My Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling just after a year. I had to buy a $319 warranty. It was fixed, but broke several months later. The repairman said he would try to stop the leak and it worked for a couple more months. The refrigerator was obviously irreparable and we should have had it replaced by Whirlpool at this point. Now, that it broke again (stopped cooling and freezing) the repair service is giving us the runaround. Its over a week and they wanted us to call a repair service and they would reimburse them. The repair service and Whirlwind know about this problem, but refuse to acknowledge it and are getting away with it. With all the comments Im reading here, there should definitely be a recall. Id like to know what it takes to have one authorized.

Whirlpool anode rod went bad in 2 months. Called Whirlpool, would not stand behind warranty. Had previous hot water tank (not a Whirlpool) in for 10 years with same well and water conditions. Also noticed Whirlpool hot water tank is not nearly as efficient on energy use. Overall, this is a very poor water heater and even worse customer service to not replace a part that was under warranty.

We just purchased a new fridge - September 2021 -- Whirlpool side by side. Why is just okay? It is a loud refrigerator. A roaring sound is pretty constant. The ice tray in the door has no recessed tray ... so water and melting ice just follow down the front of the door and onto the floor. Two days after purchase we went back to Lowes to return this fridge ... but all the other refrigerators do not have a recessed ice tray. And since they are not plugged in ... who knows if they roar.

Whirlpool is dead to me now, and forever and I love to tell my story to prospective buyers of their products!!! After reading some reviews… Im (sorry, I omitted the personal insults) in respect of your review guidelines.

I bought a 3 burner glass hob under your built-in cooktop category (model no. AKCG 930-90 cm) in Nov. 2015 from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. In the month of April 2015 I started having problems with the medium burner. The problems was rectified on 29-4-2017 after some replacements that cost me Rs. 5000. After two months again the same problem occurred, the medium burner was not igniting again, I registered a complaint on 5-7-2017, the representative came and did some maintenance and left but the same problem resurfaced after a few days.I was fed up of complaining and started using the burner during necessity by placing a weight on top of the knob. Finally on 15th Feb 2018 while I was using the stove the glass top cracked into pieces. My experience of the companys built-in cooktop is horrible and bitter. Every time I registered a complaint the representatives used to attend the complaint after 2 weeks and that too after so many phone calls. I am really dissatisfied with the service and quality of the product. I therefore strongly recommend customers not to buy this product.

I purchased the Whirlpool Cabrio, Model no. WTW5640XW2, on March 3, 2012. I have tried every setting and water temperature and am totally dissatisfied with the washer. It does not clean clothes, tangles them into a twisted mess which requires that they be vigorously shaken out, destroys anything with a draw string. I had an online chat with a representative and was told she was sorry. I posted to Facebook and did receive a call from a repairman, which I will return; however, I do not anticipate receiving any satisfaction. The machine is worthless for washing clothes. I was better off with my 12-year old agitator Whirlpool washer. I do not understand how this machine can be allowed to stay on the market. Id be better off at the river beating my clothes against rocks. I hope someone will get on Whirlpool to give consumer refunds. I have been brought to tears by this machine and I am one tough cookie. Please help!

My complaint is basically the same as all the others. Clothes do not come clean in my brand new Whirlpool washer. Ive had two other Whirlpools, and they were fine. This one, however, is a piece of junk. One of the main problems is that the washer is designed to use only lukewarm water, even on the hot setting, it does not use hot water. Another problem is too little water. Another irritating factor is the constant locking of the lid. Another problem is the constant starting and stopping of the agitator. This cannot be good for the motor. Im at the point of giving away my new washer which Ive had for exactly one week. This is a totally inferior product, and I feel that I have been really ripped off.

If you come across any problem or issue with washing machine, the service person will come and will have a typical vouge glance of the washing machine.. and the inner bearing problem etc. He will arrange a call with his boss.. who also tells the same thing… and collects Rs 450/- as visiting charges and goes. They ask you to bring the Washing machine to their showroom... on account of repair they do all nonsense and do replace some parts which are not at all required...*** Instead of going to the show room first, if you take second opinion from any local repair technician... you will be shocked to know that hardly it is very minimum problem like loose connection, biting of wires by rats or other problem which would just resolved in front of us..But certainly not the Big issue as these show room service mafia does.. I have encountered the same brought the same to the notice of the Care Manager Mr.**.. But no proper answer... One should understand that there is big mafia kind of activity just betraying the customers.. Please beware of the frauds of the Whirlpool Washing machine Servicing Team..

Washer doesnt get soap out of clothes. Had tutorial from service man. Must use extra rinse every time and still have soap on dark clothes. Worst washer I have ever owned. Makes washing a lot of extra work and frustration. Have tried everything to no avail. Takes at least three times longer to wash clothes with all the steps I have to take to get soap out. I understand EPA demands for less water usage, but clothes still must be properly cleaned.

