

Purchased Whirlpool Cabrio model WTW6400SW washer and dryer 1/7/2007. The matching dryer was dead on arrival and the second dryer motor died within a year. Washer: 1year 2 month the washer motor died. Whirlpool paid for the part and I paid the labor. The following year, the bearing went out and the outer tub was replaced (the bearing is inside the plastic outer tub - bad design. Whirlpool paid for the part and I paid the labor. Feb. 2011 had one of the F errors. Whirlpool repair tech came out as the tub would not drain and it was a wire that had come loose underneath washer - another service call charge. Dec. 20, 2011, I had an error F50. The Whirlpool repair tech came out, verified no clothes or money stuck in the machine. All clear. He called higher level whirlpool tech and they paid parts and labor to replace the main control board and the RPS Sensor. Im single and am not abusing this machine. Like everyone else who posted. I paid close to $1,000 for this washer (not including the dryer) and I have been a faithful Whirlpool customer for 3 generations, but if Whirlpool doesnt offer some kind of compensation/trade in credit to customers who purchased this (knowing that the design is bad/faulty) washer and discontinue this model. This will be my last Whirlpool. I will have lost all faith in Whirlpool. The Whirlpool service tech that I found is op notch. I will miss him if I have to switch brands. Im putting 1 star as I know this machine will not be operational for 9 years which is the minimum that I would expect. If it makes it to 6 years without another service call, it will be a miracle.

I told the tech support agent that the pilot light was on so we agreed that it was the thermostat valve AGAIN. He wanted $30 for overnight delivery and I refused to pay. Now I have to go out and buy this part because Whirlpool like the Banks is too big to fail and they have license to RIP-OFF the consumer without penalties. Whirlpool has all of information and they can verify everything I wrote here just by the serial number.

Within 10 days of installing our new Electric range the cooktop does not look new and although we have used the prescribed cleaning methods, will not remove some cooked on spills over one burner and another burner has white rings around the glass above the dual zone cooking element. While we did not choose the top-of-line model; had expected much greater durability and appearance for our new range. My call into Whirlpool service made me feel like mine was an extremely isolated case and yet nothing would be covered as would be classified as customer fault. Highly disappointing as the cooktop on the range that we replaced seemed so much more durable.

Worst Air conditioner brand I have ever come across. My personal experience
Worst Air conditioner brand I have ever come across. My personal experience with Whirlpool Air Conditioner is not encouraging. I have used almost all brands of AC but found that the quality of Whirlpool AC is not worth recommending. Please stay away from Whirlpool. I got one Whirlpool 1.5 Ton Split Air Conditioner (Model 3D Cool Xtreme, 6th Sense Climate Control) at my house about 2 years back. I booked a service request with the Whirlpool’s Authorized Service Centre M/s Western Refrigeration Co., NOIDA as the Air-conditioner was not cooling to the desired level. On the first visit on 20-05-2019, the service engineer advised that the AC was not cooling because the gas had drained and the gas is required to be filled for which there will be a charges of Rs 2500/-. Believing him, I agreed for refilling of the gas at his quoted price. He sent next day some other attendant team for filling the gas. Those attendants revealed that in addition to the gas, two valves are also required to be replaced at an additional cost of Rs 1600/-. Though I had a doubt about the correctness of their diagnosis, there being no option, we paid for valves also. Accordingly, a total of Rs 4100/- was paid by us.However, to our utter surprise, the AC stopped cooling within a couple of days. Hence, the service centre was again informed. The complaint was again attended second time on 04-06-2019 and we were told that they have again refilled the Gas.However, again the result was NIL. The AC was not giving cooling effect. Hence, third time again complain was booked. The first attendant once again advised for only gas filling after thorough examination. He sent an another guy on 20-06-2019 for gas filling who then revealed that the cooling effect is not there because the condenser coil is leaking and the same will have to be replaced at an additional cost of Rs 5500/-.The following important points emerges out of the above:- 1) If there was a condenser coil leaking problem, why it was not disclosed to us when the AC was attended earlier by various Service Teams consisting of various attendants in the process from the same service centre? 2) Whether my all money paid earlier for gas filling and changing of two new valves will go waste due to wrong diagnosis by your technicians?3) Keeping in view the earlier wrong diagnosis, I very much doubt the present diagnosis and feel that this is a ploy to extract more money from gullible customer who lacks technical knowledge. We spoke to the service centre officials up to three four levels on the numbers received from the call centre but after listening the matter they assure to call us back. After no call back from their side, when we try to call them, they do not lift our calls. The above facts clearly bring out the cheating, harassment and looting by the Service Centre under the aegis of the so called prestigious company M/s Whirlpool. The hard earned reputation and trust of the Whirlpool is being impaired by these unscrupulous service centre. No punitive action appears to have been taken by Whirlpool office against the unscrupulous service centre for unfair trade practices. Rather the person from Whirlpool office over call was also trying to coax us to pay some more money to the unscrupulous service centre who has already cheated us and extracted money earlier from us with zero results. My Air Conditioner is totally shut off due to mishandling and misdiagnosis by the service centre. We are acutely suffering due to scorching heat and over and above going through the mental harassment for the last two months. We expected an immediate resolution for the above problem on top priority basis without any further additional cost however despite my number of reminder through their toll free number, mail id etc. the problem still remains unresolved and unattended. It is highly disappointing that despite my writing repeated mails with reminders no senior person from Whirlpool has so far taken cognizance of the grievance and the customer has been left in the lurch to be harassed by the highly inefficient, incompetent and indecisive service centre officials who have miserably failed to address the issue and satisfy the customer.

