Cabrio top load HE washer - Ive only had the washer a couple of years. My husband bought it for me thinking it would make washing more time efficient and energy saving. Lesson learned! After struggling with this washer for the past year, I was told today that to repair it, it would cost around $800 or I would need to buy another washer. The washers bearings and tub need to be replaced and it will not spin properly or at all. Previously, I have owned washers for over 10 years each. This was definitely not a good purchase. After reading all of the other complaints on this site, I understand that I am not alone. It was also mentioned on one complaint of the possibility of a fire hazard with this washer. Whirlpool should be recalling.

I am extremely disappointed in my new Whirlpool washer dryer matched set. My washer started to leak at less than 6 months of age, and my clothes are extremely wrinkled due to excessive spin and smell absolutely foul. I have adjusted the spin cycle to the lowest setting to prevent wrinkling as suggested in the product materials. I have cleaned the washer with the recommended product on the clean washer setting, although now with the leak, that means a good floor mopping too!I have contacted customer service about the leak since the machine is still under warranty - and they gave me a 4-hour window on a specified day for the service. I took the time off work and the technician failed to show. I called twice to follow up on his whereabouts and ETA. They did nothing except tell me to keep waiting. 45 minutes after the outside hour of arrival had passed, I called again. The customer service offered to make me another appointment so I could take another half day off work and hope he would show up the next time. When I asked for a preferential booking (with a real time) to minimize taking more time off work, the manager said all she could do was give me another 4-hour window. I said that was really bad service and she hung up on me! Another rep did do a little better - he sent me a name and number and said I could try to book an appointment directly and hopefully minimize the additional time off. Its the last Whirlpool appliance Ill buy - with that kind of customer service, Id rather be out pounding my laundry on a rock.

I thought with the big tub I would be able to wash my king size bedding and other large things. Theres barely enough water to wash a small regular wash. Since it has no water it does not clean my clothes. Why the big tub if you cant use but one fourth of it?

Doesnt wash clothes properly - often some items of clothing just dont get wet. After 3 years the whole main bearing in it failed, causing unbelievable noise and constant overload faults. All Whirlpool top load washers have this critical design fault where water leaks into the main bearing (the bearing is an unsealed type with a cheap grommet seal) and then after a year or 2 the bearing starts to cease and the machine overloads itself trying to operate. Replacing the bearing means pulling the whole machine apart - and with a cheap press-fit bearing like this, special tools are needed and it will never operate smoothly again anyhow. In any case in 2 years, the faulty bearing seal design will let water destroy the bearing again. Effectively it is not repairable. Sounds like class action to me. So, it became an $1000 paperweight and I bought a new Samsung unit. I assume the Koreans know how to design bearings and seals...

Whirlpool Duet 3.9 cu ft High-Efficiency WFW9451XW00 - Hear my first experience with Whirlpool. I purchased a washer machine 30 April 2014. Guess what - machine stop working suddenly on July 30th, just about three months later. I had a lot of guest from overseas. While they visit me, I did not have my washer machine. How embarrassing. It was big mistake to buy Whirlpool. It is all made plastic inside and they uses cheap Chinese material. Anyway, technician came house to check what the problem was... all control system was burned. He ordered almost 10 parts from Whirlpool on 04 August. Whirlpool scheduled delivery for 20 of August. I called them for them to send the parts faster so my guests could wash their clothes. They send them little faster for August 16. After a day, technician was in the house again. I waited about 3 hours for him to fix my machine. He was really nice guy. He put install all new parts. Just in front of me, new parts broke after 5 minute. Whirlpool still did not contact me about their decision. Today is August 26th... I called them 5 time already - Nobody give me useful info. NO Whirlpool, guys - bad service.

I have a Whirlpool refrigerator and it is the 2nd one in 12 months. The first one the refrigerator was freezing food in the fridge part and thawing food in the freezer part. After several times a technician came to try to fix the problem and arguments with Whirlpool. They finally replaced the refrigerator. The new one is now doing the same thing. I am contacting Whirlpool tomorrow.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer Model WTW6500WW1 Ser C02670098 Type 580 is the worst appliance I have ever had. All the bad comments from people are all true! The washer leaves clothes wet. I get F1 error code or it just locks up and I have to unplug it and plug in again, twists clothes up and doesnt get clothes clean. I have always bought Whirlpool appliances because they were good but this washer has changed my mind about Whirlpool.

Purchased this 27 cubic ft French door bottom freezer fridge (WRF757SDEM01)
Purchased this 27 cubic ft French door bottom freezer fridge (WRF757SDEM01) in Sep 2016. Approximately 8 months after, fridge stopped cooling. Called Whirlpool for service diagnosis since fridge was still under warranty. Service tech stated coils were freezing over due to part malfunction and part needed to be replaced and ordered. He provided me with a temporary fix by defrosting all the ice from the coils since the part would take approximately two weeks to come in. I spent an entire day of annual leave from my place of employment for this service call!!! New part was replaced and fridge was cooling like it was supposed to.Here again six months after the part replacement, my fridge was doing the same thing again; NOT COOLING my food AND there was this awful noise coming from the area in which the part was replaced. That drove me CRAZY to the point I would turn it off in short increments to maintain my sanity. I called whirlpool AGAIN, and this time, my fridge is NOW out of warranty, BUT, the replacement part of five months prior should still be in warranty. My fridge failed the day after Thanksgiving and five days after the fact, the service tech will be at my house again.Worst part of this is I took an entire day off work expecting the service tech to come between 8-12 as told to me by the whirlpool customer service rep and guess what? The company called at 1000 and said they only do appointments in my area in the evenings. I was furious; again another day of employment missed at the hands of Whirlpool. I am not confident that the same part that was replaced in May is defective and I may be going through spouts of an inoperable fridge again and again. Whirlpool really needs to take a hard look at recalling these fridges OR providing quality appliances for the money that we pay. I had GE appliances in my old house and NEVER had issues with the refrigerator. My new builder choose whirlpool and made the wrong choice! I just want a refrigerator that will work operate for the $2100.00 that I paid. I will NEVER recommend whirlpool appliances to anyone... Never!!!