We purchased a Whirlpool fridge from Future Shop four years ago. It was delivered by professional movers and we plugged it in and smoke filled the house. We called Future Shop and very soon, another fridge arrived on the back of a pickup truck (no box or papers, etc.). This fridge is slowly ruining our kitchen floor as from time to time, we notice a puddle of water leaking from under the fridge. We called the store a few times but were told its normal for a fridge to do that in hot weather.

Have had this washer for one year. Clothes have never been clean since day one. Dark clothes come out with white marks all over. Having to use an extra rinse cycle or set on bulky items - whats the point of a high efficiency appliance? Still not clean after that anyways. Stains such as chocolate and toothpaste still remain after washing and my husband complains of finding small holes in his clothes. Lid needs to be left open at all times or you get a funky smell. I am using the HE liquid detergent, even tried a cold water product for cold washes. I hate this washer. Wish I had my 20 year old Kenmore still.

I purchased a condo last year with all appliances included. My Whirlpool refrigerator model is GI6SDRXXY00, a fairly new refrigerator. I noticed orange and moldy spots on ices when dispensing them. I changed the filter, thought maybe it is the filter causing the issue. But after inserting the new filter and emptying the entire ice tray, I still get bad ice! I open the compartment, and surprisingly, found out that the spiral rod inside the ice dispenser was rusted! This is horrible and unacceptable! This is not a user fault but a manufacturing defect. The parts that are in direct contact with what customer consumes should be robust and safe. I contacted customer service, and they gave me a technician phone number which turned out to be a third party which only cares about money. They said they will inspect the refrigerator and will charge me $134.00. I will not use this refrigerator anymore and will replace it soon. AND I will never purchase any more Whirlpool products. This manufacturer is crossed out from my list of vendors who I do business with.

We bought a Roper refrigerator about seven years ago. Less than two months later two of the cheap plastic door shelves broke and we had to buy replacements at over $20 a piece. Since then weve had to replace one more. Tonight another one broke so well have to fork over another $20+ to replace this one. I checked the Whirlpool website and they have the exact same flimsy plastic shelves as the Roper. I will be in the market to purchase at least three refrigerators in the next two years and you can bet that they wont be either Roper or Whirlpool. My advice to anyone in the market for a refrigerator to steer clear of these two brands as their shelving is cheap and shoddy.

I purchased my Whirlpool Duet washer about 14 months ago. After about 8 months, I noticed that it had started leaking. It was under warranty and the seal was replaced no problem. I then started to notice that my clothes were getting small tears in them. Around January (13 months after purchase), I got tired of finding new clothes and jackets with rips and tears in them. I finally found that the plastic piece around the entrance to the washer was rough and jagged. I called Whirlpool and they told me they could send out a service tech to file down the jagged edges. They told me this was a common problem caused by the zippers on jackets hitting the plastic and causing it to become rough. Because it was one month out of warranty, I would have to pay for the service call. The lady told me I could try filing it down myself. I feel like I should not have to file down anything 14 months after purchasing a new washer. I feel like I should not have to worry that my clothes are ruined every time I wash them. If this is a common problem as the lady told me, it appears to me to be a design flaw and should have a recall. I have lost several outfits and jackets due to this machine and I am very frustrated that Whirlpool would not stand behind their product.

We purchased Whirlpool Gold appliances because we thought that they had an excellent reputation? Wrong! Our Whirlpool refrigerator lining started cracking before the unit was 3 years old. Now its 7 years & cracks are so deep and there are so many of them, the refrigerator must be replaced. No help from Whirlpool when I called. Now remember, a refrigerator is supposed to last 14-17 years. 7 years is not acceptable! This is a known problem. If you Google refrigerator liner cracks Whirlpool youll see many of them. Unfortunately, Whirlpool will not accept responsibility for faulty design/manufacturing which leaves the consumer to be out of their hard-earned money. Before you ever buy a Whirlpool product, read the reviews and decide if Whirlpool not standing behind their products makes it worth it for you to buy them. I certainly dont recommend them! I also wish to tell you that a major crack was around the light housing and Whirlpool placed the light cover over it where it was concealed to the buyer. Youd never know it until the light cover would be removed for cleaning. Which wasnt easy to do since Whirlpool installed it with 2 sided sticky glue foam tape. Now thats really scum behavior!

