Very sad appliance company. I purchased a Standard Pacific Home in June 30, 2015 and moved in Aug 1, 2015. Use my Whirlpool Dishwasher for the first time back in Oct and it was not working properly. Whirlpool scheduled an appointment with Accord Appliance in Temecula Ca and the company was a no show. Called Whirlpool back and Rep Emma was very rude and had to call supervisor to schedule another appointment to repair dishwasher. Whirlpool have sad employees and sad appliance.

Bought the model before this just over 2 years. Conveniently it broke just after the warranty expired. I chose not to buy a extended warranty as my last fridge from KitchenAid is over 20 years old and never had a single problem with and still operates like NEW. I can’t say that for my Whirlpool which was very expensive. It has been with an issue within the ice maker for over 8 months. Every computer board has been replaced twice with no fix. Then tried to replace the cooling fan within the ice maker unit seven times. Whirlpool could not find the right part, as the wiring had changed mid model and have no record of when it was changed and what models affected.Certified Whirlpool technician was great and so apologetic. I had taken 7 Mondays off to meet him to only have the wrong part time and time again. Whirlpool support tech line basically said he was wrong, yet I witnessed all visits and my 3 plug fan unit did not match Whirlpools newer part that was 2 plugs. I was not happy missing so much work because Whirlpool is incompetent. Finally my tech ordered a whole new ice maker, including the cooling fan. Lo and behold, Eighth time, parts did not match. He again called Whirlpool tech support and reordered another set one final time. Another Monday to find that this time the parts did fit, but cooling fan still did not work. He called Whirlpool tech support again. They started to trace wires one by one.Whirlpool tech support said it was a bad or broken wire somewhere in the cavity of the fridge buried in insulation and was not replaceable. In other words I have a $3000+ refrigerator that is useless. Whirlpool said they would replace the unit. But when I called, they said since I didnt have an extended warranty, they would prorate it and it’s going to cost me over $1000 of my money to to replace due to a manufacturer wiring defect after only 2 years. What the Heck, I was willing to pay to fix it, but Whirlpool can’t fix it. Don’t buy a Whirlpool product as they are Junk and do not stand behind their BRAND!!! No matter who I talked to, they kept falling back to their word track of it’s my fault I didn’t get an expensive extended warranty, yet they can’t fix a wire they installed incorrectly.Wires don’t just break after 2 years. You get longer warranties for cars for the Love of God. I asked them to just send me the money they were willing to put towards a new Whirlpool fridge, so I could buy a Real Brand that stands behind their products like KitchenAid. Of course the answer was NO. Buyer Beware, don’t buy a Whirlpool anything. Did I mention my Whirlpool certified technician was having a Whirlpool dishwasher issue that Whirlpool can’t fix and that’s his profession. Same type of response. Don’t Buy Whirlpool Products, they are Junk and you will get No support from Whirlpool!!!

WRF989SDAB00 - Our house burnt down in April 2012. We purchased all Whirlpool products to be put back into our house. We had to purchase these items in November 2012 so the contractor could get them into our house because of the cabinets. We did not move into our house until the last week of December and could not use these items until then. In December of 2013, our freezer went out along with the ice maker. I had to fight for Whirlpool to pay for these repairs. They kept saying that it was over the one year warranty. They did accept responsibility and paid for A&E to come look at the frig. One guy came out the first time and thought he fixed it. No. A month later two guys came out. They said it was the condenser. They ordered the parts and came back a third time to replace it. A month and a half later, same problem. A&E came out a fourth time and thought they fixed it again. Nope. During this period, I purchased a extended service plan. I AM TELLING EVERYONE TO DO THIS NOW BECAUSE IT TAKES 60 DAYS FOR THIS PLAN TO TAKE EFFECT. Now the service plan people sent a different company out and he said it is going to cost a lot of money because the things that need to be replaced. The plan SHOULD cover all of this. I called both the service company and Whirlpool demanding that they send us a replacement frig. I believe sending someone out at least SIX TIMES to fix the same problem is ridiculous. Each company is blaming the other and each is saying its the others responsibility to replace the frig.

We purchased our Whirlpool Front Loading HE Washing Machine a year and ten months ago from Future Shop, and now it has failed. After paying about $100 for a service call, we were told we need to order a motor control board that will cost an additional $397 plus tax, plus installation. Because it is off warranty, this means my $1030 washing machine that is less than two years old will cost me about $680 to repair! My parents old top loading washing machine still works after 30 years. And now I notice that so many other people have had the exact same problem. Why hasnt Whirlpool fixed this issue? This is criminal! What on earth is going on here? I was under the impression that Whirlpool was a top-notch brand.

