My 2-year-old Whirlpool Gold Series model replaces a 20-year-old Roper. So far it has exceeded expectations for low noise and useful features like validated Sani-Rinse. Has all the normal features plus Eco-Dry, Sani-Rinse, delayed start, five levels/cycles of cleaning, and hi-Temp wash. Fits where the old Roper used to be and handles a full load of dishes with room to spare except Thanksgiving, which takes two loads. Smooth black front with touch buttons and blue lights. Looks nice. Using Sani-Rinse seems to take a long time, generally around 3-hours for a full wash cycle. Besides being ultra-quiet, the unit is very energy efficient earning good Energy Efficiency and water efficiency ratings.

1st item - ice pooling at bottom of freezer, now repaired at a cost of $100. 2nd item - 1 day later fridge/freezer keeps shutting off and on irregularly. Cant contact anyone one from Whirlpool on a weekend and Trail Appliances doesnt have anyone available to come and look at it and if they did it would cost us another $100+ with no guarantee and we were told by Trail the Whirlpool will not touch it if someone else does. From what I have read seems we now a victim of Whirlpool. P.s. for those who dont know yet Whirlpool not only now owns Bastemp, they also are the makers of Kenmore and those fridges have experience the same ice issues.

If you want clean clothes dont buy this machine(Cabrio Washer)! First of all I find that my clothes have dry spot on them when I pull them out of the machine. Whirlpools response is that the machine spins at such a high rate that the cloth will actually seem dry. Doesnt make sense to me that a shirt that has another garment on top of it gets dry in an unexposed area. I have also been told to always use the high water setting. This helps but the clothes still are not clean. Also my dark slacks come out with residue lines on them - Whirlpools solution; never wash anything in cold water. In addition the machine is very noisy. It sounds like the water pipes are being kicked out of the wall. And forget about washing a king size comforter as advertised, a twin comforter doesnt get clean or even thoroughly wet and residue lines are left behind. Hate this machine! So glad I didnt buy the extended warranty since my attempts to have them stand behind this product have failed. I feel the money would be better used towards a different brand.

I count myself as lucky... my Whirlpool 465 Accubake Ceramic Cooktop stove was given to me. I have used it for 3 years. One day, out of the blue, the oven, which was in use, started clanging loud and jumping up and down. I started screaming & tried to cut it off & it would not go off. I ran to the panel box & threw the breaker. It also burned my food that was cooking. It did it several times. Then I decided to not cut the light on or touch the button to raise the temp. It has not done it since. I bake everything on 350 degrees and immediately throw the breaker. I am scared of this stove and plan to replace it. I will NOT buy a Whirlpool, anything. (washer/dryer/fridge/aircon)....once bitten...

Bought this fridge at Best Buy because it was beautiful and thought it would go perfect in my new home. We allowed the fridge to regulate for 72 hours (even though it only needs 24) and it didnt cool properly or make ice. 3 calls later to the 800 number (along with three scheduled repair visits) and Im getting the run-around. 1st excuse was that I needed to order parts. 2nd excuse was that it was a bad sensor due to the manufacturer. The 3rd excuse was that the fridge door wasnt aligned properly, thus not sealing properly and not allowing the fridge to regulate, which causes it to freeze over. My ice maker also hasnt worked once in this entire ordeal. The issue still isnt resolved and I am vowing to never spend thousands of dollars on this brand again. Spare yourself the headache and go with a less glitzy, more trusted brand.

My top loading Whirlpool washer model WTW57ESVW1 failed after just over two
My top loading Whirlpool washer model WTW57ESVW1 failed after just over two years. When I called my service man, he turned it on and immediately told me it was not worth fixing as the transmission was bad and this model was known for this issue. I contacted Whirlpool Corp. and the person on the phone stated she could do nothing for me. I asked for a supervisor and was told she would give me a discount on parts, but I had to find out just what part it would be before she would tell me what percentage of a discount she could give me and the service call was my responsibility. Due to this treatment, I will not buy another Whirlpool nor will I recommend it to any of my friends. I will also post on Facebook my experience with Whirlpool.

I have just had one of the worst experiences with any appliance warranty repair service of my life. I rarely complain but strongly feel the company needs to make some changes. They have no repair folks less than 50 miles away from the dealer (and my home). Their refrigerator was sold to me with the understanding that such a service was available as part of the purchase price. Ha! The repairman referred wiggled out of the time assigned to him. Another repair referral will take weeks. The unit is a piece of junk and is malfunctioning in less than a year. When, and if, any repair person comes to my home they will find it in the garage with the rest of my junk.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator almost 10 days ago. They delivered a broken refrigerator and then the technician raised a replacement request. And then started the game of ignorance. Since 10 days I am calling hundreds of Whirlpool persons including Area manager, ware house, customer service, nobody is giving any date when I will be getting it. Moreover, they have stopped taking my call recently. Right now, I am at a loss how can I get a refrigerator or my money back... Last option is consumer forum. I really request you to never buy a Whirlpool refrigerator.

I have been married for 43 years and started my marriage with a Kenmore Washer and Dryer. That was because my mother, aunt, and grandmother all had Kenmore Washers and Dryers. Kenmore was made by Whirlpool. In 43 years I have gone through two sets of Kenmore Washers and Dryers, and one set of Whirlpool Washer and Dryer. I have always been very pleased with your product and have never considered buying anything else. However, last year we bought a new Whirlpool washer and dryer. I have no complaints about the dryer, but this washer is a piece of **! It is a cabrio top-loading high efficiency low-water washer. What idiot came up with this idea? Tonight I am once again having to divide my washer load and run them for at least a second time. This is not cost effective!!! This sprinkling with water and sucking it out doesnt work. Not to mention that since we have gotten these wonderful energy saving appliances our electric bill has increased instead of decreasing. You need to make a washing machine with a wash tub and agitator like you use too.

This $1,000+ Whirlpool Cabrio washer high-efficiency machine should have lasted between 10-15 years, not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5! To expect less is to fall for the consumer cave in - where you just give up, give in and buy another. The Whirlpool tech just told the appliance repair guy that was here that the repair would involve a recirculating water pump and a bearing, and would cost $481 to repair. The appliance repairman said he is not in business to condemn appliances, but said he has a Kenmore top loader at his house. Simple, no electronics and less things to go wrong. Well after researching brands and reading reports, I thought I was buying a machine that would last at least as long as my second hand Maytag. Whirlpool has not heard the end of me. I have heard several other people say the same thing. Repair bills are huge and machines do not hold up. So much for buying quality. Now Im going to contact the MA attorney general for the states implied warranty, which means if you spend your money on any appliance, that appliance has an expected lifetime of service. A $1,000+ machine is not expected to fall apart after a few years.