I used their website to schedule an appointment for an estimate for a repair on my oven. I was never told they were sending an independent contractor to do the repair nor that there would be a charge for the estimate. I contacted Whirlpool and was told there is nothing on their website and I should have asked the service technician before he was at my door if there would be a charge. Therefore, it was my fault and I indeed had to pay the charge when I declined to have my oven repaired. I paid an independent contractor hired by Whirlpool for $129 to give me an estimate on the repair to my oven despite never being told of such a charge prior to the appointment.

Our home came with an Asko dishwasher, theoretically a premium device though the experience was not the best. Anyways, had to replace it after a few years and decided to buy a Whirlpool under the assumption that if an Asko kind of sucks, being so expensive, it was not worth the money to spend big bucks on an expensive dishwasher. I could not have been more wrong! Bought a middle of the pack Whirlpool, I think we spend around $500. Complete junk. I had to use our Sears home warranty like 6 times. They replaced two times the computer board, all the sensors another couple of times, motor, you name it! Worst part is that all of the non essentials part that also broke off (wheels, and plastic pieces of the door) were not covered by Sears warranty so I had to end up using glue and all kind of contraptions to keep them together. Finally, when we decided to put our house in the market we replaced this junk with a Bosch. So far so good. Whirlpool actually never even washed properly, now with the Bosch we finally know what it means to have a dishwasher that really washes for real!

This Whirlpool Water heater was purchased through Lowes on March 29, 2011. This past weekend, water started leaking out of the thermostat/natural gas control located on the side of the tank. I called a plumber to take a look. He stated that a new thermostat/natural gas control was needed. Although the tank has a 12 year warranty, this item does not. Whirlpool did agree to replace the part but would charge me $30 to overnight the item which still would have taken 4 days because of a weekend. To install the item would have cost me almost $500.00.To purchase a new Rheem Water heater was $999. I chose the second choice as the first choice would have still left me with a subpar water heater obviously already out of warranty. The reason for my review is that I saw the number of complaints on the failure of this part. When I purchased this water heater, it was the better model due to the 12 year tank warranty. What use is the tank warranty when the other items dont last? There should be some type of reimbursement but Im not holding my breath. Please buy a contractor grade water heater and not the cheaper models.

Bought the Cabrio washer in March 2011. Have had the same problems as everyone else. The machine is constantly off-kilter, does not wash well due to lack of water. Sounds like a freight train when spinning. Bulky clothes dont drain properly and have to be rinsed and drained a second time. After one year of ownership, the entire control panel had to be replaced. The next year, the same control panel had to be replaced again plus a water valve had to be replaced. Thank God I bought the extended warranty. We purchased the Cabrio washer and dryer set 2 years ago (7/22/15) from Lowes and have HATED them since day one. The first wash in the washing machine left clothes dirtier than when they went in. Our clothes have never gotten truly clean. The washer has a HUGE tub which is what I liked about it so I can wash my King sized comforters. What a joke that turned out to be. The comforters only get half wet even on the deep water setting. The machine even left dark stains on my light colored comforter and ruined it. Fast forward to 2 years later and the washing machine stops spinning and fills with water clear up to the top of the tub and wont drain. I had to put the machine on the rinse and spin option to get it to drain. Tried a different setting and it worked for a few months but started doing the same thing. The washer seems to be unbalanced no matter what size load I do. I am thoroughly disgusted with this machine and wish I would have never purchased from Whirlpool. The dryer has always worked fine until recently (2 years after purchase). It quit drying the clothes and leaves everything twisted up and wrinkled, even if I take them out of the washer and shake them out before I put them in the dryer. Doesnt matter what setting I put it on, the result is the same. So now it seems as though BOTH of my machines only lasted 2 years. Im not going to bother fixing them, these will be used as target practice. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again.