I am very upset about this Washing Machine and Dryer. I did my research in 2012 and found good reviews on drum size, water usage, bells and whistles. I purchased the set in Feb of 2013 (its on Jan of 2017). NOT EVEN 3 years later, I write to say that my washing Machine is ready for replacement! I paid 989.00 for each and last year the Spring on the Glass Top was worn away, I am told because bleach was splashing up in the spring area. Cost to fix with a local repairman... $235.00. Now I noticed a small amount of water on the floor, move the washer and there is a LARGE amount of water Stain and my cycles keep popping up UL. Two separate repairmen (because I didnt believe my trusted first one) tell me the cost for the shot bearings and seals will cost almost as much as a new washer! I am a family of 3. I have a daycare so do a few extra loads, but am not using this any more than average to low use. Not to mention that on top of all of this the computer appears to be shorting out and to order a new panel the repairman places that at an EXTRA 300.00. SO UPSET! The dryer dries very nicely and is quiet however, the motor went out 6 months ago and we replaced that, not wanting to but better fix than scrapping it only 3 years into a product expected to last well over 10! The little clip on the door to lock it is also loose and hardly locks now. The repairman is having trouble even finding the small part. Young Couple Expecting to have a brand new 1900.00 washer dryer set last a long time only to be out of warranty and already needing to buy a new set! DONT EVER BUY A CABRIO WHIRLPOOL.

We bought our Whirlpool washer (WTW5700XWO) in April 2011. This machine has so many issues. Lets start with it not getting our clothes clean. Some clothes never even get wet. Then on the other hand, there are times when the clothes come out soaking wet, like it never went through the spin cycle. (We know it did because its super loud!) Recently, it started shutting off during the wash cycle. Sometimes, it doesnt release the soap or the fabric softener. I am so frustrated with this machine. There should be a recall. We paid $700 and now well need to go and shell out more of our hard earned money to buy something that actually works. I will never buy another Whirlpool appliance.

We purchased the microwave. It looked nice and seemed sturdy. I bought a trim kit to make it look Built in. As soon as I finished installing the microwave and kit we tried to use it. My wife could not get the door to open unless she pushed the door button hard several times. I checked to see if the trim kit was causing the problem and it was not. We kept trying to get the door to open as it should but could not make it work correctly. I even used a little lubricant and it did not help. We then looked up the reviews and saw this was a prevalent problem. We then returned the unit and trim and ordered a Samsung. It will be in on the 25th of March. I placed a review on Lowes site but Whirlpool removed it saying since I took it back they removed the negative review. Since it was defective I wanted the public to see the truth on this unit.

On the 27th March 2012 I bought a new Whirlpool 6th Sense washing machine S/N 411048002028 AWOE 9210 - 30 9Kg for E499.00. I brought it home and plumbed it adding in a lime filter on the water line to protect it from limescale. On the 14th September 2016 a service technician replaced the entire drum as the old one made so much noise and the ball bearings are part of the drum. On the 7th June 2013 a technician replaced the drive belt claiming that it moved if a light load was put into the machine. On the same day I added an extension of 3 years Guarantee at Euro 89.00. On the 14th October 2013 a technician examined the machine for a water leak but found nothing and charged me for the call. Out E25.00. I lived with the noise of the spin cycle ever since. The noise got steadily worse until 27th September 2016 when the machine finally packed in. I stripped the machine down to find the ball bearings on the drum completely rusted over so the drum was rotating without the cushioning. On the same day I bought a Bosch machine and decided to forget about the extra guarantee as the offending parts had already been replaced once and did not even last 4 years. I will bring it to the recycling yard later today as that is all it is good for. It was bought in Media World, Orio Center, Bergamo. It was paid for by Gianni ** who is my father-in-law and had a loyalty card for the shop.

I earlier filed a complaint about the Whirlpool Gold microwave arcing within a minute of cooking frozen green beans and causing burn holes in the food. We contacted Whirlpool’s customer service and were told that the machine was no longer under warranty, but we could have it serviced, repaired and have an additional year of warranty for $259. We took a pass on that. Further trial and error along with research helped us come to the realization that the arcing was caused by the high mineral content of the green beans. Whirlpool did not tell us this, but we found the information provided by others. We no longer cook the particular brand of green beans which seem to cause this event. The microwave is no longer arcing. You would think Whirlpool might be aware of this.

Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine: The washer was purchased in March of 2012 and malfunctioned in December 2014. After phoning Whirlpool, the machine was scheduled for repair with a factory-authorized company. The first repair attempt was unsuccessful due to a lack of parts. It took 10 days for the parts to arrive, and another unsuccessful repair attempt was made. The verdict is that a new motor control board, costing $350 plus labor, is necessary. With the delay in service and cost of repairs, I may as well buy a new machine.

