We purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer brand new from Lowes. It did great for about 6 months when a terrible grinding noise started. Then it also would not spin dry the clothes - they would come out completely soaked. Repair guy came out and fixed it. Lasted for about 1 year - same thing again. Lasted about 1.5 years this time and now the loud grinding is back and my wife - who Ive heard cuss just a couple times in 20+ years - said, This ** thing sucks. The clothes are soaked. I cant stand this washing machine. So, Off we go to buy a new machine. Definitely not a Whirlpool though. Id give this machine 1 star because it does a decent job for a while but major repairs 3 times in five years is not what I deem an acceptable appliance.

Within a few months after I purchased my gas hotwater heater, I started having problems with it not wanting to stay lit. It was purchased in 2004. I see that this is an ongoing thing with Whirlpool. Every time I would call them, they would give me stupid answers on what it could be. One lady got hateful with me. I have replaced every part several times and Im having problems. About every two to three months, Im replacing thermal couple. As of right now, Ive been without hot water for eight days. I called and he told me about a trip button that is in the little white thing that has wires going to the thermal couple. I push in on it and then tried to start my heater and it worked. They have never offered to replace it or even give me a discount on a new one. No one should be having so much trouble out of your hotwater tank. This is not normal. These are defective and should be recalled. This company is ripping the consumers off and we need to stick together on this and do something about it. Im afraid to buy another heater because I can see that the new ones are still junk. What do you do?

I bought a Whirpool side by side model GSF26C5EXW00 on 4/24 from Lowes in Buford, It was delivered the next day.We followed all the start up directions. You know what a mildewy moldy towel smells like...Well that is what the water and ice smells and taste like coming out of the dispenser. I have had the technician to my house 6 times. the tap water taste good, the water coming out of the line leading to the refrigerator is good. Gee is must be something in the refrigerator! How many times do they have to come out before they actually do something about it? Like replace it or give me my money back.

Purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer WTW5800BW0 September 2014. Two years and 8 months later it no longer works. Call Sears and Whirlpool and was basically told I should have purchased a warranty. Whirlpool tried to sell me an extended warranty for $495.00 which is about 80% of the original sale price of the washer. Was told it is my responsibility to care for the maintenance of my purchase. WOW. Way to stand by your product. So now its my fault they sell a product that does not last longer than 3 years. So we tried option 2 - called a repairman. His response save your money and buy a new washer. WOW. A repairman rather lose money than try and fix this washer. Save your money and pass on Whirlpool products.

The duet washer is just over one year old and started showing F25 code on screen. It had been making a really loud noise in the spin cycle. Last week, a really loud noise and then the loads wouldnt be spun. There was a puddle of water on the floor near the machine. We had a repairman out today and he stated that theyre repairing these machines all the time. He stated it was the bearing and that theyd been told that Whirlpool had installed bad bearing from a different supplier. I called the Whirlpool experience and after 4 minutes and 19 seconds, I actually spoke with a service rep. She said since my machine is less than one month over the one year warranty, Id have to call the extended warranty people. I asked for a supervisor and after 2 minutes and 38 seconds, she came in line and wouldnt budge from her story. They also stated that there are no service issues with this model washer. Extremely poor attitude and Whirlpool is doing everyone, whoever purchased a duet washer, a terrible job on these washers. At least, Ive now found out that there are a lot of other folks out there with the same problem. We need to get some attorneys to start a class action just like the mold/smell customers did already. Sad, sad day for Whirlpool as Id been a customer all my life.

When I grew up, my mom and dad had a Whirlpool dishwasher and it was the ONLY dishwasher we EVER had. The SAME one, for over 20 years! So, with confidence, I purchased a mid-range unit. (over $600 2015). By 2016, ONE year later, I was already buying replacement parts because the top rack was falling apart and the bottom spinner broke as well. The parts were extremely expensive and hard to find. Now, a mere 4 years later, you cannot find ANY parts for this machine and there are so many issues with the unit. It is no longer functioning. When it did work it ran for 4 HOURS!! Even then, the dishes are filthy. I am so upset by whirlpool. I want a full refund from the company for treating their loyal customer so badly.

I bought a Whirlpool model # WRF757SDEM. It has failed twice in 7 months. The tops temperature hovers at 54 degrees Fahrenheit. The freezer works fine. I had a whirlpool fridge for 10 years before I bought this one and never had trouble with it. My son bought a Mastermind 250-L refrigerator on 09.09.2009 (invoice no. **) from the Good Morning store in Alleppey (phone no. 0477-23253809). The cooling effect was lost with a loud sound. I requested customer care. Three times, four people came and they gave a receipt of RS 890. After they left, it is in the same condition. I requested so many times, but there’s no reaction. Before I could go for legal proceedings, I would like to make you aware of the conditions prevailing in Kerala in sales and services. The young trainees who dont know to repair have broken down the entire system and it is fully collapsed. The franchise office washed their hands. This will spoil the entire name and fame of the company. Kindly look in to the matter and do the needful immediately.

We have a Whirlpool French door refrigerator with freezer drawer in bottom that is 2 years old. It makes a loud buzzing noise and freezes up in back of the freezer, as in a defrost problem. We have had THREE repairmen here to fix the problem, and after $650 in parts and labor, the same problem exists. Finally we were told that this $170 beautiful Whirlpool refrigerator is deemed repairable and is junk. Whirlpool will not remedy the problem and three service techs cannot seem to repair it. I will NEVER purchase another Whirlpool product... EVER!

Bought a Whirlpool Gold model GI6SARXXF04 less than two years ago and have already had three problems. The first was a faulty main water inlet hose that dumped water all over the kitchen floor. It was still under warranty so I didnt have to pay for it. Now have two additional problems. About two months ago there was a puddle of water under the refrigerator every few days. I finally figured out it was ice build up in the bottom freezer chest that melted that caused the water leak. The second issue is that the ice maker just stopped working. It had been working great this whole time and then suddenly it just stopped making ice. I contacted Whirlpool and they will cover the repair for the defrost issue but not for the ice maker. Gee, thanks, way to backup your product. Im guessing the reason they dont backup the ice maker is that its probably the more expensive repair. Like many people here I also will never buy another Whirlpool product again, regardless of what it is. Theyve shown me that not only do they produce inferior products, they also arent interested in customer satisfaction.