I will keep this brief because many of our issues on our 18-month-old washer are in other reviews. The anger I feel towards Whirlpool Customer Service and the logic they use in providing repairs on a “goodwill” basis are unbelievable. After a Whirlpool certified appliance repair person diagnosed our fairly new washer as requiring the entire guts to be replaced... transmission, bucket, etc., we were told the repair bill would be over $1,300! Are you kidding me... the washer only cost in the mid $500 range, and now Whirlpool is going to do us a big favor and cover that outrageous bill! I told the customer service supervisor to please give us a new washer and take away our broken washer and use it for parts (if there any good parts left in this miserable machine). His reply “thats not going to happen”. He used this phrase to us at least 20 times during our service call until I finally told him I thought his attitude was aggressive and demeaning. I refuse to be bullied by a major manufacturer for a substandard product.I can only warn you when considering Whirlpool (and every major appliance in our two homes are Whirlpool) that you should use due diligence in your selection. We paid extra to upgrade all our Whirlpool appliances in our homes and I will never make that mistake again. And don’t get me started on the white film that covers my dark clothes. They say I use too much detergent... not true. I am not stupid and understand the HE requirement to cut way back on soap.

Near 3 years ago we purchased this side by side going by how good Whirlpool products are supposed to be. Recently the bottom freezer started frosting up and not clearing. Tried all suggestions in the manual. Could not find any information online. The manual was useless. I went online to Whirlpool support 3 different times asking for help. Never got a reply. The racket it made was driving us crazy. It short cycled since it was frosting up. Set up an appointment online. They got that correct and responded quickly. Go figure. The tech came was very nice & professional. No warranty. Find out they only provide a one year warranty. That is absolutely nuts. A refrigerator should last 15 years with no major problems. Should not have needed a $500.00 extended warranty for a $1,300.00 refrigerator. Turned out 2 components needed replacing. Cost just over $400.00. Now were worried it is going to fail again in who knows how long. Whirlpool used to be a respected brand. Never again will we buy a Whirlpool product. 1 year warranty show you they know how cheap they are building their products.

Whirlpool Platinum Cabrio Washer wtw8240 - Ive owned this washer for two years. Worst two years of my life. Its leaked since day one. They have attempted to repair the leaking on 5 different repair visits (told me the nozzle that puts the water in the tub doesnt stop in time and it overflows on my floor). Finally it seemed to be somewhat fixed and then it started to sound like a freight train coming through my house. They determined the bearings were worn on my tub and had to replace the whole tub unit. Seven visits. I got one month out of it and it’s leaking again. I am now out of the extended warranty I purchased. This is ridiculous. Isnt there a lemon law on appliances? I know if a dealer attempts 4 or more repairs on your car for the same problem unsuccessfully, it qualifies for the lemon law. $800 for a washing machine that dumps water all over my floor and no one can seem to fix it. Well Im done, Whirlpool. Next time I will purchase a plain washer with no bells or whistles and it wont be made by Whirlpool!