We purchased our a model WTW7800XWO 7 years ago. Our lid kept falling down when loading and unloading. Very annoying. 3 years ago it failed to lock down which means the washer will not start. We learned to press down on the lid sides to get it to lock. Then it became loose where it connects to washer and we duct taped it to make it work. We put up for that for a year before having a repairman attach a new lid. 1 year later it did the same thing... And we put up with it hoping it wouldnt totally fail. Today it failed. Since the 1st repair cost 250.00 we decided that we will get a new washer rather than spend another 250.00. We will go with American made Speed Queen. I live in Florida and in December 2012, purchased a Whirlpool upright freezer from my local Badcocks. About two months after the purchase it started making this weird loud sound. I contacted Whirlpool and they sent a local appliance company technician out to check it. The technician ripped my brand new Linoleum floor when pulling out the freezer. The result was, in his opinion, nothing was wrong with it, that the loud sound was normal. As it continued, another tech came out and his opinion was it needed a new compressor. So, it was replaced and lasted about a month. I was getting something out for dinner and noticed everything in my freezer was unthawed... all that money wasted a freezer full of food gone. So, Whirlpool once again sent the same appliance company out but a different technician. This one said it that he needed to order parts which he did, a different tech came out to install the parts and told us he didnt know what they were for and our freezer didnt need the parts the previous tech ordered. So this tech put dye in the lines and left. The dye leaked out from under my freezer all over the floor which is now stained because of the dye that leaked. This is the brand new floor they had already ripped during the first service call. So, now not only is my floor ripped but stained as well.Once again, about a month later, I find my freezer full of meat unthawed a third time. Once again I called and find out they have dropped the contract with the company that came out the first two times. So they refer me to another local appliance repair, and this new tech says that it needs a new compressor. This will be the second new one in less than 6 months. They order that part and repair the freezer; this fix lasted for about three months this time. On my fourth call to Whirlpool, I expressed my frustration with losing my food and the hassle of an inferior product purchased brand new under warranty. I definitely was not satisfied with the service and the customer service representative could not find my warranty record. He was also very rude and when he finally found my record, he told me I was no longer under Whirlpool warranty. This was wrong as I have my paperwork showing date of purchase AND the four-year extended warranty we purchased as well. I asked him what they would do for me since their inferior appliance and incompetent repair technicians cost me hundreds of dollars of ruined meat and other frozen food. He said they would do nothing except have another repair tech come out. Until the freezer is determined to be unrepairable that is all they can do.So I scheduled the tech to come out the fourth time and he found that some untrained tech had put oil in the line and the lines and compressor has to be replaced and flushed. I have already not had a freezer for a week waiting for tech to come out and now the parts are put on back order for another three weeks. The fourth repair tech called Whirlpool from my home, while I was standing there, and told them that it basically is beyond repair because of the price of parts and labor. He told Whirlpool it would be cheaper to replace the freezer but Whirlpool told the tech to replace the lines and compressor and flush everything out. So three weeks later, he comes back out on 10/13/2013 to make the repairs. I bought this freezer in December 2012 for $1200 and have been dealing with issues on and off since Feb. 2013 and now its 11/29/13 and once again my freezer has stopped working. I have lost all my food because Whirlpool sold me a defective appliance and would not make it right. I have asked them to replace it and they wouldnt. My husband and I have just purchased our second house and we were very excited about the remodel coming up in the kitchen. We were going to purchase stainless steel Whirlpool appliances, but after this company has treated me so badly, I will not buy anything with the Whirlpool name for our stove, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator. We probably would have spent about $3500 on appliances, but we will purchase a different brand and give our $3500 to a company that will treat me better as a customer .I used to have trust in this company because it is well known for quality products, but I dont trust them anymore. I will advise any of my loved ones and friends not to purchase any Whirlpool appliance because of the inferior quality and lack of interest in making this situation right. I tried for almost a year and gave them 5 opportunities to do the right thing and now Im done. They dont care about the customer and that is a shame because they have lost a valued customer. As of now I have another tech coming Tuesday b/c my freezer is sitting not running again. Model #EV201NZTQ02.

We purchased a Whirlpool unit Mod#WRF535SMBM from Home Depot in Bluffton, SC. Frost and ice build up in bottom freezer of our Whirlpool unit. We have had 4 service calls since our purchase of the unit in Dec 2014 (April, May, June and Sept) with one freezer door replacement due to a faulty door liner and soon to be a second freezer door replacement due to lack of insulation in the door, along with the door slides. Each service call visit is by a different service company. The other issue is the unit is advertised as S/S. This is the first time I have had a magnet stick to S/S so I figure that the outer shell is a mere coating of some sort and not a quality S/S product.

Most of all it locks me into a contract of this is it, do or die, you have no other options but to start again. It puts my clothes in abused mode! Three days later an electrician came and upon opening the microwave box it was severely damaged. Whirlpool won’t replace it because I called one day outside their 48 hour window. They delivered me a damaged product – period. It should be replaced without question. Instead they want to send a “cosmetic tech” out to see if it can be fixed. I can’t imagine that’s a more cost-effective method for them. Completely unacceptable. I will never buy Whirlpool again based on their lack of customer service and common sense.