Whirlpool is an absolutely terrible company. I bought a stove and a microwave. The stoves lower drawer would fall off its track every time I opened it because it only had a single track at the front instead of one that went to the back to keep it stable. It scratched my baseboards horribly and was a huge pain. When I called to complain, they said they had no record of such a problem and were completely useless, despite the fact that the store I got it from acknowledged having the same problem and said that Whirlpool came out to fix it for them. Maybe Whirlpool only helps corporate customers so they can keep fooling people into buying their unbelievably ** products. The plastic casing around the microwave door handles started cracking (first the bottom cracked and a large piece fell off and now the second is cracking). I called to complain and was informed that because this was happening over a year after purchase (the microwave is 1 year and 2 months old) they couldnt do anything about it. The last time I checked, appliances are meant to last longer than a year before they literally fall apart. What a joke. I will never buy Whirlpool again and I will make a point of telling every single person I ever know whos buying a home to avoid their products as well. What an epic fail.

I am writing this complaint because of the very poor service of Whirlpool. My washing machine broke after 1 year of use. Luckily, I was on my 2-year insurance. The wiring fully collapsed and I needed to change the whole drum. I called Whirlpools customer service and they said that they would fix the problem after 2 weeks. They came on the day and found out the problem and ordered a new drum. They said they would fix it up on the 5th of December, and it has already been over 3 weeks. On the 4th of December, Whirlpool called me and said that the item they had ordered for me has been damaged. I am not satisfied by these products because it is only a drum (it cant break that easily). I cannot recommend this company to my friends and family due to the quality of the products and the poor customer service as I was waiting on the phone for almost an hour trying to get through.

We moved into our new condo a few months ago and my wife noticed that the knobs and front of our new Whirlpool Stove were getting too hot to touch so we called Whirlpool and since then never used stove. Was over one year old, we had to call their factor service representative. The charge was $98 plus labor $90 to tell us that even though the surfaces were way too hot to touch and dangerous to touch they were still within the factory specs of 167 degrees for the knobs, 152 degrees for the drawer, and 172 degrees for the front glass. He found the front of the unit reached 152 degrees which was hot enough to cause a serious burn when the stove was only set to 400 degrees. Why would a company set specs that will cause serious injuries? If my wife or grandchildren get burned by this crappy stove Whirlpool will be hearing from my lawyer. Stay away from any Aquaclean Whirlpool stove.

I purchased this microwave in September 2010. It was installed in a vacation home, so it has actually been used for less than one year. It has now stopped heating food for the fourth time. The previous problems miraculously fixed themselves after flipping the fuse for a few minutes. I guess I should have been suspicious at that point, but I figured maybe I had overheated something. But this time, the problem has not corrected itself. The Whirlpool representative that I spoke to, while very polite and personable, only scheduled a service call that will cost me $89.95 PLUS parts and labor. I asked her if other people had reported this same problem, since it had happened to me several times. She told me NO. I decided to do some research myself (yes, I know; I should have done this BEFORE I spent $578 on a worthless product) and found that many others have had the same problem, and that this is obviously a defect in the design of this unit. Unfortunately, I purchased the entire Whirlpool package because of a special rebate available at the time. Now, I am wondering if my other appliances will begin to break down in the near future. After reading about the experiences of others, I am calling to cancel the service visit. I will be removing the microwave from my kitchen and purchasing a new one. Whirlpool has lost a customer. I will NEVER purchase a Whirlpool product again.

Purchased this oven in September 2012. Three months in, we tried to use the self-cleaning feature and blew a thermal link (guessing terminology). Tech came out and got the oven open and that was his determination. Also said he would replace both the front and the rear one because it was pretty common that if one was bad the other would probably follow. Said hed have it within a because he had to order it from the factory. I called a week later because no revisit had been scheduled and found out that the factory also did not have the part and was sending me a new unit. Whirlpool was supposed to call and tell me that and did not. It would be another week. Then a few more days for them to come out and replace it and pick up the original unit. Now I have brand new unit again so we tried the self-cleaner. Same issue. To make a long story short I called again this morning and scheduled yet another service call because the oven is inoperable again after running the self-cleaner. This is the 4th time with the replacement oven. They have replaced the thermal units several times and have replaced the fan.Fortunately, when I complained vehemently about the original unit, Whirlpool gave me a one year extended warranty on the replacement so I am still under warranty, which, if youre dumb enough to buy a Whirlpool after reading this, I would advise paying for. If you already have one and are having similar issues, call Whirlpool and insist they give you one for free because they sell junk. This time I told the nice customer service lady that, since the holidays are over and I can get by without the oven, I am going to run the self-clean right after the tech leaves. When it blows and gets repaired again I am going to repeat the process until they refund my money or send me something that works. Whirlpool apparently doesnt care because in their agreement with their service companies they only have to pay for the first visit. After that they just supply parts. I will keep doing this until I run out of service companies in Denver. Then I am going to pay for another extended warranty when this one ends in September 2014 and continue the process.Wake up Whirlpool!! If these units fail consistently at high altitudes (which every tech that has come out here has mentioned as an issue) then fix the problem or quit selling it in these areas.