I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine from PC Richards in Lake Grove 15 months ago. I paid $590.00. I had to call PC Richards back because it sounded like the machine was not spinning right. The servicemen came back and said nothing was wrong. It was supposed to sound like that. Now the machine stopped draining and spinning. I went to the store and they handed me customer service numbers and said they could not help me. I contacted Whirlpool online and received a phone call from a woman that gave me a lesson on how to load the machine and put soap in it! She was a very polite woman, but, gee, that didn’t solve my problem. After 4 days I was able to get through by phone and was told to call service. I contacted Mahler Appliance. He looked at it and said he couldn’t fix it and took a check for $81.47. He told me to call Whirlpool. I called Whirlpool again and got their service people. The gentleman came and could not figure out what was wrong. He tried a few things and said it was probably the main board. He said to call Whirlpool, but they most likely won’t give me back my money. He could charge me $460.00 for a new board per his supervisor. I just paid $590.00 for the machine and another $87.00 to some guy who took advantage. He left with an $87.00 check and I still have a broken washer. He did tighten up a loose wire he said he found and told me to try it and good luck. So I tried it. I put clothes in and turned it on.I came back about 20 minutes later to see if it continued to run and I slipped and fell on the ceramic floor because water drained out from somewhere and went all over my floor. I have injured my back and elbow from hitting the hard floor. I also have water all over the place and finally a very broken defective washer. I am angry. I hurt myself and have spent close to $1000.00 and I still have no working washer and no way to buy another one. The washer is 15 months old. That’s brand new to me. There was obviously a problem from the beginning. Whirlpool has always had a quality name for years. I would hope that they would stand by their product and fix my washer for me. It is obviously defective.

I stumbled across this page on another mission and had to stop to add my exp. Perhaps I got lucky and got a good set but Im on my 3rd year and my washer and dryer are my friends. I dont have hot water connected to my washer and my husband is a shingle roofer so I often have to wash his clothes twice but my dogs beds come out beautiful and the sanitizer on the dryer removes odors very well. My water bill went down, I can wash my rugs and large comforters at home now. Plus they are so pretty. Im sorry you are all having so much trouble but I love mine sooo much I just had to stop a moment to throw in a little positive.

My dog is afraid to be anywhere near my Whirlpool side by side fridge. It makes horrible noises every 15 minutes to half an hour. I have to coax her to even let me escort her past. It has been snap crackling pop for several weeks and is getting louder with thumps and clangs. It does sound like the devil inside. Appears to be coming from the freezer side.I do not have the ice maker hooked up . It is plumbed for an ice maker but the servicemen who delivered it advised me they didnt do that . I didnt have the money to hire a plumber. The fridge was a PG& Energy Partners project in which those of certain age and income levels were presented new energy savers in exchange for old ones.Wish Id have kept the old one, especially after reading comments here. A senior, I live by myself in a fairly isolated area. I wonder now if the noise means a fire or electrical problem is imminent. My model number: ED2KVE*V*O, ED2FHE*V*O*

I purchased at Lowes and they say was without warranty. I have had all kinds of trouble. The pilot light was replaced in the burner easily because of recall. Now the pilot will not stay lighted unless you tap on the gas valve. Then as soon as the water temperature comes up, the burner and the pilot light go out. I went to Lowes for a new gas valve. They have one for natural gas of $58. They do not stock for propane. I have to purchase from Whirlpool which costs $228. Their comment is that it is more expensive to build another. They do not change offices any longer because of PSi difference bull crap. I purchased a Whirlpool gas stove 2 to 3 years ago and I had to purchase an LP change over kit to use it. This is nothing but a case price extortion. I will never purchase another Whirlpool product again and I would advise no one else either!

I bought a Whirlpool/Fridge Freezer Model WRF560SMYM 01, less that two years ago. Two months ago it started making a terrible noise. Apparently the freezer was iced up and a mechanic defrosted it. It happened twice more and he left saying he could not fix it. Another arrived and took the model number and he disappeared. A third the same. Now I have an empty freezer, just an ice maker. It seems to not freeze up so quickly with the moisture control on. Over $2,000 down the drain unless somebody can fix it. Oh and the fridge gets very cold! Does anyone have any ideas apart from throwing it out and buying another? Never another Whirlpool!

I have called Whirlpool multiple times because our washing machine model #WFW9290FW has been out of service for 5 weeks now. I have been informed that I need part #W10604640, which is on back-order and they wont give me any idea of how long it is going to take to get this part replaced. Apparently, there are 96 total people who also need this part. I find it hard to believe that a company this big would not have this part on hand and they would not have any idea how long it would take to get it replaced. I asked them to give me a new washing machine for free to replace it because of the poor service and the unreliable washing machine. They told me they could give me another washing machine at 40% off, but based on the lack of follow-up and the amount of time that has passed since my initial call, I dont want another Whirlpool product. This is the worst customer service ever.

I purchased the Whirlpool Duet June 2011. Within two weeks, it was tearing my clothes. It didnt matter how little of a load it was, they still ripped. Five months later, my machine was leaking water. The repair man came out. I told him it was also tearing my clothes. His only response was dont load it to full. Well, I called the store where I purchased it and they are sending a repair man out again. I told them to either fix this from ripping my clothes or I was going to take a hammer to the machine and never buy a Whirlpool again or give them a good reference. I also called Whirlpool directly and told them of my problem and they acted like they had never heard of this happening before. I told them to search the internet because everyone is having the same complaint! I had a Fridgidaire front loader for 9 years and never had a problem with it eating my clothes.

The same parts keep being replaced but they are all defective. This last time the service tech said he contacted Whirlpool and they had a redesigned part that should take care of it. This washer is going back. It simply will not spin the water out of the clothes. It says it gets clothes drier than a conventional washer, but I have not found that to be true. I have to use the drain/spin cycle over and over and still the clothes are wet. I had the repair crew out and they were able to get it to spin out a very small load consisting of two sheets and two towels. Other than that, it does not spin out water. It is also very difficult to load if you attempt to leave the center open as they recommend. The cycles are very long. Not being able to look inside without pausing it and waiting for it to unlock is also a huge hassle. I am getting one with a glass top so I can see what is going on. If you leave it open for too long, it cancels the cycle and drains all the water, and you have to start over which is another problem because all your detergent just got drained out before the load gets going. It uses so little water on most of the cycles that the clothes get totally tangled up with one another. I think you should be able to choose the water level manually. I am all for saving water but if I want more water from time to time, this does not allow you to do that. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

We purchased the Cabrio washer and dryer set 2 years ago (7/22/15) from Lowes and have HATED them since day one. The first wash in the washing machine left clothes dirtier than when they went in. Our clothes have never gotten truly clean. The washer has a HUGE tub which is what I liked about it so I can wash my King sized comforters. What a joke that turned out to be. The comforters only get half wet even on the deep water setting. The machine even left dark stains on my light colored comforter and ruined it. Fast forward to 2 years later and the washing machine stops spinning and fills with water clear up to the top of the tub and wont drain. I had to put the machine on the rinse and spin option to get it to drain. Tried a different setting and it worked for a few months but started doing the same thing. The washer seems to be unbalanced no matter what size load I do. I am thoroughly disgusted with this machine and wish I would have never purchased from Whirlpool. The dryer has always worked fine until recently (2 years after purchase). It quit drying the clothes and leaves everything twisted up and wrinkled, even if I take them out of the washer and shake them out before I put them in the dryer. Doesnt matter what setting I put it on, the result is the same. So now it seems as though BOTH of my machines only lasted 2 years. Im not going to bother fixing them, these will be used as target practice. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again.