Purchased from Home Depot and self-installed. That part was not too big a deal but after installing this stove we started a journey of irritation, aggravation and general dissatisfaction. This stove has the standard layout for burners that seem to be common to most low-end stoves. Two huge burners in the front, a simmer burner at the right rear and a general purpose burner at the left rear. Thats all wrong for me and our set up. I want a large burner at the left rear and general purpose every place else. Can you alter the standard configuration? NO! Not without some major alterations to the stove top.Next are the grills or cast cooktops (2 each). They are a bit cumbersome when cleaning the stove but doable. The real problem with the grills are Whirlpool decided to save money by skimping on this feature. The grills are not a stable cooking platform for smaller pans and it turns out Whirlpool recommends square pans for this stove. SAY WHAT? I have pans and skillets from my grandparents and they are ALL round. Thats how that stuff is made. ROUND! The grills design is unstable for any round pot, pan or skillet, if its diameter, is 6 or less. Kiss that excellent saucepan goodbye if you have this stove. My current solution is a piece of light expanded steel over the burner areas.Keeping in mind we use Propane as our heating gas. The adjustment of the flame temp on the four burners is non-existent. They all are either on high, medium or low. There seems to be no fine tuning with these burners. At the end of the day go look for something that is NOT a Whirlpool, LP gas range Model #: WFG515S0EW. You will be better served and less irritable with almost anything else. Even a campfire in the yard is a better choice.

If you come across any problem or issue with washing machine, the service person will come and will have a typical vouge glance of the washing machine.. and the inner bearing problem etc. He will arrange a call with his boss.. who also tells the same thing… and collects Rs 450/- as visiting charges and goes. They ask you to bring the Washing machine to their showroom... on account of repair they do all nonsense and do replace some parts which are not at all required...*** Instead of going to the show room first, if you take second opinion from any local repair technician... you will be shocked to know that hardly it is very minimum problem like loose connection, biting of wires by rats or other problem which would just resolved in front of us..But certainly not the Big issue as these show room service mafia does.. I have encountered the same brought the same to the notice of the Care Manager Mr.**.. But no proper answer... One should understand that there is big mafia kind of activity just betraying the customers.. Please beware of the frauds of the Whirlpool Washing machine Servicing Team..

I’ve been struggling with this new washer since I bought it a year ago. It’s sold as a water saver machine, but it continually leaves white residue and lint on my dark clothes that will only come off if rewashed with no soap and no other clothes. The technician who came out ran a cleaner through the machine and that was it. It’s recommended that the cleaner be used once a month, but it doesn’t seem to do any good. Per the appliance dealer I’ve reduced the amount of detergent I use to a tablespoon. I still get the residue. Definitely not a water saver and a crummy washing machine. Don’t buy Whirlpool!

Purchased new Whirlpool 2-door, side by side refrigerator from Standards store in December 2010 for close to TT$10,000. For 2-3 years, it made a very loud noise. Each time it cut off that disturbed my peace and quiet. I complained, to no avail. In early 2015 or thereabouts I began experiencing severe warming problems in the non-freezer compartment and, since that time, I have suffered large losses from spoilage. The warming coincides with over-freezing (icicles, thick frost formation and whirling, dense cold air) in the freezer compartment and icing up of the vents in the non-freezer section. Moreover, the cool air flows from the top vent only when the freezer door is left open. Since that time Ive only been able to marginally cool the non-freezer section by unplugging for up to an entire day, at least once per week. I believe this is a manufacturing flaw rendering the non-freezer section not fit for its purpose although it manifested itself sometime after purchase. My prior experience with another brand has been totally different (13 years and still working). It is totally frustrating. It is also unsafe since spoilage is sometimes difficult to detect. Here, we have to deal with the seller and that is often a hopeless situation, particularly outside of the warranty, as has been my experience with another household appliance. Ive been advised by independent technicians who reportedly have encountered this problem that the solution lies in boring a hole connecting the two compartments which then enables efficient cooling of the non-freezer compartment. Quite frankly, I would like to have the refrigerator replaced despite the fact that it is outside of the warranty.

Terrible wash machine. Some clothes come out having never even gotten wet. The spin cycle ties your clothes in knots so bad you have to machine dry them because the wrinkles are ridiculous. I’m all for saving water but if your clothes don’t get wet, how are they going to get clean? Also can’t do just a rinse and spin cycle. I would rate zero stars if I could. I purchased a side-by-side Whirlpool refrigerator less than three years ago, but about a year ago we discovered it was leaking from the freezer thats located on the bottom. Initially we thought that if we simply defrosted the sheet of ice that formed on the bottom of the freezer - it would stop the leaking. Its hard to keep up with - I checked into it on the Internet and discovered that there is a clogged drain hole that is causing the leaking.Apparently, a number of people are experiencing the same thing. I called Whirlpool (since our local repairman suggested we contact them because this is a chronic problem and is likely to happen again). The customer service person kept pushing me to buy the extended warranty with their repair that will cost nearly $400!!! Without it - it will cost nearly $200 that doesnt include any parts. Its a new refrigerator, very bad quality and theres damage to our kitchen floor, and then Whirlpool wants me to pay $400 to repair the mess they made! VERY UPSET...