The refrigerators after a year all of the LED lights have gone out, and the refrigerator make a very loud noise. I have called customers service several times. Their respond is, Sorry. It only has a 1 year warranty. The cost of the light would be over $500.00 dollar and that dont included labor. Dont even know the cost of fixing the loud noise. I just want people to be aware of Whirlpool appliances. After only 1 year of service it not going to work. Whirlpool will not fixed them. It sad we work hard to get a home and how will have to spend a fortune to get them fixed. Whirlpool you need to make better equipment. Purchased Whirlpool refrigerator model #WRF532SMBM & a new dryer on 11/14/15 from Community Appliance in Middletown, NJ. Waited 3 wks for delivery. Worst purchase ever! Very cheaply made. There is a 1 space between shelf edge & walls all the way around. Put a lb. of butter on shelf & it fell down to the bottom. There is no butter keeper which allows orders to be absorbed by open butter. No egg keeper. In the freezer, the bins are wire baskets. So far I have dropped a bag of frozen blueberries & they fell to the bottom of the freezer. In French door bottom freezers it is almost impossible to retrieve items falling through. Ice packs fall through, very poorly designed. Very loud, supposed to have a water filter in upper right corner for easy access... its not there!Called Whirlpool, waited 20 min. & all the rep could say was, So sorry youre not happy. Asked if modifications could be purchased or made... nope. Asked to speak to quality control, a supervisor, anyone that may be able to give some satisfaction. Nope. She was making notes of all my complaints so they can be passed on to engineers for future models!!! Had a rebate offer, rep transferred me to that dept... cant/ wont honor it because 1 day too late. Soon after light control circuit board had to be replaced. Next light control had to be recalibrated. Now, with the unit being approx. 1 yr old, rust spots are appearing on freezer door. Bought the model before this just over 2 years. Conveniently it broke just after the warranty expired. I chose not to buy a extended warranty as my last fridge from KitchenAid is over 20 years old and never had a single problem with and still operates like NEW. I can’t say that for my Whirlpool which was very expensive. It has been with an issue within the ice maker for over 8 months. Every computer board has been replaced twice with no fix. Then tried to replace the cooling fan within the ice maker unit seven times. Whirlpool could not find the right part, as the wiring had changed mid model and have no record of when it was changed and what models affected.Certified Whirlpool technician was great and so apologetic. I had taken 7 Mondays off to meet him to only have the wrong part time and time again. Whirlpool support tech line basically said he was wrong, yet I witnessed all visits and my 3 plug fan unit did not match Whirlpools newer part that was 2 plugs. I was not happy missing so much work because Whirlpool is incompetent. Finally my tech ordered a whole new ice maker, including the cooling fan. Lo and behold, Eighth time, parts did not match. He again called Whirlpool tech support and reordered another set one final time. Another Monday to find that this time the parts did fit, but cooling fan still did not work. He called Whirlpool tech support again. They started to trace wires one by one.Whirlpool tech support said it was a bad or broken wire somewhere in the cavity of the fridge buried in insulation and was not replaceable. In other words I have a $3000+ refrigerator that is useless. Whirlpool said they would replace the unit. But when I called, they said since I didnt have an extended warranty, they would prorate it and it’s going to cost me over $1000 of my money to to replace due to a manufacturer wiring defect after only 2 years. What the Heck, I was willing to pay to fix it, but Whirlpool can’t fix it. Don’t buy a Whirlpool product as they are Junk and do not stand behind their BRAND!!! No matter who I talked to, they kept falling back to their word track of it’s my fault I didn’t get an expensive extended warranty, yet they can’t fix a wire they installed incorrectly.Wires don’t just break after 2 years. You get longer warranties for cars for the Love of God. I asked them to just send me the money they were willing to put towards a new Whirlpool fridge, so I could buy a Real Brand that stands behind their products like KitchenAid. Of course the answer was NO. Buyer Beware, don’t buy a Whirlpool anything. Did I mention my Whirlpool certified technician was having a Whirlpool dishwasher issue that Whirlpool can’t fix and that’s his profession. Same type of response. Don’t Buy Whirlpool Products, they are Junk and you will get No support from Whirlpool!!!

I bought a model (W10632082 A) dishwasher, and the top shelf is very flimsy, the dishes and glasses do not get clean, even after I fully removing any food soil from them. The dryer does not work. The dishes come out wet and with water spots. It is very noisy, and the water cycles are programmed to run upwards to three hours!!! The basket for the silverware is designed to be hung on the door, this basket falls off easy, and you cant use the left side because the normal size of the spoons or forks, get in the way of the dish washing soap reservoir, making it difficult to close the door. Do not buy this product. Horrible!!!

Purchased both Cabrio washer (wtw6200sw2) & dyer brand new in 2007 for $1200. Within 4 years the motherboard went out. Whirlpool didnt want to fix it. They said it was past warranty. After many complaints to corporate, they sent someone out to repair it for $496 (they paid). Repairman said these models had motherboards from Japan & Whirlpool was aware of the many issues, but wouldnt do a recall. 2009, the springs went out, 2011 F codes began to appear. Clothes dont get clean; not enough water. 2014 & 2015 DU & DL codes appear. Now I need a new Lid latch assembly. These washing machines are not worth buying. Never again will I buy another Whirlpool!! My mom had an old Kenmore that lasted 20 years and only needed a replacement belt. No more fancy high end washers for me!

Worst purchase I have ever made. When I purchased this Cabrio washer in 2015, I didnt find bad reviews but how I wish I had. This washer does not clean clothes well. It has caused holes in clothing and towels. Often all the load wont even be damp even if using the deep water feature. The wash loads rarely fill more than couple of inches. Clothes come out twisted and terribly wrinkled. Sheets and blankets will be half dry and unclean. TERRIBLE APPLIANCE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Now I am stuck with a high priced washer I wouldnt even feel good about giving away. WONT FILL. RUINS CLOTHES. TANGLES LOADS. DOESNT CLEAN. DOESNT RINSE PROPERLY. DO NOT BUY!

I purchased a whirlpool under counter oven - my main reason for not buying
I purchased a whirlpool under counter oven - my main reason for not buying something cheap was the safety of my family - I chose the AKZM656 eye level oven. The stove is about two years old, but we do not use it that much. Two days ago my wife set the timer and placed a dish in for cooking; she then went outside to water the garden. About twenty minutes later she returned as something was burning- the oven reached a temperature of 350 degrees and would have burnt the whole kitchen down if she did not spot it. Now surely the oven should be designed to switch off if sensors fail? I reported this to Hirsch (Ballito) but they say they have no one servicing the Richards Bay area. I am not sure if this stove should be fixed as it is obviously not safe and makes me wonder how Whirlpool get safety standards passed on these items. Surely you expect better when buying a well-known whirlpool brand?

I bought a brand new Whirlpool washer and dryer. The Whirlpool Cabrio washer does not clean my clothes no matter what size load you have. I have tried every combination possible to get my clothes clean and 95% of the time there are clothes that don’t even get wet let alone clean! I have only owned this washer since July 22, 2018 and am now willing to give it away - that’s how upset and displeased I am with it! If you read reviews, stay away from this model - not good!