I’m very disappointed in this product for as much I have spent on it. My old school top loader lasted longer than this piece of junk! I went from an HE front loader to an HE top loader (Whirlpool Cabrio WTW7000DW0) due to the risk of mildew with the front loader. Im not the only one doing laundry and if someone else does it, it always seems that they shut the door when empty, contributing to moisture and mold that needed to be cleaned out of the gaskets. I am so unhappy with my top loader HE washer. When I stop the machine and look, I always see my laundry half covered with dingy water, sometimes part of it still dry at the top and it is disgusting. I frequently have to rewash loads due to detergent getting trapped in folds or pockets created that hold on to dirt and lint, even being careful with the detergent amount. I run the washer now every time with settings of deep water, extra rinse, heavy load and presoak with instructions, with settings taped to the top for others. At almost 1 1/2 hours each load, we just cant keep up. The laundry still forms pockets and sheets form a giant tent over the entire load that has to be unraveled at the end of the cycle and wound so tight it had no chance of rinsing. I had to get a repair person out because it got out of balance and he had a small hand-held computer to enter a code to rebalance it. When we discussed the issues I was having, he was ready for everything I was doing wrong. He told me I can not wash blankets or large items (I thought I was buying large capacity with such an enormous drum). He told me they have caught people adding water with a bucket during cycles and that the washer software can tell them if people are trying to work around the system which voids the warranty.Apparently, this is a common complaint he blames on the government wanting high efficiency so they make the numbers look good, sacrificing the ability of the washer to perform at what a consumer expects. I have never seen the water in my drum higher than a couple inches and the drum is HUGE, but never used to capacity. He told me his wife demanded they get a commercial washer because she was so angry about how poorly it cleaned. I feel so scammed and I wish I could have my old agitator back. $100 for the repair call, $150 for the code to be put in and Im on warning that they will see if I try to add water, run out of balance or dont comply with any reason they can void the warranty by just checking the data the washer is collecting on us.

We bought a travel trailer and it has a refrigerator with an ice maker in it and weve only used for 6 months out of the last year. The fridge is already broken (doesnt cool). They promised they would fix it even though we were out of warranty (by 7 days). That was 2 weeks ago. Theyve had one person come out and look at it, that couldnt fix it and now theyre claiming that they never told me that they would fix it and they will only cover up to $100 for someone to come fix it but I have to find the person because they couldnt find anybody. I asked them that if this was a fridge in the house how would they go about fixing it and they said it was the same process. How do you expect somebody to go out without a fridge for two-plus weeks? So many people told us not to buy the Camper because it had a Whirlpool in it but we didnt listen and we are regretting that now. The worst part is that after 48 hours we were promised they would replace the fridge if they couldnt get anybody to come out and fix it because they already okayed for the warranty to be used. But now the lady didnt put it in the notes which her name is Terry. We cant get a new one and we are waiting for a supervisor to call us back which probably wont even happen!!!

We purchased a new Whirlpool Refrigerator less than 3 years ago. The last couple of weeks the freezer hasnt been keeping cold enough. We lost about $300 worth of food in it. The refrigerator section isnt keeping as cold as it should. I call Whirlpool, but didnt have a warranty, so if I paid more money we could have a warranty and get it fixed. Who has that kind of money. When we purchased our appliances we thought we were buying good quality appliances. That sure isnt the case. They should last way longer than less than 3 years.I called where we purchased it from. Had the service man come out. There are four major parts that are wrong with it. $800 plus at least 3 hours of labor. Not worth that. Again who can afford such money as this. I called Whirlpool again. They could give me money off a new fridge but it would still cost almost $1600. Im so unhappy with the appliances. We also have a stove and that doesnt work right either. I believe that we should be compensated way more than they are offering. I would not buy another Whirlpool again. I will make sure people know that it isnt good quality. Im so sad. Who would have thought. It is time that the people at the top of the company think of those lower than they are. The people I spoke to on phone were very kind. I know they really cant do much. They are just the middle man so to speak.

Today I had the unfortunate experience to have to deal with Whirlpool customer service and claims. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT again! My refrigerator, that was purchased in 2013, has a door misalignment problem. It is a known problem with Whirlpool (service pointer W107317828). My refrigerator serial number and model number are affected. Because I am outside the one year warranty, Whirlpool refuses to provide service that is required to fix this known issue with my model/serial number. After having to talk to four supervisors the only resolution that was given was that they would cover the cost of the 7/16 hex nut ($4.33). Dont get me wrong I do appreciate the offer. The two supervisors that were below her assured me that no one can do anything to assist me further. The attitude of the second and third supervisor was pathetic. After over a hour on the phone I was so disappointed that I could not take it further. The cost that we are talking about that I am asking them to pay is $154.28. I am very disappointed. They say they stand by their product. To me standing by your product means that you will fix or replace any known issue. $154.28. I hope it is worth it to you Whirlpool. You lost a long time customer.

We bought a Whirlpool with convection oven, it is beautiful and very well designed and fully electronic. You can only control it via touchscreen Which, when the software runs into blocks, it is impossible to troubleshoot efficiently, you just have to wait until it completes its rebooting. It is very frustrating to spend hundreds of euros in a device you just cant control when it crashes. Horrible programming made for a horrible user experience. You have the feeling of not being able to use it or fix, it is like having a mobile phone or computer Which only works on what appears to be a random logic. The errors displayed on the screen are often vague and the user troubleshooting manual is just plain short. We will return it without doubt and dont recommended ever buying this device.

My wife and I purchased a Cabrio washing machine and dryer, this is by far the worst washing machine we’ve ever owned. It hardly fills, even in deep water cycle. If you watch the clothes through the smoked glass lid with a flashlight, you can see they don’t even go underwater. The dryer seems to be fine but I would never recommend the washing machine to anybody looking to buy one.

Less than 1 year ago, I bought a washer and dryer. From the beginning, we have had a water problem and the water only comes cold... no warm water in the normal cycle. They came 6 times to service the machine and they cannot fix it. They said there is nothing is wrong with the machine but it does not wash with warm water in the normal wash cycle. I advise not to buy this product anymore. It is under a warranty so they should fix it or replace it. I am sick and tired of talking to them. They said if we send the service guy then I have to pay for it which is not acceptable because it is under a warranty. If anyone is thinking about buying this product, I advise not to get it and waste money on it.