Whirlpool Washer W10740628A - So disappointed! I have made adjustments for a year trying to get clean clothes from this machine. Compared to my previous machine which wore out, I now use more water because only deep water wash provides enough water; I always choose double rinse because if the machine does not clean, I do not trust it to rinse effectively either. I use more Tide than previously per wash; I use more Clorox than previously per wash. Everything from tea towels to heavily soiled jeans show stains and soils after washing. Instructions say not to spread the item in the washer but allow it to stack on itself, so twisted and tangled wet clothes are the result. I try to soak and scrub all visible dirt before I start the machine now; additionally, I use a mop or plunger or my hands to thoroughly immerse the clothes in the washer, somewhat like my mother did in 1950s. What on earth is this about and what is the buyer supposed to do???

Just bought the Whirlpool 3.5 cu ft, Top Load HE washer (model WTW4815EW), but of course, the sales person did not explain that HE meant LOW WATER USAGE. Wish I had done my homework. FIRST LOAD, clothes seem to be beaten to death, and must pour in detergent before you load clothes. So, Oxyclean detergent I always used in my regular (NOT HE) washer put a hole in one towel and discolored (faded out) the others. Also seems that the fast and hard agitator would not (logically) last very long. It seems to be working very hard. Im SO disappointed. Called Whirlpool to say I dont like it. They said to call Home Depot and see what they will do about an exchange. When I did, my sales person said that almost all the washers he sells are HE. I want the old type washer back that allows me to add more water if I want, change the cycle and water levels at my discretion, add detergent when I want to, and soak clothes if I wish.

I purchased a Duet several years ago and did not have a clue as to the problems everyone was having. Over the course of ownership I called the city to determine if we had a sewer leak. I had a plumber inspect our pipes. I felt really stupid that it took me this long to figure out it was the washer. I knew it smelled like mildew and have been using vinegar, afresh, Clorox until I am blue in the face. I didnt figure out that the sewers smell was also the same as the washers until I got on line and read about these machines. Finally, I lifted up the gasket around the door and it was completely black with mold. No amount of afresh was going to fix this problem. Do not purchase these front loaders. Feel like they should have been recalled and I really dont understand why they are still in circulation. I have also been having health/breathing issues and I cant help but think the mold is causing my illness.

Three years ago I bought a Whirlpool 22 cf bottom freezer (GB2FHDXWB02) & within 2 weeks it developed its first problem. Ive had service men out 3 times (on an extended warranty) for ice buildup and leakage, presumably from the icemaker, and the problem hasnt been solved yet. I tried to open the freezer tonight and the handle pulled off in my hands, nearly sending me head over heels. This thing is a major lemon!!! Dont get me wrong: I love the design! It looks good, keeps everything at the right temps & the bottom freezer is a great idea. Id buy the same design again if I could guarantee no leakage and a handle that wont separate from the door. Now Im having problems getting the repair service to come out here again, despite the warranty. Meanwhile, the fridge is leaking onto the wood laminate floor causing damage. In May 2010, I purchased a Whirlpool WFW9750WW front load washing machine. In October 2010, the machine started making a strange noise and by December 2010, the machine sounded like a jet airplane. I called Whirlpool warranty and they sent out the appliance doctor. They looked at it and said that the bearings were shot and needed an inner basket, outer basket and one other item. They would order it and come back in a week or so. We were told not to use our machine. Ten days later, I called to check repair status and they said that the items were on back order until late January. I called Whirlpool and after several conversations and going to the second level of supervisor over a week time frame, they finally located the part and shipped it. However, it was not until the end of January 2011 (seven weeks after my call for service) that the part arrived and was installed. The sound was never right after the repair. The appliance doctor came out and told me that all washers are loud. In December 2011, the jet airplane sound returned. I called Whirlpool but I was now out of warranty. Luckily, I bought the extended warranty through Lowes. They sent out Night Owl on February 9th 2012. They diagnosed the same problem with the bearings and said they would order the parts. I called Night Owl on February 17th to check on status and they said that the parts were ordered. I called to check status again today and now the parts are on back order (same as last time) until sometime in March. Night Owl turned claim over to check on getting the machine replaced rather than repaired. I was told that this would be another five days. Its amazing how there are no parts available. I was told the repair cost for this item is over $450 as it takes two repairmen about two to three hours to complete. Issue is still not resolved. I highly recommend not buying a similar washing machine. Whirlpools product, warranty and customer service suck.