My Whirlpool range, was purchased 14 years ago. It was fine until 2 months ago. I was preparing a meal for a dinner party and the oven went from low baking into Clean mode. (This cant be done by accident, it is many step process to go into clean mode) Locking the door! When I realized what was happening I immediately turned the breaker off but we still could not open the range door. Since the oven had my potato casserole and my Teflon coated cookie sheets inside it started to emit a toxic smell choking all of us inside the house. The unit was too hot to touch so my husband and brother-in-law finally donned gloves and got the range outside. I called Whirlpool the next morning and got the run around as to what type of range it was Kenmore/Whirlpool. Whirlpool finally sent someone out to look at the range and their determination was it caught on fire and melted! The company will not do anything about the unit or all the damage it cause because the range is over 10 years old. But they did not tell me this until I had spent weeks getting estimates and gathering information for them. I TOLD THEM DURING THE INITIAL CALL THE RANGE WAS 14 YEARS OLD. I TOLD THEM THE EXACT DATE IT WAS PURCHASED. Whirlpool sent me a letter from their Claims Resolution Department saying my DISHWASHER will not be covered and misspelling my last name. I have tried to call the person ** at least 25 times and she never answers the phone, only get her voicemail. I just wanted to tell them I was a little concerned about their accuracy with the typing of the name and product..... How complete could the investigation have been if they didnt even get the product correct. The smoke/smell ruined my microwave and ceiling fan. We had to paint the ceiling, redo wallpaper and professionally clean all the carpets and drapes on my first floor (we had just remodeled our kitchen last May so this was an expensive redo not in the budget. Not to mention the cost of a new range). I will NEVER buy a Whirlpool again. And I want to spread the word about the possibility of your range having the same problem.

I bought a Whirlpool Cambrio washer/dryer set last year. I hate them. They dont get the clothes clean, let alone wet! I couldnt believe it! I put my grandsons bib in the wash and it came out completely dry with the stuck on food still there. My husbands shirts still smell like the cologne he put on! I asked a Home Depot sales person about this and he says, yeah, we hear that a lot. !!!!!!! Im going back to a washer with an agitator so that I know my clothes are being cleaned. This whole water control business is insane. Whats the point if you have to wash the clothes several times to feel like they are marginally clean? The problem is that the industry has decreased the amount of models that still have an agitator so my selection is very slim. First and LAST time I ever buy Whirlpool.

I had purchased this washer from Lowes last September and had problems almost immediately. First of all the lid would lock and hold my clothes hostage till it decided to reopen which could be days. Finally it never opened again. Called customer service and sent someone out. It took almost a month to get it back to running. 1 week for him to show up then 2 more weeks for the part to come in 1 more week for him to grace me with his presence again. Had to call again because the mother board then went. Another month. Now just out of warranty I go to wash and its dead. No lights on nothing. This machine is the biggest pile of garbage and waste of money I ever spent. Barely made it 1 year.

The drip hose had to be replaced 6 months after I purchased the refrigerator. At that time the warranty covered the part but the technician told me that Whirlpool was aware of the problem. About 5 months after the warranty expired, the same problem again - ice built up on bottom of freezer and water leaking out from the left side leaving a puddle on the floor. I called Whirlpool and they said warranty is expired. I tried to tell them about the defective part but to no avail. Had to pay to have drip hose replaced again. One year after that the main CPU board went and had to be replaced ($350.00). I sent the part back to Whirlpool, registered mail, hoping they would respond with a yes, this was defective. Their response back to me was, “warranty is over.” For a main board to fail in a $1500.00 refrigerator in less than 3 years was uncalled for. Two days ago I noticed the puddle on the floor and had to call in a technician and ONCE again the drip hose had to be replaced ($160.0). He told me Whirlpool is well aware of the problem and there is a Service Pointer out on it and the code is S38211. Thanks for nothing Whirlpool. The refrigerator was a lemon and you did nothing about it. I wish I would have read these reviews first. No more Whirlpool products for me! PS. I was a dedicated fan of Whirlpool for 40 years!

So here comes the new one - same exact washer. Not only did it not clean well (normal soiling) then it goes to ul which means not balanced... not because clothes arent but because the thing that balances - it went only after a yr!! It would also keep filling draining again to no drain leaving clothes SOPPING wet... So very disappointed to say the least. What a piece of junk this washer is!! I have had this machine (Indesit IWDE126 Washer/Dryer) for a very short time; the washer is great. It does a 20 minute daily wash which is good however the dryer part screws up everything you put into it and ironing, even with steam, makes no difference at all. The WORST part is the organisation DONT CARE. I wrote to the Chief Executive, Jeff Fettig, who neither acknowledged my complaint or responded to it. I made this complaint in October 2016 and STILL do not know what the outcome is. If you are reading this review I honestly would look elsewhere for a better machine. Try MIELE. 19 gallon Electric Whirlpool water heater Model #e1f20us015v - Purchased this water heater from Lowes to provide hot water to small apartment with no kitchen for my son, built in my garage. Had unit professionally installed within 1 foot of bath to provide hot water for shower and sink in bath only. Hot water lasts only 5 to 6 minutes and takes approx. 2 hours to recover. My son cannot even take a normal shower! ntacted Lowes who was unable to help and told me to contact Whirlpool. Contacted Whirlpool after my model number would not even come up on their website. I asked tech what was the normal expected amount of time before hot water depleted. She did not know. I asked what was the normal recovery rate. She did not know. I asked for information on the energy rating. She said there was no information available. I asked how I could receive a refund. She said that they could only send a plumber to check unit and that nothing would be done if it was heating water. I asked to speak with a supervisor. She said none were available and said one would call me. I never received a return call. VERY DISSATISFIED with Whirlpool on this issue. It appears my only recourse is to purchase a new water heater and scrap the present one.

We purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator on January 18th. It has never worked since it was delivered. A service call was place the next day. It is now 2 and half months and 6 technician visits later and the fridge is still not working. Whirlpool customer service has been contacted and they want to continue sending technicians out rather than replace the fridge. The customer service manager, Demetrius, stated the additional service calls are not costing Whirlpool more money because the repair company has 90 days to fix the problem so they are not going to replace the fridge. While this may be fine for Whirlpool it is certainly not good customer service. We were told they cant call the service company to get the details of prior visits and that we need to call the service company as there is nothing Whirlpool customer service can do but schedule technician visits. After a lot of aggravation, losing hundreds of dollars of food and hours on the phone here we are without a working fridge. Buyer beware!

We’ve had problems with our fridge where after we had it for about 2 months a crack formed on the inside, the repairman came and put a piece of tape, tape on a new fridge I wasn’t happy. Then we had our stove for about a month and the front right element went it was replaced but to this day it works when it wants to and I brought this to the repairmans attention when he came to replace an element in the oven and he didn’t even offer to take a look at it. We called Whirlpool on the 27th of December to get service on the oven and was told nobody could get here until the 2nd of January. This ruined New Years Eve Plans, New Years Day Plans and our turkey which should have taken a max 5 hours on Christmas Day took 11 hours putting our dinner off until 8:00 pm. We purchased the extended warranty ($700.00) to protect us from high bills for repair and this oven issue ended up costing us about $800.00 for meals out. I asked at the time of my call if there was some kind of rebate to cover our meals and the inconvenience over the holidays and they told me no, that’s pretty bad for such a huge company. Our dishwasher which is also Whirlpool hasn’t worked since day one, we had a repairman out and all he said was, run your hot water before you use it and use Cascade, it’s no longer under warranty and there’s pieces falling off and I have to wash my dishes before I put them through the dishwasher so what’s the use of having one. We purchased all Whirlpool because of the reputation but well never buy Whirlpool again or recommend them.

The Weatherization program installed a whirlpool refrigerator in our home in October 2012. The fridge is less than 2 years old and the blower fan went out. We lost most of our food (what wouldnt keep in a cooler) and my daughters insulin spoiled. When they put this fridge in, they took our old one saying it was less efficient. Now we are stuck with a fridge that doesnt work and is out of warranty at less than 2 years old. We have left several messages for a Whirlpool representative to call us back and here we are, one week later, and no call back. This is frustrating because although the fridge we had may not have been as energy efficient, I am almost certain that it would still be working. I have never heard of a fridge that lasts less than 2 years. Also, we know that the blower fan must be a common problem because they are back-ordered approx. one month. We checked online, and called local businesses and not one place has the part available.I think we at least deserve a call back considering how stressful this has been on us. I had just spent all of my grocery money for the month, and 70% of it went bad and had to be thrown away. Money is tight for us and replacing spoiled food is not an option. Also, the insurance company denied our request to refill my daughters insulin a little early. Without proper refrigeration the insulin goes bad. The insurance doesnt replace lost or spoiled medication. Guess we get to pay for that too! Thanks so much Whirlpool! Ill be sure and highly recommend your products to my friends. (NOT GONNA HAPPEN.)

Had a Whirlpool front in loader for 15 years. Loved it! But the washing machines without the agitator on it is a laugh. What person thought up that design. What a joke on the poor unknowing people that purchased one. Im also upset at G&H Appliances for not standing by their products they sell. Found out that Lowes has a 30 day satisfaction guarantee on what they sell. Not buying from Lowes and buying a washer without on agitator on it. Was two big mistakes I made. I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator Model GB2FHDXWB07 a little over 2 years ago. The first one did not work properly within 6 hours of being turned on. Every few minutes it sounded like the compressor was trying to kick on so it hummed then shut off. Best Buy wanted to fix it but after much arguing with them and Whirlpool they brought me a new refrigerator. Now, the same thing is happening. Best Buy has no record of me purchasing it and Whirlpool has no record of me registering the warranty, which would be outdated anyway (over 1 measly year). So, they offered me a Repair and one year warranty $329.95 which means Im now up to about $1500 for a basic refrigerator that has not even lasted 2 1/2 years. The other option to fix it is to pay a local company $90 for the trip and diagnosis plus parts and labor. That will be around $550 depending on how fast the technician works. I will never buy another Whirlpool anything. My washer and dryer also have had problems but I wont even go into that here. The one good thing is the poor girl who took my call was very nice and acted as if this is a regular occurrence. Good luck if you buy a Whirlpool. They are garbage.

Burners always needed replacing and now do not work anymore - Whirlpool range looks nice, but very expensive to maintain. The burners constantly needed replacing, they do not heat up. I got a repair technician to look at it. He replaced the parts that the burners hook into. Now they do not heat up at all. Well, one of four barely boils water. The oven still works, oh great. The thing is only 7 years old. I have had ovens that lasted 20+ years at my dads house or 15 years at another house I lived in. With all the negative comments and the repair guy who tried to fix it, I think it is time to get the kids Easy-Bake Ovens out of the storage or buy a new range. Obviously, it will not be a Whirlpool. So many negative comments people left, my useless top burners seem mild comparatively.