I purchased this set in November 2013, it is now October 2014. I made the same mistake as many others have made (according to the reviews that I have read on this site). Because I have owned Whirlpool brand appliances before - including washers/dryers - I assumed this new HE machine set would be every bit as good + quality. Unfortunately, I did not do my homework!Everyone is right - this Cabrio HE washer/dryer combo is nothing more than expensive JUNK!. My complaints are all the same as everyone elses: the clothes do not get clean, soap residue remains on clothes, the clothes even have parts of the articles come out of the wash cycle dry not even having had the water touch the articles in areas! The dryer has been repaired once already for a dryer sensor problem & overheating, now both the washer & dryer are making some ridiculous hum-drum noises! Even with the extended warranty that I purchased, I can see the loop holes built into it; theyve got me over a barrel with the nonsense mumble-jumble tactics of having to qualify for adequate service repairs for replacement of parts (3x on each machine) they cant find, before even attempting to negotiate a buyout that will never happen. Never again, Whirlpool anything!!!

This time there were other Whirlpool owners that also suffered with the same issue with the same model Whirlpool machine. We purchased a new Whirlpool water heater April 2013 at Lowes and every 3-4 months the pilot would go out. My husband would simply re-light the heater, I guess he didnt think it was a big deal. However, in September 2014 the water heaters pilot went out and would not re-light, so I contacted Whirlpool about the warranty. It took 4 telephone calls (two of which involved a plumber, per Whirlpools request), and several days of cold showers for an authorization code to purchase a $8 part (thermo coupler). The hassles that Whirlpool put me through, no one should have to endure. Who ever heard of a technician telling you that they have to talk to the plumber, when you call them to explain a problem with your water heater, such as, the pilot will not stay lit and the plumber said it is the coupler (I couldnt remember the whole name of the part, but surely they should have understood what was wrong). Secondly, providing a plumber (unless youre married to one) to converse with them involves more money. Now I have a plumber at my house so I call Whirlpool and this technician insists that the plumber perform a test on thermo coupler to make sure that it was faulty before she gave the authorization for a new one. Yet again, when I called to Whirlpool with the plumber, while I was voicing my problems in resolving the issue of my water heater with this technician, and she just hung-up on me. So as not to be defeated and having already invested in the expense of the plumber, I called Whirlpool again and requested a manager. The technician asked if she could help and I informed her of my previous encounters. She apologized and took my information to have a manager to call me later; however, she did give me the authorization code for the thermo coupler without delay. When I went to purchase the part, I didnt have the old part (as trade; the plumber hadnt removed it), so I paid for it out-of pocket, to return the old part later.

This washing machine was not used on a weekly basis. It perhaps washed 20 loads during the course of the year. I had many issues with the sensors before it broke down completely. Sometimes, half the clothes would be dry after the entire cycle. I was so angry that I had a local independent contractor come in and look at it. My Cabrio washing machine is 3 years old, and is working the way it has been designed to work. It does not clean clothes and it consistently has a foul odor. The extra cleaning cycles are contrary to the energy efficiency of the washer, and detrimental to the severe drought conditions in California. When I contacted Whirlpool about my situation, they recommended I substitute bleach for the Affresh to keep the cost down.

I have a microwave (Model: MH1150XMQ-0) in my summer home. The microwave gets little usage but the door has cracks in all the corners. I have two other friends with the same problem. I bought top of the line stainless steel Whirlpool kitchen appliances two years ago. Warranty has expired. Microwave error message showed need to shut door and press start. Door was shut, opened and shut door 20-30 times for microwave to start. Had to buy new Microwave. Now dishwasher now will not drain. Refrigerator ice-maker dispenser is too small and ice keeps getting stuck in dispenser. I am done with Whirlpool.

We purchased Model WTW81920758200YW0 on September 8, 2012. Its performance has been unsatisfactory, not cleaning the clothes as advertised. Not long after the warranty expired the main bearing failed, bringing a local service technician and we were left with a bill of over $300.00. Yesterday, the machine stopped in mid-cycle. The display went blank and the lid lock would not release. I called a local service company for a visit and the soonest a repairman could show up was next week.A call to a service we had used for the bearing surmised that without knowing the cause of the failure they could only guess that a circuit board was at fault. That visit would be over $300.00 with labor and materials. That was the last straw. We broke the lid lock to retrieve the contents and took a ride to buy another brand of washer. We went back to the appliance store where we purchased this machine to buy a Samsung front loader. The salesman apologized for selling the Cabrio in the first place. Good money after a bad product.

I waited years to buy this machine. I hate it!!! I agree with the other bad reviews. It destroys clothes. There is barely enough water in it to cover the bottom of the machine much less the laundry. Even deep water is a joke. It does not clean. I put it on the hottest water temp and I can put my hand in there and it is barely warm (it is not my hot water heater). My lightweight comforters come out all tacky and grungy in the middle. The softener dispenser (I use vinegar) dumps in the laundry (no it is not over full) (no I do not slam it shut). I can not let anything soak because the machine will drain after a few minutes and all my detergent, scent crystals etc. are all wasted. I feel like I have to take a survey and complete a questionnaire every time I do laundry. Can someone tell me how to put a comforter in there and leave that little middle eye open? They say the water saver is government regulated? Yup I need the government to do my laundry... I believe in saving water. I have a water saver toilet, shower, faucets. However I can not clean dirty jeans in a gallon of water. My clothes do not even get wet. How does whirlpool get away with advertising this machine can do king size comforter? The gentle cycle will tear apart anything I might put in there because there is no water and that blooming thing just twist and turns so it tears anything delicate. This is the 21st century. I think I should not have to babysit my washing machine. Why should I have to readjust everything in hopes it might be almost clean??? Place this here and that there, wipe the lint out before doing dark laundry. This machine belongs in the dark ages. It is so complicated yet it achieves nothing. A big rip off. I so tired of crying over this purchase. I hate this machine!!!