I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio Washer in May of 2009. I do laundry for only 3 adults, so I never run more than 3-4 loads a week. It constantly is off-balance when spinning and requires positioning the load again several times before it will continue its cycle. Now 5 to 8 minutes into it filling with water, it stops filling and beeps, and code F shows up on the screen. Also, during the spin cycles, it is very loud and fast. It sounds like it is about to take off anytime. I called customer service to no avail. They just wanted me to schedule a repairman to come out and fix it at my expense. Now, I know why they only give a one-year warranty - they know it will last one year but not much longer. Im from a generation of people that is used to appliances lasting 10 - 14 years and the company stood behind their products and didnt ask you to buy an expensive extended warranty for the 2nd year and so on. If inferior products were not manufactured, there would be no need for an extended warranty. Anyway, Im not going to put any money (I was quoted a $129 charge by Whirlpools service department just for the diagnosis of the problem which didnt include the labor or parts costs.) into a washer that will probably continue to have problems and become a money pit. Consequently, I will never buy nor recommend anyone buy Whirlpool appliances. It would get quite expensive buying a new washer every 3 years or buying the extended warranty plan. The matching dryer had no major problems, but a couple of years ago, I had to have the door changed from opening from right to left to opening from left to right because the door catch broke on the right side. Hopefully, nothing else will go wrong with it in the near future.

I have been buying Whirlpool appliances most of my married life. Our most recent washing purchase is the worst machine I ever owned. I have ruined more clothes, rugs, sheets and towels, etc. than I ever have in my 45 years of doing my own laundry. In fact, I do not EVER remember a washing machine destroying any of my articles. I just pulled 2 almost new rugs out of the washer only to find they have been destroyed! I am pretty sure it is the extremely fast spin cycle that is destroying my items. I know it cant be the agitator because it doesnt move fast enough to even clean the clothes. And the stupid load sensor is absolutely worthless! It does not dispense enough water to even cover the clothes let alone clean them. Go back to the old machines that did their job without destroying anything and actually cleaned the clothes with an amount of water that I chose. I ABSOLUTELY HATE this machine.

My husband and I purchased this washer in August of 2011. Within 2 years the lid broke because of it a cheap plastic frame on a heavy glass lid. At that time I researched it and found many people with the same complaint. Whirlpool would not do anything for us but the company that we purchased it from did agree to supply the part if we paid the labor. We did this and replaced the lid. Well here it is just right at 2 years again and the lid is completely broken and the washer is unusable. There is no way to bypass the lid issue which makes the washer completely useless.I called Whirlpool again and was told there was nothing that could be done and that because there was not a recall on the product, they would not be able to do anything for me. We have purchased a new Samsung washer that received excellent reviews from Consumer reports and we will NEVER buy another Whirlpool product again. Whirpool Part #WPW10564292 refrigerator handle - I am a property manager who has 264 units. We have only been open for 1.5 years and have had to replace 30-40 door handles because they crack at the top where screws are. We tried calling Whirlpool Customer Service because obviously this is a defect and she said they looked in the system and didnt see any recall or issues. We also asked for a representative from Whirlpool to stop out so we could show them the issues and she said we have nobody in the area. We have 9 service requests outstanding that need a new refrigerator handle. On July 19th, we ordered 3 handles from our distributor and we were told theyre on back order until September 6th. When I called at the end of August to make sure we were on schedule with delivery, I was informed they are now on back order until November 5th. I just called our part rep. this morning and now they said the current part number does not exists and gave me the new part # W11026870, and they are on back order until mid or end of November. I am not going to keep quiet about this issue. We have paid $79.89 per handle on a refrigerator that is only a 1 to 2 years old appliance. I am requesting a returned call or email on what you are going to be able to do for us. This is not right or fair to a company that spent a large amount of money to have your appliances in 264 units.

We did not have any manuals how to setup and use. After we called the customer service they send us the operating manual. We encounter several other problems with this unit and the most recent one to our surprise the warning light to change the water filter was on. We hardly using the water from the fridge because of the having monthly spring water delivery service. We called customer service and after explanation of our concern and following their instruction the light was on. Finally we were told that whether or not using the water filter has to be changed every 6 months and send us the additional service warranty contract which is $411.95 for 3 years. Friends and family dont you ever dare to buy a refrigerator from Whirlpool - Best Buy!!! They sold me a defect refrigerator and after 2 months begging to see a technician, they are telling me that they are going to fix it. Im so tired of them trying to fix it. Theyve been here 4 times with no luck. All my food is rotten and frozen. And its a new refrigerator. Gosh. As you can see, the water in the plastic cup that I left in my refrigerator are frozen which is not supposed to happen. I feel that Im dealing with nonsense. They dont care. They just took my money and thats it. Im left with a new defect refrigerator that doesnt work. Ridiculous.

We purchased our Whirlpool french door refrigerator with bottom freezer, model number WRF990SLAM02, from Lowes in August 2013. In November 2013 we noticed a pool of water on the floor, resulting from what looked like a leak coming from the ice maker. After contacting customer service, they sent a repair company to service the fridge. This rep stayed no longer than 5 minutes and barely looked at the appliance. He said this is a known issue by the company, they have since implemented a fix in the newer models, and it just needed one replacement part and would be good as new. It did NOT fix the problem, it continued to worsen to the point where the freezer is no longer working. I have a freezer full of defrosted food that is not safe to eat. Whirlpool finally agreed (after 3 months) to send another repair company to look at the fridge. This rep took over an hour thoroughly examining the appliance and concluded that it could not be repaired and would need to be replaced; otherwise, we could expect the same issue to keep recurring. Whirlpool did agree to replace the fridge, but has not been able to provide a timeframe. I was contacted by a representative from the product replacement line named Alisha, but she has never answered her phone I have returned her calls. I finally got a representative on the line who informed me I need to wait until I get a call letting me know the replacement product is in-stock. That was 3 weeks ago, and this morning I woke up to a huge water leak coming from the fridge. Whirlpool has deflected the issue off to Lowes, where I purchased it, and said they will have no further contact with me regarding the appliance. I will NEVER purchase another product from this company again. They seemingly left a faulty product on the market and failed to inform me about the known issue. Then they failed to quickly provide needed repair or replacement in a timely manner. They also refuse to reimburse me for the food loss, which would not have ever occurred had they handled the issue appropriately from the beginning. TERRIBLE company.