We have had this Cabrio washer/dryer pair for 8 years now. I didnt want to buy a front loader at the time since they were relatively new and was afraid to roll the dice. We saw the ads for this pair, the washer was the largest top loader at the time and didnt have the agitator (which I liked) so we bought them from Best Buy. I purchased the extended service plan (thank God) because we started having issues within the first month. First was the dryer, it was making a funny squeaking noise. We called to have it looked at and the tech said the drum was out of round. He ordered a new one and it showed up almost oblong. Returned it and got a second (same thing). We straightened it out and put it in. Two weeks later the control panel went out. Repaired it. Then the washer started. In the first 3 years of owning these we had called to repair the washer 4 times and the dryer 4 times. We could have got them replaced after the 5th call. Of course we had replaced all the faulty stuff and the pair settled down for 2 years. Now I have had to repair the washers control panel myself, the dryer sounds like it is coming apart and sometimes runs for hours, and now the washer cant wash in any cycle but delicate because the drum bangs around and cant self balance any more. What junk!!! I know people that have purchased low end machines and have had no issues for decades, maybe a random belt or something simple. I wouldnt buy another Whirlpool set if they were the last manufacturer on the planet. They should be ashamed that they didnt recall these things for all the problems they had.

Whirlpool Gold (Model No. GX5FHDXVY04), expensive French-Door style refrigerator , with bottom freezer pull-out drawer, purchased in 2010, has drain line that repeatedly blocks, causing frozen sheet of water on bottom of freezer and consequent leaking of water onto wood flooring (ruining said flooring). To add insult to injury, 5-year extended repair warranty I purchased specifically EXCLUDES drain lines, leading me to believe that this is a well-known problem that is costly to repair which is true because the drain line and pan on this particular model is nigh impossible to access without upending the unit (two people required) and accessing the bottom panel of the unit. This appears to me to be a design defect that Whirlpool should correct -- at its expense, not mine. I am currently reviewing possible courses of action, to include, but not limited to, BBB complaint and litigation.

We researched and found many people were having issues with the bearings going bad. My husband was going to order parts to fix it but you have to have a special tool that is expensive to buy... Everything must be sorted into the smallest loads possible and even then the clothes dont clean because they beehive into a ball and do not agitate. Technician says the machine cannot be fixed and simply recommends it be trashed (it is 1 1/2 years old). Technician recommends going back to front loaders where at least the clothes agitate. Called Whirlpool for help and was told all system are down...duhhhh. Call back in an hour and Good Luck.

I purchased a new Whirlpool stainless steel French door refrigerator MSRP for $2,500 in good faith. If something were to go wrong with the appliance, Whirlpool would fix the unit as applicable under their accompanying written Whirlpool Corporation Major Appliance Warranty for the duration of one (1) year from date of purchase. However, this has not turned out to be the case at all. As per their written Whirlpool Corporation Major Appliance Warranty for one (1) year from the date of purchase, when this major appliance is operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the product, Whirlpool Corporation will pay for factory specified parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship that existed when this major appliance was purchased. Service must be provided by a Whirlpool designated service company. My refrigerator was purchased on 10/27 and delivered on 10/28. Service repair performed by a Whirlpool designated service company was on 11/30, 12/30, 1/9, 1/18, 2/9, and 2/23. A future appointment was scheduled for 3/22. Whirlpool’s designated service company notes from 2/9 specifically state that the refrigerator will not run and parts were ordered. Whirlpool’s designated service company returned on 2/23 for parts installation and noticed that other components of the appliance were not functioning properly and proceeded to call the tech line for support. After hours of troubleshooting and multiple failures to function properly, the service company deemed the refrigerator as un-repairable and clearly stated in their notes that the unit was not cooling, there is a manufacturing defect, restriction in the units seal system, and the unit needs to be replaced. I was instructed that the tech line would complete the ticket, send the information over to Whirlpool Corporation, and I would need to follow up with Whirlpool’s customer service to set up the delivery of a replacement and haul away of the non-working defective refrigerator.Furthermore, the company (manager Wanda at the TN office), had already promised to replace this unit if the service repair performed on 12/30 did not fix the unit, which the company has never honored and has since decided to recuse themselves of this promise made on behalf of their employee. In addition, this Whirlpool manger (Wanda at the TN office) even gave me her direct phone number and extension to follow up with her. She has never answered any of my 10 phone calls over a period of 3 weeks and never attempted to return a single voicemail that I left for her. Since the promise of a replacement refrigerator, I contacted Whirlpool by phone on the following dates: 12/30, 1/3 and 1/16; 1/17, 1/19, and 1/30; 2/20, 2/24, and 2/28; 3/2, 3/9, and 3/13; and 3/15, 3/16, and 3/19. I as well have emailed them information they have requested on 2/20, 2/24, and 2/28.Below is verbatim of the last few Whirlpool customer service representatives that I have had correspondences with.2/28 (Tabitha): I have sent in your information for the PEX (replacement unit) since I see here that your unit is un-repairable. Someone will continue to contact you within 24 to 48 hours to go over the PEX process with you.3/2 (Brittany): I see we received your file on March 1st; however, it was denied because the request was blank. Can I place you on hold on a moment? (After a long pause) I apologize for leaving you on hold so long. Your records were listed under two different accounts on our end with one being linked by your phone number and another being linked by your address; therefore, all of your records have probably not been viewable. Upon further review of your information, our Whirlpool designated service company that performed service on 2/23 will have to call into the tech line to complete their notes before we can proceed. No, you cannot speak to a manager. If you wish to have a manager contact you, one will do so within 24-48 hours. You cannot speak to a manager because at this time there is nothing they can do to assist you; unfortunately, this process is moving along at its fastest place and there is nothing more we can do for you at the moment. There is nothing that we can accept from you to speed this process along, even though your copy of the service company’s receipts include the statements of work from our designated service company. If you wish to escalate this matter, you can write to Whirlpool Customer Relations Department at 553 Denson Road.3/9 (Kia, supervisor): Although our designated service company may deem your unit un-repairable, Whirlpool has to deem your unit un-repairable for a replacement to be issued. At this time, Whirlpool does not deem your unit un-repairable. You will need to contact our designated service company and have them forward over your information. I am the highest level of supervision for the company and if you wish to escalate this, you can write to Whirlpool Customer Relations Department. Their mailing address was already provided to you previously. At this point, our conversation is over. We will not be replacing the product as we do not determine it to be un-repairable. Thank you for calling Whirlpool. The information we have discussed will be documented. I am the highest level of management for the company, so your request to be transferred to management is denied. I am aware of everything you have said and I have documented this information. At this time, I am done discussing this with you and will now hang up the line. This kind of customer service is not only discourteous, but it is despicable in the upmost matter. This displays complete corruption in regards to the written warranties provided by Whirlpool Corporation that come with your Whirlpool product at the time of purchase. Currently as it stands on 3/20, my $2,500 valued Whirlpool refrigerator is just under (5) months of the purchase date and has been deemed as having a significant manufacturing defect, as well as needing replacement by Whirlpool’s designated service company that they hold a contract with. Yet, Whirlpool refuses to replace the unit and refuses to speak with me based on the ground that only their contractactually designated service company deems the refrigerator as un-repairable, but they do not. My refrigerator has not worked in weeks! From reading the Whirlpool appliance product reviews online, I discovered that I am by far not the only consumer that has suffered from victimization on behalf of Whirlpool Corporation. I saw numerous consumers who had purchased the exact same product (matching model number) as me, had issues, and Whirlpool refused to assist them. Therefore, I think that we as consumers need to take a stance to stop these unethical practices of Whirlpool Corporation and demand that they honor their written warranty for their products. This company’s abuse and neglect of their consumers is absurd.