In June of 2010, I purchased a new Whirlpool Estate EED4400WQ0 dryer (serial number M01156261) with an accompanying washing machine. It has been in a clean, climate-controlled environment and gently used by my family of four for just short of two years. Last week, I began to notice that the clothes coming out of the dryer were cool and damp and it quickly became apparent that the dryer was only heating intermittently. This morning, the service person from the dealer who sold me the washer and dryer set (and a Whirlpool dishwasher a few months later) told me that contacts on the timer unit were bad and that the entire switch would have to be replaced. This is no small portion of the machine and the part alone will cost me about $150. After labor, we are looking at an expense of approximately half of the original cost of the machine - in less than two years. I called the Whirlpool’s customer service line to ask if there was anything that could be done and the answer was: Sorry, we cant do anything for you.” It is not acceptable to me for an appliance to become that expensive that fast. If Whirlpool cant do anything for me about this, then I will not be purchasing anymore Whirlpool products.

We purchased a Whirlpool water heater from Lowes in 2011. Everything was fine up until June 2015. We got the dreaded 4 flashes. We called for service to come out, that costed us around $300. December 23rd of 15 it goes out again. We called Whirlpool instead of a service company and the part was under warranty. We paid for overnight shipping but because of the holiday it was not guaranteed. We told them we are fine with Sat. delivery. In the meantime we had to cancel a holiday party scheduled at our house the 24th. We waited around all day Sat. for the part to show and nothing. We called Whirlpool to get the tracking number and we find out that the other service rep didnt mark our package for Sat. delivery. I am very close to just buying a new heater. I am trying to tell everyone I can about how horrible Whirlpool is. I feel sorry for any suckers that buy based on the name and dont do their research.

I bought the french door refrigerator Sept 2014. Recently the change filter light came on so I bought the filter. I read the instructions and then when I went to install it, the filter door would only open about 10%. I called Whirlpool and explained it was obviously a manufacturing error. They didnt care. Out of warranty. Everyone can make a mistake but when you wont own up to it and take care of it, that defines your character or lack of it. I think I will video the whole thing and put it on YouTube.

Pressing start would begin the machine again. Sometimes, we could go several loads with no problems and other times it will stop three or four times in one load. Occasionally, pressing start would not work and the machine would require unplugging and restarting. We have had several service calls in. They have said it was the pump, then it was the motor, then it was the pressure switch, and yet the problem persists. They are due to come out again tomorrow for yet another examination to determine its cause. Its the third time in one month. Its a lemon.

I purchased a house with Whirlpool products installed. The refrigerator wasnt too cold but working for the first 2 months. Then the ice maker stopped working, the freezer stopped working and now nothing works. I have been through 4 service calls, I repaired that took almost 2 hours and the refrigerator is still not working. I have spoken with numerous Whirlpool representatives and they were like robots with respect to their response. There is a chain that they adhere to and once you have spoken to an executive at their corporate office, no one else can help you. Now I am trying to reach that executive and there hasnt been a response. I havent been able to have food in my refrigerator for over 3 weeks and counting. Imagine, eating out for breakfast, lunch and dinner for this length of time. Christmas - no refrigerator, New Year - no refrigerator. A consumer who makes a purchase in good faith should not be put to this kind of agony while trying to remedy the situation. I dont know what happened to their customer service but it is nil. From my own personal experience and in my opinion, Whirlpool is not a company that cares about their customers, just their profits. I am at a loss . What are my options as a consumer?

I bought a 40-gallon hot water heater in November 2007. First problem I had with it was in 2009 when the pilot wouldnt stay lit. They sent me a requisition number to take to Lowe’s to pick up the part (igniter) and gave me a service number to give to the plumber to fix it. Plumber actually told me these heaters were junk and this wasnt the last problem Id have. Last Sunday (January 2012)--here we go again. Pilot went out and wont stay lit. Whirlpool is telling me its because I have a draft. Yeppers, that must be it because after they had me (arthritic 53-year old) and my disabled husband performing circus acts trying to relight it, then it was the filter on the bottom, then it was a draft. Last time I tried to light, which really someone as blind and disabled as me shouldnt be doing anyway, I about blew up. I hate getting ** by big corps. I filed a complaint with state Attorney General. If that doesnt work, hell, I think Ill take both Whirlpool and Lowe’s to small claims court. What do I have to lose? $35? Their fancy-schmancy lawyers will probably charge them a couple grand for their efforts. Im sick and tired of getting the short end of the stick. Since when is a hot water tank supposed to last a mere 4 years? Oh, by the way, Whirlpool says it’s all on me now--well see about that. First of all, both of these chumps just lost a customer and I Facebooked by friends about this pleasant experience plus included a link to this page. Consequences are all mine, I guess. Its pretty swell bathing in a sink full of water that you heated on the stove. I dont have any money because Im too busy giving it all to big insurance and big pharma right now. What a country!