Ive spent more repairing this washer than what I paid for it new!!! Its really ridiculous that Whirlpool isnt more responsible for their equipment that doesnt stand up to their name! Ive replaced more things than I want to type but just to start the computer board, pump, bearings just to name a few. Each time I had my repairman out it was a minimum of $300 to repair. Ive had my repairman out 5 times to repair things. Thinking each time its cheaper to fix it than buy another which I surely didnt think I would be repairing it several time! At this point Im just sick to death that a washer that is for a home of myself and my daughter has broken down so much. I cant imagine what a family would go through. Even after all the repairs it still isnt right but Im done sinking money into this sinking ship of a washer! Its loud constantly stops due to un level so I have to move the clothes around usually having to repeat this several times before I can get the load to finish!!! Then they come out wrinkled more than they went in and I have to iron clothes. A person should NOT need to iron! May as well wash them in the river on a rock. It would be easier!!! SO DISAPPOINTED!!!

I bought a Duet front load washer and dryer set in January 2009 from our local Lowes. Spin cycle noise progressively got louder over time to the point we contacted our locally owned service company to check it out in June 2011. Cause is defective shell and spin tub, total repair cost $750. This was about the original cost of the washer! I contacted Whirlpool via e-mail (wait time via their phone is outrageous), they wont do anything. Out of warranty. Up until now, Whirlpool has had a good name with me. Not anymore. I will never buy anything Whirlpool manufactured ever again. (Maytag, Kenmore, maybe more brands.)American companys insensitivity such as this is what gives some of American industry a bad name and drives consumers away to quality foreign brands made in Europe: German, Swiss, Italian, Swedish, etc.Im going to take a hard look at Bosch washers to replace this Whirlpool piece of junk.

My husband and I purchased a new Maytag top load washing machine from Best Buy in May 2017. On June 19th, a month later, as I am washing, all of a sudden the machine dies down. I checked everything from the outlet, the plug to the circuit breaker, and nothing seemed to help get my washer to start up again. Unfortunately I had wet clothes inside and the lid is one of those that locks itself and it would not open. :( I called Whirlpool/Maytag to explain my situation and could not believe that they told me that they only have 1 authorized appliance repair dealer they work with in my area and that they didnt show any available appointments until 4 weeks from now? WHAT? Are you kidding me? I could not wait that long, especially since I had soaking wet clothes sitting inside the washer.I asked if I called someone else myself and have it repaired sooner, would they reimburse me for the expenses. They refused to do that and told me I need to wait for their own authorized repair dealers. Talk about bad customer service here :( My husband called them back and asked to speak to a supervisor at Whirlpool and was told that it shouldnt have to be that long for us to wait for repair so why was I told that in the first place? The supervisor proceeded to tell my husband that we will get a call back in 5 days? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? 5 days just for someone to CALL us? And then have to wait longer to get our service done? No way!We think that Whirlpool sold Best Buy a lemon and we are paying for it! Why cant they say that they will get in touch with Best Buy so they can deliver a new working machine and take this lemon back? We are not happy with their responses so we will be paying Best Buy a visit to see what else we can do. I already spent unnecessary money to go to a laundromat to wash clothes :( I would recommend that people stay away from Whirlpool products. Well see if we can exchange ours for another brand.

I bought a Whirlpool top loading washing machine with dryer on top, model # WGT4027EWo, last August, not even 3 months old and noticed the lint was not coming off the clothes. We tried cleaning out the washing machine with vinegar, wiping down the sides, using smaller loads and even used the gentle cycle. Nothing helped. We have had 2 different repair men out and they said there is nothing wrong with the washing machine and to put the clothes in the dryer and use fabric softener. I have never had to use fabric softener in my washing machine to get my clothes clean. When reaching out to customer service, I have spent over 2 hours and no satisfaction. They state that the technicians say there is nothing wrong with the machine. I was told by both of the technicians that they removed the lint trap from this machine, but no one is taking responsibility. My whites have blue lint and my darks have white lint, so too strong an agitation, as suggested by one repairmen is completely wrong! What to do when you spend over $1,000 on a washer/dryer combo and they dont work correctly and Whirlpool doesnt stand behind their product? Honestly, I will never buy another product from this company, and I 60 y/o and never made a complaint before about a appliance in my life!!! I dont even think I can give them 1 star! DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL - CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!!

I have a Whirlpool Duet front loader. Sick of it since I bought it! Not enough water to wash & rinse clothes. After consulting sites on internet, husband decided to try adjusting part. He just took off the 3 screws & lifted top off. On the outside part that has a white plastic housing, he turned the longer screw 2 1/4 times clockwise. EUREKA! We have more water! You may need to start out adjusting 1 turn & work up till you see a water level you like. Just dont let the water come over the wide rubber water guard.