In March 04 2014, I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine. After having had a Whirlpool for 17 years without any problems with it, I purchased another one. This last one is a piece of junk. I dont even want to talk about the noise, I think it is expiring or on its last leg. They should fire the engineers that invented this model and bring back the other engineers that invented the one I had for such a long time, they far surpassed these space scientists that they now have. On August 8, I called Whirlpool, they sent me someone from Dinos appliances. This man tells me that there is nothing wrong with this machine and that he re-calibrated it. Whatever that means, it is still not wringing the clothes properly. There are only 2 people in my household, so my loads are not very large. I even tried this Drain & Spin cycle after the wash was completed and the clothes still came out too wet. I also have a Whirlpool Dryer and I will not replace it with the same brand. I also will never buy a Whirlpool product again and will make sure that I will share my experience with everyone I know.

We purchased our Whirlpool french door refrigerator with bottom freezer, model number WRF990SLAM02, from Lowes in August 2013. In November 2013 we noticed a pool of water on the floor, resulting from what looked like a leak coming from the ice maker. After contacting customer service, they sent a repair company to service the fridge. This rep stayed no longer than 5 minutes and barely looked at the appliance. He said this is a known issue by the company, they have since implemented a fix in the newer models, and it just needed one replacement part and would be good as new. It did NOT fix the problem, it continued to worsen to the point where the freezer is no longer working. I have a freezer full of defrosted food that is not safe to eat. Whirlpool finally agreed (after 3 months) to send another repair company to look at the fridge. This rep took over an hour thoroughly examining the appliance and concluded that it could not be repaired and would need to be replaced; otherwise, we could expect the same issue to keep recurring. Whirlpool did agree to replace the fridge, but has not been able to provide a timeframe. I was contacted by a representative from the product replacement line named Alisha, but she has never answered her phone I have returned her calls. I finally got a representative on the line who informed me I need to wait until I get a call letting me know the replacement product is in-stock. That was 3 weeks ago, and this morning I woke up to a huge water leak coming from the fridge. Whirlpool has deflected the issue off to Lowes, where I purchased it, and said they will have no further contact with me regarding the appliance. I will NEVER purchase another product from this company again. They seemingly left a faulty product on the market and failed to inform me about the known issue. Then they failed to quickly provide needed repair or replacement in a timely manner. They also refuse to reimburse me for the food loss, which would not have ever occurred had they handled the issue appropriately from the beginning. TERRIBLE company.

I apparently am one of the lucky ones to have an electric water heater. My unit started giving me failure codes during the Christmas holidays. Each time it would fail, I would get a different failure code indicating the upper element, the lower element, and a sensor failure. After testing all 3 of these components, it was determined to be a controller issue. After speaking with Chris on the phone, he overnighted a new controller to me. I installed the new controller and had no more failures. Hot showers for New Years! Thank you Chris.

My whirlpool Cabrio washer top load had the rust problems, bearing problems, support arms replaced along with the complete drive assembly motor bearings and all the parts. My bearings have failed 3 times since 2009. This machine is junk. Customer service at Whirlpool is a joke. They treat you as if you have had to do something wrong. Finally I spoke with a salesman who said speak with the warranty company. I have the extended warranty which I advise everyone who purchases an appliance to get one. So I spoke with them and they sent me a check for a new machine. I must say our warranty company has been very helpful. So THIS IS MY WARNING TO ALL. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM WHIRLPOOL. IF YOU DO YOU DESERVE WHAT YOU GET, SORRY TO SAY... Have a great day.

We purchased our washing machine on October 12, 2011 from Lowes. Our washing machine broke on 04/19/12. We have been dealing with Whirlpool and Advanced since 04/23/12, trying to have our machine repaired. Whirlpool sent A&E out on 05/09/12. A repair person from Advanced has been to our home 3 times, and A&E has been to our home twice already. Advanced came to our house on 04/23/12, 05/07/12 and 05/09/12. A&E came to our house on 05/09/12, and again today, 05/11/12.Finally the repair person from A&E said he needed to order parts which are supposed to be shipped to our house. At this point in time we have very little faith that Whirlpool or A&E will do the right thing and repair our machine. We do not understand how a company like Whirlpool keeps getting away with horrible customer service. Whirlpool is the only company we have found where you cannot get in touch with someone who can resolve your problem. Whirlpool told me today that since a repair person is already trying to resolve our problem, we have no choice but to wait until they repair it.