I have a two-year-old top of the line Whirlpool Duet Steam washer. Cleaning performance is adequate at best, but my biggest complaint is about the visible mold buildup that collects on the water dispensing plate as well as on the detergent, bleach and softener dispenser and rubber lining of the washer opening. I have cleaned the removable detergent dispenser weekly since purchasing. The water dispensing plate has a continuous buildup of thick black mold that can only be removed with a tooth brush and bleach and only a small portion of those openings are reachable. I have cleaned the machine with Affresh as recommended and exactly as the manufacturer recommends. Nothing changes! I contacted Whirlpool and was told this was normal for all washers in which some moisture always remains and that I should continue to clean and leave the door and dispenser drawer open to allow the areas to air dry. So, I have done all of those things for the past year and nothing has changed! I received notification that a class action suit had been filed against Whirlpool for this mold issue but have not been contacted in any other way. Not only is this mold visibly disgusting but certainly is worrisome from a health perspective. When I contacted the company a second time, I was told there was nothing that could be done and it was in no way a design flaw on the part of Whirlpool.

I would like to know if anyone else is having trouble with the broiler unit. The unit quit working. Thankfully I had purchased the extended warranty. The guy came out, cleaned the orifice and called it good. The next day I went to use it, and guess what, it did not work!! So we thought maybe we needed to leave the oven door cracked open a bit... Well, guess what... It melted two of my knobs!! We called, got another guy out here. He checked everything. Even pulled the stove out to check out connections. Then he informs us that you can set the broiler to whatever temp you want. Thats new. So again, we try the broiler.... Guess what... It got to the temp and clicked off. Now I ask, how does one broil a steak if it does that? I did call Whirlpool directly and got nothing. Our model is WFG361LVQ2. So please, if anyone out there knows that this is how it is supposed to be... please let me know.

Four months after purchasing an $1,800 stainless French door fridge it began to not cool even though it was running. I called and was on hold for 45 minutes, then transferred to a different service company that could only come 3 days later. They were here a total of 3 times and each time they could not fix it. It would run for a few days or weeks then die again. Each time I lost a few hundred dollars in food. Each time I was on the phone for almost an hour, and each time it was days later before they would come. Whirlpool refused to refund or swap out the unit. I would have been stuck if it were not for Home Depot finally agreeing to exchange it for an LG.I have never been so upset with any companies customer service in my 45 yrs. The only reason that I am writing this is because my Sony 65 TV died the other day. It was 6 months old and I called Sony. They answered within four minutes and quickly decided to exchange it for a new one and extend my warranty for 2 additional years. There are still decent companies out there. We just remodeled our kitchen and bought a Whirlpool kitchen suite in May of 2016. The refrigerator is absolutely terrible. I have had a repairman come out and fix the same repair/problem 5 times, a sheet of ice forms beneath the vegetable drawer (We have only owned the refrigerator for 5 months). Each time the repair person has come out it costs me a day of work due to having to wait all day for the repair service that Whirlpool hires out, well be there between 9am and 4pm. This morning I decided to check to see if the sheet of ice is forming again, it is. So I call Whirlpool again.Again, I call Whirlpool and ask if I can just get a new unit; 5 repairs in 5 months on a brand new refrigerator. The reply I get from Whirlpool is always well send someone out to fix it. The unit has to be deemed irreparable or a part has to be replaced multiple times. No parts are being replaced... no one knows how to fix it. I dont understand why a large company like Whirlpool would want people to write bad reviews for their products and customer service. Im extremely irritated with how I have been treated. I just want a refrigerator that works!! DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR!!

The washer (Cabrio WTW7800XWO) was less than 2 years old and we had a motor go out, so we paid a repairman to come out and repair the machine. The total cost was over $300. Now 2 months later, we get another code on the machine and Whirlpool says, We are sorry but there is nothing we can do, but if you would like to pay $219, we can get a repairman out there to check out the machine and repair it. Theyre also giving the machine an additional year warranty. Shortly after that, I noticed the lid was not staying up when I opened to put clothes in it to wash. So since I was wondering what was happening, I looked at the lid and to my surprise, the springs that hold the door up when open are built into the plastic lid cover that has a see-through glass on it. Right where the springs are located, it must be a stress point and the plastic lid has since cracked and is almost about to break off. I am now in the process of ordering another lid and Whirlpool offered to sell me a lid for $226 but I think I shall buy it from someone else as I dont want to put any more money into Whirlpools pockets. We paid over $1000 when we bought this machine. Now it is about 2.5 years old. I hope there is a class action lawsuit on Whirlpool as I will definitely join in if there is. This company needs to go out of business if they continue to sell machines like this that have so many problems especially when they are less than 2.5 years old. Goodbye Whirlpool. You have lost many more customers as I shall be letting everyone I know about all the problems and complaints about this machine.