I bought this dishwasher in Nov. 2018 to replace one that was barely working. I have enjoyed using it much more than my old one. Its very quiet and does a great job of cleaning dishes, pans and silverware. The only problem we had was installing it. The leveling screws do not hold their height adjustment when the dishwasher is pushed across the floor during installation because the leveling screw pad was changed from steel to plastic and the tapped hole for the leveling screw is too loose. The effect of this - whereas the steel pad would slide the plastic pad will grab, turn and move the leveling screw out of adjustment. Especially if its tapped hole is too loose. So we went to Home Depot and bought 4 5/16 nuts and used them as lock nuts on the 4 leveling screws. This cost 50 cents. Once we installed it everything worked perfectly. It does take longer to complete a cycle than my old one - 3 hours vs. 2 but it uses less water and does a great job of cleaning. You must use a drying agent with your dish soap or it wont get dry enough. Also, if you use the short 1 hour wash it wont have as much time to dry and some dishes wont be completely dry. I usually wait to do a full wash with the normal cycle - 3 hour.

I have a double door refrigerator with a bottom freezer. It is slightly over 2 years old and has been in use for only 7 months of that time. We just got off the phone with Whirlpool service. They will cover the cost of the control panel and defrost control. The other one I paid to replace was only one month old and it failed again. In the time between that I had to have an Icing kit put in as the Ice maker was causing ice to form inside the back wall of the refrigerator. My first call to Whirlpool was very unsatisfactory. I ended up paying for the part and the service call. The second call was about the ice-maker and they were aware of the problem and sent me a repair kit for the problem. I still had to pay for repair service. So far I have paid $561.62 for their defective parts and service calls. This time my wife called (while I was taking my frozen foods to my neighbors freezer for the second time) and went through 3 people before being told the part was still under warranty and they will send a new one. When we pushed for proper service we got it. We should never have had to go through all this. We also lost over $300.00 of frozen foods. Never buy a Whirlpool refrigerator!!!

I bought front-loader WFW8540FW1 in November 2017 from Lowes. I keep having problems with the washer not turning on. I am waiting for the repairman to come. Had repair done in March, May, and now June. I have gotten new electronics for replacement from Whirlpool each time. Obviously something is defective. Is there a lemon law for washers? Hope so. Never buy Whirlpool Washer again!

I have had our new Whirlpool Cabrio Washer for about a year. I absolutely hate it. I along with all the other people that is complaining about their Cabrio. I have found it to stain my clothes, not get them clean... Sometimes not even get part of them wet. I wash every load now no matter how small on the deep water option. I still have to add about 3 to 6 gals of water after it fills to try to help them get as clean as I possible can. I have stopped using fabric softener because I believe that is what may be leaving the stains on the clothes because it doesnt dilute it. Also you cant soak clothes in the washer long enough. I know it offers a presoak but when the clothes are not getting wet... That is not soaking. I tried to fill it up and raise the lid so it wouldnt wash until I was ready for it to wash but it automatically emptied the tub after a short time.It is funny watching the clothes when washing... Even I could tell they were not going to be washed well. I thought who in the world developed this washer. Certainly no one that had ever really considered what women need to wash clothes on a daily basis. I would sell it but I dont think anyone would buy it. If there is a class action suit I would consider joining in. Whirlpool could not have spent much effort in checking this washer out. A lot of money down the drain. I did not buy the dryer because of the lint vent being on top of it. What a mess those make when you have to empty it. So I purchased a Maytag Bravos XL. Now that is a wonderful dryer! As one homemaker to another I suggest you check it out. Never had one I liked more.

Purchased water heater in 2005 with a lifetime warranty. We had our first problem May 30, 2013. Water would not heat above lukewarm. Called Whirlpool. Our plumber and Whirlpool determined that the temp sensor was defective. Plumber took it off and it appeared it had shorted out as the wires were black and plastic coating had slightly melted in one spot. We had replacement part in 24 hours. Licensed Plumber did repair (2 hours @ $75/hr = $150). Second problem occurred October 23, 2013. Not even 5 months later! No hot water. Hit reset button, turned temp up. No change. The diagnostic light on water heater indicated it was the same problem as before. Called Whirlpool. They sent out repair part which arrived in 24 hours. Licensed Plumber repaired (1.5 hours @ $75/hour = $112.50).I took a picture of the melted plastic caps where the wires screw into, of the housing around the wires, of the melted, charcoal crispy black of the Junction Box in the area that was directly above and covered the wires and sensor panel. It was much worse than last time. Plumber said that the part that screwed into the plastic cap had to be pried out and it broke off. You could see that this might be the spot where the problem started. We feel fortunate that we didnt have an electrical fire start from this problem. Something isnt right. Within less than 5 months, we have spent $262.50 to repair a water heater that has a lifetime warranty. Id like to give this 0 stars. Whirlpool owes us $262.50 and it might be more before this is all said and done.