Last year I purchased a Whirlpool washer at the suggestion of a friend who works at Lowes. It was dented and reduced, but my 20 year old Maytag, although still chugging away, was due for replacement. Am I sorry I did! My husband has recently broken his hip and we were caught in Hurricane Matthew just 1 day after I brought him home. We were forced to evacuate. Upon returning with a mountain of laundry, I found my washer lock light blinking although the washer had not been running when we lost power. I tried opening it but could not. I unplugged and reconnected power to no avail. I called customer service only to find we had to wait 2 weeks for a Whirlpool repair person. He arrived yesterday (Oct 26, 2016) and charged $95.00 to tell me this was an almost universal problem with Whirlpools and the company was aware of it. He called this morning to tell me the required part would cost $495.00! The entire washer cost approx. $500. He stated that he thought Whirlpool should have covered the cost as it was not far out of warranty and a known defect, but he could not get Whirlpool to assist financially. I tried calling myself for an explanation of the fact that they knew these machines had a defective part and yet they sold them. I got a song and dance from the rep. Although my husband was unable to help and I am a 65 year old woman, I went out and bought the cheapest machine I could and manhandled it home and connected it. It is afternoon and I am on my 4th load of well overdue laundry, no thanks to Whirlpool. I intend to make this story public through every internet forum I can find. I have a large extended family and friends and I will make sure they do not purchase Whirlpool appliances if they are looking for a good product and good customer service. I will also be sure to never buy a Whirlpool appliance again.

First time owner of a Whirlpool range and will be the last time. Nothing but junk! I liked how the top grates were and electronic ignition. The knobs turn too easy and often when bumped will turn gas on without igniting. Very dangerous. The oven grates guides rusted almost immediately making it difficult to pull racks out. The oven light works sometimes. The glass on the oven door at the bottom came unglued. The bottom door under oven is a total waste. No use for it. We bought a Whirlpool with convection oven, it is beautiful and very well designed and fully electronic. You can only control it via touchscreen Which, when the software runs into blocks, it is impossible to troubleshoot efficiently, you just have to wait until it completes its rebooting. It is very frustrating to spend hundreds of euros in a device you just cant control when it crashes. Horrible programming made for a horrible user experience. You have the feeling of not being able to use it or fix, it is like having a mobile phone or computer Which only works on what appears to be a random logic. The errors displayed on the screen are often vague and the user troubleshooting manual is just plain short. We will return it without doubt and dont recommended ever buying this device.

They advised me that the main bearing was bad. It would cost more to repair than what it was worth. I contacted Whirlpool. They could not do anything unless the machine was inspected by one of their authorized service companies, which they scheduled. I was under the impression Whirlpool washers were good. Mine always goes off balance and quits. I carefully redistribute the load several times to get it to finish (start over). Sometimes it works fine from the get-go, but not often enough. It is now 2 years old and if I were wealthy, Id shove it to the curb. There is little to like with an appliance that often must be adjusted and re-started. I will try Samsung next. It seems that American brands are not reliable. I have no special needs and will consider reliability above all. The name Whirlpool would be a deal breaker for me. I cannot abide my Whirlpool washing machine as it is more of an aggravation than something useful. Stay away from Whirlpool washing machines. Shelves can be seen inside the fridge with doors closed. Exposed wires on the side of the door in a port with no cover. The fridge is unusable. Cold air flows out between the doors, temperature will not go lower than 45º. Moisture build up on the top and dripping down through the fridge. Frost build up on the back. Refrigerator runs continually. Had to shut it down. Called Whirlpool Sept 2. They will not replace the defective product. I must wait for a repair. The promise was within 24 hours for a technician to call. Called them Sept 2. Local family operated appliance repair company did not receive the request until Sept 4. They do not have the part nor does the parts supply company they deal with. Its on back order. Whirlpool has the part but long weekend and it will not be here until Sept 8 at the earliest. Whirlpool has advised Lowes that the issue is dealt with. I will see the technician on Sunday (Sept 6). Small family Business does not operate on Sunday or holiday, Monday, and have advised Whirlpool of this multiple times. Whirlpool doesnt care. I paid $2700 and do not have a working refrigerator. I will never purchase another Whirlpool Appliance.

I bought my fridge in late 2008 and I am already experiencing potentially expensive repairs due to what I believe is a defective design system, of which, consumers are having to bare the consequences for those who collected our hard-earned cash and delivered a lousy product! I saw so many similar complaints about the ice system on this fridge that I am almost positive that it qualifies for a class action suit and settlement. How about a collaborative approach to this since we have all suffered needlessly? Tell me what you think and if you are in on it.