I bought the Whirlpool WTW 5000DW1 washer and dryer to go with it. Within the first 2 weeks the plastic handle broke on the dryer. Ive been using the corner of the plastic handle ever since to open the dryer. The washer is the worst washer I have ever purchased in my life. The tub doesnt fill up over the clothes half the time. It is perfectly balanced on the floor but it always bounces around and you cannot open it to rearrange the clothes because they lock the lid. The only option is to try to hold it and wait for it to finish or start over by pressing the button for at least 3 seconds. I have had a few items get shredded by it and a lot of times the clothes dont get cleaned and rinsed properly. Even on 2 rinse option. Just the fact that it has a 2 rinse option is a big red flag. It is supposed to be a energy saver and water saver but that isnt true. If you have to wash and rinse the clothes twice because it has spots from the detergent still on the sheets, something just isnt right. Whirlpool shouldnt even put a product like this on the market. I have owned many Whirlpool products before this but this is the last Whirlpool product I will ever buy. Obviously Whirlpool doesnt test its products or care about quality.

I bought a new Cabrio washer in August of 2011, and by December of 2011, it sounds like a jet engine when washing or spinning. It is still under warranty, but it is the same issue reported by countless others as I have discovered. Whirlpool should recall and find out what the problem is so that every consumer does not have to experience this issue.I will never buy Whirlpool again and I am going to make sure I spread the word about this machine to keep others from this experience.

I purchased the Stainless Steel, side by side with water and ice dispenser, model #WRS325FDAM04 on 11/30/16, paying over $1,600 for the refrigerator. We had trouble from the beginning with the freezer door not closing all the way. When the repairman came out, he said the entire door had to be replaced, as it was warped. Since then, one by one other items are breaking in the freezer and refrigerator. The plastic casings holding the glass shelves have broken on all three shelves in the refrigerator, the wall of the refrigerator and the freezer is cracked in several places, the ice bin has a hole in the bottom, where the device rotating the ice out broke and now when used, ice falls into the freezer, and the bins in the refrigerator have broken as well as some of the door shelves in the refrigerator and freezer.I called Whirlpool before posting a review to provide them an opportunity to at least offer to help in some way. Their response was due to so many pieces missing/damaged they would not be able to help in any way at this time. I purchased a Whirlpool product as I expected I was purchasing a quality product with quality workmanship from a reputable company. I have been sadly disappointed and will no longer support Whirlpool by purchasing any item manufactured by them and will share my experience at every opportunity.

I purchased this washer over 8 years ago and we have been using it 3 to 4 times a week/ 52 weeks a year since. It has performed flawlessly up until about a year ago when it kept given me uL error. Everytime I wash the basket always spins wobbly and unbalanced it seems. I checked the Internet and it turns out others have had the same problem. The solution was to replaced the 4 springs supporting basket and that fixed the problem. Been working ever since.

This is Whirlpool model MVWP835DC2. I bought brand new. Recently used about once a week. Got an alarm that indicated no communication to core unit. Talked to Whirlpool service and unit is out of warranty (20 months) and advised I should use authorized service company to come and diagnose. This took 2 weeks. Service man came, washer did not power up. He quoted that repairs would be $750 and not worth it, buy a new one. I went on internet and found YouTube videos that showed how to diagnose and fix. I called Whirlpool for new console, $350 and one month. Went to parts house and got part for $250. This fixed problem.I have a few problems with this machine and company. 1) This now turns out to be a known problem with these machines. The console fails. I am not sure how this is going to last 30 years. 2) Service man took nothing apart and could not diagnose problem with no power. He quoted $350 for the console and the balance for the core. He was guessing or pulling a scam. Take your choice.3) Part not available from Whirlpool because so many are failing. Thanks for making a great product.

I had a perfectly good Kenmore range, but I didnt like the color. I purchased a Whirlpool 30-inch gas range at Lowes. I had problems immediately! The repairmen were at my house 6 times within the first year. My warranty expired and they wanted me to pay for an extended warranty. I refused to pay any more for this piece of junk! I fought with Whirlpool and demanded they either replace the range or reimburse me the full cost. They finally agreed, after many heated conversations, to replace or reimburse me as long as I promised not to purchase a Whirlpool product again. What kind of company would say that? A company that knows their product is defective and has poor customer service. I opted to take the new range that they promised wouldnt have the same problems. It is having the same issues as the original one. It shuts off in the middle of cooking and it is infuriating to say the least. I can promise Whirlpool I will never purchase a product from them ever again!