We purchased this machine new less than 6 months ago. We found that it is not cleaning our jeans. We cant even work cattle and get our jeans clean. I called Sears and Whirlpool and told them it does not clean our jeans. They said it was under warranty and that they would come out to see if it was working properly. Well they said it was and then sent us a bill for $77. They said Customer Instruct was not covered under warranty. I already read the instructions and I knew how to operate this machine. The technician said this is not the first time he has had this type of complaint. Anyway I am VERY dissatisfied with this washing machine and I want Sears and Whirlpool to take it back and give me a better machine. I want one that can get clothes clean. If you are satisfied with dirty clothes then I guess you will like this machine.

Purchased the Whirlpool electric range with aqua lift technology. Have the stove for 21/2 yrs and have tried contacting Whirlpool on numerous occasions. Email and telephone. Only response I get from them, is that Im doing something wrong. How can you do anything wrong? Add water, push button. I finally put in a call to World Headquarters but had to leave message and nobody has returned call. I finally called a whirlpool serviceman and he told me the Aqua lift is not a true self cleaning oven. The temperatures dont get hot enough. It was meant to just loosen the dirt on the bottom and then you have to scrub. The button you press to start the process on the stove states SELF CLEANING. I believe they have mislead the public with their advertising. Im thinking about any options I may have.

We purchased a new Whirlpool dishwasher in June of 2014. By February 2015 the racks were rusting. I called loses warranty and they referred me to Whirlpool since it was still under a year old and covered by the manufacturer warranty. They said no problem and would have new ones sent out. Three months later I still did not get them. I called them back and they said that they were not covering them due to rust being normal. This is the absolute worst customer service and it says a lot about how Whirlpool stands behind their products.

I purchased a WhirlPool dishwasher in 2016. The primary motor had to be replaced in 2018. WP paid for the part; however, I had to cover the labor, which was expensive. In 2019 the drying element broke. Again, WP will replace the part but leave me to cover the labor. Ive decided to purchase a new dishwasher (none of the Whirlpool brands) with a 5 year warranty. I will never purchase another WP product and recommend everyone avoid all of their brands. Heres the list of brands you should avoid. https://www.whirlpoolcorp.com/brands-we-love/

I purchased this washer (Whirlpool Cabrio HE) 2 years ago against the advise of many people including my husband due to the cost, $850 for what is now no more than a large paper weight! It had never really done a good job at cleaning our clothes. About 6 months ago, it started not spinning enough to remove all the water from the load. I thought, no big deal, I will just use the extra spin cycle. It became the normal thing - wash, spin, extra spin. Well, then it became wash, spin, extra spin, extra spin. I noticed 3 months ago that it was not even agitating. It fills up, sounds like it is agitating and then drains. There was no movement from inside at all. All along I am getting from my husband. told you not to buy it! I gave in and called the repairman - $185 for a console, $26 for a sensor and $55 for a couple of drum clips and then the $35/hour for the repairs. I would rather spend a couple hundred dollars and buy a washer with an agitator that really works. I would never recommend this washer to anyone!

Very disappointed and recommend that you do not purchase this machine.

Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Option - Very stylish. Well built - very solid and heavy constructions. Full features from quick wash to sanitary wash, very energy efficient, steam setting on dryer for touch-ups. Quick loads, etc. We were looking for a washer and dryer set that would accommodate large quilts and blankets and still have the flexibility to handle small and delicate loads, and be energy efficient. The Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum Option is solidly built and very sturdy. It handles small and large loads and is very energy efficient. Both the washer and dryer handle sheets and pillowcases without a problem. Wed recommend them to anyone.

Very disappointed with this refrigerator. Not even 10 years old and we have had it repaired 2 times plus my husband had to dismantle ice maker and take the back off inside of the freezer, using the blow dryer to thaw out the tube and manually blow in a tube to open the drain. The water leaking to the bottom of the fridge and into cold meat drawer and fruit keeper drawer. It eventually runs onto the floor if I dont catch it. This has been an ongoing problem for 6 years now. Today was another bill to the repairman for this problem. Very disgusted. This time he only thawed it out, the time before he replaced a part and thawed it out. I know he will be back because thawing is only a temporary fix because my husband did this numerous times, like every couple of months. Never again will I buy a Whirlpool refrigerator! I gave my daughter my old refrigerator and its over 20 years old and never had a repair! My current refrigerator is Model # ETICHMXKB03 with ice maker. Top freezer.