Model number wrf990slam00. I purchased this French door refrigerator in September of 2013 (less than two years ago). Our freezer stopped freezing a month ago. Knowing it was out of Warranty we had a non-Whirlpool related repair tech out. He said the compressor was going out, he said to call Whirlpool because this should not be happening on a fridge less than two years old. I called Whirlpool. They offered me a extended Warranty knowing the issue for $320 so I accepted since a compressor with labor is much more than that. Whirlpool arranged for a repair person to come out. The guy hardly looked at my fridge, didnt hook any gauges up and said maybe just see it in a few days it works again... after asking ME for a thermometer to check the temperature! I told him well we had a previous repair person out and he said it was the compressor. He said hed have to have someone else come out because he doesnt know anything about compressors. Um ok why did they send you out then! So the following week I get a call from a different guy with the same company saying my parts were in and they were going to come out and replace them. I said I thought the guy didnt know what was wrong with it. He said oh well its the compressor and evaporator! Ok well I guess comes fix it then. They came out replaced the parts. Within 36 hours the freezer was working again, ok great! Well a week later we had people over and we bought ice cream and put it in the freezer. A few hours later we pull it out and its melting. Called Whirlpool again, they sent a second company out. The guy hooked up his gauges and said it was definitely leaking refrigerant and the fibrotic in the ice maker was broken. He said he couldnt fix it because the company that replaced them is responsible for it, and that in this type of refrigerator the compressors need to be placed a certain way or they leak which he suspected that was the case. Called Whirlpool, they scheduled for the original company to come out. After 2 times of them not showing they finally came a week and a half later. The guy hooked up his gauges said it wasnt leaking and that the other guy didnt know how to read the gauges. He looked around for a bit, took my drawers out then put them back in and broke one of the brackets, then called the tech line and said its probably an internal leak. He said he needed approval from Whirlpool to look any further. A few hours after he left the refrigerator got warm. I called Whirlpool to expedite the claim and they said the company hadnt made a claim yet. Ok great. I have a two-year-old and Im pregnant and we have no refrigerator! Called the next day. Whirlpool said the refrigerator is now too expensive or not repairable and they are going to make me an offer on replacement. Ok great! Well not so much. I call a few days later to see where the heck my offer is and they tell me sorry we will only refund your Warranty What! My fridge is less than two years old and I paid $2100 and it is not repairable and thats all you will do!!!! Im in the process of fighting this but I doubt they will do anything. Just dont ever buy a Whirlpool and if you do buy the Warranty the store offers! Each repair person that came suggested the same thing and said these new Whirlpools are junk and have had many of these refrigerators do the same thing. Whirlpool makes tons and tons of money making these cheap refrigerators but does not care about the customer whatsoever! Whirlpool has lost my business forever and I hope more customers because of this review.

The trim on the front the my Whirlpool electric range has rubbed off. This is where the knobs for the burners are located. It was replaced once during the Whirlpool 1 year warranty (so it obviously happened with the first year!) and again during the second year we have had it. We have an extended warranty but have been told that it is not covered. It is ecstatically unacceptable. We have not used any type of harsh cleansers on it - simply a sponge to remove any spills yet it keeps on disappearing. I strongly recommend against buying any range from Whirlpool as it is quite obvious that they do not stand behind their products beyond the first year.

I have owned the Whirlpool Cabrio for one year now. I cannot express enough what a complete waste of money this machine is. It literally does not wash clothes in even the most basic interpretation of washing. Clothes are almost in the same position as when they were put in the machine. Dont even bother with stain removal, it just rubs stains in and makes them worse. Seriously beware. Very expensive and not worth one dime. Im replacing with the Maytag. I should have stayed with in the first place. I will NEVER buy Whirlpool again. Must have skipped the entire product development on this one. I wouldnt even give it a one star review but the submission wouldnt process without it. WASTE OF $$ DO NOT BUY.

I initially purchased all new Whirlpool products as part of my new home purchase in a Pulte subdivision, June, 2011. My WP microwave failed to heat in 2012 and the replacement of the Magnetron and Inverter and service was covered under warranty (would have cost me $493.51). Sadly, the microwave again failed to heat in 2014. I was so disgusted with this second failure, I decided to live without a MW until January, 2016 when I paid for my second service call and learned, once again, I needed a replacement Magnetron and Inverter, to the tune of $400. Both servicemen told me the 2011 magnetron/ inverter mechanisms were new technology and did not last long. Again, sadly, when I contacted Whirlpool, they would not admit to their defective product line and indicated they could do nothing since I am out of warranty. It is unconscionable that a corporation is not liable for their defective products.

Purchased a Gold Series Whirlpool dishwasher, Mo. No. WDT720PADW2, From Maruszcak in Schererville, In. on 1-29-16. Approximately a year later door was replaced by Whirlpool because of paint problem due to faulty design. Replaced door is now peeling and rusting by exhaust vent also. Contacted Whirlpool and they will do nothing more. They said it was a favor the first time they replaced the door. They feel this is a cosmetic problem! I paid a total of $675.03, Their repairman would charge a $100.00 to look at it and another $235.00 for a new door. I feel this is a design problem and they should replace it with a new model, a refund would be better. Very unlikey, because Whirlpool does not stand behind their products. The line also includes Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana and Hot Point. Besides this I have found plastic pieces that have fallen off! I had to use plastic ties to keep them in place. Dishwasher does not clean well. Have to rinse everything first. Products are bad, stay away from them!

Yesterday I purchased this Whirlpool top load washer model WTW4816FW with agitator and we installed it at our vacation home and I started a small load to wash. Yikes, it made noises like a machine that is on its last legs. I knew from washing clothes for 40 years that this is NOT right. We, hubby and I waited and listened to this piece of junk to finish the cycle. Thank god I had set it for a short wash. We also videoed this contraption while it was grinding. I called Lowes and politely told them I was returning it. Thankfully they never had a problem with us bringing it back. (This must happen often.) I go back to the appliance department and decide on a Maytag. I noticed that it looked like the junk we just returned. I stood there and looked up the model number online and lo and behold there was a video of it doing exactly the same noise. It was virtually the same machine I just returned with just a name change. Needless to say we left the store washerless until I can research this further. I then found out that Whirlpool now owns Maytag. Thing is I just bought a front loader Maytag for my main home and it works good. It was a replacement for a Whirlpool without a agitator which worked well too. The YouTube videos seem to be washers with agitators doing this. I just wish I could post the video for all to hear. I guess we are all at the mercy of big companies who dont care if they make a good product as long as they can make it cheap.