We Purchased our KitchenAid refrigerator from Home Depot. After 1 week we had issues with the ice maker, water dispenser and lights going on and off randomly. Technician comes 5 days later, he half way fixes it and discovers we need to order a part. The part took over a week to get and by the time he shows up to fix the refrigerator, it has now been TWO WEEKS with out our $4,000 refrigerator not working properly. Well, after trying to replace the part and spending 45 minutes on the phone with some engineer, it still wasn’t fixed. He Says to us “hey good news youre getting a new refrigerator”. Good news my **. It’s now been THREE weeks and it turns out the new one isn’t coming for another week. We bought a gas Whirlpool Stove from Lowes. We noticed it was not heating like our last stove and thought maybe because it was new. No the stove does not heat properly at all. I cooked a pork loin for 40 minutes at 350 and it was still raw in the middle. I have had to cook everything on 375 which makes the door handles and knobs very hot. I called Lowes and they patched me into Whirlpool after a 45 minute wait. The rep from Whirlpool said, you can look at the manual and figure out how to calibrate it. No I cant. I have a warranty that is what it is suppose to cover. Then I was on hold for another 20 minutes. Really no one should tell you to read a manual to fix a gas stove. I will not buy another Whirlpool item. Poor customer service and that make you feel you are bothering them.

Purchased the 2015 Whirlpool Cabrio. Today 5-2018, the panel went completely out. When I called the store (Lowes) they asked if I purchased the warranty. I responded no, she went on to say, “Well since you choose not to purchase the warranty youre stuck”. Even if I paid for the warranty a washer should not break down in less than 3 years. My previous washer lasted 18 years with no problems. We purchased this washer because of the larger load. It was one of the most expensive washers. It’s a piece of junk and the manufacturer will not stand by their horrible product. Please DO NOT buy! I will be filing a formal complaint.

About five years ago, I purchased a top load Whirlpool Cabrio washer and matching dryer. For the past couple of years or so, this washer gets out of balance every spin cycle. It sounds like a mac truck running through my house. At this time, I do not have $300-$400 to buy a warranty when I feel that this problem is so widespread (via internet complaints) that Whirlpool should fix this problem. I replaced a perfectly working 13-year old Maytag washer simply because my dryer went out. I have contacted customer service with no results. I recommended this washer to my neighbor about a couple of years ago and now I am sorry I did. Little did I know that three years in there would have to be a repair. As you know, this isnt a bottom of the line cheap washer, therefore, I wouldnt expect it would be acting like one after this period of time. I asked Dave who at Whirlpool cared and basically, he had no answer. I told him that I would expect a company as large as Whirlpool to have people who have the job of searching the internet to see what people are saying about the company and if they did, they would know this was a problem with these washers and would initiate some sort of recall. This is such a bone of contention at my house that I wish the thing would just die so I had to go buy another (and trust me it wont be a Whirlpool). But rather, I get to listen to my washer thrust throughout my house every load I do.

We purchased our home in 5/09. Within a month, we had to replace the defective gas valve due to inefficient burning. Our house smelled like gas each time we used the oven. It was under warranty at that time so Whirlpool replaced it. It is now 5/12 and out of warranty. We called a local independent technician who informed us the oven wouldnt turn on due to another issue with the gas valve, the same one that had been replaced shortly after we moved in. He went to his local supplier to purchase the gas valve to be informed that they couldnt seem to keep this particular gas valve in stock, simply because its a reoccurring known issue and Whirlpool needed to do something about it. So, this technician encouraged me to call Whirlpool. I called the 1-800 number, spoke to 3 different people and was constantly informed that since it was out of warranty they would do absolutely nothing! Again, I was informed that this gas valve is a reoccurring known problem with Whirlpool so perhaps they should consider looking into this issue. The last person I spoke to was a bit snide and just kept saying It is past your warranty, we will do absolutely nothing to help you, and sorry you are having that problem. We are not aware of this reoccurring gas valve issue. Have a good day!” Whirlpool, do you understand your reputation is at risk when you dont want to stand behind your parts that should work after 3 years! Should a brand new part not work properly after a month? Should another service call have to be made after 3 years? Sounds like a quality issue, something Whirlpool needs to investigate especially after a local supplier states they sell this particular gas valve all the time due to a reoccurring issue.

The machine has an infinite water level setting, an agitator which I feel cleans clothes better, separate settings for water temperature for both wash and rinse cycles, and the ability to soak prior to washing by just leaving the lid up. My top loading Whirlpool washer model WTW57ESVW1 failed after just over two years. When I called my service man, he turned it on and immediately told me it was not worth fixing as the transmission was bad and this model was known for this issue. I contacted Whirlpool Corp. and the person on the phone stated she could do nothing for me. I asked for a supervisor and was told she would give me a discount on parts, but I had to find out just what part it would be before she would tell me what percentage of a discount she could give me and the service call was my responsibility. I had whirlpool microwave model # WMH32517AS-2 that came with my new home in March of 2013. In September of 2013, we noticed there were times that the microwave failed to warm the food or liquids (coffee) sometimes at all. Then we figured out that we could hear the noise it makes when it actually warms the food. So after a repair man came out and saw the issue of not warming up, he replaced many parts but within a day we experienced the same issue. Whirlpool had a different repair man come out and replace additional parts hoping it would fix the issue but unfortunately, it did not. Whirlpool said they would send another microwave to us in January of 2014 but now its April 2014 and nothing sent and I have a broken microwave in my house. Due to the length of time it has been, I had to submit this. We have also called customer service on 5 occasions (who have these call documented) and the person that was supposedly helping us and assigned to our case 7 times with no response. We have attempted to talk to a supervisor but were told that I could not, which is unusual. Its just frustrating that this is happening.