I paid ~$1200 for a new Whirlpool (French door top fridge and pull out freezer bottom) 7 years ago when I bought my house. I was so excited - and the appliance has been a problem from the beginning. It has always made a very loud knocking noise - even when it was new. I was told by the technician there was nothing he could do and Home Depot wouldnt help me with it either. My freezer has gone out three times - the last time was the day before Christmas Eve 2016 (a few days ago). I lost everything for my Christmas dinner that was in my fridge because that went first. Then when the service man came today, I was told it was the freezer that is causing the problem and everything had to be defrosted - plus they had to order a part that would take 3 to 5 days - so Im now going to lose everything in my freezer as well. All in all with the three service calls and the food I have lost probably amounts to around $800 - $900. I am so upset and cannot get any help from anyone. So, Im just warning you - NEVER buy a Whirlpool!

Bought a home with a Whirlpool WRF540CWBM01 french door refrigerator circa Oct 2016. The unit stopped freezing/cooling and the appliance guy replaced a relay and this did not help. I called Whirlpool to check on the warranty, only 1 year. Then, I called the extended warranty and they wanted $342 for 1 year and $567 for 3 year but wanted 60 days before this would go into effect. Hmm, wait 2 months w/out a working fridge, great idea. So, after 2 short years the compressor failed and nobody will attempt this job and cost is too high. Had to buy a new GE fridge w/ a 5-year parts/labor covering this type of issue. Whirlpool needs to fix these issues. Very disappointed.

We purchased our oven new in a package deal with the rest of our kitchen appliances four years ago. The bottom heating element in the oven has already stopped working. Every oven I have seen in my life has lasted a minimum of 15 years, and most 20. All I can say is DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCES! In the past 4 years, weve had the repair technician work on the Whirlpool refrigerator (once), dishwasher (3 times), and microwave (3 times). Now, the stove isnt working correctly, making this a total of 8 home visits by the Whirlpool repairman. Whirlpool is manufacturing trash for the landfill now, not quality lasting appliances.

Im starting to learn the warning signals: open door and then a short time later the microwave would die a sudden death. In my 20s I purchased for my house in Boca Raton Fl all Whirlpool products... they worked forever. Now not so much. In order to get this one fixed again, I had to get a service contract for $300 which would be cheaper than getting it fixed again, heating element $400 and service call another $100. Serious $300 service contract money too much for a senior citizen. Never will I buy another Whirlpool product as a result.

The technician came and said my ventilation system was the problem and didnt even touch the unit. He then sent a report to Whirlpool that the unit was flooded which voided my warranty. I have used Kenmore products for about 50 years, so when it came time to replace my old washer I looked at Kenmore/Whirlpool. I upgraded to the top of the line. I had been warned by 2 service techs (2 different companies) that had tried to keep my old Kenmore alive that the new ones are not up to par compared to the old ones. The first very small load that I tried, was not even thoroughly wet when I took it out to put in the dryer. 1st service call, tech suggested that I put machine on extra water. That helped sort of. A few weeks later, wash is not getting clean. Called Whirlpool, they suggested getting the washer cleaner and clean the washer. Went out and bought a special cleaner, $10-12 and two cleanings later using the extra water and extra wash water I now was getting cleaner clothes. They said I would need to clean the washer every 2 to 4 weeks. I have continued to use washer but frequently have to rewash about 1 in every 5 to 10 loads as it doesnt always clean everything in the load. Called the Co., they sent service out, they said its OK!In Jan. We went out of town for 2 weeks. The washer had not been used for 4 days before we left. Came home to water all over the floor which are hardwood. Needless to say our hardwood is all warped! Service came out, ran the washer for about 15 min. and said it was fine, nothing wrong! Called Whirlpool again! Washer is now out of warranty. They said call a local service, out of their hands as it is out of warranty! Nothing more than they can do.I have used Kenmore/Whirlpool Appliances all my life and they have been wonderful. The new ones are garbage as far as I can tell. I have a Refer that is now 3-4 years old and I have had problems with that, a new dishwasher that is 2ish and have had service out on that one, now my brand new washer top of the line and it is so bad I am afraid to use it unless I am sitting right in front of it watching it! Further if you have the rinse cycle on the clothes come out so wrinkled that you need to get out your iron out and iron everything including sheets and linens. Lucky that I did not replace my old dryer! Do I recommend Whirlpool anymore? Not on your life. I wish I knew what to replace them with!

We've had a of Whirlpool washer and dryer for well over 8 years now. The only thing we've had done to it during that time was to give it a "tune up". That was done by a friend and only took a half hour or so. I don't know exactly what he did to it but the "tune up" didn't require any parts. In fact, when my friend was finished with his version of a tune up, it was as if it were turbo-charged and our clothes came out cleaner than ever. The washer runs quietly, as far as washers go, and the capacity, washing options, etc. are perfect for a washer that gets a ton of usage.

Nothing on control panel (computer). Didnt call for service tech as this machine has been crap since I bought it. Tried to return it but couldnt after I first used it. It would only give hot water on 2 cycles and that was on bulk or delicate. The regular cycle would only give warm but actually it was cold. Not enough water for 6 pieces of small clothes on regular. More water on delicate. Didnt wash very well. Clothes were not really as clean as they should have been. I used to only buy Whirlpool appliances but have now switched.