Whirlpool 27 cu.ft french door bottom mount WrF989SDAH White - We took delivery of this ice making fridge mid-September from Sears Canada. 3 weeks later we have ice at the ceiling/wall seam at the back inside the fridge. Water collects along the rubber seal of the freezer drawer which we have to mop up. We said we were not going to use the water/ice maker and its not even hooked up. Water comes down through the water dispenser onto the panel which we also mop up. Moisture in fridge. Temp settings are as factory specified. Whirlpool authorized tech guy gave us the inside info. Hes seen so many design problems with this model and what Whirlpool do is order the tech guys to say to customers we can order the parts and fix it. Whirlpool keep discovering and modifying the problems but you are not allowed a refund off the bat because the tech guys authorized & sent out by Whirlpool are not allowed to give a report to the retailer or say its design defective. So the customer has shelled out money and has to have band-aids left, right and center. Went to Sears to ask for a refund. They refused because tech guy wont give a report to them (but what do we really know eh? Because the tech guy stood in my kitchen and gave a verbal report to Sears but nothing written). So Im in the hole for a crap product that is only a few weeks old and Whirlpool and Sears have got us over a barrel. The tech guy said he was going to challenge their tech line now because hes upset at how many of these band-aid fridges hes seeing now. I want a different brand and model and cant have it because Sears dont have it. In dire straits now.

My $700 Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine just broke after only 16 months of having it. The error code that comes up is f 51. With some research, I found that these machines are notorious for breaking down just after warranty with an f 1 code for older machines and an f 51 code for newer machines. Whirlpool is well aware of the breakdowns and the defect inherent in these machines and still sells them with no warning or no recall to fix the problem. I contacted the company and they refused to fix it for free and I understand the fix will now cost me another $300 to $400! What a scam! I will never buy Whirlpool or any of their other products again!

We have been married 36 years. Since year one, me and my wife have owned nothing but Whirlpool appliances. They lasted forever. Approximately 4 years ago, we redid our home, and bought all new appliances, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, front loader, washer, and dryer, Since then, 4 years ago, our refrigerator ice maker stopped working. 2 years ago, our dishwasher wont heat up, so it is useless to us, and the bearings in the washer are shot. I must say we are so disappointed in Whirlpool. We are barely living on my husbands income as I had to stop working 3 years ago, as I became disabled, but did not make enough money to be able to collect disability. We cannot afford new appliances, nor to fix them. I am sending you the model numbers of each appliance, hoping you will do something to help. This is just ridiculous. It is just my husband and me in the house (washer: WFW9200SQ02; refrigerator: GD5NVAXSA01; dishwasher: no model number, but it is Energy Star II 8575637). Please help. We cannot afford to replace this, nor repair. It is hard for me to go to the laundromat, then come home to dry. Standing long periods to to dishes, takes a toll on me. Please help.

They had no gearbox in stock for model f45, top loading, fully automatic. After a wait, they took away the machine to their workshop on 30.09.2011 and returned it on 04.10.2011.They charged me Rs. 4,730. I will have to be replaced. I found that its LID, which was perfectly okay, is now making a terrible sound when opened and would fall down, not allowing to load the machine. I informed the service center immediately. After many reminders, a man turned up yesterday and declared that the LID will have to be replaced and I will have to pay Rs. 2,000 for that. I rang up the service center to say, Since it has been damaged in your workshop, you should replace it free of cost to me. Their reply was evasive and negative. I called your call center and they registered my complaint - customer number **, comp. number **. I was assured that the LID will be replaced within 24 hours.

My mother purchased a Whirlpool gas stove. When the stove arrived the door didnt shut properly. We were told to contact Whirlpool. They sent a repair person out who said that you have to use the stove a few times first and then the door would close. Meanwhile, I had a 2-inch gap and gas and heat escaping. I called and requested another company to come out and check it. No one called back. I called again and they sent out the same repair guy. Apparently hes the only one in the whole Charlotte metro area that can service Whirlpool. Again he said I had to use it more. I called again and requested a different repair person to come out. They promised to send out a lead. When the company called to confirm the appointment they said no one told them that. They finally sent out a different person. That person said absolutely the door was dented. He offered to replace the door. He then came back and said the door comes in too many pieces and he didnt want to put it together so I should contact the store I bought it from and see if they would replace it. Whirlpool refused to repair it. I was able to get the store to replace it after explaining to them the problems with the warranty service. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they lied and said they tried to contact me which never happened. When I called the executive office I was told that I was the problem and that it was resolved so leave them alone. I regret my purchase of my appliances and now have no one to stand by the warranty.

Just like many other reviews about this brand - our microwave went bad after only 14 months of using it. Initially the door sensor would register - it wont operate even if the door is closed. Or it will keep going even if the door is open. I contacted BBB and the Whirlpool corporation regarding this safety issue. I pointed out that the safety mechanism is faulty and they should recall all of those models that have similar issue with door sensor. This is extremely dangerous for households with kids. There is a reason why this safety mechanism is mandatory in all microwaves! Whirlpool pointed out to me that I should not try to operate microwave with open door and refused to take any responsibility. Ive owned probably 10 different microwaves over the years and NEVER had micro go bad after only one year, yet alone have completely faulty safety mechanism. Consumer beware!

Cabrio washing machine - I have had the exact same problems as all of the above... lid locks occasionally ... after many frustrating tries. I am ready to pick up this stupid washing machine and pitch it in the junk pile! Soap on clothes so I have to redo ... except many times it takes forever to get the stupid machine to restart... Most times I end up rinsing things by hand in the sink. We are constantly itchy from soap residue. My clothes do not come out clean. Especially the towels. Clothes are not spun out as much as they should be... Have been doing it over again by hand many times... which is not good because They still have way too much water in them and it takes 2 -3 Times longer to dry them! I am so disappointed in this set. I always thought Whirlpool was a great brand but, sadly, I was terribly mistaken. Never again. Finally got someone to say they have to replace all the controls. They say they will send parts but I have to pay someone to change it out... sounds like they admit there is a problem but will not accept full responsibility for it. I did not make the item so why do I have to pay to have it fixed? I believe they should issue a recall and make all of us believers in them again. I guess its my fault for buying their product? So... doesnt clean, spin, rinse, lock and has a bad odor... not a great product, is it?