WORST EXPERIENCE USING WHIRLPOOL REFRIGERATOR. I purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator in July 2013 (Model - Whirlpool Ref New 495 CLUB IMPERIA). Suddenly it stopped working on May 12 and I registered a compliant to the customer care. Engineer came in same and I was surprised by the service, he checked and said he rectified the problem and he left. But the problem was still there and it was never rectified. I launched the complaint again on May 13 and engineer came again and said there is gas problem in Compressor and he left by saying that another engineer will come to refill the gas in compressor. Next day new engineer came in he checked everything and said this compressor is not working and needs to be replaced. I said go ahead and replace it, he said it will take 1-2 days. I said “ok lets do it.” But now theyre saying that they do not have the compressor in stock and they will change the appliance. Again as I do not have another option I said “ok lets do it.”Now the drama start: they are saying I need to pay 20% as a depreciation of the total cost of the refrigerator + INR 1000/- (Cartage) + difference of the new refrigerator which comes to around INR 21,000/-. Well can someone tell me why I need to pay this huge amount when my appliance is still in 10 years of warranty and its just compressor problem and rest of the product is just fine. After fighting with them come to a conclusion that I need pay INR 10,200/- and I will get the new appliance. Now when I already paid the DEMAND DRAFT (DD) of this amount now no one is responding to me on when I will be getting a delivery of the new Refrigerator. Only God knows when I will be getting this. In this HOT summer we are facing a lot of issues just because of their bad service. No one from Customer Care is giving me any response nor are they taking my calls now.Now can someone tell me what I should do? I am left with no option and thinking of taking a legal action against them and thinking of launching a complaint in Consumer Court against them. Please give me your suggestions and send me your response at **. If anyone from WHIRLPOOL is look into this, please help on this matter urgently and respond me back ASAP.

This is about my Whirlpool washing machine that has abruptly stopped working. My Whirlpool washing machine was bought in 2013 and was running [absolutely] great until Tuesday October 3, 2017. I called customer service and they said it was out of warranty. My Whirlpool washing machine model number is: WTW48008Q0. Serial number is: C34923747. I do not have the money to get this machine fixed. I am already a struggling mom, working hard to pay bills and I am already falling behind on most of them. I just had death in my family and now the machine dies - well there seems to be no end to all of this. I would really appreciate Whirlpools help in getting my machine up and running again. I have been a loyal Whirlpool customer over the span of more than two decades. I am a Whirlpool fan. My past machines have lasted 12 plus years on upwards to 15 years each.Let me share exactly what my washing machine is doing: I went to wash clothes as usual the other day; the machine filled up and stopped abruptly - that was it! It did not spin but instead emptied the water without washing the clothes and made some loud chitty chitty bang bang noises before it was all over. I unplugged it after wasting a lot more water thinking that it might just suddenly start working. It did not start working again, it just continued its non-working status. My family has bought Whirlpool washing machines and dryers for years from Sears; we were totally satisfied with the products we purchased, however, this washing machine did not make the five year mark. I really do not know what is going on with the machine; what I do know is this - it stopped working and I would like to get it working again. Hopefully it is not defective by design. #WhirlpoolWasherDefectiveByDesign. I found Whirlpool washing machines to be very reliable and would love to continue my great relationship with Whirlpool.

Bought a Whirlpool French Door, Bottom freezer mount appliance from Lowes in Jan 2014. Model WRF990SLAM00. Jan 2015 the freezer part stopped working. Whirlpool approved repairman came and knew exactly the problem because he was aware of this being a consistent issue with Whirlpools. He contacted Whirlpool and they quickly agreed to send repair kit for FREE. Took 2 wks for parts to arrive, and neglected to send along required tool/gauges for repair to occur. I called Whirlpool C.S. and they claimed they knew nothing and said our fridge was on no problem list. I had repairman call Whirlpool and they claimed appropriate tool/gauges are no longer available! This fridge is only 1 year old!!! Now we are completely ignored. Whirlpool will not even talk to us about help of any kind. HORRIBLE customer service!!! Crappy appliance! Mine came new with the home I purchased 3 years ago and so far I have had no problems at all. The only drawback is that if it is on, you can hardly tell it is running so if you forget you might interrupt the wash cycle unintentionally. It does an excellent job on dishes and the stainless steel front is easy to keep clean since there are no mechanical knobs or switches, you can just wipe it down and be done in less than a minute.