I own a Whirlpool Cabrio washer, model #WTW7800XWO. The lid to the washer has completely detached for lack of a better word. It literally blew-off during the spin cycle and is hanging on by one hinge. My husband is disabled and I have had to go without using the washer for several days, waiting on a repair person not to mention the expense that will be incurred. This was a very potentially dangerous situation. My washer is barely older than one year. To add insult to injury, when I contacted the customer service department, I was told I would have to purchase and replace the lid or pay $299.00 for warranty insurance to have it covered because this is not considered a Quality Control issue. The service person has told me that both hinges and the lid will have to be ordered and replaced, leaving me without a washer for several more days. No one has been able to tell me why this happened. I fear this happening again after repair and do not feel safe with this washer. I would appreciate a response as soon as possible.

My Whirlpool microwave oven is terrible. The whole point of a microwave is to cook things faster and make ones life easier. The main problem is food doesnt actually cook due to sensors. Cooking bacon, for example, should be a simple, quick item that easily cooks in a microwave within minutes. Not w/ this Whirlpool! The sensor would not allow the bacon to cook - even after 20 minutes of trying!! Foods such as Bob Evans family sized mashed potatoes cant be cooked either. The sensor in this microwave ensures that only the outer layer is hot while the middle is stone cold. Also, the fan has never worked from day 1, and were now on 6 months of ownership. This wasnt a cheap microwave either, so Im SOL. Please dont make the mistake I made. Dont buy Whirlpool.

Please do yourself a favor and stay away from both Whirlpool and this unit.
Please do yourself a favor and stay away from both Whirlpool and this unit. I purchased it from a local dealership and paid $881.00 which included tax and delivery cost. In less than 2 years, it broke. Whirlpool does not offer a warranty on the unit. After having a Whirlpool repair person come out for a cost of $75.00, I was informed that the parts to replace would cost $800.00 not counting additional labor cost which was TBD. I contacted Whirlpool and went from Agent (Phylicia) to supervisor (Ashley) to Manager (Carol **). The best offer I was given was to buy the parts at a discount of $400.00 which did not include tax, delivery or labor. So it would have run approx. $550.00 to over $600.00 to fix a $771.00 washer. My next letter is to Jeff Fettig (553 Benson Rd, Benton Harbor, MI 49022/ CIO of Whirlpool) to let him know how impressed I am with his product and customer service support. The next Whirlpool item I buy will be never. Take this as a word of warning to go Maytag or any other vendor because Whirlpool will not support you once the sale has been completed. Good Luck.

We purchased our oven new in a package deal with the rest of our kitchen appliances four years ago. The bottom heating element in the oven has already stopped working. Every oven I have seen in my life has lasted a minimum of 15 years, and most 20. All I can say is DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL APPLIANCES! In the past 4 years, weve had the repair technician work on the Whirlpool refrigerator (once), dishwasher (3 times), and microwave (3 times). Now, the stove isnt working correctly, making this a total of 8 home visits by the Whirlpool repairman. Whirlpool is manufacturing trash for the landfill now, not quality lasting appliances.

I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine (model: AW01D8810 S silver color) and a Whirlpool refrigerator (model: WBM329 TI) together from United Arab Emirates for Dhs 1999/- & Dhs 1199 /- respectively on 28 Jan. 2011. I sent this machine to my hometown (India) in the same packing and I used the washing machine only for three months and found a complaint. I informed this to service center in Trivandrum, Kerala. Their team came to my home and told me that warranty cannot be given as I purchased machine overseas. They added that the PCB for the machine is having complaint and they dont have stock in India. Also, the machine is no longer available in the factory. The Whirlpool company completely stopped manufacturing the abovementioned model. Again, I came to UAE and contacted GEC group of companies for the PCB part. I got a quotation for PCB Dhs 425/- but the items is ex-stock with them. The machine cost only Dhs 1999/- and if I spend Dh425/- only for PCB, and the machine is with me for the parts since one and half years. I dont know what to do. If I spend another Dhs 600 + this PCB cost then Id rather go for another new branded washing machine. The model of machine is AWO1D8810S and serial no. is 12 nc 859247463000 003. Please advise what to do or if I can find the PCB in Kerala. What will be the cost? I am ready to pay the money for PCB but not for the above rates. Please advise, sir.

Bought a Whirlpool refrigerator and now it is dead after only 3 years - the gas is gone. The Dealer at Budget Appliance Surrey told us it was not a good fridge to begin with (but sold it to us for $900.00) and that Whirlpool had made a lot of fridges cheaply to begin with... So it was not their (Budgets) fault. When I contacted Whirlpool they were really too big to listen to my complaint and even though I had the receipt, they did not care to hear my complaint either. After many phone calls and letters to Whirlpool about the AquaLift cleaning system in their new stoves, that does not work at all. I finally spoke to someone at the corporate office with a brain! I am happy because Whirlpool refunded my money and removed the stove. That was the outcome I was looking for as this new steam clean thing of theirs does not work on a dirty oven. Hopefully, they will work on improving these stoves and restore consumer confidence once again.