Whirlpool Dishwasher Quiet Partner III Model #8575637, White - Purchased in
Whirlpool Dishwasher Quiet Partner III Model #8575637, White - Purchased in 2006. As of July 2013, I can say this is the worst dishwasher we have ever owned. After normal use (once a day or less), the plastic on the front control panel began cracking in the first year, and the button covers have fallen off completely. Dishes were never completely clean (at least not as clean as other dishwashers). Dishwasher leaked out one side and needed repairs. Now it is in need of a new valve, because no water is coming into the inner cavity. Repairman says it is likely that the control board, which is getting moisture into it after losing buttons, etc., will probably need to be replaced soon as well. $300 more to spend on a repair bill. SAD (AND DANGEROUS!) THAT SO MANY APPLIANCES ARE ADDING UP IN OUR LANDFILLS. There should be a LAW requiring appliances to last a certain number of years, and to clearly state their expected life on the appliance when you purchase it. Planned Obsolescence is a common business plan these days, but there must be some control on what is allowed! (I may go ahead and repair this model just because I feel bad adding one more piece of junk to our collective global pile! Sheesh!!) And all those energy star, were so green advertisements? Well, if its soon to be sitting in a landfill, its NOT so green! I am willing to pay more to purchase appliances that will last a number of years, not need many repairs, and function as they advertise... Thank goodness I kept our very first Whirlpool refrigerator - never needing any repairs and still running like a tank out in the garage. (So I know Whirlpool, at least at one time, was able to build a quality product!)

As soon as we bought our new microwave, I saw what appeared to be hair on the door. I tried to scratch it off but I could not so I wondered if it was a crack but I could not feel it. As time went by, many other lines appeared but I could not feel them, just see them. After a couple of months, I noticed the first crack could be felt and then soon after that I could feel the other cracks. The first crack goes from the glass to the edge of the door and is wide open and the door edge kind of just hangs there. There are now about 20 cracks and the door will most likely fall apart soon. I called Whirlpool and they lied and said there have been no complaints at all about their doors. I read them some of the names here on this site having the same problem and the best they can do is offer to sell me a new door for $180. I told them that their product was defective and need to be recalled or something and he again tried to send me to the parts department to sell me a $180 door. I told him if that is how Whirlpool treats their customers, I would no longer buy anything from them.

Went over to store and they gave me Whirlpool repair phone number. Called and was told they only repair Mon - Fri 8am-4pm. I work every day until 5pm and off weekends. Told Whirlpool repair just that. THEN I TOLD by girl I was speaking to (Whirlpool repair) I COULD JUST RETURN THE WASHER TO THE STORE (Home Depot) MYSELF. I WAS FIT TO BE TIED. I told her, What should I do? Carry it on my back? I have never been treated so poorly. I just moved here from Florida, started a new job. I cant take a day off to have the washer that should have worked fixed. I will never purchase anything else from Home Depot if this is how Im treated, and Whirlpool their customer service stinks!!! We bought the Whirlpool Duet set for $1,000 18 months ago. About four months ago, it started shredding our clothes. I would get them out with holes in them, but there was nothing sharp in the washer. Then the grey outside seal started deteriorating and getting tiny balls of rubber all over my clothes, ruining several white shirts. It always smells like mold. I just went to get my clothes out of it to find out it leaked water all over with that disintegrated rubber from the seal. The seal had completely ripped from the top to the bottom drain for no apparent reason. Now we are replacing the below. We JUST paid it off this month. It is crazy, it is already breaking!

I bought the Whirlpool Cabrio 5.3 cubic foot washing machine to replace a Samsung equivalent machine. I am so extremely disappointed with it. As a mother of nine (seven of them boys) I need a quality machine. Unfortunately this is not one. The clothes come out of the machine just as dirty as they went in. The pants still have dirt on the knees. I think a rinse in the sink would yield better results. I use the highest soil setting, warmest water fabric will allow, and exclusively Tide detergent. I only fill the tub with half a load (completely voiding the value of large capacity) and yet still have to run clothes through twice.I really don’t have time for this. All the kids clothes have to be inspected before drying. I wish I could go back in time and keep my Samsung which was recalled. I would rather take the risk of an exploding machine than deal with this one any longer. Unfortunately, after spending over $1000 on the washer (and buying the matching dryer) I’m stuck with this useless machine. I hope others don’t make the same mistake I did.

This is the information I tried to send to Whirlpool only to get a message that it was undeliverable: I purchased a set of whirlpool cabrio washer and dryer on 10-23-2013 (model numbers WTW8540BW, and WED8500BW). On 01-25-15 the washing machine failed to power up just over 2 months out of the standard warranty. This wasnt the low end cheap models. With cash discounts we paid over $1600.00 for the set. After a $70.00 dollar charge to the repairman we are told that the unit has a bad electric control board (part # W10761026). And unfortunately the part is on back order until March 1st, 2015 as of right now. So if and when the repairman gets the part and installs it, I get to pay him an additional $260.00. My family has always been such a dedicated Whirlpool appliance purchaser but this is wrong.Oh I almost forget, now I have to rent a washing machine at a cost of $55.00 per month until mine is repaired. I believed I was purchasing Whirlpool quality. The type of quality that doesnt need an extended warranty because Whirlpool is made to last correct? Please assist me in making this situation right and restore my faith in the quality I was raised with in Whirlpool products.

My clothes are not clean and my whites are very dingy. I use the same soap (Tide) and the same bleach (Clorox) that I have used for years. If I can find someone dumb enough to buy it I will sell it and get a good one. I would rather go back to the old wringer washers than this one.

Purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator the last week of January 2014 with promised delivery date of February 6, 2015. Received call Feb. 2 that the earliest they could deliver would be February 13th. Received call Feb. 3 that the earliest they could deliver would be February 19, almost 2 months after purchase of refrigerator. Sears, where we purchased the refrigerator, told me that they have been dealing with this for 10 years with Whirlpool. Why would Sears sell products to their customers with this kind of delivery problem? They only communicate with Whirlpool via email, so there is no resolution with a person to get issue taken care of. We will never buy a Whirlpool product again & will never buy anything from Sears again.

As with other posts here, the rear bearing is going out of Whirlpool Duet front loading washer. I purchased mine in late 2008. Moderate use always according to recommendations. I called Whirlpool and same story--no recall and it would be expensive to have it repaired. I cant see putting $400 to $500 in parts even if I repair it myself. I cant believe that with such a common problem, Whirlpool wouldnt either honor a repair or offer a reasonable bearing package to fix. It requires the entire back, half of a new drum. Poor design, but whats worse is no effort by Whirlpool to rectify the situation.