I had started the dishwasher and had gone to bed last night. I came downstairs ten minutes later to get a bottle of water. There was smoke throughout my downstairs levels. Our Whirlpool Gold Dishwashers control had dark, noxious smoke emitting from it. I tried to turn it off but it was too hot to touch. I went to the breaker box and shut it off there, turned on fans, and went back to bed. This morning, it turned the electricity back on. It started smoking again. I tried to cancel the cycle but it wouldnt cancel. I opened the door to stop the cycle and it continued spraying water and still wouldnt shut down. I had to shut it off at the breaker again. Next problem is my refrigerator, washer and dryer are all on the same breaker. UGH! This is the second Whirlpool I have had. The first one had a rusted tub that leaked into our basement. The repair guy said he had never seen that before...sure...why would you put something in a dishwasher that would rust out on you? Whirlpool, NEVER AGAIN. I bought a Whirlpool washing machine from Home Depot 4 years ago. It immediately started to grow mold in the seal even though I wiped it clean after usage. I called Whirlpool and told them that the machine was defective otherwise, why would it do that? My technician has worked on hundreds of machines and this is the first time this has happened. The two managers I talked to refused to help me because I didnt have an extended warranty. It is true that I dont have an extended warranty but also, I had faith that Whirlpool had sold me a good product. There is no other explanation for the washing machine to do that other than it was defective. I asked the managers to send me replacement parts, but they refused to do that. On December 21, it became clear that I needed to replace our 13-year old Rheem water heater. We decided to buy one from Lowes, 36 miles away and have a handy man install it. He installed the new Whirlpool 50 gal gas water heater with a 12-year warranty on Friday, the 22nd, but could not get it to stay lit. He called Whirlpool to troubleshoot. They said it could be one of two parts and that they would ship the parts on the Monday after Christmas. He asked who would install and they recommended a local plumber. He called that plumber but they indicated they did not do Whirlpool warranty work and would have to charge. On Monday, I called Whirlpool and was assured the parts would be shipped that day for overnight delivery. I confronted them about the local plumber not doing their warranty work so they set up an appointment with a company called A&E for Wednesday morning. On Tuesday morning, I called Whirlpool to get the tracking number on the parts and was told that they did not get shipped on Monday as promised but would be shipped that day, arriving by the end of the day Wednesday, too late for the appointment for installation.By Tuesday night, my wife got on this site and was appalled to read the numerous identical complaints. I decided that Wednesday morning that I would hire a plumber to remove the Whirlpool and install another so we would not have a lifetime of problems from Whirlpool. The plumber installed a different water heater. It started right up and we have had no problems since. I got an R or RA number from Whirlpool which I think they only gave me because the parts had not arrived on time and I returned the piece of ** to Lowes for a refund. This seems to be a very common complaint with Whirlpool French door especially after reading other reviews. Bought a WRF560SMY in 2/2014, from Lowes who installed it and promised good service for that first year. Whatever went wrong, they would take care of it, replace if needed, pay for lost food, etc. So far, so good. Now in 7/2015, warranty is up of course!!! And we are selling our home, so thought I would get an extended warranty as another selling point that would transfer to new owners. Well, of course, right after I purchased the warranty, the day after actually, the freezer started buzzing. Took a look and the whole back wall of freezer was covered in frosty ice. So defrosted it, seemed to run okay... For a few hours, same problem. It sounds like the compressor fan is scraping on ice, and it runs continuously. Defrosted again, same problem. So now it is time to break down and get on the phone, which I hated to do since I went through this with Samsung in late 2013, took me 3 months to resolve. Anyway, called Whirlpool Michigan office, which I recommend. They claimed they would cover repairs, and to call their warranty repair dept. to schedule service. THEY told me I was out of luck, as my just purchased warranty would not be good for 60 days. Back to Michigan, they told me it WOULD be covered, and to try again. No go, and this time someone with a middle eastern accent told me not only would it not be covered, but even after the 60 days, it still would not be covered as it was a, GET THIS!!! pre-existing condition! Excuse me, this is not a brain tumor, and Obama did away with that anyway. So tried to call Lowes, who sympathized, but could not help since the warranty I purchased was from Whirlpool, but they would repair if I paid. And be aware that most chain stores require you purchase an extended warranty within 30 days of installation, so out of luck there, but they were nice about it, told me go back to Whirlpool. So another call to Michigan, and FINALLY got a gal at their call center in Tennessee, who resolved my problem in about three minutes. All in all, 12 phone calls. This is a manufacturer issue. she said, not a repair problem. which is what the others were apparently not educated about. It appears, although she did not say so in so many words, that this is a very, very common problem, and Whirlpool will indeed cover condenser or defrost heater assemblies for 3-5 years depending on the model. So she is supposedly calling a local repair and someone will be out in a day or two, but will call us first. No call yet, so still nail biting. I would recommend to all of you with this or other issues to read the manufacturer warranty very, very carefully. There are some things in there that go beyond the standard year, and I KNEW I had read that this problem was covered beyond the one year, and indeed, it is. And also to call, call. Call their Customer Experience Center in Michigan (1-800-253-1301) and if your freezer is icing up, you will most likely get them to fix, depending on the age of your unit. If you dont get satisfaction with the first person, keep calling back again and again, and get the NAME of the person you have spoken with and tell them to document your call. This saved me, as every call I made came up on their screen so they knew I was getting frustrated. But, she assured me, this particular problem is ABSOLUTELY COVERED BY WHIRLPOOL, so obviously it is a defect they know about. Why they dont fix it at factory, dont know but will continue to look for that answer. They got especially cooperative when I told them I was purchasing a home that would need all new appliances in the near future, which is true. Use the Michigan number and keep calling and calling until you get satisfaction. This is a covered repair beyond the one year. By the way, I do not have my ice cube maker hooked up and never did, but still had this issue. With this being said, I am very unhappy that yet another refrigerator failed on me. The Samsung after only 3 months, and the Whirlpool after only 17 months. But I will follow up on this report when and if these repairs are made in a day or two ;-] we shall see, and let you all know. The repair service is Whirlpool certified, so will grill the guy they send and see how many of these he has to fix, and whether it really is fixed So stay tuned. Just dont take your time and get frustrated talking with people who turn you down right off. Be persistent, and plan on about a dozen calls and two hours of your time. Remember to take notes of times, names, what was said, etc. This is the only thing that saved me with Samsung by the way. After 3 months they told me they HAD NO REPAIR PEOPLE in my area, and sent me a check for the purchase price to buy whatever replacement I wanted, but they also made me jump through many hoops, send pictures, docs, all kinds of stuff. Think I can almost speak a mid-eastern language now as well. Not so with Whirlpool though. It seems most if not all of their call centers are in the USA. Good luck to all of you. On my way to defrost again so we can get some sleep tonight without the chainsaw noise, and will update as soon as something occurs here. Hope I helped a little. As a PS, the last gal I spoke with was so very nice and knowledgeable. I told her she should not be taking calls, but promoted to training the call takers, and did take the time to call her supervisors and leave a message at how very good she was, which we should all do if we ever get a nice, educated person on the other end.Updated on 07/29/2015: I promised an update, so here it is. After thoroughly explaining my issue, they promised and delivered a repair person who arrived within the time they gave. He was very nice, but even tho they knew what my problem was, the guy did not have the parts onboard. He said it may take a week or two. So I am defrosting my freezer about every 48 hours to keep it from totally destroying itself. To the guy who exchanged his Whirlpool for a Samsung, I wish you a whole lot of luck if something goes wrong, and it will for sure. You wont get anyone who speaks English, but if you have a Lowes warranty, you may fare better. I can give you details on what will go wrong and how they deal with it if you want. I would advise you to have the Lowes warranty, and not a Samsung warranty, and make sure you get one within 30 days, or you are out of luck with Lowes. Good luck to you. Will update more on my Whirlpool, will say the repairman was very, very nice and gave me his card to call if I had more problems I could not solve myself until the part comes in. By the way, I do not use the icemaker and never did connect it, nor with the Samsung. I pity anyone who has to deal with Samsung directly and strongly advise you to get the warranty thru the store.

Purchase whirlpool washer model W2W4800xQ2 in Sept. 2012. Had problem with lid lock after warranty. Now lid lock does not work, takes 1/2 hour to start wash and does no spin. Called whirlpool and they will do nothing. Repair will be $200. I opt to just purchase new machine. This machine is one piece of garbage.

I bought a Whirlpool refrigerator because it was the lowest priced model that offered a bottom freezer compartment and fit into our available space in the kitchen. We also want a white coloured appliance. One thing we never noticed until set up at home was that there were no ice making trays nor an ice bin. We have had the fridge for five years with no problems. It is quite noisy when running.

I’ve had this washer since October 2018. Worst purchase ever. It does not clean the clothes nor does it put enough water in it. I’ve tried the deep water option too and it’s for sure still not enough. I don’t understand how they even thought that this was perfectly fine to sell. If I could’ve taken it back a month after having it, I for sure would. And no one will buy it because they’ve read reviews of how it’s terrible. I wasted $900 on this washer. I have the dryer also which works amazing. The washer just sucks something terrible. My husbands military uniforms always look dirty and a lot of the clothes aren’t ever wet. I’ve finally seen a picture of how you’re supposed to have clothes in there. Why in the world would you only allow barely a layer of clothes at the very bottom to be cleaned by the agitator? Why would you have this huge drum only to put not even a load in there? This was such a waste Whirlpool and I’m glad I’m not the only person who has the same issue. I will never purchase another Whirlpool washer, it’s upsetting I can’t currently get rid of this crap washer I have now.

We’ve had problems with our fridge where after we had it for about 2 months a crack formed on the inside, the repairman came and put a piece of tape, tape on a new fridge I wasn’t happy. Then we had our stove for about a month and the front right element went it was replaced but to this day it works when it wants to and I brought this to the repairmans attention when he came to replace an element in the oven and he didn’t even offer to take a look at it. We called Whirlpool on the 27th of December to get service on the oven and was told nobody could get here until the 2nd of January. This ruined New Years Eve Plans, New Years Day Plans and our turkey which should have taken a max 5 hours on Christmas Day took 11 hours putting our dinner off until 8:00 pm. We purchased the extended warranty ($700.00) to protect us from high bills for repair and this oven issue ended up costing us about $800.00 for meals out. I asked at the time of my call if there was some kind of rebate to cover our meals and the inconvenience over the holidays and they told me no, that’s pretty bad for such a huge company. Our dishwasher which is also Whirlpool hasn’t worked since day one, we had a repairman out and all he said was, run your hot water before you use it and use Cascade, it’s no longer under warranty and there’s pieces falling off and I have to wash my dishes before I put them through the dishwasher so what’s the use of having one. We purchased all Whirlpool because of the reputation but well never buy Whirlpool again or recommend them.

I purchased it new in July 2008 for $550, a single homeowner average 4-5 loads a week. First time it broke down, it was just inside the one-year limited warranty. It broke down again Sept. 2011, the basket separated from spinning mechanism. I learned that after $75+ missing day of work, repair tech quoted cost of repair $885 and a minimum of 10 days waiting for part to arrive.I called Whirlpool, the guy on the phone was nice but told me I was out of luck. Even if I had purchased the 3-year warranty, I would still be out of luck. The washer was manufactured in April 2008. What a piece of junk. Save your money and skip it. I wish I had. Aside: Whirlpool, whatever happened to standing behind your products? I used to think you were a quality brand. Im extremely disappointed and wont be purchasing any of your products in the future.

After happily using Maytag washers at my old address for 30 some years, I moved to my current address and in 2006 I purchased a new Maytag. In 2010 I needed service. I was advised it had a bad bearing and was not advised to repair as it would cost well over $600.00. I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio top loading HE appliance. The Cabrio worked well until one day it made a horrible noise. Although it still worked, I called for service and was told it had a bad bearing and would cost $670.00 to fix and they advised against it. After the service call, it never worked again. I know things dont last like they used to but 4 years is ridiculous. I have been advised that Whirlpool bought Maytag. Is this what to expect from so called reputable companies?

Purchased WRF989SDAM00 French Door refrigerator in 2013, and 33 months later it is not cooling (fridge 45/freezer 36 degrees). Service call diagnosis is a leak in the sealed component area. Since it out of the 1 year warranty period, nothing is covered. This is the first of Whirlpools dual evaporator models, and is technically challenging according to the service technician. Most likely one or both evaporators are defective, and this type of failure comes with a recommendation to change out the compressor as well as it is moisture compromised. As my previous Kitchen Aids had 10 year sealed component warranties, and the Whirlpool is the same base mechanism as the Kitchen Aid, I contacted Whirlpool to see if they would extend my warranty coverage to these sealed components. Website submission - never got an answer. Called the customer service line - they politely told me they were sorry but there is nothing they can offer me. Even the extended service plan would not cover me as this refrigerator has a preexisting problem and it must be 100% operational to begin an extended service contract.Im extremely disappointed in this fridge only lasting 33 months, in comparison to my previous Whirlpool/Kitchen Aid refrigerators. Of course the internet just allows me to see that Im not alone is purchasing a short lived appliance. So here is my contribution to the internet of things: Do not purchase Whirlpool refrigerators expecting them to last much beyond the warranty period. Buyer beware.

Whirlpool’s WFG505M0BS is a reliable gas range. It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles (no self-cleaning mode or convection oven), but it’s also not priced as such. If you’re looking for an appliance that’s sleek, smartly designed, and quick to heat up, it won’t disappoint.