Although we live in Canada, we purchased our slide-in oven at Sears Roebuck
Although we live in Canada, we purchased our slide-in oven at Sears Roebuck in Buffalo, NY only because of the size availability only in the US (actually, the unit was manufactured in Canada as we found out later!). Obviously, this created another problem since the unit was not underwritten by Canadian Electric codes, Sears Canada repair would not touch it! Once installed, it worked great until the first problem with the oven quitting after self-cleaning. It is the second time in 3 years that both the thermostat and the sensor went in this RBS245 slide-in oven. Once the self-clean cycle completes (quite smelly!) and cools, the oven does not operate rendering the oven useless. First time, in 2009, Sears repair only suggested (since they would not do repair on it for reasons stated above) which parts could be faulty: Timer, sensor, thermostat or elements. It was thought to be the electronic timer unit, which was replaced at a $215 (needlessly) because that was OK. Both thermostat and sensor cost $150. Even the elements were replaced, $52. The second time, just a week ago, exactly the same happened. I replaced the 2 items: Sensor and thermostat at a cost of $154 and the oven worked fine again. I called both Whirlpool US and Canada, but no one could/would give any answers why this happens. So far, it cost $600 in parts to repair! This is nonsense from a company that has had good reputation and record. Obviously, that is changing! If Whirlpool cannot engineer a product that works as they say it does, they should close the shop! Reading here, there are others who complained with the same problem. It is time for Whirlpool to come clean!

I bought this Cabrio Washing Machine just over a year ago and it never drained water when I was doing towels and bed sheets. Life got in the way, and I managed to run smaller loads in the regular settings. Now, the machine is just over a year old and it will not spin unless I put it on the rinse and spin issue. It takes well over 2 hours to wash a load of laundry. From looking at other reviews, this is a big problem. I would not recommend this washer to anyone. It cost a ton of money and was the worst washing machine I have ever used.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer - Its been a month now and still the washer is not fixed. The repairman through Lowes warranty service is the worst by far I have ever dealt with. I had new transmission put on, still wont agitate and smells hot. The washer is only 18 months old, well taken care of. This expensive hunk of junk is worthless and the aggravation for all this mess is worse. I called Whirlpool 2 times. The first time, I got a call with the standard oh so sorry bit. Oh boy, that gets the washer fixed. Not. I blasted them and Lowes again. I have had it with this mess. The repairman is supposed to contact Lowes a week ago for replacement. He has done zero. I called Lowes to check. How can they sell this junk to customers who pay for this washer? They know it is junk, Lowes and Whirlpool, so do the right thing and recall the junker for refunds to consumers.

Whirlpool tells its technicians that the front molding piece on their dryer
Whirlpool tells its technicians that the front molding piece on their dryers is a disposable part . Basically, it has to be removed to examine the console and removing it will break it 90% of the time. Therefore, the customer will have to replace a $100.00 part simply to diagnose any problems. I now have a dryer with no front panel simply because I wanted to know why a button was sticking.

Hi team, I have to lodge this complaint after because of getting continuous problems I have suffered with my Whirlpool fully automatic washing machine top load 11 kg bloom wash 360 degree. I purchased the abovesaid brand new washing machine on 1st Jan 2017. Since the purchase I am struggling with this machine. I raised the fault in the beginning itself and the service was done on 5th of Feb. Jobs sheets enclosed here with.Similar issues kept on arising and whenever I raised those issues with the whirlpool team, they mentioned that company policy is to repair the faulty part if it’s in warranty and they will not replace. They suggested me to go for the AMC and to be on the safer side, I also took AMC under warranty period only. (AMC card - My cheque dates and service details all are mentioned onto it.) Recently I faced another issue on 26th Feb for which ticket was raised. Engineer visited on 27th Feb and advised us to replace the motor part. On 3rd March they replaced motor mechanism and ball-bearings. Then engineer advised us to check the working by giving a trial wash.I started the machine to wash clothes and after 20 mins machine started making abnormal noise. (I have made video of it, audio of the video captured the noise). I again called up the service engineer immediately and informed him about the voice coming out of machine and he gave a lame answer by saying “It is normal sound”. Then I again called Whirlpool and requested senior engineer visit to resolve the issue. Senior engineer visited and told us that one of motor screw wasn’t tighten properly. It opened while running the machine which completely damaged the motor. After that I am continuously calling to service centre to get the updates on my machine motor replacement. Finally they mentioned that they dont have motor part available with them due to company ceased this model productivity. When I raised this issue with the Whirlpool team they mentioned that they can only pay 40% of the machine value, because I had AMC. However, I did mention that this damage is caused by the negligence of their service engineer, but they didn’t discuss anything about it.When I continuously chased them they dropped me an email to refund only the 40% of the machine value. I feel cheated and harassed!! When I bought the machine they gave us 10 years warranty now they mention that motor is not available as it’s a 5 years old model. My grievance is that since I had already taken the AMC and the damage was also caused by their engineer, why I have to bear the loss. I have already struggled a lot with this machine since last 5 years from the day I bought this machine and now I am losing my hard earned money. Kindly do the needful. Documents attached as follows: 1. Serial number of this machine 2. Bill/ Invoice copy from dealer 3. Job sheets4. AMC card (with 3 years extended warranty) Thanks,Pratibha

I bought a frost-free deep freezer 2 years ago from a box store. Within 1 year it went out and I lost approximately $1000 worth of food. Called the box store and they called A&E. Bought the extended warranty. A year later the deep freezer went out again. Lost another $1000 worth of food. Im scared to death to use my Whirlpool deep freezer again. Am I going to lose $1000 worth of food each year? No satisfaction with Whirlpool whatsoever for this piece of junk. And the problems were manufacturer defects. In fact, one of the parts had a recall on it and we were never notified. I dont know about anyone else, but I cant afford to just throw away $1000 worth of food every year. Ive bought my last Whirlpool appliance now. I wish I had read these reviews. It would have made a difference to me.

Why am I not surprised by this stupid American company? I purchased a brand new fridge in June this year and for the last 5 months I have had about 20 different technician visits by five different technicians who changed almost everything you could possibly imagine - evaporator, control, sensor, compressor, display, etc., etc. And the company still refused to take any responsibilities. They kept telling me that more inspection was needed EVEN AFTER all the technicians said there was NOTHING THEY COULD DO. After having to yell at them for about an hour, they finally realized they had to issue me a new fridge. What a piece of crap they are. Even then when I called back about the exchange, they pretended they could not find my file. WTF??? They really tried EVERYTHING they could not to issue an exchange. Wow. What an incredible company and its customer service. I will never, ever buy another American product - nothing complicated with computerized parts anyway. They are NOT capable of producing such complex machines. They should stick with toasters or juicers - lol. Stupid Americans. LG and Samsung all the way baby!!! ** you Whirlpool.

We purchased Whirlpool dishwasher Model #GU3200XTXB Nov. 2011. Two weeks later they replaced the soap/rinse aid dispenser because the rinse aid was running out the bottom of the dispenser. Feb. 2012 they replaced the handle which was loose. July 2012 the panel lights werent working and that was replaced. Feb. 2014 the soap dispenser door would not open, so the dispenser was replaced again. March 2014 the soap door would not open again so the computer board was replaced & the door did open. However, it stopped again 3 days later. April 2014 the dispenser and the board were both replaced. The rinse aid dispenser did not dispense leaving the inside with moisture on everything. So yesterday the dispenser was again replaced but now the rinse aid is running out the bottom of the dispenser. Thank goodness we purchased an extended warranty for $169 or we would have spent more than $1,000 on repairs!! The warranty company refuses to acknowledge that their lemon law should apply. There are 2 of us and we use it 2/3 times weekly.

My Whirlpool washing machine has not worked properly from the first day. Whirlpool washing machine customer care is pathetic. I bought a Whirlpool semi-automatic washing machine, Sparkle. This product is in warranty period. From the first day, this product did not give right result. Machine sound is very high and I called customer care center may times (around 9-10 times). They sent this machine three times in service center but the results remained the same. The problem arose when we put some load in it. He said the gear box should be changed and the machine should be cleansed off the dirt. He offered some powder costing Rs. 1500/- to be used in washing machine.Later, he asked Rs. 350/- for other parts after two months then I paid them again after 15 days for a piece that did not work. Then, they want to charge me Rs. 350/- again. When I showed the previous slip, they then changed that part without any cost. But after 15 days, again same problem occurred. They charged me 150/- Rs. but the problem is the same. Total money I spent is Rs. 1500/-+350/-+150/-. I also purchased a stand and cover for safety, but what will happen if product is not good? The technicians visited many times and they all said this piece is not okay but they cant do anything. The company should change this product. The machine is still rotting at my home. Im not sure if it could be accepted to be exchanged for a new one. Customer care gave us the satisfaction code but technician did not ask for this code. Im really very sad that I have called around 10 complaints within two years. Why are you people not listening? You all are doing time pass. You can check my complaint codes in your records and ask your technicians about Noida. Many times, I did not note the complaints number. Please open my file and check the issue. I told the technician many times that I want to talk to your seniors and want to tell them the problem because from the first day, it was the same, but they refused. I have also purchased a 320 LT fridge from you but that product is very nice. You should listen to our problems. This was not expected of such a branded company. I promised myself that I will never in my life purchase a Whirlpool product and advise the same to others.

I have the model FG1H5040T3NOV water heater and had found this message board. I called the number posted by Chris with American Water Heater and provided them with my serial number. They shipped me the replacement assembly next day and after about an hour, I had it installed and working again. Im not too happy with the fact that it failed, but it does appear they have their act together in getting the replacement parts distributed.Based on the discussion with the person on the phone, my only real gripe is this: the cause of the component failure was potentially caused by a dirty-flame trap that supposedly needs to be cleaned regularly. Since the trap is underneath the water heater and is in no way really accessible, relying on people to see the fine print in the manual (which hardly anyone reads) isnt sufficient. At an absolute minimum, a very clear and apparent sticker should be included on all water heaters indicating this needs to be cleaned and a clear description of how to clean it properly to prevent this sort of unnecessary headache in the future.

I purchased a Cabrio Top Load Washer and Front Load Dryer four and a 1/2 years ago and have had nothing but trouble with them! The dryer needs to be run 2 cycles to get the clothes dry. In that time I have had a repairman come to the house 3 different times to look at the dryer, which cost me over $200. They have had to replace the belt and inner pulley and then the sensor harness. Recently when they came they tried replacing the coils. It continues to give me trouble drying the clothes and I am very dissatisfied with it. A few weeks ago the washer broke. I have had repairmen come to the house 4 different times. Multiple times there has been a problem with the spin and drain cycle. All of the water would not empty out. I would have to run the cycle again. They eventually replaced the actuator. I continued to have difficulties with the washer. Then the machine got very loud when it would spin out sounding like a rocket was going to take off! The repairman came once again said it was the motor. When they returned with the parts and took the machine apart, the parts inside the machine had all corroded! The water had been leaking inside the machine, destroying it, and a black sticky buildup had formed! The machine was deemed unrepairable! I paid over $700 for each machine and am very upset about this. When I spoke to customer service they would not stand by their product because I didnt have the warranty anymore. After numerous phone calls I filed a complaint and gave a bad review of the support service and product that I received.Weeks later they called me and offered to have me purchase another machine at half price! I had already bought another brand washing machine and I asked them to apply the amount toward what I had spent on the new one. They would not and insisted the only thing they could do would be to have me buy their washer at half price. I told them I lost faith in their product and didnt want another one. So, I would not recommend the Whirlpool Cabrio washer and dryer, or Whirlpool products since they will not stand by them! I have pictures to prove what happened to the washer!