I purchased it in 2011 for $1100 Canadian. Smooth glass top and true convection. The controls were easy to use, and understand. What bothered me was that it stopped working just after the warranty ran out. I did my research, and found that the newer ranges that have the controls on top at the back have issues with the motherboard overheating, and causing this problem. I did speak to Whirlpool customer service, and managed to convince them to supply the replacement part at no cost. I paid my local dealer to install it. This repair lasted for just over 1 year. Same problem again. This time I could not convince Whirlpool to supply the part. FYI The part in question is the controller. Essentially a motherboard. All the controls are operated through this small computer. It is the only replacement part that costs over $100. Last I checked it was around $450 Canadian. The reason for the fault is overheating. According to the tech that fixed it the first time, it is the most common problem with this style of range. I find this concerning considering the only thing a range does is create heat!Keep in mind that you are virtually held over a barrel. There are only two companies that market their products under multiple names adding up to over 80% of the appliances on the market. They battle for that market by offering more bells and whistles, and less quality. The Range I replaced four years ago was 20 years old. I just replaced my Whirlpool 3 months ago. I went outside of the 80%, and bought a Samsung. Im rolling the dice, and went with induction top. My theory is it will produce less heat because it just heats the pot, not the stove top.Low quality drives me nuts. I want fewer bells and whistles, and more long lasting reliability. I should be able to go my lifetime and only buy two or three ranges. We really like the induction top. It works fast, and doesnt produce too much excess heat. Dual zone oven is a good idea. We werent looking for it, but there was a deal on. The dual zone induction range was only $50 more than the regular one beside it. Now my wife uses it all the time. She will have cookies in one zone, and a casserole for supper in the other. True convection is the other must have. It does a great job cooking everything evenly.

WP told us that because it was a new model, they didnt have the parts. We asked them to replace the unit. WP called us and said they would replace the unit and it would arrive in late January. NO CALL. Called 2/22 and said, no similar units available. Ask them to upgrade me if there were units available. Said they would and the inventory of the upgraded unit was promising. Would get a call from delivery company for a 3/6 delivery and install. 3/2: Called because hadnt heard from anyone and called WP. Today Katrina ID # ** tells me they are making the new upgraded unit with an anticipated delivery of MID MARCH. I just about flipped my lid. I asked for a supervisor of which she said she was a SR support specialist. I asked that this be escalated and I get a call regarding status. She advised that she would inquire and call me back. Likely shouldnt hold my breath or try to call back because you are on hold for up to 1-2 hours. Just to clarify, have never had an issue with Whirlpool. I am a disabled senior citizen, I guarantee you I couldnt lift it long enough to drop it. Habitat said they didnt drop it and so did Lowes. Meanwhile, Whirlpool had the nerve to send me an extended warranty for the same refrigerator that they wouldnt honor the original warranty and they treated me like I was just trying to cheat them or something. We purchase a Whirlpool washer model # WTW5000DWI, SERIAL #C842 43102 ON 10/30/2019 and it has been nothing but a disappointment. We are senior citizens living on a very limit income with several health problems, and cannot go to a washeteria to wash our clothes. We had a washer that lasted over 19 years and when the motor failed I figured it was more practical to purchase a new washer versus repairing this old one. We had a very reputable Whirlpool dealer here and was very helpful and recommended this washer and the price was in our budget! Was that a big mistake, it does not clean the clothes, does not rinse the clothes with using the 2 rinse cycle and still, does not rinse a load of sheets. I bought a large capacity washer so we could wash 2 sheets at a time. Wrong! You cannot get more than a couple inch of water on the Deepwater cycle, so its like washing clothes on a riverbank on rocks, it rubs clothes together. On my wifes good clothes it will cause little balls of fabrics on them, clothes does not smell clean, and if its real dirty clothes, it will not clean or take the stains out. Its water efficient alright, it does not use any water! Its for sale, and I have talked to a lawyer. Whirlpool customer service was no help at all/All they want was to send a dealer to check it out, the only problem if there is nothing wrong with it that will cost me min. of $125.00. Warranty will cover a manufacturing defect, not a design problem which is what this is. I will just go to small claims courts and get my money back and be done with Whirlpool, hell they dont care! I would buy any washer that is cheaper and has an agitator, without a water efficient features and is top loaded model. It does not pay in this world where large manufacturing companies dont care.

What happened to the PRIDE in & RESPONSIBILITY of making a good product and standing by what youve made. As my hubby has said, if you have to buy an extended warranty, whats wrong with your product! I purchased my Whirlpool Duet washer about 14 months ago. After about 8 months, I noticed that it had started leaking. It was under warranty and the seal was replaced no problem. I then started to notice that my clothes were getting small tears in them. Around January (13 months after purchase), I got tired of finding new clothes and jackets with rips and tears in them. I finally found that the plastic piece around the entrance to the washer was rough and jagged. I called Whirlpool and they told me they could send out a service tech to file down the jagged edges. They told me this was a common problem caused by the zippers on jackets hitting the plastic and causing it to become rough. Because it was one month out of warranty, I would have to pay for the service call. The lady told me I could try filing it down myself. I feel like I should not have to file down anything 14 months after purchasing a new washer. I feel like I should not have to worry that my clothes are ruined every time I wash them. If this is a common problem as the lady told me, it appears to me to be a design flaw and should have a recall. I have lost several outfits and jackets due to this machine and I am very frustrated that Whirlpool would not stand behind their product.

After the first year, a residue began to build up behind the glass on the front of the oven door. Finally, about 18 months ago, I decided to try to unscrew the back of the door in order to clean this since it got increasingly worse year by year. When I unscrewed the door, the side metal bars broke off and the range is to say the least, looked very unappealing . When the oven self cleans it makes the outside of the oven brown and very unappealing. This is a Whirlpool Gold, Super Capacity 465 range. We have been dissatisfied from the beginning. 40-gal gas water heater - I own several rental properties and unfortunately put Whirlpool water heaters in them when the old ones go. It is because they are at Lowes and they are cheap. Today, another call came in from a tenant with no hot water. I called customer service and they determined I received the repair kit from an original design defect from back in the middle 2000s. Now 3 years later, it goes out again. Because I have already received the conversion kit taking thermal couple threading from LH to RH, I needed another part number to repair for a grand total of $160! The same part before the conversion kit was $60. I will never buy another Lowes/Whirlpool water heater for as long as I live. I bought a Whirlpool Cabrio Top Loader High-Efficiency Machine on March 20, 2013. 14 months later, it failed. When I called customer service I was informed the 1 year warranty had expired (I knew this already) and that all they could offer me was a $319 extended warranty to fix machine and guarantee covered future repairs. Luckily, I had the machine repaired at no cost to me after complaining to the sales people I bought the machine from the year earlier. They contacted their Whirlpool representative who had the repair covered. Now, 3 years and 11 days after purchasing it, it failed again. This time the machine would no longer spin out the water. Whirlpool offered nothing more than to give the website and special code for a discount on a new machine. After some haggling, they agreed to pay for 50% of the parts only, no labor. I argued this machine must be a lemon, as they have told me theyve heard no prior issues with this machine and that it would be reasonable to replace this machine. They refused any further assistance. So I threw this piece of junk away and instead, for $185, bought a simple rebuilt 15 year old Maytag washer with agitator, direct drive. Just a couple of knobs. No computer, fancy bells and whistles. I can say with absolute certainty that I will never purchase a Whirlpool product ever again. After about 9 months we noticed the food in the back of the refrigerator especially on the top shelf started freezing. This started getting worse over the next 2 months. When I called Whirlpool 10/19/2015, 800-253-1301, I was told by their representative that this was normal, that air from the freezer blows into the refrigerator through vents and to just re-arrange my food so that it is not pushed to the back of the refrigerator. I asked him if this was normal why wasnt this happening in the first few months but only developed later? He had no answer. I asked him if it made sense if this was normal then everyone who buys this refrigerator has to make sure their food is not pushed to the back of the unit, then why dont they state that in the directions for use??? Ok everyone make sure every day you push all your food to the front of the unit so it doesnt freeze ridiculous. He just said thats the best thing to do. I asked him if I could talk to a technician, if maybe there was a way to fix it manually and he said there were no technicians there. I asked him if he knew about the lemon law and he said they dont have that there... ok. The refrigerator is just days after the 1 year purchase so he basically said just to call where I purchased it that Whirlpool could do nothing for me. Is this how Whirlpool trains their employees??? Good job Whirlpool, way to go. Luckily I purchased the extended warranty. Will see how the repair goes and report back. Did not call sooner due to health issues. Its not like the refrigerator is years old and started to break down - this is within a year. Whirlpool doesnt care about quality. Will never buy Whirlpool again and will spread the word as often as I can.

The plastic frames for the glass shelves are cracking at the corners and the only option Whirlpool has given me is to replace the shelves at about $150 each. Needless to say, the cracks started just after the 1-year warranty expired. If only one shelf was cracking, it could be my fault; but since all are cracking (some on the front, some on the back and some in multiple places), I believe this is a design flaw and should be covered by the manufacturer. When I call, I can only get through to someone to schedule maintenance or order parts. What can I do?

Purchased my Whirlpool gas hot water heater. After 1 1/2 yrs, the blinking light shut off, called tech at Whirlpool, made me move hot water heater to outside. I moved it outside and when called back, I was then told to send 4 photos to prove that I moved it, in which I did that. He told me that still was not right... and still he would not help with reset. I live in my parents old home w/ water heater in bathroom for 50 yrs. No problem... it was vented thru ceiling to attic. Now it is outside, unlit, in a steel hub (as directed) and still not ok...I have no hot water and have not for 4 weeks now... Whirlpool sucks... never buy their hot water heaters. Had to pay a serviceman $750 to move heater, run cold/hot water lines and gas line and it still does not work... with NO HELP from Whirlpool. Now I am in process of buying an electric hot water heater and have to pay an electrician to run a 220... I am on fixed income and this stinks... biggest regret... WHIRLPOOL.

Whirlpool Washing Machine WTW4800XQ4 - This is an expensive piece of garbag
Whirlpool Washing Machine WTW4800XQ4 - This is an expensive piece of garbage. My clothes come out with lint still on them. They do not smell clean and in fact, I wonder if they even are. My blankets come out heavy and soaking wet, so much so that I have to repeat a rinse and drain cycle before I can place into the dryer. The machine is always off balance and its so loud that my almost deaf grandmother who cant hear a thing wants to know what that noise is when shes halfway across the house each time Im doing laundry. Ive called Whirlpool and they have sent a tech out who insisted it was I who did not know how to load a washer and that was causing all of the problems. I found this interesting since I am 37 and never encountered difficulty with a washing machine before. Our visit concluded when he insisted it was user error and went on his way. The next day, the washer was not even cycling, and I phoned whirlpool back. This time, there was a computer problem and there was no arguing about it. The technician came back out reset the internal computer. The machine seemed to run more quietly for about a week, but went right back to its old loud self. The only improvement Ive noted since then is it does not move across the floor now while washing. I wish I never bought this thing and would certainly never recommend it.

Model ED5PVEXWS14/Whirlpool Stainless Steel side-by-side refrigerator purchased from Lowes: My wife and I purchased this refrigerator from Lowes as a part of a kitchen renovation project. It was delivered by Lowes and worked great. The shelving cracked at the back as other owners experienced, but I blamed that on kids and was fine with ordering replacement parts online. Fast forward to the present and a year later, everything is working fine. Out of the blue it quit cooling or freezing on 6/12/13. I thought it was a capacitor problem, but since we purchased the refrigerator on 4/28/12, we decided to have a repairman come out and check. When he accessed it, he found that the compressor was bad. He stated every once in while you get a fridge with a bad compressor. He also said I just happened to have the particular refrigerator he sees frequently. I normally buy all Whirlpool products - microwaves, washer and dryer, dishwasher, my old refrigerator (still working at my relatives house), and my daughters college fridge. This is the first time I have experienced something of this nature with a Whirlpool product and hope I can work out a resolution with them or Lowes.

I am writing to you all today to urge you to not purchase Whirlpool product
I am writing to you all today to urge you to not purchase Whirlpool products specifically Whirlpool 2-cu ft High-Efficiency Front-Load Washer. I purchased a front loader washing machine for our tenants through Sears back in June of 2013. When it was hooked up it had an error code on it so we contacted Sears and 3 weeks later they sent out a repairman telling us it needed a new motor (this machine had not even washed 1 load of laundry). They ordered the part and Sears paid 1200 to replace a part on an 800.00 washer.....yeah I know dumb right. Well the part replacement did not work. (Surprised) They ordered and delivered a new washer 1 month later....same error code. Lets try again with another washer......same error code. How about another one......water would not stop running into the machine because the sensor was broken. Wait we are not done how about another one.....same error code. No I am not kidding, 10 months later 5 washing machines and my tenants have yet to have been able to wash a single load of laundry. I have been reimbursing my tenants every month for not having a washer for the past 10 months. I finally had Sears reimburse for the washer which they will pick up soon. I am out all the interest for the past 10 months for a product never used. To top it all off I called Whirlpool directly to see if they would be willing to at least give me a coupon for any amount toward the purchase of a different washer. They told me quote We dont do anything to compensate our customer for their troubles. That is the icing on the cake folks!!! I will never purchase another Whirlpool product and I encourage you all to not as well. I want to show them how not caring for their customers can impact them. Please share if you can, but more importantly please pass the word!!!!!

I had to re-arrange my kitchen and have my slider doors moved over a foot to accommodate this monstrosity. After about 2 years the icemaker and water dispenser died - had to shove a facecloth in it to keep it from making noise. The white color is very hard to keep clean. Overall, I would not recommend a Whirlpool brand refrigerator.

We have had them for about 3 weeks now and now the display on the microwave just stop working. I just cant believe this. Its going to be a real pain now to remove this and replace it. Has anybody else had this problem and I wonder if its even covered under its warranty.
